Rebel News Podcast - Veterans Affairs' latest scandal another examples of Liberals' disdain for our military

00:00:00.440 You're listening to a Rebel Media Podcast.

00:00:03.840 Tonight, Trudeau's Veterans Affairs celebrates VE Day with Nazis.

00:00:09.880 Is that really the best way to honour Canadians who paid the ultimate sacrifice?

00:00:14.980 It's May 13th, I'm David Menzies and this is the Ezra Levent Show.

00:00:21.100 Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?

00:00:25.000 There's 8,500 customers here and you won't give them an answer.

00:00:28.640 The only thing I have to say to the government, the wire publisher, is because it's my bloody right to do so.

00:00:40.160 A few days ago, the 74th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, or VE Day as it is known, was marked.

00:00:48.100 This was one of the most important moments of the 20th century in which the Allies accepted the unconditional surrender of Germany.

00:00:55.580 Canadians played a huge role in World War II, just like World War I.

00:01:01.200 We punched above our weight, so to speak, when one looks at the number of casualties incurred compared to the population of the nation at the time.

00:01:10.040 So, yes, VE Day is a pretty big deal, as is the commemoration of VE Day,

00:01:16.280 even if most of the men who fought in that war have either passed away or are in their 90s right now.

00:01:24.080 So it is that Veterans Affairs Canada produced a video commemorating Canada's role in VE Day.

00:01:30.920 Well, that was a nice gesture.

00:01:32.860 Please take half a minute to check it out.

00:01:34.940 May the 8th marks the 74th anniversary of the Allied victory in Europe during the Second World War.

00:01:43.000 More than a million Canadian men and women served in this bitter conflict.

00:01:47.540 Of those, over 45,000 gave their lives in the defense of peace and freedom.

00:01:53.540 Today, we take time to reflect on the courage shown by the members of our armed forces more than seven decades ago, lest we forget.

00:02:08.020 I love the video's tagline, don't you?

00:02:11.180 Take a moment to remember, connect with Canadian veterans, participate in local commemorative events,

00:02:18.280 share why remembrance is important to you on social media.

00:02:22.640 See, the thing is, folks, sharing this video with any Canadian veteran would be akin to spitting in their face

00:02:30.520 because most of the footage you just saw didn't feature Canadian troops or even other Allied soldiers.

00:02:38.620 Rather, that footage captured German troops on the march.

00:02:43.340 Yeah, that little Nazi eagle insignia on their uniforms, that was kind of the dead giveaway.

00:02:48.140 Incredibly, Veterans Affairs Canada produced a short tribute film honoring our Canadian soldiers

00:02:55.700 by showing imagery of the enemy?

00:03:00.160 Thankfully, the video has now been removed from the Veterans Affairs website, 0.98

00:03:04.600 even though this idiotic infamy shall live on forever thanks to the internet. 0.51

00:03:09.100 But the question arises, how in blue hell did this horrific error, assuming it was an error, that is, 0.99

00:03:17.960 how did it even happen?

00:03:19.800 This video wasn't produced by some amateur AV club.

00:03:23.960 This was from the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

00:03:26.520 It was narrated by the minister himself, Lawrence McCauley.

00:03:29.880 And like any federal government ministry, Veterans Affairs has an entire battalion of communications people.

00:03:38.660 Everything coming out of the ministry gets vetted and fact-checked and approved and signed off on. 0.97

00:03:44.380 And yet this garbage somehow received the green light? 0.98

00:03:48.880 And even the minister of Veteran Affairs didn't even notice? 0.99

00:03:52.640 Or did McCauley even bother to take 30 seconds of his precious time to watch the video prior to narrating it?

00:04:02.380 I'm going to guess he didn't even bother.

00:04:04.040 After all, McCauley has so much on his plate these days, doesn't he?

00:04:07.720 What with denying injured veterans their compensation?

00:04:10.420 I mean, McCauley barely has time to tuck into his ham sandwich as he diligently helps the Trudeau liberals balance the budget by, well,

00:04:19.900 by telling injured vets to take a long walk off a short pier.

00:04:24.620 You know, like Captain Kim Fawcett.

00:04:27.280 Fawcett lost her leg and her young child in a horrific accident. 1.00

00:04:31.780 But she was denied disability compensation by the same idiots who portrayed Nazis as Canadian soldiers. 1.00

00:04:41.300 Sorry, Captain Fawcett. 1.00

00:04:42.740 You should have known better when you made your heartfelt plea for compensation.

00:04:46.940 You should have done so while wearing a burqa. 1.00

00:04:50.160 I think the check would already be in the mail by now.

00:04:54.000 Yet, as a side note to the Fawcett affair in the Department of She Who Laughs Last Laughs Longest,

00:05:00.760 there may indeed be a happy ending to this sordid story.

00:05:03.560 That's because Fawcett has been nominated as the Conservative candidate in the Toronto riding of Scarborough Southwest for the upcoming federal election.

00:05:12.880 Imagine that.

00:05:14.540 A soldier who has been fighting the Canadian forces and veterans affairs for 15 years now

00:05:20.740 might become this nation's next veterans affairs or defense minister.

00:05:25.800 Now, I'm no fortune teller when it comes to predictions, folks.

00:05:29.500 But if I were Bill Blair, the minister of nothingness and Toronto's ex-social justice warrior police chief,

00:05:37.240 I'd be subscribing to the tagline for the film The Fly right now.

00:05:42.340 You know, be afraid, be very afraid.

00:05:45.360 But let's put aside Macaulay's incompetence and lack of compassion when it comes to veterans affairs

00:05:51.080 because I wonder where his communications staffers were when it came to selecting clips of Nazis on the march

00:05:58.860 and somehow thinking those were Canadian soldiers. 0.64

00:06:03.600 Maybe their shocking ignorance speaks to a greater problem,

00:06:07.680 which is to say the young'uns simply can't tell you who the good guys were

00:06:12.300 and who the bad guys were during that thingy that happened overseas way back when.

00:06:18.760 Because here's a not-so-fun fact for you.

00:06:22.340 Of the 13 provinces and territories, only four make Canadian history mandatory in high school.

00:06:29.400 Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, and Nova Scotia.

00:06:32.620 So when it comes to the tagline, lest we forget,

00:06:35.200 well, how can one forget when they never had the knowledge passed on to them in the first place?

00:06:40.340 Then again, what do I know about the progressives running the education system in Canada these days?

00:06:46.760 Oh, sure, little Johnny and Janie can't spell cat if you were to spot them the C and the T

00:06:52.120 and they can't provide an answer for what's 2 plus 2 without reaching for a calculator.

00:06:57.160 And hey, they have no idea who the Allied Forces were

00:07:00.400 or what they were doing in Europe and Japan decades ago.

00:07:03.320 But ask them to correctly identify the 84 genders, or is it 118 now?

