00:00:00.000 Today we are talking about none other than Taylor Swift.
00:00:03.260 Taylor Swift released the deluxe version of The Life of a Showgirl.
00:00:07.920 Some of the songs are controversial.
00:00:09.860 Even Swifties are giving it a hard time, more than 50% negative reviews.
00:00:15.300 You would think she'd be more popular than ever. 0.62
00:00:17.400 Football, husband, having gotten married, obviously being excited about getting married.
00:00:22.020 And I feel like people are more annoyed with her in general than in seasons past in her life.
00:00:30.000 hey y'all welcome to relatable happy wednesday hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far
00:00:46.240 oh my goodness we're just a week and a half away i know i keep talking about share the arrows
00:00:50.340 very soon we will not be discussing share the arrows anymore because it will have already come
00:00:54.980 to fruition but i have to talk about it at the top of the show because it's top of mind it's
00:00:59.280 mostly what my team is working on right now. I was telling someone the other day, they were asking
00:01:05.940 me, are you stressed about this? Are you super involved in all the details? Well, if you know
00:01:11.360 me at all, you know that I can't leave myself out of the details. I have to be somewhat involved in
00:01:16.600 every single area of the things that I do, even though I have awesome team, awesome support,
00:01:21.400 and things like that. I just really care. I really care about how you guys experience the day.
00:01:26.860 a lot of you are traveling. Last year, we had women come from six different countries in 48
00:01:31.800 different states. We had someone that I got to talk to who they had come all the way from Australia, 0.98
00:01:37.600 literally just kind of a spontaneous thing. One of them called the other in another part
00:01:41.280 of Australia and said, do you want to fly to Dallas? And so they did. And it was just,
00:01:45.700 it was amazing. And I know that you guys have sacrificed so much in some cases to be there.
00:01:50.020 And I want this to be such a wonderful, easy, smooth, and most importantly, edifying and
00:01:57.800 powerful day for all of you.
00:01:59.240 So we are working around the clock to make sure that that is the case.
00:02:02.800 And if you haven't gotten your tickets yet, you can still get your tickets.
00:02:06.480 If you go to sharethearrows.com, then you can get your tickets today.
00:02:10.820 You can come by yourself.
00:02:11.900 A lot of women come by themselves and it's totally fine. 0.99
00:02:14.880 You're going to make friends. 0.97
00:02:15.980 You'll have someone that can hold your hand, hold your baby, pray with you, sing with you,
00:02:20.600 go to lunch with you, all of those things.
00:02:22.660 You'll find that the relatable audience is really just the kindest and the most generous
00:02:27.060 audience ever.
00:02:28.000 So we are so excited.
00:02:29.360 And I also just want to say again, I know I've said it a couple of times, I think like
00:02:34.560 at the end of the episodes, but that Timothy and I are announcing something that we have
00:02:38.900 been building since January of 2025.
00:02:41.320 We're going to leave it a surprise.
00:02:42.840 it's something that we are announcing first to our Share the Arrows audience, something that we
00:02:47.900 have never done before, nothing like anything I have ever done. And some of you have guessed like
00:02:53.060 writing a book or something like that. Yes, there's a book in the pipeline for sure. And
00:02:57.740 we'll talk about that more in the future, but that's not what it is. It's different than anything
00:03:01.400 that we have ever built. It is something for you that came to mind for you, has been built so
00:03:07.220 diligently for now, well over a year and a half for you. And I am so excited for us to introduce
00:03:12.200 it to the world. And I'm just so pumped. So if you're at Share the Arrows, you will get a sneak
00:03:18.140 peek of what that is. And then if you're not at Share the Arrows, you will still see the
00:03:22.600 announcement sometime after that. But this is first for our Share the Arrows team. And we are
00:03:27.660 just so excited that we are bringing this out into the world. We couldn't be more pumped. So
00:03:33.500 even if you can't be a part of Share the Arrows, I would love for y'all to just pray,
00:03:37.400 for y'all to pray for the day, that women would come in there with their hearts soft and ready
00:03:43.360 for the gospel, ready for truth, that we would all be convicted where we need to be convicted,
00:03:48.020 that we would be spurred on where we need to be spurred on, that we would be held back where we
00:03:51.400 need to be held back, silence where we need to be silenced, that we would have the voice to speak
00:03:55.300 up where we need to speak up, and that only truth would be shared, and that the Lord would just
00:04:01.280 advance his kingdom through us that day, and that it would be a fruitful, encouraging day.
00:04:06.600 So thank y'all so much for those of you who have prayed and for those of you who are making
00:04:11.280 plans to come.
00:04:12.620 We could not be more excited.
00:04:14.260 I get to see you all so soon.
00:04:16.720 All right.
00:04:17.300 Today's episode, the last part of the episode is going to be with producer Brie.
00:04:22.200 We're going to be talking about Taylor Swift and some of the controversy surrounding her
00:04:26.120 encore album.
00:04:28.480 And then also like you have to stay till the very end.
00:04:31.500 The very end is maybe one of my favorite things that we've ever done.
00:04:34.200 and that is Brie and I, we did a, it's not Taylor Swift, but it could be. And we wrote our own
00:04:41.880 Taylor Swift song. So if you want to hear me attempt, attempt to sing, then you should wait
00:04:51.260 until the very end of this episode where I wrote my own version of a Taylor Swift song and Brie
00:04:57.800 did too. It's a really fun lifestyle pitter patter segment. But first we're going to talk
00:05:02.780 about some more entertainers. We set this episode up so that it all kind of like flows nicely and
00:05:09.200 first we are going to start with Macklemore. We have to talk about Ed Sheeran and Macklemore first
00:05:14.900 and because that gets us to Miss Rachel that I really want to focus on. So a lot of you have
00:05:22.740 probably already seen the controversy with Ed Sheeran and Macklemore. So this is what began
00:05:29.440 the controversy it was a while ago now september 4th and 5th um at ad sharon's concert macklemore
00:05:35.840 is opening and he introduced his pro-palestinian protest song heinz hall and it displayed imagery
00:05:42.520 from gaza told the audience so you can see it right there we're playing the video he's got the
00:05:47.340 palestinian flag and he said that one reason he joined the tour was to stand in american stadiums
00:05:52.960 and say, free Palestine.
00:05:54.980 I mean, wow, wow, wow.
00:05:56.220 Just what such a brave, incredibly brave person
00:05:59.400 to repeat the mantra that is popular,
00:06:02.680 most popular on college campuses within the media,
00:06:05.420 in Hollywood, just to basically repeat mottos
00:06:09.560 over and over again that are part
00:06:12.560 of the cultural zeitgeist now
00:06:14.240 and part of the majority opinion about things.
00:06:16.480 That just takes real, real sacrifice.
00:06:19.160 New England Patriots owner, Robert Kraft,
00:06:21.520 this is where things got a little dicey, objected to Macklemore performing at Gillette Stadium,
00:06:26.660 which Kraft owns, and where Ed Sheeran was scheduled to play.
00:06:30.160 Kraft cited both Macklemore's recent performances at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey,
00:06:34.180 where he's waving this Palestinian flag, which also is like very much a choice.
