00:00:00.000 My argument is that both worldviews, the Muslim worldview and the Jewish worldview,
00:00:04.640 or the view of Jesus are equally wrong. We understand that both groups, when it comes 0.86
00:00:09.600 to Christ, are lost. This effort to me to try to say that we have more in common with the Muslims
00:00:15.240 than we do with the Jews because of their view of Jesus, it just doesn't hold water. They're both 1.00
00:00:20.180 wrong. Jesus is God and he died for our sins and rose again three days later. If you deny that,
00:00:24.720 you are completely and equally completely wrong.
00:00:30.000 hey guys welcome to relatable hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far all right let's
00:00:46.360 get into this controversial topic on today's maternity leave episode and that is the forming
00:00:52.900 possibly christian muslim alliance is it possible is it good there are some influential voices
00:00:59.920 especially on the right, who have started emphasizing kind of shared aspects of Islamic
00:01:05.820 and Christian faith. You'll remember, we talked about this at the time that Tucker Carlson and
00:01:11.920 his news network posted this on X. The people in charge, who is that? We're not totally sure,
00:01:18.460 but don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus. The network says Islam reveres him
00:01:24.140 as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes he performed miracles and states that
00:01:29.820 he will return to earth to defeat the Antichrist. So the emphasis there is actually on the not only
00:01:37.060 theological, but I would say foundational shared beliefs of Muslims and Jews. Now I have also seen,
00:01:44.560 and I didn't see this in the particular post from Tucker Carlson, but I've gotten messages
00:01:49.080 that express this sentiment that it's actually Muslims and Christians who share all of this
00:01:54.840 theology and not Christians and Jews. That's kind of the comparison being drawn here. Sometimes
00:02:01.100 it's implicit. Sometimes it's explicit. I'll hear things like, well, Muslims regard Jesus
00:02:07.580 as a prophet and they give him honor. But if you look at the Talmud, which is a collection of like 0.99
00:02:14.020 thousands of years of rabbinic teachings, um, they say, or one of the passages in the Talmud 0.98
00:02:21.180 says that Jesus is burning an excrement. And so why would we not want to ally with these Muslims 1.00
00:02:27.640 who clearly have a higher perspective of Jesus than the Jews do? And typically this is in the 0.96
00:02:34.860 context of people talking about Israel and America's alliance with Israel, and even
00:02:40.200 criticizing evangelicals for their alliance with the Jewish people. You've got a Catholic writer,
00:02:47.020 E. Michael Jones. He writes this, the Muslim Catholic Alliance is based on a sound foundation.
00:02:52.560 We worship the same God and we have a common enemy. Okay. Um, there is an influencer, Dan, 1.00
00:03:01.840 uh, bills, bills, Zarian. I think that's maybe how you pronounce his last name. He posted on
00:03:07.520 X. It's time the left and the right, the Christians and the Muslims come together
00:03:11.880 to defeat the Jewish supremacy that is plaguing the world. This is a very, very popular sentiment 0.99
00:03:18.740 right now. And you see similar kinds of things from people like Andrew Tate, who of course
00:03:24.320 converted to Islam not so long ago to spiritualize his objectification of women. Even some Muslim 0.96
00:03:32.880 scholars have pushed this kind of alliance. Ahmed El Tayyip is one of the most influential Sunni
00:03:37.800 Muslim scholars in the world. And in 2019, he issued a statement on Christian Muslim cooperation
00:03:42.860 called the document on human fraternity, which was signed jointly with Pope Francis. The document
00:03:48.600 calls for Muslims and Christians to quote, unite and work together to advance a culture of mutual
00:03:54.000 respect and human fraternity. And as we will talk about in a little bit, that is something that has
00:03:59.500 been carried on by the current Pope as well. So from my observation, this does seem to be an idea
00:04:06.560 that is very prominent among Catholics. Not all Catholics, but those who seem to be promoting this
00:04:12.580 idea, who identify as Christian, seem to be Catholic. And so is this an alliance that should
00:04:19.920 be forged? Is this something that is practical? Is it helpful? Is it theologically true? Is it
00:04:25.880 good? Is it biblical? So let's look at these. And we're actually going to go back several years
00:04:32.200 to see how this idea of an alliance between Christians and Muslims really started. And
00:04:39.380 ironically, interestingly, it actually starts days after 9-11. So you'll remember September 11th,
00:04:48.560 2001, there were a growing number of political leaders, pastors, theologians, Muslims, scholars,
00:04:54.860 that called for greater cooperation between Christians and Muslims, sharing a lot of the
00:05:00.780 sentiments that you just heard. Look, we've got similar moral commitments. There is a lot of
00:05:05.440 conservatism in Islam. Certainly they don't tolerate homosexuality, which is why it's such 1.00
00:05:11.420 a strange thing that progressives tend to support these Islamic figures and Islamic countries. It 1.00
00:05:19.300 really just goes back to, I believe, a hatred of God and hatred of Christ. That's my belief,
00:05:25.300 and sometimes a hatred of Israel as well. But it is true that there are some conservative values
00:05:30.180 that both Muslims and Christians hold. And then others have talked about, discussed the shared
00:05:36.200 Abrahamic heritage, arguing that both religions trace their roots back to Abraham. And then you'll
00:05:41.300 even hear people saying that we worship the same God. There are just some theological differences.
00:05:47.520 After September 11th specifically, George W. Bush repeatedly emphasized that the U.S. was not at war
00:05:53.100 with Islam and that Muslims could be allies against terrorism. On September 17th, 2001,
00:05:59.500 at the Islamic Center of Washington. He said that Islam is peace, he says, and that the acts of
00:06:07.060 terrorists violate the fundamental tenets of the Islamic faith. Now, this is something that we hear
00:06:13.660 very pervasively today. While it goes all the way back, the president of the United States
00:06:18.920 thought that it was really important only days after 9-11 to make sure that everyone knew that
00:06:24.860 Islam is synonymous with peace. Barack Obama frequently emphasized Islam and Christianity's
00:06:31.580 shared Abrahamic roots and morality in his 2016 speech at the Islamic Society of Baltimore. He
00:06:37.020 said, so often we focus on our outward differences and we forget how much we share. Christians, Jews,
00:06:42.040 Muslims, we're all under our faiths, descendants of Abraham. So mere tolerance of different
00:06:47.300 religions is not enough. Our faiths summon us to embrace our common humanity. Now, of course,
00:06:53.900 I believe in embracing a common humanity and that we are all made in God's image.
00:06:59.160 All people are endowed with certain inalienable rights, among them being life, liberty, the
00:07:02.900 pursuit of happiness, because every person, no matter their background, their nationality,
00:07:07.460 the color of their skin, or their religion is made in God's image, how I treat them,
00:07:11.620 how the law treats them really matters. And so we agree on that, that we have a shared humanity.
00:07:18.180 And because of that, I want to share the gospel with them as well. That's the most important
00:07:21.340 thing, but we'll get into more of that in a second. Some prominent pastors have also pushed
00:07:25.480 this idea. Anthony Campolo Jr., he was a Baptist pastor and spiritual advisor to President Bill
00:07:31.060 Clinton. In an interview, he heavily implied that Muslims, staying Muslim, could be saved.
