Summary

A recent poll suggests that the Liberals are catching up to the Tories in the polls. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? And what role does the media play in this development? And why do they support the Liberals so much?

00:00:00.000 Hi, good morning. Happy Saturday. I hope you're enjoying your morning so far. Welcome back to another episode of Stand on Guard. I'm your host, David Creighton. When we come back, we're going to be looking at a couple of things today. Immigration and the recent poll that suggests the liberals are just catching up. We'll be right back.
00:00:30.000 We need to put it to change. But we also need to resolve to resist.
00:01:00.000 And thank you for watching today. And like the station if you can right now. And tell your friends and family that this station is out here. I think we give some analysis that is rather good at times, if I do say so myself.
00:01:13.980 We'll be coming back with this story in a minute. This is a huge development. Ottawa planning a processing center for asylum seekers in Quebec and the U.S. port. Where have we seen this one before?
00:01:26.860 Remember, remember 2017, 2018, 2019, Roxham Road, when hundreds of thousands streamed across the border.
00:01:38.400 Now, this is obviously going to be happening again as a result of the mass deportations in the states. We'll get to that in a minute.
00:01:47.620 But I wanted to talk about something else before we got there, because it's been a concern for a lot of folks on this station.
00:01:56.860 And that's this recent poll.
00:02:01.240 I mean, look at this poll.
00:02:05.100 This is apparently liberals are over 30 percentage points now.
00:02:10.960 Just over 30 percentage points.
00:02:13.500 And this, of course, just weeks after or just days after another poll said they were 26.
00:02:21.340 And I'll show you, you know, let's let's have a look at that.
00:02:25.460 Here's the abacus poll.
00:02:27.440 Just a couple of days difference.
00:02:29.260 26.
00:02:30.700 Conservatives lead by 26 points in the abacus poll.
00:02:36.000 The ecus poll.
00:02:38.980 They're at 31.7 percent.
00:02:42.700 Against 38.
00:02:44.100 Only seven percentage points behind.
00:02:46.400 Can this be true?
00:02:47.680 Well, I tell you why I say it's not true.
00:02:53.060 And the reason is I don't trust the ecus polling because of its globalist and I would argue very woke founder and president.
00:03:04.520 Frank Graves, who is a great friend of liberals and is a huge enemy of pure poly and the conservatives or any small C conservative, really an enemy of the People's Party of Canada and Maxime Bernier, cannot stand anything that disagrees with his worldview.
00:03:22.260 But I tell you the clue to knowing why this poll is skewed.
00:03:28.820 I'm not saying I don't know if the liberals bought this poll.
00:03:31.520 I think they would have indicated that that's only ethical.
00:03:35.360 If the liberals had bought this poll, they would have indicated this is a legitimate polling company.
00:03:41.800 I think they have their biases and I think they make their biases very clear.
00:03:47.340 So you have to take their product with that in mind.
00:03:55.200 But I don't expect everybody to try to read this.
00:03:59.060 I'll read the most pertinent part here.
00:04:00.840 This explains you have to read literally the fine print of this poll to discover exactly why you have to take it with a grain of salt.
00:04:09.940 Because it literally breathes, well, no, not literally.
00:04:18.380 It literally mirrors liberal talking points.
00:04:23.300 I'm not saying that right.
00:04:26.060 But here it is.
00:04:27.520 The liberal resurgence seems to be driven by three factors.
00:04:32.260 First, Justin Schroeder's resignation produced a modest but noticeable boost to the party's standing.
00:04:36.540 Actually, it didn't, from all other polls indicate no.
00:04:40.860 Second, the extensive media coverage of the liberal leadership race accelerated this rise.
00:04:45.580 This extensive media coverage has been appallingly bad.
00:04:55.280 You watched it with me.
00:04:56.980 Mark Carney's opening day in Edmonton was a catastrophe.
00:05:03.700 His speech was awful.
00:05:06.540 It was a complete disaster.
00:05:10.780 How about Christia Freeland's announcement in Toronto about a week ago now?
00:05:18.260 Yeah, a week ago today.
00:05:20.020 That was another disaster.
00:05:22.560 She was interrupted at least five times.
00:05:27.220 Some say 13.
00:05:28.260 She was by protesters who had to be physically dragged out of the auditorium, interrupting her speech.
00:05:35.600 Her speech was terrible.
00:05:37.080 Her cadence was two words, take a deep breath.
00:05:40.760 Two words, take a deep breath.
00:05:42.800 She did not get much of a message across.
00:05:45.740 So the extensive media coverage has all been horrible.
00:05:50.420 But Eco says, finally, the cavalcade of radical announcement from the freshly inaugurated Donald Trump has spurred a renewed sense of national identity.
00:05:59.460 Ah, that's the key.
00:06:04.440 There's the liberal bias.
00:06:07.500 Donald Trump evil.
00:06:08.380 All of the things Donald Trump has announced since his inauguration, bad.
00:06:14.040 Canadians don't like that.
00:06:16.200 Canadians, therefore, are going to support the liberals because, huh?
00:06:19.940 The liberals represent national identity.
00:06:23.500 Prompting Canadians to rally around their incumbent leaders in a show of solidarity.
00:06:29.720 That's exactly what I've been telling you the liberals are doing right now.
00:06:33.980 Pretending to be the party of Canada again.
00:06:36.920 Everybody rally around the liberal party and Justin Trudeau because we all hate Donald Trump.
00:06:43.660 That's the liberal strategy.
00:06:46.260 Everybody gather around and oppose Donald Trump and the liberal party reaps the dividends.
00:06:52.100 Canadians are not that stupid.
00:06:54.880 That's what the liberal party wants you to believe.
00:06:57.560 That's what the liberal party wants you to do.
00:07:00.420 And that's what Eco says is happening.
00:07:03.480 I find that highly suspicious.
00:07:09.380 Both major liberal leadership hopefuls, Mark Carney and Christy Freeland, have taken definitive stances against any potential tariffs imposed by the Trump administration.