00:07:11.620 Well, they have that propaganda, or I mean information drilled into their heads

00:07:16.340 as they try to self-determine if they're boys or girls or gender-fluid, asexual spirit unicorns.

00:07:23.800 But to be fair, it's not just the millennials who have flunked Canadian history.

00:07:29.920 Our older and supposedly enlightened liberal leaders aren't so savvy on this file either.

00:07:35.940 Remember when doddering John McCallum, who was recently fired as ambassador to China for screwing up that file?

00:07:43.340 Remember when he stunned millions of Canadians back in 2002?

00:07:46.980 That's when he stated that he had never heard of the country's bloodiest military debacle, the Battle of Dieppe.

00:07:55.600 And to think that McCallum was serving as Canada's Minister of Defence at the time?

00:08:01.900 But McCallum wasn't done yet with his display of ignorance in the armed forces,

00:08:06.460 for this Dumkoff would later write a damage control letter to the editor to the National Post

00:08:12.260 in which he compared Dieppe to Vici.

00:08:15.440 Vici, of course, was the capital of collaborationist France during the Nazi years.

00:08:22.920 McCallum meant to say, or let's hope he meant to say, Vimy,

00:08:27.180 as in Vimy Ridge, the site of Canada's epic First World War victory.

00:08:33.220 Yeah, I know, cut the old guy some slack here.

00:08:36.600 I mean, Vici, Vimy, they both begin with a V and end with a Y, just like vulgarity.

00:08:44.720 So really, what's the difference, eh? No big deal.

00:08:49.100 I'm sure by now you've noticed a disturbing trend here. 0.97

00:08:52.840 Namely, liberals then and now don't seem to give a rodent's rectum about those Canadians

00:08:59.040 who are expected to make the ultimate sacrifice when called upon to do so.

00:09:04.380 I think it goes back to Trudeau.

00:09:06.840 No, not Junior, although Justin is indeed a chip off the old blockhead. 0.98

00:09:11.720 I speak of Pierre Elliott Trudeau, or Trudeau the First, as some liberals refer to him.

00:09:16.860 Back in 1939, Pierre was old enough and capable enough to enlist in the army.

00:09:22.140 But he didn't.

00:09:23.440 He was simply too busy.

00:09:25.340 Too busy doing what?

00:09:26.420 You say, well, here's what David Frum pointed out in a National Post column a while back.

00:09:31.700 Quote, Pierre Trudeau opted not to serve in World War II, although of age and in good health.

00:09:38.480 He traveled to Joseph Stalin's Soviet Union to participate in regime-sponsored propaganda activities.

00:09:45.380 He wrote in praise of Mao's murderous regime in China.

00:09:49.260 Trudeau lavishly admired Fidel Castro, Julius Nerere, and other third world dictators.

00:09:56.260 The Soviet dissident Andrei Amalryk scathingly recalled Trudeau's 1971 prime ministerial visit.

00:10:05.360 Trudeau visited the Siberian capital of Norilsk and lamented that Canada had never succeeded in building so large a city so far north,

00:10:15.600 unaware or unconcerned that Norilsk had been built by slave labor.

00:10:21.040 Meanwhile, when Trudeau was residing in Montreal during the Second World War,

00:10:27.980 not only did he not serve his country, but he mocked it.

00:10:33.000 According to biographers Max Nemny and Monique Nemny,

00:10:37.960 authors of Young Trudeau, 1919 to 1944, Son of Quebec, Father of Canada,

00:10:44.020 young Pierre and his friend Roger Roland played a prank in 1942 that involved dressing up in European military uniforms

00:10:52.280 and riding around on their motorbikes.

00:10:55.680 Allegedly, those European military uniforms were actually German uniforms from the First World War,

00:11:02.220 complete with spiked helmet.

00:11:04.460 But don't be too judgmental, folks.

00:11:06.380 Boys will be boys, after all, even though Canadian boys and some of our soldiers in World War II were not that far removed from boyhood,

00:11:17.520 died on European battlefields, trying and succeeding to preserve our freedom in Canada,

00:11:24.740 the type of freedom that would allow a future prime minister to make fun of Canada's involvement in the Second World War

00:11:32.140 by taking on the persona of a dark Mr. Dress-Up.

00:11:37.220 Oh, speaking of Mr. Dress-Up, that brings me to the son of Fidel, or I mean, son of Pierre,

00:11:44.100 little Bollywood star wannabe Justin Trudeau himself.

00:11:48.000 Justin's handling of Veterans Affairs has been, what's the word?

00:11:52.280 I think despicable covers it off.

00:11:54.440 Perhaps his lowest point on this file was that infamous statement he uttered at that town hall meeting last year in Edmonton

00:12:02.700 when he took a question from frustrated veteran Brock Belaschuk.

00:12:08.220 I was prepared to be injured in the line of duty when I joined the military.

00:12:13.700 Nobody forced me to join the military.

00:12:16.060 I was prepared to be killed in action.

00:12:19.200 What I wasn't prepared for, Mr. Prime Minister, is Canada turning its back on me.

00:12:30.880 So which veteran was it that you were talking about?

00:12:35.040 Thank you for having the courage to stand here, and thank you for listening to my answer.

00:12:40.720 On a couple of elements you brought up.

00:12:42.740 First of all, why are we still fighting against certain veterans groups in court?

00:12:49.200 Because they're asking for more than we are able to give right now.

00:12:54.500 Oh, sir, didn't you get the memo?

00:12:57.380 You merely put your life on the line serving Canada. 1.00

00:13:01.160 What you should have done is embrace radical Islam, kill a Canadian ally, and voila! 0.99

00:13:07.500 You'd be receiving a check for $10.5 million courtesy of the Canadian taxpayer. 0.99

00:13:12.340 Oh, sure, the Trudeau liberals didn't really want to make such a payout to the odious Omar Khadr,

00:13:19.160 our homegrown Al-Qaeda poster boy. 0.94

00:13:21.940 But as the spin cycle goes to fight this jihadi jackass in court, 1.00

00:13:26.700 would have cost the taxpayer exponentially more in legal fees. 0.98

00:13:31.360 Yeah, that's right.

00:13:32.920 When it comes to the radical Islam file, suddenly the tax and spend Trudeau liberals

00:13:37.840 miraculously re-examine themselves as fiscal conservatives.

00:13:44.340 Still, you have to wonder if not so little Omar is good for a $10.5 million lotto max payout,

00:13:50.900 then what sort of compensation awaits Vice Admiral Mark Norman?

00:13:54.860 After all, Mr. Norman is a decorated patriot whose only crime was doing the right thing

00:14:00.900 and exposing liberal meddling regarding a naval contract.

00:14:04.980 For having the temerity to do so, he was made a scapegoat,

00:14:08.840 thrown under the sub, had his reputation destroyed,

00:14:11.980 and incurred hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal bills.

