00:00:00.620 A ministry leader named Josh Bice of G3 Ministries has been caught in a very embarrassing, very
00:00:08.500 online scandal.
00:00:10.080 We will get into this today, but there is very good news.
00:00:14.560 In the comedy world, it seems like more and more comedians are asking really good questions
00:00:20.240 about God and about the gospel.
00:00:23.160 We will get into all of that today.
00:00:25.180 But before we do, let me remind you about Share the Arrows, October 11th, 2025, Dallas,

00:00:55.180 Hey guys, welcome to Relatable.
00:01:00.960 Happy Thursday.
00:01:02.040 Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far.
00:01:04.420 Okay, how good was yesterday's guest?
00:01:06.780 I could have talked to him for hours.
00:01:09.960 I had so many questions, so many personal questions that I wanted to ask him medically.
00:01:16.380 Like, what do you think about this?
00:01:17.820 What is going on here?
00:01:19.040 I didn't go there, but gosh, I could have listened to him talk for hours.
00:01:24.580 So go back, listen to, or watch yesterday's episode if you haven't already.
00:01:29.020 Okay, we're going to get into the G3 scandal today.
00:01:33.620 And I really, part of me really doesn't want to because it is a very sad story.
00:01:40.120 It's a very embarrassing story for everyone involved.
00:01:43.860 I really like this ministry.
00:01:46.240 G3 stands for Gospel, Grace, Glory, Three Great Things.
00:01:50.100 And I think the ministry has been really positive over the years, especially in the fight against
00:01:56.420 the progressive drift.
00:01:58.020 It really stood strong during the crazy events of 2020 when it seemed like a lot of evangelicals
00:02:03.660 were losing their minds.
00:02:05.800 I spoke at G3 conference, I think, in 2020 at like a women's breakout.
00:02:11.180 I think it was 2020.
00:02:12.760 Yep, it was.
00:02:13.420 I remember.
00:02:15.440 And so I've known Josh Bice or, you know, just at least on the internet.
00:02:20.680 And I think I've met him once.
00:02:22.180 I probably met him at G3 a few years ago.
00:02:24.420 I'm pretty sure he was on the podcast in 2019.
00:02:27.580 Other than that, like, I don't have any affiliations or associations with G3 at all.
00:02:32.420 I've just been grateful for the resources they've provided, for the teaching that they've
00:02:36.420 platformed.
00:02:37.300 People like Votie Bauckham have been platformed like G3, Steve Lawson, who used to be considered,
00:02:43.200 you know, a solid expositor.
00:02:46.320 And so, yeah, I never saw any issues or expected any sort of scandal to come out of G3.
00:02:54.000 But unfortunately, that's exactly what has happened.
00:02:57.020 Now, it's not the typical scandal where the leader of a church has fallen into some kind
00:03:02.880 of sexual sin.
00:03:04.480 And this is a very online scandal.
00:03:07.660 And let me explain exactly what I mean.
00:03:09.520 So Josh Bice, who is the founder and president of G3 Ministries, he's also a pastor at Praise
00:03:15.240 Mill Baptist Church in Georgia.
00:03:17.760 He recently resigned after confessing to operating multiple anonymous online accounts used to
00:03:24.100 slander fellow Christian leaders and church elders.
00:03:27.580 I'm talking about solid people, conservative Christians, conservative theologically that
00:03:33.660 we all agree with.
00:03:35.420 And I thought that we all supported.
00:03:37.140 His resignation prompted the cancellation of the G3 conference this year.
00:03:43.040 So G3, in case you don't know, it's a Christian organization founded to, quote, equip churches
00:03:48.280 with sound biblical theology and reformed doctrine.
00:03:51.680 Their goal is to strengthen the local church by providing resources, conferences, and media that
00:03:55.940 promote expository preaching, church-centered discipleship, doctrinal fidelity.
00:03:59.700 Sounds great, right?
00:04:00.780 In addition to their annual conference, they publish blogs, a podcast, and books.
00:04:06.780 They have platformed people like John McArthur and Paul Washer, as I said, Vody Bauckham.
00:04:13.860 And Josh Bice has, as the leader of G3, he's led his organization, his church, to leave the
00:04:25.860 SBC, the Southern Baptist Convention.
00:04:28.380 They did that in 2022, citing a, quote, cultural shift to the left.
00:04:33.620 So again, this is an organization that I would say I probably align with on almost everything.
00:04:40.600 So what went down?
00:04:42.620 What is going on here?
00:04:43.700 G3 released a statement on May 12th, claiming that Bice confessed to operating anonymous accounts
00:04:50.640 used to smack talk Christian leaders.
00:04:54.980 This is the statement, quote, in recent weeks, the elders of PMBC uncovered irrefutable evidence
00:05:01.520 that Dr. Bice has, for the past three years, operated at least four anonymous social media
00:05:07.840 accounts, two anonymous email addresses, and two sub-stack platforms.
00:05:12.600 How does one person have the capacity to do that?
00:05:15.860 Even if you're not anonymous, I would think it would be really difficult to maintain all
00:05:19.700 of these anonymous identities that you want people to think are separate, are their own
00:05:23.700 like original, unique people.
00:05:26.100 I just can't even imagine how much energy that would take.
00:05:30.580 These accounts, the statement reads, were used to publicly and anonymously slander numerous
00:05:35.320 Christian leaders, including faithful pastors, some of whom have spoken at the G3 conference.
00:05:41.820 He was like going after his co-workers with some of these anonymous accounts.
