00:00:00.000 Tonight, David Menzies Unplugged, hide your wives, hide your daughters, it's the Menzoid. 0.64
00:00:06.200 It's New Year's Eve and this is the Ezra LeVant Show.
00:00:14.360 Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?
00:00:18.140 There's 8,500 customers here and you won't give them an answer.
00:00:21.860 You come here once a year with a sign and you feel morally superior.
00:00:24.840 The only thing I have to say to the government about why I publish it is because it's my bloody right to do so.
00:00:35.820 Well, Happy New Year is the last show of 2018 and what a busy year it's been.
00:00:40.680 What an exciting year.
00:00:41.840 We have done so many shenanigans in 2018 and God willing we'll have even more in 2019.
00:00:48.780 And one of the guys, when I say shenanigans, you say David Menzies.
00:00:52.600 And he's doing this down soon.
00:00:54.120 How you doing?
00:00:54.580 Oh, I'm doing great.
00:00:55.880 What a year, eh?
00:00:56.700 2018.
00:00:57.440 Oh, well, you had a great year.
00:00:58.700 You had some of our most fun stories.
00:01:00.800 Thank you.
00:01:01.200 And we've asked our top talent, talking to some of our other Rebels over the Christmas break,
00:01:07.940 for three of their most interesting or diverse or fun vids of the year.
00:01:12.880 You know, I was just checking.
00:01:14.600 And we have produced nearly 11,000 videos since the Rebel was born.
00:01:20.800 And it's a lot.
00:01:21.900 Incredible.
00:01:22.320 And you've done hundreds and hundreds of those.
00:01:24.040 And so I have here a list of three favorites.
00:01:29.060 Yeah, I'd say favorites.
00:01:30.060 Like, not all stories are good news stories.
00:01:32.320 Yes.
00:01:33.080 This first one I'd like to ask you about is, I want you to set it up for us.
00:01:38.920 It was a terrible, terrible event, a mass shooting by a Muslim extremist in the Toronto Danforth.
00:01:47.980 And I say those things not based on speculation, but rather on what the police filed with the judge for their information to obtain a search warrant.
00:01:56.480 And although the rest of the mainstream media says, oh, it's mental illness.
00:02:00.840 Yeah.
00:02:01.340 That's not what the police report says.
00:02:03.880 Yeah.
00:02:04.180 No.
00:02:04.400 So tell us a little bit more about the Danforth shooting.
00:02:06.880 And it's a very somber thing.
00:02:08.120 But you had a, I'm not going to call it a funny event.
00:02:10.300 But it's a very serious matter.
00:02:12.380 But a video that came out of it was lighthearted.
00:02:14.160 Set up the story a little bit.
00:02:15.480 Well, I'll tell you, Ezra.
00:02:16.160 I don't think we still know the full story of what happened on the Danforth.
00:02:19.760 And I don't see much of the mainstream media asking the really tough questions and pressing ahead.
00:02:24.920 But that's another story.
00:02:26.280 I mean, Danforth, for those people outside Toronto that aren't familiar with it, it's a beautiful street full of restaurants and pubs and boutiques, bookshops.
00:02:34.880 And it's Greek town.
00:02:35.960 That's an important part of it.
00:02:37.860 That's right.
00:02:39.200 It is.
00:02:39.860 And it's very Greek Christian.
00:02:41.320 If you want souvlaki, that's where you go in Toronto.
00:02:43.980 And in the aftermath of the shooting, actually, it was your story suggestion.
00:02:49.180 And it was perfect timing, given what happened.
00:02:51.860 We went out to gauge the reaction of Torontonians at this makeshift memorial that had sprouted up near a fountain on the Danforth.
00:03:00.460 And the thing about, you know, people say, you know, what is it like doing streeters?
00:03:04.160 I liken it to fishing.
00:03:05.440 You go out in the dory and you put your line in the ocean.
00:03:08.900 And maybe you'll get a minnow.
00:03:10.680 Maybe you'll get something, you know, half decent.
00:03:12.860 Maybe there's no fishing.
00:03:14.680 Well, lo and behold, this woman comes along.
00:03:18.140 And to use the fishing analogy, Ezra, something's tugging on the line and it turns out to be a trophy blue marlin, right?
00:03:26.480 And it was like if you went to central casting and said, set as a caricature, left wing nut bar, right?
00:03:37.420 And if they send her, you'd go, no, too extreme.
00:03:41.000 Yeah, too much.
00:03:41.600 People won't believe it.
00:03:42.980 But she was, she's actually a teacher with the Toronto District School Board.
00:03:48.160 And what ensued was this incredible, it was less of a dialogue and more of a monologue on her that we shouldn't be here.
00:03:58.660 We shouldn't be asking questions, that we have to leave, that this is her community.
00:04:05.340 And then it gets in.
00:04:06.580 And the more you delve into it, it turns out that she doesn't like capitalism.
00:04:11.260 She's a socialist.
00:04:13.720 She had her kids in tow. 0.98
00:04:15.720 She was at one point using profanity.
