Stand on Guard with David Krayden - Trudeau's Empty Promises： Premiers Unite & Demand ACTION ｜ Stand on Guard

00:00:00.000 Goodbye

00:00:30.000 Thank you.

00:01:00.000 Thank you.

00:01:02.700 Touching, isn't it?

00:01:04.520 Macron's standing there like he's waiting for his lover to arrive.

00:01:09.120 No further comment is necessary.

00:01:11.540 When we come back, and by the way, good morning.

00:01:15.140 Welcome to Monday.

00:01:16.800 Here we are, February 10th, 2025.

00:01:21.140 Got a lot to talk about today.

00:01:23.340 Welcome back to the show.

00:01:24.740 This is Stand on Guard.

00:01:26.060 I'm your host, David Creighton.

00:01:27.380 When we come back, I'm going to talk about why is Justin Trudeau in France,

00:01:34.480 what's going on with tariffs, and a lot of other material.

00:01:39.260 We need, but it's a change.

00:01:56.880 But we also need a resolve to resist.

00:01:59.520 Yes, please like this broadcast.

00:02:10.720 I really appreciate your support.

00:02:12.720 We need it.

00:02:13.980 We always do.

00:02:15.340 And when you like the broadcast at this point, it helps us overcome the YouTube algorithm,

00:02:20.340 which is generally not pointed in my direction.

00:02:24.460 But I thank you for that.

00:02:27.940 And if you haven't subscribed to my station, please do so.

00:02:32.380 And if you need to resubscribe, we appreciate that too.

00:02:36.140 It's all part of what we do here.

00:02:39.380 Before I proceed to, I think what will amount to a mini fireside chat,

00:02:45.300 but before I get into the material, I want to congratulate my pastor.

00:02:53.400 Here he is, Senior Pastor Doug Anderson of the Lighthouse Free Methodist Church, Carlton Place.

00:03:02.580 Pastor Doug was celebrating 30 years in the position yesterday during church.

00:03:11.280 And afterwards, we cut the cake here.

00:03:14.800 And we just want to say, Pastor Doug, what a blessing you have been to our lives.

00:03:23.440 Hope you have 30 more years.

00:03:26.020 As you joked yesterday, you were 10 when you arrived.

00:03:31.180 You have done a superlative job.

00:03:33.900 I really love you so much as a spiritual leader, as a shepherd, or as you like to call yourself,

00:03:42.080 the sheepdog who brings us to the chief shepherd, Jesus.

00:03:46.060 Thank you so much for being there.

00:03:49.200 And I just wanted to take this time at the beginning of this broadcast to congratulate you on 30 years,

00:03:55.300 to encourage you to keep doing the wonderful work you're doing,

00:03:58.460 and to tell you how much you mean to me and so many others in that congregation.

00:04:03.900 Thank you again, Pastor Doug.

00:04:07.980 Well, what's going on with Pierpaglia?

00:04:13.660 That's what I really want to address, first of all,

00:04:16.560 because there's an event coming up, and stupid me kept saying it was on Friday.

00:04:22.740 No, no, it's on Saturday, February 15th. 0.91

00:04:25.900 Friday, we might have some news from the Supreme Court about the challenge to the prorogation of Parliament.

00:04:36.280 We might have some huge news on February 14th, which, of course, is also Valentine's Day.

00:04:41.400 We'll be taking time out to say Happy Valentine's Day at that point.

00:04:46.940 But it's also the third anniversary of Justin Trudeau invoking the Emergencies Act in 2022.

00:04:56.360 Remember it well.

00:04:58.260 I was downtown Ottawa covering the event at the time for Human Events

00:05:03.940 and was still very much caught up in what was the Freedom Convoy without quotation marks.

00:05:13.500 It was the Freedom Convoy.

00:05:16.940 And it's one of our mugs, by the way.

00:05:21.080 I don't always stop and point that out, but this is one of our mugs.

00:05:25.920 It was the Freedom Convoy.

00:05:28.640 But February 15th is a rally, Canada First rally,

00:05:33.180 at the Rogers Centre, downtown Ottawa, right next to the Rideau Centre,

00:05:38.060 the same place where the Canada Strong and Free Conference is held every year.

00:05:45.740 So this is a major event.

00:05:48.740 And this will be integral to where Pierre Paul live and the Conservative Party of Canada go

00:05:56.740 in this upcoming election, which could be coming very, very soon.

00:06:01.540 But I can tell you this.

00:06:04.880 And I want to say this from the offset or the onset.

00:06:09.760 I understand that Pierre Paulie is in a very difficult position, very difficult.

00:06:17.020 And I am not sure what kind of advice I would give him, beyond the obvious.

00:06:24.700 But what's the right advice?

00:06:26.500 He's facing a difficult situation where Donald Trump continues to alienate Canadians

00:06:31.940 by making remarks about Canada being the 51st state, about arbitrarily dropping tariffs.

00:06:39.560 And today we're going to be subject to the rest of the world, to a tariff on aluminum and steel.

00:06:47.080 Of course, you listen to Mark Carney.

00:06:48.640 We're not using any steel, so it's no big deal.

00:06:50.860 Yes, he said that, folks.

00:06:52.760 Can't believe anyone who is the governor of the Bank of England and the governor of the Bank of Canada 1.00

00:06:58.300 would say something so incredibly stupid. 1.00

00:07:01.420 Is he ignorant? 1.00

00:07:02.300 Is he naive? 1.00

00:07:03.100 Is he just plain dumb? 1.00

00:07:04.880 I don't know. 0.99

00:07:05.500 But he's certainly nowhere near the economic expert that the Canadian media

00:07:12.740 have tried so desperately to depict him as.

00:07:19.620 But Paulie is in a difficult position because if he goes after Donald Trump too strongly,

00:07:25.400 he alienates the conservative base that likes Donald Trump.

00:07:30.420 And I like Donald Trump.

00:07:31.980 But every day I'm getting madder and madder at Donald Trump because he's helping Justin Trudeau.

00:07:38.280 Justin Trudeau wants a trade war.

00:07:40.160 Justin Trudeau wants to run against Donald Trump.

00:07:44.640 Mark Carney wants to run against Donald Trump.

00:07:47.780 Mark Carney wants to demonize the United States under Donald Trump.

00:07:53.220 Donald Trump is complying very well.

00:07:55.300 By suggesting that he really has nothing but contempt for Canada,

00:08:01.220 he's alienating a lot of people in this country.

