00:00:21.260 you matt gates for holding the line matt gates is a courageous man if we had hundreds of matt gates

00:00:28.700 in dc the country turns around it's that simple he's so tough he's so strong he's smart and he

00:00:48.760 welcome to a very special edition of firebrand we are broadcasting now from the spotify studios

00:01:01.000 in los angeles california as you know this is a time when congress is out of washington dc

00:01:06.640 we're moving around the country some are doing investigative work some are doing a communications

00:01:11.840 work and political work we're incredibly grateful that the spotify team has invited us here to this

00:01:17.340 soundstage they actually make them available to all of their creators to be able to come in

00:01:21.840 we're very proud that firebrand is hosted on spotify in addition to the other platforms that

00:01:27.300 we're able to use and we're grateful for all of our spotify listeners and certainly grateful for this

00:01:32.100 tremendous opportunity so the goal for this discussion is not going to be to review breaking

00:01:37.440 news or news of the day but to have an in-depth discussion with tony bobolinski you know tony bobolinski

00:01:44.220 as the most credible narrator of this entire experience of the biden investigations when the

00:01:50.740 chinese communist party wanted to have influence around the world and in the united states tony

00:01:56.000 bobolinski was there among the bidens and other biden associates as he believed a business deal was

00:02:03.240 being created to deploy capital within the united states but what mr bobolinski thought was a business

00:02:09.540 deal started to look more and more like a bribe to him now we've gone over a lot of the facts we've

00:02:16.680 gone over a lot of the documents text messages that have really corroborated mr bobolinski and you may

00:02:24.000 have seen folks in the media or even democrats on the house judiciary committee attack this man but what

00:02:29.740 they never attacked what they never challenged was any fact he laid out any meeting he had any place he

00:02:37.060 was any document that he provided instead there was a critique of his goals a critique of his motives

00:02:44.600 a critique of his person and that is something that as we saw in the house judiciary committee as america

00:02:49.580 saw mr bobolinski was well well adapt to handle and handled them indeed he did we keep hearing from certain

00:02:58.320 corners that our democracy is at risk and democracies on the ballot in 24 yet the same people preaching this

00:03:04.560 mantra no better they continue to lie directly to the american people without hesitation and remorse 0.96

00:03:10.620 rep dan goldman and jamie raskin both lawyers and mr goldman a former prosecutor with the sdny from new

00:03:19.280 york will continue to lie today in this hearing and then go straight to the media to tell more lies

00:03:24.340 my biggest uh appeal to everyone in this room is i wish you would spend the time focusing on the fact

00:03:30.320 that the chinese communist party infiltrated the white house of the united states of america

00:03:35.500 through the biden family i don't say that lightly it's not a joke i was willing to die for this

00:03:40.740 country as was my father and both my grandfathers and my brother this is serious serious stuff we should

00:03:47.400 be asking how that happened take the biden name and the biden family completely out of it how did the

00:03:52.700 chinese communist party infiltrate the white house the united states of america let's start there

00:03:58.300 focus on those facts what they did how they did it why they used money why they used private enterprises

00:04:05.280 instead of military stuff and other stuff that is huge to our national security but i don't want

00:04:12.480 this discussion to just be about what we're learning from the biden's and the documents that relate to

00:04:18.380 their business activities and their activities with china my hope is that this discussion will teach us a

00:04:24.300 little bit more about how the power centers in the world work i am concerned that increasingly the

00:04:30.780 institutions that we have often admired and look to as americans institutions like the united nations

00:04:36.960 like our judicial system are increasingly being compromised by china through bribes and this is not 0.95

00:04:44.520 some conspiracy theory i have it's not just a viewpoint from mr bobolinski as we're going to prove to you

00:04:50.400 this has been the position of the united states government in very specific and in very meaningful

00:04:57.320 criminal litigation in the southern district of new york now you'll hear from mr bobolinski about a

00:05:02.620 company called cefc and cefc was really the investment wing of china's energy business and a big part of their

00:05:11.820 one belt one road initiative cefc has one of their major executives major players put on trial in new

00:05:20.320 york for corruption corruption that involved countries in africa banks in new york people

00:05:27.580 in our own government and in those circumstances i think we can learn a lot about how bribes how

00:05:35.140 global institutions are driving the decisions that affect the lives of people here and all around

00:05:41.380 the world so with that i welcome tony bobolinski tony you know you have been through an experience that

00:05:47.020 not a lot of people have testifying before congress having your story scrutinized by every opposition

00:05:53.660 research entity every media entity every congressman and without question every person i've talked to in

00:06:01.180 town halls around my district around the country they say you were credible that you stood on the facts

00:06:06.680 and that no one really challenged you on those facts but just talk a little bit about like as a human

00:06:11.280 being who didn't have a lot of notoriety before all of this going through this process what's your

00:06:17.520 reflection on it as we sit here today in the spotify studios in los angeles yeah good morning

00:06:21.800 matt and obviously i'd like to thank spotify as well for hosting us and joel and matt you and your team

00:06:27.100 for having me down here um so stating that i had no notoriety before all this is probably an

00:06:34.380 understatement because i had spent the prior 10 plus years working for one of the wealthiest families

00:06:40.480 in the world and um through my time doing that most people actually didn't know what i did

00:06:45.700 for a living because i didn't really talk about it i didn't have any social media accounts i didn't have

00:06:50.620 a you know profiles we didn't have a website the family was a very low-key very very wealthy family

00:06:56.860 and we invested all over the world and i could care less if anybody knew my name um so i was the you

00:07:03.760 know the stark contrast of this environment we live in today where you know people are building huge

00:07:09.760 social media following so um it's uh it has been an education of just how the media works if you

00:07:19.080 had asked me i actually lived in a place for almost 15 years that didn't have a tv in it um if i wanted

00:07:23.900 entertainment i'd go to the movie theater and during you know i was working 80 to 100 hour weeks and i had

00:07:29.400 four bloombergs on my desk so if i needed information on any company i was invested in i could get it

00:07:35.160 instantly and and stuff like that and so if you'd asked me six years ago if the media um lied misrepresented

00:07:44.180 told half stories i would have said no that's that doesn't happen um there's laws that protect that

00:07:50.420 from happening and hold them accountable and stuff like that i was ignorant on the subject um you know

00:07:56.240 our companies that we're invested in had comms people and i really didn't get involved at that level

00:08:00.300 if i sat on a board and stuff like that so to say that this was just a crazy rude awakening of what

00:08:06.240 i've gone through the last five years it's been uh astonishing and most people will never go through

00:08:10.740 that most people will not go from being a consumer of information to being kind of the subject of that

00:08:18.000 entire ecosystem now uh in our you talk about comms people in our uh operation our communications

00:08:23.040 director is joel valdez he is the executive director of firebrand and joel is uh joining us to help us

00:08:28.340 today uh also to give the every man perspective but you know i mean it it's certainly something uh to

00:08:35.420 to go from a world in which you're judged by these high intensity economic decisions to being peppered

00:08:44.100 with five minute rounds of questions like if if you were before we get into any of the specifics here

00:08:49.180 if you were to meet someone and they were about to reveal information about a powerful person that

00:08:56.020 disrupted the power dynamics and shifted the tectonic plates of politics in our country like

00:09:01.580 what advice would you give them about being the subject of media scrutiny having a story to tell

00:09:06.840 and then emerging as a critical congressional witness it's funny because actually the parallel

00:09:13.420 in the investing business i spent my whole career post the uh the navy you know in the investment

00:09:18.760 business and you'd always talk to you know early stage and venture companies and tell them to

00:09:23.420 fine-tune their elevator pitch right their 60 second elevator pitch um this story about the biden corruption

00:09:29.700 and the you know involvement of china russia ukraine romania and the list continues on to try to package

00:09:37.980 that in two minute or five minute sound bites is nearly impossible and so to prepare for congressional

00:09:44.980 testimony it was just an interesting dynamic because i'm fighting to get the facts out to the american

00:09:50.160 people and you know i had this interchange with aoc where she was looking for like a sound bite or

00:09:56.920 something short and quick and sweet and this is not a short quick and sweet story i believe the fact

00:10:01.740 that he was sitting with me while i was putting together did you witness the president commit a crime

00:10:07.600 is it your testimony today yes and what crime do you have you witness how much time do i have to go

00:10:14.600 through it it is simple you name the crime did you watch him steal something corruption statutes

00:10:21.180 rico and conspiracy what is it what is what is the crime sir you specifically you keep you asked me

00:10:29.560 to answer the question i answered the question no rico you're obviously not familiar with

00:10:33.700 corruption excuse me sir excuse me sir excuse me sir rico is not a crime it is a category

00:10:41.540 what is the category of crimes that you're then charged you have charges long 100 you have

00:10:48.240 charges sir please name exact statute on rico yes well it's funny in this committee room everyone's

00:10:55.700 not here there's over all right sir i reclaim my lawyers that went to law school i'll leave it up

00:11:00.240 to you guys thank you sir i reclaim my time i don't have a picture of joe biden picking up a duffel

00:11:05.980 bag of 20 million dollars of cash this is a very complicated involving the most powerful countries

00:11:11.980 in the world and how they operate to infiltrate powerful business powerful political people in the

00:11:19.720 united states and i'm simply fighting to get the facts out to the american people that's all i ever

00:11:25.920 wanted to do and that sort of plays into your question about this you know rude awakening in 2020 i

00:11:32.920 simply wanted to deliver the facts to congressional parties senators and let them go take these facts

00:11:40.540 and educate the american people but unfortunately that wasn't done as efficiently as it could be so

00:11:45.900 here i sit with you today still fighting to get the facts out to the american people

00:11:49.740 for a lot of folks i think it's it's not familiar to think about kind of who you are in the world and in

00:11:57.780 the grand scheme of the economy because a lot of people don't know a tony bobolinski in their life

00:12:02.700 so if if you were to draw on an archetype for you you know you're not like you're not bobby axelrod