00:07:36.580 There is so much goodness in the Islamic community. It can't be ignored. Those who
00:07:40.480 write off Islamic people are making a serious mistake. I don't think you have to compromise
00:07:44.240 as a Christian the belief that Jesus is the only savior. But what I do think we have to say is that
00:07:49.640 the grace of God extends way beyond the limitations of my religious group. Our Muslim
00:07:53.900 brothers and sisters can say Islam is the only true faith, but we are not convinced that only
00:07:58.280 Muslims enjoy salvation. I contend that there is no salvation apart from Jesus, but I am not 1.00
00:08:02.760 convinced that the grace of God does not go further than the Christian community. There's a lot of
00:08:08.280 contradictions within there. There's a lot of universalism. I had a religious professor in
00:08:13.120 college who essentially said the same thing, that God's love is too big not to extend beyond people
00:08:18.320 who accept Christ. And I'm like, oh my gosh, God's love is so big that he sent his own son to die for
00:08:22.920 us, that whoever believes in him, no matter your background, will not perish, but have eternal
00:08:27.120 life. But you have to believe in him. That's kind of the crux of Christianity. And if you didn't
00:08:32.040 have to believe in him, then why would he send his own son to suffer a death that he didn't have to
00:08:37.040 die? Anyway, the current Pope, Pope Leo, has also signaled support for a Christian-Muslim alliance,
00:08:42.840 saying that the West should be, quote, less fearful of Islam, according to Tablet Magazine,
00:08:48.360 and made a trip to sign the Golden Book in Algeria's great mosque. We can see that. We've 0.99
00:08:53.020 got a voiceover of Pope Leo doing so. He's made a lot of comments like this, made a lot of comments
00:08:59.780 about our commonality with Islam as Catholics, as professing Christians. While talking to the
00:09:07.360 rector at the mosque, he expressed gratitude for being in a place that represents the space proper
00:09:14.280 to God. Okay. So he's in a mosque saying this. And then in October, 2025, the Vatican opened a
00:09:20.160 prayer room for visiting Muslim scholars in the Vatican apostolic library, the 15th century
00:09:25.800 institution often regarded as the intellectual heart of the Catholic church and home to a vast
00:09:29.980 collection of religious and cultural manuscripts from all around the world. So specifically again,
00:09:34.760 designated a prayer room for Muslim scholars at the Vatican. So I think even beyond the question
00:09:43.180 of, can this happen? Can it happen that professing Christians, that these Christian denominations in
00:09:49.920 Islam have an alliance? It is something that has already formed among many.
00:09:59.560 Quick pause to tell you about our first sponsor, and that is Adele Natural Cosmetics. You guys
00:10:04.300 know how much I love Adele. I use their products every day. Both their cosmetic line and their
00:10:09.800 skincare line is just top-notch. I use their essential cleanser, their essential moisturizing
00:10:13.980 spray, which works for all kinds of things, by the way. It works for like body spray,
00:10:19.220 room fragrance. And I love that it's not synthetic, that I don't have to worry about it messing with
00:10:24.480 my endocrine system, messing with my health, causing allergic reactions because it is all
00:10:30.480 completely holistic. And this is also true of their makeup. I love their bronzing cream. It
00:10:36.000 goes on so smoothly and it gives really good coverage stays for a long time. But again,
00:10:40.840 it's totally moisturizing and all natural. I love that they're unapologetic about their faith in
00:10:47.160 Christ, unapologetic about being pro-life. Their tagline, beauty comes from the heart,
00:10:51.640 is inspired by 1 Peter 3, 3 through 4. And I just love that they wear that as their brand and as
00:10:57.480 their identity. Go to adelnaturalcosmetics.com, enter promo code Allie for 25% off your first

00:11:14.760 we went back to 2001 and we kind of did a rushed history. There's so much that we could look at for
00:11:20.760 how many voices have kind of pushed for this Islamic and Christian alliance despite the 0.51
00:11:26.560 terrorism and the persecution specifically against Christians by Muslim terrorists and
00:11:32.360 in Muslim majority countries. But I want to go back even further. I want to go back in history 0.95
00:11:38.260 and I want to look at Islamic conquest. And I want to examine whether Christians and Muslims 0.89
00:11:46.340 throughout history have ever held a successful alliance. How has it been when we've tried this
00:11:52.240 in the past? Have Christians and Muslims been able to live together peacefully with each group
00:11:58.340 having the fullness of rights? So let's go back to the seventh and eighth centuries. Algiers was 1.00
00:12:04.880 Christian for centuries. It produced important figures such as Augustine, one of the church
00:12:09.680 fathers, both Catholics and Protestants really appreciate and still cite Augustine. It was
00:12:15.640 conquered by Islam in the seventh and eighth centuries as part of the Arab Islamic expansion
00:12:19.840 in North Africa. And then if we fast forward to the 1500s and onward, the Barbary Corsairs 0.96
00:12:25.060 and Algiers functioned as state-sanctioned pirates who would raid European coasts and
00:12:29.340 capture Christians to be ransomed or sold into slavery. It's estimated that the Barbary slave
00:12:34.260 trade captured over a million European Christians. And these Muslims framed this enslavement as part 0.96
00:12:39.620 of a jihad against Christians. Okay, this is recorded history. This is not just Ali's rendering 0.81
00:12:44.520 of history. This is not just a Christian perspective on history. This is something
00:12:48.580 that actually happened. Also, you should look into the Barbary slave trade, this idea that the
00:12:54.140 transatlantic slave trade that America, uh, that America participated in was the first example of
00:13:00.980 slavery that only Christian white people have been a part of slavery is just absolutely untrue.
00:13:07.180 Every single group, every single race in the world has been enslaved or has been the enslaver. Okay.
00:13:14.580 every single group. And so this idea, this modern idea that we have, that white people are always 0.57
00:13:20.360 on the side of the oppressor and that black and brown people are always on the side of the
00:13:24.800 oppressed. It is just a historical nonsense. Okay. Muslims dominated the slave trade for 0.99
00:13:30.960 centuries and Christians, European Christians were the primary target. And then there was 0.97
00:13:36.920 the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople going back a little bit in history, 1453 ended in the fall
00:13:43.320 of Constantinople transformed Christianity's most important cities into the capital. One of
00:13:49.240 the most important cities into the capital of an Islamic state. And then under the Islamic Ottoman 0.99
00:13:54.040 empire, Christians were persecuted, killed for centuries. One of the most egregious examples
00:13:59.000 is the Armenian genocide where the Ottoman empire killed an estimated 600,000 to 1.2
00:14:05.380 million Armenian Christians from 1915 to 1916. So a lot more recent. And so whenever you hear
00:14:13.080 about the Christian crusades and conquests, like just understand that this is in the context of
00:14:19.600 centuries of persecution and rape and pillaging and conquest by Muslims toward Christians. Like 0.51
00:14:27.540 you'll remember I had Raymond Ibrahim on, and he wrote a historical book about the sword and
00:14:32.480 the scimitar. And he argues, and he grew up in, um, in Islamic country. And he argues that how
00:14:40.200 we look at the conflict between Muslims and Christians as, you know, Muslims being the
00:14:46.380 victims is just a historical, it's just not actually true. While the era of the Ottoman
00:14:53.400 expansion eventually faded, religiously motivated violence carried out in the name of Islam did not
00:14:59.120 disappear throughout the modern period. Conflicts involving Muslim powers, Christian populations
00:15:03.820 continued in various forms, such as contemporary jihadist movements like Al Qaeda and ISIS. Those
00:15:09.340 are just two of many, many, many Islamic inspired, uh, groups that commit acts of terrorism. So if 0.91
00:15:17.680 we look at the acts of terrorism that are currently being perpetrated, the vast majority of them are 0.99
00:15:24.040 being perpetrated by groups who identify as Muslim. Muslims are committing more terrorist 0.99
00:15:28.660 attacks than any other group by far. This is according to the global terrorism index. According 0.98
00:15:34.400 to recent global terrorism index reports, Islamist extremist organizations remain responsible
00:15:39.260 for the majority of terrorism deaths worldwide, groups like ISIS, Boko Haram, Al-Qaeda, and their
00:15:45.380 affiliates have consistently ranked among the world's deadliest terrorist organizations.
