00:00:00.000 hey guys welcome to relatable happy monday hope everyone had a great weekend continuing our
00:00:15.760 election series today we are going to talk about climate change and what each side thinks about
00:00:22.180 helping the environment we'll also look at climate change from a biblical perspective
00:00:27.540 how should christians view the issue of climate change and caring for the environment first
00:00:34.280 because we didn't get to talk about this last week i want to talk about this drama with hunter
00:00:39.740 biden so the new york post published a story about hunter biden and burisma his workings with
00:00:49.520 a business in ukraine and here is what the here's what the article says hunter biden introduced his
00:00:56.860 father then vice president joe biden to a top executive at a ukrainian energy firm less than
00:01:02.600 a year before the elder biden pressured government officials in ukraine into firing a prosecutor
00:01:08.940 who was investigating the company according to emails obtained by new york post the never before
00:01:15.600 revealed meeting is a mention is mentioned in a message of appreciation that vadim pozarski
00:01:21.880 an advisor to the board of burisma allegedly sent hunter biden on april 17 2015 about a year after
00:01:30.240 hunter joined the burisma board at a reported salary of up to fifty thousand dollars a month an earlier
00:01:36.760 email from may 2014 also shows per uh pozarski uh reportedly burisma's number three exact asking hunter
00:01:45.960 for advice on how you could use your influence on the company's behalf now joe biden claimed not too
00:01:53.360 long ago that he had never spoken to his son about his overseas business dealings hunter biden
00:01:59.740 uh has worked not just with ukraine but allegedly with china as well and what seemed kind of kind of like
00:02:06.260 sketchy deals i mean the guy has a has a path has a past that is riddled with a lot of misbehavior a lot
00:02:15.560 of sketchy dealings and the only reason he has been given these places of uh influence in chinese and
00:02:23.760 ukrainian companies is because he is the son of someone with a lot of influence namely joe biden
00:02:29.320 these emails show that joe biden apparently did actually know about a lot of his overseas dealings
00:02:34.980 and the question is whether or not joe biden uh decided that he was going to pressure government
00:02:40.840 officials in ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company because his son
00:02:47.140 was profiting from the company if so that is illegal that is corruption and the ironic thing is is that
00:02:53.500 you'll remember that the impeachment hearings uh the impeachment hearings were about president trump
00:02:59.520 earlier this year if you can even remember that about president trump issuing some kind of
00:03:04.040 illegal quid pro quo with ukraine well this is certainly some kind of quid pro quo joe biden using
00:03:12.440 his influence and his power as the vice president to possibly it looks like uh pressure ukrainian
00:03:19.480 officials into firing the prosecutor that is looking into the company burisma that his son was making
00:03:25.720 money off of it doesn't look good and that's not even that's not even the full story so that was the
00:03:30.720 story by new york post i'll include the link of it in the description here and you can research for
00:03:35.900 yourself with any kind of story whether it's about the candidate that you like or dislike it's always
00:03:40.740 important to look into it to ask questions to say okay do these sources seem legit is there somewhere
00:03:46.040 else that i can can i can i dig into it a little bit more to try to figure out the validity of this
00:03:51.740 story is this just you know a propagandizing hit piece and so whether you're looking at the new
00:03:56.820 york post or fox news or new york times it's important to try to get all sides of the story
00:04:01.840 however this is a good journalistic piece i mean we have actually the emails uh that were sent to
00:04:09.540 hunter biden and that were uh and sent from hunter biden some of them mentioning his dad as my guy
00:04:16.920 and it just seems like he is using the influence of his dad as vice president to get the things that
00:04:21.020 he wants to get and to work on behalf of ukraine that's not a great look uh but here's what happened
00:04:28.620 when the new york post tweeted this out twitter decided that they were going to not only take that
00:04:33.160 tweet down they were going to shut down new york post twitter page and they disallowed anyone from
00:04:39.860 actually tweeting out the link so anyone who tweeted out the url to this story they got a message on
00:04:46.740 twitter saying sorry you can't tweet that we don't allow that and people um kaylee mckinney the press
00:04:53.280 secretary she actually had her account locked down for tweeting it out and so thankfully the senate uh
00:05:00.200 the senate judiciary committee which is run by republicans they posted the story on their website
00:05:05.320 to try to get around the blocking of the url that twitter was doing jack dorsey the ceo of twitter
00:05:10.580 did come out and say oh you know we shouldn't have done that there was a lot of there was lack of
00:05:15.540 clarity and communication around that no the fact of the matter is is that you are applying a certain
00:05:20.880 level of of uh if you could even call it scrutiny i would say just plain old censorship uh two stories
00:05:28.240 that you don't like because joe biden is your candidate and you hate donald trump twitter tried
00:05:33.200 to come out and say oh we're blocking the story because it has sketchy sources uh because we don't know
00:05:38.520 if it's legit because it has information that came from that came from hacking apparently these emails and
00:05:45.340 we don't want to incentivize that kind of thing really have you applied that same level of scrutiny
00:05:51.120 to uh to stories that involve donald trump i mean the new york times somehow obtained tax returns from
00:06:00.980 donald trump that were leaked illegally and twitter didn't have any problem whatsoever with not only
00:06:05.960 allowing that story to be circulated but allowing it to trend i mean someone illegally recorded and then
00:06:12.940 leaked a conversation with uh with the first lady of the united states which ended up being a nothing
00:06:19.460 conversation but they tried to make it into something cnn played it and twitter had no problem
00:06:24.800 circulating that they have never tried to stop the circulation of the hoax uh a russian collusion
00:06:32.160 story that we actually know now hillary clinton invented out of thin air to try to stop donald trump
00:06:39.880 twitter never applied the same scrutiny to those kinds of stories they're only applying this scrutiny
00:06:45.980 which is actually censorship to a story which seems like a very legit story just as legit as any story
00:06:52.160 about donald trump uh they are applying a certain standard of scrutiny and censorship against this
00:06:57.980 story because they want joe biden to win that is election interference i mean that is something that