00:05:46.780 Several PMBC, that's Praise Mill Baptist Church elders, so his own elders at the church that he was
00:05:53.280 the pastor of.
00:05:54.000 These actions were not only sinful in nature, but deeply divisive, causing unnecessary suspicion
00:05:59.760 and strife within the body of Christ, and particularly within the eldership of PMBC.
00:06:05.040 Neither G3 nor PMBC has released any information about the accounts and blogs, nor—okay, I was
00:06:12.220 just reading it like that was part of the statement.
00:06:13.880 That's not part of the statement.
00:06:14.800 But I'm noting to you that neither G3 nor PMBC has released any information about the
00:06:20.560 accounts and blogs, what the accounts and blogs actually were, nor have they presented
00:06:24.880 the evidence that caused them to be suspicious and confront Bice in the first place.
00:06:30.780 So G3 somehow found this out.
00:06:33.440 I do have some internal knowledge about how all of this went down and what actually led to
00:06:39.400 the confrontation.
00:06:39.960 But because that information hasn't been made public yet, and I have not been tasked by some
00:06:46.440 of these people to make it public, I'm just going to keep that to myself.
00:06:50.760 If they end up making that public, then we can discuss it more.
00:06:54.620 But they haven't talked about why they decided to have this meeting with Josh Bice.
00:07:00.460 But when the leadership at G3 did, when they called them into a room and said, hey, we think
00:07:06.300 that you've been operating these various Twitter accounts that you've also been interacting
00:07:10.520 with from your Josh Bice account on X to slander some of your elders and to slander some solid
00:07:17.860 Christian brothers, some other Christian teachers, and these Substack accounts, Josh Bice reportedly
00:07:22.660 completely denied it.
00:07:24.640 So he had been asked on multiple occasions over the past two years, this is not all just
00:07:28.700 happening right now, whether he had any connection to these anonymous accounts.
00:07:33.320 In each case, he denied any knowledge of them.
00:07:36.420 So for some reason, the people in Josh's life thought, that kind of sounds like Josh.
00:07:41.500 Now, it'd be weird if it was Josh, but it kind of sounds like him.
00:07:44.720 And so people confronted him over the past two years, and he lied.
00:07:48.140 And he said, no, this is not me.
00:07:50.280 But on Sunday evening, May 4th, 2025, after clear and comprehensive evidence emerged linking
00:07:55.060 the accounts directly to him, and we don't know publicly what exactly that is, the elders
00:07:59.760 of PNBC confronted Josh.
00:08:01.460 For some time, he continued to deny his involvement.
00:08:04.420 Only after further evidence was presented and much pleading with him to walk in the light
00:08:08.480 did Josh finally confess to his actions.
00:08:11.680 Oh my goodness, that is really, really sad.
00:08:14.160 So he thought he was going to be able to operate these accounts, lie about them, cover them up,
00:08:19.320 lie to people's faces about them.
00:08:21.760 And I just am, I am proud of, I'm impressed by the persistence of G3 leadership to get
00:08:30.240 him to bring these things to light, because it would have been a lot easier for them, especially
00:08:34.860 PR wise, to pretend that this didn't happen, to brush it under the rug, to keep it private,
00:08:40.320 and to just say, dude, we know it's you, but okay, if you're saying it's not you, I guess
00:08:45.980 like we just gotta trust you.
00:08:48.400 And they could have moved on.
00:08:49.340 Maybe they could have privately pushed him to resign.
00:08:52.200 He could have given some bogus answer.
00:08:54.320 They certainly would have been able to save face, but they didn't.
00:08:57.140 They did the harder thing.
00:08:58.580 They pushed him to give the honest answer, and then they showed transparency to the public.
00:09:04.560 So since then, Josh has acknowledged, according to this statement, his sin expressed sorrow
00:09:08.560 and asked for forgiveness.
00:09:10.400 His desire is to personally ask forgiveness of every person he has slandered or lied to.
00:09:16.920 So this reminds me a little bit of the Stephen Lawson situation.
00:09:19.840 You'll remember the statements that were given by his ministries.
00:09:23.040 I think it's One Passion Ministries, as well as Trinity Bible Church.
00:09:27.680 It was like he's been confronted.
00:09:29.740 He did confess when presented with the evidence that everyone knows that you're caught in this
00:09:33.940 sin.
00:09:34.680 And he's sad about it.
00:09:35.940 It's unclear if they're sad that they got caught or if they actually did it.
00:09:39.460 And he wants to repent, or it seems like he wants to repent.
00:09:43.740 But we don't have any evidence so far that he has repented.
00:09:47.200 We don't know if Josh Bice has repented.
00:09:49.200 I still am not sure that we know if Stephen Lawson has repented.
00:09:53.340 Again, we get a lot of vague answers about this, which is really sad, which means there's
00:09:57.780 a lot of praying to be done about this situation if Josh Bice, in particular, is not truly repentant.
00:10:04.660 And if he's only sad that he got caught and he's embarrassed, that's just not enough.
00:10:08.700 You got to feel shame over your sin.
00:10:11.740 Absolutely.
00:10:12.780 All right.
00:10:13.160 Let me pause and tell you about our first sponsor for the day before we explain the rest of this.
00:10:16.760 That's Adele Natural Cosmetics.
00:10:18.600 You guys know I love Adele.
00:10:19.980 I use their essential facial cleanser every day, their essential moisturizing spray, which
00:10:25.020 can be used for so many things, and it's just so good for my skin.
00:10:28.780 It's truly nourishing.
00:10:29.880 I love that it's made with all natural, holistic ingredients, all from God's medicine cabinet.