00:04:17.660 They wanted to go so badly and she was forcing them to stay to watch her fight.
00:04:21.700 You know, I got this vibe, Ezra, that, you know, the poor little kids, here we are on Danforth and maybe a few weeks ago, she walked into a butcher shop and was screaming at the butcher for, you know, not having enough vegan alternatives.
00:04:34.800 And the kids, you could see that resigned look in their face.
00:04:37.480 Oh, no, mom's gone off her rocker again. 0.72
00:04:40.460 And, you know, what you can't really see what's happening off camera is that it's a deluge of rain.
00:04:46.620 And I was soaked to the bone, but I ain't leaving.
00:04:49.540 I'm there with a bit of red.
00:04:50.660 Yeah, it was CB gold.
00:04:51.160 I have to say, it was remarkable.
00:04:55.520 She was incredible.
00:04:56.240 We're going to show it in about 30 seconds.
00:04:58.220 But what stood out to me, David, and I've told you this before, and I'll say it to the world, your self-control and your good humor in the face of this kook is a form of discipline I wish I had over myself. 1.00
00:05:14.640 Because I would not have been able to keep a civil tongue in my mouth.
00:05:18.980 And you were a hero.
00:05:21.240 Enough prologue.
00:05:23.600 Let's look at the clip and run as much of this as you can because this is something to behold.
00:05:28.860 Run as much of it as you can.
00:05:30.060 The rebel is a racist source of news.
00:05:32.580 Because we're asking people their opinion of a mass shooting?
00:05:35.380 Why?
00:05:35.960 And the mass, what does the mass shooting have to do with a man that, like, come on.
00:05:39.960 Come on, man.
00:05:40.660 What does it have to do with a man who didn't finish that sentence?
00:05:43.020 Why should I need to?
00:05:44.840 Because I'm trying to understand what you're saying, ma'am.
00:05:46.940 It's not about ISIS.
00:05:48.020 That's yes.
00:05:48.520 Stop.
00:05:49.800 No, we're not going home.
00:05:51.900 We're not going home.
00:05:52.920 We're going for ice cream.
00:05:53.820 This is a community thing.
00:05:54.840 We're here to take back our community.
00:05:56.480 And this, you are not my community.
00:05:58.200 You can leave now.
00:05:59.600 Oh, this is your sidewalk?
00:06:01.740 This is your property?
00:06:02.640 This is about peace.
00:06:03.440 This is about my community taking back my community and not being racist.
00:06:07.840 Ma'am, you're the one that's raising race. 0.97
00:06:09.540 You're the one yelling.
00:06:10.760 You raised ISIS as a factor. 0.84
00:06:13.100 No, I said CBS in the U.S. is reporting.
00:06:16.740 Propagating racist values.
00:06:19.220 This is our community.
00:06:21.200 U.S. doesn't know anything about this community.
00:06:23.380 So this is Danforth.
00:06:25.360 This is our city.
00:06:26.640 This is our city.
00:06:27.460 You need to not be here.
00:06:28.300 Here's the thing.
00:06:29.340 I need to not be here.
00:06:30.960 Based on whose authority?
00:06:33.060 Based on my authority because I live here.
00:06:35.200 Do you?
00:06:35.840 Do you?
00:06:36.860 You live right on this spot?
00:06:38.500 I'm on private property.
00:06:39.660 Do you live here?
00:06:40.360 And that gives you the right to tell people to leave?
00:06:42.600 This is our capitalist mentality.
00:06:43.640 Is it my property?
00:06:44.400 No, but this is my community.
00:06:46.120 We live in a capitalist society, don't we?
00:06:48.180 We do, unfortunately.
00:06:49.540 Unfortunately?
00:06:50.240 Yes, very.
00:06:50.780 You prefer a communist society?
00:06:52.220 I prefer a socialist society.
00:06:53.480 Yes, I do.
00:06:53.960 Like in Venezuela, perhaps?
00:06:55.280 No.
00:06:55.640 North Korea? 0.67
00:06:56.520 Oh, my God.
00:06:57.420 Cuba?
00:06:57.660 I'm naming all the socialists. 0.99
00:07:01.040 You're descending into your own hell right now. 0.98
00:07:03.200 Listen. 0.89
00:07:03.540 These are hell holes.
00:07:04.460 I agree with you.
00:07:05.640 Hell holes.
00:07:06.620 Now you're quoting Trump.
00:07:08.000 Lovely.
00:07:08.680 That was perfect.
00:07:10.240 Perfect.
00:07:10.880 He did a different kind of hole.
00:07:12.540 Quoting Trump is the best thing you could have ever done for yourself.
00:07:16.540 Way to go.
00:07:17.300 That was priceless.
00:07:18.700 Now you're done.
00:07:19.340 Way to go.
00:07:19.980 I'm done here.
00:07:21.060 It's priceless.
00:07:22.500 He is now done here.
00:07:23.620 Oh, my David, you kept your cool, and you were quick on your feet.
00:07:28.660 I salute you and her poor kids.
00:07:31.140 Oh, yeah.
