The Ben Shapiro Show - As The Cities Burn | Ep. 1080

00:00:00.000 After another disputed police shooting of a black man in Wisconsin, more cities burn.

00:00:04.000 The RNC begins its big rollout tonight, and Joe Biden suggests he might lock down the entire American economy again over COVID.

00:00:10.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.

00:00:11.000 This is the Ben Shapiro Show.

00:00:21.000 Don't like the government spying on you?

00:00:22.000 Then visit expressvpn.com slash Ben to stay anonymous.

00:00:26.000 Well, there are actual serious things happening in the world.

00:00:28.000 The good news is that many in the media are focusing on, you know, the White House Rose Garden or Kellyanne Conway's marriage.

00:00:34.000 We'll get to all of that a little bit later on in the program.

00:00:36.000 But we begin today with another disputed police shooting.

00:00:39.000 This one in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

00:00:41.000 This is receiving all sorts of attention because, again, there's video footage of a fragment of the actual shooting incident.

00:00:48.000 What you will see here is disturbing, so there is your warning.

00:00:51.000 What you see here is a black man. 0.82

00:00:53.000 His name is Jacob.

00:00:57.000 His name, according to CNN, is... I guess they're now releasing it, so I was a little hesitant about saying it.

00:01:04.000 So, Jacob Blake is the man's name.

00:01:07.000 What you can see in this particular case is Jacob Blake walking away from the police officers who are telling him to stop.

00:01:12.000 They have their police weapons drawn on him as he is walking away.

00:01:15.000 He walks over to his car.

00:01:17.000 It is unclear whether he has something in his hand or if he doesn't have something in his hand.

00:01:20.000 It is unclear whether there is something in the car, whether there isn't something in the car.

00:01:24.000 And then they shoot him when he reaches into the car.

00:01:26.000 He's completely ignoring them as all of this goes on.

00:01:28.000 He's been shot either seven or nine times by various accounts.

00:01:32.000 And he is now in, I believe, serious condition, so he is still alive.

00:01:36.000 This led off a series of riots last night in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

00:01:40.000 Now, here's the thing.

00:01:41.000 We literally don't know what happened here.

00:01:43.000 Okay?

00:01:44.000 All you know is what's on the tape. 0.79

00:01:45.000 All you know is that there's some white police officers there following this black man who's walking away from them. 0.58

00:01:49.000 They have their guns drawn.

00:01:50.000 They have no idea why their guns are drawn.

00:01:52.000 We have no idea what happened immediately previous to this.

00:01:55.000 We have heard an account that he was breaking up some sort of fight between two women, but we literally have no confirmation of this.

00:02:00.000 We don't know whether that is true.

00:02:01.000 The only thing that we know in this particular case is what is on the tape and what is already on record.

00:02:06.000 We know that what is on record is that he has a history of assaulting police.

00:02:09.000 He also has past charges for domestic abuse and sex crime as well, and there's a warrant for his arrest.

00:02:14.000 That is what we know documentarily, okay?

00:02:17.000 That doesn't mean that the shooting is good.

00:02:19.000 It doesn't mean that the shooting is bad.

00:02:20.000 I'm just telling you what we know at this point.

00:02:21.000 What we don't know is whether he was reaching for a gun.

00:02:24.000 We don't know what's in the car.

00:02:25.000 We don't know anything.

00:02:26.000 So the responsible position would be, in this particular case, you hold off on judgment.

00:02:31.000 Maybe it's a bad shooting.

00:02:32.000 Maybe it's not a bad shooting.

00:02:33.000 Maybe it was racially driven, although we literally have no evidence of that.

00:02:36.000 Maybe it's not racially driven.

00:02:37.000 We do not know what happened here, right?

00:02:40.000 That would be the responsible play here by the media.

00:02:42.000 That would be the responsible play here by your political class. 1.00

00:02:45.000 Unfortunately, Responsibility matters not on Twitter, and it matters not in American public life anymore.

00:02:51.000 Instead, everybody immediately jumps to their pre-existing biases, and that is particularly true on the BLM left, which has decided that this is yet another example of an unarmed black man being shot for no reason at all by the police for racial reasons.

00:03:04.000 And our politicians are simply repeating this, and so are our media.

00:03:07.000 The headline from CNN today, Wisconsin police shoot black men as children watch from a car, attorney says.

00:03:14.000 Okay, so we're now just taking at face value what the attorney says with no additional evidence provided by the cops.

00:03:20.000 The cops have not provided an account of what has happened as of yet at this hour.

00:03:24.000 According to CNN, two Wisconsin police officers were on leave Monday as state authorities investigate why a black man was shot multiple times in the back as he entered, the driver's side door of an SUV, officials said.

00:03:34.000 Among the witnesses to the Sunday evening shooting in Kenosha were the man's three sons, Attorney Ben Crump and the American Civil Liberties Union said the man identified by the Wisconsin governor as Jacob Blake.

00:03:42.000 is in serious condition and fighting for his life.

00:03:45.000 Crump posted a short video of the shooting, garnering almost 700,000 views, sparking protests that led county officials to institute a curfew until 7 a.m.

00:03:52.000 That'd be 6 a.m.

00:03:53.000 Eastern Time on Monday.

00:03:55.000 Protesters overnight broke windows and sprayed graffiti at a Kenosha County administrative building and torched vehicles at a nearby auto dealership.

00:04:01.000 By the way, the torching of the vehicles at the auto dealership was somewhat ironic, considering that the auto dealership literally had a giant sign out front that said Black Lives Matter.

00:04:09.000 Didn't matter, they torched the vehicles anyway.

00:04:12.000 I mean, you can see the video of it.

00:04:13.000 It's incredible.

00:04:14.000 I mean, these cars are being burned.

00:04:16.000 I don't know if the cars had anything to do with anything.

00:04:18.000 Apparently nothing.

00:04:19.000 But they were being burned.

00:04:21.000 And right outside, there's a big sign that says, Black Lives Matter.

00:04:26.000 So that's exciting stuff happening over in Wisconsin.

00:04:30.000 A fire was started at the county courthouse.

00:04:32.000 Officers in tactical gear formed a line to protect a public safety building, according to the local WISN CNN affiliate.

00:04:38.000 Kenosha is about 40 minutes south of Milwaukee.

00:04:41.000 We also have tape of, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, we have tape of some BLM allies, maybe Antifa members, because the guy's white, who walks up literally to a sheriff's vehicle with a long gun drawn pointing at the sheriff.

00:04:59.000 They literally are pointing weapons at a sheriff's vehicle.

00:05:06.000 And everything is going really well.

00:05:08.000 Everything is going really, really well.

00:05:10.000 And naturally, this would be a good time for our political class, you know, maybe take the temperature down a little bit.

00:05:14.000 Wouldn't this be a good time for our public leaders to say things like, this is under full investigation.

00:05:19.000 The police officers have been taken off duty.

00:05:20.000 Why don't we investigate the incident and find out what happened here?

00:05:23.000 Wouldn't that be a good time to say, let's let the process work?

00:05:26.000 Every single officer involved shooting in the United States is fully investigated.

00:05:30.000 That does not mean there are not incidents where officers go unpunished for things they should be punished for.

00:05:34.000 That does happen.

00:05:35.000 Okay, but we have no evidence that's going to happen here.

00:05:38.000 We have no evidence of what exactly happened here.

00:05:41.000 And if you are the head of your state's law enforcement body, right, let's say you're the governor of the state, wouldn't you say at this point, you're the head of the executive branch, wouldn't you say at this point, let's wait for the process to work?

00:05:51.000 But no, our politicians have decided there's much more hay to be made in suggesting openly that this is a racially driven, bad police shooting.

00:05:59.000 Based on no evidence whatsoever yet.

00:06:01.000 Right, just based on that fragmentary tape.

00:06:04.000 Police said they were called to respond to a domestic disturbance.

00:06:07.000 It is unclear who called 911 or what happened before the recording begins.

00:06:11.000 It's not clear from the video if both of the officers opened fire.

00:06:13.000 There are two officers.

00:06:14.000 The second officer has his gun out as the shots are heard.

00:06:17.000 All officers are cooperating.

00:06:18.000 Neither officer has been identified.

00:06:21.000 DCI, which is the Department of Internal Affairs over there, is continuing to review evidence and determine the facts of this incident and will turn over investigative reports to a prosecutor following a complete and thorough investigation, the statement said.

00:06:32.000 Hey, so what did our wonderful members of the political class do here?

00:06:37.000 Instead of taking down the temperature, and it does matter if you take down the temperature here, because we have seen situations already, like within the last couple of weeks, in which bad accounts of police shootings went viral and caused actual riots, right?

00:06:48.000 The Chicago Loop riots were caused by online rumors that a child had been shot unarmed by a police officer.

00:06:55.000 It turned out not to be true at all.

00:06:57.000 It turned out that there was a man shooting at police officers who was shot.

00:06:59.000 Didn't matter.

00:07:00.000 People went rioting in the Chicago Loop.

00:07:02.000 By the way, rioting is not justified even if there's a bad shooting.

00:07:05.000 We have answers for that in this country.

00:07:07.000 That is called the police officer goes to jail.

00:07:09.000 That is called the police officer is dragged up on charges, as they should be if you do something wrong.

00:07:14.000 The answer to this is never burning crap in the streets, but our political class, at least on the left, have decided it is mostly important that they get their spilkas out on Twitter, that they go out there and they show their narrative Their narrative empathy on Twitter.

00:07:30.000 And if you don't jump to a conclusion on Twitter, you're considered bad, right?