00:08:05.640 And they expect Paulie to come out against Trump with equal venom,

00:08:10.840 with talking about retaliatory tariffs.

00:08:13.960 All of this does us no good.

00:08:16.360 We need to end the trade war.

00:08:18.400 We need negotiations.

00:08:19.680 We need a strong prime minister to deal with Donald Trump.

00:08:23.580 That's not Justin Trudeau.

00:08:25.000 And that sure as hell isn't Mark Carney. 1.00

00:08:26.880 He's a clown. 0.99

00:08:30.960 This guy has very little understanding of economics. 1.00

00:08:36.640 He has been a globalist pawn his entire career.

00:08:41.620 But I understand the position Pierre Paulie has in.

00:08:43.760 And so I wanted to start the broadcast today by saying this is a difficult position.

00:08:50.460 And he has to be very careful with what he says and even more careful with what he does.

00:08:56.880 Donald Trump is apparently trying to put Canada in the same situation as China was in the late 1890s,

00:09:03.920 just before the 1901 Boxer, or the 1899, excuse me, Boxer Rebellion.

00:09:11.180 China was an extremely weak country.

00:09:13.340 It was being exploited by various Western imperialist countries, including the United States.

00:09:20.480 But Britain was there.

00:09:22.020 Germany was even there.

00:09:23.200 They all had a little piece of China.

00:09:24.780 Donald Trump seems to look at Canada that way, that he can just take the minerals, take the resources, take the water.

00:09:35.120 We've been talking about the water for years.

00:09:37.800 And we should just be thankful that he's doing so.

00:09:42.860 He's playing a game, of course.

00:09:44.500 But it's hurting Pierre Paulie and the Conservatives in this country, the longer he plays this game.

00:09:50.660 And it's helping Justin Trudeau and the Liberals and Mark Carney and all of the Canadian left.

00:09:58.920 And I hope he stops.

00:10:01.140 I have to say that at the beginning.

00:10:02.580 Because as much as I approve of what Donald Trump's been doing with all of these executive orders coming down on DEI,

00:10:09.440 coming down on gender-affirming care, demanding the release of the Epstein files,

00:10:19.760 coming out strong against regulation and taxation, all of these things are wonderful.

00:10:27.560 But goading Canada the way he is, is hurting this country.

00:10:32.580 And it's very bad news for this country.

00:10:36.140 And I wanted to leave the broadcast by saying this.

00:10:41.680 Now, what was Trudeau's reaction to all of this?

00:10:45.520 We are still in a situation here where we're going back into a COVID-like shell.

00:11:10.100 And we can see this happening.

00:11:12.260 And this is where the Liberals want us.

00:11:15.100 They want us back under the government hand, controlled.

00:11:20.340 And this is an uninformed mob that we're dealing with.

00:11:27.060 I can't put it any...

00:11:28.300 There's a mob mentality out there.

00:11:30.240 Let's get Trump.

00:11:31.440 Let's get the U.S. 1.00

00:11:33.100 Let's strike back.

00:11:34.820 And this is the same mentality that ruled during COVID.

00:11:41.160 And I can't say that enough.

00:11:43.200 On the lighter side for a second here, Ruby Dolla seems to be watching this broadcast. 0.97

00:11:51.760 Is she a stand-on-guard fan?

00:11:53.340 On the left is how we depicted Mark Carney.

00:11:58.680 On the right is how Ruby Dolla depicted Mark Carney, the coronation.

00:12:04.120 I find that incredible.

00:12:05.880 She's obviously got a good sense of humor.

00:12:08.680 So right on, Ruby. 0.90

00:12:10.840 Now, there's all kinds of talk now, Canada joining the EU, which would be a crazy idea.

00:12:18.880 Absolutely crazy.

00:12:21.340 And that's not something I think we can even take very seriously.

00:12:26.520 But Doug Ford has been asking a question.

00:12:35.280 Appoint the now.

00:12:36.460 Doug Ford is not happy with Justin Trudeau.

00:12:40.200 National Post reported Canada new fentanyls are will absolutely be appointed within 30 days,

00:12:46.420 says public safety minister.

00:12:49.140 Yeah.

00:12:49.700 So Trudeau, as we said in the beginning here,

00:12:52.760 he's having a great time in France at some...

00:12:56.520 artificial intelligence conference.

00:12:59.440 And Trudeau says,

00:13:00.560 AI's fine as long as it doesn't interfere with the fight against climate change.

00:13:04.740 What the hell?

00:13:06.600 Does this guy ever think about what he says? 0.62

00:13:09.980 But when Doug Ford is getting antsy about Justin Trudeau not appointing a fentanyl czar,

00:13:18.300 well, Doug Ford is one of Justin Trudeau's closest political allies.

00:13:24.420 He's definitely in the pocket.

00:13:26.520 Of Justin Trudeau.

00:13:28.660 And when Doug Ford gets worried,

00:13:30.540 well, I think we can all start to worry about something.

00:13:34.240 And to Prime Minister Trudeau,

00:13:37.300 where is the fentanyl czar?

00:13:39.740 It's been now five days, I believe,

00:13:42.380 and time is running out.

00:13:44.300 We can't be waiting till the last minute.

00:13:45.960 Please appoint a fentanyl czar.

00:13:48.560 Start showing the Americans what we are doing.

00:13:52.480 Show the Trump administration

00:13:53.760 that we have helicopters and fixed wing aircraft

00:13:57.940 and boots on the ground

00:13:59.020 and boats in the water

00:14:00.540 and ATVs up and down.

00:14:02.480 That's what Ontario is doing.

00:14:04.120 But we need to see action from the federal government.

00:14:07.680 Who's going to fight for you?

00:14:09.760 Now, why do we need to see action?

00:14:17.840 Not only because Donald Trump's demanding of it,

00:14:19.680 but because there is a fentanyl problem.

00:14:21.820 Winnipeg man arrested

00:14:22.720 in $50 million narcotics seizure.

00:14:27.900 That's not small potatoes, folks.

00:14:29.540 And Daniel Smith is saying the same thing as Doug Ford.

00:14:36.200 Where is Canada's fentanyl czar?