00:07:31.560 Can we go?
00:07:32.240 No.
00:07:32.680 No!
00:07:33.360 And I almost forgot about her accomplice, who has become known in the comment section as
00:07:37.300 Somalian Batman. 0.71
00:07:38.900 You know, it was absolutely surreal.
00:07:41.840 But, you know, the way it ended, you know, Ezra, it was kind of on a somber note where
00:07:45.540 here she is standing in the pouring rain, and she made mention of calling the police.
00:07:51.860 I remember that, yeah.
00:07:52.660 Yeah, and it was like...
00:07:53.920 Oh, we didn't play the whole thing.
00:07:54.700 You know, folks, find it online.
00:07:56.180 You've got to watch the whole thing.
00:07:57.120 She said she's going to call the cops on David.
00:07:58.820 It's amazing.
00:07:59.300 And it's just really for asking questions on a public sidewalk.
00:08:02.700 And just to, you know, some time has passed since then.
00:08:05.880 In fact, ISIS did lay claim to the attack.
00:08:09.760 Yes.
00:08:10.120 And the police information to obtain.
00:08:11.940 This is a sworn affidavit filed with a judge to get the search form.
00:08:17.900 Talked about all the weapons magazines found in his house.
00:08:22.120 Talked about the secret trip.
00:08:23.880 He went to Pakistan with his dad that his mom lied about and said, oh, no, no, no, no.
00:08:29.140 He's never gone to Pakistan.
00:08:30.560 They interviewed the mom and dad separately.
00:08:31.980 Yes.
00:08:32.280 The dad said, oh, yeah, went with him.
00:08:33.460 Mom says, no, no, no.
00:08:34.700 Yeah.
00:08:34.900 Never been to Pakistan. 0.97
00:08:36.000 I mean, clearly a lying family. 0.99
00:08:38.560 So many lies.
00:08:39.420 The guy had, what, eight different cell phones and other devices.
00:08:42.220 Eight?
00:08:43.040 There's a lot going on here.
00:08:44.560 You were the only one in our channel that's come close and Joe Warmington, the son, that's
00:08:49.800 come close to talking about the truth of it.
00:08:52.140 Warmington did a great job.
00:08:53.560 And let's not forget, too, Ezra, how long it took.
00:08:56.240 Almost a full day before the police released the name.
00:08:59.780 I'm sure they were scrubbing his social media.
00:09:01.640 That's my theory.
00:09:02.680 But what I do know is that they made a fake family statement.
00:09:07.360 Yes, they hired a spin master.
00:09:09.660 And I still don't understand the point A to B process, Ezra.
00:09:13.360 Here you have this carnage, this mass murder on the Danforth.
00:09:16.980 And somehow the authority, somebody behind the curtain said, you know what?
00:09:21.560 We better get so-and-so to write up a statement about, you know, we grieve for Toronto.
00:09:25.880 In perfect English.
00:09:27.160 That the family is not capable of speaking about and stressing the mental illness part.
00:09:32.140 Yeah, which was not true.
00:09:33.820 Yeah.
00:09:34.220 That ITO shows that there was no mental illness at all.
00:09:38.600 The information to obtain I'm referring to.
00:09:41.340 Since when is the murderer given this PR support as opposed to the victims?
00:09:46.880 Oh, I can never remember this.
00:09:49.560 It was an incredible and a shameful scene.
00:09:51.360 And that woman absolutely was on the side of ISIS.
00:09:56.000 Absolutely.
00:09:57.320 And she hated it.
00:09:58.080 And I say that not, I'm not saying that she would support an ISIS murder.
00:10:03.060 But she would defend an act of, here's what I mean by that.
00:10:06.980 She would defend an act of ISIS terrorism from your questions because that to her is less awful than you mentioning ISIS.
00:10:16.280 That's what I mean.
00:10:17.020 I'm not saying that woman believes in murder or, but I'm saying she would rather defend everything than have you be able to say it was an ISIS.
00:10:24.260 But indirectly, isn't she saying that?
00:10:26.360 By saying I don't care about ISIS, think of what ISIS stands for.
00:10:30.040 Every principle that she believes in, in terms of being a far left progressive, is what ISIS hates. 0.99
00:10:36.940 Oh, she would be, she would be thrown in a burqa, first of all, for showing that much skin. 1.00
00:10:42.720 Well, she would.
00:10:44.000 I'm sorry, she would.
00:10:44.680 They were forced to wear burqas there.
00:10:46.360 That's right.
00:10:47.860 I wasn't even making a joke.
00:10:49.180 I mean, her entire lifestyle would be ended.
00:10:52.880 Anyway, that was, that was an incredible surprise.
00:10:56.520 Like you say, you go fishing with the streeters, you never know when you're going to catch. 1.00
00:10:59.440 All right, I want to move on to the next one, because this is another streeter thing you did with a different class of Torontonian.
00:11:07.900 You know, American Democrats, if Toronto were part of the electoral college, it would vote Democrat every time.
00:11:15.160 Yes.