00:07:33.000 If you wait too long.

00:07:34.000 If you wait too long, then you're... If you say, maybe we should wait for the evidence and then I'll say that this fits into a pattern of X, Y, or Z, then you are considered bad and wrong and terrible.

00:07:43.000 Our political incentive system rewards people who jump out front and back a narrative before the evidence is in.

00:07:49.000 And then what if the evidence doesn't back it?

00:07:50.000 We just ignore it.

00:07:51.000 It just goes away.

00:07:52.000 We just rewrite the situation, the factual situation, in order to meet the narrative.

00:07:55.000 This is what happened with Michael Brown.

00:07:56.000 People still list Michael Brown among quote-unquote victims of police shootings despite the fact that the Obama DOJ found that shooting to be justified, despite the fact that local prosecutors twice found that shooting to be justified.

00:08:06.000 Michael Brown, in all the lists, is always included in the lists.

00:08:10.000 Freddie Gray is always included in the list of wrongful police killings, despite the fact that there was a full investigation into Freddie Gray's death and he was not actually murdered by the police.

00:08:18.000 He died because they didn't buckle him into the back of the police van properly, and then he banged his head, unfortunately, on the back of the police van, right?

00:08:25.000 That is the actual autopsy showing.

00:08:27.000 There was a full investigation done.

00:08:29.000 All of it.

00:08:30.000 Rayshard Brooks is listed among the victims of police violence, even though he tried to tase two separate officers and was firing a taser at an officer when he was shot.

00:08:40.000 The individual facts of the circumstances don't matter.

00:08:42.000 They don't matter at all.

00:08:43.000 Only the narrative matters.

00:08:45.000 And once the narrative has been set, then the victims and the villains have been drawn, and then we just change up the narrative.

00:08:52.000 We just change up the facts in order to match the narrative.

00:08:54.000 We're gonna see this in just one second.

00:08:56.000 And it really is egregious.

00:08:58.000 It's creating excuses for people to burn cities, which is...

00:09:01.000 Terrible, and if you're a member of the political class, it is literally your job to prevent this from happening.

00:09:05.000 It is the only reason that you are in government, is to prevent people from doing violence to one another and violating each other's rights.

00:09:09.000 That is your only reason for being in government.

00:09:12.000 And yet your suggestion is that riots are somehow justified because America is a deeply horrible, terrible, very evil place with no evidence yet in this case.

00:09:20.000 By the way, we still don't know if Derek Chauvin murdered George Floyd.

00:09:20.000 None.

00:09:25.000 First of all, whether he murdered him and the autopsies are conflicting, but we still don't know whether that had anything to do with race.

00:09:29.000 There is no evidence it had to do with race rather than just police brutality.

00:09:33.000 It doesn't matter, the nerve's already been set.

00:09:35.000 And once the narrative is set, it cannot be unset.

00:09:37.000 We're gonna get to more of this in just one second.

00:09:38.000 First, let's talk about the fact that the 2020 election is about turnout.

00:09:43.000 Our opponents have their get-out-the-vote machine.

00:09:45.000 Good thing is that conservatives have one too.

00:09:47.000 I'm supporting a massive get-out-the-vote effort of our own, sponsored by my friends over at Job Creators Network.

00:09:53.000 Here's how it works.

00:09:53.000 You go to 10for20.com, you take the 10 for 20 pledge, you'll receive a link that'll give you the most trusted voting information and tools you can use to join the largest conservative get-out-the-vote effort ever.

00:10:03.000 You'll be contacted by email and asked to send a link and message to 10 people you know who care about America.

00:10:08.000 Family and neighbors, church and work friends.

00:10:10.000 They make sure they sign the pledge and get the information they need to vote in person or by mail.

00:10:15.000 The fact is, the turnout in this election is going to matter an awful lot.

00:10:18.000 Folks on the left are spending an incredible amount of money to ensure that their turnout is very high in this election.

00:10:22.000 We need a conservative get-out-the-vote effort and that is what 10for20.com is.

00:10:26.000 Go to 10420.com.

00:10:28.000 Take the pledge right now.

00:10:29.000 Don't let our political opponents outwork us.

00:10:30.000 Do your part.

00:10:31.000 Go to 10420.com now.

00:10:33.000 That is the number 10.

00:10:34.000 F-O-R. 1.00

00:10:35.000 The number 20.com.

00:10:36.000 10-4-20-dot-com.

00:10:38.000 Go check them out right now.

00:10:39.000 10-4-20-dot-com.

00:10:40.000 Get involved in boosting the get-out-the-vote effort for conservatives.

00:10:44.000 Okay, so.

00:10:45.000 How do our absolutely responsible politicians respond to all of this?

00:10:49.000 In the least responsible possible way.

00:10:51.000 And truly, it's disgusting.

00:10:52.000 When you have public officials who are backing a narrative without the evidence in, it's horrifying.

00:10:57.000 So Governor Tony Evers, who is the governor of the state of Wisconsin, right?

00:11:00.000 He's the governor where this happened.

00:11:02.000 Here's what he said.

00:11:03.000 He says, while we do not have all the details yet, what we know for certain is that he is not the first black man or person to have been shot or injured or mercilessly killed at the hands of individuals in law enforcement in our state or our country.

00:11:15.000 Do you understand how deeply horrifying that statement is from a politician?

00:11:20.000 While we don't know anything about this shooting, we do know that all of these terrible things have happened in the past.

00:11:26.000 What?

00:11:28.000 I mean, seriously, what?

00:11:29.000 So, you have a situation where you don't know whether a murder occurred or whether a justified shooting occurred, and you just lump it in with all of the racial murders of the past in the United States. 0.53

00:11:38.000 Without any evidence in yet.

00:11:39.000 Without any investigation yet.

00:11:40.000 Without any knowledge of who the officer is.

00:11:42.000 Without any discussion of who the suspect is.

00:11:44.000 Without any discussion of the situation surrounding the officer and the suspect.

00:11:47.000 That's just how it- that is the only thing that we know.

00:11:52.000 Right, is that we know that America is a deeply horrible racist place.

00:11:54.000 It's not just the governor of the state.

00:11:56.000 It is his responsibility to keep his state from burning.

00:11:59.000 It is his responsibility.

00:12:00.000 And he has completely betrayed that responsibility.

00:12:03.000 It's not just him.

00:12:04.000 It's politicians across the democratic spectrum.

00:12:08.000 Jamal Bowman, who just won a contested primary in New York.

00:12:11.000 He just beat Eliot Engel.

00:12:12.000 So he's going to enter Congress.

00:12:13.000 That's a very Democratic district.

00:12:15.000 He tweeted out, three boys just saw their father shot seven times in the back by police.

00:12:19.000 No gun, no struggle.

00:12:21.000 He was just walking away, praying for Jacob Blake to make a speedy and full recovery.

00:12:25.000 The issue is systemic.

00:12:27.000 The Senate needs to respond boldly and humanely.

00:12:29.000 This is why we scream BLM.

00:12:32.000 No gun, no struggle.

00:12:33.000 How do you know that?

00:12:34.000 How does he know?

00:12:35.000 Like, seriously, how do we know?

00:12:36.000 We don't know yet.

00:12:37.000 Maybe that's true.

00:12:38.000 Maybe that's not.

00:12:39.000 I don't know.

00:12:40.000 He doesn't know.

00:12:40.000 It does not matter.

00:12:42.000 I mean, it literally does not matter.

00:12:43.000 If it turns out there was a gun in the car and this guy was reaching for the gun in the car, they'll just say, well, they didn't know there was a gun in the car, so why did they shoot him?

00:12:50.000 Why didn't they tackle him?

00:12:50.000 Why didn't they tase him?

00:12:52.000 All of our newfound police experts who have put their lives on the line to protect our communities, 0%.

00:12:56.000 It's very exciting stuff to watch our politicians virtue signal at the expense of police officers without any evidence.

00:13:03.000 Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who has watched her city burn The same Mayor Lori Lightfoot, by the way, who recently defended a ban on protesters on her block. 1.00

00:13:13.000 She literally was fine with Chicago's Loop being burned out, but she has allowed the Chicago Police Department to ban protesters being able to demonstrate on the block where she lives.

00:13:22.000 She told reporters last Thursday she and her family at times required heightened security because of the threats she receives daily.

00:13:29.000 Lightfoot refused to elaborate on the specific threats.

00:13:31.000 She receives them daily against herself, her wife, and her home, she says.

00:13:34.000 She says, I think residents of this city, understanding the nature of the threats that we are receiving on a daily basis, understand I have a right to make sure that my home is secure.

00:13:41.000 Oh, really, Lori Lightfoot.

00:13:44.000 So you have a right to expect that your home is secure.

00:13:47.000 But nobody else's home is secure.

00:13:48.000 Just you.

00:13:49.000 Just you.

00:13:49.000 We had the same thing with Jenny Durkin, the mayor of Seattle.

00:13:52.000 In the middle of Chas Chop and they set up this separate republic in the middle of Seattle where people's businesses were overrun by an actual anti-government, anti-American rebellion? 0.75

00:14:01.000 And she allowed that to happen for weeks on end?

00:14:04.000 She only got pissed when people started marching on her home. 1.00

00:14:08.000 In Portland, we've seen Mayor Ted Wheeler allow people's businesses, their homes, to be threatened.

00:14:13.000 We're seeing it in Washington, D.C.

00:14:15.000 We're seeing it in New York.

00:14:16.000 We're seeing it in Los Angeles.

00:14:18.000 We're seeing all this stuff happen.