00:15:50.280 Like when you see those awful pictures, those awful depictions of children and women in the
00:15:56.220 Sudan, in Nigeria, crying and being terrorized by these men with guns. Usually those are Christians. 1.00
00:16:04.180 sometimes they're also Muslims, but usually they are Christians, innocent people being terrorized 0.91
00:16:09.820 by Islamic regimes in those nations. Okay. There are not countries that exist today that have a 0.93
00:16:17.880 Christian majority that are persecuting Muslims. Okay. That's not something that's happening.
00:16:23.360 That's not something that has existed for a long time. I mean, if by persecution, you mean that
00:16:28.540 there were some Christians who were afraid of Muslims or that there was intense scrutiny of
00:16:34.960 Islam after 9-11, that doesn't count. That's just people using their brains and exercising
00:16:40.880 some critical thinking and wondering, okay, what is a part of this ideology that is driving them
00:16:46.120 to so much violence consistently worldwide? Why can their nation seem to never be able to get
00:16:52.040 it together for the most part? So if we look at some of the biggest Islamic terror attacks, 0.95
00:16:57.460 how it's affected Christians, how it's affected all different kinds of people. We can go back to
00:17:02.120 September 11th, 2001, Sunni Muslims crashed hijacked planes and flew them into the Twin 0.98
00:17:08.380 Towers and the Pentagon. Almost 3,000 Americans were killed. More than 6,000 were wounded. 0.94
00:17:14.720 If we look at June 12th, 2014, ISIS militants massacred more than 1,700 Shia Iraqis while
00:17:21.740 trying to establish an Islamic state. Um, and then in 2014, Boko Haram, you probably remember
00:17:28.120 this. I was in college at the time, just absolutely disturbing Boko Haram militants
00:17:32.380 abducted 276, mostly Christian school girls in Nigeria. Many girls faced forced conversion to
00:17:39.080 Islam, marriage to Muslim fighters or abuse over 80 today remain missing or unaccounted for.
00:17:45.460 think about the conflict that has existed there the terror the horror the abuse the exploitation 0.61
00:17:52.440 that has existed somewhere like nigeria non-stop for so many years just imagine that and it is 0.71
00:18:00.540 because of islam it's not because of israel it's not because of christianity it's not because of
00:18:07.900 secularism although i of course have major theological disagreements with every other
00:18:13.600 worldview than Christianity, but we should call it like we see it. This is because of Islam.
00:18:19.480 Nigeria subsequently has faced more Islamic attacks from Fulani militants in 2023. Attackers 1.00
00:18:25.440 killed an estimated 295 people on Christmas and wounded hundreds more. These attacks on
00:18:31.180 Christian holy days have continued as we've covered on the show with 30 Christians being killed on
00:18:36.620 Palm Sunday just this year. And October 7th, 2023, of course, we remember Hamas slaughtered 0.85
00:18:43.440 up to 1,200 innocent civilians in Israel, wounding more than 3,400 and taking approximately
00:18:49.860 215 hostages. Among those hostages, babies, children. We've seen what those hostages have
00:18:56.940 looked like, absolutely emaciated, obviously tortured and disturbed. We've seen videos of
00:19:03.600 that day of women being raped, their genitals mutilated before they were slaughtered. Remember, 0.99
00:19:11.060 they paraglided into this music festival. And so it's just stunning to me when people are like,
00:19:16.160 oh, I have no idea why there would be any retaliation whatsoever. I mean, if that were
00:19:22.560 us, if that were the United States that had been attacked like that, there would be no Gaza, 0.94
00:19:27.220 like it wouldn't exist. And so for many countries, if they had been attacked that way, 0.83
00:19:34.700 the enemy that carried out that attack would be completely annihilated in a matter of days. 1.00
00:19:40.180 So we have seen a lot of just horrific persecution and horrific slaughter coming from these Islamic 1.00
00:19:50.220 countries. Is it only Islamic countries that are committing these attacks? Are other countries 1.00
00:19:55.700 also guilty of war crimes, guilty of inhumane actions? Absolutely. There are all different
00:20:02.800 kinds of worldviews that justify all different kinds of cruelty. There are individuals who have
00:20:08.140 claim to be Christians who, despite the theology of peace and joy and love that we have, uh, from
00:20:14.840 Jesus himself have acted in a way that is cruel and evil and wicked and abusive and all of those 0.97
00:20:20.200 things. But obviously Islam as an ideology, just from the volume of victims that we have from 1.00
00:20:26.840 their, from their persecution, from their attacks, we've got a problem. We've got a problem with what 1.00
00:20:32.540 Islam actually teaches and believes. I mean, this year alone, Islamist linked violence included a 1.00
00:20:37.880 mass shooting at a bar in Austin, Texas that left four dead, 15 wounded, an attack at Old
00:20:42.880 Dominion University in Virginia that killed one person and injured two others and attempted ISIS
00:20:47.300 inspired bombing outside New York City Mayor Mamdani's residence. Okay. So this is not something
00:20:54.100 that just happened 20 years ago and is over. This is not something that happens every now and then.
00:20:58.160 This is something that is happening on at least a monthly basis everywhere in the world and here
00:21:04.260 in America multiple times a year. If you grew up going to church, then you probably remember
00:21:14.400 making those shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Now is that time of year again where you
00:21:20.700 and now maybe your kids have the opportunity to fill a shoebox for a child around the world who
00:21:26.340 has never gotten to experience this generosity, the joy of Christmas. For us, it might seem small
00:21:32.300 to send a child around the world, maybe in South America or Africa or somewhere in Asia,
00:21:38.460 some socks, some colored pencils, a coloring book, a small toy. But to them, this is everything.
00:21:46.460 This is a source of joy and gratitude for them all year long. I actually have a friend who is
00:21:52.680 from Africa who said that she has seen these children in these countries actually open up
00:21:58.060 these gifts and how much it means to them and how it is an entryway for the people at Samaritan's
00:22:05.080 Purse who do Operation Christmas Child to get to share the gospel and the love of Christ with them.
00:22:10.360 And it's so easy for us to be able to participate that and to teach our kids that we serve other
00:22:15.980 people in this way. And all you have to do, it's really easy, just go to samaritanspurse.org
00:22:22.720 slash OCC. And then you can learn how to pack a shoe box or build one online. National Collection
00:22:29.060 Week is November 16th through 23rd. Nearly 5,000 drop-off locations across the country exist. So it
00:22:37.080 could be at your church. It could be at a local pregnancy center. There are lots of places that
00:22:41.260 collect these boxes. Your church might even be a part of this already. So go to samaritanspurse.org
00:22:47.280 slash OCC. Find out how you can contribute samaritanspurse.org slash OCC.
