00:01:23.360 A lot of media coverage about Sound of Freedom.
00:01:26.240 First, just tell us about it.
00:01:27.560 Tell us why you made this movie for people who may not know.
00:01:30.140 Well, I spent 12 years as a special agent with the U.S. government, undercover operator, working child crimes cases.
00:01:39.040 Ten of those years were on the border, a southern border with Mexico.
00:01:42.920 And I just got frustrated with the bureaucracy, the inability to do my job appropriately because, you know, child trafficking knows no borders and boundaries, and yet sovereign governments do.
00:01:56.800 And so that creates a conflict.
00:01:58.200 And I was working a case in Colombia in 2012, also one in Haiti.
00:02:04.040 I thought I could make them both U.S. cases.
00:02:06.900 I overextended.
00:02:08.040 It probably went a little further than I was supposed to go.
00:02:09.840 And ultimately, I had to make a choice, either finish these cases that I believed would end in child rescues or come home and keep my job.
00:02:21.800 And my wife and I ultimately decided to quit the government job so we could do these two rescue operations.
00:02:30.220 So the Sound of Freedom is basically that story.
00:02:32.760 That's kind of how it kicks off.
00:02:34.440 In the end, it ended up being one of the largest rescue operations that we know of in Colombia.
00:02:40.200 And so that's kind of the basis for the film.
00:02:43.800 I never dreamed they'd make a movie about this.
00:02:46.260 But when the producers saw the story in the news, they came in and asked us if we would let them do our story on a feature film.

00:03:01.780 And how close is this to your actual experiences, the movie?
00:03:08.220 So, of course, they take liberties.
00:03:09.860 You know, I'm very open about the fact that they make Jim Caviezel.
00:03:14.660 Caviezel makes me look way better than I am.

00:03:19.040 But I will say that all the good guys are real.

00:03:25.040 These are all true stories.

00:03:29.460 But what happens to these kids is actually what happened to them.

00:03:33.860 So it is an accurate depiction of how this operation goes and how others go as well.

00:03:49.580 Sound of Freedom took the top spot at the U.S. box office on July 4th.
00:03:53.160 Beating out Disney's recently released and highly anticipated Indiana Jones.
00:03:56.300 And the dial of destiny as the as it was being reported, the new film scored 14.2 million at the box office versus Indiana Jones, 11.7 million.
00:04:08.500 I mean, that is pretty darn incredible, especially for a movie that people may describe as not exactly being mainstream.
00:04:18.460 Because it's not this big Hollywood production, even though it's very well made.
00:04:24.080 It's something that, you know, really a contingency of Americans supported and wanted to see.
00:04:30.200 And wow, it's been insanely, insanely successful.
00:04:33.940 It has.
00:04:36.180 In fact, the recent numbers through this weekend, we're now at $40 million in box office ticket sales.
00:04:43.420 And what's interesting, Ali, is Disney actually owned this movie for a while.
00:04:49.460 Fox made it.
00:04:50.400 Disney bought Fox.
00:04:51.700 And Disney was going to shelve it.
00:04:53.400 I mean, we were freaking out.
00:04:54.340 They're like, we don't have any interest in putting this out.
00:04:56.680 I mean, this movie's been done since 2020.
00:05:00.060 It was supposed to come out in 2020.
00:05:01.360 So the producers wrestled it away from Disney, got it back.
00:05:06.700 And then finally, we connected with Angel Studios.
00:05:09.280 And now we have this strange, almost poetic justice.
00:05:14.020 Now, here's Disney had the film.
00:05:16.020 And the film's beating their own, you know, their Indiana Jones.
00:05:19.800 And not by a little bit in the theaters where, you know, we're competing.
00:05:24.080 So it's kind of an interesting story.
00:05:27.680 Yeah, it is really interesting.
00:05:30.040 And it just goes to show that this is something that people want to know about.
00:05:34.480 I mean, it's the most really disturbing subject that you can really think of.
00:05:38.720 I'm not sure if anyone could conjure up anything more evil than child sex trafficking.
00:05:44.460 And yet, I think people look around and they see, this is a problem.

00:07:06.620 you are not hurting me or Jim Caviezel if that's what you think you're doing.