00:14:19.000 The only people who matter are our political class.

00:14:21.000 Only our political class matter. 0.98

00:14:22.000 They get to say whatever irresponsible, insane thing they want to say.

00:14:27.000 But they are protected, so they're fine.

00:14:28.000 Mayor Lori Lightfoot, her house is protected.

00:14:30.000 Doesn't matter the Chicago loop gets basically ransacked.

00:14:33.000 So what did she tweet about this?

00:14:35.000 Quote, yesterday in Wisconsin, a police officer shot Jacob Blake, an unarmed black man, a father, seven times in the back.

00:14:42.000 I'm deeply disturbed by the video capturing part of the incident.

00:14:45.000 I urge civil and criminal authorities to pursue an immediate and thorough investigation of the shooting.

00:14:49.000 First of all, they are doing an immediate and thorough investigation of the shooting.

00:14:52.000 Second of all, she's disturbed by the video capturing part of the incident?

00:14:56.000 If you don't have the whole incident, then sure, that part of the video is disturbing.

00:15:00.000 I mean, whenever somebody gets shot on video, it's disturbing.

00:15:02.000 But wouldn't you want to have, like, the whole video?

00:15:04.000 Wouldn't you want to know all the circumstances?

00:15:06.000 And it doesn't matter, because she's already characterized the situation.

00:15:10.000 It's a police officer shooting Jacob Blake, an unarmed black man.

00:15:13.000 Again, we don't know if he was unarmed.

00:15:14.000 A father, seven times in the back.

00:15:15.000 And they won't mention the fact, you know, of the prior criminal record.

00:15:19.000 Like, if you're going to take into account only the things that we know, Then perhaps the prior criminal record goes into the officer's thinking.

00:15:26.000 They pull up a rap sheet on the guy while they're driving to the place, perhaps.

00:15:28.000 I mean, we don't know the answer to any of that.

00:15:30.000 Doesn't justify the shooting.

00:15:32.000 Yet, we don't know.

00:15:33.000 But that's the whole point.

00:15:34.000 We don't freaking know.

00:15:36.000 I'm saying we don't know.

00:15:36.000 Why can't these people say we don't know?

00:15:38.000 And the answer is because the narrative matters way more.

00:15:41.000 Way more than the actual facts of the case.

00:15:42.000 Representative Joe Kennedy, who's running for Senate in Massachusetts, he tweeted out, He literally does not know what happened here, because no one knows what happened here.

00:15:50.000 black Americans confront on a daily basis without action and real change.

00:15:54.000 Jacob Blake, an entire nation is praying for you.

00:15:56.000 He literally does not know what happened here because no one knows what happened here.

00:16:00.000 I didn't realize that Joe Kennedy was now God.

00:16:02.000 There will be no end to the police brutality and white supremacy black Americans confront on a daily basis. 0.90

00:16:08.000 No end to it. 0.96

00:16:09.000 It's like when Michelle Obama said at the convention last week, there's a never-ending list of black people shot by police.

00:16:13.000 Nope, that list ends.

00:16:15.000 It turns out that list ends.

00:16:16.000 It turns out the list of unarmed black men shot unjustifiably by police is in like low double digits.

00:16:22.000 And even that is disputed.

00:16:23.000 It's the Washington Post database.

00:16:24.000 So it turns out that list has an end.

00:16:26.000 Joe Kennedy saying there's no end to police brutality and white supremacy?

00:16:30.000 Because there was a Gallup poll that was done two weeks ago that said 81% of black Americans want the same level of policing in their communities or more policing in their communities.

00:16:30.000 Weird.

00:16:38.000 Which is a weird thing to want if you are constantly being targeted by the police on racial basis. 0.99

00:16:44.000 Our politicians are so damned irresponsible. 0.99

00:16:47.000 So unbelievably irresponsible. 0.98

00:16:50.000 We still don't know what happened here, but none of that matters.

00:16:52.000 None of that matters.

00:16:54.000 And these riots are now taking place in major cities across the country.

00:16:57.000 It's horrifying.

00:16:59.000 I mean, truly.

00:17:00.000 We're gonna get to more of this in just one second.

00:17:03.000 First, let's talk about why exactly you're paying too much for your cell phone bill.

00:17:07.000 There is no reason to do that.

00:17:09.000 You may assume your cell phone bill will always cost exactly what it costs, but that's not true.

00:17:12.000 There are easy savings you can find.

00:17:14.000 Right now, who's your wireless provider?

00:17:15.000 AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile?

00:17:17.000 What if I told you Pure Talk USA uses the exact same network as one of those carriers, same tower, same exact coverage, but literally costs you half?

00:17:23.000 How do they make it so affordable?

00:17:24.000 Well, there are no retail stores, so low overhead.

00:17:27.000 You're not funding their billion-dollar ad campaigns.

00:17:29.000 You're only paying for the data you need.

00:17:30.000 No contract, no excessive fees.

00:17:32.000 You'll enjoy unlimited talk, text, and two gigs of data, all for just 20 bucks a month.

00:17:36.000 That's right, the average person is saving $400 a year on their wireless bill when they switch to PeerTalk USA.

00:17:41.000 So grab that mobile phone, dial pound 250, say Ben Shapiro.

00:17:44.000 When you do, you get 250 bucks off any iPhone, including the brand new iPhone SE.

00:17:48.000 Again, that is pound 250, say keyword Ben Shapiro.

00:17:51.000 Pound two five zero. 0.54

00:17:52.000 Say keyword Ben Shapiro to get started with Pure Talk USA.

00:17:55.000 You're paying too much money for your cell phone bill.

00:17:56.000 You're probably not using the unlimited data that you are paying for.

00:17:59.000 So why not cut that cell phone bill down?

00:18:00.000 There is no reason to be spending 400 bucks extra a year on your wireless bill.

00:18:04.000 Go check out Pure Talk USA by dialing pound 250 and saying Ben Shapiro.

00:18:09.000 Okay, so our deeply irresponsible politicians across the United States.

00:18:14.000 There was all this violence in Wisconsin last night.

00:18:18.000 The violence continues in places like Denver.

00:18:20.000 So Denver is a new site of violence.

00:18:22.000 According to CBS Local in Denver, Denver City leaders hosted a news conference on Sunday to discuss arrests and destruction from riots on Saturday night.

00:18:30.000 A group of about 50 to 75 people rioted outside the Denver Police Department headquarters.

00:18:34.000 According to Murphy Robinson, Denver's public safety director, they brought weapons to the table.

00:18:38.000 They had guns.

00:18:39.000 They brought explosives, axes, machetes, and had one intent purpose, and that was harm to our officers.

00:18:44.000 I want these anarchists to hear me clearly and loudly.

00:18:46.000 This will not be tolerated in our city.

00:18:47.000 You are not welcome here.

00:18:49.000 Robinson went on to say the city plans to do everything in its power to stop these violent acts.

00:18:52.000 He said, effective immediately, I'm suspending the command PR bond jail inmate cap I put in place due to COVID-19, which basically allowed people to just be released from jail.

00:19:02.000 The cap aimed to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the jail.

00:19:06.000 Multiple businesses suffered damage, including the Quiznos.

00:19:09.000 So that was exciting.

00:19:10.000 BlackBlock was just running around smashing businesses. 0.98

00:19:13.000 BlackBlock is, of course, an anarchist group. 0.97

00:19:15.000 Robinson, by the way, is black.

00:19:17.000 He says, I want to speak to you as a black man and as a Denver native. 0.90

00:19:19.000 The narrative that these anarchists are marching for justice for black lives is frankly false.

00:19:22.000 The public needs to know you do not represent us.

00:19:24.000 Stop using the color of my skin to tear up my city. 0.99

00:19:28.000 So Denver becomes yet another city overrun by anarchists and rioters and looters declaring themselves in support of Black Lives Matter.

00:19:35.000 Also, remember that time that the federal officers were largely removed from Portland and then Portland continued to burn?

00:19:40.000 We are now in the 13th straight week of riots in Portland. 0.97

00:19:44.000 So well done Mayor Ted Wheeler and the Portland Police Department that has been hamstrung by this garbage mayor. 0.71

00:19:49.000 According to KGW8, protests in Portland have continued for the 13th straight week. 0.86

00:19:54.000 Since the death of George Floyd, demonstrators have taken to the streets to protest systematic racism, police brutality, and a call to defund Portland Police Department.

00:20:01.000 Saturday night, about 250 protesters gathered at Normandale Park in Portland before a direct action march. 1.00

00:20:06.000 The march calls for the complete abolition of police and prisons, which sounds like a great plan while you're burning the entire city to the ground, you stupid piece of... Journalists on the scene are reporting that Portland police would not let the protesters cross in some areas. 0.99

00:20:19.000 The police department said in a statement early Sunday morning to prevent anyone from getting hurt due to vehicles because there were four vehicles that refused, that approached officers and refused to move because the officers had set up a line in front of the cars.

00:20:30.000 A sergeant deflated two tires on one of the vehicles.

00:20:32.000 The other vehicles then complied with orders to leave.

00:20:36.000 The Portland Police Department said the incident commander tried to prevent protesters from marching to the Penumbra-Kelly building because it had been the target of rioters on multiple occasions over the past few months.

00:20:44.000 Apparently, someone rolled a mock guillotine with a stuffed bear into the street.

00:20:47.000 I don't know what Paddington did exactly.

00:20:50.000 Multiple U.S.

00:20:50.000 flags and the bear were then burned.

00:20:53.000 Well, I don't know what the bear did.

