00:01:02.160 So we are in a very precarious position in this country. We need political change, but we also need to resolve to resist.
00:01:16.160 We are just about to begin the march. Because of the counter-protest, we have rearranged the schedule to have the speakers after the march.
00:01:30.160 Well, a little bit there at the beginning from a huge, a monumental, a gargantuan date in Canadian history, September 20th, 2023.
00:01:47.320 Do I look a little tired? Well, I've been up since 5, and I've been covering the Million Person March, otherwise known as the hashtag One Million March for Children.
00:02:01.480 And it has been a huge success.
00:02:06.480 Not just here in Ottawa, where I estimate about 10,000 people were there at the peak for the actual march, which occurred about 1120, 1130.
00:02:19.480 And people began to leave via East Block and Parliament Hill and went to Wellington and then down Elgin Street.
00:02:28.480 It was a huge success.
00:02:30.480 Now, there have been marches across Canada today.
00:02:35.480 Some of them were very exciting, to put it mildly.
00:02:41.480 There were fights at some of these events.
00:02:44.480 At the event today, one, I understand it was an adolescent, stomped on the gay pride parade and police arrested him, presumably for a hate crime.
00:02:57.480 I'm not sure, but I do understand that this individual was released and the charges were dropped.
00:03:04.480 The police were a little trigger happy today.
00:03:07.480 I don't mean that literally.
00:03:08.480 No, they reached for their guns, but they were a little bit tense.
00:03:14.480 In fact, they even had the horses ready to go.
00:03:19.480 It's like they were anticipating violence.

00:03:24.480 We suspect that the counter-protest that erupted was very much known to them and that the police shared intelligence with them about our event with these counter-protesters.
00:03:41.480 Now, of course, this event today, this protest was all about SOGI or SOGI, which is the sexual orientation, gender ideology in the schools.
00:03:52.480 It's the obsession with sex, sexual orientation, gender ideology, suggesting there's gender dysphoria among six-year-olds, suggesting that there's a need to change pronouns,
00:04:09.480 that children should be able to change their gender without their parents not only knowing about it, but not providing their permission.
00:04:26.480 And this is, of course, unacceptable.
00:04:30.480 And this is what this march today was all about, is saying enough is enough.

00:04:51.480 And I tell you, there was a counter-protest, perhaps a thousand people.
00:04:57.480 It was well orchestrated, though, because, as I spoke about the other day,
00:05:03.920 on a September 15th Zoom call, the President of the Ontario Federation of Labor
00:05:11.440 got together a bunch of other union honchos, largely from the public sector,
00:05:17.840 and declared her desire to thwart, to stop, to disrupt this million-person march
00:05:26.120 in Ottawa, and presumably other cities.
00:05:30.000 But she focused on Ottawa, and she said that she was going to do whatever she could.
00:05:35.200 And the other people on the line talked about intimidation tactics,
00:05:39.780 getting license plate numbers, using activists.
00:05:43.540 Did they mean Antifa? Perhaps.
00:05:46.380 I don't know if Antifa was out in strength today.
00:05:48.260 They might have been in other cities.
00:05:50.900 The protest in Ottawa was completely peaceful,
00:05:54.580 except there was an altercation between our organizers, Camille El-Sheikh,
00:06:02.000 who you have seen me interview on two occasions,
00:06:06.540 and we have spoken about this million-person march at length for the last two months.
00:06:13.900 It's been an intense preparation and planning with Camille and others.
00:06:19.480 It's largely been a project of Canada's Muslim community,
00:06:23.960 and I applaud them for the work and commitment they put into this.

00:06:30.780 But it was a largely peaceful protest today.
00:06:33.820 The exception, I say, and I say this half-jokingly,
00:06:38.180 Camille got into a slight altercation with the other coalition leader of the Trudeau government,
00:06:45.720 NDP leader Jagmut Singh, who, when he confronted Camille,
00:06:51.940 and he put his two fingers at his eye and pointed them back.
00:06:55.760 Now, I assume this is some kind of inappropriate gesture.
00:07:01.680 Certainly, it looks like the evil eye to me, but it's not a polite gesture.
00:07:07.240 So Camille just stared him down.
00:07:09.060 It goes to show you how immature Jagmut Singh is.

00:11:12.080 He said, I'm tired of the Trudeau government telling me how I should interpret the Koran,

00:11:21.160 And Christians have been saying that for years, too.

00:11:29.100 He picks and chooses from the Catholic doctrines what he wants to follow and what he rejects.