00:07:17.920 Here's the anti-Polyev view.
00:07:21.300 In contrast, Pierre Polyev's reaction has been somewhat more muted as he has the unenviable task of reconciling the diverging positions of other conservatives, particularly Doug Ford and Daniel Smith.
00:07:34.160 Instead, Mr. Polly's focus has been on the carbon tax and Mr. Trudeau, which may no longer be the salient issues.
00:07:41.980 His framing of the election may need to pivot and the results so far are not working in the conservative party's favor.
00:07:49.440 All right.
00:07:50.940 Enough said about that.
00:07:52.620 What the fine print in this Eco's poll says is all liberal talking points.
00:08:00.580 That's precisely what they're up to here.
00:08:04.900 Another reason I don't trust Eco's.
00:08:07.020 Here's another Eco's poll I wrote a story on for the post-millennial.
00:08:10.680 It's back in October.
00:08:11.540 95% of Canadians planning to vote conservative, and that means either for the Conservative Party of Canada or the People's Party of Canada, accused of being disinformed on economy, climate change, right to bear arms in COVID vaccines.
00:08:29.160 Now, if you read this article, I encourage you to do that.
00:08:34.320 You'll find out how Frank Graves defines disinformation.
00:08:40.260 It's anything he disagrees with, essentially, if you read this.
00:08:44.820 So if you're opposed to certain policies, they're immediately as a result of your being susceptible to disinformation.
00:08:57.720 And so if you didn't answer the right way, if you didn't answer according to Eco's worldview, Eco's vision of how you should respond, you're in trouble.
00:09:11.520 And you are giving in, you are susceptible to disinformation.
00:09:16.320 This is what Eco's has done in the past.
00:09:18.960 Is there a bias here?
00:09:20.240 Of course there is.
00:09:21.520 And this bias has been evident if you go over Eco's polling for the last three months.
00:09:31.640 The Liberals have always scored much higher.
00:09:34.920 I think this last poll is completely off.
00:09:38.320 So, back to our main story today, which is immigration.
00:09:49.220 Are the illegal immigrants coming north?
00:09:51.100 You bet they are.
00:09:52.620 Because the deportations have started in the States.
00:09:55.560 Now, right now, let's have a look at this story.
00:09:57.300 Right now, they're targeted.
00:09:59.500 And people say, oh, it's just the criminals.
00:10:02.040 That's how it's going to start.
00:10:03.200 Military deportation flights are the most visible sign of Donald Trump's hard turn on immigration.
00:10:09.480 Up to 80 Guatemalan migrants were removed from the U.S. by Air Force Transport Thursday.
00:10:15.060 Though similar flights happen regularly under President Joe Biden,
00:10:19.140 Trump's decision to use military aircraft is new,
00:10:22.520 part of a strategy that will also see thousands of troops deployed to the border.
00:10:27.600 In Juarez, Mexico, dozens of Mexican migrants were also returned from the U.S.
00:10:32.600 Everyone is getting caught.
00:10:36.100 I don't recommend to cross, says this man.
00:10:38.600 We're getting the bad, hard criminals out.
00:10:41.020 These are murderers.
00:10:41.920 These are people that have been as bad as you get, as bad as anybody you've seen.
00:10:47.540 We're taking them out first.
00:10:49.040 It's not clear what specific crimes the first Trump-era deportees committed.
00:10:54.560 In Boston, immigration enforcement raids unfolded in a residential neighborhood.
00:10:59.020 In Newark, New Jersey, a raid on a business swept up three undocumented workers.
00:11:05.060 Several U.S. citizens...
00:11:07.020 Undocumented?
00:11:08.740 Do we mean illegal?
00:11:10.680 ...were also briefly detained by ICE authorities.
00:11:13.520 None of these people were rapists or murderers or criminals.
00:11:18.220 The problem with it is that ICE went in there without a warrant.
00:11:25.100 Despite all the bluster, the pace of deportations is so far on par with what unfolded during the
00:11:30.940 Biden years.
00:11:32.380 Trump has promised to go further.
00:11:34.460 Mass detention camps and sweeping raids are expected in the coming weeks.
00:11:38.760 ICE has overreached beyond what should be constitutionally allowed.
00:11:43.980 Protests as they might, local officials have little power to...
00:11:48.140 Notice it's what should be constitutionally allowed, not what is constitutionally allowed.
00:11:54.000 That's how the woke left always describes the situation.
00:11:57.460 ...stop what's coming, leaving immigrant communities to fear their American dream may become a nightmare.
00:12:03.480 Oh, you want an American dream?
00:12:06.880 Get in line and emigrate, emigrate, illegally.
00:12:11.620 Illegally, sorry.
00:12:14.000 We've had four years of this nonsense.
00:12:17.400 Tens of millions of illegal immigrants getting into the United States.
00:12:22.020 And Donald Trump is saying there's an end.
00:12:24.600 But once Tom Holman, the border czar made it quite clear during the transition phase, when
00:12:33.240 it was president-elect Donald Trump, that the deportations would begin with security risks
00:12:40.000 in criminals, terrorists, national security risks, criminals.
00:12:45.020 People, they would be the first to go.
00:12:48.520 They would be targeted.
00:12:49.980 Then the mass deportations would begin.
00:12:52.680 So that's what's coming.
00:12:55.960 Now, how does Jagmeet Singh, I just, you know, he said this the other day, I hope nobody would
00:13:00.400 notice, but Jagmeet Singh wants transgender people to be included as refugees because Donald
00:13:09.900 Trump had the common sense to say the United States government only recognizes two sexes
00:13:14.760 and so should the Canadian government.
00:13:16.600 There are only two.
00:13:18.160 And you're not in danger just because your government doesn't recognize your desire
00:13:22.320 to want to be something else, to pretend to be something else, to dress up like something
00:13:27.420 else.
00:13:28.540 You're not going to go to jail for that.
00:13:30.080 Nobody's going to arrest you for that.
00:13:31.720 Nobody's going to come around and taunt you for that.
