The Ben Shapiro Show

Biden Is The Mystery Meat | Ep. 1112

Summary

A key poll suggests that Trump's chances of winning the 2020 election are significantly higher than the polls are letting on, and it points to two reasons why the polls aren't as bad as they seem: Americans are more optimistic about where they are now than they were four years ago, and the media aren't asking the hard questions they should be asking about Joe Biden. Ben Shapiro's full breakdown of the latest polling numbers and why they don't necessarily spell trouble for the Trump campaign, and why the media should be worried about the possibility of a Trump win in 2020, is one of the most important pieces of information you can find on the ground in order to make sense of the current polling numbers, and what it could mean for the 2020 campaign. The rest of the pieces of evidence points to a candidate who can overcome the polls and win the election, and that candidate is Donald Trump. 00:00:00.000 Joe Biden openly states he will not give his position on court backing until after the election.
00:00:04.000 The Commission on Presidential Debate skews the process against Trump.
00:00:07.000 And Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer blames Trump for a terror plot against her.
00:00:11.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.
00:00:11.000 This is the Ben Shapiro Show.
00:00:13.000 The Ben Shapiro Show is sponsored by ExpressVPN.
00:00:21.000 Why haven't you gotten a VPN yet?
00:00:23.000 Visit ExpressVPN.com slash Ben.
00:00:26.000 Okay, so, I've been telling you a lot over the last week and a half about the poll numbers because, and I get a lot of letters from people.
00:00:32.000 Why are you talking about the polls so much?
00:00:33.000 Don't you know the polls are just wrong?
00:00:35.000 I mean, on the national level, the polls were not all that wrong in 2016.
00:00:39.000 On the state level, they were wrong by a couple of points.
00:00:41.000 They were not wrong by 8 or 10 points.
00:00:44.000 Right now, the bottom line is that President Trump is trailing.
00:00:47.000 That does not mean that he has no chance.
00:00:48.000 It does not mean the race is over.
00:00:50.000 It does mean that if I'm going to convey the most up-to-date information, you have to take into account the polling numbers, especially because polling companies generally have an interest in being as accurate as possible, even if you don't like the source of the polling.
00:01:02.000 But there is one poll number today.
00:01:05.000 One poll number today that suggests that Trump's chances are significantly more robust than the polls are letting on is a key poll.
00:01:11.000 It is a poll from Gallup.
00:01:13.000 It is Americans view on whether they are better or worse off than they were four years ago.
00:01:17.000 Now, given Trump's poll numbers and the fact that he is trailing, you would expect that the vast majority of Americans, I mean, we're in the middle of a pandemic.
00:01:23.000 An economic downturn?
00:01:25.000 You would imagine the majority of Americans would say that they're worse off than they were four years ago if all you had done is listen to the poll numbers and the media over the past few months.
00:01:34.000 But here is the actual statistic.
00:01:36.000 As of September 2020, 56% of Americans say they are better off than they were four years ago.
00:01:43.000 56% of Americans.
00:01:47.000 Okay, that compares to 45% in December of 2012, 47% in October of 2004, 38% in October of 1992, and 44% in July of 1984.
00:01:50.000 47% in October of 2004, 38% in October of 1992, and 44% in July of 1984.
00:01:59.000 That is a very, very high number, 56%.
00:02:02.000 If everybody who believes they were better off than they were four years ago voted for Trump, he would win going away.
00:02:07.000 He would win a blowout victory, which suggests a couple of things.
00:02:10.000 One, maybe the polls are actually undersampling people who are somewhat enthusiastic about Trump but are not actually going to talk about it.
00:02:16.000 And two, if Trump could get his personality out of the way, he would be winning this election in a walk.
00:02:21.000 If you are the incumbent president and nearly six in ten Americans believe that they are better off now than they were when you were elected, that is a great number.
00:02:29.000 I mean, literally, Ronald Reagan in 1984 ran on the campaign slogan, are you better off now than you were four years ago?
00:02:37.000 And the American people said yes, and they reelected him in mass numbers.
00:02:40.000 The same thing could happen for Trump if all he did was focus in on his policies and the fact that Democrats have no policies, that when they do have policies, they are radical, that they refuse to state just how radical.
00:02:50.000 And so the media have been reliant on a narrative, and we've been talking about this for months at this point.
00:02:55.000 The narrative is orange man bad, bad man orange, orange bad man.
00:02:59.000 Those are the variations of the theme.
00:03:02.000 And the only theme they have is Trump's personality, and Trump has played into this.
00:03:05.000 If Trump didn't play into this, perhaps the media would be forced to ask serious questions about Joe Biden.
00:03:10.000 Yeah, maybe they wouldn't, but he would spend all of his time pressing that forward.
00:03:13.000 Maybe they would be forced to ask everyday Americans about what they think about the state of the country, because it turns out most Americans are pretty optimistic about where they are as opposed to four years ago.
00:03:21.000 That is a, it's an astonishing stat.
00:03:23.000 It's an unexpected stat, and it's one that should give pause to Democrats.
00:03:26.000 They shouldn't be too comfortable, and it should give some Shot in the arm to the Trump campaign.
00:03:30.000 We'll get to more of this in just one second.
00:03:32.000 The media simply refusing to ask hard questions of Joe Biden.
00:03:35.000 When they do, he just ignores them.
00:03:36.000 We'll get to that in just one second.
00:03:37.000 First, let's be real about your cell phone bill.
00:03:39.000 You're paying too much money.
00:03:40.000 You are.
00:03:40.000 You're paying way too much money.
00:03:42.000 I know.
00:03:43.000 You got a cellular plan with Verizon or AT&T, and T-Mobile.
00:03:46.000 And you think, well, that's the only way I can get coverage.
00:03:47.000 Wrong you are.
00:03:49.000 You could get the same exact sort of coverage with the same exact sort of cell phone towers, and you could pay half of what you're currently paying.
00:03:55.000 The average person who switches to Pure Talk USA is using less than 4 gigs of data a month, but the big carriers are charging you for unlimited data.
00:04:02.000 It's like paying for an entire row on an airplane, but you only need one seat.
00:04:05.000 That's how Pure Talk saves the average person over $400 a year on their wireless service.
00:04:09.000 Unlimited talk, text, 2 gigs of data all for just $20 a month.
00:04:12.000 If you go over on the data usage, they're not going to charge you for it.
00:04:15.000 Folks, switching to PeerTalk, it's the easiest decision you will make today.
00:04:19.000 Saving lots of money? Why wouldn't you do it?
00:04:21.000 Grab your mobile phone, dial pound 250, say Ben Shapiro.
00:04:24.000 When you do, you save 50% off your first month.
00:04:26.000 Dial pound 250, say keyword Ben Shapiro.
00:04:29.000 PeerTalk, it's simply smarter wireless.
00:04:31.000 Dial pound 250, say Ben Shapiro to get started.
00:04:35.000 Dial pound 250.
00:04:36.000 Get rid of that big wireless carrier.
00:04:37.000 Get something that is less expensive.
00:04:39.000 Same coverage.
00:04:39.000 Dial pound 250.
00:04:41.000 Say keyword Ben Shapiro to get started with Pure Talk USA.
00:04:44.000 Okay, so that statistic that Trump Has made people more optimistic than they were four years ago about where they are in the country.
00:04:52.000 That is an astonishingly positive statistic for an incumbent president.
00:04:56.000 But Trump is trailing in the polls.
00:04:58.000 And the media have a stake, obviously.
00:05:00.000 They hate Trump.
00:05:01.000 The coverage of Trump for the last four years since his election.
00:05:04.000 That coverage.
00:05:06.000 Trump has been overwhelmingly bad.
00:05:07.000 I mean, 90% of the coverage has been negative on Trump.
00:05:10.000 Despite all of the accomplishments, despite the fact that the economy was booming, every single thing that Trump has done wrong has been magnified, and every single thing that he has done right has been minimized.
00:05:18.000 To the point where peace breaks out in the Middle East, and suddenly that is now being printed on page A18 of the New York Times.
00:05:24.000 Whereas if Barack Obama had farted anywhere in the general region, it would have been A1 news.
00:05:31.000 Anytime Barack Obama said a thing that the media loved, which was every single day, A1 News.
00:05:35.000 Whenever Trump says something that they don't like, that is A1 News.
00:05:38.000 But when he does something that is wonderful, that is page A18.
00:05:41.000 And right now, the media are so open in their bias.
00:05:44.000 It's one of the reasons why the left cannot be allowed to win this election, because the media apparatus have basically mobilize full score behind the hard radical left position while pretending to be objective at the same time.
00:05:56.000 It's insulting to the American people.
00:05:57.000 It's ridiculous.
00:05:58.000 They've given up any pretense that they once had of objectivity, but then they gaslight you by claiming they continue to be objective journalists.
00:06:04.000 They simply are not.
00:06:06.000 And the best case in point of this is the fact that Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential candidate, the likely next president by the polls, and his running mate, Kamala Harris, refused to answer a very simple but quite important question.
00:06:17.000 Are you going to pack the Supreme Court?
00:06:19.000 Are you going to add seats to the Supreme Court of the United States?
00:06:22.000 Remember, that was a policy so radical that FDR in 1937, when he tried to do this, was rebuked by members of his own party.
00:06:29.000 The Republicans did not control Congress at that time.
00:06:31.000 Democrats overwhelmingly controlled Congress.
00:06:33.000 And Democrats in Congress were like, I think we're going to hit pause on this one.
00:06:37.000 Democrats now, however, are so angry at the prospect of Amy Coney Barrett replacing Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court because they believe the Supreme Court should just be a tool of policymaking on behalf of the left rather than a counter-majoritarian institution designed to prevent excesses that overrun your rights, which is the original design of the Supreme Court.
00:06:57.000 They believe the Supreme Court should just be another tool in their arsenal, and they're so angry that they want to openly make it another tool in their arsenal.
