00:00:55.960 Get started now. Let there be goals
00:00:58.040 this summer on FanDuel.
00:01:00.100 Listen, all you New Yorkers.
00:01:02.580 You mean taxi?
00:01:04.000 Okay, then you want to look around.
00:01:05.300 This is the 77
00:01:07.160 WABC Minicast.
00:01:11.100 The
00:01:11.740 parade
00:01:12.400 of mayors
00:01:15.780 that are just 0.99
00:01:17.780 clown shoes 0.93
00:01:18.900 in this country is astounding. 0.98
00:01:22.040 um a lot of a lot of people like talking about uh red states and how the red states are the ones
00:01:31.080 with the most gun violence the red states are the ones that have more people on um ebt and snap
00:01:39.240 benefits and the red states what they don't do is uh let people know that it's the blue cities
00:01:47.540 in those red states that are the catastrophe going on.
00:01:55.780 It's not the states.
00:01:57.360 It's these blue cities with these mayors that are just how they do not get arrested
00:02:04.140 for gross misconduct, negligence of their duties is beyond me.
00:02:12.440 and an Anthony Cumia show would not be complete any week
00:02:17.740 without having to bring up Chicago's Mayor Johnson.
00:02:22.480 This guy has to be the worst mayor.
00:02:29.300 Now, we'll see what happens with Memdani in New York, technically.
00:02:33.820 Well, not technically.
00:02:35.060 Literally, he is not mayor yet until January 1st.
00:02:41.580 But right now, I defy you to find a mayor worse than Chicago Mayor Johnson because this guy would rather stack up the bodies of young people in Chicago than do anything realistically that will curtail the violent crime and murder going on in his city.
00:03:08.760 He will look at real solutions and just go, nope, pile them up, stack them up, don't care.
00:03:19.260 I'm not going to make law enforcement look like they actually serve a legitimate purpose.
00:03:26.840 I can't allow the Chicago Police Department to do their job because then if it works,
00:03:33.940 How am I going to tell people that the police department are terrible and racist and and should be defunded?
00:03:42.880 He will do anything but actually take the hard steps that are needed.
00:03:51.600 To to try to try to do anything to stop the carnage that goes on in Chicago.
00:04:01.580 So that's, you know, if you're in Chicago, that's your mayor.
00:04:04.220 That's Mayor Johnson. 1.00
00:04:05.940 And we thought Lori Lightfoot was an abomination.
00:04:12.100 Boy, you guys.
00:04:13.600 And then, you know, this happens everywhere in these blue cities,
00:04:19.380 and some of them statewide with their governors and congressmen and senators.
00:04:26.200 But, you know, you just vote these people in.
00:04:30.900 You got rid of Lori Lightfoot.
00:04:32.840 Good job. 0.92
00:04:33.780 And then you vote in a guy even worse than Lori Lightfoot.
00:04:39.840 What are you doing?
00:04:41.880 What am I doing?
00:04:44.240 You guys are screwing up so bad in Chicago.
00:04:48.580 So maybe I'm speaking a little prematurely because I have in my hand
00:04:56.520 another one of Chicago Mayor Johnson's solutions
00:05:04.380 to the violence problem going on in Chicago.
00:05:08.960 Now, you might say, Anthony, what problem is there?
00:05:12.660 What seems to be the problem in Chicago?
00:05:15.880 Well, this story is interesting and pretty typical of Chicago. 1.00
00:05:22.680 There's a serial woman puncher
00:05:26.520 How this is even a thing? 1.00
00:05:28.960 A serial woman puncher has been arrested again.
00:05:33.960 William Livingston, 32, charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery in a public place.
00:05:40.040 Police say Livingston was identified as the man who struck two women,
00:05:43.900 age 40 and 29, on June 12th.
00:05:46.440 He previously spent time in jail for punching several other women.
00:05:52.340 Kathleen Miles, a mother of 11 from Lake Villa, was punched on August 19th.
00:05:59.580 Livingston was named a suspect and taken into custody.
00:06:03.220 CPD records show he had seven arrests in the past 10 years for similar attacks,
00:06:09.680 including two in 2017, an aggravated assault charge in 2015 and 2016. 0.78
00:06:16.340 Coming in with seven punches, it's William Livingston, 32, says, Dear Casey, I love punching women.
00:06:30.320 He faced four felony counts of aggravated battery for the early 2022 attack.
00:06:38.560 So here's Chicago's problem.
00:06:40.920 And it's not unique to Chicago.
00:06:42.880 any liberal democrat city uh can show you similar statistics they just let these people go
00:06:52.900 they let them go these are violent felons this isn't the you know oh why would a guy arrested
00:07:03.920 for a couple of roaches in his ashtray have to go to prison and everyone agreed with that
00:07:10.500 I think any rational person would go, yeah, if you get arrested for two roaches in your ashtray during a traffic stop and somehow end up in jail, by the way, that never happens, then, yeah, you should be let out.
00:07:26.440 There was some miscarriage of justice there.
00:07:30.180 But that isn't the case.
00:07:31.820 that's what they sold all of this bail reform on and and uh putting uh people giving them probation
00:07:41.120 and paroling uh criminals violent criminals it was all under this hey this guy had a joint or
00:07:50.320 two on him he's a good guy why are we locking him up and everyone went oh okay and then they just
00:07:57.300 flung the doors open and are are letting violent felons roam the streets and they get arrested
00:08:07.540 again they let him out arrested again they let him out for the same thing beating women you know
00:08:13.040 i thought we were a chivalrous nation i thought we we looked at women with respect and honored them
00:08:19.460 and kept them safe.
00:08:21.820 Isn't that a man's job?
00:08:24.020 To keep women safe? 0.89
00:08:27.500 And then you got Mayor Johnson in Chicago
00:08:31.040 that just refuses to do some of the most common sense actions
00:08:38.100 to make Chicago safer.
00:08:41.420 So here is, let me read this to you.
00:08:44.100 It's the community safety surcharge that he is going to try.
00:08:50.780 At least he's proposed it.
00:08:51.960 He wants this.
00:08:53.220 This, my friends, will take care of the crime in Chicago.
00:08:58.560 Not, you know, taking criminals off the streets, putting them in jail and in prison for lengths of time to do their sentences.
00:09:08.280 Not that.
00:09:10.140 This is literally a tax.
00:09:12.840 It is a safety, safety tax, the safety tax, a safety tax.
00:09:20.620 Mayor Brandon Johnson's proposed twenty one dollar per employee tax on corporations with twenty one or more workers aimed at generating revenue for violence prevention programs.
00:09:35.860 You have a violence prevention program.
00:09:40.240 It's called the Chicago Police Department.
00:09:43.980 There's your violence protection program, prevention program.
00:09:48.560 And if you let them do their job and you put a police commissioner in place that lets them do their job, then you've prevented violence.
00:10:01.780 Where's your playlist taking you?
00:10:04.680 Down the highway?
00:10:05.980 To the mountains?