00:20:54.000 That bear seems to be taking the brunt of it.

00:20:56.000 Paint balloons were hurled at officers.

00:20:57.000 Green lasers were pointed at law enforcement to try and blind them.

00:21:00.000 And large rocks were thrown at police officers as well.

00:21:03.000 So, things are going great over in Portland, as per our usual arrangement.

00:21:07.000 Okay, all of which suggest that Americans might want to care what's happening in their major cities, and they might want to care about the deep and disgusting irresponsibility of their major public officials who have declared that the facts do not matter, that the cops are always bad, and that in any disputed circumstances, you can simply assume that it is a reinforcement of the narrative that America is systemically evil and black people are systemically put upon by the system of the United States.

00:21:31.000 That is the narrative that is now being drawn.

00:21:33.000 And you can see the Democratic politicians caving to this.

00:21:35.000 So Kamala Harris, Our wonderful vice presidential candidate in the Democratic Party.

00:21:39.000 She was asked over the weekend about the fact that in prior iterations of Kamala Harris, she has called for more policing in high-crime communities because that is, in fact, the only way that you increase both the life expectancy and the benefits of living in the United States for people who want to live in a law-abiding community.

00:21:53.000 You make sure that they can actually call on the cops.

00:21:56.000 You want to know why high-crime areas are high-crime?

00:21:59.000 Because there are not enough police officers.

00:22:00.000 They're not because there are too few police.

00:22:03.000 Not because you want to get rid of the police.

00:22:06.000 So here is Kamala Harris being asked about how she used to claim that we need more police officers in high crime areas. 0.97

00:22:12.000 And here she is saying, well, you know, I'm going to avoid all that.

00:22:14.000 I'm just going to talk about Black Lives Matter and how there's an entrenched status quo.

00:22:18.000 And here's her anti-cop position. 1.00

00:22:21.000 You conclude by saying that you wanted to see more police on the street.

00:22:25.000 Do you still feel that way?

00:22:27.000 Listen, I think that there is no question.

00:22:29.000 First of all, when I wrote that book, Black Lives Matter did not exist.

00:22:39.000 And I give full credit to the brilliance of that movement in terms of what it has done to advance a conversation that needed to happen a long time ago.

00:22:50.000 What Black Lives Matter has done as a movement has been to be a counterforce against a very entrenched status quo around the criminal justice system in America.

00:23:03.000 Unbelievable. 1.00

00:23:04.000 What an unbelievably manipulative hypocrite this person is. 0.99

00:23:07.000 And my goodness, this is a person who was a prosecutor and she was pro-cop up until the point where it became politically non-beneficial for her to be a prosecutor and pro-cop. 0.99

00:23:15.000 And then all of a sudden she shifts into, Black Lives Matter is a wonderful counterforce. 0.55

00:23:19.000 Okay, I understand protesting against police brutality.

00:23:22.000 I understand wanting to relieve qualified immunity.

00:23:25.000 I've talked about it repeatedly on the show.

00:23:26.000 I've talked about police unions.

00:23:28.000 I've talked about all these things.

00:23:30.000 But, if you're going to claim that you no longer need police in high-crime communities because Black Lives Matter is doing a good job, you're gonna pretend that protests and rioters have nothing to do with the Black Lives Matter movements we've been seeing around the country?

00:23:41.000 Which is insane, okay?

00:23:43.000 These are growing out of Black Lives Matter protests.

00:23:46.000 It's funny how the media used to maintain the stark, separate division between rioters and protesters.

00:23:51.000 And then, as soon as the rioters and the protesters started to gain the upper hand, and it became nearly impossible to ignore them, then it became, well, maybe it's justified.

00:23:58.000 Maybe it's kind of justified.

00:24:01.000 We went through four nights of Democratic National Convention last week in which rioters and looters didn't exist.

00:24:06.000 Poof! 0.99

00:24:06.000 They just didn't exist. 0.99

00:24:07.000 They're gone.

00:24:08.000 Absolutely incredible.

00:24:10.000 And by the way, do I trust Kamala Harris on race and racism in the United States?

00:24:15.000 No, I do not. 1.00

00:24:16.000 I think she's a Machiavellian, manipulative, damned liar. 1.00

00:24:20.000 How do I know that she's a liar? 1.00

00:24:21.000 I'll show you in just one second. 1.00

00:24:22.000 I mean, she's a brutal liar. 1.00

00:24:23.000 We'll get to that in just one second. 0.98

00:24:25.000 It's amazing she's being upheld as an example of racial, of some sort of racial spokesperson in the United States, considering how she has used the issue of race in order to either advance or not advance a particular agenda.

00:24:39.000 It's really incredible.

00:24:40.000 We'll get to that in just one second.

00:24:42.000 First, let us talk about the fact that there are people who are interested in stealing your stuff, and they can do it without actually having to break into your home.

00:24:50.000 Well, the fact is that COVID-19, how does that have to do with losing your home?

00:24:53.000 Well, it could have a lot to do with losing your home.

00:24:55.000 The FBI reports that cybercrime is up 75% since the virus hit.

00:24:58.000 One cybercrime you should worry about is home title theft.

00:25:01.000 The legal documents to your home are now kept online.

00:25:03.000 And cyber thieves, foreign and domestic, know that.

00:25:06.000 If you don't protect your home's title, well, there is the possibility that something bad could happen.

00:25:09.000 Thieves could forge your name on a quick claim deed.

00:25:11.000 So, somebody could actually just do that and then sell your home.

00:25:14.000 They slap a fake notary seal on it, refile as the new owner of the home.

00:25:17.000 This has actually happened to people.

00:25:18.000 Then they take out loans against the home, they leave you in debt.

00:25:21.000 Your bank may not protect you, neither does your insurance or common identity theft guys.

00:25:25.000 For pennies a day, home title lock puts a virtual barrier around your home's title.

00:25:28.000 The instant they detect tampering, they shut it down.

00:25:30.000 So, go check out HomeTitleLock.com.

00:25:33.000 Register your address to see if you've already been a victim of something like this.

00:25:36.000 Then, use code SHAPIRO for 30 free days of protection.

00:25:39.000 That is code SHAPIRO at HomeTitleLock.com.

00:25:41.000 Protect yourself against hackers who could try and grab the title to your home to make all sorts of financial trouble for you.

00:25:46.000 Go to HomeTitleLock.com.

00:25:48.000 Again, that's HomeTitleLock.com.

00:25:51.000 Use code SHAPIRO for 30 free days of protection. 1.00

00:25:54.000 Okay, so again, Kamala Harris, what an awful hypocrite. 1.00

00:25:56.000 She spends years as tough prosecutor, cracking down on crime, and then, the minute she becomes a vice presidential candidate, Black Lives Matter is doing incredible work against law enforcement all over the United States. 0.98

00:26:05.000 Why don't I trust Kamala Harris on even the authenticity of her newfound Racial progressivism? 0.99

00:26:13.000 Because she's willing to say literally anything. 1.00

00:26:16.000 She's just a damned hypocrite. 1.00

00:26:17.000 Okay, so you remember early on in the primary race, when she labeled Joe Biden a racist, she suggested that Joe Biden was trying to stop little girls like her from attending interracial schools, from attending integrated schools, integrated public schools, right? 1.00

00:26:30.000 She even sold shirts that said, a little girl like me, right?

00:26:33.000 That was her thing.

00:26:34.000 So she was asked about this on ABC.

00:26:37.000 Okay, so she's on ABC News and she's asked specifically about this.

00:26:40.000 And here is her answer.

00:26:42.000 Okay, she's willing to say anything.

00:26:44.000 Our politicians are willing to say anything.

00:26:46.000 So many of these politicians are not genuine about solving racial problems in this country.

00:26:50.000 If you want to solve racial problems in this country, you know what you do? 0.97

00:26:52.000 You actually look at the conditions under which racial problems become a problem.

00:26:55.000 You look at behavior.

00:26:57.000 You look at the fact that high crime communities need more cops.

00:27:00.000 You look at the fact that people need school choice.

00:27:03.000 You look at the fact that we need more fathers in communities.

00:27:07.000 You look at the fact that we need to incentivize people to stay in school.

00:27:11.000 These are all systemic problems that much more greatly affect black Americans than the prevalence of cops in communities, or by the way, pulling cops from the communities.

00:27:19.000 But Kamala Harris is not willing to talk about anything that's not convenient to Kamala Harris.

00:27:22.000 So here's Kamala Harris over the weekend being asked specifically about basically implying Joe Biden is a racist.

00:27:28.000 I can't believe that people trust our politicians.

00:27:30.000 I cannot believe it, frankly.

00:27:31.000 Here's Kamala Harris. 0.99

00:27:33.000 Can't get past the debate. A lot of people cannot let that go the way you challenged him.

00:27:39.000 So how did you go from there to here?

00:27:42.000 I want Joe Biden to be the next president of the United States.

00:27:49.000 I believe in Joe Biden.

00:27:51.000 I believe in his perspective.

00:27:53.000 And frankly, I think that conversation is a distraction from what we need to accomplish right now and what we need to do.

00:27:59.000 These are the people you trust?

00:28:01.000 Don't worry, if she tweets about this person who was shot, if she tweets about Jacob Blake, then magically everybody will believe that she's empathetic about these issues.

00:28:09.000 But there she is, basically saying, yeah, sure, I call them a racist, but you know what?

00:28:12.000 It doesn't matter anymore because I'm trying to get ahead.

00:28:14.000 Does it really matter?

00:28:17.000 The manipulation of the narrative by members of the media for political gain, by members of our political class for political gain, and then the cities burn.

