00:00:00.000 demons right now and over the past year, they've been rejoicing. Satan has been glad that he took
00:00:05.680 an effective soldier out of the fight and everyone who follows Satan feels the same way.
00:00:10.060 What an incredible honor. May we all, when we die, make the demons rejoice. May we all be so
00:00:15.700 courageous and so bold and so effective and so faithful and so obedient to the Lord and so
00:00:21.360 relentless in the pursuit of his glory that when we die, all of God's enemies cheer. If the enemy's
00:00:26.660 goal was to scare people into silence, I think he failed. And that's what happens when you make
00:00:32.140 a martyr. You embolden everyone who believes like they do. This episode is brought to you by

00:00:44.600 today. Hey y'all, welcome to Relatable. Happy Wednesday. Hope everyone is having a wonderful
00:00:59.160 day, a wonderful week so far. Well, this is a special episode. It's a somber episode because
00:01:05.000 tomorrow marks the one year mark since Charlie Kirk was murdered on the campus of Utah Valley
00:01:12.800 University. And it's hard to believe that it's been a year. In some ways, I look back and I think
00:01:19.220 this has gone by so quickly. And in other ways, it feels like a completely different lifetime.
00:01:24.960 He was doing this American comeback tour. And I know from talking to those who were very close
00:01:30.900 to Charlie, how excited he was about this and how much he had been studying scripture and studying
00:01:35.760 theology this Friday. We're going to have his very good friend and mentor, Frank Turek,
00:01:40.540 on the show to talk a little bit more about that, talk about a lot of things. But of course,
00:01:45.340 Frank Turk was there in the car with Charlie trying to resuscitate him after he had been shot.
00:01:51.940 So getting his perspective again, his thoughts on everything that has happened over the past year
00:01:57.240 is going to be extremely insightful and I think edifying too. But today I want to not only kind
00:02:04.180 of relive that day a little bit, and I know that may sound morbid, but just to bring us back to
00:02:10.060 how it felt losing such a towering figure and to remember the encouragement that really is only
00:02:19.000 possible through the Lord because he seems to work kind of paradoxically when you least expect
00:02:24.160 it, how you least expect it, where you least expect it. And just bring ourselves back to that
00:02:29.660 moment of yes, feeling so sad, but also being strengthened by the reality that God's eternal
00:02:35.140 plan of redemption really is going off without a hitch. We're going to look at some dark things,
00:02:41.260 but I'm not going to leave us there. I'm not just going to lead us into the darkness, into the evil
00:02:45.400 that went on then and what is going on now when it comes to opposition to Charlie and everything
00:02:51.660 that he believed in. But I'm going to use it actually as a way to remind us of the spiritual
00:02:57.480 battle that we're facing and the strength that we have through the Holy Spirit, the encouragement
00:03:01.220 that we have even as we look to the darkness of the world.
00:03:05.920 And first, I just, for those of you who haven't been following me maybe for very long and
00:03:10.300 you didn't see the memorial episode that we did about Charlie the day after he died.
00:03:16.380 And so you haven't heard me kind of tell this story, but maybe just for my own sake,
00:03:21.580 maybe it's kind of cathartic, but maybe it is for you.
00:03:24.320 I just kind of want to take us back to what it was like for me in that moment when I got
00:03:29.720 a text that Charlie Kirk had been shot on a college campus. I was driving to a doctor's
00:03:35.820 appointment and I got a text from my publicist saying, I just heard that Charlie Kirk has been
00:03:43.780 shot. And at first, of course you hear something that crazy. And the first instinct that you have,
00:03:49.900 the first feeling is just denial that that's probably not true. You know, you see something
00:03:54.260 on X. Things are set on X. Things are announced just to kind of stir up strife or stir up paranoia.
00:04:00.800 People want to be the first one to announce something crazy. So they probably exaggerate
00:04:05.340 a situation. And that's at first what I thought was happening. And then my mind wouldn't even
00:04:09.820 allow me to go to the possibility that this had been a fatal wound. The first thing I thought was,
00:04:14.720 wow, he's been shot in the leg or shot in the arm. That's so crazy that someone actually went
00:04:19.340 to that link to try to hurt Charlie, but of course he's going to be okay. But then I continued to get
00:04:24.740 texts saying, you know, actually, uh, this seems pretty bad. I'm seeing some reports that it was
00:04:30.600 in the head or neck. Okay. I still didn't want to believe that this was true. So I immediately
00:04:35.900 called him in the car. I immediately called our mutual friend. And when our mutual friend picked
00:04:42.540 up, he was just sobbing. And that's when I knew, okay, like he's not just getting this information
00:04:49.680 from X because he was closer to Charlie and to Andrew Colvatt. And so he was actually hearing
00:04:56.260 on the ground updates. Andrew Colvatt wasn't there in person, but hearing from those closest
00:05:01.860 to Charlie, what is actually happening. And so it was confirmed through his reaction that this
00:05:08.720 was real. And I still didn't know. We didn't know at that point. I mean, this was like right when it
00:05:13.700 happened that I was getting these texts. We didn't know what the outcome would be. I still, my mind
00:05:19.000 would not accept the fact that he was dead or that he could be dead. And I, but I immediately,
00:05:26.200 I had to pull over into like a shopping center, into a parking spot. And I just started
00:05:31.960 sobbing, called my husband, told him what was going on. And he was like, you need to just like,
00:05:37.900 you need to turn around and you need to come home for a lot of reasons. One, something like this
00:05:42.740 happens. It's kind of like when 9-11 happened and everyone who was in a major city thought,
00:05:47.220 okay, I need to go home. Maybe I need to get out of the major. You just don't know.
00:05:50.700 When something shocking and tragic happens, you're like, is this the first of many?
00:05:54.680 Is this some plot? You have no clue what's going on. Not only that, not only do you feel
00:06:00.200 immediately vulnerable, especially those of us who are in the conservative commentator space
00:06:05.040 and the Christian media space saying the things that are very controversial and that make you a
00:06:10.840 target for these kind of people, you just immediately feel like, okay, I need to not
00:06:16.440 be out in public. I need to be protected. That and I was extremely emotional. I mean, this is
00:06:22.540 the, I don't even know how to describe it. The strangest experience of the death of a person
00:06:31.180 I've ever had. The only person, thank the Lord, in my life who has died has been my grandmother,
00:06:36.760 my grandfather. And of course, I mourned over those. That was very sad, but it wasn't shocking.
00:06:41.140 It wasn't something that was grotesque. It wasn't something that was like, oh my goodness,
00:06:46.220 what does this mean for the world? It was something that is natural and that is expected
00:06:51.100 when you're in old age that your life on earth eventually expires. This was untimely. This was
00:06:57.400 in an evil way. It was in a violent way. It was in a public way. Immediately you're thinking about
00:07:02.700 his wife and kids, what in the world is going on? So overwhelmed with emotion, called my husband,
00:07:09.160 then I called my dad. And my dad, they were out of the country at this point. And so I remember
00:07:15.060 we didn't have very good service and I'm crying and he's like, Allie, calm down, calm down. What's
00:07:20.500 going on? You guys who watch my dad every other Saturday, you know that that's his demeanor. He
00:07:24.560 is the person who is going to try to bring down the emotion and get to the point as quickly as
00:07:29.820 possible. And I just told him, I said, Charlie, Charlie Kirk has been shot. We had just been
00:07:34.540 talking about Charlie the day before we had been talking about some decision that we were making
00:07:39.180 in political media. And, you know, he was like, you should ask Charlie about that. And that's
00:07:44.540 something that my dad did often. Whenever we were talking about something, especially when it involved
00:07:48.820 politics, we all, you know, my husband, my dad, and I all said, you know, we should text Charlie.