00:07:03.560 you expect out of communist china not out of the the company that has flourished because of american
00:07:12.340 freedom and american innovation innovation and capitalism but they are actually working against
00:07:17.640 the very system and the very people that have allowed them to become successful our big tech overlords
00:07:25.140 want to control the flow of information in order to change your mind in order to uh control what you
00:07:31.560 think so if google twitter facebook instagram which of course is run by facebook and youtube which is
00:07:38.520 run by google are all ideologically in one direction whatever they can believe what they want to believe
00:07:43.960 that's fine but when they start censoring people that disagree with them when they start stopping the
00:07:48.700 flow of information that they don't like or runs up against their worldview or their preferences that's a
00:07:53.540 huge problem and yes we know they have been doing that for a long time but it is especially
00:07:58.880 consequential when it is when it comes to an election we are three weeks before an election and they are
00:08:04.240 purposely trying to stop the flow of information that they don't like talk about collusion like we've
00:08:10.520 been wasting our time talking about a russian collusion hoax for the past four years that ended up being
00:08:15.400 nothing it was again created out of thin air but we're not talking about the collusion that exists between
00:08:21.760 big tech and the democratic party and look i am all for private companies being able to run their
00:08:29.080 business how they see fit like i don't want the government to control twitter i don't want the
00:08:33.480 government to control facebook i think that would be worse i think it would be worse if the democratic
00:08:38.460 party if they are in power of the government if they are the ones that are regulating facebook and
00:08:44.520 twitter that's going to be even worse for conservatives so that's not what i'm saying the solution is
00:08:48.800 but these companies also have a monopoly over our information and are trying to change public opinion
00:08:55.920 by manipulating search results by censoring ideas and uh philosophies and stories that they don't like
00:09:06.380 and that's a huge problem and it is our responsibility it is our responsibility to not only keep speaking
00:09:13.000 the truth but also seeking the truth and just remembering that no matter what's what side of the aisle
00:09:18.300 an outlet that you're reading is on that it is your responsibility to go past the headline i haven't
00:09:23.900 always done that it's easy to have confirmation bias to read a headline that we like that agrees
00:09:28.660 with us and just share it without even thinking but it is our responsibility christians i would say
00:09:33.500 especially to critically think to go beyond the headline to go beyond the story unfortunately
00:09:38.680 you could spend 10 minutes reading a whole story from the new york times and you don't even have half
00:09:44.200 of what really happened and what really was said you don't even have all the context you could spend
00:09:48.320 all day watching cnn and you still don't have the truth about what's going on in the world because
00:09:53.620 it's so slanted that's true of a lot of different outlets and so um you know the megan kelly when i had
00:10:00.960 an interview with her she said that she goes i think it's on real clear politics.com every day she sees
00:10:06.040 editorials from the right and the left and she actually takes the time to look at both sides of the issue
00:10:11.120 and then come to her own conclusions and i think that's what we have to do as well unfortunately
00:10:15.700 there's not a whole lot of completely unbiased information i encourage you to always fact check
00:10:21.100 me don't allow me to be the only one to shape your views but of course we have to be able to dig into
00:10:27.320 what is true i do not ever trust the first thing that comes up on google ever ever and i have to be
00:10:33.760 very specific with what i google in order to get anything relevant to what i'm saying if i google
00:10:39.960 climate change for example i am only going to the first 15 results are going to be left-leaning
00:10:45.540 outlets and left-leaning results you have to really dig to find both sides of an issue that's why i am
00:10:53.740 thankful that a place like the new york post exists that fox news exists that daily wire exists that the
00:10:58.220 blaze exists that the federalist and national review and prager you that conservative podcasts exist
00:11:04.980 there is a plethora of liberal information if you are just swimming down the mainstream and you never
00:11:10.540 think and you never test what you hear you will become a liberal because everything that is popular
00:11:15.780 and everything that is easy and everything that is propaganda right now in 2020 skews to the left you
00:11:22.140 have to work hard to get the other side of the issue and that's what we're going to have to do
00:11:26.600 now more than ever because big tech is again censoring messages stories that they don't like
00:11:32.560 it is corrupt it is scary you don't live in a country that actually believes in free speech if
00:11:38.140 the people who are controlling our flow of information are censoring half of the country
00:11:43.700 and what half the country thinks and what half the country wants to know and read about
00:11:48.240 so it's a scary time but i am here to bring you a different perspective other than the very popular
00:11:56.720 and mainstream perspective about climate change and what we should actually do about it so that's what i'm
00:12:01.980 going to talk to you about today so what we hear from climate change activists on the left there are
00:12:08.800 climate change activists and advocates of fighting climate change on the right and their their tactics
00:12:17.940 are very different their mindset is very different and so i don't want to lump in all climate change
00:12:22.880 activists although i would say most of them exist on the left but leftism colors climate change
00:12:29.440 activism in a way that is fear-mongering and in a way that i will argue later is idolatrous and what
00:12:37.900 we hear from these left-wing climate change activists is that the world is going to get to
00:12:42.760 a point of irreversible damage in 7 to 12 years if we do not act on climate change the water will be
00:12:49.300 too high the sun will be too hot atmosphere will be too damaged and we won't be able to go back and
00:12:53.520 all of these people everywhere will uh they will suffer if we don't do something drastic acting
00:13:00.160 typically to these climate change activists means banning fossil fuels fracking switching to electric
00:13:05.880 cars flying less walking more eating less meat but it also has a lot of uh economic proposals that
00:13:12.840 typically come with these climate change proposals as well we saw from aoc's green new deal that
00:13:19.340 she believes that fighting climate change includes the entirety of the socialist wishlist so more public
00:13:25.360 housing economic security for those unwilling not just unable but unwilling to work um all buildings