00:12:08.920 right because you don't run a hedge fund but at the same time a lot of the people who are are running

00:12:14.960 family funds or making big investment decisions kind of seek you out as someone to hunt deals find deals

00:12:22.120 so like who is a tony bobolinski archetype that people could associate with i struggled with this

00:12:28.560 yeah it's interesting because um i had numerous offers through my career to you know become a bobby

00:12:33.720 axelrod to launch my own hedge fund private equity fund i chose not to i chose to work for a specific

00:12:39.480 family which is an interesting dynamic because you know you're intertwined you know with their children

00:12:45.180 with their grandchildren all the personal aspects of their family and business so trust

00:12:50.420 is even at a much much higher level than it would be if i went to work for a goldman sachs

00:12:55.940 or ran my own hedge fund um and when i say trust that familiarity you had working with a family

00:13:01.340 and inner intertwining a family dynamic which i don't care who you are every family dynamic is

00:13:07.960 has contours with business were you able to draw on that at all as you kind of saw the biden's

00:13:15.760 interacting and as you were there having a meeting with joe biden he's telling you to take care of his

00:13:21.240 son there must have been some sort of uh merging of kind of family and business that you were able

00:13:27.600 to identify and see based on your background yeah and i'm sure the biden's picked up on it because

00:13:31.740 i had spent my time working for one of the wealthiest families of the world that had multiple

00:13:36.240 generations involved in the business so i would be trading large amounts of stock on a daily basis

00:13:41.800 and the grandchildren would walk in my office and ask hey how are you doing what are you doing can we

00:13:46.720 and you know step in to learn what i was doing or talk about it and so um i developed a relationship

00:13:53.300 and just a mutual trust of the dynamics between you know the grandchild and the patriarch and their

00:13:59.240 different perspectives on life and the and the kids as well because they all have their own families

00:14:04.000 their own interests their own wealth each one of these families were you know hugely wealthy in their

00:14:09.520 own right and then in aggregate you know one of the most powerful and wealthy families in the world

00:14:13.580 so it was um well with a powerful family that that is producing a lot of cash with investments everybody

00:14:19.180 wants to get their beak wet and sometimes that's challenging and how it's presented and talked about

00:14:23.940 and discussed and it seemed as though in this china deal where they were bringing you in to create the

00:14:29.960 veneer of a business arrangement but really it was it was the facilitation of of payment to family

00:14:36.120 members it seemed as though you might have been drawn into that because they knew you were familiar

00:14:42.460 with the interplay of family and business yeah no question i mean james gillier who was the individual

00:14:47.880 former british military british intelligence um didn't really talk much about what he did outside of

00:14:54.140 sort of relationships and stuff um i'd known him for approximately 10 years from deals i was doing

00:15:00.900 around the world and just to give your listeners a snapshot i'm not just talking about china i've been

00:15:06.300 to mainland china 10 plus times i had a business there that employed hundreds of people that worked

00:15:11.060 for me it was in a business very similar to groupon so it was a daily deal kind of business at

00:15:16.320 restaurants and spas and a variety of things and um all over that asian region hong kong taiwan

00:15:22.860 singapore malaysia south korea so i spent a lot of time there in 2010 2011 and 2012 and i personally

00:15:30.820 was highly highly concerned and skeptical about china and so when james gillier initially brought

00:15:37.800 this up to me in 2015 i was encouraging him to you know um be intense on your due diligence don't

00:15:46.480 believe anything till this it's signed or the money's in the bank ask a lot of questions out of a

00:15:51.200 out of a position of concern so this wasn't this this deal with the bidens wasn't the first time

00:15:57.100 you were familiar with how the chinese do business correct you had done other deals in china with

00:16:03.020 china with chinese interests or assets deals in the tens of millions yeah yeah so you were okay so

00:16:09.880 you got that uh had you also ever done business in africa i've been to africa i've looked at a couple

00:16:15.920 of deals there i personally have not deployed any capital in africa i'm interested

00:16:19.940 with china working on modern day colonialism in africa um it's an interesting interplay so

00:16:28.140 getting back to kind of how america got to know you this testimony against the bidens one thing that

00:16:34.520 struck me is that you're the one guy who emerges out of biden world who's not a criminal telling the

00:16:40.380 truth about them i mean you've got devon archer who was indicted uh i guess you know he's he's

00:16:45.900 subject to his trial you got uh you know the bulger family uh whitey bulger's son i guess i mean i

00:16:53.480 don't know that he's a criminal but but the bulger name is certainly evokes a sense of what kind of

00:16:58.720 of business they're they're at least tied to and then you got uh uh galatas sitting in a prison cell

00:17:06.720 and you're the one guy who emerges you've never been accused of a crime uh to my knowledge i've not

00:17:10.900 never been arrested i've never gone to prison and so you're a business guy that comes out of this and

00:17:16.060 you become the central narrator and the way they chose to attack you was interesting they didn't

00:17:22.440 really go after any of the claims you made because it was all documented instead they they went after

00:17:28.040 your goals and they started by saying you are some sort of political operative mr bobulinski made

00:17:33.900 his hazy allegations against the biden's public for the first time at a press conference choreographed

00:17:40.640 by the trump for president campaign which provided him a venue a gaggle of journalists and even a dress

00:17:47.480 shirt that they went out and bought for him uh to wear to the event hours later mr bobulinski joined

00:17:53.520 the second 2020 presidential debate as donald trump's personal guest where he was seated with kid rock

00:18:01.340 and mark meadows address that directly yeah yeah it's interesting because uh the young american

00:18:07.980 people pray uh hopefully they're not tired because i you know bleed red white and blue first then blue

00:18:13.640 and white for penn state second but um i don't say this lightly i grew up the grandson of a 37 year

00:18:22.480 army intelligence officer that spoke i think eight languages so effectively he was a military spy

00:18:29.480 my mom my aunt was born in cuba that family had to be extracted from cuba back in the day

00:18:36.040 my father spent his whole career as a naval officer traveling the world as i did as a kid

00:18:41.820 my brother 28 year navy flight officer who served in combat my other grandfather served in the air force

00:18:48.560 and i was lucky enough to be invited i think they picked 25 instructors a year to go teach at nuclear

00:18:55.860 power school probably the most elite academic intense environment founded by uh admiral rickover

00:19:01.500 and i only reiterate that each time to the american people to sort of set a tone of i am not political

00:19:09.020 i was willing to die for this country and fight for this country as was every immediate you know male in

00:19:14.580 my family um we love this country i've been simply trying to get the facts out to the american people

00:19:20.820 and you bring up a good point they don't attack the facts i've yet to see hunter biden or abby lowell

00:19:26.080 come out and say hey that text you know they're they're causing concerns it's a screenshot of a blackberry

00:19:32.000 that text has been doctored they never say that because every document every email every text i've produced

00:19:38.580 is factual has metadata unfortunately forensics people couldn't pull it off the blackberry so i had to take pictures

00:19:45.320 well it's not even it's not even challenged that's what's so ridiculous about the criticisms of you

00:19:50.660 showing screenshots from a blackberry there's not a single person who says that these messages were

00:19:54.960 not sent and received right not one they just they just want to nitpick at the um you know at the

00:20:01.120 origin but they don't they don't in any way challenge the content and the content is then uh reinforced

00:20:08.220 with the actual meetings that occurred right and and your own testimony about those experiences but

00:20:13.140 but i want i want to draw a finer point on the question okay when you say your goals are to get

00:20:17.500 get the information out right one thing i noticed is that during the congressional testimony

00:20:22.300 people tried to bait you into saying that you believed joe biden should be impeached do you think

00:20:29.080 chairman comber has proven that joe biden has committed a high crime and misdemeanor i believe with

00:20:35.960 all the evidence he's gathered yes he's proven that joe biden has committed high crimes and misdemeanors

00:20:41.020 okay and so i assume you believe joe biden should be impeached well that's up to you guys

00:20:46.320 you said look that's not for me that's for the congress to decide i'm laying the facts out but

00:20:51.900 when this is all over tony what what what do you want to have happen like do you think the biden's

00:20:57.640 belong in jail do you believe joe biden should be impeached do you believe that this should just

00:21:01.840 flavor our understanding of the broader corruption problems we have should it lead to legislation i've had

00:21:07.780 you know republicans and democrats even say you know watching all this stuff if it's not a crime

00:21:13.700 maybe it should be and and do you want to see like a bob alinsky bill come out of this what you know when

00:21:19.340 this is all over what makes it worth it to you that you've put your name on the line you've put your

00:21:24.800 credibility on the line and and really you know now you go from being a finance guy and a deal guy

00:21:31.800 to being seen as the guy bringing down the biden's well there's a lot in that question so hopefully

00:21:37.680 a little bit of time in the packet so uh i look forward to sort of riding off into the sunset and

00:21:43.440 going back to my private life and enjoying my family willing to fight for this country you know

00:21:48.700 however i'm asked to um but i look forward to that and people such as yourself um who are you know

00:21:55.500 driving change and and making waves in congress uh there's a couple different pieces of this

00:22:00.580 i've always been shocked i think we discussed this in the hearing in the spring of 2017 when i started

00:22:08.760 to take meetings and and get up to speed on this and had lawyers setting up the business

00:22:13.720 i was shocked would be an understatement that the biden's were even able to be anywhere near

00:22:21.180 these discussions remember i held a q security clearance which was granted by the doe and the nsa

00:22:27.360 and i had to fill a form out every year under oath that i hadn't received gifts i i could be

00:22:33.100 wrong on the dollar amount i think it was somewhere between 50 and 100 dollars no immediate member of

00:22:37.760 my family had received gifts or was interacting sort of like fbi agents have to do every year

00:22:42.460 and so with that purview seeing what these guys were doing in the spring of 2017 i asked my lawyers

00:22:49.420 i was like this doesn't make sense i like you know i have a great reputation i've spent time all over

00:22:54.820 the world i work for one of the most private but wealthiest families in the world i can't be i have

00:23:00.000 zero interest in stepping out of the box and so they looked into it from my vantage point and under