00:06:38.680 New Jersey has a very large Jewish population.
00:06:41.800 No doubt that was part of why Macklemore decided to make this statement there in particular.
00:06:47.880 but also Kraft cited his broader history of anti-Semitic rhetoric and imagery so here are
00:06:54.620 some pictures of Macklemore over the years this is back in apparently 2014 I didn't realize it
00:07:01.200 had been that long ago I feel like this story circulated more recently or that he had done it
00:07:07.660 recently but you can see right there like he's dressed as a caricature of a Jewish person this
00:07:13.960 is from an NPR article in 2014 so it is indeed from 12 years ago and then there's another picture
00:07:19.960 of him doing the same thing where he is just he's got the fake prosthetic nose on it's obviously
00:07:25.460 it's obvious what he's doing or what he was doing he actually apologized at the time stating I
00:07:31.980 acknowledge how the costume could within a context of stereotyping be ascribed to a Jewish caricature
00:07:36.660 that's not my intention unfortunately at the time I did not foresee the costume to be viewed in such
00:07:41.440 regard, but he has long been progressive, long been critical of Israel. And so I'm not so sure
00:07:49.640 if that excuse was actually true. I think the big controversy here is not only that he talked about
00:07:55.920 his politics, that he defended what I think at this point, like you're defending the government
00:08:01.480 of a country that decided to like paraglide into a music festival and to rape and pillage and murder 0.98
00:08:10.920 and kidnap and torture a bunch of people because they were jewish like you're defending hamas at 0.94
00:08:17.120 this point by just unconditionally unapologetically making a statement like this in a place like new
00:08:23.200 jersey like without any caveat or nuance whatsoever like at this at this point it's hard for me to 0.63
00:08:29.300 separate that from defending or excusing hamas and all of the horrific things they have committed 0.81
00:08:34.980 against their own people as well as Israel. But I think like the other big controversy here is that 0.97
00:08:41.900 Ed Sheeran had Macklemore open for him. Like what? What does Macklemore sing? The only song that I
00:08:49.220 can think of is that one song about like gay marriage at some point and then Thrift Shop. 0.96
00:08:54.860 And Thrift Shop was a masterpiece. OK, it was it was a beautiful song. It was a lyrical, 0.92
00:09:01.360 lyrically ingenious, I should say. But that's the last I know of him. I mean, this was a huge
00:09:08.000 break for Macklemore that he was able to open for Ed Sheeran, who is still very popular.
00:09:14.560 I think it was a strange choice just artistically to begin with. Why Macklemore? I even saw someone
00:09:20.480 who I think is progressive. He was making like a joking video on Instagram. He was like, oh,
00:09:25.660 love Macklemore. Love what he was saying. I've got to go out there and go to Spotify and support
00:09:31.280 him by listening to his music, you know what? There's got to be another way. There's got to be
00:09:35.480 another way. So even the people who agree with his statements are like, Macklemore is terrible.
00:09:41.440 Like, why do people even listen to him? Well, Ed Sheeran did have a response to everything
00:09:46.440 Macklemore did. He didn't comment about him not being a talented or relevant artist anymore,
00:09:51.060 but he did have something to say about Macklemore's statements and the whole controversy,
00:09:55.920 which I take issue with how Ed Sheeran handled this. Well, let me pause. Let me tell you about
00:10:01.180 our first sponsor. It's Adele Natural Cosmetics. They will be at Share the Arrows. We love Adele, 0.86
00:10:07.000 have loved Adele on this show for many years. And Share the Arrows is actually brought to you by
00:10:12.560 Adele Natural Cosmetics. They've been such a supporter of the show and of Share the Arrows.
00:10:16.980 I love them because I love their mission. Of course, they're unapologetically Christian,
00:10:20.900 they're unapologetically pro-life. And they put this on all their packaging, on all of their
00:10:25.220 social media and marketing, which I love, but I also love their products. I use their, my favorite
00:10:30.360 thing from them right now I go through my like cycles of using different things I love their
00:10:35.520 moisturizing bronzing stick I've been using it every day it's just so easy to put on and it
00:10:40.280 really works it's a good amount of coverage while still not being too heavy and I love that all of
00:10:46.480 the ingredients everything that they use and all of their products is totally holistic they've got
00:10:51.660 nothing fake everything is natural no endocrine disruptors or toxic ingredients or things like
00:10:57.840 that, you can trust that all their skincare and their cosmetics are super high quality and all

00:11:27.840 all right so Ed Sheeran at first he said you know I don't I don't believe in talking about
00:11:38.920 politics at my shows and I am trying to bring people together he said I've got people of all
00:11:43.940 different backgrounds of all different politics that come to my shows I am there to play music
00:11:48.860 for them and we saw like at his subsequent concerts after this controversy went on with
00:11:55.860 Robert Kraft and Macklemore, like filled stadiums. People were totally happy with Ed Sheeran out in
00:12:00.920 his audience. I don't think they cared really about his politics. And I thought his first
00:12:04.780 response was good. I thought his first response is saying, look, that's not what I'm here for.
00:12:08.860 I'm not a political guy. I don't talk about the things that divide. I thought that that was a
00:12:13.180 totally fine response from an artist. But then he decided to address the conflict. I'm sure he was
00:12:19.860 getting a lot of pressure from his publicist from who knows his record label whoever it was
00:12:27.000 powerful people that were like no you do need to address this and you do need to say something
00:12:31.920 political about it like sometimes like I I love publicists okay I have been in PR in the past
00:12:39.560 like it's they are very important have a very important role but sometimes they are overzealous
00:12:45.840 and they really, really want you to address things.
00:12:48.160 They really want you to apologize for things.
00:12:50.940 And like a good publicist will know
00:12:53.120 when you just need to be like,
00:12:54.680 I'm not saying sorry.
00:12:56.300 I said what I said, let's move on.
00:12:58.900 Like I think that sometimes we all get so caught up
00:13:01.380 in what everyone is saying in the moment
00:13:02.880 that we don't even have the patience
00:13:04.460 to let the conflict breathe and just move on from it.
00:13:08.540 You think that the conflict is going to last forever
00:13:10.500 until you say something about it.
00:13:12.840 But usually the saying something about it
00:13:14.700 actually just fans it into flame war, which is what I think happened when Ed Sheeran decided
00:13:19.400 to say this, top one. What happened in Israel and at the Nova Music Festival on October 7th
00:13:25.300 was horrific and compounded centuries of Jewish pain. What is happening in Gaza is a catastrophic 0.95
00:13:32.740 and unjustifiable and disproportionate. My heart has been broken by the scale of devastation and
00:13:39.600 loss of civilians lives of children's lives and the systemic injustice we're seeing unfold in the
00:13:47.340 west bank cannot be overlooked okay like what that was an attempt at both and like yeah you had this
00:13:55.360 terrorist regime that's been terrorizing israel for all of these years fly into this music festival
00:14:01.840 take hostages kill babies rape women go into you know from house to house murdering people all of 0.96
00:14:08.700 this stuff the response has been disproportionate though what like it's just nonsense sometimes 1.00
00:14:13.900 these pr you know these pr responses that he's clearly reading off of a monitor are just dumb 0.94
00:14:21.140 and so this is his attempt to try to make good with everyone to try to make everyone happy here's 0.93
00:14:26.360 everyone's telling me to cancel and i'm feeling all of my friends and family and people i know
00:14:36.100 abandoned me. And I look at the end of the week and I see 50,000 people who haven't abandoned me.