00:14:16.260 Or, wait a minute now, maybe it is precisely because Norman is a decorated patriot

00:14:22.260 and that makes him the ideal candidate for being unjustly accused.

00:14:27.600 Such is Justin Trudeau's contempt for those who serve or have served.

00:14:33.860 Which brings us back to the latest light,

00:14:36.520 that VE Day video featuring Ratsies as Canadian soldiers. 0.67

00:14:42.300 At least in the aftermath, Minister Macaulay apologized.

00:14:45.260 Well, sort of.

00:14:47.060 Here is the Right Honourable Macaulay eating crow,

00:14:49.560 looking like a ventriloquist dummy, albeit one that embodies half the enthusiasm.

00:14:54.900 Well, of course, what happened with the video was totally unacceptable.

00:14:59.900 And I can assure you that the people involved and myself are truly sorry for what happened.

00:15:05.360 But it's awfully important that it does not take away from what our troops did 74 years ago this week.

00:15:13.900 Yeah, Minister, it kind of does take away from what our troops did in Europe 74 years ago.

00:15:20.520 And more so, numerous acts of slights by various liberal governments over the past several decades

00:15:26.900 take away from what our troops did in Europe 75 years ago.

00:15:32.560 The Remembrance Day tagline is,

00:15:35.240 Lest We Forget.

00:15:36.840 But for liberals, they seem to subscribe to the General Douglas MacArthur observation

00:15:40.740 that old soldiers never die, they simply fade away.

00:15:45.060 Except that for liberals then and now,

00:15:47.840 these surviving soldiers can't fade away quickly enough.

00:15:53.500 After all, these giants who literally put their lives on the line to serve our great dominion,

00:16:00.340 well, they're asking for too much.

00:16:04.380 Keep it here. More to come after this.

00:16:06.220 Last month, Rolling Stone magazine ripped Mark Morano as a quack

00:16:24.200 and slammed Fox News for having the utter temerity to book such a quack as a guest. 0.69

00:16:30.040 And even worse, Fox News actually allowed Morano to weigh in on a United Nations

00:16:35.700 Species Report.

00:16:37.560 Oh, mercy me.

00:16:39.260 Because naturally, the non-elected, unaccountable bureaucrats at the UN,

00:16:43.640 well, they simply know better than all of us uninformed schlubs residing out in the hinterland, right?

00:16:49.500 Well, to make a defense regarding that Rolling Stone smear job

00:16:53.100 is the target of that article himself.

00:16:55.680 Mr. Mark Morano, the founder of ClimateDepot.com.

00:16:59.200 Hey, Mark. Welcome to the Ezra Levent Show.

00:17:02.660 Quack, quack, quack, quack.

00:17:04.140 Oh, thank you very much. Happy to be here.

00:17:06.680 Just fulfilling Newsweek's, Rolling Stone's vision of me in Newsweek's. 0.58

00:17:10.880 Well, smoking like the true mallard you are, I suppose.

00:17:13.720 But, you know, the first thing I must ask you this, Mark,

00:17:17.020 is Rolling Stone still publishing these days?

00:17:19.440 And if they are, whatever happened to the good old days

00:17:21.960 when these cats used to write stories about rock and roll?

00:17:26.540 They used to be against the authority.

00:17:29.440 They used to be against the government-mandated consensus on the Vietnam War,

00:17:33.920 on drug legalism, all that stuff.

00:17:35.860 And now they couldn't be more establishment if they tried.

00:17:40.000 They are lockstep with the big media, big academia,

00:17:43.540 and all their opinions and views.

00:17:45.060 It's really surprising.

00:17:46.480 You know what?

00:17:46.920 That is an excellent point.

00:17:49.180 You know, they once were part of that counterculture,

00:17:52.240 and now it's like they've drunk the Kool-Aid from the progressive elites,

00:17:56.960 and they've become an echo chamber.

00:17:58.580 But what exactly has their knickers in a knot regarding what you said on Fox News, Mark?

00:18:05.240 Well, what's happening here?

00:18:07.280 What I said on Fox News, by the way, was 100% accurate.

00:18:10.880 I said the United Nations has hyped up a report on species.

00:18:15.780 They've come up with finding the alleged problem,

00:18:19.120 juicing it up and twerking it up in Al Gore's own words.

00:18:22.360 That's what Al Gore said about the UN report, climate report.

00:18:25.640 And they're putting themselves in charge of the solution.

00:18:28.400 And guess what?

00:18:29.020 The solution requires a complete transformation of our economy and society

00:18:33.380 in order to save these species.

00:18:35.300 That's all I said on Fox News,

00:18:36.900 that they were a self-interested lobbying organization.

00:18:39.080 And for that, they're going after me,

00:18:41.900 both Newsweek, Rolling Stone, and the Media Matters for America.

00:18:46.820 They are going bonkers because they want another layer besides climate.

00:18:52.320 This is an insurance policy.

00:18:54.020 If the climate solutions and scare fails,

00:18:57.020 they want to immediately have the species scare ready to go.

00:19:00.400 And they're trying to say that the climate change issue

00:19:03.340 is causing the species to go extinct, which is absurd.

00:19:07.460 You know, species are threatened.

00:19:08.640 Some of them are from habitat loss,

00:19:10.760 not from alleged man-made climate change.

00:19:13.160 And that's where they're failing.

00:19:14.040 And by the way, the million species the UN mentioned is total nonsense.

00:19:18.460 I think there's only a few thousand that can actually identify as being threatened.

00:19:22.840 So they just extrapolate out to a million, come out and say,

00:19:25.540 well, they're at risk.

00:19:26.540 And therefore, we need a radical transformation of society.

00:19:29.480 This is how the UN does science.

00:19:32.120 And Mark, the translation here,

00:19:34.560 when I hear words like a radical transformation of society,

00:19:38.480 that means I should be clutching my wallet in my back pocket

00:19:42.420 because I think big government is going to be taking out some do re mi 0.99

00:19:46.800 in order to pay for this radical transformation of society.

00:19:50.480 Am I correct?

00:19:51.200 Yes, you absolutely are.

00:19:53.380 They are now, this is modeled after the climate scare.

00:19:56.720 They're going to have,

00:19:57.680 they've already had several big international meetings in Japan,

00:20:01.040 all over the place.

00:20:01.660 Harrison Ford, Hollywood has been showing up for these.

00:20:04.760 And now they want a new treaty,

00:20:07.040 a species treaty, if you will,

00:20:09.080 to go on top of the climate treaty.

00:20:11.500 We're going to have treaties on climate, treaties on species.

00:20:14.760 All of them aim not only at the radical transformation,

00:20:17.440 but at every aspect of your life,

00:20:19.620 from your agriculture to your transportation,

00:20:22.340 to your land use, to your diets, to your appliances,

00:20:26.400 to every aspect of human endeavor.