00:11:15.440 You know, I think Alberta would vote Republican and maybe Saskatchewan, and the rest of Canada would vote for Democrats.
00:11:21.460 And Toronto has always been an honorary American city for Democrats doing fundraisers.
00:11:27.120 And so it was, the Bill and Hillary Clinton came to Toronto expecting to sell out a huge arena at huge ticket prices as part of their annual fundraising milk run.
00:11:41.480 But it was actually, I mean, I'll let you introduce this clip and then you can throw to it.
00:11:45.640 It was that Clinton magic was gone.
00:11:48.000 It was a disaster for them.
00:11:49.900 It was.
00:11:50.760 And, you know, we went down there.
00:11:52.460 We did the streeters with the attendees because we thought what was really relevant, especially with the Clintons coming to town and Bill's part of that entourage, is we are now in the Me Too movement era.
00:12:03.340 So they have not apologized to Monica Lewinsky.
00:12:08.500 And it wasn't just a matter of sexual harassment.
00:12:10.360 It was also the position of power he was in.
00:12:13.580 Yeah, the president versus an intern.
00:12:14.580 Exactly.
00:12:15.760 And you just reverse those roles.
00:12:18.260 If that was a Republican president, you know, even if it happened almost 20 years ago, there would be a crucifixion.
00:12:25.860 And people were literally running away from the answer or trying to somehow justify it.
00:12:31.980 It was perverse.
00:12:32.920 Let's take a look.
00:12:33.680 Tell me, in this day and age of the Me Too movement, why do you think Bill Clinton has yet to apologize to Monica Lewinsky?
00:12:40.720 No, no, no, we're fine, we're fine.
00:12:42.140 We're done.
00:12:42.660 No, no, move.
00:12:43.700 No, no, no, no.
00:12:44.880 What happened?
00:12:47.500 What did I say?
00:12:49.700 Hey, guys, are you here to see the Clintons?
00:12:51.940 Yeah.
00:12:52.260 Yeah, what brings you out, ma'am?
00:12:53.720 Well, just, we're interested to watching them.
00:12:56.040 Oh, okay, then.
00:12:56.980 Say, listen, we're wondering, in this Me Too era, how come they haven't apologized to Monica Lewinsky yet?
00:13:07.580 No comment.
00:13:08.500 Say, guys, are you coming to the Clinton event?
00:13:12.140 We are, we are.
00:13:13.000 Okay, what brings you out to see them, sir?
00:13:15.720 Well, we just rather admire them, that's all.
00:13:18.720 They're very good.
00:13:19.680 What makes you admire the Clintons?
00:13:21.460 Well, I think Bill Clinton was one of the best presidents they ever had.
00:13:25.120 Okay.
00:13:25.520 You know, he's a very smart man.
00:13:27.680 Okay.
00:13:28.080 Did a great job.
00:13:29.320 I think his wife would have done a great job, too, if that other guy hadn't shown up. 1.00
00:13:33.100 Tell me, sir, in this day and age of the Me Too movement, why do you think Bill Clinton has yet to apologize to Monica Lewinsky?
00:13:40.520 I don't.
00:13:41.140 No opinion there.
00:13:42.120 No opinion.
00:13:42.660 No.
00:13:43.020 No?
00:13:43.400 Okay.
00:13:43.720 He said a line when he got caught years ago, and they said, why did you do it?
00:13:48.680 And he said, because I could.
00:13:50.340 Now, I don't think that that's acceptable, and I don't think that's the right thing.
00:13:53.020 I think it's a bit of the white male thinking he has the power and that he should be allowed to have that ability because of his position.
00:14:02.120 I'm disappointed he's never apologized, but I did like his politics.
00:14:06.500 I thought he was a good president.
00:14:07.620 I appreciate that he balanced the budget.
00:14:09.200 I think he was a great leader.
00:14:11.300 On his personal things, those are things that he has to work out.
00:14:13.880 By the way, ma'am, you mentioned he's a white male.
00:14:15.580 What does race have to do with misbehavior?
00:14:17.860 Not misbehavior.
00:14:19.320 I think it's more my view is just watching what's going on in the United States, that there's almost a fear of the white male losing their power.
00:14:26.420 You know, I look at how they approach Obama.
00:14:28.700 I look at how they've approached a woman going into the presidency, and it's almost like the white male's afraid.
00:14:34.340 That's just really weird, the white male's afraid.
00:14:36.660 This happened before Obama.
00:14:38.380 That's just such a weird excuse.
00:14:39.920 But, you know, it's amazing the length that liberals will go to to excuse rapey behavior.
00:14:46.720 Like, Monica Lewinsky was a sexual predator, although you could say it was consensual, although, as you pointed out, there was an enormous power imbalance. 1.00
00:14:58.560 Yes. 0.87
00:14:58.860 But Bill Clinton has also been very credibly accused of rape by Juanita Broderick, for example.
00:15:05.180 Kathleen Wiley, of course, he was disbarred and paid a huge fine and settlement to other women, including one woman in Arkansas.
