SHNEAKO - SNEAKO Interviews Hussain Yee： Wisdom from a Chinese Muslim

00:00:00.000 Most of the people that I meet, the not yet muslim, I don't call them non-muslim.

00:00:06.720 You see, why I purposely use this term, not yet muslim, then they, why you call me not yet muslim?

00:00:17.180 I see, yeah, I hope one day you become muslim, no, no, no, no, no, no, don't worry, I'll pray for you.

00:00:23.360 Oh, don't pray for me. 0.88

00:00:25.100 I say, it's okay, free, free.

00:00:27.440 I don't charge any money.

00:00:28.900 Please don't pray for me.

00:00:31.620 I just want them to think why I use this word.

00:00:35.280 People in the political world that say that the Uyghurs aren't actually facing a genocide,

00:00:38.780 that it's all propaganda from CCP and CIA or whatever.

00:00:43.040 Are the Uyghurs actually being oppressed in China?

00:00:45.160 Is this...

00:00:45.780 No.

00:00:46.380 No. 1.00

00:00:47.140 So Chinese Muslims exist peacefully in China? 1.00

00:00:50.460 Alhamdulillah. 0.99

00:00:51.160 Alhamdulillah. 1.00

00:00:51.540 Our enemy, number one enemy, of course, shaitan. 0.96

00:00:58.460 The second is not communist, it's not socialism, it's not capitalism. 0.99

00:01:05.200 Our main enemy after shaitan, sh**. 1.00

00:01:08.980 Hey, I'm sorry. 0.97

00:01:21.540 great to meet you good how are you how are you you okay my grandson oh

00:01:37.180 how's your journey or so far from uh zaki night's place here easy it was yeah i mean it was a little

00:01:47.260 bumping on the road a little not too bad traffic was okay it was okay alhamdulillah no traffic at

00:01:51.960 all yeah we came here quickly we have good conversations on the way here yeah good good

00:01:56.220 i wanted to meet uh asian muslims and they told me they were good reverts here

00:02:17.120 and his story sounded inspiring.

00:02:20.680 Being around Muslims is just, it's refreshing. 0.94

00:02:25.080 You know, I spent all my time around the Khafer 1.00

00:02:27.160 and it's really a lot of propaganda, hatred right now.

00:02:34.200 I don't think people really realize

00:02:35.460 how quickly society is devolving in the West, really quickly.

00:02:40.260 I have a personal question for you.

00:02:42.240 Yeah.

00:02:42.420 So you've been around, like, you were there in New York

00:02:46.940 and stuff like that.

00:02:47.820 What made you want to even explore

00:02:50.800 becoming a Muslim?

00:02:54.540 I get asked this every day.

00:02:55.840 It's the Malcolm X autobiography.

00:02:57.420 I read that when I was 10.

00:02:59.440 It's the idea of transformation.

00:03:01.400 I love the revert story.

00:03:04.340 It's cool to see the elevation

00:03:07.060 because everybody in the West

00:03:08.860 acknowledges there's a problem

00:03:09.880 with the West.

00:03:10.400 Everyone knows there's something wrong,

00:03:11.700 but they don't know what it is.

00:03:12.540 They don't know how to pinpoint it.

00:03:13.380 and his story is a perfect example of how someone like that elevated and grew out of that from being

00:03:20.040 a street pen no but then like what happened from 10 years old to like four years ago i think it was

00:03:25.840 uh it was something i put off like when i was very young i i mean it was longer than 10 years

00:03:31.740 like 18 years ago now you know almost 28 i think i didn't put it off for any specific reason i'm

00:03:41.400 not around muslims i didn't i didn't really know what what i didn't want to learn more about what

00:03:45.400 it was i realized it's submission to god i grew up catholic i'm like oh okay that's what i am

00:03:50.680 it was really that simple you know i didn't pray to saints i didn't pray to mary i didn't pray to

00:03:54.440 jesus pray to god and even if you read catholic doctrine they have a document called nostre tape

00:04:01.640 where catholic leaders acknowledge that muslims worship the father we don't worship you know

00:04:07.640 know idols or son or any of this stuff that they say oh muslims worship the father so even though 0.73

00:04:14.940 if you read no sure you're like wait shouldn't they just become muslim yeah why are you worshiping

00:04:19.440 others than god so what was the shift oh when i realized that it was like okay well god is real 0.89

00:04:26.640 i'm not an atheist and i don't believe that there's three i don't worship a man

00:04:31.300 okay and then i looked into the life of uh prophet muhammad sallallahu sallam and

00:04:36.840 everything made sense yeah just this is it was the truth so it's just undeniable truth

00:04:42.820 oh yeah so are you hungry i am very hungry

00:04:47.260 i don't know where everyone's gonna sit

00:04:52.440 no more feet in the water are you kidding me

00:05:01.300 no more feed the warner this is the first thing allah said he will ask us in the day of judgment

00:05:09.780 before he asked other things about your connection with me about your salah salah is a daily

00:05:18.980 obligation we cannot fail we cannot say i don't know i don't know this i make mistake you can't

00:05:24.660 because it's a daily obligation it's like every day you eat and drink you cannot get wrong

00:05:31.300 You will know what to eat, what to drink. 0.57

00:05:34.940 But a lot of Muslims, naif, maybe they just hear say, follow the norm, follow the tradition, 0.99

00:05:43.340 without understanding what the Prophet said,

00:05:47.160 The Prophet said, when you want to pray, you worship Allah, perform your prayer,

00:05:55.760 like how you see me perform my prayer.

00:05:58.960 We don't live in a time, the Prophet.

00:06:01.300 But all his movement, he has made it very detailed from the beginning to the end of the prayer.

00:06:10.180 Alhamdulillah, he used this word.

00:06:14.820 Perform your heart. You've seen me perform my prayer.

00:06:19.060 He doesn't say recite what I recite, then all of us have big problem.

00:06:23.140 He recite long, long surah. We can recite any surah. This is convenient.

00:06:29.380 He just said the movement you cannot just do your way my way he was sent appointed by Allah to show us the way

00:06:41.500 like Moses was sent to Banik Israel and at his time you must follow time Abraham Abraham's way time Jesus

00:06:54.640 Jesus' way. The time of Prophet Muhammad until the end of the world. Follow his way. That's why Allah said, 0.66

00:07:04.480 Quli in kuntum tuhibbunullah mafattari uni yuhdikunullah. You say you love Allah, Allah put one condition, follow my

00:07:11.520 wrong you cannot say i love allah i follow my way no no no the way allah has ordained command us to 0.82

00:07:22.960 do come come bismillah let us have ordained to the camera look at this bro masha'allah

00:07:33.920 definitely not sure a little more sure yeah right shake it if i can ask you one question before uh

00:07:44.160 you start eating food before food because i just don't what is the relationship that asian culture

00:07:50.880 has with islam because i'm wondering if it's similar to white culture in america when white

00:07:57.360 people revert to islam they get a lot of backlash they say submit to rome instead you know you're

00:08:02.800 betraying your people you're a race traitor is there any of that pushback from here really the

00:08:09.920 asian it depends if you are in malaysia when you become a muslim they are worried our chinese i'm 0.99

00:08:17.600 talking about the chinese my people will be very worried that you become a malik

00:08:23.360 you see they want do not want you here you are chinese so be a chinese so they are very confused 1.00

00:08:32.460 they do not know how to differentiate between race and religion right so this is the confusion 0.71

00:08:40.940 now what caused them to have this fear because even one muslim have problem one muslim majority

00:08:52.200 are malay they thought that this religion belong to them so that's why the chinese i'm talking on

00:09:00.120 behalf of the chinese they're worried you become so and then one beautiful part in the teaching of

00:09:10.200 islam as also our asian culture is we have a very strong family values

00:09:16.840 Even how old you are

00:09:20.980 You must remember

00:09:23.300 You have parents

00:09:24.160 You must honor

00:09:25.880 Respect them

00:09:26.800 The family values

00:09:29.640 It's not saying

00:09:30.620 No I'm 18 I'm free

00:09:31.780 No no no

00:09:32.460 That's a very western thing

00:09:36.600 Yeah

00:09:36.820 You have to take care

00:09:37.780 Of your parents

00:09:38.280 You have to take care

00:09:39.200 Of your parents 1.00

00:09:39.700 Which is why Asian culture 1.00

00:09:40.940 Lines up with Islam 1.00

00:09:42.400 Pretty well 1.00

00:09:43.000 Correct

00:09:43.540 With the idea

00:09:44.580 There's many similarities

00:09:46.280 the only thing that the problem is because they don't understand i don't know i think the west 0.97

00:09:54.520 are more active in dakwa propagating islam but here sometimes born muslim are very passive

00:10:03.880 i know because i've been with my muslim friend from the 60s 50

00:10:09.960 i'm surrounded by muslims but sadly to say no one talked to me about islam

00:10:19.240 nobody it's my own interest to know about the spiritual world then i engage in buddhism

00:10:28.680 christianity that became muslim but you were a buddhist before i was born a buddhist yes

00:10:35.400 And it also seems like there's a lot of similarities in Buddhism.

00:10:39.840 I see the way that the Buddhist monks worship in Thailand and in Japan.

00:10:45.180 I don't know if all monks do this, but they put their head to the floor and they even go sujood in the direction of Buddha.

00:10:54.040 But it seems similar, even the way that they act.

00:10:57.060 And look at the way they shave their heads the way we do when we make umrah.