00:07:52.620 we should see what Charlie thinks about this. He was that kind of person who so generously gave
00:07:56.800 his wisdom and his help and his mentorship to so many people across the board. Um, and so it was a
00:08:03.360 surreal moment for him too. And he also encouraged me. You just, you need to go home. You need to go
00:08:10.280 home. And so we went home. I remember I texted Andrew Colvett, just saying like praying and,
00:08:18.220 texted our mutual friend just to give me updates because he was getting regular updates on what
00:08:24.020 was going on. At one point, it was thought that he was going to make it for like a very brief
00:08:29.820 point. My husband and I, we were in the closet. We're just sitting on the floor sobbing, praying
00:08:35.760 our hearts out, praying not only for Charlie, but praying for this unimaginable shock and grief that
00:08:41.980 Erica must be going through in this moment. There's been a lot of misinformation and back
00:08:46.500 and forth about whether or not Erica and the kids were there. And if you're still confused about
00:08:50.540 that, they were not there. They did not witness this happening. But of course, still that doesn't
00:08:56.380 change the absolute just devastation that she had to have been carrying in those moments when she
00:09:02.460 got that call. And so thinking about all of these things, there was a small blip of hope that, oh,
00:09:08.500 his heart is beating. Oh, he's breathing. He was able to be resuscitated. He's going to make it,
00:09:14.020 but he was shot in the neck. And then it wasn't, I don't know. I want to say it was maybe 10,
00:09:20.040 15 minutes later that I got a text from a mutual friend saying he's gone. I could not. Some days
00:09:26.940 I still cannot believe it. That's the thing that feels so surreal. It is all of the different
00:09:34.140 things. It's not just that he died. People do die. It's very sad, but that's a result of living
00:09:41.580 in our fallen world. People die in car accidents. People die in plane crashes. People die from
00:09:45.680 cancer. People die from freak accidents and all kinds of things every single day. It was not just
00:09:52.280 that. It was how he died. How in the world could this be possible? And that it wasn't just anyone,
00:09:57.200 but it really was this huge figure in the world of Christian and conservative media,
00:10:04.280 someone that I had talked to many times, someone who had sent me encouragement as he did to
00:10:10.520 hundreds of people on a weekly basis, someone that I had just talked to recently about the
00:10:16.400 state of the world and the woke church and all of these things that he, his life was snuffed out
00:10:22.480 in such a wicked way. And the days and the weeks after that were so incredibly blurry and just
00:10:33.960 overwhelming. I mean, and that's for someone who was like, just knew him as like a professional
00:10:40.880 friend and, you know, who appreciated him. I can't imagine when his friends and his family
00:10:48.860 are looking back over the past year, how all of that feels for them. And then of course there
00:10:53.820 was the memorial, which was filled with just amazing Holy spirit filled moments.
00:10:59.400 There were these really incredible moments of revival, it seems, that we'll get into a little bit today. And I've shared this before and I'll share it again. It's so like my dad, but my dad said, you know, when the emotions all clear from this and when things are able to kind of get back into order and die down, you need to ask yourself, like, what would Charlie say to you in this moment?
00:11:25.560 because I had a lot of fear after Charlie was killed. Um, because I mean, rightfully so as
00:11:32.500 we'll get into the people who cheered on Charlie's death, they're the same people that hate you and
00:11:38.400 me, the same people that hate what I have to say, what you and I believe. And so I remember I had
00:11:45.800 to speak at a pregnancy center just a few days later. And I really thought I was like, I'm going
00:11:50.300 to cancel this. I had that Jubilee debate scheduled for just a couple of weeks later,
00:11:56.000 the day before Charlie's Memorial. I'm like, I'm canceling that. The last place I want to be right
00:11:59.900 now is surrounded by a bunch of liberals, the last place I want to be. And so I just thought about
00:12:05.900 canceling everything. And then when my dad was like, what do you think Charlie would tell someone
00:12:12.600 in this situation to do? And I'm like, okay, I know. And of course, that's not the primary
00:12:17.280 question that anyone, and certainly not I, like I'm asking when I'm making a decision. You have to
00:12:23.180 follow the conviction of the Holy Spirit, the word of God. If you're a woman, a wife,
00:12:27.700 the leadership of your husband, all of that comes first. But it is a clarifying question because
00:12:33.400 Charlie lived and died through courage. And that's what he was always trying to fill everyone with,
00:12:39.640 was clarity and courage. And I'm so glad that my husband and I made the decision for us to go to
00:12:46.080 those responsibilities, those obligations that we had. One, because people that I talked to,
00:12:52.460 like when I went to Reno, Nevada, that first speaking engagement after Charlie died to speak
00:12:56.540 at a pregnancy center fundraiser, those people needed encouragement. I wasn't even connected
00:13:02.600 to him. And yet when I walked in the room, everyone was crying. It just felt so heavy.
00:13:06.800 And we needed to be reminded that God's eternal plan of redemption is going off without a hitch.
00:13:10.720 That was healing for me. Gosh, I'm so thankful that I did the Jubilee debate. The first thing
00:13:16.340 that one of my opponents said when he sat down was, I'm so sorry about your friend, Charlie.
00:13:22.520 And that changed everything. And that debate, thankfully, by the grace of God has been able
00:13:27.940 to give people courage and clarity. And so sometimes you really, really, the only thing
00:13:33.860 you can do is the next right thing in faith with excellence and for the glory of God.
00:13:38.440 And yeah, that tragic moment that we all went through last year, I think, was clarifying
00:13:45.000 not only for those of us who knew him and certainly for those closest to him, but also
00:13:51.020 for everyone who admired him.
00:13:53.720 Now, I want to get into some evil things, some darkness when it comes to those who are
00:14:03.240 currently, not just last year, but currently celebrating the brutal murder, the assassination,
00:14:09.500 what I believe is the martyrdom of Charlie Kirk. Now, why do I want to talk about this? Because I
00:14:14.600 know it's disturbing. It's not just because I want to wallow in it. It's not just because I want to
00:14:19.420 point fingers and say, they're bad, we're good. But I just want to remind you that an enemy exists.
00:14:25.140 Yes, it's ultimately spiritual. Yes, Ephesians 6 says we don't fight against flesh and blood,
00:14:30.720 but there are worldly manifestations of that spiritual battle that we as Christians have to
00:14:37.900 realize and face. Because there's been a lot of talk over the past few months that the left and
00:14:43.200 the right have been brought together after Charlie Kirk died because they really want to see
00:14:48.140 what really happened. We really want to investigate. And our questions about Israel
00:14:55.240 and their responsibility and Charlie's death, that's bringing the left and the right together.
00:14:59.600 we're done with the left and right paradigm. Dream on. That is so far from reality. That is
00:15:07.320 a load. I can't even say what it is. I can't even say what it is appropriately. It's a lie.
00:15:13.520 It's deception. I will say that. It's absolutely not true. So let me show you some of that and why
00:15:19.600 I actually think you should be encouraged by the darkness and the evil that we see
00:15:24.420 in those who are opposing Charlie in just a second. I got to pause. I want to remind you
00:15:29.000 that if you want clarity and you want courage, that is why also Share the Arrows exists. It is
00:15:35.120 a women's conference that happens every year, Dallas, Texas, October 10th. And I am so excited
00:15:44.220 about this year and just to be together with you guys every year. It's like, gosh, I need that. I
00:15:49.080 want to be around like-minded women. I want to be poured into with solid teaching, with the word of
00:15:54.460 God. And I want to worship alongside you. How often do you get to worship alongside
00:16:00.760 6,000 to 7,000 like-minded Christian women just like crying out to God and being willing to be
00:16:08.640 challenged by his word? That's what Share the Arrows is all about. We've got Rosaria Butterfield.
00:16:13.460 We've got Kosti Hinn. We've got Elisa Childers and Natasha Crane. We've got Gracie of the
00:16:17.240 Castleberry. We've got Audrey Brogy. We've got Shane and Shane leading worship. Of course,
00:16:21.060 yours truly will be there. I will be 37 weeks pregnant. And so I'll be very pregnant. I don't
00:16:26.120 think I'm going to give birth on stage, but that could also just be a fun component of the whole
00:16:29.840 day. Um, and so if you have not bought your tickets yet, go to share the arrows.com. You
00:16:34.840 can use code Allie 20. You'll get 20% off your ticket. Share the arrows.com. So excited to see
00:16:40.260 you there. It's brought to you by our friends at range leather this year, share the arrows.com.
00:16:44.760 And before we get back into it, I also just want to tell you about our first sponsor for the day.