00:13:33.000 being retrofitted to be more green um and controlling the every day of people's lives in order to ensure
00:13:41.400 that they have a smaller carbon footprint it gives a lot of control to the federal government it takes a lot
00:13:46.900 of money out of our pocket in order to ensure equal outcomes for all people in the name of climate
00:13:53.700 justice and that's what really all of this is about as i will explain um biden's website says that he wants
00:14:01.880 to ensure the u.s achieves a hundred percent clean energy economy and reaches net zero emissions no later
00:14:08.520 than 2050 ensure that our buildings water transportation and energy infrastructure can withstand the impacts of
00:14:14.600 climate change he will not only recommit the united states this is what his website says to the paris
00:14:20.180 climate agreement uh he will go much further than that he will lead an effort to get every major country
00:14:25.160 to ramp up the ambition of their domestic climate targets the biden admin will take action against
00:14:30.600 fossil fuel companies you might remember that in kamala harris's and uh mike pence's debate that she said
00:14:38.760 that oh no biden didn't say that he is going to ban ban fracking he's not against all fossil fuels yes yes
00:14:46.860 he is we have him on video saying that he is going to ban fracking she is against fracking so just
00:14:54.240 understand that that they are against fracking um biden's climate and environmental justice proposal
00:14:59.840 environmental justice always beware when there is an adjective in front of justice racial justice economic
00:15:06.540 justice environmental justice social justice typically what they mean is not justice at all it is um
00:15:13.140 it is trying to socially engineer society in order to have the outcomes that far left-wing activists
00:15:20.780 want to create so biden's climate and environmental justice proposal will make a federal investment of
00:15:27.940 1.7 trillion dollars over the next year so whenever you hear a left a leftist say investment what they mean
00:15:34.620 is that they are going to raise your taxes astronomically and spend it on the things that they want to spend it
00:15:39.800 so that's a 1.7 trillion dollar tax hike over the next 10 years on the american people
00:15:44.900 leveraging additional private sector and state and local investments to total to more than
00:15:50.420 5 trillion dollars uh biden believes the green new deal is a crucial framework for meeting the climate
00:15:57.280 challenges we face if powerfully it powerfully captures two basic truths which are the core of
00:16:03.000 his plan number one the united states urgently needs to embrace greater ambition on an epic scale to meet
00:16:08.680 the scope of this challenge and number two our environment and our economy are completely and totally
00:16:13.720 connected so you see there it is the pitch for changing the economy to be more left-wing to be more
00:16:20.560 socialist in order to fight climate change that's what this is really all about a national review breaks it
00:16:26.000 down like this um the article says under the green new deal within 11 years so we're saying that
00:16:32.340 we're talking about the green new deal now because biden has said that he wants uh that he believes the
00:16:38.040 green new deal is a great framework and he also tapped bernie sanders to help him with this uh with this
00:16:44.800 climate policy proposal who then turned around and tapped aoc who is the co-author of the green new deal
00:16:51.560 so it's important for us to understand what the green new deal is since biden's climate policy
00:16:57.640 proposal uh mirrors it so closely under the green new deal within 11 years the united states would be
00:17:03.380 required to eliminate not merely nuclear power which by the way does not directly contribute uh any
00:17:10.920 carbon dioxide to air pollution or air pollution but all natural gas natural gas currently provides about
00:17:17.700 32 percent of america's energy the green new deal would do away with it and nuclear power produces
00:17:23.440 another 10 percent the green new deal would get would do away with it the green new deal would also
00:17:28.020 eliminate coal which provides almost 18 percent of america's energy and liquid natural gas and oil
00:17:34.440 which generates another 28 percent in other words within 11 years the united states would need to replace
00:17:39.040 about 88 percent of its current energy sources under the green new deal this is not possible short of a
00:17:44.760 societal collapse to agrarian subsistence and you have to wonder if that's what really this is about
00:17:50.880 if they just have this like marxist vision of um if marxism had actually worked out when it was first
00:17:59.260 implemented in the 19th century apparently they want us to go back to that not just marxism but literally
00:18:06.260 the era in which karl marx was alive according to the u.s department of energy roughly 1.1
00:18:12.880 well actually just to clarify before before karl marx uh wrote the communist manifesto because he
00:18:20.340 was writing the communist manifesto because he believed the industrial revolution and and how
00:18:25.180 people were treated in the factories uh was proof that capitalism is bad and he saw communism as an
00:18:30.900 antidote to all of that so karl marx was not living in an agrarian society but a lot of society still
00:18:37.340 during that time was agrarian until that's the point i was making just in case i get some pushback on that
00:18:42.480 according to the u.s department of energy roughly 1.1 million working coal oil and gas production 2.3
00:18:49.140 million jobs in transmission distribution and storage and 2.4 million workers in motor vehicles
00:18:54.600 and component parts not counting dealerships the vast majority of these 5.8 million jobs would be
00:19:00.200 eliminated under the green new deal these aren't just jobs these are people these are people with
00:19:05.840 livelihoods um it would also cut military spending at least by half the green new deal would pull
00:19:12.260 troops from overseas which okay a lot of people are on board with that president trump is on board with
00:19:16.980 that but uh costing 1.4 trillion um and putting some people out of work every home and business in
00:19:24.900 the united states every home and business in the united states would have to be quote upgraded for
00:19:30.120 state-of-the-art energy efficiency comfort and safety uh basic income programs in single-payer
00:19:35.940 health care is a part of the green new deal uh the green new deal would also establish a federal
00:19:40.620 jobs guarantee one of the few non-energy related parts of the plan ocasio-cortez has spent significant
00:19:46.500 time advertising so there are a lot of non-energy related parts of the plan but this is one that
00:19:52.980 ocasio-cortez brings up a lot uh she said this would mitigate deeply entrenched racial regional and
00:19:59.860 gender-based inequalities and income and wealth again that is what so-called climate justice
00:20:04.660 is actually all about creating equality of outcome through socialism conservative estimate the green
