00:00:25.000 Welcome to the show.
00:00:26.000 We've got some fantastic stuff coming up.
00:00:28.000 But first of all, Derek Asher, skateboarding barber.
00:00:32.000 Derek, thanks for watching this.
00:00:34.000 You can see Stay Free with Russell Brand wherever Rumble is available.
00:00:38.000 But eventually you've got to come on Rumble, babies, particularly if you're interested in free speech.
00:00:42.000 Now, Derek, you are a skateboarding barber.
00:00:44.000 There's no other way of describing it.
00:00:47.000 Correct.
00:00:48.000 Well, you can't skateboard while you're barbering me, it's too dangerous.
00:00:51.000 But will you simply barber me in a sedentary way?
00:00:55.000 I will barber you so hard right now. 1.00
00:00:57.000 Don't you barber! 0.95
00:00:58.000 I hereby officially grant my consent for you to barber me to within an inch of my life.
00:01:03.000 I got you. 1.00
00:01:04.000 Get barbering, baby. 1.00
00:01:05.000 Let's do it.
00:01:05.000 Okay, so tell me, how long have you been a barber?
00:01:09.000 Seven years.
00:01:10.000 Seven years of barbering?
00:01:11.000 Yes.
00:01:12.000 And one thing I will tell you is I don't like being itchy.
00:01:15.000 Yeah, we got a cape for you, so you're going to keep all the hair off you.
00:01:18.000 Okay.
00:01:19.000 Well, dress me up then.
00:01:19.000 There's going to be a bit where you're behind me, I presume.
00:01:21.000 Now, don't take advantage.
00:01:22.000 That's what I will say, Derek.
00:01:24.000 What are y'all going to do?
00:01:25.000 Just a beard?
00:01:26.000 Yeah, just a beard.
00:01:27.000 Yeah, yeah, I don't want a haircut like live on the air.
00:01:29.000 I'm just making sure it could go crazy.
00:01:31.000 I'm a Nazarene.
00:01:32.000 I keep that stuff.
00:01:33.000 I've got all sorts of power tied up in my hair.
00:01:37.000 Yeah, thank you.
00:01:37.000 Thank you.
00:01:38.000 Yeah, nice one, mate.
00:01:40.000 All right, so you give me a little bit of a trim.
00:01:41.000 Now, while you're doing this, mate, are you like me in recovery?
00:01:46.000 I am.
00:01:46.000 I went to Victory Outreach Rehab in California.
00:01:49.000 And before you were doing that, I'm trying to pick my hair up at the wrong time.
00:01:53.000 Before you were doing that, before you were at Victory Outreach in California, what were you doing then?
00:01:58.000 Smoking crack and.
00:02:00.000 Doing ecstasy and coke and anything you could think I would do.
00:02:04.000 So, but you've not been doing that prior to doing my any of my Barbary, right?
00:02:09.000 No, no, not today.
00:02:10.000 I just want a pretty much a crack free beard trim.
00:02:14.000 I got you.
00:02:14.000 I got you.
00:02:15.000 It's been a while.
00:02:16.000 Well, what I will say is you've done that cape up so hard on my throat, the corroid artery is shutting down.
00:02:22.000 I mean, I feel like I'm getting woozy already.
00:02:24.000 Bring out the kangaroo.
00:02:25.000 Could still be because Timothy's in my eye line.
00:02:29.000 I actually watch Timothy all the time.
00:02:31.000 He's great.
00:02:31.000 What's he got a TV show already?
00:02:33.000 Oh, he's on everybody's podcast.
00:02:34.000 He always talks about ancient aliens and giants.
00:02:36.000 I'm a huge fan.
00:02:37.000 He's pretty great, isn't he?
00:02:38.000 You'll have to watch that episode.
00:02:39.000 There's a link in the description to that if you want to watch that now.
00:02:41.000 So, mate, what are you doing?
00:02:44.000 What's going on now?
00:02:45.000 I've got to put my specs on, huh?
00:02:47.000 Yeah, get your specs on.
00:02:48.000 And what you just did there, that was a British accent, was it?
00:02:51.000 Maybe. 0.82
00:02:52.000 It was a hate crime, is what it was.
00:02:55.000 Right now, where's my beloved friend Christy?
00:02:57.000 Because then Christy, I always feel comfortable when she's nearby.
00:03:01.000 Now, Christy, will you come by here and.
00:03:04.000 Me and Jacob are working on a loose impression of Christy, aren't we?
00:03:08.000 Oh, yeah, it's good.
00:03:09.000 Please welcome back Christy and Astes straight out of Bethlehem. 0.54
00:03:14.000 She's Palestinian, she's Christian, she's got it all.
00:03:17.000 Here, please, thanks very much for joining us again.
00:03:20.000 No, it's my pleasure.
00:03:21.000 Now, while I'm getting trimmed up here by a crackhead barber, would you mind.
00:03:25.000 What's going on now?
00:03:27.000 Oh, that's the wrong one.
00:03:29.000 You're toying with my emotions.
00:03:31.000 Like a cat toys with a mouse.
00:03:32.000 You're toying with me.
00:03:34.000 He's toying with me, isn't he?
00:03:36.000 We remember your microphone, Christy.
00:03:37.000 Yes, sir.
00:03:38.000 Keep alert.
00:03:39.000 Now, what's this in your back pocket?
00:03:40.000 What's going on? 1.00
00:03:41.000 In my country, that's a sign among the gay community. 1.00
00:03:44.000 It keeps my hands clean. 1.00
00:03:46.000 Well, it's making mine dirty.
00:03:49.000 I'm going to give us a trim then. 0.69
00:03:52.000 Hold on.
00:03:53.000 Oh, that's quite nice.
00:03:55.000 By the way, you've not asked what I want or anything.
00:03:57.000 You're just going with your instincts. 0.65
00:04:00.000 I don't want to look next time I look in the mirror to see a swastika shaved in it or something.
00:04:04.000 Don't be scared.
00:04:07.000 It's an interesting item that we're doing here, Derek.
00:04:09.000 So, have you got a vision for this beard?
00:04:13.000 I do.
