00:00:07.000 Just wait We've got a special show for you this weekend.
00:00:25.000 We've all watched politicians enter public office and somehow emerge considerably wealthier, while ordinary people are left wondering how they make such remarkably well-timed investments.
00:00:36.000 Ban members of Congress from profiting on information that, frankly, only members of Congress have in the buying and selling of stock.
00:00:44.000 86% of Americans say that members of Congress should not be able to buy and sell shares of stock, individual stock, while they are.
00:00:53.000 Members of this body, and they are absolutely correct.
00:00:55.000 I sat down with Ross Givens, a veteran trader and former JP Morgan vice president who tracks the publicly disclosed trades of politicians and corporate insiders.
00:01:05.000 We look at what they're buying, what that might tell us, and whether the rest of us can use the same information to our advantage.
00:01:11.000 Should members of Congress and their spouses be banned from trading individual stocks while serving Congress?
00:01:17.000 No, I don't know to this second one.
00:01:20.000 This is a free market, and people.
00:01:23.000 We are a free market economy.
00:01:25.000 They should be able to participate in that.
00:01:29.000 All right, Ross, thanks for joining us today.
00:01:31.000 Yeah, my pleasure.
00:01:32.000 Good to meet you, Russell.
00:01:33.000 Now, what I understand you do that's sort of novel, and in a way, the world has been waiting for this, is a bit like the X Account Unusual Wales, looking at the trading of people that sometimes one could argue appear to have knowledge that I'm not suggesting insider trading or the misuse of congressional insight and clandestine info from, for example, Nancy Pelosi.
00:01:58.000 But if that isn't what she's doing, and I believe it isn't because I believe she's a good person, she is better than every single hedge fund at beating the market.
00:02:07.000 I think she beats Warren Buffett at beating the market.
00:02:10.000 What is it that you do and that tradersagency.com offers that's comparable to what Nancy Pelosi and other people inside Congress who may appear to have inside information are able to do?
00:02:24.000 Yeah, it's ironic.
00:02:25.000 I mean, that we tend to elect all the best stock pickers in the country because obviously none of our insider trading.
00:02:31.000 But they all decimate the stock market.
00:02:33.000 And so I think everyone knows this happens at this point.
00:02:36.000 We know that Congress beats the market.
00:02:37.000 We know CEOs cheat.
00:02:38.000 We watch Pelosi build a quarter billion dollar net worth.
00:02:41.000 And what people don't realize is the trades are public.
00:02:44.000 So they have to file this stuff.
00:02:47.000 They tell you what stocks they're buying.
00:02:48.000 And all we've done for the last 10 years is take all that information that's available for free, filter it down to the stuff that's obvious, where you see several of them buying all the same stock or same areas that are tied to committees they're on or CEOs and CFOs all buying their own stock and just follow along because it's undeniable that some people have access to better information.
00:03:12.000 They are clearly using it to make money.
00:03:14.000 And so you can either sit there and be angry about it and hold a picket sign, or you can go, All right, well, at least they're telling me what they're buying.
00:03:22.000 I'll follow along, make a couple of bucks for myself.
00:03:24.000 And that's all we've done.
00:03:25.000 And we've beat the market every year for a decade.
00:03:28.000 You genius.
00:03:29.000 So through tradersagency.com, we can all be.
00:03:34.000 Paul Pelosi.
00:03:35.000 That doesn't mean we necessarily have to be involved in a housebreaking and attacked with a mallet or crash our Porsche Carrera, but we can have the advantage of knowing what people who might know more than we know are investing in.
00:03:50.000 During the time you've been doing this, mate, what would you say has been your most notable success?
00:03:56.000 Which trade has given you the most excitement as well as, oh my God, this has paid right off for me and my clients?
00:04:03.000 Well, a lot of them for Pelosi.
00:04:05.000 Unfortunately, she's out of the game now, but she used to do this routinely.
00:04:07.000 I mean, she would.
00:04:08.000 They passed this thing called the Chips Act that gave all these billions of dollars to NVIDIA, Intel, and the semiconductor companies to get them to make stuff in the U.S.
00:04:18.000 And right before that bill passed, I mean, the week before, she went and put millions of dollars into call options on NVIDIA, turned a million to five million.
00:04:26.000 But probably our biggest win, we did a little oil trade.