00:07:03.000 This is the game the left play, whether it's the media, or whether it's the Supreme Court, whether it's the executive branch.
00:07:07.000 All institutions become tools in their arsenal.
00:07:10.000 At the same time, they claim that those institutions have institutional legitimacy.
00:07:14.000 So they play this double game where they wreck the institutional legitimacy, but then claim that you should respect the institution because the institutional legitimacy ought to remain.
00:07:22.000 And that is untenable.
00:07:23.000 So Joe Biden was asked directly yesterday, again, again, about court packing.
00:07:28.000 Now remember, Kamala Harris was asked in debate just two nights ago what she would do about court packing, and she refused to answer the question, and Mike Pence kept drilling her on it, and she kept refusing to answer the question, and then eventually, she just called him a racist.
00:07:39.000 So Joe Biden, standing far away from Kamala Harris in an airplane hangar in Phoenix, Arizona, he was asked specifically about court packing.
00:07:46.000 And his answer is so unacceptable for any political candidate that it should have the media up in arms.
00:07:52.000 Imagine.
00:07:52.000 I mean, you don't even have to imagine it.
00:07:54.000 Donald Trump has many, many, many times been asked about particular kind of crazy policies.
00:08:00.000 And Donald Trump's go-to when there is a crazy policy suggestion that he doesn't know anything about is to say, well, we've been thinking about it.
00:08:05.000 We think about all options.
00:08:07.000 All options have been thought about.
00:08:08.000 And the media go, oh, well, that means that he's totally for it, right?
00:08:10.000 I mean, we got to take that seriously.
00:08:11.000 We got to take that stuff super seriously.
00:08:13.000 Now, the difference is, again, that is Trump's go-to option.
00:08:16.000 But Joe Biden has thought pretty seriously about court packing.
00:08:18.000 Kamala Harris came out in 2019 and talked openly about the possibility of court packing.
00:08:24.000 Other members of the Democratic Party, high echelon members of the Democratic Party, have openly backed court packing.
00:08:29.000 In the Democratic debates, many of the candidates said they would back court packing.
00:08:33.000 Joe Biden at the time said he would not.
00:08:34.000 Now he has gone completely silent on the issue, which sort of bespeaks that he may have changed his opinion.
00:08:39.000 So he was asked directly yesterday.
00:08:41.000 This is not the first time.
00:08:42.000 He was asked last week, three separate times in a row, whether he would back court packing.
00:08:45.000 He said, people are already voting.
00:08:47.000 People are already voting.
00:08:50.000 So yesterday he was asked about whether he would back court packing.
00:08:53.000 His answer was mystery meat.
00:08:54.000 It was mystery meat.
00:08:56.000 What could this chicken surprise be?
00:08:58.000 Is it chicken or is it frog?
00:08:59.000 Who knows?
00:09:00.000 You're going to find out afterward.
00:09:01.000 I saw a tweet yesterday.
00:09:03.000 I saw a tweet yesterday characterizing Biden's response here, which is, do you take this woman for better or for worse?
00:09:10.000 Do you pledge your chastity and fidelity?
00:09:12.000 You'll find out after the wedding.
00:09:14.000 Here was Joe Biden doing this.
00:09:15.000 I mean, it's unbelievable.
00:09:18.000 They'll know my opinion in court packing when the election is over.
00:09:21.000 Now look, I know it's a great question, y'all, and I don't blame you for asking it.
00:09:26.000 But you know, the moment I answer that question, the headline in every one of your papers will be about that.
00:09:33.000 Other than, other than, focusing on what's happening now.
00:09:39.000 That is such an unbelievably unacceptable answer.
00:09:41.000 Are you going to completely delegitimize the third branch of government by making it an overtly political institution in which you just stack the court with a bunch of Democrats?
00:09:51.000 And he says, well, you'll find out after the election.
00:09:53.000 You'll find out, you know, afterward.
00:09:55.000 We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it.
00:09:57.000 As Nancy Pelosi once said about Obamacare.
00:09:59.000 We found out what was in it.
00:10:00.000 Won that great.
00:10:02.000 You have to elect me to find out what I'm going to do is a crappy, unbelievably crappy response to, are you going to completely wreck the third branch of government?
00:10:10.000 That's wild.
00:10:11.000 That is wild stuff.
00:10:12.000 And the media just sit there and they accept it.
00:10:15.000 I mean, they really accept it.
00:10:15.000 Seriously.
00:10:17.000 There's an article in The Washington Post today talking about how Republicans pounce.
00:10:22.000 Very, very pouncy.
00:10:24.000 See, here's the rule in the media, as my friend Andrew Klavan has said.
00:10:27.000 When Republicans do something bad, the bad thing is the story.
00:10:30.000 When Democrats do something bad, the Republicans pouncing is the story.
00:10:34.000 The Washington Post headline was, Republicans continue attacking Biden-Harris over hypothetical court-packing question.
00:10:41.000 Hypothetical?
00:10:43.000 It's not hypothetical when your own people have put it out there.
00:10:46.000 When you have said that you refuse to... Hypothetical?
00:10:49.000 Imagine if somebody asked Donald Trump, are you for a federal ban on all abortions from point of conception?
00:10:54.000 And he said, you know what, we'll have to find out after the election where I stand on that particular issue.
00:10:58.000 Maybe, maybe not, I don't know.
00:10:59.000 We're gonna have to find out.
00:11:01.000 You think the media would be satisfied with that answer?
00:11:02.000 But now, it's Republicans pouncing, of course.
00:11:05.000 So much pouncing.
00:11:07.000 It's a hypothetical.
00:11:08.000 Pouncing.
00:11:09.000 According to the Washington Post, Democratic nominee Joe Biden and running mate Kamala Harris are facing growing pressure to say whether they would pack the Supreme Court if the Republican-led Senate names Amy Coney Barrett to the bench.
00:11:18.000 Over the past few days, the question from Republicans, debate moderators, and reporters has dogged the pair.
00:11:23.000 It came up again Thursday when Biden was asked at a campaign stop in Phoenix if he would support expanding the Supreme Court beyond nine justices.
00:11:31.000 It re-answered the conversation in earnest after the death of RBG.
00:11:34.000 Although the Republican-controlled Senate refused to consider Barack Obama's nomination in Merrick Garland in 2016, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his allies have promised to confirm Barrett by November 3rd.
00:11:43.000 Yes, because the Republicans control the executive and the legislature.
00:11:47.000 Or at least the Senate.
00:11:49.000 In response, some Democrats have vowed to leave nothing on the proverbial table should the party take control of the White House and the Senate.
00:11:55.000 Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer hinted he would not rule out court packing.
00:12:00.000 Again, it is amazing that the Washington Post is covering this as a story of Republicans pouncing.
00:12:04.000 If you were talking about the Republicans adding seats to the Supreme Court, which they could theoretically do right now, they have a majority in the Senate.
00:12:11.000 Presumably, the Democrats and the media would not be talking about Democrats pouncing.
00:12:15.000 They'd be talking about the underlying issue.
00:12:17.000 But Joe Biden is so confident that the media will cover his ass for him, that he refuses to answer the most basic questions, knowing that he can literally get away with anything.
00:12:25.000 They can ask him any question under the sun, and he will say, the focus right now, the focus right now should be on Donald Mnuchin.
00:12:33.000 And the media will go, you know what?
00:12:34.000 He's right.
00:12:35.000 That Trump guy, he's bad.
00:12:35.000 He's right.
00:12:36.000 We don't need any questions answered.
00:12:36.000 He's bad.
00:12:39.000 Like, really?
00:12:40.000 Joe, you're right.
00:12:40.000 We got nothing.
00:12:41.000 Let's go ask some questions of Donald Trump.
00:12:44.000 And meanwhile, Joe Biden prepping the way for Kamala Harris to become president.
00:12:47.000 So if you like what you saw in that debate, meaning if you are addled, then Joe Biden has got somebody for you.
00:12:53.000 He says that Kamala Harris was really presidential.
00:12:56.000 Now, the fact that he feels the need to say this demonstrates where everybody's head is at.
00:13:01.000 Now, I don't remember Donald Trump saying this about Mike Pence.
00:13:03.000 I don't remember George W. Bush saying this about Dick Cheney.
00:13:06.000 Well, he's very, very presidential.
00:13:08.000 What I remember more was he did a good job in the debate.
00:13:10.000 See, the president is supposed to be presidential and the vice president is supposed to be vice presidential.
00:13:14.000 But because everybody's afraid that Biden's gonna plot on the job, now Biden is forced to talk about how presidential Kamala Harris is when she is, at the very least, very non-presidential.
00:13:23.000 Smirky McSmirk face.
00:13:24.000 By the way, love how the media treats smirking.
00:13:26.000 If you're a high school student and a Native American activist comes up to your face and bangs a drum in your face and you have an awkward smile, that is a smirk.
00:13:34.000 It's a smirk.
00:13:35.000 It's a racist smirk.
00:13:36.000 If you're Kamala Harris and you smirk for 90 minutes against the Vice President of the United States while he simply lays facts on you, then that means that you are slaying, Queen.
00:13:45.000 Anyway, here was Joe Biden talking about how presidential Kamala Harris was.
00:13:50.000 I thought Kamala did a great job last night.
00:13:54.000 She was really presidential.
00:13:55.000 She stepped out of focus.
00:13:57.000 I was really proud of her.
00:13:58.000 I'm looking forward to seeing her.
00:14:00.000 Well, good news.
00:14:00.000 She'll never have to answer a question, as she did in the debate.
00:14:03.000 Speaking of people who will never have to answer questions, Nancy Pelosi laid out there yesterday that she wants to create a new commission that would be able to objectively evaluate the president's health and mental health and deprive him of the presidency and hand it over to the vice presidency.
00:14:18.000 So, number one, real backhanded slap at Joe right there, isn't that Nancy?