00:20:12.560 new deal would cause uh would cost 40 trillion dollars that's 40 trillion of our dollars even
00:20:19.740 if the u.s were to eliminate all of its carbon dioxide emissions by the start of 2030 something
00:20:24.460 that is impossible the increased carbon dioxide emissions of the rest of the world would more than
00:20:29.540 offset the reductions in america so it wouldn't do anything according to the proposal the green new
00:20:35.260 deal would deeply involve national and local labor unions to take a leadership role in the process of
00:20:41.040 job training and worker deployment and it promises the funding of massive investment in the drawdown of
00:20:46.620 greenhouse gases that is a code phrase for giving billions of taxpayer dollars to renewable energy
00:20:51.760 companies and remember it is offering economic security for those unwilling to work
00:20:56.100 that is unbiblical god created work there is no such thing as uh there's no such thing morally as
00:21:04.980 being unwilling to work that is not uh that is not a moral position to take that is not a good
00:21:09.900 position to take god created work before the fall it's not a necessary evil human beings need to work
00:21:15.820 we have to be productive whether it's being a stay-at-home mom and being productive that way whether
00:21:20.100 it's being a volunteer and being productive that way or whether it is working in a salary job human
00:21:25.440 beings were made to be productive no human being was made to be lazy the bible is clear he who uh does
00:21:32.140 not work does not choose to work cannot eat we're not talking about the people who are unable to work
00:21:38.300 we're talking about the people who choose not to work let him who chooses not to work uh not eat that is
00:21:45.380 what the apostle paul says um and the bible is replete with uh with reprimands against laziness against
00:21:53.340 not working again the creation account shows that god created work it is good but the leftist world
00:21:59.420 view is a godless world view it is not a biblical world view it continually gets god and truth and
00:22:05.120 human nature wrong and so leftists typically believe that work is not necessary for the human soul it's not
00:22:12.180 necessary for the human mind it's something that you can do it's not something that you have to do
00:22:16.260 to survive and thrive but the human mind and soul atrophies without being productive there should
00:22:23.200 not be economic security for those who are simply unwilling to work but aoc is a socialist and she has
00:22:30.140 a godless worldview when it comes to this um also national review about uh biden's two trillion dollar
00:22:37.860 climate plan at least two trillion biden has tapped trotskyite bernie sanders a man who wants to
00:22:43.920 prosecute fossil fuel executives for climate change and nationalize then eliminate oil production
00:22:49.100 to lead these efforts bernie internist picked representative aoc to be the co-chair of climate
00:22:53.840 change committee um biden has voiced support for a national fracking ban which would not only
00:22:59.720 decimate natural gas production and spike energy prices the united states is the top producer of
00:23:04.260 natural gas in the world but hurt efforts to diminish carbon emissions that's not even to mention
00:23:08.560 the thousands of jobs that would be lost some of the more extreme elements in biden's plan
00:23:13.280 include a goal to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 the creation of a civilian climate corps
00:23:19.320 and plans to spend trillions retrofitting cars and buildings to be energy efficient of course this would
00:23:26.200 kill energy jobs many other industries will also suffer because of increasing energy prices and
00:23:32.320 regulations small businesses will have to pay more to keep their lights on and con uh on and in
00:23:38.880 compliance costs uh the federalist says this about biden's climate plan uh the climate agenda would
00:23:45.100 urge you instead of driving to live in a dense urban area and rely on public transportation that might be
00:23:50.300 very inconvenient when like now a viral epidemic hits which of course is true home will also be less
00:23:56.080 of a refuge the biden climate agenda has a big problem with suburbs as in their very existence it might
00:24:02.100 be uh your new dream home but the extremists who will run the biden administration will consider it to be
00:24:06.960 a sprawl so let me take a second to talk about this i've been wanting to talk about the the biden plan
00:24:13.440 for the suburbs but i haven't been able to fit it into these election episodes but strangely it fits
00:24:18.260 into the climate episode so you might have seen this going around a story going around again by the new
00:24:23.980 york post or trump saying that he wants to decimate your suburbs well unfortunately trump hasn't done a
00:24:29.500 really great job of explaining why that is so i am going to explain because president trump is right
00:24:35.560 they do want to destroy the suburbs they don't want you to live in the suburbs anymore because that
00:24:41.000 limits their control they want you to be under the control of city ordinances of uh city politicians
00:24:48.000 that typically run to the left they want more centralized control over your life and because they
00:24:53.500 want to reconfigure society to have equal outcomes they don't want some people to have more safety and
00:24:59.160 security in the suburbs and some people to have less safety and security in uh in the city and so
00:25:05.300 they want to integrate those two groups in order to make sure that everyone has equal outcomes so this
00:25:11.320 is from the new york post and the xvp wants to ramp up an obama era social engineering scheme called
00:25:17.940 affirmatively furthering fair housing that mercifully barely got underway before president trump took office
00:25:23.480 vowing to stop it started in 2015 president barack obama's department of housing and urban development
00:25:28.860 floated a cookie cutter requirement for quote balanced housing in every suburb balanced meant affordable
00:25:34.120 even for people who need federal vouchers so towns were obligated to do more than simply not discriminate
00:25:40.400 they had to make it possible for low-income minorities specifically to choose suburban living and provide
00:25:46.040 adequate support to make their choices possible so we're not talking about um making sure that suburban
00:25:52.360 areas aren't discriminating against black people because of course if that's the case that is illegal should be
00:25:57.920 illegal that is awful that is an injustice no we're talking about providing some kind of financial
00:26:05.000 support and ability for people who want to live in the suburbs but can't afford to live in the suburbs
00:26:10.980 to live in the suburbs so it doesn't matter if you say you used to live in government housing but you
00:26:18.060 worked really hard to make sure that your family could get out of that area which very often tragically
00:26:23.600 has a higher crime rate and to move to the suburbs so your kids could go to better schools so you could