00:04:30.000 A little oil company went from $3 to $60 in a couple of years.
00:04:34.000 So 20x run.
00:04:35.000 And what happened was, you know, when COVID hit and our government overlords told us that we have to stay in our house and close our business and we can't go anywhere, the price of oil went from $80 to like $10.
00:04:47.000 And all these oil companies who Are you know spending 50 bucks a barrel to get out of the ground and then sell it at 70 or 80?
00:04:53.000 Are going, we're going to lose our shirt, we can't make any money at 10, we're going to be out of business.
00:04:58.000 And so the stocks came crashing down.
00:05:00.000 But what had happened that no one knew was that that company pre sold all of their oil for the next three years at like 80 bucks a barrel.
00:05:10.000 So it's kind of like the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company in the Forrest Gump movie, you know, so they're the only ones that survived the storm, and all the other shrimpers went out of business and they took over the market.
00:05:21.000 Same thing here, all the little You know, oil miners all spread out, the wildcatters all over Texas all went out of business.
00:05:29.000 And then it, and when the stock was like three and a half bucks a share, we see all the people in the company buying millions and millions of dollars.
00:05:35.000 It's just getting hammered.
00:05:37.000 It turns out, you know, that this comes out, they'd hedge.
00:05:41.000 Not only do they thrive, they buy up competition, pennies, dollars, and, you know, it's every thousand dollars was 20,000 in a couple of years.
00:05:50.000 And so obviously they don't all do that, but like these are the opportunities that are out there.
00:05:55.000 And it's information that no one would know.
00:05:58.000 Unless you're inside that company.
00:06:00.000 And so when we see that the CEO and half the board and the VPs are all buying this stock all at once for the first time in five years, totally out of nowhere, we kind of use a little bit of common sense and go, all right, either they know something or at worst, it's probably not a bad time to buy.
00:06:18.000 And that's what puts us in front of these.
00:06:20.000 And more often than not, the stocks do well and we make some money on it.
00:06:25.000 So that's what we try to show people.
00:06:27.000 We have a free training event coming up this Thursday.
00:06:29.000 It's three o'clock Eastern.
00:06:31.000 I think there's probably a link down there to join it, but it's free.
00:06:33.000 Anybody can come.
00:06:34.000 We show them how to do it.
00:06:36.000 It's all online.
00:06:37.000 Anyone can access it.
00:06:39.000 And I just think it's such a huge advantage for the average person.
00:06:42.000 Well, there's a lot to cover from your last answer.
00:06:45.000 Firstly, Pelosi, she retires as the GOAT.
00:06:48.000 She goes out at a game, irreproachable, knowing that no one's going to catch them stats.
00:06:55.000 Then you correctly assess my level of understanding of trading markets by using Forrest.
00:07:02.000 Gump and Bubba, uh, Forrest Gump and Bubba, and their enterprise as my reference point for, uh, for, uh, commerce, correctly assessing the level to which I understand these things.
00:07:14.000 And what I like most of all is that even without what can be an incredibly, uh, intricate and esoteric requirement for understanding to invest, you're saying that with a combination of AI and observing like a Robin Hood.
00:07:32.000 Watching aristocrats moving through Nottingham Forest, watching them, what them aristocrats and what them wealthy elites are doing, we can have a punt.
00:07:42.000 How do you get involved and use tradersagency.com?
00:07:49.000 And what is the minimum amount, like if I want to do a bit?
00:07:55.000 Well, the minimum amount is one share.
00:07:57.000 I mean, we're not managing anybody's money.
00:07:59.000 There are millions out there following politicians like Pelosi and the others, but.
00:08:05.000 We hold these events once or twice a quarter to show people how to do this.
00:08:09.000 We have a service.
00:08:10.000 We do it for our members.
00:08:11.000 We do all the research and send it to them, but anyone could do this on their own.
00:08:15.000 So, you know, come Thursday, they're free online databases.
00:08:19.000 I'll show you how to access the trades, what to look for, what to look out for, and just how to filter if it is really obvious stuff that you can use to find some good opportunities.
00:08:31.000 And so that's really all we're doing trying to help people see that it's, you know, that it's doable and how to do it.
00:08:38.000 What about my friend Nick, who's a former U.S. Marine turned dog trainer and entrepreneur?
