The problem with diversity is not that it makes us more creative, innovative, and creative. It s that it actually hurts us in the long-term. And it s not because diversity is bad for the economy, it s because it s bad for society.

00:00:00.000 For every cultural Marxist study contorting to prove how enriching diversity is, there are way
00:00:06.380 more that say otherwise, and many by leftists themselves, not the results they were hoping for.
00:00:12.200 Here's some studies. Increasing social pluralism, diversity, is correlated with increased chance of
00:00:18.020 collective violence. This is from the Journal of Peace Research. In Germany, residential diversity 0.99
00:00:23.760 reduces natives' trust in neighbors, while it also reduces immigrants' trust, but through a
00:00:29.040 different pathway. This is from Berlin Social Science Research Center. In Australia, ethnic diversity
00:00:34.700 lowers social cohesion and increases hunkering, providing support for Putnam's thesis finding
00:00:39.960 the same results in the U.S. Journal of Urban Affairs. Using data from U.S. states, study finds
00:00:45.940 a negative relationship between ethnic polarization and trust. This is from the Contemporary Economic
00:00:51.780 Policy. Diversity hinders between-group cooperation at both the one-on-one and group levels. This is
00:00:58.880 from the American Sociological Association. Ethnic homogeneity and Protestant traditions
00:01:04.200 positively impact individual and societal levels of social trust. This is from the Oxford Academic.
00:01:10.720 Our analysis supports the hypothesis that violence between groups can be inhibited by both physical
00:01:16.420 and political boundaries. This is from the Geography of Ethnic Violence by Springer. In Switzerland,
00:01:22.660 social peace between diverse factions isn't maintained by integrated coexistence, but rather by strong,
00:01:28.600 topographic, and political borders that separate groups and allow them autonomy. This is from the
00:01:34.100 Public Library of Science. The negative effect of community diversity on social cohesion is likely
00:01:40.360 causal. Oxford Academic. Social trust is negatively affected by ethnic diversity. This is from a case 1.00
00:01:46.820 study in Denmark from 1979 to the present by the Scandinavian Political Studies. An increase in immigration is
00:01:53.800 related to a decrease in social trust. Oxford Academic. More diverse areas reported lower levels
00:02:00.020 of trust in their neighbors. Diversity hurts civic life. This is from Harvard political scientist Robert 0.98
00:02:05.980 Putnam, who was really disappointed by the study, by the way. Blast from the past. 2007 New York Slimes.
00:02:12.300 The downside of diversity. The greater the diversity in a community, the fewer people vote,
00:02:17.560 and the less they volunteer, the less they give to charity and work on community projects. Virtually
00:02:23.560 all measures of civil health are lower and more diverse settings. And what is the lefty response?
00:02:30.160 No, you have to think long term. Never mind division now. Long run. It will all work out. Long term.
00:02:37.900 Never mind a few bodies here and there along the way. They hope everyone long term will mix out into a
00:02:44.460 goo of sameness. Lefties also argue that diversity makes people more innovative, more creative, and
00:02:50.700 more understanding. Okay, first off, before mandatory diversity, are you saying white people weren't
00:02:56.760 innovative and creative until they hired minorities and trans people? And as the Harvard Business Review 1.00
00:03:02.680 pointed out, force feeding diversity will create bias. If you force people to like you, they are not
00:03:08.760 going to like you. They will rebel against the authority trying to thought police them. This
00:03:14.000 article continues, in analyzing three decades worth of data from more than 800 U.S. firms and interviewing
00:03:19.960 hundreds of line managers and executives at length, we've seen that companies get better results when
00:03:25.720 they ease up on the control tactics. The positive effects of diversity training rarely last beyond a day 1.00
00:03:31.880 or two. And a number of studies suggest that it can activate bias or spark a backlash. What? People don't like
00:03:39.120 being controlled and thought policed? Told what to think and feel? Adults don't like being treated like
00:03:44.280 children? And they don't like being told who to hire? Oh, why people don't like being blamed for everything?
00:03:50.380 Shocking. Instead of spending time focusing on solving real problems, we take classes on diversity. Studies show that 1.00
00:03:58.020 diverse groups are more innovative and creative. Translation. Cultural Marxist studies show that
00:04:03.060 less white people means more awesomeness. Diverse groups encourage people to think on a global level.
00:04:09.000 Yeah, because you can't just think about your community. You have to think about Nigeria and the
00:04:12.520 entire world too, because that's what makes genius happen. Right. And diversity makes America's
00:04:18.140 workforce and militaries more competitive. No, mandatory diversity actually takes away real competition.
00:04:24.600 And how many times have militaries been infiltrated by foreign spies? Oh no, but diversity is our
00:04:30.320 strength. Reality is, multiculturalism leads to conflict. We're trying to prevent it. They're 0.98
00:04:35.980 forcing it to happen. Living in a dream world, thinking you could shove millions of incompatible
00:04:40.560 cultures together, enforce liberal values, give them dildos, and then all will be a kumbaya fest. 0.57
00:04:46.640 Who wants to be a drag queen when they grow up? 1.00
00:04:49.020 Not ever going to happen.
