Stand on Guard with David Krayden - Collapse of the Crown Prosecution, Day 43 of the Freedom Convoy Ottawa Trial ｜ Stand on Guard

00:00:00.000 welcome back to another edition of stand on guard i am your host david creighton and it's

00:00:07.620 tuesday august 20th 2024 thank you for joining me when i come back the latest

00:00:13.740 on the freedom convoy trial and yes it continues and i'll let you know what's happening

00:00:22.020 so we are in a very precarious position in this country we need political change but we also need

00:00:31.820 to resolve to resist

00:00:33.500 yes do what sasha the cat does there please

00:00:51.580 hit the bell smash the like button give us the thumbs up so we can beat youtube's

00:00:57.660 continued suppression although they're trying hard but they yeah they got me again yesterday

00:01:02.140 on the story but overall we're beating them you and i are beating them thank you for your support

00:01:08.620 thank you for being there for this station thank you for subscribing let your friends and family know

00:01:14.520 that the creighton creighton's right network is alive and well and that stand on guard

00:01:21.260 is the show that presents and gives you all the news that you need to know to get on with your day

00:01:28.240 or as the case may be today with your night i've been at the freedom convoy trial all day got there

00:01:35.900 just before 10 expecting to go right into the courtroom but of course we had some logistical

00:01:42.100 problems again nobody in the court could tell me what was going on i went to courtroom number five if

00:01:48.480 you've been to the ottawa courthouse hopefully for the right reasons you go downstairs and courtroom number

00:01:56.120 five is right next to the stairs as you exit the judge is sitting there alone couldn't find any of

00:02:04.000 the defense or prosecution lawyers anywhere asked around nobody seemed to know what was going on

00:02:09.700 finally found out well lawrence greenspawn the lead attorney or tamara leach was indisposed he had

00:02:18.500 had some other things had to take care of immediately so we were delayed by about an hour turned out to be

00:02:23.660 about an hour and a half actually the time we finally got in there but what a day the testimony was

00:02:28.780 incredible because we're down this could be the penultimate day in other words the day before the last day

00:02:34.280 of testimony and these summations right now from the defense are really wrapping up the case it's they're

00:02:44.560 not just concluding statements the defense is providing all of their analysis all of their efforts are

00:02:53.100 focused on why tamara leach and chris barber are not guilty of all of the things i mean and and you

00:03:01.460 know it's ridiculous because the story is not up yet but i was there writing today for the post

00:03:06.320 millennial please have a look at www.thepostmillennial.com it's one of the best media outlets in north

00:03:13.720 america and i'm very proud to be doing canadian and american news for it as a little a little uh plug

00:03:21.760 for the tp or tpm as a short form goes but it's it's quite interesting because remember what tamara

00:03:30.700 and chris are up against here and remember this trial began on september 5th 2023 we're almost a

00:03:38.520 year away from that like literally two weeks away from this being a year old and if they end the

00:03:45.480 testimony the summations on friday it's it ain't over because we got to come back for a verdict in

00:03:52.860 early 2025 i'm told now i was told today in confidence that the crown wants to wrap this up

00:03:59.820 by friday no i'm not talking about verdicts by friday but to get the statements done by friday i'm

00:04:04.880 told the crown wants it i find that a little hard to believe because the crown has of course

00:04:10.660 kept this trial going for as long as it's gone and it's it's what we call lawfare this is lawfare

00:04:18.220 or warfare against tamara leach and chris barber that's what this is all about now please continue

00:04:25.600 to like this station now because i see i see youtube is suppressing the numbers of people

00:04:30.180 actually seeing it i'm looking at the monitor now yep youtube is suppressing it tell your phone your

00:04:35.820 family and friends about this broadcast because it's very important what happened today people ask me

00:04:41.160 i mean why are you attending the freedom convoy trial anyway i mean does it matter what the outcome

00:04:47.100 is you bet it matters what the outcome is because if chris and tamara lose this if they're found not

