00:00:00.000 In battle, Congressman Matt Gaetz.
00:00:03.680 Matt Gaetz was one of the very few members in the entire Congress
00:00:06.540 who bothered to stand up against permanent Washington on behalf of his constituents.
00:00:10.940 Matt Gaetz right now, he's a problem in the Democratic Party.
00:00:13.760 He could cause a lot of hiccups in passing the laws.
00:00:16.780 So we're going to keep running those stories to get hurt again.
00:00:20.180 If you stand for the flag and kneel in prayer,
00:00:23.360 if you want to build America up and not burn her to the ground,
00:00:26.800 then welcome, my fellow patriots. You are in the right place.
00:00:31.080 This is the movement for you.
00:00:33.160 You ever watch this guy on television?
00:00:35.340 Like a machine, Matt Gaetz.
00:00:37.920 I'm a canceled man in some corners of the Internet.
00:00:41.080 Many days I'm a marked man in Congress, a wanted man by the deep state.
00:00:45.900 They aren't really coming for me. They're coming for you.
00:00:49.680 I'm just in the way.
00:00:50.980 The gun debate is once again back in the headlines.
00:00:59.120 It will be the focus of our show entirely today.
00:01:02.580 And of course, the left has wasted no time politicizing it.
00:01:06.300 I'm Congressman Matt Gaetz.
00:01:07.400 We are broadcasting live from 1721 of the Longworth House Office building here
00:01:12.940 on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
00:01:15.220 And on guns, bad take after bad take is all the left has to offer.
00:01:21.360 Their solutions are ineffective, impractical, and largely unconstitutional.
00:01:26.560 Huge debate yesterday in the House Judiciary Committee
00:01:30.180 on a variety of gun control measures
00:01:32.900 that they are going to bring to the House floor next week.
00:01:36.760 And they're going to do everything they can
00:01:38.480 to pressure Republican senators to join them
00:01:41.140 to get a gun control bill to Joe Biden's desk.
00:01:44.080 We fought against all of it.
00:01:45.800 We exposed the arguments.
00:01:47.760 I'm going to give you the highlights from that hearing
00:01:49.540 and also what you need to be most concerned about.
00:01:52.680 And we all care about the problem of protecting children.
00:01:55.280 And we want to find solutions that do work
00:01:57.540 without infringing upon Second Amendment rights.
00:02:00.360 That is the key to this exercise.
00:02:02.820 Now is not the time to throw away
00:02:05.380 what I consider the most important insurance of our freedom.
00:02:10.340 The individual right to keep and bear arms.
00:02:13.420 We can approach this rare problem carefully, rationally.
00:02:19.100 But that is not what we saw from House Democrats.
00:02:21.480 And I think nothing brings that into greater focus
00:02:23.920 than this tweet from Manu Raju.
00:02:26.060 He is covering the debate in the House Armed Services Committee.
00:02:29.700 And he quotes David Cicilline saying,
00:02:32.820 quote,
00:02:33.340 Spare me the bullshit about constitutional rights.
00:02:36.420 David Cicilline says to Matt Gaetz during hour nine
00:02:40.440 of House Judiciary Committee meeting on guns package.
00:02:44.300 Spare me the bullshit about constitutional rights.
00:02:47.760 Can you believe that a member of the Judiciary Committee
00:02:50.400 would be able to have such disdain for those rights?
00:02:54.420 We got a lot of folks right now joining us live
00:02:56.960 on Rumble, on Facebook, on Getter.
00:03:00.460 Leave us your comments.
00:03:01.700 We'll be able to get to them.
00:03:03.160 Olof Hart says on Getter,
00:03:05.260 wrong headline for the show,
00:03:06.960 quote,
00:03:07.360 You won't take my guns.
00:03:09.400 F.J.B.
00:03:10.880 So until saner heads prevail,
00:03:14.180 here's what you need to know.
00:03:16.460 First, people continue to draw attention
00:03:19.400 to the Florida laws passed after the Parkland shooting.
00:03:23.500 Here is Senator Chris Murphy on this week on ABC News.
00:03:29.700 Take a listen.
00:03:32.680 The Florida law is a good law,
00:03:35.040 and it's a signal of what's possible, right?
00:03:37.080 It married together changes to Florida's gun laws
00:03:40.600 with some significant investments in mental health
00:03:43.020 and school security.
00:03:44.980 And I had a long conversation with Senator Scott last week
00:03:47.820 and had him tell me the story
00:03:50.240 of how they were able to pass that legislation
00:03:52.700 and get Republicans to support it.
00:03:54.380 It also proved that Republicans could take on the gun lobby
00:03:57.780 because the NRA opposed that measure
00:04:00.600 and still get reelected,
00:04:02.240 which has been the case I've been making to Republicans
00:04:04.500 for a decade.
00:04:06.260 So that kind of legislation certainly is a model.
00:04:10.440 Significant.
00:04:11.440 Not everything that anti-gun violence advocates would want.
00:04:15.940 And while I don't think we will mirror the Florida law,
00:04:19.560 it certainly is the kind of thing
00:04:21.220 that would make a big difference
00:04:22.880 and would make a lot of families and kids in this country
00:04:25.860 feel more secure and more safe
00:04:28.440 if it passed at a national level.
00:04:32.220 We have to be very careful about this.
00:04:34.760 I'm from Florida and I would not sign a federal version
00:04:39.480 of the Florida laws.
00:04:41.240 The Florida laws have problems.
00:04:42.900 I would not have voted for the Florida law in its entirety
00:04:45.760 if I were in the Florida legislature at the time it was considered.
00:04:48.780 For example, raising the age to purchase a rifle from 18 to 21
00:04:54.160 is unconstitutional and ineffective.
00:04:57.700 If you can sign up for the selective service,
00:05:01.160 if you can sign a draft card,
00:05:03.300 you should be able to buy a rifle.
00:05:06.120 If you could potentially be drawn into a conflict
00:05:10.060 for the preservation of your country or our nation's interests,
00:05:13.940 you should be able to fully exercise the freedoms
00:05:17.380 that you would be fighting for at home.
00:05:20.000 Now, yesterday on the House Judiciary Committee,
00:05:22.280 my colleague Thomas Massey and Jerry Nadler
00:05:26.040 had this very debate about raising the age.
00:05:29.620 Take a listen.
00:05:32.000 We recognize different ages for different purposes.
00:05:35.260 We recognize 18 for the draft.
00:05:37.420 We recognize 16 for driving in some states.
00:05:41.560 We recognize 21 for drinking.
00:05:44.660 So we recognize different ages for different purposes.
00:05:49.220 That's all I want to say.
00:05:50.620 Thank you, Mr. Chair.
00:05:51.160 Could I have a second to engage that?
00:05:52.900 Certainly.
00:05:53.420 I'll yield to the gentleman from Kentucky.
00:05:55.020 Would the chairman join me in co-sponsoring a bill
00:05:57.940 to raise the draft age to 21?
00:06:00.060 No.
00:06:00.760 But the chairman feels that their brains
00:06:02.760 aren't fully formed at 18, 19, and 20?