00:26:29.200 have more safety and comfort and security so you could have the backyard it doesn't matter if you
00:26:33.520 worked really hard to make sure that your family could do that the obama administration said no we
00:26:39.040 want to make it to where it doesn't matter what you've actually worked for it doesn't matter the choices
00:26:43.560 you've made if you want to live in the suburb whether or not you can afford to live in the suburb
00:26:47.980 the suburbs should make it possible for you to live in the suburbs now the article goes on to say
00:26:54.000 had the rule been implemented nationwide towns everywhere would have had to scrap all zoning build bigger
00:26:59.440 water and sewer lines to support high density living expand schools and social services and add mass
00:27:04.800 transit all pushing up local taxes towns that refused would lose their federal aid now remember these people
00:27:12.060 that are now pushing up local taxes to make it possible for people who can't afford to live in
00:27:16.360 the suburbs to live in the suburbs are not themselves rich like not everyone who lives in the
00:27:20.920 suburb suburbs is rich like you might be making fifty thousand dollars a year you might be living on one
00:27:26.780 salary or two teacher salaries that are worth forty thousand dollars a year like you are working just
00:27:32.300 hard enough to be able to live in an okay neighborhood that is not ridden by crime and maybe you've come
00:27:38.280 from the bottom of the totem pole but you have worked your way to where you are to be able to
00:27:42.860 live in the neighborhood that you live in now you are paying higher taxes so that people who didn't
00:27:48.020 necessarily make the choices that you made can live where you live and so your choice to make the
00:27:52.820 choices that you did and to live where you live where you do is now moot in the name of justice and
00:27:59.420 equality according to the Obama administration the rule was one of the worst abuses of the Obama Biden
00:28:04.320 administration a raw power grab masquerading as racial justice absolutely right Biden's plan is to
00:28:10.600 force suburban towns with single-family homes and minimum lot sizes to build high-density affordable
00:28:15.660 housing smack in the middle of their leafy green neighborhoods local preferences and local control be
00:28:21.700 damned so they're trying to make this about race that in and of itself is racist because they're
00:28:28.400 actually saying that all impoverished people that live in government houses are black and so they're
00:28:33.760 saying well if you don't want that if you don't want federal housing in your nice safe neighborhoods
00:28:38.900 that must be because you're a bigot and you're a racist when that's not true at all you know that
00:28:43.360 there are non-white people lots of non-white people that live in these suburbs that have all they've all
00:28:49.120 worked really hard to get there whether you're white or not and now you're telling them that they're
00:28:54.040 racist because they don't want to go back to living where they were living african americans according to
00:28:59.620 this article have steadily uh have been steadily leaving inner cities and choosing suburban lifestyles
00:29:04.760 according to brookings institute data many families of all races want the peace of mind of letting their
00:29:09.800 kids ride bikes around quiet neighborhood streets that is what zoning laws provide that's not bigoted
00:29:15.200 that's just the reality for people of all races you move to particular neighborhoods because it provides
00:29:20.960 better opportunity for you and your kids and better safety and security the real barrier to suburban
00:29:26.240 living living is money living in the burbs isn't cheap hud secretary ben carson told a house
00:29:31.040 committee last may that people can only afford to live in certain places it's not because george
00:29:34.720 wallace is blocking the door biden and the equality warriors are using accusations of racism
00:29:40.060 to accomplish something different their message is you worked and saved to move to the suburbs but you
00:29:45.700 can't have that way of life unless everyone else can too you know this reminds me of a story i told
00:29:52.420 this to my husband the other day and it's so funny because i think that it very much describes it's a
00:29:58.380 good analogy for maybe i've shared it on this show before i don't remember it's a good analogy i think
00:30:03.100 for how um how leftism works and how it thinks so i remember one time i was spending the night with a
00:30:10.160 friend i was probably like six or seven years old she lived across the street from me and i we both had
00:30:16.040 one pillow and i asked for a second pillow i knew there was another pillow in uh another room that was
00:30:21.300 um that was not being used and she told me that i couldn't have another pillow because she only had
00:30:27.180 one pillow and i remember saying well i'll go get another pillow for you like there are more pillows
00:30:32.180 available we can both have two pillows and she said well i don't want two pillows okay so she didn't
00:30:36.700 want two pillows she only wanted one pillow so she only wanted me to have one pillow even though i
00:30:40.900 wanted two pillows and to her that wasn't fair that is actually how the left wing thinks about
00:30:47.660 a lot of things it doesn't matter preferences it doesn't matter choices uh it doesn't matter uh it
00:30:54.560 doesn't matter what you actually want to do what matters is equal outcomes no matter what and that's
00:31:00.420 actually that in itself is not fair that in itself is not actually just the fact of the matter is
00:31:05.980 we cannot accomplish equal outcomes in life outside of tyranny outside of taking freedom away
00:31:11.860 and that is what biden is planning to do by obliterating the suburbs and integrating all
00:31:16.320 people together thomas soul who is an economist you guys have heard me talk about him a lot here is what
00:31:22.420 he says about all of this when this was happening under the obama administration he says it better than i
00:31:27.500 can it's a little bit long but i think it's worth it for me to read to you what thomas soul says
00:31:32.720 in what may be the most ambitious social engineering project undertaken by the federal government the
00:31:37.940 administration is mapping every neighborhood in america by race the stated purpose is to use the
00:31:43.620 data to compel local officials to loosen zoning laws and build more public housing thereby offering
00:31:49.240 more poor inner city minorities better opportunities for housing and education but the unstated purpose is
00:31:56.380 forced racial integration the suburbs are just too white for obama and his race-mongering social
00:32:02.040 engineers remember thomas soul is black saying this uh they think they they think they geospatially
00:32:09.020 discriminate against minorities never mind that more and more middle-class black people are flocking to
00:32:14.780 them on their own individuals and groups of all sorts have always differed from one another in many ways
00:32:20.300 throughout centuries of history and in countries around the world left to themselves people tend to sort