00:08:44.000 Who says that if we do anything other than invest in indexes, the same as Warren Buffett, he's going to punch us in the face?
00:08:53.000 I would say he's got a rude awakening coming.
00:08:56.000 I mean, I don't want to get into all the technicals on the index.
00:08:59.000 Obviously, it's had a great last 15, 18 years.
00:09:05.000 But if you go back, if you want to index, if you indexed all your money in 2000, 10 years later, you hadn't made any.
00:09:13.000 So we're very much, if you look at like the 100 year picture, This little 18 year has been great with the government borrowing and printing and pumping stuff up.
00:09:24.000 But there are decade long periods where you would have lost money holding an index fund.
00:09:31.000 So I think there's more opportunities out there.
00:09:35.000 And we're proof that we beat the index every single year since 2017.
00:09:41.000 Every single year?
00:09:43.000 Yeah.
00:09:43.000 And I say we, it's not any great sense of mind.
00:09:46.000 We're just following the people.
00:09:47.000 That are doing the stuff.
00:09:50.000 So, you feel sort of this kind of mad confidence of like the same way as I suppose the entire internet space is, oh, this is what Joe Rogan does.
00:09:59.000 You know, this is his HRT or this is his cold plunge workout.
00:10:04.000 This is like we can apply that, I suppose, through the aggregation of information to anything.
00:10:11.000 In a sense, it's a principle that's born of the information age.
00:10:18.000 That's right.
00:10:18.000 And it's just, it's the law of large numbers.
00:10:21.000 So I would never say every, I can promise you this stock goes up tomorrow or next week.
00:10:25.000 This one's guaranteed to be a winner.
00:10:27.000 That would obviously be crazy.
00:10:29.000 But you have 435 members of Congress for the last 10 years that, as a group, have vastly outperformed.
00:10:37.000 You have all these executives at Coca Cola and pharmaceutical companies and all these public that have vastly outperformed over not a quarter or a year, but decades.
00:10:47.000 And so the evidence is overwhelming.
00:10:50.000 That people with better information make better investment decisions and perform better.
00:10:55.000 So, as a whole, if you follow those, it would stand to reason you do better.
00:11:01.000 And then, if you filter it down and try to go, all right, what are the big winners have in common?
00:11:06.000 What's the real obvious stuff?
00:11:08.000 What's something that no one would do unless they were pretty damn certain it's a good time to invest?
00:11:13.000 And we just follow those.
00:11:15.000 So, the idea is very simple finding it all, organizing it, knowing what to look for takes a little bit of work.
00:11:22.000 And that's why we have these training sessions.
00:11:24.000 I'd like to free one this Thursday.
00:11:26.000 Brilliant.
00:11:26.000 Free one this Thursday.
00:11:28.000 Click the link in the description if you want to join.
00:11:31.000 I'd love to learn more about what's happening at that session.
00:11:36.000 It strikes me, Ross, that this will be a kind of a limited window opportunity.
00:11:41.000 Do you not agree?
00:11:42.000 Because how long before either the market's correct or this loophole is closed?
00:11:48.000 Because in the end, if people keep exploiting this facility, there'll be a point where that in itself.
00:11:56.000 Affects profits.
00:11:59.000 Yeah, on a large enough scale, that's absolutely true.
00:12:01.000 I don't think we're going to reach there.
00:12:03.000 I mean, the big fear is that Congress comes and they ban insider trading, like Congress isn't allowed to buy stocks.
00:12:10.000 They've brought so many bills to ban it and they never pass.
00:12:13.000 And you know how this, you know better than anybody, Russell.
00:12:16.000 They come in and they say, oh, yeah, we shouldn't do it.
00:12:19.000 I think you should ban it.
00:12:20.000 And then what do you know?
00:12:20.000 They're not there for the vote or they attach some toxic piece of legislation.
00:12:25.000 No one's going to do it.
00:12:26.000 If they wanted to ban it insider trading, they're all sitting there in a room, draft on a piece of paper and sign it.
00:12:31.000 They've had a decade.
00:12:32.000 They've never done it.
00:12:33.000 They never will.
00:12:35.000 Corporate America, I mean, the Goldman Sachs of the world are feeding right into commerce that's feeding into the SEC.
00:12:42.000 It's a big cesspool.
