I've been here from the beginning and never left.
00:00:30.000
So, we are in a very precarious position in this country.
00:00:38.180
We need political change, but we also need to resolve to resist.
00:00:52.520
Welcome back to another Take 5 with Stand On Guard.
00:00:57.120
And we're back with day 10 of what I am calling the Freedom Trial, the Freedom Convoy Trial
00:01:12.520
Originally this trial was scheduled for 16 days.
00:01:17.920
We just started hearing from some of the non-police witnesses for the prosecution today.
00:01:27.120
Mr. Kim Ayotte, who is the general manager of the emergency preparedness section of the
00:01:39.460
He was actually asked to leave the courtroom twice by the judge so they could discuss the
00:01:43.260
matter between the prosecution and the defense.
00:01:46.640
The prosecution again seemed completely ill prepared and really their methods were questioned
00:01:53.200
by the judge, who is Justice Heather Perkins McVeigh.
00:01:58.160
And she asked the prosecution, what are you trying to achieve with this?
00:02:06.160
And he seems to think he's just talking about his job description.
00:02:11.680
And the defense attorney, Lawrence Greenspawn, picked up on this right away.
00:02:19.680
And he said, why is Mr. Ayotte appearing at this trial?
00:02:23.720
Why did he come to this courthouse without a single note on his person, in his possession?
00:02:34.480
And the judge actually mentioned this and said, how are you going to remember if the information
00:02:40.880
you're relating to us today was firsthand information that you actually garnered yourself or secondhand
00:02:47.040
information, which you were told, which becomes hearsay in any trial?
00:02:52.560
Well, and the Mr. Ayotte simply said, well, it's not something that's on the top of my head,
00:03:00.500
And he actually said that he was under the assumption that he was there today merely to talk about
00:03:09.980
Now, I'm wondering, I've said this in the past, the prosecution presents a gong show at times.
00:03:14.820
They don't seem to know what they want to do with their witnesses.
00:03:18.300
Clearly, if he was just there to talk about his job description, we are wasting time.
00:03:23.280
And by the afternoon, of course, he started to get into a little more detail about things.
00:03:29.200
And once again, the defense cautioned him and the court about using words like riot, because
00:03:36.320
he said, that's all we're going to see on the news tonight is that word riot.
00:03:41.100
And it's interesting how this went today, because once again, the prosecution seems to be playing
00:03:47.340
the best defense possible for Tamara Leach and Chris Barber.
00:03:53.720
And I have been there for some of the most difficult portions where it's quite difficult.
00:04:02.580
It is tedious at times to listen to some of the evidence that's being presented.
00:04:07.880
This is all part of the voir dire process of Canadian law.
00:04:13.020
For those of you who are not associated with it, I would read it up, read up on it when you have a chance.
00:04:20.100
But it can be fundamentally boring if you're watching from the seats in the courtroom.
00:04:30.900
As a reporter, it can be very difficult to watch.
00:04:33.660
But it's getting a little more interesting today.
00:04:35.380
Anyway, as I said, the prosecution continues to, in my view, screw up.
00:04:42.160
Now, interesting aside as well, Mr. Greenspawn also brought up the issue about these Ottawa residents
00:05:03.520
But there's eight witnesses who are residents of Ottawa who are going to claim they had their
00:05:12.640
They're probably going to be talking about an occupation, a ridiculous terminology, a ridiculous
00:05:17.880
piece of terminology when describing a peaceful protest in Ottawa.
00:05:25.380
But Greenspawn said again today, why are we listening to eight people that are all saying
00:05:36.440
He mentioned at least one of the witnesses only answered two of the questions posed to
00:05:42.200
That they're making a lot of allegations that they really can't back up.
00:05:46.280
You know, he mentioned the fact that people are talking about license plate numbers, but
00:05:51.540
they're not even sure whether those license plate numbers correspond to truckers who are
00:05:57.140
actually in the convoy, who are part of the protest.
00:06:08.020
And it's going to require more days of testimony for the defense to respond to these witnesses
00:06:15.820
who are merely saying, hey, we had our lives upended.
00:06:20.000
Because apparently they didn't like honking, even though it's been, I think, clearly established
00:06:25.900
that the honking did not persist throughout the night.
00:06:29.000
And that both Tamara Leach and Chris Barber cautioned the truckers not to keep honking all
00:06:37.160
night long because it would be a real problem for the Ottawa residents.
00:06:48.420
So the very suggestion that they were up 24 hours, seven days a week honking their horns
00:07:00.940
I think the defense is continuing to maintain its hegemony in these procedures.
00:07:08.620
The prosecution is continuing to demonstrate it is not really equipped to present this case
00:07:22.500
The judge said, again, today when their witness said he was just there to give a job description,
00:07:36.440
And if he didn't understand that when he got to the courtroom today, that's a problem.
