00:00:00.000 If you cannot hold it, you don't own it.
00:00:05.960 Central banks have been buying gold like crazy.
00:00:08.140 Value your wealth in ounces versus depreciating currencies.
00:00:17.060 Welcome to The Real Money Show.
00:00:18.780 Great to be with you.
00:00:20.300 We've got some great information for you throughout the next half hour about physical
00:00:25.220 gold and silver, and a lot of it is very, very exciting.
00:00:28.780 And, of course, there's been the pullback, we'd say, almost over the course of the year now since January.
00:00:36.060 And what we would say is if you loved silver at $100, you should be ecstatic at $50.
00:00:42.920 And some of the information we're going to bring to you today should hopefully get you excited about the future of precious metals and not worry so much about the current price situation.
00:00:52.760 We should look at it as a gift ultimately.
00:00:55.440 So, you know, Jerry, hopefully we'll get to the Bank of Canada raised interest rates, and we want to have a discussion about that. But really, what I've noticed is, let's start with the psyops. There's been a couple of articles recently that have come out about gold being lab grown, alchemy, if you will. 0.59
00:01:20.660 I noticed that, and I put a post out on our X, that there's been 11 of these articles over the last 14 years.
00:01:30.560 The most recent is that they've managed to turn mercury into gold.
00:01:37.940 Social media is abuzz.
00:01:39.860 Tell us a little bit about that.
00:01:41.520 Should we be worried about our jobs?
00:01:43.140 Well, I think talking about the relevancy of gold and silver, still very relevant, always has been.
00:01:50.240 always will, even through all of the different types of news items and news things that come
00:01:57.400 out regarding the changing of the industry. We've heard about gold 2.0. Bitcoin was going to replace
00:02:03.180 gold. Tether, the stable coin, being a replacement for stability. But we know that Tether went out
00:02:10.960 and accumulated tons of gold, the number one gold buyer last year. We follow smart money. And if the
00:02:16.520 smart money continues to buy gold. The countries and their central banks acquiring over 1,000 tons
00:02:21.400 of gold. But Alchemy, this has never worked. They've even proposed replacing gold and silver
00:02:30.440 from industrial applications, replacing gold from space shuttles going on to space. They did that
00:02:40.480 actually to the point where the door fell off of the space shuttle. These are very unique assets,
00:02:46.140 It's not just monetary precious metals.
00:02:48.100 These are elements on the table of elements with unique properties, properties that are applicable in industries, especially silver, as we know.
00:02:57.920 But these are monetary assets, and they have qualified as money over thousands of years.
00:03:05.380 There's only two precious metals, gold and silver, that has survived in the test of time.
00:03:11.060 As currencies come and go, gold and silver remain.
00:03:13.740 And we know that all of this is just noise that you have to filter through.
00:03:18.120 And in my personal opinion, it's there to dissuade and put you into analysis paralysis mode.
00:03:24.640 And at the end of it all, you just keep your head in the sand and do nothing about it.
00:03:29.080 Well, you know, what I noticed is people really jumped onto this, that they've been able to take Mercury and these isotopes and create gold out of it.
00:03:40.220 Of course, what most of the people on social media aren't telling you, if they read the articles, is that it's basically radiated for 12 years.
00:03:49.960 Right.
00:03:50.140 So you can't touch it for 12 years.
00:03:52.240 And I think that they, at max, what they think that they could produce is like two tons when they're going through a lot more than that every single year. 0.81
00:04:02.620 So it's ridiculous on its face.
00:04:05.020 And the fact is, is that even if it was possible, and even if you could scale it, it's going
00:04:08.820 to be a very long time before you can actually even touch the stuff.
00:04:12.680 So look, alchemy has been around since time immemorial, and ultimately, that's what it
00:04:18.960 is.
00:04:19.260 It's just, we're going to try to sell you this.
00:04:21.780 We want you to invest in this company.
00:04:24.440 And that's what it is.
00:04:25.520 And they just seem to find these companies and these scams at the same time that they're
00:04:30.520 also looking for lower prices.
00:04:32.200 So another article came out as well this week talking about copper being a perfect replacement for silver in AI.