00:08:31.540 Sound of Freedom is a box office hit whose star embraces QAnon.
00:08:36.820 I mean, I don't even know if any of us can accurately define what QAnon is,
00:08:41.740 but it's something that's right-wing conspiracy theorists.
00:08:45.220 There's a bunch of Hollywood elites coming together to traffic children.
00:08:49.640 That's what they would call it.
00:08:51.840 The Washington Post says that Glenn Kessler,
00:08:54.260 the Washington Post fact checker, found no evidence for your claim.
00:08:58.640 Bowler's claim that 10,000 children are smuggled into the United States annually,
00:09:02.480 a line that apparently made its way into Trump's State of the Union dress in 2019.
00:09:06.960 I mean, what do you say to something like that?
00:09:10.400 Well, I mean, are you kidding me?
00:09:13.820 We have, look, the United States,
00:09:16.640 we are the number one consumer of child rape videos in the world.
00:09:22.500 Okay, so I call that the economy of pedophilia.
00:09:26.460 And now we have, over the last two years alone,
00:09:28.700 85,000 unaccompanied minors that show up at our southern border.
00:09:33.060 I was on that southern border for 10 years of my career.
00:09:35.860 I'm intimately connected and involved with what happens.
00:09:39.060 These kids show up.
00:09:40.140 Thousands of these kids, by the way,
00:09:41.760 according to the CBP statistics, are under five years old.
00:09:45.480 So what's a three- or four-year-old kid showing up at the border alone,
00:09:48.360 but they have a little piece of paper.

00:09:51.620 And what Health and Human Services is mandated to do is call that number,
00:09:55.960 no background check, no vetting, nothing other than call the number.
00:10:00.980 And it used to be that the sponsor has to come to the border to pick the kid up.

00:10:06.540 Now our taxpayer dollars are putting those kids on buses and planes

00:11:32.140 there were 10,359 trafficking situations reported.

00:11:40.180 were identified and those are probably undercounts.
00:11:43.880 So this is, I mean, this is a problem even far beyond
00:11:46.500 I think our greatest estimations can quantify.
00:11:50.080 You have The Guardian saying Sound of Freedom,
00:11:52.160 the QAnon-adjacent thriller Seducing America,
00:11:56.200 Rolling Stone.
00:11:57.640 Sound of Freedom is a superhero movie for dads with brain worms.
00:12:02.400 And for those who don't know, brain worms is kind of a term
00:12:05.020 used to deride people who you think are conspiracy theorists.
00:12:10.020 It says that there is a delusion of sex trafficking
00:12:13.940 that foments moral panic, according to the Rolling Stone,
00:12:17.540 for years over this grossly exaggerated epidemic
00:12:21.300 of child sex trafficking.
00:12:22.520 I happen to know that some of the journalists at the Rolling Stone,
00:12:28.000 some of them have written hit pieces about me.
00:12:30.680 Their work actually does have a history of defending pedophiles.
00:12:36.120 And so I'm not saying this particular journalist of this piece,
00:12:38.800 but other journalists certainly at the Rolling Stone do have that history.
00:12:43.140 So you don't really have to leap that far.
00:12:45.580 And then Jezebel is a left-wing outlet.
00:12:48.200 It says Sound of Freedom is an anti-child trafficking fantasy fit for QAnon.
00:12:54.900 And so, again, I mean, it looks really, really bad,
00:12:59.320 I think, for these journalists to basically just come out and say,
00:13:02.920 look, this is not something we want to talk about.
00:13:05.860 We don't want to shine a light on it.
00:13:07.720 We don't want you to see the atrocity of what's going on.
00:13:11.020 Of course, people are going to ask, wait, why?
00:13:14.260 Why is this your hill that you want to die on?
00:13:16.500 Why is this the thing that you want to defend?

00:13:20.920 Because if you're telling me that it's now a right-wing position
00:13:24.140 to be anti-child rape, anti-child sex trafficking,
00:13:28.820 that makes me some kind of right-wing extremist.
00:13:31.160 What they're going to find is that more and more people
00:13:33.580 will then voluntarily identify as a so-called right-wing extremist
00:13:37.820 because, yeah, most people or sane people, decent people,
00:13:42.120 are against child sex trafficking.
00:13:44.000 It's really telling what side they're putting themselves on.

00:15:48.020 the, they tried to go see the movie and the AMC, an AMC customer said that the theater discouraged
00:15:56.000 her from seeing Sound of Freedom by saying that the air conditioning was out.
00:16:01.400 And apparently that's happening at multiple theaters across the country.

00:16:06.440 I don't know if that's really happening, but strange and crazy if it is.

00:16:52.460 the Hill, Speaker McCarthy's office, and they were asking us, how do we wake people up, the

00:17:05.600 And I explained to them, you gotta, it's look at it through spiritual warfare.
00:17:09.220 It's, there's all these connection points from the sexualization of our kids with the
00:17:13.080 material they're giving me in school to this crazy idea that a 13 or 14 year old girl can,
00:17:17.700 can self mutilate and have, and consent to such a thing.
00:17:21.600 Why is that concerning?
00:17:22.620 Because there's nothing can, there's nothing at that point that's allowing them to consent
00:17:27.280 to have sex with a, with an adult pedophile.
00:17:29.940 You know, all these things, kids are in the cross hairs like never before.
00:17:34.140 And the film Sound of Freedom will convert people to see the truth that we need to put
00:17:39.220 kids in, in a place of absolute protection.
00:17:42.060 They should be the first and last thing we think about when we are devising any kind of

00:17:49.080 Instead, they seem to be in the cross hairs of everything we're doing.