00:14:46.000 Okay. Well, that's sad. That's sad. Your friends and your family abandoned you,
00:14:50.300 but all of these fans haven't. Get better friends. I mean, horrible family members too.
00:14:56.700 I hope that doesn't include his close immediate family, like his wife. That's such a horrible 0.98
00:15:00.900 thing. Here's the thing. Never apologize for that which you are not sorry and should not be sorry.
00:15:07.920 Don't apologize for it. There are some things that you should be sorry for. There are some times
00:15:12.160 where you make a mistake. It's actually very popular, at least in conservative media,
00:15:16.840 maybe in liberal media too. I think that's probably true, especially in the commentator
00:15:19.940 space to never apologize, to never own up when you are wrong, to never say, hey, I messed up.
00:15:25.360 I got that wrong. That is definitely the mode of operation that most people in the political realm
00:15:33.260 like that they take on. And that is not good. Like sometimes you do need to apologize,
00:15:40.480 but you don't need to apologize if you said something that was true and you just refuse
00:15:46.160 to cave to pressure and people are mad about it. You do not have to apologize for people's reaction
00:15:50.340 to you. You don't have to apologize for people's feelings. It doesn't help. We saw this over and
00:15:56.320 over again in 2020. There is this baby wrap company that in 2020 got all of this hate
00:16:03.260 randomly because they got a patent on a baby wrap carrier that was unique to their company.
00:16:10.060 And all of these people in the comments were like, no, Black women created that first.
00:16:15.580 Africans created that centuries ago. How dare you get a patent on it? Okay, that's not 0.99
00:16:19.780 how this works. It's not how like the American, the United States Patent Office works. I mean,
00:16:24.980 yeah, there were always like, you know, iterations rather of things before they
00:16:31.580 became the official modern invention, of course. But this company apologized. They apologized for
00:16:38.760 it. And then the apology wasn't enough because the haters were saying, oh, you centered yourself
00:16:43.680 in that apology. And so then they gave another apology for their first apology not being good
00:16:48.500 for the first thing they were apologizing for. I'm not joking. That is actually something that
00:16:53.100 occurred. And like, it just made me so mad, not just at the bullies that they smelled blood and
00:16:58.980 vulnerability and they saw like a progressive person or a semi-progressive company and they
00:17:04.200 knew that they could manipulate them into kowtowing to them, but also the weakness of
00:17:09.000 this business owner and the name of compassion and empathy saying, oh, I'm going to say sorry
00:17:14.000 to these people just because people are loud, just because people are mean, just because people are
00:17:19.120 persistent does not make them right. And they are not the boss of you. Okay. They're not the boss of
00:17:24.300 you, Ed Sheeran. These people are not the boss of you. Like follow your own convictions. And of
00:17:28.700 course, if you're a Christian, follow the word of God. And if you are speaking the truth in love,
00:17:32.840 and it's seen as controversial to people, or you're refusing to bow down to whatever idol or
00:17:37.920 whatever false teaching it is, and people are angry at you for that, it doesn't matter. Okay.
00:17:43.060 They were angry at Jesus.
00:17:44.940 They were angry at Stephen.
00:17:46.340 They were angry at the apostles.
00:17:48.560 Like just, I'm not saying Ed Sheeran is doing something or was standing for something equivalent
00:17:52.720 to the gospel.
00:17:54.160 It's just the principle that you don't need to do what other people say just because the
00:18:00.280 pressure is on.
00:18:01.300 First of all, they're going to move on to the next victim really soon.
00:18:04.220 Okay.
00:18:05.600 And then we have someone out here who is very, very popular, who loves the applause of people
00:18:12.240 and who has become increasingly progressive
00:18:15.180 and increasingly outspoken in her politics.
00:18:18.980 And that is Miss Rachel.
00:18:21.020 Now, Miss Rachel, surprise, surprise,
00:18:23.280 even with Macklemore very clearly making fun
00:18:27.500 of Jewish people and their appearance,
00:18:29.420 and she claims to be this like super,
00:18:31.760 you know, compassionate, loving person,
00:18:33.920 she supports Macklemore, okay?
00:18:36.040 So after all the Ed Sheeran controversy,
00:18:38.800 Miss Rachel said that she would be matching
00:18:41.200 Macklemore's a million dollar to Palestine aid donation. Okay, so that's her way of giving him
00:18:49.320 good press. That's her way of saying, I'm on your side. And then she also said, I will match
00:18:56.940 Macklemore's donation and I invite every wealthy white celebrity to match it and speak out against
00:19:02.500 the genocide in Gaza. Every wealthy white celebrity to match it. Beyonce, you're off the
00:19:09.060 hook aziz ansari you're off the hook um i don't know who else penelope cruz i think you're off 0.82
00:19:16.480 the hook the jury's still out we'll let you know um you have to be a white celebrity okay to match
00:19:23.320 this donation and speak out against the genociding gods over 20 000 precious palestinian children 0.75
00:19:27.780 have been killed and children continue to be killed every day no one should be happy about 0.51
00:19:31.640 children being killed by the way no one like war is so awful the conflict is so awful um
00:19:38.900 every conflict everywhere by the way like that's not the only conflict going on like we should have
00:19:44.280 compassion for those children and any actual injustice occurring i also have compassion for
00:19:49.060 the children who have been subjugated and who have been killed because of hamas who have been
00:19:53.940 starved because of them i also have compassion for the children in nigeria i also have compassion
00:19:59.940 for the children here who are the victims of infanticide and abortion i'm not saying that
00:20:06.040 we can't have compassion for a particular set of vulnerable people somewhere in the world. But
00:20:10.860 I do think it's strange sometimes that these progressive celebrities have a hyper fixation
00:20:16.360 on only one subset of people in order to advance a political point. She said that we have the moral
00:20:22.960 obligation to use our privilege and platforms to protect children and human rights. Now she
00:20:29.300 kind of revealed recently just how undiscerning she is when it comes to this particular issue,
00:20:38.360 specifically when it comes to Gaza. She has faced scrutiny over the past several months because of
00:20:45.700 her relationship with a Palestinian journalist named Motaz Aziza. In 2025, she made a video
00:20:53.500 with Aziza in which she called him my friend Motaz. Now, who is Aziza? The Palestinian journalist
00:21:00.460 had admitted to hiding footage of Israeli hostages to protect Hamas. He revealed in a September video
00:21:08.300 that on October 7th, he filmed Israeli captives being beaten after they were brought to Gaza,
00:21:13.080 but deliberately withheld the footage because he feared Israel could use it to identify the
00:21:17.560 Palestinians involved. So he works for Hamas. He's a Hamas propagandist. He is actually covering for 0.84
00:21:22.520 the abuse of a terrorist regime and Miss Rachel, the children's entertainer that is teaching your 0.70
00:21:28.660 kids their consonants is covering for him. Okay. Aziza has said on social media that quote, 0.66
00:21:34.880 for me, the lives of Palestinians is way more precious. This is his grammar is way more precious
00:21:40.900 than the Israeli lives. Okay. A single Palestinian is more important than a thousand Israelis. And 1.00
00:21:47.180 And by the way, like this is how most Palestinians think, not just Hamas, not just these propagandists.