00:28:23.000 There are real life consequences to this stuff.

00:28:25.000 There are people who suffer because of this stuff.

00:28:27.000 There are people who die because of this stuff.

00:28:29.000 It is incredible.

00:28:31.000 I'm not saying people die because of Kamala Harris' commentary.

00:28:34.000 I'm saying that people die when you forward the narrative that America is a deeply racist, systemically evil place, and then people riot on that basis.

00:28:43.000 I'm saying that these things have consequences because they do.

00:28:47.000 We're watching the consequences in the streets every night in major cities around the country.

00:28:52.000 We're watching it happen.

00:28:53.000 And the media just forward these narratives.

00:28:55.000 They forward the narratives because the narratives, not only do they believe in them, but they also allow people to restructure American society along the lines that they wish to see.

00:29:06.000 How far does some of this racial rhetoric go?

00:29:08.000 Well, if you look at our media, our media are even worse than our political class because the media, at least supposedly, have an incentive to tell the truth, but apparently not.

00:29:16.000 Remember that time that Jemele Hill, so she's a commentator.

00:29:18.000 I will at least acknowledge she's not an objective journalist, right?

00:29:21.000 She's an opinion person.

00:29:23.000 So, opinion person Jemele Hill, who has opinions professionally, which is fine.

00:29:26.000 I also have opinions professionally.

00:29:27.000 Jemele Hill used to be hired by ESPN, and then she was let go because she was even too woke for MSNBC with footballs. 1.00

00:29:34.000 Then she was hired by The Atlantic.

00:29:35.000 Remember, The Atlantic was a place that was so establishment that Kevin Williamson was too much for them.

00:29:40.000 Kevin Williamson of National Review.

00:29:42.000 Well, now she writes for The Atlantic, And she tweeted out over the weekend, quote, been reading Isabel Wilkerson's new book, Cast, right?

00:29:48.000 This is the hot new book pushed by Oprah Winfrey that suggests that America is basically like the Indian caste system, which is why, of course, Untouchables have been elected to the highest leadership positions in India. 1.00

00:29:58.000 Oh, wait, they haven't.

00:30:00.000 In the United States, we've had a black president elected overwhelmingly twice.

00:30:03.000 But she says, been reading Isabel Wilkerson's new book, Cast, and if you weren't of the opinion that the United States wasn't nearly as bad as Nazi Germany, how wrong you are.

00:30:10.000 Can't encourage you enough to read this masterpiece.

00:30:12.000 Now, it seems to me that there were some differences between the United States and a Nazi Germany, even during the worst of Jim Crow, such as we didn't murder six million black people in the United States in a systemic genocide. 0.53

00:30:25.000 That seems like a minor difference that you might want to note there.

00:30:28.000 This does not excuse Jim Crow. 0.66

00:30:30.000 It does not excuse the evils of American racism.

00:30:33.000 But the narrative drawn that America is just like Nazi Germany, or like the caste system in India, is so patently absurd on its face.

00:30:40.000 And yet that gets pushed.

00:30:42.000 Okay, that narrative is being pushed by major publications.

00:30:44.000 It's being pushed by members of the media.

00:30:47.000 Other racial narratives that are being pushed is that racism only works in one direction.

00:30:52.000 So if you are racist in another direction, then anything can be racism except for certain things.

00:30:58.000 Right, so for example, Democrats are now suggesting that if you mispronounce Kamala Harris' name, that is racist.

00:31:03.000 That's absurd.

00:31:04.000 Maybe you just mispronounced her name.

00:31:05.000 It's not the easiest name to pronounce.

00:31:07.000 But this has become a Democratic talking point.

00:31:09.000 It's racist to mispronounce Kamala Harris' name.

00:31:12.000 There's literally an article from the AP about this over the weekend.

00:31:16.000 When top Republicans, including President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, mispronounce Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris' first name, it's not just disrespectful, it's racist, according to the Democrats.

00:31:29.000 Because it's pronounced Kamula, not Kamala.

00:31:32.000 I mean, like, come, so that, let's just say, let's point out, okay, here's the news standard from the narrative setters in American politics.

00:31:40.000 You don't need evidence when there is an interracial shooting of a white police officer on a black person.

00:31:46.000 Then you don't need evidence.

00:31:47.000 It is purely in evidence of America's systemic racism.

00:31:51.000 If a black person shoots a white person, we just don't report it in the United States.

00:31:54.000 It doesn't make any dent at all.

00:31:55.000 The media just, it's not a national story because obviously racism doesn't exist.

00:32:00.000 How do we know, by the way, that racism only exists on one side according to this narrative?

00:32:03.000 about. America is just like Nazi Germany, except if a Democrat gets elected, then it's all wonder and light, as Joe Biden said. How do we know, by the way, that racism only exists on one side, according to this narrative? So over the weekend, there was an NBA player, This guy's name is Montrezl Harrell.

00:32:20.000 Montrell Harrell.

00:32:21.000 He plays for the Los Angeles Clippers.

00:32:23.000 And there is a European-origin player named Luka Doncic.

00:32:28.000 I'm probably pronouncing his name incorrectly.

00:32:29.000 He plays for the Dallas Mavericks.

00:32:30.000 Tremendous player. 0.99

00:32:31.000 And in the middle of the game, between the Mavericks and the Clippers, this Montrell Harrell person He called Donchick a bitch-ass white boy. 0.99

00:32:42.000 That is a direct quote. 0.99

00:32:44.000 You can see it happening on tape. 1.00

00:32:47.000 Bitch-ass white boy. 1.00

00:32:49.000 So, what did the NBA do about this? 1.00

00:32:51.000 The NBA did nothing about this.

00:32:53.000 Nothing.

00:32:54.000 Literally nothing.

00:32:55.000 They said we had a conversation.

00:32:57.000 A conversation.

00:32:59.000 Because racism doesn't exist in this direction.

00:33:01.000 Doc Rivers, who's the coach of the LA Clippers.

00:33:03.000 Here's what Doc Rivers had to say about this particular quote.

00:33:07.000 You just have to be careful.

00:33:09.000 They were both talking.

00:33:10.000 I don't think Luka was saying anything racial, but he was swearing.

00:33:13.000 So they were both doing it.

00:33:15.000 They were both doing it.

00:33:16.000 So swearing is now the same as a racial slur, is what we've been told.

00:33:19.000 In fact, what Doc Rivers says, this wasn't even a racial slur. 0.99

00:33:22.000 When you say bitch-ass white boy, it has nothing to do with color. 0.99

00:33:25.000 He says it's an emotional game. 1.00

00:33:26.000 It's a playground game out there in the playoffs.

00:33:28.000 I said to him, hey, I don't think he meant anything racially by it.

00:33:30.000 He said white boy, but I don't think there was anything racial intended.

00:33:33.000 Which is a weird way to say something non-racial.

00:33:35.000 But we are in a very heightened climate.

00:33:36.000 You have to be careful.

00:33:37.000 Trey was the first one to say that.

00:33:39.000 He said, I didn't mean that radically.

00:33:40.000 I didn't mean that racially.

00:33:41.000 And I said, it doesn't matter.

00:33:42.000 It's what's perceived.

00:33:43.000 Make sure you do the right thing.

00:33:44.000 Now, listen, I'm fine with everybody lightening up on their reactions to this kind of stuff.

00:33:49.000 I am.

00:33:50.000 But we are now living in a society where we are told that without evidence, racism is the defining factor of American life and that every disparity is attributable to American racism. 0.99

00:33:58.000 But if a black person says to a white person, bitch ass white boy, it is inherently non-racial. 0.98

00:34:04.000 Does this sound like a consistent standard to you? 1.00

00:34:06.000 Does this sound logical to you in any way?

00:34:08.000 Or does it sound like a narrative is being drawn and that the narrative doesn't care about the evidence?

00:34:12.000 The evidence simply doesn't matter.

00:34:14.000 All that matters in the end is the narrative.

00:34:16.000 End of story. 0.97

00:34:17.000 America is systemically racist. 1.00

00:34:18.000 White people are systemically discriminating against black people. 1.00

00:34:21.000 Black people are incapable of being racist. 0.99

00:34:23.000 By the way, this is one of the points of the so-called anti-racism contingent is that racism isn't just discrimination. 0.99

00:34:28.000 Racism is discrimination combined with power.

00:34:31.000 And because white people hold the power based on the perverse conspiratorial worldview of the anti-racist, that means that only white people can be racist.

00:34:40.000 And you also don't need evidence of racism in order to claim racism.

00:34:45.000 The predictable result of this is to divide Americans and to make Americans more polarized.

00:34:49.000 The way that normal people should act about this stuff is to look at each other as individuals.

00:34:53.000 I know, that's verboten.

00:34:54.000 We're not allowed to do that anymore.

00:34:55.000 Look at each other as individuals, look at each individual incident based on its fact pattern, but we just don't do it.

00:35:00.000 It's not worthwhile anymore, so we just don't do it.

00:35:02.000 Okay, in a second, we're gonna get to the RNC, because this is going to be one of the themes of the RNC, and frankly, it should be one of the themes of the RNC.

00:35:09.000 The city's burning seems like a rather major theme that Democrats completely elided for eight long hours of primetime DNC last week.

00:35:15.000 We learned that the Black Lives Matter movement is completely wonderful and great, and the protesters are the best of us, as Barack Obama suggested.

00:35:23.000 The riots and the looting don't exist, and America's systemically racist, except if Joe Biden gets elected, in which case he brings the light.