00:23:05.320 fcpa and dotted i's and cross t's that doesn't mean they looked at it from the biden's vantage point

00:23:11.340 what they were able to do as a political family and their relationships and all that stuff

00:23:16.380 and so i believe there needs to be um uh legislation to uh require if it's not already in place because

00:23:25.020 i'm not an expert on it for the president's family and the vice president's family because

00:23:29.860 my lawyers are frustrated when they're asking this question i literally had a criminal law firm and a

00:23:35.380 lawyer do a bunch of work not for me i don't need it but what the vice president and their immediate

00:23:41.580 family members are allowed to do under the current legislation you know sort of shocking to me um

00:23:47.160 that's why when aoc asked me the question i could quickly talk about rico and conspiracy and stuff like

00:23:52.260 that because i've spent a large amount of my own personal funds having lawyers dig into that to

00:23:57.320 understand it um because currently i my understanding is the vice president the president live under sort of

00:24:03.140 a slightly different umbrella than if you're an fbi agent or a naval officer or a member of congress

00:24:09.320 or a member of congress and i don't understand how i as a lieutenant with a q security clearance had to

00:24:14.780 disclose every year if i even had a lunch with a foreign national yet the vice president the president

00:24:19.640 united states um possibly can have their immediate family members their son their brothers uh flying

00:24:25.660 all over the world meeting with you know um effectively um foreign nationals with close close so that

00:24:33.300 would be a goal of yours so i mean you've laid out legislation yeah the biden family um is going to

00:24:38.500 also ride off into the sunset i can't tell you exactly when but the threat of china to the united 0.96

00:24:44.480 states of america is more real and has been real for decades and if your listeners want to read a

00:24:51.520 great book there's a book out there called spies and lies that walks through the mss the ministry of state

00:24:57.980 security which is the intel agencies for the chinese communist party and they give a phd dissertation

00:25:04.820 on how little might be as simple as a cab driver in new york gathering information of what they see

00:25:11.400 to you know the highest kind of operations of information exchange and stuff like that so

00:25:17.600 i believe there's well let me stop you there let me stop you there because i i think this is this is

00:25:21.720 getting somewhere really good if if because of your testimony and what you've illuminated

00:25:26.860 we end up with stronger anti-corruption laws let's just make that a basket and katie porter 1.00

00:25:32.880 laid out some great ideas i thought you did a great job in the hearing we should have a policy

00:25:37.520 discussion about how to stop government officials from using their positions to get money or favors

00:25:43.960 now that is a real hearing one that nearly every american regardless of party wants us to hold we could

00:25:52.460 start by talking about how senior executive branch officials can leave public service wait just one

00:25:59.580 year and then legally become lobbyists for big corporations scoring their new employers profitable

00:26:05.940 government contracts and favorable regulations they can even be paid by the big corporations during

00:26:14.480 that short one year while they are waiting to become lobbyists as a down payment for their future ability

00:26:21.300 to peddle influence that's wrong for the panel of witnesses by show of hands as as americans would our

00:26:31.500 witnesses support extending this one year waiting period to at least two years

00:26:35.480 no i would okay so there we go republicans democrats even convicted criminals everybody supports that we

00:26:47.340 should do more to stop influence peddling and then it also resulted in the american people becoming more

00:26:53.540 resilient against this threat of chinese bribery and chinese aggression and malign influence but it never 1.00

00:27:00.760 resulted in an impeachment of joe biden or a prosecution or criminal justice if it just resulted in

00:27:06.400 legislation and then stronger american resilience against china will all of it have been worth it to you a

00:27:13.120 a thousand percent a thousand percent i said i bleed red white and blue i don't say that lightly

00:27:17.640 we have to protect our country our people our intellectual property all these people in this

00:27:24.660 country working 50 60 hour weeks to produce things that are being stolen by the chinese communist party 0.93

00:27:31.080 we need to protect them and wake up to how they are infiltrating our country and notice they are using 0.98

00:27:38.760 capital to do it obviously one of the largest economies in the world back and forth with the united states

00:27:44.680 they deploy people are like oh the buying's millions of dollars the the chinese communist party

00:27:50.380 deploys probably tens of billions if not hundreds of billions of dollars around the world infiltrating

00:27:56.700 africa south america europe um eastern europe uh and stuff like that and we need to wake up so if that's

00:28:04.680 addressed legislation i think the american people are going to hold the biden family accountable i don't

00:28:09.820 need to do that but what's interesting about that is there's there's no resentment uh in you toward

00:28:16.520 the biden's it's toward china correct it's it's toward the people offering the bribes considerably more

00:28:21.860 than it is the people taking them and i think that you've been unfairly treated in that way and the truth

00:28:26.600 if joe biden and hunter biden and the biden family came out in 2020 or 2019 when i started seeing you

00:28:35.480 know um uh president trump getting you know uh impeached for a phone call and all that stuff really

00:28:41.520 don't want to weigh in on that but i understood the corruption in ukraine i've been to ukraine numerous

00:28:46.900 times i've seen business transacted there and seen some you know interesting stuff to say the least

00:28:52.520 if they had just simply come out and told the truth yes i've met with my son's business partners

00:28:59.420 um maybe i crossed a line i didn't understand i was crossing it or i did cross it uh and stuff like

00:29:05.820 that if they told the american people the truth in 2020 i would have simply given this information to

00:29:10.920 the appropriate people senators congressmen the doj and i would have people would have never heard my

00:29:15.540 name nor would they have needed to but when they were willing to lie about all these facts that are

00:29:20.320 insanely well documented not only by me by numerous business partners across large spans of time

00:29:27.100 by our own department of justice and if somebody really wants to exhaust themselves they can sit

00:29:32.180 down and cross connect all these different data points and see well that text message is valid

00:29:36.660 because it's talked about three different times in other communications and so um my i don't have

00:29:41.960 animosity towards the biden family yes they defrauded me yes they stepped out of the box this is about

00:29:47.140 our country we have to protect ourselves against the chinese communist party and what they're willing 1.00

00:29:52.600 to do to become the global power uh and supersede the united states of america you've really become a

00:29:58.920 china hawk you've gone from somebody i've been a china hawk since i left there in 2012 uh based on the

00:30:04.560 stuff i saw go on there i mean i would always well there's different views on this tony there's there's

00:30:08.520 like the you know the steve bannon view that china's trying to dominate all of us we have they're

00:30:13.280 engaged in irregular warfare against us we have to go full throttle against them and then kind of on

00:30:18.800 the other end of the continuum there's the elon musk view that the people of china are wonderful

00:30:23.080 that uh he's bullish on china's opportunities and really if we draw china closer to us then they will

00:30:30.360 be more like us um i plot myself far closer to the steve bannon uh perspective than the elon

00:30:37.720 perspective because as we've drawn china closer to us we've just become more like them well and just

00:30:43.740 to differentiate this yes there is a material difference between the chinese communist party

00:30:48.180 and the leadership and the chinese people i had hundreds of chinese people working for me

00:30:54.160 in mainland china hong kong and they were wonderful smart hard-working caring people

00:31:01.520 but they were different than the power center of the chinese communist party they themselves

00:31:07.700 complained about the chinese communist party and the power centers and that ccp uses their power 0.99

00:31:14.820 of leverage over chinese nationals on our own soil and around the world to gather information and stuff

00:31:21.940 like that so elon musk what an amazing entrepreneur and crazy smart guy i think he is differentiating

00:31:28.320 between effectively the chinese people and the chinese communist party but unfortunately

00:31:32.520 the chinese communist party gets the chinese people to do things many of them probably don't want to do

00:31:38.840 but the power they hold over their family their jobs their livelihood is uh something that we're not

00:31:45.300 familiar with in this country china's a colonial power right they're a modern colonial power they want 0.97

00:31:52.840 to extract resources from other places for their benefit and that's going to get into this trial that i'm

00:31:57.620 dying to get into but but i really enjoy the top line analysis of of what's going on in the world i

00:32:02.280 think it educates people a great deal and i think a lot of americans say okay well china seeks this

00:32:07.700 bipolarity you know right now arguably we live in a unipolar world china seeks bipolarity and uh you know 0.96

00:32:14.780 they um they are going to try to crowd out u.s influence in the world with the one belt one road

00:32:22.880 initiative get people more tied into their economic systems military systems whatever i see it

00:32:28.100 differently i actually don't believe china is simply trying to crowd out the united states i think they

00:32:33.480 are trying to include the united states in the belt in one road initiative as a subservient power that

00:32:39.380 it's not just they want deals elsewhere to feed china they actually want deals in the united states

00:32:44.420 100 percent feeding china and and i think that's a misconception with a lot of people but you are a

00:32:51.080 frontline witness to china's efforts forget the bidens for a moment china's efforts to try to get

00:32:58.040 deals inside the united states not for our benefit but for their benefit and and does that just kind

00:33:04.140 of shape how you think about them and what would you add to just a regular person's understanding of

00:33:08.920 what china's real goals are well the american people need to understand that the chinese communist

00:33:13.760 party the mss their intel agencies and stuff like that are using capital to infiltrate our country

00:33:20.860 we're a capitalistic country we're you know founded on free enterprise and trust and the ability to go

00:33:26.900 out and make your dreams true and they're feeding into that by using large amounts of capital so it's

00:33:32.000 important that they hear because there was all this discussion in 2020 about 10 million dollars for

00:33:36.820 sign hog the 10 million dollars was insignificant that 10 million dollars was to get office space

00:33:42.240 although hunter wanted to take it all out and put it in his piggy bank day one which was part of the

00:33:46.760 reason why we went back and forth but director zhang and chairman you were talking about deploying

00:33:51.520 billions to potentially tens of billions of u.s dollars in the united states in um infrastructure

00:33:58.440 projects financial institutions uh um if your readers aren't familiar there's a very successful

00:34:04.660 investment bank called molus and company ken molus the founder of that business it's a multi-billion

00:34:09.540 dollar enterprise i sat down with him at the rooftop of the peninsula hotel in 2020