00:04:53.080 guilty all canadians are going to be found sorry if they're found guilty all canadians are going to

00:04:59.220 be found guilty of opposing mandates during that pandemic of wanting the freedom to choose what to

00:05:05.940 put in their bodies about the freedom to choose what to do when faced with that decision and about the right

00:05:14.040 right not to have to wear a mask the right not not to obey arbitrary arbitrary instructions and i'm not

00:05:23.040 going to say anything more about this because you know what happens and you get too much into yes we

00:05:26.920 all know the vaccine was safe and effective yeah have to say that but of course we all know what the

00:05:35.480 reality is don't we and i want to tell you i want to read a few things from the yet to be published story

00:05:42.260 that i that i put together today because it's quite interesting because what we we had today was the

00:05:47.780 third member of the defense

00:05:49.860 trio a lawyer named eric granger he was up for the entire day eric lawrence greenspawn is up on friday

00:05:59.740 and he tells me he will finish all of his summation on friday it's really and it's up to whether or not

00:06:06.320 the crown is allowed to submit a written

00:06:09.080 summation

00:06:11.560 but once again i don't know if that's going to happen on friday or not i will be there

00:06:16.500 on friday i'm not going to miss this because once again this is a trial

00:06:20.080 that is significant to me it's very important to me

00:06:22.660 that we see this through to the end because

00:06:25.680 tamara and chris to me are canadian heroes i said this today

00:06:29.800 as i spoke to so many people who were there at the courthouse today both inside and out a lot of

00:06:36.000 them attending the trial some of them have been there from day one and i've got an interview with

00:06:40.080 a guy coming on here later who has literally been there from day one he's and he goes every day there

00:06:45.420 on trial this is what like day 42 now of this trial it's outrageous a mischief trial that goes on

00:06:53.780 for 42 days it's the longest mischief trial in canadian history possibly world history i heard

00:07:01.020 a number of people say that today i'm going to i'm going to confirm that for you by the next time i

00:07:05.720 come on the air i find that fascinating but if you consider what these two are facing here

00:07:13.580 they pleaded not guilty the charges of mischief intimidation obstruction

00:07:21.980 and other even more minor counts like i say this is the sort of nonsense that occurs at a wedding

00:07:27.780 reception and never gets the court this is all about a kangaroo court and i shouldn't say that

00:07:35.820 because the judge is being quite fair so that's perhaps the not the best analogy it's a show trial

00:07:41.000 it's a political show trial that the government is putting on and you know what even though trudeau

00:07:48.400 is the one who invoked the emergencies act who do you think is really doing the persecuting here

00:07:54.160 yes trudeau is standing behind it all trudeau is the one who crushed the freedom convoy trudeau is the

00:08:01.280 one who felt the pushback and actually had to stop persecuting canadians with his covet 19 mandates

00:08:08.500 but who is really persecuting tamara leach and chris barber it's the provincial government of ontario

00:08:14.880 that faux conservative government of doug ford the same faux conservative government of doug ford that

00:08:21.760 supported the emergencies act wholeheartedly doug ford was right on there on x on social media saying

00:08:28.760 good for you justin go after those truckers yes doug ford is the one persecuting tamara leach and chris barber

00:08:36.920 just as much as justin trudeau did during the invocation of the emergencies act

00:08:42.400 during granger's summation judge heather perkins mcveigh actually acknowledged that there was no

00:08:54.960 evidence leach ever blocked a street or a road so clearly the judge is quite open to evidence

00:09:03.540 and granger said a number of interesting things here

00:09:09.560 he said the prosecution has been unable to cite a single example of tamara leach actually breaking 0.55

00:09:20.680 the law and he said even if he put everything in context as the prosecution or the crown keeps

00:09:29.680 insisting put it in context put it in context

00:09:31.640 granger noted that the crown keeps calling about talking about context being taken into account

00:09:39.800 but even when the context is taken into account granger said

00:09:43.960 and these things are properly considered your honor is required to do so there still remains