00:14:22.000 I mean, if you're so confident Joe Biden is going to be elected president, it seems like kind of a slap, like you think that Joe's lost his mind and you might have to hand it over to Kamala Harris.
00:14:29.000 But obviously, this is directed at Trump and the belief that the 25th Amendment should not be left to Trump's cabinet.
00:14:33.000 Instead, it should be left to some nonpartisan body.
00:14:37.000 which is to say people appointed by people like Nancy Pelosi.
00:14:39.000 Here is Pelosi talking about changing the 25th Amendment to the Constitution to allow an outside body to evaluate whether the President of the United States ought to continue in his job, which is just insane.
00:14:49.000 When we hear people saying I'm young and I'm a perfect specimen, instead of addressing the fact that what 50,000 people were, in fact, it reports to be in fact that yesterday nearly a thousand people died.
00:15:07.000 What are we talking about here?
00:15:09.000 Tomorrow, by the way, tomorrow, come here tomorrow, we're going to be talking about the 25th Amendment.
00:15:17.000 So what exactly is she talking about?
00:15:19.000 Well, right now, the 25th Amendment allows for the temporary ouster of a disabled president and requires the active participation of a majority of the cabinet.
00:15:27.000 Pelosi, however, is now saying that she wants some other body to determine whether, in fact, the President of the United States ought to ought to be ousted from his job.
00:15:38.000 Pelosi and Representative Jamie Raskin of Maryland said in a press release they will introduce a bill creating a commission to evaluate the presidential mental and physical fitness.
00:15:46.000 The bill would change to establish a commission on presidential capacity to discharge the powers and duties of office that would enable Congress to help ensure effective and uninterrupted leadership in the highest office in the executive branch of government.
00:15:57.000 So in other words, they're no longer going to have to in any way By the way, that addled octogenarian, she's totally fine.
00:16:03.000 on presidential capacity to discharge the powers and duties of office.
00:16:06.000 And they will evaluate whether the president of the United States is actually worthy of continuing in his job.
00:16:12.000 By the way, that addled octogenarian, she's totally fine.
00:16:17.000 We're told that Donald Trump has lost his mind, but Joe Biden, who will not answer a single question and can't get through seven sentences without nearly falling off his feet.
00:16:24.000 And Nancy Pelosi, who has not said a coherent thing in at least two years.
00:16:27.000 These are the people who should decide whether Donald Trump gets to stay in his job after a duly elected president becomes the president.
00:16:34.000 These are the...
00:16:35.000 These are institutional attacks on the Republican government.
00:16:38.000 And I don't mean big R Republican, I mean small R Republican.
00:16:41.000 These are institutional attacks.
00:16:43.000 But the good news is the media hates Trump so much that they will just ignore all of them.
00:16:46.000 In a second, we're going to get to more scandal dogging the Biden campaign that the media simply will never ask Joe Biden about.
00:16:51.000 We'll get to that in just one second.
00:16:52.000 First, Let's talk about hair loss.
00:16:54.000 So, here's the reality.
00:16:56.000 A huge percentage of dudes, two out of three dudes, will experience some form of male pattern baldness by the time they are 35.
00:17:02.000 And you gotta keep the hair that you have, because it is very difficult to regrow hair.
00:17:05.000 In my family, male pattern baldness runs on both sides of my family, and that is why I rely on Keeps.
00:17:10.000 You used to have to go to the doctor's office for your hair loss prescription.
00:17:12.000 Now, thanks to Keeps, you can visit a doctor online and get hair loss medication delivered right to your home.

00:17:26.000 You may have tried them before, probably never for this price.
00:17:29.000 Again, prevention is key because once you start seeing the hair fall out, a little too late.
00:17:34.000 Keeps treatments typically take between four to six months to see results.
00:17:36.000 It's important to act fast.
00:17:37.000 The sooner you start using Keeps, the more hair you will save.
00:17:40.000 Find out why Keeps has more five-star reviews than any of its competitors and more than 100,000 men trust Keeps for their hair loss prevention medication.
00:17:47.000 Okay, meanwhile, stories that are just not going to be covered in the media, other than, you know, a quick blurb.
00:17:50.000 It turns out that Devon Archer, you haven't heard of Devon Archer.
00:17:52.000 He was the business partner of Hunter Biden.
00:17:54.000 Now it turns out he's going to jail.
00:17:56.000 slash Ben to keep the hair that you have.
00:17:59.000 Okay, meanwhile, stories that are just not gonna be covered in the media other than, you know, a quick blurb.
00:18:04.000 It turns out that Devon Archer, you haven't heard of Devon Archer.
00:18:07.000 He was the business partner of Hunter Biden.
00:18:09.000 Now it turns out he's going to jail.
00:18:11.000 So imagine that the business partner of Donald Trump Jr.
00:18:15.000 We're going to jail today.
00:18:16.000 And let's assume Donald Trump Jr.
00:18:18.000 had been jet-setting around the globe picking up bags of cash on behalf of his... while using the name of his president and father.
00:18:24.000 Wouldn't that be like a big scandal?
00:18:26.000 Wouldn't it be?
00:18:26.000 But apparently, Hunter Biden is a complete non-story.
00:18:29.000 And the fact that Hunter Biden's business partner is now headed off to jail for fraud, that of course is a non-story as well.
00:18:34.000 The Wall Street Journal reports today, a federal appeals court reinstated the conviction of a former business associate of Hunter Biden on securities fraud and conspiracy charges ruling a lower court judge erred last year in vacating a jury's verdict.
00:18:46.000 A three-judge panel of the U.S.
00:18:47.000 Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ruled that Devon Archer, quote, knew at least the general nature and extent of the scheme and intended to bring about its success.
00:18:54.000 The fraud involved the sale of $60 million in bonds issued by an economic development corporation affiliated with the Native American tribe.
00:19:00.000 The proceeds were misused by Archer and others, according to prosecutors.
00:19:03.000 Archer and Biden were business partners.
00:19:05.000 At various times, they served together on the board of Ukrainian gas producer Burisma Holdings.
00:19:09.000 Hunter Biden's name was invoked at various stages of the fraud as a selling point in transactions, according to trial testimony.
00:19:15.000 But the son of the Democratic presidential nominee, Joe Biden, didn't know about it, was not involved with that particular scheme, according to Hunter Biden's attorneys.
00:19:22.000 Federal prosecutors never alleged that Hunter Biden was aware of the scheme.
00:19:25.000 However, he was deeply involved with Devon Archer in a variety of businesses where they were traveling around the globe, picking up bags of cash in foreign countries.
00:19:34.000 This, of course, will never be asked.
00:19:36.000 According to Joe Biden, Hunter is pure as the driven snow, so that will never be asked.
00:19:41.000 Meanwhile, Donald Trump may never get the chance to ask some of these questions about court packing or about anything else.
00:19:46.000 Because, of course, the Commission on Presidential Debate announced unilaterally, without consulting medical authorities, that they were simply going to cancel the second presidential debate, essentially.
00:19:56.000 They were going to make it a Zoom debate.
00:19:58.000 Well, normally, in order to do that, they said for health reasons.
00:20:01.000 Wouldn't you have to consult some doctors in order to do that?
00:20:03.000 Well, apparently they didn't even bother to do so.
00:20:06.000 It turns out that today, the doctor for the president, Sean Connolly, released a health update on Trump.
00:20:12.000 He said, This afternoon's vital signs were heart rate 69 beats a minute, blood pressure 127 over 81, which is quite healthy, respiratory rate 15 to 17 breaths a minute, and pulse oximetry 96 to 98% room air.
00:20:27.000 Since returning home, his physical exam has remained stable and devoid of any indications to suggest progression of illness.
00:20:33.000 Overall, he's responded extremely well to treatment without evidence on examination of adverse therapeutic effects.
00:20:38.000 Saturday will be day 10 since Thursday's diagnosis.
00:20:41.000 Based on the trajectory of advanced diagnosis the team has been conducting, I fully anticipate the president's safe return to public engagements at that time.
00:20:47.000 So in other words, Trump can do public events, according to his own doctors, by Saturday.
00:20:51.000 Doesn't matter.
00:20:52.000 The commission on presidential debate decided it was gonna be a Zoom debate.
00:20:57.000 For no apparent reason.
00:20:59.000 Like really, apparently there is no actual health reason why they had to do this.
00:21:03.000 And good news, the media, of course, go right along with this, which is not a shock at all.
00:21:08.000 ABC News has announced a town hall for Joe Biden, moderated by George Stephanopoulos, the partisan hack, Keebler elf, George Stephanopoulos, who has spent the last several weeks simply playing offense on behalf of the Biden campaign, a guy who two nights ago suggested that Mike Pence was mansplaining to Kamala Harris.
00:21:25.000 Now he's going to moderate a town hall.
00:21:27.000 Another propaganda feat for Joe Biden on ABC News.
00:21:31.000 October 15th, the primetime event will take place in Philadelphia, where the former VP will answer questions from voters.
00:21:37.000 So I do love the fact that apparently Biden is going to fly in.
00:21:41.000 He will be at the live event with George Stephanopoulos.
00:21:44.000 I don't think he's going to be there virtually.
00:21:46.000 That's okay.
00:21:47.000 But if there's a debate, that's not okay.
00:21:50.000 Speaking of bias in this entire process, There's another presidential debate moderator who has fallen under scrutiny.
00:21:57.000 His name is Steve Scully.
00:21:59.000 He once interned for Joe Biden, apparently.
00:22:03.000 Which is, like, come on.
00:22:05.000 Like, this is just absurd.
00:22:06.000 They should get rid of the Commission on Presidential Debates.
00:22:08.000 It's a joke.
00:22:09.000 Steve Scully raised eyebrows Thursday night with a tweet that is causing critics to question his objectivity, according to Fox News.
00:22:16.000 Scully is best known as political editor of C-SPAN and host of Washington Journal.