00:04:13.000 I want to compliment your face shape.
00:04:16.000 Thank you very much.
00:04:17.000 Well, how about you compliment my face shape right now?
00:04:20.000 Just say, I like your face shape.
00:04:21.000 I like your face shape.
00:04:22.000 Yeah, go on then. 1.00
00:04:24.000 Fire away, darling. 0.99
00:04:25.000 Yeah, let's do your stash.
00:04:28.000 It's a sweet little stash.
00:04:29.000 Oh, don't do the bit that's in my mouth.
00:04:31.000 It's a sweet little stash.
00:04:35.000 Oh, yeah.
00:04:36.000 That looks good.
00:04:37.000 The problem is, obviously, it does impede my ability to communicate somewhat.
00:04:41.000 But that side's done.
00:04:43.000 You've done that one.
00:04:44.000 You're going to go around it.
00:04:45.000 Excuse me.
00:04:46.000 Derek's also a rapper. 0.91
00:04:48.000 Bloody hell.
00:04:50.000 This video, you saw that video?
00:04:51.000 He can't hold a microphone while he's barbering.
00:04:53.000 I'll tell you that.
00:04:54.000 So, whatever it is.
00:04:55.000 I'm a.
00:04:57.000 I do different stuff all the time.
00:04:58.000 Do you?
00:04:59.000 I do.
00:05:02.000 Oh, that's nice.
00:05:02.000 It's a good sound.
00:05:04.000 Ow!
00:05:05.000 That really hurt, Derek.
00:05:08.000 You'll be alright.
00:05:09.000 You'll be alright, Doug.
00:05:11.000 I'd say that was a labial incision.
00:05:13.000 You just.
00:05:15.000 It was on purpose.
00:05:17.000 It was alright.
00:05:17.000 I kind of enjoyed it.
00:05:18.000 Now, are you going to do the sides?
00:05:20.000 What's coming out now?
00:05:22.000 It's getting a bit Sweeney Toddy in here.
00:05:23.000 I have to.
00:05:24.000 I have no other choice.
00:05:25.000 To get.
00:05:26.000 The old cutthroat's coming out?
00:05:27.000 Yeah. 0.84
00:05:28.000 Okay.
00:05:28.000 There is.
00:05:29.000 Just for you.
00:05:30.000 Oh man, this is it, isn't it?
00:05:32.000 I mean, we're really creating a carnival atmosphere right here.
00:05:35.000 And what's happening there?
00:05:36.000 What's that appendage you've produced?
00:05:39.000 You're not allowed to use an original straight razor anymore because it's dirty, because it's dropping the hone.
00:05:44.000 So nowadays, all barbers have to use disposable razors.
00:05:47.000 Michael.
00:05:50.000 Really?
00:05:50.000 That's us.
00:05:51.000 That way it's nice and clean.
00:05:53.000 Okay. 0.99
00:05:53.000 We're not getting anybody else's skin or hair. 0.99
00:05:55.000 Okay.
00:05:57.000 You can't expect Christy to come over here from Bethlehem and then also Mike, a barber.
00:06:03.000 What a shot this is!
00:06:05.000 Oh, thank you very much.
00:06:06.000 Actually, we can expect Christy to come here all the way from Bethlehem.
00:06:08.000 Straight out of Bethlehem.
00:06:09.000 Straight out of Bethlehem, yeah.
00:06:11.000 Okay, so I'm going to do your cheekbone.
00:06:13.000 So, no talking. 0.99
00:06:14.000 Give me five seconds.
00:06:15.000 Okay.
00:06:16.000 Do you mind if I sort of lean into this?
00:06:18.000 Yeah, you're good.
00:06:19.000 Oh, God.
00:06:20.000 Ow.
00:06:22.000 You're all right, mate.
00:06:22.000 I'm not going to hit you.
00:06:23.000 You're all right.
00:06:24.000 You're all right.
00:06:25.000 I'm very glad that this is part of the pre-tapes.
00:06:29.000 Okay, now we're going to do the other side, so I'm going to have you turn for me.
00:06:33.000 This is one of those ideas where.
00:06:34.000 Derek, you're not going to be turning me.
00:06:36.000 I'll tell you that.
00:06:38.000 Many have tried before you.
00:06:42.000 I think that's what you needed, man.
00:06:44.000 If anything, I'll turn you back. 0.90
00:06:46.000 Okay, now all I got to do is the bomb. 0.99
00:06:49.000 Go on then, fire away, mate.
00:06:51.000 Christy, when you were making your way to the United States of America from Bethlehem, did this form part of any vision that you had for what might take place?
00:07:03.000 Reminding me of my dad shaving his own beard?
00:07:06.000 No.
00:07:07.000 On live TV?
00:07:08.000 No.
00:07:09.000 No.
00:07:10.000 No, this is not something that you anticipated.
00:07:12.000 And I'll tell you now that it's not easy to weave this live stream shaving into a conversation about proto canonite theology.
00:07:25.000 How do you think that feels?
00:07:27.000 Very hard.
00:07:28.000 Well, you seem pretty confident, mate.
00:07:29.000 You're thrashing around my throat.
00:07:31.000 It's going to be alright.
00:07:33.000 It looks good.
00:07:35.000 I think it's therapeutic to watch as well.
00:07:39.000 I hope so.
00:07:39.000 People have been incredibly patient.
00:07:41.000 I mean,.
00:07:41.000 We've got quite a lot of the guests still in the audience.
00:07:45.000 If only we had some soundballs.
00:07:47.000 Oh, man. 0.80
00:07:48.000 And a kangaroo.
00:07:50.000 I mean, we could have left this.
00:07:52.000 Yeah, I mean, there have been episodes where we've had, like, wallabies patrolling the studios while we've done stuff like this.
00:07:59.000 Derek, I'm very.
00:08:00.000 No, man.
00:08:01.000 Not product.
00:08:01.000 What's going on?
00:08:02.000 This is a softener for your boots.
00:08:05.000 Okay.
00:08:05.000 Because it feels a little rough.
00:08:06.000 Okay, well.
00:08:07.000 I'm going to soften it up.