00:21:53.220 But if you look at these like man on the street interviews when they're interviewing people from Israel and interviewing people from Palestine, the Islamic worldview is extremely inherently anti-Jewish because they see them see them theologically and apocalyptically as an impediment to the advance of Islam.
00:22:11.860 They also see Christianity in the same way, by the way, but Jews and their proximity and 0.60
00:22:17.520 what they believe about how the Jews have perverted like their own holy sites and their 0.97
00:22:22.060 own like holy scriptures and things like that, they typically bear the brunt at least first. 0.96
00:22:28.920 And, you know, Judaism doesn't have the same theology. 0.82
00:22:31.340 They just don't have the same worldview when it comes to people of other religions.
00:22:36.160 And so that's why you see such a disparate take on the conflict from Israelis and Palestinians.
00:22:41.740 Now, Ms. Rachel received backlash.
00:22:44.500 She deleted the clip from social media. 1.00
00:22:47.580 She also got in hot water for liking an Instagram comment. 0.95
00:22:52.020 And the Instagram comment was, free America from the Jews. 0.50
00:22:55.020 That's according to the Hollywood Reporter.
00:22:56.660 Now, she had posted an apology video about that saying that she didn't mean to.
00:23:01.840 But I just think that that's what happens when you start trafficking in these circles.
00:23:05.420 If you are going to say that my friend Motaz is in my videos, and you are going to only
00:23:12.600 talk about one side of this conflict from one very narrow perspective, and you are going
00:23:18.180 to make excuses for people dressing up in clearly anti-Jewish costumes, and you're going 0.54
00:23:23.820 to cover for a Hamas, a terrorist regime propagandist who is responsible for so much
00:23:28.480 devastation, specifically to children, specifically to Gazan children, well, then you're just 1.00
00:23:33.460 going to end up doing things that are really stupid and bad, like really stupid and bad. So 1.00
00:23:38.160 when you see all of those videos going around of Miss Rachel talking about just being compassionate
00:23:42.780 and empathetic and loving and kind, I'm sure that she has the intention to do that, but she has also 1.00
00:23:48.440 allowed herself to be very undiscerning and very stupid. And being empathetic and stupid is not 1.00
00:23:55.500 virtuous. It leads you to a very dangerous place. It leads you to support dangerous policies because 1.00
00:24:01.060 you're not actually able to see things objectively and morally. You're only seeing things emotionally
00:24:06.200 and none of us are good at being led emotionally. It doesn't lead us to a good place, especially
00:24:11.900 when it comes to making foreign policy, right? And so Miss Rachel is just not someone that,
00:24:18.240 I don't think she's someone that we should support at all, just because I think that she's
00:24:21.820 extremely moral relativistic, morally relativistic. She supports all different kinds of sexual
00:24:28.760 degeneracy. She has had the non-binary they, them hoisted up in her videos. She doesn't mirror the 1.00
00:24:36.220 worldview that I know that you guys want your kids to learn. And there are other people out there who
00:24:41.600 can teach your kids phonics and teach your kids speech other than Ms. Rachel. Now, she also has 0.91
00:24:47.360 a history, a very recent history of pushing non-verified progressive narratives specifically
00:24:53.980 when it comes to race. And she has been pushing multiple hoaxes and multiple false and unsubstantiated
00:25:01.680 narratives when it comes to black Americans. And I just want to take a second to debunk some of
00:25:06.160 those things. But first, let me pause and let me tell you about Cozy Earth. Y'all, I love Cozy
00:25:11.280 Earth. I don't know about you, but it's gotten a little bit cooler where I live, just a little bit
00:25:15.540 cooler. And we just in the South, we just needed a little bit cooler before we pull out our fall
00:25:20.200 costume. Okay. We got our boots. We got our jackets. We got our sweaters. We got our scarves
00:25:25.920 and we've got our loungewear. And if we've got loungewear, we've got it from Cozy Earth
00:25:29.460 because it's breathable, but it's also warm. It's super luxurious, really soft. Nothing that I have
00:25:35.800 from Cozy Earth, whether it's their towels or their sheets or their loungewear, their pajamas,
00:25:40.960 I have it all is like scratchy or stiff or not good quality. It's all so good. If you're already
00:25:46.520 thinking about like Christmas presents, then you should probably look into Cozy Earth because this
00:25:51.720 is a really great, thoughtful present. I would love for you to give me some loungewear from
00:25:55.920 Cozy Earth for Christmas. Just dropping a hint, Chief Relatable. CozyEarth.com. Use my code
00:26:02.080 relatable for up to 20% off home and sleepwear. That is CozyEarth.com, code relatable.
00:26:08.780 okay do you remember it's been a couple months now the news story the narrative that was being
00:26:22.340 circulated on social media about all of these black americans getting lynched literally getting
00:26:28.960 hung from trees it's horrible and just like a trigger warning just even saying the word lynched
00:26:33.520 is so chilling. It's so terrible. And so you would think if you haven't heard about this,
00:26:40.120 you would think, okay, wait, wouldn't I have heard about this? This would have been a really
00:26:43.040 big deal if this had been like a series of black people being targeted and then being 0.95
00:26:47.880 murdered in this way. That is a huge deal. Well, you might not have heard about it unless maybe 0.96
00:26:53.980 you follow Miss Rachel because it didn't actually turn out to be factually true. But in August,
00:26:59.700 miss rachel posted a video fueling this narrative saying that gosh these black people are getting 0.97
00:27:05.700 killed all over the south because of racism thought three please listen to the black community black 0.96
00:27:11.200 people don't hang themselves from trees there's been at least seven black people found hanging 0.89
00:27:18.080 from trees yeah i don't know why she posts videos like that a lot where she like abruptly cuts
00:27:23.320 herself off and you can tell like she kept going but she just posts like a tiny snippet so that
00:27:27.840 was literally like the video that she posed um none of the examples though that she references
00:27:33.000 on her social media that she is talking about there have anything to do with race she says
00:27:38.480 that there has been seven there have been seven black people found hanging from trees
00:27:42.500 every single one except for one was determined to be a suicide and in that other one that was
00:27:50.200 determined to be a homicide but of a black woman but a black man her boyfriend is being charged
00:27:56.300 with that murder and i mean that's awful that doesn't make this any less tragic but attaching
00:28:01.300 a racial narrative to it is just totally completely unsubstantiated and only leads to bad outcomes
00:28:08.400 because it leads to the resentment and the bitterness and the anger and the fear of people
00:28:12.620 who are black thinking that this is an epidemic that's happening because of white supremacy
00:28:16.480 and then that just causes division and bitterness and possibly more violence as one side thinks they 0.99
00:28:22.660 need to take vengeance against the evil white people who are hanging them from trees when 0.98
00:28:25.880 that's just not true. That was my whole thing in 2020 as well. Like that just because, again, 0.99
00:28:33.060 just because people are mad, just because people are emotional, just because there are people from
00:28:37.160 one group who are saying something is true doesn't mean it is true. And it doesn't mean you have to
00:28:41.160 agree with them. And that's where toxic empathy was born. That's where the idea was born. The
00:28:46.140 whole social justice narrative that so many white evangelicals latched onto just because they wanted
00:28:51.280 to be seen as loving and kind. And the facts were not there. The biblical truth didn't back it up,
00:28:56.700 and they ended up supporting ideas and policies that hurt people's theology and hurt our country.