00:12:43.000 So, You're right.
00:12:45.000 It's possible one day they cut this loophole.
00:12:48.000 But we have a president who's selling early access to his tweets right now.
00:12:51.000 So I don't think priority one is shutting down our access to information of these insider trades.
00:13:00.000 Wow.
00:13:01.000 What an interesting and extraordinary time we're living in.
00:13:03.000 So if you do the course, before I actually get to that, I want to ask a bit about your background.
00:13:10.000 How did you end up doing this?
00:13:11.000 What did you do before?
00:13:12.000 Were you a hustler?
00:13:13.000 You're a trader?
00:13:16.000 How did you get in here, mate?
00:13:19.000 Well, I've been in the stock world for forever.
00:13:22.000 I mean, I was a suit and tie JP Morgan vice president guy for a while.
00:13:27.000 I managed money for a while.
00:13:30.000 And then, you know, you realize pretty quickly everybody that does well has some kind of an edge, whether they've got some massive supercomputer, they're day trading, or they're really good at the fundamentals and identifying trends, or I don't know, you're sitting on Congress and you see the bills before they pass, or you're the chief financial officer and you see the earnings before it goes public.
00:13:50.000 And so instead of trying to outsmart the market, why not just follow the people that do?
00:13:57.000 And so I started researching this back in 2015, was overwhelmed by how simple this seemed.
00:14:05.000 And I just refined it over the years.
00:14:06.000 And honestly, I opened the service up to the public because it was expensive for all the data.
00:14:12.000 And I had an analyst helping me.
00:14:14.000 And then you needed somebody to take the phone calls and do supports.
00:14:17.000 And you got to have a few more members.
00:14:19.000 And it's kind of just run away over the last 10 years.
00:14:22.000 It's still a pretty small group, you know, 1,000, 2,000 people in there.
00:14:26.000 But again, we have a paid service, but we do these free things to show people how to do it.
00:14:33.000 If you want us to do it for you, we will.
00:14:34.000 But like, it's all public information.
00:14:38.000 The adage, all you need to be a millionaire is tomorrow's newspaper today, seems particularly true in this instance.
00:14:46.000 And you may know Mike Benz, he's real brilliant on revealing sort of deep state corruption and Telling stories about how power operates, and in particular, sort of some of the connections that exist between these peculiar non government organizations and vast global enterprises that own huge pieces of immeasurable assets.
00:15:11.000 I'm talking your Vanguards and your BlackRock's.
00:15:13.000 And also, though, he, like, and I hope I'm not misquoting him, but he would say, like, with someone like George Soros, you know, we're kind of invited to think these people are like intuitive geniuses that understand the mysterious movements of market.
00:15:28.000 But in all likelihood, and this is Mike Benz, and I'm simplifying it, they have awareness of, for example, American foreign policy in Ukraine or the Middle East, and they know that a bunch of shale gas is about to become available, like investing in the equipment to mine shale gas or the storage or transportation of shale gas or the permutations of that are things that they get access to.
00:15:53.000 So, the aspect of this, what you're doing at tradersagency.com, the links at the bottom of the screen there, what I like about it is.
00:16:02.000 The democratization of information and why not?
00:16:07.000 Why not?
00:16:08.000 I like that.
00:16:10.000 And for you personally, I think it's sort of admirable.
00:16:14.000 In fact, because all of us, like you say, we've all got to find our edge.
00:16:16.000 We've all got to find our way because it can be the material world is pretty merciless.
00:16:23.000 And it's going to get, I think it's that the direction of travel is, you know, unfavorable in the short term, I'd say.
00:16:32.000 Yeah.
00:16:33.000 And, you know, you nailed it.
00:16:35.000 And it's just, it's not a fair setup.
00:16:37.000 And you're 100% right.
00:16:38.000 The source of, The world, they're in tell with the information, you know, what to buy, what's going to happen if this shale comes available or if things, you know, deteriorate with the situation with one of our Middle East partners or something.
00:16:52.000 But yeah, absolutely, they have access to better information.
00:16:56.000 And you take someone like everyone's favorite, Bill Gates, right?
00:17:00.000 Who doesn't love Bill Gates?
00:17:01.000 He's a great guy.
00:17:03.000 All the money he cares about is making sure that you're healthy, that I'm healthy.
