00:00:17.800 It's kind of like, I'm already on vacation.

00:00:20.980 Nice! 0.94

00:00:22.240 On behalf of Air Canada, nice travels.

00:00:25.260 Wi-Fi available to Airplane members on Equipped Flight.

00:00:27.340 Sponsored by Bell. Conditions apply.

00:00:28.580 See AirCanada.com.

00:00:30.000 Symbols are funny things.

00:00:39.960 As modern, progressive, enlightened people,

00:00:42.140 we're not really supposed to care very much about symbols.

00:00:45.380 That's something from the past.

00:00:47.020 Something superstitious. 0.61

00:00:48.320 Something our ancestors did.

00:00:50.240 But we've moved well beyond that.

00:00:52.740 Sure, a symbol might stand for something we kind of care about.

00:00:56.260 But the idea that the cloth of a flag or an engraving or a drawing somewhere really means something significant, something sacred.

00:01:06.080 I mean, that's really low status, right?

00:01:08.880 We wouldn't want to be caught believing that.

00:01:11.920 But when we look at the world around us today, it's getting harder and harder to pretend that this is the case.

00:01:17.200 I think that's why people like Jordan Peterson and Jonathan Peugeot have created such large audiences.

00:01:24.340 Because they're speaking to something that is still deeply true about the human experience.

00:01:28.900 The symbolic nature of the world around us is real if it's into a narrative that gives us identity and purpose, meaning, orients us towards a vision of the good.

00:01:40.120 And when we ignore those symbols, we don't understand important parts of the world.

00:01:45.700 That's why even though this has been labeled low status, where people aren't supposed to understand these things, they're not supposed to notice these things, you still get people like Peterson with large audiences because they want to know more, because they recognize that they still care about these things.

00:02:00.380 And the people around them care about these things.

00:02:02.700 And that they still carry significant weight.

00:02:05.840 And ignoring them has a real detriment to your understanding of the world around you.

00:02:11.560 But again, we're not supposed to care about symbols.

00:02:14.640 We're supposed to disenchant the world.

00:02:17.120 We're not supposed to acknowledge any higher meaning that could be behind these symbols.

00:02:22.380 So you can burn an American flag, right?

00:02:25.000 Because really, America is just a dream.

00:02:28.340 It's just an idea.

00:02:29.600 It's not a specific place or a specific people.

00:02:32.440 It's a set of abstract freedoms.

00:02:34.960 And by burning the American flag, you're not desecrating that flag.

00:02:38.680 You're not disrespecting that flag.

00:02:40.040 You're actually enjoying the freedoms behind that flag.

00:02:43.160 Or at least that's what we're told.

00:02:44.940 But we see a very different approach when it comes to other symbols.

00:02:48.300 People today like to paint pride flags onto sidewalks or onto roadways, crosswalks, where

00:02:55.680 people walk across and cars drive across on a regular basis.

00:02:59.960 Cities now love to do this.

00:03:02.500 But if someone drives across these crosswalks and leaves a tire mark, they can be investigated

00:03:08.540 for a hate crime.

00:03:09.780 All of a sudden, it turns out that that symbol really means something.

00:03:14.060 It's tied to a specific group of people.

00:03:16.400 And desecrating it is a direct attack on them and their existence.

00:03:20.480 All of a sudden, that symbol is sacred.

00:03:23.400 And your desecration of it matters.

00:03:26.780 It's funny how quickly those things can turn around.

00:03:30.620 Now, of course, we're in the middle of Pride Month, American Ramadan. 0.94

00:03:34.260 And at the beginning of this Pride Month, it looked like things might be a little different.

00:03:39.080 A lot of corporations, after watching what happened to Bud Light and Target with boycotts,

00:03:45.120 decided that maybe they should sit this one out or dial it back a little bit.

00:03:48.720 And they didn't rainbow everything quite as much.

00:03:50.840 They didn't push the merchandise.

00:03:52.220 They didn't do the big, huge statements of loyalty as much as usual.

00:03:56.500 I mean, don't get me wrong.

00:03:57.280 There's still plenty of that.

00:03:58.500 But it was noticeable that it was a little toned down, at least at the beginning.

00:04:02.080 But it was interesting that there were two types of organizations that weren't toning

00:04:05.880 it down.