00:34:14.400 in a very serious discussion talking about buying molus and company a multi-billion dollar enterprise

00:34:22.380 ken molus wouldn't have taken the time to sit down with me if he didn't think it was real

00:34:26.180 right and we were having those discussions because cefc was looking at deploying large amounts of money

00:34:34.140 on our own so yeah so scale really important here the 10 million that is like a little sprinkle fund

00:34:40.480 that is not the big sprinkle it's like a you know a drop yeah a drop but but but do this orient

00:34:46.660 listeners right now what is cefc who is chairman yi who is director zhang and who is patrick ho give

00:34:54.020 me those four cefc zhang yi ho okay so cefc at its peak was a top five private enterprise in uh mainland

00:35:02.120 china um in the energy business but also in the financial institution business and a variety of

00:35:07.620 other tech military stuff that they were doing but the primary core of it was the energy business

00:35:13.020 around the world and at its peak i think it was doing in the 40s uh 40 plus billion dollars of

00:35:18.520 revenue on an annual basis chairman yi was the chairman of that company and if you look him up

00:35:24.080 you'll notice that he's a very stealth individual people say there's not much known about him where did

00:35:29.520 he come from where did cfc come from all of a sudden they're on the global stage and you have

00:35:34.640 this forbes 40 under 40 individual flying around on an airbus 300 i believe and when he touched down

00:35:40.780 in a city he would roll with an entourage like 15 20 people deep of executives so chairman yi was the

00:35:46.940 executive or the chairman of it who in march of 2018 disappeared hasn't been seen since people

00:35:54.680 speculate whether he's dead or in a mud hole in mainland china so that's part of our story later

00:35:59.140 so that's chairman yi then you have director zhang there was a debate whether he's the number two or

00:36:04.280 number three i believe based on my interaction and knowledge that he was the senior most chinese

00:36:09.880 communist party member at cefc i was told he was sort of put in place to keep an eye on chairman yi

00:36:16.420 a couple of different times by people i would trust and he was the one flying around the world

00:36:23.000 striking deals there's a famous picture of him with putin in budapest hungary in august 2017 when

00:36:30.940 they were in the middle of the rosnev deal he's the individual i interacted with extensively up until

00:36:36.740 the end of july 2017 when the biden stepped in and decided they wanted to you know take all the

00:36:42.440 money directly themselves but director zhang interesting enough was able to leave the united states

00:36:47.640 was never named in that trial that we're going to talk about in the sdny he's named

00:36:52.080 by witnesses but he was never charged and his visas were revoked in the summer of 2017 so he's a high

00:36:59.260 level executive he was the you know on the ground deal guy doing business in you know africa south

00:37:05.660 america all over the world and then patrick ho i never met i'd actually never heard of patrick ho

00:37:12.460 until he was indicted in november of 2017 and this house of cards built by the chinese communist party

00:37:20.380 called cfc came crumbling down um between patrick ho's indictment and chairman yi disappearing into

00:37:27.440 a mud hole or jail and call it a very early may have been late february but early march 2018 so

00:37:34.040 don't know if that covers all very helpful context so cfc this is the big chinese energy business

00:37:39.440 investment conglomerate that is going to plow in the cash in theory yeah to uh to oneida this business

00:37:47.220 entity the one where we'd originally uh contemplated 10 for the big guy you know you've done that

00:37:54.300 extensively on a lot of things but but just for those catching up you know we get oneida set up

00:38:00.500 cfc is going to plow the money in zhang gets that shakedown text message from hunter biden we'll throw

00:38:07.660 that on the screen uh saying i'm sitting here with my father you know start making the payments

00:38:12.560 and then patrick ho someone you haven't met but we're going to learn about him ho is one of these

00:38:18.100 executives whose job it is to consummate the bribe to make the government official compromised and do

00:38:26.280 what's necessary and he ends up running a foundation that is funded entirely by cfc correct

00:38:33.660 and this is not unusual by the way shell has a foundation that they run exxon has a foundation

00:38:39.620 they run and these foundations largely exist to build goodwill and to achieve the goals of the

00:38:45.800 company but here with china based on everything we've been discussing leading up to this point

00:38:51.140 you have described a china that is trying to get senior government officials former government

00:38:56.460 officials upcoming government officials compromised and so there is this trial that occurs that you just

00:39:03.120 referenced right in new york where patrick ho is accused by the united states government

00:39:09.060 of facilitating these bribes and i want to read the opening statement in this trial so again

00:39:15.200 do you mind if i just address one piece of that because you just hit a lot for the american people

00:39:19.360 listening to this i'd encourage you to look at the whatsapp messages that matt just referenced

00:39:24.260 on july 30th 2017 and july 31st 2017 but even more important look at the one on july 25th 2017

00:39:34.800 it's a group discussion called oneida holdings it was myself james gillier rob walker hunter biden and

00:39:41.320 jim biden and in that message hunter says i haven't spoken to either of them meaning he hasn't spoken

00:39:48.660 to director zhang or chairman yi because he was yielding to me to focus on getting the 10 million

00:39:55.540 dollars of capital into sino walk holdings to capitalize the business that's july 25th where

00:40:01.840 he says i haven't spoken to any of them then five days later on july 30th he invokes his father sitting

00:40:08.320 next to him because he knows he's broke he has all these payments due for his alimony a variety of things

00:40:16.120 on the 1st of august and he and at that time remember i didn't know he was a uh drug addict

00:40:23.000 or had these issues i had no idea to the extent of the problems that he was personally dealing with

00:40:28.240 uh and stuff like that but on the 30th he says why haven't you fulfilled the commitment

00:40:33.340 that commitment he's talking about is sino hawk holdings okay then on the 31st all of a sudden

00:40:41.500 his tone changes after he's had a discussion with director zhang and um and zhao who was the

00:40:48.680 interpreter for director zhang and all of a sudden he's now reshaping it where the commitment to sino

00:40:54.720 holding isn't what he's focused on he's focusing on reshaping the partnership to remove oneida and put

00:41:01.180 his law firm awasco in as a 50 percent owner why was he able to do that it plays into your focus matt

00:41:08.420 he was able to do that because all cefc cared about was the biden family and the biden name i was

00:41:14.820 irrelevant i was insignificant i had looked director zhang in the face numerous times the first time i

00:41:19.660 met him i told him listen i believe you're going to lie cheat and steal and he laughed and said listen

00:41:25.340 we're very westernized when we say we're going to do something we will do it and i said well that's

00:41:29.820 not been my my um track record in my interaction being in china and all that stuff and so they knew

00:41:36.720 they had fully executed operating agreements in sino hawk holdings and they knew they had liability

00:41:41.360 to circumvent those agreements but they were willing to do that at the end of july 2017

00:41:46.380 because all they wanted was the biden family and the power and the access to information and why at

00:41:53.640 that moment in time because this is important to the to the the trial you're going to talk about

00:41:58.400 because it it plays into how they acted they made they had me chase them for two months for this

00:42:03.820 money we're getting to it we're getting to it we're getting to why all of a sudden did it flow

00:42:09.520 within 10 days well hunter invokes his father but more importantly the chinese needed something

00:42:15.280 cefc was under the impression there were sealed indictments of they didn't know who they thought

00:42:22.060 possibly patrick ho possibly the chairman possibly director zhang at the end of july 2017

00:42:28.000 and they needed information and access and so they were willing to do whatever the biden's asked

00:42:33.660 them to do i was insignificant james gillier was insignificant rob walker and that's what happened

00:42:39.260 and those whatsapp messages spell it out in intimate detail and our cross you can cross check them with

00:42:44.800 a variety of information and so my hats off to um you know uh shapley and ziggler for being bold and

00:42:52.080 proud and fighting for the truth for the american people and coming out and producing that information

00:42:56.320 so sorry i just thought very helpful we'll get very important all that on the screen and all that

00:43:01.540 as context because the fundamental essence of the biden defense here is that this wasn't a bribe with cefc

00:43:08.680 this was legitimate business and they cast you as just kind of a disgruntled business guy who didn't get

00:43:15.360 the right part of the deal that you wanted when in reality you were the one being duped to be brought

00:43:21.080 in to look like this was legitimate business because you're a legitimate businessman but then

00:43:25.500 then around the legitimate business entity oneida holdings they were getting the payments and it's

00:43:32.340 so correct the way you describe it the only reason they were able to go around you the legitimate

00:43:36.880 businessman is because this wasn't legitimate business so if the if the core tenant of the

00:43:41.920 biden defense is this is all legitimate business that's when you made the point at the hearings people

00:43:47.940 need to know the truth about cefc and what they're doing and so what i'm and how come no deal was

00:43:54.200 ever done how come with sino hawk there wasn't a deal done i don't mean the 10 million dollars i mean

00:43:59.920 an actual transaction where we invested hundreds of millions or billions of dollars i had a detailed

00:44:05.540 deal where we were going to invest three to five hundred million dollars in romania didn't happen

00:44:10.100 the biden's claim they worked for two years to present all these deals how come none of the deals

00:44:14.900 happened you're going to get to it because you're going to focus on this trial and that's the same way

00:44:19.720 they operated in chad and uganda because they needed things so they came with their capital they

00:44:25.880 claimed they were going to do things when they got what they needed they sort of then sort of just

00:44:30.460 rode off and moved on to the next thing and what they needed at the end of july 2017 is they needed

00:44:37.000 intel and details about those sealed indictments of cfc executives and what it meant to their company

00:44:43.320 so key on that and we also want to put up on the screen here the uh the devin archer messages with

00:44:48.380 hunter biden where he's saying well gee hunter we're in essence we're telling the chinese we can

00:44:54.800 protect them from indictments and here i am devin archer getting indicted it sort of it sort of limits

00:45:00.860 our ability to be able to sell that protection but but here here is the opening statement uh in the

00:45:06.840 government's allegations against cfc this is a case about greed and corruption about more than two

00:45:14.000 million dollars in bribes cash hidden in gift boxes international wire transfers and promises