00:22:58.420 So what does it look like, not just here, but abroad? Is there a place where things are good
00:23:04.220 because of Sharia law? Well, we have to look at Sharia law. Conversion to Christianity is 0.93
00:23:08.920 considered apostasy under Sharia law, punishable by death. Currently, over 10 Muslim-majority
00:23:14.660 countries have laws allowing the death penalty for apostasy under sharia influenced codes um
00:23:20.900 contrary to the idea that christians and muslims can ally afghanistan and saudi arabia two countries
00:23:25.940 with tens of millions of people have zero public christian churches because of their adherence to
00:23:31.180 sharia law there are christians there there are christians in afghanistan we have talked to people
00:23:36.320 who are in contact with christians in iran christian in afghanistan saudi arabia uh saudi
00:23:41.080 Arabia, all across the Middle East. And yet the public witness, the public worship of Christians 0.51
00:23:48.700 in these places are basically non-existent because of the threat to their lives. Out of the top 10 0.78
00:23:54.200 worst Christian countries on the open doors watch list for Christian persecution, seven on the list
00:24:00.340 are Muslim-majority countries. Seven are on the list because of Islamic persecution.
00:24:05.060 culturally and politically it just doesn't seem like it is possible for muslims and christians
00:24:13.300 to ally the only place this is possible and there's two episodes that i'm thinking of that
00:24:17.680 again you got to go back and watch that give me this thought one raymond ibrahim my conversation
00:24:23.420 with him 100 go watch that and then i also had a conversation um with the head of a missionary
00:24:29.100 organization that does a lot of work in Nigeria. And one thing that Raymond said is that there are
00:24:38.580 two different kind of worlds in which Muslims occupy. There's Medina and Mecca. And one is
00:24:44.380 where Muslims are in the majority and one is where Muslims are in the minority. And when Muslims are 0.99
00:24:49.260 in the minority, their behavior is different. It's much more tolerant. It's much more inclusive.
00:24:55.460 it's much more Western, it's much more peaceful. But when Muslims are in the majority, 1.00
00:25:01.840 they realize that their responsibility is jihad. Their responsibility is to make as many Muslims 1.00
00:25:08.340 as possible and to carry out what their theology tells them to carry out, which is the elimination 1.00
00:25:13.980 of Christians and Jews. Domination is the goal of Islam. Now, Christians also want everyone to 1.00
00:25:21.120 become Christian. But our call from Jesus is to go and make disciples of all nations. It's not to
00:25:26.800 kill the infidel. It's not to conquer nations, but to make disciples of all nations, baptizing 0.85
00:25:32.280 them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. That is a very different tactic
00:25:37.100 than what we see from Islam, who also wants everyone to become Muslim, but by any means 0.93
00:25:42.900 possible. And so that's why we see these disparate outcomes when it comes to Christian-dominated 0.59
00:25:47.940 countries and Muslim dominated countries. Now people will bring up Qatar. They'll bring up,
00:25:54.640 um, a variety of nations that actually have managed to be stable for the most part where
00:26:00.960 people are able to make money. But even in those places, men and women don't have the same rights. 0.53
00:26:07.420 You don't see the same rights or the same exercise of religious faith between, uh,
00:26:13.440 Christians and Jews and Muslims, for example. So yes, more peaceful, certainly than places like
00:26:19.440 Afghanistan. And they have adopted a level of secular tolerance in those countries that has
00:26:24.380 made that possible and a level of capitalism that has made prosperity possible. But that doesn't
00:26:30.600 take away from what the core of Islam is actually teaches and of course inspires. So let's look at
00:26:38.180 theology. Is it true that, okay, yeah, maybe you got some terrorism over there, but Christians and
00:26:43.700 Jews, we basically believe the same things about Jesus. And therefore that's what makes this
00:26:49.040 partnership possible. As I said at the beginning, you'll see people say Muslims love Jesus. They
00:26:56.380 revere him as a major prophet, unlike the Jews. Let's look at the Quran and let's see what the 1.00
00:27:02.460 Quran actually says about Jesus. So the Quran says, and for boasting, we killed the Messiah,
00:27:07.360 Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of Allah, but they neither killed nor crucified him. 0.61
00:27:12.760 It was only made to appear. So even those who argue for this crucifixion are in doubt. They
00:27:18.020 have no knowledge whatsoever, only making assumptions. They certainly did not kill
00:27:21.280 him. Rather, Allah raised him up to himself and Allah is almighty, all wise. So one thing that
00:27:27.700 Islam denies is that a God could die. So they deny the crucifixion because they believe that 1.00
00:27:34.000 a crucifixion or death at all is exclusive to a mortal. So they deny that God was fully,
00:27:41.460 or that Jesus was fully man, fully God, that his humanity or his body could have died. And of
00:27:48.160 course they deny the resurrection core tenets of Christianity. The Christian view of course is
00:27:54.540 this. Paul writes this to the Corinthian church. He says, for I delivered to you as a first
00:27:59.620 importance, first importance. What I also received that Christ died for our sins in accordance with
00:28:05.040 the scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the
00:28:09.680 scriptures and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the 12th. Okay. That's first Corinthians 15,
00:28:14.960 three through five. That's a huge distinction because Jesus, it is not possible within
00:28:20.600 Christian theology for Jesus to have been just a prophet. If he was a prophet, he wasn't a prophet
00:28:28.080 from God because he was wrong. I mean, he predicted his own death. He predicted that he was going to
00:28:34.100 be risen again, um, that he was going to rise again. And so he was really just a liar and he 0.97
00:28:41.720 was really just a bad guy. He was really just a trickster. Like he couldn't have been a good 1.00
00:28:46.500 teacher. He couldn't have been a good guy. He couldn't have just been a rabbi. He couldn't
00:28:50.640 have just been a prophet because he said all of these things about himself. Like I and the father
00:28:55.260 are one, that I am the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except
00:29:01.180 through me, John 14, 6. He said all of these things that would have been considered blasphemous
00:29:06.720 and a prophet of God would not have said. We know that because we have the prophets of God
00:29:11.180 in the Old Testament, and they didn't say any of those things. They prophesied of the coming of
00:29:16.100 Christ and his life and death and resurrection fulfill those prophecies that we see throughout
00:29:19.860 the Old Testament, like Isaiah 53. And so, no, these ideas are totally incompatible. Now, is it
00:29:26.420 also true that Jews deny the divinity of Christ? Yes, they deny the divinity of Christ. They deny 1.00
00:29:32.480 the resurrection, all of that. So my argument is that both worldviews, the Muslim worldview and
00:29:38.100 the Jewish worldview, or the view of Jesus are equally wrong. It really doesn't matter to me 0.59
00:29:43.960 where these two groups think Jesus ended up or what so-called honor they give to Jesus. 0.74
00:29:51.260 You would understand from a Jewish perspective who is not a Christian why they wouldn't love 0.62
00:29:57.840 the idea that a Jewish guy claimed to be God, the way the Pharisees and the Sadducees also
00:30:03.780 didn't like that idea. But of course, we read in 1 Corinthians 1 that Greeks seek wisdom,
00:30:10.040 jews seek signs but i preach christ crucified and so we understand that both groups when it comes
00:30:16.200 to christ are lost and so this effort to me to try to say that we have more in common with the 0.99
00:30:22.360 muslims than we do with the jews because of their view of jesus it just doesn't hold water they're 0.98
00:30:27.620 both wrong jesus is god and he died for our sins and rose again three days later if you deny that 0.97
00:30:32.460 you are completely and equally completely wrong islam teaches that anyone who believes in jesus's 0.81
00:30:38.980 divinity and sonship will go to hell forever. Whoops. Whoops. Oops. The Quran says those who 0.94
00:30:45.520 say Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary, have certainly fallen into disbelief. The Messiah 0.72
00:30:50.400 himself said, oh, children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Okay. Uh, whoever
00:30:56.420 associates others with the law and worship will surely be forbidden paradise by Allah. Their home
00:31:01.840 will be the fire and the wrongdoers will have no helpers. Oh, I don't think I have that much in
00:31:07.220 common with that ideology. Similarly, Seurat 573 calls a disbelief to say Allah is a third of
00:31:14.480 three. And so, of course, they don't believe in the triune God either. Christ divinity, of course,
00:31:19.420 according to the Christian view and sonship are the vehicles through which we are saved. In his
00:31:23.660 letter to the Colossians, Paul explains of Christ. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn
00:31:29.260 of all creation. For by him, all things were made in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,
00:31:34.340 whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created through
00:31:38.080 him and for him for in him, all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell and through him to
00:31:42.480 reconcile to himself, all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood
00:31:47.880 of his cross. Islam teaches that Jesus will return. Okay. So that Tucker Carlson post at
00:31:53.480 the beginning was partly correct. That Jesus will return fight for the cause of Islam, 0.99
00:31:58.280 break the cross, and then a law will slaughter Christians and all who refuse Islam. 0.97
00:32:03.940 Ooh, Tucker left that part out of his post. So the prophet said this, this is book 38 Hadith 0.94
00:32:11.700 4310. Um, there is no prophet between me and him. That is Jesus. He will descend to the earth.