00:11:02.340 And they wear their yellow ihram. 0.66

00:11:04.460 But I think the major difference, because when I was, what's the word, Jahlil days?

00:11:17.500 I would wonder about Buddhism, because Buddhism seems like it has a lot of good values.

00:11:22.000 Peace and humbleness. 0.97

00:11:24.920 It doesn't seem like there's any racial superiority, which was a big turnoff with other faiths.

00:11:29.400 the one thing i don't like about buddhism not to be divisive but it's the idea that a monk will

00:11:37.100 retreat into the mountains and it was appealing back then that a monk goes there and just spends 0.63

00:11:42.200 all his day meditating and isolated and you could just be away from the peace and a lot of atheists

00:11:46.960 and westerners would be like oh i wish i was like them i just want to escape from it all or i want

00:11:50.560 to go on a rocket ship with elon musk and be in space and just escape the world but in islam we

00:11:54.780 believe we're supposed to be with the people like we're supposed to spread the word we're supposed

00:11:58.200 to exist with one another.

00:11:59.660 You must connect ourselves.

00:12:01.840 You must have the sharing spirit.

00:12:04.040 But that is not the teaching of

00:12:05.840 Guatemala Buddha. 1.00

00:12:08.120 What the monk is doing, the majority

00:12:10.000 of them, they don't really follow

00:12:11.740 his teaching.

00:12:13.140 They go to another extreme.

00:12:16.700 You see, meditation,

00:12:18.280 if you look at the teaching of

00:12:19.840 Guatemala Buddha, it's very different.

00:12:23.740 He went for meditation when he was

00:12:25.980 looking

00:12:26.600 for god he himself was confused because he was a prince stay in the palace the king informed 0.88

00:12:35.800 everyone any old people should not walk in front my son any sick people should not walk in front

00:12:42.900 my son. What my son has to see is happiness, young, healthy, no suffering, no pain, just happiness.

00:12:59.220 So the son just followed and enjoyed his life until he managed to went out with the king,

00:13:10.500 the father yeah we hope you enjoy your food it's delicious yeah yeah i'm listening i don't want to

00:13:17.380 interrupt it until the son managed to run out for a trip outside the palace and order was given 1.00

00:13:27.380 old people sick people cannot stand in front they must be hidden so that my son would not 0.99

00:13:36.020 see they will not suffer because pain or age is suffering 1.00

00:13:45.460 suddenly been young while you're walking you just run away

00:13:50.980 suddenly you saw a lot of things behind

00:13:54.260 yeah all is people suffering hunger now this trigger him

00:14:01.620 please start to trigger the sun that i must know the truth

00:14:10.020 the only way he can do he left the palace

00:14:15.860 there's his journey

00:14:20.420 and he met a lot of different people so-called priests meditation in the jungle with long hair

00:14:28.340 long nail everything long you say you cannot cut anything that god gives

00:14:37.220 if there's any drink

00:14:42.660 okay

00:14:47.460 so he cannot get any answer then she meditated under the wood tree that is the beginning of

00:14:55.540 meditation meditation to guatama buddha is like how musus went to the cave got to the prophet went to

00:15:05.060 hira a lot of people who want to look for something spiritual they have to isolate themselves

00:15:14.500 and find their inner peace so they just want to be by themselves and that's where he was

00:15:21.300 He was meditating under the bootry. They called Qalwa. In Islam, they called Qalwa.

00:15:27.300 I just isolate himself. That is when he got the enlightenment.

00:15:33.300 That's why when he had the awareness in Sanskrit, the word awareness is called Buddha.

00:15:44.300 When he was enlightened, the Enlightenment gave him the title, Buddha.

00:15:55.700 Buddha is not his name.

00:15:58.340 It's a title given.

00:16:08.700 I have a lot more I want to ask you, but I want to let you get the chance to eat.

00:16:12.980 Let's enjoy the food.

00:16:14.020 Let's enjoy the food.

00:16:16.160 Warner, take a second to eat the food.

00:16:18.180 I don't know.

00:16:19.280 I'm taking my food.

00:16:20.260 You have me.

00:16:24.560 Where does this rank in terms of food of your state here in Malaysia? 0.74

00:16:29.160 No, this is perfect.

00:16:29.980 I love it.

00:16:30.820 Cool.

00:16:31.420 This is my style. 1.00

00:16:33.760 I see you already eating like a Malaysian with your hands and stuff. 1.00

00:16:41.080 I'm saying in the chat, Warner mukbang. 0.99

00:16:42.640 I really love the iced tea.

00:16:46.640 Yeah?

00:16:47.640 Amazing.

00:16:48.640 Do you have some more?

00:16:49.640 Yes, please.

00:16:50.640 I didn't try it.

00:16:51.640 No, I'm not good.

00:16:53.640 There's a whole chat talking about you eating, bro, I couldn't.

00:16:56.640 Really?

00:16:57.640 Yes.

00:16:59.640 Chinese food?

00:17:01.640 Yeah, I like it.

00:17:03.640 Oh, this is Chinese food?

00:17:05.640 Yeah, this is Chinese. 0.95

00:17:06.640 This is Chinese Muslim food.

00:17:07.640 Chinese Muslim.

00:17:09.640 Malaysian.

00:17:10.640 What is this?

00:17:12.200 Chinese Muslim religion.

00:17:13.480 I'm going to have two.

00:17:26.680 One, the Chinese Muslim, Malaysian Chinese.

00:17:30.500 One, you have the Chinese Muslim from China.

00:17:35.180 What's the truth about, this is a long question,

00:17:38.240 But I love the Uyghur people.

00:17:41.520 The Uyghurs have great food.

00:17:43.120 And a lot of times they get called the Chinese Muslims.

00:17:45.620 But it's hard to find information about the Uyghur people.

00:17:48.720 I don't know if Malaysians know that much, but I have people in the political world that say that the Uyghurs aren't actually facing a genocide, that it's all propaganda from CCP and CIA or whatever.

00:18:01.680 Are the Uyghurs actually being oppressed in China?

00:18:04.220 Is this?

00:18:05.100 No.

00:18:05.580 No. 1.00

00:18:05.680 so Chinese Muslims 1.00

00:18:08.040 exist peacefully in China 0.99

00:18:10.140 Alhamdulillah 1.00

00:18:11.100 I saw the Eid turn out

00:18:13.520 that was beautiful to see 1.00

00:18:14.740 I saw the mosques in China

00:18:17.580 and how many people came out for Eid prayer

00:18:19.380 exceeded my expectations

00:18:21.600 you have

00:18:23.740 Muslim population in China

00:18:25.580 more than Malaysian

00:18:27.540 whole population 3 times

00:18:29.380 so there's 90 million

00:18:31.760 Chinese Muslims

00:18:32.480 there's about 200 million

00:18:35.520 200 million Chinese Muslims?

00:18:40.540 No.

00:18:41.080 Muslim. 1.00

00:18:42.400 Involve the Uyghur 1.00

00:18:43.700 with the Chinese Muslims. 1.00

00:18:47.100 There are two types of Muslims.

00:18:49.500 The Uyghur,

00:18:51.200 you don't call Chinese Muslims.

00:18:53.080 Okay. 1.00

00:18:53.640 They don't look Chinese. 1.00

00:18:55.280 They are all the 1.00

00:18:56.060 Turkish, 1.00

00:18:58.780 Turkmenistan

00:18:59.620 people.

00:19:03.140 Chinese Muslim

00:19:04.220 is known as

00:19:05.340 the Huay. There are two groups, the Huay and the Han, the Han economists.

00:19:11.340 When you say Huay, all the Chinese in China know they are Muslim.

00:19:17.340 They go by the surname, the Huay. 0.77

00:19:23.340 This is very good, right? 0.98

00:19:28.340 So I give Sri Dawah

00:19:31.820 And in my experience, Sri Dawah 1.00

00:19:33.400 Asians rarely ever come up to me 1.00

00:19:36.440 To learn about Islam 0.76

00:19:37.600 Why is that? 1.00

00:19:38.440 Why is it that Asian people? 1.00

00:19:40.100 They're not interested in seeking anything outside of themselves 1.00

00:19:44.500 Can you explain that?

00:19:47.460 My people

00:19:48.180 I just talk on my behalf

00:19:49.980 On the Chinese 1.00

00:19:50.800 Their lies is about making money 1.00

00:19:54.760 Got money, got God

00:19:57.260 no money no god don't talk about god first talk about money so that's why they they work they're

00:20:05.900 just interested to do business work until they get what they want then you want to talk about

00:20:13.660 the spiritual set you can talk so money first spirituality yeah and you see in china in history

00:20:23.580 you see until now 0.98

00:20:25.400 the Chinese 0.99

00:20:25.920 when you meet each other

00:20:27.020 how do they greet each other

00:20:29.740 like we

00:20:30.160 good morning

00:20:32.780 good evening

00:20:33.300 they don't wish like that

00:20:35.380 what do they say

00:20:36.220 they wish

00:20:36.660 have you eaten

00:20:37.380 that's close

00:20:39.100 why they use that word

00:20:41.680 they were very poor

00:20:43.140 once upon a time

00:20:44.860 because of the war

00:20:46.020 they don't have enough food

00:20:48.560 to survive

00:20:49.060 are you talking about 1.00

00:20:50.160 Chinese

00:20:50.600 I know what period in history

00:20:52.180 Mao

00:20:52.620 before Mao and then Mao came

00:20:55.700 he is as a farmer

00:20:57.860 he used this motion

00:20:59.740 to bring up

00:21:01.300 most of the Chinese to get strong and together 1.00

00:21:03.940 and fight against 0.98

00:21:05.540 those 0.95

00:21:07.000 from the foreign country 0.95

00:21:09.660 to free themselves

00:21:11.420 their food

00:21:15.020 is very limited

00:21:16.640 that's how they

00:21:19.100 they control 1.00

00:21:20.780 the Chinese 0.83

00:21:22.820 earlier. 1.00

00:21:24.860 And that's why

00:21:25.400 anytime

00:21:26.440 when they see each other,

00:21:27.880 first thing

00:21:28.400 they want to make sure

00:21:29.260 you have eaten.

