00:00:00.000 It is by standing on guard for our country and rebuilding our military at home that we protect our country.
00:00:08.580 So we are in a very precarious position in this country.
00:00:12.840 We need political change, but we also need to resolve to resist.
00:00:17.500 Well, exciting words you heard at the offset there from Pierre Pauly, a leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.
00:00:33.840 This could well be truly a new Conservative Party of Canada that is really, truly Conservative.
00:00:40.680 Now, those are excerpts, that's an excerpt from his speech to the Conservative Party Policy Convention in Quebec City over the weekend, and it was quite a good speech.
00:00:54.120 I'm in no political party's pocket, and as soon as the Conservative Party disappoints me, I'm going to tell you that, and I'll tell them that too.
00:01:02.540 But this weekend did not disappoint.
00:01:05.160 There were some very, very good things said.
00:01:08.100 And we're going to hear more of that speech and more of that specific segment that we played at the beginning of the show, just to show you.
00:01:20.040 I think this guy might mean business.
00:01:23.860 You know, I said the same thing with Stephen Harper at the very beginning, that Stephen Harper became more and more of a centrist and moved farther and farther to the left while he was Prime Minister.
00:01:36.700 I hope this doesn't happen to Pierre Pauly, but you know what?
00:01:40.900 It might not, because I think he gets it.
00:01:43.620 He gets it that conservatism is something we need to celebrate and not hide from.
00:01:51.060 It was said by retired General Mazenov, who was also one of the speakers at this convention, that we have to stop apologizing for being Conservative.
00:02:02.100 He's not the first one to say that.
00:02:03.480 I've been saying that for years, but it's nice to hear that at a Conservative Party convention.
00:02:08.940 We don't often hear that.
00:02:10.020 Let's hear a little bit more from Pierre Pauly.
00:02:12.900 In a dangerous world, depends not on attending yet another gab fest at the UN or, God forbid, Davos, nor do we secure Canada by sending more and more aid to foreign dictators.
00:02:29.280 It is by standing on guard for our country and rebuilding our military at home that we protect our country.
00:02:35.480 Yeah, I think so.
00:02:44.220 Absolutely.
00:02:46.480 Give it up for our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and veterans.
00:02:51.540 Okay, it's nice to hear any leader ask the crowd to applaud for our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and veterans.
00:03:05.140 I'm a veteran myself.
00:03:06.980 I was an airman.
00:03:08.060 I was a public affairs officer in the Air Force.
00:03:10.560 I was proud of my service to my country.
00:03:14.560 I was proud to wear the uniform.
00:03:16.540 And people like Justin Trudeau, the current prime minister, make a lot of people not so proud to wear that uniform because he disparages it.
00:03:25.840 And we've heard there's more cuts, military cuts coming along the way, even as Trudeau continues to miss the 2% of GDP that he's promised for years as our NATO commitment.
00:03:39.140 He's not going to reach that.
00:03:40.800 And privately, he knows he won't.
00:03:42.800 And he knows he doesn't want to.
00:03:45.380 But he can give billions of dollars away to Ukraine, can't he?
00:03:50.180 I won't get into that today.
00:03:52.040 I want to focus on Mr. Poliev's speech, which I think was excellent.
00:03:57.840 And I think he really touched a lot of bases.
00:04:00.600 Now, we're going to listen to a little bit more of it.
00:04:03.500 And I've tried to select what I think are the most relevant and pertinent parts of it.
00:04:08.500 He didn't fight for our freedom abroad so the prime minister could take it away at home.
00:04:13.240 He said he admires the dictators in Cuba and Beijing.
00:04:17.020 His radical censorship laws, which Margaret Atwood called creeping totalitarianism and which make news disappear from social media, violate our constitutional freedom of expression.
00:04:31.060 We will repeal Justin Trudeau's censorship laws and restore freedom of speech on campus, online, and everywhere in Canada.
00:04:40.140 OK, now, in the first segment, he touched on something that we all can agree with.
00:04:47.180 Let's stop having our domestic policy being made in Davos, Switzerland, by the World Economic Forum and people like Klaus Schwab and their puppets, Justin Trudeau and other world leaders who are in bed with the W.E.F.