00:14:39.860 There's been a full week

00:14:41.060 since U.S. President Donald Trump

00:14:42.660 and the Canadian government

00:14:43.420 reached a border security agreement

00:14:44.840 that included a 30-day window

00:14:47.100 to demonstrate our nation's commitment

00:14:51.380 to securing our shared border

00:14:54.120 against fentanyl trafficking

00:14:55.580 and illegal migration.

00:14:59.540 What's happened since then?

00:15:01.240 This has been a week today.

00:15:02.280 Remember what happened a week ago today?

00:15:04.640 Justin Trudeau promised fentanyls are.

00:15:08.320 But he also promised,

00:15:09.740 remember those 10,000 frontline personnel?

00:15:14.020 Not going to happen.

00:15:15.840 Not going to happen.

00:15:17.580 I've been saying that for the last week.

00:15:20.920 When we saw the defense minister say

00:15:23.480 not going to come from the Canadian Armed Forces,

00:15:25.880 we had that same line repeated

00:15:29.740 by the public safety minister, David McGinty.

00:15:34.340 No, we're not going to militarize the border

00:15:37.500 with Canadian Armed Forces personnel.

00:15:42.500 He didn't even bother to fill in the obvious blank,

00:15:46.980 which is, okay, we're not going to use the military.

00:15:50.300 Then where do we go?

00:15:53.360 10,000 RCMP?

00:15:54.700 Haven't got them.

00:15:55.880 We couldn't do it anyway if we had them.

00:16:00.120 10,000 new CVSA agents?

00:16:03.480 No.

00:16:04.560 They can't even fill the ranks of the CVSA.

00:16:08.280 So if we ever arrive at a 10,000 number,

00:16:12.620 it's going to be an ad hoc organization

00:16:14.980 composed of various organizations,

00:16:20.620 various agencies.

00:16:22.080 Maybe one week we'll have some provincial police down there.

00:16:27.180 Maybe the next week we'll have a combination of CVSA

00:16:30.180 and RCMP.

00:16:33.740 But do you think it's ever going to reach 10,000?

00:16:35.960 No.

00:16:36.160 This was a horrendous lie from Justin Trudeau to get a temporary reprieve.

00:16:45.360 And he's done nothing in the last week to come follow through on the two major components

00:16:52.180 of his so-called border security plan.

00:16:54.600 He keeps talking about the $1.3 billion plan.

00:16:58.240 That doesn't mean anything because it's spread out over six years

00:17:02.700 and most of the money won't be spent until the years five and six.

00:17:07.580 Now that is beyond belief.

00:17:10.260 But that is the kind of government we have.

00:17:13.940 Now lots of folks are talking about,

00:17:17.800 well, you know,

00:17:19.260 what are we going to do

00:17:22.180 about joining the states?

00:17:29.440 Now look at this.

00:17:30.480 You announced tariffs.

00:17:32.240 Let's read this again.

00:17:34.160 73% say they're more likely to vote liberal because of Trump.

00:17:39.500 Now this is Frank Graves of ECOS

00:17:43.980 and I don't trust Frank Graves' polling.

00:17:47.460 But he says in new polling,

00:17:49.440 we find that 14% of voters say

00:17:52.420 they would be more likely

00:17:54.340 to vote for the CPC given election of Trump.

00:17:58.420 73% of voters say

00:18:00.000 they are now more likely to vote

00:18:02.160 liberal party of Canada

00:18:03.340 because of Donald Trump.

00:18:05.300 Now I don't put any faith

00:18:07.060 in this man's polling.

00:18:10.360 But it's nonetheless very interesting.

00:18:13.620 You announced tariffs on Canada and Mexico.

00:18:16.120 You immediately got action from both of them

00:18:17.820 on border security and drug interdiction.

00:18:19.780 I did.

00:18:20.340 A lot of action that nobody expected.

00:18:22.160 Is that good enough?

00:18:22.780 No, it's not good enough.

00:18:23.560 So more needed in 30 days.

00:18:25.840 Something has to happen.

00:18:27.040 It's not sustainable.

00:18:28.440 And I'm changing it.

00:18:29.600 You know,

00:18:29.860 the prime minister said this weekend

00:18:31.280 to a group of Canadian businessmen,

00:18:32.940 he was a private meeting.

00:18:34.080 He said that your wish for Canada

00:18:36.600 to be the 51st state

00:18:38.040 is a, quote,

00:18:38.840 real thing.

00:18:40.140 Is it a real thing?

00:18:41.600 Yeah, it is.

00:18:42.240 I think Canada would be much better

00:18:43.800 off being a 51st state

00:18:45.220 because we lose $200 billion a year

00:18:48.660 with Canada.

00:18:49.240 And I'm not going to let that happen.

00:18:50.740 All right.

00:18:52.300 Once again,

00:18:54.120 wherever he picked up

00:18:55.260 that $200 billion number,

00:18:56.900 I have no idea,

00:18:57.900 but it's completely fallacious.

00:19:00.680 The trade deficit

00:19:01.900 the Americans have with Canada

00:19:03.620 is nowhere near $200 billion.

00:19:05.840 It's about $95 billion.

00:19:07.520 And that includes the oil and gas.

00:19:10.000 Take the oil and gas out.

00:19:11.500 The U.S. has a trade surplus with Canada.

00:19:13.940 So we have to point the facts out.

00:19:16.720 Donald Trump keeps repeating

00:19:18.060 something that's not true.

00:19:19.100 I'm going to say it's not true.

00:19:21.420 It's too much.

00:19:21.960 Why are we paying $200 billion a year

00:19:24.860 essentially in subsidy to Canada?

00:19:26.540 Now, if they're a 51st state,

00:19:28.200 I don't mind doing it.

00:19:29.180 You said the tariff

00:19:30.180 is a beautiful word.

00:19:31.340 There are some signs

00:19:32.460 in the markets,

00:19:33.540 consumer confidence,

00:19:34.680 that they're a little jittery.

00:19:36.860 So if all goes to plan,

00:19:38.840 when do you think families

00:19:39.920 would be able to feel

00:19:40.820 prices going down,

00:19:42.360 groceries, energy?

00:19:43.480 Or are you kind of saying to them,

00:19:45.400 hang on,

00:19:46.340 inflation may get worse

00:19:47.700 until it gets better?

00:19:48.680 No, I think we're going to

00:19:49.780 become a rich...

00:19:51.180 Look, we're not that rich right now.

00:19:52.660 We owe $36 trillion.

00:19:54.340 That's because we let all these nations

00:19:55.920 take advantage of us.

