The Ben Shapiro Show - Biden’s Anti-Violence Malarkey | Ep. 1086

00:00:00.000 Joe Biden denounces violence on all sides, but never mentions Black Lives Matter, or Antifa, as the media sing his praises.

00:00:07.000 Trump defends Kyle Rittenhouse and paintball gun-wielding protesters in Portland, and the media demand Trump visit with Jacob Blake's family.

00:00:13.000 This is the Ben Shapiro Show.

00:00:13.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.

00:00:24.000 Your data is your business.

00:00:25.000 Protect it at expressvpn.com slash Ben.

00:00:29.000 Okay, so yesterday, Joe Biden traveled to Pennsylvania, not to Kenosha, Wisconsin, because he understood that the backdrop of burned cities, cities burned by people presumably who largely support him, would have been kind of bad.

00:00:39.000 So instead, he went to Pittsburgh.

00:00:40.000 He flew out of his basement to Pittsburgh.

00:00:42.000 He spoke for approximately 12 minutes.

00:00:43.000 He got back in his plane.

00:00:45.000 He got back in his basement.

00:00:46.000 That was his schedule yesterday.

00:00:48.000 And in the process of those 12 minutes, he apparently did something great and phenomenal.

00:00:52.000 He said, violence is bad.

00:00:54.000 Violence is very, very bad, guys.

00:00:57.000 Now, this is really not enough.

00:00:59.000 And the way you know this isn't enough is because the riots continued in Portland last night.

00:01:04.000 Saying violence is bad is apparently all that was required of Joe Biden.

00:01:06.000 Now, that's kind of weird.

00:01:07.000 It's a weird take, because normally, if you're going to denounce violence, what you have to do is denounce the movement that is causing the violence.

00:01:14.000 You have to denounce the people who are associated with the violence.

00:01:16.000 You can't just come out and say, all violence is bad.

00:01:19.000 This would be called obfuscating.

00:01:21.000 In fact, it would be a form of moral cowardice.

00:01:23.000 To do the routine where there is violence in America's major cities, and then you just say, you know what?

00:01:27.000 I don't like things burning.

00:01:29.000 Violence is not good.

00:01:30.000 That is completely useless.

00:01:31.000 In fact, it is not only useless, it is counterproductive when you then go ahead and grant credence to all of the arguments of the people who are trying to literally burn buildings.

00:01:39.000 And that's exactly what Joe Biden did.

00:01:41.000 But the media have set up a bar so low for Joe Biden, so unbelievably low for Joe Biden, that it would be nearly impossible for him not to clear the bar unless he were actually dead.

00:01:50.000 And I joke about Joe Biden being dead.

00:01:52.000 And the truth is, he's only about half dead.

00:01:54.000 Right?

00:01:54.000 He's only mostly dead.

00:01:56.000 I've seen worse.

00:01:57.000 I've seen worse.

00:01:58.000 He's only mostly dead.

00:02:00.000 So all Joe Biden really had to do, according to the media, was just come out and be like, rioting is bad and looting is bad.

00:02:04.000 And that's it.

00:02:04.000 That's it.

00:02:05.000 And stay awake for 12 minutes.

00:02:07.000 And take no questions.

00:02:08.000 And turn around and go back to his basement in Delaware.

00:02:11.000 And that's precisely what Joe Biden did.

00:02:12.000 And the media celebrated.

00:02:13.000 What an act of heroism.

00:02:14.000 Where is Trump doing the same thing?

00:02:15.000 Why can't Trump say that violence and looting are bad?

00:02:18.000 Okay, Trump has said that violence and looting are bad.

00:02:19.000 You know what else Trump has done?

00:02:21.000 He has offered federal force So this is really not about President Trump.

00:02:24.000 These are not Trump supporters in the major cities who are burning and rioting and looting.

00:02:27.000 the federal aid that President Trump has offered, and then claim that this is all Trump's fault.

00:02:32.000 So this is really not about President Trump.

00:02:34.000 These are not Trump supporters in the major cities who are burning and rioting and looting.

00:02:38.000 And so far, the only evidence we have of somebody who is a Trump supporter killing anybody, it probably looks like self-defense, which is that Kyle Rittenhouse case, which we'll get to in just a little while.

00:02:47.000 Yet the media treated Joe Biden's statement yesterday as a unifying presidential statement.

00:02:51.000 And this is very reminiscent of the treatment that the media used to give Barack Obama, who would make unbelievably divisive statements on issues ranging from race to riots.