00:22:19.000 He apparently meant a direct message for Anthony Scaramucci.
00:22:23.000 That message was, of course, directed at Anthony Scaramucci.
00:22:27.000 I mean, that should be pretty disqualifying.
00:22:28.000 at Anthony Scaramucci.
00:22:30.000 Scully was set to moderate a town hall debate on October 15th.
00:22:34.000 And that sparked confusion and fury among critics.
00:22:36.000 Odd thing for the next debate moderator to tweet, political reporter Alex Thompson reacted.
00:22:42.000 I mean that should be pretty disqualifying.
00:22:44.000 You literally have a debate moderator who's asking one of Trump's most vocal critics how he should deal with Trump.
00:22:50.000 Openly on Twitter.
00:22:52.000 Wild stuff.
00:22:54.000 This day- All of this debate moderation nonsense needs to stop.
00:22:58.000 As I said yesterday, the best form of debate, honestly, would just be to have Rachel Maddow and me ask questions.
00:23:04.000 At least you know you're going to get harsh questions from both sides of the aisle at this point.
00:23:08.000 Meanwhile, did Joe Biden answer any questions on what he thinks the debate should look like?
00:23:11.000 Of course not.
00:23:12.000 Joe Biden has never answered a question.
00:23:13.000 He need not answer a question.
00:23:15.000 Here was Joe Biden asking about the debate, being asked about the debate, and saying it's irresponsible for him to comment.
00:23:20.000 Literally, his entire campaign is, here I am in a mask and glasses.
00:23:24.000 That's his entire campaign.
00:23:26.000 Here I am.
00:23:26.000 I'm an alive human.
00:23:28.000 Now, I've said for a long time, being an alive human might be enough.
00:23:32.000 But it says something about our political media that that's all they demand of Joe Biden.
00:23:35.000 So they asked him about, you know, how the debate should take place.
00:23:38.000 And instead of him saying, follow the science as he normally does, right, listen to the doctors as he normally does.
00:23:43.000 Now he's like, well, I have no answers for you.
00:23:45.000 You know, carry on your day.
00:23:47.000 Here is Joe Biden.
00:23:49.000 We don't know what the president's going to do.
00:23:51.000 He changes his mind every second.
00:23:53.000 For me to comment on that now would be irresponsible.
00:23:56.000 I think that if I'm going to follow the commission's recommendation, if he goes off and he's going to have a rally, I don't know what I'll do.
00:24:05.000 So he says, I love that.
00:24:06.000 I love that.
00:24:06.000 He says, if he goes out and he has a rally, then I don't know what I'll do.
00:24:10.000 Which is an open suggestion that he knows that Trump is healthy.
00:24:14.000 He still won't have the debate.
00:24:15.000 Amazing.
00:24:16.000 There was talk about how Biden was going to try and avoid the debate.
00:24:19.000 Well, now the Commission on Presidential Debate has just done the work for him by putting forth this Zoom debate nonsense.
00:24:24.000 In just a second, we'll get to Trump's response to all of that.
00:24:27.000 First, let us talk about the fact that you need better employees.
00:24:31.000 Hell, I need better employees.
00:24:33.000 I mean, let's suggest that you wanted to start your show on time.
00:24:36.000 It was a very important day to start your show on time.
00:24:37.000 But your lead producer was too busy going to the bathroom.
00:24:40.000 I mean, here at The Daily Wire, we do not allow you to go to the bathroom except in accordance with National Labor Relations Act restrictions.
00:24:48.000 Okay, and let's just be real about this.
00:24:50.000 Producer Colton, that's on your time, man.
00:24:53.000 It's on your time.
00:24:54.000 Let's say that you needed to replace Producer Colton because he could not control his balance.
00:25:00.000 That means you need to head on over to ZipRecruiter.
00:25:03.000 ZipRecruiter will send your job to over 100 of the web's leading job sites, but they don't stop there.
00:25:07.000 With their powerful matching technology, ZipRecruiter scans thousands of resumes to find people with the right experience and then actively invites them to apply to your job.

00:25:28.000 Right now, should you try ZipRecruiter for free?
00:25:29.000 My listeners can head on over to ZipRecruiter.com slash DailyWire.
00:25:33.000 That is ZipRecruiter.com slash D-A-I-L-Y-W-I-R-E.
00:25:36.000 ZipRecruiter.com slash DailyWire.
00:25:38.000 It is the way to upgrade your staff, even wonderful employees like Colton, who apparently suffer from some sort of medical issue.
00:25:47.000 Go check out ZipRecruiter.com slash DailyWire.
00:25:49.000 Yeah, that got kind of harsh on Colton, I feel like.
00:25:51.000 Just a little harsh.
00:25:52.000 Anyway, anyway, speaking of harsh, the commission on presidential debate, Pretty obviously bailing out Joe Biden here.
00:26:00.000 President Trump said, listen, it's pretty obvious here they're trying to protect Biden.
00:26:03.000 I mean, yes.
00:26:06.000 Yes.
00:26:06.000 Here was Trump yesterday.
00:26:09.000 They didn't even tell us about it.
00:26:13.000 So you just learned this this morning?
00:26:15.000 Yeah, we learned it the same way you learned it.
00:26:17.000 They called up OK, that is 100% true.
00:26:20.000 By the way, Trump has had an alternative suggestion, and Biden hasn't taken him up on it.
00:26:25.000 They're trying like that NBC disaster where he went on to show with Lester Holt.
00:26:29.000 It was like it was meant for a child.
00:26:31.000 OK, that is 100 percent true.
00:26:33.000 By the way, Trump has had an alternative suggestion and Biden hasn't taken him up on it.
00:26:36.000 So Trump's reelection campaign released a statement pointing out that Trump will be medically cleared for safe return by Saturday.
00:26:42.000 He said there is therefore no medical reason why the Commission on Presidential Debates should shift the debate to a virtual setting, postpone it or otherwise alter it in any way.
00:26:50.000 Commission on Presidential Debate chairman Frank Fahrenkopf admits they consulted with no one before unilaterally changing the format of the debate well in advance of knowledge of what the president's condition would be on debate night.
00:27:00.000 The commission must stop protecting Joe Biden from this in-person debate and allow the event to proceed as it was agreed to months ago.
00:27:06.000 The American people can see through this obvious attempt to shield Biden from another shellacking like he got two weeks ago in Cleveland.
00:27:11.000 CPD must reverse course and let the debate proceed.
00:27:13.000 That, of course, is correct.
00:27:15.000 Apparently, Trump is also proposing an alternative, which is, okay, let's hold the second debate, October 22nd.
00:27:20.000 It was supposed to be October 15th and October 22nd for second and third debates.
00:27:23.000 He's saying, instead, let's just delay everything by a week.
00:27:25.000 You're so worried about it?
00:27:25.000 Fine.
00:27:26.000 We'll do the second debate the 22nd.
00:27:27.000 We'll do the third debate October 29th.
00:27:29.000 And Biden's campaign's like, yeah, but that's too close to the election.
00:27:31.000 You can't have it both ways, guys.
00:27:32.000 You've been claiming.
00:27:34.000 That you can't answer simple questions because voting is already underway.
00:27:37.000 So voting is already underway.
00:27:38.000 What do you care how close to the actual election date any of this is?
00:27:41.000 That makes no difference.
00:27:42.000 People have been early voting for months, according to you.
00:27:45.000 Okay.
00:27:46.000 Meanwhile, in other news, and this again goes to media bias, it goes to the really bad faith of Democrats.
00:27:53.000 It's really amazing.
00:27:54.000 It's really amazing.
00:27:54.000 So I have been extremely consistent on my perspective on the connection between political rhetoric and violence.
00:28:01.000 My perspective has been clear for literally years.
00:28:03.000 Okay, here's the perspective.
00:28:04.000 If you are not openly advocating violence, if you're not advocating violence, you are not responsible for violence.
00:28:09.000 And if somebody misuses your words to go do something evil, you are not responsible for them misusing your words to go do evil.
00:28:16.000 Also, you cannot impute to somebody motive that they did not actually show.
00:28:21.000 Meaning that if somebody goes and does something and they have nothing to do with me or Bernie Sanders or Donald Trump or Barack Obama, you cannot then claim that they have something to do with us.
00:28:31.000 You cannot do that.
00:28:33.000 Because that is unfair and it is wrong.
00:28:36.000 There is something called the scope of agency in law.
00:28:38.000 There's a concept called scope of agency.
00:28:40.000 Scope of agency is where I deploy an agent to go do X. I want producer Colton to go pick up something at FedEx for the purposes of the studio.
00:28:50.000 He is now my agent and going to pick up the thing at FedEx for purposes of the studio.
00:28:54.000 If Colton then For some odd reason decides to go out and do cocaine on the side of the road.
00:29:00.000 That is outside the scope of agency.
00:29:01.000 I'm not implying anything about Colton's activities right now.
00:29:05.000 Colton's really taking it out on the show today.
00:29:07.000 The fact is that outside the scope of agency is outside the scope of agency.
00:29:11.000 Well, there is no agency when someone decides to commit a terror attack against the sitting governor in the United States.
00:29:17.000 Okay, it's not like Donald Trump was like, you know what, guys?
00:29:19.000 I want you to go perform a terrorist attack.
00:29:21.000 The reason that I am bringing this up is because the media and the Democrats are now claiming that Donald Trump is responsible for an attempted kidnapping plot against Governor Christine, Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
00:29:31.000 Okay, so, Whitmer, rather.
00:29:33.000 Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
00:29:35.000 According to the Detroit Free Press, the Wolverine Watchmen militia group didn't just plot to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
00:29:40.000 They were on a mission to attack the state capitol and target police officers at their homes as part of a broader mission to instigate a civil war, according to authorities.
00:29:47.000 Thursday, they announced this in announcing felony charges against 13 militia members accused in a sensational case of domestic terrorism.