00:45:20.840 of future riches bribes offered and paid by the defendant that man patrick ho offered and paid

00:45:27.420 to the leaders of two african nations all done in an effort to corruptly obtain business for a

00:45:33.160 multi-billion dollar chinese oil company during this trial you will hear about two bribery schemes that

00:45:38.860 were global but each began right here in new york the first scheme involved the republic of chad a

00:45:44.040 country in africa the defendant and his business associates offered two million dollars in cash

00:45:48.740 to the top public official in chad the president they concealed the cash in gift boxes and they offered

00:45:56.620 this bribe in an effort to obtain valuable oil rights the second scheme was similar but involved the

00:46:01.760 republic of uganda another country in africa the defendant and his associates sought to bribe two of the

00:46:08.520 top officials in uganda the president and the foreign minister the defendant schemed to pay them

00:46:13.940 millions of dollars in cash and wire transfers along with offering them a cut of future profits

00:46:19.600 again all in an effort to obtain business for the chinese oil company how was the defendant able to get

00:46:26.000 access to such high-ranking officials in both of these schemes he took advantage of the fact that he ran a

00:46:31.120 non-profit organization which was fully funded by the oil company this position gave him access to some of

00:46:37.500 the most powerful leaders around the globe including at the united nations right here in manhattan he also

00:46:44.280 held meetings here in new york and he moneyed wire wired money through banks here in new york

00:46:48.620 but you'll learn that while the defendant led a non-profit what drove him to chad in uganda was

00:46:54.720 money business you see the oil company already had operations in asia and europe but they were looking to

00:47:00.780 expand into the african market but the defendant and his associates didn't want to take time to win

00:47:05.900 business the right way in a competitive role after all someone else might get that deal so they cheated

00:47:12.960 they decided to offer bribes to gain an unfair advantage and the defendant used his non-profit

00:47:19.040 organization to make it look like those bribes were something else something legitimate but as the

00:47:26.160 evidence will show those payments weren't charitable donations they weren't political contributions

00:47:30.860 they were bribes money offered to the top officials in chad in uganda in exchange for business what the

00:47:38.120 defendant did wasn't just wrong it wasn't business as usual it was corrupt and it was criminal and that

00:47:44.880 is why we are here today ladies and gentlemen this opening statement is the government's opportunity

00:47:49.480 to give you an overview of the evidence we're going to show you in this case first i'm going to talk

00:47:54.540 about what the evidence is going to show second i'm going to talk about the different types of

00:47:59.040 evidence that you're going to see and third i'll give you a brief overview of the charges so what

00:48:03.180 will the evidence show you'll learn that the defendant is a citizen of china and during the scheme

00:48:07.860 he was working on behalf of a multi-billion dollar chinese company called cefc china energy or just cefc

00:48:15.240 for short the company is headquartered in shanghai china with operations and offices around the world

00:48:20.640 it's a massive company engaged in primarily the oil business and banking as well as many other things

00:48:26.080 now while the defendant worked on behalf of this massive company he did so carefully indirectly

00:48:31.000 you'll learn that the defendant wasn't at least on paper an employee of the oil company instead he was

00:48:36.000 the secretary general of a non-profit organization or ngo that the oil company funded in fact the

00:48:41.720 non-profit ngo also went by the same abbreviation as the energy company cefc running an ngo allowed the

00:48:49.000 defendant to pass himself off as a humanitarian a man solely interested in promoting causes like

00:48:53.760 sustainable development and energy security and clean water and those position at the ngo existed

00:48:59.440 the defendant gained access to powerful leaders across the globe and that access was brokered in

00:49:05.660 many cases right here in manhattan his ngo participated in official united nations events

00:49:11.260 it looked impressive but behind closed doors the defendant was focused on business business for cefc

00:49:17.680 the multi-billion dollar oil company that funded his ngo he used his ngo to gain access to world

00:49:23.460 leaders who could benefit the oil company's business and he used the cover of the ngo to pay bribes where

00:49:30.100 it felt necessary to get the job done bribes for business this for that you'll see he carried out the same

00:49:38.340 plan both chad and uganda the defendant wanted to break into the african market so he threw money at top

00:49:43.460 leaders in both countries in uganda the scheme resulted in business being directed to the defendant

00:49:49.220 and cefc in chad however the scheme backfired the president rejected the bribe and was furious about

00:49:56.140 it but as you'll learn the law makes it a crime to offer a bribe whether or not the foreign official

00:50:02.920 accepts it and whether or not the bribe successfully leads to any business or profits and you'll see

00:50:09.680 overwhelming evidence that the defendant did exactly that he schemed and conspired to corrupt

00:50:15.100 official decision making in chad and uganda he offered millions of dollars in bribes and he did

00:50:20.360 so in an effort to gain business now i'd like to talk about the scheme in greater detail the scheme

00:50:27.340 began in the fall of 2014 when the defendant and his business associates sought out oil projects in

00:50:31.500 chad at the time cefc had operations in asia and europe but had not yet established themselves in

00:50:36.480 africa to change this the defendant wanted to go straight to the top to engage directly with the

00:50:41.720 president of chad but the defendant didn't know the president so he sought out someone who did

00:50:46.300 a man named chish gaido gaido was a former foreign minister in senegal a country in west africa gaido

00:50:55.940 was connected to some of the most powerful officials in africa including the president of chad so the

00:50:59.820 defendant paid gaido to introduce him to the president you'll learn the defendant first met with gaido

00:51:04.720 right here in manhattan steps from the united nations following this meeting the defendant

00:51:08.480 reported back to his boss the chairman of the multi-billion dollar oil company that he had set

00:51:13.220 in motion a plan to receive special attention and support from the president of chad a couple of

00:51:18.740 weeks later november of 2014 the defendant flew to chad with other representatives from the cefc oil

00:51:23.620 company along with gaido they met with the president and the president was receptive he presented

00:51:29.300 the defendant and cefc with an opportunity to to obtain extremely valuable oil fields but at the

00:51:35.760 first meeting they didn't go into details like how much cefc would pay to achieve those rights

00:51:41.320 all the defendant knew is that the president would make the final decision on whether or not cefc

00:51:46.640 would sell those rights and at what price the defendant was eager to seal the deal so through gaido

00:51:53.740 he represented that they would set up a second meeting in chad almost immediately on the heels

00:51:58.920 of the first meeting gaido thought this was a bad idea it was too soon cefc had not done the work yet

00:52:04.760 to figure out the price it would offer for the oil but the defendant insisted on the second meeting right

00:52:08.320 away why the defendant wanted the second meeting so badly they wanted to get in front of the president

00:52:13.660 in person before any negotiation on the price had taken place because the plan was to bribe the

00:52:20.640 president to throw money at him to make sure the negotiation went the way the defendant wanted

00:52:25.260 it to go you see during the second meeting with the president of chad the defendant and his associate

00:52:30.020 presented the president with several gift boxes but they didn't just contain gifts hidden inside

00:52:37.180 was two million dollars in cash money for an oil deal this for that you'll learn however the defendant

00:52:46.300 had their corrupt plan backfire the president of chad saw this as a blatant attempt to bribe him

00:52:51.040 he was furious he confronted the defendant and the other oil company representatives he demanded

00:52:55.940 to know why they had tried to bribe him and pay him off after the president spoke the first person to

00:53:01.540 respond to the defendant replied and said no denial instead they said the president was mistaken or

00:53:08.400 misunderstood the defendant was simply that the defendant was impressed by the president's reaction

00:53:14.380 the defendant and his associates then spoke quickly and privately they came up with a solution they

00:53:20.600 convinced the president to keep the money and they would wire him a letter saying that the two million

00:53:25.800 dollars in cash was really just a charitable donation and they did just that you'll learn that

00:53:30.400 after leaving chad the defendant did a draft short letter to the president saying the oil company

00:53:34.800 wished to make the two million dollar donation for which the president would use something at his

00:53:40.100 personal disposal but along with that letter the defendant worked on a second document that was

00:53:44.720 included in the letter an agreement between the oil company and the government of chad that said the

00:53:48.680 chadian government would support the oil company in obtaining the oil rights in chad because call it a

00:53:54.700 donation or not the defendant was focused on business if he could get the business by labeling

00:54:01.000 secret cash in a box as a donation that was just fine let's talk about how the defense second

00:54:07.420 bribery scheme worked this involved uganda he played much the same game just with different players

00:54:14.700 this time he didn't offer just one bribe he offered multiple bribes to two high-level officials in

00:54:21.620 uganda the foreign minister and the president you'll learn that in 2014 and 2015 the defendant using his

00:54:26.620 status as the head of a non-profit ngo met multiple times in new york with the former foreign minister of

00:54:32.080 uganda at the time the foreign minister was serving a one-year term as one of the highest ranking

00:54:36.860 officials at the united nations the president of the general assembly and during these private

00:54:41.080 meetings they discussed ways to connect the defendant and his associates with the oil company

00:54:45.280 to the president of uganda as it happened the president of uganda was the foreign minister's

00:54:50.080 brother-in-law and the foreign minister promised they could easily bring the two sides together

00:54:54.560 so the defendant developed a relationship with the foreign minister in public the defendant appeared

00:54:59.480 with him at u.n events gave speeches talked about lofty humanitarian goals but in private the

00:55:04.740 defendant was focused on how the foreign minister could open doors for cefc to pursue all sorts of

00:55:10.160 business in uganda in late 2015 the foreign minister's term at the united nations ended he

00:55:15.220 returned to his powerful position in uganda and at that point all the groundwork had been laid

00:55:20.440 the foreign minister was ready to help the defendant and the defendant was more than willing to pay up

00:55:26.380 the foreign minister reached out to the defendant he requested a contribution or donation

00:55:30.800 for a so-called foundation the foreign minister wanted to launch and he provided the account

00:55:35.940 information for an international wire transfer the defendant eagerly responded that he was ready to

00:55:40.940 renew their commitment and agreement but you'll see that this talk about a donation was all winks