00:21:31.380 That's why

00:21:32.020 they ask,

00:21:32.720 have you eaten?

00:21:34.220 I have to go to China. 0.97

00:21:36.360 Yeah, you do.

00:21:39.540 My grandparents

00:21:40.400 are Filipino.

00:21:41.180 They'd say the same thing. 0.85

00:21:42.740 As soon as I went

00:21:43.640 to my grandma's house,

00:21:44.780 have you eaten?

00:21:45.560 Have you eaten?

00:21:46.500 First,

00:21:47.080 as soon as you step in.

00:21:48.840 You look then,

00:21:49.840 you need to eat now.

00:21:50.620 When food is concerned, something is very important. 1.00

00:22:00.620 The second thing that happened, because Muslims are not productive. 1.00

00:22:10.620 The Muslims in Asia in general, they don't do that. 0.97

00:22:15.620 you talk about islam among themself among themselves they have a lot of activities in the mall

00:22:25.460 but to the not yet muslim

00:22:29.380 our my time in the six in the fifties and early sixties

00:22:35.940 they will consider we who are not a Muslim or Malay, you are a disbeliever, Qalas, you are gone, gone to

00:22:52.560 nobody come and tell, do you know anything about Islam? do you want to know about Islam? nobody

00:22:58.200 you. It's nafsi-nafsi. You know? They look at you, Chinese, 0.98

00:23:04.600 call us. From when, go to hell. 1.00

00:23:12.840 So, basically, to recap, you're saying that they, their main priority is money, 1.00

00:23:18.920 and then when they see the Muslim from their experience, the Muslim is not as productive, 0.71

00:23:23.240 He's not chasing the money. 0.99

00:23:25.160 So they have no interest in that.

00:23:27.220 Because they want the riches.

00:23:30.440 That's not beneficial for the state. 0.93

00:23:33.340 And then what is the religion of China?

00:23:35.280 The majority of Chinese, what do they believe?

00:23:40.120 People, Buddhism did not start in China,

00:23:44.460 it started in India.

00:23:46.980 Then migrate to China.

00:23:49.740 They have the Taoist,

00:23:52.100 the Confucius,

00:23:53.240 But there is more on the philosophic.

00:23:59.240 Actually, you don't even have this term atheism, communism, atheism, you don't have it.

00:24:10.240 They don't say communism either? They don't have communism in China?

00:24:14.240 They have, but the term is misused by a lot of people.

00:24:19.240 If you go back to what Allah said, what happened from the time of Adam, nobody denied God.

00:24:29.240 Nobody said there is no God.

00:24:33.240 Even shaitan believed in Allah. 0.93

00:24:35.240 Correct?

00:24:36.240 Correct.

00:24:37.240 Who is the one who mislead us?

00:24:39.240 Shaitan.

00:24:40.240 He believed in Allah.

00:24:42.240 the only thing he he he he was cursed by all he refused to prostrate to Adam

00:24:52.560 other is okay he's okay but I don't know now I'm better than him very proud

00:25:00.000 do you think the people around us don't believe they do believe but they are confused which God

00:25:07.680 should i believe that's why prophet was sent from time to time to remind the people come back to

00:25:15.200 allah so some accept some refuse because of tradition so in in asia do they also believe

00:25:28.240 that islam is an arab religion some of them one majority of muslims are asian i know

00:25:35.280 do they know that right now they know because it started from there

00:25:38.960 oh so they think that oh you're trying to become part of yeah that's why you see some of the

00:25:45.200 malaysian now majority like to wear abaya jumba

00:25:54.000 that's why we say why must you wear jumba like in arab you're not in arab

00:25:57.360 this is what happened in china lately when they come to know about islam

00:26:06.100 you want to know more because you're very confused the west always

00:26:14.260 say anything to do islam terrorists extremists fundamentalists we have all the lists there

00:26:21.520 islamists they start saying that's a new term islamist 0.97

00:26:24.540 hmm 0.82

00:26:27.580 anything happened bad around the world first they attacked muslim even 1.00

00:26:32.140 it's the hardest 0.99

00:26:34.140 in china too 0.99

00:26:35.900 in china they followed

00:26:38.940 and if so happened

00:26:42.460 you have also group of this luga group who has been who's been outside

00:26:49.500 for a long time 0.99

00:26:51.420 Now, the rest is using them to do propaganda.

00:27:06.280 Some people have a new friend of mine, they call him Professor Jang.

00:27:11.900 I'm not sure if you know.

00:27:13.680 I'm learning from him. 0.91

00:27:15.040 And he calls himself Gnostic.

00:27:17.400 So he believes in God, but doesn't believe in specific religion.

00:27:21.460 sometimes they call it the monad the god before god or consciousness from within

00:27:31.620 it's a term people are very confused people play with them today

00:27:36.100 you then say a confused your concept of god

00:27:41.540 this god is the true god everybody say god christians say jesus is god

00:27:47.780 they said the Buddhists said Buddha is no

00:27:53.540 what are my Buddha never called anybody to worship him

00:27:59.700 but the followers after that this idol worshipper never start from that it starts from the blind

00:28:13.220 who want to claim to be the other gurus, the other monks, so they cannot say I am better than Guatama, so they put a statue, they start to say I have direct communication issues. 0.71

00:28:33.220 That is the beginning of human who is building their own cult to confuse the public and to claim that they are God. 0.90

00:28:47.220 Many things even look in Islam. Islam is a very clear-cut religion here to guide us with a straight forward guiding. 0.66

00:28:59.220 no hanky-panky 0.99

00:29:06.100 we believe in prophet we believe in but we don't worship any of them 0.96

00:29:12.420 we believe in Jesus we don't worship him we believe Muhammad we don't worship

00:29:16.580 we worship Allah that is the difference you make it very clear

00:29:21.380 When other people were confused

00:29:25.880 It's because

00:29:27.500 I'll give you a simple example

00:29:29.940 Can you imagine

00:29:31.060 When the Prophet was appointed

00:29:34.100 By Allah to be his messenger

00:29:35.940 When he was 40 years old

00:29:38.940 13 years

00:29:40.840 He was

00:29:41.540 Spreading the word of a mark

00:29:43.440 To his people 1.00

00:29:44.640 The Jahiliya 1.00

00:29:45.580 In Mecca 0.99

00:29:47.360 99% are non-Muslim 1.00

00:29:51.000 He was a prophet, then he called his wife, and wife accept, he called his good friend, invite him to Islam, Abu Bakar accept, he called his cousin Ali, and they accept, just, you can count by your finger, the beginning, 13 years he was in Mecca, calling his people, showing them good example, then he left to Medina for 10 years, 1.00

00:30:21.560 His mission complete in 23 years. Can you imagine the whole Muqqa become Muslim? 0.90

00:30:30.760 Medina Muslim. Paif Muslim. Why? Because everyone in the time of Prophet 0.97

00:30:41.240 propagate islam call other back to allah 1.00

00:30:48.440 see in a short while the muslim population spread to persia to rome

00:30:58.600 this is how fast but what happened to us later on when we all majority who are born muslim

00:31:05.320 they have forgotten

00:31:07.380 this

00:31:08.500 important mission

00:31:10.460 that

00:31:11.840 Islam is not just 0.93

00:31:13.300 for you 0.62

00:31:13.860 for me

00:31:14.460 for everyone

00:31:15.400 it's our duty

00:31:17.940 to share

00:31:18.580 Allah give guidance

00:31:20.560 to whomever

00:31:21.460 he like

00:31:22.120 but our duty

00:31:23.660 is to convey

00:31:24.660 the message

00:31:25.240 we fail to do that

00:31:27.180 it's the fastest 1.00

00:31:29.320 quorum religion 0.99

00:31:29.960 still you see

00:31:31.520 who opened

00:31:33.000 the door of this 0.95

00:31:33.800 is Allah 1.00

00:31:34.500 the enemy of islam trying to create fear into people to islam the more they create this 1.00

00:31:43.800 fitna people want to know more about islam you see is it how allah's plan yeah it's amazing 0.98

00:31:51.580 like for instance in america 9 11 was an operation to you know in their eyes destroy islam and 0.55

00:31:58.900 destroy the image of the song yeah but that actually was the catalyst of what made islam

00:32:05.860 worldwide yeah because they're like hey we hear about you know this isn't that let me read the 0.91

00:32:10.980 ground and they read the ground they realize the news is has been feeding them yes all propaganda 0.92

00:32:17.380 that's why people start to get look for islam it's because of the bad propaganda with bad 0.93

00:32:24.580 intention open the mind the heart that i want to know more about this what this terrible religion is 0.86

00:32:31.940 what kind of people are they you know then you start to read that's why there was a attempt 0.99

00:32:39.380 quran is not enough in america people are asking that's why you make some people you see in the

00:32:48.660 In the world, you don't have any Muslim burn the Buddhist Dharma, Hindu scripture, or Bible.