00:35:27.000 The 80-year-old white man, he brings the light, and everything is all better. 0.95

00:35:32.000 Even if you're a Black Lives Matter protester, I wonder if you believe the crap that's being fed to you about how Joe Biden, an 80-year-old, an octogenarian white man who used to work with segregationist senators, is going to heal all racial wounds in the country. 0.99

00:35:41.000 Are you that much of a sucker if you're on the hard left? 1.00

00:35:44.000 Seriously. 1.00

00:35:45.000 We'll get to more of this in just one second.

00:35:46.000 We'll get to the RNC, which begins tonight.

00:35:49.000 But first, imagine you're walking through a parking lot and you're with your kids, and as you approach your car, you see somebody closing in and something seems wrong.

00:35:56.000 So you calmly move in front of your kids and you turn toward this person.

00:35:59.000 And the person starts to move toward their own gun.

00:36:02.000 The person is now 30 feet away.

00:36:03.000 You don't make a move yet, but you can feel that you have a gun on your hip.

00:36:06.000 And so you say, stay back.

00:36:07.000 And then the attacker understands what criminals comprehend.

00:36:10.000 He's picked the wrong target and he turns around.

00:36:12.000 And your kid says, what's wrong?

00:36:14.000 You say, nothing, everything is fine.

00:36:15.000 In this day and age, you may need a gun to protect your family and yourself.

00:36:18.000 And this is unfortunately becoming more and more common in major cities across the United States.

00:36:21.000 This is why you should be a responsible gun owner.

00:36:23.000 One of the purposes of responsibly owning and using a gun is to make sure you never have to use a gun.

00:37:00.000 In just one second, we're going to get to the RNC because the RNC begins tonight and you can bet that some of the thematics are going to focus in on the burning of America's major cities.

00:37:09.000 But first, if you haven't heard by now, Joe Biden is officially the Democratic Party's presidential nominee for 2020.

00:37:13.000 We know because we made our own Matt Walsh suffer through his acceptance speech at the DNC.

00:37:18.000 Matt is still unhappy about this.

00:37:19.000 In fact, he is cowering in his own basement right now.

00:37:21.000 I believe he's in like fetal position crying.

00:37:24.000 However, we were not just torturing Matt for fun.

00:37:26.000 I mean, we were, but also he was hosting All Access Live over at dailywire.com with our All Access members, Daily Wire's most exclusive membership tier.

00:37:33.000 All Access members get to join these All Access Live sessions where one of us hosts every night.

00:37:38.000 One of us will jump on every night to chat with you both in live stream and in the comments.

00:37:42.000 Usually the sessions are casual hangouts.

00:37:44.000 On special occasions, we will host watch parties like Matt's last week.

00:37:47.000 Again, this Thursday, August 27th, we'll be doing it.

00:37:49.000 Livestreaming an all-access live watch party for the final night of the RNC, hosted by none other than the ex-Global Michael Nelson.

00:37:55.000 I have a prediction.

00:37:56.000 He will like President Trump's speech.

00:37:57.000 The livestream will start at 8.45pm Eastern, 5.45pm Pacific, a few minutes before the convention kicks off.

00:38:03.000 All-access membership also features not one, but two leftist-series tumblers with your membership, as well as early, sometimes exclusive, access to new Daily Wire products.

00:38:11.000 Head on over to dailywire.com slash Shapiro right now.

00:38:13.000 Get 20% off all access with coupon code access.

00:38:16.000 That is dailywire.com slash Shapiro with coupon code access to get 20% off your membership.

00:38:20.000 for ship you're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast in the nation.

00:38:24.000 Alrighty, so the RNC tonight, I'm sure is gonna focus in on the riots and the looting.

00:38:34.000 And that is not A politically driven decision by itself.

00:38:38.000 I mean, the fact is that when you go eight hours of Democratic National Convention time and nobody can condemn Antifa, nobody can condemn the Black Lives Matter looters and rioters, not the protesters, the rioters and the looters, right? 0.96

00:38:49.000 Some of whom are indeed protesters who morph into rioters and looters when it becomes time.

00:38:54.000 They can pretend for a full eight hours of prime time, this stuff doesn't exist.

00:38:58.000 And then they can have Kamala Harris go on national television and say that the BLM movement is pushing us toward a better America. 0.93

00:39:02.000 And I'm wondering how.

00:39:03.000 Does it feel like America is getting better over the past several months?

00:39:07.000 If it does, I'm just wondering, what is your evidence of this?

00:39:10.000 Like seriously, are race relations better in the country?

00:39:13.000 Do you feel like we've moved toward actual solutions?

00:39:15.000 Or does it turn out that when Senator Tim Scott, the black Republican from South Carolina, proposes an actual police reform bill and Democrats filibuster the thing to prevent a solution, this is really much more about narrative drawing and pure politics than it is about solving problems?

00:39:29.000 So as it turns out, Americans do in fact care about what is happening right now in America's major cities.

00:39:36.000 There's a new Gallup poll out and it shows that 59% of Americans say that they are concerned about the levels of violent crime that are happening in America's major cities and the burning of America's major cities.

00:39:47.000 That is just slightly lower than the 63% of Americans who say that coronavirus is one of their top priorities.

00:39:53.000 So this is a major issue.

00:39:54.000 The media have completely downplayed it.

00:39:56.000 The media have completely ignored it.

00:39:58.000 And you can bet your bottom dollar that Republicans are going to focus on it at the RNC, which they absolutely should, as Democratic politicians continue to, simply without evidence, suggest that America is an evil, systemically racist caste system.

00:40:10.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, there are some signs of life for the Trump campaign.

00:40:14.000 Here's a new poll from the Wall Street Journal NBC News.

00:40:17.000 The president's share of support, which is at 41%, has not topped 44% this year against Joe Biden.

00:40:23.000 He trails the former VP in aggregated polling of most battleground states, although his deficit is smaller than is in national polls.

00:40:29.000 But his position may be stronger than head-to-head polling shows.

00:40:32.000 At this point in the last election, Trump trails his Democratic opponent by 9 percentage points in journal NBC News polling.

00:40:37.000 He still does.

00:40:39.000 His public image has actually picked up some shine.

00:40:41.000 More voters saw Trump in a negative light than a positive one in the most recent poll by a margin of about 12 percentage points.

00:40:47.000 But at this point four years ago, the negative outnumbered the positive by 33 percentage points.

00:40:53.000 He apparently has an improved image among white voters.

00:40:56.000 He lags behind his 2016 vote share as recorded by exit polls.

00:40:59.000 But white voters in the most recent journal, NBC News Survey, were divided almost equally between positive and negative views of the president.

00:41:05.000 It's about 20 points higher than he was doing last time around.

00:41:07.000 He's holding steady with Hispanics as well.

00:41:10.000 Some 31% of Hispanics say they will back the president, which is slightly higher than the 28% who voted for him in 2016.

00:41:18.000 Republican intensity is also beginning to build.

00:41:21.000 And apparently, up for grabs voters are still leaning Republican, which is good news for him. 1.00

00:41:26.000 According to that Journal-NBC News survey in July, they looked at voters who haven't ruled out either candidate and are in play.

00:41:32.000 Those voters as a group have characteristics that suggest they are open to Trump and his party, according to the Wall Street Journal.

00:41:36.000 Some 22% have a positive image of Trump.

00:41:39.000 Only 11% have a positive image of Joe Biden.

00:41:43.000 They prefer a candidate who will confront the Washington establishment, which is one of Trump's key pitches.

00:41:47.000 And of course, Trump still leads on the economy and voters dislike both parties.

00:41:51.000 So this election is not quite over yet.

00:41:53.000 So you can expect that the president is going to focus in on two things.

00:41:58.000 One, his own ubiquity.

00:42:00.000 He's going to focus in on that.

00:42:02.000 And he's going to focus in on the crime issues that have been plaguing America's major cities.

00:42:07.000 Apparently, he's going to speak every single night at the RNC.

00:42:11.000 Now, I don't know whether that is a particularly good strategy.

00:42:13.000 You usually want to build up some sort of drama, but I guess that, look, Trump knows more about reality TV than virtually anybody alive.

00:42:19.000 I mean, this is one of the areas where Trump was successful.

00:42:22.000 Other areas, he has exaggerated his success.

00:42:24.000 The man was a very, very successful reality TV host, so he knows how this stuff works.

00:42:28.000 He's probably figuring, listen, not everybody's gonna watch last night.

00:42:31.000 We're gonna have different audiences every night, so I'll show up every single night.

00:42:35.000 According to Jason Miller, he said, you'll have President Trump speaking at various parts for each of the nights.

00:42:41.000 Miller said that the RNC will tell a beautiful story.

00:42:43.000 Miller said one of the things you're going to see this week is a complete change in the perception that the media tries to tell about what a Trump supporter looks like or who a Trump supporter is.

00:42:50.000 We're going to talk about the American story.

00:42:52.000 We're going to see a great uplifting message from the president and from our allies.

00:42:55.000 And Chuck, when I tell you some of these stories you hear, there are going to be some breakout stars, some people you would not expect to be supporters of the president.

00:42:59.000 It's going to be a very beautiful story.

00:43:01.000 So here are some of the people who are going to be appearing.

00:43:04.000 So you're going to get Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, who will appear, which is, you know, something that was controversial.

00:43:10.000 You're going to get Steve Scalise of Louisiana.

00:43:13.000 Matt Gaetz, of course, of Florida, is a big fan of the president, obviously.

00:43:15.000 Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio.

00:43:17.000 You're going to see the RNC chairwoman, of course.