00:32:25.640 themselves out into communities of like-minded neighbors this has been so obvious that only the
00:32:31.320 intelligentsia could misconstrue it and only ideologues could devote themselves to crusading against people's
00:32:37.400 efforts to live and associate with other people who share their values and habits when the world fails
00:32:42.120 to conform to their vision the intelligentsia then it seems obvious to the ideologues that it is the
00:32:48.600 world that is wrong not their vision that is uninformed or unrealistic one of the political
00:32:53.840 consequences of such attitudes is the current crusade of attorney general eric holder remember this was during the
00:32:59.860 obama administration that he wrote this to force various communities to become more quote inclusive
00:33:05.120 in terms of which races and classes of people they contain undaunted by a long history of disasters
00:33:10.860 when third parties try to mix and match people or prescribe what kind of housing is best they act as if this
00:33:16.680 time it has to work that is always true of left-wing proposals to those with the crusading mentality
00:33:23.540 failure only means that they should try try again at other people's expense including not only the
00:33:29.940 taxpayers but also those whose lives have been disrupted or even made miserable and dangerous
00:33:35.260 by previous bright ideas of third parties who pay no price for being wrong oh that is so true he loves
00:33:43.200 to talk he loves to say things like that that the elites the intelligentsia that these ideologues
00:33:48.160 come up come up with these terrible ideas and they never have to pay the price of being wrong because
00:33:53.060 they are in their insulated bubble they are in their rich wealthy gated communities and they don't have
00:33:59.420 to worry about the consequences of integrated neighborhoods that are going to end up obliterating
00:34:04.840 the suburbs and making them more like cities they don't have to pay the price of being wrong you do
00:34:10.220 so the biden administration which will be the most far left radical administration that we've had
00:34:17.000 according to bernie sanders himself the the farthest left member of the democratic party who is a part
00:34:24.480 of the task force on both economic on economic policy on education policy on climate policy they are in
00:34:32.300 the business of social engineering in the name of racial and climate justice for anyone who says that
00:34:38.240 joe biden is a moderate first of all he himself is not a moderate his record does not prove that
00:34:43.640 and the entire administration that he is building the people that are behind him making these plans
00:34:49.380 aoc and bernie sanders the most progressive if you want to use that term progressive members of the
00:34:55.320 democratic party are backing him and saying this is going to be the farthest left presidency that we
00:35:00.340 have ever had at least since fdr and so i saw a post from some influencer on instagram saying a vote for
00:35:07.260 joe biden is not going to be a vote for socialism really the socialists say that it is what do you
00:35:13.500 know that they don't i'd love to know so all they're talking about in racial and climate justice
00:35:19.920 is really social engineering to try to advance equal outcomes force equal outcomes it is not justice
00:35:27.400 it is actually what thomas soul calls cosmic justice in his book quest for cosmic justice
00:35:32.140 it's not about real justice which is equal treatment under the law which is as we've talked about so many
00:35:37.380 times on this podcast direct proportional truthful and impartial punishment for wrongdoing
00:35:42.300 and direct proportional truthful and partial restitution where necessary this is rewriting
00:35:48.600 the rules of the game in order to achieve enforce equal outcomes equal outcomes are not justice
00:35:54.460 because they are impossible outside of tyranny individuals are different groups are different
00:36:00.840 individuals have different interests have different capabilities have different ambitions talents and yes
00:36:05.680 privileges there are a million different privileges that exist in all kinds of societies
00:36:10.160 there's pretty privilege there is athletic privilege there is two parent privilege uh these can help
00:36:17.220 determine where we end up and trying to control all the factors and obstacles that every individual
00:36:23.280 has in their life by bringing us down to the lowest common denominator is impossible outside of
00:36:30.460 taking away all of our freedoms and all of what makes us unique and to completely obliterate
00:36:36.840 consequences of personal choices and have bureaucrats ideologues and the intelligentsia try to re-engineer
00:36:44.660 society in order to conform to their imaginary uh their imaginary picture of what equality and justice
00:36:54.120 actually looks like that's not god's definition of justice there's nowhere in the bible that god says
00:37:00.380 that justice equals equal outcomes at all yes equal opportunity equal treatment under the law
00:37:07.480 we believe is good but nowhere in the bible do we say do we hear that income gaps are a form of
00:37:15.600 injustice necessarily or that everyone has to be making the same uh the same salary in order for things
00:37:22.600 to be fair everyone has to have the same kind of house actually what we see in the ten commandments
00:37:27.640 is that god forbids envy he forbids covetousness you're not supposed to want your neighbor's stuff
00:37:32.800 you're not supposed to want the stuff of people that are richer than you or people that are different
00:37:36.580 than you and it also forbids stealing so the stealing of your money and distributing it to people
00:37:42.060 who didn't work for it that's theft and that is against the lord's command yes there are reasons for
00:37:48.220 taxes there are reasons for the government the bible says in romans 13 that one of the roles of the
00:37:54.060 government in addition to executing justice against the wrongdoer is also to collect taxes yes but the
00:38:01.140 forced redistribution of wealth um is a form of theft it is a form of theft and it is a form of
00:38:08.080 corruption it is a form of tyranny and that is all this climate and so-called racial justice thing
00:38:13.460 is about the fact is in regards to climate change specifically uh we know that the climate is changing
00:38:20.340 it has always changed but so-called scientists have been saying for decades that the world is about
00:38:25.180 to end literally for decades we've been like on a 10-year timeline saying that the world is about to
00:38:31.080 just spiral out of control into irreversible damage we're never going to be able to get it back
00:38:35.420 the concern a while ago was global cooling and then it was global warming and now it's climate change we
00:38:41.020 simultaneously hear the climate isn't weather but that climate change is what's causing these hurricanes
00:38:46.060 these tornadoes these wildfires but for example like we know that climate change is not causing the
00:38:52.900 wildfires in the west in california we actually know we discussed this on the podcast and that they