00:04:41.640 Of course, it doesn't conduct thermally as well as silver, and it doesn't conduct electrically as well as silver.
00:04:49.520 And when it tarnishes, as you know, it turns blue, and that can gunk up connectors.
00:04:54.940 Correct.
00:04:55.100 So, and what it doesn't tell you as well is that you need a whole lot more of it to do the same thing that silver does.
00:05:03.300 So I get that it's cheaper.
00:05:05.100 Price per ton.
00:05:05.620 But it's not always what you're looking for, right?
00:05:07.920 Exactly.
00:05:08.100 It's not running as efficiently and all of these things.
00:05:11.380 So I made a comment.
00:05:13.660 I was like, this is like, you're going back in time from iPhones to Commodore 64s, right? 0.97
00:05:19.880 So again, silly on its face. 0.94
00:05:22.660 Right. 0.94
00:05:22.880 So let's talk about what's actually happening.
00:05:25.100 In the silver market, for instance, someone I follow, he's always tracking these type of things.
00:05:31.700 Bob Coleman put out a silver ETF alert.
00:05:34.860 He mentioned that shares continue to grow.
00:05:38.240 They're at over half a billion shares, 1.35 million ounces.
00:05:44.880 They are at the highest that they've been since the market was $30 lower.
00:05:50.900 So the ETFs are increasing demand even though the market is $30 lower.
00:05:59.200 That has got to be exciting news.
00:06:01.120 It's very exciting.
00:06:02.380 And it also is significant as you always need more and more of the fractional stuff, the shares of the real thing, to keep that market going, to keep the interest going.
00:06:13.580 You'll always need more and more, similar to debt and the interest on the debt.
00:06:17.780 Because of the interest rates that just went up in Canada, the US kept their interest rates flat, the European Union flat, but you will now need more and more currency printed, not just for the banks or the country that is also in debt.
00:06:33.660 They need more debt, but as well, the Canadians need more debt as well.
00:06:38.180 They need to borrow more, get more loans to service the debt.
00:06:41.220 It's a debt cycle.
00:06:42.020 Well, we'll jump into that in just a moment, but you're talking about needing more paper, right?
00:06:47.020 So Bob Coleman was saying that what you would see is that silver market could be at a point where the short side has pressed the market to the point, hoping the longs would capitulate.
00:06:58.780 Instead, capital inflows into the ETF continue.
00:07:02.960 We could see a rally develop as the supply of offers begin to dry up, meaning those who are short end up with a liquidity squeeze and the market could jump up.
00:07:14.980 And so, what you're seeing right now is, in my mind, a mirroring of what we saw back in January. That was an amplification. It had some issues with the market itself that caused it to move higher as a result. And this is the same sort of market mechanics working on the opposite side.
00:07:34.820 So we've gone from over to way under, and I think it's a buying opportunity.
00:07:40.200 I really liked when I saw Craig Hemke this week talking to Sprott, and he's a billionaire.
00:07:48.520 He owns a lot of silver, a lot of gold, no panic, just saying, you've got to be patient
00:07:53.000 here.
00:07:53.720 You don't think like a trader.
00:07:55.120 You think like someone who's protecting against the long term of devaluing dollars, and that
00:08:00.240 leads into the debts.
00:08:01.560 And that leads into the debts.
00:08:02.860 You know, with debt, this perpetual debt cycle, not just here in Canada, but it's happening around the world and has led to immense loss of purchasing power. And that's the major viewpoint that I have. Everything that we own as an asset is denominated in a currency that is being devalued.
00:08:20.680 the rate by which we don't, you don't know exactly what that rate of devaluation is.