00:09:51.560 there's no case against ms leach no case that is what 0.63

00:09:58.120 eric granger one of the defense

00:10:03.380 team lawyers said today now i found that very fascinating i'm going to show you a picture here

00:10:10.700 this was taken this week outside the courthouse and of course this was the first time during the

00:10:17.140 trial we were allowed to photograph the two of them together because prior to i think it was june

00:10:22.800 they were not allowed to be together even at the trial they could sit on the same bench

00:10:29.620 but they had to leave the courtroom separately and they could not fraternize outside of the courthouse

00:10:36.000 so i could never get a picture of the two of them together i we had to use old pictures when they

00:10:41.280 were together at the emergencies act inquiry or during the freedom convoy protest itself but i

00:10:47.000 couldn't get a fresh photograph of the two of them together because they weren't allowed to be in the

00:10:50.520 same vicinity now they are so we got a number of pictures of the day of the two of them together

00:10:55.460 and of course tamara posted one of the other pictures that i used at the on the last post

00:11:01.480 millennial story on her ex account because she really was touched by it and i thought that was

00:11:08.220 nicer to do that another really interesting piece of news today the notorious hoodie that the

00:11:19.340 prosecution was so concerned about they thought it was conspiratorial that two people were wearing it

00:11:24.900 including tamara leach and somebody else was wearing the same hoodie and of course the judge

00:11:30.860 quipped at the time well maybe there was a sale on she's got a real sense of humor very very strange

00:11:38.120 though how she's constantly interjecting during the testimony i i find that very strange and i've

00:11:44.000 heard that from other other folks as well but like i say she is trying to be fair and objective so at

00:11:50.960 least we we can we could be flat about that anyway here it is freedom convoy 2022 10-7 oh what does that

00:12:00.240 mean the defense or sorry the prosecution wonder what does 10-7 mean is that some sort of

00:12:05.820 conspiratorial term you find in the the dark internet or is it is that referring to insurrection

00:12:15.040 is that 10-7 that must be an insurrection against government right no it just means that the

00:12:20.500 truckers use this when they say they're out of service that their uh radio service is gone

00:12:25.900 or or or it means defunct not working unserviceable as we would say in military so that's all 10-7

00:12:35.240 amounts to and of course the defense really was having a good laugh over this and i talked to you

00:12:42.320 know tamara leach about this too and she thought that was just hilarious but right into my old friend 0.57

00:12:47.700 ezra levant today and ezra and i go back a long way we both worked at sun news at one time and

00:12:53.860 i remember when he worked on parliament hill i was there as well working for an mp he was working for

00:12:59.580 preston manning in his office and ezra has of course done wonderful work over the years and he's he'll

00:13:05.220 always be a good friend and yes in conservative media we all you know work together to some degree

00:13:09.440 because we're we are looking out not just for the bottom line we're looking out for values that matter

00:13:15.560 for canadians we're looking out for principles and ideals and we're looking for stories that the

00:13:21.220 mainstream media ignores or completely ridicules i just want to read a couple of tweets ezra put out

00:13:29.120 today excuse my glasses this is tamara leach's sweetness positive positivity and 0.98

00:13:34.800 in good nature is precisely why she was prosecuted in the show trial she was so much more compelling 1.00

00:13:43.240 than nasty trudeau they had to neutralize her as a public personality they had to throw 1.00

00:13:48.780 so these that this mud at her that's what this 43 day trial is 43 days 1.00

00:13:55.740 today 43 days today of trial

00:14:00.860 trudeau so badly wanted the trucker convoy to turn into his version of the u.s january 6

00:14:09.280 of course january 6 is democrat mythology but it is conventional wisdom in the mainstream media

00:14:15.360 meaning they trudeau wanted the freedom convoy to be a an insurrection he wanted people to think that

00:14:23.300 they were trying to take over the government forcefully and violently you listen to the testimony

00:14:29.600 the testimony that the prosecution introduces every last example you have either chris barber