00:16:49.860 and our first sponsor is Adele Natural Cosmetics. They will also be at Share the Arrows. They're
00:16:54.540 awesome. I love them. I use their products every day. Just this morning, I used their moisturizing
00:16:59.320 serum to start out the day. I like to start off the day moisturized, and so Adele helps me do that
00:17:04.700 no matter what product I'm using. I've been using even more than usual their moisturizing bronzing
00:17:10.580 stick. It just, I think, works better and stays longer than your typical powder bronzer, and what
00:17:16.480 I love about them. There's a lot of things, but all of their products are completely holistic,
00:17:20.560 made with only natural ingredients. So ingredients from God's creation, not synthetic,
00:17:27.620 no fake fragrances, no endocrine disruptors. And so you can trust that it's all handmade
00:17:32.140 in Texas by this family. Arlene and her family are the real deal, unapologetically pro-life
00:17:37.740 Christian. They're amazing. Go to adelnaturalcosmetics.com. Use code Allie for 25%
00:17:43.420 off your first purchase, adelnaturalcosmetics.com, code Allie. All right, so let's get into some of
00:17:56.000 this darkness. We unfortunately, very sadly, evilly, we have people who are on the left. I
00:18:02.920 think it's completely fair to categorize them as that, progressives. Maybe there are some haters
00:18:08.340 in the middle and on the right too but these people seem to be on the radical left celebrating
00:18:13.640 charlie kirk's murder on tiktok using the term kirkiversary sat one as we get closer and closer
00:18:20.480 to the kirkiversary i just want to remind some of you that like if you were not laughing along with
00:18:25.460 us the day the hour the minute that it happened you don't get to join in the festivities like me
00:18:30.720 personally i'll be throwing a barbecue and i can get you a plate but i have to see your repost from 0.50
00:18:35.860 that day first if you were reposting like damn he accidentally went to a pvp lobby with big head
00:18:41.020 mode enabled then i will get you some food but if you were reposting like it's such a tragedy like 0.76
00:18:46.100 something like this can happen in our great nation you have to leave you have to go home i'm sorry
00:18:50.000 you are not invited okay i wish i could say oh that was just one person it was really hard to
00:18:56.000 dig around if no there are thousands of these videos and we can't play all of them because
00:19:01.260 it's really depressing. But that is just one example of this trend that is going on. And
00:19:07.460 the thing about social media, you're always trying to one-up and dig deeper than the person before
00:19:12.040 you. You want to be even more shocking than the last person who posted. And you have to have
00:19:16.660 a lot of darkness and callousness in your heart for that. I mean, we're all going to stand before
00:19:22.160 God and give an account for every word that we said. And I think that's really the big problem
00:19:27.700 is that there is so little fear of God.
00:19:29.860 That's just, I guess, a random TikToker,
00:19:32.120 although it did have a lot of engagement.
00:19:33.820 But then we have a very prominent commentator on the left.
00:19:36.560 His name is Hassan Piker.
00:19:38.500 And he was recently at an event
00:19:40.320 where he started leading the crowd singing the song,
00:19:42.840 which was actually written in memorial for Charlie
00:19:45.380 after he was murdered.
00:19:48.400 He was leading people in a mocking version of this song,
00:19:53.620 We Are Charlie Kirk, too.
00:19:57.700 We are Charlie Kerr
00:20:03.780 We carry the flame
00:20:08.580 We'll fight for the gospel
00:20:12.120 We'll honor his name
00:20:16.200 We are Charlie Kerr
00:20:20.040 His courage are alive
00:20:23.120 Together unbroken
00:20:26.460 All right. So Hassan Piker is very mainstream. Like there are some people on the left who want
00:20:33.900 to tell you that he's not mainstream. He is a very mainstream. He has been positively profiled
00:20:38.040 by almost every major outlet on the left. He has been positively interviewed by many
00:20:42.700 mainstream liberal commentators, journalists. He regularly stumps for politicians,
00:20:52.020 uh democrat politicians and so he does have radical views but the democrat party is radical
00:20:57.860 okay he's not like an aberration he is just a part of the democrats and there he is mocking
00:21:04.120 this person who had been his sparring partner on several occasions there's a lot of videos on
00:21:08.560 social media of uh charlie and him going back and forth and charlie was always respectful not uh
00:21:15.000 not worked up of course he gets worked up about the subject matter because charlie was genuinely
00:21:19.060 be passionate about socialism versus capitalism, freedom versus tyranny. Um, but he was, he was
00:21:24.840 always nice. And actually there's one clip and I only now thought of it. And so we don't have it
00:21:29.800 in front of us, but they look to be, uh, gosh, it was probably, uh, is it Politicon where you have
00:21:37.080 people from the left and the right, you go on stage and you have these debates and panels and
00:21:40.800 things like that. And it looked like it was that kind of event. And Hassan is standing there. He's
00:21:47.040 being interviewed on camera charlie kurt kind of comes up to him like bumps his shoulder and was
00:21:52.520 like hey i need all the proceeds from the videos that you make about me and kind of laughed and
00:21:57.400 then gave him like a really friendly handshake and went on and by the way that's called mogging
00:22:03.360 like you just confidence mocked him because hassan piker would just stood there like dumbfounded not
00:22:10.440 knowing how to handle someone who was confident and respectful and that's just like who charlie
00:22:15.140 was. He was just unafraid, but he also treated his opponents, even those who hated him with so
00:22:21.060 much humanity, even all of these people that we see mocking him, like he would have treated them
00:22:28.100 with respect when debating them and when talking to them. And Hassan Piker just doesn't have,
00:22:33.580 he doesn't contain that compassion or humanity because Charlie had Christ and Hassan Piker is
00:22:38.940 very lost. You'll remember last year, there were indeed a lot of people mocking this and mocking
00:22:46.160 his death. Thought three. I'm not saying she deserved it, but I'm saying God's timing is
00:22:59.260 always right so we had we also had a no kings protest october 2025 you had several people
00:23:14.640 protesting there i mean just awful stuff with signs and t-shirts saying that he had it coming
00:23:20.880 that it was justified, mocking it, laughing about it. Now, where does the encouragement
00:23:28.800 come in here? Let me back up a little bit and just tell you about who Charlie was
00:23:34.820 in light of all of this evil. A couple of years ago, the Atlantic wrote a profile about me and
00:23:41.740 and you'll remember me talking about this if you watch the memorial episode from last year.
00:23:47.140 and I've talked about it a couple of times in speeches, but the Atlantic wrote this article
00:23:51.860 about me after interviewing me and it had some positive descriptions, some neutral descriptions,
00:23:56.380 but it also took some jabs. It is the Atlantic and the reception from the Atlantic's audience
00:24:02.200 wasn't kind. And so I remember, uh, we were like on vacation at this point and I was just
00:24:08.380 nervous about it. I was feeling anxious about it because what should have felt like this big
00:24:12.040 accomplishment, this mainstream profile actually just kind of made me feel like it made me feel
00:24:18.980 worried. I was fearful at the time. I didn't like having all of this negative attention on me at
00:24:23.920 once. And then out of nowhere, I got this text from Charlie with a link to the article and it
00:24:30.340 said, huge honor. Well done. Keep slugging. And, um, you know, there's been so many times over
00:24:37.700 the past year where you guys have seen me or we've met in person and you've said that and you've just
00:24:43.760 said, keep slugging. And I just want you to know it's meant a lot to me when you give me that
00:24:47.800 specific encouragement, because I think about that a lot. And, uh, I think about just like
00:24:53.260 what an encourager he was to so many people, people who didn't have anything to give him in
00:24:58.360 exchange. He had all the power. He had all the connections in the world. And yet he would send
00:25:04.620 to hundreds of people. I'm certainly not special. Encouragement, Bible verses, links, ask questions
00:25:11.580 to them, getting their insight on different things, even though he was such a smart guy and
00:25:17.220 probably didn't need any of our insight. And so when I think about that question that my dad asked
00:25:23.700 right after Charlie died, what would Charlie say to do in this situation? I know what he would say,
00:25:29.640 not just to me, but to all of us, keep slugging, keep going. He would say, don't stop. Don't allow
00:25:35.880 the evil in this world to make you slow down or to back down even for a second. Our last exchange
00:25:42.860 was him giving me advice for Jubilee for that debate. He was so excited. He was like, let's
00:25:52.140 all get on a phone call and let's talk about this. Let's go through some of your claims and
00:25:58.760 let's try to do a mock debate. I'm so excited for you. I'm praying for you. That's just who
00:26:05.640 he was. That's just who he was. So knowing that that was the last back and forth that we had,
00:26:12.000 that was also another reason why I knew that I couldn't cancel that Jubilee debate. And I really
00:26:17.400 felt the Holy Spirit, but a spirit of courage with me that day to be able to speak with as
00:26:23.620 much clarity as I could. Um, so no matter what people say, especially his enemies say about
00:26:30.960 Charlie, like that's actually who he was. He was not only a compassionate person to those who hated
00:26:36.720 him, but to his friends, to like professional friends, to acquaintances, he was an encourager.
