00:00:00.000 We got no front door, good buddy, mercy sakes of life. Looks like we got us a convoy.
00:00:06.460 Canadian country singer Paul Brandt here. I've been listening with my wife and two kids,
00:00:11.280 and we want to say thank you for all you're doing in defense of civil liberties and freedom.
00:00:15.620 You're inspiring the world, and we're standing with you.
00:00:21.620 So we are in a very precarious position in this country.
00:00:24.620 We need political change, but we also need to resolve to resist.
00:00:39.860 Hey, didn't you love that clip at the very beginning?
00:00:43.620 That picture of the truck going through, that has been really going viral all over social media today.
00:00:50.580 And I think it just depicts the collapse of the Liberal Party and the Trudeau government.
00:01:00.280 It's been day seven of the Freedom Trial.
00:01:04.500 I'm calling it the Freedom Trial, the Tamara Leach-Chris Barber trial here in Ottawa at the Ottawa Provincial Courthouse.
00:01:14.820 It has been getting not a lot of attention so far.
00:01:19.340 And the last few days have been kind of boring.
00:01:22.980 But that's because the prosecution is trying to bore people to death.
00:01:28.180 But you know, the funny thing is, everything, everything that they're showing,
00:01:34.900 all of the videos of news conferences and various social media appearances by Tamara Leach and Chris Barber,
00:01:46.380 all point towards the protests being peaceful.
00:01:51.240 I can't tell you how many times I've heard both of these people not only encourage,
00:01:58.340 but demand that the protesters be nonviolent,
00:02:04.380 that they accommodate the public,
00:02:07.340 that they not do things that are going to disturb or bother residents of Ottawa,
00:02:13.280 that they cooperate and obey the police.
00:02:17.140 Heard that timeless throughout the week.
00:02:20.860 It's quite clear.
00:02:22.780 The video has been absolutely fascinating.
00:02:26.980 And you know what?
00:02:27.660 As we're sitting there, listening to this,
00:02:33.000 as the trial continues, we're on day seven.
00:02:36.300 It just concluded.
00:02:37.760 I just came back from it.
00:02:40.320 What's happening in London, Ontario this week?
00:02:42.500 The Liberal Caucus is meeting.
00:02:45.960 Now, what we know that they've already talked about and they're raising concern about is housing,
00:02:54.880 affordable housing in Canada, which is virtually non-existent.
00:02:58.000 Trying to rent an apartment in any major Canadian city.
00:03:03.320 And I tell you, it's at least 150%, 200% higher than an average mortgage.
00:03:13.960 It is virtually impossible to rent a one-room apartment here in Ottawa and Vancouver, Calgary,
00:03:22.760 all Canadian major cities.
00:03:26.360 So, yes, they're talking about affordable housing.
00:03:28.500 They're also talking about the fact that Pierre Polyev,
00:03:31.020 the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada,
00:03:33.380 is certainly gaining in popularity.
00:03:38.140 And his party is eclipsing the Liberal Party and the NDP.
00:03:41.720 Polyev is rising in the polls and that's scaring a lot of Liberals.
00:03:49.140 So, are they confronting Dustin Trudeau about his leadership?
00:03:54.080 He was late for this caucus meeting, this retreat.
00:03:57.440 They're always retreating, aren't they?
00:03:59.300 First of all, the Cabinet retreated to Charlottetown PEI.
00:04:02.880 And that was really a completely ineffectual and ineffective get-together.
00:04:09.340 Now they're retreating to London, Ontario.
00:04:12.780 And what's happening?
00:04:14.940 Are they challenging Trudeau's leadership?
00:04:17.380 Maybe a bit.
00:04:19.120 But I want to know, are they asking questions about why are we embarrassing Canada
00:04:24.900 with this trial of two peaceful protesters?
00:04:29.040 Why are they putting so much time, effort, and money into a trial that initially started
00:04:35.120 as a 16-day affair, which is about 15 days too long,
00:04:39.080 and has already expanded beyond 20 days,
00:04:41.660 and I predict is going to go into mid to late November,
00:04:44.880 because of the minutia that has been introduced by the prosecution.
00:04:48.400 Everything, everything is being introduced.
00:04:53.580 And it's become not just about two people,
00:04:56.040 it's become the entire Freedom Convoy is on trial.
00:04:58.760 And I would argue your freedom of expression,
00:05:01.720 your freedom of protest, our freedom is on trial,
00:05:04.580 and that's why I call it the Freedom Trial.
00:05:07.700 Now, I went to the Freedom Convoy protest 2022 to find out what happened.
00:05:12.480 I was there during those frigid days into the night.
00:05:16.720 And I say it again, I never saw the streets cleaner in Ottawa.
00:05:23.600 These people looked after their messes.
00:05:28.720 If they created any, they cleaned them up.
00:05:31.280 They shoveled snow around monuments.
00:05:33.980 They didn't desecrate them, they shoveled snow around them.
00:05:36.780 And they behaved better than any other protesters I've ever seen in Ottawa.
00:05:43.980 They did not come to destroy.
00:05:46.260 They came to instruct and educate.
00:05:50.140 I talked to a woman today.
00:05:51.740 She's been sitting beside me in the courtroom.
00:05:54.840 And we share a military background.
00:05:58.300 I won't be more specific than that.
00:05:59.740 But she was telling me about what got her interested in this trial.
00:06:06.920 And it was because she went to see what was really happening in February, January, February 2022,
00:06:13.580 when the Freedom Convoy was in town.
00:06:15.700 She was watching the mainstream media like CBC.
00:06:18.380 She got one story there.
00:06:20.280 She was at that time watching independent media.
00:06:24.960 And she was getting a completely different story.
00:06:27.100 And she said, I'm going to go there myself and find out what's going on.