00:13:35.060 You've always had that right.
00:13:36.920 Except the official policy is there's only two sexes or genders.
00:13:40.920 Should Canada amend the safe third country agreement for trans-Americans who come to our borders
00:13:49.880 seeking refuge?
00:13:50.720 On that note, I think it's really sad for the folks in the States right now that heard the
00:13:57.400 president basically say that they don't exist or that their reality or their identity is no
00:14:02.740 longer recognized.
00:14:04.200 It's really scary for a lot of folks.
00:14:06.500 And I just want to acknowledge how scary that must be for people who heard that, who now feel
00:14:10.220 really alone, who feel really afraid.
00:14:11.740 I think what Canada has always done is shown as a country that we are there for people when
00:14:17.800 they're in their times in need.
00:14:18.900 It's something that's been a point of pride of Canada.
00:14:22.040 So looking at the third country, that agreement and how we can amend it, it's been something
00:14:29.140 that we've been considering for a while.
00:14:30.700 We've raised concerns about the agreement for a while.
00:14:34.260 And so it's something we'll look at.
00:14:37.740 Your answer is yes.
00:14:39.380 Something we'll look at.
00:14:40.120 Yes.
00:14:40.320 He agrees with that.
00:14:42.740 And while we're on Jagmeet Singh, by the way, he let the cat out of the bag again, that
00:14:50.000 he's prepared to vote against the government when the House resumes sitting.
00:14:56.160 Said it again.
00:14:57.060 Let's listen to him.
00:14:57.760 You criticized the prime minister's decision to prorogue parliament amid the Trump threats.
00:15:02.800 Is there not a value in kind of waiting until parliament is back sitting and using that time
00:15:08.340 in parliament to be able to scrutinize government and handle that?
00:15:11.120 With unity, like you said, why do you need to go to an election immediately at the first time?
00:15:16.220 Don't you love this liberal reporter?
00:15:19.380 I don't know who it is, but here's a reporter saying, how dare you even suggest we bring
00:15:25.240 down the Trudeau government right now?
00:15:27.200 Let's keep them in power for as long as possible.
00:15:29.880 Even though Donald Trump says, I can't work with you.
00:15:33.140 I can't work with the liberal government.
00:15:34.660 I can't work with Justin Trudeau.
00:15:36.320 I refuse to do it.
00:15:38.260 Have elections.
00:15:39.380 Get a new government.
00:15:40.480 Get a legitimate government that I can deal with.
00:15:42.500 That's what Donald Trump is saying.
00:15:43.560 And of course, the media core in Canada still don't get it.
00:15:51.080 The Trudeau's illegitimate.
00:15:52.880 We need new elections now if we're going to beat this terror.
00:15:58.600 I think it's been really clear that the liberals have let down people.
00:16:02.400 People tell me they've been let down by them.
00:16:04.120 They chose to prorogue government.
00:16:05.780 They could have been sitting.
00:16:06.900 We could have been passing laws that would protect workers.
00:16:09.580 They would get us ready for this trade war.
00:16:11.080 They chose not to.
00:16:13.180 So people who feel, who tell me they feel let down by the liberals,
00:16:16.500 I understand that.
00:16:17.780 And now we've got a choice in this next election.
00:16:20.140 It's going to be between conservatives who want to cut
00:16:22.380 and it's going to cost you or new Democrats
00:16:24.720 who want to make life more affordable.
00:16:26.820 So if you reject conservative cuts in Pierre Polyev,
00:16:29.980 I invite you to stand with me.
00:16:31.440 Stand with me this time and we can fight together and we can win.
00:16:36.160 He said it.
00:16:37.880 He's going to oppose the Trudeau government when they get back.
00:16:41.720 Whenever that is.
00:16:42.420 That could be as early as February 14th or 15th,
00:16:45.640 as we've discussed on this station in the past,
00:16:48.180 because of the constitutional challenge,
00:16:50.880 the Supreme Court challenge to prorogation.
00:16:54.000 Very, very possible.
00:16:55.940 Now, Mark Miller has made some interesting comments.
00:17:00.320 Once again, he went crazy because Pierre Polyev suggested
00:17:04.840 that Canada's policy about transgenderism, about sex,
00:17:08.440 should be the same.
00:17:10.360 That there are officially, we recognize two sexes.
00:17:14.000 And this sent Mark Miller.
00:17:16.240 Remember Mark Miller?
00:17:17.180 He's the guy at the back of the class we all had in high school,
00:17:20.380 constantly putting his hand up,
00:17:22.740 trying to answer the question,
00:17:24.140 but he never had the right answer.
00:17:26.400 That's Mark Miller.
00:17:28.200 And here he is talking about border security.
00:17:32.180 After his announcement in Fredericton,
00:17:34.280 Pierre Polyev spoke to Global News about his policy around gender identity.
00:17:39.020 Polyev has said that he's only aware of two genders.
00:17:41.940 My policies on this have been very clear.
00:17:44.100 No men in women's prisons, sports, or bathrooms.
00:17:47.160 And we believe that it's inappropriate for dudes to be in women's prisons,
00:17:57.260 in women's sports, and in women's bathrooms.
00:18:00.080 The statement came in response to President Trump's executive order,
00:18:03.420 only recognizing males and females in the United States.
00:18:07.020 He says he would implement a similar policy here in Canada,
00:18:10.040 if he becomes Prime Minister.
00:18:11.800 Polyev didn't provide any further details about the proposed policy,
00:18:15.280 but did say it would take effect immediately after he took office.
00:18:20.860 Pierre Polyev, again, is being a jackass.
00:18:22.860 With his whole weaponization of the gender debate,
00:18:25.800 he said he only recognizes two genders.
00:18:29.580 I've only ever seen him really recognize one,
00:18:31.560 or spend most of his time on one gender.
00:18:32.960 So at least that's a step up.
00:18:34.900 But again, he...
00:18:35.800 What the hell does that mean, Mark?
00:18:39.180 You know, you are such a smartass,
00:18:42.040 with a vacuous mentality.