00:32:55.660 We now do all the Torah. All the Torah. We don't do that. 0.52

00:33:00.660 But you see people burn the Quran. Why? Because it's true.

00:33:06.660 Why? The fear. The fear towards the truth.

00:33:11.660 But why do you think they fear the truth?

00:33:14.660 The majority of them are lying, lying to the whole world, people are confused, they don't want people to know, I don't know because I engage in a lot of interfaith dialogue in the West.

00:33:29.660 At the end of the discussion, the only thing they fear is because of the truth.

00:33:37.660 Allah said, the truth from Allah, don't have doubt, don't fear, just convey the truth, but the truth is bitter.

00:33:52.660 That's why the Prophet said, speak out the truth even it's bitter.

00:34:01.660 Because again, it goes against your desires, you like this, you like that, but the truth is different.

00:34:14.940 God never followed us, we have to follow him. Islam didn't belong to us, it belonged to Allah. 0.94

00:34:23.580 But today, the way the Muslim behaved like Islam belonged to them. 1.00

00:34:26.860 that is the confusion started because of that then you have another problem the Asian Muslim

00:34:42.300 want Islam follow Asian value culture the West want them to follow the Arab want Islam to follow

00:34:52.860 Arab Islam.

00:34:55.520 That is where we went wrong. 1.00

00:34:57.920 I said Islam never 1.00

00:34:59.240 followed anybody. We are all

00:35:01.100 Muslims. We are

00:35:03.180 not Islam. Islam belongs to Allah. 1.00

00:35:05.380 We are the followers. 1.00

00:35:07.340 Whoever follows Islam, you don't

00:35:09.180 say I am Islam, but you say

00:35:10.980 I am a Muslim.

00:35:13.300 Make it very clear.

00:35:15.180 That's why Allah asked us,

00:35:16.540 ...

00:35:17.480 ...

00:35:18.480 whose speech, whose word is most than the people who da'a illallah, call others to Allah.

00:35:28.480 Wa'amila saliha and the caller must set good example.

00:35:33.480 That's why extra speak louder than words.

00:35:36.480 That's why the Prophet, because of his extra personality, in 23 years, 0.92

00:35:42.480 Can you imagine 300 of our idols around the Ka'bah disappeared except Ka'bah 1.00

00:35:51.480 Not we go and pull it down, everybody who come to Islam say enough 1.00

00:35:57.480 Throw away all these false gods 1.00

00:36:01.480 You see the power of the truth? 0.99

00:36:05.480 Masha Allah, it's unbelievable but actions speak louder than words

00:36:11.040 they prove to them this is what is now honesty trustworthy all the good things the prophet

00:36:19.920 demonstrate in front respect their elders love the young respect honor your neighbors 0.97

00:36:27.840 honor the woman woman right was championed by islam before that women have no rights 0.66

00:36:35.120 now in the west they say women's right, women's right 0.93

00:36:38.940 we forget that men also have right

00:36:40.440 but why we don't fight for our right

00:36:44.680 because we know the right was given

00:36:46.440 even the Muslim woman's right has been given

00:36:48.860 women's right has been championed by our promise

00:36:53.600 because the jahiliyyah also said

00:36:57.180 who are these women 0.79

00:36:58.760 we bought them, we wear them 1.00

00:37:02.200 we change, we throw them 1.00

00:37:04.040 They thought that woman is like a dress, a garment. 1.00

00:37:07.300 It's like a property. 1.00

00:37:09.380 You buy them, you own them, you control them. 0.99

00:37:13.880 In Hinduism, they say a woman must be a slave to the husband. 0.98

00:37:18.620 If a man died, better you die together. 0.98

00:37:22.440 Yes. 0.58

00:37:24.720 If they got sick, if anything happened bad to the man, they said you are the cause.

00:37:31.580 Everything 1.00

00:37:33.760 Woman 1.00

00:37:34.580 Become the victim 1.00

00:37:36.100 Islam said no 1.00

00:37:38.080 The Islam protects the woman 1.00

00:37:40.180 Yeah 1.00

00:37:40.620 It honors the woman

00:37:41.840 Honor to the woman

00:37:42.780 To the extent that the Prophet said

00:37:44.800 To the man

00:37:45.580 You must honor your mother

00:37:48.260 Who should I respect first

00:37:51.220 Mother and father 1.00

00:37:52.480 Mother

00:37:53.020 Who again

00:37:54.480 Mother

00:37:55.100 Who again

00:37:55.900 Mother

00:37:56.440 Beautiful

00:38:00.260 but all this good value

00:38:02.860 is not being shed

00:38:04.120 being promoted

00:38:05.360 so with western propaganda

00:38:08.800 they basically are trying

00:38:10.960 to re-victimize the women again

00:38:12.560 but do it in a way

00:38:14.880 where the woman doesn't even know

00:38:16.480 that she's a victim of the propaganda

00:38:19.020 yeah

00:38:19.540 it's like another level of

00:38:22.700 another level of deception

00:38:25.620 and the reason

00:38:27.180 they target the women is because 0.99

00:38:28.740 if you corrupt the women, you can corrupt the children, right? 1.00

00:38:30.900 Correct. Because they are the 1.00

00:38:32.660 mother, they are like a school for the

00:38:34.640 children. They are the one

00:38:36.340 who is teaching, 0.89

00:38:39.140 molding,

00:38:40.780 coaching the children.

00:38:42.560 They are the madrasah, the school.

00:38:45.940 So the reason 1.00

00:38:46.760 why they want to corrupt the women is because 1.00

00:38:48.500 in reality, they want to get to the children. 1.00

00:38:50.440 Yep.

00:38:52.580 Simple as that.

00:38:55.600 So what? 1.00

00:38:56.200 A woman without a man is an easy 0.90

00:38:58.280 target for the shaitan yes so the fitna is greater the challenge is great 0.98

00:39:11.640 and then what happened again we can talk about women

00:39:20.280 why did the prophet also warn us about the woman if you are not careful

00:39:24.520 the greatest 1.00

00:39:27.680 fitna

00:39:28.420 to the man

00:39:29.540 is also

00:39:30.680 now

00:39:33.300 if you look

00:39:34.540 into the whole scenario

00:39:37.320 I always say

00:39:40.280 to a lot of my friends

00:39:41.920 our enemy

00:39:44.100 number one enemy

00:39:46.460 of course

00:39:47.660 shaitan

00:39:48.460 the second

00:39:51.800 is not communist,

00:39:55.780 it's not

00:39:56.660 socialism, it's not

00:39:58.840 capitalism, not 0.86

00:40:00.780 the ism-ism.

00:40:02.740 But our main 0.96

00:40:04.660 enemy after shaitan,

00:40:06.520 is

00:40:07.780 I'm sorry. 1.00

00:40:12.340 It's our stupidism. 0.99

00:40:17.160 We don't have knowledge. 1.00

00:40:19.340 Knowledge is power.

00:40:21.800 When you have knowledge, but again, knowledge can corrupt.

00:40:27.560 When I am saying about knowledge, I am focusing on pure knowledge.

00:40:33.880 Uncorrupted knowledge is what Allah said in his book of Quran.

00:40:39.000 And what the Prophet said in his sunnah, pure knowledge is power.

00:40:44.680 You can say anything, you, the Christian, communist, socialist, any ism-ism, you can come, but because I have knowledge, I will not just follow anything blindly, because I have the knowledge to guide me, and what God said cannot be wrong, what I say can be right, can be wrong, what any one of us said can be right,

00:41:13.680 but what God said

00:41:15.780 cannot be wrong

00:41:16.760 so that's why

00:41:19.540 here our focus

00:41:20.960 to educate all our

00:41:23.580 brothers and sisters 1.00

00:41:24.780 the not yet Muslim also come here

00:41:27.800 and learn

00:41:28.920 because our class is open for everybody

00:41:31.620 this is the

00:41:33.820 center of learning for everybody

00:41:35.480 you have also

00:41:37.560 the reverse, the new 1.00

00:41:39.700 Muslim and you have born Muslim 0.98

00:41:41.920 local and foreigner

00:41:43.560 This is a place we open for everybody. Come and learn. It's free. Knowledge is for everybody.

00:41:56.060 So when anybody learn and they want to be a Muslim, then we will remind them. 0.99

00:42:03.660 Do you have family? Do you have parents? If you have, please inform your parents. 1.00

00:42:09.360 We don't like you to do things secretly.

00:42:15.100 Be proud of what you want to be.

00:42:18.420 You are big enough to decide what is good for you.

00:42:22.080 But I want you to be honest, transparent to your parents.

00:42:27.380 This is our value here.

00:42:30.160 Why?

00:42:31.160 Because if you don't do it, they don't know.

00:42:34.680 The minute you go home, you're going to stay with them.

00:42:37.920 going to prepare the same food what are you going to tell them what are you going to tell them

00:42:45.040 oh i'm not hungry today you know i just have dinner outside

00:42:53.680 how about tomorrow are you going to tell the parents oh i so you create more problem to yourself

00:43:02.320 When you are out front with them, honest, Papa, Mama, I found God, I believe in Allah.

00:43:11.320 Of course, they got shocked, they are not happy.