00:20:28.920 But they're basically want to erase,

00:20:30.580 and they've openly stated these exact phrases,

00:20:32.940 they want to erase the industrial revolution.

00:20:34.960 They think it's been the most destructive thing

00:20:36.700 in the world history.

00:20:38.600 Incredible.

00:20:39.500 By the way, Mark, you've mentioned two celebrity names

00:20:42.540 in the last couple of minutes,

00:20:44.160 Al Gore and Harrison Ford.

00:20:45.880 Now, the last I looked, in terms of species,

00:20:49.880 Al Gore's been very silent of late

00:20:52.060 regarding the polar bear.

00:20:53.860 It was supposed to be, I guess, on death row by this time.

00:20:57.320 Actually, their population has quadrupled

00:20:59.620 since he made that Cassandra prediction

00:21:03.200 that they were going to go extinct.

00:21:05.700 And, of course, we have Harrison Ford.

00:21:07.320 He was in Canada recently.

00:21:09.120 Harrison Ford, correct me if I'm wrong, Mark,

00:21:10.840 he has a thing for flying his own airplanes, doesn't he?

00:21:14.460 That spews out a lot of carbon, doesn't it?

00:21:18.880 Yeah, I mean, Harrison Ford, Prince Charles,

00:21:21.440 Leonardo DiCaprio, Harrison Ford is so bad,

00:21:23.680 he admitted in an interview with the UK Guardian

00:21:26.220 or one of the European papers

00:21:27.820 that he sometimes flies up the coast of California

00:21:31.360 to get a cheeseburger.

00:21:32.480 That's the man who wants to manage everyone else's life

00:21:37.820 and support these policies that do that.

00:21:40.600 And, by the way, Arnold Schwarzenegger,

00:21:43.060 here I'm in his home state of California,

00:21:45.160 Arnold Schwarzenegger commuted daily

00:21:47.440 to the governor's mansion,

00:21:48.740 well, governor, in a private jet.

00:21:50.620 He didn't want to live in the mansion

00:21:51.700 because guess what?

00:21:52.960 The governor's mansion in California

00:21:54.380 would have been a huge step down

00:21:56.040 in terms of lifestyle carbon footage.

00:21:58.480 So he decided he'll live in one of his many mansions

00:22:02.380 and he'll just fly every day

00:22:03.560 like other people would get in their Toyota

00:22:06.480 or their Honda or their Chrysler

00:22:08.160 and commute to work.

00:22:09.260 He just flew his private jet every day

00:22:10.960 to the governor's mansion.

00:22:12.180 Wow, that's really a double whammy

00:22:13.980 with Harrison Ford

00:22:14.760 to fly up the coast for a hamburger

00:22:16.400 because isn't that part of the problem too?

00:22:18.320 Cattle farming,

00:22:19.420 all that cattle flatulence is killing us as well.

00:22:22.780 Yes, in fact,

00:22:24.580 the former UN climate chief

00:22:26.020 is openly saying

00:22:26.940 we need to start treating meat eaters,

00:22:30.460 anyone who eats hamburger steak,

00:22:32.000 as the same way you treat smokers in restaurants.

00:22:34.420 Either get in their own section,

00:22:36.020 put them out,

00:22:36.620 or ban it altogether.

00:22:37.680 This is the former UN climate chief.

00:22:39.540 This is where they're going.

00:22:40.680 The Green New Deal takes square aim 0.91

00:22:42.540 at meat eating.

00:22:44.360 The Harrison Ford group gets it all.

00:22:46.240 Private jets, hamburgers, 0.84

00:22:48.080 celebrity lifestyle, hypocrisy. 0.68

00:22:50.020 It encompasses so much.

00:22:51.640 But you know, Mark,

00:22:52.840 here's the thing,

00:22:53.940 and this is, I think,

00:22:56.080 what really drives regular,

00:22:58.820 you know, Canadians

00:23:00.060 and in your part of the land, 1.00

00:23:01.560 Americans crazy. 0.99

00:23:02.780 It's this mindset of 1.00

00:23:04.460 do as I say, not as I do.

00:23:06.820 Last month,

00:23:07.880 we visited a Justin Trudeau fundraiser

00:23:10.560 for the Liberal Party of Canada.

00:23:12.960 And I can tell you this,

00:23:14.640 for the approximately three hours

00:23:16.580 he was at that restaurant

00:23:17.840 doing his fundraiser,

00:23:18.940 his motorcade consisted of this,

00:23:22.500 a Chrysler 300,

00:23:24.140 three Chevy Suburbans,

00:23:26.360 two Toyota Siennas,

00:23:27.940 and one Ford Expedition.

00:23:29.820 And Mark,

00:23:30.640 for the hours they were there

00:23:31.940 in front of that venue,

00:23:33.360 the engines were running.

00:23:35.340 All of those eight vehicles

00:23:36.620 were idling.

00:23:37.660 So here's a prime minister

00:23:39.120 that's put a carbon tax on us.

00:23:41.560 You know,

00:23:41.980 the price of everything

00:23:42.860 is going up because of it.

00:23:44.180 And yet he has an eight vehicle

00:23:46.700 motorcade of gas guzzlers 0.99

00:23:48.800 running for hours on end.

00:23:50.420 I'm sorry.

00:23:51.340 I can't accept this kind of hypocrisy.

00:23:54.880 This is what they do. 0.79

00:23:56.240 I mean,

00:23:56.660 this is one of the most

00:23:57.660 challenging things

00:23:58.880 that the former UN chief

00:24:00.120 actually said he lived

00:24:01.860 at 30,000 feet

00:24:02.840 going to all these

00:24:03.500 exotic conferences

00:24:04.820 in Bali.

00:24:06.140 But it's one of the arguments,

00:24:07.480 one of the reasons

00:24:08.000 they can't sell

00:24:08.760 the general public.

00:24:09.680 If you are not willing

00:24:10.640 to take the measures

00:24:11.980 in your life

00:24:12.540 to save the planet,

00:24:13.860 whether it's climate

00:24:14.560 or species,

00:24:15.440 people just aren't buying it.

00:24:16.720 And by the way,

00:24:17.040 one note,

00:24:17.660 you mentioned polar bears.

00:24:18.980 Al Gore's first film

00:24:19.980 in the United Nations

00:24:20.640 made such a icon

00:24:22.080 out of the polar bears,

00:24:23.080 the poster child.

00:24:24.220 We are at or near

00:24:25.180 historic population highs.

00:24:26.620 Al Gore's sequel

00:24:27.360 two years ago

00:24:27.920 didn't even mention polar bears.

00:24:30.140 And the United Nations

00:24:30.980 climate report

00:24:31.760 doesn't,

00:24:32.480 species report

00:24:33.300 doesn't mention it.