00:05:04.900 I'm glad he said that.
00:05:07.100 Thank God he said that.
00:05:08.780 Now, he goes on in this segment to address something that I address here on this station every week.
00:05:15.640 And that's we have got to defeat Justin Trudeau's censorship legislation.
00:05:21.240 It's not just one bill.
00:05:22.640 It's not just two bills.
00:05:24.200 It's three bills.
00:05:25.540 I call it a trilogy of censorship, a censorship trilogy.
00:05:29.360 And the worst is coming.
00:05:31.540 The worst is coming in the fall because there's going to be the reintroduction of what was originally called the online safety bill.
00:05:39.920 I don't know if it's going to retain that current name, but it's going to be the same in substance because I have read the focus group studies that the Liberal Party and the government has been doing with sympathetic people.
00:05:53.560 What does it amount to anything the Liberal Party and anything Justin Trudeau and his government doesn't agree with will be labeled disinformation and subject to being banned and possibly prosecution for those disseminating it.
00:06:10.700 And they have intentionally not defined what disinformation is because they don't want to, because that will restrict their ability to prosecute and to stop people from posting information they disagree with.
00:06:28.220 Thank God Paliyev says he's going to repeal that legislation if it's passed.
00:06:33.040 And it's going to repeal the two pieces of legislation that are already corroding our free speech and our Internet safety, real safety in this country.
00:06:45.440 It's always the reverse of what Trudeau says it is.
00:06:50.240 He says it's about safety.
00:06:51.860 It's not about safety.
00:06:53.920 It's about posing a danger to your free speech and your ability to communicate freely without restriction.
00:07:01.340 So that's all nonsense.
00:07:04.320 Bravo for Pierre Paliyev for making it clear that a conservative government will repeal this legislation.
00:07:11.860 Let's hear some more.
00:07:12.740 Bring home control of our democracy.
00:07:15.860 Give people back control of their lives and make Canada once again the freest nation on earth.
00:07:27.460 Freedom.
00:07:28.100 Freedom used to be uncontroversial.
00:07:33.280 Freedom was part of the Canadian consensus.
00:07:36.340 Liberals believed in liberty.
00:07:37.760 Conservatives believed in conserving it.
00:07:40.780 Today's liberals run down freedom so that they can justify taking it away.
00:07:44.460 So often today we hear that we can't allow freedom.
00:07:47.680 That we need bureaucrats and experts to dictate what ordinary people can hear and say.
00:07:54.540 Because ordinary people, in quotation marks, can't make their own decisions. 0.99
00:07:59.860 But let me tell you, my friends, I have met these so-called ordinary people.
00:08:05.580 And they are not ordinary.
00:08:07.480 They are extraordinary.
00:08:09.960 And they have the common sense of the common people to make their own decisions and be masters in their country.
00:08:16.880 So Pierre Paliyev is running a common sense revolution.
00:08:25.420 He's standing up for ordinary Canadians, who he says are extraordinary.
00:08:31.780 And he's going to stand on guard for what Canada is all about, and that's freedom.
00:08:38.160 And I don't know if Canada was always the freest country on earth.
00:08:41.380 But I sure was one of the freest.
00:08:43.560 But it's no longer that.
00:08:44.680 But it's becoming a laughingstock, an embarrassment, and an authoritarian nightmare because of Justin Trudeau.
00:08:53.060 And it's nice to hear a politician expound on the idea that freedom is a wonderful thing.
00:09:00.620 But you know what?
00:09:01.700 It's a fragile thing.
00:09:03.040 As former President Ronald Reagan, the great late Ronald Reagan, said,
00:09:08.480 freedom and liberty is fragile and can disappear within a generation.
00:09:12.500 It's been disappearing within eight years of the Trudeau government.
00:09:16.460 And we have got to bring it back.
00:09:19.340 Now, I am enthused about this convention.
00:09:21.720 I'm enthused about what Pierre Paliyev did.
00:09:23.600 I'm also enthused about some policy resolutions.
00:09:27.220 And I think it's very important.
00:09:29.960 One of them included the right to refuse a vaccine.
00:09:36.920 Should be sacrosanct in Canada.