00:19:57.980 Same thing,

00:19:58.620 like $200 billion with Canada.

00:20:00.500 We owe $300...

00:20:01.420 We have a deficit

00:20:02.340 with Mexico of $350 billion.

00:20:04.820 I'm not going to do that.

00:20:05.700 I'm not going to let that happen.

00:20:07.000 How does this align

00:20:08.000 with America first?

00:20:09.480 Because it makes us

00:20:10.520 bigger, stronger, and better.

00:20:12.520 Canada will see

00:20:13.320 what happens with Canada,

00:20:14.400 but the people of Canada

00:20:15.460 would be paying

00:20:16.100 less than half of the tax.

00:20:18.340 If you look at the tax,

00:20:19.520 they're going to be paying

00:20:20.080 less than half the tax.

00:20:22.020 You know,

00:20:22.360 they don't pay very much

00:20:23.220 for military.

00:20:24.100 And the reason

00:20:24.920 they don't pay much

00:20:25.760 is they assume

00:20:26.360 that we're going to protect them.

00:20:28.160 That's not an assumption

00:20:29.300 they can make,

00:20:30.120 because why are we

00:20:31.340 protecting another country?

00:20:32.640 Now, I love the people of Canada.

00:20:33.900 We have a great relationship.

00:20:35.980 But if they became

00:20:36.960 our 51st state,

00:20:38.320 it would be the greatest thing

00:20:39.660 they could ever do.

00:20:40.500 It would be unbelievable.

00:20:41.460 It would be a cherished state.

00:20:43.660 And think of how beautiful

00:20:44.800 that country would be

00:20:45.960 without that artificial line

00:20:47.960 running right through it.

00:20:49.300 Somebody drew it

00:20:50.120 many years ago

00:20:51.000 with a ruler,

00:20:51.720 just a line.

00:20:53.120 You look at how beautiful

00:20:54.260 that is, wow.

00:20:55.400 It would be very exciting.

00:20:56.820 But if you look at Canada,

00:20:58.740 it would be cherished

00:20:59.760 as a 51st state.

00:21:01.560 They don't pay their share

00:21:02.880 of military and NATO.

00:21:03.960 They pay very little

00:21:05.400 for military.

00:21:06.540 They're not protected at all.

00:21:08.460 And the reason is

00:21:09.300 they think we're going

00:21:09.920 to protect them.

00:21:11.140 The other thing is

00:21:12.300 we subsidize them

00:21:13.540 to the turn of about

00:21:14.600 $200 billion a year.

00:21:17.580 If we stop doing that,

00:21:18.860 if we stop allowing them

00:21:20.500 to make cars

00:21:21.200 through tariffs

00:21:21.800 and other things,

00:21:22.920 cars, trucks, etc.,

00:21:24.140 what they make,

00:21:25.440 they're not viable

00:21:26.740 as a country.

00:21:28.060 So we're making

00:21:28.700 our country larger.

00:21:30.360 We're making

00:21:30.840 our country stronger.

00:21:31.980 And in the case of Canada,

00:21:34.560 if this should happen,

00:21:35.820 I don't know how

00:21:36.360 they can do it without us.

00:21:37.940 Because without the U.S., 0.89

00:21:39.820 Canada really doesn't

00:21:40.940 have a country.

00:21:41.940 They do almost all

00:21:43.060 of their business with us.

00:21:44.880 And if we say

00:21:45.600 we want our cars

00:21:46.520 to be made in Detroit,

00:21:48.340 with a stroke of a pen,

00:21:49.740 I can do that.

00:21:51.020 And other things,

00:21:53.260 in addition to that,

00:21:54.260 would not allow Canada

00:21:56.180 to be a viable country.

00:22:02.640 Well, I don't know

00:22:04.820 where he gets

00:22:05.440 the $200 billion figure.

00:22:08.600 And it's not a subsidy.

00:22:10.740 It's called a trade deficit.

00:22:14.140 But is the choice

00:22:15.560 for Canadians

00:22:16.480 going to be

00:22:17.260 between becoming

00:22:19.680 the 51st state

00:22:20.780 or having

00:22:22.700 endless

00:22:23.340 liberal governments?

00:22:25.760 Well,

00:22:26.920 Justin Trudeau

00:22:27.760 and Donald Trump

00:22:28.440 seem to be

00:22:28.920 working together

00:22:29.840 for that

00:22:30.820 eventuality

00:22:33.160 to happen.

00:22:34.440 There is a third option,

00:22:37.060 which we almost had

00:22:38.900 if we, 0.99

00:22:40.220 damn it, 0.98

00:22:40.980 if Jagmeet Singh 0.99

00:22:41.860 had had any

00:22:42.840 gumption

00:22:43.480 or gall

00:22:44.520 or courage

00:22:46.660 to bring down

00:22:48.500 the Trudeau government

00:22:49.420 before the

00:22:50.660 prorogation occurred,

00:22:52.320 we would

00:22:53.860 be having

00:22:54.920 an election

00:22:55.700 right now.

00:22:58.440 And we would be

00:22:59.920 having a different

00:23:01.140 government

00:23:01.820 poised to take power.

00:23:05.420 Now,

00:23:06.340 we are in

00:23:07.440 a state

00:23:08.020 of flux.

00:23:09.600 We are in a state

00:23:10.800 of total

00:23:12.120 confusion.

00:23:14.380 And nothing

00:23:15.080 is as simple

00:23:16.160 or as direct

00:23:18.160 as it was

00:23:19.720 only a couple

00:23:20.600 of months ago.

00:23:22.620 We missed

00:23:23.700 an opportunity

00:23:24.600 to bring down

00:23:26.600 this liberal government

00:23:27.400 under Justin Trudeau

00:23:28.840 and replace it

00:23:30.040 quickly.

00:23:31.280 So now

00:23:32.020 we're going

00:23:32.540 through this

00:23:33.000 endless cycle

00:23:33.920 of this

00:23:35.780 war of words,

00:23:37.320 this

00:23:37.400 constant threat

00:23:39.540 of a

00:23:42.760 tariff

00:23:43.580 that will

00:23:43.900 affect

00:23:44.260 all

00:23:44.840 Canadian

00:23:45.520 products

00:23:46.080 constant

00:23:47.380 suggestion

00:23:48.080 that we

00:23:48.500 should

00:23:48.680 become

00:23:49.000 the

00:23:49.180 51st

00:23:49.820 state

00:23:50.200 and

00:23:51.660 it

00:23:51.820 could

00:23:52.160 have

00:23:52.460 been

00:23:52.660 otherwise.