00:38:58.360 were caused by environmental policy from left-wing activists that actually prevents brush clearing in
00:39:04.360 the forest and limits the water supply and the corrupt firefighters unions leveraging their power to
00:39:09.980 increase the six-figure salaries for the firefighters so the state can't actually afford to hire more
00:39:15.100 firefighters to fight the fires and so these are left-wing policies that are working against the
00:39:20.860 safety and well-being of people in california but it's very convenient to be able to point your fingers
00:39:25.400 at climate change and then to say it's all donald trump's fault uh there are a lot of myths also that are
00:39:31.000 surrounding fossil fuels alex epstein wrote a book called the moral case for fossil fuels he argues um
00:39:37.520 that a lot of the talking point that the climate change scientists and the democratic politicians
00:39:43.880 talk about when it comes to fossil fuels are actually wrong he actually argues that fossil fuels make
00:39:49.160 our air and water cleaner that we need fossil fuels and that wind and solar uh solar energy can never
00:39:55.700 replace fossil fuels that is his perspective so understand that there is disagreement about climate
00:40:01.800 change like there is disagreement about what's causing climate change anyone who tells you that there is
00:40:06.840 not or the same kind of people that are telling you that everyone agrees that abortion is a constitutional
00:40:11.520 right just because we have left-wing people that are controlling our flow of information does not
00:40:17.140 mean that that is what everyone thinks or that is what we should think and that certainly doesn't
00:40:21.000 equate to truth i mean popular opinion does not equate to truth i think we can look throughout history
00:40:25.860 and see all of the terrible immoral things that the majority of people have supported
00:40:30.020 and realize the popularity does not necessarily equal true from a christian perspective guys the world is not
00:40:37.620 going to end because of climate change it's just not from a biblical perspective it is impossible to believe
00:40:42.580 that we are tasked with caring for the earth and the animals that is true i don't think we should litter
00:40:47.300 we certainly shouldn't be cruel to animals we shouldn't be wasteful we should be conscious of the things
00:40:52.060 that we buy and where we buy from there's nothing wrong with looking at both sides of the debate when we're
00:40:57.240 talking about energy sources and and how to protect biodiversity absolutely that's part of caring for the earth and
00:41:03.740 caring for animals something that we as humans are tasked to do god created this earth it is to glorify
00:41:09.340 him the bible said that if no one if no human praises him that even the rocks will cry out like god created
00:41:15.000 the earth he loves the earth in a different way than he loves us because we are created in his image
00:41:19.680 but we should absolutely take care of the earth and take joy in the earth but our hope and fear is not
00:41:26.460 dependent upon the latest news in regard to climate change that is an unbiblical godless way to think
00:41:32.620 listen to this promise from god in genesis 8 22 while the earth remains this is to noah while the
00:41:38.380 earth remains sea time and harvest cold and heat summer and winter day and night shall not cease what
00:41:46.720 we hear from climate change alarmists is that one day it's just going to be all summer that we're
00:41:51.920 basically going to burn up that it's going to be so hot and that we're not going to have regular
00:41:57.640 seasons anymore because of climate change well god the creator and sustainer of the universe
00:42:01.900 says this genesis 8 22 while the earth remains seed time and harvest cold and heat summer and
00:42:09.760 winter day and night shall not cease that is a promise we also know and god will destroy the current
00:42:17.760 earth with fire so he's he's gonna do that he doesn't need climate change to do it he's gonna do
00:42:23.140 that and believers will have a new heavens and a new earth but uh by the same oh this is uh according to
00:42:29.900 second peter 3 7 through 12 but by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up
00:42:35.760 for fire being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly we know how it's going
00:42:40.880 to end the bible tells us how it's going to end and it's not through climate change jesus will rescue
00:42:45.760 his church he will defeat sin and death and satan and destroy unbelievers and we will dwell forever with
00:42:50.900 him in perfect peace and joy that's how it ends there is no mention of climate change as the cause
00:42:56.520 for the end of the world and if it were mentioned there ain't nothing that you or i could do to stop
00:43:01.560 it job 38 4 through 11 god says this to job after job dares question god i love these chapters of the
00:43:10.020 bible just shows god's power and sovereignty and for all the people tone policing who constantly say oh you
00:43:18.060 know we just really need to be softer yes we're not the god of the universe so that doesn't mean that
00:43:23.180 we can mimic uh god's tone in everything but god actually uses sarcasm in a way rhetorical questions
00:43:31.420 jesus himself does paul himself does certainly james does and uh in his letter and so this uh a lot of
00:43:40.780 people would be very disturbed by the tones that we see in the bible and the use of rhetorical devices
00:43:47.860 like sarcasm to get a point across that is what god is doing here uh to job who dared question him he
00:43:55.780 says where were you when i laid the foundation of the earth tell me if you have understanding
00:44:00.480 who determined its measurements surely you know or who stretched the line upon it on what were its
00:44:05.760 bases sunk or who laid its cornerstone when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of god
00:44:10.800 shouted for joy or who shut in the sea with doors when it burst out from the womb when i made clouds its
00:44:16.340 garment and thick darkness its swaddling band and prescribed limits for it and set bars and doors
00:44:21.460 and said thus far you shall come and no farther and here shall your proud waves be a state god rules
00:44:28.720 the world he is in charge of the earth every single bit of it every single organism every single atom
00:44:35.500 and molecule is under the authority of christ uh so should we steward and care for this earth that he is in
00:44:42.220 control of with compassion yes but we do not put our hope in fighting climate change especially since
00:44:49.620 doing so almost always comes with a human cost and an economic and freedom cost that translate into a
00:44:56.680 human cost uh the world of climate change all too often views human beings as a debit to the world
00:45:03.600 rather than a credit they see us as impositions on the world that the world existed and that we came and
00:45:10.000 interrupted everything uh that is why you see climate activists speaking with disdain about having more
00:45:16.460 than one child and having large families there's a rise of anti-natalist groups and climate groups that
