00:00:07.000 And welcome to Sunday Service with the Browns.
00:00:19.000 Hello, beloved wife.
00:00:20.000 Hello.
00:00:21.000 We're in a different space.
00:00:23.000 We're in the UK.
00:00:23.000 We're in the UK.
00:00:25.000 Why is that?
00:00:26.000 Fancy the trip.
00:00:28.000 Yeah.
00:00:29.000 The Lord has brought us here.
00:00:29.000 Can't say it's a vacation, but yes, the Lord has brought us here and we're in a new space, but it's not a new space.
00:00:36.000 We've been in these almost in these exact seats before, except for I was sitting there.
00:00:42.000 You might be able to find, Massey, a moment from when me and Laura, when Laura was launching her book, I believe, about homemade activities for.
00:00:52.000 Joy Journal for Magical Everyday. Play.
00:00:54.000 Have a look at this 20 second clip.
00:00:56.000 Today, we're going to be doing upcycled shadow puppets.
00:01:02.000 Literally, just stuff you can literally find around the house.
00:01:05.000 This, of course, is taken from your book, The Joy Journal for Magical Creative Play.
00:01:13.000 Here we go.
00:01:16.000 That's terribly good.
00:01:17.000 Oh, do you know what I need to turn me back into a normal boy?
00:01:22.000 A pineapple.
00:01:23.000 Doesn't make sense, does it?
00:01:25.000 I'm really impressed with you and your animal.
00:01:28.000 Um, shadow puppets, don't patronize me.
00:01:30.000 I'm not patronizing you.
00:01:31.000 I'm deeply embarrassed about my pineapple.
00:01:34.000 Don't be embarrassed about that pineapple.
00:01:36.000 It's like a sort of a swollen tomato.
00:01:38.000 Yeah, oh, yeah, that's clearly a pineapple.
00:01:40.000 That was some by a very gifted person.
00:01:43.000 Indeed, well done.
00:01:45.000 Can't you see I love you?
00:01:46.000 Kiss me.
00:01:48.000 Here, have another pineapple.
00:01:49.000 Oh, don't show it's spiky.
00:01:52.000 So, that was then.
00:01:53.000 Yeah, this is now.
00:01:54.000 That's correct.
00:01:55.000 Before we begin, shall we pray?
00:01:57.000 Please, yes.
00:02:04.000 Show fate.
00:02:06.000 Show fate.
00:02:08.000 Almighty God, every aspect of you, beloved, limitless, eternal God, one God, three persons God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
00:02:18.000 We pray, Lord, for safety for the people in Florida as this hurricane approaches, Lord.
00:02:25.000 And we pray for all people suffering everywhere.
00:02:27.000 We pray for all people. that have suffered harms.
00:02:31.000 We pray, Lord, for connection and unity.
00:02:36.000 Relationship is your unity experienced through different individuals, the unitary feeling of oneness.
00:02:46.000 Lord God, may we experience deep, deep love and deep, deep peace.
00:02:50.000 And may the people watching this, even as I suppose, given the nature of the trial, there'll be people watching this to sort of find mean stuff to say, maybe, but we pray for them particularly, God.
00:03:00.000 We pray for them because whoever's watching this, they have things in their life that are troubling them, they are suffering.
00:03:06.000 And Lord, we pray peace upon them in the holy name of Jesus.
00:03:10.000 Amen.
00:03:10.000 Amen.
00:03:13.000 Yeah.
00:03:15.000 Well, we're in the UK because of this trial.
00:03:16.000 What's interesting for me being back here has been.
00:03:19.000 Oh.
00:03:21.000 Coco.
00:03:23.000 I mean, that's Coco.
00:03:25.000 She's come from America, by the way.
00:03:27.000 Coco.
00:03:28.000 Coco.
00:03:30.000 Coco is meeting all of the cats that live here and she seems very antagonized by a lot of them.
00:03:38.000 Well, she's confronting them as well.
00:03:39.000 Like right then, she was confronting a cat.
00:03:42.000 What are you, darling?
00:03:44.000 She's only a little thing.
00:03:45.000 Look at her.
00:03:45.000 Like, what are some of the things I like about Coco?
00:03:47.000 Not the breath.
00:03:49.000 Yeah.
00:03:50.000 I mentioned your desire to start a bad breath clinic that would address all aspects of bad breath, whether it's from the gut, the throat, the tongue, the humble tongue, tonsil stones.
00:03:59.000 I've got that.
00:04:00.000 Almost that Dr. Pimple Popper type infatuation with oral hygiene.
00:04:06.000 You believe too that you like some kind of halitosis whisperer, some kind of plaque whisperer can identify on site, like a sommelier of gut funk that you can identify.
00:04:20.000 Oh, that's coming from the tummy.
00:04:22.000 Oh, that's tongue.
00:04:23.000 That's tongue.
00:04:23.000 That's a tongue scraper.
00:04:25.000 Oh, that's decay in the tooth.
00:04:26.000 That's tonsil stones.
00:04:28.000 I do think I can tell.
00:04:29.000 Yeah.
00:04:30.000 I do a lot of research online and yeah.
00:04:35.000 Do a lot of research.
00:04:36.000 You want to start a breath, bad breath clean?
00:04:38.000 That's a Cocoa Tartar Park like that.
00:04:39.000 I also, do you remember at one point?
00:04:42.000 I said that the cure for all of it always is apple cider vinegar.
00:04:45.000 Just rip through it.
00:04:46.000 Rip, tear through the whole thing.
00:04:48.000 Break it down to a molecular level.
00:04:51.000 Gut, the whole lot.
00:04:53.000 I remember Liam Gallagher saying that he was like well into apple cider vinegar.
00:04:57.000 I think it was in a more generalised selfie.
00:04:59.000 I thought that was a joke.
00:05:00.000 But he said it, no, honestly.
00:05:01.000 He said it with his normal, like when Liam Gallagher talks about, Liam Gallagher, the vocalist from the band Oasis, talks about non rock and roll things.
00:05:10.000 It's funny, like one time years ago, I met him in Hampstead and he goes, I live in that.
00:05:15.000 Cottage over there between that pink one, like it still has the demeanour.
00:05:20.000 So he's saying, genteel type things apple cider vinegar swagger.
00:05:23.000 It's the benefits of apple cider vinegar, they're not mean, they're like limitless.
00:05:28.000 Yeah, that's right.
00:05:30.000 Coco actually wants to go out.
00:05:31.000 Yeah, Coco wants to go out.
00:05:33.000 Russell's in a dressing gown, but again, we're in a home, so no problem there.
00:05:41.000 Talking of clothing.
00:05:42.000 As Churchill said, I think when visited by Eisenhower, he.
00:05:48.000 The Eisenhower, I think this is potentially apocryphal, or forgive me if that word's loaded.
00:05:53.000 Might be true, might not be true.
00:05:56.000 Like Eisenhower arrived, Churchill was naked in the bath, and let's face it, probably drunk.
00:06:03.000 Okay.
00:06:03.000 Probably drunk.
00:06:05.000 But like he got out of the bath straight away, just walked out, and I think, as I understand, with a cigar in hand, greeted Eisenhower, shook hands with him, and said, I have nothing to hide from the president.
00:06:17.000 I am happy for the president to see me and to look within.
00:06:22.000 My dressing gown, mat, my tackle.
00:06:25.000 I mean, if that's his face, one can only imagine his genitals when it comes to church.
00:06:29.000 Forgive that, we've got off track.
00:06:30.000 Sunday service.
00:06:31.000 Sunday service, sorry.
00:06:32.000 Forgive us, Lord.
00:06:33.000 Forgive us, Lord.
00:06:34.000 Okay, so what's amazing for me is to be back in the place where Jesus found me and to be back in this place where, like, this sort of three year in our little lives, this three year episode began with Herbie's health issues, the media material that ultimately led to the trial that commences tomorrow, Monday.
00:06:55.000 Pray for us if you feel so inclined.
00:06:57.000 And let us know in the chat if there's anything we can pray for for you because we do read the comments and we love them and we love you and we're doing our best like you are.
00:07:06.000 So, being back here for me and going on those walks now without Bear with Coco, although Coco can't be taken on walks because she can't be trusted on a walk.
00:07:13.000 She's not the same as Bear on a walk or in any by any metric.
00:07:18.000 That doesn't, other than German breed.
00:07:21.000 Yeah, that's correct.
00:07:22.000 That's it.
00:07:23.000 Beyond that, there's no similarity.
00:07:25.000 So, for me, being back here, obviously it's There are great challenges knowing that, however, we shake this down, there are people that feel aggrieved and hurt.
00:07:37.000 And my prayer is that this will be addressed in the coming weeks.
00:07:41.000 That's my prayer.
00:07:42.000 And we'll do our best to respect the important restrictions that exist around court cases to ensure that truth and justice can be done.
00:07:49.000 But our aim is to carry on doing Sunday service.
00:07:52.000 And I suppose more than ever, when you are faced with times of challenge, that's when you have to.
00:08:01.000 Find your footing and your grounded, your anchor, your God.
00:08:06.000 You need to find your connection with God, your personal connection with God.
00:08:11.000 And I suppose part of perhaps what Sunday service will be in the next few weeks will be a journey of how we're anchoring ourselves in faith and trust and loyalty to God during the times that are difficult.
00:08:28.000 I was just explaining to Russell that, and of course, we've had time, like, you know, I naturally, I, I got nervous before going to court the other day.
00:08:37.000 Why?
00:08:40.000 What's the problem?
00:08:40.000 Well, not really so much actually being in the room, but the nerves were actually that I'm not used to interfacing with.
00:08:50.000 Well, they weren't really necessarily aggressive, but when you get out of a car and there are people and they're taking pictures, paparazzi press, reporters, onlookers, just even people stopping the street and then they're suddenly like, oh, swept up into a moment because it's a moment.
00:09:05.000 There's a moment where you get out the car and there's people there and they're taking pictures.
00:09:10.000 And I was absolutely.
00:09:11.000 And do you know what's funny?
00:09:12.000 So I was just explaining to Russell about my sort of fascination with storms because we have been watching this storm coming.
00:09:20.000 Hurricane Isaiah.
00:09:21.000 Yeah, Isaiah.
00:09:23.000 We can't.
00:09:23.000 Although it's got a different pronunciation, I will say that it's like Isaias, Isaias, or whatever.
00:09:28.000 But as Rhonda Santos said, we'll just call it Isaiah.
00:09:33.000 It's.
00:09:34.000 We.
00:09:35.000 When the, there's the storm and it's drawing everything in from surrounding, when you look at it on a map, it's arrows, it's arrows, it's arrows all around, all around, all around.
00:09:45.000 And you watch it and it'll say things like 12 hours till landfall, um, 180 miles per hour current winds or whatever.