00:23:54.020 This is why

00:23:54.780 we have to

00:23:55.620 act wisely

00:23:56.700 right now.

00:23:58.600 And why?

00:23:59.580 I'm saying

00:24:00.060 there is

00:24:01.420 a third

00:24:02.140 option

00:24:03.640 and we

00:24:04.100 don't have

00:24:04.560 to become

00:24:05.020 a 51st

00:24:05.720 state

00:24:05.980 and we

00:24:06.900 don't have

00:24:07.380 to have

00:24:07.760 endless

00:24:08.220 liberal

00:24:08.680 governments.

00:24:09.320 we can

00:24:10.560 still have

00:24:11.180 a Canadian

00:24:11.720 democracy

00:24:12.360 that works.

00:24:14.340 But we've

00:24:14.840 got to

00:24:15.420 move forward

00:24:16.160 now

00:24:17.260 and have

00:24:18.260 new

00:24:18.780 elections

00:24:19.340 as quickly

00:24:20.040 as possible.

00:24:21.560 I don't

00:24:22.180 know

00:24:22.480 if Donald

00:24:23.960 Trump wants

00:24:24.640 to take

00:24:25.020 over

00:24:25.360 Canada.

00:24:28.060 I don't

00:24:28.840 know if he

00:24:29.120 wants to

00:24:29.520 buy Canada.

00:24:31.260 I don't

00:24:32.040 know any

00:24:32.540 more than

00:24:32.940 I don't

00:24:33.400 know if he

00:24:33.820 wants to

00:24:34.220 really take

00:24:34.700 over Gaza.

00:24:35.420 but I do

00:24:37.160 know we

00:24:38.220 can do

00:24:38.500 better in

00:24:39.520 this country.

00:24:41.460 In your

00:24:42.540 book you

00:24:43.140 enlisted an

00:24:43.840 investment

00:24:44.360 banker to

00:24:45.180 come up

00:24:45.660 with

00:24:46.100 essentially

00:24:46.660 how much

00:24:47.500 Canada

00:24:47.940 would be

00:24:48.620 worth.

00:24:49.660 What is

00:24:50.180 the price

00:24:50.680 tag number

00:24:51.320 on that?

00:24:53.020 Well we

00:24:53.400 did what we

00:24:53.980 did was we

00:24:54.500 went to the

00:24:54.920 CIA World

00:24:56.040 Factbook which

00:24:56.940 has the

00:24:57.400 figures estimated

00:24:58.540 figures of

00:24:59.360 the value of

00:25:00.420 the assets of

00:25:01.120 every country

00:25:01.740 in the world.

00:25:02.440 So that was

00:25:02.900 what we

00:25:03.220 based it on.

00:25:04.380 And we

00:25:04.760 looked at

00:25:05.180 natural

00:25:05.560 resources such

00:25:06.720 as forestry,

00:25:08.020 water,

00:25:09.040 naturally

00:25:09.800 metals,

00:25:10.940 minerals,

00:25:12.220 fossil fuels,

00:25:13.840 we looked at

00:25:14.540 arable farmland,

00:25:16.300 we looked at

00:25:16.780 all of the

00:25:17.360 things, the

00:25:17.840 natural resource

00:25:18.900 endowment of

00:25:20.300 the two

00:25:20.640 countries and

00:25:21.820 Canada came 0.87

00:25:22.540 out $17

00:25:23.300 trillion higher

00:25:24.720 which worked

00:25:25.440 out to $500,000

00:25:26.940 US for

00:25:28.480 every man,

00:25:29.240 woman and

00:25:29.660 child in

00:25:30.240 Canada for

00:25:31.300 our over

00:25:32.020 contribution of

00:25:33.100 assets to

00:25:33.820 this merger.

00:25:34.560 and that's

00:25:36.420 the facts.

00:25:37.260 I mean that's

00:25:38.120 not made up

00:25:39.040 and nobody's

00:25:40.080 ever kind of

00:25:40.640 put their

00:25:41.220 number on

00:25:41.800 it.

00:25:42.240 I'm also

00:25:42.740 however very

00:25:43.480 concerned that

00:25:44.200 Mark Carney

00:25:44.800 would pull

00:25:45.300 another Trudeau

00:25:46.180 and that is a

00:25:47.220 good looking guy

00:25:48.040 with no

00:25:48.540 credentials and

00:25:49.320 no business

00:25:49.940 experience telling

00:25:51.480 us what he

00:25:52.040 wants to hear

00:25:52.740 and once he

00:25:53.260 gets in he's

00:25:53.800 a left wing 1.00

00:25:54.480 loser. 0.99

00:25:55.760 That's what 1.00

00:25:56.260 I'm worried

00:25:56.640 about.

00:25:57.600 Diane Francis

00:25:58.460 is not

00:25:59.200 mixing her

00:26:00.020 words ever.

00:26:01.100 That's all

00:26:01.380 the time we

00:26:01.800 have but thank

00:26:02.380 you both so

00:26:02.920 much for

00:26:03.220 joining us

00:26:03.600 today.

00:26:05.200 Yeah that

00:26:05.920 that was a

00:26:06.660 classic moment.

00:26:07.800 I haven't seen

00:26:08.200 Diane in quite a 0.95

00:26:08.940 few years and

00:26:09.540 we're all

00:26:10.760 we're all

00:26:11.280 getting older.

00:26:12.780 Wonderful

00:26:13.220 synopsis

00:26:14.320 though but of

00:26:14.660 course don't

00:26:15.280 think for a

00:26:15.920 minute you're

00:26:16.340 we're all

00:26:17.020 going to get

00:26:17.620 that money

00:26:19.280 that every

00:26:20.640 individual

00:26:21.160 Canadian is

00:26:21.900 going to be

00:26:22.180 parceled out

00:26:22.900 that nice

00:26:24.780 sum of money.

00:26:26.320 Not going to

00:26:26.980 happen any

00:26:28.760 more than

00:26:29.200 when the

00:26:29.460 United States

00:26:30.140 bought Alaska.

00:26:31.320 Do you think

00:26:31.700 the people

00:26:32.360 living in

00:26:32.900 Alaska got

00:26:34.200 anything out

00:26:34.940 of it?