00:24:34.200 You'd think if species

00:24:35.120 were in danger,

00:24:36.120 the big iconic polar bear

00:24:37.580 would be the headline

00:24:38.640 of this report.

00:24:39.760 Instead,

00:24:40.580 they've dropped it

00:24:41.460 like a hot potato

00:24:42.400 in terms of the poster child

00:24:45.440 for endangered species

00:24:46.400 because that's usually

00:24:47.720 what happens

00:24:48.240 when the numbers

00:24:48.940 go through the roof

00:24:50.120 and you have

00:24:50.520 an overpopulation problem.

00:24:52.240 And, you know,

00:24:52.840 I find that despicable

00:24:54.680 in a sense, Mark,

00:24:55.560 because, you know,

00:24:57.000 if they wanted

00:24:57.740 to take a balanced

00:24:58.960 and a nuanced position

00:25:00.620 regarding what's happening

00:25:02.080 to the planet,

00:25:03.340 shouldn't they, you know,

00:25:04.600 be like the umpire?

00:25:06.020 Call it as he sees it.

00:25:07.700 So he could have said,

00:25:09.320 you know,

00:25:09.680 there are some

00:25:10.620 good news stories.

00:25:11.560 For example,

00:25:12.260 we got it wrong

00:25:13.220 with the polar bear.

00:25:14.220 I'm happy to report

00:25:15.140 the population is thriving.

00:25:16.960 But they just now pretend

00:25:18.500 they never made this prediction

00:25:20.080 in the first place.

00:25:20.840 And I think that destroys

00:25:21.960 their credibility.

00:25:23.740 It does.

00:25:24.440 But here's how they handle it,

00:25:25.480 though.

00:25:25.960 They'll say it's worse

00:25:26.780 than we thought

00:25:27.260 for the polar bears.

00:25:28.020 They'll say,

00:25:28.420 how?

00:25:28.840 It's four or five times

00:25:29.840 the number,

00:25:30.280 record high.

00:25:30.940 How is it possibly worse?

00:25:32.840 Well,

00:25:33.200 our predictions

00:25:33.740 of 100 years from now

00:25:34.940 are much worse

00:25:35.840 than they were

00:25:36.280 just five or 10 years ago.

00:25:37.580 The predictions

00:25:38.380 are more dire.

00:25:39.700 Therefore,

00:25:40.140 we need to double down

00:25:41.080 our efforts.

00:25:41.860 That's how they get you.

00:25:42.760 It's called it.

00:25:43.560 Recently,

00:25:43.920 they released

00:25:44.480 the temperature data.

00:25:45.640 We are on a three

00:25:46.480 and a half year

00:25:46.940 cooling trend now

00:25:47.940 on global cooling,

00:25:49.040 right?

00:25:49.700 And instead of the headlines

00:25:50.940 were,

00:25:51.540 you know,

00:25:52.040 earth temperature,

00:25:53.120 not much changes,

00:25:54.360 but more dire predictions

00:25:56.120 for 50 years from now.

00:25:57.320 It's called a misdirection.

00:25:58.780 So if current reality

00:26:00.060 fails to alarm

00:26:01.080 or goes the other way,

00:26:02.440 just make a scarier prediction.

00:26:03.840 And that's what

00:26:04.520 the media,

00:26:05.180 academia,

00:26:06.120 funding,

00:26:06.820 everyone will go toward.

00:26:08.020 And it works.

00:26:09.380 It works,

00:26:10.160 except for the few outposts

00:26:12.120 like the rebel

00:26:12.960 and other,

00:26:13.940 you know,

00:26:14.320 and a few other outlets

00:26:15.640 that are willing

00:26:16.140 to buck the trend.

00:26:17.060 But that kind of tactic

00:26:17.920 works over and over

00:26:19.060 with the general media.

00:26:20.400 Well,

00:26:20.520 you know,

00:26:20.920 Mark,

00:26:21.760 I'm kind of surprised

00:26:22.640 they're thinking a century

00:26:23.740 down the road

00:26:24.380 like you're saying.

00:26:25.120 I thought

00:26:25.860 from the likes of AOC,

00:26:28.040 don't we only have

00:26:29.980 a dozen years left

00:26:31.120 on the planet

00:26:31.800 unless the Green New Deal 0.74

00:26:33.260 is implemented?

00:26:35.720 Yeah,

00:26:35.900 my headline today

00:26:36.840 at Climate Depot,

00:26:38.100 she was just kidding.

00:26:39.360 All those gullible Republicans.

00:26:41.100 That means CNN,

00:26:42.560 the New York Times,

00:26:43.480 they were all kidding too

00:26:44.680 in the United Nations

00:26:45.660 when they were out there

00:26:46.720 talking about

00:26:47.300 we have 12 years

00:26:48.220 to turn this around.

00:26:49.080 That means the United Nations

00:26:50.240 was kidding in 1989

00:26:51.440 when they said

00:26:51.960 we had 10 years.

00:26:52.840 That means the United Nations

00:26:53.820 was kidding in 1982.

00:26:55.260 That means Paul Ehrlich

00:26:56.280 was kidding when he said

00:26:57.320 within 10 or 20 years

00:26:58.600 England won't even exist

00:27:00.300 and the U.S.

00:27:00.940 will be,

00:27:01.280 you know,

00:27:01.840 facing famines.

00:27:03.600 They make these predictions

00:27:05.000 all the time

00:27:05.500 but she got such guff

00:27:06.680 for that 12 years

00:27:07.520 that she is literally

00:27:08.780 now trying to backtrack

00:27:10.100 which is significant.

00:27:11.240 It shows you

00:27:11.720 that there is a limit

00:27:12.580 to how much absurd stuff

00:27:14.380 they can take.

00:27:15.060 She must feel

00:27:15.580 some kind of pressure

00:27:16.460 from somewhere

00:27:17.180 to backtrack on that.

00:27:18.920 It's amazing.

00:27:19.480 I guess Time Magazine

00:27:20.500 in the early 70s

00:27:21.580 when they had a penguin

00:27:22.380 on the front cover

00:27:23.300 predicting an impending ice age

00:27:25.800 which by the next decade

00:27:27.900 morphed into global warming

00:27:29.520 and when that math

00:27:30.460 didn't kind of work

00:27:31.120 and now it's that nebulous

00:27:32.540 climate change

00:27:33.700 like whatever's happening.

00:27:35.240 I can tell you

00:27:35.800 it looks nice and sunny

00:27:36.840 where you are, Mark

00:27:37.560 but in Toronto right now

00:27:38.700 as we speak

00:27:39.300 it's 12 degrees centigrade

00:27:41.200 under normal

00:27:42.260 under miserable

00:27:43.620 gloomy gray skies.