00:09:53.000 And it comes close and it'll say it's going to make landfall in whatever time.
00:09:57.000 And then when it hits the land, the eye of the storm is absolutely silent.
00:10:04.000 Everyone knows that.
00:10:05.000 I know.
00:10:06.000 Have you ever watched a video of it?
00:10:08.000 No, because I don't think videos exist.
00:10:10.000 They do exist because people do go into the eye of a storm and they film it.
00:10:15.000 Can I just say to you, I know that's the idea.
00:10:16.000 I know that's the idea.
00:10:17.000 I'm going to criticise you publicly during our podcast at a time where my treatment of people in general will be under scrutiny.
00:10:23.000 Of course, everyone knows the idea.
00:10:24.000 I can't believe you took that much time to explain the concept of it's quiet at the eye of a storm.
00:10:29.000 That's not the end of the concept.
00:10:31.000 So, as we know, it's quiet.
00:10:34.000 Oh, you did it again.
00:10:35.000 Everyone knows that.
00:10:37.000 No, wait for it.
00:10:38.000 There are two wolves.
00:10:41.000 Each of us is like two wolves.
00:10:43.000 Okay, right.
00:10:44.000 Are you ready for this?
00:10:44.000 A good wolf and a bad wolf.
00:10:46.000 Which wolf is strongest?
00:10:48.000 If you watch storm chasing videos, you'll find someone in the Ivastorm and they'll watch it.
00:10:53.000 Well, guess what?
00:10:54.000 When we stood outside with the paparazzi the other day, it was silent.
00:11:00.000 I'm talking about weird, eerie feeling that you know it's going on, but what?
00:11:06.000 It was silent.
00:11:08.000 Nobody was talking.
00:11:10.000 In your mind, I imagine you're like, look over here.
00:11:14.000 But it was like there were loads of people.
00:11:15.000 This is interesting.
00:11:17.000 I suppose that's because they have acclimatised to the idea that by their own position as primarily operatives within the machinery of media, because without mainstream media, shall we suppose there are no paparazzi, that they're an arm of them.
00:11:34.000 Yeah.
00:11:36.000 And because the position of the media, I would say, is somewhat clear when it comes to me and when it comes to this trial, Hope I'm not overstating when it seems to me that they believe that I'm guilty and that this should be the rubber stamping and a process of my destruction.
00:11:53.000 And the important thing, I would say, their position is, and on this aspect, I agree with them, is to ensure that anybody who's a victim of any crime is the recipient of the utmost reverence and respect.
00:12:04.000 And perhaps even people that believe that they're a victim of crime ought to be treated seriously and with respect.
00:12:10.000 So they can't, if that is their position, like go, like as if they're outside that Nickelodeon show where kids get gunged up, slime or the adult entertainment awards.
00:12:23.000 You know, they've got to go.
00:12:24.000 And I suppose as well, The situation doesn't really have urgency, but I imagine on Monday tomorrow there might be a bit more, Mrs. Brand, because you were doing a bit of that.
00:12:33.000 But there might be a bit of that.
00:12:34.000 And also remember, like, what I think is amazing is you look beautiful in that yellow pantsuit.
00:12:40.000 Is that what we're calling it?
00:12:41.000 Yeah, pantsuit.
00:12:42.000 They wouldn't, like, people told us because we don't look at media, but people told us they said, Russell Brand was spotted, went into court supported by a mystery woman.
00:12:52.000 Mystery woman, like, yellow.
00:12:54.000 It can't even grant.
00:12:56.000 That I married.
00:12:58.000 And that's where you know that narrativization is taking place.
00:13:00.000 Oh, yeah, absolutely.
00:13:01.000 100%.
00:13:02.000 You can't talk about that because there's a predetermination to present information in a certain way.
00:13:07.000 Again, as some years ago now, and a lot of the characters in this drama have changed.
00:13:12.000 Andrew Maher, the British journalist who works for the BBC, interviewed Noam Chomsky way before anyone was talking about Epstein files or Chomsky's potential inclusion in those Epstein files, to whatever degree that is.
00:13:24.000 Chomsky was then mostly known as primarily, well, Originally a linguist of some skill and then a political commentator.
00:13:32.000 Famously, he wrote The Manufacturer of Consent, in which he said, Whilst society broadly seems to be consensual to the goals and aims of the state, broadly, and I'm saying this in the UK at the moment, there's obviously great disruption and great fracture, and the United States has been somewhat divided 50 50 for the last, you know, well, perhaps always, who knows.
00:13:57.000 But he's, he, Claimed Chomsky that a state of consent or at least compliance, shall we say, is created through the conditions of media, media and other arms and apparatus of the empire's power.
00:14:11.000 By the empire, when I say that, I mean a set of institutions that are comparable in various nations with the shared intention of control, usually masked by the stated aim of protection, preservation, safety, and security of the population.
00:14:28.000 Now, Chomsky said, you know, so famously had written, excuse me, these.
00:14:32.000 In this thesis and treaties, the manufacturer of consent.
00:14:36.000 So, naturally, when he was interviewed by a BBC journalist, Andrew Ma, Andrew Ma said, Hey, look, your general position is that journalists have been coached and conditioned, and that mainstream media organizations,
00:14:51.000 and remember, Chomsky's writing this from the left, things were different 20, 30 years ago, and that mainstream media are controlled by centralized forces, and their function isn't to independently report information, but is to give a Biased view to the population in order to create passivity, compliance, and control.
00:15:09.000 And yet, continues Andrew Marr, and being Andrew Marr in this sketch, he continues, Yeah, it's good, isn't it?
00:15:15.000 He's a bit, I can't do impression, it doesn't matter anyway, because most people watching this won't know or care.
00:15:20.000 So I could do if I want, I could do anything.
00:15:23.000 I could do him like he's Willy Wonka.
00:15:25.000 I could play him like a groundskeeper Willy from The Simpsons.
00:15:28.000 I could take any wild decisions.
00:15:30.000 But my simple point is that Andrew Marr said to Name Chomsky, I'm a journalist for the BBC, and I can tell you.
00:15:37.000 I've not been told what to say in this interview.
00:15:39.000 I've not been instructed what my perspective is supposed to be on particular political issues.
00:15:44.000 So I refute your idea that there's such a thing as manufacturing consent.
00:15:47.000 And Chomsky said neatly, accurately, and famously, no.
00:15:52.000 What I'm saying is, if you thought anything different and contentious, you wouldn't be sitting in that chair.
00:15:59.000 How can you know that I'm self-censoring?
00:16:01.000 How can you know that you're self-censoring?
00:16:03.000 I'm sure you believe everything you're saying.
00:16:05.000 But what I'm saying is, if you believe something different, you wouldn't be sitting where you're sitting.
00:16:12.000 You've already been cycled.
00:16:13.000 In this instance, Chomsky observes that a British journalist, in this case, Andrew Marr, but I would say this is a general point, by the time you've gone through whatever institutions, academic and social, that lands you in the position of a journalist, You already think what they need you to think, otherwise, you're filtered out.
00:16:30.000 For some of us, this process began at school when you're first expelled and thrown out of schools.
00:16:35.000 That's when you first recognise you're not a person that's going to be in keeping with the institution, or you might be a military veteran who went into the army because you nobly and bravely believe in defending your nation and its inhabitants.
00:16:47.000 And then after having served a few tours in Afghanistan, Iraq, Northern Ireland, whatever, you realise, wait a minute, I'm actually serving the interests of powerful institutions that use as a Guys, you know, look after the vulnerable, but is in fact serving the interests of the powerful.
00:17:04.000 So the people that are in the throng, the paparazzi and the various journalists, right?
00:17:09.000 It's like a CIA sting.
00:17:11.000 I'm not suggesting this is a CIA sting, but in a CIA sting, there are so many participants that it becomes such a diffuse operation.
00:17:20.000 Yeah, or equally, we could go back to the Truman Show idea.
00:17:23.000 Oh, it's that, you know, actually, when there are reporters and things, and then when you open a door, it just Drops to a backstage area and everyone's having their makeup done.
00:17:31.000 Like you go through the wrong door and the elevator opens.
00:17:34.000 Actually, it's an elevator and the elevator has no shaft, it's just people behind it.
00:17:38.000 Well, from that perspective, though, that's deliberate conspiracy, isn't it?
00:17:42.000 Yes.
00:17:42.000 Like what Truman Show is describing is these participants knowingly are deceiving Truman.
00:17:48.000 Yeah.
00:17:49.000 Each of them, presumably under the auspices of there's nothing wrong with it, but they are deliberately.
00:17:55.000 What Chomsky is saying is it would be like the actors in the Truman Show also believing that they, yeah.
00:18:00.000 I mean, it's funny, we do keep coming back to these points and I think that.
00:18:03.000 Probably the reason this relates to, I think it's very easy to feel jolted in the world, jolted out of whatever, you know.
00:18:13.000 Like, if you're, for example, what, you know, why do we keep talking about these different realities?
00:18:18.000 Because you talk a lot about that, you know, you talk a lot about the deeper.
00:18:23.000 I do, but tell me what you think.
00:18:25.000 What I mean by it is that, you know, a couple of weeks now, at least, we've talked about the feeling of when you're in a, when you're living your life and things don't, then things don't feel, things go weird, like things don't feel real.
00:18:39.000 Ultimately, that does bring us back to the point about God because, you know, when I, for a moment in the sort of silence walking out of the court the other day, thought, oh my, I'm surprised at how sort of silent this is.
00:18:52.000 It's making me feel nervous that it's not loud.
00:18:54.000 So I suppose you've been in paparazzi positions.
00:18:57.000 I've been in those environments before and I've never liked it when it's shouty either, to be honest.
00:19:01.000 I never, I don't like it.
00:19:02.000 You would have gone to a lot of events with your father, who's a prominent and excellent soul.
00:19:05.000 Yeah, I'm also probably more like my sister.
00:19:07.000 Your sister, who's a successful.
00:19:08.000 Broadcaster.
00:19:09.000 Yes.
00:19:09.000 And I've had the experience.
00:19:11.000 And of course, your litany of famous former boyfriends.
00:19:14.000 No, no.
00:19:15.000 So, that is not true.
00:19:19.000 Stars are stage and screen.
00:19:21.000 No.
00:19:23.000 And field.
00:19:24.000 No.
00:19:24.000 Okay.
00:19:26.000 Moving swiftly on.
00:19:28.000 What's your point?
00:19:29.000 My point is this I know that the calmness could be jarring and it could be weird and it could feel like.
00:19:40.000 Eerie, or the calmness can feel exactly what it is meant to feel, which is calm and still and sort of holy.
00:19:49.000 That's what I'm trying to say.
00:19:50.000 When you walked slowly into court that first time, you said you took it slowly and you felt God with you walking every step, didn't you?