00:55:46.620 and nods the defendant didn't ask anything about what the foundation would do they didn't talk

00:55:52.520 about that as far as the defendant was concerned all that mattered was that the foreign minister

00:55:56.760 wanted to get paid but before he paid up the defendant made crystal clear that he wanted

00:56:02.280 something in exchange the defendant demanded an invitation to the inauguration of the president

00:56:06.740 of uganda who had just been re-elected in email after email the defendant demanded meetings with the

00:56:12.300 president and other top ugandan officials and insisted that before traveling to uganda the foreign

00:56:17.500 minister provided with a list of specific projects that cefc could participate in and when he got the

00:56:23.580 invitation to the inauguration and received assurances that he would get access to the needed

00:56:27.240 ugandan officials who would steer business to cefc the defendant was ready to pay up he wired half a

00:56:33.120 million dollars to the account of the foreign minister but the corrupt scheme didn't stop with

00:56:37.360 the foreign minister the defendant also schemed to bribe the president of uganda the foreign minister's

00:56:42.760 brother-in-law the defendant suggested to his boss the chairman of the oil company that the money be

00:56:48.060 provided in cash as a supposed donation to the president's re-election campaign of course the

00:56:53.100 president had just been re-elected this made no sense but it didn't matter to the defendant business

00:56:58.200 mattered so he was about to board the plane to yaconda the defendant told the foreign minister

00:57:02.900 that he needed special assistance with customs in uganda because they were bringing some quote very

00:57:08.400 nice gifts for your president what did the defendant and cefc want in exchange for their money as i said it 0.59

00:57:14.340 was simple business business for cefc after wiring half a million dollars and landing in uganda with

00:57:19.800 those very gifts the defendant and his associates met with the president the foreign minister and

00:57:24.880 other ugandan officials they got the inside track on a variety of profitable business opportunities

00:57:30.100 the defendant reported back to his boss at cefc that the visit and the discussions were successful

00:57:35.960 that the president was likely to be highly supportive of cooperating with cefc in fields like energy

00:57:41.540 infrastructure finance agriculture and tourism the president even agreed to carve out a large piece

00:57:46.220 near of land near lake victoria for the oil company to develop a high-end tourist resort shortly after

00:57:52.700 the trip to uganda the defendant got back in touch with the foreign minister he said that cefc had decided

00:57:57.700 that their first priority would be to acquire a ugandan bank the defendant promised the foreign minister

00:58:03.060 the president could be partners in the venture so that if cefc profited those officials would be able

00:58:08.820 to line their pockets too and sure enough a few months later the foreign minister learned of a ugandan bank

00:58:15.000 that was looking to be acquired and who did he bring this opportunity to the defendant and cefc this for

00:58:22.660 that that is a summary of what happened this is the partial opening statement of not republicans in

00:58:31.440 congress but the actual united states government and so we're supposed to believe that that cefc which

00:58:37.640 by the way patrick co gets convicted on six of seven counts gets sentenced to three years in prison

00:58:43.320 based on those allegations and those charges joel valdez executive producer firebrand your take on

00:58:50.080 the government's opening statement i can't wait to watch the netflix series on this if they even come

00:58:55.000 forward with this but that was insane that usually you know some of these uh so late i feel like the

00:59:00.660 democrats in congress want you to believe that this is you know all these are just hunter is just such a

00:59:04.600 great businessman but these deals that he's doing with these people seem to just be clearly corrupt

00:59:09.840 and i think they laid it out pretty well in this well and what's interesting is the pattern recognition

00:59:14.580 if you heard me going through that you can actually start to think about who plays what role here

00:59:19.580 and so as this trial goes on uh tony and you're the one who was pounding the table on this in the

00:59:25.100 congressional testimony we learn of this serbian guy the serbian guy tell us about him well just real

00:59:31.080 quick because joel hits this so you just did a phenomenal job reading what our own department of

00:59:36.180 justice opened a seven day i think the eighth day was um you know finalizing with the jury trial

00:59:43.980 in the sdny and notice because i would love for you to interview the prosecutors why didn't they name

00:59:51.480 chairman ye why didn't they name director zhang and why were they so shy about naming cfc and the

00:59:57.920 indictments and their trial patrick ho was working at behest of all of them director zhang the

01:00:04.900 the plane that left hong kong to fly with the two million dollars of gift boxes director zhang was

01:00:12.100 the senior cfc official on that the same director zhang that hunter biden was shaking down on july 30th

01:00:18.480 2017 demanding that they fund 10 million dollars and then ultimately on the 31st of the biden family

01:00:24.660 so there's a saying walks like a duck talks like a duck it's probably a duck yeah this is quacking a

01:00:31.580 lot like a bride and the evolution if you look at the fact pattern with the biden's it's exactly the

01:00:37.940 same fact pattern as uganda and chad and those were just what the sdny talked about cfc was doing this

01:00:44.760 all over the world yeah well this is just where they had a sufficient jurisdictional nexus through

01:00:49.200 the new york banks and the new york meetings but what's interesting you've got to look at the common

01:00:54.660 threads here and to our listeners this will repeat again in some other chinese enterprise it's certain

01:00:59.960 to repeat but first you have what what has to look like a legitimate thing and so that's where ho's

01:01:06.120 there to say oh well this is just our international sustainable development work and clean water

01:01:10.660 but don't you see you were the legitimate thing they need somebody to be out there to make the

01:01:16.180 bribe payment that's really going on under the table look legitimate so in a lot of ways ho does 0.84

01:01:21.220 this for the company but they couldn't have ho running around anywhere and i think they kind of

01:01:25.040 knew he was in trouble for this africa stuff so they go get him a bobolinski to say okay we got

01:01:29.540 something to make this look legitimate and that's when the real dirty stuff starts so there's a cycle

01:01:34.800 here that that i was able to track first cefc needs the connectors then they need the introductions

01:01:41.860 then they need the bribes then they need the deals so in this trial we get introduced to the first

01:01:47.700 and by the way hunter right connect gilyar connector right then they get to the info you know the

01:01:54.600 government people the bidens then the bribes then then the payoff jeremic who's jeremic so vuk

01:02:01.780 jeremic is a serbian national who was the president of the general assembly the u.n general assembly

01:02:07.960 i believe he was there 2012 you serve in a one-year capacity and that's where he met patrick ho

01:02:16.120 through that relationship and they developed and then when he left when vuk jeremic left

01:02:21.200 uh he was actually a paid advisor to cfc for multiple years he was getting i think also oh so

01:02:28.560 wait a second you mean jeremic might have gotten paid millions of dollars across his total contract

01:02:32.600 so so vuk jeremic is the president of the u.n general assembly and in that role you got a lot of

01:02:38.400 relationships with all the foreign ministers the key power players all over the world and he rolls out

01:02:44.520 of that job and he actually leaves the job because his government in serbia gets thrown out of power

01:02:49.540 so you can't be the representative of your government when your government gets thrown out of power he

01:02:54.000 loses that and what what immediately happens powerful man powerful position right out of power

01:02:59.380 the chinese see the opportunity they scoop him up he starts getting hundreds of thousands maybe

01:03:04.640 millions of dollars from china immediately as a connector upon that role and then who does

01:03:10.480 what's cefc saying at this time patrick ho saying we got to get these african deals in chad and uganda

01:03:16.680 so they go to vuk jeremic and they say well you're a serbian guy but you had this position

01:03:21.920 as the president of the u.n general assembly so who can you connect us with in africa

01:03:26.280 and that's where we meet gadio am i saying that right yeah i think it's uh gadio and the interesting

01:03:32.580 thing here which is powerful for the american people is you have to understand the way intel or sort of

01:03:39.120 operations work because vuk jeremic was witness number one for the united states government the

01:03:44.180 doj they didn't accuse him of any wrongdoing he showed up and was happy to testify i think at his

01:03:50.780 peak he might have been getting paid a million dollars a year under a cfc contract i'd have to go

01:03:55.260 back and check that but notice that because everyone's like well why wouldn't patrick ho know

01:04:00.060 what chairman ye's agenda was well chairman ye didn't tell patrick ho probably all of his agenda

01:04:05.760 nor did director zhang nor so vuk jeremic was simply a connector and obviously leaving the you

01:04:11.660 know president of the u.n general assembly he knew the leaders of all the countries around the world

01:04:16.300 and could get to any of them and so they were happy cfc they were happy to engage him and pay him

01:04:21.360 large sums of money to just simply make introductions and then vuk would you know leave the room and go

01:04:27.360 on with his other stuff i think a lot of people don't know that that that is a cottage industry that

01:04:32.360 exists people that get paid millions of dollars just to make these connections so vuk jeremic

01:04:37.840 creates this meeting with gadio gadio is the former foreign minister of senegal oh and by the way

01:04:44.140 former president of the u.n general assembly how interesting how that works right and then how

01:04:50.180 does gadio then become uh an asset essentially of the chinese in this deal well so he um had the

01:04:57.660 relationship originally with uh the president of chad not just a relationship but close friendship

01:05:03.000 apparently and so vuk um engaged them to set up that meeting originally with patrick ho my understanding

01:05:10.260 is the original meetings were in new york around the u.n stuff and then ultimately they did on-site

01:05:15.760 meetings in chad where you know those gift boxes were exchanged and stuff like that but um it's just a

01:05:22.040 serial of leveraging powerful political people using capital to do that getting in the room with

01:05:28.100 the right people and then you know cfc remember cfc in the first meeting wouldn't tell you their agenda

01:05:33.920 because if they actually told you their true agenda you would get up and walk out of the room

01:05:37.580 right vuk jeremic is simply oh i can get you a meeting with him you're paying so he sets him up he

01:05:43.780 helps the government but he's getting a meeting with another guy getting a meeting this gadio guy yeah so

01:05:48.880 he's an african from senegal i think he knew jeremic they'd both gone to harvard together

01:05:54.260 and so gadio shows up and says okay i will i will connect cfc with people in government right