00:29:01.740 And so it's actually not loving. As I said, the other six deaths were all ruled as suicides.
00:29:10.200 Kyle, Juliana, Cedric, Tunae, Gerard, those are all people, image bearers of God, who died by
00:29:18.180 suicide, who apparently hung themselves on trees. The investigations did not see any foul play and
00:29:25.100 certainly didn't see any racial motive behind that. And then Tazia was the 29-year-old woman 0.61
00:29:32.580 from Jackson, Mississippi, who apparently was murdered by her boyfriend, Jarkay Ratliff.
00:29:41.940 And then Miss Rachel has also pushed this racial narrative about a young man named Nolan
00:29:48.360 Wells.
00:29:49.380 This is also a very sad story.
00:29:51.360 He was a black college student who died at a 4th of July outing this year.
00:29:55.360 She said that he was a victim of a racist attack.
00:29:58.260 He was 18 years old.
00:30:00.420 He went with his friends to Horn Island off the Mississippi Gulf Coast for a 4th of July
00:30:04.900 gathering.
00:30:05.800 He didn't make it back with a group and his body was found near the island two days later.
00:30:10.260 investigators have not found evidence that wells was murdered at all much less that he was the
00:30:16.520 victim of a racially motivated killing we don't see any substantiation of that whatsoever but
00:30:24.180 miss rachel said we know the investigation and everything that followed would have been different
00:30:28.380 if nolan wells were white and his friends were black nolan and his family deserved justice we
00:30:32.060 actually don't know that that's the thing that's a presupposition based on your own worldview your
00:30:38.100 own assumptions. We do not know that. There is actually no evidence of that. She says Nolan
00:30:42.800 Wells' life mattered. Absolutely. Absolutely his life mattered. And I want him to get justice. And
00:30:48.100 I want the truth to be revealed because those things objectively matter, no matter what your
00:30:52.380 skin color is. Then she goes on to say black lives matter. Black boys deserve to grow up. 0.78
00:30:57.660 Of course, everyone does. I don't think anyone's arguing that. But also, if you really care about 0.86
00:31:02.760 black boys growing up do you know what brings down the average lifespan for a black man it's 0.99
00:31:07.920 gang violence it's homicide from other black men the vast vast vast majority of murders in this 0.96
00:31:13.780 country for all races are intraracial but disproportionately high number of homicide 0.98
00:31:20.220 among black americans like out of the park completely disproportionate to their population
00:31:26.200 size. Homicide within the black community is a huge, huge problem. That is what is inhibiting 1.00
00:31:32.860 black boys from growing up for the most part in America. But has Miss Rachel ever talked about 0.72
00:31:37.980 that? Has she ever talked about gang violence? Has she ever talked about the epidemic, the true
00:31:43.700 epidemic of black men killing other black men? No. Black lives only matter when there is a possible 0.98
00:31:49.580 white perpetrator to these people. And that's why that's not just. That is partiality. And it only 0.88
00:31:55.000 causes distress and division, especially when it's totally and completely unsubstantiated.
00:32:00.620 She posted a video about it in September saying that we should keep asking questions. Really,
00:32:07.380 the story goes like there's a lot of different parts of it and we don't have time to get into
00:32:11.220 all of the intricacies of it. But the question is, did he drown? Was he left to drown? Was he
00:32:18.660 not helped by his friends? Like what actually went on? And I totally respect and understand
00:32:23.780 why his parents are trying to seek those answers. That makes sense. I would want those answers too.
00:32:30.540 Why this has become a racial narrative, it's really unclear, except for the fact that he was
00:32:35.800 just, he was black and a lot of the other kids there were white. The truth is, is that this
00:32:42.680 has received, this case has received an extensive review. A Jackson County grand jury issued 132
00:32:48.100 subpoenas, heard from 43 witnesses, reviewed cell phone and GPS data, photographs, videos,
00:32:53.480 forensic reports and other evidence the grand jury voted ultimately uh unanimously not to indict
00:33:00.580 anyone saying that they had no credible evidence that the people who went with him committed a
00:33:05.680 crime connected to his death that's according to associated press and so like what more do we want
00:33:10.380 like miss rachel please be specific what more do we want from this investigation like it's not like
00:33:16.520 they did nothing i understand if it was a bunch of good old boys being like oh yeah we don't need
00:33:20.460 to look into this kid drowns no big deal that's clearly not what was going on here miss rachel's
00:33:26.560 claim that nolan wells didn't drown is unsupported by the evidence it's just based on viral tiktok 0.58
00:33:31.660 claims it's the same thing our justice system is in such trouble because of these tiktok influencers
00:33:38.080 that then influence opinions of people and potential jury members and all of that like
00:33:43.640 we can't even have true impartial justice because people are getting their ideas from tiktok 0.95
00:33:50.340 and the people on TikTok who are making legal claims are usually really dumb, okay? You should 0.96
00:33:55.980 just assume that. Don't outsource your thinking to anyone, including to me, by the way, okay?
00:34:01.940 Think, think, think. I want you to stop and think. Don't just listen to, including my own videos,
00:34:08.440 a video or an argument that sounds compelling. I want you to turn it off and I want you to think
00:34:12.720 about things, okay? Us being objective and being able to issue impartial justice,
00:34:17.540 our country lives and dies by that but also god cares about that because god hates partiality
00:34:23.700 and if you can't think objectively about a case because of social media you need to get off social
00:34:29.800 media dr christopher tape a louisiana coroner weighed in saying this is according to wdsu
00:34:36.680 local news station neither one of them found conclusional evidence of drowning but each of
00:34:42.280 them noted there are decompositional changes which makes the conclusion difficult including
00:34:47.180 with drowning. And when he said neither one of them, he's talking about an independent pathologist
00:34:51.600 that Wells's family hired, and then also the state medical examiner. They said that he could
00:34:58.480 have drowned, but it's really hard to tell. He also said, so there's this claim going around
00:35:04.600 on TikTok that no water was found in Wells's lung, so he couldn't have drowned. And then
00:35:08.980 Tape explained this, paradoxically, you won't find water in the airways for some of these drownings
00:35:13.420 for someone who has been dead for a while after a few days the water is going to distribute
00:35:17.540 everywhere so it becomes difficult to conclude um there's absolutely no evidence says district
00:35:24.040 attorney angel myers mcgillrith that wells's disappearance or death was racially motivated
00:35:30.900 miss rachel's pushing this false narrative and it's irresponsible wells's friends his friends
00:35:36.180 okay have received death threats these boys have received death threats their families have had to
00:35:41.880 hire attorneys for the crime of them being white. Now, maybe they were dumb teenagers that day. 1.00
00:35:48.860 Teenage boys do silly things. That's why their insurance is more expensive when they start 0.99
00:35:55.140 driving because they do things based on adrenaline. They do things based on just a
00:36:01.460 spontaneous desire for adventure. Those things are good about boys, by the way. It's good that
00:36:07.380 boys are risk takers, that they want to do things in some ways that are dangerous. But when that
00:36:11.680 frontal lobe hasn't developed, boys can get themselves into dangerous situations. I don't
00:36:16.920 know what happened here. I think that's more likely something that happened if they just
00:36:21.560 weren't thinking through what they were doing or he wasn't thinking through what he was doing.