00:20:00.000 Yeah, by God's grace, something like never more than in the concentrated times of these challenges and trials, have I more felt the presence of God in the intensive care unit by our son, in the midst of allegations, walking into court.
00:20:16.000 I felt so close to God, so close.
00:20:20.000 Remember, we mention it every week.
00:20:22.000 Conform not to the patterns of this world, for they are merely patterns.
00:20:26.000 I'm adding that to Paul's great letter to the Romans.
00:20:28.000 Conform not to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
00:20:33.000 This world has a pattern.
00:20:34.000 As it says here in 1 John, John's first epistle, do not love the world or anything in the world.
00:20:39.000 If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
00:20:44.000 If the word Father is hard for you, consider the word source.
00:20:48.000 For everything in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, comes not from the Father.
00:20:54.000 But from the world.
00:20:56.000 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
00:21:01.000 We're looking, of course, to participate in eternity, not to deify the conditions here.
00:21:08.000 Check this out from the same letter.
00:21:11.000 We know that we are children of God and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
00:21:19.000 I mean, like before I became Christian, I did not know that that was the Christian position.
00:21:24.000 I'm a Christian.
00:21:25.000 Oh, good.
00:21:26.000 That means your position is this.
00:21:28.000 We know that we're the children of God and that the whole world, not nasty countries with swastikas or different colored skin or eye shaped, the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
00:21:43.000 We know also that the Son of God has come and given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true.
00:21:51.000 And we are in Him who is true by being in His Son, Jesus Christ.
00:21:55.000 He is the true God and eternal life, dear children.
00:21:58.000 Keep yourself from idols.
00:21:59.000 Precisely and specifically, he is saying the world is in control of evil, and the way into that is idolatry to worship something other than God.
00:22:09.000 Elsewhere, here, this is also from slightly earlier in Romans God did by sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering, and so he condemned sin in the flesh in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us.
00:22:29.000 Who do not live according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.
00:22:33.000 Those who live according to the flesh have their mindset on what the flesh desires, but those who live in accordance with the spirit have their mindset on what the spirit desires.
00:22:40.000 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the spirit is life and peace.
00:22:47.000 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God.
00:22:50.000 It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so.
00:22:54.000 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
00:22:57.000 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh, but are in the realm of the spirit, if indeed the spirit of God lives in you.
00:23:07.000 Realms.
00:23:08.000 You know, we'll go back to your never ending Truman Show fixation.
00:23:14.000 The realm of the Truman Show is an artificial construct that exists in order to trap, for the purposes of that film, a kind of a new Adam.
00:23:25.000 You can see out there, Ed Harris, the overlord of that universe, regards himself as the sort of creator of Truman.
00:23:31.000 And in fact, in a macabre way, Loves him.
00:23:35.000 A bit like in that film, How Mary.
00:23:37.000 Oh, yeah.
00:23:38.000 Where you see the beautiful Ryan Gosling reach to that alien creature.
00:23:44.000 There is a sense that beyond some sort of diaphanous, difficult to detect membrane, there is another reality permanently accessible.
00:23:52.000 The alternative is this is all of reality.
00:23:55.000 But I'm just watching a video now about, by sort of, I think he's a physicist, theoretical physicist, Framan is his last name at least, saying that our whole understanding of the behavior of light is erroneous.
00:24:08.000 Light is not sort of bouncing about or even really traveling.
00:24:12.000 And in a sense, that makes sense because if you, when the, The measurement that light travels at 187 million miles per second.
00:24:21.000 I mean, what am I supposed to do with that?
00:24:25.000 I know.
00:24:26.000 I mean, can you imagine five people in your head?
00:24:29.000 Can you imagine 10?
00:24:31.000 Can you imagine 20 people?
00:24:33.000 Can you imagine 50?
00:24:34.000 I bet it's like, are you sure it's 50, not 30?
00:24:36.000 Can you imagine 100?
00:24:37.000 Can you imagine 200?
00:24:38.000 Right?
00:24:39.000 Like, figure out the limitation of how to conceptualize vast numbers.
00:24:45.000 We're not designed for that.
00:24:46.000 We're designed to live in communities.
00:24:50.000 Of mutual dependency on our Lord God and one another.
00:24:54.000 We have been coaxed into a false reality, like the Truman Show, as Laura Brand would tell you, every 10 seconds if she had the chance.
00:25:02.000 But the way I see it is that the accuser, Clausenet, as it says in so many of the Psalms, he gives you a false identity, a false name.
00:25:09.000 He plants doubt in you.
00:25:11.000 He makes you doubt who you are and what you do and what you've done and what you believe.
00:25:15.000 And Jesus Christ says, I'm here for you whenever you want.
00:25:18.000 And I love you.
00:25:19.000 I've always loved you.
00:25:20.000 Come back, come back.
00:25:21.000 Which is Frank Skinner, the British comedian, tells an amazing story about after lapsing as a Catholic during his time of fame and revelry, etc.
00:25:29.000 We all know that story.
00:25:30.000 He said that he went, he was sort of called back to the church by something killing him.
00:25:34.000 And the day that he went to the church to sort of consult his priest, I guess, that priest was off duty and it was some like old guy.
00:25:43.000 And in my mind, I imagine some like Father Ted style, imported Jack.
00:25:49.000 Drink, sick, him.
00:25:52.000 But he wasn't, that's not the character, but just an older priest, you know.
00:25:55.000 And like Frank Skinner.
00:25:56.000 A very brilliant and erudite British comedian articulately described his sort of challenges with the catechism, etc.
00:26:04.000 Is it catechism or catechism?
00:26:05.000 You won't know, will you?
00:26:06.000 Catechism, I thought.
00:26:07.000 Does that sound right?
00:26:08.000 When I hear people saying it, it's catechism.
00:26:09.000 That's what they're saying.
00:26:11.000 Anyway, like, and all these complexity of the challenges the Roman Catholic Church or the Holy Church, the universal church, had been going through at that time.
00:26:21.000 And, like, oh, and was all being reasoned and trying to understand it, expecting a comparable and perhaps Aquinas like argument from the priest.
00:26:30.000 And the priest just went, Come back.
00:26:33.000 Come back.
00:26:34.000 I didn't.
00:26:34.000 It's not really.
00:26:36.000 Yeah, it's not intellectual.
00:26:37.000 Yeah, no, it's not.
00:26:38.000 I'm afraid it's going to do that.
00:26:39.000 We go back to the church.
00:26:40.000 And what I like about it, I said, Stop being silly.
00:26:42.000 Come on.
00:26:43.000 Come on.
00:26:44.000 Like when you're little.
00:26:45.000 Come on.
00:26:45.000 Come on.
00:26:46.000 It's all right.
00:26:46.000 That's why I need that a lot.
00:26:48.000 I know.
00:26:48.000 It's okay.
00:26:50.000 What do you mean you know?
00:26:51.000 No, I hold that down.
00:26:51.000 I'm stoic.
00:26:52.000 I'm a bit like Clint Eastwood.
00:26:56.000 I do know you do need that.
00:26:58.000 Do I?
00:26:58.000 You do, but how do you know that?
00:27:00.000 How do I know that you need to be.
00:27:02.000 Told that it's okay and that it's like, come on, let's go.
00:27:06.000 Right, it's time to eat now.
00:27:09.000 Look, let's unpack this position you're taking.
00:27:12.000 Like I'm like some codger, a codger, a geezer.
00:27:16.000 Just sometimes.
00:27:17.000 Am I in a wicker wheelchair with a blanket over my legs?
00:27:21.000 I'm in a wicker wheelchair with a blanket over my legs.
00:27:23.000 That's right.
00:27:24.000 That's what it feels like.
00:27:24.000 No, not at all.
00:27:26.000 You know what you're like.
00:27:28.000 Like the way that you know that I need, if I've cooked a meal, I like you to acknowledge the meal.
00:27:33.000 That's what's like, yeah, that could sound like I'm a bit of a.
00:27:36.000 Oh, man, that's the minimum.
00:27:37.000 I mean, that's basic manners, isn't it?
00:27:39.000 Yeah, it's basic manners.
00:27:40.000 Acknowledge it.
00:27:41.000 I praise it like.
00:27:42.000 You do praise it.
00:27:43.000 You praise it.
00:27:44.000 You praise it so much.
00:27:46.000 To the rafters.
00:27:47.000 It puts other people at the table to shame for not even mentioning it.
00:27:51.000 Yeah, no, you're very good at that.
00:27:52.000 You like a compliment, didn't you?
00:27:53.000 You like a bit of gratitude because you've done a favor.
00:27:55.000 I like gratitude for sure.
00:27:57.000 Yes, I do.
00:27:58.000 I do.
00:27:58.000 And I'm trying not to need it so much.
00:28:00.000 I think it's good because, do you know, that thing going back to that idea of, you know, it's better just to do things and not expect, you know, do it and don't expect that anything in return.
00:28:09.000 And like, you want reliance on God, don't you?
00:28:12.000 Reliance on God.
00:28:12.000 Reliance on God.
00:28:13.000 That's what I'm saying.
00:28:14.000 Nothing else.
00:28:15.000 It doesn't matter if someone says thank you.
00:28:16.000 I know some people that are like that, that they're holding.
00:28:19.000 I know, we do.
00:28:20.000 We do know people like that.
00:28:21.000 We've got to become more like them, lol.
00:28:23.000 You know, like rely on God.
00:28:24.000 God's, we get everything from the Lord.
00:28:27.000 We don't get things like, oh, I hope this person's going to like me and say nice things about me.
00:28:32.000 You want to get everything from the Lord, from the Lord.
00:28:35.000 Now, because you've started the topic of storms.
00:28:37.000 Oh, yeah.
00:28:38.000 I'm going to, in a way that's sort of a little, actually a little too pedestrian for my tastes.
00:28:44.000 Go on, because I've brought pedestrian storm ideas into it.
00:28:47.000 I don't think the idea of a storm is pedestrian.
00:28:49.000 I think.
00:28:50.000 Jesus in the storm is a pedestrian response to that.
00:28:52.000 I'm just going to change out of these clothes because I bought some other clothes earlier.
00:28:57.000 I feel, for some reason, I feel embarrassed about this.
00:28:59.000 That's fine.
00:29:00.000 Don't feel embarrassed.
00:29:00.000 And I go that way.
00:29:03.000 Don't talk to me like I'm in a wicker wheelchair.
00:29:05.000 I'm a competent, cogent man.
00:29:08.000 Okay.
00:29:08.000 All right.
00:29:09.000 Jesus calms the storm.
00:29:11.000 I'm a learned man of science.
00:29:12.000 I'm reading this bit, am I?
00:29:13.000 35.
00:29:14.000 Yeah.
00:29:14.000 Okay.
00:29:15.000 Wow.