00:43:17.000 Nikki Haley will be there.

00:43:20.000 And then you're going to see Amy Johnson Ford, who's one of the people who was helped out by criminal justice reform, I believe.

00:43:26.000 You're going to see Kim Klacik, who is a candidate in Baltimore.

00:43:29.000 She cut a video that went absolutely viral talking about how horribly Baltimore has been run for years.

00:43:35.000 You'll see Mark and Patricia McCloskey, that was that couple in St.

00:43:37.000 Louis who were brought up on charges for defending their property.

00:43:41.000 You'll see Andrew Pollack, who had a relative who was murdered in a mass shooting and has been a big supporter of the president.

00:43:48.000 Those are the Monday speakers.

00:43:50.000 On Tuesday, you're going to see First Lady Melania Trump, Mike Pompeo, Senator Rand Paul will be appearing.

00:43:58.000 You will see a group of—Nick Sandman, who's the kid who was targeted in the Covington Catholic scandal.

00:44:04.000 And then there are a bunch of names that I really don't know and who I'm sure we will get to see over the course of time.

00:44:10.000 I believe that the entire Johnson family, basically, is showing up when he's speaking every night.

00:44:14.000 Alice Johnson was one of the lead figures in the criminal justice reform, if I got that name wrong, in the first place. 0.87

00:44:20.000 So it'll be interesting to see how they program this thing.

00:44:23.000 And apparently they're banking on some surprises that will change the narrative a little bit.

00:44:29.000 According to Bloomberg, Trump said that he's going to go live as much as humanly possible.

00:44:35.000 He's also teasing the promise of at least a few surprises.

00:44:39.000 The convention represents one of Trump's last chances to make the case and write the sputtering campaign.

00:44:43.000 Look, the bottom line is what he needs to focus in on is the unrest in America's major cities.

00:44:47.000 And I'm frankly shocked that he has not done a better job of touting his actual record on COVID.

00:44:52.000 So the president has said many stupid things over the course of the past six months on COVID, but the actual record of the administration in getting governors what they want is pretty good. 0.89

00:45:00.000 If they do not have some time in this primetime convention, just a mashup of all the Democratic governors saying that Trump gave them what they need, that is political malpractice. 0.97

00:45:08.000 I've been saying it for weeks at this point.

00:45:10.000 I'm shocked they have not done it so far.

00:45:13.000 All of which led, by the way, The president to make an announcement over the weekend that was highly controversial because it looks like he's politicizing the pursuit of solutions on COVID-19.

00:45:23.000 Basically, the day before the convention starts, Trump issued an emergency use authorization for blood plasma.

00:45:28.000 He called it transformative.

00:45:29.000 The actual science shows that it may have some effect, blood plasma.

00:45:32.000 There's a study from the Mayo Clinic that shows that it'll have some effect.

00:45:35.000 No.

00:45:35.000 Is it a cure all?

00:45:36.000 Is it an effective therapeutic?

00:45:38.000 I mean, the evidence appears to be yes, although the evidence is still coming in.

00:45:41.000 And so there's been a lot of controversy over whether Trump is rushing the emergency use authorization for blood plasma for political reasons.

00:45:48.000 Doing it the day before the RNC certainly suggests that, right?

00:45:50.000 On a political level, it's just, it seems like manipulative to do that.

00:45:54.000 Period.

00:45:55.000 Now again, I think blood plasma has been used in a variety of treatments, so it really is not all that controversial medically.

00:46:00.000 But it looks like you are pushing for a solution before the RNC for political purposes.

00:46:05.000 And you make it pretty transparent when you do it the day before the RNC.

00:46:07.000 Here is Trump over the weekend.

00:46:11.000 Today I'm pleased to make a truly historic announcement in our battle against the China virus that will save countless lives.

00:46:19.000 The FDA has issued an emergency use authorization, and that's such a powerful term, emergency use authorization for a treatment known as convalescent plasma.

00:46:36.000 This is a powerful therapy that transfuses very, very strong antibodies from the blood of recovered patients to help treat patients battling a current infection.

00:46:49.000 So, frankly, this is a good thing.

00:46:51.000 As a full-time libertarian, I've always had serious problems with the FDA.

00:46:55.000 I don't think you need a federal government agency slowing up medications for two, three years.

00:47:00.000 It turns out there's legal liability that attaches to putting out bad drugs in the public marketplace.

00:47:04.000 And, you know, who knows that?

00:47:05.000 The drug companies. 0.90

00:47:06.000 The very idea that you have to go through some sort of FDA approval process in order for there to be emergency convalescent blood plasma authorization seems to me foolish in the extreme.

00:47:17.000 But doing this the day before the RNC and then declaring it a breakthrough obviously looks very political.

00:47:22.000 It also looks political when the president starts tweeting about how his own administration is blocking him.

00:47:28.000 On Saturday, Trump suggested that employees of the FDA were sabotaging his re-election by slowing down coronavirus research.

00:47:33.000 He said members of the deep state at the FBI were making it hard for drug companies to quote-unquote get people in order to test the vaccines and the therapeutics, and obviously wanted to delay progress until after the November 3rd election day.

00:47:43.000 The evidence of this I have not seen.

00:47:45.000 It seems to me that if you are in the FDA, you probably don't want to slow down the collection of information about vaccines.

00:47:52.000 And again, I've seen no evidence of that.

00:47:54.000 The president is always saying the quiet part out loud.

00:47:57.000 And to suggest that your own administration is blocking you from from pushing forward as hard as you can is silly, especially because it makes it look as though, OK, fine.

00:48:04.000 So then take control and take control.

00:48:06.000 I mean, seriously, if you believe that, take control.

00:48:09.000 The fact is that he doesn't need to do any of this.

00:48:11.000 What he needs to do is point out the fact that when the media were focused on ventilators, he got people the ventilators.

00:48:15.000 When they were focused on PPE, he got people the PPE.

00:48:17.000 Remember how PPE and ventilators were like case number one and 1A in how Trump was doing a bad job?

00:48:22.000 And then he got all the ventilators and all the PPE, and then it just disappeared?

00:48:26.000 Well, now he's pushed forward with warp speed on the vaccine, and there's good information coming out that these vaccines may be effective by the end of the year, which would be, frankly, miraculous, because usually it takes a decade to develop an effective vaccine on diseases.

00:48:39.000 And that'd be pretty, like, I don't understand why he's telling a story about an FDA trying to obscure the process, when he could be telling a story about how he's done a pretty good job of trying to ensure that everybody gets what they need, and he could be telling an even better story about how the Democrats want to shut the entire economy down again.

00:48:53.000 I mean, that's the best story here for the Republicans is we've been looking at gradual reopening.

00:48:57.000 We've been getting people what they need.

00:48:58.000 Republican governors have been ensuring that the nursing homes are protected while also ensuring that people can go out and live their lives and still have death rates that are much lower than blue states like New Jersey and New York and Massachusetts and Connecticut.

00:49:11.000 And meanwhile, Joe Biden is openly talking about shutting down the entire American economy again.

00:49:15.000 Over the weekend, I mean, how is this not a campaign ad?

00:49:18.000 Over the weekend, Joe Biden said that he would shut down the entire American economy again over COVID, which is patently crazy.

00:49:25.000 Here's Joe Biden.

00:49:26.000 Would you be prepared to shut this country down again?

00:49:30.000 I would be prepared to do whatever it takes to save lives because we cannot get the country moving until we control the virus.

00:49:38.000 That is the fundamental flaw of this administration's thinking to begin with.

00:49:43.000 In order to keep the country running and moving and the economy growing and people employed, you have to fix the virus.

00:49:51.000 You have to deal with the virus.

00:49:52.000 So if the scientists say, shut it down, I would shut it down.

00:49:56.000 I would shut it down.

00:49:56.000 It should be an ad.

00:49:57.000 I would shut it down if the scientists say, OK, the scientists are always going to say shut it down, because again, if your job as a scientist is to, quote unquote, prevent the spread and your job as a scientist is not to take into account any countervailing considerations like kids not going to school, like entire economies dying, like the fact that the lockdowns have not been particularly effective in general at doing anything beyond delaying people receiving the virus.

00:50:16.000 But they certainly have not actually prevented the virus from spreading in the long term.

00:50:21.000 Locking down the entire American economy at a time when there is no uptick in New York, there is no uptick in New Jersey, there is no uptick in Connecticut.

00:50:27.000 The only places that are seeing an uptick all over the world are places that have not been hit by the virus yet.

00:50:34.000 Why is the president not campaigning on that?

00:50:35.000 That's what he should have been saying over the weekend.

00:50:37.000 What he should have been saying is, Joe Biden wants to shut it all down.

00:50:39.000 We need to find a way to reopen.

00:50:41.000 Americans want to reopen.

00:50:42.000 We're doing it safely.

00:50:43.000 We're doing it securely.

00:50:44.000 And we've already seen it weighing in places like Arizona, Georgia, and Florida, where the media have been telling you that everybody's dying.

00:50:49.000 That is the campaign.

00:50:51.000 Okay, meanwhile, the radicalism of the DNC on full display continues to be on full display.

00:50:51.000 That's the campaign.

00:50:59.000 So over the weekend, apparently the Biden campaign reversed itself on whether Linda Sarsour is an anti-Semite. 0.89

00:51:08.000 I mean, this is truly incredible.

00:51:10.000 So apparently over the weekend, you remember that Linda Sarsour was picked as a delegate She was picked as a delegate for one of these Muslim caucuses during the day part of the DNC.

