00:01:54.960 at one of the highest peaks of the media party. So when he tweets something, it's really the voice of

00:02:00.860 the political establishment. So here's the video. Now, I want to warn you, there's a lot of swearing

00:02:05.040 here and then some spitting. So you're going to hear the F word a few times. There's another bad word

00:02:11.560 that was bleeped out by BlogTO. I don't even know what that word is. But I'm going to play

00:02:17.420 it with the F word still on bleep because I think it's important to know what we're talking

00:04:03.680 vulgar and offensive. I'm sorry, it's just too fake. No one who actually wanted to promote Andrew

00:05:09.980 by the way. And he was careful enough not to poke her with the scissors, by the way. And she was happy

00:05:15.520 to do a national press conference from an elementary school, because apparently that happens all the

00:05:20.200 time, 11-year-olds holding national press conferences in elementary schools, right after

00:05:25.000 they're attacked and the attacker's still on the loose. And the younger brother comes to the press

00:05:28.960 conference, too, and is just laughing and joking around. Yeah, that was fake. Just as fake as when

00:05:35.700 that leftist actor, Jussie Smollett, claimed that he was attacked at 3 a.m. by some rednecks who were

00:05:43.440 walking around Chicago with a noose and some bleach, apparently, as one does at 3 a.m. in Chicago

00:05:52.200 while wearing trump hats. And apparently they watch an obscure black-oriented TV show and know

00:05:57.940 an actor who plays an obscure role on that show. And they saw the actor and they attacked him because

00:06:03.740 they had a noose and bleach around with them. And they put the noose around Jussie Smollett's neck

00:06:07.780 and splashed bleach on him. But Jussie Smollett fought them off and they ran. And the whole time

00:06:13.100 he was holding on to his Subway sandwich and never dropped it. That was my favorite detail

00:07:57.420 finally proof of it. So BlogTO published it as news saying a woman was just caught on camera

00:08:05.620 screaming racial slurs outside Toronto City Hall. I mean, I guess that's technically true. That's not

00:08:10.520 a lie. But the lie was in the image and not disclosing that it's obviously a fake, a hoax,

00:08:16.640 a set up. Pictures absolutely can lie. In fact, they're the most powerful of lies because we

00:08:24.760 instantly see something. We instantly come to a judgment about it. You can't unsee that hand

00:08:30.440 painted sign for Andrew Scheer, can you? And so it's fused with this story in your mind. As of this

00:08:37.500 afternoon, that little video was seen about a half a million times on Twitter alone.

00:08:41.360 And like I say, I saw it via David Aiken. Here's what he tweeted. He has since deleted this tweet.

00:08:48.720 But here's a snapshot someone took of his tweet before he deleted. He said,

00:08:52.720 Scheer's opponents will shrug and say, well, of course, that's unfair, but that's politics. In the

00:08:58.300 meantime, Scheer would do well to go out of his way to denounce this kind of hatred and to do that

00:09:02.720 quickly. So David Aiken was not only giving great publicity to this hoax and putting zero effort

00:09:09.160 into scrutinizing and skeptically, doing no basic fact checks. He was also giving a prescription

00:09:14.100 this year. Hey, Andrew Scheer, you'd better react to this or you'll own it, says I. We all assume

00:09:20.560 this is who you really are. That's the default. So unless you stop what you're doing, stop talking

00:09:24.640 about what you're talking about and tell us for the empteenth time that you're not a racist,

00:09:27.720 we're going to assume you are, buddy.

00:10:32.600 with me, because he is indistinguishable from Justin Trudeau on immigration, other than his

00:10:42.540 foreigners. He won't even commit to closing the Roxham Road, a legal place of entry. And my

00:10:52.580 in Canada, who knew their facts, who was concerned about immigration, would know that Andrew Scheer

00:11:05.520 supporting the one candidate who wants to reform immigration, Maxime Bernier, or maybe Quebec

00:13:30.120 immigration booster. So exactly the opposite of who she pretended to be on camera that day at

00:13:36.340 downtown Toronto. It's just all right out there on Google. My colleague Kian Bextie points out that

00:13:43.560 the video itself was originally uploaded to the internet by this guy, Farhan Rana, the guy who

00:13:49.220 said, I don't believe this. He's a Palestinian activist who used to work for Bill Morneau at

00:13:54.000 Morneau's company, Morneau Chappelle. That's a pretty coincidental thing, but I actually think

00:13:58.060 he's legitimate. I think the hoaxer was Talia Davidson. I think Farhan Rana's reaction,

00:14:03.880 I think, was real. I don't think he was in on it. I think he was actually assaulted. That's what

00:14:09.520 being spat upon is. If he's in on this hoax, that's a whole other level of misconduct. I

00:14:15.560 actually don't think he was, but I'm just guessing. The weirdest thing was, the website

00:14:20.200 that put this online, blog T.O., they did a profile on Davidson just last month. Don't they

00:14:26.740 recognize their own friend? They just wrote about her last month. That's so weird. Now,

00:18:23.380 an extradition law that could take citizens from free Hong Kong to the mainland China, where the

00:18:45.800 suggests he is concerned about China possibly having a Tiananmen Square-style reaction to Hong Kong.

00:18:59.080 Hong Kong. From the leader of the free world, we need a stout defense of freedom. He's not quite

00:19:13.160 looked like troop carriers. They're trucks to carry troops. That's what it looked like to me. Also,

00:19:18.200 some light armored vehicles massing just across the border from Hong Kong. This was in propaganda

00:19:27.240 style videos released by the Chinese government, buses, trucks. Was this designed to show Chinese

00:19:34.840 nationals that China is tough? Is it designed to scare Hong Kongese? What's the purpose of these

00:19:40.680 propaganda videos released by the Chinese military?

00:19:49.160 deploy either the People's Army or the People's Russian Army under the streets of Hong Kong. They know

00:19:55.160 they do that. They do that. It's a little provocation and that a lot of blood will be spilled, not all of it, Hong Kong.

00:21:08.360 too much to think about. Surely this is already damaging the thought that Western investors could

00:21:16.360 trust Hong Kong as being independent. I'm very nervous about the future of Hong Kong. I don't

00:21:22.200 think it's ever looked this bad, certainly since China took over in 1997. I'm scared. Is that the 0.98

00:22:57.400 very high-tech, asymmetrical battle. If you had to predict its outcome, and I know that's a very

00:23:03.400 difficult business, do you think that Beijing is going to blink? These Hong Kongese seem more 1.00

00:23:09.640 resolute in their freedom than almost any other country I've heard of. Two million people have

00:23:14.360 massed in the streets such an enormous percentage of the population. Are you betting on the spirit of Hong 0.99