00:27:45.080 I'm waiting for that

00:27:46.180 global warming to kick in

00:27:47.220 but on a serious note

00:27:48.280 isn't it true

00:27:50.240 that there's been

00:27:50.880 something like

00:27:51.700 five mass extinctions

00:27:53.700 in the history

00:27:54.420 of this planet

00:27:55.160 a mass extinction

00:27:56.620 being when more than

00:27:58.200 60% of the species

00:27:59.640 is wiped out

00:28:00.680 virtually overnight

00:28:01.580 and all of that

00:28:02.820 occurred before

00:28:03.820 Homo sapiens

00:28:05.100 was around

00:28:05.780 driving SUVs

00:28:07.380 and riding snowmobiles

00:28:08.620 and flying in planes

00:28:09.560 in the first place.

00:28:11.660 So I guess what I'm saying

00:28:13.160 is that

00:28:13.580 there are factors

00:28:15.100 beyond man-made activity

00:28:17.100 surely

00:28:17.640 that is influencing

00:28:19.460 the climate

00:28:20.420 and how the planet reacts

00:28:22.120 is there not?

00:28:23.760 There are.

00:28:24.620 In fact

00:28:24.880 in my report

00:28:25.920 at Climate Depot

00:28:26.520 which is at the top

00:28:27.200 of the web page

00:28:27.880 I go through

00:28:29.200 and I have

00:28:29.900 Greenpeace co-founder

00:28:31.080 Dr. Patrick Moore

00:28:32.040 an ecologist

00:28:32.720 I interview

00:28:33.160 English scientists

00:28:34.840 and they explain

00:28:36.120 that the previous

00:28:37.080 extinctions we had

00:28:38.120 were so severe

00:28:39.040 that extinction

00:28:39.660 first of all

00:28:40.120 is a natural process

00:28:41.220 it's anti-science

00:28:42.920 to try to say

00:28:43.780 we're going to save

00:28:44.360 every species

00:28:45.080 now

00:28:45.640 what they've done

00:28:47.240 in order to

00:28:47.780 torque up these reports

00:28:48.900 first of all

00:28:49.320 they get a few

00:28:49.880 thousand species

00:28:50.640 that are legitimately

00:28:51.420 probably endangered

00:28:52.320 and suffering

00:28:53.320 and they extrapolate it

00:28:54.960 to a million or more

00:28:55.980 and this is how

00:28:56.560 they get headlines

00:28:57.280 but it's kind of like

00:28:58.540 I could just say

00:28:59.360 you know

00:28:59.600 7 billion humans

00:29:00.640 are endangered

00:29:01.220 if we're hit by an asteroid

00:29:02.260 7 billion

00:29:03.220 all humans are endangered

00:29:04.560 everything potentially

00:29:05.940 is endangered

00:29:06.540 by just about anything

00:29:07.660 when you think about it

00:29:08.420 that way

00:29:08.760 but what they've done here

00:29:10.520 is these are based

00:29:11.740 on computer model simulations

00:29:13.440 and I quote

00:29:14.700 there's a Harvard biologist

00:29:16.460 named Edward O. Wilson

00:29:17.560 a very renowned scientist

00:29:19.380 however

00:29:19.800 what he does

00:29:20.480 is he plays to the media

00:29:21.620 and he has all these theories

00:29:22.800 and the media amplifies it

00:29:24.360 and people love it

00:29:24.920 he has the number of potential

00:29:26.580 but as yet

00:29:27.420 undiscovered

00:29:28.280 and unnamed species

00:29:29.420 that may exist

00:29:30.700 and they claim

00:29:31.220 50,000 species

00:29:32.180 are going extinct

00:29:32.920 every day

00:29:33.460 based on computer model simulations

00:29:35.060 of species

00:29:35.460 that we don't know their names

00:29:36.580 but we think they're out there

00:29:37.680 and we think they're going extinct

00:29:38.820 so what Patrick Moore

00:29:40.360 the quote founder of Greenpeace

00:29:41.380 says is

00:29:41.800 he wants Latin names

00:29:43.180 of these species

00:29:43.840 and I actually confronted

00:29:45.260 environmentalists on this

00:29:46.420 and they say

00:29:46.900 we can't name these species

00:29:48.400 because they're

00:29:49.780 they're microorganisms

00:29:51.700 they're bacteria

00:29:52.460 they're things that may exist

00:29:53.700 and Patrick Moore's answer

00:29:55.520 is these

00:29:55.900 he's found the missing

00:29:57.460 50,000 species

00:29:58.560 which are allegedly

00:29:59.240 going extinct

00:29:59.920 they're in the electrons

00:30:01.060 of the hard drives

00:30:02.060 of the computer

00:30:02.700 of these species modelers

00:30:04.560 that are doing it

00:30:05.460 this is what they're passing off

00:30:07.120 as hard science today

00:30:08.460 it's a bunch of speculation

00:30:10.000 models

00:30:11.180 predictions

00:30:12.000 scary headlines

00:30:13.240 and the big thing

00:30:14.240 is this UN species report

00:30:15.840 is just like the climate report

00:30:17.500 it's actually

00:30:18.700 UN bureaucrats

00:30:19.980 leaders

00:30:20.300 politicians

00:30:20.940 meet with the summary

00:30:22.560 of policymakers

00:30:23.100 they make the report

00:30:24.520 and then the scientists

00:30:25.320 have to go back

00:30:26.200 and make the supporting material

00:30:28.080 agree with the politically approved

00:30:30.480 summary for policymakers

00:30:32.120 this is a political process

00:30:33.900 from beginning to end

00:30:35.120 I have all the analysis

00:30:36.420 at Climate Depot

00:30:37.180 anyone who believes

00:30:38.740 this is a big science report

00:30:40.420 from the UN

00:30:40.920 is literally deluded

00:30:42.980 and has no clue

00:30:43.840 what they're talking about

00:30:44.700 this was not science

00:30:45.800 this was a political report

00:30:47.400 aimed at getting policy action

00:30:49.580 and aimed at getting

00:30:50.620 cheap headlines

00:30:51.440 and it'll probably work

00:30:53.140 that's the way our culture

00:30:54.200 is today

00:30:54.760 well Mark

00:30:55.800 I just have to say

00:30:57.000 don't be too harsh

00:30:58.280 maybe that electron

00:30:59.500 on that hard drive

00:31:00.920 identifies as an enzyme

00:31:02.160 or something like that

00:31:03.200 so we have to take that

00:31:04.460 you know we've got to wrap it here

00:31:05.900 one last point

00:31:06.660 as I always say