00:29:54.000 Attorney General Dana Nessel referred to the accused as extremists who are hoping to recruit new members by seizing on a moment of civil unrest to wreak havoc on the country.
00:30:01.000 She identified the militia group as the Wolverine Watchmen, whose members are accused of, among other things, conducting surveillance outside Whitmer's vacation residence, using code language and encrypted messages to throw off police, and planting a bomb under a bridge to divert law enforcement.
00:30:14.000 So obviously an act of tremendous evil they were planning here.
00:30:18.000 Nessel said there's been a disturbing increase in anti-government rhetoric and the reemergence of groups that embrace extremist ideologies.
00:30:23.000 This is more than just political disagreement or passionate advocacy.
00:30:26.000 Some of these groups' mission is simply to create chaos and inflict harm upon others.
00:30:31.000 Okay, so the implication the media have drawn from this is that because these people were anti-government and wanted to start a civil war and were members of what would be probably termed a far-right militia, that they must have been Trump fans or that Trump instructed them to do all of this or something like that, which is like Republicans claiming that the congressional baseball shooting is the responsibility of Bernie Sanders because a Bernie Sanders fan went and shot members of Congress and nearly killed Steve Scalise.
00:30:57.000 But here's the thing.
00:30:58.000 The right generally refrains from this.
00:30:59.000 The left does not.
00:31:00.000 The left tried to blame the Oklahoma City bombing on Rush Limbaugh.
00:31:03.000 Now, the left is attempting to blame this kidnapping plot on Donald Trump.
00:31:08.000 The Wolverine Watchmen group is one of an estimated two to three dozen Michigan militia groups.
00:31:13.000 Some fear it could pose a growing threat, according to the Detroit Free Press.
00:31:17.000 The state has always been a hotbed for militia activity, says Amy Cooter, senior lecturer at Vanderbilt University.
00:31:23.000 Thursday, law enforcement arrested 13 people, including 7 members of Wolverine Watchmen.
00:31:28.000 Apparently, they wanted to kidnap her, take her to Wisconsin, and put her on trial for treason.
00:31:33.000 The conspirators were frustrated and upset about many things, including the fact that during the pandemic, the state was controlling gym openings, they called Whitmer a tyrant b-word, and sought to train and recruit others into their ranks.
00:31:44.000 More than a dozen people, investigators said, met in Dublin, Ohio and sought to form, quote, a society that followed the U.S.
00:31:48.000 Bill of Rights and where they could be self-sufficient.
00:31:50.000 They discussed peaceful and violent ways to do this.
00:31:52.000 Well, you know what is not in the U.S.
00:31:54.000 Bill of Rights?
00:31:54.000 Actually kidnapping sitting members of the government and then attempting to execute them.
00:31:58.000 It turns out these people can't read, apparently.
00:32:01.000 They believe state governments were violating the Constitution and they talked about murdering tyrants or taking a sitting governor.
00:32:07.000 The Wolverine Watchmen was founded by Pete Musico, 42, and Joseph Morrison, 26, who live together in Munith, Michigan, and are now each charged with a threat of terrorism.
00:32:15.000 Throughout the summer, the combined group decided they needed firearms and tactical training and homemade bombs to blow up police vehicles and 200 men to storm the Capitol and take hostages.
00:32:23.000 They also discussed a shooting at the governor's vacation home.
00:32:28.000 So, by the way, most of the militia groups in Michigan, according to this professor, are law-abiding, so not all militia groups are the same.
00:32:35.000 Here's the prosecutor saying that their plan was a civil war.
00:32:38.000 What they actually wanted was tremendous levels of violence in the streets.
00:32:44.000 The individuals in custody are suspected to have attempted to identify the home addresses of law enforcement officers in order to target them, made threats of violence intended to instigate a civil war, and engaged in planning and training for an operation to attack the Capitol building of Michigan and to kidnap government officials, including the governor of Michigan.
00:33:09.000 Okay, so this prompted Governor Gretchen Whitmer To say that this was all Trump's fault.
00:33:17.000 So this is an incredible thing.
00:33:18.000 It really is.
00:33:19.000 It's like if Republicans had come out after the congressional baseball shooting and overtly blamed Bernie Sanders.
00:33:23.000 No one did this.
00:33:25.000 Only members of the left get away with this kind of crap.
00:33:27.000 Implying that their political opponents are responsible for acts of violence of which they not only do not approve, but in this case, Trump's DOJ was intimately involved in the actual prosecution here.
00:33:36.000 But here is Gretchen Whitmer.
00:33:38.000 I mean, it's pretty, it is pretty despicable to claim that your political opponents are responsible for acts of violence against you.
00:33:46.000 Not the ones who are actually performing the violence, but people, broadly speaking, who oppose your lockdown policies.
00:33:51.000 But that's exactly what Gretchen Whitmer does right here.
00:33:55.000 Just last week, the President of the United States stood before the American people and refused to condemn white supremacists and hate groups like these two Michigan militia groups.
00:34:06.000 When our leaders speak, their words matter.
00:34:10.000 They carry weight.
00:34:13.000 When our leaders meet with, encourage, or fraternize with domestic terrorists, they legitimize their actions.
00:34:22.000 And they are complicit.
00:34:24.000 Okay, so I have a question then.
00:34:25.000 If we are now going to use this logic, presumably, the entire Democratic leadership is responsible for the excesses of Black Lives Matter who have been burning down cities.
00:34:32.000 Again, Bernie Sanders is responsible for the congressional baseball shooting.
00:34:34.000 This would make Barack Obama responsible for the Dallas police shootings that happened back in 2016.
00:34:39.000 It would make Barack Obama responsible for the riots that happened in Milwaukee.
00:34:44.000 We can play this game all day long.
00:34:46.000 We can play it all day.
00:34:49.000 Okay, but this game is a stupid game, and it's an immoral game.
00:34:52.000 And as a game, apparently Democrats get away.
00:34:53.000 And the media just backed them.
00:34:54.000 Tim Alberta of the Washington Post.
00:34:56.000 He tweeted out, Okay, you remember that back in the middle of the pandemic, April 17th, Trump tweeted out in all capital letters, Liberate Michigan!
00:35:15.000 And I at the time was like, this seems like kind of a dumb tactic.
00:35:18.000 Like, why don't you make a policy and then tell people what your policy is?
00:35:21.000 But, you know, Liberate Michigan is not a call to do violence against the Michigan government.
00:35:27.000 Amy Siskind, who is another member of the left-wing media, she tweeted out, The FBI thwarted what they described as a plot to violently overthrow the government and kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
00:35:36.000 The plot was hatched by Michigan militia.
00:35:38.000 Recall the liberate Michigan and repeated rhetoric from Trump.
00:35:42.000 Okay, so, number one.
00:35:42.000 were not shy about this. Keith Boykin of CNN. He said Trump calls CNN the enemy of the people.
00:35:46.000 Cesar Sayoc sends pipe bombs to CNN. Trump tweets about anarchists and agitators. Kyle Rittenhouse kills two people in Kenosha. Trump tweets, reliberate Michigan. Six men try to kidnap the governor of Michigan. Okay, so number one, if you say that CNN is quote unquote the enemy of the people, I've decried that language because frankly, I don't think that you should use the language of Joseph Stalin to describe members of the media. Okay, that does not mean you are are responsible for people then threatening the media with acts of violence.
00:36:12.000 Any more than the Democrats have been calling Trump, they're calling him a traitor and a person who is giving incentive to murder.
00:36:17.000 Now if somebody goes and tries to assassinate the President of the United States on that basis, I still don't think Keith Boykin's responsible for that.
00:36:23.000 By the way, linking Kyle Rittenhouse with any of this is absurd.
00:36:25.000 Kyle Rittenhouse did not go to Kenosha to murder anybody.
00:36:28.000 So even listing him there is just, in this list, is just absurd on its face.
00:36:33.000 Liberate Michigan is not... Is there any evidence that we have seen that it was that tweet that had anything to do with anything?
00:36:40.000 Like, seriously, did... At some point, shouldn't you actually require some evidence?
00:36:44.000 There's more evidence that a congressional baseball shooter was mimicking the language of Bernie Sanders than there is that these guys were following Trump's lead, especially because the alleged ringleader declared Donald Trump an enemy openly.
00:36:55.000 He didn't like Trump.
00:36:57.000 He thought Trump was a cuck.
00:36:58.000 He wanted civil war.
00:37:01.000 He wanted unrest because he believed that it was up to the militias to liberate the country.
00:37:05.000 Here is the alleged ringleader literally calling Donald Trump an enemy.
00:37:08.000 But we ignore all of this, of course, because the narrative has to be promulgated.
00:37:12.000 Trump is not your friend, dude.
00:37:15.000 And it's it amazes me that people actually like believe that when he's shown over and over and over again that he's a tyrant.
00:37:24.000 Every single day.
00:37:25.000 Every single person that works for government is your enemy.
00:37:30.000 Okay, so Donald Trump's the president, calls him a tyrant, used exactly the same language that he used about Gretchen Whitmer.
00:37:37.000 Does not matter.
00:37:38.000 According to the media, this is all Trump's fault.
00:37:41.000 This is how despicable the media are.
00:37:42.000 I mean, truly despicable.
00:37:43.000 And the fact that Gretchen Whitmer gets away with that, that's a despicable thing to say.
00:37:46.000 It's a despicable thing to say.
00:37:48.000 It is gross at the highest level.
00:37:51.000 I think that Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar are horrific cretins and anti-Semites.
00:37:56.000 I do not think they are calling openly for violence against Jews in the United States.
00:38:00.000 And I would not blame Ilhan Omar or Rashida Tlaib if some terrorist, some Islamist terrorist, decided to kill Jews.
00:38:06.000 I would not blame Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar.
00:38:08.000 I can condemn their rhetoric without suggesting that they are calling for open violence against Jews.