00:08:25.140 The rate of inflation is stated being around 3%. But according to the Stats Canada reports,
00:08:32.920 that there was, we often talk about how the rate of inflation was changed because during the 70s,
00:08:38.760 Jeremy, the average rate of inflation was 8%, as high as 12.4% in 1974. But then during that time,
00:08:48.240 there were four revisions of how they calculated the cpi specifically the expenditure weight so
00:08:58.360 as we know when you're calculating a uh inflation there's housing food you know mortgage costs all
00:09:04.240 of these things each of those categories have a particular influence percentage the weight
00:09:09.240 this this category has a higher weight but even if the price let's say for example food goes up
00:09:16.200 10%, and you reduce the influence or the weight of the food category from 25 down to 15%, you can
00:09:25.420 actually drop the rate of inflation while price is continually right. It's a huge issue that we
00:09:31.320 have with our purchasing power. Okay. So that explains though how they were able to get
00:09:37.360 inflation down, but now you have a central bank like in Canada where they raised interest rates
00:09:43.760 saying inflation is up, right? So yes, you can say, okay, if people are not spending as much
00:09:52.460 going out for dinners, that lowers that index, that would actually bring down inflation. But
00:09:58.040 the Bank of Canada is saying we have to guard against inflation. So there's no productivity
00:10:04.420 in Canada. There's no productivity, but you're still seeing inflation. So it's a stagflationary
00:10:10.380 thing. Absolutely. Why are they fighting it? What is causing inflation to rise that they have to
00:10:14.860 fight it? Well, it's the money printing that we have seen. Since 2020, the Bank of Canada
00:10:21.660 started printing ad nauseum. The Bank of Canada raised for COVID relief during the COVID lockdown
00:10:29.440 era. About 400% of our GDP was printed. So the four times the size of our economy,
00:10:36.460 currency went out the door and you cannot turn that down inflation is out the door i mean you
00:10:42.740 can't lower that you have to have growth on the offset of that inflation which we don't have in
00:10:47.920 canada it's a stagflationary environment which benefits precious metals and people are looking
00:10:53.800 and the thing with yields that you're getting inside of the bank unfortunately because if the
00:10:59.840 real rate of inflation if we go back to the way it was calculated with normal weights and measures
00:11:05.320 back in the 70s. We can go back to 13% to 15%. Larry Summers from Harvard, he revealed that in
00:11:12.920 2022, the posted rate was 9%. Remember the 40-year high inflation? It was actually 18% if you
00:11:19.280 included mortgage costs. So what type of yield are you getting from your GIC? And if you adjust
00:11:24.840 it for real rates, you're losing. But because your funds are stagnant in the banking system,
00:11:31.000 They can continue this perpetual debt cycle, which ultimately is stagflationary.
00:11:36.440 High inflation, low growth, and we have a way out.
00:11:40.480 In some ways, what you're suggesting here, though, is that inflation is much higher than
00:11:46.140 the Bank of Canada is even saying.
00:11:48.020 And if that is the case, then they should be raising rates way higher.
00:11:52.200 But here's my rebuttal to that.
00:11:54.440 The thing is, is that you have no growth and you're claiming inflation.
00:11:58.900 So how is this working?
00:11:59.960 And what I'm seeing is the Bank of Canada is having to go out, find buyers for the debt. The interest rate that they're charging is ultimately charged, has to be paid back by Canadians. And what they're also paying for is the inflation itself being caused by, as you said, the debt, right?
00:12:20.640 So not only are we paying for the reason of it, but we're paying for the cure.
00:12:27.280 So we're getting double the whammy on it because we didn't ask for this inflation.
00:12:33.320 We didn't ask to borrow this money.
00:12:35.040 We didn't ask to where it's going.
00:12:36.800 We weren't asked where it's going.
00:12:38.700 So this inflation of having to pay debt is what's drawing our dollar purchasing power down.
00:12:47.520 Yes.
00:12:47.880 It's not, the Bank of Canada isn't fighting production.
00:12:52.720 They're not saying the economy is so hot, we have to try to slow it down.
00:12:56.980 They're effectively saying without, you know, by omission, that the government's borrowed too much money.
00:13:04.000 It's affecting inflation because there's so much dollars out there.
00:13:08.200 Eventually, that rises into inflation, which we've all seen.
00:13:11.080 You took your CERB check.
00:13:12.480 Yeah.
00:13:12.900 And now-
00:13:13.740 Hopefully not.
00:13:14.320 And now you have to pay for it.
00:13:15.520 Oh, yeah.
00:13:16.000 paying for it at the grocery store, and you're paying for it at the gas station because they're
00:13:19.800 not lowering taxes. As the prices rise, you're still paying 13% in Ontario on everything that
00:13:26.260 you're buying. As the prices rise, you'd think, okay, we're getting enough into the market.