00:14:39.140 or tamara leach saying please demonstrate peacefully obey the police do not disturb local citizens and on

00:14:47.060 yeah set it time and time again

00:14:49.600 no chance any real prosecutor would have prosecuted this no chance justice department bureaucrats would

00:14:58.000 have approved the 43 plus day trial it's a minor mischief case with no evidence and low chance of

00:15:04.960 conviction this trial is about one punish tamara to defame tamara and the same goes for chris barber

00:15:12.480 the same goes for chris barber how do you think this guy's supposed to work

00:15:16.620 tamara leach how is she supposed to work when she's constantly transiting back and forth from western 0.99

00:15:23.420 canada she's in medicine hat he's in saskatchewan swift current i believe and they're constantly going

00:15:30.520 back and forth now they're here all week because the trial resumed on monday continued tuesday and we

00:15:39.860 have to come back on friday so that's a whole week out of their lives that's a whole week out of the

00:15:45.600 lives of tamara leach and chris barber and that's what this is all about for the prosecution and for

00:15:51.780 justin trudeau and doug ford this is to make their life miserable their lives miserable this is about

00:15:57.100 ensuring they can't have adequate employment this is about ensuring they spend money they don't have

00:16:03.540 thank god they're being funded by small c conservative justice organizations i was told

00:16:09.400 today and i won't say who told me but the legal costs for chris and tamara are now approaching one

00:16:18.100 million dollars one million dollars could you afford that even if you sold your home could you afford that

00:16:25.620 probably not your home's probably not worth a million dollars could you afford a million dollar

00:16:31.200 trial nobody could unless they're a multi-millionaire then even then it takes a huge bite out of your

00:16:38.640 behind takes a huge bite out of your income but they're expected to just absorb this and have the

00:16:44.740 interference and have the inconvenience in their lives no problem these two are just sort of renegade

00:16:51.060 freedom fighters aren't they and the government doesn't really give a damn about what happens

00:16:58.200 to them this is all about justin trudeau's ego it's always been about justin trudeau's ego 0.98

00:17:03.980 and like i say how much has the prosecution spent millions of dollars tracking down idiotic leads that led 0.94

00:17:15.260 nowhere they got nothing i was there not a single piece of evidence to suggest either of these people 0.96

00:17:24.600 broke the law and somehow the best that the prosecution can do is to tar them by saying well

00:17:31.640 there were some individuals who said they were part of the freedom convoy who did some bad things

00:17:37.860 well there may have been but i'm sorry neither tamara or chris were responsible for the actions

00:17:45.860 of everybody who was living or visiting ottawa in february 2022 they were not responsible for the

00:17:51.960 actions of everybody who said oh i'm associated with that freedom convoy group no they ran a very

00:17:58.920 tight ship if you watch the instructions they gave and this nonsense that the prosecution is putting out

00:18:05.900 that they somehow were co-conspirators that they were meeting together every day to conspire against

00:18:10.340 the government conspire against the city of ottawa we're trying deliberately to set up gridlock in

00:18:16.420 the city which is all balderdash we have text messages we have the social media messages from

00:18:22.720 chris barber who looked after the trucks because he's a trucker himself he was the one who said don't

00:18:27.840 block traffic he was the one who wanted a slow roll every morning or at least once or twice a week

00:18:33.660 and not to park the trucks downtown and block traffic it was the ottawa police service that

00:18:39.540 said park the trucks here no you're not doing a slow roll just park the trucks here they were the

00:18:44.520 ones who created the traffic jam they were the ones who created the gridlock the ottawa police and that 0.99

00:18:49.220 idiot police chief both of them the deputy as well the bald-faced the bald-headed guy who looked like 0.99

00:18:55.460 mussolini they were the ones creating the problem downtown they were the ones creating the gridlock they 1.00

00:19:00.380 were the ones creating the so-called occupation so that's what's come out of this trial as well

00:19:06.000 this is all bs what you're being fed for the mainstream media you know there's a cbc reporter