00:02:59.000 And then they would say, well, didn't he just bring the country together?

00:03:02.000 See, Obama had a gift of speaking incredibly vaguely, such that you could project your feelings onto him.

00:03:07.000 And Joe Biden is a great front man for exactly the same thing.

00:03:11.000 Because Joe Biden, as you will see in the speech that he gave yesterday, he said the quiet part out loud.

00:03:16.000 He said, do I look like a radical?

00:03:17.000 And the answer is no, he doesn't look like a radical.

00:03:19.000 In fact, he looks like the front man for a radical group. 0.74

00:03:22.000 Joe Biden looks like the guy they put out front who doesn't look radical specifically so they can then make him his meat puppet, their meat puppet, and basically just manipulate him however they damn well please.

00:03:33.000 And the way you can tell they are doing this is again, an act of moral courage would be to say Antifa is evil and they are committing acts of evil. 0.93

00:03:41.000 An act of moral courage would be to say that the Black Lives Matter movement has rioters and looters associated with it who are evil. 0.98

00:03:48.000 Right?

00:03:48.000 That would have been the act of moral courage.

00:03:50.000 And in fact, exactly that sort of moral courage was demanded of President Trump, quite rightly, with regard to Charlottesville, as I mentioned yesterday.

00:03:57.000 But it's never demanded of Joe Biden.

00:03:58.000 In fact, if you listen to Joe Biden's little address yesterday, I did a word count on it.

00:04:04.000 Joe Biden name-checked armed militias.

00:04:07.000 He name-checked armed militias or right-wing militias three times.

00:04:11.000 He did not mention Antifa or BLM.

00:04:14.000 He name-checked white nationalists once and white supremacists once.

00:04:17.000 If you listened to his speech yesterday, what you would have gathered from it, if you'd come from Mars and just landed in the middle of this political cycle, you'd have gathered that armed white bands of people We're right wing. 0.74

00:04:28.000 We're gathering in America's major cities and rioting and looting and robbing and burning.

00:04:32.000 That's what you would have gathered from the speech, because not once did he name check the actual groups that were committing these acts of violence.

00:04:39.000 Now, I've been informed by the left that silence is violence, that if you don't if you don't repeat the messages they want you to repeat, you're very bad.

00:04:44.000 I've also been informed by the left.

00:04:46.000 It's very important to say their names.

00:04:48.000 And so we have said the names of people on this program, and we've reviewed the cases of people on this program who are shot by police.

00:04:54.000 And we've talked about the legal situations regarding each one of these people.

00:04:58.000 We've talked about the George Floyd situation and whether that actually constitutes a second degree murder or whether it just constitutes excessive force.

00:05:04.000 We've talked about the Jacob Blake case.

00:05:06.000 We've talked about the Breonna Taylor case.

00:05:08.000 We've talked about the Rayshard Brooks case.

00:05:10.000 Those are all names.

00:05:11.000 We've said all of them here on the show.

00:05:13.000 Well, if you're going to do, say their names so that we can talk about the real issues at play in America, then you must, you must say the names of the groups that are actually committing the violence.

00:05:22.000 Joe Biden didn't do that.

00:05:23.000 In fact, Joe Biden played a rather nasty little trick, and the media were completely complicit.

00:05:28.000 The gap between what Biden should have said and what Biden did say was completely filled by the media.

00:05:33.000 The media are now in the business of backfilling whatever they think Biden should say by pretending he said it.

00:05:38.000 So let's go through what Joe Biden actually said, because this was apparently an earth-shatteringly good speech, a very, very powerful speech that basically fulfilled all of Joe Biden's obligations.

00:05:48.000 We're going to go through in detail in a way that the media will not today.

00:05:50.000 We're going to go through Joe Biden's speech and we're going to talk about what he actually said and what he should have said and what he didn't say.

00:05:55.000 And what he didn't say is, of course, the most important part of this particular formula.

00:05:59.000 So Biden shows up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, against a backdrop of American flags looking Not great.

00:06:06.000 I mean, as we'll see, Joe Biden kind of stumbled and bumbled his way through this one.

00:06:10.000 And there's a reason that there's talk of him not debating President Trump. 0.98

00:06:13.000 The man has clearly declined, which is a separate issue from the fact that he's a moral coward.