00:13:31.680 But this is the exact nature of the type of banking system that we're dealing with,
00:13:37.020 a debt-based financial system. Talking about even the silver ETFs, that's a fraction.
00:13:42.140 The fractional banking system that we're exposed to here in Canada with our deposits, it's also a fraction.
00:13:48.340 Using the collateral, what is relevant, what is being sort of made fun of or scoffed at or demonized,
00:13:54.780 the main focus is on gold and silver.
00:13:56.540 Well, we can make gold and silver.
00:13:57.780 Why are you even focusing on the money, on the real collateral?
00:14:00.640 There's a reason for this disinformation because our attention cannot be on that.
00:14:06.420 But I think the stealth inflation is no more.
00:14:09.340 And the fact that we are now aware that we have a shift out of the debt-based financial system, and the exciting news is a transition away from that type of system, fiat systems, and they all crack at the seams and the run to precious metals will be explosive.
00:14:26.780 That's a permanent portfolio strategist that gave us that quote.
00:14:30.760 And the future looks very bright despite the temporary headwinds in precious metals, primarily driven by the midterms.
00:14:37.220 I like your points. I just want to stick on the rise in interest rate because what they're doing
00:14:42.680 is they want you to pay for what they're doing of borrowing the money, right? So you're getting it
00:14:48.860 twice. And the only way to break the system is to not accept the CERB check. And the only way
00:14:55.180 to not accept the CERB check or to take the CERB check and go buy gold with it. And I think right
00:15:00.020 now, you see the lows in the gold and silver market, and you don't think that it's going to
00:15:07.260 do its job. You're looking at the real medicine, and you're going, look, this doesn't look like
00:15:12.920 it's actually going to help me to recover the loss of the purchasing power. To understand that,
00:15:22.140 you have to go back five years, 10 years, 15, 20 years, to understand that the markets rise
00:15:29.600 over time. We don't want to look at the six month or even a year. Look, even on those cases,
00:15:37.100 we've had three down years in the last 20 years in gold. All of them have been in low single
00:15:42.800 digits, if at all. Those are very small against the gains. I think that you just have to break
00:15:50.260 the toxic cycle of what the government's trying to keep you in, which is this kind of chicken
00:15:55.460 in the egg. We don't know where inflation's coming from, but we've got to fight it somehow,
00:16:00.160 right? So I just think take advantage of the low prices in the gold market right now because it
00:16:06.660 is a gift. They're telling you, look, you can buy silver this cheap. This is your chance. If you
00:16:12.640 understand what's up against you, then you know how to break out of it. And that's why we believe
00:16:17.380 in in physical assets right you know getting over the hump of realizing that the rate of inflation
00:16:25.880 is not what it is but you when you see price price is kind of being translated to us as a gauge
00:16:34.220 you know gold and silver have pulled back you know silver especially over 50 since january
00:16:40.300 to the sweet spot of $50, $52 US heading into this midterm season.
00:16:48.120 Now, what's very interesting, Jeremy, and I pulled this up,
00:16:50.460 and this is information from goldprice.com and the LBMA fix.
00:16:54.160 What is very interesting, over the past 20 years or even going back 50 years,
00:17:00.560 right after the election, the midterm elections, when all of the volatility-
00:17:05.360 Everything settled down.
00:17:06.520 Everyone knows what's going on.
00:17:08.020 Right.
00:17:08.900 Precious metals continue to perform, perform about 5% after three months after midterms
00:17:14.620 and about back to double digits after a year.
