Stand on Guard with David Krayden - Poilievre's Plan to Lock Up Fentanyl Kingpins EXPLAINED

00:00:00.000 What I am proposing today is not only allowed under the Charter, it is required by the Charter.

00:00:11.740 Section 7 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees life, liberty, and security of the person.

00:00:18.420 50,000 people had their Section 7 right to life violated by the open borders, soft on crime, legal drugs policy of the Liberals.

00:00:32.720 I will protect the Charter rights of Canadians and their right to life, liberty, and the security of the person by locking up the mass murderers that bring these drugs in.

00:00:45.800 This penalty that I propose is proportionate to the crime.

00:00:54.600 If you kill dozens of people, you should go away for life.

00:00:59.740 And that is what we will do. 1.00

00:01:01.500 I will lock up these fentanyl murderers and we will throw away the key.

00:01:06.100 And I will do it not just to save lives, but to uphold the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

00:01:12.480 Interesting assessment.

00:01:14.620 Very interesting analysis.

00:01:18.280 I can't think of another politician who's actually suggested that you can do that.

00:01:25.460 That you're fulfilling the Charter of Rights.

00:01:26.940 Because CBC did a hit piece, and we'll come back in a minute to discuss that.

00:01:31.060 Not only that, but the dribble that's coming out of Mark Carney's mouth, what it really means.

00:01:35.940 But I think Paul Yev was courageous yesterday with this.

00:01:38.400 We need a plug-in to change.

00:01:55.600 So we also need a resolve to resist.

00:01:58.300 Okay, yes.

00:02:07.260 Please like this station if we can beat those YouTube algorithms.

00:02:12.760 Subscribe if you haven't, please.

00:02:15.240 And re-subscribe if you need to do that, too.

00:02:18.640 Thanks for your support.

00:02:20.980 Welcome back to another episode of Stand on Guard.

00:02:24.500 I'm your host, David Crayton.

00:02:27.320 Hope you had a chance to see my little segment on Redacted yesterday, too.

00:02:31.040 Half the people who watch this show, maybe all of them, also watch Redacted.

00:02:36.180 And it's always a pleasure to share some Canadian news with my friends, Clayton and Natalie.

00:02:43.400 And what can we say about Pierre Paul Yev yesterday?

00:02:47.580 I think this is very courageous.

00:02:53.180 Let's listen to a bit more of this.

00:02:55.100 Because it's interesting.

00:02:56.100 CBC's already done a hit piece with a criminologist suggesting that it's preposterous.

00:03:03.300 His words, preposterous, to think you can put away drug kingpins for life.

00:03:11.180 Even though, as Pierre Paul Yev points out, these are the people that are killing tens of thousands of Canadians.

00:03:18.900 We want to stop drugs to save our people and put Canada first.

00:03:23.060 It starts with locking up mass traffickers and manufacturers of this poison with penalties that fix the crime.

00:03:29.180 But what is that crime?

00:03:30.740 Let's call fentanyl trafficking what it is.

00:03:34.260 Mass murder.

00:03:35.800 Selling 40 milligrams of this poison is enough to kill 20 people. 0.82

00:03:40.340 It's like spraying bullets into a crowd.

00:03:42.480 You might not know who you're killing, but it's certain someone will die.

00:03:46.860 Notice how he begins this dissertation with Canada first.

00:03:51.880 Separating himself from the globalist candidate out there by the name of Mark Carney.

00:03:57.180 Mark Carney is a globalist.

00:03:58.700 He's a complete globalist.

00:04:02.760 And I like the fact that Paul Yev is getting back to the Canada first stride.

00:04:08.560 That's why I'm denouncing today, as part of my Canada first plan, that common sense conservatives will bring mandatory prison sentences.

00:04:16.540 There will be life sentences for anyone caught trafficking, producing, or exporting over 40 milligrams of fentanyl.

00:04:26.320 40 milligrams is enough to kill 20 people.

00:04:29.720 Anyone who is involved in trafficking that amount of fentanyl will get a life sentence.

00:04:36.280 We will lock them up and we will throw away the key.

00:04:41.400 And 15 years for traffickers caught with between 20 milligrams and 40 milligrams will be the new mandatory sentence.

00:04:49.560 The people we will lock away are not non-violent addicts.

00:04:53.640 They are the victims.