00:26:35.180 No they

00:26:35.460 didn't.

00:26:35.960 So that's

00:26:36.320 not that's

00:26:37.580 not going to

00:26:38.140 happen.

00:26:38.580 A lot of

00:26:38.980 people out

00:26:39.320 there saying

00:26:39.680 oh yeah I

00:26:40.120 want my

00:26:40.500 million bucks

00:26:41.240 let's join

00:26:42.740 the United

00:26:43.120 States.

00:26:44.120 You're not

00:26:44.560 going to get

00:26:45.080 a million bucks.

00:26:46.480 You're not

00:26:47.120 going to get

00:26:47.640 a million bucks.

00:26:48.400 That will

00:26:48.700 probably be

00:26:49.560 used to pay

00:26:50.960 down the

00:26:52.060 massive debt

00:26:53.080 in this

00:26:54.580 country before

00:26:55.660 it ever

00:26:56.580 joined the

00:26:57.420 United States

00:26:58.180 but that's

00:26:59.240 the reality

00:26:59.740 of this.

00:27:00.620 Now I've

00:27:00.880 saved this

00:27:01.380 little bit

00:27:02.040 here towards

00:27:03.180 the end

00:27:03.680 because I

00:27:05.400 love to see

00:27:05.960 Rosemary

00:27:06.440 Barton of

00:27:07.020 CBC totally

00:27:08.180 decimated

00:27:09.040 and upended

00:27:11.560 and it's

00:27:13.120 quite obvious

00:27:13.720 that Rosemary

00:27:14.360 Barton doesn't

00:27:15.100 just like

00:27:15.700 Melanie Jolie

00:27:16.600 rolled her

00:27:17.280 eyes when a

00:27:18.680 reporter asked

00:27:19.260 a question

00:27:19.700 about the

00:27:20.160 fentanyl

00:27:20.660 crisis in

00:27:21.480 Canada.

00:27:22.520 No.

00:27:23.360 What fentanyl

00:27:24.260 crisis?

00:27:25.500 Well listen to

00:27:26.060 this.

00:27:26.220 I'm not going

00:27:26.440 to play

00:27:26.620 the whole

00:27:27.080 clip here

00:27:27.700 but listen

00:27:28.720 to how

00:27:29.220 Rosemary

00:27:30.020 Barton gets

00:27:30.640 taken down

00:27:31.280 five notches

00:27:32.200 and she

00:27:35.460 gets to

00:27:35.860 understand that

00:27:36.720 yeah we've

00:27:37.200 got a drug

00:27:37.920 crisis in

00:27:38.960 Canada.

00:27:39.400 One of the

00:27:39.740 things that

00:27:40.180 we have

00:27:40.620 pointed to

00:27:41.320 a lot over

00:27:41.920 the past

00:27:42.320 couple of

00:27:42.740 weeks when

00:27:43.300 responding to

00:27:44.280 the president

00:27:44.800 is the

00:27:45.220 amount of

00:27:45.680 fentanyl

00:27:46.080 that crosses

00:27:46.640 from Canada

00:27:48.200 to the

00:27:48.820 US which

00:27:49.300 is as you

00:27:50.100 know very

00:27:50.400 small.

00:27:50.900 It was 43

00:27:51.580 pounds was

00:27:52.660 seized at

00:27:53.160 that border

00:27:53.780 but I

00:27:55.460 understand you

00:27:56.000 think that

00:27:56.440 that is not

00:27:57.120 sort of

00:27:57.560 something that

00:27:58.160 we should be

00:27:58.620 focusing on

00:27:59.240 the fact that

00:27:59.700 it's a small

00:28:00.220 amount particularly

00:28:01.120 compared to

00:28:02.440 Mexico.

00:28:03.180 Give me your

00:28:03.700 thoughts.

00:28:04.920 Well several

00:28:06.260 months ago you

00:28:07.000 had the biggest

00:28:07.580 lab in the

00:28:08.380 history of the

00:28:09.140 world

00:28:09.480 you know

00:28:12.100 taken over by

00:28:13.340 the Royal

00:28:14.200 Canadian

00:28:14.640 Mountain

00:28:15.520 Police in

00:28:16.340 Vancouver.

00:28:17.140 I mean we

00:28:19.140 never even

00:28:19.620 seen anything

00:28:20.200 like this

00:28:20.620 made Breaking

00:28:21.120 Bad look

00:28:21.660 like you

00:28:22.160 know minor

00:28:22.620 league.

00:28:24.160 Okay so

00:28:24.540 that you

00:28:24.920 know and

00:28:25.360 definitely

00:28:25.940 there was

00:28:26.480 Chinese

00:28:26.920 organized

00:28:27.800 crime

00:28:28.400 possibly

00:28:29.720 Iran as

00:28:30.520 well.

00:28:31.920 You know

00:28:32.160 the facts

00:28:32.660 have not

00:28:33.080 been released

00:28:33.620 by your

00:28:33.960 government.

00:28:34.620 It's sort

00:28:35.320 of astonishing

00:28:35.940 that they

00:28:36.300 haven't provided

00:28:37.000 more information

00:28:37.720 publicly but

00:28:39.100 I think they

00:28:40.140 know they're

00:28:40.500 sitting on a

00:28:41.000 big scandal

00:28:41.640 here.

00:28:42.960 The fact

00:28:43.480 that this

00:28:43.800 thing emerged

00:28:44.600 and it's

00:28:45.080 tied to these

00:28:45.640 biker gangs 0.98

00:28:46.460 who've been

00:28:47.880 hired to go

00:28:48.980 down to the

00:28:49.500 United States

00:28:50.020 in some

00:28:50.360 cases and

00:28:50.860 assassinate 0.98

00:28:51.400 people like

00:28:51.940 you know my

00:28:52.540 former boss

00:28:53.060 secretary Mike

00:28:53.600 Pompeo,

00:28:54.900 President Trump

00:28:55.560 and others

00:28:55.980 is you know

00:28:56.500 this is another

00:28:57.500 whole level

00:28:58.340 of scandal

00:28:58.880 involving it.

00:28:59.900 But the key

00:29:00.320 thing to focus

00:29:01.480 on is that

00:29:02.340 you know someone

00:29:03.600 was making

00:29:04.140 over 100

00:29:05.160 million doses

00:29:05.880 of deadly

00:29:07.020 fentanyl

00:29:07.920 that you

00:29:09.280 didn't know

00:29:09.640 about right

00:29:10.660 under your

00:29:11.000 nose.