00:06:18.000 But he began his speech by suggesting that President Trump is the one who is rooting for the riots, which again is a weird take considering that it is Mayor Ted Wheeler, a Democrat in Portland, who has allowed riots to continue unabated for three straight months, that it was Seattle that allowed a full-on communist terror state to be set up in the middle of their city, that it's Chicago that had to raise the bridges because the Chicago Loop was being ransacked, that it was Washington, D.C. where the suburbs were actually being ransacked in the middle of the BLM protests slash riots and looting, That it was New York City where Fifth Avenue was being

00:06:47.000 attacked.

00:06:48.000 Led by Bill de Blasio.

00:06:49.000 None of these places tend to be particularly Trump-friendly.

00:06:52.000 Nor are the people who are rioting and looting doing so at the behest of President Trump.

00:06:56.000 Those people hate President Trump.

00:06:57.000 Yet, here was Joe Biden blaming Trump for everything bad that happens.

00:07:00.000 Again, this was the theme of the DNC.

00:07:03.000 Joe Biden and the Democrats continue to try and make the election referendum on Donald Trump's character.

00:07:06.000 It's difficult to make it a referendum on Donald Trump's character when your party has poo-pooed Antifa.

00:07:11.000 I'm old enough to remember because I'm more, again, than three months old, when Republicans and Democrats held a hearing in the Senate, and Antifa was mentioned repeatedly, and Democrats literally refused to acknowledge that Antifa existed.

00:07:23.000 Anyway, here was Joe Biden trying to blame Trump for this yesterday in Pittsburgh.

00:07:26.000 The incumbent president is incapable of telling us the truth, incapable of facing the facts, and incapable of healing.

00:07:33.000 He doesn't want to shed light.

00:07:36.000 He wants to generate heat, and he's stroking violence in our cities.

00:07:41.000 Oh, he's the one who's, first of all, stroking violence.

00:07:44.000 Stoking violence.

00:07:46.000 I understand that everything looks like stroking to Joe Biden, particularly when he is in any sort of close contact with a woman who is apparently not related to him.

00:07:56.000 No, he's not stroking violence in the cities, Joe.

00:07:59.000 That would be the Democrats who continue to maintain lack of order in their cities.

00:08:04.000 You know what stops disorder?

00:08:05.000 Order.

00:08:06.000 And you know what?

00:08:06.000 Democrats have not provided that.

00:08:07.000 OK, so then here is the part where everybody was like gaga over Joe Biden.

00:08:11.000 What what what courage?

00:08:13.000 OK, so.

00:08:14.000 Remember the narrative here.

00:08:15.000 The narrative according to Joe Biden, and you'll see it played throughout this speech, is that Donald Trump is responsible for the rioting and the looting, that police brutality is responsible for the rioting and the looting, that white nationalists and armed right-wing militias are responsible for the rioting and the looting.

00:08:29.000 It is not, in fact, radical racial activists who are going around burning and looting.

00:08:33.000 It is not, in fact, radical communists and anarchists like members of Antifa.

00:08:37.000 It is just those three forces.

00:08:38.000 Those are the only ones that are bad.

00:08:40.000 The only ones who are bad here are Trump, The quote-unquote armed right-wing militias and the police.

00:08:46.000 Those are the only three groups that are bad.

00:08:48.000 So here he was going after the cops.

00:08:51.000 And now we have to stand against violence in every form it takes.

00:08:55.000 Violence we've seen again and again and again of unwarranted police shooting, excessive force, seven bullets to the back of Jacob Blake, knee on the neck of George Floyd, killing of Breonna Taylor in her own apartment.

00:09:10.000 Violence of extremists and opportunists.

00:09:13.000 Right-wing militias.

00:09:15.000 This is insane.

00:09:16.000 Okay, this is an insane statement. 0.66

00:09:17.000 And it's an act, again, of moral cowardice.

00:09:19.000 We have to stand against violence in every form it takes.

00:09:21.000 And where does he begin?

00:09:22.000 He begins with the cops.

00:09:23.000 The cops are the bad guys.

00:09:25.000 Again, this is supposed to be the unifying speech?

00:09:27.000 This is the guy who's gonna bring the country together?

00:09:29.000 He begins with the idea that the biggest problem in America is police violence.

00:09:33.000 Excessive force.

00:09:34.000 And then, the number one case he cites is the case of Jacob Blake.

00:09:38.000 Which is nuts!

00:09:39.000 Okay, again, the case of Jacob Blake is a case where a man had an open warrant for sexual assault and domestic abuse. 0.80

00:09:46.000 The only reason the cops were there is because a prior victim of sexual assault by Jacob Blake called the cops because that morning, according to the New York Post, he raped her again.