00:26:42.860 He gave a lot of himself to people. And I don't want to further highlight the,
00:26:49.620 the vitriol that he receives, but I just want to remind you of this, that Charlie would not care
00:26:56.900 one bit about what those people think. He wouldn't care at all. He was extremely aware of the
00:27:02.660 existence of evil and of spiritual warfare. Demons right now and over the past year,
00:27:08.280 they've been rejoicing. Satan has been glad that he took an effective soldier out of the fight and
00:27:13.800 everyone who follows Satan feels the same way. And what I would say to that is what an incredible
00:27:18.760 honor. What an honor. May we all, when we die, make the demons rejoice. May we all be so courageous
00:27:25.860 and so bold and so effective and so faithful and so obedient to the Lord and so relentless in the
00:27:32.060 pursuit of his glory that when we die, all of God's enemies cheer. May they lament every breath
00:27:38.120 we take. May they be enraged every morning that our feet hit the floor. May they wince at every
00:27:44.220 word we say, we've seen God use Charlie's life and that tragic moment to unite people and to
00:27:52.380 bring them to truth. And so if the enemy's goal was to scare people into silence, I think he
00:27:58.400 failed. And that's what happens when you make a martyr, you embolden everyone who believes like
00:28:03.740 they do. And so Charlie and the truth that he represented, I believe even through the division
00:28:09.600 that we'll talk about in a second, it will spread further and wider than it ever has before.
00:28:13.820 not just because of Charlie, but because why God's eternal plan of redemption is going off
00:28:19.140 without a hitch. I think that even in the midst of so much of what we're going through right now,
00:28:26.460 that so many of Charlie's ideas have been immortalized and that there have been people
00:28:30.860 who have been raised who are even bolder and more relentless than him. And I just don't want you to
00:28:36.160 forget that Charlie Kirk was murdered for believing the same things that you do. He was not a radical
00:28:42.320 in any way. He was not hateful. He was not a flamethrower. He believed in and leveraged
00:28:46.760 the free exchange of ideas to try to persuade people of biblical truth. That's it. And there's
00:28:52.500 this quote that says, the further a society drifts from truth, the more they hate the people who say
00:28:57.100 it, which is kind of a reiteration of John 15, 18, when Jesus says this, if the world hates you,
00:29:06.240 know that it has hated me before it hated you. Not saying that those two quotes are exactly the
00:29:10.900 same thing. But we also get a warning specifically from Jesus to Christians that, hey, I am truth.
00:29:17.140 I am the word. I am life. And as people hate me, they will also hate you because you represent me.
00:29:24.400 Now, Charlie, now I just want to remind you of this because it's so easy to get so down about
00:29:29.520 this, that he is with his greatest love and passion, which is Jesus. He is with the fellow
00:29:34.620 saints and the martyrs and the persecuted by which the church has been advanced for millennia.
00:29:38.620 and I am so happy for him, but I'm so sad for us. I am so sad for Erica. I am so sad for his
00:29:47.140 two little children who are going to grow up without a dad. We know that having gained an
00:29:51.840 incredible courageous person, but we have lost, his family has lost a huge presence here on earth
00:29:57.960 that I don't think can ever really be replaced. And so especially this week, as you're thinking
00:30:05.360 about all of this. I want your prayers to be occupied by pleas for Erica, that she continues
00:30:15.700 to feel the weight and the freshness of his death in ways that we cannot possibly imagine.
00:30:23.520 Pray for his children as they're going through this in a different way and also a way that we
00:30:28.200 can't understand, but just pray for their courage as the trial, um, starts to get a kick up or as
00:30:36.920 they are continuing the process. We'll get into the updates on that in just a second,
00:30:41.340 as they're having to relive this in so many ways. Um, there is reason to have hope, not just in the
00:30:48.060 Lord, of course, but also for our nation and for justice to be done here. And we'll get into that
00:30:52.920 in just a second. Let me pause. Let me tell you about our next sponsor and that is good ranchers.
00:30:58.200 You might not know, but actually in an effort to lower beef prices, 300,000 metric tons of
00:31:04.560 foreign ground beef are about to flood the US market without the normal tariff. And when that
00:31:10.720 beef reaches grocery store levels, you will have no way of knowing that it came from another
00:31:15.180 country. So you might think that you're buying this healthy grass fed meat, but you don't know
00:31:19.680 what the standards are in the place that it's coming from. And so I encourage you not to get
00:31:24.680 from the grocery store, but to get it from good ranchers, because that's the only way to really
00:31:29.140 know that it's coming from an American farm or ranch, whether you're talking about chicken or
00:31:33.460 whether you're talking about steak, ground beef, seafood, all of that good stuff, bacon, it all
00:31:38.480 comes from an American farmer ranch. When you get it shipped right to your front door from good
00:31:43.060 ranchers, this is a great way to support this American industry to actually put America first,
00:31:48.180 not just in how we vote, but also in how we spend money. This is a Christian family owned company
00:31:53.400 that I love supporting and we have been using them for five plus years. Go to goodranchers.com
00:31:58.820 slash Allie for your free four pound ground beef bundle. The ground beef is what we use
00:32:04.860 the most. So highly recommend goodranchers.com slash Allie. So we weren't able to fully cover
00:32:15.940 this last week because this happened after we recorded last Wednesday's episode, but on Tuesday,
00:32:22.700 September 1st, Judge Tony Graff ruled that prosecutors had presented enough evidence for
00:32:27.260 Tyler Robinson to stand trial on all of the seven charges against him, including aggravated murder.
00:32:33.580 So meaning that the death penalty remains a possibility. And that is a very good thing.
00:32:39.580 That means we still have the possibility of justice. This has been a pre-trial procedure.
00:32:45.380 You'll remember a few months ago, they went through the pre-trial where the defense and
00:32:49.140 the prosecution, they kind of presented their case, presented their evidence, and the prosecution
00:32:54.220 did a good enough job to present. There is a good reason to believe that this guy did it. So we need
00:32:59.000 to go forward with the trial. We don't actually know exactly when the real trial is going to take
00:33:04.840 place. Obviously, I think that I would assume that Erica and her family want it to happen as quickly
00:33:10.560 as possible to have this dragged out. I mean, justice delayed feels like justice denied. And so
00:33:15.960 you want swift justice. I also think that's the precedent that is set for us in scripture
00:33:19.780 by the God who created justice. Anyone, by the way, who has issues with the death penalty,
00:33:25.660 I've talked about the death penalty many times. There are people, Christian, non-Christian alike, 0.88
00:33:30.240 conservative, liberal, who are against the death penalty. You can be, of course,
00:33:36.460 of any position that you want to be. You have the freedom to think and feel and say the way
00:33:40.500 that you do, but you being against the death penalty per se. So the death penalty in principle
00:33:47.640 is to say that you know better than God. I don't know about you. I'm not willing to do that. Genesis
00:33:52.860 nine, six. Okay. So this is pre Israel. It's not discounted just because it's the old Testament.
00:33:58.260 We don't say goodbye to the old Testament just because all of that happened before the incarnation
00:34:04.120 of Christ. This was not just a specific dictate to Israel. This was not the Mosaic covenant. This
00:34:11.880 was the Noahic covenant. So this happened before the establishment of the nation of Israel when he 0.93
00:34:16.780 said to Noah that you, I'm paraphrasing here, execution is the only just punishment for murder.
