00:06:11.480 tell a little bit about why we started this app and like how all of this began. I told you that

00:06:17.920 this is different than anything I've ever done before. And it really is like, I never thought

00:06:23.340 that I would be in the tech space or creating an app, but I was speaking at a pro-life conference,

00:06:29.800 which I do a lot throughout the year. And it was in Washington, DC, January of 25. And I was

00:06:36.440 sitting on stage and I was, I had already done my keynote keynote speech. And then I was sitting

00:06:42.340 on a panel with some other speakers. And as one of the other speakers was talking, I just had an

00:06:46.960 idea come to my mind. And it was like a pro-life Christian pregnancy and period tracking app.

00:06:52.080 And it was probably because my husband and I were talking about maybe adding a fourth to our family.

00:14:23.040 it earlier. There was a time where we thought we would launch it several months before Share the

00:14:27.420 Arrows. And I was like, it's just not, it's not right yet. It's not there yet. I really, really

00:14:32.080 care about serving you well, about serving Christian women well. And I, it was really,

00:14:38.320 really important to us to get it to a place where it's doing just that. And we will continue to get

00:14:43.620 your feedback and improve and grow and all of these things. But I'm just so thankful for Anna

00:14:48.660 Kate and a little about the name Anna Kate, because you might be wondering where that comes

00:14:54.800 from or why we chose that. And I, I was thinking, I was wrestling in the beginning with like, okay,

00:15:01.500 what would we call this? This is one of the first things I did by the way, because this is where I,

00:15:06.180 this is where I shine. I like to think of names and, you know, marketing schemes and, and things

00:15:11.520 like that. I love marketing and PR and branding and creative and all of that. And so from the

00:15:16.220 very beginning, I was like, I need to give this name. I don't want to just call it the app.

00:15:19.440 And so I took out my Bible, I took out my journal, and I started thinking of the English words that

00:15:26.640 I wanted to describe this app. Peace, rest, rhythm, respite. Like what are those words in

00:15:35.020 scripture? Where do I see them show up in scripture? And what are the Hebrew and the

00:15:40.420 Greek equivalents? Like how do I say this in the original Greek or Hebrew in the Bible? And so

00:15:45.860 I did that and I came across a Greek word in Matthew 11, 28, and that is anapausis. It's a

00:15:55.440 little bit strange how you say it, anapausis. If you read it like in our English dialect,

00:16:00.480 we'd probably say anapausis. And what this means is rest. Matthew 11, 28 says, come to me,

00:16:07.720 all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. There are different kinds

00:16:14.040 of rest in scripture, but that rest is ina pausis. And there are different ways to define it,

00:16:21.460 but in general, it means that you are resting even while you are inwardly toiling. It is kind of like

00:16:27.960 an active kind of rest, a rest that we find in Christ. And then there's another kind of rest

00:16:34.940 that we see, for example, in the book of Hebrews, and that is katah pausis, or we would probably

00:16:40.940 say it if we just read it, katapasis. And that is also Greek for rest, but this is a ceasing from

00:16:47.920 striving. This is the kind of rest that we look forward to in heaven. One day in Christ, we aren't,

00:16:54.040 we aren't getting this rest. We don't have access to this kind of rest here today, but it is the

00:16:59.060 future rest that we get to look forward to. So we have an op house cease and catap house cease.

00:17:05.300 these are two different forms of rest, both of which are found in Christ. And when women go to 1.00

00:17:11.500 this app, I want them to feel just aesthetically peaceful. I want them to feel restful. When you 0.86

00:17:17.520 go to a lot of these tracking apps, it's really stressful. It's chaotic. Some of them are just

00:17:22.420 straight up ugly. It was really important to me that this was aesthetically pleasing and that it

00:17:26.540 was beautiful and peaceful. And then also that you would be reminded of these timeless truths

00:17:32.220 in God's word that give that inward rest and that remind us of the rest that we will have

00:17:38.700 one day when all of the cycles and the pain of childbirth and the striving to get pregnant,

00:17:44.300 all of those things will one day come to an end and a joyous end because there will be no more

00:17:50.680 anxiety. There will be no more of the stress and the endless toil that we are used to here in this

00:17:58.240 life, but there will be perfect peace and perfect rest as Jesus rules forever and ever. And so

00:22:26.420 pushing and the lives that they are ruining by really propagating all types of false and negative

00:22:36.160 messages to women, even Christian women. And let me read you a text that I got from one of my 0.88

00:22:42.180 friends. Now, this is a story from her. I'm not able to verify whether or not there is a connection

00:22:48.800 here, but I think it may be likely based on the content that this particular app is pushing. So

00:22:56.180 here's what my friend texted me. She said, I would love to try out your app. I was telling her about

00:23:00.720 it before it was launched. And she said, I used natural cycles for a couple of years. And when I

00:23:05.080 recorded that my last pregnancy was unexpected, suddenly I was getting ads for abortion centers

00:23:11.200 on Snapchat and other social media. She said, I've tried a few other apps. I haven't loved them.

00:23:17.620 Now I do not know if natural cycles is selling that kind of data to those entities that are then

00:23:24.180 selling that data to places like Planned Parenthood and abortion clinics to send you

00:23:28.920 advertisements? I don't know. I do know based on what natural cycles does say on their app that

00:23:35.900 they are pro abortion. So let me give you some examples of this because I know that this is an

00:23:42.120 app that a lot of you use and there are some good aspects of it because you like that it helps you

00:23:46.820 track your cycle. It's very sophisticated and it's charting and things like that. But here is what we

00:23:52.500 are supporting when we're using natural cycles. They have articles promoting abortion, directing

00:23:57.900 its users to plan parenthood for abortions and linking directly to their site. For example,

00:24:04.140 there's an article titled, what is abortion to access these methods? You may need to visit a

00:24:09.200 hospital or a clinic such as planned parenthood. Natural cycles has a description of abortion 0.81

00:24:15.180 in this article that it completely eliminates the unborn baby from the description. So it says

00:24:21.720 suction abortion is quote, a quick abortion procedure that involves a delicate suction

00:24:26.780 process that empties the uterus. This usually takes around five to 10 minutes, and you can

00:24:32.300 usually go home within a few hours of the procedure that mimics almost exactly what

00:24:37.200 Planned Parenthood says on its own website for dilation and evacuation. That's a DNA abortion. 1.00

00:24:44.320 Natural cycle says this type of in clinic abortion procedure uses suction medical tools to empty the 1.00

00:24:49.480 uterus, empty the uterus. Okay. Think about that. Think about what that is a euphemism for. 0.88

00:26:48.420 through the second trimester. This is a method that's typically used and how they talk about it

00:26:54.460 in linking to Planned Parenthood is completely and totally pro-abortion. I don't know the