00:29:17.000 Jesus calms the storm from Mark.
00:29:21.000 416.
00:29:22.000 Don't hesitate so much over the verses.
00:29:26.000 I do hesitate because sometimes it's difficult to read the numbers.
00:29:30.000 Now, right now, that day.
00:29:32.000 Go on, describe, say what you see.
00:29:33.000 I'm not saying what I see.
00:29:35.000 I will say what I see.
00:29:36.000 Right now, I'm fully nude off camera.
00:29:38.000 This is not, this is not, this is something.
00:29:41.000 What, on the eve of.
00:29:43.000 You'd have to be naked in your own home.
00:29:45.000 Of course you are.
00:29:45.000 There's nothing wrong with this.
00:29:46.000 In fact, there's nothing wrong with this at all.
00:29:48.000 It's just that it's difficult to read when you're speaking into the mic, but you're fully nude and you've asked me to read a passage.
00:29:54.000 From the Bible.
00:29:54.000 I'm now wearing the trousers.
00:29:56.000 Jesus calms the storm.
00:29:58.000 That day, when evening came, he said to his disciples, Let us go over to the other side.
00:30:04.000 Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat.
00:30:09.000 There were also other boats with him.
00:30:11.000 A furious squall.
00:30:13.000 Oh.
00:30:13.000 Storm, different word, isn't it?
00:30:14.000 I don't know that.
00:30:15.000 Wow.
00:30:15.000 Squall.
00:30:16.000 Squall.
00:30:17.000 Yeah, it's interesting.
00:30:18.000 A furious squall came up and the waves broke over the boat so that it was nearly swamped.
00:30:24.000 Jesus was in the stern.
00:30:26.000 Sleeping on a cushion.
00:30:27.000 The disciples woke him and said to him, Teacher, don't you care if we drown?
00:30:33.000 He got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, Quiet, be still.
00:30:40.000 Then the wind died down, and it was completely calm.
00:30:44.000 He said to his disciples, Why are you so afraid?
00:30:48.000 Do you still have no faith?
00:30:51.000 They were terrified and asked each other, Who is this?
00:30:55.000 Even the wind and waves obey him.
00:30:59.000 That's good.
00:30:59.000 And funny enough, that was what.
00:31:02.000 And he arose and rebuked the wind and said unto the sea, Peace be still.
00:31:05.000 The wind ceased and there was a great calm.
00:31:08.000 So I had pulled that as one reference.
00:31:11.000 Because, of course, I suppose the way this is used pastorally is we might be afraid or panicking.
00:31:20.000 And you might think, well, where's Jesus?
00:31:25.000 He's asleep on the boat.
00:31:26.000 He's not present.
00:31:27.000 The vessel that floats upon the infinite.
00:31:30.000 Or floats upon the chaos.
00:31:31.000 Often, water means chaos in the image system that we will find in here.
00:31:40.000 By the way, I also like that the verse starts in the NLT, at least, or NIV.
00:31:48.000 That day, when evening came, he said to his disciples, Let's go to the other side, leaving the crowd behind.
00:31:56.000 I sort of see that as a sort of, maybe a cultist isn't the right word, but esoteric, like he's going to take it up a gear, especially as it's just in front of, in the order of Mark's gospel, at least.
00:32:10.000 The mustard seed parable, where Jesus says, What should we say the kingdom of God is like?
00:32:15.000 Or what parable should we use to describe it?
00:32:17.000 It's like a mustard seed.
00:32:18.000 Look how many layers of simile and metaphor there are.
00:32:20.000 It's questioning.
00:32:21.000 Then he says, It's like this the mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth.
00:32:27.000 When planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants with such big branches that the birds can parch in its shade.
00:32:34.000 With many similar parables, Jesus spoke the words to them as much as they could understand.
00:32:38.000 He did not say anything to them without using parable.
00:32:40.000 But when he was alone with his own disciples, Explained everything.
00:32:43.000 That's why I think him going to the other side in precisely that context has implications beyond sort of the geographical travel across the Sea of Galilee or wherever it might have been.
00:32:54.000 Also, he goes on in Mark's gospel there to cast out the demon, the demonic entity, Legion.
00:33:01.000 Oh, yeah.
00:33:02.000 From the man that was possessed, casting them out into pigs.
00:33:07.000 Scientologists, of course, believe that thetans inhabit the earth, the souls of dead creatures.
00:33:11.000 The book of Enoch talks about the Nephilim once.
00:33:16.000 Slain by the deluge, their souls.
00:33:19.000 I know you're not listening to me.
00:33:20.000 I can tell you.
00:33:21.000 I'm listening.
00:33:21.000 The legions, the souls, the Nephilim.
00:33:23.000 Sounds when I'm looking.
00:33:24.000 Not the Nephilim, it's the Nephilim.
00:33:26.000 Sounds when I'm looking.
00:33:27.000 I'm not listening.
00:33:27.000 I know that.
00:33:28.000 I'm trying my best.
00:33:29.000 I know.
00:33:29.000 I can see you're trying, but I do also know you're not listening.
00:33:31.000 It's hard to find a number in a book.
00:33:32.000 Well, do you know what I was just trying to find?
00:33:34.000 The Psalms, but your stickers, which are very, very well done, the chapter stickers, they were piled on top of each other to a degree that the one thing I couldn't find was Psalms.
00:33:45.000 Anyway, I just wanted to maybe read that, maybe later.
00:33:48.000 Can I turn the Off this page now.
00:33:50.000 Yeah, do what you want.
00:33:51.000 Okay, cool.
00:33:51.000 I just want to say that you're going to do a psalm then.
00:33:54.000 It's a long one.
00:33:55.000 What is it?
00:33:56.000 107.
00:33:56.000 Oh, yeah.
00:33:59.000 It is a whopper.
00:34:00.000 That's all right.
00:34:01.000 We'll do that.
00:34:02.000 Sorry about that.
00:34:02.000 It's an accident.
00:34:04.000 That's all right.
00:34:05.000 I still think do it.
00:34:06.000 Anyway, I just like that passage.
00:34:07.000 The mustard seed is like about when you go into this new realm of conscious being in His Holy Spirit, it starts off small but becomes all encompassing.
00:34:17.000 The next part is.
00:34:19.000 Let's go to the other side.
00:34:20.000 If you're part of the elite esoteric crew that's going to make this, remember not everyone's coming.
00:34:25.000 Minimum 30%, a maximum 50% of the world's population are not going to survive the events that, by my reckoning, are upon us.
00:34:33.000 And certainly over the next 10, 20 years are going to play out.
00:34:36.000 Look up Event 2030, which is likely going to be a significant movement forward.
00:34:42.000 So our Lord says, you know, having established this idea that you're going to enter into a realm, a reality that's bigger than the reality you've ever inhabited before, but at First, it's going to be a very small thing, in fact, as small as you can conceive of with your limited understanding of the natural world.
00:34:56.000 Let's use the mustard seed, he said, having qualified that it wasn't quite what he meant several times.
00:35:01.000 Then he takes them to the other side.
00:35:03.000 In taking them to the other side, there is an enormous storm.
00:35:07.000 If you are going to follow him, expect storms.
00:35:10.000 If you're finally realised the world is not enough for you, that you don't really care for it here very much, you might love people, you might love situations, you might even love some artifacts of the culture, but you, like us, May have realized that the world is broken, it's fallen, and as it says in John's first epistle, is in the thrall of the evil one.
00:35:26.000 It's not like, well, there's one or two bad apples.
00:35:29.000 The world is controlled by evil.
00:35:31.000 That's not all Russ.
00:35:32.000 That's all John.
00:35:34.000 Saint John, to give him his correct and much deserved title.
00:35:40.000 So, after he has taken them to the other side, the experience is the storm, but the Lord is with you in the storm.
00:35:45.000 Whatever storm you're experiencing, Jesus is there.
00:35:48.000 In fact, he's pretty chilled about it.
00:35:49.000 He might even, in his human form, in his human body, have dozed off.
00:35:54.000 I mean, is he in that human form still?
00:35:56.000 Of course, he became flesh.
00:35:57.000 He was saying before flesh, then he was flesh, then he transcended into a new identity in a new body.
00:36:02.000 So, the Lord alone knows how such a fraction.
00:36:05.000 Reality could even continue to exist.
00:36:07.000 Nevertheless, the next thing that happens is he casts out demons after he has calmed the storm.
00:36:13.000 As C.S. Lewis remarked, any storm stops eventually.
00:36:19.000 So stopping a storm is not miraculous.
00:36:22.000 And you and I can control a storm by closing a window or battening down the old hatches.
00:36:26.000 But our Lord, the incarnation of all potentiality, simultaneously embodied in a single human entity, can command the storm.
00:36:36.000 Praise Jesus.
00:36:38.000 So, anyway, I'm just saying that that passage is good because it takes you from the journey of the first seed, which I experienced in the fields near here.
00:36:43.000 Yeah, well, I was going to ask you about that.
00:36:45.000 Well, yeah, sorry, I'll shut up.
00:36:46.000 How did it feel walking those fields the other night with our friend?
00:36:53.000 Did you really want to ask that question?
00:36:54.000 Yes, I've been waiting to ask it, but there's not been a moment.
00:36:57.000 I feel like I've talked too much.
00:36:58.000 I'm asking you directly a question.
00:37:00.000 How did it feel walking in the fields the other night and being able to show one of our friends?
00:37:07.000 This is where the advice came to me.
00:37:11.000 It was cool because a lot of things happened on that little walk.
00:37:14.000 That was a dark time when you were kept in hospital with our herbie for four days because they wouldn't let you leave because they wanted to keep him under observation.
00:37:23.000 And when our daughters were away with their grandparents in order to protect them from the clickering, snackering, snickering paparazzi around the end of the lane like locusts, like peculiar concoctions, not fully human.
00:37:35.000 And, um, To be back in the field where I was with our beloved bear, like it was, I sort of saw all those places and felt all those feelings and a discourse, an inner discourse that I now recognise to be theophanic the intervention of God, the cross in the belly.
00:37:52.000 Oh, yeah.
00:37:53.000 See to the point of the mustard seed, the storm, and then the casting out of demons.
00:37:58.000 I sort of felt like, oh, look, as C.S. Lewis again says, once you accept God, you'll know that you'll see how he was always there, always guiding you, inevitably.
00:38:08.000 To the actualization of him.
00:38:11.000 How it felt to be in those fields, Law was like something is coming to an end, a significant chapter.
00:38:19.000 Like we, of course, this was a real storm in our lives.
00:38:23.000 Of course, it has been.
00:38:24.000 And my prayer is that everybody involved is blessed by this situation.
00:38:28.000 And only the God of the impossible can find a route to that.
00:38:31.000 And it feels like it's, yeah, coming to an end.
