00:01:45.120 with some bringer shows down in the city
00:01:47.140 and then I, you know,
00:01:50.180 it costs you so much money to go down there
00:01:52.060 just for like 15 minutes
00:01:53.340 and you got to go down and watch you.
00:01:56.080 Do you have a yellowing headshot
00:01:58.480 hanging in some club somewhere?
00:02:01.420 Well, I actually booked for a paid show
00:02:03.660 on New Year's Eve,
00:02:04.660 opening for DL Uggly
00:02:06.520 on New Year's Eve at New York Comedy Club.
00:02:09.500 Was that before or after 9-11 New Year's Eve?
00:02:12.240 That was after 9-11.
00:02:13.500 I was thinking about that.
00:02:14.400 Is this the night they're going to blow up the Lincoln Tunnel?
00:02:16.860 You never know.
00:02:18.120 I never made it.
00:02:19.100 I never made it.
00:02:19.820 I broke down with my tractor trailer.
00:02:21.760 I needed the money.
00:02:22.880 I had to work that day and never made it.
00:02:24.980 I was calling the booker.
00:02:26.580 He never answered my phone calls again.
00:02:28.640 You're like a rom-com character.
00:02:30.480 I drove a truck, but I was doing stand-up comedy.
00:02:33.120 I met a great girl.
00:02:33.940 I've got a million things, man.
00:02:35.200 I used to go to restaurants.
00:02:36.500 I had a pizza place in Newark.
00:02:38.440 I bought a farm upstate.
00:02:40.160 What's that?
00:02:41.100 Look at you.
00:02:41.700 What are you doing now?
00:02:42.980 You sound motivated.
00:02:44.480 I have a small farm upstate New York.
00:02:46.440 I buy and sell equipment.
00:02:48.100 I have a small diner I bought up here that's close.
00:02:50.020 Look at you.
00:02:50.640 You'd never stopped.
00:02:51.800 You're a motivated guy.
00:02:53.940 I like hearing that.
00:02:54.600 You know what it is, man?
00:02:55.240 I lost everything back in the 90s.
00:02:57.020 I had a business that went under, and I spent every time I had, you know what I mean?
00:03:03.420 And living the life, you know what I mean?
00:03:05.660 And then it all went away.
00:03:07.240 But you're the kind of guy that seems like you pulled yourself up by those proverbial bootstraps. 1.00
00:03:13.300 and got your ass in gear. 0.99
00:03:15.600 I learned the value of money, and I buy things cash. 0.99
00:03:19.000 You know, and I private financing, I buy things cash.
00:03:23.020 I'm always flip.
00:03:23.700 I'm up at my shop right now.
00:03:24.980 I go seven days a week.
00:03:26.500 But like I said, you literally are my favorite show now.
00:03:29.840 You're funny.
00:03:30.280 I love it, man.
00:03:30.940 I appreciate that.
00:03:31.740 You're smart.
00:03:32.160 You're edgy.
00:03:32.900 You go to the edge and you pull back.
00:03:34.380 Thank you.
00:03:34.820 Would you ever take like a weekly gig if they offer to you during a week or no?
00:03:39.180 Yeah, it's been, you know, it's been discussed.
00:03:42.900 I'll just say that.
00:03:44.140 But, yeah, what am I doing?
00:03:45.900 I'm hanging out down here in South Carolina.
00:03:48.140 I fly radio-controlled planes.
00:03:50.700 I play with my cat and my soon-to-have dog.
00:03:53.920 Other than that, yeah, give me a show.
00:03:56.300 I'll do it whenever.
00:03:57.640 Whenever they want me to do a show, I'll do a show.
00:03:59.540 I love it.
00:03:59.820 I listen to your podcast.
00:04:00.800 I'll listen to your show, and then I'll re-listen to it during the week on your podcast while I'm driving.
00:04:05.380 Thank you, Jim. 0.80
00:04:06.460 Yeah, and I said I'm not a suck-up, man.
00:04:08.780 No, that's great. 0.71
00:04:09.860 No, you seem like a pretty straightforward guy.
00:04:10.620 I never knew you back in the day.
00:04:11.680 Hey, I knew your show, Opie and Anthony, except I was a stern guy, you know?
00:04:16.760 And I just happened by chance to listen to your first show when it came on a few weeks ago.
00:04:23.020 And I was like, this is great.
00:04:24.440 You know, I actually turned a few people on to it.
00:04:26.580 I really appreciate that.
00:04:28.280 Genuine, genuine compliment. 1.00
00:04:30.040 I said, you talk about the illegal aliens and trucking, they're destroying trucking. 0.91
00:04:34.720 See, there's an unknown program that Biden installed called the non-domiciled CDL program. 0.95
00:04:43.460 He fast-tracked refugees.
00:04:45.620 And there's probably over a million refugees untracked, right, fast-tracked that are driving 0.99
00:04:52.180 track of trailers now, like Somalians, Pakistanis. 1.00
00:04:55.620 Oh, my God. 1.00
00:04:56.700 Now, if I'm not wrong here, Jim, and let me tell you, because I've kept tabs on this
00:05:02.000 through the news.