00:18:43.760 What are you saying?
00:18:45.940 That you're not weaponizing this debate
00:18:48.980 by putting men into women's prisons,
00:18:52.660 men into women's change rooms?
00:18:54.540 You're the one weaponizing this debate.
00:18:57.740 Pierre Polyev is saying,
00:18:59.000 let's get back to common sense.
00:19:01.440 Let's get back to something everybody understands.
00:19:03.340 It has to be stopping a jackass on gender issues.
00:19:05.600 It's just stupid.
00:19:06.360 No, no, what you're saying,
00:19:09.480 what you're saying is stupid.
00:19:11.740 It doesn't get any more stupid.
00:19:15.880 So Mark Miller continued saying stupid things.
00:19:19.320 Here he is with CTV's Vassie Kapolos.
00:19:22.120 And he's talking about how prorogation
00:19:25.080 is perfectly justified,
00:19:26.280 even though they can't pass any bills.
00:19:30.820 Including the money that they've set aside
00:19:32.880 to fight border insecurity.
00:19:36.760 And we'll get to those numbers in a second again.
00:19:40.040 But listen to how he just doesn't...
00:19:44.120 I mean, he looks like he's about to be shot
00:19:46.080 in this interview, by the way.
00:19:47.100 This is...
00:19:47.640 I find this fascinating.
00:19:48.580 Mark Miller is usually a cocky SOB
00:19:51.060 who is always looking like
00:19:53.140 he's just dismissive of everybody.
00:19:55.140 It sounds like half of the people
00:19:56.220 in the Liberal Caucus, actually.
00:19:58.000 But he's always looking like,
00:20:00.520 don't even bother asking me
00:20:02.380 because, you know,
00:20:02.940 you're just so insignificant.
00:20:05.200 I'm a minister.
00:20:06.320 I look after things.
00:20:07.600 I'm the boss.
00:20:09.280 But he looks like he's headed
00:20:11.340 for a firing squad here.
00:20:13.800 I guess putting the Tories aside
00:20:15.580 for a second, though,
00:20:16.360 if these tariffs,
00:20:17.160 as the president said last night,
00:20:19.360 are levied on February the 1st
00:20:21.600 and Parliament is not sitting.
00:20:23.660 I look through your initial announcement
00:20:25.140 in December.
00:20:25.860 You lay out a couple of different cases
00:20:27.920 where there are new legislative requirements.
00:20:30.180 It's a billion dollars of new money.
00:20:31.740 I would imagine that
00:20:32.660 that would need to be voted on.
00:20:34.480 Again, putting aside
00:20:35.460 the Tories' criticism
00:20:36.880 and just speaking to Canadians
00:20:38.340 who would expect you to move forward
00:20:40.120 as fast as possible
00:20:41.060 on something that could exempt us
00:20:43.000 from the application of these tariffs,
00:20:44.920 does it actually make sense?
00:20:45.980 Is it actually strengthening a democracy
00:20:47.360 not to have Parliament in session?
00:20:51.380 Well, there's an ability
00:20:52.340 of the Government of Canada
00:20:53.300 with a large balance sheet
00:20:54.680 to cash manage these things.
00:20:56.800 Actually, one of the considerations
00:20:57.780 in proroguing
00:20:58.620 was the fact that
00:20:59.800 they have another financial year
00:21:00.700 coming up on April 1st.
00:21:01.820 So the period of prorogation
00:21:04.240 is a reasonable time.
00:21:05.760 The next six weeks
00:21:06.560 and any eventuality
00:21:08.420 we can certainly cash manage for.
00:21:09.920 but parliamentarians
00:21:11.380 as they should
00:21:12.000 as is demanded
00:21:13.620 by our Constitution
00:21:14.360 will have the opportunity
00:21:15.280 to vote on financial matters
00:21:17.060 at the end of March
00:21:18.020 and they can vote for security.
00:21:20.620 They can vote for...
00:21:21.920 No, they can't cash manage, Mark.
00:21:26.340 You are not telling the truth.
00:21:29.160 This requires new money
00:21:31.860 which you don't have right now.
00:21:34.980 This is why
00:21:35.980 prorogation has to end
00:21:38.240 at the very minimum
00:21:39.180 at the end of March.
00:21:40.540 So you can...
00:21:41.620 So parliament can vote
00:21:42.700 on some money bills.
00:21:44.820 But this guy is just incredible.
00:21:46.860 And you can tell.
00:21:48.180 You can tell by his demeanor
00:21:50.300 that he knows
00:21:51.720 he's not telling you the truth.
00:21:53.880 Border money
00:21:55.240 or they can vote against it
00:21:56.240 and we can go into an election
00:21:57.180 but that'll be the choice
00:21:57.960 of parliamentarians
00:21:58.600 and a minority
00:21:59.340 that is what we are subject to.
00:22:00.760 Yeah, and of course
00:22:06.160 she does ask him
00:22:07.520 the next question.
00:22:08.440 It's painful.
00:22:09.600 She says, you know,
00:22:10.520 should we accept
00:22:11.540 transgender people as refugees?
00:22:16.100 Mark freezes up
00:22:17.260 because he knows
00:22:18.080 he can't really answer
00:22:19.200 that question.
00:22:20.460 So he doesn't answer the question.
00:22:22.640 He doesn't.
00:22:23.360 But what's Mark talking about
00:22:24.900 a billion dollars here?
00:22:26.340 I showed you this yesterday.
00:22:27.680 I'm going to show it to you again.
00:22:29.020 Here is the border security
00:22:31.520 from the fall economic summit
00:22:34.120 under safety, security
00:22:36.020 and fair governance.
00:22:37.400 Look at all these categories.
00:22:39.800 Securing our borders.
00:22:40.880 There is the 1.3 billion dollars
00:22:42.740 that the liberal government
00:22:43.760 likes to tout
00:22:44.480 as their answer
00:22:46.020 to Donald Trump's demand
00:22:47.540 that we tighten up
00:22:49.000 border security.