00:08:08.000 I don't like that it's called Secret Sauce.
00:08:09.000 That in itself is sort of a.
00:08:12.000 A perturbing name.
00:08:14.000 So, the owner told me to.
00:08:17.000 Sniff the tip and say Mazeltoff?
00:08:19.000 I don't know about that anymore, mate.
00:08:20.000 We're trying to bring peace to the Middle East.
00:08:22.000 You sound like you're making it worse.
00:08:24.000 I mean, I could.
00:08:26.000 All right, so we'll put that in there right in the middle.
00:08:28.000 I'm going to roll this in.
00:08:30.000 You're right in there in sort of like a mile kind of situation.
00:08:32.000 It's quite layered, huh?
00:08:34.000 It's actually really good.
00:08:35.000 It's for hair, skin, and body.
00:08:37.000 But I've got to take the top off.
00:08:38.000 I forgot the top off.
00:08:39.000 Oh, mate, I'm pretty sensitive about that.
00:08:40.000 I don't know if I want that on.
00:08:42.000 I can feel panic sort of.
00:08:43.000 I think I'm taking back authority.
00:08:45.000 I'm taking back personal autonomy and authority.
00:08:47.000 Ladies and gentlemen, please give out for Derek Asher, the Rogue Barber.
00:08:52.000 Skateboarding, punk, rapping, Barb, you've got it all.
00:08:55.000 Thank you very much.
00:08:56.000 How am I looking?
00:08:57.000 Thank you, man.
00:08:58.000 Thank you very much.

00:10:11.000 Good work, Derek.
00:10:12.000 Thank you very much.
00:10:12.000 That was very impressive.
00:10:14.000 Raised my temperature a bit to be in that cave.
00:10:16.000 Christy, will you stay a minute?
00:10:17.000 All right.
00:10:18.000 So thank you very much, darling.
00:10:19.000 Thank you for doing that.
00:10:20.000 It wasn't easy to do that with the microphone stuff.
00:10:22.000 It was pretty challenging, wasn't it?
00:10:23.000 You've got to keep your microphone there.
00:10:25.000 Last thing I need to deal with is another person who's recalcitrant with mic technique.
00:10:28.000 Good work, Derek.
00:10:30.000 Yeah, you're good.
00:10:31.000 Thank you very much.
00:10:32.000 Like, I've not seen myself yet, so you didn't do anything dramatic, did he?
00:10:37.000 He looks good.
00:10:38.000 Thank you.
00:10:39.000 Thanks, Jake.
00:10:39.000 That's reassuring.
00:10:40.000 That's reassuring.
00:10:41.000 Okay.
00:10:42.000 So, Christy, man, it's been like you've been staying in this country for two or three weeks now.
00:10:49.000 We've had you come on every time that we're here.
00:10:50.000 The reason for this is because every time that you're on the show, I feel like I get a little more data on what I'd call deep, deep theology.
00:11:01.000 So, will you today.
00:11:03.000 I reckon some of the things that I'd like your insights on is when you have our, let's call him for the sake of argument, an ecclesiastical Indiana Jones marauding around the planet in a safari shirt, digging up pyramids, hanging around tombs and stuff, talking about intergalactic alien warfare. 0.56
00:11:23.000 And on the show, we've had Michael Peters in his peculiar sort of Gnostic way taking us deep into scripture and gay blinds.
00:11:31.000 I'd love you to, if you can, Christy. 0.82
00:11:34.000 Follow up on some of the ideas that have been there that have come up over the course of these wild and carooming conversations.
00:11:42.000 What do you think, for a start, about some of the Book of Enoch, Book of Daniel, Revelations, references to interdimensional beings, and how Timothy there is covering those things as a kind of something that we're going to get empirical evidence of?
00:12:01.000 Oh, wow.
00:12:02.000 Well, I wish I had a lot of time to talk about this, but what Timothy was covering was.
00:12:09.000 What I bring to the table is slightly just more insight and color to the picture.
00:12:14.000 Most of the substance is actually kind of obviously true.
00:12:19.000 But what I would add onto the picture is that with pictographic form, you start understanding the meaning behind names and names, usually given in Abba's kingdom, as we understand, as descriptive of your functionality and your role.
00:12:35.000 And that's why I keep going back to the belief system that when Abba kicks someone out of his kingdom, he removes his name simply because there's nothing violent.
00:12:46.000 In him.
00:12:47.000 And when he removes his name from someone, his functionality ceases to be of service.
00:12:54.000 So then they're out.
00:12:56.000 And that's how I believe and why Jesus said, I saw the one who wasn't to be named come out of Abba's kingdom, because he was saying he doesn't have a function, in short.
00:13:08.000 So go back to the book of Watchers in the book of Enoch, the first one.
00:13:14.000 The sons of God was a reference.
00:13:16.000 By men to those beings that were angels.
00:13:21.000 But what we're missing as well is that they were fallen angels.
00:13:24.000 So one third of Abba had fallen.
00:13:25.000 And I mentioned when I was on the call and on the podcast a couple of weeks ago is that there's their belief system that there are three different rankings of angels.
00:13:36.000 Sherub, Sherubim, Seraphim, and Teraphim.
00:13:38.000 Now, the Teraphim, the Teraphim is what we call as watchers.
00:13:42.000 And they are the ones designed to be our guardian angels.
00:13:46.000 So each one of us has watchers.
00:13:49.000 Now, when one third of Abba's kingdom had fallen, a large number of them had fallen, of those watchers.
00:13:57.000 And then they were basically dark.
00:14:00.000 Everything that they had was quite.
00:14:03.000 That's why they had the capability to be lustful.
00:14:06.000 It was a pride. 0.70
00:14:07.000 It was thinking like, so what's the essence of separation from Abba?
00:14:12.000 It's basically being self centered on your own inner world and the disconnect.
00:14:19.000 Within you.
00:14:20.000 So that's why that, and that void, that creates a void that you cannot fulfill no matter what you try to use.
00:14:27.000 So that's why they basically went for 200 of them.
00:14:31.000 As we know, we don't know their numbers.
00:14:35.000 Hence, we're invited by Abba to fulfill that number of the one third of God's kingdom that had fallen.