00:04:54.680 We will come to the rescue of victims and addicts.

00:04:58.620 We will provide life-saving treatment.

00:05:00.520 All right, so what makes this different from the regular war on drug strategy is that it targets the drug dealers, the sellers, the kingpins, not the users or the addicts in many cases.

00:05:21.000 If we want to describe things as they really are.

00:05:26.540 It does no good to throw all of the addicts in jail.

00:05:32.060 And that's exactly what the United States has done in the past with its war on drugs.

00:05:36.980 It's gathered up all of the addicts, thrown them in jail.

00:05:40.480 And under the three strikes you're out policy, some of them never got out of jail.

00:05:44.880 For drug use, for buying drugs, for using drugs. 0.99

00:05:47.480 It's these scumbags who are trafficking a lethal substance to millions of people and making billions of dollars in profit off of that misery. 0.99

00:06:04.980 These are the people that belong in jail. 0.99

00:06:06.760 And I think this is what makes Polly's strategy refreshingly different. 0.99

00:06:11.780 Because it's the people producing this toxic substance that need to be punished.

00:06:21.320 The message to anyone struggling with addiction today is have hope.

00:06:26.900 Hang on.

00:06:28.040 Help is on the way.

00:06:30.660 My government will provide residential treatment.

00:06:34.200 They will take people off the streets, provide them with detox, recovery, counselling, group therapy, sweat lodges for First Nations victims, and help them get into housing, a job, and back to their families. 0.97

00:06:48.900 We will bring our loved ones home drug-free.

00:06:52.000 Nor are we talking about the small-time dealer on a street corner, though he too will be punished.

00:06:58.260 Rather, my law will go after the fentanyl kingpins who kill thousands of people each year. 0.87

00:07:05.900 We will treat them like the mass murderers they are.

00:07:09.180 We will bring home the country we knew and love.

00:07:12.100 After nine years of the Kearney Trudeau liberals, everything is broken.

00:07:16.500 Housing costs have doubled.

00:07:18.220 Food bank use has doubled.

00:07:21.000 Gun crime has doubled.

00:07:23.140 The national debt has doubled.

00:07:24.740 All of this because Justin Trudeau was implementing the radical policies of carbon tax Kearney.

00:07:33.420 These policies have destroyed our working class.

00:07:37.380 And now he threatens an even bigger carbon tax after a brief election pause.

00:07:43.360 A tax that will drive hundreds of billions of dollars out of our country and continue the rising cost of living that the Kearney liberals have imposed over the last nine years. 0.59

00:07:58.300 The good news is, life was not like this before the Kearney Trudeau liberals, and it won't be like this after they're gone.

00:08:05.980 We're going to bring home the country we knew and loved.

00:08:08.220 We're going to axe the tax, build the homes, fix the budget, and stop the crime.

00:08:13.880 Most of all, we are going to put our country first.

00:08:16.500 This will be a country where hard work pays off.

00:08:19.340 Where anyone, from anywhere, can do anything.

00:08:22.740 That was the Canadian promise.

00:08:24.720 And my purpose is to bring it home.

00:08:26.860 Let's make this a country where anybody who works hard gets a powerful paycheck and pension that buys affordable food, gas, and homes in safe neighborhoods wrapped around the protective arms of strong borders.

00:08:44.760 So, first of all, obviously, conservatives have been victims of foreign interference.

00:08:49.300 It's clear that.

00:08:50.700 Now, he's answering a question here.

00:08:52.540 I want to comment on what he said here.

00:08:54.120 Do you notice how he enveloped this whole speech with a border security message?

00:09:01.960 It starts off with Canada first. 0.63

00:09:04.920 This is a drug strategy that puts Canada first because it's about saving Canadian lives.

00:09:10.740 It's not just about appeasing Donald Trump to keep the fentanyl out of the United States.

00:09:15.460 It's about keeping the fentanyl out of Canada and to deal with the drug scourge.

00:09:21.180 In a realistic way, giving people the treatment they need to get off of drugs so there's no market for drugs.

00:09:30.740 This is a better strategy than just simply locking people up for drug use.

00:09:36.600 And anyone who's ever been involved in recovery of any kind knows that people need help to get out of this cycle of addiction and abuse.

00:09:47.220 And this is what he's offering.

00:09:50.900 Not so-called safe supply drugs so people will take more drugs.