00:38:13.000 Okay, you can do the same thing with, believe it or not, you can make these distinctions.
00:38:16.000 Nuance is allowed in politics, but here's the point.
00:38:18.000 Lack of nuance is the goal.
00:38:20.000 It is not a bug in the system, it is a feature for Democrats and for the media.
00:38:23.000 They love the lack of nuance, and they love being able to cast Trump as some sort of terrorist ringleader on the basis of nothing.
00:38:32.000 I mean, it's just, it's yuck, yuck, gross.
00:38:36.000 Okay, we'll get to more of this in just one second.
00:38:38.000 Of course, this is all about creating a broader overall narrative, which is, again, making the election referendum on Trump personally, and making Trump a stand-in for supposed American racism.
00:38:47.000 And if the square peg does not fit into the round hole, then you just hammer away at the peg until it fits into the hole.
00:38:53.000 We're gonna see this in just a second.
00:38:54.000 America is racist.
00:38:56.000 America's evil, and it doesn't matter how you have to get to that conclusion, and how you get to the conclusion that Trump is the ringleader of this racist, evil America.
00:39:04.000 You just keep hammering away.
00:39:05.000 You just keep hammering away.
00:39:06.000 And the media are doing it.
00:39:07.000 Our business leaders are doing it.
00:39:10.000 The culture clash in this country is getting to the point where it is getting almost unbridgeable.
00:39:14.000 We'll talk about more of this in just one second.
00:39:17.000 As you may have noticed, this is a really important election year.
00:39:19.000 A really important election year.
00:39:21.000 We've got Senate races, okay?
00:39:22.000 These Senate races are going to decide whether the Democrats are able to add new states to the Senate, pack the Supreme Court.
00:39:27.000 You got a presidential race, in which President Trump is running against Joe Biden, and Joe Biden refuses to answer simple questions about how radical he is going to be, and the stuff he has already said in his platform is damned radical enough.
00:39:38.000 If you're a conservative, you need to get active.
00:39:39.000 The number one question I get from folks is, how can I get more active?
00:39:42.000 I'm telling you right now, you need to go to keepamericaamerica.com right now.
00:39:42.000 What can I do?
00:39:47.000 Voting has already started in some states.
00:39:50.000 It is about to start in others.
00:39:51.000 If you live in Ohio, early in-person voting began 28 days before the election.
00:39:55.000 In Arizona, it is 27 days before the election.
00:39:59.000 So you need to go to keepamericaamerica.com right now.
00:40:02.000 They will get you the most trusted, up-to-date voting information.
00:40:04.000 While you're there, please commit to take one person to the polls, just one, or help them complete a mail-in ballot.
00:40:09.000 The 2016 election was decided by thousands of votes, not millions.
00:40:11.000 This could be a very close election again.
00:40:13.000 Every little bit helps.
00:40:14.000 You need to do your part.
00:40:15.000 Go to KeepAmericaAmerica.com right now.
00:40:18.000 Make this the biggest get-out-the-vote effort in conservative history.
00:40:20.000 That's keepamericaamerica.com.
00:40:22.000 Go check them out right now.
00:40:23.000 Keepamericaamerica.com.
00:40:25.000 Okay, in just a second, we're going to get to the broader, overarching narrative Democrats are trying to draw.
00:40:31.000 Every data point will be skewed and twisted to fit the narrative that Trump is a racist and a stand-in for racist America.
00:40:38.000 A deeply divisive and disgusting message.
00:40:40.000 We'll get to more of this in just a second, but first.
00:40:42.000 Earlier this week, I told you guys about a conference taking place at the end of October, Expert Ownership Live.
00:40:46.000 It's a virtual two-day event about leadership through crisis.
00:40:49.000 The conference will be hosted by David and Jason Benham, more commonly known as the Benham Brothers.
00:40:54.000 I know the Benham Brothers.
00:40:55.000 They are excellent conservatives.
00:40:56.000 They are people who actually remember them from Home and Garden TV.
00:40:59.000 They had a show there.
00:41:00.000 And then it turns out they were conservative Christians and HGTV was like, well, we can't deal with those people.
00:41:04.000 And they stood on principle.
00:41:05.000 I'm excited to tell you that both brothers, David and Jason, are going to be special guests appearing on All Access Live tonight.
00:41:11.000 Get on there.
00:41:11.000 You can talk to them about the current state of business, how to build a multimillion dollar company.
00:41:15.000 And you can ask about their past experience as minor league baseball players, which is kind of fun.
00:41:18.000 These guys are great.
00:41:19.000 A lot of fun to hang out with.
00:41:20.000 So, if you aren't a member yet, it is time to join the ranks as an All Access member.
00:41:24.000 Use code Benham right now to get 20% off.
00:41:26.000 Remember, only All Access members get to join these All Access live sessions, where a DailyWire host hops on during the week to chat with you on live stream and in the comments.
00:41:33.000 The All Access membership also features not one.
00:41:36.000 But you, leftist-seer tumblers, with your membership as well as early, sometimes exclusive access to new Daily Wire products.
00:41:42.000 So, use code Benham right now, get 20% off if you're not already a member, and join the Benham Brothers live.
00:41:47.000 You don't want to miss another great episode of the Sunday Special, by the way, coming up this weekend.
00:41:50.000 This weekend, we're joined by Daily Wire's very own God King, Jeremy Boring.
00:41:53.000 It has finally happened.
00:41:55.000 Jeremy and I will talk about how we started working together, what his sad, dull life was like before we started working together, how we launched The Daily Wire, where we go from here.
00:42:03.000 Head on over and watch at dailywire.com, listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever else you get your podcasts.
00:42:09.000 Also, it is indeed that glorious time of the week when I give a shout out to a Daily Wire member.
00:42:13.000 Today, It's Pence's head fly on Twitter, who is not prepared for the incoming tear duct tsunami.
00:42:18.000 In the pic, the world's greatest beverage vessel is sitting in a baking pan to help contain the bountiful harvest of tears.
00:42:23.000 The caption reads, I don't know what happened.
00:42:25.000 Pence asked Harris about packing the court, and it just started overflowing.
00:42:28.000 I gotta find a bucket.
00:42:30.000 Be right back.
00:42:30.000 Hashtag leftist tears tumbler.
00:42:31.000 Hashtag VP debate.
00:42:32.000 Well, perhaps Cardi B can help you find both a bucket and a mop.
00:42:35.000 Yes, the leftist tears were indeed flowing.
00:42:37.000 Well done, Vice President Pence.
00:42:39.000 Thanks for the shout out.
00:42:39.000 Thanks for being a Daily Wire member.
00:42:42.000 You are listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.
00:42:45.000 Alrighty, so there is a broader overarching narrative that the Whitmer allegations tie into.
00:42:57.000 And that is that America is a deeply racist place filled with white supremacist racists who are being emboldened by the president of the United States.
00:43:03.000 And Democrats are fighting back against this horrific infrastructure in the United States.
00:43:09.000 And corporate America has joined in on this ridiculous quest The media are all in on all of this.
00:43:14.000 All you have to do is just cast your reason out to the side.
00:43:17.000 All you have to do is just become completely blind, deaf, and dumb to the actual real world in order to believe this kind of crap.
00:43:24.000 So a few examples.
00:43:25.000 Karen Attia, who's just an awful columnist over at the Washington Post.
00:43:28.000 And she's a woman of color herself.
00:43:30.000 I believe that she was up for the Pulitzer Prize at one point.
00:43:35.000 But she's definitely a victimized human.
00:43:37.000 She writes on international affairs and social issues.
00:43:40.000 She has a piece today titled, America hates to let black women speak.
00:43:44.000 All about how Mike Pence kept man-terrupting.
00:43:46.000 Man-terrupting.
00:43:49.000 Kamala Harris.
00:43:50.000 Karen Attia says it's hard to break glass ceilings while walking on a tightrope.
00:43:53.000 But in her historic debate appearance on Wednesday, that's exactly what Kamala Harris had to do.
00:43:58.000 That plexiglass had to be installed for the showdown between Harris and Vice President Pence was a visible reminder that the Trump administration has recklessly played down a deadly virus.
00:44:06.000 The plexiglass was also an onstage reminder of the barriers that non-white women face when vying for political power in this country.
00:44:13.000 Is that what the plexiglass was?
00:44:15.000 Was it?
00:44:16.000 Because, um, it's plexiglass.
00:44:17.000 So, uh, it was a visible reminder, was the plexiglass.
00:44:20.000 Very, very interesting stuff.
00:44:21.000 Also, just gonna note, by most counts, she actually talked more than he did.
00:44:27.000 Also, is it really true that America hates to let black women speak?
00:44:31.000 Oprah Winfrey is a very, very rich black woman.
00:44:35.000 She's been a very, very rich black woman, maybe the most powerful and influential cultural voice in America over the past 30 years.
00:44:40.000 Because America hates to let black women speak?
00:44:42.000 Michelle Obama is the most popular woman in America by polling data.
00:44:46.000 She happens to be a black woman.
00:44:47.000 Does America hate to let black women speak?
00:44:50.000 The main reason that Kamala Harris was selected as Vice President is for her race and her gender.
00:44:53.000 That's not me saying that.
00:44:54.000 Joe Biden said it.
00:44:55.000 He said he wanted a black woman.
00:44:57.000 Right, so...
00:44:59.000 Is it because America hates to let black women speak?
00:45:02.000 The amount of stupidity that you have to fall prey to to believe this narrative is truly astonishing.
00:45:07.000 But don't worry.
00:45:08.000 It's not just our media that pushed this nonsense.
00:45:10.000 It is also the business apparatus.
00:45:13.000 Because businesses everywhere have decided that it is their job to go woke.
00:45:17.000 The woker they get, the more money they will make.
00:45:19.000 Now, I think they are mistaken in this particular assessment.
00:45:22.000 I think that the woker they get, the more people are going to tune out and find alternative ways of doing business.