00:14:42.000 So 200 of them, based on the book of Enoch, had fallen.
00:14:47.000 And after the fall, we know that those 200 made a pact on Mount Hermon.
00:14:52.000 And then they became human beings.
00:14:54.000 So they are the only ranking of angels that can become human beings.
00:15:01.000 Archangels don't.
00:15:02.000 Like we know Gabriel, Raphael, they all can manifest to some extent in a man like form, but the only angels that could become human beings are, or the ranking, as we know, are the Watchers, which are the Guardian Angels, which are the Teraphim.
00:15:21.000 Yeah, they sound a little bit shape shifty, these guys.
00:15:23.000 They seem like.
00:15:25.000 That they might glitch into all manner of forms.
00:15:28.000 See this place where you're, you know, generally speaking, living, Bethlehem.
00:15:33.000 Is it one of those kind of things?
00:15:34.000 Is it to this day a thin space, a space where you feel like you encounter mystery and the supernatural?
00:15:42.000 Absolutely.
00:15:43.000 I'd say the whole land is, and it's something about it that is cyclical.
00:15:47.000 So certain events that took place, because they didn't have a GPS, so they knew where the Israelites must have entered.
00:15:57.000 By Joshua into from Jordan into cross the river of Jordan, Jesus would have gone there to be baptized.
00:16:05.000 Elijah would have, you know, ascended to heaven from there.
00:16:09.000 So, all these geographical places carry a certain flavor, almost like energy and rhythm, that when you walk into them, you do get not just your imagination triggered, but also your whole being feels things in that land.
00:16:29.000 I mean, on a superficial level, a lot of people call it the Holy Land.
00:16:32.000 There's not a lot of holiness the way we think, as in, human beings are making it wherever we go, we bring our kind of holiness into it.
00:16:43.000 But there's, if you trip that back and the people who are living there and look at the spaces and the places and the events that took place there, you would feel a weight that I have never experienced anywhere else.
00:16:57.000 That's quite more grounding.
00:16:59.000 And almost every person who went there that I knew had a transformational experience, whether they were there or after they left.
00:17:09.000 Yes, yes, I understand.
00:17:12.000 Because in itself, this reference to bread, the bread of life, and this place of bread, Has transformation in it, doesn't it?
00:17:21.000 The crushed seed and the raising and the incorporation of the ethereal, or at least into air when bread rises.
00:17:28.000 So there is, um, yes, a sort of a kind of a secondary accessible tune that you will that you can detect if you're present and you're awake there.
00:17:38.000 Indeed, since we, um, earlier on have a look at this clip, uh, were messing around with sound baths, or we're not messing around with them, we were immersed in them, weren't we, Kenzie?
00:19:10.000 From that moment on, I've been in a kind of a different state.
00:19:14.000 It's as if it's kind of bought into our presence a sort of an awareness of the sacred.
00:19:19.000 I find that kind of this continual shifting between levels like exhausting.
00:19:25.000 It's only when I listen to that noise I realise, oh my God, like noise, tune, harmony, sacred sound.
00:19:30.000 It's only then I realise, oh my God, I'm exhausted.
00:19:33.000 I'm exhausted.
00:19:34.000 I'm doing this sort of whole thing on fumes.
00:19:37.000 I'm just like, you know, I arrive here shattered.
00:19:41.000 And then, like, just sort of grab onto something and go, like, and hopefully, I can sort of like get two hours of content, but there's a point where it kind of runs out.
00:19:50.000 And I think that's sort of what's happened.
00:19:51.000 The reason that we keep talking about the apocalypse is because I think, are you still up there?
00:19:55.000 Yeah, I'm still here, but you get down.
00:19:58.000 Like, you know, the thing that I think that what we're all experiencing, sort of individually and collectively, because how could there be separation ultimately, is that we are reaching what, again, Terrence McKenna called the object at the end of time.
00:20:13.000 It's as if we're being pulled towards something.
00:20:15.000 Now, when our man Timothy there a little earlier said, he was talking, you know, when we make that trend, and maybe it was Michael, I can't remember, I've had so many conversations today, but when we move from Kronos to Kairos, we're moving into, you know, in the Greek at least, and I would love to know how that's handled in Hebrew or in some proto Sinite language that you might have access to.
00:20:41.000 We're moving into a different quality of time, it seems like now.
00:20:45.000 Like things are heightening, hastening, fluctuating.
00:20:49.000 Like it's a hazy, fluxy, different time that we're moving into, I sense.
00:20:55.000 We did discuss time and the idea of time together.
00:20:57.000 And the concept of Kairos is actually, after all, about an event.
00:21:04.000 So we're.
00:21:07.000 Time as we know it actually only exists within us.
00:21:11.000 Because if you remove humanity, you'll just have the moon and the stars.
00:21:15.000 And we're circling around them, and there's no numbers and no seconds and no minutes counting it.
00:21:21.000 We are the ones, our bodies actually have the clocks within us.
00:21:26.000 So, when you talk about the idea in Hebraic mindset when it comes to time, actually, time isn't as important as the event that defines it.
00:21:36.000 And that's why we call a Kairos moment.
00:21:39.000 It's like something happened that defined and brought substance to that moment.
00:21:45.000 Otherwise, That moment is quite a thing, you can do with anything you want, and it's flexible, it's dynamic, and it's fleeting as well sometimes.
00:21:54.000 So it doesn't have the depth, but it's what you do in that moment when you were born, basically, is the day that the act of you being birthed is what defined your birthday.
00:22:08.000 Yes.
00:22:09.000 I mean, there's just no question about it, Christy.
00:22:11.000 I can't quarrel with that.
00:22:12.000 Me being there was absolutely fundamental.
00:22:17.000 November is just around the corner, which means it's nearly time for the midterms.
00:22:21.000 Polymarket are predicting a blue sweep of both the Senate and the House.
00:22:25.000 Get over to Polymarket and bet on the outcome.
00:22:28.000 You can even bet state by state.
00:22:30.000 Trade on this and other real world events at Polymarket.
00:22:34.000 Hey, I was thinking this because of you saying that.