00:43:13.320 At least you are honest and transparent with them.

00:43:17.320 Then you gain respect.

00:43:19.320 That is how I, here we teach all our people.

00:43:23.320 Don't hide from your parents, let them know.

00:43:27.320 The fear only once, correct?

00:43:30.320 You overcome that fear, you finish. Fear Allah more. 0.87

00:43:34.640 Because of that, we have happened in our center here. 1.00

00:43:40.540 One sister want to be a Muslim.

00:43:42.620 She got mother, brother, she agreed to bring them.

00:43:46.200 In six months, everyone become Muslim. 1.00

00:43:49.900 We have a incident. One sister want to be a Muslim. 1.00

00:43:53.240 I said, please, invite your family.

00:43:57.520 Let them be around.

00:43:58.780 Let them ask us

00:44:00.520 What they want to ask

00:44:01.800 Don't hide

00:44:03.120 How many came?

00:44:05.940 20-year-old came

00:44:07.120 The father, the mother, the auntie

00:44:10.540 The uncle, grandfather, grandmother, cousin

00:44:12.720 Beautiful

00:44:15.400 So I will talk to them

00:44:18.720 Because I don't make a person

00:44:21.240 A Muslim just

00:44:22.020 I want you to understand

00:44:25.380 The foundation first

00:44:26.680 Clear the doubt

00:44:28.160 You are ready, then we move forward.

00:44:33.240 And if your family is around, I will ask them any question, A, B, C, any question, is

00:44:39.580 your right to ask?

00:44:40.580 Don't worry.

00:44:41.580 Nothing sensitive to us.

00:44:44.160 Islam is very transparent and open for everybody.

00:44:47.840 That's how we do our revision here.

00:44:50.400 You are ready?

00:44:51.400 You ask us.

00:44:52.400 No problem. 1.00

00:44:54.740 We cannot force her to be a Muslim. 1.00

00:44:57.200 If she felt that or feel that she has been forced, we stop her. 1.00

00:45:02.320 Have food and go home.

00:45:05.200 We prove to them that there is no compulsion in religion.

00:45:09.960 We are here to guide everybody.

00:45:13.760 At the end of the day, the one who opened the heart of everyone is Allah, not us.

00:45:18.920 We are here to share.

00:45:21.080 Don't hide.

00:45:22.080 Don't teach people.

00:45:23.080 Hey, secret.

00:45:24.080 Don't tell people.

00:45:25.080 Don't do that.

00:45:26.960 in the west they like to criticize as a prophet of allah is that the same thing that happens in the

00:45:31.520 east sometimes but not that yeah i'm they did not do that open here i said the city because

00:45:39.800 it's muslim majority they're worried they will have problem they're worried about consequences 0.80

00:45:46.180 yeah if they speak like yeah but you have some of them one two of them may try to be funny 0.99

00:45:52.160 to try to

00:45:54.520 to

00:45:54.680 to church

00:45:57.440 play with fire

00:45:58.800 but in reality

00:46:03.500 we say we muslim we don't do that

00:46:05.800 even how wrong you are

00:46:07.340 it's between you and what you believe

00:46:09.500 so at the end of the day what is very

00:46:13.760 important is

00:46:14.940 knowledge

00:46:16.240 we must convey

00:46:19.140 the teaching of islam not based on

00:46:21.600 emotion, feeling

00:46:23.400 guided by Qur'an

00:46:25.220 You know, it's interesting

00:46:27.320 you mentioned how Shaytan is the enemy 0.55

00:46:29.680 of mankind. It reminds me 1.00

00:46:31.580 of the verse of Suri Yassin

00:46:32.680 where Allah says in the Qur'an that

00:46:35.160 O children of Adam, didn't I not 0.99

00:46:37.520 tell you that Shaytan is 1.00

00:46:39.480 indeed your sworn enemy 0.97

00:46:41.660 and yet you chose

00:46:43.620 him as an ally. You took

00:46:45.660 your enemy as an ally. 0.97

00:46:48.240 SubhanAllah.

00:46:48.840 Yeah, Allah knows everything and he is talking to us. If anything happened in the day of Jashrut, you don't blame anyone except yourself.

00:47:01.840 Even shaitan said to us, he will try to whisper and mislead us. When we follow, you know what he said?

00:47:13.840 He said, I have nothing to do with this. I wash my hands. I fear Allah.

00:47:33.840 I fear Allah, and then he said, I only whispered to you, this, this, that, you go and follow

00:47:43.120 me for what? The minute you follow him, you know what he said, I'll hate you for that.

00:47:51.760 God have warned you about me. You still follow me. You still the dialogue, what Allah

00:48:00.360 in the Quran is very interesting. And in the Day of Judgment, you know what Allah

00:48:06.600 said to us? In the Quran,

00:48:18.600 We are so sad. God is going to punish and put us in hell. Because we disbelieve and we

00:48:27.520 then we are not happy. God, O Allah, please send the shaitan who have turned us as string when we are in the dunia because of him we disbelieve in you, we don't obey you. 0.99

00:48:45.520 Please bring them in front of us now. 1.00

00:48:49.520 Why? Because we want to step on them. We want to hit them hard. 0.51

00:48:59.520 Then shaitan, Allah command, come. Immediately shaitan said, who call you to follow me? 1.00

00:49:10.520 Did I command you to follow me?

00:49:13.880 Allah warn you about me.

00:49:17.180 I also declare you as my enemy.

00:49:20.880 Allah promised you.

00:49:22.620 His promise is true.

00:49:24.720 I can make many promises,

00:49:27.520 but I'm shaitan.

00:49:32.680 Who are you going to follow me?

00:49:34.200 I didn't force it.

00:49:35.880 I just whisper.

00:49:38.960 No, I didn't come. 1.00

00:49:40.520 If you don't, stop saying Allah, I'm going to choke you to death. 0.99

00:49:47.520 No, and just relax. No problem. 0.99

00:49:51.520 You don't want to drink alcohol. You drink a bit. You don't get drunk. No problem.

00:49:57.520 When Allah said, stay away. 0.99

00:50:00.520 But you go and listen to me for what? 0.98

00:50:04.520 So we are at the end of the day, we become a loser here and there, we thought that we were, Allah will be just to us, then shaitan will come, and shaitan don't blame me, but it's good, that's why I said, our enemy is our own jahiliya, our stupidism, ignorant, cause us to be a victim for 0.98

00:50:34.500 do you think society was different before like do you think there was a time where society was 0.99

00:50:39.060 more knowledgeable and now wouldn't become ignorant or society has always been ignorant 0.83

00:50:43.300 yeah i think that's why that society before we call jahiliya jahiliya is not that they are ignorant 0.95

00:50:50.180 about survival about business they have doing business but they are ignorant about the truth

00:50:56.900 the whole truth but the truth are not they believe in god you don't have atheists

00:51:05.140 communists in the beginning this is a new term jahiliya people who worship idols

00:51:14.100 that's why you call them the jahiliya musyrikin why you call musyrikin because they worship

00:51:22.340 something beside allah they got idols all these are idols that's why you have 360 idols around

00:51:35.780 we have the tall one short one fat one thin one sleeping one we have so many different idols

00:51:43.220 God don't look like any one of us now Allah make it so clear it seems like people in society don't

00:52:06.140 really change because if you look at the stories of the prophets they all say the same thing

00:52:09.980 correct they repeat the same thing over every generation of human beings they always say oh

00:52:16.780 you know are you trying to steer us away from the tradition of our forefathers correct

00:52:22.620 and the same thing like when you talk about the asian culture it's the same

00:52:28.140 people from the beginning of time to know it's like it's like it's just new term

00:52:32.060 New logo, new brand, but the same character.

00:52:41.220 So there's almost a bit of war between culture and religion?

00:52:48.280 Not just like that. 0.99

00:52:50.640 The ongoing struggle is about the truth and falsehood, haqq and baqq, that's all. 1.00

00:52:59.620 The culture has no problem.

00:53:02.620 You see, Islam is not here to demolish culture.

00:53:06.620 Allah said, I created you male and female.

00:53:11.620 And make you into nation and tribes. 1.00

00:53:14.620 I make you different. 0.99

00:53:16.620 Every race, every tribe have their own culture.

00:53:21.620 And they speak different languages.