00:38:33.000 And do you feel, do you still feel the grief of being in the fields without Bear?
00:38:39.000 Do you feel the grief of being in the fields without Bear?
00:38:42.000 No, because it's like a mustard seed.
00:38:44.000 It's like I don't live in that reality anymore.
00:38:46.000 Right.
00:38:47.000 And indeed, Bear was a sort of a ferryman, pivotal, cathartic figure in my journey to Christ.
00:38:55.000 In fact, when people say you have a personal relationship with Jesus, they don't, it's so personal.
00:39:01.000 And I was reflecting that with the identity politics movement, which is focused on the nuance of a particular identity, whether that's racially, ethnically, or your sexual identity.
00:39:11.000 Even though one side considers it ridiculous to distill identity into this criteria of some might argue arbitrary cultural factors, and others might say important and defining cultural factors, the truth is that you are more particular and more specific than that.
00:39:27.000 Like God loves you as if you're the only person in the world.
00:39:29.000 So, even if you've got a lot of interesting data, like, you know, interesting and unusual bodily requirements and complexions and sexual preferences, you are way more than that.
00:39:40.000 And you are way beyond that.
00:39:42.000 And it's this fallen world that wants you to identify with its pattern.
00:39:46.000 But we conform not to the pattern of this world.
00:39:49.000 And so, what it's like is, oh, yeah, I'm not that man anymore that walked those fields with Bear.
00:39:54.000 He's what I got from Bear.
00:39:56.000 Because think about it any of us, when you love an animal like Jericho, you're back with your beloved cat Jericho.
00:40:01.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:40:01.000 Probably your first familiar, your first animal that you really loved, maybe.
00:40:06.000 Unless you had a child, a dog.
00:40:07.000 But I remember your dad.
00:40:08.000 I know you did.
00:40:09.000 Yeah, I know.
00:40:10.000 The first real bond was Jericho.
00:40:15.000 And like back with her, what is that intimacy?
00:40:17.000 What is that intimacy?
00:40:19.000 What is it that you feel when you look at them?
00:40:22.000 What is it you feel they may feel when looking at you?
00:40:25.000 I know.
00:40:25.000 Like, what about when you know hardened people, like men in their 70s that have shot their whole life, let me shoot dogs?
00:40:31.000 And those are mistaken shoots with dogs.
00:40:33.000 Yeah.
00:40:33.000 My uncle Jim, I'm thinking of here.
00:40:35.000 100%.
00:40:35.000 And then fell so in love with his final dog, Sky.
00:40:41.000 And it's pulling something out of him.
00:40:43.000 A bit like I went to the supermarket earlier, and it was an experience that at one point I had to stop, and I was sort of walking behind by the counter that does the rotisserie chicken and stuff.
00:40:56.000 And it was a supermarket.
00:40:57.000 I hadn't ever actually been in this specific one before, but the brand is the one that you might go to around in this area.
00:41:05.000 Fancy.
00:41:05.000 Waitrose.
00:41:06.000 A lot of people don't know the significance.
00:41:08.000 Of supermarkets.
00:41:09.000 No, I had to explain this to the.
00:41:12.000 Who did I explain this to?
00:41:13.000 An American friend, Sarah, the other day.
00:41:15.000 I was like, oh, there's these different types of supermarkets.
00:41:17.000 This one's the high end one.
00:41:19.000 You've got Whole Foods, which you know about because you've got them in America, super expensive, and you can only go there for certain items.
00:41:24.000 Then there's the Waitrose, which is more mainstream.
00:41:26.000 Then there's the ones that are less expensive but good.
00:41:30.000 Asda is Walmart.
00:41:31.000 Yeah, Asda's Walmart.
00:41:32.000 Target is Tesco.
00:41:33.000 Our kids' favourite, Asda.
00:41:35.000 Target is Tesco.
00:41:37.000 No, that's not right at all.
00:41:40.000 There's no Target.
00:41:42.000 What was it?
00:41:43.000 CNA in the old days, Debenhams.
00:41:45.000 There's no Target.
00:41:46.000 That Target's totally different.
00:41:48.000 That is not Tesco's.
00:41:49.000 We can bicker and argue about equivalency between American grocery stores and British supermarkets all you like.
00:41:55.000 But I will be dead in the cold, cold dirt before I let anyone say there's an equivalent to Marks Spencer.
00:42:03.000 There isn't.
00:42:04.000 Anywhere in the world.
00:42:05.000 There isn't.
00:42:06.000 There is no equivalent.
00:42:07.000 Standalone.
00:42:08.000 Anyway, I was in this Waitrose and it was not one I'd been in before.
00:42:11.000 But the.
00:42:12.000 Smell of the Waitrose supermarket and the smell of the rotisserie chicken and the feeling of English people, like being around British people, like the cut, yeah.
00:42:23.000 And a feeling like I could bump into someone I knew from my past, like just because of being in, not have we haven't been, you know, we haven't been living here.
00:42:32.000 I got like almost like a nostalgia nausea.
00:42:36.000 Like it was like a feeling of like, oh my God, nostalgia, nostalgia.
00:42:41.000 And what it was, it felt like I. What it was, was the Christmas decorations were up.
00:42:48.000 There was Halloween section, there was Christmas, there was the smell of the roasting chicken, which smelled a bit like a Sunday meal.
00:42:55.000 And for a moment, I was like, whoa, like that, it came over me like almost my childhood, my teens, my 20s.
00:43:03.000 It was like in the supermarket earlier today.
00:43:06.000 I got like a wave of nostalgia to a degree that it was like, I'm not sure I can carry on shopping.
00:43:16.000 This world was not made for one as beautiful as you.
00:43:20.000 You'd be found laying down in the aisle.
00:43:22.000 What's wrong with this lady?
00:43:24.000 Is it an aneurysm?
00:43:25.000 No, it's nostalgia.
00:43:27.000 A new advanced form called nostalgia, where nausea and nostalgia blend.
00:43:33.000 And she's, I'm afraid, gone down like a sack of spuds.
00:43:36.000 She's gone down as if shot.
00:43:38.000 Yeah.
00:43:39.000 That's it.
00:43:40.000 She's out.
00:43:41.000 What can we do?
00:43:41.000 Fetch the smelling salts.
00:43:43.000 I did need smelling salts.
00:43:45.000 I needed smelling salts.
00:43:47.000 I was.
00:43:48.000 You nearly went down with it.
00:43:49.000 Can you say that I'm the one in the wicker wheelchair?
00:43:52.000 I don't go down for nostalgia.
00:43:55.000 I walked straight through that nostalgia.
00:43:58.000 Like, think of the things like Upton Park, West Ham United, Morrissey the Smiths, all my childhood pets.
00:44:03.000 I just marched right on.
00:44:05.000 Not like you, like Marcel Proust.
00:44:06.000 That's the correct reference.
00:44:07.000 I got dizzy with nostalgia.
00:44:10.000 You're talking over my Marcel Proust's.
00:44:13.000 I don't know who that is.
00:44:14.000 Proust is a French writer.
00:44:15.000 Oh, yeah, Proust.
00:44:16.000 I thought you were still on.
00:44:17.000 I thought this might have been a footballer for a moment.
00:44:19.000 You thought Proust was a footballer, did you?
00:44:22.000 I thought that Proust.
00:44:23.000 Marcel Proust, of course.
00:44:25.000 He plays for Paris Saint Germain.
00:44:26.000 He's a free kick specialist.
00:44:28.000 Yeah.
00:44:29.000 And also because I actually thought it was Proust.
00:44:31.000 Well, I mean, you're doubly wrong there.
00:44:33.000 He's Proust.
00:44:34.000 Proust, okay, good.
00:44:35.000 And he never played for Monaco, Paris Saint-Michel, Paris Saint-Michel, or Lille.
00:44:44.000 No, good.
00:44:45.000 Okay, so yeah, go on.
00:44:46.000 What's nostalgic about that?
00:44:48.000 Well, Tim was nostalgic about it.
00:44:49.000 He's the very person that first put to print that when he smelled a particular type of cake, the Magdalene, that it would take him back at once to his childhood.
00:44:58.000 That's what's relevant about it, it's the absolute cast iron correct literary reference for one site.
00:45:05.000 For what you're doing.
00:45:05.000 That's very good.
00:45:06.000 Almost to the point of being pedantic.
00:45:08.000 Yeah, no, it's very good.
00:45:09.000 I'm glad of that reference.
00:45:10.000 Go on.
00:45:10.000 So you were overcome with nostalgia by the rotisserie chicken.
00:45:13.000 Is this going anywhere?
00:45:15.000 Or is that the whole story?
00:45:16.000 That's the whole story.
00:45:16.000 I can't cope with the aroma of food in the supermarket without clapping to the ground.
00:45:22.000 You're the mysterious woman in yellow.
00:45:24.000 You are.
00:45:24.000 I know.
00:45:24.000 I think there should be a new item on Zondi Supplement.
00:45:26.000 Mysterious woman in yellow.
00:45:28.000 Zondi Supplement.
00:45:29.000 Shit.
00:45:30.000 If only I didn't have dementia.
00:45:31.000 I was winning then, weren't I?
00:45:32.000 That's the wicker one.
00:45:32.000 I was winning.
00:45:33.000 And then I'm back in my wheelchair.
00:45:35.000 Little boy from the secret garden.
00:45:37.000 Right, go on.
00:45:38.000 Yeah, what's the.
00:45:39.000 What's the section?
00:45:41.000 Woman in Yellow.
00:45:42.000 Mystery Woman in Yellow.
00:45:43.000 Plus Man in a Wicker Wheelchair.
00:45:46.000 Let's change the name of the podcast.
00:45:47.000 Hello and welcome to.
00:45:49.000 Russell did say to me.
00:45:50.000 No, I'm going to finish this item.
00:45:51.000 Oh, Massiel, put it in.
00:45:52.000 Okay, great.
00:45:53.000 Be quiet.
00:45:54.000 Remember.
00:45:55.000 Mystery Woman.
00:45:56.000 Hello and welcome to Mystery Woman in Yellow with Man in a Wicker Wheelchair.
00:46:12.000 And then Massey will put in the same thing, and they'll put that as Sunday service instead of with the brands, with Mystery Woman in Yellow.
00:46:20.000 And I would do it so that the words were appearing as if they were being typed, the last ones, but I wouldn't do the noise.
00:46:23.000 That would be too much.
00:46:24.000 But please tell me.
00:46:25.000 Leave and leave this in.
00:46:26.000 What is the segment?
00:46:30.000 That's like our autoregos and our identities.
00:46:32.000 I mean, when you were described as a Mystery Woman in Yellow, how did you feel about that?
00:46:37.000 Well, I was confused by it.
00:46:39.000 Because they must have known that's his wife.
00:46:41.000 Yes.