00:22:38.000 The temple curtain torn asunder.
00:22:41.000 Some of the dead saints rose from their graves.
00:22:45.000 This point in the crucifixion.
00:22:47.000 This for me has a.
00:22:51.000 This is beyond technology.
00:22:52.000 Shifting, sort of some subterranean flux occurs.
00:22:56.000 The crucifixion then must be this determining event.
00:23:02.000 Absolutely.
00:23:02.000 It was an end of a covenantal era and a beginning of one.
00:23:07.000 So, obviously, if we look at precedence, when Jesus experienced the ultimate form of sin, which is, in my opinion, separation, because he didn't have any sin in him, he went down to what we call this shul, which is a temporary place before hell.
00:23:27.000 And he did preach to people who were in the Noahic covenant, well, Noahic time at the time.
00:23:34.000 And a lot of them believed in him, so he took them out of shul and took them out into.
00:23:41.000 Let's say paradise, heaven with him.
00:23:44.000 And alongside of that, there was a moment of the resurrection of some of the souls of the people who people recognized that they were known prophets or known, you know, believers of the Hebraic faith at the time.
00:24:02.000 And they were resurrected and walking around Jerusalem's cities, I mean, streets.
00:24:08.000 To this day, I don't understand why.
00:24:10.000 I think a sign to say that we are headed towards a different era after this covenant that we're not going to be able to fathom until we see Him return here and see the manifestation of a new creation.
00:24:26.000 That we transcend our physical beings and our spirits can walk around freely outside of those bodies, but yet we're not there to manifest the completion, wholeness of this until we come.
00:24:43.000 He comes back and reconciles us with the new creation he's given us, if that makes any sense.
00:24:47.000 It actually does make sense.
00:24:49.000 And I was simultaneously understanding that while clocking that my beard feels different.
00:24:53.000 Like I was like, and also my beard's transformed.
00:24:56.000 I'm going through an interdimensional facial hair experience.
00:25:00.000 Now, hey, you know, maybe did you ever see Carl Sagan talking about Flatlanders, that book that Michael Peters told me about?
00:25:08.000 Before we do that, though, I make a podcast every Sunday with my wife.
00:25:12.000 Here's a little bit of it now.
00:25:13.000 You can watch it whenever you want to.
00:25:14.000 Here's what it's like.
00:25:15.000 Look, it's this.
00:25:16.000 This is it.
00:25:25.000 You said this thing about shame a moment ago, and I was looking for something in Hebrews where he says, scorning the shame of the cross.
00:25:37.000 I was looking for that.
00:25:38.000 Maybe in the end, I might need a phone for that.
00:25:42.000 Yeah, what would you like me to do?
00:25:44.000 If you put into a search engine, scorning the shame.
00:25:47.000 Oh, no, here we go.
00:25:48.000 I found it.
00:25:49.000 Oh, brilliant.
00:25:49.000 Hebrews 12.
00:25:50.000 Take that, past.
00:25:53.000 Take that, the past.
00:25:55.000 Hebrews 12.
00:25:56.000 Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, for the joy that was set before him.
00:26:11.000 He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
00:26:18.000 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
00:26:26.000 Nice.
00:26:28.000 That he didn't give to you as the world gives to you.
00:26:34.000 The world is sin always on the way in, it is exciting.
00:26:40.000 You at some point were invited in, were you not?
00:26:43.000 Come this way for the money or for the excitement or for whatever.
00:26:47.000 And how does it feel when you're in there?
00:26:49.000 And is the general trend that it's decaying, deteriorating, because this is the dark signature of the enemy, of the fallen one decay.
00:26:58.000 Death.
00:26:59.000 Or did you find out it's just got better and better since I took that Faustian pact?
00:27:03.000 Since I did that deal with the devil, my life's getting better and better and improving.
00:27:06.000 No, once you're in there, you realize it's not real.
00:27:09.000 I think of the immediate thing I think of is how much I sometimes so want to eat a McDonald's.
00:27:16.000 And even when we go on those long drives, whether it was to the hospitals or whatever, and we're on those 10 hour drives, and it's like just right towards the end, you cave and you think, let's just have a Wendy's or whatever.
00:27:28.000 You know, when I'm, yeah, when I'm telling, yeah, like when I'm saying, Oh, no, when I, cause I'm the one suggesting it.
00:27:33.000 We're in the car, we're driving along.
00:27:35.000 And then there just comes a point, you go with good healthy snacks and then just right towards the end, good healthy snacks.
00:27:41.000 Miserable little bag of seeds.
00:27:43.000 I've got, I've got the seeds.
00:27:44.000 I've got the seeds.
00:27:45.000 I've got the water.
00:27:46.000 We've got kombucha.
00:27:47.000 Coconut shreds.
00:27:48.000 We've got a different type of beef sticks that the kids don't like because they've got organs.
00:27:53.000 It's because they've got organs in them.
00:27:55.000 Awful things.
00:27:57.000 Anyway, delicious actually, delicious and very good for you.
00:28:00.000 But yeah, those are really great.
00:28:02.000 You advertise Paul Saladino.
00:28:03.000 Oh, well, I will.
00:28:04.000 They're great.
00:28:05.000 The droids.
00:28:05.000 Beef sticks.
00:28:06.000 I beg your pardon.
00:28:08.000 Mrs. Brown, are you saying from the stand that you enjoyed Paul Saladino's beef stick?
00:28:13.000 Let me be clear.
00:28:14.000 You follow me.
00:28:16.000 Beef sticks.
00:28:17.000 You follow me.
00:28:17.000 Protein powder.
00:28:19.000 Wait.
00:28:20.000 For the benefit, Your Honor.
00:28:22.000 Okay, stop.
00:28:23.000 For the benefit.
00:28:23.000 No, stop, because this isn't an advert for Paul Saladino's stuff.
00:28:28.000 Reborn.
00:28:29.000 Reborn.
00:28:30.000 No, but the point being, When we get nearly towards the end of a trip and we've done so well and you're nearly there and you've maybe done a couple of loose stops, but you haven't, you've eaten good food and you're not going to do it and you're not going to cause something.