00:34:24.300 And what is the reason that God gives in Genesis 9, 6? Because man is made in God's image. So we've
00:34:30.900 talked about this before. Whenever there is a reason, Older New Testament that goes all the
00:34:35.320 way back to creation, that tells me that that reasoning still exists today because that doesn't
00:34:41.380 change. He doesn't say because this thing is happening in culture, because the people are
00:34:45.080 like this right now, because of this world event that's going on right now, this has to be the
00:34:50.300 punishment for a murder. He goes all the way back to something that is still true today that man is
00:34:54.940 made in God's image. And it is because of his incredible love for people, the incredible innate
00:35:01.200 dignity that people have being specially made in God's image, that execution is the only
00:35:07.220 proportionate punishment for intentionally killing someone, for murdering an innocent person. That's
00:35:12.980 how grievous that crime is to the Lord. And so, no, I don't buy into all of this. Well, no,
00:35:19.460 they should just rot in prison. That's an even better punishment. I don't care about what we 1.00
00:35:24.200 think is better or what we think is worse. I care about the God who created justice and who created
00:35:28.700 us as his image bearers thinks about what is right and what is wrong. You could actually argue that
00:35:33.580 it is merciful in a way that God is a God of mercy by saying, okay, we're just going to snuff 0.75
00:35:38.980 your life out. That it's not even that God is dictating that you have to kill the person in 0.66
00:35:44.140 the same way that that person executed or murdered their victim. It's just your life is going to be
00:35:50.020 snuffed out. I do absolutely think that that is if he is proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt
00:35:56.240 that that is the just punishment for Tyler Robinson, just like I think that that is the
00:36:00.660 just punishment for any person, Lindsey Clancy, whoever, that it is proved in a court of law
00:36:08.000 that they murdered an innocent person beyond a reasonable doubt. The death penalty should not
00:36:14.500 only be on the table, but it should happen very quickly. There's no reason for taxpayers to fund
00:36:21.040 their life and three meals a day in prison for years and years and years. Okay. They should be
00:36:26.860 executed very quickly after proven guilty. Um, now after graph ordered Robinson to stand trial 0.99
00:36:33.700 on all seven counts, Robinson pleaded not guilty to all of them. Prosecutors have said that they
00:36:39.120 will seek the death penalty. Robinson's attorney asked judge graph to throw out the aggravated
00:36:43.940 murder charge, arguing that the evidence did not show that Robinson knowingly created a great risk
00:36:49.040 of death to other people when he allegedly shot Charlie. So as we explained several months ago now
00:36:55.680 or a few months ago now, that is what that aggravated murder charge means, that you also
00:37:01.220 were knowingly endangering all of these other people. Okay. He shot Charlie from a roof over
00:37:07.340 a crab. Like you did knowingly create a great risk of death to other people. Of course,
00:37:13.740 Prosecutors argued that firing into a crowd was like ballistic roulette.
00:37:17.340 Of course, that's true.
00:37:18.380 And gambling with innocent lives when he made that shot.
00:37:21.500 Of course, he did.
00:37:22.400 Of course, he did.
00:37:23.200 And so the defense didn't really have a good case to make there.
00:37:26.040 And Judge Graff, to his credit, knew that.
00:37:28.000 Now, just a little bit on the prosecution versus defense on whether Charlie was politically
00:37:33.200 targeted, because that's also something that's on the table here.
00:37:36.500 Prosecutors argue that Charlie's beliefs about traditional family values and I would
00:37:41.720 biblical family values and stance against same-sex marriage, so-called marriage, and
00:37:46.840 transgenderism in public life made him a political target for Robinson. He supported that argument,
00:37:52.880 the prosecution, with a text that Robinson allegedly sent to his trans-identifying boyfriend.
00:37:59.020 He said he's had enough of Charlie's hatred. Now, the defense says, yeah, it is true that 0.99
00:38:06.600 Charlie did believe these things and it was hateful. Stop four. It is
00:38:11.460 true that Mr. Kirk spoke hatefully of certain groups of people. He spoke hatefully
00:38:22.720 of people who don't have traditional norm-conforming gender identities. He spoke
00:38:31.980 hatefully of people who are not strictly heterosexual. We don't know. There's a gap
00:38:37.920 between what it is that Mr. Kirk said and stood for, the phrase in the statute is political
00:38:46.260 expression, and what it is that Mr. Robinson felt about him. Okay. See, that to me is just
00:38:54.240 basically just, it's almost a justification of what his client did. I'm sure that that's not
00:38:59.320 what he's intending to do necessarily, but that's what it sounds like. It's not even that you're
00:39:05.440 defending your client's innocence. It sounds like you're defending his guilt and saying that it was
00:39:09.840 okay because he did speak hatefully. I know he didn't say the words he brought this on himself,
00:39:15.980 but it sounds like it. And look, I know that we can say Charlie wasn't hateful. He wasn't hateful.
00:39:21.940 Let's just move past that. The world is going to call truth hate. Okay. Remember the story of
00:39:27.160 Stephen. How was he described? He was described as full of grace and power, full of grace and
00:39:33.300 power. Any of us wouldn't want to be described as full of grace, right? And what did he do?
00:39:38.060 He shared the gospel to the Jewish audience in front of him. He went through, okay, this Jesus 0.83
00:39:43.720 is the Messiah. He fulfilled these prophecies. This is the truth about him. You have to believe
00:39:48.660 him for salvation. Of course, paraphrasing here, he was much more eloquent than that.
00:39:52.600 and he was stoned to death. They were so angry. They were so incensed by this man who was full
00:39:58.160 of grace and full of power and what he was articulating, articulating something out of
00:40:02.660 a place of love that brothers, the Messiah has come for your salvation. He loves you so much.
00:40:07.980 He died for you, laid out the gospel. Did they say, well, that's something to consider.
00:40:13.360 That's interesting. Wow. Thank you so much for sharing this good news with us. They were so
00:40:18.940 angry by what he was saying now. He didn't personally attack them. He didn't make fun of
00:40:24.880 them. He didn't mock them. He didn't say anything hateful at all. But the truth made them so angry
00:40:31.060 that they picked up stones and they stoned him to death. Of course, Jesus, full of grace and truth,
00:40:38.080 that's how he's described, full of grace and truth. He healed the sick. He fed the hungry.
00:40:45.640 He helped the poor. He even tried to help out by reasoning with, by telling the truth to the
00:40:53.520 religious leaders at the time. And how was he treated? Give us Barabbas. The mob wanted
00:41:02.200 the authorities to hand over this brutal thief, and they wanted to sacrifice this healer,
00:41:09.180 this good news teller. So I don't, I don't even want to argue. No, it's not hate. It's not,
00:41:16.640 it's not hate. It is hate to the world and that's not going to change. Okay.
00:41:23.540 When we read Romans one, when we read in Ephesians that their foolish hearts were darkened
00:41:29.860 and we all once were in that, by the way, we were all once deluded by sin. There's no, there's,
00:41:36.540 no point in saying, no, that wasn't hate. All you have to do is to continue to relentlessly,
00:41:43.240 but compassionately and without compromise, tell the truth and pray for the Holy Spirit to do his
00:41:48.600 work. There's no reason to even argue about that because the truth of God is hateful to the world
00:41:55.440 and that's not going to change. Now, the prosecution did try to counter this argument
00:42:02.160 and to say, no, that's an inaccurate characterization of Charlie.
00:42:06.420 Here is how Charlie actually spoke toward people that he disagreed with,
00:42:10.660 especially when it came to transgenderism.
00:42:12.600 I just want to say I'm a transgender male.
00:42:16.480 What age should kids be able to get things like hormone therapy? 0.81
00:42:20.320 Because I don't know what's true, what's not.
00:42:22.540 Tell me, are you comfortable telling me your story?
00:42:24.560 I've known that since like third grade and I'm currently 19, almost 20.
00:42:30.660 I have known basically since then I didn't start going by like a different name until
00:42:35.800 seventh and eighth grade. I just don't know like with the med like the whole medical stuff like
00:42:42.340 what's true what's not what's helpful because I've heard so many different opinions. First of all
00:42:46.240 thank you so much for that. Yeah of course. So I'm gonna have an opinion that very few people
00:42:51.260 will ever tell you which is I want you to be very cautious putting drugs into your system
00:42:56.040 in the pursuit of changing your body.
00:42:59.520 I instead encourage you to work on
00:43:02.640 what's going on in your brain first.
00:43:04.200 I think what you need first and foremost
00:43:05.760 is just a diagnosis.
00:43:07.520 Just someone that is going to listen
00:43:09.080 to what you've gone through,
00:43:10.760 listen to what else is going on.
00:43:12.520 My prayer for you,
00:43:13.960 and again, very few people will say this,
00:43:16.060 I actually want to see you be comfortable
00:43:18.060 in how you were born.
00:43:19.380 I know that you might not feel that way,
00:43:21.360 but I think that is something that you can achieve.
00:43:23.260 I think that with the right team and the right people, you don't have to wage war on your body.
00:43:28.980 You can learn to love your body.
00:43:30.900 So I actually hadn't seen that clip before.
00:43:33.040 And I said earlier that the prosecution played that.
00:43:34.980 That's not the prosecution didn't play that.
00:43:37.140 That was Blake Knaff.
00:43:38.300 He shared that on X as an example of, no, this is how Charlie treated people who disagreed
00:43:43.560 with him.
00:43:43.780 And there's so many other examples of Charlie doing exactly that, being totally uncompromising
00:43:49.780 in the truth, but with compassion. And you'll hear me say that a lot when I talk about debates,
00:43:56.060 when I talked about that Jubilee debate, people always ask me like, what are your debate tips?