00:06:07.600 The research does indicate that in certain respects,
00:06:11.520 but the selective service needs...
00:06:14.040 I mean, if the country needs people, it needs people.
00:06:16.640 It needs people whose brains aren't fully formed?
00:06:18.700 In certain respects, yes.
00:06:20.040 I yield back.
00:06:24.040 So there you have Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler saying,
00:06:27.520 well, we have to bring people whose brains
00:06:30.060 aren't fully formed into the military,
00:06:31.560 so, you know, that just is what it is.
00:06:34.760 I think Thomas Massey's right.
00:06:36.180 When you're a citizen of this country,
00:06:37.680 you get to avail yourselves to all of those
00:06:40.780 natural rights of citizenship.
00:06:42.040 And the Second Amendment is a natural right.
00:06:44.620 Even the Ninth Circuit,
00:06:46.300 the liberal Ninth Circuit,
00:06:48.220 agrees with that.
00:06:50.040 These increases artificially in age
00:06:52.540 also won't stop school shootings.
00:06:55.560 Postponing a violent mental episode
00:06:57.740 is not going to help.
00:06:59.420 Furthermore, if you're hell-bent on buying a gun
00:07:01.520 to commit an atrocity,
00:07:02.700 you can always buy one illegally,
00:07:04.820 you know, like the criminals do.
00:07:06.080 In the violent blue cities
00:07:08.600 that have the most gun control.
00:07:10.760 Actually, on this salient point,
00:07:13.320 the clearest take came from Shaquille O'Neal
00:07:16.340 during some analysis of the Eastern Conference NBA Finals
00:07:19.880 on TNT.
00:07:22.140 Take a listen to Shaq.
00:07:23.120 You know, once you do a background check,
00:07:27.300 let's not forget about the underground market.
00:07:29.560 Because again, places where,
00:07:30.640 and then even Charles,
00:07:31.540 places where me and Kenny are from,
00:07:33.440 anybody can get a weapon.
00:07:34.680 Am I right about that, Kenny?
00:07:35.680 Anybody can get a weapon anytime.
00:07:37.580 And I'm not talking to Ernie,
00:07:38.600 go in the store, show your ID.
00:07:40.680 You know, in the hood,
00:07:41.580 anybody can get a weapon.
00:07:42.300 So I want to know what you think
00:07:46.360 about raising the age to 21
00:07:48.180 about these background checks
00:07:50.460 that, you know,
00:07:51.320 I think would be largely ineffective.
00:07:53.380 Leave your comments on Twitter, Facebook.
00:07:56.140 We've got Tammy saying,
00:07:57.600 we need the USA to unify.
00:08:01.140 Unify, all right.
00:08:02.660 And then Dina says,
00:08:05.100 no red flag laws.
00:08:06.780 And, all right,
00:08:08.280 well, thank you all so much for that feedback.
00:08:10.280 I also want to chat about red flag laws.
00:08:12.560 Red flag laws are absolutely
00:08:14.280 the wrong move as well.
00:08:16.020 I emphatically oppose red flag laws.
00:08:18.660 And any Republican who supports them
00:08:21.200 is a traitor to their constituents.
00:08:23.620 I made that point yesterday
00:08:25.000 in committee debate.
00:08:26.660 Take a listen.
00:08:29.460 Let the message from this committee hearing
00:08:32.420 to Republican senators
00:08:33.980 be astonishingly clear.
00:08:37.680 If you back red flag laws
00:08:40.300 at some reflexive response
00:08:42.720 to some emotion that you have,
00:08:45.140 you betray your voters.
00:08:48.560 You are a traitor
00:08:49.980 to the Constitution,
00:08:51.860 the Second Amendment,
00:08:53.180 the Fifth Amendment.
00:08:54.360 You do nothing
00:08:55.600 to make mass shootings less likely.
00:08:58.580 And you put a target
00:09:00.000 on the back of your constituents
00:09:02.500 to be subject
00:09:05.000 to bizarre proceedings
00:09:07.860 that you wouldn't see
00:09:08.820 in any other type of circumstance
00:09:10.320 that has a profound impact
00:09:12.940 on your rights.
00:09:13.960 And these will be abused.
00:09:15.680 They are being abused.
00:09:17.200 I think there's some
00:09:18.060 that would probably
00:09:18.600 red flag some of your colleagues
00:09:20.240 in the Senate.
00:09:21.020 How long?
00:09:21.940 Until the conversations
00:09:23.360 about kicking Senator Hawley
00:09:24.820 off of aircraft
00:09:26.140 turn into conversations
00:09:27.360 about taking his guns away.
00:09:28.840 You see,
00:09:30.540 this isn't just about guns.
00:09:33.020 It's about power.
00:09:34.800 And what the Democrats want
00:09:36.300 is to ensure
00:09:37.460 that the government
00:09:38.160 has the power
00:09:39.100 to take your guns away
00:09:41.180 without giving you due process.
00:09:44.000 And shame on any Republican
00:09:45.840 in the Senate
00:09:46.440 that would pave the way
00:09:47.880 to that type of deprivation
00:09:49.400 of our liberty
00:09:49.980 and our constitutional rights.
00:09:51.540 I yield back to the gentleman
00:09:52.260 from Arizona.
00:09:55.140 We're back live.
00:09:56.460 Mike on Facebook says,
00:09:57.680 we don't have a gun problem.
00:09:59.080 We have an idiot problem.
00:10:00.800 And on Rumble,
00:10:01.880 Rio says,
00:10:02.720 enforce the laws
00:10:03.600 we already have.
00:10:05.580 See, as congressmen,
00:10:06.380 it's our duty
00:10:07.380 to see that the Constitution
00:10:09.120 is respected
00:10:10.780 by the government
00:10:12.800 at every single level.
00:10:14.640 And there should not be
00:10:16.000 enforcement anywhere
00:10:17.280 of something
00:10:18.160 that is blatantly
00:10:19.060 unconstitutional.
00:10:21.140 House Judiciary Chairman
00:10:22.000 Jerry Nadler
00:10:22.820 gets totally flummoxed
00:10:24.580 on the Second Amendment
00:10:26.260 and the Fifth Amendment
00:10:27.880 and the Tenth Amendment
00:10:29.320 in this exchange
00:10:30.220 with me all at once.
00:10:31.920 It's hilarious.
00:10:32.880 Take a listen.
00:10:35.320 This amendment
00:10:36.260 is not right
00:10:37.380 because it says
00:10:39.660 that this Congress
00:10:40.360 disfavors
00:10:41.200 the enactment
00:10:42.660 of red flag laws.
00:10:45.160 And yet,
00:10:45.680 although this committee
00:10:47.460 has reported out
00:10:48.900 a red flag bill
00:10:50.860 to the floor,
00:10:52.160 the Congress
00:10:52.520 has not yet voted,
00:10:53.500 the House
00:10:54.280 has not yet voted on it
00:10:55.360 and it's not ripe,
00:10:56.820 the House
00:10:57.120 will probably vote
00:10:58.200 on it next week
00:10:58.900 at which point
00:10:59.420 this amendment
00:10:59.880 would be ripe.