00:45:21.840 champion abortion and forced birth control sterilization as a way to combat climate change that is not a
00:45:28.780 biblical way to view human beings who are created in the womb by god psalm 139 with specificity with care
00:45:36.080 and purpose who are made in his image and have a soul that will live forever whom god longs to redeem
00:45:42.220 with the blood of his son that is how we see human beings uh instead climate activists on the left often
00:45:48.060 glorify plants and animals over human beings you will hear them say humans are more important than
00:45:52.900 animals and actually we are just we're just animals we're just evolved animals no no again for the christian
00:45:59.780 that is not how we see the world that is not how we see human beings once again leftism gets
00:46:06.040 human nature wrong god wrong truth wrong morality wrong leftist climate activism is very often a
00:46:11.660 form of destructive idolatry romans 121 through 23 speaks to this kind of thinking and these kinds
00:46:18.400 of people for although they knew god they did not honor him as god or give thanks to him but they
00:46:23.560 became futile in their thinking and their foolish hearts were darkened claiming to be wise they became
00:46:28.380 fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal god for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals
00:46:33.960 and creeping things far be it from us to echo their rhetoric and to go with their fear mongering
00:46:41.500 we go to the word of god to see to see how we steward the earth um and so when it comes to trump
00:46:48.000 and the environment um i want human beings to be in the center of any conversation about caring for the earth
00:46:56.960 the economic well-being and the freedom of human beings and yes keeping and caring for the earth i want
00:47:04.940 those things to be the center of the conversation when we are talking about caring for the environment
00:47:10.460 donald trump um has basically said look climate change isn't a hoax which i agree with climate is
00:47:16.560 changing climate has always changed but we shouldn't be spending all of our money and all of our time and all
00:47:21.920 our efforts in combating it and i agree with that um he talked about the importance of better forest
00:47:28.080 management planting more trees i think that's absolutely true i think that's great i think that
00:47:33.380 we should preserve our natural resources that is a human-centered issue we should plant more trees we
00:47:39.520 should have better forest management as the wildfires in california show he encourages nuclear energy he
00:47:46.100 encourages the deregulation of the environmental protection agency which is which is great because
00:47:52.240 the regulations that they have placed on businesses on people have been burdensome and have made it very
00:47:59.500 hard for businesses to survive and thrive in some areas he issued an executive order on water
00:48:05.020 infrastructure management most of the language in it is in line with the administration's stance on
00:48:09.740 cutting federal regulations to streamline processes that's something this administration has done
00:48:14.100 very well cut regulations to streamline processes uh he got out of the paris climate accord because he
00:48:20.760 believed that it was unfair put an unfair burden on the american taxpayer and it wasn't doing anything
00:48:25.780 because the biggest perpetrators of air pollution are not us it's china and india and they're never held
00:48:33.040 accountable for their actions it's only the united states that have to carry the the financial burden of all of
00:48:40.680 this so he got out of the paris climate accord because it wasn't doing anything this is what he
00:48:45.060 said when he exited paris accord and the the paris accord and the draconian financial and economic
00:48:50.820 burdens the agreement imposes on our country have made it necessary for him he is saying to get out
00:48:57.380 this includes ending the implementation of the nationally determined contribution and very importantly
00:49:01.840 the green climate fund which is costing the united states a vast fortune compliance with the terms of
00:49:06.600 the paris accord and the onerous energy restrictions it is placed on the united states could cost america
00:49:11.380 as much as 2.7 million lost jobs by 2025 according to the national economic research associates this
00:49:18.380 includes 440 000 fewer manufacturing jobs according to the same study by 2040 compliance with the paris
00:49:25.780 accord commitments put into place by the previous administration the obama administration would cut
00:49:30.720 production for the following sectors paper down 12 percent cement down 23 percent iron and steel down 38
00:49:36.200 uh and coal down 86 percent natural gas down 31 percent the cost of the economy at this time would be
00:49:43.820 close to three trillion dollars in lost gdp and 6.5 million industrial jobs while households would
00:49:50.480 have seven thousand dollars less income and in many cases much worse than that and of course joe biden
00:49:56.280 has said that he wants to re-enter the paris climate accord there's no reason to re-enter it except for
00:50:01.520 virtue signaling to say oh look how we're fighting climate change that's what a lot of climate change
00:50:05.740 policy is about and so it doesn't bother me that trump doesn't have some like cohesive economic
00:50:11.340 policy in order to combat climate change um yeah let's care for the environment let's do what we can
00:50:17.780 to reduce waste let's be responsible let's care for animals let's preserve our natural resources
00:50:22.780 absolutely let's prevent as much pollution as we possibly can but at the cost of human freedom
00:50:28.800 at the cost of jobs i don't think so i i don't think so um and remember the christian the biblical
00:50:36.280 perspective that we looked at on climate that is not where our fear or hope rests but we understand
00:50:43.320 that god is on his throne that he already has everything planned out he is suspended in the eternal
00:50:48.000 now he is not looking to the future and worried about what's going to happen his perfect plan of
00:50:53.660 redemption is unfolding without a hitch because he is the sovereign god um that over under which we are
00:51:00.980 and the entire earth is uh in control uh it is in his control it is under his reign so that's all i have
00:51:09.600 to say about all of that i understand for climate activists out there you probably don't listen to my
00:51:14.060 podcast probably won't like where i ended up on it um but just trying to give you a different
00:51:19.040 perspective you can go to the other side and you can hear that side as well okay i will see you guys
00:51:25.240 back here on wednesday and i will be talking it'll actually be an interview on wednesday so a little bit
00:51:31.060 different than what we typically do on wednesdays but i'll be talking to john cooper of skillet he is
00:51:37.060 awesome and you are just going to love that conversation and learn so much so
00:51:40.900 looking forward to you guys hearing that we will be back here then
00:51:43.980 you