00:18:03.920 It's like kids are always being asked to sacrifice their wellbeing, their safety.
00:18:08.880 I mean, whatever policy we're looking at, whether it's abortion, the rearrangement of the family,
00:18:13.860 kids are always being asked to sacrifice, to do difficult things on behalf of
00:18:18.140 adults who want to make money, adults who want to fulfill their desires, whatever it is.
00:18:23.360 And that is a disordering of society.
00:18:25.820 That's exactly the opposite.
00:18:27.660 The strong are supposed to sacrifice on behalf of the most vulnerable, not the other way around.
00:18:33.200 And of course, sex trafficking is the most grotesque example of that disordering.

00:18:39.640 It came out yesterday from the New York Post that a U.S. Marine was taken into custody after
00:18:46.000 a missing 14-year-old girl found in barracks at Camp Pendleton.
00:18:50.640 So a missing 14-year-old girl who has learning disabilities allegedly ran away from home on
00:18:55.480 June 9th was found recently inside the barracks at a Marine Corps base camp, Pendleton, in San
00:19:01.640 Diego, where she had been sold for sex and raped.
00:19:05.860 And so, I mean, this is happening in places where I think a lot of people don't want to
00:19:10.160 look.
00:19:10.760 A lot of people just don't want to think about.
00:19:13.800 And it doesn't always look like crossing the borders and in South America, which obviously
00:19:18.460 is terrible.
00:19:19.480 I mean, this stuff is happening in the United States with runaways, with young, vulnerable
00:19:24.400 girls and boys meeting predators online, being groomed.
00:19:28.960 I just don't think there are enough safeguards in place because there's not enough awareness.

00:20:00.040 Just as you described it, Ali, with these access points, often they begin online, runaways.
00:20:06.380 And we go through the whole spectrum on how parents and guardians and teachers should be
00:20:11.140 safeguarding their kids.
00:20:12.960 Instead, the very cultures and laws that protect kids are being chipped away at.
00:20:18.280 That's my biggest concern.
00:20:19.280 I used to think that I might be out of a job someday because perhaps by some miracle, we'd
00:20:24.220 be able to rescue all the kids.
00:20:25.400 Now I'm worried I won't have a job because all the laws required for me to do my job to
00:20:31.140 protect children are being chipped away at as we're normalizing child sex in this country.
00:20:36.900 So this culture war is what we have to win first to preserve even the ability to keep
00:20:42.340 your kids safe.
00:20:55.080 You know, like we were saying earlier, if there's one thing that the left and the right should be able to unite over, it's this.

00:21:06.880 There was another story that I just wanted to make sure that I mentioned because I saw
00:21:10.940 so many people talking about it.
00:21:12.360 I mean, talk about it being right under, you know, people's noses.
00:21:16.260 There was a Franklin in Franklin, Tennessee.
00:21:20.040 There's a soccer coach, Camilo Hurtado Campos.
00:21:23.540 He has now been booked on allegations of child rape and sexual exploitation of a minor.
00:21:28.260 Police described Campos as a popular soccer coach and a 20-year resident of Franklin, a city of about 87,000 people by Nashville.
00:21:36.820 During off hours, Campos frequented nearby school playgrounds in both neighborhoods where he had lived,
00:21:43.440 where he approached kids and recruited them as players on his team.
00:21:46.520 After gaining their trust, Campos invited many of the kids to his home where he drugged them and then raped them, putting this on video.
00:21:54.100 I mean, this goes back to what you're saying about the huge demand that we have for child sex abuse material here in the United States.
00:22:02.960 That is, I mean, it's enabled not just by some of the things that we're talking about, but even just the mainstreaming of pornography in general,
00:22:10.340 Pornhub, all this stuff, the access to that.
00:22:13.740 I mean, it just needs to be shut down completely.
00:22:17.220 So there is no incentive for things like this.
00:22:20.080 That's right. In the last eight years or so, there's been a 5,000% increase in child rape videos just in the United States alone.

00:22:31.660 And because there's a sex addiction that no one wants to talk about, and that sex addiction,
00:22:35.540 the reason they don't want to talk about it is because it's fueled by Hollywood.

00:22:48.400 The dopamine becomes less effective the more they watch adult legal porn to the point that they have to kind of jolt their system to get that dopamine endorphin hit out of the brain.

00:23:01.240 So that's why there's 2 million children forced into commercial sex because there's a demand that's that incredibly enormous.

00:23:13.380 We're going to see more and more of this until we stand up and shut down the porn industry.

00:23:21.520 Educate little boys especially to know that if you look at this stuff, you might as well be doing crack cocaine because that's what it's going to do to your brain eventually.
00:23:28.580 Yes, and just now with social media too, it becoming more and more accessible and the kind of violent material that young girls are being subjected to and are seeing and they're beginning to think it's normal, that that's a normal sexual relationship to engage in some kind of coercion or violence and this kind of perversion and depravity.

00:23:52.360 It's connected with, I think, the depravity and deception of gender ideology.