00:11:01.260 So I oppose this amendment
00:11:02.220 that's not ripe
00:11:03.000 at this time.
00:11:03.560 Yes, I will yield.
00:11:04.620 Mr. Chairman,
00:11:05.100 I believe in the amendment
00:11:07.500 it says
00:11:08.480 in the states
00:11:09.380 that the sense
00:11:11.180 of Congress
00:11:11.680 is that the Congress
00:11:12.380 would disfavor
00:11:13.120 the enactment of laws
00:11:14.080 known as red flag laws
00:11:15.700 in the states
00:11:16.540 where they do
00:11:17.300 currently exist.
00:11:18.080 Does that alter
00:11:18.900 the Chairman's view
00:11:19.580 of ripeness?
00:11:21.680 You'll back
00:11:22.360 to the Chairman.
00:11:23.220 Well, I would oppose that.
00:11:24.500 That's up to the states.
00:11:26.120 It's not up to Congress
00:11:26.880 to tell the states
00:11:27.600 what to do in state law.
00:11:28.880 That's even worse.
00:11:29.780 Well, Mr. Chairman,
00:11:30.400 I believe the Chairman
00:11:31.060 has a different view
00:11:31.760 of that when it comes
00:11:32.460 to voting rights
00:11:33.420 and a number
00:11:33.940 of other matters.
00:11:34.740 So I think
00:11:34.980 when it comes
00:11:35.360 to vindicating
00:11:36.020 constitutional rights,
00:11:37.120 we might have to say
00:11:37.500 I'm claiming my time.
00:11:38.760 Protection of constitutional rights
00:11:40.120 is a federal concern.
00:11:41.420 The Second Amendment
00:11:42.020 is a constitutional right.
00:11:43.000 So is due process.
00:11:44.340 Yep.
00:11:45.340 They are.
00:11:49.160 That is what victory
00:11:50.740 looks like
00:11:51.300 in an exchange.
00:11:52.360 So he's fine
00:11:54.300 with massive federal intervention
00:11:56.020 to rewrite the voting laws
00:11:57.320 of the states
00:11:57.840 but when it comes
00:11:58.400 to vindicating
00:11:59.220 natural constitutional rights,
00:12:01.860 not so much.
00:12:03.140 Here's my perspective.
00:12:04.580 Red flag laws
00:12:05.540 are far too easy
00:12:07.320 for the government
00:12:08.280 to use
00:12:08.920 to take guns away
00:12:10.720 from law-abiding citizens.
00:12:12.600 And not just the government.
00:12:14.000 Even private entities
00:12:15.640 that are seeking
00:12:17.040 some sort of grievance,
00:12:19.080 you know,
00:12:19.580 scenario.
00:12:20.300 Like a crazy ex.
00:12:22.080 They file a report
00:12:23.160 and then somehow
00:12:24.380 get in concert
00:12:25.360 with the government
00:12:25.960 to seize your guns.
00:12:27.040 Going through a bad divorce.
00:12:28.720 This will surely be the part
00:12:29.780 of dissolution
00:12:30.580 of marriage litigation.
00:12:32.180 It's already happening
00:12:33.080 in Florida
00:12:33.640 where our red flag law
00:12:35.320 has been used
00:12:35.920 like nearly 6,000 times.
00:12:38.320 This is my introduction
00:12:39.600 of the legislation
00:12:41.160 to stop red flag laws
00:12:43.740 not only federally
00:12:45.300 but in the states as well.
00:12:46.700 Take a listen.
00:12:47.100 I believe one of the greatest threats
00:12:51.200 to the Second Amendment
00:12:52.300 to gun owners
00:12:53.100 to public safety right now
00:12:54.580 the negotiations going on
00:12:57.000 in the United States Senate
00:12:58.260 to potentially adopt
00:13:00.180 red flag laws.
00:13:01.880 And I want members
00:13:02.800 of the Judiciary Committee
00:13:03.760 to be clearly on the record
00:13:05.700 and to be clearly understood
00:13:07.280 as to whether or not
00:13:08.460 we believe
00:13:09.100 it is a proper function
00:13:10.420 of the United States government
00:13:12.200 to try to coerce
00:13:13.700 or entice
00:13:14.740 or cajole states
00:13:16.480 to adopt red flag laws.
00:13:18.400 I am unequivocally
00:13:19.820 against red flag laws.
00:13:22.200 They deprive Americans
00:13:23.420 of their Second Amendment rights.
00:13:24.980 They deprive Americans
00:13:26.100 of their Fifth Amendment right
00:13:27.500 to due process.
00:13:29.540 Many states have laws
00:13:31.100 beyond their red flag laws
00:13:33.140 where if someone
00:13:33.880 is not in a position
00:13:36.740 to appropriately own a firearm
00:13:38.940 that can be dealt with.
00:13:40.300 But as there is this
00:13:41.640 a seemingly reflexive desire
00:13:44.040 to adopt red flag laws
00:13:45.440 including in my own
00:13:46.820 beloved Florida
00:13:47.540 I would suggest that
00:13:49.020 this committee
00:13:49.920 take a position against them.
00:13:51.720 In the Sunshine State
00:13:53.040 nearly 6,000 people
00:13:55.400 have been subject to orders
00:13:57.060 as a result of red flag laws.
00:13:58.880 I do not view that
00:14:00.100 as a success.
00:14:01.320 I view that as something
00:14:02.400 that might
00:14:03.220 would cause grave
00:14:04.720 grave concern.
00:14:06.940 Increasingly
00:14:07.540 we see these red flag laws
00:14:09.480 try to be used
00:14:10.340 in contentious divorces
00:14:12.640 where you've got
00:14:13.520 one person
00:14:14.220 trying to deprive
00:14:15.900 another person
00:14:16.560 of their safety
00:14:17.540 and security
00:14:18.180 and their liberty
00:14:19.120 and their Second Amendment rights
00:14:20.360 in order to
00:14:21.800 gain leverage
00:14:23.340 in a marital dispute.
00:14:24.740 And I find that
00:14:25.480 particularly challenging.
00:14:26.860 Our Second Amendment rights
00:14:27.760 shouldn't be
00:14:28.300 subjected to that type
00:14:29.920 of deprivation
00:14:31.520 of review
00:14:32.200 by a court
00:14:32.840 in an adversarial proceeding.
00:14:35.160 You know,
00:14:35.400 an adversarial proceeding
00:14:36.680 that I think
00:14:37.800 justice would require.
00:14:38.780 And I would yield
00:14:39.660 to the gentleman
00:14:40.060 for Kentucky.
00:14:43.160 We're back live
00:14:44.500 here in the House
00:14:45.460 Office Building.
00:14:46.560 Thanks so much
00:14:47.140 for tuning in.
00:14:47.680 Make sure you are subscribed
00:14:48.880 with notifications turned on.
00:14:51.100 Red flag laws,
00:14:52.180 they do not afford
00:14:53.400 anyone due process.
00:14:55.360 And you can bet
00:14:56.060 that they're going
00:14:56.560 to be used
00:14:57.300 against political opponents
00:14:59.100 so that people
00:15:00.040 can centralize power.