00:05:02.640 they are some of the worst drivers ever they're involved in so many just regular not even
00:05:09.120 commercial regular crashes they're not insured they don't have a license uh this is terrible
00:05:17.320 i haven't heard about this yet i've had a back of men dude i had a somalian guy from this one
00:05:22.840 company he's like 20 minutes he's trying to back in back it in like a snake hey man stop turning
00:05:28.080 away. He goes, turn the wheel which way? This way? This way?
00:05:30.120 I literally stood on the step and
00:05:31.940 backed his truck in. I'm the truck driver now.
00:05:35.480 Listen, you know
00:05:36.220 what it is, man? It's
00:05:37.380 killing trucking because
00:05:39.860 they'll work for anything. Trucking 0.81
00:05:41.960 goes up and down in cycles. The rates
00:05:43.800 go up. The rates came down and they're
00:05:45.880 never going back up because these guys ain't going
00:05:47.860 nowhere. If you live in a hut in Somalia 0.97
00:05:49.820 and make it $400 a year, now you're 0.96
00:05:51.860 in an air-conditioned tractor trailer. You know what I mean?
00:05:54.240 Oh, it's the life.
00:05:56.060 Right. You go into the bathroom
00:05:57.800 I'm home every day.
00:05:59.620 But you go into a bathroom at a truck stop, they're in there washing their feet in the hand wash thing.
00:06:06.040 It really looks like a third row.
00:06:07.980 See, people don't know about this. 1.00
00:06:09.720 They're unvetted, fast-track refugees that are driving track or trailing them. 1.00
00:06:14.860 I haven't heard this, Jim. 1.00
00:06:16.180 They've dumbed the job down so much.
00:06:19.080 Automatic transmissions, GPS in any language, they just point them and go.
00:06:24.540 It's a real problem in trucking.
00:06:27.080 Not like the old days where you'd hear,
00:06:29.100 brr, brr, brr.
00:06:30.960 Dude, I'd be in Manhattan at 2 o'clock in the morning
00:06:34.680 with a Cisco truck loaded to the roof at 15 stops
00:06:37.680 going into the basement.
00:06:39.580 I'd come into the Lincoln Tunnel.
00:06:41.980 I'd go down to 1st Street.
00:06:43.360 I'd make a left. 1.00
00:06:44.120 I'd see all the transvestites. 1.00
00:06:45.300 They were drag queens all dressed up. 1.00
00:06:46.820 And it was my girl. 1.00
00:06:47.980 Norton was probably there first.
00:06:49.160 Jimmy, yeah, you probably saw Jimmy there.
00:06:51.160 Jim, thanks so much, man.
00:06:52.520 I appreciate you listening and I appreciate what you do, man.
00:06:58.020 You're a motivated guy.
00:06:59.460 We need more guys like you, man.
00:07:00.860 Thank you, man.
00:07:03.460 That's something.
00:07:04.500 Yeah.
00:07:05.100 Every single aspect of this country has been screwed over by what this this Biden Harris administration did over the past four years.
00:07:15.700 And, you know, Obama, too.
00:07:19.420 The first term of Trump was a speed bump.
00:07:22.520 That was just a speed bump to try to slow down what was going on.
00:07:27.040 But having the speed bump between Obama and Biden or whoever was the president, we don't even really know.
00:07:36.660 It screwed everything up. 0.99
00:07:38.580 They put so many illegals into this country. 1.00
00:07:43.340 And even now with Trump in office, we can't even throw them out. 1.00
00:07:48.440 They're losing their minds.
00:07:49.780 and it has been so detrimental to this country and they'll try to tell you immigrants are the 1.00
00:07:56.880 they're gold oh diversity is our greatest strength we need more people that is such garbage 0.97
00:08:07.000 if you are qualified and you can help and make this country a better place come on in you are 0.93
00:08:17.300 cordially invited to be a citizen of the united states but you got to assimilate
00:08:25.160 you gotta realize what makes us america and and uh what what type of morals and values
00:08:35.620 we have things we hold dear as a country you can't be against that and just want a free ride
00:08:45.680 then get out no one's saying that everyone that comes into this country is bad but the vast
00:08:55.080 majority recently over the past few years over obama and and biden administration yeah they're
00:09:02.460 terrible they've been terrible this is a bad time for for this country and he's right
00:09:11.180 he's right we i i've watched videos uh dash cams of these trucks because the companies put cameras
00:09:22.040 in them they want to see how these guys from somalia or central america are doing and you
00:09:29.260 watch these videos and they're hazards just complete hazards they don't know what they're
00:09:35.460 doing they're giving them this giant weapon to wield on the highways and uh it's terrible
00:09:43.700 terrible when you travel well your klm royal dutch airlines ticket takes you to more than
00:09:50.660 just your destination it takes you to front row views voices lost in the music and new shared
00:09:57.900 memories. And when the last song fades, the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines crew is here to ensure your
00:10:07.060 journey home hits all the right notes. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. When you travel, travel well.