00:53:24.620 And you have different color, skin color. 0.97

00:53:28.620 said everything clear but any culture conflict with islam you have to abandon the culture in the 0.86

00:53:39.260 jahiliya is what one of the culture very popular culture in jahiliya before islam is what you 0.77

00:53:46.300 remember is when you have a newborn baby girl is more honorable to bury them alive that is the culture 1.00

00:53:56.220 woman again baby girl you better bury them alive because they will bring shame to the family 1.00

00:54:05.660 that is jahiliya that's the type of ignorance ignorance those are the arabs doing this yes the 1.00

00:54:12.460 culture that is their so when you become muslim you cannot follow that culture because killing 1.00

00:54:21.820 innocent life is forbidden i just have a thought right now like subhanallah like allah turned the 0.96

00:54:27.180 alabs from people that would when they would have female children bury them alive to now they're the

00:54:35.580 most honored in the house all because the deen of all they did because the truth completely switched 0.91

00:54:43.100 them from yes as soon as the daughter was born they think the daughter is going to bring shame 0.89

00:54:47.660 to their family let's bury them and then now when islam comes no they're the most honored yeah 0.96

00:54:56.060 so the truth is very powerful now the culture when you accept islam you cannot follow that culture 0.99

00:55:03.660 you can't some drink please serve them you cannot follow your culture it's like a chinese

00:55:09.340 what is our culture we honor respect our elders who have passed away

00:55:17.340 but do you still have the belief that their spirit is coming home every year 0.98

00:55:23.980 to visit the family that culture we cannot believe anymore again the islamic teaching 0.98

00:55:33.620 Because when a person died, you are gone. Your spirit cannot come back anymore. It's gone. 1.00

00:55:42.020 The one that you feel is the Satan, the Jean is playing with this. But not your father come back again,

00:55:50.500 your mother come back again. So you want to go back to celebrate Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year 0.97

00:55:57.700 is a Chinese calculation of their calendar of what their Chinese calendar yeah they follow the moon

00:56:06.820 like how we follow the moon so they have lunar calendar yeah they have lunar calendar you see so

00:56:13.700 according to the calculation that day is the day of the new year so they declare a new no religious

00:56:23.460 value just based on their culture their calculation like how we muslim in malaysia not in the west

00:56:32.420 first of muharram awal muharram here we declare public holiday because that is our calendar

00:56:41.460 not by prophet muhammad by omar who decide that it's time for the muslim to have their own

00:56:46.660 calendar calculation so we also have our but that is not a religious requirement just based on our

00:56:57.940 tradition okay so any tradition do not contradict Islam you can still have a family gathering 0.50

00:57:07.940 be together there's nothing but one is against that you go to the temple you cannot go 0.75

00:57:15.540 it's against the value 0.91

00:57:17.360 Chinese tradition

00:57:21.040 when they meet their elders

00:57:22.440 they serve tea

00:57:23.640 they don't cheers with beers

00:57:27.980 or alcohol

00:57:29.600 tea

00:57:30.320 tradition

00:57:31.360 now 0.98

00:57:33.040 you are Muslim

00:57:34.060 and your parents

00:57:34.920 are not yet Muslim

00:57:35.860 can you say

00:57:36.500 peace Allah

00:57:37.640 no problem

00:57:39.540 I have a question

00:57:41.980 so we went to

00:57:43.040 a cable

00:57:44.160 what's that place called

00:57:45.040 Batu Cave.

00:57:46.040 Batu Cave.

00:57:47.040 And then there is the Hindu temple.

00:57:49.040 Hindu temple.

00:57:50.040 So what is the, like, are we as Muslims, are we allowed to walk into that temple or no?

00:57:56.040 It's forbidden.

00:57:57.040 It's better not to go.

00:57:58.040 Okay.

00:57:59.040 Because anybody to go is like you are also promoting.

00:58:04.040 Yeah.

00:58:05.040 But no, you're like, you feel good.

00:58:07.040 You see, so many come that you are also promoting that place.

00:58:12.040 if you go and you enjoy

00:58:14.400 you are supporting them

00:58:18.040 if you go with intention

00:58:21.100 I want to know

00:58:22.020 I can do that

00:58:23.060 what can I do

00:58:24.040 but can you go with the intention

00:58:26.900 of wanting to understand

00:58:28.500 what their faith is

00:58:29.340 so that you can speak to them

00:58:30.340 yeah then okay

00:58:31.120 okay so it's all about the intention

00:58:32.540 of what you go with

00:58:34.100 okay

00:58:34.360 then it's different

00:58:35.620 okay

00:58:36.140 it's like

00:58:38.220 when I was a Christian

00:58:39.920 you were a Christian too?

00:58:41.400 yeah i become a christian before i became a muslim then a jew too no

00:58:48.120 sorry i didn't mean to interrupt

00:58:55.360 and yeah so what what what happened

00:59:03.360 So now I become a Muslim

00:59:07.160 So can I wish my fellow Christian

00:59:11.680 My sisters, they are still here

00:59:13.380 Happy Christmas

00:59:16.900 I don't do that

00:59:18.700 Because I know Christmas

00:59:22.280 Have something to do with Jesus

00:59:24.260 And the way they talk about Jesus

00:59:27.280 Is again the teaching of Jesus

00:59:29.260 So sometimes when they bring me

00:59:32.960 You want to bring me to church

00:59:34.120 I said, okay, I can follow you

00:59:35.400 I've been to church before

00:59:36.520 And then after the sermon

00:59:38.960 The Sunday sermon

00:59:40.080 Then they come out with me

00:59:41.360 How do you feel?

00:59:42.960 I feel very sad

00:59:44.020 Why do you feel sad?

00:59:46.220 Because the priest is lying

00:59:47.400 He's talking a lot of things again, Jesus

00:59:52.740 Jesus never said that

00:59:55.220 You see, we are not telling the truth

00:59:57.500 So next time they don't invite me anymore

01:00:00.840 I said, now, I want you to be like me, if possible, open.

01:00:11.820 I'll give you a Quran, you give me the Bible.

01:00:14.300 I have no problem to read the Bible.

01:00:17.000 I hope you can read the Quran.

01:00:18.540 Oh, they're not even touched the Quran.

01:00:21.660 Yeah, somebody must have warned them.

01:00:24.560 The priest must say, don't touch this.

01:00:26.860 It's like a black magic.

01:00:27.840 After you touch them

01:00:29.420 You're like a zombie 1.00

01:00:31.020 Kalas 1.00

01:00:31.680 You don't know what it is 1.00

01:00:33.360 They put fear in them

01:00:35.600 That this book like

01:00:36.720 It's a diamond

01:00:38.000 Dangerous

01:00:40.620 I say

01:00:41.760 This is just a book

01:00:43.220 This is just a book

01:00:44.760 I can have Bible

01:00:46.280 I can hold

01:00:47.000 I can read

01:00:47.660 This is a book

01:00:49.340 And I notice that too

01:00:51.200 Now then what I do

01:00:53.100 When Christmas Day

01:00:54.700 Santa

01:00:55.600 I will buy Christmas card

01:00:58.080 But I changed the word

01:01:01.680 I put verses in the Quran

01:01:06.040 You know 0.97

01:01:08.140 I refaced

01:01:09.200 I talked about Surah Maryam 0.99

01:01:11.620 Then I sent to them

01:01:14.200 So they read the message

01:01:16.800 My brother

01:01:19.780 It's too much

01:01:22.420 i said i have to share with you what god said about mary and what god said about jesus

01:01:34.500 not my word it's god's word so anything you do if you know how to make use of that

01:01:42.180 to do that one go and so uh how long have you been muslim for now since 1968 okay

01:01:51.060 and then when you were a christian would you preach christianity i don't really preach i was

01:01:56.340 going towards that 1968 yeah how old are you i didn't even think about it i didn't digest what

01:02:10.340 yes so you got to be older than 60 obviously so he's probably 30 when he converted so are

01:02:17.060 Are you, no, you're not nine, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

01:02:22.020 I was joining the Christian missionaries.

01:02:24.560 So you're already an adult.

01:02:26.060 So you're in your eighties.

01:02:29.060 Then I, I was going that,

01:02:32.060 when I want to start to do that word to the, my friend who are Muslim, 1.00

01:02:36.320 if I know Jesus is the true God.

01:02:39.660 So I cannot just leave them.

01:02:41.820 It's my duty to save them.

01:02:45.000 So when I start to talk a bit, I get some, they are talking, they are asking, you know, me about, do you believe in Trinity?

01:02:56.760 One plus one plus one equal to one?

01:03:00.600 The Holy Father is one, the Holy Son, another one, and the Holy Spirit, another one. 1.00

01:03:07.260 I thought Chinese people were good at math. 0.99

01:03:10.840 So one plus one, what is Ukraine?

01:03:15.000 And that's why I want to know further.

01:03:17.080 I say I have a problem with the Father. 1.00

01:03:19.600 When I want to talk to my friend, they are born Muslim. 1.00

01:03:21.980 They say God is one. 0.87

01:03:22.880 Now, if I'm saying that, no, actually God is the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

01:03:30.580 I now am a bit confused.

01:03:32.480 I am worried that I cannot penetrate through that.

01:03:37.820 Can you please enlighten me?

01:03:40.640 I'm going now.

01:03:41.480 I'm talking to them

01:03:42.920 But

01:03:43.140 There are somebody

01:03:45.060 He's asking

01:03:45.520 I don't have the answer

01:03:46.760 And that was your experience

01:03:48.720 That's my experience

01:03:49.840 As a Christian

01:03:50.980 As a Christian

01:03:51.900 So as a Christian 1.00

01:03:53.300 You gave Dawah to Muslims 0.94

01:03:54.360 And they were believing in Tawheed 1.00

01:03:56.700 And you were telling them

01:03:57.760 That no, no, no

01:03:58.680 God is

01:03:59.840 Three in one

01:04:01.620 But they wouldn't budge

01:04:02.980 Yes

01:04:04.380 Then

01:04:04.760 When the priest said to me

01:04:07.320 Actually

01:04:08.880 It's simple

01:04:10.040 I said no, no

01:04:10.740 I'm thinking now 0.98

01:04:12.620 I'm damn 0.99

01:04:14.740 I'm not a Muslim 0.99

01:04:16.440 I'm a Muslim

01:04:17.640 You come and talk to me

01:04:19.020 And you tell me

01:04:20.880 God is Father

01:04:22.220 God also is the Son

01:04:23.680 God is the Holy 0.98

01:04:24.920 And the Christians sometimes use the Holy Ghost 0.97

01:04:27.340 He don't use Holy Spirit, Holy Ghost

01:04:31.140 So to us, Ghost is Ghost

01:04:33.700 There is no Holy Ghost

01:04:38.660 ghost is bad

01:04:41.120 that's a good one

01:04:43.120 I'm only going to use that one

01:04:44.380 that's good

01:04:45.580 so that's how I faced it

01:04:48.620 please enlighten me

01:04:49.840 before I got caught

01:04:50.760 not if I come and share

01:04:51.960 with my friends

01:04:52.620 say don't worry my son

01:04:54.380 the father of the earth's son

01:04:57.300 let the Holy Spirit

01:04:59.500 come to you

01:05:00.220 and enlighten you

01:05:01.760 that is where I was waiting

01:05:03.780 for the Holy Spirit to come 0.99

01:05:07.280 Because the Christians used that approach. 1.00

01:05:11.820 I was waiting, waiting, waiting. 1.00

01:05:13.980 I didn't experience the Holy Spirit.