00:31:07.660 when it comes to

00:31:08.520 climate change stories

00:31:09.720 Mark

00:31:10.460 always follow the money

00:31:11.840 Al Gore is exponentially

00:31:13.920 more wealthy today

00:31:15.160 than he was

00:31:15.780 when he was in the White House

00:31:16.860 and I look at the headlines

00:31:18.240 of the day

00:31:18.620 the new Democrat

00:31:19.520 party government

00:31:20.700 here in Ontario

00:31:21.600 which is the official opposition

00:31:23.000 they're calling for

00:31:24.440 a declaration of a

00:31:25.820 quote

00:31:26.220 climate emergency

00:31:27.720 end quote

00:31:28.500 that's code speak

00:31:29.660 for another tax

00:31:30.540 I assume

00:31:30.980 and on the other side

00:31:32.620 of the world

00:31:33.080 I see in the paper

00:31:34.420 aboriginals

00:31:36.000 on low-lying islands

00:31:37.620 in Australia

00:31:38.400 are filing a human rights

00:31:40.680 complaint to the UN

00:31:42.380 because of carbon emissions

00:31:44.720 have not been curbed

00:31:46.200 so that's a human rights

00:31:47.460 violation to them

00:31:48.320 which means

00:31:49.200 code speak for

00:31:50.120 give us some money

00:31:51.400 to shut us up

00:31:52.560 and what do you want to bet

00:31:54.060 my friend

00:31:54.520 they're going to get it

00:31:55.380 right

00:31:55.720 so anyways

00:31:57.140 we could talk

00:31:57.940 oh sorry

00:31:58.520 go ahead

00:31:58.880 that's what it's all about

00:32:01.160 the climate justice

00:32:02.300 mining justice

00:32:03.460 climate funds

00:32:04.860 they actually

00:32:05.540 UN officials said

00:32:06.540 we will redistribute

00:32:07.460 wealth by climate policy

00:32:08.740 and they'll be in charge

00:32:09.880 of deciding

00:32:10.360 where the money goes

00:32:11.060 central planning

00:32:12.700 that's what it's all about

00:32:13.620 100%

00:32:14.500 follow the money

00:32:15.040 Mark

00:32:15.620 it is always a pleasure

00:32:16.880 talking to you

00:32:17.520 thanks so much

00:32:18.140 for taking some time

00:32:19.020 out of your schedule

00:32:20.100 and good luck

00:32:21.000 with your upcoming speech

00:32:22.440 and thank you again

00:32:23.820 thank you

00:32:24.760 and folks

00:32:25.440 keep it here

00:32:26.420 more of the Ezra LeVant show

00:32:27.840 to come

00:32:28.220 right after this

00:32:29.400 welcome back

00:32:40.640 now if you're wondering

00:32:41.460 where Ezra LeVant is

00:32:42.840 he's in London

00:32:44.200 covering what I call

00:32:45.840 the never ending story

00:32:47.740 that would be

00:32:49.160 yet another

00:32:50.400 Tommy Robinson trial

00:32:52.100 here's Ezra with more

00:32:53.820 for the rebel.media

00:32:54.820 I'm Ezra LeVant

00:32:55.580 I'm standing in the streets

00:32:56.620 of central London

00:32:57.340 not far away

00:32:58.180 from the old

00:32:59.200 Bailey central criminal courts

00:33:00.680 where tomorrow

00:33:01.320 Tommy Robinson

00:33:02.480 will be prosecuted

00:33:03.620 yet again

00:33:04.620 for contempt of court

00:33:06.300 when I say yet again

00:33:07.360 it's not for anything new

00:33:09.260 it's for what he did

00:33:10.560 a year ago

00:33:11.680 for which he was

00:33:12.860 already found in contempt

00:33:14.420 and then released

00:33:15.660 by the UK

00:33:16.740 Court of Appeal

00:33:17.580 in a unanimous ruling

00:33:18.920 that said

00:33:19.300 the first finding

00:33:20.160 of contempt

00:33:20.700 was improper

00:33:21.600 illegal

00:33:22.300 Tommy falsely

00:33:23.900 was prosecuted

00:33:24.780 and falsely served

00:33:25.860 ten weeks

00:33:27.320 in solitary confinement

00:33:28.940 as you know

00:33:29.760 we crowdfunded

00:33:30.580 his legal defense

00:33:31.380 a year ago

00:33:31.940 but instead of

00:33:33.040 leaving good enough

00:33:33.740 alone

00:33:34.220 Theresa May's

00:33:35.180 attorney general

00:33:35.940 has chosen

00:33:37.120 to take a second

00:33:38.700 crack at it

00:33:40.160 now where I come from

00:33:41.420 in the United States

00:33:42.400 that might be called

00:33:43.520 double jeopardy

00:33:44.420 I guess they don't

00:33:45.140 have that here

00:33:46.020 because they're taking

00:33:46.760 another run at him 0.88

00:33:47.660 you know

00:33:48.360 Tommy was the first 0.88

00:33:49.620 journalist to be

00:33:50.560 sentenced to prison

00:33:51.660 for contempt of court

00:33:52.600 since the 1940s

00:33:54.420 but I guess

00:33:55.740 that's not enough

00:33:56.740 punishment

00:33:57.220 for Theresa May

00:33:58.320 they want to put him

00:33:59.140 back in

00:33:59.620 it's rather incredible

00:34:00.580 to me

00:34:01.000 but just as incredible

00:34:03.000 is how blasé

00:34:04.680 the United Kingdom

00:34:05.960 is about the whole thing

00:34:07.300 I don't know

00:34:08.080 a single member

00:34:09.140 of parliament

00:34:09.780 that found it odious

00:34:11.340 that a journalist

00:34:12.540 was imprisoned

00:34:13.760 even when the

00:34:15.160 Court of Appeal

00:34:15.960 said it was improper

00:34:16.900 I didn't hear a peep

00:34:18.260 only Lord Pearson

00:34:19.900 of Rannoch

00:34:20.520 one member

00:34:21.480 of the House of Lords

00:34:22.380 spoke out

00:34:23.060 but other than that

00:34:24.260 silence from the

00:34:25.480 political class

00:34:26.240 actually that's not

00:34:27.200 even accurate

00:34:27.800 glee from the

00:34:29.140 political class

00:34:29.880 when Tommy was arrested

00:34:31.400 you'd think that

00:34:32.760 Reporters Without Borders

00:34:34.200 or some other

00:34:34.780 civil liberty types

00:34:36.060 would care

00:34:36.500 they didn't

00:34:37.040 I didn't see

00:34:37.900 a single article

00:34:39.100 by any worthy

00:34:40.840 pundit

00:34:41.500 worrying about

00:34:42.720 journalists

00:34:43.300 being in prison

00:34:44.200 I'm really worried

00:34:46.220 about the reporting

00:34:47.060 as much as the law