00:09:57.060 Not pretending that there's something safe in injecting drugs at a supervised injection site.

00:10:05.320 Heroin is unsafe at any speed, at any level.

00:10:10.060 Heroin is toxic.

00:10:11.880 Fentanyl is toxic.

00:10:13.080 It's lethal.

00:10:14.340 It's deadly.

00:10:16.020 It kills people.

00:10:18.700 And that's where we have to draw the line.

00:10:21.660 And that's where we have to say this is a strategy that brings life where there's been death.

00:10:28.660 So I applaud this.

00:10:29.880 I was critical of Paliyev last weekend because he was not talking about the border.

00:10:35.920 He was only talking about carbon tax currency.

00:10:38.300 Who we'll get to in a minute, by the way.

00:10:40.000 But he has really taken this initiative by focusing on the fentanyl crisis.

00:10:50.940 If I can say that again.

00:10:51.980 I have to be careful using that word.

00:10:54.720 He has risen to the occasion.

00:10:58.460 And he now is owning the border strategy.

00:11:02.200 Because as we discussed yesterday, it's not clear whether Trudeau is going to follow through on his promises to secure the border.

00:11:12.980 Where are the 10,000 frontline personnel?

00:11:16.440 Where are they coming from?

00:11:17.360 Who are they?

00:11:18.320 No answers to those questions.

00:11:21.200 There's some kind of economic summit going on with the U.S. tomorrow.

00:11:28.200 But God only knows what that's supposed to achieve.

00:11:32.500 What Paliyev is saying here is extremely important.

00:11:35.840 Listen to a bit more.

00:11:37.040 He responds to a question here, which I think is quite interesting.

00:11:39.980 Beijing wanted to keep Justin Trudeau in power.

00:11:44.360 I have no doubt that they'll want Mark Carney to stay in power.

00:11:49.120 Mark Carney has a background of shipping investment to China and favoring foreign economies over the Canadian economy.

00:11:59.700 We need a prime minister who will put Canada first.

00:12:02.620 On the question of ports, you're quite right.

00:12:07.700 Justin Trudeau and Mark Carney and the Liberals have destroyed our border security and our ports.

00:12:13.400 After nine years of the Carney-Trudeau Liberals, our ports are allowing 99% of shipping containers to enter our country with no inspection.

00:12:23.960 And that's where the drug ingredients, the guns, the stolen cars come into our country or leave to support massive crime networks.

00:12:34.260 I announced that I will phase out, I will eliminate 2,000 bureaucrats and replace them with 2,000 extra CBSA agents who will have the power to surveil our entire border.

00:12:48.060 They will also have the ability to use new high-tech scanners that can peer right through the metal walls of shipping containers to spot drugs, guns, and stolen cars.

00:13:01.000 We will also expand border security across the entire border with surveillance towers, drones, helicopters.

00:13:10.060 I've said the military should immediately go to the borders to block fentanyl traffickers and other lawbreakers.

00:13:17.060 The radical Trudeau-Carney experiment with open borders and post-national globalism has not only divided and weakened our country's sense of identity, it has endangered our people.

00:13:30.880 When I'm Prime Minister, that radical, borderless, globalist ideology pushed by the Trudeau-Carney Liberals will end and we will have a Prime Minister that seals the border, protects our people, and puts Canada first.

00:13:47.800 Excellent.

00:13:48.800 As I've been saying for the last couple of weeks, dear Polyev needs to own the border issue because he's been on this issue long before Trudeau even expressed any interest in it.

00:14:04.540 Trudeau is at best half-hearted in any commitment he has to secure the border.

00:14:10.740 Polyev needed to own this border issue.

00:14:15.240 He couldn't become part of Team Trudeau.

00:14:17.520 He could not allow himself to be co-opted by the Trudeau government.

00:14:22.780 He could not allow the CBC to tell him just step away from the political process.

00:14:29.940 Don't oppose Justin Trudeau.

00:14:31.880 Just be part of his government.

00:14:34.320 He's found a way to say, no, I'm leading on this issue and he needed to do that.

00:14:41.040 So I applaud him for doing that because there were some days there where he did not look like he knew where to go with this issue.

00:14:51.400 He's hit his stride again.

00:14:52.800 I'm glad to see that because we need real response to the border, not imagined or let's pretend we're going to do something.