00:17:19.040 But seasonality as well after midterm elections plus seasonality in precious metals going
00:17:24.800 back 40 years, we see that gold performs very well in these times of November, December,
00:17:31.220 just like last year when silver launched from $50 up to $120 because of the paper and a lot of the
00:17:41.560 margin and leverage that was in the market. That is now wiped out. The fundamental driver still
00:17:46.420 remained, which is physical demand. And I think the theme over the last, talking about keeping
00:17:52.580 money where it is and status quo, there's a quote by Mark Twain. I think it resonates for most of
00:17:57.900 our investors, Jeremy. People are today, yes, we want return to beat the inflation rate which
00:18:03.860 gold and silver provide. Gold has performed very well over the last few years. Some people are up
00:18:09.280 to 300% in the portfolios, defying all of those things. People are more concerned about the return
00:18:15.000 of their money than the return on their money. And access to your money, you better have access
00:18:22.540 to it. If you can't hold it, you don't own it. That's one of our mottos. And then we saw this
00:18:27.080 with the fractional reserve banking system
00:18:28.900 when people tried to get their money out of the bank.
00:18:31.220 So they're trying to quell those concerns.
00:18:33.160 We're seeing commercials from CDIC
00:18:34.900 telling us that the banks are covered.
00:18:37.020 Don't worry about if there's ever a folding of the banks.
00:18:40.160 And then similar,
00:18:41.900 Jamie Dimon spoke this week about gold,
00:18:44.360 talking about protecting the US system
00:18:46.640 and particularly the banks.
00:18:48.060 He brought up gold.
00:18:49.200 Well, the credibility is shot,
00:18:51.440 but he's saying that we can provide you
00:18:54.040 with the gold when necessary.
00:18:55.380 But that's not the case. When people want their money back, when the credibility is shot, they want to take control of their money. And that's what people are doing today.
00:19:03.580 Yeah, I think it's interesting that Jamie Dimon, number one, even brought up gold. Why is this guy talking about gold all of a sudden, right?
00:19:11.000 Number two, talking about those countries that want to repatriate their gold and trying to, in some ways, very casually encourage them to not do that.
00:19:20.940 right um i think that's an interesting thing why he would talk about it at all uh if it were if it
00:19:27.740 were our clients we we would be encouraging them to diversify yeah we'd say yeah take it home
00:19:32.600 absolutely have some at home but you might want some in the united states to uh just in case you're
00:19:39.080 doing trade deals in great in case there's you know imbalances you might want to take care of
00:19:45.240 it's a great place to trade that might be one of the reasons why are they bringing it home maybe
00:19:50.500 They don't believe that it's a good place to store it, in which case, all right, we understand, but we hope that in another few years, you might want to bring it.
00:19:57.980 But I think ultimately that everything that we're talking about today is what I keep thinking about is, okay, we're on the verge of November.
00:20:08.180 We're on the verge of the midterms.
00:20:10.820 Everything seems to have gone quiet, right?
00:20:15.300 The cryptocurrency acts, the clarity act, the trying to get peace deals together, all of these things seem to have gone quiet.
00:20:25.920 It's we're all going to wait till after the midterms.
00:20:30.000 And then you bring out that information that you said where it shows that things can start
00:20:34.960 to really happen in the gold and silver market.
00:20:37.120 And you start to get excited because you realize, okay, in another couple of weeks now, the
00:20:42.380 price is probably most likely moving higher.
00:20:45.340 We call it pennies to the down, dollars to the ups.
00:20:48.560 What are you waiting for?
00:20:49.820 Silver to drop to $20 again?
00:20:51.780 Do you know what happens?
00:20:53.040 Mine's shut down.
00:20:53.900 Exactly. There's already a strike on a major mine in Mexico. Believe me, price starts to
00:21:02.000 drop to a level where the miners just go, we're not making any money here. We don't need to keep
00:21:06.140 doing this. Just shut the door. We'll hoard it. We'll hoard it. So this isn't a stock that can
00:21:11.500 drop to zero. Gold and silver can't drop to zero. So where's the low in the market? We feel we're
00:21:16.440 pretty much there. So it's as exciting as it can be knowing just like last year, any minute it
00:21:22.420 could turn around and start to move up very quickly. It can go up quickly. It can come down
00:21:27.000 quickly. You can go down quickly. Guess what? It can go up quickly. So I think we have to look at
00:21:32.580 the sale that we have right now. For those who already own it, just exercise some patience.
