00:00:00.120 Malcolm X's letter from Hajj.
00:00:01.960 Allah Akbar!
00:00:03.380 Have I witnessed such sincere hospitality and overwhelming spirit of true brotherhood,
00:00:07.960 as it is practiced by the people of all colors and races?
00:00:11.640 Chat, do you even know who this is?
00:00:12.960 Bro, this is a whole other audience in my chat right now.
00:00:15.920 Do you even know who Malcolm X is?
00:00:17.340 Do you know what he did?
00:00:18.020 Do you know about his Hajj?
00:00:18.900 Do you even know what Hajj means?
00:00:19.980 Do you know when he went to Mecca?
00:00:21.240 Do you know about the change in his philosophy?
00:00:23.280 Do you know who really got him?
00:00:26.380 This is here in the ancient holy land.
00:00:28.360 The home of Abraham.
00:00:30.000 Muhammad, and all the other prophets of the holy scriptures.
00:00:33.520 For the past week, I have been utterly speechless and spellbound by the graciousness I see displayed
00:00:38.740 all around me by people of all colors.
00:00:41.560 I have been blessed to visit the holy city of Mecca.
00:00:44.420 I have made my seven circuits around the Kaaba, led by a young mutawwaf named Muhammad. 1.00
00:00:49.500 I drank water from the well of Zamzam.
00:00:51.900 I ran seven times back and forth between the hills of Mana, Safa, and Marwa.
00:00:55.960 Do you know about him?
00:00:57.040 He was all for segregation, and then they liked him. 0.91
00:01:02.220 The white supremacists actually were a big fan of him because he was saying that black people should go back to Africa. 0.98
00:01:06.420 Black people should stay segregated. 1.00
00:01:07.940 He was completely against white people. 0.99
00:01:09.420 And then he went and did his Hajj in Mecca.
00:01:11.740 And he said he changed his whole views.
00:01:15.440 He was for integration.
00:01:16.440 He saw, like, the peace between people.
00:01:18.660 And as soon as he started advocating for integration, what happened?
00:01:21.960 I have prayed in the ancient city of Mina, and I have prayed on Ma'arafa.
00:01:29.420 There were tens of thousands of pilgrims from all over the world.
00:01:33.520 They were of all colors, from blue-eyed blondes to black-skinned Africans.
00:01:38.220 But we were all participating in the same ritual, displaying a spirit of unity and brotherhood
00:01:42.960 that my experiences in America had led me to believe never could exist between the white 0.66
00:01:48.140 and the non-white.
00:01:49.860 America needs to understand Islam, because this is the one religion that erases 1.00
00:01:54.700 from society the race problem.
00:01:58.120 Throughout my travels in the Muslim world, I have met, talked to, and even eaten with people
00:02:02.960 who in America would have been considered white.
00:02:06.140 But the white attitude was removed from their minds by the religion of Islam.
00:02:10.120 I have never before seen sincere and true brotherhood practiced by all colors together, irrespective
00:02:17.340 of...
00:02:17.540 So why do you think that he was right after he started advocating for integration?
00:02:23.020 Martin Luther King, that was his whole thing, and they did the same thing.
00:02:27.420 But when he was in America, and he was advocating for segregation, he was untouched.
00:02:32.760 And as soon as he started saying, oh, maybe we should be peaceful, why did they get rid
00:02:36.280 of him when his message changed?
00:02:37.520 I love their color.
00:02:40.080 You may be shocked by these words coming from me, but on this pilgrimage, what I have seen
00:02:44.900 and experienced has forced me to rearrange much of my thought patterns previously held,
00:02:50.440 and to toss aside some of my previous conclusions.
00:02:53.500 This was not too difficult for me.
00:02:55.500 Despite my firm convictions, I have always been a man who tries to face facts and to accept
00:03:00.860 the reality of life as new experience and new knowledge unfolds it.
00:03:04.840 I have always kept an open mind, which is necessary to the flexibility that must go hand in hand
00:03:10.660 with every form of intelligence.
00:03:12.220 How many Muslims in here?
00:03:15.040 I would say one quarter of my audience is Muslim.
00:03:17.380 How many of you have your hajj?
00:03:19.460 How many of you did all five pillars?
00:03:21.440 Allah Akbar!
00:03:22.660 I really want to go.
00:03:23.500 They go and they walk in circles around that thing in Mecca a lot. 0.98
00:03:25.780 It seems very peaceful.
00:03:26.820 They fast and pray and everything.
00:03:28.640 During the past 11 days here in the Muslim world, I have eaten from the same plate, drunk 0.97
00:03:34.380 from the same glass and slept on the same bed or on the same rug while praying to the
00:03:39.860 same God with fellow Muslims whose eyes were the bluest of blue. 1.00
00:03:43.540 Which is funny because before he went to Mecca, he was part of this cult called the Nation of 0.96
00:03:47.880 Islam, which is just this Islamic thing that black people join in jail in America. 1.00
00:03:53.220 But it's actually not that good of a religion to be or a cult at all. 0.99
00:03:57.740 This guy, Elijah Muhammad, apparently he was kind of a crook. 0.98
00:04:02.040 But I think actual Islam is a lot better. 0.99
00:04:05.440 But how many of you have done your hajj?
00:04:07.400 I'm jealous of that.
00:04:08.380 I kind of want to go to Mecca and do the same thing that you're going to do.
00:04:10.960 Whose hair was the blondest of blond and whose skin was the whitest of white. 0.99
00:04:14.980 And in the words and in the actions and in the deeds of the white Muslims, I felt the same 0.98
00:04:19.280 sincerity that I felt among the black African Muslims of Nigeria. 0.99
00:04:23.540 Sudan and Ghana.