00:06:30.140 I'm going to go there and talk to people and see who's telling the truth, the mainstream media or independent media.
00:06:35.200 So she went downtown Ottawa and she started talking to people and saying, what are you doing here?
00:06:41.720 Why are you here?
00:06:43.780 What's this all about?
00:06:45.580 And is there any violence going on?
00:06:48.120 Are you bothering people?
00:06:49.580 Are you upsetting people?
00:06:50.660 Are you making messes?
00:06:51.600 Are you stealing food from the local good shepherds of hope?
00:07:01.020 And she found out that was not true.
00:07:02.900 She found out the independent media were telling the truth.
00:07:05.240 Now, I really want to thank her for telling me that story because it reminded me of so many people.
00:07:10.160 They decided to find out for themselves.
00:07:13.340 And that's exactly what she did.
00:07:15.460 She came to Ottawa to find out for herself.
00:07:18.800 And I did too.
00:07:20.120 I wanted to find out by talking to people and not staying in a bunker in February because it was too cold to go outside and just talking to a bunch of people who agreed on the same assumption that this was somehow an occupation of Ottawa by a bunch of dangerous fringe people.
00:07:41.840 I didn't buy that story.
00:07:43.260 So I went out and talked to people myself and I found out these were just ordinary Canadians, truckers, protesters who supported them, people who didn't agree with the mandatory vaccine and the other mandates that came along with COVID-19 and that Justin Trudeau was pushing down people's throats.
00:08:00.840 They didn't agree with that.
00:08:02.100 And that's why they came to Ottawa.
00:08:05.340 And that's why they protested.
00:08:08.140 So this has been an interesting week so far.
00:08:10.460 I'm back at the trial tomorrow.
00:08:12.480 There's supposed to be some more action, some more activity, some questioning, some cross-examination.
00:08:17.940 We might even see the first witnesses appear.
00:08:20.840 And believe me, this will be interesting to hear some of this testimony.
00:08:25.100 I'm looking forward to that.
00:08:27.180 I want to thank Desi Media, who's been there on many occasions to get some great footage.
00:08:33.360 We've used that.
00:08:34.040 We used that last Friday.
00:08:37.700 I've been trying to get pictures.
00:08:39.320 It's difficult to get pictures.
00:08:41.460 You can only take pictures when the people leave the courtroom, the courthouse.
00:08:48.360 They've got to be on the street and sometimes they don't linger.
00:08:52.180 So it's difficult to get pictures that are different.
00:08:55.760 We've got a couple we're going to use in this segment I got yesterday.
00:09:01.860 But I've been talking to everybody.
00:09:04.880 And I tell you, this trial is very interesting.
00:09:09.600 And I'm going to make another prediction.
00:09:11.360 I think the defense is going to win this.
00:09:15.720 I think they have a strategy that is winning.
00:09:19.060 They have a winning strategy.
00:09:20.400 They understand what they need to do to win.
00:09:23.520 I don't think the prosecution has a clue what it's doing, except to run a PR exercise.
00:09:32.020 And even that seems to be going terribly wrong for them.
00:09:36.440 So I want to encourage you to, again, subscribe, become a member of the station, support us financially, ring that bell, so you can continue to receive these broadcasts, so we can beat Trudeau's censorship.
00:09:53.240 More about that in the coming weeks, because there's worse coming.
00:09:56.520 There's more censorship coming.
00:09:57.880 It's going to get worse, not better in this fall session.
00:10:02.660 That's why we have to work against Justin Trudeau.
00:10:05.200 We have to resolve to resist.
00:10:07.700 And I welcome your financial support.
00:10:09.620 And I welcome your interest and your continued viewing of these broadcasts.
00:10:17.660 Let's push those numbers up.
00:10:19.300 Let's keep going.
00:10:20.060 I've met so many of you at the trial this week who watch these broadcasts, who are following what I'm doing.
00:10:25.220 Thank you for coming up to me and shaking my hand and saying, thank you, David, for the work you're doing.
00:10:32.380 And thank you that you don't put any politician on a pedestal.
00:10:38.600 Thank you for remembering they're supposed to be working for us and not us for them.
00:10:43.680 I never forget that.
00:10:45.560 Thanks for watching today.
00:10:46.700 We'll be back tomorrow with another broadcast of Stand on Guard, and I'll give you an update on what's happening with this trial.
00:10:57.760 Exciting times for Canada.
00:10:59.940 And we could see victory, not just for Tamara and Chris, but for freedom, for freedom in Canada.
00:11:07.580 Thanks again for watching.
00:11:08.860 I know how Ottawa works.
00:11:11.100 I know how corrupt federal government can be.
00:11:13.840 But you can play a part in opposing Justin Trudeau's government and Justin Trudeau's plans for Canada.
00:11:24.860 You can become a part of the Creighton's right resistance.
00:11:29.060 Now, I urge you today, please support this station in any way you can.
00:11:35.460 Ring that bell, subscribe, because that ensures you're at least going to continue to be able to watch these episodes.
00:11:42.980 You'll beat the algorithm.
00:11:44.660 But more importantly, I need your financial support.
00:11:49.240 I hate to ask, but that's what I'm doing.
00:11:51.680 I'm in a decision to pursue independent media because I believe it was the best possible route for me to take as a journalist and as a concerned citizen of Canada.
00:12:04.240 So you can become a part of that.
00:12:07.180 And at only $5, you can become a part of that on YouTube, on Substack, and with buying me a copy, a one-time donation.
00:12:17.380 But I need your support.
00:12:18.660 And from the bottom of my heart, I thank you.
00:12:21.140 If you've already done that, if you're already supporting a station, thank you.
00:12:25.140 But if you haven't, make that decision today.