00:15:01.980 Last week,
00:15:02.540 Democrats were
00:15:03.340 virtually calling
00:15:04.440 all Republicans
00:15:05.380 terrorists.
00:15:06.540 So how long
00:15:07.880 until their
00:15:08.540 anti-gun tools
00:15:10.100 are turned
00:15:11.260 against those
00:15:12.160 who speak ill
00:15:13.160 of their masking policies,
00:15:15.840 critical race theory,
00:15:17.440 or other
00:15:18.180 ideological mandates?
00:15:20.700 So,
00:15:21.200 background checks.
00:15:22.080 This is another issue
00:15:23.300 constantly brought up
00:15:24.520 by the anti-gun Democrats.
00:15:25.960 You already heard
00:15:26.440 Shaq's take on that earlier.
00:15:28.640 It's important
00:15:29.060 to also note
00:15:29.580 we already have
00:15:30.820 required background checks
00:15:32.400 when purchasing firearms
00:15:33.740 from any licensed dealer.
00:15:35.220 And the truth is,
00:15:36.560 most of these shooters
00:15:37.960 from those horrendous
00:15:40.340 mass school shootings
00:15:41.120 that we all want
00:15:41.840 to make less frequent,
00:15:43.660 a lot of them
00:15:44.460 would pass
00:15:44.880 background checks anyway.
00:15:46.680 There's no history
00:15:47.820 of mental illness
00:15:49.200 or domestic violence
00:15:50.480 or felonies
00:15:51.340 in a lot of their pasts
00:15:53.660 in terms of something
00:15:54.720 that would be documentable
00:15:56.040 and sufficient
00:15:57.420 to be able to trigger
00:15:58.500 one of these
00:15:59.420 background checks.
00:16:00.840 If we go any further,
00:16:02.680 we're not going to stop
00:16:03.480 mass shooters.
00:16:04.240 We're just going to be
00:16:04.820 infringing on the liberties
00:16:06.080 of law-abiding citizens.
00:16:08.220 So now,
00:16:08.420 there are a few things
00:16:08.940 we did get right
00:16:10.100 with the law in Florida.
00:16:12.420 A program
00:16:13.040 like the Sentinel program,
00:16:15.300 very important,
00:16:16.540 where retired military personnel
00:16:18.520 can go to extra training
00:16:20.460 to become certified
00:16:21.680 as a force multiplier
00:16:23.620 for school police,
00:16:25.280 local sheriffs.
00:16:26.580 It would go a long way
00:16:27.520 to protecting our schools.
00:16:28.780 And there's no reason
00:16:29.720 why an NARA certified teacher
00:16:32.100 with a valid carry permit
00:16:33.660 shouldn't be allowed
00:16:34.560 to carry on school property.
00:16:37.000 About two-thirds
00:16:38.080 of Florida's counties
00:16:39.560 have opted into
00:16:41.280 the Sentinel program.
00:16:43.160 And it's not just
00:16:43.820 the red counties.
00:16:44.940 It includes
00:16:45.680 Deep Blue Broward County
00:16:47.740 because they know
00:16:48.820 the harm of some
00:16:50.360 of these gun-free zones
00:16:51.400 on school grounds.
00:16:53.580 Gun-free zones
00:16:54.340 don't work.
00:16:55.840 As the Buffalo shooter
00:16:56.840 and others noted
00:16:57.740 certain places
00:16:58.840 are soft targets
00:17:00.340 due to the lack
00:17:01.540 of firearms.
00:17:03.180 We don't want to create
00:17:03.860 soft targets
00:17:04.700 where our most vulnerable
00:17:05.800 Americans go about
00:17:07.100 their daily lives.
00:17:08.860 Recently,
00:17:09.700 this clueless state senator
00:17:11.520 from Uvalde
00:17:12.680 named Roland Gutierrez
00:17:14.020 tried to blame
00:17:15.380 open carry
00:17:16.880 of all things
00:17:18.140 for the recent school tragedy.
00:17:20.560 Take a listen.
00:17:21.120 At the end of the day,
00:17:25.060 what has happened
00:17:26.000 over these years
00:17:26.940 has been
00:17:27.880 simply preposterous.
00:17:30.000 Culminating last session
00:17:31.320 with their open carry bill.
00:17:33.680 Not one
00:17:34.360 law enforcement agency,
00:17:36.440 everybody in Texas,
00:17:37.660 every law enforcement agency
00:17:38.780 said,
00:17:39.160 don't do this.
00:17:41.020 I gave a closing argument
00:17:42.340 on that bill.
00:17:43.660 I said,
00:17:44.080 because of this bill,
00:17:46.140 kids are going to die.
00:17:48.700 I never thought
00:17:49.820 that that bit of hyperbole
00:17:51.100 was going to happen
00:17:53.000 in my community.
00:17:54.660 I never thought.
00:17:59.200 Open carry
00:18:00.160 caused the school shooting
00:18:01.400 in Uvalde?
00:18:02.400 Nothing could be further
00:18:03.240 from the truth.
00:18:04.740 The shooter
00:18:05.280 wasn't open carrying.
00:18:06.760 He was in an active assault.
00:18:09.140 But one of the
00:18:10.240 off-duty border patrol agents
00:18:12.200 who helped
00:18:13.300 had a firearm
00:18:14.580 close and available
00:18:15.800 because Texas
00:18:17.160 is more permissive
00:18:18.700 with gun laws
00:18:19.420 than a place like New York.
00:18:21.100 He grabbed
00:18:22.080 his barber's shotgun
00:18:23.440 while he was getting
00:18:24.140 a haircut
00:18:24.660 and bravely charged
00:18:26.840 into the school
00:18:27.580 clearing rooms
00:18:28.500 and securing children.
00:18:30.780 In fact,
00:18:31.360 good guys
00:18:32.120 carrying
00:18:33.180 can save the day.
00:18:35.800 It happens
00:18:36.560 all the time.
00:18:37.560 Take a look
00:18:37.900 at my colleague
00:18:38.420 Thomas Massey
00:18:39.400 dropping the facts
00:18:40.760 on the good guys
00:18:41.940 with guns.
00:18:42.740 There are dozens
00:18:46.860 of instances.
00:18:47.960 Even though the media
00:18:48.940 doesn't want to report
00:18:50.160 them,
00:18:50.760 sometimes they get
00:18:51.540 reported.
00:18:52.160 Just this week,
00:18:53.860 last week,
00:18:54.480 May 25,
00:18:55.240 2022,
00:18:56.780 Charleston,
00:18:57.480 West Virginia.
00:18:58.300 Here a man
00:18:58.800 with an extensive
00:18:59.480 criminal history
00:19:00.300 started firing
00:19:01.000 an AR-15 style
00:19:02.080 firearm into a crowd.
00:19:03.840 Fortunately,
00:19:04.420 a woman who was
00:19:05.260 legally carrying a gun
00:19:06.580 was there
00:19:07.360 to stop the attack.
00:19:08.620 She shot the attacker.
00:19:09.760 It ended before
00:19:11.040 anybody got hurt.