00:21:38.640 Give it a couple of weeks. I think you're going to start to see some exciting things. If you've
00:21:41.960 never owned it before, you can contact Guildhall and we'll show you how to get involved in the
00:21:47.020 market. You can go to our e-store, guildhallpreciousmetals.com, and you can even set
00:21:52.700 a price alert there. So if you might want to say, well, if it breaks above 56, I want to get back
00:21:58.240 in the market, that could be a really good thing. Go to the price alert. But if you also want to
00:22:03.300 hold physical, we talked about ETFs being an investment. With physical gold and silver,
00:22:09.860 you can hold that actually in your RSP, and that is going to be stored, allocated, segregated. So
00:22:16.660 You're going to get your serial numbers.
00:22:17.940 It's going to be stored in a Brinks vault, which is outside the banking system, which
00:22:23.160 is exactly what we're talking about here.
00:22:25.200 Get out of the banking system.
00:22:27.060 Own assets.
00:22:28.300 One-to-one, you're not owning a fraction of a share of something with counterparty risk.
00:22:34.280 You have access to the vault.
00:22:36.700 Enjoy it while it's in the RSP so you're sheltering from all of the taxes.
00:22:41.100 But as you grow this asset, when you're up to 300%, and we're expecting multiplication
00:22:45.900 from here, Jeremy. The best is yet to come. Silver and gold are coiled springs, the most relevant
00:22:50.960 asset class, monetary precious metals. When we have a currency problem, it is imperative that
00:22:56.220 you get money. You get monetary metals. Copper is important. Base metals are important. Critical
00:23:01.940 minerals are important. However, gold and silver, they're the only two precious because that word
00:23:06.320 precious connotates that they're money, that they're so intrinsic in value. So, Jerry, at this
00:23:11.880 point, I feel like we might be accused of being permables. So let's quickly talk about what it
00:23:19.260 would look like for you or I to start selling some of our precious metals. What kind of things
00:23:26.220 would you be looking for to say, you know what, I'm willing to sell a little now?
00:23:31.480 Okay. So we look at the trends from demand, which we see despite low investor demand,
00:23:39.000 India is saying we're buying 6,500 tons within six months. That's massive.
00:23:43.960 What did they say? Not registered it, but they basically allotted for it to say this is how
00:23:49.200 much we would accept. You got to do that to give the dealers and wholesalers a chance to
00:23:54.600 figure things out because there's no supply. Talk about burying the lead, buddy. You brought
00:23:58.920 it out right at the end. No, well, this is relevant stuff. We look at the trends, of course.
00:24:03.760 Then we look at cycles. With precious metals, investors like myself, who are also a currency
00:24:08.420 trader. We use trends and we use ratios like the 50-year super cycles that are still in play. This
00:24:14.340 third super cycle is in play. A lot of topside potentials ahead. What do you do? We look at
00:24:19.900 silver to gold ratio, silver to Dow ratio, gold to Dow, gold to real estate, silver to real estate.
00:24:25.320 There are times where you may want to roll out depending on your goal. Is your goal just to
00:24:29.400 preserve your purchasing power? Or are you an investor who can afford, are you someone who
00:24:35.600 can't afford a home and it's housing affordability for you. Well, 2,000 ounces of silver back in the
00:24:41.140 80s when silver to gold ratio hit 16 to 1 bought you a house in Toronto. A house right now is about
00:24:46.620 1.3. 4.490 US dollars, which is where we can see this happening, multiply by 2,000 ounces,
00:24:55.860 convert it to the weak limit. Yeah, right now it's something like probably 30,000 ounces or
00:24:59.420 something. So these are strategies that we employ depending on where you're at and what your goals
00:25:03.700 or we want to strategize that for you? Yeah, I think there's two things that I would want to
00:25:08.440 be looking for. The ratios are a key point because, and it's not just one ratio, it's the fact that
00:25:13.960 what you're looking for is understanding whether or not it's undervalued, fair value, or overvalue.