00:44:00.620 And not that I was anywhere the level of Charlie, but within my realm, I do like to spar on theology
00:44:08.120 and things like that. And what I say is you have to love the person across from you. You have to
00:44:13.320 love them because if you love them, then you'll be gentle with them, but you won't compromise
00:44:17.540 because you care about who is in front of you, but you also care about who they could be.
00:44:22.540 You care about their soul. You care about their heart. You don't want them to be deceived. You
00:44:25.920 have to love them more than you care about not feeling awkward and being liked by other people.
00:44:31.960 And you saw that over and over again with Charlie. That's the truth.
00:44:36.220 After an hour-long recess, Judge Graff came back with his ruling that the case would move forward
00:44:41.400 to trial, set a pre-trial conference for October 23rd. And here is what Erica shared later that
00:44:48.020 evening statement on behalf of the Kirk family. Today's decision, which comes nearly a year since
00:44:52.640 Charlie was taken from us marks an important step in our family's pursuit of justice for him.
00:44:57.320 Every step in this process carries the weight of all that Charlie's murder has taken
00:45:01.320 from his family, especially his children who will grow up without their father.
00:45:05.160 We are grateful to all who have continued to pray for us, support us, and stand with us through a
00:45:09.740 year of unimaginable grief. As the next phase of the judicial process begins, our family remains
00:45:15.260 united in our love for Charlie, our commitment to the pursuit of justice, and our prayer for
00:45:19.700 a transparent and timely process. And we should all be praying for that too. All right, let me

00:46:40.880 it seemed like, in interest and not just religion in general, in faith, that's how the media covered
00:46:47.160 it, but specifically in Christianity and in reading the Bible. And there were all these
00:46:51.800 incredible tributes to Charlie right after he died on college campuses. I just want to play
00:46:56.200 you that, to remind you of what that was like, SOT 7.
00:47:14.520 Pilot paid his own tribute to Kirk this morning around 6.30 a.m.
00:47:18.720 A flight tracking software shows the pilot flew in this pattern near Phoenix, creating
00:47:23.720 across with a c and a k love anywhere you want to send it in the world there are so many places that
00:47:30.320 might need it today so here it comes from london you can send this to your brother or your sister
00:47:35.160 you can send it to the families of people who've been going through terrible stuff you can send
00:47:39.120 it to charlie kirk's family you can send it to anybody's family
00:47:41.740 those last two things one of them was a cold play concert and cold play said that you can
00:47:55.740 send it to charlie kirk's family which i just thought was really sweet and really meaningful
00:47:59.520 not something that you typically see and then the last one i think was at a cubs game or it was
00:48:04.820 definitely at an mlb game where they played gosh gets me choked up that video you guys have probably
00:48:10.960 seen it where I can hardly talk about it when Charlie is on a set for Fox and Friends and his
00:48:16.480 daughter runs up and gives him a hug. And, um, yeah. So there were a lot of tributes that were
00:48:22.520 played and people heard about Charlie, saw his videos and heard about the message that he
00:48:28.020 conveyed. Um, people that probably would have never heard about it, people all over the world.
00:48:33.440 There were some statistics too, that were so exciting at the time. You'll remember that sales
00:48:37.920 surged during September of 2025, 2.4 million copies sold. That's a 36% increase from the
00:48:45.240 same month of the previous year, Wall Street Journal. I mean, that's not just coincidence.
00:48:50.500 That is clearly because of the impact that Charlie had. And if he had not been unashamed
00:48:54.820 in sharing the gospel so publicly, that wouldn't have happened. People who think, oh, he just
00:49:00.760 talked about politics. He was just a controversial flamethrower. The reason why Bible sales went up
00:49:05.860 is because Charlie talked about the Bible all the time. My husband and I went to the memorial
00:49:10.900 and we can play a voiceover of that. Frank Turek spoke there, J.D. Vance, Marco Rubio,
00:49:18.720 lots of people spoke and just the gospel was laid out so clearly by so many speakers,
00:49:23.980 just so many incredible moments. I'll never be able to listen to the song Hard Fought,
00:49:29.440 Hallelujah, without thinking of the memorial. My husband and I both tear up
00:49:34.100 when we hear that song, because it reminds us of that. And just this moment that was completely
00:49:40.220 unscripted by the praise band as they were singing. And you turn around, it was just like
00:49:46.020 a musical break. And none of the artists were singing. They were just playing music.
00:49:51.300 And they just kept going. And you turned around and everyone raised up their signs of Charlie
00:49:56.780 that said, here I am, send me. And it was just such an incredible, like Holy Spirit-empowered
00:50:03.700 moment. It really was. There were rumors at the time that that was AI. No, it wasn't. I was there.
00:50:11.660 It was real. It was palpable. It was an incredible moment. Now, unfortunately, that unity that we
00:50:17.720 felt that day and right after, it really dissipated. This has been the most fractured
00:50:25.560 year for the conservative movement in my adult life. I can't say ever because I haven't been
00:50:32.120 around that long. Um, and there has been some very real, what I believe demonic opposition,
00:50:37.780 uh, to that there has been, I think some of the cruelest mockery of a widow publicly that I've
00:50:46.300 ever, ever seen. Erica has been a target of slander innuendos, um, for a year, for a year
00:50:53.120 now for months, people criticize the way she grieved, what she wore, the way she laughed,
00:50:58.640 the way that she smiled, the way that she presented herself in public. And I don't think
00:51:03.060 any of us really know what it is like to be in the position that she is in, that, okay,
00:51:08.200 you just lost your husband in a very public and gruesome way. You were inevitably seeing these
00:51:13.300 horrifically giddy reactions online, which you expected because your husband fought progressives
00:51:18.680 his entire adult life. But then you are met with this task, this responsibility of leading this
00:51:28.020 gargantuan movement and, or the organization on college campuses, because that was your husband's
00:51:35.720 life work. You're not just going to let it drop. And you know, more than anybody, the goals that
00:51:40.520 he had, what he wanted out of it, what he was trying to accomplish. And so you feel responsible
00:51:45.520 for that. You're publicly grieving while you're privately grieving. You're trying to project
00:51:51.140 strength and confidence as you continue to move forward. But you are also at the same time wanting
00:51:57.380 to show people, yes, but I'm sad. I'm mourning this. This is difficult. I don't think there are
00:52:02.940 very many people in the world who can balance all of those different roles and emotions and
00:52:08.440 responsibilities publicly. Most people can't do that privately, but to have the platform that she
00:52:14.160 was kind of thrust into and to be able to navigate all of that gracefully and also give glory to God
00:52:20.620 like, and also try to honor like what Charlie wanted. Like he loved the, like the, um, the big
00:52:27.900 events with all of the like fireworks and all of the lights and everything, but also wanting it to
00:52:33.920 be somber. Like, I don't think any of us understand the complexity of the weight that she has been
00:52:40.040 carrying and the responsibilities that she has had. And it seems like so few people are willing
00:52:45.960 to give her the benefit of the doubt or willing to say, yeah, you know what? That's a really hard
00:52:51.200 leadership position. And she's also a grieving widow and a mother. There have been people who
00:52:57.220 have suggested that she is at least in part responsible, that there have been conspiracy
00:53:02.920 theories about her involvement with zero evidence, only vibes. And all of the theories that have been
00:53:09.820 pursued about Erica's involvement have completely failed. And yet she is being dragged through this,
00:53:16.880 the subject of all kinds of threats and stalking because of this. I just find that to be really sad.