00:19:12.540 South Fulton,
00:19:13.120 Georgia,
00:19:14.020 May 3,
00:19:14.740 2022,
00:19:15.940 a teenager started
00:19:16.900 firing his gun
00:19:17.780 at multiple people.
00:19:18.780 There was a large
00:19:19.380 number of people
00:19:20.060 present at the park
00:19:21.300 because of an
00:19:21.900 anti-violence riot.
00:19:24.060 South Fulton,
00:19:25.040 Georgia,
00:19:25.320 this comes from
00:19:25.820 a news report.
00:19:26.560 Meadows said
00:19:27.140 the men involved
00:19:28.800 in the shootout
00:19:29.560 with Hambrick
00:19:30.320 have been cooperative
00:19:31.280 and will likely
00:19:32.000 not be charged
00:19:32.720 since the teenager
00:19:33.640 fired the first shot.
00:19:35.040 After having reviewed
00:19:36.180 most of the witnesses'
00:19:37.140 statements,
00:19:37.800 it appears that
00:19:38.680 the descendant,
00:19:40.380 Mr. Hambrick,
00:19:41.160 discharged his weapon
00:19:42.040 first and as a result
00:19:43.160 of that,
00:19:43.600 there was an exchange
00:19:44.300 of gunfire
00:19:44.840 between him
00:19:45.580 and two individuals,
00:19:46.880 good guys with the gun.
00:19:48.160 Portland, Oregon,
00:19:49.000 February 19,
00:19:49.980 2022.
00:19:51.140 Homeowner allegedly
00:19:52.280 confronted participants
00:19:53.840 at a racial justice
00:19:55.180 demonstration Saturday night
00:19:56.740 before pulling out
00:19:57.960 a handgun
00:19:58.600 and shooting multiple
00:19:59.700 people in the crowd,
00:20:01.180 leaving one woman dead
00:20:02.260 and several others injured.
00:20:03.500 The shooting ended
00:20:04.480 when a person
00:20:05.720 with the group
00:20:07.400 of demonstrators
00:20:08.300 who is licensed
00:20:09.140 to conceal carry
00:20:10.200 a firearm,
00:20:10.980 fired back,
00:20:12.120 striking the homeowner
00:20:13.160 in the hip.
00:20:14.120 Again,
00:20:14.500 a good guy
00:20:15.020 with a gun
00:20:15.560 stops the shooting.
00:20:17.320 Lancaster, Pennsylvania,
00:20:18.660 October 17, 2021.
00:20:20.700 On Sunday,
00:20:21.460 October 17,
00:20:22.520 four people were injured
00:20:23.580 after a fight
00:20:24.520 between two teenagers
00:20:25.500 at Lancaster Park.
00:20:26.920 City Center Mall
00:20:27.740 escalated into a shooting
00:20:28.980 this past weekend.
00:20:30.020 A 16-year-old
00:20:31.000 who was illegally
00:20:31.800 carrying a gun
00:20:32.640 started the shooting,
00:20:33.760 but it could have
00:20:34.900 been much worse
00:20:35.680 were it not
00:20:36.220 for concealed
00:20:36.880 handgun permit
00:20:38.180 holder.
00:20:40.060 A bystander
00:20:40.880 armed with a gun
00:20:41.640 intervened
00:20:42.360 in the shooting,
00:20:44.480 shooting one
00:20:45.000 of the participants.
00:20:46.020 The unidentified
00:20:46.680 bystander
00:20:47.740 who legally
00:20:48.260 possessed the firearm
00:20:49.300 had heard gunshots
00:20:50.540 related to the fight
00:20:51.440 between two males
00:20:52.200 that knew each other,
00:20:53.100 police said.
00:20:53.960 The bystander
00:20:54.680 remained on the scene
00:20:55.580 until security
00:20:56.340 and police arrived.
00:20:58.020 Syracuse, New York,
00:20:59.060 August 31, 2021.
00:21:01.600 The district attorney
00:21:02.580 credited a property manager
00:21:04.000 with saving the lives
00:21:04.960 of several individuals
00:21:05.980 after he pulled out
00:21:07.120 a legally possessed
00:21:08.760 nine-millimeter handgun,
00:21:10.140 the very gun
00:21:10.780 that Joe Biden
00:21:11.600 wants to ban,
00:21:12.700 and fatally wounded
00:21:13.660 a man who opened fire
00:21:14.860 on a crowd
00:21:15.620 outside a building.
00:21:17.200 San Antonio, Texas,
00:21:18.900 August 11, 2021.
00:21:20.880 A woman who crashed
00:21:21.740 into a parked car
00:21:23.060 in San Antonio's
00:21:24.140 West Side neighborhood
00:21:24.880 climbed out of her vehicle
00:21:25.980 and began shooting
00:21:26.740 indiscriminately
00:21:27.520 at people who came
00:21:28.740 out of their homes
00:21:29.360 and rushed to aid her.
00:21:31.220 The armed resident
00:21:31.900 fired back
00:21:32.640 and shot the driver
00:21:33.520 to death,
00:21:34.080 ending the violent threat
00:21:35.180 to the neighborhood.
00:21:36.880 And that was a good guy
00:21:37.800 with a gun,
00:21:38.500 or good gal
00:21:39.120 with a gun sometimes.
00:21:40.220 Fort Myers, Florida,
00:21:41.180 July 22, 2021.
00:21:43.200 A man who was
00:21:43.840 a convicted felon
00:21:45.060 and illegally possessing
00:21:46.460 a gun fired multiple
00:21:47.520 shots into a crowd
00:21:48.520 before a bystander
00:21:49.580 returned fire.
00:21:50.700 When the bystander
00:21:51.560 confronted the attacker,
00:21:52.960 he stopped attacking
00:21:53.860 and threw his gun
00:21:54.760 in a parking lot.
00:21:56.000 Fortunately,
00:21:56.620 no one was injured
00:21:57.460 in the attack.
00:21:58.700 Chicago, Illinois,
00:21:59.560 July 4, 2021.
00:22:01.660 It seems likely
00:22:02.440 that if the concealed
00:22:03.240 handgun permit holder
00:22:04.280 hadn't intervened
00:22:05.140 in this case,
00:22:05.760 there would have been
00:22:06.440 at least three deaths
00:22:07.360 instead of just
00:22:08.000 the one woman.
00:22:11.120 Arvada, Colorado,
00:22:12.580 June 21, 2021.
00:22:14.360 The attacker
00:22:14.840 and two other people
00:22:15.760 were killed
00:22:16.280 in this attack.
00:22:17.180 A good Samaritan
00:22:18.020 who was killed
00:22:18.700 in a shooting
00:22:19.280 in Alvarado, Colorado.
00:22:20.620 He did not hesitate.
00:22:21.880 He didn't stand there
00:22:22.660 and think about it.
00:22:23.460 He totally heard
00:22:24.240 the gunfire,
00:22:25.200 went to the door,
00:22:25.840 saw the shooter,
00:22:26.440 and immediately
00:22:26.960 ran in that direction.
00:22:28.720 I just want to make sure
00:22:29.620 his family knows
00:22:30.420 how heroic he was.