00:09:55.000 He went into her room where she was sleeping with her kid and shoved his fingers up her. 1.00

00:10:03.000 Okay, this is according to her allegation.

00:10:04.000 The cops showed up.

00:10:05.000 They tried to arrest him.

00:10:07.000 He refused to be arrested.

00:10:08.000 They tried to tase him.

00:10:09.000 He wouldn't stay on the ground.

00:10:10.000 He walked around the side of the car.

00:10:12.000 He reached into his car.

00:10:13.000 There was a knife on the floorboards of the driver's side of his car, and they shot him.

00:10:17.000 And this is the number one case of violence in every form it takes, according to Joe Biden.

00:10:21.000 And this is the great unifying speech?

00:10:23.000 This is the great unifying speech?

00:10:25.000 He cites George Floyd as one of these cases of the violence that is completely unnecessary.

00:10:31.000 You can make the case on George Floyd that it was excessive force.

00:10:34.000 And in fact, prosecutors will make that case.

00:10:36.000 The case on second degree murder is a lot less certain, especially because there are separate autopsies concluding that he died because there was an enormous amount of fentanyl in his system enough to kill a horse.

00:10:46.000 The killing of Breonna Taylor may be a tragedy, but it was not in fact a law violation.

00:10:53.000 They had a justly taken no knock warrant on her apartment.

00:10:56.000 There's a man in the apartment who shot at the cops and in the crossfire, Breonna Taylor was killed.

00:11:00.000 There's now very solid evidence that has been put forth that linked Breonna Taylor with drug trafficking.

00:11:05.000 Okay, that does not mean that she should have died, but to pretend that what happened there was a result of police malice.

00:11:12.000 And then who else does he cite?

00:11:14.000 Violence of extremists and opportunists.

00:11:16.000 What kind of extremists?

00:11:17.000 What kind of opportunists, Joe?

00:11:19.000 Who are you talking about there?

00:11:20.000 I have no idea what that means.

00:11:21.000 Who are the extremists?

00:11:22.000 Who are the opportunists?

00:11:23.000 And then right-wing militias.

00:11:24.000 So just to, again, get this straight, Joe Biden is condemning violence from all sides except for the people who he thinks are part of his coalition, Antifa and BLM.

00:11:32.000 That is what he is condemning yesterday.

00:11:34.000 We'll continue with this.

00:11:34.000 This was the constant theme.

00:11:35.000 And again, the media just filled in the gap for him.

00:11:37.000 The media are like, well, now he's condemned all violence.

00:11:39.000 Where's Trump condemning all the violence?

00:11:41.000 He didn't condemn all violence.

00:11:42.000 He condemned violence from people that he doesn't like.

00:11:45.000 And he completely ignored the vast bulk of violence that's been happening in the United States since May.

00:11:50.000 He ignored it.

00:11:51.000 And instead decided to cast that as a right-wing problem, which is the highest form of gaslighting I've seen in politics in quite some time.

00:11:58.000 And we've seen a lot of gaslighting this year.

00:11:59.000 We'll get to more of this in just one second.

00:12:01.000 First, let's talk about how frustrating it is to pay for something, then find out that you could have gotten a much better deal elsewhere.

00:12:07.000 This happens pretty much every time you look at that cell phone bill.

00:12:09.000 You're like, wow, why is this costing me like hundreds of dollars a month?

00:12:13.000 I'll tell you why.

00:12:14.000 Because you're paying for the marketing efforts by those phone companies.

00:12:16.000 And not only that, you're also paying for unlimited data that you probably aren't using.

00:12:20.000 Well, think of all the money you automatically give away with this.

00:12:23.000 Now, if you've got AT&T or Verizon or T-Mobile, they'll all want to charge you for data and perks they'll never use.

00:12:28.000 And this is why you need PureTalk USA.

00:12:30.000 PureTalk gives you the exact same coverage, same towers, same bars.

00:12:33.000 It costs you half.

00:12:33.000 No contract.

00:12:34.000 No excessive fees.

00:12:36.000 Right now, enjoy unlimited talk text, 2 gigs of data, all for just $20 a month.

00:12:40.000 The average person is saving $400 a year on their wireless bill.

00:12:43.000 So, grab your mobile phone, dial pound 250, say Ben Shapiro.

00:12:47.000 When you do, you'll save $250 off any iPhone, including the new iPhone SE.

00:12:51.000 Again, that is pound 250, say keyword Ben Shapiro.