00:15:16.060 And so his consensual affair with a minor, or not a minor, with an intern, is the least of it.
00:15:25.320 But just like Teddy Kennedy, just like Harvey Weinstein, the great feminist Hollywood filmmaker, just like Gian Gomeschi, the women's studies CBC-er, the liberals will always make excuseful, even for Justin Trudeau, who groped, sexually groped, a young woman named Rose Knight, in Creston, B.C. in August of 2000.
00:15:48.240 And, well, he's a liberal.
00:15:50.460 You know, he wins brownie points with us for being so feminist, so we can let him get away with being a little gropy. 1.00
00:15:56.440 Yeah, and in Trudeau's case, too, Ezra, it's a learning experience.
00:16:00.560 Not for him, mind you, for all of us, for all men out there.
00:16:04.100 No, it's clearly a double standard.
00:16:06.080 And, you know, what I can't stomach, you know, I did go to a scalper to buy tickets, not because the event was sold out.
00:16:12.320 In fact, according to OneSource, they only sold 16.6% capacity of Scotiabank Arena, where the Leafs play.
00:16:18.860 But just because on a clear conscience, I didn't want to add more revenue.
00:16:23.340 And can you actually call a scalper a scalper if you're getting tickets at 60% off face value?
00:16:29.180 But I go in there, and one of the last questions of the moderator, who was embarrassing, Frank McKenna, the old liberal, was about, tell us again about Bill meets Hillary.
00:16:39.920 And, you know, and it was funny, some of the women in the audience, they were swooning at this.
00:16:44.360 And I'm thinking, this isn't a chick flick, this is monster chiller horror theater. 0.98
00:16:48.980 He's a serial adulterer, he fools around. 0.97
00:16:53.240 And despite everything on the public record, Ezra, I don't know how this man gets a pass. 0.99
00:17:01.380 I mean, you mentioned it yourself, that, you know, even being accused of rape, for goodness sakes, these women should be booing him.
00:17:07.440 Yeah, I remember the name of that woman in Arkansas, Paula Jones, was a huge payout. 0.89
00:17:14.360 But it's the same way the left talks about minorities.
00:17:18.180 They love minorities.
00:17:19.540 Unless a minority dares to be a conservative, then you'll never see anyone more vicious.
00:17:24.140 The way they went after Clarence Thomas.
00:17:25.820 Yes.
00:17:26.300 The way they go after Kanye West, who dared to deviate from the left-wing Hollywood or music scene.
00:17:33.860 They'll call them an Uncle Tom.
00:17:34.960 Oh, absolutely.
00:17:36.560 So that's incredible.
00:17:38.000 Well, you know what, those streeters are just quite something.
00:17:41.580 I'm glad that even in liberal Toronto, that place was 80% empty.
00:17:46.540 I'm sure they lost a lot of money.
00:17:48.080 Oh, yes.
00:17:48.280 Because Bill and Hillary don't come cheap. 0.99
00:17:49.920 Frank McKenna, by the way, paid through the TD Bank.
00:17:54.280 I was researching this.
00:17:56.920 TD Bank paid more to the Clinton Foundation for their speeches than any other bank, even more than Goldman Sachs did.
00:18:03.540 They paid, I think it was $1.8 million.
00:18:06.680 Whereas the Goldman Sachs were only paying like half a million for the
00:18:07.760 I wish you hadn't told me that, because I'm a TD customer.
00:18:11.520 I've got to rethink my banking.
00:18:12.560 So you helped pay for Bill and Hillary.
00:18:14.000 Oh, and the most outrageous thing out of his mouth, by the way, Ezra, when he was knocking off all his accomplishments,
00:18:19.460 he turned the clock back to 1995, the whole separatist movement in Quebec when they were having the vote for the second time.
00:18:25.940 And Frank McKenna noted that just days before the referendum, Bill Clinton paid a visit to Canada, and he turned the tide.
00:18:34.060 Oh, my God.
00:18:35.180 Ezra, hand up to God, so we have you to thank for Canadian Confederation.
00:18:39.740 And I thought, what?
00:18:41.220 I was around then.
00:18:42.080 How did I miss this story?
00:18:44.100 As liberals go, I like Frank McKenna.
00:18:46.160 He's pro-oil pipeline, pro-business.
00:18:48.320 I thought he was an excellent ambassador to the States.
00:18:51.700 But that's a little rich. 0.53
00:18:53.380 Yeah, he's just too much part of the Clinton, I'm not going to say mafia, because that implies that Frank himself is a crook, and I don't think he is.
00:19:01.240 Cult?
00:19:01.540 He just thought that, well, an investor.
00:19:03.940 Okay.
00:19:04.240 He was an investor in the Clintons.
00:19:06.280 When you put more than a million bucks of TD's money into the Clintons, you've got such a big stake in the Clintons,
00:19:12.560 you want to prop them up even when they're discredited, because you've poured a lot of the bank's money into them.
00:19:18.340 TD Bank poured a lot of money into the Clintons, and he wants to salvage that.
00:19:22.400 And maybe there was a business case for it.