00:36:25.340 I don't know. That kind of thing happens. But the idea that these boys are getting death threats
00:36:30.300 for killing their friend because he was black. I mean, imagine you're already going through all 0.65
00:36:34.920 of this trauma and now you've got to deal with this. It's evil. It's evil what social media does
00:36:40.180 to these cases. And it's evil how critical race theory has said, if you are white and you're
00:36:46.280 involved in a situation with a black person, you are always the oppressor and the black person is 0.94
00:36:50.040 always oppressed no matter what. And the fact that Miss Rachel, the most popular children's 0.99
00:36:55.020 educator and entertainer in the world is pushing that divisive and harmful narrative
00:37:01.000 that creates this victim mentality that actually perpetuates a lot of the violence and a lot of
00:37:09.160 the bad policy that hurts children in Black communities. It's just so bad. That's why I
00:37:14.380 wrote Toxic Empathy. It's for people like Miss Rachel to say that you might feel deeply for one
00:37:18.800 person, but your empathy, empathy in general isn't bad, but your empathy is misguided in these issues
00:37:25.280 and it's blinding you to reality and morality and it's making you make bad decisions and you're
00:37:29.660 encouraging other people to make bad decisions and it's destructive. So, opt out of Miss Rachel.
00:37:35.560 ed sheeran stop apologizing for things macklemore go home now we have to talk about another celebrity

00:38:10.440 She drew our blood, took some vials, took, I mean, a few minutes, completely painless, 1.00
00:38:15.520 totally convenient with our schedule, very flexible.
00:38:18.660 And then she shipped them off and I got the results to my blood draw just a few days later.
00:38:23.720 And I was able to get a real look at, okay, what is going on with my hormones, with my

00:39:29.700 Brie, welcome back to our Lifestyle Pitter Patter segment. Today, we are talking about
00:39:35.280 none other than Taylor Swift. What's going on? Why are we talking about her today?
00:39:41.260 So Taylor Swift released basically the deluxe version of her album, The Life of a Showgirl.
00:39:48.680 She released it this, I guess, last weekend. And everyone's talking about it because some
00:39:56.340 of the songs are controversial and um she hasn't released music in about a year so this is kind of
00:40:02.740 a it was a surprise thing so so this was kind of this when you say deluxe edition you're talking
00:40:08.840 about she added four new songs to an album that already existed the life of the showgirl album
00:40:15.940 that came out last year that was kind of controversial because she was looking like 0.98
00:40:20.760 pretty sexual on the cover and things like that i mean i guess you could say everything that she
00:40:25.420 puts out causes some kind of controversy with different opinions but why specifically is this
00:40:32.020 encore deluxe edition controversial controversial why are people mad about it 0.64
00:40:37.660 so to back up the original the life of a showgirl album was already controversial because she went
00:40:45.980 back to these like big swedish um producers who max martin who produced like he produced for
00:40:52.740 Britney Spears. And so she kind of thought that that would be like home run pop album of the year
00:40:59.400 kind of thing. And the reviews already were not great for that album. And so she's releasing four
00:41:06.740 new tracks that she made with the same producer. I think, again, she thought that they were just
00:41:11.500 going to be pop hits. And the controversy is just that people think it's bad writing. People think
00:41:16.480 it's bad writing and they weren't it wasn't the same like spark I guess that most Taylor Swift
00:41:22.920 songs have even the Swifties have turned on her for a lot of these songs so that's why it's
00:41:29.940 controversial yeah you said that even Swifties are giving it a hard time I saw some videos that
00:41:38.520 were circulating on Instagram that I think originally were on TikTok that had like thousands
00:41:42.360 hundreds of thousands. One on TikTok I know had like a million likes of someone basically being
00:41:48.260 like, look, I'm a Swifty. I hated this. Its current tally of reviews, it has a score of 39 out of 100
00:41:56.740 on the review aggregator Metacritic giving Swift her first red album. So that means it's not in
00:42:03.140 the green, it's in the red, more than 50% negative reviews. And then we also have Poppy Platt,
00:42:10.620 a reviewer for the telegraph she titled her review i'm a swifty and even i think these songs are
00:42:16.940 terrible and then they put like two out of five stars right now and so she really hates on it a
00:42:23.540 lot she said that what she doesn't seem to have realized is that the music must be good to do a
00:42:30.300 surprise release and she really goes hard on her as a lot of people have um do you think as some
00:42:38.480 people are speculating that she has lost her artistic edge since meeting travis
00:42:43.060 um look you know how i feel about taylor swift i love taylor swift um but i have felt that almost
00:42:56.260 every song that's been about him has just not been her strongest lyrically um and so
00:43:04.260 has she lost her edge I don't know I mean maybe but um maybe she just needs to she wrote a whole
00:43:13.460 album about concepts and stories that aren't even hers or related to her and that was my favorite
00:43:19.720 album of hers and so I think she's still able to tap into that yeah that's folklore and evermore
00:43:26.560 um and um so maybe it's just the songs that are strictly about him that are kind of meh
00:43:33.280 to me yeah that being said the Cleveland song is about is about Travis on this one
00:43:38.860 right yes yeah and that's your least favorite yeah it's hard to miss that it's about Travis
00:43:45.780 um no actually my hot take is so that's most people's least favorite everyone's clowning on
00:43:52.520 Cleveland um that one's actually grown on me I think it's probably my favorite from the four 0.62
00:43:58.060 wow okay let me read some of the lyrics for people okay so i think that it's ridiculous 0.99
00:44:08.300 the way that she does this she's not as hot as she was she was only a four she was never a girl's 1.00
00:44:14.800 girl she was just uh and with all that money why is she dressed like trash when she smiles 1.00
00:44:20.560 it's annoying and have you seen her stumbling clumsily would you even call that dancing i can 0.65
00:44:27.620 see what you mean no but okay actually so you gave me homework I had to listen to it and I
00:44:33.060 listened to it this morning I had already listened to it once when it came out just for research
00:44:37.240 and yes it's it's kind to me though it's kind of like almost any almost any Taylor Swift song
00:44:43.900 where if you listen too closely you're like oh my gosh this is so cheesy but then if you just
00:44:49.900 listen to it casually you're like okay I actually kind of like it like I can see how it's catchy
00:44:56.860 The more I listened to it, the more I was like, it's kind of cute.