00:19:12.620 who has been attending this trial and he's been doing very good objective reports because the

00:19:18.320 prosecution has been a clown show from day one and the defense team has done a bang-up job of getting

00:19:25.700 the information out there getting the truth out there they've done an excellent job starting with

00:19:30.700 with lawrence greenspond eric granger and diane maggis who's done a wonderful job she was up

00:19:37.900 last week doing some fabulous work and i'm glad that their legal work is being paid for by conservative

00:19:48.520 organizations that care and that there's conservative media there whether it's me or with rebel news

00:19:55.500 or whether it's other groups who are reporting this fairly inaccurately and yes i know you can yes i i

00:20:01.900 am very honest about the fact i want these two to be vindicated i want them to be innocent because i

00:20:08.640 think this is like the second world war you're on either on the side of righteousness and right or

00:20:12.860 you're on the side of evil and this is clearly one of those moments this is a bifurcation in our

00:20:19.600 society between good and good and bad good and evil right and wrong the freedom convoy was about

00:20:26.680 our freedom and these two put their their behinds on the line for us they put their own personal

00:20:35.360 freedom on the line so that canada could be freer no other country in the world put up the kind of

00:20:43.040 protest effective protest that these two did as part of the freedom convoy not the united states

00:20:49.220 there was very little productive protest in the united states not anywhere in europe certainly not

00:20:56.720 the uk which is a wasteland today which is a police state today but these the freedom convoy was the

00:21:05.940 difference the freedom convoy made a difference for freedom in canada for freedom around the world

00:21:11.820 and i talked to my american journalist friends and they say you know we didn't expect canada

00:21:16.920 to come through this way we didn't expect canadians to fight back against the government this forcefully

00:21:22.940 because canada always is prostrate in front of its government not this time we showed them

00:21:30.740 actually tamara and chris showed them and i was there for that entire freedom convoy protest

00:21:37.580 in the freezing february weather having a hell of a good time covering it because it was a great time

00:21:44.120 celebrating freedom and knowing we were doing the right thing and that's why i continue to go to

00:21:50.420 this trial i want to show you a clip here here's some of the people who were there today and you can

00:21:56.460 see why they were there

00:21:57.960 did you leave your mouse on the bench that's that's what i heard yes i'm going back to it

00:22:09.380 so what did you think of it so far today um i was drawing pictures today yeah so it's good yeah no i

00:22:18.200 i basically he's just going to refute what was heard by the crowd so i don't think that's too

00:22:25.320 hard that's not an untenable position they're going to take the the crown had nothing so

00:22:31.000 this is all just uh fill in the blanks basically do you mind giving your name my name is frank peters

00:22:37.320 frank peters and you're you've been following the trial from the beginning that every one of tamara and

00:22:42.540 uh christmas trials previous ones and this week as well last week and uh what's your gut feeling

00:22:50.140 about how this is going to turn out for them

00:22:54.860 oh we're going to win what that means yeah what does that mean well i think that i think they've

00:23:02.380 dug too deep a hole they're going to have to have some type of victory or they're going to face some

00:23:07.180 repercussions whether it's in another court or a lawsuit but i think they're going to have to get

00:23:12.220 them on something i don't want to say what i think because i don't want to jinx it but i hopefully

00:23:18.220 she seems to see that this is all just a charade um and i could tell by when she nods her heads and

00:23:28.620 when she looks at the crowd to see what we react to certain things because we do react to certain

00:23:33.820 things that are said and i think she looks more to the crowd than even inward to see what the general

00:23:39.580 population's feeling in that room you know so there's a lot of common sense at play here and

00:23:44.540 i think she's gonna she's gonna prevail i know one thing she's gonna definitely have to dot all 0.97

00:23:49.580 their i's and cross her t's because if she doesn't there'll be a um mistrial or something stupid so

00:23:56.460 i think she's just waiting it out so she can do her uh final report and um i think it'll be like