00:15:05.200 Now, I want to look at Mark Carney here for a second.

00:15:08.020 You may remember a film, and we're going to talk about this more tomorrow or over the weekend.

00:15:13.200 It was the penultimate or the second to last film starring Peter Sellers, a great comedian.

00:15:25.060 And it was completely unlike the work Sellers had done in the previous decade where he was known the world over as Inspector Clouseau in the Pink Panther movies.

00:15:36.240 Broad, often slapstick comedy.

00:15:38.380 He did a movie called Being There in 1979.

00:15:43.580 It was about an individual who was really not very intelligent.

00:15:48.500 In fact, he was rather simple-minded.

00:15:51.260 Everything he had learned in life and everything he repeated had come from television, watching television.

00:16:00.440 And it was a fascinating study on the effects of television viewing on the human mind.

00:16:08.380 But because he was able to repeat things he'd heard in television, people thought he was very profound, perhaps a genius.

00:16:19.000 And he became an advisor to the United States president in the movie.

00:16:23.780 And at the end of the movie, he's a candidate to succeed that president, because he knows how to repeat lines that people interpret or think, wow, that's really profound.

00:16:39.520 Listening to Mark Carney talk, I said, the similarities are incredible.

00:16:45.660 This is a man who has absolutely vacuous thoughts.

00:16:51.640 And he's been lauded as an economic genius, even though his tenure at the Bank of England was disastrous.

00:17:00.320 And somehow this guy presents himself as some kind of political savior.

00:17:08.220 But if you listen to what he says, there's absolutely no substance there.

00:17:14.120 There's nothing there.

00:17:16.260 He's got absolutely nothing to say beyond platitudes.

00:17:21.640 And let's listen to what I'm talking about.

00:17:25.100 Yes, relationships can change.

00:17:28.840 In recent weeks, the U.S. has called into question our decades-long relationship of cooperation.

00:17:36.240 While I welcome the temporary suspension of U.S. tariffs and very much welcome the joint plan to address the scourge of fentanyl,

00:17:44.980 recent events have been a wake-up call for Canadians.

00:17:48.600 The world has changed, and we too must change to realize the full promise of our great country.

00:17:58.700 Since I launched my campaign a few weeks ago, I've heard from people across the country that they too want change.

00:18:08.340 Canadians want change with a plan that stands up for Canada and creates an opportunity for all Canadians.

00:18:14.560 Canadians want change with a new, positive leadership that ends division and builds together.

00:18:21.700 Now, I'm sure you can find people to stand behind you and nod their heads as you say things that are just completely inane.

00:18:33.740 Yeah, yeah, we need change.

00:18:37.040 Where did we hear that one before?

00:18:40.300 This is the Barack Obama playbook.

00:18:43.360 Change!

00:18:44.320 That was his motto for his first election campaign.

00:18:49.220 The second time around, it was forward.

00:18:53.160 This is the sort of person Mark Carney is.

00:18:57.360 We need change without even defining what kind of change.

00:18:59.780 How will you even change?

00:19:01.620 You have been part of the Liberal government for the last nine and a half years.

00:19:06.120 How is that change?

00:19:07.720 You're an insider.

00:19:09.240 You're a globalist.

00:19:10.960 You're Justin Trudeau on Valium.

00:19:13.900 What kind of change do you represent?

00:19:16.400 You don't represent change.

00:19:18.740 You're not an outsider.

00:19:22.140 And you don't even say what you intend to do.

00:19:26.100 Now, I'm not a politician.

00:19:34.320 I am a pragmatist.

00:19:35.880 And so if I see something that's not working, I will change it.

00:19:40.460 And that's why last week I proposed a new climate policy, eliminating the consumer carbon tax, having large polluters pay Canadians.

00:19:49.620 We'll get to more of this in a minute.

00:19:53.500 We're going to have large polluters. 1.00

00:19:55.200 Who?

00:19:55.980 What the hell? 0.98

00:19:57.060 He talks exactly like Justin Trudeau. 0.92

00:19:59.420 If you produce carbon, you're polluting, which is BS.

00:20:03.180 Absolute nonsense.