00:46:42.000 Definitely confused.
00:46:44.000 That doesn't sound right when you're trying to deliberately create a certain impression of someone.
00:46:47.000 Mystery woman in yellow.
00:46:48.000 Yes.
00:46:49.000 Yeah, exactly.
00:46:50.000 Better.
00:46:51.000 Better.
00:46:51.000 Much better.
00:46:52.000 No, I was confused.
00:46:53.000 They knew you were my wife when they were saying, leave him.
00:46:56.000 Yeah.
00:46:56.000 Then they knew.
00:46:58.000 Oh, for sure.
00:46:59.000 Well, guess what?
00:46:59.000 I didn't.
00:47:00.000 How do you feel about that?
00:47:02.000 Oh, wow.
00:47:02.000 You got your gander up.
00:47:04.000 Yeah.
00:47:05.000 I'll get the gander up for that for sure.
00:47:08.000 I felt confused.
00:47:11.000 I wouldn't give them the pleasure of thinking I was offended.
00:47:15.000 Because it simply wasn't offensive.
00:47:17.000 It was just like, it was just ill, ill.
00:47:21.000 What would it be like?
00:47:22.000 Thoughtless.
00:47:23.000 It was, it was, it was contrived.
00:47:24.000 It was contrived, but it was like, it's like, yeah, so not thoughtless.
00:47:28.000 It would be the opposite of thoughtless.
00:47:30.000 But we'll pray.
00:47:30.000 Too much thought.
00:47:32.000 Too much thought, actually.
00:47:33.000 Contrived.
00:47:34.000 Contrived.
00:47:35.000 It was, yeah.
00:47:36.000 So deliberate, transparent.
00:47:38.000 Transparent.
00:47:41.000 Yeah, that's it, really.
00:47:42.000 And almost exactly what I would imagine that they would do.
00:47:47.000 All right, but what were you going to say?
00:47:48.000 But what's the segment?
00:47:49.000 No, I'm asking you.
00:47:50.000 Oh, what happens in that segment?
00:47:51.000 Yeah, that's the point of this.
00:47:53.000 What is the segment?
00:47:55.000 Okay.
00:47:56.000 Well, all right, now we've fixed ourselves into segment.
00:47:59.000 Well, I think it should be.
00:48:01.000 I mean, it's difficult to tie it ontologically to this concept, and I'm not going to do that.
00:48:08.000 I'm just going to read some of this daily reading from this book about St. Therese of Les Sous, 33 Days of Merciful Love, a do it yourself retreat.
00:48:19.000 Yeah.
00:48:20.000 Day four, and that's what that is in this.
00:48:22.000 Okay.
00:48:22.000 Mary's Pilgrimage of Faith.
00:48:26.000 This is the blessing of.
00:48:31.000 Actually, I think I might be on.
00:48:32.000 No, sorry.
00:48:33.000 Yeah, I'm on five.
00:48:34.000 I'm on five.
00:48:34.000 Sorry.
00:48:35.000 You've got to come with me on this.
00:48:36.000 And it's all right because the segments are work in progress.
00:48:39.000 I'd say.
00:48:40.000 It's, I think, should be scrapped.
00:48:42.000 I do too.
00:48:43.000 I don't think this segment's got.
00:48:45.000 I just think it was one off joke really for the name.
00:48:47.000 I know, but then I think.
00:48:49.000 You then have to now like pursue it for the rest of your life.
00:48:51.000 We could just retreat back from it.
00:48:52.000 Yeah, retreat.
00:48:53.000 Retreat.
00:48:53.000 We're retreating.
00:48:54.000 Carry on.
00:48:54.000 Day five.
00:48:55.000 Mary's trial of faith.
00:48:56.000 Just as Abraham's pilgrimage of faith met its ultimate test when he was called to sacrifice Isaac, so Mary's pilgrimage of faith met a similar test.
00:49:04.000 Now, you'll love this as a mother because we know how central he is to you, that boy.
00:49:08.000 I know you love our daughters, but I know that Herbie, being a son who's had heart surgery, was a real sweetheart when I took him out to jujitsu today and a real little darling in the calf.
00:49:18.000 Gorgeous little thing.
00:49:19.000 He's cold all the time.
00:49:20.000 My hands are cold.
00:49:21.000 My hands are cold.
00:49:21.000 He's never been cold.
00:49:22.000 He's never been cold.
00:49:23.000 He doesn't understand it.
00:49:25.000 So, this is a conjuring that aspect of all mothers that has the divinity of Mother Mary in it.
00:49:30.000 However, while Abraham ultimately did not have to go through with the sacrifice, Mary had to watch and be present during the torture and slaughter of her dearly beloved son all the way to his agonizing end.
00:49:41.000 She had to stand and consent to the immolation of the victim.
00:49:45.000 She had to remain there in faith, hoping it's hope.
00:49:47.000 It was there on Calvary, at the foot of the cross, that we find Mary in the glorious perfection of faith.
00:49:54.000 It was there.
00:49:56.000 In the midst of the most terrible darkness, that we paradoxically see the luminous blessing of Elizabeth, blessed is she, and that is chosen by God.
00:50:05.000 Blessed art thou.
00:50:07.000 Elizabeth, her sister, who herself gave birth to John the Baptist, and I think is an echo of Abraham and Sarah, certainly in so much as that they belatedly sire a child when they're sort of post reproductive.
00:50:23.000 Blessing of Elizabeth shine forth with ever greater glory.
00:50:26.000 Blessed is she who believed that what was spoken to her by the Lord would be fulfilled.
00:50:31.000 Yet blessed is she who believed at the foot of the cross.
00:50:33.000 Blessed is she who believed in the impossible.
00:50:35.000 Blessed is she who believed that God was able to raise.
00:50:38.000 Men, even from the dead.
00:50:40.000 That's Hebrews 11, 19.
00:50:42.000 That is faith.
00:50:43.000 Again, that is the glorious perfection of faith.
00:50:45.000 That is the greatest light of faith, which shines amid the deepest darkness.
00:50:48.000 Now, ponder once again the words of the angel that Our Lady believed regarding her son Jesus.
00:50:53.000 He will be great, says Gabriel.
00:50:57.000 And the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever in his kingdom.
00:51:02.000 And of his kingdom there will be no end.
00:51:07.000 Oh, look, I've read that now.
00:51:09.000 It's good.
00:51:10.000 Where do you get this from?
00:51:11.000 What is this book?
00:51:12.000 Me and Joe were out, and Joe was jonesing for a confession and a Eucharist.
00:51:18.000 And he was actually moaning about it.
00:51:21.000 He was moaning about it.
00:51:23.000 Like how I imagine he would once have moaned about needing a drink or take drugs.
00:51:27.000 Right.
00:51:28.000 I've got to have a Eucharist.
00:51:30.000 I've got to have a Eucharist.
00:51:31.000 I go, I'll get you a Eucharist now.
00:51:33.000 Oh, my God.
00:51:34.000 You were scoring a Eucharist.
00:51:35.000 We were scoring a Eucharist.
00:51:37.000 Oh, my goodness.
00:51:37.000 We went straight around the vicar's house, not vicar, father's.
00:51:40.000 Yeah.
00:51:42.000 And as I did that, Joe went and he says, Men's.
00:51:44.000 Because it was their house.
00:51:46.000 And on a Sunday.
00:51:47.000 On a Sunday, but not during Mass times.
00:51:49.000 He goes, I thought, get a Mass at the normal Mass times, Joe was saying.
00:51:52.000 Anyway, priest opened the door.
00:51:54.000 Yeah.
00:51:55.000 Collar undone.
00:51:56.000 Oh, it's you.
00:51:57.000 Come in.
00:51:58.000 We go in.
00:51:58.000 Joe goes in.
00:51:59.000 I go, mate needs a confession and a Eucharist.
00:52:01.000 I could do with just a blessing.
00:52:03.000 It was like, I'll get two white, two brown, and a bag of weed.
00:52:06.000 This is hilarious.
00:52:08.000 Some molly, Percocets.
00:52:10.000 Oh my gosh.
00:52:10.000 I'll take a confession, a Eucharist.
00:52:12.000 Yeah.
00:52:12.000 Anyway, that sat down, and there was an older.
00:52:14.000 Priest, Father Michael, beautiful fella, the main priest of the house was cooking the dinner.
00:52:19.000 Lovely.
00:52:20.000 With dog collar arse as well.
00:52:22.000 And then I was taken to the library, and the lovely Father Michael gave me this 33 Days to Merciful Love, as well as a book on Julian of Norwich, as well as another book on my soul and my heart.
00:52:33.000 And also the presence of God, practicing the presence of God.
00:52:36.000 But it's a different style.
00:52:38.000 Yeah, lovely.
00:52:38.000 So some pretty great saints.
00:52:40.000 That's nice.
00:52:41.000 That we may emulate.
00:52:42.000 Well, it looks like a lovely book.
00:52:44.000 Yeah, I've been reading it every day.
00:52:46.000 I like that it's 33 days because I love that number, you know.
00:52:48.000 Yes.
00:52:49.000 33 years on the throne for David, 33 years of life for our Lord, 33 vertebrae in our spine.
00:52:54.000 Maybe that's what I'll do in the section Wicker Wheelchair and Mystery Woman in Yellow.
00:52:58.000 Now, what were you about to say?
00:52:59.000 You're about to say something.
00:53:00.000 It's a while ago.
00:53:01.000 We can even wrap up now.
00:53:02.000 Yeah, I was going to go to comments and then maybe read this and then you could pray.
00:53:05.000 Can you remember what you were going to say when I started that item and you got sort of two in it?
00:53:08.000 First, you tried to disrupt it, then you.
00:53:11.000 I'm the item disruptor.
00:53:13.000 I didn't condemn it.
00:53:14.000 I was inquiring as to what it was going to be about because it felt a bit aimless.
00:53:18.000 You crate it, strangle it in the crib.
00:53:20.000 Okay.
00:53:22.000 All right, so we're going to read some comments now for Sunday service.
00:53:25.000 Well, why?
00:53:26.000 I know.
00:53:26.000 That could be the comment.
00:53:27.000 That's it.
00:53:27.000 Brilliant.
00:53:28.000 Right, here we go.
00:53:28.000 Let's start again.
00:53:29.000 No, all right, yeah.
00:53:31.000 Time now for Mystery Woman in Yellow and Man in a Wicker Wheelchair.
00:53:35.000 Take two.
00:53:37.000 We have some lovely comments this week.
00:53:39.000 You rushed into it off the back of the car.
00:53:41.000 Oh my God.
00:53:42.000 I'm not joking.
00:53:42.000 I'm joking.
00:53:43.000 Okay, right.
00:53:44.000 Okay, good.
00:53:47.000 Quite a few people, because I actually was a little bit unwell in the last episode.