00:24:02.300 time served um try not to get too much trouble have a nice day okay i'm just going to wander

00:24:09.340 over here and talk to some other folks so you mind saying a few words yeah hi my name's cliff and

00:24:19.260 ontario loves to jail grandmothers linda gibbons is in jail right now in toronto for pro-life stands 1.00

00:24:25.820 for doing nothing she's almost done 20 years of her life in jail and they want to put another

00:24:30.700 grandmother in jail right now in ottawa here in ontario her name is tamara lich so that's ontario

00:24:37.100 does not like grandmothers and they want to jail them yeah that's why i'm here today and i'm hearing

00:24:42.220 support good for you i just want to get a look at your posters here so what's your what's your gut

00:24:48.700 feeling about this trial here do you think what i i know for a fact that that's a politically

00:24:53.500 motivated trial for sure and it's a persecution and it's so obvious that it it defines itself i know

00:25:02.380 for a fact that uh here in ottawa the chief slowly said it was a political trial uh diane deans who was 0.99

00:25:10.300 on the police board in city council offered slowly a package to leave which made an interference

00:25:17.180 politically so by definition this is a political trial and there's no reason it should have gone

00:25:22.620 off this long and it's gone off it's obviously a persecution it's a show trial they're making an

00:25:28.700 example of people like tamara not to mess with the system or the system will mess with you

00:25:34.380 well certainly 12 months is a long time for a mischief trial and it still hasn't ended and it's

00:25:41.260 the longest mischief trial in in canada i believe and the thing about this trial and the location this

00:25:48.780 is a hot highly volatile area there's so many things going on here that they don't have the manpower to

00:25:56.300 deal with what's going on in this city the violence um the crime and everything but yet they're

00:26:01.500 persecuting a grandmother for what is it conspiracy to commit mischief well they're grasping at straws

00:26:09.580 and throwing spaghetti against the wall and hoping for a conviction this is so obviously a political

00:26:15.660 persecution do you mind giving your last name cliff or is this one yeah my name is cliff saint paul

00:26:21.020 cliff saint paul yeah thank you for your time thank you bye-bye and that was cliff saint paul who was

00:26:28.140 also doing some other activist work there and i take my hat off for him coming these people have

00:26:34.780 come to this trial sometimes every day and they're out there outside the courthouse telling people why

00:26:40.300 they're there and it's for the same reason i go as a journalist i think this story needs to be told

00:26:45.740 and we can't ignore it and we have to support people who supported us during the pandemic because as i

00:26:53.340 said the other day in the story that has gone viral monkey pox is the next one monkey pox is the next

00:27:00.940 pandemic even though it's supposedly only something that is transmitted through same-sex male same-sex

00:27:11.020 activity but yet we're all going to get it and yeah there's i we need a new vaccine

00:27:17.660 what do you say billions of dollars again the big pharma to produce another vaccine

00:27:25.340 that we're all going to have to take not this time brother not this time i'm i took it the vaccine twice

00:27:33.420 the last time i think we learned a lesson during the during the last pandemic anyway thank you for

00:27:40.220 watching today i will be back tomorrow with more of the news you need to know and i will be attending

00:27:45.900 the trial when it resumes on friday that could be and i'm told will be the last day of testimony and

00:27:54.780 we expect a verdict sometime in the new year 2025 isn't that incredible would you have believed it

00:28:05.020 when we first joined me a year ago on september 5th 2023 on the first day of this trial would you

00:28:11.580 believe we'd be at day 43 almost 12 months later before this thing was finally concluded

00:28:20.460 at least in terms of testimony and we'd still be waiting for a verdict it's true folks that's what

00:28:28.540 your country canada that's what our country canada has come to but let's stick together let's fight

00:28:36.620 together let's resolve to resist and share this station with your friends and family tell everybody

00:28:43.660 about it and we'll be back again tomorrow and please join me again on friday when i've got more

00:28:48.860 to say about this trial thank you and god bless you