00:22:32.520 Toronto said he witnessed
00:22:33.460 Hurley confront
00:22:34.120 the gunman.
00:22:34.820 Mr. Hurley shot him.
00:22:36.180 I think I heard
00:22:37.040 six shots from his gun,
00:22:38.280 maybe five.
00:22:39.400 Police chief said
00:22:40.340 Hurley is a true hero
00:22:41.560 who likely disrupted
00:22:42.760 what could have been
00:22:43.440 a larger loss of life.
00:22:45.020 I'm running out of time,
00:22:46.160 but Fort Smith,
00:22:47.500 Arkansas,
00:22:48.180 May 15, 2021.
00:22:49.860 Zachary Honorable,
00:22:50.640 26,
00:22:51.200 fatally shot.
00:22:52.220 Lois Hicks,
00:22:52.740 87,
00:22:53.260 in her apartment,
00:22:54.020 then began shooting
00:22:54.840 at other people
00:22:55.540 in neighborhood apartments.
00:22:57.020 Wallace A. West, 58,
00:22:58.280 used a rifle,
00:22:59.200 not a concealed handgun,
00:23:00.560 to stop the attack.
00:23:04.300 Metairi, Louisiana,
00:23:06.480 February 20, 2021,
00:23:08.040 having murdered two people
00:23:09.040 and wounded a couple of others,
00:23:10.280 it's clear that the attacker
00:23:11.280 intended to kill
00:23:12.020 as many people as possible.
00:23:13.880 The quick response
00:23:14.600 by people with concealed handgun
00:23:16.020 permits stopped the attack.
00:23:17.660 I could go on forever.
00:23:19.040 Ann Marie on Facebook says
00:23:23.960 Biden wants us unarmed
00:23:25.720 and subject to the slaughter
00:23:27.260 by criminals.
00:23:28.700 On Rumble,
00:23:29.380 Rokor says
00:23:30.260 they want to lower the age
00:23:32.300 to 16
00:23:33.400 and then deem
00:23:34.480 all federal gun laws illegal.
00:23:36.700 A different perspective
00:23:37.700 from CKS on Twitter
00:23:39.200 who says
00:23:39.880 why can't people live
00:23:41.280 without these guns?
00:23:42.860 Hot takes all around.
00:23:44.620 And of course,
00:23:46.060 a good guy with a gun
00:23:47.260 isn't going to stop
00:23:48.240 a bad guy with a gun
00:23:49.380 100% of the time.
00:23:51.520 But it gives good people
00:23:53.360 a chance.
00:23:54.840 And when seconds count
00:23:55.900 and the police are minutes away,
00:23:58.140 that could be the difference
00:23:58.980 in life and death.
00:24:00.020 In the Evaldi case,
00:24:01.720 the police,
00:24:02.940 well,
00:24:03.380 they waited in the hallway
00:24:04.440 even after they arrived.
00:24:06.620 One thing we learned
00:24:07.600 from the Parkland shooting
00:24:08.940 is that police need to be trained
00:24:10.900 and up to date
00:24:11.700 on their training
00:24:12.320 or else they will fail
00:24:13.380 due to incompetence
00:24:15.060 or problems in execution.
00:24:16.960 They also need leaders
00:24:19.500 who will make
00:24:20.340 the right decisions
00:24:21.380 in real time.
00:24:23.580 I don't think that happened
00:24:24.540 in Evaldi.
00:24:25.800 We don't need to set
00:24:27.080 our officers up
00:24:27.960 for failure
00:24:28.640 by putting up
00:24:29.940 with a lack of funding,
00:24:31.640 a lack of oversight,
00:24:32.460 or poor leadership.
00:24:34.240 State governors should look
00:24:35.280 to Ron DeSantis
00:24:36.300 of Florida
00:24:37.100 who in the first days
00:24:38.880 of his governorship
00:24:39.660 fired Broward County Sheriff
00:24:42.280 Scott Israel
00:24:43.140 for failing
00:24:44.200 to keep his officers
00:24:45.640 trained and prepared.
00:24:47.440 Bad decisions
00:24:48.380 in real time.
00:24:50.340 The solution
00:24:50.760 is not to federalize
00:24:52.160 schools
00:24:52.760 by getting the DOJ
00:24:54.220 and the FBI involved.
00:24:55.560 I'm not for federalizing
00:24:56.700 the school police
00:24:57.860 any more than I'm for
00:24:58.580 federalizing
00:24:59.120 the regular police.
00:25:01.020 It's like school safety
00:25:01.860 in Southern California
00:25:02.880 where they have
00:25:03.540 open ramps
00:25:04.660 and the use of outside space
00:25:05.980 year-round
00:25:06.460 probably is not going to be
00:25:07.540 the same as in Minnesota
00:25:09.060 where I hear it's
00:25:10.060 light outside
00:25:10.760 like 20 minutes a day.
00:25:11.760 And of course,
00:25:13.660 the left has
00:25:14.440 its usual talking points
00:25:15.840 like AR-15s have to go,
00:25:17.900 white supremacy,
00:25:18.880 replacement theory.
00:25:20.560 Representative Adam Kinzinger
00:25:21.920 doesn't seem to know
00:25:22.840 what he wants to do
00:25:23.660 about AR-15s.
00:25:25.200 Maybe we should ban
00:25:26.120 their sale,
00:25:26.860 he opined on ABC Sunday.
00:25:30.960 The AR-15,
00:25:32.580 which as you said,
00:25:33.360 you own an AR-15.
00:25:35.580 Las Vegas,
00:25:36.660 it was an AR-15.
00:25:38.200 The Pulse Nightclub,
00:25:40.040 Sandy Hook,
00:25:41.120 Uvalde,
00:25:42.220 so many of these
00:25:43.260 are with that weapon.
00:25:45.340 What do you say
00:25:45.860 to Chris Murphy
00:25:46.560 who says that the AR-15
00:25:47.980 should be banned?
00:25:49.940 Straight up banned.
00:25:50.880 Why do you still have one?
00:25:52.720 I say that I'd love
00:25:53.760 to get in a conversation
00:25:54.440 with him about it
00:25:55.260 in a good way
00:25:55.880 because I'll tell you
00:25:56.860 where I've come on this.
00:25:58.400 I think we need to have
00:25:59.540 this real discussion
00:26:00.940 and I don't mean that
00:26:01.720 as politicians say
00:26:02.820 so they can kick
00:26:03.440 to the next question.
00:26:04.980 I think if there's a way
00:26:06.180 to maybe,
00:26:06.900 when it comes to ARs,
00:26:08.600 you know,
00:26:08.780 is there a special license
00:26:10.000 you need to own one?
00:26:11.860 Are there ways
00:26:12.840 that we can ensure
00:26:14.260 that those that own them
00:26:15.520 are the ones,
00:26:16.600 look, again,
00:26:17.280 we all have to admit
00:26:18.060 and know 99.9%
00:26:19.580 of AR owners
00:26:20.440 aren't walking in
00:26:21.360 and having mass shootings.
00:26:22.720 Is there a way
00:26:23.340 to differentiate
00:26:24.020 and make a distinction there?