00:04:06.700 First were those that targeted children, companies like Sesame Street, Peppa Pig, Play-Doh, Little

00:04:13.740 League.

00:04:14.460 These organizations all had Pride messaging out front.

00:04:18.480 But another interesting organization that didn't avoid Pride Month messaging was the American

00:04:23.280 government.

00:04:24.480 The DOD had this stuff plastered everywhere.

00:04:28.160 The FBI, the CIA.

00:04:29.540 All of these organizations flying Pride flags.

00:04:33.340 Very interestingly, the Air Force put out a silhouette of a female airman saluting the

00:04:39.660 Pride flag.

00:04:41.160 Now, why would they be saluting the Pride flag, you might ask?

00:04:44.720 What could that possibly mean?

00:04:46.700 That the United States military is honoring a flag that is not the flag of my country, or

00:04:52.000 at least it wasn't.

00:04:53.580 Now, a lot of people look at that kind of language from someone like me and say, well, that's

00:04:58.440 hyperbolic. 0.99

00:04:59.160 That's ridiculous, of course. 0.75

00:05:01.460 No one would ever actually replace the American flag with something like the Pride flag.

00:05:07.420 It doesn't really mean anything significant.

00:05:11.040 It's not really something that conveys values and orientation towards a particular understanding

00:05:18.620 of the good.

00:05:19.260 But then, last week, we saw that that wasn't true at all, because Joe Biden delivered a speech

00:05:27.060 at the White House talking about how important, of course, Pride is to America.

00:05:33.000 And the flag that was given the position of primacy over the White House, where the executive

00:05:38.600 who leads the United States and its military resides, was not the American flag, or at least

00:05:45.900 not what used to be the American flag.

00:05:48.920 Instead, it's what's now called the progress flag, the pride flag.

00:05:53.280 That's what hung in the middle.

00:05:55.620 That's what was given the place of honor.

00:05:58.720 You'll notice in this picture that it sits over the presidential seal.

00:06:04.180 That means something.

00:06:05.980 That's conveying something true, whether the people who are looking at it would like to

00:06:10.840 lie about it or not.

00:06:11.860 Now, plenty of conservatives jumped online and rightly pointed out that this violates

00:06:17.360 the U.S. flag code.

00:06:19.260 The pride flag is not supposed to be placed in a position of primacy. 0.63

00:06:22.220 It's not supposed to be equal to or above U.S. flags.

00:06:25.700 And it's certainly not supposed to be dead center behind the president and above his seal.

00:06:30.940 But, of course, that's exactly where it was.

00:06:33.180 And, of course, that placement was entirely intentional.

00:06:36.680 It means something.

00:06:38.120 It was supposed to mean something.

00:06:40.300 The people who put it there weren't confused about what they were doing.

00:06:44.240 All right, guys, I need to talk to you about today's sponsor, Noble Gold.

00:06:48.220 Now, you may have noticed that things are a little unstable out there, and you might be

00:06:51.600 looking for something that can protect your investments.

00:06:54.620 You can reign in wealth like King Charles with a gold IRA from Noble Gold Investments.

00:06:59.820 Just as King Charles' magnificent crown symbolized wealth and power, a gold IRA can fortify your

00:07:05.720 own financial kingdom.

00:07:06.820 Imagine the confidence that comes from a retirement backed by a tangible proven asset, gold, an

00:07:12.940 asset that's not at the mercy of unpredictable market swings.

00:07:16.560 A crown may not be included, but isn't a future free of financial stress, a worthy throne?

00:07:22.060 Like royalty, enjoy the luxury of choice.

00:07:24.840 Gold, silver, platinum, or palladium, the realm is yours to command.

00:07:29.680 Fend off concerns about economic downturns and let your wealth thrive with the timeless

00:07:33.880 security of precious metals.

00:07:35.400 This month, the first solid quarter ounce gold standard bullion coin ever issued with

00:07:40.520 Charles III's image can be yours with your own qualified gold IRA or 401k rollover of $50,000

00:07:47.780 or higher.

00:07:49.000 You can't go wrong with Noble Gold Investments.

00:07:51.480 Call Noble Gold Investment at 877-646-5347 to get started or visit McIntyreGold.com.

00:08:00.180 That's McIntyreGold.com.