00:53:51.000 It actually came over me in the Sunday service.
00:53:54.000 I started getting a sore throat.
00:53:55.000 Quite a few people were actually concerned about me, which is very kind.
00:53:58.000 Thank you.
00:53:59.000 I'm fine.
00:54:00.000 And I didn't feel there was nothing wrong with you.
00:54:02.000 No, well, yes.
00:54:03.000 Well, you were the one that commented on it.
00:54:04.000 You said my eyes were starting to water.
00:54:06.000 Anyway.
00:54:06.000 Oh, yeah, no, that did.
00:54:07.000 It came on strong.
00:54:09.000 Also, we saw a deer.
00:54:11.000 So, a couple of people.
00:54:12.000 That was cool.
00:54:13.000 That was so beautiful.
00:54:14.000 We saw a deer in the middle of one of the readings and we filmed it.
00:54:17.000 And you can watch it last week's episode.
00:54:19.000 We cut to the mobile phone footage of a beautiful deer grazing in the garden.
00:54:23.000 So, a lot of people really liked this.
00:54:26.000 At JackieMoon4587, I love this show so much.
00:54:30.000 It's my church.
00:54:31.000 I pray for you to all get through this difficult time.
00:54:36.000 I spent five years in prison and I know what it's like to.
00:54:38.000 Be waiting for possible imprisonment and the huge pressure it places on your loved ones.
00:54:43.000 You will get through it.
00:54:44.000 Iron sharpens iron.
00:54:45.000 The presence of God is everywhere in prison as well, in a way I've never felt anywhere else.
00:54:51.000 I'm thinking of you all and send love to you all, to all involved in the process.
00:54:56.000 Yeah.
00:54:57.000 Yes.
00:54:57.000 I don't like things where it's like you might have to go to prison.
00:55:00.000 No, I know, but that's just the nature of what a trial is.
00:55:03.000 That's just the nature of what a trial is.
00:55:04.000 Trial that carries a custodial sentence.
00:55:06.000 That's right.
00:55:07.000 It's not to say that's one of the challenges.
00:55:09.000 Exactly.
00:55:09.000 It's one of the challenges.
00:55:11.000 And what this lovely person, Jackie Moore.
00:55:13.000 Who am I?
00:55:13.000 Do you know what I thought when we were in?
00:55:15.000 Before you go on with this, I want to say this.
00:55:18.000 When we first heard the news in that scan that Herbie was going to have diff, like, you know, I said, is this ever going to be nothing again?
00:55:26.000 And the doctor said, no, this is something.
00:55:29.000 We don't know what it is and it's serious.
00:55:31.000 And you might want to get into the termination type vibes.
00:55:33.000 Yeah.
00:55:33.000 And then eventually the flat out offer of that.
00:55:37.000 I remember saying to you, I'm not going to Great Ormond Street, Law, famous hospital like Fink St. Jude's, America.
00:55:42.000 Not going to Great Ormond Street.
00:55:44.000 Not going to Great Ormond Street, kid with tubes up his nose.
00:55:46.000 I'm not doing all that.
00:55:47.000 I don't know what I was saying because I wasn't saying get a termination.
00:55:50.000 I know.
00:55:51.000 But I was like, I was rejecting it.
00:55:53.000 You were rejecting it.
00:55:54.000 Then I remember the idea of it.
00:55:56.000 Then I recall being in Great Ormond Street and being among ill children and grieving parents and dedicated medical staff.
00:56:09.000 And it came.
00:56:10.000 Now I recognise the voice.
00:56:14.000 Who are you to say you're not going to Great Ormond Street?
00:56:18.000 It came while I was at Great Ormond Street.
00:56:19.000 Who do you think you are to not go Great Ormond Street?
00:56:22.000 Who do I think I am to not go to prison?
00:56:24.000 I go where you want.
00:56:28.000 Prison, not prison, centre parks, Legoland, Universal, Disney.
00:56:34.000 The idea here is that there's a lot of people.
00:56:35.000 Jerusalem, Gaza.
00:56:37.000 Gosh, okay.
00:56:38.000 I have a storm.
00:56:39.000 And did you know that at the.
00:56:41.000 Go on.
00:56:42.000 No matter how big the storm is, Now, this is.
00:56:45.000 Now, hold on to your hats if you want.
00:56:46.000 I want to.
00:56:47.000 Now, the eye of the stall, it's eerie, God.
00:56:54.000 You've been practicing that recently.
00:56:55.000 You're not to do it on me.
00:56:57.000 That.
00:56:58.000 It's because Jack Nicholson does it.
00:56:59.000 In as good as it gets.
00:57:01.000 I get confused to this day.
00:57:02.000 Jack Nicholson, yeah.
00:57:03.000 Yeah.
00:57:04.000 In a.
00:57:04.000 No, not in as good as it gets.
00:57:06.000 Oh, in one flu of the cuckoosness, yes, of course.
00:57:07.000 Cuckoosness, when they go, hey, you want to be careful, you might get caught.
00:57:12.000 Yeah.
00:57:13.000 Anyway, I mean, all the.
00:57:15.000 All these are the same.
00:57:16.000 It's people wishing you well, Russell.
00:57:17.000 They know that there's a trial coming up.
00:57:19.000 No, right?
00:57:19.000 I know.
00:57:20.000 I was being sensitive.
00:57:21.000 Okay.
00:57:22.000 I'm so sorry.
00:57:24.000 I'm sorry.
00:57:24.000 At Katie Campbell 312, what an amazing prayer.
00:57:26.000 You said Moon Trial.
00:57:28.000 No, that was the last person.
00:57:30.000 At Jackie Moon 4587.
00:57:32.000 That was the person who had spent five years in prison.
00:57:35.000 Thank you for your encouragement, mate.
00:57:36.000 And I didn't mean to be, I wasn't being dismissive.
00:57:39.000 And thank you.
00:57:40.000 At, gosh, there's so many.
00:57:43.000 At Katie Campbell 312, what an amazing prayer, Russell.
00:57:45.000 Please, no matter what happens in court, you do not lose your faith because your strong faith helps.
00:57:49.000 All Christians that watch you.
00:57:51.000 I love it.
00:57:52.000 That's good.
00:57:55.000 At LaurieLambeth907, finding Noah's Ark would be cool.
00:58:00.000 And why?
00:58:00.000 Of course.
00:58:01.000 But I know God is real because I see him in you.
00:58:05.000 Oh, hello.
00:58:06.000 We're both so authentic and open.
00:58:07.000 We learn so much from Sunday service about faith and love for one another.
00:58:11.000 Thank you for the sweet time together.
00:58:13.000 It's such a blessing.
00:58:14.000 Praying for you both.
00:58:15.000 You are not alone.
00:58:16.000 Sending love from Atlanta.
00:58:18.000 Oh, look at this.
00:58:19.000 Especially you, Russell.
00:58:20.000 No, that's not in it.
00:58:21.000 You, Laura, sometimes.
00:58:23.000 I actually, I just am scanning past the compliments of me.
00:58:26.000 Go on, do one then.
00:58:28.000 Let's say.
00:58:29.000 Next week, Mystery Woman in Yellow.
00:58:31.000 Yeah.
00:58:32.000 There'll be, I think the hem should have been bought.
00:58:35.000 That lapel was too big.
00:58:37.000 All right, good.
00:58:37.000 I'm just joking.
00:58:38.000 I can't wait.
00:58:38.000 No, that could be a whole feature if you want.
00:58:40.000 The fashions, the court fashions.
00:58:44.000 At Kate Kelly 367.
00:58:47.000 Laura, take time for yourself.
00:58:48.000 As mothers, we always put everyone and everything before ourselves.
00:58:51.000 Love and prayers to you both.
00:58:56.000 I don't like that noise.
00:58:58.000 At S. You know that noise?
00:59:01.000 Did you do it sometimes when you were a kid?
00:59:02.000 Yeah.
00:59:02.000 I used to like it.
00:59:04.000 Yeah.
00:59:05.000 I don't like it.
00:59:07.000 At Scarlett.
00:59:07.000 Montana 7.
00:59:08.000 Russell and Laura, I'm praying for you both as you come to the UK.
00:59:11.000 I know the Lord will be with you and will give you strength when you need.
00:59:13.000 God bless you.
00:59:15.000 Dear or at, sometimes the names are hard to read for me, at I-Z-O-C-Z-O-U.
00:59:22.000 I-C-O-U.
00:59:24.000 Dear God, thank you for these dear souls.
00:59:26.000 Please protect Russell and Laura in this troublesome time, especially strengthen and protect Russell and give them the peace, power, and presence of the Holy Spirit to be with them and help them transcend through all the trials and tribulations to your glory.
00:59:38.000 In Jesus' name, amen.
00:59:42.000 Then there was actually some direct nutritional advice for me, like take vitamin TK.
00:59:48.000 That's too late, you're better now.
00:59:49.000 I am better, but I read it.
00:59:50.000 What would it?
00:59:51.000 I just didn't take them, but thank you, and I will next time.
00:59:55.000 Dear at last one, at Virginia Elizabeth 1990.
00:59:59.000 Good morning, beautiful brands.
01:00:00.000 Thank you so much for sharing your blessed energies.
01:00:03.000 Hair looks great, Laura.
01:00:04.000 Thank you.
01:00:06.000 Peace, love, and light to you, yours, and all.
01:00:09.000 There we go.
01:00:12.000 Yeah, there we go.
01:00:14.000 Many.
01:00:15.000 Thank you for your lovely comments.
01:00:16.000 Please continue to leave comments and support our podcast.
01:00:18.000 It means the world to us.
01:00:20.000 Thank you.
01:00:21.000 This is from Zechariah.
01:00:27.000 Then he showed me Joshua, the high priest, standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.
01:00:35.000 The Lord said to Satan, The Lord rebuke you, Satan.
01:00:39.000 The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you.
01:00:42.000 Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?
01:00:46.000 You know, I've felt a lot like that my whole life.
01:00:51.000 And my name, our name now, beloved wife, Brand, has something of this fire.
01:00:58.000 And now I feel that I wanted that verse and that image in my mind as we move towards the prayerful conclusion of our Sunday service.
01:01:11.000 Now, was there something you wanted to do?
01:01:13.000 I was going to read the psalm.
01:01:15.000 And then, if I read the psalm, then can you go into the prayer, please?
01:01:18.000 And then we'll close the show.
01:01:19.000 What psalm was it, darling?
01:01:21.000 107.
01:01:23.000 Let me just check.
01:01:24.000 107.
01:01:24.000 Yeah.
01:01:27.000 And I will say this.
01:01:28.000 Yes.
01:01:29.000 Because I will be looking online at hurricane videos.
01:01:33.000 Oh, yeah.
01:01:35.000 Videos of storms later.