00:45:26.000 But here is the latest from Corporate America, which again is risk averse.
00:45:30.000 And all they do is listen to the squeakiest wheel.
00:45:32.000 That's all they do is listen to the squeakiest wheel, which is why eventually the right wing is going to get kind of squeaky as well.
00:45:38.000 And then Corporate America is going to have to make a choice.
00:45:40.000 Do you wish to simply ignore all the squeaky wheels, which is what you should do in order to provide your product and services to people?
00:45:45.000 Or are you just going to appeal to some squeaky wheels and ignore the other squeaky wheels?
00:45:50.000 In which case you will end up with two separate business lines.
00:45:52.000 The reason I bring this up is because Yelp today announced the dumbest policy I have ever seen a major corporation announce.
00:45:58.000 This is the stupidest policy I have ever heard.
00:46:01.000 Yelp is now going to allow consumer alerts.
00:46:05.000 You will be alerted if somebody Alleges that a business has engaged in racism.
00:46:11.000 I'm not kidding.
00:46:12.000 So, some crazy person walks into the local Mickey D's and then pretends that somebody wrote a racist thing on their receipt.
00:46:19.000 This has happened like a thousand times now in the media.
00:46:22.000 Yelp will now report that on the page and issue a consumer alert that perhaps this business is the site of racism based on an unsourced, unverified allegation by random user.
00:46:32.000 I can't imagine how people would misuse this.
00:46:35.000 I can't imagine that people would attempt to shake down businesses by basically saying, you know what you could do?
00:46:40.000 You could, you know, give me like a free coupon or I could just go on Yelp and I could allege that you guys are mean to black people.
00:46:46.000 I can't imagine that anybody would misuse this kind of thing.
00:46:50.000 According to Yelp, quote, When we notice an unusual spike in activity on a business's Yelp page, our team of moderators will investigate and temporarily disable content as we place an alert on the business's page to warn users that some of these reviews may not be based on firsthand experiences.
00:47:07.000 But here's what we will do when an incident involving racism occurs.
00:47:10.000 We'll default to a general public attention alert to inform consumers if someone associated with the business was accused of or the target of racist behavior.
00:47:19.000 We'll only escalate to a business accused of racist behavior alert when there's resounding evidence of egregious racist actions from a business owner or employee, such as using overtly racist slurs or symbols.
00:47:28.000 This alert will always link to a news article from a credible media outlet so users can learn more.
00:47:32.000 Oh, so they'll launder all this crap through CNN.
00:47:35.000 Great.
00:47:36.000 So as soon as you have a credible news outlet, namely a left wing news outlet that accuses Mickey D's of racism, then you'll just link to it and then you'll issue an alert, a business accused of racist behavior alert.
00:47:47.000 If somebody is accused of racism, however, there will just be a public attention alert.
00:47:52.000 So there, you don't even need evidence.
00:47:53.000 A public attention alert will just... I can't imagine how this will be abused.
00:47:56.000 Cannot imagine it.
00:47:58.000 And you're seeing this kind of crap emerge at corporations around the country.
00:48:01.000 You already saw Uber earlier this year suggest that they were going to give special discounts to black-owned businesses, which, by the way, I believe is federally illegal.
00:48:10.000 I don't think that you actually are allowed to discriminate on the basis of race in pricing.
00:48:14.000 It's an amazing, amazing thing.
00:48:16.000 But according to Yelp, communities have always turned to Yelp in reaction to current events at the local level.
00:48:20.000 As the nation reckons with issues of systemic racism we've seen in the last few months, there is a clear need to warn consumers about businesses associated with egregious, racially charged actions to help people make more informed spending decisions.
00:48:32.000 Oh, is there?
00:48:33.000 Is there now?
00:48:35.000 Yes, no way this is misused.
00:48:37.000 Probably it'll be great.
00:48:38.000 Probably it'll be great.
00:48:41.000 Meanwhile, how endemic is systemic racism?
00:48:43.000 When I talk about the media and the corporate complex pushing this notion that America is systemically racist, and that if you don't say that America is systemically racist, you yourself are racist, I mean it.
00:48:54.000 There's an article today from the Washington Post that is so absurd on its face, Okay, now let's be real about George Floyd.
00:49:01.000 it will not be. It is part of a six article series from the Washington Post titled, Born with Two Strikes, How Systemic Racism Shaped George Floyd's Life and Hobbled His Ambition.
00:49:12.000 Okay, now let's be real about George Floyd. Whatever happened to George Floyd? And it looks to me like excessive use of a police force to sit on the guy's neck for eight minutes and 40 seconds.
00:49:26.000 Okay, but that's excessive use of force.
00:49:28.000 The case for murder is a lot shoddier.
00:49:31.000 In fact, even the case for excessive force may not be shoddy depending on whether he was suffering from excited delirium.
00:49:35.000 Okay, whatever the case is with George Floyd, George Floyd was not some Wonderful person who was who was bound for glory in American life, but then was thwarted by systemic racism in America.
00:49:49.000 That is not what happened to George Floyd.
00:49:51.000 What happened to George Floyd can be a tragedy.
00:49:53.000 It could also be a crime, but that does not mean that America is responsible for his personal failures throughout the course of his life.
00:49:59.000 The Washington Post tries to claim that George Floyd was bound for the Supreme Court.
00:50:02.000 I kid you not.
00:50:03.000 I'm not kidding you.
00:50:04.000 Here are the first words.
00:50:05.000 George Floyd did time in jail for pointing a gun at a pregnant woman's stomach.
00:50:10.000 By the way, the woman, I believe, was of color.
00:50:13.000 He pointed a gun at her stomach during an armed robbery.
00:50:16.000 But according to the Washington Post, that's just because of systemic American racism.
00:50:20.000 I'm dead serious.
00:50:21.000 This is the idiotic narrative.
00:50:23.000 His life began as the last embers of the civil rights movement were flickering out.
00:50:23.000 You ready?
00:50:27.000 Its horrific, videotaped end ignited the largest anti-racism movement since, with demonstrators the world over marching for racial justice in his name.
00:50:34.000 During the 46 years in between, George Perry Floyd came of age as the strictures of Jim Crow discrimination in America gave way to an insidious form of systemic racism, one that continually undercut his ambitions.
00:50:44.000 Early in life, he wanted to be a Supreme Court Justice, then a pro-athlete.
00:50:47.000 At the end, he just longed for a little stability, training to be a commercial truck driver.
00:50:52.000 All were bigger dreams than he was able to achieve in his version of America.
00:50:55.000 Weird, because Clarence Thomas grew up in the home of sharecroppers and ended up on the Supreme Court.
00:50:59.000 Condoleezza Rice went to a church that was firebombed by racists.
00:51:02.000 It turns out that Oprah Winfrey grew up in tremendous... She was a single mom in tremendous poverty.
00:51:09.000 She ended up kind of successful.
00:51:11.000 Michelle Obama's been pretty successful.
00:51:12.000 Barack Obama's been pretty successful.
00:51:14.000 But George Floyd was hobbled by systemic racism.
00:51:16.000 He was going to be a Supreme Court Justice was George Floyd.
00:51:18.000 It just ended up by coincidence that he was in and out of jail for nearly all of his adult life.
00:51:22.000 And that he ended up dying with more fentanyl in his system than a horse could handle.
00:51:27.000 I mean, like, this is the most absurd contention.
00:51:31.000 It's absurd.
00:51:32.000 While Floyd's lifespan coincided with many advancements for Black Americans, says the Washington Post, some of them dramatic, his personal path highlights just how much these hard-fought gains remain out of reach for millions like him.
00:51:42.000 My mom, she always used to tell us growing up in America, you already have two strikes.
00:51:45.000 As a Black man, Floyd's younger brother, Phil Anise, said in an interview, you're going to have to work three times as hard as anybody else if you want to make it in the world.
00:51:52.000 Like many Black Americans, Floyd was behind long before he was born.
00:51:54.000 And the whole thing is about how George Floyd was a victim throughout his life.
00:51:58.000 Now, again, let's be real about this.
00:52:00.000 The end of his life can be a tragedy, and also his entire life can be a series of bad decisions.
00:52:06.000 Okay?
00:52:07.000 His entire adult life appears to be a series of bad decisions.
00:52:12.000 And yet, again, this is the fault of white America.
00:52:15.000 It's the fault of white America.
00:52:17.000 Amazing, amazing, amazing stuff.
00:52:19.000 But this is the narrative that the media are attempting to draw.
00:52:22.000 The narrative that's being drawn by people up to and including Michelle Obama is that America is racist and terrible, and that people who are protesting are not in fact rioters and looters, they are just wonderful, peaceful protesters.
00:52:31.000 And we have to ignore the rioting and the looting because of the greater point, which is that America is so systemically racist that Michelle Obama is probably the best-selling author of the last 15 years in the United States, a front-runner for the presidential nomination for the Democrats, If Joe Biden does not win, or even if Joe Biden leaves office at some point, it's hard to be.
00:52:48.000 It's so terrible to be a black person in America that literally the most admired people in America are nearly universally black at this point.
00:52:55.000 Barack Obama is black.
00:52:56.000 Michelle Obama is black.
00:52:57.000 LeBron James is black.
00:52:58.000 Look at a field in the United States and you will see black faces in positions of power, which is a great thing.
00:53:04.000 It speaks to the tolerance of America, the diversity of America.
00:53:07.000 It speaks to the fact that we have an open meritocracy.
00:53:09.000 That is an excellent, excellent thing.
00:53:10.000 But according to Michelle Obama and the Democrats, again, America is systemically racist and systemically evil.
00:53:16.000 So racist and evil that people like George Floyd, according to the Washington Post, are victims of systemic American racism.
00:53:21.000 Again, the Washington Post printed an actual article claiming that George Floyd's life was a series of misadventures because of systemic American racism, not because he was a repeat criminal who was in and out of jail nearly his entire adult life.