00:10:35.320 There's no synthetic fragrances, no endocrine disruptors or anything like that.
00:10:39.320 I also love their makeup.
00:10:40.760 When I'm not in the studio, I am always wearing their moisturizing foundation, their moisturizing
00:10:45.420 blush, their bronzer stick.
00:10:47.520 It goes on really smoothly.
00:10:48.960 It matches my skin so perfectly and just kind of gives that no makeup, makeup look glow.
00:10:55.880 I love it so much.

00:11:10.680 Code Allie.
00:11:11.420 So it doesn't seem right now that the elders consider him permanently disqualified from
00:11:22.100 ministry.
00:11:22.460 So it's not that he committed a sexual sin or like with Robert Morris when we talked about
00:11:30.760 that, that he had prayed upon a child, that he had lied about that, covered that up for
00:11:35.240 decades.
00:11:35.820 I would say that's permanently disqualifying.
00:11:38.140 That doesn't mean that you can't repent and be forgiven by God, but I would say that's
00:11:41.260 permanently disqualifying.
00:11:42.620 The leadership of G3 is saying they don't think that he's necessarily permanently disqualified
00:11:47.280 from ministry, but currently he is disqualified from eldership, from his senior pastor position
00:11:53.240 at Praise Mill Baptist Church.
00:11:55.120 At Praise Mill, he has been placed on indefinite leave.
00:11:59.200 He has also resigned from his position in G3.
00:12:03.760 His resignation was accepted unanimously by the G3 board on May 8th.
00:12:10.800 No independent public statement from Bice has been published as of now.
00:12:15.940 I'd be really curious to know what he has to say.
00:12:19.760 On May 13th, G3 provided an update for the sake of clarity on their original statement that
00:12:24.980 was released Monday, May 12th.
00:12:26.820 Due to the public and egregious nature of the sin, we believe Josh Bice has stained the
00:12:30.720 mission and character of G3 ministries.
00:12:32.780 After further consideration and godly counsel, we have made the decision to remove all of Josh
00:12:37.940 Bice's content from every platform.
00:12:39.780 So they had originally said that all of Josh's videos, that his articles and everything would
00:12:44.820 be kept up because they were sound.
00:12:46.900 They were still based in the Bible.
00:12:49.120 And I kind of cringed when I originally read that.
00:12:51.640 So I'm happy that they're removing this because the messenger does matter.
00:12:56.260 The message matters more, but the messenger does actually matter.
00:13:00.780 This will take some time to accomplish the removing of all of his content.
00:13:04.040 And from our founding, G3's purpose has been to educate and encourage, equip local churches
00:13:08.000 with sound biblical theology.
00:13:09.800 And so Josh's content just can't be used for that anymore.
00:13:15.080 G3 ministries canceled its 2025 national conference.
00:13:18.720 All workshops scheduled for the year, citing a commitment to avoid, quote, celebrity culture.
00:13:24.980 In the clarifying statement put out on May 13th, G3 ministry stated that while the conference
00:13:29.720 of the ministry could continue without Josh's leadership, we chose to cancel this year's
00:13:32.920 event primarily because several of the scheduled speakers had been simply targeted by him
00:13:37.960 through anonymous accounts.
00:13:40.100 So we don't really know what went on behind the scenes.
00:13:42.240 Did those speakers, after they found out that Josh was attacking them, did they say,
00:13:46.760 we're not going to speak at G3 anymore?
00:13:49.320 And that's why G3 had to shut it down.
00:13:52.840 Did they just cancel because it was too difficult without, you know, his leadership or there was
00:13:58.740 just too much going on?
00:13:59.660 They had to figure out how to, you know, clean up their house, get everything in order.
00:14:03.640 And it just wasn't the year for a conference.
00:14:07.040 I think all of that is very understandable.
00:14:09.560 Now, when I read the reason of celebrity culture, I think of the other kind of like mini scandal
00:14:16.380 that was going on online with G3, that they had this kind of, it was a VIP package that they
00:14:22.900 were selling for the G3 conference that cost a lot of money.
00:14:25.780 I don't even remember how much it cost.
00:14:27.520 Maybe like, I think it was like $5,000 or maybe, or maybe something like that.
00:14:32.120 And people were saying how awful this is, how terrible it is.
00:14:36.700 And I understand because this is a nonprofit organization, but I'm also someone who has
00:14:42.000 planned multiple events now.
00:14:44.040 And so I have a lot of understanding of what goes into planning events and how much it costs
00:14:49.640 to plan an event, how much you have to pay speakers.
00:14:52.600 You have to pay speakers, you know, you have to pay speakers and you have to pay for the
00:14:57.400 event center.
00:14:58.380 You have to pay for all of these different accommodations.
00:15:01.120 All of this costs money.
00:15:02.700 And in order to have general admission tickets that are affordable to most of the public, you
00:15:10.400 have to also sell ticket packages that cost more money.
00:15:13.920 And someone who is buying a $5,000 package to G3 or any conference, they are doing that
00:15:21.160 because that is how they want to support that organization.
00:15:25.240 And so the organization is saying, hey, if you want to support us by giving this money,
00:15:29.480 we will also give you something of value in return.
00:15:32.100 You will get to like eat with the speakers or whatever.
00:15:35.020 I didn't think that was a, I didn't think that was a scandal.
00:15:38.140 I thought all of the people that were kind of criticizing them about that, maybe there were things
00:15:42.720 that I didn't understand or information that I didn't know about that.
00:15:45.980 But to me, I'm like, oh, this is people yet again, expecting everything to be free and
00:15:51.960 not knowing that things cost money and that some things are expensive in conferences to
00:15:56.820 be able to accommodate those who cannot buy more expensive things.