01:01:37.000 And the thing I'm going to really specifically look up is videos of weather meteorologists, weather reporters in the eye of a storm.
01:01:45.000 It doesn't happen.
01:01:46.000 And I've already challenged you on that.
01:01:48.000 Okay, I'm going to make it up.
01:01:50.000 I even said earlier there are videos where people are in planes in the eye of a star.
01:01:54.000 I was watching you aghast at the claims you were making about.
01:01:59.000 I'm going to find the one from the 2024 hurricane on the west coast of Florida.
01:02:04.000 I'm going to find you a selection of videos and then we'll go from there.
01:02:07.000 All right, so Psalm 107.
01:02:10.000 Off this, will you go into prayer, please?
01:02:11.000 Yes, close it.
01:02:13.000 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
01:02:15.000 His love endures forever.
01:02:17.000 Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story, those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south.
01:02:28.000 Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle.
01:02:32.000 They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away.
01:02:36.000 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.
01:02:43.000 He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle.
01:02:48.000 Let them give thanks to the Lord for this unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
01:02:58.000 Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness, prisoners suffering in iron chains, because they rebelled against God's commands and despised the plans of the Most High.
01:03:08.000 So he subjected them to bitter labour.
01:03:11.000 They stumbled, and there was no one to help.
01:03:13.000 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
01:03:19.000 He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains.
01:03:24.000 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron.
01:03:35.000 Some became fools through their rebellious ways and suffered.
01:03:38.000 Affliction because of their iniquities.
01:03:41.000 They loathed all food and grew near the gates of death.
01:03:44.000 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress.
01:03:49.000 He sent out His word and healed them.
01:03:51.000 He rescued them from the grave.
01:03:53.000 Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for mankind.
01:03:58.000 Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of His works with songs of joy.
01:04:04.000 Some went out on the sea in ships.
01:04:08.000 They were merchants on the mighty waters.
01:04:10.000 They saw the works of the Lord, his wonderful deeds in the deep.
01:04:14.000 For he spoke and stirred up a tempest that lifted high the waves.
01:04:19.000 They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths.
01:04:23.000 In their peril, their courage melted away.
01:04:26.000 They reeled and staggered like drunkards.
01:04:28.000 They were at their wits' end.
01:04:30.000 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.
01:04:36.000 He stilled the storm to a whisper.
01:04:38.000 The waves of the sea were hushed.
01:04:41.000 They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.
01:04:46.000 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
01:04:51.000 Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people and praise him in the council of the elders.
01:04:57.000 He turned rivers into a desert, flowing springs into thirsty ground, and fruitful land into a salt waste because of the wickedness of those who lived there.
01:05:07.000 He turned the desert into pools of water and the parched ground into flowing springs.
01:05:12.000 There he brought the hungry to live.
01:05:14.000 And they founded a city where they could settle.
01:05:17.000 They sowed fields and planted vineyards that yielded a fruitful harvest.
01:05:22.000 He blessed them, and their numbers greatly increased, and he did not let their herds diminish.
01:05:27.000 Then their numbers decreased, and they were humbled by oppression, calamity, and sorrow.
01:05:35.000 He who pours contempt on nobles made them wander in a trackless waste, but he lifted the needy out of their affliction and increased their families like flocks.
01:05:46.000 The upright see and rejoice, but all the wicked shut their mouths.
01:05:51.000 Let the one who is wise heed these things and ponder the loving deeds of the Lord.
01:06:00.000 It's pretty amazing.
01:06:02.000 It's really good.
01:06:02.000 It's really good to read that.
01:06:04.000 What does you like about it?
01:06:05.000 I like the repetition.
01:06:07.000 I like the repetition.
01:06:10.000 That was a Daxon just chasing a cat bar.
01:06:14.000 Oh, goodness.
01:06:16.000 I like the repetition of the end of each of the sort of.
01:06:23.000 Stop it.
01:06:23.000 Oh, Coco, now you have to calm down.
01:06:25.000 Stop it.
01:06:26.000 Because especially.
01:06:27.000 That's enough.
01:06:28.000 That's enough now.
01:06:30.000 What I liked is the let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing. Love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, like the repetition of those sort of lines, I think is important.
01:06:38.000 Incantation.
01:06:39.000 Incantation.
01:06:41.000 Okay.
01:06:46.000 Yahweh Shema, Tophos II, Cosmo.
01:06:54.000 The Lord will be there, light of the world.
01:06:56.000 The Lord will be there, light of the world.
01:06:57.000 The Lord will be there, light of the world.
01:06:59.000 Heavenly Father, Lord God, the senses are glorious.
01:07:03.000 The instruments of the senses that detect.
01:07:06.000 Light and vibration and the movement in the air and molecular activity, the senses of touch, taste, sight, hearing, the senses that are subtler yet, Lord, that we can access.
01:07:18.000 Lord, let us feel your presence and your light as people continue to discern in the world of measurement.
01:07:25.000 Reality is not what we supposed it to be, and even that which we consider most rudimentary, the name of which contains both mother and matter and contains much that.
01:07:39.000 Births us yet somehow is voided of mystery.
01:07:42.000 Even material is full of limitless mystery.
01:07:45.000 Space, where it appears dense, remote, when it appears local, non local, and miraculous material.
01:07:56.000 Heavenly Father, a storm, the intensification of pressure, the movement of energy that's difficult to measure.
01:08:05.000 Lord, when you spoke to Job, And you asked in this most ancient of accounts, Do you know when the light is kept in the cave?
01:08:19.000 Or do you know where the snow comes from?
01:08:21.000 Or so many questions about the origins of things.
01:08:25.000 None of us know the true nature of reality.
01:08:29.000 None of us know how biology begins.
01:08:32.000 None of us understand how it unfolds and unpacks.
01:08:36.000 And somehow, by sliding that great glacier time, 13.8 billion years into view, that would answer it somehow.
01:08:47.000 It's as if it was happening in this moment.
01:08:50.000 The miracle of reality was created.
01:08:52.000 There was a moment, everyone agrees, where there was no universe.
01:08:57.000 And then there was a moment, Lord, where you said, Let there be light, where you hovered above the water.
01:09:02.000 And Lord, we feel fostered by you.
01:09:04.000 You are our Father, Abba, Yahweh Yireh, you provide.
01:09:09.000 And whilst times like this, times of literal trial and focus and scrutiny, can sometimes mean that it's natural.
01:09:17.000 For us?
01:09:17.000 Is it natural, Lord, for us to become solipsistic, caught in an inner cyclone, a storm inside the mind of self, Lord?
01:09:24.000 I know that self is to be apart from you.
01:09:28.000 Lord, you are enthroned.
01:09:29.000 Jesus Christ, you sit on the throne.
01:09:31.000 You are our King.
01:09:32.000 It's you that sits at the right hand.
01:09:34.000 Holy Spirit, come be with us, Holy Spirit.
01:09:37.000 Power that is beyond storms because you create the storm, power that's beyond weapons because you create the fire, the furnace, the blacksmith, all reality.
01:09:46.000 Almighty God, be with us.
01:09:48.000 And be with all those that are suffering and fearful.
01:09:50.000 And in the end, that's all of us.
01:09:52.000 Because in the end, this earthly existence ends in termination materially for us all, unless we are the generation that will witness firsthand your second coming.
01:10:04.000 And Lord, I already know that's going to be beyond the five senses and confined epistemology.
01:10:11.000 The mind of man cannot conceive of you as far as the heavens are from the earth, your thoughts from our thoughts and your ways from our ways.
01:10:18.000 And the government, Lord, is upon your shoulders, and the nations are a drop in the bucket.
01:10:23.000 And truth and justice, Lord, these words belong to you.
01:10:26.000 And you died for all of us.
01:10:28.000 Everyone involved in our trial, you died for them.
01:10:31.000 People that I consider to be allies, people that I consider to be adversarial, we're all your children and we're all deserving of your love.
01:10:38.000 And I pray for peace and love for all the participants in this trial or any trial or the hospital that our son has known or the hospital that any of your children have known.
01:10:48.000 I pray, Lord God, for your return.
01:10:51.000 I pray for your will, not mine.
01:10:52.000 And I pray thanks for you for all of the glories you afford me and continue to afford me this.
01:10:58.000 Beautiful wife, this mystery woman in yellow, this insane dog creating chaos, our glorious children, and for your son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose again, that we may know eternity together with you.
01:11:11.000 Amen.
01:11:11.000 Amen.
01:11:12.000 Amen.
01:11:13.000 Thank you.
01:11:15.000 Yeah.
01:11:15.000 Nice.
01:11:16.000 Thank you.
01:11:16.000 Thank you, everybody.
01:11:18.000 I'll wait because you know, I like, no, we don't have to wait, but like, don't stop.
01:11:22.000 Don't stop.
01:11:24.000 Believe it.
01:11:25.000 You went there.
01:11:27.000 Yeah.
01:11:27.000 Where else would you go?
01:11:28.000 I go, don't stop me now.
01:11:31.000 I'm having such a good time.
01:11:32.000 I'm having a ball.
01:11:34.000 Don't stop me now.
01:11:36.000 If you want to have a good time, just give me a call.
01:11:39.000 That's what I would have gone for, but I'm even not doing that.
01:11:42.000 I'm doing this.
01:11:43.000 And I didn't mean don't stop, as in don't go.
01:11:45.000 I mean, don't truncate me amidst this.
01:11:51.000 Yeah, you can carry on, but just give me a second.
01:11:56.000 I know.
01:11:56.000 Then I had trouble because I couldn't get to the turning on the light.
01:11:59.000 The light.
01:12:02.000 Oh, yeah, that's it.
01:12:02.000 Now I can see clearly now.
01:12:05.000 All right, let's go.
01:12:07.000 You alright, my doll?
01:12:08.000 Yeah, I'm waiting for you to.
01:12:09.000 Oh, yeah, this is what I'm looking for.
01:12:12.000 Oh, no, no, I realised now this is wholly inappropriate.
01:12:15.000 Hold on, we'll just turn that bit down.
01:12:17.000 No, no, no, not explicit.
01:12:18.000 We're not having explicit things.
01:12:19.000 Oh, no, wait, now, now, two packs.
01:12:21.000 Oh, this bit.
01:12:22.000 This.
01:12:22.000 Yeah.
01:12:23.000 There's parts.
01:12:27.000 Also, massive things.
01:12:28.000 Two of the childhood years recalled the fears, hearts, legs, were thinner, from his third drinking, moaned like the father, for him and my girlfriend, plus his elephant, sunk his on his favorite wheel, plus washing me like pussy.
01:12:44.000 Yeah, pot.
01:12:45.000 Exercising all demons.
01:12:48.000 I'm about to use all the stuff, but no, Jason, I'm ready to doubt.