00:28:41.000 And then just right at the end, I think I have to, I cannot hold it any more.
00:28:46.000 I need a double whopper, whatever it's called.
00:28:49.000 You know, they're called Dave for your, for your attention.
00:28:52.000 Yeah.
00:28:53.000 The whopper, the whopper is a Burger King product.
00:28:57.000 No further questions.
00:28:58.000 No.
00:28:58.000 So hold on.
00:29:00.000 The whopper isn't Wendy's.
00:29:01.000 No further questions.
00:29:02.000 You spent way too much time there this week.
00:29:05.000 Um, no.
00:29:05.000 At Wendy's, it's called something like the Double Dave.
00:29:08.000 It's called the Double Dave.
00:29:09.000 It's called the Double Dave.
00:29:11.000 And it's really good, but it doesn't feel good after.
00:29:15.000 However, whatever way you look, it's good when you taste it.
00:29:18.000 It's good when you first eat it and then about, I don't know, minutes after you've finished it and you're greasy and you're trying to find out where to put the trash.
00:29:26.000 How are you eating it?
00:29:27.000 Well, it's.
00:29:29.000 Greasy?
00:29:30.000 It's like a wild animal.
00:29:33.000 I've got napkins.
00:29:34.000 Yeah, but you have a particular thing for napkins.
00:29:36.000 You like a lot of napkins and you don't like food on your hands.
00:29:40.000 I, however, just eat it in a normal way and then have to wipe my hands afterwards.
00:29:44.000 Not normal.
00:29:45.000 Of course.
00:29:46.000 Anyway, I don't feel good after and it does feel sinful.
00:29:49.000 It feels like I just sort of knew that that wasn't the right thing to do.
00:29:53.000 Uh, for my body more than anything.
00:29:55.000 Um, I'm not saying, and by the way, I don't want to shame even myself for that.
00:29:59.000 There's nothing wrong with, you know, a secret or not a secret fast food meal, but, uh, is that what it's called?
00:30:06.000 A fast food meal?
00:30:08.000 Yeah.
00:30:08.000 A fast food meal.
00:30:09.000 Yeah.
00:30:10.000 Um, but the feeling is of just trying so hard and then just caving and it not being, not feeling good.
00:30:16.000 And I suppose that's what addiction probably feels like.
00:30:18.000 Maybe if you, you know, if you've got a drink or drug problem, but you, you mentioned this, The process of addiction earlier on.
00:30:25.000 Well, I certainly did.
00:30:26.000 And also the process of sin.
00:30:27.000 But always it seems appealing.
00:30:29.000 And what I'm conflating is sin with worldliness and self simultaneously.
00:30:34.000 Oh, that's the point.
00:30:35.000 Sorry.
00:30:36.000 The point is this is my point that I was going to make.
00:30:38.000 You said worldliness.
00:30:40.000 The reason I brought up fast food and the feeling of it being sinful is the only reason I'm thinking of fast food is because of the advertising on the side of the road.
00:30:47.000 The worldliness of the advertising on the side of the road.
00:30:54.000 Are you seriously suggesting?
00:30:56.000 That you don't have enough self determination to resist a Wendy's advert.
00:30:59.000 And somehow the Wendy's sign itself is responsible for you wandering into the Wendy's, ordering a double Dave burger without, might I say, even the courtesy to pick up some napkins and then be surprised that you're covered in grease.
00:31:15.000 Let me finish.
00:31:17.000 I'm agreeing with you.
00:31:18.000 Follow me.
00:31:19.000 I'm agreeing with you.
00:31:22.000 Russell.
00:31:23.000 You follow me?
00:31:23.000 I said, and I'm saying, I'm saying, okay.
00:31:29.000 Oh my gosh, you can tell we're tired, can't you?
00:31:31.000 I don't think so.
00:31:32.000 I think I'm pretty, coming to a place of a little life.
00:31:36.000 Okay, no, this is my point.
00:31:37.000 I do have actually a lot of, I'm disciplined.
00:31:42.000 I'm in many ways in my life, I'm disciplined.
00:31:44.000 Go on.
00:31:44.000 But, oh my gosh, I mean, well, first of all, I get up in the morning, I look after the children in the way that I look after them.
00:31:51.000 I'm disciplined in making sure everything's sort of clean and tidy.
00:31:54.000 I'm disciplined in trying to cook nearly all our home cooked meals so that we don't, so we eat well.
00:31:59.000 So, given I'm specifically talking about food, that cave of lack of discipline is because it's like Wendy's.
00:32:09.000 That is a good argument.
00:32:10.000 That's it.
00:32:10.000 That's a good argument.
00:32:11.000 So, there we go. 1.00
00:32:12.000 You're disciplined as a wife. 1.00
00:32:15.000 Yep.
00:32:15.000 Like, even if you're tested as a wife, you've had some few little tests.
00:32:21.000 Yeah, I've had some tests.
00:32:23.000 I would say I'm just generally quite disciplined.
00:32:27.000 Yeah, fair enough.
00:32:27.000 You win.
00:32:28.000 There we go.
00:32:28.000 You win.
00:32:28.000 You're pushing now.
00:32:29.000 So, yeah.
00:32:29.000 You're pushing an open door.
00:32:32.000 Listen to this from our beloved Paul, Corinthians 7, 4 7.
00:32:37.000 But we have this treasure in jars of clay.
00:32:40.000 In fact, I'm going to start a line at verse earlier because it gives you For God, who said, Let light shine out of darkness, made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ.
00:32:53.000 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all surpassing power is from God and not from us.
00:33:00.000 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed, perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not abandoned, struck down, but not destroyed.
00:33:11.000 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
00:33:21.000 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body.
00:33:29.000 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
00:33:35.000 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
00:33:39.000 Oh, so he's giving them a bit of a chastising, they've been a bit too lively.
00:33:42.000 But I love this persecuted but not abandoned.
00:33:44.000 That's so beautiful, isn't it?
00:33:45.000 That's lovely.
00:33:46.000 That's really lovely.
00:33:48.000 I love him so much.
00:33:49.000 I was realizing, did you have something?