00:22:50.760 There it is.
00:22:51.620 1.302 billion dollars.
00:22:55.620 After six years,
00:22:57.920 in the current fiscal year,
00:23:00.740 81 million dollars.
00:23:03.040 That's not enough.
00:23:04.940 In fact,
00:23:05.840 it won't be enough
00:23:06.740 until well into
00:23:08.180 the fourth or fifth year of this.
00:23:09.660 That's when they really
00:23:10.300 start spending the money.
00:23:11.980 Not much in the next
00:23:13.060 fiscal year either.
00:23:14.840 And look at the other
00:23:15.860 categories here
00:23:16.720 that's somehow
00:23:17.760 making safer,
00:23:19.200 healthier communities.
00:23:20.300 Taking the gun grab.
00:23:22.500 That's getting
00:23:23.240 541 million next year.
00:23:27.920 versus 144 million
00:23:31.340 for border security.
00:23:32.740 The Trudeau government
00:23:33.680 spending more
00:23:34.480 on taking guns
00:23:35.960 away
00:23:36.900 from Canadian citizens
00:23:38.740 than it is
00:23:42.100 on border security.
00:23:43.160 So that's how serious
00:23:44.100 they are
00:23:44.580 about border security.
00:23:46.040 They're spending
00:23:47.000 money on protecting
00:23:48.380 women's reproductive health.
00:23:49.800 That means
00:23:50.340 more abortion clinics.
00:23:52.420 Supporting women's organizations.
00:23:54.100 Why do they need
00:23:54.640 to support women's organizations?
00:23:56.640 Women just do fine
00:23:57.940 supporting their organizations.
00:24:00.060 Establishing Canada's
00:24:01.300 black justice strategy.
00:24:02.400 What on earth is that?
00:24:04.860 What is a black justice strategy?
00:24:06.460 A special
00:24:07.020 justice strategy
00:24:08.400 for people of color?
00:24:11.060 That is insane.
00:24:12.060 There should be
00:24:12.840 one
00:24:13.660 justice
00:24:14.920 system.
00:24:16.340 Just
00:24:16.520 one justice
00:24:17.320 strategy.
00:24:18.340 Obviously,
00:24:19.080 the liberals are admitting
00:24:19.980 we have more than
00:24:20.900 two-tier justice
00:24:21.700 in this country.
00:24:23.980 Strengthening the black
00:24:24.980 entrepreneurship program.
00:24:27.260 We don't need
00:24:27.920 entrepreneurship programs
00:24:29.160 for people of
00:24:29.840 varying skin color.
00:24:34.480 And supporting
00:24:35.020 black community
00:24:35.580 organizations.
00:24:36.280 This is all about
00:24:37.300 security in this country
00:24:38.620 according to the
00:24:39.220 liberal government.
00:24:40.800 I showed that
00:24:41.540 slide to you yesterday
00:24:42.560 but I can't show it
00:24:43.820 to you enough
00:24:44.220 because it's
00:24:45.360 incredible.
00:24:47.260 Okay.
00:24:49.980 All right.
00:24:50.740 We've got some fun
00:24:51.680 stuff to show you here.
00:24:53.120 I've been
00:24:53.840 holding on this.
00:24:55.600 Freeland,
00:24:56.180 of course,
00:24:56.820 you know,
00:24:58.220 and here's the reason
00:25:00.020 the liberals
00:25:00.620 are supposedly
00:25:01.920 only seven points
00:25:03.100 behind the conservatives
00:25:04.020 now.
00:25:04.400 Because of people
00:25:05.280 like Mark Carney
00:25:06.080 and Christia Freeland.
00:25:07.740 Christia Freeland
00:25:08.340 can barely
00:25:09.600 hold it together.
00:25:10.880 And Freeland now
00:25:12.100 is saying
00:25:13.040 we need the
00:25:14.360 grassroots
00:25:14.840 in the liberal party
00:25:15.920 suddenly.
00:25:16.820 I am so grateful
00:25:18.340 to the colleagues
00:25:19.780 who have been
00:25:21.320 supporting me.
00:25:22.400 I want to highlight
00:25:23.400 I'm especially
00:25:25.280 grateful to the
00:25:26.660 people who bring
00:25:27.700 the caucus together,
00:25:29.200 do the hard work
00:25:30.340 in our caucus,
00:25:31.380 the workhorses
00:25:32.180 of our caucus.
00:25:33.300 I'm really glad
00:25:34.160 to have the support
00:25:35.040 of the current
00:25:35.740 Ontario caucus chair,
00:25:37.420 Michael Coteau,
00:25:38.640 the former Ontario
00:25:39.560 caucus chair,
00:25:40.500 Jamie Maloney,
00:25:41.700 the Quebec caucus
00:25:42.420 chair,
00:25:42.920 Stéphane Luzon,
00:25:44.080 the chair of
00:25:44.880 Women's caucus,
00:25:46.100 Leah Taylor-Roy.
00:25:47.120 And for me,
00:25:48.860 a huge emphasis
00:25:50.280 is going to be
00:25:52.140 reviving the party.
00:25:55.040 Reviving the
00:25:56.080 grassroots of the
00:25:56.900 party,
00:25:57.700 reviving a real
00:25:58.660 democratization
00:25:59.500 process in the
00:26:00.920 party.
00:26:01.700 We can never
00:26:02.820 again be in a
00:26:03.840 position where
00:26:05.000 the leader is the
00:26:05.860 only person who
00:26:06.960 decides who the
00:26:08.680 leader is.
00:26:09.460 And I think
00:26:10.520 liberal party
00:26:12.020 grassroots members
00:26:13.400 and caucus
00:26:14.440 need to have
00:26:16.140 the greater say
00:26:17.100 in what we do
00:26:18.120 and how we do it.
00:26:20.180 Oh, isn't that
00:26:21.240 touching?
00:26:21.960 Now, Christy Freeland
00:26:22.700 is now all for
00:26:23.700 the grassroots.