01:05:16.320 That's where I started to talk to God.

01:05:20.600 I don't know who is the true God now.

01:05:22.320 I said, God, you know, I'm looking for you.

01:05:26.400 Please guide me.

01:05:29.340 I don't know who is the true God now.

01:05:32.400 I was looking for you.

01:05:33.400 Please guide me.

01:05:36.140 And how do Allah guide me? Not because of the Muslim. Not because of the Quran, I was not given an opportunity to read the Quran. 0.99

01:05:46.820 Because before the culture here, you are not Muslim, you cannot touch the Quran. 1.00

01:05:52.740 Because you are Najis, you are unclean. Only Muslim who want to touch the Quran also have to take ablution. 1.00

01:06:00.640 They honor the Quran. So how can I read? I didn't ask for the Arabic. I can't read Arabic. 0.99

01:06:07.880 I just asked. Also cannot. So I read the history of Sayyidina Omar. How he became a Muslim.

01:06:20.140 That is the opening. That is the hidayah that Allah gave me through. The history of Omar. 0.98

01:06:28.640 I became a Muslim.

01:06:30.640 Allahu Akbar. 0.91

01:06:32.640 It's Allah's hidayah. 0.97

01:06:36.640 Allah's hidayah. 0.87

01:06:38.640 Naam.

01:06:40.640 Okay.

01:06:42.640 We hope you're not going to delay all your

01:06:44.640 I heard that you are leaving tomorrow morning.

01:06:48.640 Allahu Akbar.

01:06:50.640 Back to U.S. 1.00

01:06:52.640 Indonesia. 1.00

01:06:54.640 Indonesia first.

01:06:56.640 Jakarta?

01:06:57.080 Jakarta, yeah.

01:06:58.660 You have all the contact radio over there?

01:07:01.480 Ah, good.

01:07:05.060 Very good.

01:07:06.140 I hope so.

01:07:06.640 Indonesia also is another country that is good to explore. 1.00

01:07:10.940 The only thing in Indonesia, they are Pancasila. 1.00

01:07:13.960 They are not like here. 1.00

01:07:15.580 Pancasila.

01:07:16.200 That means the government is not,

01:07:20.340 Islam is not the official religion of that country. 1.00

01:07:23.340 Even majority are Muslims.

01:07:25.460 It's the most Muslim country in the world.

01:07:27.300 Yeah, but Islam is not an official religion.

01:07:30.720 Still, it's funny that in America, they always say it's an Arab religion, it's a brown religion.

01:07:34.760 And we find out demographically, Islam is an Asian religion. 0.58

01:07:38.620 Majority of here, the Asian, Alhamdulillah, was Allah gives them hidayah, they become Muslim.

01:07:45.960 Even like China, population is huge, the Muslim. 0.76

01:07:49.500 even Thailand

01:07:52.600 in the South Thailand

01:07:54.560 majority are Muslim

01:07:55.700 we have just few days ago

01:07:58.680 one of the representative

01:08:01.000 of the human rights

01:08:02.280 body

01:08:04.240 in Thailand

01:08:06.000 came to visit us

01:08:07.840 to talk about

01:08:10.400 human rights

01:08:12.340 and then he was

01:08:14.820 in the South of Thailand

01:08:16.680 majority are Muslim

01:08:18.560 Buddhist population, very minimum, sometimes, they are still having some problems with the

01:08:29.740 Buddhists. 1.00

01:08:30.740 I said to them, the non-Muslim or minority, this is the best time to do dakwah. 1.00

01:08:38.580 Show your care, your love, show them.

01:08:44.740 Be close to them. That's how the Prophet do his dialogue.

01:08:48.740 He is not here to judge you. You go to hell, you shaitan. 1.00

01:08:52.740 Oh people, let us come back to Allah. 1.00

01:09:00.740 What do you see? How the Prophet talked to the people? Ayuhannas.

01:09:04.740 I would like to share with all of you this saying very important.

01:09:10.740 when the prophet was performing his Hajj, the first and the last, his last word to the Ummah

01:09:19.380 in Arafah, what did he say? He never said, all Arabs, all believers, all who judge,

01:09:28.340 Those who come for Hajj are Yohannas, old people, old mankind.

01:09:40.460 Remember, the true God is only one.

01:09:47.920 Remember, all of us came from one father.

01:09:53.320 What do we understand by that?

01:09:55.160 We are a big family.

01:09:56.600 We are family, we are no stranger.

01:10:01.600 All of us are the children of Adam, and Adam is from the earth. 0.66

01:10:17.600 Arab is not superior than the non-Arab. 0.99

01:10:21.600 Neither white is better than the black, except taqwa. 1.00

01:10:26.600 When you look at this 1.00

01:10:35.760 Message

01:10:36.800 The Prophet is talking

01:10:40.340 To every one of us

01:10:42.140 O mankind

01:10:43.100 This message is for everybody 0.99

01:10:46.480 You are not

01:10:48.320 Superior because of your race

01:10:49.920 It's because of your

01:10:52.340 Belief

01:10:53.040 So all of us

01:10:55.760 That's why I called most of the people that I met. 1.00

01:10:59.760 The not yet Muslim. I don't call them non-Muslim.

01:11:03.760 You see? Why? I purposely use this term.

01:11:09.760 Not yet Muslim. Why do you call me not yet Muslim?

01:11:15.760 I said, yeah, I hope one day you become Muslim. No, no, no, no, no. 0.71

01:11:19.760 Don't worry, I'll pray for you. Don't pray for me.

01:11:23.760 okay free free i don't charge any money please don't pray for me i just want them to think why i use

01:11:32.320 this word because allah said in surah taubah this group of people who are not a believer

01:11:45.360 they believe in other god but not allah it's because they don't nobody talk to them 0.99

01:11:51.760 That's why I said, you are not yet a Muslim. You are my brother. 1.00

01:11:57.760 So sometimes when I was in the UK before, I called the not yet Muslim brother.

01:12:03.760 Some...

01:12:07.760 How can you call the non-Muslim your brother? 1.00

01:12:10.760 Only believers are brother.

01:12:12.760 Allah said, 0.86

01:12:14.760 I said, correct. I agree 100%.

01:12:18.760 There is brother in faith.

01:12:23.000 But I'm saying that we are brother because we came from the same father, Adam, brother

01:12:28.700 for humanity.

01:12:31.700 Do you think he came from apes or what?

01:12:35.820 He's not the children of Adam.

01:12:38.260 Allah said, 0.94

01:12:39.260 And then we made you into tribes and nation who choose to be different. 0.99

01:12:47.000 That's why I said, I don't choose to be a Chinese. 0.94

01:12:50.000 Allah said, you Chinese, call us.

01:12:52.000 Alhamdulillah.

01:12:53.000 Did I choose this? You choose to be a Malik? 1.00

01:12:56.000 You didn't choose.

01:12:58.000 Allah said, please, call us.

01:13:01.000 But He made us different not to belittle one another.

01:13:05.000 Not to hate one another.

01:13:07.000 To get to know one another.

01:13:09.000 Share with one another.

01:13:11.000 Compliment one another.

01:13:13.000 Help one another.

01:13:14.000 Show them the truth if you know the truth

01:13:16.220 Don't say you are wrong

01:13:18.600 Show them what is right

01:13:20.720 We don't do that

01:13:22.380 We fail to do that

01:13:24.760 That's why my duty is to make sure 0.79

01:13:27.440 Every Muslim understand their role

01:13:29.960 At least show good example 1.00

01:13:32.980 You cannot talk, don't talk

01:13:35.640 Show good example

01:13:37.660 Show your kindness

01:13:39.560 You care for them

01:13:41.540 at least

01:13:42.960 you pray for them. May Allah give them

01:13:45.420 hidayah. Can you do that as a 0.98

01:13:47.520 Muslim? You don't know 1.00

01:13:49.580 how to talk, don't talk. Let me talk.

01:13:52.420 Let me talk to them.

01:13:54.720 Because if you don't

01:13:55.560 know how to talk, you go and talk.

01:13:57.520 You make them more confused.

01:13:59.200 And they can make you double confused.

01:14:01.580 Because they know you don't know what you're talking.

01:14:04.560 You see, so it's

01:14:05.460 very important to have the right knowledge.

01:14:08.880 Then you

01:14:09.440 start to talk.