00:53:32.000 So here was Michelle Obama just a couple of days ago.
00:53:34.000 Downplaying, rioting and looting, pretending that they don't exist in a video where she was calling Trump and America, by extension, completely racist.
00:53:42.000 They're stoking fears about black and brown Americans, lying about how minorities will destroy the suburbs, whipping up violence and intimidation.
00:53:53.000 And they're pinning it all on what's been an overwhelmingly peaceful movement for racial solidarity.
00:54:01.000 It's true.
00:54:02.000 Research backs it up.
00:54:04.000 Only a tiny fraction of demonstrations have had any violence at all.
00:54:09.000 Only a tiny fraction.
00:54:10.000 Hundreds have had violence.
00:54:11.000 Hundreds have had violence.
00:54:13.000 A tiny fraction.
00:54:15.000 The study that she's talking about suggested that only about 7% of the protests across the United States devolved into actual violence.
00:54:21.000 Oh, well, you know, well, if only 7% of Tea Party protests had devolved into actual violence, probably that would be mostly peaceful as well.
00:54:28.000 Completely ignoring rioting and looting to say that Trump is a racist for pointing out the rioting and looting bespeaks a particular vision of the United States that is quite ugly and is quite wrong.
00:54:37.000 Hey, it is a vision of the United States shared by people like Colin Kaepernick, who has been treated as a hero, like an actual hero, for being an extremely wealthy, as it turns out, mediocre NFL quarterback.
00:54:49.000 He had one good season and then he sucked so much that he was benched for Blaine Gabbert.
00:54:52.000 And that guy knelt for the national anthem on the basis, by the way, of a shooting that happened, I believe, in Oakland that turns out was justified by the police.
00:55:00.000 He wore a pair of socks suggesting that cops were pigs.
00:55:03.000 This guy is hailed as a hero.
00:55:04.000 Now, he is saying not only that America is deeply racist, of course, in every respect.
00:55:09.000 Also, he, this new goodwill ambassador for the NFL, he has suggested That the police ought to be completely defunded.
00:55:17.000 He published an essay on Tuesday with a missive describing a change of heart he's experienced since holding his kneeling positions in 2017.
00:55:24.000 He says he is now opposed to reforming law enforcement at all.
00:55:27.000 He prefers a total abolition of police in prisons.
00:55:29.000 Don't worry, he's not a radical, guys.
00:55:31.000 He's not a radical.
00:55:32.000 He just wants mainstream police reform.
00:55:35.000 He's just worried about excessive police use of force.
00:55:37.000 He's not a radical in any way, Colin Kaepernick.
00:55:39.000 He is the heart and soul of racial justice reform in the United States.
00:55:44.000 Under the subheading title, F-Reform, Kaepernick wrote his thinking was, quote, fastened to a reformist framework.
00:55:50.000 He admitted he missed the larger picture, or even major changes to policing would produce similar problems to those that, in Kaepernick's mind, currently plague law enforcement, according to Emily Zanotti for Daily Wire.
00:56:01.000 The focus on individual punishment will never alter the outcome of a system rooted in black death, said Kaepernick.
00:56:06.000 I wanted it to stop.
00:56:06.000 I wanted change.
00:56:08.000 I wanted to reform what I saw.
00:56:09.000 Yet the reforms often proposed, use of force policies, body cameras, more training, police accountability, were the same recycled police reforms consistently proposed in the past.
00:56:16.000 And in both the past and the present, these reforms have done nothing to stop the actions that force us to say their names.
00:56:22.000 So what does he want?
00:56:24.000 He wants the end of policing and the end of prisons, which is crazy.
00:56:29.000 You need police to enforce the law?
00:56:30.000 Colin Kaepernick needs the police to protect, presumably, his multi-million dollar estate and his very expensive cars that he has achieved in this horrifically racist and backward country.
00:56:41.000 He says, despite the steady cascade of anti-black violence across this country, I'm hopeful we can build a future that imagines justice differently.
00:56:47.000 A future without the terror of policing in prisons.
00:56:49.000 Terror of policing.
00:56:50.000 It seems like terror of criminals would be a more justified terror.
00:56:54.000 A future that prioritizes harm reduction, redemption, and public well-being in order to create a more just and humane world.
00:57:00.000 Oh, isn't that nice?
00:57:01.000 Of course, this doesn't involve any solutions, as you may have noticed.
00:57:04.000 He says the ever-present threat of premature death at the hands, knees, chokeholds, tasers, and guns of law enforcement has only further ingrained its anti-black foundation into the institutions of policing.
00:57:14.000 In order to eradicate anti-blackness, we must also abolish the police.
00:57:17.000 The abolition of one without the other is impossible.
00:57:21.000 He says that this will have wide-ranging effects, but he resists the urge to explain how ending law enforcement will result in an end to homelessness and other social ills, other than to speculate that money spent on policing will be redistributed in a way not guided by white supremacy.
00:57:33.000 Of course, white supremacy.
00:57:34.000 He says, by abolishing policing in prisons, not only can we eliminate white supremacist establishments, we can create space for budgets to be reinvested directly into communities to address mental health needs, homelessness and houselessness, access to education and job creation, as well as community-based methods of accountability.
00:57:48.000 Ah, yes.
00:57:49.000 If we just dump trillions of dollars into local government initiatives focused on like, you know, say like Head Start programs or midnight basketball, probably that will solve the crime problems.
00:57:57.000 Except that the only thing that ever solved the crime problem in the United States is more cops on the street.
00:58:01.000 End of story.
00:58:02.000 That's the end of it.
00:58:03.000 Okay, if there is one robust finding in social science, it is that more cops on the streets means less crime.
00:58:09.000 But of course, Kaepernick doesn't care about that because he doesn't have to deal with the consequences of crime.
00:58:12.000 He's got the entire media massaging his shoulders as he declares the entire police establishment racist.
00:58:17.000 And he's got the Democratic Party mimicking this language.
00:58:21.000 It is pretty amazing stuff that Kaepernick, again, he's supposed to be a moderate.
00:58:24.000 He continues to say the same things that Michelle Obama says.
00:58:27.000 They keep saying things like the threat of death from law enforcement against black Americans is ever-present.
00:58:31.000 It is hard to think of a graver lie than this.
00:58:34.000 That is such an unbelievable lie.
00:58:36.000 Statistically speaking, it is not ever-present.
00:58:38.000 Statistically speaking, there are 42 million black Americans.
00:58:42.000 In the last several years, the number of black unarmed Americans killed by the police has been under 20.
00:58:47.000 Out of 42 million people, But apparently the threat of death is ever-present, no matter what you are doing.
00:58:54.000 Okay, this is again an attempt to draw a narrative about America that is just a lie.
00:58:59.000 It is just a lie.
00:59:00.000 And that lie has consequences, because as it turns out, those who want to defund the police are jacking up the rates of homicide and violence.
00:59:08.000 I love this.
00:59:08.000 The Washington Post finally noticing this.
00:59:10.000 Quote, the homicide rate is spiking.
00:59:12.000 A troubled police department is reeling from street demonstrations seeking racial justice and accountability, and a city budget is ravaged by the coronavirus economy.
00:59:18.000 This is in Oakland.
00:59:20.000 The push to reshape police departments is occurring in cities across the country, but it is perhaps nowhere more evident than here in Oakland, where veteran activists want to sharply reduce the police budget.
00:59:29.000 But much of the broader community is struggling with what that could mean.
00:59:32.000 In a place that for the past decade has been dedicated to rethinking how it polices its people, the argument for a smaller force and larger social service agencies has gained momentum.
00:59:40.000 The nearly immediate calls for cuts of up to half of the police department's $300 million budget were popular among protesters.
00:59:46.000 But cutting a municipal police force in a large city has proved highly complex at a time when the economic slowdown caused by the pandemic has greatly reduced the amount of public money to go around and crime has spiked.
00:59:56.000 Oakland has seen a surge in shootings and homicides, which in the second quarter of this year had more than doubled from the previous one.
01:00:02.000 Violence and vandalism that have come with some of the street protests have rattled a business community that supports, in principle, a more preventive approach to addressing crime.
01:00:09.000 One of the beautiful things about being a Democrat, about being a member of corporate America that backs this kind of anti-racist garbage, and I put anti-racist in scare quotes because that's the Ibram Kendi, Robin DiAngelo version of anti-racism, which has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with neo-Marxist claptrap.
01:00:26.000 The predictable result of this are more minorities getting hurt, more people dying, more businesses being looted, more businesses being broken into.
01:00:34.000 But Colin Kaepernick doesn't have to care.
01:00:36.000 And Michelle Obama doesn't have to care.
01:00:37.000 They don't have to care.
01:00:38.000 They know full well the consequences of what they say.
01:00:40.000 But since they are being back massaged by a democratic establishment that is perfectly willing to, and not just willing, eager to forward the narrative of racist America, These are the heroes.
01:00:51.000 These are the heroes in America, the people who are making life worse every day for people desperately in need of more law enforcement, not less law enforcement, people desperately in need of more opportunity, not less opportunity, and people desperately in need of more encouragement in a free society, not the pervasively disgusting message that you are born with two strikes on you, no matter what, in the United States if you are born black, which is just a lie.
01:01:14.000 Alrighty, we'll be back here today with two additional hours of content.
01:01:17.000 Otherwise, we will see you here on Monday.
01:01:19.000 Try not to wreck things this weekend.

01:01:29.000 So see if you could do me that little favor.
01:01:31.000 If not, whatever.

01:02:03.000 You know, the Matt Wall Show, it's not just another show about politics.
01:02:06.000 I think there are enough of those already out there.
01:02:08.000 We talk about culture, because culture drives politics, and it drives everything else.
01:02:13.000 So my main focuses are life, family, faith.
01:02:18.000 Those are fundamental, and that's what this show is about.