00:17:07.000 That's it.
00:17:08.000 He's either investing in vaccine manufacturing companies or insisting that people.
00:17:13.000 Take mandatory vaccines.
00:17:14.000 He's either investing in the World Health Organization, they impose, seek to impose vaccine mandates, or experimenting on vaccine technology in developing nations.
00:17:26.000 There's no pattern there.
00:17:28.000 And he was probably on Epstein Island just to help people get vaccinated, maybe.
00:17:33.000 I don't know what he was using as a needle.
00:17:35.000 We have no way of knowing how that fluid enters any of those trafficking victims' bodies.
00:17:42.000 Or if he was even there, all of that was conjectured.
00:17:45.000 As a matter of fact, but you were saying that Bill Gates, everyone's favorite, and continuously.
00:17:49.000 Great.
00:17:50.000 You said it, babe.
00:17:50.000 Great guy.
00:17:51.000 Just all around wonderful human being.
00:17:53.000 And yes, he did the vaccines.
00:17:55.000 Now the COVID vaccines, you know, he used his wealth to fund this thing.
00:18:01.000 So he puts $50 million into a company called BioNTech, who's in the vaccine game.
00:18:07.000 Sure, he made $550 million on profit by pushing the vaccine and driving the price higher.
00:18:15.000 But he did that, of course, so he could have $55 million.
00:18:19.000 To help all of us and tell us which vaccines we need, et cetera.
00:18:22.000 But we see this.
00:18:24.000 It's every level.
00:18:25.000 It's the Gates is doing it.
00:18:27.000 It's the Pelosi's doing it.
00:18:28.000 It's members of Congress.
00:18:30.000 It's executives of the big companies.
00:18:31.000 They're all doing it.
00:18:32.000 They've been doing it for decades.
00:18:33.000 Nothing's ever going to happen.
00:18:35.000 So you can cry about it and you can say, that's not fair and how dare you.
00:18:39.000 Or you could say, you know what?
00:18:41.000 I'm paying your salaries.
00:18:42.000 The least you could do is tip me off.
00:18:44.000 If the stock's going to go up 200%, 300% and my senator knows it, well, At least let me know.
00:18:50.000 Let me buy it too.
00:18:51.000 Right.
00:18:53.000 And that's kind of what we're showing them how to do.
00:18:55.000 So it's not going to stop.
00:19:00.000 And even when they do get caught, we saw this with Mike Kelly, who got caught red handed, five year investigation, got his text matches, and he caught him red handed insider trading in Congress.
00:19:12.000 They concluded he, in fact, broke the Stock Act.
00:19:16.000 And at the end of the report, they said, well, we decided he should have to sell that stock.
00:19:22.000 It already tripled.
00:19:23.000 They didn't even find the guy.
00:19:25.000 So they spent millions of your and my tax dollars, Russell, doing this massive investigation for five years, all to come to the conclusion that he did, in fact, insider trade.
00:19:36.000 They could have put him in prison.
00:19:38.000 They could have fined him multiple times the profit.
00:19:43.000 They could have removed him from office.
00:19:45.000 They did none of it.
00:19:46.000 They just said, we believe you should divest from that stock.
00:19:49.000 So the precedent is there.
00:19:52.000 Right?
00:19:52.000 I mean, they see this happen.
00:19:55.000 It's like if you got caught breaking the law, like some people do in certain states in this country and don't get prosecuted, they're going, I guess it's fine to do that.
00:20:05.000 And so that's what they've learned in Congress.
00:20:08.000 So, if any of you that are watching this that are interested, and we talk about these kind of stories a lot on the show, we talk a lot about, well, Nancy Pelosi, we've made a real hobby, as many people have, talking about her trade and her accumulated wealth.
00:20:22.000 I think it was she came, she entered office with maybe a few hundred thousand bucks, and she'll be leaving with a few hundred million dollars.
00:20:31.000 And at least part of that, some people believe, is due to her uncanny ability to speculate.
00:20:36.000 Nancy Pelosi may no longer be with us, not at least in the form of trading, but her legacy lives on.
00:20:43.000 Why should you not benefit from the expertise and knowledge of corrupt members of Congress and the Senate?
00:20:52.000 Thankfully, Ross is willing to broker that.
00:20:56.000 So, what do we do if we want to participate, mate?