00:20:04.220 Carbon is not pollution. 0.98

00:20:05.900 And this halfwit should not be describing it as pollution. 0.94

00:20:09.760 But he expects the big corporations to pay Canadians? 1.00

00:20:13.260 Canadians, what kind of a half, what kind of a dunce is this man? 1.00

00:20:20.640 Before they start paying Canadians by being taxed by this liberal government for producing material that is not pollution, they're going to leave the country, Mark Carney. 0.98

00:20:33.060 They're going to leave Canada and set up shop elsewhere.

00:20:37.400 That's what's going to happen to make climate smart choices and helping our countries leapfrog their American competitors in global markets.

00:20:48.260 Canada needs more of this type of change.

00:20:51.840 Change that puts money in people's pockets.

00:20:54.960 Change that makes our companies more competitive.

00:20:57.560 Change that builds the strongest economy in the G7.

00:21:01.300 Now we face a very different world to one we've known all our lives.

00:21:08.940 A world in which Americans have become more neighbors than our good friends.

00:21:15.880 And it can feel bewildering at first, but if we take control, it will be empowering.

00:21:25.120 And here's how we do that.

00:21:26.480 We need to distinguish between what we can't change, what we can influence, and what we can and must change to build an even better Canada.

00:21:39.720 We need to understand.

00:21:41.120 This is like a Kamala Harris word salad.

00:21:44.640 We must change and change the things we can't change.

00:21:47.700 And if we can't change the things we can't change, then we're not going to be able to change very much.

00:21:52.200 This is an incredibly inane description of his policy.

00:21:58.720 This is complete vacuity.

00:22:02.620 I have never seen a liberal politician less adept at putting together a coherent platform than Mark Carney.

00:22:13.120 This guy is being touted as the guy who is going to save Canada from what?

00:22:18.800 Justin Trudeau, the man he works for?

00:22:20.640 It's just incredible.

00:22:24.220 If anyone buys this, then there's probably some bridges in Brooklyn and San Francisco they could also be buying.

00:22:34.000 ...what we can influence.

00:22:36.080 Look, the world is being fundamentally transformed.

00:22:39.600 The old rules-based order is finished.

00:22:42.940 But a new one, a new system, has not yet emerged.

00:22:46.000 And Canada should now work with like-minded nations to create a trading system that is consistent with our values and that builds our prosperity.

00:22:56.840 Whether we can influence President Trump is debatable.

00:23:00.140 But I think we can, if we listen to what Americans want and respond in ways that are best for Canada.

00:23:10.540 However, we need to be crystal clear about our bottom lines.

00:23:15.220 This proud country will never be part of the United States in any shape or form.

00:23:23.160 Here, here.

00:23:25.020 He got a round of applause for that, or a smattering of applause.

00:23:29.680 It does not have to do with anything.

00:23:32.080 Nobody's arguing that that's a viable option.

00:23:35.260 Except maybe Donald Trump.

00:23:36.980 But no Canadian political party, politician, is arguing that's a viable option.

00:23:42.620 This guy doesn't think through anything he says.

00:23:46.880 I think I showed this the other day, but listen to this again. 1.00

00:23:50.500 This is incredible how ignorant this man is. 0.99

00:23:55.960 How little he understands about the economy. 1.00

00:23:59.680 He's supposed to be an economist.

00:24:01.460 He was the governor of the Bank of England and the governor of the Bank of Canada.

00:24:04.500 But I don't know how the hell he was capable of even doing that job.

00:24:08.800 The large polluters pay.

00:24:10.680 And so what happens-

00:24:12.100 Does that not ultimately trickle down?

00:24:14.040 No, because what the big companies are producing, by and large, are not products that we are consuming.

00:24:21.260 There's some element of that.

00:24:22.720 But by and large, a steel company, how much steel are you using these days, Todd?

00:24:27.380 I mean, not as much.

00:24:28.440 Sorry, so that's-

00:24:30.960 How much steel are you using these days, Todd?

00:24:33.700 How much steel are you using, Mark Kearney?

00:24:39.360 I guess you don't realize that steel is still ubiquitous.

00:24:43.640 It's in the car you drive.

00:24:45.620 If you ever take a bus, it's in the bus.

00:24:47.900 It's in the aircraft that you're flying around in.

00:24:50.460 It's in thousands of objects around us, in the house, on the streets, in the cities, in the buildings.

00:25:04.500 Steel is still a very crucial commodity.

00:25:07.800 And this guy doesn't even understand that.