00:08:02.740 Now, during that speech, of course, Joe Biden talked about the importance of pride.

00:08:08.300 He specifically talked about, again, how trans children are the soul of our country and need

00:08:14.120 to be protected.

00:08:14.900 Very interesting, isn't it?

00:08:16.440 How this didn't exist before.

00:08:18.840 Just a few months ago, we were told, you know, six months ago, a year ago, that these procedures

00:08:25.100 don't happen to children, that this stuff wasn't targeted at children, that they would

00:08:30.460 never, ever take this propaganda and force it onto kids.

00:08:34.720 Now, not only is it very obvious because we have all of the receipts from like libs of

00:08:39.500 TikTok and Chris Ruffo and all these other sources, just anyone with a cell phone camera

00:08:43.980 at this point can capture what's really going on, not only do we know that's happening, but

00:08:49.220 now the president of the United States, the chief executive, routinely goes out and defends

00:08:55.280 this stuff.

00:08:55.840 And not only defends this stuff, it says it is the goal of the United States to advance

00:09:01.320 this stuff.

00:09:03.100 And so, of course, it was a lie from the very minute it was said that this was not about

00:09:07.480 kids.

00:09:07.800 This was not about pushing it onto kids.

00:09:09.460 It was always about that.

00:09:10.600 Joe Biden declared us a nation of pride.

00:09:14.660 Think about that for a second.

00:09:16.760 A nation of this, the celebration of this lifestyle, the celebration of this being done to children.

00:09:24.260 The president of the United States, with this flag flying over his seal, replacing the American

00:09:30.980 flag, says this is who we are now.

00:09:34.000 This is what we are as a country.

00:09:35.640 This is what we stand for.

00:09:37.440 This is what the federal government is going to fight for.

00:09:39.660 This is America now.

00:09:42.080 It's really hard to ignore what this means.

00:09:44.660 It's really hard to ignore what's being communicated with this symbol.

00:09:49.000 Of course, you're going to have the MSNBCs and the CNNs and the New York Times talking about 0.94

00:09:54.640 how Republicans are being crazy. 1.00

00:09:56.900 Conservatives are being crazy. 0.99

00:09:58.440 The right wing, once again, scaremongering about this stuff. 0.99

00:10:01.640 But it's really obvious.

00:10:03.200 It's comically obvious what's being advanced here.

00:10:07.560 And this tactic of screaming, why are you complaining about this thing, while pushing it relentlessly

00:10:13.200 at every opportunity, eventually breaks.

00:10:16.640 Eventually, what's happening becomes too clear.

00:10:19.980 That this is what they want America to be.

00:10:23.260 That this is actively what America is being transformed into.

00:10:26.500 What's better than a well-marbled ribeye sizzling on the barbecue?

00:10:31.080 A well-marbled ribeye sizzling on the barbecue that was carefully selected by an Instacart

00:10:35.800 shopper and delivered to your door.

00:10:37.800 A well-marbled ribeye you ordered without even leaving the kiddie pool.

00:10:42.280 Whatever groceries your summer calls for, Instacart has you covered.

00:10:46.420 Download the Instacart app and enjoy $0 delivery fees on your first three orders.

00:10:50.780 Service fees, exclusions, and terms apply.

00:10:54.000 Instacart, groceries that over-deliver.

00:10:56.880 This is not the flag of the American nation.

00:11:00.700 This is the flag of the global American empire, which is wearing the historical American nation

00:11:07.600 like a skin suit to advance its goals, its agenda.

00:11:12.280 And we see this routinely.

00:11:14.880 We're told this is now what America fights for when it's fighting overseas.

00:11:19.080 We used to at least get to pretend it was democracy.

00:11:21.520 Some form of actual freedom.

00:11:24.460 But now we're told that it's LGBTQ rights.

00:11:28.300 This is what America sends troops to fight for.

00:11:31.200 And obviously the fact that they're posting a military member saluting that flag means that

00:11:37.660 that's exactly what they believe now.

00:11:39.640 That's exactly what they're communicating.

00:11:41.900 This is a flag of conquest.

00:11:43.540 This is a flag meant to be flown to show that there's something else that is higher than

00:11:51.080 America, that is different and better than the American identity. 0.92

00:11:56.760 As this flag was being flown, the statue of a Revolutionary War soldier was being pulled

00:12:03.580 down because, you guessed it, an attachment to slavery.