00:25:20.520 And that's what those ratios will help you do. And it's not just one, it's looking at all of
00:25:24.700 them together. And so for example, you see in silver, it will fall, that ratio between gold
00:25:29.740 and silver will fall when they're on a run, right? We came down from, I think, 80 down to 50,
00:25:36.400 right? So you can look at that as one indicator. The biggest one, I think, is understanding sound
00:25:42.640 money. That you have a currency that you can have faith in, that you can make economic decisions
00:25:50.840 long-term with, right? That's the key. Because in the currency that we have, everything we've
00:25:55.520 discussed on the show today is about the fact that inflation robs you of that purchasing power,
00:26:00.460 which robs you of the ability to make decisions long term. Now, if you're making a lot of money,
00:26:05.100 then maybe you don't care because you're overcoming it, right? But for other people
00:26:09.480 who care about their wealth, not that they don't care about their wealth, I should say, but
00:26:12.780 that have to really think about it, you need to make sure that you're protecting it long term,
00:26:21.040 Yes. That in 10, 20, 30 years, you're able to buy the same amount of stuff. And I think that a sound money system provides that for you. And how do you know that? Part of it is a feeling you'd feel comfortable that you don't feel like you did in 2018, 0% interest rates.
00:26:43.300 I'm forced to take risk to make money in the markets because I'm not getting a solid rate.
00:26:49.940 That actually could be another one, by the way.
00:26:52.700 True.
00:26:53.400 Back in the 80s, although maybe I should rethink it, but the rate that you were getting was below the actual inflation rate.
00:27:02.720 Right.
00:27:03.100 Meaning the banks had to fight for your money.
00:27:06.020 Right.
00:27:06.740 So that would be another situation.
00:27:08.880 Not just the excuse that rates have gone up, that's a reason to not hold gold.
00:27:13.720 That's not enough.
00:27:14.800 What you're looking for is that the rate of return I'm getting is better than the rate
00:27:18.540 of inflation, and so I'm actually saving money.
00:27:21.620 Right now, there's a war on savers.
00:27:23.820 So these type of issues that part of it is ratio-based, you can see if it's undervalued,
00:27:30.020 fair, or over, and the other side of it is that feeling of sound money happening.
00:27:35.780 And maybe we actually get that with the cryptos and stable coins, a new financial system.
00:27:47.440 Maybe you see it.
00:27:48.900 And until you see it, I think like Egon von Gryertz of Matterhorn Asset Management would
00:27:55.020 say the same.
00:27:55.860 I'm holding till I feel that those things have changed and I can make those decisions
00:28:00.780 long term.
00:28:02.060 I'm in good shape.
00:28:03.240 Yeah, absolutely.
00:28:03.760 This is the control that you get back. Gold is neutral, which is why it's a neutral asset, a neutral monetary asset. This is why it's being sought after. And it's always the fundamental starting point for any financial reset.
00:28:18.620 And why we're so excited is this reset is happening with sound money principles that is being spearheaded with resources, unlocking the wealth of the resources that are in the ground.
00:28:34.700 Obviously, there are conflicting forces, debt-based financial system not wanting to let go of the money.
00:28:40.320 So this is the gut feeling that people feel.
00:28:42.320 They feel as though, well, I can't get my money out.
00:28:44.680 I need to figure things out.
00:28:46.620 I feel like I should buy gold.
00:28:47.920 If you're on the fence right now and you feel that gut feeling, a percentage of risk, and you don't have any gold and silver, firstly, as wealth insurance to protect against your purchasing power loss, you want to give us a call and find out how, especially if you have an RSP or a lira, you want to hold something undigitized outside of the banking system, positioned for what's coming ahead.
00:29:09.720 I don't think it's a very long term going forward.
00:29:12.200 I think this hockey stick action will happen very quickly once we pass the midterms.
00:29:18.560 I think we'll be seeing a lot of sound money talk, a blockchain, treasury backed, Judy Shelton, sound money, as opposed to these swift tokenized deposits that are the competing force.
00:29:31.120 Give us a call and we'll walk you through the entire process.
00:29:33.660 Yeah. And if ultimately, if what we've been talking about today resonates and the concept of protecting your wealth, you can give us a call. You will be speaking with one of us as well as our colleague, Nick. But if you have any questions at all, give us a call. We'd be happy to run through with you and find out more about your situation and how gold and silver might be best in your portfolio and how they might help you. So give us a call and we look forward to speaking with you. And that does it for another edition of The Real Money Show. We can't wait to speak to you soon.
00:30:03.660 Thank you.