00:32:19.560 When you see him recognize him, a man of medium height, reddish fair. Okay. Wearing two light
00:32:25.800 yellow garments, looking at as if drops were falling down from his head, though it will not
00:32:31.260 be wet. He will fight the people for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine,
00:32:37.060 and abolish, uh, Jizia, um, Allah will perish all religions except Islam. So that is who they 1.00
00:32:45.480 believe Jesus is. Okay. So I don't see how it's so much better. First of all, the Talmud, I don't
00:32:52.360 think even I've heard Jewish people talk about the Talmud, that it is not like the Jewish Bible.
00:32:58.820 It's not like binding authoritative teaching. It is the, it's lots of views from different
00:33:03.980 rabbis over the centuries. Um, but I don't see a better view in the, um, in what Muslims believe
00:33:13.880 versus what the Talmud teaches about Jesus. Like Muslims think that Jesus is coming back to kill 0.98
00:33:20.060 Christians. Okay. Like they believe that he's coming back to slaughter us. And if we believe 1.00
00:33:24.980 that he is the Messiah, then we're going to hell. I don't see how that is better than what Jewish 1.00
00:33:30.900 non-Christians believe about Jesus. How is that better? Like it's, it's just not. According to 1.00
00:33:37.340 the Quran, God never begets Jesus. Of course, John 3, 16 tells us that he does. Surah 1, 12, 3, 0.92
00:33:43.560 he neither begets nor is born. John 3, 16 forgot to love the world that he gave his only son. Some
00:33:50.820 versions say only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have
00:33:55.800 eternal life. There are other huge theological differences. Islam denies the Trinity, um,
00:34:03.000 rejects the sonship of Christ, rejects the Trinity altogether. Um, the Messiah, Jesus, 0.99
00:34:08.180 son of Mary was no more than a messenger of Allah. So believe in Allah and his messengers and do not 0.99
00:34:13.820 say, Trinity, stop, for your own good. Dr. Derek Thomas of Ligonier Ministries illustrates that
00:34:21.440 Muslims deny the Trinity, which denies a Christian interpretation of God. Stop one. 1.00
00:34:26.420 I don't think that you can separate the doctrine of the Trinity from your definition of God.
00:34:31.780 God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. So God is, and let's take one of those, God is Christ.
00:34:39.060 So, the answer is, does Islam worship Christ as God? 1.00
00:34:43.940 The answer is, no, it does not. 0.96
00:34:46.120 So the answer is, no, we don't worship the same God, only if you can somehow argue that
00:34:52.100 there is a generic God that everybody worships, and then there's a Christian God.
00:34:57.460 But that's a slippery slide to pluralism, but it's not an argument that makes any sense
00:35:04.680 within the uniqueness of Christianity
00:35:07.820 and the specific claim of Christianity
00:35:10.760 that there is only one God.
00:35:13.060 So the answer is no. 0.93
00:35:15.580 Yeah, I totally agree with that.
00:35:17.420 And I hadn't seen that clip until recently.
00:35:20.540 But when there was a debate about this on X,
00:35:24.180 maybe a few years ago,
00:35:25.880 there were statements being like,
00:35:27.520 well, Jews, Muslims, and Christians
00:35:28.680 all worship the same God. 0.89
00:35:29.740 And I'm like, well, we worship the triune God,
00:35:31.380 Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
00:35:32.180 They can't be separated.
00:35:33.040 and so it's not true we actually don't worship the same god um it's not explicitly stated in
00:35:38.920 the quran but its earliest commentators believe that the holy spirit is gabriel a belief that's
00:35:43.940 widely expected in islam so totally different view christianity teaches that if we reject the
00:35:50.180 father the son we're rejecting god himself first john 223 no one who denies the son has the father
00:35:55.700 whoever confesses the son has the father also um in islam god does not relate to us as a father
00:36:02.840 and that is probably obvious from how muslims talk about god and how they interact with god and how 0.65
00:36:08.220 they talk about paradise it says in the quran the jews and the christians each say we are the
00:36:12.960 children of allah and his most beloved say oh prophet why then does he punish you for your sins 0.53
00:36:17.900 no you are only humans like others of his own making he forgives whoever he wills and punishes
00:36:22.380 whoever he wills to allah alone belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and everything in
00:36:27.360 between and to him is the final return. Now you just, you see something that is so similar to a 0.58
00:36:33.920 Christian passage that comes to mind in the Bible. He forgives whoever he wills. He punishes whoever
00:36:38.460 he wills. That is basically from Romans nine. And to me, I'm just thinking of how Satan works.
00:36:44.620 Satan typically doesn't give a whole lie. He gives part of the truth. If we look at the garden of
00:36:48.780 Eden, did God really say, he didn't say God doesn't exist to Eve. Eve knew that God existed.
00:36:55.200 She had walked in the cool of the day with him, but instead he gave a little bit of a lie just
00:37:00.240 to break down her trust and then to, you know, convince her to sin and the rest is history.
00:37:05.980 But also we see that when Jesus is led into isolation and he's tempted, what does Satan
00:37:11.140 use? He uses the Bible. He quotes the word of God to the word of God in order to try to tempt him
00:37:18.000 into, um, worshiping Satan. And so I just see that so much here that it's close, but it is
00:37:25.920 different enough to be a complete and total lie that has led to so much destruction. That's how
00:37:30.420 Satan works. The Christian view Romans 8, 15 for you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall
00:37:35.420 back into fear, but you have received the spirit of adoption as sons by whom we cry, Abba father
00:37:41.700 and Matthew six, nine, Jesus commands us to pray starting our father who art in heaven, hallowed
00:37:47.580 be thy name. I am so grateful for Jevity and having a very clear picture of my health before
00:38:00.020 I got pregnant. I was able to look at all of these different health markers, a hundred different
00:38:04.980 health markers in my body to see what I needed more of. It really was so easy. They send a
00:38:10.580 phlebotomist right to you, to your home, to your office. For us, it was the studio.