01:06:02.060 doesn't it doesn't gadio essentially play the role of the biden president of the country yeah but isn't

01:06:07.540 he the archetype yeah and what we haven't talked about is vuk jeremic had a very very close relationship

01:06:13.560 with hunter biden and the biden family and that's actually talked about in the fall of 2015 when cfc

01:06:21.120 started making their approach to the biden family which started in october 2015 so vuk jeremic's not

01:06:28.180 only involved in that but also a very close relationship going back to those whatsapp messages

01:06:33.420 that your listeners can go and see that on july 31st in between shaking down director zhang for the

01:06:39.760 money and then a phone call vuk jeremic reaches out to hunter biden and hunter responds saying hey

01:06:45.740 i'm on with the director i'll call you after so all these people are intertwined and i believe under

01:06:51.500 national security there's something much bigger out there that we haven't been fully educated on on

01:06:56.740 what was going on and you can see it why didn't the sdny name cfc chairman yi and director zhang

01:07:03.380 why was charles mcgonigal the head of counterintelligence of the fbi a 25 career veteran

01:07:09.740 of the fbi was right in the middle of all of this in july of 2017 and 2018 so i believe there's a lot

01:07:17.260 more um that our intel agencies and the department of justice know about all these parts as well as the

01:07:22.980 biden family's involvement that uh the american people haven't quite yet been educated on the u.n

01:07:28.120 doesn't come come out smelling like a rose on this do they not when it looks like someone from 0.76

01:07:32.880 one of these third world countries gets a major position of power which is kind of the last thing 1.00

01:07:37.600 that happens before you get some major consulting contract from the chinese and as gadio describes

01:07:43.400 it he says well you know i said i'd get him with the president of chad i show up i don't know that

01:07:48.520 this two million dollars in cash in a box is going to be presented it gets presented gadio says

01:07:53.880 i uh should have known better i should have walked away i knew it was a bribe i stayed involved in

01:07:59.460 the conspiracy he gets a non-prosecution agreement in order to testify against patrick ho who's who's

01:08:06.340 the target here but but what it's important for people to see is when the chinese are trying to do

01:08:11.580 one of these corrupt deals they they absolutely have to have the folks to um to really lubricate that 0.99

01:08:19.640 bribe and in in this trial you see exactly what hunter biden was doing in the united states

01:08:27.060 reflected in the conduct of people who are getting charged with crimes correct correct and go back

01:08:31.940 and look it wasn't just vuk jeremik it was the subsequent two presidents of the you know general

01:08:38.420 assembly after vuk jeremik it was john ashe who was also charged and a chinese national went to jail

01:08:45.980 for corruption and stuff like that then when john ashe left there was an individual named sam

01:08:50.680 kutessa which had to do with the uganda stuff um so they did three consecutive i don't know if they

01:08:56.760 did pre or post that but it's publicly well documented three presidents of the un general

01:09:02.440 assembly were intertwined with cfc's business around the world and acting as connectors or being

01:09:08.000 on the receiving end of millions of dollars uh from cfc so the chinese communist party it is laid

01:09:14.420 bare what the true business model of cfc is correct and and by extension china really uh that the

01:09:20.840 true business model is to get these deals by not playing fair and so what you're supposed to

01:09:25.380 matt matt matt that's not you saying it that's not me saying it it's not the republican party

01:09:30.500 or chairman comber chairman jordan that is the department of justice and the prosecutors

01:09:35.620 in the sdny some would say the top the toughest the most renowned you know district in the whole

01:09:42.620 country i'd love to see them interviewed on cfc and weighing in in front of congress and so some

01:09:47.540 might say okay it's one thing if it's africa exotic place maybe you got to pay bribes there but we

01:09:54.320 actually saw this reflected in north america as well with pemex and mexico that comes out in the trial as

01:10:00.600 we see in the transcripts some of the very players involved in these bribes in africa are are

01:10:07.200 wadden up with people around biden world uh with people around cfc world they wanted to acquire

01:10:14.820 pemex which is the major mexican producer of petrol what does that tell us about cfc well that their

01:10:21.900 tentacles were everywhere remember in romania that i was heavily involved in cfc was willing or looking

01:10:27.460 at deploying three to five hundred million dollars of capital into buying down the majority ownership of

01:10:33.680 gabriel popovich in his company in romania to help potentially with what he was dealing with

01:10:39.000 in pemex there was discussions vuk jeremik i believe went to harvard with the ceo of pemex

01:10:45.660 and vuk jeremik set up a meeting where not only cfc was part of the discussion but burisma the

01:10:52.780 ukrainian energy company that obviously has become world famous that hunter uh and devin sat on the board

01:10:58.500 was sitting at the table as well so these tentacles this one belt one road and cfc had all over the 0.90

01:11:05.040 world at you know extensive uh negotiating tables yeah and i want to for a moment zero in on chad and

01:11:12.380 how it played out in this trial and uh there's there's a part of the of the testimony of gadio where

01:11:19.120 they're talking about why chad mattered and how the business uh business worked so so here's the

01:11:24.780 government's question and what did vuk jeremik say to you with respect to the defendant and here

01:11:29.580 they're talking about chad and the question is to gadio he told me about one of his friends in china

01:11:34.920 who's doing a lot of work with the united nations the united nations economic and social organizations

01:11:39.920 he also told me that it works with an oil company called cefc china energy fund company he said you should

01:11:47.460 meet him because he's a good friend of ours number one number two you know very powerful company in china

01:11:52.920 they're interested in oil in africa and he himself is interested in helping to be introduced to chad

01:11:58.980 the central african republic called chad okay and did mr jeremik say anything to you with respect to

01:12:04.900 what the defendant or his company's interests were in chad i think the main introduction had to be made

01:12:10.420 first then later we discussed the fact that cefc could also provide chad you know with other areas

01:12:17.340 of interest such as infrastructure banking system military equipment and other things like that so i

01:12:25.620 wanted to point to this in the trial because if you're watching all of this and the full sum of it

01:12:30.320 is which billionaires and what part of the world are going to reap some extra benefit it goes a lot deeper

01:12:36.680 than that because once these bribes are made and once the hooks of the chinese communist party are in

01:12:41.120 these countries it's not just the energy it's the financial system it is the military system and all

01:12:47.360 of a sudden this becomes pretty pretty broad reaching well a key point in that is remember and uh the

01:12:54.380 prosecutors outlined this in chad there was the state-owned chinese energy company that had been

01:13:01.760 penalized with a 1.2 billion dollar penalty by the government of chad that was existing when cfc all of a

01:13:10.600 sudden had an interest in chad and their energy okay that was done before cfc well it was going to be the

01:13:17.620 masthead that yes then all of a sudden um vuk makes an introduction gadio makes an introduction with the

01:13:25.160 president and then weirdly enough that 1.2 billion dollar penalty becomes a 400 million dollar penalty

01:13:33.060 and then some equity ownership uh that they structured while they were doing this i believe if you read

01:13:40.080 between the lines and you actually could interview more people cfc's agenda in going into chad was to

01:13:46.480 actually help the chinese state-owned energy company either remove that penalty or get it reduced

01:13:52.280 like i said it went from 1.2 billion to 400 million and then a slice of equity in it and then all of a

01:13:58.540 sudden cfc wasn't really that interested in doing a lot of deals they never did a deal in chad but when

01:14:06.460 they reached out they were hot and heavy they brought two million dollars and remember patrick

01:14:12.000 ho was not on the private jet that flew to chad is my understanding it was director zang with those

01:14:18.100 two million those gift boxes with two million dollars of cash the same director zang that i met face to

01:14:23.980 face with around the world that the hunter biden and the biden family shook down at the end of july

01:14:28.820 2017 and that ultimately sent that five plus million dollars to huts and west three and then funded

01:14:35.880 a wasco uh holdings hunters company so there's a lot more here than even we know and we spent a lot

01:14:42.280 of time looking at all these facts and diving into it i love how the uh the sdny is making a better case

01:14:47.680 to defund the united nations than most republicans in congress no they they are they are showing the u.n

01:14:53.280 as uh really an influence peddling operation that allows the chinese to go and engage and capture 0.77

01:14:59.380 right here in our country and in a lot of ways we ought to be utilizing that jurisdiction more

01:15:03.480 uh if it if those things are happening in new york yeah well no question people are like well

01:15:08.460 that american in the middle of nebraska listening in the firebrand podcast is going to be like

01:15:14.500 tony bobolinski was a military man he's proud of all of his military what was he even doing in

01:15:19.060 business with cfc if i read if the government had come to me and given me one paragraph of their

01:15:24.960 opening statement and that i would have ran as fast as i could out the door and i would have told

01:15:29.500 james gillier you guys are out of your mind you want nothing to do with this company and the biden's

01:15:33.940 at that time you guys are clearly out of your mind you shouldn't be anywhere near this and you

01:15:37.940 should be running okay i didn't know any of this information at that time i wish i had and the crazy

01:15:43.720 thing is the sdny started issuing fisa warrants so they were listening to recorded conversations

01:15:51.000 email exchanges real time all the way back to 2014 and 15 with patrick ho so they had to have known

01:15:59.160 or our fbi or cia the doj had to know every aspect of what i was doing with cfc what the bidens were

01:16:06.780 doing and those are questions that we have yet to see answered on why this wasn't um uh forestalled

01:16:14.300 or somebody didn't step in right why didn't i get a knock on my door one day and say hey listen we

01:16:19.760 don't go into a lot of detail we understand that you're working on this deal you should just stop

01:16:24.440 taking calls stop responding to emails and stay as far away from this as possible yeah it's uh it's

01:16:30.460 the case of sam katusa yep who gets a lot of attention from the fbi uh reviewing emails phone

01:16:37.940 calls and that that emerges in this allegation of of a big bribery sam kutessa was the president of

01:16:44.940 the united general assembly two people after the middle the guy between them was john ash who they

01:16:50.520 also were monitoring who they also charged and they sent another chinese national to jail for