00:25:12.380 Oh, well, if we don't have steel, so what?

00:25:15.140 I guess we're going to be living in a new stone age.

00:25:17.840 The new stone age created by the net zero eco-extremism, the climate change extremism that will put us in a new dark age, a new stone age, where we can't eat our homes or drive or power our cars.

00:25:39.820 Mark Kearney doesn't even get that much.

00:25:44.260 Here he is again, giving you some more tidbits of wisdom.

00:25:47.640 Oh, he really resents the fact that Donald Trump has come down against the DEI policies, against the woke policies, against transgenderism.

00:26:16.780 Again, so-called gender-affirming care.

00:26:20.940 Mark Kearney loves that material.

00:26:23.900 That's what he's going to push if he ever becomes prime minister.

00:26:27.680 And he might become prime minister, maybe for a couple of days.

00:26:31.140 But this guy is not capable of leading a party to victory.

00:26:35.680 Any party, and especially the Liberal Party, which is now a byword for corruption, invasive government, and ineptitude.

00:26:50.900 That's what the Liberal Party stands for.

00:26:53.820 And Mark Kearney is the embodiment of all of those failures.

00:27:00.140 This is a man who is incapable of thinking through the tiniest bit of economic policy, because he just doesn't seem to understand the real world.

00:27:12.520 Why?

00:27:13.360 He's been working for the United Nations as the climate change goodwill ambassador for the past three years.

00:27:19.800 He's been a globalist, and he still is a globalist.

00:27:25.480 He doesn't understand average Canadians, and he doesn't want to.

00:27:31.400 He never will.

00:27:33.520 Now, I want to show you a bit of Doug Ford here, because Doug Ford doesn't know what the hell he's doing now.

00:27:39.000 Because Doug Ford was another one of those politicians who wanted a tariff war, a trade war, with the United States, because it helped him.

00:27:50.700 Doug Ford is on the verge of losing half of his economy in Ontario.

00:27:55.560 He could be losing all the car manufacturing base.

00:27:59.720 He could be losing more.

00:28:01.900 Doug Ford doesn't know what to do.

00:28:04.420 So, this is why he called his early election, because he needs to win another mandate before it's too late.

00:28:11.600 But yeah, what I did in the election days, I had to this guy 100% I was.

00:28:16.600 Then the guy pulled out the night after the end of the evening.

00:28:20.860 What do you say to voters who think that maybe you've lost your moral compass?

00:28:25.140 Well, you know something?

00:28:26.540 I don't think there's too many people that have stood up for Ontarians and Canadians like I have.

00:28:31.880 I think I've been very clear where I stand.

00:28:33.580 I stand for the people of Ontario, the people of Canada.

00:28:37.560 We're going to continue leading the way.

00:28:39.660 We're going to continue leading the way when we go down to Washington and talk to the Congress people and the Senators and Governors.

00:28:45.700 Leading the way on my multiple calls every single day.

00:28:48.840 Making sure that we promote Ontario jobs, Canadian jobs.

00:28:52.840 That's what I'm going to do.

00:28:53.720 As we work together to protect Ontario, my friends, this week we received some welcome news.

00:29:00.280 A 30-day pause on U.S. tariffs.

00:29:03.800 We should all breathe a sigh of relief.

00:29:06.340 But none of us can breathe easy.

00:29:08.980 The simple truth is, as long as Donald Trump is president, the risk of tariffs will never go away.

00:29:17.300 This is a game to him.

00:29:19.100 He wants to break Canada.

00:29:21.720 He wants to buy Canada.

00:29:23.140 But the Canadian spirit can never be broken.

00:29:26.600 And Canada is not for sale.

00:29:28.860 As we stand here, all we know for sure is there's a four-week...

00:29:34.140 Canada is not for sale.

00:29:36.340 But Doug Ford sure as hell is.

00:29:38.940 And that's all your little election is about, Doug Ford.

00:29:42.600 And to be raging against Donald Trump when we're on the verge of getting these tariffs removed, 1.00

00:29:48.980 if we are serious about border security, is pretty damn stupid. 1.00

00:29:54.380 Pause on tariffs. 1.00

00:29:56.580 Whether he implements them in a month, next year, or two years from now,

00:30:02.500 he will use the threat of tariffs to get what he wants.

