00:00:05.500 Really glad to be here this week. We've had another week of the Freedom Convoy trial going on in Ottawa.

00:00:24.220 And they're trying to suggest that they were the ultimate leaders in this,
00:00:30.520 and that what one person said meant the other person said it, and vice versa.
00:00:36.600 But you know what they've been doing lately? They've been introducing witnesses.
00:00:42.660 The prosecution has been introducing witnesses who are Ottawa residents
00:00:47.380 and who are just terribly inconvenienced by this Freedom Convoy protest.
00:00:54.920 But one witness in particular is very interesting, and that would be Zexy Lee.
00:01:02.860 So let's come back and discuss who is Zexy Lee.

00:01:14.500 We need political change, but we also need to resolve to resist.

00:01:30.920 Well, she is not only a witness for the prosecution who appeared Monday
00:01:34.800 with very contradictory testimony from the last time we saw her in such an environment,
00:01:40.920 which was the Emergencies Act Inquiry of about a year ago, where she testified at length.
00:01:47.760 But testimony from that inquiry and the trial didn't quite match up at times.
00:01:53.640 Something that Tamara Leach's lawyer, Lawrence Greenspawn, pointed out to her
00:02:00.340 and pointed out to the court.
00:02:02.060 And it's quite interesting why the testimony didn't add up.
00:02:08.460 Now, Greenspawn noted that for once, she didn't have the same story about this egg carton incident.
00:02:19.380 And this is when people in her apartment complex started throwing eggs at the truckers 1.00

00:04:07.300 Now, it's very interesting that Mr. Greenspawn also pointed out that during the lunch break,

00:04:22.580 And, of course, she is the lead plaintiff, as I've said.
00:04:26.660 She's the lead plaintiff in a $300 million lawsuit against the Freedom Convoy.
00:04:31.320 And these people want to squeeze as much money as they can out of these truckers.
00:04:36.580 Because they really think they're evil people.
00:04:41.280 And she's not supposed to be discussing her case, her testimony,
00:04:46.320 in a criminal trial with a civil lawsuit lawyer.
00:04:52.580 And Greenspawn asked, what did you two talk about?
00:04:57.760 Zexy Lee said, oh, we were just talking about lunch.
00:05:01.660 What to do for lunch.
00:05:03.120 And it was only a five, no more than 10-minute conversation.
00:05:08.480 Now, Greenspawn obviously was concerned.
00:05:12.560 She has been told not to discuss the criminal lawsuit with her civil lawsuit lawyer.
00:05:20.260 And if she did that, that would be a violation of the rules.
00:05:29.740 Interestingly enough, after this confrontation with Greenspawn,

00:05:37.540 She said she was just so sad because I guess she wanted to be greeted as a hero.

00:07:53.200 And, you know, had their little retaliation in frustration because, really, what else could they do?

00:08:06.080 to inquire about the egg throwing as a complaint had been made by the truckers.

00:09:09.120 Well, she was a co-director and a speaker at a leadership summit in 2022, sponsored by the ACCT.

00:09:23.940 It's a lobby group organized by Senator Wu.
00:09:30.760 And one of the things this lobby group really is opposed to is a foreign agent registry.
00:09:37.520 Now, you can look at the ACCT website for the rest of the week, if you wish, and you will not find any reference to either Sexy Lee or to the 2022 Leadership Summit.

00:09:54.920 It's been totally redacted.

00:10:08.740 These are good questions because, once again, it comes back to what is the prosecution up to with witnesses like this?
00:10:17.200 Witnesses who clearly think they have a financial gain from the Freedom Convoy being in Ottawa.

00:10:27.900 Because the thing is, as I said previously, when we had another member of this lawsuit testify at the trial,
00:10:39.760 why are they blaming their slowdown in sales, the fact that things were not great in downtown Ottawa?
00:10:51.620 Yes, Ottawa was a wasteland in January, February 2022.

00:10:57.420 But largely because of rolling lockdowns from Mayor Jim Watson in Ottawa and Premier Doug Ford in Ontario.
00:11:07.700 They had extremist COVID-19 mandates that included mandatory masking,
00:11:13.760 effectively mandatory vaccines, if you wanted to work or travel.
00:11:26.040 And they were shutting down businesses because they could not operate above 25% capacity.
00:11:34.160 And yes, the economy suffered horribly during that time.
00:11:38.580 And people suffered socially, not being able to get out, not being able to meet with other people.
00:11:45.140 Addiction rose, mental illness rose.
00:11:47.560 Yes, Ottawa was a wasteland at that time.
00:11:49.740 But don't blame the Freedom Convoy protest for that. 0.99

00:11:53.040 And to bring all these Ottawa residents forward as prosecution witnesses is ultimately just a dumb strategy. 0.98

00:12:26.340 They were blamed for urinating, defecating on the streets, for leaving garbage everywhere.

00:12:41.120 And that had to be one of the Freedom Convoy protesters.

00:13:18.540 We heard of a witness last week, Chantel Viro, who talked about the fact she had experienced unusual smells in the market area.
00:13:29.980 And she listed those as exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke, and weed. 0.63
00:13:36.680 And anybody who's wandered through the market any other time will know that those three smells are usually present in the market any time of the year.
00:13:47.000 But this is how desperate this prosecution is.

00:14:01.300 Yes, it's a show trial to a large degree.
00:14:04.420 And yeah, it's about trying to make life miserable for Tamara Leach and Chris Barber.
00:14:11.000 But it's also about a judicial chill to make people too damn afraid to protest Trudeau government policies.
00:14:21.620 Because if you do, if you protest the wrong things, if your free speech is on the wrong side, and if your freedom of assembly is getting together for the wrong policies,
00:14:34.480 then Justin Trudeau and the judicial system is going to punish you for that.
00:14:41.940 So that's what this is all about.

00:14:50.460 So this has been a fascinating week, again, of Ottawa residents coming forth, basically saying the same thing.
