00:00:00.000 people often ask me if kickboxing made me rich and people think oh tate did you get your money
00:00:13.360 from kickboxing and the answer is no kickboxing is not boxing even as a four-time world champion
00:00:19.040 the most money i ever got paid for a fight ever was a hundred thousand dollars which sounds like
00:00:22.620 a lot of money but in the grand scheme of things it's not a lot of money you have to pay your
00:00:25.880 manager 20 percent uh probably another 10 out for various fees and you're only fighting twice a year
00:00:31.500 you gotta pay your rent blah blah blah you're not rich as a as an athlete most kickboxers are broke
00:00:39.460 or stay broke you can transition into the ufc like uh what's his name style bender whatever his name
00:00:46.680 is can't remember his name he's done it a few people have done it but in general kickboxing
00:00:51.380 will not make you rich purely from a purse for fighting perspective however i still accredit
00:00:58.540 fighting with making me rich for a variety of reasons one it made me extremely determined
00:01:02.900 and it made me understand the value of hard work which is the first thing two it made me understand
00:01:07.000 that excuses don't count nobody gives a shit you either win or you lose and three it introduced me
00:01:11.500 to a whole bunch of important people kickboxing as a whole rich people bad guys mafia guys these kind
00:01:18.440 of things they're always involved in these industries because they like the idea of sitting
00:01:22.000 at the table and being involved with fighters and being friends with fighters and they're they have a
00:01:26.900 lot of money and there's a lot of their money involved in the promotions and money laundering and these
00:01:30.480 kind of things so i did meet important people from fighting and these important people respected me
00:01:36.660 because i was a fighter and the difference between me and most other fighters is that i'm an idiot
00:01:41.120 most fighters are stupid and the reason they're stupid is because if you have a low iq you're brave
00:01:45.720 and it's a scary thing to do so intelligence makes you sit there and think is this really worth it
00:01:49.980 but i am brave and smart which is unique so i could leverage the relationships i made via fighting
00:01:57.240 to move to romania for example or open casinos in romania for example or do a lot of other things i
00:02:03.820 couldn't possibly have done any other way so fighting did make me rich based off the back of the
00:02:08.000 relationships that fighting provided me but from a pure fight purse perspective fighting didn't make me
00:02:14.960 rich also i'd like to believe that a lot of the reason why the war room is so successful on some
00:02:19.440 of the other products on carbotape.com is because i'm a kickboxing world champion and people know that
00:02:22.980 i have a warrior's mindset it's easy to talk a warrior's mindset but when you've actually done it
00:02:30.260 it gives you a different level of credibility so fighting made me rich from a networking perspective
00:02:35.700 and uh credibility and individual credibility perspective but it didn't make me rich in regards to
00:02:40.200 the fight purses i've been awarded i'm just uh the reason i'm talking about this on tape speech
00:02:45.080 is because i get so many emails about my fight career the next thing is why did i not go to the
00:02:49.600 ufc was a simple answer the reason i didn't go to the ufc is because i broke my hand three times in
00:02:53.080 mma fights and i kept breaking my hand and i needed the bigger gloves the smaller gloves i kept
00:02:58.120 breaking my hand it's just unfortunate so i decided to stick with kickboxing at the time it was the
00:03:02.220 best money on the table sure if i got to the top top of ufc i would have made more money but
00:03:06.340 if you're not at the top top of ufc you're not making money anyway so what's the lesson here i
00:03:11.200 don't know what the lesson here is usually i like to give a lesson in my tape speeches i guess the
00:03:14.540 lesson is if you become a kickboxing world champion and you're smart enough and you can meet important
00:03:17.880 people with lots of money and you can prove yourself to be valuable to them you can end up
00:03:20.960 being a multi-millionaire and buying lots of supercars that's the lesson
00:03:24.020 the lesson here is
00:03:43.400 you
00:03:46.400 you