00:26:26.520 I'm definitely ready
00:26:27.560 to engage
00:26:28.100 in that conversation
00:26:29.060 and maybe that ultimately
00:26:30.100 includes not selling
00:26:31.100 them anymore.
00:26:31.800 That's fine
00:26:32.320 because to me,
00:26:33.120 again,
00:26:34.420 I'm focused
00:26:35.360 on saving life now.
00:26:39.560 Melody on Facebook,
00:26:41.040 very upset
00:26:41.600 that open carry
00:26:42.680 would be blamed
00:26:43.580 for the school
00:26:44.280 shooting problem.
00:26:45.120 I appreciate that feedback
00:26:46.160 and what Adam Kinzinger
00:26:47.620 and others
00:26:47.980 don't seem to understand
00:26:48.900 is that AR-15s
00:26:50.880 are the most commonly
00:26:52.060 owned rifle in America
00:26:53.520 used by many Americans
00:26:55.420 for lawful activities
00:26:57.060 such as shooting competition,
00:26:59.020 hog hunting,
00:26:59.840 and personal protection.
00:27:00.820 The left went nuts
00:27:02.680 when I put up
00:27:03.300 this tweet
00:27:03.680 in response
00:27:04.160 to someone asking
00:27:04.980 whether or not
00:27:05.980 people needed AR-15s
00:27:07.380 and I highlighted
00:27:08.160 the fact that
00:27:09.440 target practice,
00:27:11.040 self-defense,
00:27:12.440 hog hunting,
00:27:13.000 these things
00:27:13.420 could be legitimate uses.
00:27:14.840 I think that got
00:27:15.280 like 2 million impressions
00:27:16.600 because of the number
00:27:17.680 of people
00:27:17.980 that were just
00:27:18.340 utterly triggered.
00:27:19.640 Less people are killed
00:27:20.780 by rifles every year
00:27:22.200 than handguns
00:27:23.700 or knives.
00:27:24.860 AR-15s are just
00:27:26.140 a convenient boogeyman
00:27:27.380 for the left.
00:27:28.720 Yes, we know
00:27:29.200 AR-15s are scary
00:27:30.340 and black
00:27:30.840 and they make
00:27:31.300 a loud noise
00:27:31.920 but AR-15s
00:27:33.320 save people's lives.
00:27:35.380 Who's to tell
00:27:35.860 the government,
00:27:36.660 who is the government
00:27:37.360 I should say
00:27:37.800 to tell the roof Koreans
00:27:39.500 that they don't need
00:27:40.940 AR-15s to protect
00:27:42.140 their businesses
00:27:42.660 and families
00:27:43.320 during the LA riots.
00:27:44.500 It was an iconic image.
00:27:46.760 Who is the government
00:27:47.380 to tell you
00:27:48.220 that you don't need
00:27:49.160 an AR-15
00:27:49.820 to protect your family
00:27:51.120 and property
00:27:51.800 from violent hordes
00:27:53.340 during civil unrest
00:27:54.700 like those we saw
00:27:55.640 in the last few summers?
00:27:56.980 But it makes people
00:27:58.800 uncomfortable
00:27:59.640 sometimes
00:28:00.860 to know the real purpose
00:28:02.600 of the second amendment
00:28:03.700 and the second amendment
00:28:05.180 does not exist
00:28:06.360 for self-defense
00:28:07.660 or for hunting.
00:28:09.480 It is insurance
00:28:11.520 against a tyrannical government.
00:28:13.940 That was the constitutional
00:28:15.700 historical purpose.
00:28:18.360 The AR-15,
00:28:20.080 well,
00:28:21.000 who's to say
00:28:21.500 that wouldn't be
00:28:22.220 the tool
00:28:23.200 that would be necessary
00:28:25.240 to curate
00:28:26.520 the balance
00:28:27.400 of power
00:28:28.200 that has secured
00:28:29.780 American liberty
00:28:30.960 for many generations.
00:28:33.920 We keep hearing
00:28:35.740 that the second amendment
00:28:37.180 is an absolute.
00:28:38.180 Biden says
00:28:38.800 that you couldn't own cannons
00:28:40.120 when the second amendment
00:28:40.920 was written.
00:28:41.960 Wrong.
00:28:42.520 You actually could own cannons
00:28:43.960 and shall not be infringed
00:28:46.060 seems like a pretty
00:28:47.140 absolute clause.
00:28:48.920 Our founding fathers
00:28:49.560 not only wanted you
00:28:50.280 to be armed
00:28:51.000 but sufficiently armed
00:28:53.160 to deter tyranny.
00:28:55.520 We cannot let them down.
00:28:57.940 The left even tries
00:28:58.860 to pin these crazed
00:29:00.280 lunatic shooters
00:29:01.060 on their right-wing fantasies.
00:29:04.220 The Buffalo shooter
00:29:05.040 was admittedly
00:29:06.040 a left-wing nut.
00:29:07.720 The person who shot up
00:29:09.080 the congressional baseball game
00:29:10.800 was a Bernie bro.
00:29:12.540 We had black nationalists
00:29:14.020 go on rampages,
00:29:15.220 Muslim fanatics,
00:29:16.240 and yes,
00:29:16.920 an occasional white supremacist.
00:29:18.520 It's all bad
00:29:19.320 and should be condemned.
00:29:21.000 And now
00:29:21.740 we have Salvador Ramos
00:29:23.420 whose family
00:29:24.660 doesn't speak English
00:29:25.940 and he goes on
00:29:27.500 a shooting spree
00:29:28.460 killing
00:29:29.400 just people
00:29:30.760 who were
00:29:31.360 in large part
00:29:32.660 Hispanics,
00:29:34.160 first generation
00:29:34.840 immigrants
00:29:35.640 just like himself.
00:29:37.220 Do you think
00:29:37.900 he was motivated
00:29:38.700 by mass migration
00:29:40.400 and demographic change
00:29:41.740 as the left tries
00:29:42.420 to call
00:29:42.840 replacement theory?
00:29:44.040 Cornell Belcher
00:29:45.620 went on Meet the Press
00:29:46.460 to blame guns,
00:29:47.920 nationalism,
00:29:49.060 and replacement theory
00:29:50.160 all at once.
00:29:51.660 Take a listen.
00:29:52.180 We can't decouple
00:29:56.040 sort of what's going on
00:29:58.420 with guns
00:29:58.860 from what we see
00:30:00.140 moving,
00:30:00.740 a nationalist movement
00:30:01.760 in this country.
00:30:02.820 And Chuck,
00:30:03.480 it is frightening
00:30:04.920 to think
00:30:05.860 that we are mixing
00:30:07.040 easy gun access
00:30:09.420 with the rise
00:30:10.380 of nationalism
00:30:11.020 and this toxic
00:30:12.520 sort of hate,
00:30:14.380 grievance politics,
00:30:15.720 replacement politics,
00:30:16.180 and we're lighting
00:30:17.940 and we're mixing
00:30:19.100 sort of easy access
00:30:20.900 to assault weapons
00:30:21.860 with this
00:30:22.520 in this toxic mix.
