00:02:04.920 in pretty much every aspect of the conservative movement, appears to have been shot at a recent

00:02:12.160 He was giving a discussion on why trans individuals owning guns is dangerous in the United States.

00:02:32.320 I have been told that he has survived and it is on his way to the hospital, but everything

00:03:02.220 went live, we both read that Charlie Kirk had been shot, which is just absolutely horrible

00:03:09.560 We have to, of course, pray for him and for his family.

00:03:12.900 This is just unbelievably horrifying.

00:03:15.400 Charlie Kirk is someone who's done a lot of good for the conservative movement, and he's

00:03:20.620 also somebody who is not an incendiary figure.

00:03:24.360 He is not somebody who is far right.

00:03:26.860 And I'm not saying that if he was, it would make it at all okay.

00:03:29.180 But it's just shocking how just being an outspoken conservative person with very reasonable opinions

00:03:36.180 who isn't agitating, who's communicating your viewpoint in a rational way, still subjects

00:03:41.680 you to this kind of danger.

00:04:34.840 Obviously, we recently saw what happened to Irina in North Carolina, obviously that person

00:04:42.800 not directly controlled, in theory, by the Democrats, but obviously a product of a criminal

00:04:48.040 justice system designed to unleash people like that.

00:04:51.600 And so I think a lot of Americans are increasingly aware that they are surrounded by violent agents

00:04:58.640 of the Democratic Party who are hoping that they die.

00:05:02.400 And well, and oh, sorry, I thought you were done.

00:05:07.100 What I was just going to say is you and I know, I'm sure viewers of your show know, for the

00:05:10.660 left to become violent as a mere return to form, it essentially came to be on the world

00:05:15.840 stage with the French Revolution, slaughtering innocent people, thousands and thousands,

00:05:21.180 even hundreds of thousands, actually, when you get into the Vendée.

00:05:24.320 And so you can forget about that.

00:05:26.020 Most people do, unfortunately.

00:05:27.660 The reality is this is a movement which has been radically violent from its inception,

00:05:30.880 and it's no mistake that it aligns itself with violent people and with other violent

00:05:37.320 institutions, not to go off on too much of a tangent here, because we do want to keep

00:05:40.500 the focus on Charlie, but just to help people sort of understand the phenomena here.

00:05:45.200 Conservatives will sometimes point out that there's this irony to the fact that leftists

00:05:49.680 consider Muslims to be allies or that they often align themselves with Muslim causes, including

00:05:58.580 radical ones.

00:05:59.300 They think that there's something strange about this.

00:06:01.560 What odd bedfellows?

00:06:02.540 Well, the reality is leftism first came to be on the world stage in order to slaughter

00:06:09.680 Christians, and Muslims historically have slaughtered millions of Christians, so they're perfect

00:06:15.920 allies.

00:06:16.300 If you actually want to understand this in terms of how systems operate and what actions,

00:06:21.580 horrible ideologies influence people to commit, it makes perfect sense.

00:06:25.220 It's a violent ideology to its core.

00:06:27.260 However, it exists in a very real sense to justify violence against innocent people and

00:06:34.540 everything else is window dressing.

00:06:35.960 It's very clear, again, as you rightly point out, that the left is nothing but a long chain

00:06:45.360 of terrorist actions.

00:06:47.400 My friend and frequent guest Stephen Carson has a great series on this about left-wing violence

00:06:54.420 across the ages.

00:06:55.320 But we don't need to even go into a deep historical review, simply realizing that every few years

00:07:02.220 the left attempts to stoke a race riot in the United States, gins up an air of violence, unleashes

00:07:09.420 mass riots and protests on the United States on a regular basis, whether it's BLM, whether it's

00:07:17.120 Antifa, whether it's Rodney King riots, all of these things.

00:07:21.820 We can rattle off so many.

00:07:24.900 We know that the media has played up this aspect at every opportunity, calling for violence in

00:07:32.320 all but direct name against Republican candidates.

00:07:36.100 Democrats regularly say that their supporters should harass and in other ways intimidate

00:07:41.980 Republicans.

00:07:43.420 We have seen the media use the kind of incendiary rhetoric that encourages violence against

00:07:49.160 conservatives, including the multiple killings of conservatives, culminating obviously in

00:07:56.180 the multiple assassination attempts on the life of Donald Trump.

00:08:02.420 And to be really clear, this could have been any of us.

00:08:04.520 As you point out, Charlie Kirk is a public figure, but he is not a man who is using hyper incendiary

00:08:13.600 language.

00:08:14.020 He's not on the far right.

00:08:16.140 He's not somebody who is saying outlandish stuff.

00:08:19.740 This is as mainstream as the mainstream conservative movement gets.

00:08:23.860 So if they can shoot Charlie Kirk, they can shoot anyone and they will.

00:08:29.040 Well, and it's also just incredible to see how quickly this kind of thing is swept under

00:08:34.240 the rug.

00:08:34.760 When Donald Trump got shot, it was immediately out of the media's consciousness.

00:08:40.120 And they were even labeling people who wanted to talk about the fact that the presidential

00:08:45.560 front runner was just shot as if they were pouncing or seething.

00:08:50.080 There were all sorts of different headlines where you had that kind of typical leftist style

00:08:54.500 of rhetoric that points to something horrible that happened to a right winger that should

00:08:58.020 elicit justified outrage and then characterizing the right wing response with some kind of emotional

00:09:02.960 language to make the right seem unhinged.

00:09:05.000 I fear that we may see a similar response to what happened here with Charlie Kirk.

00:09:09.920 But again, as you said, as we've touched on here, this is not some radical.

00:09:14.380 This is not some far right fascist.

00:09:16.460 This is Charlie Kirk.

00:09:18.200 I mean, you and I, I think it's safe to say are both probably to the right of Charlie Kirk.

00:09:22.180 I'm certainly more incendiary than Charlie Kirk is in many ways because I'm a satirist.

00:09:26.640 The fact that he got shot while he was on a college campus trying to have good faith discussions

00:09:31.520 with students in order to peaceably change their minds shows exactly what the situation

00:09:37.080 that we're in is right now, because as you mentioned, the left, it is a series of violent

00:09:41.260 terroristic acts historically, just a long string of them.

00:09:43.860 But today they're operating ethos is essentially everything is violence, but actual violence.

00:09:49.160 Charlie Kirk having these conversations is inherently violent because it's contributing to the oppressive

00:09:53.760 structures that result in violence, befalling people of color or minority or trans people.

00:09:59.460 Um, and I got to be honest, it's rare that I'm at a loss for words as someone who speaks

00:10:05.680 for a living and thinks and talks about politics a lot, but I really can't think of anything

00:10:10.620 else to say about the fact that Charlie Kirk got shot other than we need to pray about this

00:10:15.860 and we need to pray for his soul.

00:10:17.080 We need to pray that, that he survives this and pulls through because he's obviously not

00:10:22.540 just a political pundit.

00:19:43.700 And it was very clear, uh, that I think he was moving the direction that many people had hoped he

00:21:28.120 sort of like painting him with the brush of the opinions that he had 10 years ago.

00:21:31.640 Um, but again, regardless, Charlie Kirk, as someone who could reasonably just be described

00:21:39.900 as, as center target of sane leftist act of, of terrorism.

00:21:49.900 That means your family's on the table too.

00:21:52.020 Like it's, we're all in the same boat together here.

00:21:55.960 And we have to understand that, like, again, this is a man with a family and it's,

00:22:07.500 The reality is Charlie Kirk is one of the guys who's standing in the way on certain issues.

00:22:16.320 So again, pray that he lives, pray that he makes a full recovery and is healthy.