00:45:00.980 Yep.
00:45:02.360 Yeah, it is cute.
00:45:04.740 Yeah, I mean, it's very she's in this phase right now.
00:45:07.600 That's very like, oh, screw the haters.
00:45:11.580 Like, I found my man and he plays football there.
00:45:15.320 She has like five songs that are just basically that.
00:45:19.140 And I think that's what I'm tired of a little bit.
00:45:21.520 I'm like, we get it.
00:45:22.340 He plays football.
00:45:23.080 um but I think it's catchy and you know what she can write a song about being happy
00:45:29.740 okay I did not like patient zero did you
00:45:33.920 um it didn't I didn't like any of them on first listen I think this one has grown on me yeah a
00:45:42.400 little bit too okay there's a bridge that I guess is kind of going viral so our audience many of
00:45:49.280 whom probably has not listened to any of this they can listen and they can give their thoughts
00:45:53.040 top four so let's get into it i know he charmed your family and friends and you thought it's
00:45:59.660 because he loves you but it's because he loves how everybody else loves him
00:46:04.040 i know it seems like he shines so bright but he's bathing in your reflected light on a free
00:46:12.440 okay that was that was really long why i don't know how dakota johnson and colin firth got
00:46:23.840 like roped into this love triangle well that's colin farrell um not colin same thing
00:46:32.880 close though very close sorry um i don't know dakota johnson's friends with her um and i feel
00:46:41.100 like when Taylor Swift calls you and asks you to be in her music videos, you do it. So
00:46:45.740 you know, I guess that's just how someone said it sounds like a children's educational song
00:46:53.680 about how locomotives work. And I don't think that is true. Like, I actually don't agree with
00:47:00.320 that assessment. I have never liked the talk sing thing. I just think it's very, very cheesy and
00:47:07.240 cringe when you're talking instead of singing and i don't know why she does this some have
00:47:11.480 speculated that she doesn't have a good voice anymore like she's done this style too much and
00:47:15.980 it's kind of ruined her vocal cords yeah i saw some tweets about that um i don't know i think
00:47:24.940 she's just trying to keep up with like trends pop trends um and i don't know that it works for her
00:47:32.980 also i agree the bridge is really wordy and she's someone who's known for writing like a really good
00:47:39.940 solid bridge of a song yeah um so yeah i understand why this confused people and why people are
00:47:47.980 clowning on it a little bit sorry tay
00:47:51.320 all right quick pause from that conversation with brie to tell you about good ranchers so in an
00:48:02.480 effort to lower beef prices, which we like lower beef prices, but how they're going about it is
00:48:07.560 not that great. The government is importing 300,000 metric tons of foreign ground beef
00:48:12.820 into the U.S. market. The problem with that is now when you go into the grocery store,
00:48:16.860 you don't know where that beef is coming from. You don't know their quality. You don't know what
00:48:20.420 country of origin it's from. Even if it says made in the USA, the law, the regulation here
00:48:25.740 in America is that it just has to be packaged in the U.S. It doesn't actually have to be raised
00:48:30.140 in livestock in the US. But if you really want to make sure that you are supporting American farms
00:48:36.500 and ranches and still getting a really good bang for your buck, then you should get all of your
00:48:40.660 meat from Good Ranchers. I'm so thankful for Good Ranchers. Our freezer is always filled with better
00:48:45.900 than organic chicken, craft beef, different cuts of steak. So when we have people over, we always
00:48:50.160 have an abundance of things that we can cook that you can stick in the crock pot that you can put
00:48:54.220 on the grill. For kids, we've got the seed oil-free chicken nuggets. And it just makes life easier for
00:48:59.360 us to always have at least one part of our meal accounted for. I love bacon wrapped chicken. I
00:49:05.560 love bacon in my green beans. Bacon just makes everything better. And I love the bacon from
00:49:11.140 Good Ranchers. If you go to goodranchers.com, you get a free ground beef bundle with your first
00:49:16.620 Good Ranchers order. That is four pounds of 100% American Angus ground beef for free. Go to
00:49:23.160 goodranchers.com slash Allie, goodranchers.com slash Allie.
00:49:29.360 okay tell us what else do you think tell us your hot takes about the encore
00:49:35.820 um okay well my hot take because people don't like it is actually that um it's way better than
00:49:47.580 people think it is that's my hot take i think the last song babylon no one's talking about that but
00:49:54.580 it's very classic swift writing like it's pretty strong writing if you listen to it um and then
00:50:02.620 what's the other one pink clouding that one doesn't do much for me but it's very like you
00:50:08.500 could if you put it in any other album of hers it would have been a hit that's my take i think that
00:50:14.640 all of these would if you put them on a different album people would have liked them more i think
00:50:20.000 these songs are a victim of um her perception right now or public perception and i don't think
00:50:28.120 they're getting a fair shake because of that um and again i understand why people think cleveland
00:50:34.340 is cheesy i just like it for what it is she has songs like that already so anyone who's saying
00:50:40.440 that she's lost it or that this is something new it's not maybe that's a point against her
00:50:46.740 that is more of the same but um it's just it's just taylor swift to me so as a swift historian
00:50:54.420 i'll tell you that yeah yeah i'm like why does she have such like a poor public perception right now
00:51:01.520 because you would think she'd be more popular than ever having this like you know football 1.00
00:51:06.760 husband having gotten married obviously being excited about getting married i think she's like 1.00
00:51:12.600 maybe it's because she's like moved even more I mean obviously she was always mainstream she's
00:51:17.200 super popular but she's gone into other realms that typically maybe don't think about Taylor
00:51:21.540 Swift aren't fans of Taylor Swift and now people just feel a need to always commentate like on her
00:51:28.260 life or her politics or things like that I don't know it's just interesting I feel like people are
00:51:33.240 more annoyed with her in general than in seasons past in her life yeah I agree with that completely
00:51:41.420 I think part of it is there's a section of people who have always not liked her who have always
00:51:48.040 thought she was cheesy and annoying then there's the people I think who were turned off by this
00:51:53.400 album specifically we didn't talk about this but on the life of a show girl there's a song called
00:51:58.180 wish list that's basically like oh you know all these people want all these things they want like
00:52:03.840 money and Oscars and awards and stuff like that but I just want you and I just want to have a 0.88
00:52:11.400 song and when the album came out a lot of women were like ew i hate that song it was like uh it 1.00
00:52:19.440 was like a thing to hate on that song because people were like that's gross why would she
00:52:23.520 want just a bunch of his kids the the lyric is like i want the whole neighborhood to look like
00:52:28.660 you um implying she just wants a bunch of them and um and so cute but i think also people are
00:52:36.200 now like, okay, so she's going to be a little trad now. And that's annoying to a lot of the 0.70
00:52:41.560 people who liked her before. So I think those things combined, she's just at levels of annoying 0.91
00:52:49.180 for the most people right now, which is unfortunate for her. But I think that's just
00:52:56.000 what it is. Her and the Kelsey's are all a part of a psyop that helps the, not that it's not real.