00:26:26.280 Hasn't been for
00:26:27.100 nine years now,
00:26:28.140 or ten years,
00:26:29.000 but now she is.
00:26:30.200 Now, here is
00:26:30.880 a nice funny story,
00:26:33.080 not quite ending
00:26:34.020 with this,
00:26:34.520 but this is funny.
00:26:36.220 Justin Trudeau
00:26:37.240 has started
00:26:38.840 his retaliatory
00:26:40.600 tariff war.
00:26:41.980 Well, not quite,
00:26:43.120 but he's targeting
00:26:44.120 Heinz ketchup.
00:26:45.980 Heinz ketchup,
00:26:46.800 he says,
00:26:47.080 it's American.
00:26:48.920 And they're going
00:26:50.260 to fix
00:26:50.820 Heinz ketchup.
00:26:52.480 Funny thing is,
00:26:54.360 there's a
00:26:54.680 Heinz ketchup
00:26:55.300 plant in his
00:26:56.220 very writing
00:26:57.300 using locally
00:26:58.440 grown tomatoes.
00:27:00.020 Justin Trudeau
00:27:00.640 doesn't even
00:27:01.500 know that.
00:27:02.820 This is just,
00:27:04.080 this is wonderful.
00:27:04.820 Now, watch this.
00:27:05.660 To respond
00:27:06.800 with equivalent
00:27:07.940 tariffs,
00:27:08.480 Canada needs
00:27:09.560 to respond
00:27:10.180 with equivalent
00:27:11.200 tariffs on imports
00:27:13.680 from the United States.
00:27:15.540 Those would be
00:27:16.580 paid by Canadian
00:27:17.700 consumers.
00:27:19.080 That's why
00:27:19.660 we will look,
00:27:21.380 as we have
00:27:22.080 in the past,
00:27:23.000 at things
00:27:23.620 that have
00:27:24.120 replacements.
00:27:25.840 The example
00:27:26.320 from last time
00:27:27.240 was Heinz's ketchup
00:27:29.020 being replaced
00:27:29.740 by French's ketchup.
00:27:32.660 So,
00:27:33.300 that's the
00:27:35.360 example
00:27:36.080 from last
00:27:37.000 time.
00:27:44.020 And the
00:27:44.780 problem is,
00:27:45.460 of course,
00:27:46.960 Heinz ketchup
00:27:47.500 has come back
00:27:48.180 and said,
00:27:49.180 hold it,
00:27:50.040 Justin.
00:27:52.220 You've got
00:27:53.060 a Heinz ketchup
00:27:54.080 plant in your
00:27:55.420 backyard
00:27:56.120 producing
00:27:57.400 ketchup.
00:27:58.580 Here's
00:28:00.620 their news
00:28:00.960 release.
00:28:02.120 Craft Heinz
00:28:02.900 Canada is
00:28:03.320 deeply
00:28:03.620 disappointed
00:28:04.380 that Prime
00:28:04.900 Minister Trudeau
00:28:05.620 has made
00:28:06.340 misleading
00:28:06.860 statements
00:28:07.420 that Heinz
00:28:07.900 ketchup
00:28:08.200 is not
00:28:08.660 made in
00:28:09.060 Canada
00:28:09.440 and that
00:28:10.980 it may be
00:28:11.360 a potential
00:28:11.780 target for
00:28:12.400 countervailing
00:28:13.320 tariffs.
00:28:14.820 More than
00:28:15.180 100,000
00:28:16.000 hard-working
00:28:16.540 Canadians
00:28:17.000 at our
00:28:17.320 Mount Royal
00:28:18.080 Quebec
00:28:18.440 facility,
00:28:20.460 together with
00:28:20.940 our many
00:28:21.280 suppliers in
00:28:21.960 the province,
00:28:22.580 produce Heinz
00:28:23.280 ketchup for
00:28:24.240 Canadians using
00:28:25.120 tomatoes grown in
00:28:26.460 Leamington,
00:28:27.160 Ontario.
00:28:28.440 As one of the
00:28:29.000 largest manufacturers
00:28:30.020 of food in the
00:28:30.720 country,
00:28:31.580 Craft Heinz is
00:28:32.420 also the largest
00:28:33.140 purchaser of
00:28:34.460 tomatoes in
00:28:35.820 Ontario.
00:28:38.720 You know,
00:28:39.560 Heinz might have
00:28:40.180 a libel suit
00:28:40.880 here against
00:28:41.740 Justin Trudeau
00:28:42.680 for falsely
00:28:43.640 accusing them
00:28:44.380 of being
00:28:45.460 a U.S.
00:28:47.840 company that
00:28:48.460 doesn't contribute
00:28:49.240 to Canadian
00:28:50.000 jobs, that
00:28:51.000 doesn't have
00:28:51.520 Canadian
00:28:52.440 tariffs in
00:28:53.480 this country.
00:28:54.680 On imports
00:28:55.200 from the
00:28:55.540 United States,
00:28:56.460 those would
00:28:57.920 be paid by
00:28:58.620 Canadian
00:28:59.240 consumers.
00:29:00.600 That's why
00:29:01.200 we will
00:29:02.100 look, as
00:29:03.200 we have in
00:29:03.720 the past,
00:29:04.520 at things
00:29:05.140 that have
00:29:05.620 replacements.
00:29:07.320 The example
00:29:07.840 from last
00:29:08.420 time was
00:29:09.080 Heinz's
00:29:10.260 ketchup being
00:29:10.860 replaced by
00:29:11.520 French's
00:29:11.980 ketchup.
00:29:14.540 So,
00:29:15.420 there's the
00:29:15.980 ketchup wars.
00:29:16.760 He's already
00:29:17.120 going, he's
00:29:17.800 going full
00:29:18.320 blast.
00:29:22.140 And here,
00:29:23.440 Justin Trudeau.
00:29:26.460 Let's go
00:29:27.420 back to
00:29:27.860 there.
00:29:32.920 You can't
00:29:41.820 make this
00:29:42.880 level of
00:29:43.560 stupidity up,
00:29:44.460 folks.