00:33:50.000 Only because I was going to say, I really enjoyed what we read today.
00:33:54.000 And I don't know if it comes into today's Sunday service.
00:33:58.000 But maybe you could also say a little bit about this because I don't know much about this.
00:34:02.000 I mean, but save that page because this is the bit I wanted to read.
00:34:04.000 In the corner.
00:34:05.000 There we go.
00:34:06.000 Thanks, Barry.
00:34:07.000 Yeah.
00:34:08.000 I think I told you a lot.
00:34:09.000 I was out in my main.
00:34:10.000 Yeah.
00:34:10.000 You did tell the story, but.
00:34:12.000 Say, I'm staying with Jake, Dave, Joe.
00:34:16.000 Like a quadrant in a beloved friend's apartment.
00:34:19.000 Yeah.
00:34:19.000 And our friend Sarah is working with us and doing wonderfully well also.
00:34:24.000 But, you know, I hang with Joe a lot.
00:34:26.000 Joe's the guy that's the security guard and, like, you know, the door and everything.
00:34:29.000 That's so funny, man.
00:34:30.000 But, like, so.
00:34:32.000 That was written about.
00:34:33.000 That was covered.
00:34:34.000 That's covered.
00:34:35.000 Me and Joe were out, like, last week going to church.
00:34:38.000 Like, well, I would just go to a 12 step thing to catch up with people around here.
00:34:41.000 Yeah.
00:34:41.000 We're in our country now, our beautiful country.
00:34:45.000 And, like, So, but my mate Joe, he's a 12 step dude too, but he wants to live by the river.
00:34:51.000 We live by the river.
00:34:52.000 And look at this beautiful bay window.
00:34:53.000 This is our home.
00:34:54.000 Look at how this beautiful cat sat there.
00:34:55.000 This cat's molting an awful lot.
00:34:57.000 I'm itching like crazy.
00:34:58.000 Do you know what word immediately comes to my mind when I hear people talk?
00:35:00.000 Hives.
00:35:01.000 No.
00:35:02.000 Dander.
00:35:04.000 It's the dander. 1.00
00:35:05.000 It's because she's elderly. 0.96
00:35:07.000 So she's got. 0.68
00:35:07.000 No, no, no. 0.68
00:35:08.000 But I'm just saying it's not.
00:35:10.000 I don't.
00:35:10.000 I'm not always allergic to cats, but I think she's molting a little bit more, and the dander is creating a bit of an allergic reaction.
00:35:18.000 But it doesn't stop me loving her.
00:35:20.000 Nothing can stop me loving her.
00:35:21.000 Nothing stops me loving her.
00:35:22.000 I love her so much.
00:35:23.000 But if you see me itching my eye and my nose, I have a little bit of an itch here and it's going all over my clothes as well.
00:35:30.000 But what there is of your clothes, Mrs. Brandt?
00:35:32.000 Oh my God.
00:35:41.000 Michael, do you mind coming back up here, please, and explain?
00:35:44.000 Please welcome back to the stage, Michael Peters.
00:35:47.000 Michael Peters is an author and teacher.
00:35:49.000 He's lectured at Harvard.
00:35:50.000 He's done a thousand things.
00:35:52.000 Michael, stay here, though, Christy, because I need your opinion.
00:35:54.000 So keep hold of that, if you don't mind, my darling.
00:35:57.000 And Michael, come and sit here in my seat, and I'll sit right in the middle where nature intended.
00:36:03.000 Thank you very much.
00:36:04.000 Michael, the reason I wanted to get you back for this, isn't it?
00:36:08.000 I just want you, the people that have been in the audience for the entire show, to just remember that the moment, right, I want you to do this in quick succession.
00:36:16.000 The moment where I was talking to Nicholas outside, I wanted to have that image.
00:36:19.000 Then the bit where there was a beard being trimmed.
00:36:21.000 Then the crystal bowl.
00:36:23.000 There's been a lot of crazy.
00:36:24.000 It's been weird, hasn't it?
00:36:26.000 And like last week, it might have been a bit weird.
00:36:28.000 There was a wallaby loose at one bit last week.
00:36:30.000 There was an albino wallaby on the floor.
00:36:32.000 Look, there's an image of it.
00:36:33.000 See, it's real.
00:36:34.000 It happened.
00:36:35.000 Michael, why is it that you think that that book.
00:36:38.000 See, Christy, she's on one, aren't she?
00:36:41.000 So we'll talk to her about that flatland thing, please, a little bit.
00:36:44.000 Explain to what that book is and what Christy just said there about this inconceivable interdimensional sense of.
00:36:50.000 Being that's transcendent in the same way that three dimensions is impossible to comprehend for a two dimensional entity.
00:36:55.000 Can you explain that to her?
00:36:58.000 Oh, no, don't explain to her.
00:36:59.000 She already understands it, but like connect it.
00:37:01.000 Should I repeat what you just said three times really fast?
00:37:05.000 Basically.
00:37:06.000 Yeah.
00:37:07.000 All right.
00:37:08.000 So, a way to describe this idea of being born a second time, that to share DNA with God as opposed to just the mammal thing, to be born a second time, you must be born a second time, Jesus said.
00:37:24.000 To understand that is a little bit difficult for us, but the book Flatlands is basically a mathematical modeling book.
00:37:32.000 If you're two dimensional, Flatlands, if you're a plane, say a piece of paper, and a sphere passes through to visit you, what's it look like if you live on this plane, this two dimensional space?
00:37:46.000 Well, it looks like a dot that turns into a circle, that turns into a bigger circle, that turns into a smaller circle, that turns into a dot, and then it disappears.
00:37:54.000 So, how do you describe that if you live in a mammal world?
00:37:59.000 If you're blind, how do you describe a rainbow?
00:38:01.000 If you live in a mammal world that has not been born a second time, how do you understand the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven?
00:38:08.000 You can see the good deeds.
00:38:10.000 You can see the kindness and graciousness and wisdom of our God personified in Jesus Christ. 0.99
00:38:16.000 But how do you grasp eternity life that always was and always will be without sounding like a Gnostic? 1.00
00:38:23.000 Right.
