Summary

Trump has launched his second presidential term with a flood-the-zone strategy designed to overwhelm the left before it can mount a response. The real estate mogul, aware of how a hostile media and entrenched Washington bureaucracy hindered his first term, is using the overwhelming mandate he received from voters to build early momentum. Among Trump s many promises, none mattered more to his supporters than swift and substantive action on immigration.

00:00:30.000 Donald Trump has launched his second presidential term
00:00:33.500 with a flood-the-zone strategy designed to overwhelm the left
00:00:36.920 before it can mount a response.
00:00:39.360 The real estate mogul, aware of how a hostile media
00:00:42.660 and entrenched Washington bureaucracy hindered his first term,
00:00:46.120 is using the overwhelming mandate he received from voters
00:00:49.060 to build early momentum.
00:00:51.380 Among Trump's many promises, none mattered more to his supporters
00:00:55.260 than swift and substantive action on immigration.
00:00:58.480 His first-week strategy shows that he took that commitment seriously.
00:01:03.720 In just seven days, Immigration and Custom Enforcement conducted nationwide raids,
00:01:09.260 arresting thousands of illegal immigrants.
00:01:11.860 Authorities prioritized the most dangerous offenders,
00:01:14.560 ensuring gang members, drug traffickers, and child predators were swiftly removed.
00:01:19.220 The speed of these removals raises one clear question.
00:01:22.720 Was the Biden administration allowing violent illegal aliens to terrorize American citizens on purpose?
00:01:29.220 With Tom Homan serving as border czar,
00:01:33.100 both ICE and the Drug Enforcement Agency launched coordinated raids in major cities,
00:01:38.360 including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Miami, and Atlanta.
00:01:45.400 Agents entered immigration law offices and targeted sanctuary cities like San Francisco.
00:01:51.100 Homan has made it clear that he will not hesitate to raid schools, churches, and hospitals
00:01:56.520 if they are found harboring illegal immigrants who pose a threat to public safety.
00:02:01.280 As Homan recently told an ABC reporter,
00:02:04.080 if you're in the country illegally, you're on the table.
00:02:07.260 Some of Trump's critics on the right argue that despite the thousands of arrests in his first week,
00:02:12.640 the pace of deportation remains too slow to remove the estimated 20 to 30 million illegal immigrants
00:02:18.900 in the United States within the first term.
00:02:21.780 However, this critique overlooks several key factors.
00:02:25.740 First, this is only Trump's first week in office,
00:02:29.320 and many of his key personnel are still awaiting Senate confirmation.
00:02:33.960 Mass deportations require extensive logistical coordination,
00:02:37.280 which can't be fully implemented until the executive branch is firmly under his control.
00:02:42.640 Given that reality, the scale of his administration's initial enforcement efforts is already remarkable.
00:02:49.540 Another flawed assumption is that all illegal immigrants should be rounded up and simultaneously deported.
00:02:55.780 Trump's team recognizes that foreign governments will resist accepting thousands,
00:03:00.780 if not millions, of their least desirable citizens.
00:03:03.960 Mexican President Claudia Schimbom has already voiced opposition to the more than 4,000 deportations
00:03:11.240 to her own country in Trump's first week.
00:03:14.020 Colombian President Gustavo Petro initially refused to accept deportees until Trump threatened tariffs and visa restrictions.
00:03:22.080 Petro quickly relented, even offering his presidential jet for deportation flights.
00:03:27.540 Rushing to detain millions of illegal immigrants without securing cooperation from their home countries
00:03:32.560 would have been a strategic mistake.
00:03:34.360 It would have forced the administration to hold them in detention facilities,
00:03:38.600 giving the left time to obstruct the process and fueling media narratives about concentration camps or kids in cages.
00:03:46.820 By targeting and deporting the most dangerous offenders first,
00:03:50.020 Trump immediately improved public safety while also testing the resolve of foreign leaders.
00:03:55.300 With that precedent established,
00:03:57.140 Homan and his team can now accelerate efforts to remove millions more.
00:04:01.340 The final flawed assumption in the deportation math is that the administration must physically remove
00:04:08.380 all 20 to 30 million illegal immigrants.
00:04:11.180 That was just never the plan.
00:04:13.180 Illegal immigration is largely incentivized by the government,
00:04:16.640 corporations, and progressive NGOs that profit from it.
00:04:20.160 The journey itself is expensive and dangerous.
00:04:22.660 Many migrants spend their life savings to make the trip,
00:04:25.480 while women and children are often suffering sexual abuse.
00:04:28.480 Most illegal immigrants come because they expect an easy entry,
00:04:32.600 government benefits, and protection from deportation.
00:04:36.200 If the Trump administration continues ramping up deportations,
00:04:40.100 while cracking down on illegal employment and welfare,
00:04:43.880 many will just self-deport.
00:04:46.080 As opportunities disappear and their friends and family are sent home,
00:04:50.080 staying in the United States will become less appealing.
00:04:53.020 Trump's aggressive start also exposes the corruption of previous administrations.
00:04:59.140 Without passing a single new law or securing additional funding,
00:05:03.180 he's already deported over a thousand of the most dangerous criminals.
00:05:07.800 The ease with which these violent offenders were removed
00:05:10.900 suggests that the Biden administration allowed them to stay on purpose.
00:05:15.820 Democrats enabled mass illegal immigration for political gain.
00:05:19.760 They knew that drug dealers, murderers, and sex offenders were here,
00:05:24.520 yet they did nothing.
00:05:26.120 Progressives effectively weaponized these criminals,
00:05:29.380 using them as instruments of a narco-tyranny against the American people.
00:05:34.420 Both Republican and Democratic administrations let immigration reach a crisis level.
00:05:41.120 Past presidents had the authority to act, but lacked the will.
00:05:44.820 Democrats facilitated what amounted to a foreign invasion,
00:05:49.100 with Joe Biden lying repeatedly about how he just didn't have the power necessary to shut down the border,
00:05:54.800 when, in truth, he had it all the time.
00:05:58.080 Republicans, on the other hand, were at best total cowards
00:06:01.560 who feared a backlash from hostile media.
00:06:05.100 And at worst, and I want to be clear, this is the far more likely scenario,
00:06:09.560 the Republicans were complicit with the invasion,
00:06:12.780 using it to line the pockets of their donor class
00:06:15.520 while throwing up some kind of performative opposition,
00:06:18.580 all the time betraying their voters.
00:06:21.560 With a single show of strength,
00:06:24.240 Trump demonstrated how easily foreign governments could be forced to comply,
00:06:29.340 and how swiftly the worst offenders could be expelled.
00:06:33.600 Much work remains, and scaling up full mass deportations presents logistical challenges,
00:06:40.160 but the early results are promising.
00:06:41.920 Trump deserves a lot of credit for his bold start,
00:06:46.380 and must stay committed to his promise of removing most, if not all, illegal immigrants from this country.
00:06:53.440 While Democrats are in retreat for now, they won't stay that way forever.
00:06:58.760 Trump's enormous win and his aggressive strategy early on has put them on the back foot,
00:07:05.000 but these people are ultimately committed to the destruction of the United States.
00:07:10.520 Eventually, they will wake up, and they will find their voices again.
00:07:15.340 The Trump administration should accelerate deportations before progressives can regroup and mount a resistance,
00:07:22.520 and they should codify these changes as much as possible into legislation
00:07:27.100 to make it difficult for the next Democratic president to undo everything that Trump has done.