00:53:21.720 And also just the way that Satan works. It's just how he works. He is the accuser. He steals,
00:53:27.740 he kills, he destroys. And so of course, do you think that he was going to allow a revival to
00:53:33.000 go unchecked? No. Now, is Satan more powerful than God? Absolutely not. God's eternal plan
00:53:38.560 of redemption. It's going off without a hitch. But it is also true that there is spiritual warfare
00:53:44.740 and it's called warfare for a reason. And Ephesians 2 describes Satan as the prince of
00:53:50.160 the power of the air. So it doesn't surprise me that there's a lot of ugliness that's going on
00:53:55.260 in the wake of Charlie's death. And we've also seen a lot of disagreements that I think he kept
00:54:00.720 at bay. We can talk about how that strategy actually eventually worked out, keeping the
00:54:07.180 crazies at bay by trying to keep the right together. It's like, well, maybe some of those
00:54:11.380 voices should have just been like, no. Um, but now we see, for example, like the soft peddling of
00:54:17.420 Islam by people like Tucker Carlson, what I just don't believe that those prominent voices who
00:54:22.900 were friends with Charlie would have been soft peddling Islam while he was alive because Charlie 0.67
00:54:27.900 was so incredibly clear that Islam was I'm paraphrasing. I think this might be the exact 0.98
00:54:35.020 quote, was the knife that the left uses to slit the throat of the West. Like that was Charlie's,
00:54:41.260 that was Charlie's belief. And that's what he put forth. And yet now you have a lot of people
00:54:45.400 saying, oh, you know, I don't know, maybe Christians and Muslims, maybe we have some
00:54:50.160 more in common. And then speaking of that, like you have people, when I think about Erica and
00:54:55.320 everything she's been through, Tucker Carlson, again, like he says that he's good friends with
00:54:59.300 Erica, that he loves Erica, that he supports. And then he has someone like this on his show,
00:55:04.300 and he doesn't say anything, Sotten.
00:55:07.620 You set up and you're not allowed to ask questions about it.
00:55:10.040 And if you are, you are attacking a grieving widow.
00:55:14.080 And that's, again, when did Jackie O ever say,
00:55:16.280 quit looking in, stop, quit looking into who killed my husband?
00:55:19.660 Never. That's not what happens.
00:55:21.200 And that's not how you grieve, by the way.
00:55:23.260 I remember when my dad died,
00:55:24.500 my mom immediately bought a gold sequined pants outfit,
00:55:27.180 started carrying sparklers around and selling T-shirts.
00:55:30.340 And my friends were like, Jimmy, what's with your mom?
00:55:31.920 I'm like, she's grieving.
00:55:32.860 so i'll just leave that there okay i'm just saying like if that's my friend i'm gonna be like
00:55:41.040 i'm not even gonna let you finish that sentence like that's completely inappropriate don't talk
00:55:46.760 about her like that don't like mock the way that she dressed etc um and so there's a there's a lot
00:55:53.780 of that there's just a lot of chaos and fracturing on the right thank goodness we are not saved by
00:56:00.620 politics and by the unity of conservatives. However, it does matter because it affects
00:56:05.900 policy and policy affects people and people matter. And, um, we understand that. And so
00:56:11.400 it does matter to an extent, but we also know that that's not where all of our hope comes from.
00:56:16.860 Um, we do have some encouraging statistics and let me do another, um, I gotta tell you about
00:56:22.900 every life before we get into that, uh, hopeful segment. And let me pause and tell you about
00:56:27.260 the pro-life diaper company that I rely on. We are about to get into the diapers and wipe stage
00:56:34.080 again. We've been out of it for a little bit, but now I'm about to have a newborn. And so we
00:56:39.120 will be using Every Life Diapers and Wipes because we used them with the last baby and they worked
00:56:44.820 well. They are super sturdy and they're clean ingredients and they're really soft and flexible.
00:56:52.240 I love their wipes too. And I love that it's pro-life. I love that they help moms in need,
00:56:56.420 especially through pregnancy centers. They help their pregnant and adopting employees,
00:57:00.200 making sure that they're feeling supported. And unlike so many diaper companies all around,
00:57:05.720 uh, all around America that donate to Planned Parenthood and these pro-abortion politicians,
00:57:10.060 they're doing the opposite. They are actually, actually helping babies live. And that's what
00:57:14.940 we want. Go to everylife.com use promo code Allie 10, get 10% off your first order today.
00:57:20.860 That's everylife.com promo code Allie 10.
00:57:26.420 Now, it's not that the revival has been completely curtailed.
00:57:33.940 First of all, what do we always say?
00:57:35.360 That God's plan doesn't always make headlines.
00:57:38.180 That God's work doesn't always make headlines.
00:57:40.500 It doesn't always go viral.
00:57:41.860 It's not always front and center.
00:57:43.540 It's not always obvious.
00:57:45.400 He is seeking and saving the lost.
00:57:48.240 He is calling his sheep to himself.
00:57:51.080 He is doing everything that he wants to do.
00:57:53.180 Job 42.2 says that nothing is too hard for him.
00:57:56.040 nothing can thwart his will. And so we are reminded of that, that, yeah, gosh, we look at
00:58:01.280 all these things going on and we're like, what happened? Did Satan win? But there is still hope.
00:58:06.600 There's hope beyond these statistics that I'm about to read just because we know how the book
00:58:10.980 ends. Like we know how history ends. We read that in the Bible that Jesus is coming back and he's
00:58:16.160 going to make all things right. And he's going to avenge his people and live in, and we're going 0.99
00:58:21.700 to live in perfect peace because he's going to rule in perfect peace forever and ever. So that's 0.81
00:58:25.140 our hope, but then we can also look at things like this. The American Bible Society's 2026 poll
00:58:29.840 found growth specifically in a population that it calls the movable middle. That's much nicer 1.00
00:58:35.180 than what I call them, which is the mushy middle. Movable middle is good. There was an increase of
00:58:42.000 9 million people who are open to the message of the Bible, even though they're not yet deeply
00:58:47.660 engaged with it. Okay. A movement, an increase of 9 million people. Wow. That's fascinating.
00:58:52.600 I don't know if it's all because of Charlie's murder, but again, the effect that he had,
00:58:56.960 all of the videos that he had that went viral and just the ripple effect of people knowing
00:59:01.880 more about him and the mission that he was on, I do think sparked an interest.
00:59:06.180 Okay, like what is he talking about?
00:59:08.100 Where does this come from?
00:59:09.100 People in America who have never heard the gospel, people in America who call themselves
00:59:13.160 Christians who have never really read the Bible for themselves. 0.53
00:59:15.580 Wow.
00:59:16.200 A 2026 Gallup poll found that young men's religious attendance is up by seven points
00:59:20.600 since 2024.
00:59:21.400 the percentage of young men who said that religion was very important increased from 28% to 42%.
00:59:26.820 And again, I don't know if that's all Charlie Kirk, but I do know that that was his mission
00:59:30.720 field was young men and that he had a recalibrated interest in talking about the Bible
00:59:36.640 and talking about theology. And I do think that he had a huge effect. And I just want to play you
00:59:45.540 an example of Charlie sharing the gospel, and I hope it's an encouragement and instruction to
00:59:50.480 all of us. Stop 13. Are you a Christian? Very much so. And I've wanted to ask, like, why is that
00:59:55.420 exactly? Oh, Jesus saved my life. I'm a sinner. Fall short of the glory of God. Gave my life to
00:59:59.860 Christ. Most important decision I ever made. So you believe the Bible is real? Yes, I believe
01:00:03.560 the Bible is true and real. Why is that? We have the most accurate and transparent, 0.94
01:00:08.980 the most historically robust account, I should say, that one can have of the most important
01:00:14.620 figure ever to live in the history of the world, Jesus of Nazareth. And Jesus of Nazareth, who was
01:00:18.880 born a virgin birth, what we believe is the incarnation, performed miracles all throughout
01:00:23.440 Judea and Samaria, eventually, you know, confronted Pharisees, led to a death that he did not deserve,
01:00:28.480 was in the grave for three days, and then rose from the dead. And the resurrection is the pinpoint
01:00:33.440 of my belief that Jesus did rise from the grave so that we may live. And if you reject that, then
01:00:38.880 you will go where you want to go, which is in absence, the furthest distance one can be from
01:00:45.160 the divine. And he did that a lot. I heard a lot of people who were fans of Charlie or who liked
01:00:50.300 Charlie or maybe didn't know that much about Charlie, but we're fine with him after he died
01:00:54.120 saying, you know, I had no idea. I had no idea that he talked about the Bible that much. I had
01:00:58.640 no idea that he was that Christian. I think a lot of people saw him as a political operator, which
01:01:03.060 he totally was a political operator. And that's really one thing that set him apart
01:01:06.920 from everyone else is that he was this really, really sophisticated political operator.
01:01:15.160 who was able to get things done, who was in Mar-a-Lago in the weeks after Trump was elected,
01:01:20.720 making sure that the Trump administration was ready to go day one to accomplish things,
01:01:25.080 who helped get Trump elected, had played a huge, huge role in that,
01:01:29.760 and who had the ability to affect all kinds of world leaders through his powers of persuasion.
01:01:38.100 He was an incredible debater. He was an extremely good speaker.