00:38:23.000 So the nature of it is I will have this man be king over me, I will have the faith of Abraham.
00:38:31.000 I will give my life to a God that asks me to break the idols and sacrifice Isaac if necessary, not because he's masochistic or mean, because he wants us to trust him more than we trust ourselves.
00:38:42.000 The tree of knowledge is I want to be a God knowing good and evil.
00:38:45.000 The tree of life is I trust the maker of the heavens and the earth more than I trust myself.
00:38:50.000 I don't want to be a God.
00:38:51.000 So now I don't see the sphere passing through as a dot, a circle, and then a smaller dot and it disappears.
00:38:59.000 When I have the antenna, when I have the ability to grasp the concept, Of who God is because he shared his DNA with me.
00:39:07.000 When that happens in the second birth, I'm now able to see, experience, and discuss some things that I wouldn't be able to otherwise.
00:39:15.000 And I can lay down my life for others in a way I don't have to obey the command to love your enemies.
00:39:21.000 No, because it's now in my DNA to love my enemies.
00:39:24.000 It's not a command anymore, it's not a list of rules anymore, it's not a lifestyle.
00:39:29.000 And so now you look to the world religions and say, there are people that want to share in the faith of Abraham.
00:39:37.000 They want that.
00:39:38.000 They know there's a God out there that made them, that formed them, and they want to trust that God.
00:39:43.000 So now we go backwards and forwards all throughout eternity.
00:39:46.000 That's not Gnosticism.
00:39:47.000 That's the story of who Jesus said he was.
00:39:50.000 Before Abraham, I was, right?
00:39:53.000 I am the bread of life, I am the door.
00:39:54.000 Who else said those things?
00:39:56.000 And who else did what he did?
00:39:58.000 Nobody else.
00:39:58.000 So he was what everybody was always waiting for.
00:40:02.000 All of eternity, all of creation, the stones along the road bursting into praise.
00:40:07.000 I can make biological sons of Abraham out of a rock.
00:40:10.000 But I want you to have the faith of Abraham, and if you'll deny your very self and come after me, take up your cross, then you can be born a second time and share DNA from heaven. 0.70
00:40:21.000 That's exactly why Jesus was born of a virgin. 0.59
00:40:25.000 That is why he was born of a virgin, so that he could demonstrate what it looks like to live in the full measure of the stature of one who shares heaven life with earth life.
00:40:35.000 And we can share that life, explore that life, and share that life.
00:40:39.000 And then when he left, And he was risen from the dead, he then could scale and pour out that life amongst all of us.
00:40:48.000 Right?
00:40:48.000 So that's why religion, to attend something, to believe something, is a little lame.
00:40:53.000 And I'm not being insulting, I'm just saying it's lame compared to what he promised us. 0.94
00:40:58.000 Rivers of alive water gushing from the inner man to all who believe.
00:41:02.000 Really?
00:41:03.000 I asked an 86 year old man this, his name was Norm, at an ice cream place called Brewster's in Knoxville about two weeks ago.
00:41:10.000 He just walked up while we were talking about things like this at a table, and he said, Man, I want in on this conversation.
00:41:17.000 So, you know, as we talked about it, we talked about what all the things Jesus said to all who believe rivers of alive water gushing from the abdomen.
00:41:26.000 Well, you know, there's 50 of those that are something like that that Jesus promised.
00:41:31.000 And I said, You've been around 86 years.
00:41:32.000 You're as fervent as anybody I've ever met in my life.
00:41:35.000 This guy was cool.
00:41:37.000 Very cool.
00:41:38.000 I hope I'm like that if I make it to anywhere near that age.
00:41:42.000 And I said, Do you know anybody in all these years of being a passionate follower of Jesus?
00:41:46.000 That you would describe as an outside observer, or they would even be capable of describing themselves as rivers of living water, the dynamo, the torrents of alive water that can light a city.
00:41:59.000 You know, do you know anybody like that?
00:42:01.000 He said, I really don't.
00:42:03.000 I said, Do you know how sad that is?
00:42:05.000 Because that's his promise for all who believe.
00:42:09.000 That's not a superstar.
00:42:11.000 That's heaven DNA come to earth, and as we squash the mammal life and allow the The release of the Spirit, as Watchman Nee would say, as we open up our heart, break the alabaster jar of repentance of the brokenness of only God.
00:42:26.000 Look what God has done.
00:42:28.000 That kind of gratitude in life opens up the portals of heaven that we can experience and the sons of God can be manifest.
00:42:37.000 We can live that kind of life with ever increasing glory as we behold Him by the Lord who is the Spirit.
00:42:42.000 It's passive by the Lord who is the Spirit, but our job is to behold Him and trust Him as we walk through the pieces of the job, as David said, as.
00:42:51.000 As God said to Abraham, is to trust, not to do per se.
00:42:55.000 That'll take care of itself if you release God to be who God wants to be inside of us. 0.78
00:43:00.000 So the second Adam brought a whole new race. 0.87
00:43:04.000 He didn't instruct us as to the proper doctrine compared to the Hindus and the Muslims and the, well, you know, that's a different story, but compared to the other world religions or even atheism. 0.97
00:43:14.000 I knew lots of atheists at Harvard, but not one of them ever said, wow, you know, if you met Jesus, who would you be?
00:43:23.000 Who would you walk with?
00:43:24.000 Would you be an atheist? 0.62
00:43:25.000 And they all said, I would follow that man.
00:43:28.000 I'm attracted to them.
00:43:29.000 And what little I know of them, I'm attracted.
00:43:31.000 Thank you so much, Michael.
00:43:33.000 I mean, I'm just thinking, this is what an extraordinary afternoon in the Sowell Jazz Club that we're having here in South Florida.
00:43:39.000 Christy, thank you so much for joining us.
00:43:42.000 Michael, thank you very much for joining us.
00:43:43.000 Jake, thank you for your amazing work.
00:43:45.000 And you, thank you for your incredible patience and for your complicity today.
00:43:50.000 We will be back next time, not with more of the same, but more that are different.
00:43:53.000 Until then, if you can, stay free.