00:16:00.360 So anyway, I don't know what G3 thought about all of those criticisms.
00:16:04.100 If that's actually part of why this conference was canceled or if it just had to do with Josh,
00:16:11.960 I'm not sure.
00:16:13.920 But G3 also said, we did not want to put the brothers who were targeted by Josh's anonymous
00:16:18.160 accounts in the difficult position of deciding whether to participate in an event so closely
00:16:23.600 tied to someone who had maligned them.
00:16:26.440 So maybe it was them preemptively just reaching out to those people and saying, you don't even
00:16:31.180 have to be put in this position.
00:16:32.380 I'm sure it was a little bit of both.
00:16:35.700 So let's talk about what these accounts actually were.
00:16:39.220 Now, G3 did not publish which accounts were operated by Josh Bice or which substacks were
00:16:45.460 operated by Josh Bice.
00:16:46.560 I think that would be good information to know.
00:16:49.060 But I also understand why G3 doesn't want to open that can of worms because then that's
00:16:54.840 just going to cause more division and more hurt feelings when at the end of the day, does
00:16:59.840 that really matter?
00:17:01.160 But there's been a lot of sleuthing because internet users, especially ex-users, are really
00:17:06.720 good at sleuthing.
00:17:08.580 And I can say, like, I do know that this is true.
00:17:13.940 Like, I do know, I have been told that these accounts were operated by Josh.
00:17:20.680 Now, obviously, I haven't talked to Josh directly, but I have talked to people who are very close
00:17:25.900 to this, and I would say that the internet sleuths have it, it seems like, for the most
00:17:30.220 part, right.
00:17:31.160 So there were two anonymous accounts, one called Big Eva Secrets and one called Wiki Preacher
00:17:37.320 that seem to have been operated by Josh Bice.
00:17:41.640 Now, both accounts have been made private.
00:17:43.640 So any attacks lodged on those accounts are not visible.
00:17:48.240 But a few were screenshotted before the attacks got taken down.
00:17:52.020 And even though I understand G3's position of not wanting to highlight these accounts,
00:17:56.480 maybe, you know, they're citing wanting to make a piece.
00:17:58.800 I also think that transparency is important.
00:18:01.540 And that's why I'm talking about this aspect of it.
00:18:04.340 I think it's important for people to know exactly what we're talking about.
00:18:07.080 How egregious was this?
00:18:08.520 Is it worth all of this?
00:18:11.440 So here's an example of a post that supposedly Josh Bice was putting out under the moniker
00:18:19.840 of Big Eva Secrets.
00:18:21.860 A voice crying in the darkness was how he described this.
00:18:25.000 So he said this was September 2023.
00:18:29.120 The Wilson-Askel combo, he's talking about Doug Wilson up in Moscow, Idaho, Tom Askel down
00:18:34.700 in Florida of Founders Ministries, trying to leech off the success of G3 by creating controversy
00:18:41.060 and subtweeting all conference.
00:18:43.040 It would be safe to say that Bice or G3 will not engage in similar ways.
00:18:48.160 I wonder why people thought that this was Josh Bice during the next Founders Event or Moscow
00:18:53.260 conference.
00:18:54.540 Lack of class.
00:18:56.640 OK, and then here is a tweet that he supposedly allegedly sent under the moniker Wiki Preacher
00:19:03.440 or Grant Hawthorne.
00:19:05.540 The Anon army is being fueled by Tom Askel and Founders, a little secret from the shadows.
00:19:12.840 OK, so he has all kinds of posts like this, calling out people that I think he would have
00:19:17.560 said in, you know, as Josh Bice, he would have said, these people are my friends.
00:19:22.500 These people are my brothers.
00:19:23.640 I mean, we certainly from the outside looking in would be saying they're all reformed.
00:19:28.080 They're all conservative Christians.
00:19:29.540 They're all against progressivism.
00:19:31.200 They're all on the same page.
00:19:32.400 They're partnering together.
00:19:33.140 That's what I would have thought.
00:19:34.620 But just like anything else, there was some level of competition.
00:19:38.880 All right.
00:19:39.100 We've got more to say about that.
00:19:40.340 Let me pause and tell you about our next sponsor.
00:19:41.820 First, that's WeHeart Nutrition.
00:19:43.760 I'm so grateful for WeHeart Nutrition and how it has helped my health so much.
00:19:48.360 I started taking their supplements at the beginning of 2024.
00:19:52.140 Have not stopped.
00:19:53.460 Have never switched.
00:19:54.780 I was taking another kind of women's vitamin from another company for years and years before
00:20:00.780 I started with WeHeart Nutrition and I just didn't feel like it was helping.
00:20:04.860 Like I was still getting sick all the time.
00:20:07.000 My immune system was suppressed.
00:20:08.840 When I started taking WeHeart Nutrition, things changed for the better.
00:20:12.020 Not just my immune system, but also my hair, skin, and nails.
00:20:15.020 How I feel is so much better.
00:20:17.340 I have loved their new product, the Wholesome Balance Supplement.
00:20:21.160 It's like the Swiss army knife for women's hormones, no matter what stage of womanhood
00:20:25.460 you're in.
00:20:26.060 So if you are postpartum, you want your hormones regulated, you're dealing with PMS symptoms,
00:20:30.720 you're going through menopause or perimenopause, you need the Wholesome Balance product.
00:20:35.760 Everything in it is in a research-backed dosage.