01:01:43.720 He was also a good broadcaster.
01:01:46.380 Not most people, actually, I don't know anyone who is all of those things.
01:01:50.320 I don't know anyone else who is all of those things, who is also being a theologian, an
01:01:56.620 apologist.
01:01:57.780 It was really incredible.
01:01:59.360 And a lot of people, after Charlie was murdered, ask, who's going to replace Charlie?
01:02:04.720 No one's going to replace Charlie.
01:02:06.700 No one's going to replace Charlie.
01:02:07.940 It's going to take like 50 people to do what one person was doing.
01:02:12.620 He's not replaceable.
01:02:13.900 At least I don't think in this generation, it's going to take a lot of people to try
01:02:18.000 to fill in the gaps.
01:02:18.840 And so far that just hasn't happened.
01:02:20.520 Now, I think everyone just has to do what they were called to do and let the Lord take
01:02:24.400 care of the rest of it and not worry about who is going to fill this role, but just let
01:02:29.640 Charlie stand alone because God created him uniquely to do what he was called to do in
01:02:35.180 that moment.
01:02:35.680 and I just have thought a lot about like I wonder if the reason why he was so busy and did so much
01:02:44.140 was on a plane probably five times a week some weeks going from college campus to college campus
01:02:49.100 traveling the world sharing the gospel to South Korea and all of these places the reason he was
01:02:53.060 doing so much is because the Lord knew that his life was going to be a sprint like the Lord knew
01:02:58.620 that he wasn't going to have 50 years he wasn't going to become president he wasn't going to do
01:03:02.820 all these things that he could have done to accomplish his entire agenda. He was only going
01:03:07.700 to have 32 years. And so he had to run his race as fast as possible and get it all in so that he
01:03:15.120 could accomplish what he was going to accomplish by 32. And most people like Charlie, the other
01:03:22.700 unique thing is that they just don't give time to people who can't do something in return for them.
01:03:27.720 That's politics. That's media. That's a lot of different spheres. Most people will not give you
01:03:32.220 the time of day unless you can do something for them. Well, no one could do anything for Charlie
01:03:37.880 who was in the political or the Christian commentator sphere. There was no connection
01:03:43.360 that we had, no amount of money that someone had, no amount of power that someone had that
01:03:47.180 would be tempting to Charlie because he had it. He had proximity to power. And yet, how did he
01:03:52.660 use that? Not just for self-inflation, but constantly trying to help other people. I remember
01:03:59.300 he asked me in 2017 to speak at the Young Women's Leadership Summit. I mean, I was barely starting.
01:04:04.840 I barely had any presence. I was just like a blogger. I think I had just started working at
01:04:09.140 The Blaze. And he asked me to come speak. And I have spoken every single year at the Young
01:04:14.800 Women's Leadership Summit since 2017. I think I might be the only one who has spoken every single
01:04:20.520 year since 2017. And that's just because Charlie saw me and he believed in me for no reason,
01:04:26.600 except for that's just like who he was. And then the next year, 2019, he asked me to
01:04:32.520 help plan YWLS with him. And that was just like a real privilege to be able to do that.
01:04:38.660 And that's who Charlie was. He saw people and he saw people for not only who they were,
01:04:43.340 but also what they could be. And he was very charitable in that way. All right. I know it's
01:04:47.680 kind of close together, but I got to give you one more ad before we close out for the day.
01:04:51.140 And that is Concerned Women for America. So if you're listening to this and you're like,
01:04:55.660 I want to be on the ground, I want to be involved, I want to help shape the trajectory of our
01:05:01.020 country for my kids and for our grandkids, then you need to check out Concerned Women for America.
01:05:05.760 They're the largest Christian women's organization, and they work to equip women and families to pray,
01:05:10.260 educate, and advocate for biblical values in our culture and public policy. One of the most
01:05:15.020 important issues that we can be equipped to speak about is the sanctity of human life,
01:05:20.680 And that is why they recently rewrote, uh, an edition of a sanctity of life booklet to
01:05:26.140 equip young women for conversations we are facing today.
01:05:28.560 So good.
01:05:29.260 It's so good to have the tools to be able to engage in those kinds of conversations
01:05:32.920 and debates.
01:05:33.560 Go to concerned women.org slash alley, concerned women.org slash alley.
01:05:44.000 Now, a question that I want to end with that has been debated many times was Charlie a
01:05:49.860 martyr? Does it matter? Well, it matters and it doesn't. Regardless of whether you think Charlie
01:05:56.720 fit the definition of a martyr, he died speaking the truth that was not only cultural truth,
01:06:04.160 but biblical truth, specifically about gender that we read in Genesis 127. He regularly shared
01:06:09.360 the gospel. He made the biggest impact that he possibly could, and he was murdered for speaking
01:06:14.000 the truth. Now, I believe because he was murdered speaking biblical truth that he was a martyr.
01:06:20.500 People don't question whether or not John the Baptist was a martyr. People call John the
01:06:23.820 Baptist a martyr. Now, why was John the Baptist killed? John the Baptist was not killed or
01:06:29.040 imprisoned because he was sharing the news of Jesus and the coming Messiah. Herod imprisoned
01:06:35.340 John primarily because John openly called out Herod's marriage, the sin of marrying his brother
01:06:42.280 Philip's wife, Herodias, while his brother was still alive. And Herodias said, get me John the
01:06:48.760 Baptist head on a platter. And he did. And so it was calling out the violation of the sanctity of 0.98
01:06:55.060 marriage. That is why John the Baptist was killed. And so you can quibble about this,
01:07:00.320 about whether or not he was a martyr. I think that he was. Now here is Jackie Hill Perry's
01:07:04.940 attempt at saying he wasn't really a martyr, Sop 14. I don't want to reword your language,
01:07:10.400 but I also want to add to your language.
01:07:12.820 Help me, be my helper.
01:07:14.320 To say, not only grieving in a way that's distinct,
01:07:18.860 but also grieving, or they misunderstand,
01:07:22.000 why don't you think he's a martyr?
01:07:24.280 And it's like, because I heard what he said.
01:07:26.500 Yeah.
01:07:27.120 And so it's not that I don't appreciate his stances
01:07:32.220 on abortion, on sexuality, on marriage,
01:07:35.640 but it's also, I hear other things alongside that
01:07:38.920 that don't give martyr.
01:07:41.120 Okay. The don't give martyr. And she's probably referring to some of the things that Ben Watson
01:07:45.640 felt the need to say, who is also, you know, he's a pro-life advocate, but felt the need to
01:07:51.520 call Charlie Kirk, describe him as a racist in his tribute post to Charlie right after he was
01:07:58.240 murdered. Um, martyr is not defined by someone who is perfect. Martyr is not defined by someone who,
01:08:03.340 um, never says something that you disagree with. It comes from the word
01:08:08.520 martis, which literally means witness. So Charlie, as he was witnessing to the truth of the Bible,
01:08:15.880 witnessing to the truth of the gospel, he was murdered for what God says is good, right, and
01:08:21.260 true. He also talked about politics, but talking about politics or talking about marriage or
01:08:26.380 cultural issues does not negate your martyrdom. So I believe he was. And I believe that we still
01:08:31.920 have a lot to learn from him and a lot to learn from others like him who aren't as famous as
01:08:39.620 Charlie but nevertheless showed courage and are willing to sacrifice in the face of threats and
01:08:45.420 the face of mockery and the face of persecution. And that has really been the story of the
01:08:53.600 Christian church. It hasn't been religious liberty. It hasn't been comfort. It hasn't
01:08:56.800 inconvenience. It has been adversity. It has been being lambasted, being castigated by the people
01:09:05.460 in charge and the mainstream culture, the majority in a society and being silenced and being killed
01:09:14.460 for that. And yet the gospel has been advanced. What did they say? That the church has been
01:09:23.680 watered by the blood of the martyrs. And I think that's true. The seeds of the church were watered
01:09:30.480 by the blood of the martyrs. And I think that's still true today. And so use this tragedy, yes,
01:09:36.980 to pray and you could mourn, but also to be encouraged that we have been given a spirit of
01:09:42.800 power and of self-control and not one of fear. And that God's eternal plan of redemption is
01:09:48.300 going off without a hitch and graciously he has allowed us to be a part of that. So I just wanted
01:09:54.100 to honor Charlie today. Like I said, we will have Frank Turek on on Friday for what I know will be
01:09:58.780 a super meaningful conversation. So meet us back here then.
01:10:18.300 Thank you.