00:30:24.540 And my God,
00:30:26.200 this cannot be
00:30:28.080 the way forward
00:30:28.720 for this country.
00:30:29.740 And it's not
00:30:30.060 either a right
00:30:30.500 or a left problem,
00:30:31.220 but you can't,
00:30:31.900 look at that
00:30:32.580 nationalistic movement
00:30:33.400 that you're seeing there
00:30:34.180 and we got
00:30:35.180 grievance politics
00:30:35.880 and we have
00:30:36.360 replacement theory
00:30:37.180 and let's all grab
00:30:38.620 assault weapons.
00:30:40.080 This cannot be
00:30:41.120 the way forward
00:30:41.640 for this country.
00:30:42.240 Sassy Bear on Rumble
00:30:47.080 says that
00:30:48.220 we might need
00:30:49.900 our guns
00:30:50.400 to be able
00:30:51.400 to get to our food
00:30:52.760 just given the
00:30:53.860 challenge that we've had
00:30:55.020 with supply chain issues.
00:30:56.560 Hopefully we're not
00:30:57.420 to that point
00:30:57.940 where Americans
00:30:58.460 are essentially
00:30:59.000 going to have to
00:30:59.660 hunt for their food
00:31:00.740 if they want to be able
00:31:02.100 to survive
00:31:03.280 and get along
00:31:04.500 and get right
00:31:05.580 with things.
00:31:06.280 Thanks so much everyone
00:31:07.340 for tuning in.
00:31:09.080 You know,
00:31:09.440 it's very important
00:31:10.600 that we follow
00:31:11.580 this legislative process,
00:31:13.020 that we see
00:31:13.800 what's coming down
00:31:14.680 the pipe.
00:31:15.320 This is likely
00:31:15.780 to be up for a vote
00:31:16.800 next week
00:31:17.860 on the floor.
00:31:19.120 Contact your members
00:31:19.900 of Congress.
00:31:20.920 Contact your senators.
00:31:22.200 A lot of you
00:31:22.700 seem to be
00:31:23.280 against this gun control.
00:31:25.040 I'm against this gun control
00:31:26.300 and certainly
00:31:27.180 we're going to continue
00:31:27.760 to battle against it.
00:31:29.140 We also have
00:31:29.720 breaking news right now
00:31:31.200 that I want to go to.
00:31:33.020 Peter Navarro
00:31:33.860 was just indicted
00:31:35.040 by a federal grand jury
00:31:36.620 on criminal contempt
00:31:38.080 of Congress
00:31:38.760 and this is a total
00:31:40.300 abuse of our
00:31:41.420 justice system.
00:31:42.180 The January 6th
00:31:43.680 committee is illegitimate
00:31:45.240 and thus no American
00:31:46.820 should be held
00:31:48.200 in contempt of Congress
00:31:49.460 for not complying
00:31:50.840 with a committee
00:31:52.000 that is not
00:31:52.920 duly formed
00:31:53.720 and duly populated.
00:31:55.160 When we had
00:31:56.560 Republicans
00:31:57.260 that Leader McCarthy
00:31:58.760 had selected
00:31:59.360 to serve on the committee,
00:32:00.960 Nancy Pelosi
00:32:01.600 kicked them off
00:32:02.680 and she did so
00:32:04.180 because she wanted
00:32:05.100 to run an illegitimate process
00:32:06.580 and you know
00:32:07.280 who was all too willing
00:32:08.580 to run that
00:32:09.600 illegitimate process
00:32:10.520 with Nancy Pelosi,
00:32:12.680 Liz Cheney,
00:32:13.280 and Adam Kinzinger.
00:32:14.400 So it isn't real,
00:32:15.840 it isn't proper,
00:32:17.200 these contempt proceedings
00:32:18.320 are not justified
00:32:20.220 and it continues
00:32:21.580 to concern us
00:32:22.500 that the goal
00:32:23.540 right now
00:32:24.180 is not for them
00:32:25.520 to be able
00:32:25.980 to deliver
00:32:26.460 for the American people
00:32:27.620 but for them
00:32:28.960 to be able
00:32:29.400 to just try
00:32:30.080 to scare people
00:32:30.700 about conservatives.
00:32:32.120 Maybe everyone's
00:32:32.600 a domestic extremist,
00:32:33.720 maybe everyone needs
00:32:34.520 their gun taken away,
00:32:35.900 maybe everyone's
00:32:36.500 contemptuous,
00:32:37.300 it's quite something.
00:32:39.220 I think we've got
00:32:39.900 a clip guys
00:32:41.020 about just how
00:32:42.680 the left
00:32:43.160 sort of frames that up.
00:32:44.620 Let's go to it.
00:32:47.340 If you're looking
00:32:48.160 at sort of
00:32:48.800 the headwinds
00:32:49.560 into the midterms,
00:32:50.820 Democrats,
00:32:51.660 listen,
00:32:51.980 we're supposed
00:32:52.280 to lose everything.
00:32:53.080 History says that.
00:32:53.980 We have an opportunity
00:32:54.940 to change the dynamic.
00:32:56.320 Like George Bush
00:32:57.020 changed the dynamic
00:32:57.720 with national security.
00:32:59.300 You know what?
00:32:59.960 The economy was a big issue
00:33:01.080 when George Bush
00:33:01.820 was running his midterm also.
00:33:03.300 They never talked about it.
00:33:04.220 They talked about
00:33:04.560 national security.
00:33:05.220 If Democrats are not
00:33:06.480 talking about
00:33:07.180 saving children's lives
00:33:08.700 and stopping hate crime
00:33:10.000 and a woman's right
00:33:11.140 to choose what happens
00:33:12.440 in her body
00:33:12.960 this election cycle,
00:33:14.220 well then shame
00:33:14.800 on Democrats.
00:33:19.280 Cornell Belcher
00:33:20.420 on Meet the Press
00:33:21.560 saying ignore
00:33:22.940 people's economic concerns.
00:33:25.060 Ignore inflation.
00:33:26.380 Ignore supply chain issues.
00:33:27.820 Ignore gas prices.
00:33:29.300 Just run
00:33:30.140 on these culture issues.
00:33:32.200 Just run on guns
00:33:33.300 and abortion.
00:33:34.440 Well you know what?
00:33:34.900 I think
00:33:35.520 that the culture
00:33:36.340 is swinging our way.
00:33:37.840 I think that people
00:33:38.480 want to protect life,
00:33:40.620 protect unborn life
00:33:41.760 and then certainly
00:33:43.060 protect life
00:33:44.460 in our schools,
00:33:45.820 in our communities
00:33:46.600 not by passing
00:33:47.800 gun control
00:33:48.640 but by ensuring
00:33:49.840 that we get rid
00:33:50.840 of the gun-free zones
00:33:51.980 that make some
00:33:52.800 of our most vulnerable
00:33:53.860 soft targets.
00:33:55.620 Thanks for tuning in.
00:33:56.800 Thanks for staying
00:33:57.420 in the fight.
00:33:58.360 We'll be back soon
00:33:59.060 on Firebrand.
00:34:00.160 Roll the credits.