00:38:14.360 chiefer later bro and i got our blood drawn by a very sweet phlebotomist the vials were shipped
00:38:20.120 off they were tested i got results in my app days later super quickly and then also a doctor who
00:38:27.240 looked over all of my health results left me a 30 minute video analysis on my profile that i was
00:38:33.140 able to listen to and if i had had more questions i could reach out to them they give recommendations
00:38:37.820 these doctors of different diet choices exercise choices that are best for you based on your
00:38:44.320 results, also different supplements that you need more of, less of. I was so thankful to have
00:38:51.700 answers to a lot of the questions that I had about why I'm feeling a certain way and how I can feel
00:38:56.060 better. Unfortunately, we typically can't trust our doctor to give us this kind of comprehensive
00:39:01.080 look. You really have to take health in your own hands. Javity makes that really easy. Go to
00:39:05.920 gojavity.com slash Allie. Use code Allie for 20% off. That's G-O-G-E-V-I-T-I.com slash Allie.
00:39:19.720 Is Allah the God of Abraham? It's a big question. This is something that you hear. We're all 1.00
00:39:25.260 Abrahamic religions. And in a sense, it's true because all claim lineage, Jews, Christians,
00:39:31.140 Muslims through Abraham. Uh, but while Islam claims this lineage, it does not preserve Abraham's 0.96
00:39:36.200 beliefs or God's covenant with Abraham. We can actually see the connection between the Jews and 0.77
00:39:42.980 Abraham. We can see the, uh, descendancy from Abraham. We can see the connection. We share
00:39:51.440 half of the Bible. We don't look at the Bible the same way Christians and Jews, but we share half
00:39:56.300 the Bible with the Jewish people. Abraham was Jewish. Abraham was a part of Israel. And so you
00:40:04.000 can see the connection. Abraham was the first Hebrew patriarch in the Old Testament. God made
00:40:09.140 a covenant with him, promising land to his descendants. Those descendants are Jews. The 1.00
00:40:14.320 Jews trace their lineage through his son, Isaac. In contrast, Islam's claim is that it restores 1.00
00:40:20.220 the Abrahamic religion. Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, they claim, but he was a true 0.98
00:40:25.320 muslim submitter to god and he was not one of the polytheists jews also were not polytheists they
00:40:32.260 would probably claim that we are polytheists because we believe in father son holy spirit
00:40:35.600 but that's in the quran muslims trace their lineage through ishmael the son of abraham's 1.00
00:40:41.260 made hagar see what problem sir you see creates y'all oh this this mo wives mo problems abraham 0.87
00:40:49.160 never should have done this sarah always should have trusted god but because they didn't trust 0.80
00:40:53.880 God, they used Hagar to make sure that Abraham could have a child, have a son. They had Ishmael, 0.96
00:40:59.080 lots and lots of problems since then. God has promised Abraham numerous descendants,
00:41:03.260 but he sees no way this will be possible. He has a child with Hagar, Genesis chapter 16.
00:41:08.380 God's displeased with this. He says that Abraham's line will come through a son that he will have
00:41:12.280 with Sarah specifically, and the son shall be named Isaac. God said, no, but Sarah, your wife 0.67
00:41:17.540 shall bear you a son and you shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as
00:41:22.180 an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him. As for Ishmael, I have heard you, but I will
00:41:26.940 establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this time next year. And then of
00:41:34.020 course, um, that is exactly what happened. And Isaac, I believe means laughs or he laughs because
00:41:40.360 Sarah laughs when she hears the news that she's going to be 99 years old and having a son, but
00:41:44.820 with God, all things are, are possible. Um, Islam's answer to this, um, chronicling in Genesis,
00:41:54.300 the way the Bible renders it is that, um, they try to change the narrative. They claim that the 0.96
00:41:59.940 Bible was wrong, but this argument doesn't actually hold up. When we look at the history
00:42:04.540 of the Quran, the Quran of course comes long after the Bible and the Bible is verified by
00:42:10.200 external sources. So the Quran originated in the 7th century in Arabia through alleged revelations
00:42:17.840 to Muhammad many centuries after the events recorded in the Bible. However, the context
00:42:22.240 of Muhammad's life suggests that these revelations didn't emerge just out of nowhere. Muhammad first
00:42:28.600 lived in Mecca, where there were trade caravans and accounts show early awareness of biblical
00:42:34.060 monotheism. And then later, Muhammad lived in Medina, where large Jewish tribes lived,
00:42:39.900 increasing his exposure to the stories of the Hebrew scriptures. So, and this is another
00:42:45.480 conversation that I had with Sharik. He's an ex-Muslim. He talks a lot about if you compare 1.00
00:42:50.620 the Old Testament with the Quran, and you really have to study both of these really well, 1.00
00:42:54.580 he believes that that is actually the best way to disprove the truth of Islam to a Muslim because 0.89
00:43:01.100 he believes that Muhammad was inspired by the Old Testament and took bits and pieces of the Old 0.87
00:43:07.800 Testament in creating the Quran. Makes sense. Because of this background, many of the themes 0.99
00:43:12.780 that are found in the Quran appear familiar to the Old and the New Testaments, but the Quran
00:43:16.540 often presents these stories in ways that differ from biblical accounts. So remember,
00:43:21.960 if we're talking 7th century, not only is it after Judaism, it is well after Christianity as well.
00:43:27.560 And so he had heard the story of Jesus, he had heard about the Messiah, he had heard about all
00:43:33.200 of these different things. It would be a lot more impressive if he were writing these things before
00:43:37.980 or outside of the establishment of these religions. But Christianity had been around a long time,
00:43:43.540 centuries. At that point, Judaism had been around for millennia. So when we're talking about, oh, 0.76
00:43:48.600 this passage sounds a lot like the Bible, that's not a coincidence. He had heard these biblical
00:43:53.380 arguments before. Interestingly, if you look at the earliest generations of Muslim thinkers,
00:43:59.060 they didn't immediately respond to the contradictions by claiming the Bible itself had
00:44:02.800 been corrupted. That was later, as we talked about with Sharik. It was only after many
00:44:07.660 contradictions between the Bible, the Old Testament, and the Quran became apparent over
00:44:11.780 the centuries that Islamic scholars turned to arguments that the Bible was corrupted as an
00:44:16.120 attempt to fix these theological problems. So you have Muslim scholars like Muqatil ibn Suleyman,
00:44:23.380 I think that's how you pronounce it, in the 8th century, and Ibn Hazem, 11th century,
00:44:28.780 they argued more explicitly that the existing biblical manuscripts had been altered. I really
00:44:34.580 encourage you, Muslim, Jew, Christian, go to the museum of the Bible, and you can see how these
00:44:39.960 manuscripts were translated and passed down so carefully. And really, the only explanation is
00:44:44.620 the power of the Holy Spirit, because it's so incredible and so exact. This explanation of the
00:44:49.300 Hebrew and Christian scriptures, however, of them being corrupted. It helped Muslim scholars in these 1.00
00:44:54.220 early centuries resolve the contradictions between these texts and Muhammad's claims.