00:53:02.320 I'm not saying that it's not real, but they represent what Democrats like want to convey
00:53:09.580 that you can be a progressive feminist who likes Kamala Harris and hates Donald Trump.
00:53:15.220 And you're from like the Midwest.
00:53:17.500 You represent normal Americans.
00:53:19.620 You can be trad.
00:53:20.940 You can have kids. 1.00
00:53:22.240 But I think when presidential election time comes around that the Kelsey Swift combo is 1.00
00:53:27.960 going to be flexing their influence muscles for the Democrats. 0.99
00:53:30.880 and they're like they're getting a very real demographic that is up for grabs that white
00:53:36.060 suburban mom i know i'm getting into this that like instinctively doesn't like trump but is also 0.90
00:53:41.000 kind of trad and i think like the more trad she gets and the more she remains progressive in other
00:53:47.380 ways the more they think that she's going to be able to persuade people over to their side
00:53:51.440 that's part of what i think is happening she's playing a long ideological game here
00:53:56.400 i think you're probably right ultimately but i am going to take the white pill and i'm going to say
00:54:05.000 i think she might i think she might become a little bit more conservative than she was before
00:54:12.000 not that she'd campaigned for a republican but i think that she'll be a little bit less
00:54:17.940 progressive than we've seen her be in the past that's my hope let's hope yes and let's hope
00:54:23.680 that this is for them like brings them to church brings them to the gospel that could be what
00:54:29.800 totally revolutionizes their life because that also can happen after people start settling down
00:54:34.440 all right now brie this is the unless you have something else to say this is the moment that
00:54:40.320 we've all been waiting for and that is the segment of it's not taylor swift but it could be
00:54:47.060 and i was laying in bed last night and i wrote my own version of a taylor swift song
00:54:53.700 um and you did too you're gonna go first you're gonna go first i like everyone knows i mean not
00:55:03.100 everyone knows but obviously i'm not a singer i can't sing so the melody part of this was really
00:55:08.260 hard the lyrics were kind of fun to come up with but singing but i think that we should try to sing
00:55:14.780 it and everyone knows that i'm not a singer but i think we should try to sing it because it'll be
00:55:20.120 funnier if we do that um so i want you to tell us the title of your it's not taylor slip but it
00:55:26.140 could be and then i need you to sing it for us okay i have to give some prefaces here though
00:55:32.220 okay um i you keep saying i can sing i think you're all gonna learn this is not very impressive
00:55:39.060 okay i didn't have a lot of time to cook on this melody so okay no we understand this is not
00:55:44.700 we're not judging we're not judging your your voice even though it is good if you were singing
00:55:50.620 a normal song it would be different yeah maybe um okay this song is called pre-season game
00:56:00.940 and i've only got six lines here so it's short but oh my gosh mine is so much longer
00:56:07.740 okay really okay yes well you said a stanza you said prepare a stanza i prepared a stanza
00:56:13.820 oh shoot i should have just done that
00:56:16.620 um and the concept of this song is that i have a football boyfriend okay okay i'm ready okay here
00:56:27.600 we go i know i can't believe we're about to sing
00:56:35.800 okay i'm ready okay i'm scared me too the town talk trash about who i should love
00:56:49.920 the biggest play was simply learning who to trust they bet on the defense but baby we won
00:56:57.820 right through the noise with an end zone plan 80 000 witnesses screaming your name
00:57:05.420 baby that was just the preseason game nice oh that's good uh i like that oh gosh okay my hands
00:57:15.760 are sweating oh my gosh i'm nervous that was good that was really good um okay i feel like
00:57:23.360 she's gonna take that this is you know how she is as you said in this era of like talking about
00:57:32.540 haters all the time yeah okay so that is where my theme comes from as well as like a little talk
00:57:39.780 singing okay um i can't i don't know if i can sing it i have to say it i don't even know the melody
00:57:49.120 i sang it to timothy earlier no i have to i sing it you have to sing it now i know but yours was
00:57:56.440 so much shorter than mine mine has like a bridge and everything okay but i just want everyone to
00:58:02.140 No, you're going to have to listen to this back a couple times to catch everything in it, okay?
00:58:08.140 Okay, ready?
00:58:09.840 Okay, I'm ready.
00:58:11.420 I'm ready.
00:58:12.140 I think I'm ready.
00:58:12.900 I'm nervous.
00:58:13.520 Okay, ready?
00:58:13.900 This is called lose or win, okay?
00:58:17.880 Lose or win, lose or win.
00:58:22.500 Okay, ready?
00:58:24.800 I can't.
00:58:26.180 Okay, bring the applause or maybe just pause a minute.
00:58:30.340 don't need your praise maybe don't hate i get it if i'm no good why do i wear two shoes
00:58:40.180 if i argue is it just a lose lose okay okay you wanted a lamb you got the goat instead
00:58:51.200 you wanted me out now i'm all in your head lambs can be silenced goats can get loud
00:58:59.960 haters hear me eat your heart out um uh okay i'm just still trying to catch this melody maybe
00:59:09.980 maybe i can try to solidify it died for your approval now i'm living 0.55
00:59:15.280 if i ignore you maybe that's a win-win
00:59:19.260 that's it do you love it it's so good so good um i asked timothy and he was like um i couldn't
00:59:31.080 listen to it because i can't get past how bad the melody is i'm like i can't help it i don't
00:59:38.840 i don't have the ability to write any um any music at all but i feel like there are a couple
00:59:47.200 lines in there that she would like for sure for sure there are there were some great lines in
00:59:54.340 there and I will say that some of her modern modern like recent melodies are um are very basic
01:00:01.520 it's just the production that's doing the heavy lifting so I thank you that's what I was channeling
01:00:05.900 I thought so too with that melody yep oh thank you so much um you wanted a lamb you got the goat
01:00:12.720 instead was probably like my favorite part of that so i could feel like i feel like she would
01:00:18.420 probably use that yeah she might um you might see that okay well um that's the end of our segment
01:00:27.160 brie i don't know if there's anything that we want to leave our audience with i hope that our
01:00:32.000 songs get stuck in their head we're gonna put this on instagram oh no it'll live on i know we're
01:00:41.620 going to see if it goes viral and if any of our lyrics pop up in her next song okay deal
01:00:48.120 okay um okay leave us with something brie leave us with a bit of wisdom or anything that we need
01:00:55.300 to know a bit of wisdom i don't know that i have any wisdom i'll just say on the taylor swift note
01:01:04.400 um there are some people who are being so mean to swifties on twitter and uh to the girls who
01:01:13.980 are just trying to enjoy music and i would say just let people enjoy things just let them enjoy
01:01:19.320 things if they like the songs let them you know that's all i have to say about that let them let
01:01:25.640 them um okay also you're going to be at share the arrows right i will be yes you'll be at share the
01:01:34.200 arrows so everyone come to share the arrows i know next week you'll see brie there she'll be
01:01:39.880 running around all right brie thanks so much for joining us for lifestyle pitter patter to 0.81
01:01:44.580 defend your girl taylor swift thanks for having me
01:01:48.560 all right guys that's all we got time for today we will see you back here on friday
01:02:04.200 We'll be right back.