01:14:11.540 So, anyhow, you're going to Indonesia, you'll be exposed more about other cities, the different scenario back there, have more freedom compared with us. 0.98

01:14:25.540 Muslim over there also, very complicated. You can have Prophet there, you have Allah there, human can be God, everything you can find in Indonesia 0.95

01:14:40.540 because it's a Pancasila constitution. It's different. Here you dare not say that. 1.00

01:14:48.380 You say that the authority comes after you. Over there it's up to you.

01:14:55.340 You can just say anything you want. So it's like the wild, wild east.

01:14:59.020 Oh, yes.

01:14:59.660 That is very complicated. The good is very good.

01:15:11.660 And then you have the extreme people who also call themselves Muslim. 0.97

01:15:19.660 Very unique kind of environment.

01:15:23.660 I have been there for more than 30 over years, traveling, doing da'wah.

01:15:31.660 Very interesting. May Allah make it easy for your journey.

01:15:37.660 How long you will be there? Three days, inshallah.

01:15:40.660 Okay. And then to the motherland, then Philippines after. 0.94

01:15:43.660 Then go to Philippines? Philippines. 0.88

01:15:46.660 How long is your journey in Southeast Asia at this time?

01:15:51.660 Day by day.

01:15:53.380 I see.

01:15:54.120 We'll see.

01:15:54.860 A few weeks, inshallah.

01:15:57.120 Good, good.

01:15:58.020 Alhamdulillah.

01:15:58.920 These are areas that I...

01:16:01.600 My area is Southeast Asia before.

01:16:05.220 Because I was in Ricep in Southeast Asia.

01:16:08.280 Here, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga, Western Samoa, Malaysia, and then Taiwan.

01:16:13.960 And then we go for Japan, Korea, and then also in Philippines.

01:16:20.400 this is the zone that I cover

01:16:23.480 from the 70s.

01:16:26.400 Wow.

01:16:27.040 Until

01:16:27.760 end of 80s.

01:16:31.840 I cover Southeast Asia

01:16:33.500 doing my da'wah job.

01:16:37.820 Alhamdulillah.

01:16:38.840 May Allah bless all of us who are here

01:16:41.480 and your team.

01:16:46.420 Around that.

01:16:47.360 1950 you were born that's what they looked up your wikipedia

01:16:52.820 well let's keep it

01:16:54.760 in reality people asked you about age I said don't worry

01:17:03.500 from 10 to 99 I'm young two digits is young

01:17:09.640 when you reach three digits you say you're old

01:17:12.640 so three digits start when you are 100

01:17:15.940 10 to 99 is two digits

01:17:21.120 You know, he's turning 30

01:17:22.900 He thinks he's getting old

01:17:23.980 He thinks, okay

01:17:26.420 I'm 27 right down

01:17:28.620 Okay, slow down

01:17:30.960 I'm mid-20s basically

01:17:32.300 But it's good, anybody that you encounter

01:17:35.320 Who are very

01:17:36.580 Critical thinking

01:17:38.700 You can try to

01:17:41.240 Connect us with them

01:17:43.320 Because we like to

01:17:45.440 engaged with all these critical thinking people.

01:17:50.500 They became very, very aggressive.

01:17:53.880 But we learned to understand where they come from.

01:17:59.580 Then, inshallah, with the will of love, we can share with them.

01:18:03.340 Make them start to think because, to be very frank, brother,

01:18:07.680 after I learned about Islam and studied through my life experience,

01:18:11.840 compared with Buddhism, Christianity,

01:18:13.360 I found that Islam, the teaching of Quran and the Prophet, number one, relevant at all time.

01:18:23.180 Number two, it's not outdated.

01:18:26.680 Number two, rational.

01:18:29.220 Number three, practical.

01:18:31.660 And number four, logical. 1.00

01:18:35.860 Everything is in Islam.

01:18:37.740 any problem anywhere

01:18:41.320 any time

01:18:43.720 islam is relevant 0.80

01:18:45.700 and practical

01:18:47.280 may Allah help us

01:18:51.520 guide us inshaAllah

01:18:52.620 you still can have continue your food

01:19:01.220 if you want

01:19:02.100 I don't know

01:19:05.860 No, no, no, no, seriously, we'll get it, we'll get it.

01:19:10.060 Trust me, I ain't gonna have no clue.

01:19:14.800 As-salamu alaykum.

01:19:15.400 Let's take a group of two outside.

01:19:17.680 Of course.

01:19:35.860 I want to give you something.

01:19:40.860 Huh?

01:19:41.860 I want to give you something.

01:19:44.860 It's good, it's good, it's good.

01:19:48.860 Dude, it's like holy moly.

01:19:50.860 We'll just take a group photo for a minute.

01:20:03.860 Okay, amazing. Thank you.

01:20:07.460 Hey, you sure you don't take away this offer?

01:20:09.660 No.

01:20:10.160 Yeah, you're fine.

01:20:11.160 Uh, butcher.

01:20:17.260 Thank you, though.

01:20:18.960 What's up?

01:20:20.260 Sure, yeah.

01:21:27.120 last two days apparently and i show up you leave you show up i leave this is crazy crazy coincidence

01:21:33.320 i was down the hotel and you were at that jalan market or something yesterday yeah i think yeah

01:21:40.020 we had dinner there and then i went to get shawama and guess what happened this guy came up to me

01:21:47.440 when i was streaming and he said another streamer was right here huh random coincidence yeah what's

01:21:54.100 your name shake aka explorer on kick shake yeah okay yeah they were telling me in the chat that

01:21:59.260 you were pulled out yeah there's some guys and i hate it they do all that no they weren't hating

01:22:03.120 they said that you're outside oh that's surprising because usually when i try to meet up with some

01:22:09.160 streamer they always say something awful and try to that oh i hope i'm not i have to take it you

01:22:15.820 Oh, you want a little bit, yeah.

01:22:17.880 Here.

01:22:18.700 Here, come here.

01:22:19.920 Come.

01:22:20.520 Right, this side.

01:22:21.520 Yeah, come.

01:22:22.520 So, Sheikh would like to give some...

01:22:25.180 A small token from a bulletin.

01:22:27.400 Thank you so much.

01:22:28.100 And my small bulletin.

01:22:32.720 I always use this as the beginner of the foundation of the team.

01:22:39.700 Empowering the Ummah.

01:22:40.700 Yeah, that is the bulletin.

01:22:42.640 So, this is basically whatever activities that we have here.

01:22:45.520 this is just like a summary of it what we do what we do only for this year july

01:22:51.040 alhamdulillah we have you need almost every weekend we have people coming to islam

01:22:58.560 my small book club is this one i use this as my to make people understand the foundation of the

01:23:06.800 oh this is nice i like simple being easy to read easy to understand i'm the same way yeah i like

01:23:17.600 that all the big book you know sometimes you cannot carry this one half an hour finish

01:23:24.560 then you can remember better what is islam yeah it's very important this is for you

01:23:32.480 there's another book inside there it's called the fortress of the muslims

01:23:35.440 So this fortress of the Muslims is basically for all Muslims about the doa.

01:23:42.440 There is like a prayer, all the short prayer that taught us, daily prayer. 0.99

01:23:49.440 We are traveling, we want to resign, we want to arrive at the destination, what to do.

01:23:53.440 We have maximum protection.

01:23:56.440 We have good intention, but the people that we are going to meet,

01:24:02.440 so we seek allah's maximum protection and may allah protect us that's very important stay connected

01:24:13.320 come and now come join us

01:24:18.520 alhamdulillah this is our signature yes one god to heed yes one family one umma

01:24:26.920 One Umar

01:24:30.360 But for the Malaysians 0.98

01:24:32.520 We say one Malaysian 0.98

01:24:33.620 Why? To make them feel 1.00

01:24:36.480 We are one

01:24:37.640 If you say one God 0.99

01:24:40.360 To the non-Muslim family 1.00

01:24:41.580 Because when the non-Muslim family came 1.00

01:24:43.460 When the reversion 1.00

01:24:44.680 So then we have a family picture

01:24:47.220 So we Muslims 0.98

01:24:49.080 Will raise up like this

01:24:50.520 Any style, this is our style

01:24:53.200 Freestyle, this style

01:24:54.900 Then 1.00

01:24:56.320 when the non-Muslim family is around 1.00

01:24:58.600 if we say one God 1.00

01:25:00.260 they don't raise 1.00

01:25:00.940 so I say one Malaysia 1.00

01:25:02.920 they raise up their life 0.99

01:25:04.740 we introduce our value

01:25:07.420 I say this one

01:25:08.580 this is a Korean

01:25:10.380 this is not just Korean sign of love

01:25:14.380 the Korean way of promoting Christianity

01:25:17.580 the cross 1.00

01:25:18.240 oh never mind 1.00

01:25:19.700 it's their way of propagating Christianity 1.00

01:25:23.400 Korean Christians are very extreme 1.00

01:25:25.900 Christians 1.00

01:25:26.400 You don't follow, you go to hell 1.00

01:25:29.360 Korean not 1.00

01:25:30.780 They are not like other Christians, they are still very lucky 1.00

01:25:33.800 But they are very extreme 1.00

01:25:36.240 I know one of my

01:25:37.860 Cousin's sisters went there and become

01:25:39.900 Their followers

01:25:40.440 But sometimes they are love, love, love

01:25:44.100 This is their cross

01:25:45.540 We don't use them 0.99

01:25:47.360 Use our value of life

01:25:48.980 Alhamdulillah

01:25:53.000 let's take one right here yeah come what yeah yeah