00:04:25.120 We were truly all the same brothers because their belief in one God had removed the white 1.00
00:04:30.200 from their minds, the white from their behavior and the white from their attitude. 0.63
00:04:34.440 They removed the white from their minds and the white from their attitude. 0.94
00:04:38.000 White people, how do you feel about that? 0.86
00:04:40.140 You going to let them talk to you like that?
00:04:41.260 I could see from this that perhaps if white Americans could accept the oneness of God, 0.61
00:04:47.120 then perhaps too they could accept in reality the oneness of man and cease to measure and hinder
00:04:52.600 and harm others in terms of their differences in color.
00:04:56.540 With racism plaguing America like an incurable cancer, the so-called Christian white American 0.62
00:05:01.920 heart should be more receptive to a proven solution to such a destructive problem.
00:05:07.280 Perhaps it could be in time to save America from imminent disaster.
00:05:11.180 It's so funny.
00:05:13.140 His whole philosophy changed after going to Mecca.
00:05:16.320 This was not stuff that he was preaching before.
00:05:19.000 He used to do speeches everywhere.
00:05:20.980 He was like the forefront, one of the forefronts of the civil rights movement in the 60s,
00:05:24.340 if you didn't know.
00:05:25.120 Quick little history lesson.
00:05:26.480 But his whole philosophy changed.
00:05:28.240 He started saying all this thing and had all these ideas about peace and how we could be,
00:05:33.140 how racism could be fixed, about equality.
00:05:35.460 And then they deleted him.
00:05:37.180 The same destruction brought upon Germany by racism that eventually destroyed the Germans themselves.
00:05:43.340 Each hour here in the Holy Land enables me to have greater spiritual insight into what is happening in America between black and white.
00:05:51.480 The American Negro can never be blamed for his racial animosities.
00:05:55.920 He's only reacting to 400 years of the conscious racism of the American whites. 0.78
00:06:00.620 But as racism leads America up the suicide path, I do believe, from the experiences that I've had with them,
00:06:07.940 that the whites of the younger generation in the colleges and universities will see the handwriting on the walls
00:06:13.220 and many of them will turn to the spiritual path of truth,
00:06:16.860 the only way left to America to ward off the disasters that racism inevitably must lead to.
00:06:23.400 Never have I been so highly honored.
00:06:26.280 Never have I been made to feel more humble and unworthy.
00:06:29.420 Who would believe the blessings that have been heaped upon an American Negro? 1.00
00:06:34.460 A few nights ago, a man who would be called in America a white man,
00:06:39.280 a United Nations diplomat, an ambassador, a companion of kings, gave me his hotel suite, his bed.
00:06:47.000 Never would I have even thought of dreaming that I would ever be the recipient of such honors.
00:06:53.000 Honors that in America would have been bestowed upon a king, not a Negro. 1.00
00:06:57.020 All praises due to...
00:06:59.320 He should have stayed.
00:07:00.280 He should have never came back to America. 0.99
00:07:02.060 Allah, the Lord of the world.
00:07:04.560 Sincerely, Al-Hajj, Malik Al-Shabazz.
00:07:07.200 That's why I had this big obsession with Islam when I was a kid, because I read the autobiography of Malcolm X.
00:07:15.100 And then I even wanted to join the Nation of Islam.
00:07:17.020 But if you really look it up, they were probably at fault to some degree for him getting deleted.
00:07:21.640 There's a lot of conspiracies for why.
00:07:23.800 It could have been the Nation of Islam because he switched up.
00:07:28.000 He went and he was like an actual Muslim after he went to Mecca. 0.98
00:07:31.720 And he came back and he was preaching, like, the core beliefs of Islam.
00:07:35.440 But the Nation of Islam is pretty much this jail cult that gives money to the people at the top. 0.88
00:07:40.560 So maybe it was them or maybe it was the FBI.
00:07:43.140 Maybe it was the CIA.
00:07:44.580 They were spying on him his whole life.
00:07:46.380 They wiretapped all of his phone.
00:07:48.180 And there's other conspiracies that maybe they deleted Malcolm X because he started advocating for peace when before he was advocating for a place of hate.
00:07:55.540 That guy, like, he went through so much hardship.
00:07:58.080 You should read that book.
00:07:59.440 You could see all the stuff that he had to deal with with the KKK, like, coming to his house, beating him up.
00:08:04.280 Like, it's absolutely incredible.
00:08:06.340 So you can understand why he had so much hate.
00:08:08.420 But going to Mecca really changed his whole philosophy.
00:08:11.320 What do you think?
00:08:11.820 You think it was the Nation of Islam or you think it was the whites?
00:08:15.560 Thanks for the 10.
00:08:16.380 Been smoking tree heavy for 10 years.
00:08:17.780 Been watching your stream for the last few days and realized it was making me a bot.
00:08:20.540 Three days, no trees.
00:08:21.440 Let's get this money.
00:08:22.340 Since I started streaming season two, I have not even touched weed.
00:08:25.600 I have not touched weed.
00:08:26.440 People every day like, you must be on drugs.
00:08:28.240 You must be on drugs.
00:08:29.080 I'm not like, man.
00:08:30.340 I'm at peace with myself.
00:08:31.700 I'm just in here streaming every single day.
00:08:34.760 And I'm more focused than ever.
00:08:35.900 Can't you tell that I haven't been smoking weed?
00:08:37.740 Other people are, you must be on drugs.
00:08:39.500 Nah, bro.
00:08:40.000 Look at my eyes.
00:08:40.680 Do I really look like I'm on anything?
00:08:42.580 I'm spiritual.
00:08:43.400 Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah.