00:20:41.000 So they've got really good ingredients for women's hormones like key B vitamins, curcumin,
00:20:44.920 ginger, saffron.
00:20:46.280 It has really helped me feel good.
00:20:47.980 Go to WeHeartNutrition.com.
00:20:50.080 Use code Allie for 20% off your order.
00:20:52.900 Get your bottle of Wholesome Balance today.
00:20:54.840 Go to WeHeartNutrition.com, code Allie.
00:21:01.940 Okay, here is another post by them.
00:21:04.220 Why would the Gospel Coalition need to be giving away tickets?
00:21:08.240 They only have 4,000 registered.
00:21:10.160 The last announcement I heard from G3 is that they have 6,000 plus already and expecting 8,000
00:21:17.020 tickets this summer.
00:21:19.020 I wonder if that's true.
00:21:21.100 Like in person, 8,000 attendees?
00:21:24.940 I mean, maybe if you have low prices for the tickets.
00:21:27.900 But again, I don't know everything about events, but I know something about events.
00:21:33.180 And I know really popular events and popular people who, you know, they might get 2,000
00:21:40.160 people at their events.
00:21:42.920 And so I think that there might be some inflation of numbers here.
00:21:46.900 So it just seems to me like a lot of these accounts and sub stacks that he was operating,
00:21:51.560 they worked as some kind of like PR for G3 and for Josh Bice.
00:22:01.360 Okay, and here's an interesting thing here.
00:22:03.840 You actually see confirmation of who this is, this big Eva Secrets account.
00:22:09.620 He accidentally doxxed himself.
00:22:11.720 And the screenshot of that post where he's screenshotting an email to talk about the TGC numbers,
00:22:18.940 it says, hi, Josh.
00:22:20.720 Hi, Josh.
00:22:22.340 Whoops.
00:22:23.340 Whoops.
00:22:24.080 So, I mean, that's a pretty good confirmation that this is Josh Bice.
00:22:28.460 I don't know the Substack accounts.
00:22:29.860 Um, I don't know what he was operating and everything that he was saying there.
00:22:36.860 Um, and so, uh, yeah, I think there are a lot of people that came under fire, including
00:22:43.340 Kosti Hinn, including Votie Bauckham.
00:22:46.900 I mean, it just seemed like he saw all of these really solid reformed pastors is competition.
00:22:52.520 And there, to me, I, I read like a level of insecurity there that he really was trying
00:22:59.060 to compensate for something.
00:23:00.440 And he did not have the courage, the ability to have clarity from his, you know, own non-anonymous
00:23:07.820 account.
00:23:08.440 And so he relied on anonymity and cowardice to make these kinds of, to make these kinds
00:23:14.340 of statements, which is really bad.
00:23:15.840 Founders Ministry released a statement calling Josh's activities sinful, deceitful, slanderous.
00:23:21.400 Uh, they removed all of Josh's content from their own site, because again, I think they
00:23:26.340 probably thought that Josh was a partner, G3 was a partner.
00:23:29.760 And so they had platformed a lot of his stuff, um, his stuff as well.
00:23:34.960 So obviously this is very sad for the people involved in G3.
00:23:39.480 This is very sad for Praise Mill Baptist Church.
00:23:42.180 Like that is a sweet, precious church with a lot of solid Christians.
00:23:45.820 And whenever something like this happens, it rocks your faith for a bit.
00:23:50.080 When someone has taught you a lot and has been a mentor to you, either virtually because
00:23:56.000 you've been listening to their sermons, you've been reading their books, or maybe they are
00:24:00.760 your direct pastor, it is really difficult to separate the wisdom that they have imparted
00:24:08.760 to you from the character of the person.
00:24:11.640 And I think that's natural.
00:24:13.120 Again, the messenger actually matters.
00:24:15.180 The character of the person matters.
00:24:16.900 And so when someone whose wisdom has helped you grow in your faith shows that they have
00:24:23.120 a complete disconnect between the head and the heart, that's tough.
00:24:27.880 That's tough.
00:24:28.920 And I think that sometimes we can be harsh when people deconstruct or when they fall away
00:24:35.880 from their faith because they have endured some kind of scandal or they have endured genuine
00:24:40.540 church hurt.
00:24:41.240 And while sometimes I do think that is used as an excuse for people to deconstruct and
00:24:47.020 they just don't believe what the Bible says and they use past church hurt to justify their
00:24:52.420 rebellion, I think that we do have to have understanding when people have questions and when people
00:24:59.600 are worried about the truth.
00:25:03.440 Because really, at the end of the day, this hurts the reputation of the church.
00:25:09.120 And if anything you say or do puts the veracity of the gospel or the reliability of the gospel
00:25:20.340 at risk in people's minds, then that's something to be ashamed of.
00:25:26.340 Now, obviously, the gates of hell will never prevail against God's church.
00:25:30.720 And we know that God is going to seek and save the lost.
00:25:34.600 We know that he is going to work all things together for the good of those who love him,
00:25:40.800 who are called according to his purpose.
00:25:42.600 We know Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
00:25:45.820 We know Job 42 too, that nothing can thwart God's plan.
00:25:49.580 We know that God is refining his church, is cleansing his church, maybe is shattering some
00:25:54.980 of Christian celebrity culture to a degree.
00:25:58.460 Maybe he is showing us, hey, you can't rely on man.
00:26:02.720 You can't rely on the best expositors and the best theologians because they are sinful,
00:26:07.640 fallible people.
00:26:08.440 You can only rely on me, the only infallible source.
00:26:13.500 And so there's some of that going on.