00:12:06.180 But we can see the iconoclasm happening here.

00:12:08.500 In every instance, we were told this would just stop with Confederate statues, right?

00:12:14.020 Even Republicans started saying, oh, well, of course, we should take down the Confederate

00:12:17.660 statues. 0.98

00:12:18.500 They're traitors.

00:12:19.660 And so conservatives got on board with moving these statues to museums, or that's what we 0.58

00:12:24.360 were told it's going to happen.

00:12:25.360 Let's get real.

00:12:26.160 Most of them probably just got torn down and thrown away after being desecrated.

00:12:29.900 But we were told that this was just about getting rid of the Confederacy, this connection to

00:12:35.000 slavery, right?

00:12:35.880 This backwards time in our history filled with people who fought against the United States 1.00

00:12:41.100 just so they could own people.

00:12:43.140 That was the cartoonish representation of what was happening.

00:12:47.920 But many people warned that it would not stop here, that this would continue unabated until

00:12:52.660 every part of America had been replaced, every part of American identity.

00:12:57.400 And again, we see this over and over again, right?

00:12:59.220 This is what happened with the censorship of somebody like Alex Jones.

00:13:04.080 Maybe you don't like Alex Jones.

00:13:05.640 Maybe you don't think Alex Jones should have had a platform.

00:13:08.300 But the removal of Alex Jones meant that the next person would be easier and the next one

00:13:13.580 and the next one until it became impossible to talk about things that were entirely true

00:13:17.760 about things like a pandemic or about riots that were happening or elections that were

00:13:23.100 happening in the United States because censorship was now fine and you removed anybody you

00:13:28.660 wanted at any time.

00:13:29.980 This is the same tactic here when it came to America's history.

00:13:33.960 Just shave off a little bit of the history.

00:13:35.800 It'll be fine.

00:13:36.720 It's no big deal.

00:13:37.860 It's not really going to matter.

00:13:39.180 These were bad people anyway.

00:13:40.680 We'll just get rid of them.

00:13:42.000 And then the next thing.

00:13:42.980 And then the next thing.

00:13:44.300 They've already talked about they're getting rid of Abraham Lincoln.

00:13:46.600 They're getting they're canceling all of these founding fathers, revolutionary war heroes who

00:13:53.660 happen to have any distant connection to slavery.

00:13:56.940 It didn't you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out what was going to come next.

00:14:00.980 And now we get the full realization of that project.

00:14:04.200 The 1619 project on full display.

00:14:07.160 The American flag is replaced by the new flag, the flag of progress, the flag that's actually

00:14:13.920 supposed to represent what America is going to be about going forward.

00:14:18.580 People need to understand that these symbols mean something to the left, too.

00:14:23.480 They're done pretending for the most part.

00:14:26.360 Don't get me wrong.

00:14:26.920 They'll still do this two step, right?

00:14:29.580 They'll still say, oh, how could you really care about this?

00:14:32.040 How could this really matter to you?

00:14:33.400 How could a piece of cloth really mean anything to you at all?

00:14:37.160 But of course, you know, they're lying.

00:14:38.980 You know, they're lying because the minute something happens to their symbol, they react

00:14:43.580 as if it's sacred, because of course it is.

00:14:45.980 These symbols do mean something.

00:14:47.760 They do stand for something.

00:14:49.720 And we have to understand that when the United States is replacing its flag with a different

00:14:56.400 flag, you don't, again, have to really be a rocket scientist to understand what happens

00:15:02.860 after that.

00:15:04.260 This is a separation of the government from the American nation.

00:15:09.580 This is a separation of the military.

00:15:11.920 This is a separation of the state security apparatus.

00:15:15.000 This is a removal of the American identity from the loyalty of all of those organizations.

00:15:21.760 And that's a really scary place to be, because the only reason to separate those organizations

00:15:29.740 from the people is because at some point you plan to use them against those people.

00:15:36.720 You're making them loyal to something separate, not America, not the nation, not the people,

00:15:43.100 but an empire.

00:15:44.440 An empire that flies a very different flag and has a very different set of values.

00:15:49.080 And when your state security apparatus and your military is loyal to that and not to the

00:15:55.100 historic American nation, nothing good follows.