00:44:58.400 But the claim runs into a big historical problem is that we possess extensive manuscript evidence
00:45:03.760 of the Bible that predates Islam by centuries. These manuscripts show remarkable consistency
00:45:09.460 over time. Again, go to the Museum of the Bible. The Dead Sea Scrolls, for example, date from 200
00:45:15.480 B.C. to 70 A.D. They contain large portions of the Old Testament. So when compared to later
00:45:20.100 manuscripts, they're remarkably consistent. Similarly, early fragments like the Ryland's
00:45:24.860 P.52, a fragment of the Gospel of John, date to around 125 A.D. demonstrating the New Testament
00:45:32.120 was already in circulation in a stable form, very close to the time that it was written.
00:45:37.680 By the 4th century, we have nearly complete biblical manuscripts such as the Codex Sinaiticus
00:45:42.900 and Codex Vaticanus. Again, these manuscripts confirm that the Bible that we have today is
00:45:47.920 the same as the one that existed hundreds of years before, Islam. And Islam will claim that 0.99
00:45:54.100 there are differences in the renderings of Moses or Abraham or these stories. It's all because of 1.00
00:46:01.780 some kind of corruption that went on, but the specifics there are very murky considering,
00:46:06.940 again, the Quran was inspired from these texts. The timeline creates this really big problem for
00:46:13.840 the Islamic claim of biblical corruption. Islam doesn't emerge until the 7th century. The argument 0.84
00:46:17.780 that the Bible was altered appears even later, yet the manuscript evidence shows the Bible was
00:46:22.380 already well-established before either of these developments. It's clear that Islam matches the 0.95
00:46:27.360 pattern of other fake religions. You'll see like Mormonism, for example, it's very similar in that 1.00
00:46:34.320 it denies the Trinity. And then also you have a prophet who decided that, you know, the religion
00:46:39.740 thus far had been corrupted. And so they have a new revelation that not only is completely new,
00:46:45.880 but actually redeems and restores what the truth always was meant to be. I'm not saying Islam and 0.94
00:46:52.320 Mormonism are similar in every single regard. And certainly the fruit of these ideologies are not 0.99
00:46:57.460 similar at all, but it is similar in its establishment and how it originally started.
00:47:04.860 It tries to co-opt Christianity, its truth, remake it as a new religion, claiming that it's going
00:47:09.620 back to the true version of the faith. But like with Mormonism, man can't create a religious text 0.79
00:47:14.820 on par with the actual Bible. The result is contradictions and inconsistencies, errors. 0.88
00:47:19.660 And the only way to make it match up with the Bible is to claim that the Bible is full of error.
00:47:24.500 you will remember maybe from my debate with Jacob Hansen is that they don't hold to the same version
00:47:31.500 or view of biblical inerrancy as Christians do. And this is the key difference between, on one
00:47:36.340 hand, the Old Testament and the New Testament, and on the other, the Quran. While the Old and 0.81
00:47:40.860 New Testaments work in harmony with the New fulfilling the Old, the Quran doesn't do that. 0.99
00:47:45.720 Instead, it constantly contradicts and has to override the Old and New Testaments because it 0.92
00:47:50.020 isn't God's actual revelation. It is following Muhammad's life and it is following him gaining 0.97
00:47:56.560 power and all of his conflicts and all of the wars that he engaged in. And then his marriage 0.95
00:48:01.800 to a six-year-old that was reportedly consummated when she was nine years old and the taking on of
00:48:07.160 other wives. We've got some really good news from pre-born. They have been able through the grace
00:48:17.260 of God. And the persistence of the people who work at these pre-born pregnancy clinics
00:48:21.380 save over 50,000 babies. And they have seen more than 5,100 commitments to Christ through their
00:48:29.320 ministry. How is that happening? This is a personal message from Dan Steiner, the president
00:48:33.980 of pre-born. He says, because of you, we can invite mothers considering abortion into a pre-born
00:48:37.860 network clinic to meet their baby. And when she has that close encounter of the best kind in her
00:48:43.480 womb. So she sees that baby on the sonogram. She's 80% more likely to choose life. And every
00:48:49.600 time you donate to pre-born, whether it's $2, whether it covers the whole cost of that ultrasound
00:48:54.180 session, $28, whether you can donate thousands of dollars and you can cover tons of those
00:49:01.520 sonograms, you are helping. You are helping these women choose life. You are helping them have an
00:49:07.620 encounter that could lead them to Christ. When someone shares the gospel with them, put your
00:49:12.340 money where your heart is. Invest in the lives of these babies and their moms and dads. Again,
00:49:17.720 $28 covers the cost of a life-saving ultrasound. Go to preborn.com slash Allie to make your 1.00
00:49:23.120 donation today. That's preborn.com slash Allie. If Islamists believe that the Bible was corrupted,
00:49:33.780 the argument that Christians and Muslims worship the same God, it just breaks down.
00:49:38.100 Everything about God's motivation to have a relationship with man is there throughout the
00:49:41.560 Bible, including before Isaac and Ishmael show up. The God of Muslims allows the scripture to be 0.76
00:49:47.220 corrupted. In their view, Allah made the crucifixion of Jesus to appear as an illusion 1.00
00:49:51.740 when it didn't happen in reality, deceiving a huge portion of people to form a religion around it. 0.92
00:49:57.020 Now, does that sound like a God that you trust? Does that sound like a God who really wants a
00:50:01.180 relationship with mankind, the same one that we Christians worship? Also, there is a big difference,
00:50:08.400 not only in what we are commanded to do, Christians are called to love. We are called to lay down our
00:50:13.780 lives. Husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church who gave himself up for
00:50:19.360 her. So self-sacrificial form of love. Wives are to submit to our husbands as to the Lord, but that
00:50:24.940 love and respect, love and submission relationship is to be one that reflects this loving submission
00:50:31.040 relationship between Christ and his church. Not one of abuse, not one where women are subjugated,
00:50:36.900 not one where women and children have fewer rights. The radical part of Ephesians five for 0.80
00:50:41.920 the Christian is that this was introduced in a time when women were not seen as full people,
00:50:47.600 they weren't given full rights. So the radical point wouldn't have been, Hey, wives submit to
00:50:53.000 your husbands. It would have been in these ancient pagan world, um, in the city of Ephesus,
00:50:58.740 the radical part would have been, Hey, husbands, you got to love your wives as Christ loved the
00:51:03.560 church. You got to lay yourself down for her. Just as she submits to you, you got to love her.