00:26:15.780 And we can't see everything that God is doing because when God is doing one thing, when it
00:26:19.840 seems like he's doing one thing, he's actually doing a million things.
00:26:23.720 And so we need to be praying for Praise Mel Baptist Church, praying for G3.
00:26:28.260 Again, I think that they made really hard and good decisions in trying to be as transparent
00:26:33.620 and honest as possible.
00:26:35.400 Pray for our friend Virgil Walker as well.
00:26:37.600 Virgil has been on this show.
00:26:39.040 He helped with Share the Arrows last year.
00:26:41.960 He is just absolutely a pillar when it comes to pro-life work and his heart for the unborn is
00:26:50.600 so soft and he was doing really good things at G3.
00:26:53.600 And as you can imagine, I've talked to Virgil a little bit, he's heartbroken over this.
00:26:56.960 So please be praying for his family, his wife, his children, the church there, and be praying
00:27:03.800 for Josh.
00:27:04.840 He needs to be brought to repentance.
00:27:06.740 I know that there are some people in his circles, and maybe he's still thinking this
00:27:10.120 himself.
00:27:10.560 I don't know that this is really not that big of a deal, that we're making a mountain out
00:27:14.480 of a molehill.
00:27:15.940 People have anon accounts all the time.
00:27:18.780 No, you lied.
00:27:20.680 You lied.
00:27:21.720 You were in perpetual and persistent sin when you lied and you covered up and you made divisions
00:27:27.100 when you didn't have to.
00:27:30.200 And so that's the issue here.
00:27:32.020 It's not just the anonymous accounts.
00:27:34.120 It's what the anonymous accounts were actually saying.
00:27:37.620 It's that he covered it up.
00:27:40.660 And we know that the Bible warns against those who are intentionally creating divisions, not
00:27:46.180 just by telling the truth, because the truth can absolutely divide, that's its nature, but
00:27:52.040 by saying things that are untrue, saying things that are meant to cause dissension.
00:27:58.180 Here's Titus 3.10.
00:27:59.660 As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing
00:28:06.220 to do with him, nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful.
00:28:12.220 He is self-condemned.
00:28:13.960 That is Titus 3.10-11 and verse 9 actually is applicable.
00:28:19.740 But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for
00:28:23.600 they are unprofitable and worthless.
00:28:26.620 And the person that engages in that and pushes that, especially anonymously, is not only condemned,
00:28:32.600 but cowardly.
00:28:33.740 And so pray for Josh that he would have real repentance and that we would be able to see
00:28:38.800 the fruit of that repentance.
00:28:40.840 Okay, now let's move into some happy things, because sometimes it just seems like the church
00:28:46.320 has fallen apart because we have leader after leader that betrays us.
00:28:50.440 But we have to remember, God's eternal plan of redemption is always going off without a
00:28:55.340 hitch, that there's nothing that we can do, nothing that happens that ever surprises him,
00:28:59.240 never takes him aback, never throws him off.
00:29:01.680 He's never coming in just to clean up the mess.
00:29:04.160 He is always sovereign over all of it.
00:29:06.120 And even as all of this craziness is happening on the human level, he is doing something in
00:29:12.400 the hearts of people.
00:29:13.860 And I see indication after indication of this.
00:29:17.920 I don't know how often you guys listen to these comedian-led podcasts, whether it's Joe
00:29:22.960 Rogan or Andrew Schultz or Theo Vaughn.
00:29:25.660 But if you can get past some of the profanity, there are some really interesting and profound
00:29:33.180 conversations that are happening on some of these episodes.
00:29:37.620 So Andrew Schultz, he leads the Flagrant podcast.
00:29:42.320 I've actually never listened to it.
00:29:43.440 I've just seen clips here and there.
00:29:44.880 Andrew Schultz, I think, is kind of like in the anti-woke world.
00:29:49.560 I don't know if I would call him conservative.
00:29:51.180 But I loved that he had Wes Huff on the show.
00:29:55.560 We've had Wes Huff on the show after he was on Joe Rogan's podcast to talk about theology
00:30:00.860 and apologetics, the historical evidence for the existence of Jesus.
00:30:06.220 And he went on the Andrew Schultz podcast, who seems to be asking questions about Christianity
00:30:12.680 and wanting to know what is actually true.
00:30:17.180 So let me play you a couple clips from that episode, because I just loved the back and
00:30:22.200 forth.
00:30:22.560 Here's top three.
00:30:24.180 Christianity is the fittest stepping down and sacrificing himself for the survival of the
00:30:27.440 weakest.
00:30:28.860 And that changes things in that mercy and justice are not pitted against each other.
00:30:33.820 It's not justice at the expense of mercy.
00:30:35.520 It's not mercy at the expense of justice.
00:30:36.920 They're actually accomplished together in the act of the cross, where the self-volunteering
00:30:43.580 of Jesus going to the cross, right?
00:30:45.800 He says, no one takes my life from me.
00:30:47.380 I give it of my own accord.
00:30:48.960 I love that.
00:30:49.880 I mean, that's just like a beautiful picture of the gospel, a very important part of the
00:30:54.940 gospel.
00:30:55.940 And I don't know if Andrew Schultz and the people in that room understood everything he
00:30:59.920 was saying right there.
00:31:00.900 But we do know that the word of God doesn't return void.
00:31:03.200 And it really doesn't matter exactly what we say.
00:31:07.580 What matters is what the word of God says.
00:31:09.380 And if we repeat the word of God, that's the only way we can be sure that we are right
00:31:13.120 when we are citing scripture.
00:31:15.160 So he's on this kind of bro podcast tour right now.