00:19:24.080 Look, the Saudis put in 25 million into the Clintons.
00:19:27.600 The Russians put in over 100 million, depending on how you count.
00:19:31.260 And Hillary Clinton served up uranium, one of them.
00:19:33.600 So I bet you that it was smart business to invest in the Clintons, but in the case of a presidential run, it didn't pan out.
00:19:41.320 Let me get to the one last video.
00:19:43.040 And this is one of your more recent excursions, further than Danforth Avenue or the Scotiabank Center.
00:19:50.960 We sent you on short notice to Mexico, but not to any tourist joint.
00:19:55.820 No.
00:19:56.040 Not to Cancun or Puerto Vallarta or any of the nice places.
00:19:59.980 We sent you to Oaxaca.
00:20:01.700 And I heard about some of the places that you and our cameramen stayed, and I'm just glad to say it was you and not me.
00:20:11.760 Oh, Ezra.
00:20:12.660 But you know what?
00:20:13.480 It was, I don't care if we had to sleep in a tent, because that was a very important story to cover.
00:20:18.800 Because, you know, people will deride us for, you know, getting on the fake news bandwagon and saying, nope, that's fake news.
00:20:26.040 That's not true.
00:20:26.980 But I have proof of it.
00:20:28.020 I've seen it with my own eyes.
00:20:29.720 When we were down there, I think at one point, Susan Ormiston of the CBC went down there.
00:20:35.000 And she reported that when the caravan was around 5,000 people, which was about the number when we were there, it peaked at 7,000.
00:20:41.440 Then about 2,000, you know, took up Mexico's offer to hang around Mexico.
00:20:45.660 She had said, she had written that, quoting UN sources, 2,300 of the caravan population was comprised of children.
00:20:57.400 And to which I said, that would be an accurate statement if your definition of a child is someone under 35 as opposed to 18.
00:21:03.960 That is an absolute outrageous lie.
00:21:07.120 We saw it ourselves.
00:21:08.240 The camera doesn't lie.
00:21:09.200 90% of those people in the caravan were what I would call economic migrants, and they were young, able-bodied males.
00:21:18.760 But it's funny.
00:21:20.040 Whenever the cameras are around, whenever the caravan goes up against the wall in Tijuana like they did recently at the end of the line, suddenly women and children go to the front.
00:21:31.020 I mean, the camera makes it look like it's all women and children, right? 0.99
00:21:34.640 But 2,300, and I'm sorry, if the CBC was there on the ground, why didn't they go to the UN and go, ah, you know, this 2,300 figure not panning out, that's not what we're seeing.
00:21:46.700 And it makes me wonder, do leftists, Ezra, have a trouble with mathematics?
00:21:51.220 Because in the Trump election campaign, when he was having those rallies, oh, empty seats galore, and it's standing room only.
00:21:59.620 I'm just getting sick and tired when you can see an image that refutes this kind of reporting, that they continue this narrative that when it's Trump supporters, hardly anybody around folks, and when it's a caravan of migrants, oh, think of the children, which are almost 50%.
00:22:16.480 Well, that's the thing, whenever we go on the ground, just the basic facts prove that what the mainstream media tells us is quite often unreliable, sometimes accidentally, but often as a purposeful campaign-style lie.
00:22:30.760 And I would put the CBC in that camp.
00:22:32.520 Without further ado, let's take a look at some of your clips from Mexico.
00:22:35.880 Yet, in the five days in which we've been following the caravan, a narrative has emerged.
00:22:42.480 Essentially, this is less about a caravan and more about a leftist-organized, foreign-funded invasion of the U.S.
00:22:52.820 What else can it be?
00:22:54.700 Yes, these people, for the most part, are not criminals.
00:22:58.200 Yes, these people are not armed.
00:23:00.440 Yet, they are moving en masse, uninvited, and are planning to enter a country illegally.
00:23:08.320 If that is not the textbook definition of an invasion, I don't know what is.
00:23:14.260 And when President Trump mobilizes thousands of troops to secure the border, and perhaps even shut down the border,
00:23:22.160 Well, what this is really about is saving American jobs, protecting American citizens, and even ensuring American sovereignty.
00:23:32.840 Because as we've seen in so many other places around the globe, a country with no border controls is really not very much of a country at all.
00:23:43.880 You know, looking at that footage again, that last image of this huge semi-trailer-type truck with about 20 young men about to jump in the back,
00:23:54.260 First of all, that proves a lie that it's half women and children.
00:23:57.460 Second of all, and you said that when you first, you had to find the caravan first.
00:24:02.180 You landed, you had to search for it and catch up to it.
00:24:04.720 You said you passed a truck on the highway, a big semi-trailer, that had stacks and stacks and stacks of portable toilets on it.
00:24:12.100 And it wasn't until later that you put that together.
00:24:14.320 This is part of the logistical convoy, because these people were not walking.
00:24:18.900 They would walk a bit, but they were on trucks, they were on buses, they were on trailers.
00:24:23.920 You can't move 5,000, 7,000 people at that speed on foot.