00:09:39.140 But Justin Trudeau ran his government on the principle that you couldn't refuse a vaccine and work or live or be expected to be a part of society.
00:09:51.700 You were ostracized.
00:09:53.660 You were basically forced to take that vaccine if you wanted to travel, if you wanted to work,
00:09:58.480 if you wanted to live in this country as a normal human being and not in a cave someplace.
00:10:04.460 He's also saying you have a right to refuse employment training for ideological reasons.
00:10:11.900 You know what that means.
00:10:13.020 That's critical race theory that people in many corporations and throughout government are having shoved down their throat.
00:10:22.420 And they're forced to do this or they're going to lose their jobs if they don't submit to this re-education that says everything in life is based on race.
00:10:32.580 It's all defined by race. 0.90
00:10:34.500 And there are two people.
00:10:35.900 There are those.
00:10:36.920 There are the victors.
00:10:39.640 And there are those who are basically the slaves.
00:10:43.920 There are those who are oppressed.
00:10:46.460 There's the oppressor and the oppressed.
00:10:48.920 And if you're white, you're naturally and must be the oppressor. 0.96
00:10:52.720 And if you're non-white, you have to be oppressed. 0.97
00:10:55.400 That's an insult not only to whites but to non-whites to tell them they have to be oppressed because of the color of their skin. 0.99
00:11:03.260 It's nonsense. 0.96
00:11:04.280 Polly have saying no to that. 1.00
00:11:05.780 The conservative party is saying no to that.
00:11:07.780 Get the way CTV phrases this will know.
00:11:10.740 Because one of the resolutions would see a conservative government restrict gender-affirming medical care.
00:11:16.820 What does that mean?
00:11:17.480 What is gender-affirming medical care? 1.00
00:11:19.760 B.S.
00:11:20.560 That's chemical castration and pharmaceutical castration.
00:11:26.600 That is making little boys not little boys anymore by taking away their private parts.
00:11:33.700 That's not tender-affirming.
00:11:37.000 And that's not medical care.
00:11:40.000 That's the same kind of medical care he got in concentration camps.
00:11:44.100 That is nonsense.
00:11:45.280 And CTV repeats this lie that it's both gender-affirming and it's medical care.
00:11:52.280 It's not care.
00:11:54.080 It's bad, evil medicine.
00:11:57.280 And what else?
00:12:00.080 Another opposes the inclusion of trans women in women's spaces such as sports teams and in bathrooms.
00:12:11.200 You know what?
00:12:12.740 Common sense.
00:12:13.940 Common sense.
00:12:15.280 Biological males should not be wandering around women's change rooms. 1.00
00:12:20.920 They should not be competing in women's sports. 1.00
00:12:24.980 They want to say they're women. 0.99
00:12:26.560 That's fine.
00:12:28.160 But biologically, they should not be competing against women. 0.53
00:12:33.000 They should not be wandering around women's change room with their private parts hanging out. 0.99
00:12:38.360 That is disgusting. 0.97
00:12:40.380 That is an insult to the women in the change room. 1.00
00:12:43.020 And you know what?
00:12:43.860 When this whole thing started, we called it the bathroom bill because we said, you know what?
00:12:49.620 It's going to mean that some guy who says he's a woman can walk into a women's change room and watch. 1.00
00:12:58.300 People said, oh, never going to happen.
00:13:01.660 That's not the purpose of this bill.
00:13:03.480 Well, that's not what this is all about.
00:13:05.600 But of course, it is happening every day all over the place.
00:13:10.700 And it's becoming epidemic.
00:13:14.040 The conservatives are saying no to that.
00:13:16.460 Thank God for that.
00:13:18.000 Thank God.
00:13:18.820 They've got the guts to stand up for that.
00:13:22.800 Now, I see they didn't discuss abortion.
00:13:26.540 Not that I've seen anyway.
00:13:28.760 That doesn't surprise me.
00:13:30.020 That's still verboten.
00:13:31.700 But maybe we'll get to the point where we can talk about abortion, too, at not only conservative party policy conventions, but in the public forum during elections.
00:13:41.500 And we can move on from Canada being one of the few countries in the world that has unrestricted abortion on demand up to the last trimester, up to the baby being born.