00:29:11.440 Now how many

00:29:11.820 other labs do

00:29:12.500 you think you

00:29:12.840 have going?

00:29:13.460 And you know

00:29:14.020 let me put

00:29:15.020 one last thing.

00:29:16.460 There's very

00:29:17.040 little border

00:29:17.900 enforcement.

00:29:18.680 So we don't

00:29:19.040 42 kilograms

00:29:20.120 it's a

00:29:21.420 nonsensical

00:29:22.160 number.

00:29:23.020 We don't

00:29:23.260 have most

00:29:24.180 of the drugs

00:29:24.840 are going

00:29:25.200 from Mexico

00:29:26.240 to Canada

00:29:27.860 and then being

00:29:28.480 brought south

00:29:29.280 into the

00:29:30.380 northwest United

00:29:31.120 States on

00:29:32.060 ships.

00:29:33.460 Now I'll get

00:29:34.340 back to this

00:29:35.340 in a second.

00:29:35.800 You think we

00:29:36.140 have a problem

00:29:36.680 here?

00:29:37.440 You think maybe

00:29:38.140 we're only finding

00:29:39.020 that much

00:29:39.440 fentanyl at the

00:29:40.000 border because

00:29:40.480 the CBSA is

00:29:42.440 only inspecting

00:29:43.260 1% of the

00:29:46.300 shipments.

00:29:46.940 You think that

00:29:47.400 might have

00:29:47.740 something to

00:29:48.160 do with it?

00:29:49.000 Very possibly.

00:29:51.180 But here is

00:29:52.360 this guy

00:29:52.840 explaining we've

00:29:55.000 got super

00:29:56.100 labs in

00:29:58.400 Canada producing

00:30:00.680 this material.

00:30:01.480 You have almost

00:30:02.280 no port

00:30:03.660 enforcement with

00:30:05.480 police so we

00:30:06.280 have no idea

00:30:07.220 except from our

00:30:08.340 sources what's

00:30:09.420 going on and

00:30:10.080 we hear some

00:30:10.600 bad things.

00:30:12.080 I will say

00:30:12.760 they did find

00:30:13.840 the super lab.

00:30:14.600 I take your

00:30:15.120 point it was

00:30:15.680 under their

00:30:16.040 nose but there

00:30:16.900 was police work

00:30:17.960 done in order

00:30:19.040 to find it

00:30:19.900 uncover it and

00:30:20.540 charge the

00:30:20.940 people responsible

00:30:21.720 so that is a

00:30:23.260 positive piece.

00:30:24.680 I take your

00:30:25.340 point though that

00:30:25.960 there could be

00:30:26.580 more.

00:30:27.380 So tell me what

00:30:28.560 more you think

00:30:29.480 needs to be done

00:30:30.460 to deal with some

00:30:31.280 of the things

00:30:31.660 you're talking

00:30:32.020 about as well

00:30:32.900 as the czar.

00:30:34.140 They've increased

00:30:35.180 surveillance at the

00:30:36.940 border.

00:30:37.460 They are going to

00:30:38.060 crack down on 0.95

00:30:38.820 Mexican cartels.

00:30:39.780 I talked to the

00:30:40.660 RCMP commissioner

00:30:41.460 about that and

00:30:42.340 there is more

00:30:43.240 shared intelligence

00:30:44.060 that's going to

00:30:44.600 happen between

00:30:45.160 Canada and the

00:30:45.960 U.S.

00:30:46.420 What else would

00:30:47.620 be helpful in

00:30:48.480 this instance

00:30:49.060 then?

00:30:49.880 Let me first

00:30:50.540 stress the RCMP

00:30:51.620 is an excellent

00:30:52.380 organization.

00:30:53.340 You've got very

00:30:54.040 good police in

00:30:54.700 your country.

00:30:56.120 You've got a

00:30:56.700 great CSI

00:30:58.540 intelligence

00:31:00.300 organization.

00:31:01.820 It is a

00:31:02.420 first rate as

00:31:03.080 well.

00:31:03.700 Your problem

00:31:04.380 is your laws.

00:31:06.700 It's the

00:31:07.220 Stinchcomb law

00:31:08.380 which I'm not

00:31:09.160 the world's

00:31:10.380 expert on

00:31:10.940 but basically

00:31:11.940 every time we

00:31:12.540 try to go up

00:31:13.040 on a phone

00:31:13.460 number in

00:31:14.160 Canada and

00:31:14.700 almost all the

00:31:15.380 money laundering

00:31:15.940 networks tied to

00:31:16.800 China which is 0.96

00:31:17.500 about 90% of

00:31:18.540 all money laundering

00:31:19.260 in the United

00:31:20.580 States is tied

00:31:22.080 to Canada.

00:31:22.900 So when we try

00:31:23.500 to go up on

00:31:23.920 those numbers

00:31:24.500 with your police

00:31:25.360 they have to

00:31:26.100 inform the

00:31:27.040 person that we're

00:31:27.800 targeting that

00:31:28.820 we're targeting

00:31:29.580 their number.

00:31:30.600 That's crazy.

00:31:31.620 How can we run

00:31:32.120 an undercover

00:31:32.520 police operation

00:31:33.460 with your

00:31:33.920 country?

00:31:34.580 Which is why

00:31:35.100 we don't run

00:31:35.780 them.

00:31:35.920 which is why

00:31:36.460 the seizure

00:31:36.920 statistics are

00:31:37.640 so low because

00:31:38.660 we don't even

00:31:39.160 try to work

00:31:40.620 with Canada

00:31:41.140 because your

00:31:41.840 laws are

00:31:42.620 abbreviated and

00:31:44.280 distorted.

00:31:46.380 And I think

00:31:47.440 this is an issue

00:31:48.340 that goes back

00:31:49.180 in Canadian

00:31:49.720 history a long

00:31:50.560 time.

00:31:52.120 You need to

00:31:52.680 update your

00:31:53.240 legal structures

00:31:54.280 and if you do

00:31:55.940 and create a

00:31:56.960 racketeering

00:31:57.400 influence corrupt

00:31:58.140 organizations act

00:31:59.260 RICO like we

00:32:00.060 have in the United

00:32:00.560 States and

00:32:01.920 designate them as

00:32:02.700 terrorists which

00:32:03.200 you're going to do

00:32:03.840 I think we'll

00:32:04.840 solve a lot of

00:32:05.480 these problems.