00:30:05.860 Make no mistake, Canada and Ontario will continue to stare down the threat of tariffs.

00:30:14.220 If they come, Trump's tariffs will devastate our economy.

00:30:18.300 They will put hundreds of thousands of jobs at risk.

00:30:21.380 And they'll hit the bottom line of every household in Ontario.

00:30:25.960 Canadians cannot afford yet another blow to their finances.

00:30:30.580 So many families' budgets are already stretched to the limit.

00:30:34.780 Inflation, interest rates, and the liberal carbon tax have already taken so much.

00:30:41.400 You deserve to keep more of what you earn every single day.

00:30:46.580 Yeah.

00:30:48.300 And you love it, don't you?

00:30:50.480 You love baiting Donald Trump.

00:30:53.180 What the hell do you expect to happen?

00:30:55.560 Donald Trump is going to be here for at least another four years.

00:30:59.720 His policies will probably survive his presidency.

00:31:04.780 So what are you trying to achieve?

00:31:08.700 Constant fear-mongering is what you're doing.

00:31:13.060 You're not being constructive.

00:31:14.880 You don't want to solve this problem.

00:31:16.860 You don't want to solve this problem because like Justin Trudeau in the Liberal Party and Mark Carney,

00:31:21.680 you want to run against Donald Trump.

00:31:23.560 That's who you want to run again.

00:31:27.380 And I don't know.

00:31:28.840 I'm living in Ontario.

00:31:30.200 I don't know who I'm going to vote for in this election.

00:31:32.800 I sure as hell don't want the liberals or the NDP to form the government because they're even worse.

00:31:38.800 I would hope a true conservative party, a real conservative party, not a faux conservative, progressive conservative party,

00:31:48.160 a faux conservative leader like Doug Ford.

00:31:50.720 I would hope there's a real alternative that has a viable chance of winning.

00:31:57.680 But it's going to be a hard choice because Doug Ford is in this for Doug Ford.

00:32:02.220 Doug Ford is completely self-serving.

00:32:05.480 Doug Ford wants the trade war.

00:32:08.040 He wants to run against Donald Trump.

00:32:10.100 He's not being constructive.

00:32:11.720 And to tell you the truth, every time I listen to Doug Ford now, I get nauseous because he's been in the pocket of Justin Trudeau for about as long as he's been Premier of Ontario.

00:32:24.760 And he really is expendable.

00:32:29.780 And if there was a way to get rid of Doug Ford as the leader of the party, to replace him with somebody who actually thought and acted like a real conservative,

00:32:42.420 that would be the best option right now.

00:32:45.520 But I don't see that happening on the horizon.

00:32:49.040 But we need people like Doug Ford to keep their big mouth shut. 0.87

00:32:52.260 Tubby Doug Ford, the corpulent Premier, keep your big mouth shut about Donald Trump.

00:32:59.080 Stop fanning the flames of a tariff war.

00:33:03.520 Stop trying to pick a fight that you're going to lose.

00:33:09.140 We need to move beyond this.

00:33:10.960 That's what I said yesterday. 0.97

00:33:13.940 This is the dumbest trade war in history. 0.96

00:33:16.400 We need to move beyond it. 0.98

00:33:17.940 We need to fix the border.

00:33:19.900 Pierre Polly, I was talking about that.

00:33:22.200 Doug Ford isn't.

00:33:23.020 Justin Trudeau had better come through with every one of his promises to fix the border,

00:33:32.620 including sending 10,000 frontline personnel, be they cops, be they military personnel,

00:33:41.340 or be they CBSA.

00:33:45.060 But it better be 10,000 and not 2,000.

00:33:48.640 And you better get on it right now because you don't look too serious.

00:33:56.940 We'll be back in a minute.

00:33:58.040 We'll be back in a minute.

00:34:28.040 Thank you so much for watching today, folks.

00:34:35.260 Have a great Thursday.

00:34:37.160 I'll be back again tomorrow at 10.

00:34:39.740 Can't wait to do that little bit on being there, comparing that to Mark Carney's Kansas City.

00:34:47.500 Should be a lot of fun.

00:34:48.860 Have a wonderful afternoon.

00:34:53.080 I'll be back again tomorrow.

00:34:54.940 Continue to resolve to resist.

00:34:57.320 And I'll be here with all the news you need to know.