00:13:53.040 Maybe we can move beyond that.
00:13:54.760 Maybe we can actually have a debate, a discussion about how immoral that is, how disgusting that is. 1.00
00:14:00.400 Maybe we can get back to having a debate about that and stop listening to the left wing idiots who say, oh, that has been settled. 1.00
00:14:08.020 That issue has been settled. 1.00
00:14:09.160 So, wait for it now.
00:14:12.980 From the left wing media and the liberal and NDP, they will be coming out and saying, Polyev is dangerous.
00:14:22.180 He leads a far right party that is somehow homophobic, although I don't know how they could read that into it at all.
00:14:30.000 That it's transphobic because they don't think little kids should be changing their gender, especially without telling their parents.
00:14:39.160 This is another thing that conservatives are standing up for.
00:14:41.860 Parental rights. 0.71
00:14:43.140 Parents have a right to know if their children want to change their pronouns or change their gender.
00:14:49.780 But they are standing up for some very basic issues.
00:14:57.260 This is a common sense revolution.
00:14:59.080 This is a new conservative party.
00:15:01.480 But I tell you, that's not how the mainstream media is going to be interpreting this.
00:15:06.480 They're going to say this is dangerous.
00:15:08.760 This is far right.
00:15:10.100 But you know what? 1.00
00:15:12.220 I think Canadians in large are fed up with digesting those lies and that crap and the same nonsense, the same word salad from the same political idiots. 1.00
00:15:29.080 And the same idiots in the journalism world who keep regurgitating their own crap week in, week out. 1.00
00:15:38.880 They really have started to believe it and they love to repeat it. 1.00
00:15:43.680 They love to repeat it.
00:15:44.880 So this, I think, is a turning point for not only the conservative party, but for the country.
00:15:52.440 And we need to see more of it.
00:15:54.680 And we need to see a change of government.
00:16:00.620 And I'm not telling you how to vote.
00:16:03.580 I have a lot of time for the People's Party of Canada and Maxime Bernier.
00:16:07.220 He's a friend of mine.
00:16:08.600 I love the fact he stood up for things that nobody else has.
00:16:13.640 But I'm going to support what happened at this convention because it's important to support right when you see it.
00:16:23.460 And I tell you, this was very seminal.
00:16:28.320 This was very groundbreaking.
00:16:29.680 And I think we need to build on this momentum and defeat, one way or the other, this Justin Trudeau liberal government that is erosive, caustic, and catastrophic for Canada and for your life and mine.
00:16:50.180 And it's not getting better.
00:16:51.680 It's getting worse.
00:16:53.780 Anyway, I'm going to end it there.
00:16:55.140 Thank you so much for watching today.
00:16:57.280 Remember to ring that bell, subscribe, become a supporter, become a member of the station, support me financially.
00:17:04.520 I need it.
00:17:06.020 I want to keep bringing you the news that you want to hear.
00:17:09.980 And when you ring that bell, you're fighting Trudeau censorship.
00:17:13.660 That means because you get notifications.
00:17:15.940 I'm on again.
00:17:17.460 I've been on every day this week, the last week.
00:17:20.140 I'm back tomorrow talking about the Tamara Leach, Chris Barber trial in Ottawa that goes on throughout the week.
00:17:28.420 And I've been covering that.
00:17:29.780 And I'm going to be back tomorrow with that.
00:17:31.360 Because that, too, is about your freedom and mine.
00:17:36.820 It's about Canadian freedom.
00:17:38.160 It's about standing on guard.
00:17:42.340 And that's what this show is all about.
00:17:45.100 And that's what I'm here for.
00:17:47.240 To stand on guard.
00:17:48.540 With you for our freedoms.
00:17:50.400 Thank you for watching.
00:17:52.260 Only $5.
00:17:53.520 You can become a part of that on YouTube, on Substack, and with Buy Me a Copy, a one-time donation.
00:18:02.200 But I need your support.
00:18:03.460 And from the bottom of my heart, I thank you.
00:18:05.940 If you've already done that, if you're already supporting the station, thank you.
00:18:10.860 But if you haven't, make that decision today.
00:18:14.320 We'll see you next time.