00:32:06.140 I think tariffs

00:32:06.700 will come off

00:32:07.360 and we'll be

00:32:08.420 in an excellent

00:32:09.620 mission to be

00:32:10.420 partners to stop

00:32:11.580 this stuff from

00:32:12.420 terrorizing our

00:32:13.300 country.

00:32:13.760 I mean our

00:32:14.420 countries are

00:32:14.900 getting killed

00:32:15.360 by fentanyl.

00:32:16.260 We've got to

00:32:16.560 protect ourselves.

00:32:17.640 So I just

00:32:18.420 want to end on

00:32:18.920 this.

00:32:19.260 You just said

00:32:20.000 if we do

00:32:20.380 these things

00:32:20.920 the tariffs

00:32:21.440 won't, well

00:32:22.300 they're not on

00:32:23.000 but they won't

00:32:23.520 go on.

00:32:24.240 I mean do you

00:32:24.760 believe that this

00:32:25.900 is about fentanyl

00:32:27.120 for the president

00:32:27.920 or that it's

00:32:28.560 about other things?

00:32:29.620 This is just

00:32:30.060 one of the pieces

00:32:30.960 that he is using

00:32:32.720 as leverage

00:32:33.580 here.

00:32:34.580 Well I take

00:32:35.240 him literally

00:32:36.120 and I think

00:32:37.060 literally he says

00:32:38.380 this about fentanyl

00:32:39.180 and I think it

00:32:39.760 is.

00:32:40.300 I mean we're

00:32:41.920 losing you know

00:32:42.760 80 to 100

00:32:43.420 thousand people

00:32:44.300 in North America

00:32:45.180 between the U.S.

00:32:45.840 and Canada.

00:32:46.580 We've got to

00:32:47.120 stop this nonsense.

00:32:48.220 We've got to

00:32:48.520 target these 0.99

00:32:48.920 Mexican cartels.

00:32:50.040 We need to

00:32:50.560 focus on their

00:32:51.380 money.

00:32:52.080 So the key

00:32:52.540 thing is to

00:32:53.040 target the banks

00:32:53.860 that are behind

00:32:54.380 it.

00:32:54.580 And of course

00:32:54.880 you can't

00:32:55.580 anyway I'll

00:32:57.160 leave it at

00:32:57.520 that but

00:32:58.000 Rosemary Barton

00:32:58.960 taking down

00:32:59.580 15 notches

00:33:00.580 in that interview.

00:33:01.800 She had no

00:33:02.960 idea what

00:33:04.220 the real

00:33:04.700 problem was

00:33:05.380 just like

00:33:05.860 Melanie Jolie

00:33:06.580 or foreign

00:33:08.380 affairs or

00:33:09.060 global affairs

00:33:09.840 whatever the

00:33:10.280 hell they want

00:33:10.700 to call that

00:33:11.220 office now

00:33:11.840 has no idea

00:33:12.700 either.

00:33:13.800 And I think

00:33:14.120 Justin Trudeau

00:33:14.780 does although

00:33:15.360 I think he

00:33:15.760 has some

00:33:16.040 affinity for

00:33:16.640 drugs.

00:33:17.800 That is an

00:33:18.520 incredible

00:33:19.060 interview.

00:33:20.080 There is an

00:33:20.900 issue.

00:33:21.260 There is a

00:33:21.600 fentanyl issue.

00:33:22.260 We don't have

00:33:22.680 a fentanyl

00:33:23.160 czar.

00:33:23.660 There's not

00:33:24.120 even been

00:33:24.880 a suggestion

00:33:26.080 yet about

00:33:27.240 who that

00:33:27.640 fentanyl czar

00:33:28.280 should be.

00:33:30.540 You know

00:33:31.160 what I heard

00:33:31.560 the other day?

00:33:32.060 Brenda Luckey

00:33:32.940 former RCMP

00:33:34.860 commissioner.

00:33:35.780 Remember how

00:33:36.860 much she

00:33:37.540 always liked

00:33:39.060 to agree

00:33:39.580 with Justin

00:33:40.220 Trudeau and

00:33:40.800 promote liberal

00:33:41.540 policy especially

00:33:42.520 with regards to

00:33:43.340 gun control?

00:33:44.840 That would be

00:33:45.960 a grievous

00:33:46.560 error.

00:33:48.100 But we

00:33:49.420 haven't heard

00:33:49.900 any suggestions

00:33:50.680 at all.

00:33:52.120 I'll be back

00:33:52.760 in a minute

00:33:53.840 with some

00:33:54.640 concluding

00:33:55.120 remarks.

00:33:57.240 Thank you.

00:34:27.240 Thank you

00:34:30.100 for watching

00:34:30.600 today folks.

00:34:31.900 I'll be back

00:34:32.460 again tomorrow.

00:34:33.580 Let's continue

00:34:34.200 to resolve

00:34:34.980 to resist

00:34:35.540 and we

00:34:35.900 need to

00:34:37.900 fight back

00:34:38.980 against this

00:34:40.400 mob mentality

00:34:42.080 that we can

00:34:43.380 just lash

00:34:44.020 out and expect

00:34:44.900 to get good

00:34:45.620 results.

00:34:47.800 I encourage

00:34:49.080 everybody to

00:34:50.300 attend this

00:34:50.840 rally on

00:34:51.540 Saturday,

00:34:52.380 February 15th

00:34:53.740 because we

00:34:55.120 need an

00:34:55.680 alternative

00:34:56.260 not only

00:34:58.020 to the

00:34:58.360 liberals

00:34:58.660 but to

00:34:59.440 becoming

00:34:59.900 the 51st

00:35:00.720 state

00:35:00.960 tomorrow

00:35:01.400 or next

00:35:02.720 week.

00:35:03.000 We need

00:35:04.080 an

00:35:04.680 irrational

00:35:06.240 conservative

00:35:07.760 small c

00:35:09.560 conservative

00:35:10.500 small l

00:35:11.400 libertarian

00:35:12.160 response.

00:35:12.820 thanks for

00:35:13.220 watching.

00:35:14.780 I'll be

00:35:15.440 back again

00:35:15.900 tomorrow

00:35:16.220 with all

00:35:16.620 the news

00:35:17.140 you need

00:35:17.620 to know.