00:29:46.040 Kirk
00:29:46.300 Lubomoff.
00:29:47.920 Justin Trudeau
00:29:48.560 just got
00:29:49.080 fact-checked
00:29:49.680 by Heinz
00:29:50.100 ketchup,
00:29:50.600 which he
00:29:50.940 mused to
00:29:52.760 tariff as
00:29:53.440 an example,
00:29:54.960 that their
00:29:56.000 ketchup is
00:29:57.020 in fact made
00:29:57.660 in Canada by
00:29:58.400 Canadians.
00:29:59.520 But it gets
00:30:00.320 worse.
00:30:01.360 Not only
00:30:01.780 Heinz's
00:30:02.380 ketchup is
00:30:02.860 made in
00:30:03.200 Canada, but
00:30:03.720 it's literally
00:30:04.360 made 10
00:30:04.920 minutes and
00:30:05.900 two turns
00:30:06.580 away from
00:30:07.260 Justin Trudeau's
00:30:08.120 constituency
00:30:08.600 office.
00:30:10.900 Right?
00:30:12.120 10 minutes
00:30:12.960 away, this
00:30:13.860 country is
00:30:14.380 run by
00:30:14.720 idiots.
00:30:15.060 And here's
00:30:16.400 a map.
00:30:25.100 There it
00:30:25.660 is.
00:30:26.660 And there's
00:30:26.940 the Heinz
00:30:27.340 ketchup
00:30:28.840 statement.
00:30:31.140 And this
00:30:33.060 could be
00:30:33.460 Heinz's way
00:30:34.020 of retaliating.
00:30:35.260 Who knows?
00:30:37.780 Could be an
00:30:38.300 F Trudeau
00:30:38.920 app out
00:30:39.640 there coming
00:30:40.200 from Heinz
00:30:40.780 because he
00:30:41.760 falsely accused
00:30:42.480 them of not
00:30:42.980 hiring Canadians
00:30:43.960 to make
00:30:44.820 ketchup that
00:30:45.880 is made
00:30:46.180 in Canada.
00:30:48.360 And it's
00:30:49.200 literally the
00:30:50.040 plant, the
00:30:51.140 factory is
00:30:51.900 10 minutes
00:30:52.640 away from
00:30:53.740 his constituency
00:30:54.520 office.
00:30:55.940 It's a
00:30:56.240 classic moment
00:30:57.000 in Canadian
00:30:57.740 insanity.
00:30:59.260 That is
00:30:59.760 beautiful.
00:31:01.220 I want to
00:31:01.840 end with
00:31:02.260 this.
00:31:02.560 This is
00:31:02.860 beautiful too.
00:31:04.280 This is
00:31:04.700 another one
00:31:05.500 of Donald
00:31:05.840 Trump's
00:31:06.180 executive
00:31:06.540 orders.
00:31:07.880 Next we
00:31:13.720 have a
00:31:14.880 set of
00:31:15.340 pardons
00:31:15.860 for peaceful
00:31:16.640 pro-life
00:31:17.200 protesters
00:31:17.760 who were
00:31:18.800 prosecuted
00:31:19.420 by the
00:31:19.800 Biden
00:31:20.040 administration
00:31:20.620 for exercising
00:31:21.520 their First
00:31:22.080 Amendment
00:31:22.340 rights.
00:31:23.720 Do you know
00:31:24.060 how many?
00:31:24.840 I believe
00:31:25.520 it's 23,
00:31:26.400 sir.
00:31:27.460 23 people
00:31:28.540 were prosecuted.
00:31:32.100 They should not
00:31:33.040 have been
00:31:33.340 prosecuted.
00:31:34.680 Many of them
00:31:35.700 are elderly
00:31:38.260 people.
00:31:39.920 They should not
00:31:40.580 have been
00:31:40.900 prosecuted.
00:31:42.460 This is a
00:31:43.220 great honor
00:31:43.760 to sign
00:31:44.300 this.
00:32:02.460 Yeah,
00:32:03.060 that's
00:32:03.360 marvelous.
00:32:04.200 That is
00:32:04.640 marvelous.
00:32:05.280 Now,
00:32:05.520 to recap
00:32:05.940 here,
00:32:07.240 a lot of
00:32:07.880 folks have
00:32:08.220 been asking
00:32:08.660 about,
00:32:09.140 well,
00:32:09.340 some folks
00:32:09.760 have been
00:32:09.960 asking.
00:32:11.460 What's the
00:32:12.100 problem with
00:32:12.600 the border?
00:32:13.040 Is it
00:32:13.280 north or
00:32:13.920 is it
00:32:14.160 south?
00:32:14.440 It's
00:32:14.620 both.
00:32:15.980 The border
00:32:16.640 is porous.
00:32:17.700 It's not
00:32:18.200 well-regulated.
00:32:19.200 It's not
00:32:19.600 well-guarded.
00:32:20.640 So,
00:32:20.860 illegals are
00:32:21.600 coming up
00:32:22.200 from the
00:32:22.680 south and
00:32:23.160 lots more
00:32:23.920 are coming
00:32:24.440 this week
00:32:25.240 and next
00:32:25.820 and the
00:32:26.220 coming
00:32:26.480 months.
00:32:28.100 Illegals
00:32:28.660 are entering
00:32:29.700 into the
00:32:30.960 states from
00:32:31.920 the north.
00:32:33.560 And that's
00:32:34.320 what Donald
00:32:34.680 Trump is
00:32:35.120 most concerned
00:32:35.900 about.
00:32:36.200 and that
00:32:38.740 problem
00:32:39.220 persists.
00:32:40.100 Yes,
00:32:40.580 as Maggie
00:32:41.800 May says,
00:32:42.260 we have a
00:32:42.540 problem now
00:32:43.100 and have
00:32:43.780 for nine
00:32:44.200 years at
00:32:44.540 Roxham
00:32:44.860 Road.