00:51:24.000 And Linda Sarsour is a virulent anti-Semite, and the Biden campaign came out, and they said, well, you know, we don't agree with Linda Sarsour.

00:51:33.000 Over the weekend, top aides to presidential candidate Joe Biden apologized to Arab and Muslim Democrats, according to MiddleEastEye.net, over an attack on Linda Sarsour by the campaign.

00:51:43.000 In a private call with dozens of prominent activists on Sunday, Ashley Allison, National Coalition's Director for the Biden campaign, said she was very sorry for the comments a campaign spokesperson made against Sarsour.

00:51:53.000 Top foreign policy advisor Tony Blinken also expressed regret over the incident during the virtual meeting.

00:51:58.000 Remember that time where they said at the Biden campaign?

00:52:01.000 Was fighting anti-Semitism?

00:52:02.000 Yeah, apparently not.

00:52:03.000 Also, it turns out that at least six of the speakers at the Democratic National Convention are backers of Louis Farrakhan, including Common, Freddie Haynes, Tamika Mallory, Linda Sarsour, James Clyburn, and Cory Booker.

00:52:17.000 All these people said that they would meet with Louis Farrakhan.

00:52:22.000 So the Democratic Party continues to be incredibly radical.

00:52:25.000 Good news, however, the Democratic Party is also going to fund the Post Office.

00:52:28.000 This was their big move over the weekend.

00:52:29.000 They passed a bill to not relieve anyone's economic pains, but to give $25 billion to the Post Office to alleviate a non-existent scandal whereby the Post Office is out of money and can't handle mail-in ballots.

00:52:40.000 That was very important stuff.

00:52:42.000 This necessitated that the Democrats pretend the Post Office is good at its job.

00:52:45.000 So Nancy Pelosi over the weekend It's not a business, it's a service.

00:52:49.000 would be saddled with what we've saddled the post office with, which is patently crazy.

00:52:54.000 It's not a business, it's a service.

00:52:56.000 And while we always want to subject every federal dollar to the scrutiny of what we're getting for it, let us remember that it is a service.

00:53:06.000 No business that I can think of would ever be saddled with what we've done to the Postal Service, saying that they, in 2006, a bill passed that said that the Postal Service should pay 75 years of its health benefits in 10 years.

00:53:26.000 I mean, who voted for that, again?

00:53:27.000 The complete restructuring of the Postal Service's debt?

00:53:30.000 Also, you know what the Postal Service has been saddled with?

00:53:32.000 Complete government bailouts on every front.

00:53:34.000 On every front.

00:53:36.000 Meanwhile, by the way, AOC was speaking up about the post office, like the Democrats focused in on the most important parts of American public life, namely a service that has been bankrupt for the last 14 years.

00:53:44.000 And you can easily send mail through other means, including UPS and FedEx.

00:53:48.000 Here is AOC.

00:53:51.000 The postal service is not only how we send a ballot.

00:53:55.000 It is how we get our medicine.

00:53:58.000 It is how we send rent checks.

00:54:00.000 It's where people are getting their tax refunds.

00:54:03.000 It is a core service of any civilized society.

00:54:08.000 And an attack on our postal service And an attempt to dismantle our postal service out of a selfish desire to sabotage our democracy and maintain a grip on power is an attack on all of us.

00:54:25.000 Good times, good times.

00:54:26.000 By the way, Joe Biden has just come out with a statement on Jacob Blake.

00:54:28.000 Speaking of responsible Democrats, Joe Biden, you're a responsible Democrat.

00:54:31.000 Here's his statement on Jacob Blake.

00:54:32.000 It just broke a moment ago.

00:54:33.000 Quote, yesterday in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Jacob Blake was shot seven times in the back as police attempted to restrain him from getting into his car.

00:54:41.000 His children watched from inside the car and bystanders watched in disbelief.

00:54:44.000 And this morning, the nation wakes up yet again with grief and outrage that yet another black American is a victim of excessive force.

00:54:49.000 This calls for an immediate, full, and transparent investigation, and the officers must be held accountable.

00:54:53.000 These shots pierce the soul of our nation.

00:54:55.000 Joe and I pray for Jacob's recovery and for his children.

00:54:58.000 Equal justice has not been real for black Americans and so many others.

00:55:01.000 We are at an inflection point.

00:55:02.000 We must dismantle systemic racism.

00:55:04.000 It is the urgent task before us.

00:55:06.000 We must fight to honor the ideals laid in the original American promise, which we are yet to attain, that all men and women are created equal, but more importantly, that they must be treated equally.

00:55:14.000 Does he have any evidence that we have not heard about, Joe Biden?

00:55:17.000 Any evidence at all that we have not heard about at this point?

00:55:19.000 The answer, of course, is no.

00:55:21.000 The answer, of course, is no.

00:55:22.000 He does not know what happened with Jacob Blake, because you don't know what happened with Jacob Blake, because I don't know what happened with Jacob Blake, because no one knows what happened.

00:55:29.000 When you say specifically in your statement that there has to be a full, transparent, and immediate investigation, that suggests you don't know what the hell is going on.

00:55:36.000 And yet, there you have it.

00:55:37.000 The former vice president of the United States being a racial demagogue on an issue where he does not have evidence.

00:55:42.000 But good news, the media are focused in, not on the racial demagoguery and the burning of America's cities.

00:55:47.000 They are focused in on really important things, like the White House rose garden renovations.

00:55:52.000 So over the weekend, the White House released photos of the renovation of the White House rose garden.

00:55:56.000 They restored it to the original sort of Jackie O state of the rose garden.

00:56:04.000 Last month, Melania Trump announced that she was taking on the project.

00:56:09.000 By adding technical updates, apparently future presidents will be able to use the space to broadcast events and presidential addresses.

00:56:15.000 There are serious drainage problems and inaccessibility to disabled people.

00:56:19.000 And so they've added some new pastel flowers.

00:56:22.000 They have a diamond-like shape of boxwoods added.

00:56:25.000 A dozen crabapple trees were removed and will be replanted elsewhere on the grounds.

00:56:28.000 Also, a seating area has been removed and will be replaced by a yet-to-be-announced art installation.

00:56:34.000 There's a three-foot-wide limestone walking path bordering the central lawn that is supposed to make the garden more accessible for people with disabilities.

00:56:40.000 So, good news!

00:56:41.000 Apparently, the Democrats have lost their minds over this.

00:56:45.000 Howard Feynman of Newsweek, who has just lost it.

00:56:50.000 I mean, really lost it.

00:56:51.000 And he's an NBC News analyst.

00:56:53.000 He tweeted out, The Trump family did its best to turn the lovely rose garden into a neo-fascist parade ground.

00:56:59.000 A neo-fascist parade ground.

00:57:01.000 Howard Feynman.

00:57:02.000 Kurt Eichenwald. 0.96

00:57:04.000 Who is kind of a crazy person.

00:57:07.000 He tweeted out, I still find it unbelievable that the first lady, who has only been a citizen since the middle of GW Bush's second term, had the audacity to wreck the Rose Garden to pull up history dating back a lifetime. These trashy, evil, stupid people need to get out of our house. 1.00

00:57:18.000 What gall she has. Focusing in on all the important issues like the White House at Rose Garden. 1.00

00:57:24.000 Really, well done everyone.

00:57:25.000 Well done everyone.

00:57:27.000 Okay, now I'd be remiss if I did not make a very brief comment on the Kellyanne Conway controversy.

00:57:31.000 That is the controversy of the day.

00:57:32.000 So, Kellyanne Conway has now quit the Trump White House. 0.99

00:57:35.000 She's gonna leave by the end of the month. 0.92

00:57:37.000 Her husband, George, who's been involved in the Lincoln Project, which is a grifter scam on behalf of Democrats.

00:57:43.000 I say grifter scam because supposedly it is a conservative anti-Trump opposition, except they're now endorsing people against Susan Collins in Maine.

00:57:51.000 And so George Conway's been very anti-Trump for quite a long time.

00:57:54.000 There's obviously enormous family problems happening.

00:57:57.000 They have a daughter, a 15-year-old daughter who is 15.

00:57:59.000 She's trying to emancipate from her parents right now.

00:58:02.000 She posts all of these TikTok videos.

00:58:06.000 And the social media videos and the left loves them because it is her basically crapping on her mom. 1.00

00:58:13.000 And they never think, hey wait a second, maybe a 15 year old is not the most reliable source on family relations.

00:58:18.000 And maybe also we should be letting 15 year olds have their privacy even if they wish to remove their privacy from themselves, even if they wish to alienate their own privacy.

00:58:26.000 So now she wrote on Twitter that apparently daughter Claudia had a deleted video where she accused her parents of physical abuse and asking for emancipation.

00:58:38.000 She said that her mom was very physically abusive, very, very verbally abusive.

00:58:41.000 She said at one point her mom had been, she said, my mom got me arrested.

00:58:45.000 She hasn't provided any evidence of this.

00:58:46.000 So this is all really sad.

00:58:48.000 Anybody who is laughing over it is making a very large scale mistake.

00:58:51.000 Family problems are not generally something to laugh at.

00:58:55.000 It's one thing if you're talking about adults.

00:58:57.000 Once the kids get involved, then it really is not something to laugh at.

00:58:59.000 So hopefully the Conway family gets it together, and I'm glad for Kellyanne and for George that they're leaving their sort of public spat to the side and trying to rebuild whatever is left of their family dynamic.

00:59:09.000 Alrighty, so we'll be back here later today with two additional hours of content.

00:59:12.000 There'll be a lot more then.