00:34:48.100 and that's why

00:34:48.880 I'm here in town

00:34:49.740 and bringing with me

00:34:50.660 eight other

00:34:52.840 journalists actually

00:34:54.000 from other jurisdictions

00:34:55.860 because I don't know

00:34:57.000 of any journalists

00:34:58.120 in the United Kingdom

00:34:59.100 at least in the

00:35:00.200 mainstream media

00:35:00.880 who give Tommy

00:35:01.560 a fair shake

00:35:02.220 and forget about Tommy

00:35:03.100 who report accurately

00:35:04.540 on these grave matters

00:35:06.720 at hand

00:35:07.240 so I brought with me

00:35:09.620 journalists from

00:35:10.480 Washington DC

00:35:11.160 including Cassandra Fairbanks

00:35:12.560 of Gateway Pundit

00:35:13.360 Pardes Saleh

00:35:14.560 who's running for

00:35:15.220 Human Events

00:35:16.040 Andrew Lawton

00:35:17.040 from London

00:35:17.760 Ontario

00:35:18.320 Canada

00:35:19.160 we crowdfunded

00:35:20.220 Avi Yamini's flight

00:35:21.320 from Melbourne

00:35:21.860 Australia

00:35:22.660 we sent a train ticket

00:35:24.300 to Jordan James

00:35:25.580 to come down

00:35:26.140 from Manchester

00:35:26.820 he's with the

00:35:27.520 alternative news site

00:35:28.720 Political Light

00:35:29.400 altogether

00:35:30.660 we've got

00:35:31.380 seven journalists

00:35:32.600 including Jessica

00:35:33.540 Svietsonewski

00:35:34.600 who's a young

00:35:35.720 journalism student

00:35:36.520 with the Rebel

00:35:37.300 in Toronto

00:35:37.900 plus two cameramen

00:35:39.940 so we're going to do

00:35:40.620 our best to cover

00:35:41.540 all of this

00:35:42.460 you can find out

00:35:43.180 more information

00:35:43.940 about us

00:35:44.460 at realreporters.uk

00:35:47.020 and I'll also

00:35:47.980 put my reports up there

00:35:48.920 I'll be live tweeting

00:35:49.740 from the court

00:35:50.620 so that's what I'm doing

00:35:51.440 here in town

00:35:52.060 but I have to say

00:35:53.000 it's extremely depressing

00:35:54.440 to see how little

00:35:55.820 the 5P professionals

00:35:57.940 as Daniel Pipes

00:35:58.860 would call

00:35:59.260 the establishment

00:35:59.920 the police

00:36:01.000 the prosecutors

00:36:01.680 the professors

00:36:02.380 the press

00:36:03.180 and the politicians

00:36:03.840 the 5P professionals

00:36:05.280 how little they care

00:36:06.120 about what I think

00:36:07.620 is as important

00:36:08.520 a civil liberties case

00:36:09.920 as any in this country

00:36:11.540 right now

00:36:12.020 but because Tommy

00:36:12.820 has the wrong

00:36:13.780 political flavour

00:36:14.620 he's a sacrificial lamb

00:36:16.520 I should also point out

00:36:17.760 as many of you know

00:36:18.700 that Tommy Robinson

00:36:19.360 is currently running

00:36:20.540 for public office

00:36:21.400 he's running to be

00:36:22.400 the member of the

00:36:23.100 European Parliament

00:36:23.880 for North West England

00:36:25.300 I think he's got a chance

00:36:26.340 because of how they

00:36:27.280 count the votes

00:36:27.960 and of course

00:36:28.780 there are 8 MEPs

00:36:30.380 that will be elected

00:36:30.940 Tommy could win

00:36:31.900 with as few as

00:36:32.940 little as 10%

00:36:34.100 of the vote

00:36:34.520 I think he's got a chance

00:36:36.000 but I don't think

00:36:37.020 it's a coincidence

00:36:37.680 that the Attorney General

00:36:39.220 is taking him to court

00:36:40.080 in the middle

00:36:40.520 of that campaign

00:36:41.360 I'm not sure

00:36:42.260 what's worse though

00:36:43.080 the kind of prosecution

00:36:44.160 of Tommy

00:36:45.500 that we're seeing

00:36:46.420 in the courts of law

00:36:47.600 by the Attorney General

00:36:48.500 or the silent censorship

00:36:50.600 of Tommy

00:36:51.120 by the Silicon Valley giants

00:36:53.460 like Facebook

00:36:54.140 Twitter

00:36:54.660 PayPal

00:36:55.200 Instagram

00:36:55.860 things like that

00:36:56.680 at least this outrageous

00:36:58.800 attempt to nail Tommy 0.93

00:37:01.260 for contempt of court

00:37:02.160 at least we can see it

00:37:04.180 in action

00:37:04.720 we can report on it

00:37:06.340 we can appeal it

00:37:07.300 Tommy has some sort of rights

00:37:08.920 to disclosure of documents

00:37:10.720 not so

00:37:11.780 when it's someone

00:37:13.540 in the bowels

00:37:14.880 of Facebook

00:37:15.620 in San Francisco

00:37:16.820 just pushing a button

00:37:18.280 and deleting him

00:37:19.500 I don't like any form

00:37:21.040 of censorship

00:37:21.740 but at least the ones

00:37:22.860 in the court

00:37:23.420 we can fight against

00:37:24.320 and know about

00:37:25.220 and there is some sort

00:37:26.760 of restraint on them

00:37:27.740 I think

00:37:28.560 I think the new phase

00:37:30.060 of censorship

00:37:30.620 certainly the one

00:37:31.420 that's come for Tommy

00:37:32.180 first

00:37:32.500 but certainly

00:37:33.640 he won't be the last

00:37:34.780 is the censorship

00:37:36.060 done by hard

00:37:37.180 left-wing activists

00:37:38.360 in Silicon Valley

00:37:39.800 and frankly

00:37:40.480 that's even more

00:37:41.700 terrifying to me

00:37:42.600 join me tomorrow

00:37:43.820 as I live tweet

00:37:45.480 everything from

00:37:46.420 the old Bailey court

00:38:01.960 the cheapest flight

00:38:02.960 we could buy them

00:38:03.680 and the cheapest accommodations

00:38:05.360 nothing fancier

00:38:06.280 than a three-star hotel

00:38:07.800 everyone's here

00:38:08.600 to do real honest journalism

00:38:10.440 because I don't think

00:38:11.500 we can trust

00:38:12.080 the UK mainstream media

00:38:13.360 alright that's it

00:38:14.320 for tonight

00:38:14.740 I'll see you tomorrow

00:38:15.520 from the old Bailey

00:38:17.080 criminal courts

00:38:17.860 where Tommy Robinson

00:38:18.680 once again

00:38:19.400 is being prosecuted

00:38:20.980 as an enemy

00:38:21.760 of the state

00:38:22.300 for the rebel.media

00:38:23.220 I'm Ezra Levan