00:32:45.440 People
00:32:45.740 just walking
00:32:46.440 across the
00:32:47.400 border.
00:32:48.740 And on the
00:32:49.040 other hand,
00:32:49.540 we've got
00:32:49.840 people walking
00:32:50.960 into the
00:32:51.640 United States.
00:32:52.700 Now,
00:32:53.360 Justin Trudeau
00:32:53.940 says,
00:32:54.280 hey,
00:32:54.880 they're not
00:32:55.240 all carrying
00:32:56.600 cocaine or
00:32:57.200 fentanyl.
00:32:57.880 No.
00:32:59.400 They're not.
00:33:00.160 It's only
00:33:00.520 1%.
00:33:01.280 Well,
00:33:01.720 it's actually
00:33:02.040 a little
00:33:02.260 higher,
00:33:02.680 but it's
00:33:03.780 the number
00:33:04.160 of terrorists
00:33:04.820 coming from
00:33:05.640 the north
00:33:06.120 to the south.
00:33:06.880 That is what
00:33:07.420 drives Donald
00:33:08.520 Trump crazy.
00:33:09.780 So it's a
00:33:10.380 north-south
00:33:10.960 problem for
00:33:11.840 Canada.
00:33:13.260 We don't
00:33:14.740 have security
00:33:15.320 for people
00:33:15.840 entering from
00:33:16.900 the U.S.
00:33:18.340 We don't
00:33:19.080 have security
00:33:19.600 for people
00:33:20.060 leaving Canada
00:33:21.480 and entering
00:33:23.520 the U.S.
00:33:24.580 illegally.
00:33:26.280 So that
00:33:27.240 is the issue
00:33:27.860 here.
00:33:28.120 And this
00:33:30.520 is not
00:33:31.020 going to
00:33:31.480 be solved
00:33:32.060 unless this
00:33:33.840 government
00:33:34.160 gets serious.
00:33:35.220 It's got a
00:33:35.600 $1.3
00:33:36.240 billion plan
00:33:37.260 that's six
00:33:37.840 years in
00:33:38.280 the making.
00:33:39.200 Not good
00:33:39.920 enough.
00:33:40.860 That's what
00:33:41.420 we have to
00:33:41.840 keep driving
00:33:42.400 home.
00:33:43.120 And this
00:33:43.460 is a
00:33:44.120 difficult
00:33:44.540 situation
00:33:45.320 for Pierre
00:33:45.780 Paglia.
00:33:47.480 He's got
00:33:48.200 to say
00:33:51.060 that,
00:33:51.380 look,
00:33:52.500 we are
00:33:53.460 Canada
00:33:53.800 first.
00:33:54.440 I need
00:33:55.200 to negotiate
00:33:55.760 with Donald
00:33:56.340 Trump.
00:33:57.000 Right now,
00:33:57.620 it's only
00:33:57.960 Daniel Smith
00:33:58.680 who's really
00:33:59.160 negotiating
00:33:59.740 for Canada.
00:34:01.600 She's not
00:34:01.980 just negotiating
00:34:02.600 for Alberta,
00:34:03.220 she's negotiating
00:34:03.900 for Canada.
00:34:04.820 Nobody on
00:34:05.520 the Trudeau
00:34:05.940 team is
00:34:06.360 even talking
00:34:06.960 to the
00:34:08.080 Trump team.
00:34:09.240 It's a
00:34:10.020 disaster.
00:34:12.200 And what
00:34:12.800 we need
00:34:13.340 is,
00:34:14.040 Paglia
00:34:14.480 has to
00:34:15.040 become
00:34:15.900 extremely
00:34:16.560 visible
00:34:17.140 in this
00:34:18.200 process
00:34:18.660 right now.
00:34:19.540 He needs
00:34:20.000 to lead
00:34:20.580 the process,
00:34:21.800 not to be
00:34:22.480 co-opted
00:34:23.140 by people
00:34:23.980 like Doug
00:34:24.480 Ford,
00:34:25.740 who is
00:34:26.120 in Trudeau's
00:34:26.620 pocket,
00:34:26.940 or Trudeau
00:34:28.080 himself,
00:34:28.800 or whomever
00:34:29.620 might replace
00:34:30.500 Justin Trudeau
00:34:31.220 in the
00:34:31.400 near future.
00:34:32.940 Pierre
00:34:33.100 Paglia cannot
00:34:33.780 be co-opted
00:34:34.740 by the
00:34:35.160 liberals.
00:34:35.620 He needs
00:34:35.920 to lead.
00:34:36.860 He needs
00:34:37.300 to be
00:34:37.820 the prime
00:34:38.560 minister
00:34:38.860 in waiting,
00:34:39.800 and we
00:34:40.360 need
00:34:40.640 elections
00:34:41.240 fast so
00:34:42.880 we can
00:34:43.200 get through
00:34:43.900 this with
00:34:44.560 a legitimate
00:34:45.140 leader.
00:34:47.000 Justin
00:34:47.260 Trudeau is
00:34:47.660 not that
00:34:48.020 man.
00:34:48.420 Mark
00:34:48.640 Carney's
00:34:49.040 not that
00:34:49.440 man.
00:34:50.160 Chrystia
00:34:50.500 Freeland's
00:34:50.940 not that
00:34:51.340 woman.
00:34:51.600 We need
00:34:52.440 new
00:34:53.500 elections
00:34:54.200 in this
00:34:54.680 country.
00:34:57.060 That's
00:34:57.680 going to
00:34:57.840 be it
00:34:58.080 for today,
00:34:58.540 folks.
00:34:59.680 A little
00:35:00.000 reminder at
00:35:01.200 the end.
00:35:01.580 of
00:35:15.100 No.
00:35:17.040 yeah and a little reminder if you're downtown autoway today
00:35:44.740 join up with the freedom convoy folks who are commemorating the third anniversary of the
00:35:51.880 beginning of the freedom convoy from 2022 those are heady days thanks for watching today folks
00:35:58.080 i'll be back again tomorrow with all the news you need to know and until then let's resolve to resist