01:16:57.560 corruption that was associated with patrick do you think there's a single president of the un

01:17:01.640 general assembly from a third world country who doesn't at least have some bribery outreach from

01:17:05.580 cefc i don't know it seems crazy to me it's just all seems crazy well and and this is an ongoing

01:17:11.280 concern i mean let's so so we've now kind of we've gone over the cefc business model get the connectors

01:17:17.880 get the decision the government decision makers get the bribes get the deals and you've pointed out

01:17:22.700 it doesn't always emerge in a deal but as our own government stated if you offer the bribe even if

01:17:29.960 the deal doesn't emerge on the back end you are guilty of violating these laws and and uh unfortunately

01:17:37.420 we don't view foreign corrupt practices the way we view domestic corrupt practices we're harder on what

01:17:43.500 you can do to bribe foreigners than on what foreigners can do uh to bribe people in the united states but

01:17:48.600 we've been over that business model we've been over how these various connectors um are are playing

01:17:55.460 the role of the bidens abroad but then the bidens get brought in to sort of do that in the united

01:18:00.060 states and now i think a listener would be left sort of wondering so so where do we go from here i mean

01:18:05.460 are are is cefc still on the march in their bribery and colonialism uh and are we worried even forget 0.63

01:18:14.420 about the bidens that there are other u.s policymakers and decision makers who are going

01:18:19.620 to be confronted with these corrupt opportunities well um crazy enough when patrick ho was you know 0.90

01:18:26.840 indicted and arrested and thrown in jail in november 2017 and then shortly after that we could spend a

01:18:33.100 whole nother show talking about what hunter and jim biden did to you know alter documents in hudson west

01:18:39.100 three remove chairman so they could continue imagine this patrick ho gets indicted hunter biden in a 0.55

01:18:47.120 recording talks about his belief that patrick ho is the spy chief of china and are the biden's running

01:18:52.780 as fast as they can out the door no they're running in the door hunter biden wants to represent patrick ho 0.66

01:18:59.920 so he can get a million dollars simply for finding a lawyer apparently patrick ho now potentially might 0.80

01:19:05.480 sue hunter biden for that million dollars because it was never returned i saw that in a press release

01:19:10.020 and then chairman yi is detained in mainland china are the biden's running out of the room no they're

01:19:16.440 digging in they're altering hudson west three's operating agreement so they can keep paying themselves

01:19:22.360 millions of dollars and they have no authority or approval from chairman yi the partner of cfc to do it

01:19:29.400 it is crazy but cfc collapsed was taken over by who the chinese government and i'm sure there's a next 0.99

01:19:37.080 version of cfc out there i've stayed away from it i'm happy to what's interesting but i'm sure there's

01:19:43.460 small sure versions of cfc and large versions that are using capital around the world they call it loan

01:19:49.760 to own one belt one road in seaports military installations buying up farmland all kinds of stuff

01:19:57.980 that the chinese communist party is doing right now as you and i sit here for this amazing podcast

01:20:03.600 and they're doing it at every level whether it's sending fang fang to chase after eric swalwell when

01:20:10.040 he was on the city government in the city of dublin california or whether it's offering these massive

01:20:16.080 connector consulting contracts to people in the u.n right to go and do their bidding it's everywhere

01:20:22.940 along that scale right because an important part one of the things that the um the democrats

01:20:27.220 want to argue is well joe biden announced in um october 2015 that he wasn't running for president

01:20:34.340 why would cfc care about it the chinese are 100 year thinkers and in that announcement joe implied that

01:20:42.300 stay tuned something could be coming i'm not running in this election but potentially could run in further

01:20:48.780 elections cfc approached the biden family in the beginning of october and then they you know increased

01:20:55.140 it started doing deals while joe was in the white house there's all these communications that have

01:20:59.740 been made public by chairman comer and chairman jordan and so they are long-term thinkers they

01:21:04.860 could plant seeds as small as a you know taxi driver or you know uber driver or some businessmen

01:21:11.160 or woman that are simply just gathering intel we want to know you're driving an uber in dc we just 0.78

01:21:16.640 want to know everyone you pick up and and and the chinese national might just have to cooperate

01:21:21.360 because the chinese communist party has power over them based on their family being in mainland china

01:21:26.020 and stuff like that so yes we have to wake up not make it you know um the boogeyman in the corner

01:21:32.380 let's just acknowledge what they are willing to do how they are doing it and how we as a country

01:21:38.420 lock arms and protect ourselves from that and not fall prey to the capitalistic side of it or the

01:21:45.100 different tools they're using to infiltrate us and set rules and stuff like that and hold them 0.84

01:21:49.240 accountable and it uh was part of hunter biden's defense in his deposition we'll get that that part

01:21:54.700 on the screen where he says we my dad and i you know we were out of power dad was out of office

01:21:59.520 so what if we wanted to do a business with china and if if you're just looking at cefc and the bidens

01:22:05.320 you might think well maybe that looks more like legitimate business but then if you look at the

01:22:10.160 fact that they went and and hired gadio after he had just left all of them look all of them what

01:22:18.040 they do is they wait till you're just out they get your hooks in you but you see with a number of

01:22:21.880 these other people there is a revolving door in government they're willing to buy people off on

01:22:26.940 their way out with the prospect and the hope that when those people get back in they'll be compromised

01:22:32.260 yep looks like a duck walks like a duck quacks like a duck i'm willing to bet it's a duck

01:22:37.960 you have to be disappointed that when you um voluntarily provided all this information that

01:22:44.720 you've given congress to the fbi that it didn't seem to be treated with the same seriousness

01:22:50.440 of the patrick ho prosecution that we've been going through do you think that's just because it was 0.96

01:22:57.740 it was hunter biden playing the role of the bribe solicitor and the bribe facilitator as opposed to

01:23:04.300 some random chinese national or some some lower notoriety person there as i've said there is much more

01:23:12.500 here than the american people even you as a congressman are aware of charles mcgonigal the

01:23:18.720 head of counter intelligence with a specialty in russia was based in new york city from 2016

01:23:26.140 through 2018 in his indictment they name a person b that person b is dorian duka an albanian national

01:23:35.600 that also had close ties to james gillier and hunter biden so much so there's an email off the

01:23:43.860 infamous laptop where hunter biden says his first name was dorian that if tony doesn't want to pay

01:23:49.780 i never met dorian i never interacted with dorian but james gillier is talking in this email exchange

01:23:54.660 that i'm not on how valuable dorian duka was in their initial introductions with cfc

01:24:01.480 hunter who wasn't willing to give anybody a penny was saying if tony isn't okay with it i'll pay dorian

01:24:08.460 duka out of my own salary think about the power of that statement that dorian duka is person b

01:24:14.860 in one of charles mcgonigal's two indictments and dorian duka was being paid by cfc so are the american

01:24:23.000 people supposed to believe that the head of counterintelligence in the summer of 2017 wasn't

01:24:30.200 fully aware of everything the biden family was doing everything that cfc was doing and oh

01:24:35.280 for a reminder they were in the process of buying a nine billion dollar 14 stake in rosnev

01:24:41.160 the russian-owned putin-controlled u.s sanctioned energy company all that was going on in the summer

01:24:47.560 of 2017 by the way shortly after joe biden walked into a private dining room at the four seasons

01:24:54.340 in washington dc to shake chairman yi's hand director zhang's hand in an entourage for 15 to 20

01:25:02.200 minutes according to rob walker's sworn testimony that hunter couldn't remember when he was under oath

01:25:08.520 all of that going on in 2017 cfc was an extension of the chinese communist party deploying billions and

01:25:16.420 tens of billions of dollars around the world to represent the capitalistic arm of getting their

01:25:21.700 meat hooks in different countries and we need to wake up in this country to protect ourselves and

01:25:27.600 protect the american people and i appreciate everything you're doing focused on that and

01:25:31.840 getting your peers and other people to focus on that well and what i really have enjoyed about this

01:25:37.200 discussion is that the focus isn't exclusively on one administration one family one president this is

01:25:43.920 really about a global scheme to hurt america to hurt our interest driven by the chinese and and really 0.72

01:25:50.420 you've played a key part in giving us visibility into that scheme through the most high profile

01:25:56.840 alleged bribes that you could possibly imagine to the people who are now behind the resolute desk

01:26:02.380 in the oval office final question uh tony with all you've exposed and talked about do you fear

01:26:09.660 retaliation is that something that you went into this knowing would be potentially a part of your life

01:26:15.680 going forward um in 2020 as i told you i was a very private no social media low key um i could i could

01:26:25.840 hear my two grandfathers and my father saying you can't sit on the sideline you know too much you have

01:26:32.060 to come forward and tell the american people the truth i didn't know how to do it i didn't know the

01:26:36.840 right people to talk to this was all out of water you know out of element for me i was willing to do it

01:26:42.260 then we live in the greatest country in the world based on truth beta based on the freedom that you

01:26:47.460 know our people have fought and died for before us i was happy to do it i didn't think much about

01:26:52.360 retaliation i i expected it i've been warned of it um as as recently as you know in our congressional

01:26:59.360 hearing where lev parnas is threatening me sitting next to me warning they're coming for you

01:27:04.320 i think it's laughable that uh the democrats are asking lev parnas to weigh in on my credibility

01:27:11.580 a convicted felon that served jail time i have an impeccable record now he warned me earlier in

01:27:18.180 this hearing that they're coming for me i look i didn't worry i said just keep talking you'll be

01:27:21.900 there so i look forward to that mr parnas keep lying you'll be there soon well and and is that a

01:27:26.660 threat mr parnas no it's just the truth no did you say they were coming for me no i said if you

01:27:31.240 keep lying you will end up in prison i'm not lying you're the one who was lying nothing you're the

01:27:35.420 one who went to prison what am i lying for well let him come the truth will win out and our country

01:27:40.680 is worth fighting for and i'm more than happy to do it a truth teller an international businessman

01:27:45.600 and a patriot tony bobulinski thanks for being here thank you very much

01:28:01.240 you