00:24:28.600 What about the food? What about the drinks? What about the doctors? What about organizers? What about shelter?
00:24:34.740 This was an enormous infrastructure undertaking, and the mainstream media never asked the question,
00:24:40.800 who's paying for this? Who's organizing it?
00:24:42.960 A hundred percent. And Ezra, you just said, portable toilets, they don't come cheap.
00:24:46.520 You know, that's a major, you know, rental.
00:24:48.980 Well, for 7,000 people.
00:24:50.040 Yeah, you know, it really is.
00:24:52.000 And, you know, it was almost, there was a couple of surreal elements to this caravan.
00:24:57.160 First of all, when they'd come into towns, there was almost a receptive welcoming of them.
00:25:04.660 But it was on the caveat that, A, this is temporary, 24 hours at most.
00:25:10.160 B, we don't want a mob that's 90% young, tired, hungry, thirsty men, because you know what happens 0.98
00:25:18.560 if we don't feed and shelter and give them water, we're going to have trouble.
00:25:23.360 So that was kind of, so it was kind of like, you know, oh, look at this wonderful welcoming committee.
00:25:28.140 Yeah, that only lasted until they got to the end of the road, you know, Tijuana, where at one point,
00:25:34.840 you know, riot police had to separate the locals from these people because they were getting tired
00:25:39.640 of them overstaying their welcome.
00:25:41.220 And it was also funny too, I mean, I don't know how many reviewers watched the AMC show Walking Dead,
00:25:46.680 but at nighttime, that's what it felt like, this dystopian future where you had thousands of strangers
00:25:52.900 just walking through the town at night, you know, just before they settled down for sleep.
00:25:57.400 And it was almost like it had the vibe, Ezra, I'm not trying to trivialize it, but like
00:26:03.620 of a zombie apocalypse, you know, thousands of these strangers in your town under cover
00:26:09.180 of night, just wandering around.
00:26:11.640 And I thought it was very intimidating, but you know, what do I know?
00:26:15.460 I mean, if you talk to the Jim Acostas of the world, you know, I'm surprised they haven't
00:26:19.460 referred to this as the migrant parade, you know, I mean, a caravan.
00:26:24.500 Hey, everybody loves a caravan, you know, no.
00:26:26.960 There is a process for getting to the United States that thousands of people undertake every
00:26:32.460 week, and that's applying legally, hiring an immigration lawyer, sometimes at thousands
00:26:37.060 of dollars, but that is the process.
00:26:39.040 And if Donald Trump were to allow this caravan and the others that are now en route to Tijuana
00:26:44.040 as well into America, Ezra, you know, every week there would be another caravan of migrants
00:26:50.280 from all over the world.
00:26:51.620 You know, we'd have the Afghanistan migrant caravan, the Pakistan migrant caravan, they'd 0.99
00:26:56.920 be coming from everywhere.
00:26:58.380 If a country doesn't, you know, defend and maintain its borders, is it really a country
00:27:03.200 in the truest sense of the word?
00:27:04.520 Well, you were in Mexico, but it sounds like you're talking about the Canadian border just
00:27:08.480 as much.
00:27:09.040 That's we, it would be as if that migrant caravan came through to Canada times six, times seven,
00:27:16.540 because that is exactly what's happened at Roxham Road.
00:27:18.360 And you know what, can I tell you something, Ezra, you've hit the nail.
00:27:23.020 I think the fatal flaw of this caravan is they didn't get on a plane, land in, you know,
00:27:27.540 New York State and go to Roxham Road and cross over because they're not going to receive a
00:27:33.460 resistance.
00:27:34.060 And instead, the Royal Canadian Bellhop Police are going to carry their belongings over
00:27:38.560 and they're in like Flynn here.
00:27:40.600 So I think if they had to rethink this, leapfrog the U.S. entirely and come into Canada to a 0.84
00:27:47.780 welcoming arms of the Justin Trudeau liberals.
00:27:51.100 Yeah.
00:27:51.860 Well, very interesting.
00:27:52.980 You've had a busy year.
00:27:54.360 Lots of interesting places.
00:27:56.060 We didn't even talk about the global migration compact meeting in Morocco.
00:28:00.720 2019, I'm worried about it because I think everything's going to be dialed up a notch,
00:28:05.640 especially in Canada, as Justin Trudeau heads into his re-election campaign and his poll
00:28:10.960 numbers are weak.
00:28:12.000 Yes.
00:28:12.460 People are upset about the carbon tax.
00:28:14.880 People are worried about the economy, the pipelines, the GM plan in Oshawa.
00:28:19.520 The immigration issue is so hot that I think it helped tip the election in Quebec.
00:28:24.580 They pledged 20% reduction in immigration, banning the burqa and the civil service. 0.90
00:28:29.780 I think that's a big reason they won.
00:28:32.200 I think Trudeau's going to lash out.
00:28:34.340 He's mentioned the rebel by name in Parliament.
00:28:36.440 Yes.