00:07:45.080
But before I go there, before I get to the courtroom, if I get there at all tomorrow,
00:07:51.220
the million-person march is tomorrow morning, 9 a.m., Ottawa time, Vancouver time, Halifax.
00:08:01.960
This is a one-million-person march for children.
00:08:04.960
It's for the children who are being exposed to gender ideology and this pronoun nonsense
00:08:14.240
Teachers' unions, not necessarily all teachers, but teachers' unions are pushing this gender
00:08:20.880
There is no such thing as mass gender dysphoria in our schools.
00:08:27.440
It's a political problem that's been totally manufactured.
00:08:31.500
But yet, the government, the provincial governments, with the exception of Saskatchewan and New
00:08:41.960
The federal government continues to push it through Justin Trudeau.
00:08:44.800
He is an advocate of everything LGBTQ+, including gender ideology.
00:08:50.680
He is pushing this agenda as strongly as he can.
00:08:53.300
And he tells everybody that if you oppose this agenda, if you don't think as a parent you
00:08:58.020
have a right to know, if your child under 16 years of age decides they want to change
00:09:03.260
their gender or change their pronouns, that you don't have a right to know.
00:09:09.200
And you certainly don't have a right to demand your permission to grant that.
00:09:16.960
And we're expecting a counter-protest tomorrow that has been spawned and, as they say to
00:09:23.520
themselves, co-conspired by the Ontario public unions, as well as others, who all got together
00:09:32.300
last week on a Zoom call to say that they're going to do everything in their power to disrupt
00:09:39.280
They don't think parents have a right to raise their children.
00:09:47.360
And they have the gall, they have the nerve to suggest parental rights have something to
00:10:01.920
Fascism is a state where the children can tell on their parents and get them sent to jail
00:10:08.880
The family is destroyed and only the state matters.
00:10:13.840
And that's what these teachers unions are pushing.
00:10:16.680
So I think we might have stopped this counter-protest because we've embarrassed these teachers unions
00:10:22.640
and show them up for what they are, a bunch of LGBTQ activists who are taking money from
00:10:31.460
They're taking a salary for not doing their job on behalf of the members, but doing political
00:10:38.880
And organizing counter-protest to parental rights marches.
00:10:46.420
We're going to talk about that tomorrow at the march.
00:10:49.180
We're going to talk about the fact that these public service unions are actually not representing
00:11:00.260
And I have received many messages on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, emails from
00:11:10.640
parents who belong to these unions that were present at this Zoom call.
00:11:20.440
I'm not some sort of far-right ultra-conservative because I think I have a right to raise my children
00:11:32.480
And they're condemning that union leadership, which is not leadership.
00:11:36.480
And they're condemning the fact that these people want to upset, disrupt, stop a peaceful protest
00:11:50.900
Enough is enough from Justin Trudeau and his identity politics.
00:11:54.280
Enough is enough from Justin Trudeau and the provincial premiers who back him with their gender
00:12:01.340
ideology, we want equality under the law, not special identity politics for every subdivided group
00:12:21.880
Other places, it's at your provincial legislature or your local mayor's office, your town hall.
00:12:36.800
I look forward to hearing that we not only had a million people marching on Wednesday,
00:12:42.920
but we exceeded that number by all expectations.
00:12:49.540
And the weather in Ottawa is going to be sunny and warm.
00:12:56.960
I'll be back again tomorrow to tell you how the march went, what happened, more about the freedom trial
00:13:04.580
of Tamara Leach and Chris Barber, and all beyond that until we hope.
00:13:12.740
These two protesters who cared so much about freedom that they put their freedom on the line for all Canadians
00:13:21.520
to end COVID mandates, they are vindicated and they walk free.

Hi, this is David Creighton from Creighton's Right and Stand on Guard.
00:14:00.360
I've been practicing journalism in one form or another for over 30 years.
00:14:06.120
I've worked in print, radio, and television for a lot of prestigious publications and media outlets.
00:14:18.200
I know how Ottawa works, and I know how corrupt federal government can be.
00:14:23.240
But you can play a part in opposing Justin Trudeau's government and Justin Trudeau's plans for Canada.
00:14:34.280
You can become a part of the Creighton's Right resistance.
00:14:38.500
Now, I urge you today, please support this station in any way you can.
00:14:44.560
Ring that bell, subscribe, because that ensures you're at least going to continue to be able to watch these episodes.
00:14:54.060
But more importantly, I need your financial support.
00:15:01.080
I made a decision to pursue independent media because I believe it was the best possible route for me to take as a journalist and as a concerned citizen of Canada.
00:15:16.580
And at only $5, you can become a part of that on YouTube, on Substack, and with Buy Me a Copy, a one-time donation.
00:15:30.540
If you've already done that, if you're already supporting this station, thank you.