00:51:08.340 Like you got to be willing to die for her. So as a command to men on how to treat women,
00:51:13.120 because women were and are seen as so incredibly valuable, the Jesus in scripture, how he attends
00:51:19.580 to women, how he touches the women who are seen as unclean, how he interacts with the women of
00:51:26.520 the night who were caught in adultery and who committed all kinds of sins, interacted with
00:51:31.460 him, related with them, and then called them to repentance and showed them love that is completely
00:51:37.180 foreign to the culture, the ideology, and the practice of Islam. And we are also promised in
00:51:42.940 Christianity, we are promised a paradise that is paradise because we have relationship with Christ,
00:51:48.840 because we don't have to worry about sin, our sin, other people's sin. We just get to live forever
00:51:53.060 worshiping him. If you look at the paradise that is promised in Islam, at least the paradise that 1.00
00:51:59.380 is promised for men. You get 72 virgins that you get to do whatever you want with. You get 1.00
00:52:05.780 all kinds of stuff that is given to you. I mean, it's literally your promise an eternal brothel 0.94
00:52:12.800 in Islam. That is not at all the same as Christianity in which the marriage is between 0.96
00:52:21.080 Christ and his church and is reflected on earth between one husband and one wife. 0.90
00:52:27.020 the fruit of course of christianity has been much different than the fruit of islam still today 0.98
00:52:32.200 we see islam breeds violence it breeds division it breeds terrorism not because of some aberration 1.00
00:52:39.360 or some radical groups but because of what islam teaches in the quran about killing the infidel 0.96
00:52:44.320 and the purpose of jihad and the calling of domination doesn't mean that all people who
00:52:50.780 profess to be christians have been perfect or have been non-violent but our teaching is one
00:52:56.380 of evangelism and truth and persistence and love and peace. And that is why Christians built the
00:53:02.800 West and Western civilization in all of its glory and all of its human rights. And Islam hasn't been 1.00
00:53:08.920 able to come close. Nabeel Qureshi is a convert to Christianity from Islam. He saw the Christian
00:53:16.300 God and the Muslim God as radically different. Satri. The way Islam teaches God's character, 0.64
00:53:22.900 his being, is very different from that of Christianity. Of course, the Christian God 1.00
00:53:27.460 is triune. The Christian God is a father, an absolutely perfectly loving father. The Christian
00:53:33.880 God is willing to enter into this world and suffer alongside his creation. The Christian God is 0.93
00:53:40.320 willing to forgive us of all our sins by paying the penalty himself. In all of these ways, he is
00:53:46.700 very different from the Muslim God. The Muslim God is transcendent, in fact unknowable. Chapter 5 1.00
00:53:52.840 of the Quran says that he remains behind a veil, as if it were, and it's not meet for him to enter
00:53:58.900 into this world or to be made known. So the Christian God and the Muslim God have very 0.94
00:54:03.920 different characteristics. They do different things, and they offer different paths. 0.97
00:54:08.980 That's so good. And unfortunately, sadly for us, Nabeel Qureshi died of cancer several years ago,
00:54:16.880 but his testimony and his work lives on. When he was talking, I thought of this verse, Ephesians
00:54:22.000 312, um, in whom in Christ, we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.
00:54:28.760 So this holy, perfect God, he's not far away from us because through Christ, we have been adopted
00:54:35.480 and we are his children. Like we get to enter not only his kingdom, but his presence with
00:54:41.780 boldness and access with confidence. We don't have to sacrifice ourselves to earn our way to heaven.
00:54:48.460 we don't have to follow a list of rules in order to be good enough for him. Jesus's blood
00:54:53.920 accomplishes all of that for us. That's the freedom that the gospel gives that no other
00:54:58.120 religion gives. The Instagram account, Eternal Bread of Life, it's operated by a former Muslim, 1.00
00:55:03.340 has posted several videos explaining that Muslims don't really understand their faith or God sought 0.94
00:55:08.840 for. Muslims will always say it's not befitting of God to enter his creation and live among humans 1.00
00:55:14.220 When we literally see him do that all throughout the Old Testament. 1.00
00:55:17.600 Genesis 3.8 says,
00:55:19.040 After Adam and Eve sinned, they heard the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day.
00:55:23.560 In Genesis 18, it says,
00:55:25.040 The Lord appeared to Abraham in the form of a man who spoke with him and ate a meal,
00:55:29.400 showing that God can manifest visibly within creation without ceasing to be God.
00:55:33.920 Genesis 32 says that Jacob physically wrestled with a man all night.
00:55:37.940 Afterward, he says,
00:55:39.060 I have seen God face to face.
00:55:40.920 So we all agree that God is way too good for us.
00:55:43.200 So why would he come and be among us? Because God is not just our master. He is our father.
00:55:49.820 I think that that from everything that I've heard from ex-Muslims, that is such a perfect way to 0.99
00:55:55.500 share the gospel with Muslims, as she knows much better than I do. But from everything that I've 1.00
00:56:00.740 seen, going through the Old Testament and distinguishing the God of the Bible from the 0.99
00:56:05.740 God of Islam is the way to do it and is the way to create that entrance to sharing the gospel. 0.63
00:56:14.280 And so God bless her and God bless Jarek and all of the people who have left Islam and are sharing
00:56:18.860 the gospel with the Muslim world. Quick pause to tell you guys about one of my favorite sponsors,
00:56:28.580 and that is Seven Weeks Coffee. They're America's pro-life coffee company. They're on a mission to
00:56:33.520 fund the pro-life movement, one cup of coffee at a time. I love seven weeks coffee. I love how they
00:56:38.820 love how it tastes. I love that it's sustainably sourced. I love that it's ethically raised all of
00:56:43.020 that good stuff that it's mold free, pesticide free. But of course my favorite part is their
00:56:47.680 mission. They donate 10% of every sale to pregnancy centers across the country. They have now raised
00:56:52.680 over $2.3 million. They've saved thousands of lives because of the money that you have allowed

00:57:48.080 so the question remains should we have an alliance between christians and muslims
00:57:59.380 well i don't really think it's possible practically and politically i don't think
00:58:05.100 it's possible because islam is an ideology it is a political organization and a political ideology 0.98
00:58:12.900 that has a worldview and goals and tactics that are diametrically opposed to the Christian worldview
00:58:19.940 and tactics and our goals and what we want to do. In the short term, is it possible for a Muslim 1.00
00:58:27.160 family and a Christian family to join together in a lawsuit to sue a public school that is trying to
00:58:33.860 force LGBTQ ideology? Yeah, I think that that is possible in the short term. Should we love our 0.97
00:58:40.100 neighbors 100%? Should we assume that all Muslims are terrorists or are violent? No, of course we 0.97
00:58:47.380 shouldn't. Should we be sharing the gospel? Should we be loving them and serving them? Yes, of course
00:58:52.040 we should, because our faith calls us to do that. And short-term political pragmatic alliances may
00:58:58.760 be possible, but this big push by the Pope, by world leaders to minimize our very real differences 0.87
00:59:06.320 and to downplay the consequences of Islamic ideology in the world. I'm just not down with 0.94
00:59:12.780 that. I'm not down with it by itself. I'm also not down with like, oh, let's try to unite Christians
00:59:19.020 and Muslims who basically believe the same thing to defeat so-called Jewish supremacy or to like
00:59:24.980 gang up against the Jews. That's, that's evil and demonic. Look, I'm going to follow the way, 1.00
00:59:30.140 the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through Christ. That's what Christians are
00:59:35.020 called to do. We are called to love our Jewish neighbors. We're called to love our Muslim
00:59:39.260 neighbors in lots of ways, but also by telling them the truth of the gospel. I'm not getting 1.00
00:59:43.780 on board with what I believe is truly a psyop. It's truly a psyop to try to, um, make innocent
00:59:51.400 Islam and to pretend like it doesn't have the ramifications that it does in the world. 0.96
00:59:55.880 And that I need to load the identity of my Jewish savior, um, who came to conquer death and rise 0.99
01:00:03.500 again, three days later, I'm just not on board with that. I'm not on board with that. Um, all 1.00
01:00:08.560 right. I laid this out and there's so much more that needs to be said. I'm sure we'll talk about
01:00:13.480 it again in the future. Let me know if you have questions, if you have thoughts, we'll be back
01:00:16.980 here again soon.
01:00:33.500 Thank you.