00:31:18.960 I hope he goes on Theo Vaughn's show.
00:31:20.720 That would be really fun.
00:31:21.980 I always wonder people who are interacting with Theo Vaughn, like if they truly feel awkward
00:31:27.320 or if they're going along with the bit, I don't know.
00:31:30.420 But it always ends up in like really great clips.
00:31:33.200 And I think it would be a really perfect conversation.
00:31:37.260 Wes also had a conversation with Andrew about John the Baptist.
00:31:41.080 Did John the Baptist always know that Jesus was the son of God, the Messiah?
00:31:46.220 And Wes Huff said that we didn't know for sure.
00:31:48.500 And that really made me start thinking about John the Baptist and Jesus's relationship.
00:31:53.340 Obviously, he did know at some point or on some level who Jesus was in the womb when
00:31:58.460 he was in Elizabeth's womb, he kicked and he flipped around when Mary like entered the
00:32:03.820 room and obviously he made the way for Jesus as the Savior and Messiah.
00:32:09.180 But we don't know like what their adolescence was like.
00:32:11.540 So I just love seeing Andrew Schultz's wheels turn.
00:32:14.940 And I love when I think he's a non-believer.
00:32:17.280 Non-believers ask really cool and original questions about the Bible that we didn't really
00:32:21.540 talk about in church growing up.
00:32:23.200 OK, I've got another example of that in a second.
00:32:25.040 Let me pause and tell you about our next sponsor for the day.
00:32:28.260 This is an awesome company called Interior Delights.
00:32:31.200 So if you're like me and you like a classic, simple, beautiful, timeless, bright style,

00:32:43.420 This is a Colorado-based, Christian-owned company.
00:32:47.960 They sell decor online.
00:32:49.760 It is all so good.
00:32:50.980 Y'all, I'm a pretty simple gal when it comes to decor, but I can be very paralyzed when
00:32:56.040 it comes to picking it out and knowing where to put it and how to display it.
00:33:00.540 But Interior Delights makes it really simple.
00:33:03.960 All of their products are handpicked, carefully curated with quality, function and style in
00:33:08.840 mind.
00:33:09.620 Every week they share new styling tips and decorating inspiration.
00:33:13.840 I need that.
00:33:14.600 I need decorating inspiration.
00:33:16.160 I need styling tips.
00:33:17.440 I love Sarah at Interior Delights.
00:33:19.440 She just loves what she does.
00:33:21.280 She loves her customers, and they make making your home beautiful really, really easy.
00:33:26.120 So go to InteriorDelights.net slash Allie.
00:33:29.200 Use code Allie for 10% off your first purchase.
00:33:32.740 InteriorDelights.net slash Allie.
00:33:35.000 Code Allie.
00:33:41.040 Okay, so here's more of his explanation of the gospel that I really loved.
00:33:44.980 Here's top four.
00:33:46.740 God doesn't need to do any of this.
00:33:48.140 God doesn't need to create, God doesn't need to forgive, God doesn't need to give mercy
00:33:51.120 or justice.
00:33:51.940 But the fact that he does, and then calls us all into that.
00:33:55.560 Like, it's less of a, just don't do it anymore.
00:33:58.200 It's more of like, meta-noia.
00:34:00.820 Change your brain.
00:34:02.060 Like, change it entirely.
00:34:04.020 Your thought patterns start...
00:34:05.860 It's what I talked about before with the Ten Commandments.
00:34:07.940 Like, you're seeing it as a command, and God is saying, no, it's a promise.
00:34:12.140 You don't need to steal.
00:34:13.180 You don't need to murder.
00:34:13.980 You don't need to lie.
00:34:14.780 You don't need to...
00:34:15.480 Those are promises that God makes to you because of who you are through what he can do.
00:34:22.040 That's so good.
00:34:22.880 It's not that Christianity just makes you a better person or a different person.
00:34:26.600 It makes you a new person.
00:34:28.260 The old self passes away, and the new self is given to you by grace through faith in
00:34:33.180 Christ.
00:34:33.660 This is such an important concept and a very unique lens through which you can see the Old
00:34:38.860 Testament commands as well as the New Testament gospel.
00:34:42.160 Again, I just love how Wes Huff is sharing this with them.
00:34:47.160 And I just pray for Andrew Schultz, and I pray for everyone on this journey.
00:34:51.140 This political moment that we are in is making a lot of people second-guess what they previously
00:34:57.800 believed.
00:34:58.540 I can't tell you how many times that I have gotten a message from someone who, whether
00:35:04.140 it was in 2020 after all of that craziness happened, or whether it was this past election
00:35:08.540 season where they started questioning their progressive presuppositions because they saw
00:35:15.240 their worldview manifest itself in chaos and corruption, like through Black Lives Matter and a lot of
00:35:22.180 the riots and the violence and the anti-racist racism that we saw so prominently in 2020, or
00:35:30.620 they have seen Democrats come to actually openly celebrate abortion.
00:35:35.480 And they've started to question, OK, like, is that really true?
00:35:40.020 Or, OK, the Democrats have left me, or that's not what I thought progressivism meant.
00:35:44.780 Or maybe they realized that they were kind of being led by that toxic empathy.
00:35:50.800 And their questions politically and culturally and morally then led them to ask questions
00:35:57.500 spiritually and led them to reading the Bible and really understanding what it says.
00:36:04.080 There's a journalist who is definitely more liberal, and he shared on Instagram that I am
00:36:11.420 a good person, that Allie B. Stuckey is a good person to follow because I'm not diehard MAGA,
00:36:16.200 but there is a window into what conservative Christian women think.