00:28:36.640 I think he's going to try and push hard on his fake feminism, like Bill Clinton, push 0.97
00:28:44.140 hard on the migrants, like this migrant caravan, and try and clamp down on his enemies, like 0.88
00:28:49.520 us.
00:28:50.160 Yeah.
00:28:50.400 And he's aided and abetted, not only by the state broadcaster, the CBC, getting some $1.5
00:28:55.400 billion a year, Ezra, but also the $600 million now going into the likes of Post Media,
00:29:02.120 Globe and Mail, Torstar Corporation.
00:29:05.760 So again, are these journalists going to bite the hen that feeds?
00:29:09.060 There's definitely storm clouds on the horizon for Trudeau.
00:29:11.860 But also, what makes me less than 100% optimistic of regime change is a couple of factors.
00:29:19.460 First of all, the NDP has flatlined under Jagmeet Singh.
00:29:23.480 I mean, you know, this guy is like the invisible man.
00:29:26.880 They have had enormous trouble raising money since he took over as the leader.
00:29:31.980 And therefore, if those having buyer's remorse with the Trudeau liberals, but they're not
00:29:37.000 ready to go conservative, they might have to just stay where they are.
00:29:40.480 Secondly, what's happened with, you know, Andrew Scheer, I think there are millions of
00:29:47.100 Canadians that want to support him, but they're waiting for him to grow a spine and say something,
00:29:52.440 do something.
00:29:53.520 And those people, I think, are being forced to support Maxime Bernier and the People's
00:29:58.980 Party of Canada because they just can't take, you know, this wishy-washy Mr. Dithers, or
00:30:05.780 sorry, I was using Paul Martin's old nickname, I meant to say Mr. Charisma in a facetious way.
00:30:13.580 And, you know, and like you, Ezra, Andrew Scheer and the Conservatives, I think, have a good
00:30:18.660 solid 10 months to convince us, to, you know, make us supporters rather than doubters.
00:30:24.520 But right now, you know, I ain't liking what I'm seeing.
00:30:27.140 And when he shuts us out, you know, and by extension, our million-plus YouTube subscribers
00:30:33.300 from the Halifax Convention, like he did this summer, I mean, and yet the mean girls, as 0.98
00:30:39.180 you like to call them, very aptly, of the CBC and the Globe and Mail, yeah, come on in.
00:30:44.620 What kind of message is that sending?
00:30:46.960 Well, listen, we'll do our job the best we can.
00:30:49.720 And in my mind, that is reporting the news without fear or favor, giving our honest commentaries
00:30:54.840 and shining a light of public scrutiny on things that the mainstream media either ignores or
00:30:59.040 lies about.
00:31:00.280 I think that's one theme of all three of the clips we showed today.
00:31:03.460 The mainstream media was in collusion with the authorities to shut up the facts of the
00:31:08.060 Danforth shooting.
00:31:09.000 And again, this is not a conspiracy theory.
00:31:10.680 This is me having read the police department's information to obtain affidavit.
00:31:15.900 On Hillary Clinton, the mainstream media is covering for Justin Trudeau's kokanee grope 0.99
00:31:22.440 in Creston, B.C.
00:31:24.220 And on the migrant issue, the mainstream media and 6% of Canadians want more immigration.
00:31:30.240 80% of Canadians want the same or less immigration.
00:31:33.560 On all three of those issues, we stand with the people and we'll do our job to tell the
00:31:38.300 other side of the story.
00:31:39.080 Thanks for being part of the team.
00:31:40.260 Well, thank you, Ezra.
00:31:41.180 This has been the most exciting year of journalism in my life and love the rebel and we are going
00:31:47.040 to continue fighting for our viewers because we're really the last independent, you know,
00:31:53.660 source of journalism left.
00:31:55.040 We're not in anyone's pockets.
00:31:56.920 We're not taking that bailout money.
00:31:58.820 Even if it was offered, you on clear conscience would never accept it.
00:32:02.420 And that's our role.
00:32:03.700 We're the watchdog.
00:32:04.800 We're the umpire behind home plate.
00:32:06.620 And that's what we're going to do in 2019.
00:32:09.160 Yeah, right on.
00:32:09.820 Well, thank you for being part of the team.
00:32:11.280 Thank you.
00:32:11.500 And thank you to our viewers.
00:32:13.000 Our last show for 2018.
00:32:15.120 Hope you'll be with us for all of 2019 and beyond.
00:32:18.780 It is because of you that we exist.
00:32:21.220 As you know, your $8 a month for this paywalled show is so important for us to pay our bills,
00:32:27.180 including to keep David Menzies looking so sharp in those fancy suits and ties.
00:32:33.500 I'm kidding around.
00:32:34.760 I'm kidding around.
00:32:35.860 We're grateful that he's on our team and we're grateful for your support.
00:32:39.360 But until next year, on behalf of all of us here at Rebel World Headquarters,
00:32:43.820 you at home, good night and keep fighting for freedom.
00:32:46.360 We'll see you next time.
00:32:51.900 Bye.
00:32:52.820 Bye.
00:32:53.000 We'll be right back.