00:36:20.080 And there was this very sweet person who messaged me who said, after I reposted what this journalist
00:36:25.820 said, this sweet person who messaged me said, yeah, I started listening to you five years ago
00:36:30.660 because I hated you and I was hate watching you and I was hate listening to you.
00:36:34.720 I didn't like what you had to say.
00:36:35.920 I was arguing against you.
00:36:37.180 Then slowly but surely, her own mind changed.
00:36:40.360 And I don't take credit for that.
00:36:41.960 God changes minds and hearts.
00:36:44.040 But I've seen that so much over the past few years, that people's minds and hearts are really
00:36:50.240 changing as they're asking questions.
00:36:52.560 And I just wonder if this political moment that we're in is causing people to second guess
00:36:57.640 what they thought they always believed.
00:36:59.700 And Wes Huff is like the perfect man for this moment.
00:37:02.400 As I said, he was on Joe Rogan and he talked about the evidence for Jesus and the evidence
00:37:09.380 for the resurrection.
00:37:11.720 And in an interview recently that Joe Rogan had with another comedian, his name is Cody
00:37:16.280 Tucker, they were talking about the Big Bang Theory.
00:37:19.440 And Joe Rogan has been talking about evolution and believing that the earth is millions of years
00:37:24.420 old for a long time.
00:37:26.700 But then he starts to question the idea that all of this stuff came from absolutely nothing.
00:37:32.660 Here's what he says in Psalm 5.
00:37:34.520 It's funny because people would be incredulous about the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
00:37:38.860 But yet they're convinced that the entire universe was smaller than the head of a pen.
00:37:44.340 And for no reason than anybody's adequately explained to me.
00:37:48.160 Makes sense.
00:37:49.160 Yeah.
00:37:49.600 No.
00:37:50.040 It's detainously became everything.
00:37:53.080 Yeah.
00:37:53.400 Okay.
00:37:53.740 I can't buy that.
00:37:56.500 I'm sticking with Jesus on that one.
00:37:58.640 Jesus makes more sense.
00:38:00.760 It does.
00:38:01.880 It makes more sense.
00:38:03.040 And it makes sense why Jesus is called the Logos in John 1.
00:38:07.900 He is the word made flesh.
00:38:09.680 He is called the Logos.
00:38:11.700 He invented logic.
00:38:13.600 Of course, it's more logical to believe that there is a supernatural transcendent power that
00:38:19.920 is higher than us that actually created everything in existence.
00:38:23.740 I really don't think that's difficult to believe at all.
00:38:26.120 It is so difficult, actually, outside of the realm of human possibility or capacity, to
00:38:32.680 imagine that all of this exists because of nothing.
00:38:37.440 That there was nothing.
00:38:38.400 How did it get here?
00:38:40.040 How did it start?
00:38:41.600 There was no initiation.
00:38:43.480 There was nothing higher than it that preexisted it, that made it, that caused it.
00:38:48.800 It just doesn't even make any sense.
00:38:50.180 It takes so much faith to believe that.
00:38:53.500 And that faith is super, super risky.
00:38:55.640 Like, if I'm wrong and there really is no afterlife, I'm not risking anything.
00:39:00.200 I have a very purposeful and joy-filled life.
00:39:02.680 I have something that is helping me through suffering.
00:39:05.600 And I know, obviously, that's not what the gospel in Christianity is.
00:39:09.020 But I'm risking nothing by believing this.
00:39:11.220 But if an atheist is wrong, and Jesus really is the way, the truth, and the life, as John
00:39:16.700 14, 6 says, and if he really did rise from the dead, if you're wrong, and Christianity
00:39:23.120 is right, you're risking everything.
00:39:25.900 You're risking all of eternity.
00:39:28.020 And so I don't know how much Joe Rogan really believes.
00:39:30.760 But I wonder if his thinking is shifting on this, because I know he's cast doubt on the
00:39:37.000 resurrection in the past.
00:39:38.560 And so I wonder if his conversation with Wes Huff and with other people have actually made
00:39:44.000 him start second-guessing his own belief.
00:39:46.860 So let's pray for these people, because this is a really cool moment.
00:39:49.920 It can be a cool moment.
00:39:51.560 Yes, we see failures within the church, but God never fails.
00:39:54.740 Okay?
00:39:54.980 God never fails.
00:39:56.040 And he turns hearts of stone into hearts of flesh.
00:39:58.540 He has a 100% success rate, and we can trust in that and rejoice in that.
00:40:02.180 And let us be a part of that.
00:40:03.540 He has chosen prayer and evangelism to be the mechanisms by which he allows people to know
00:40:09.680 him, and we get to be the vessels of that truth.
00:40:12.940 So let's do it.
00:40:14.140 All right, before we close out today, let me tell you about our last sponsor, and that is
00:40:18.540 Faith Under Siege.
00:40:20.100 This is a documentary about the persecution of Christians by Russians in Ukraine.
00:40:25.900 So this is a region that was kind of once celebrated as the post-Soviet Bible Belt.
00:40:31.160 There was a rapid community of evangelical believers.
00:40:34.680 They've now become a prime target for Russia's expanding occupation.
00:40:39.300 They have endured seized churches, tortured pastors, abducted children.
00:40:43.720 And a lot of people don't know about this.
00:40:45.360 I didn't know about this.
00:40:46.580 And this is a documentary that has been featured by my friends at Museum of the Bible.
00:40:51.780 I'm very grateful for them shedding a light on this, but you need to check out this documentary
00:40:55.700 too.