00:12:54.000 Pure Talk USA.

00:12:56.000 Simply smarter wireless.

00:12:57.000 Again, dial pound 250, say keyword Ben Shapiro.

00:13:01.000 Make the magic happen.

00:13:02.000 Save money on your cell phone bill and get the exact same service.

00:13:04.000 Again, Pure Talk USA, pound two five zero say keyword Ben Shapiro to get started.

00:13:11.000 OK, Joe Biden continued along these lines and this is the and now he's really getting going here, guys, because he says rioting and looting are bad now.

00:13:20.000 It is true that 13 members of his campaign staff literally paid to bail rioters and looters out of jail in Minneapolis.

00:13:27.000 It is true that his vice presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, joined that group and tried to have these people bailed out of jail.

00:13:35.000 It is also true that members of the Democratic Party have routinely pretended that rioting and looting are not happening, and that if they are happening, they are the natural outgrowth of legitimate anger.

00:13:44.000 That's the Ayanna Pressley position. 1.00

00:13:46.000 But apparently, Joe Biden said enough yesterday, because he says, I know, again, the moral bar is so low here, that all he had to say, according to the media, was, I don't like when people break into businesses and burn stuff.

00:13:57.000 Here was Joe Biden saying he doesn't like it when people break into businesses and burn stuff.

00:14:01.000 And to derail any hope and support for progress.

00:14:05.000 The senseless violence of looting and burning and destruction of property.

00:14:09.000 I want to make it absolutely clear, something very clear about all of this.

00:14:14.000 Rioting is not protesting.

00:14:16.000 Looting is not protesting.

00:14:19.000 Setting fires is not protesting.

00:14:22.000 None of this is protesting.

00:14:24.000 It's lawlessness, plain and simple.

00:14:27.000 And those who do it should be prosecuted.

00:14:30.000 Violence will not bring change.

00:14:32.000 It will only bring destruction.

00:14:35.000 It's wrong in every way.

00:14:37.000 It divides instead of unites, destroys businesses, only hurts the working families that serve the community.

00:14:45.000 It makes things worse across the board, not better.

00:14:48.000 Now, I'm happy that he's saying that crimes should be prosecuted because it turns out that Democratic DAs all across the United States, Democratic states' attorneys all across the United States have decided to not prosecute people who have involved themselves in rioting and looting and violence.

00:15:01.000 In fact, they've decided to let them out of jail.

00:15:04.000 In fact, the man who shot the Antifa member, who allegedly shot a Trump supporter to death in Portland the other day, was arrested on June 5th, and then he was immediately released without any charges being filed against him, despite a gun charge against him.

00:15:16.000 So I'm glad that Joe Biden has decided to go back to being tough on crime Joe Biden from 1994.

00:15:20.000 Oh, wait, he's not going to do any of that.

00:15:22.000 OK, then, of course, Joe Biden moves on to his real point, which is that it's Donald Trump's fault.

00:15:26.000 Now, in here is the implicit threat.

00:15:28.000 The implicit threat here is that if Donald Trump is reelected, things are going to get worse.

00:15:31.000 Elect me and magically all of this will disappear.

00:15:33.000 Now, it probably isn't true because the truth is, I don't think that Joe Biden is actually in control of the rioters and looters.

00:15:38.000 as demonstrated by the fact that the writing and looting continued last night in Portland, as demonstrated by the fact that we had major riots in the United States, in Ferguson, in Baltimore, in Milwaukee, while Joe Biden was vice president of the United States. 0.98

00:15:50.000 So this magical notion that Joe Biden is going to heal all divides and patch over the American soul is sheer crap. 0.93

00:15:57.000 I mean, it's just not true at all. 0.93

00:15:58.000 But the threat is there.

00:16:00.000 We'll get to Joe Biden's tacit threat, the tacit threat to the United States, which is if you keep electing people we don't like, then people that I like are going to keep burning things.

00:16:08.000 We'll get to that in a second.

00:16:09.000 First, let us talk about how important it is to protect your online data.

00:16:12.000 I mean, you know, you know, there are lots of people who are out there to hack you.

00:16:15.000 There's all sorts of malware that is out there to make your life miserable.

00:16:18.000 There's ransomware that is designed to lock up files that you need unless you pay somebody exorbitant amounts of money.

00:16:23.000 A lot of evil folks out there who want to invade your data.

00:16:26.000 And this is why you need PCmatic.

00:16:28.000 PCmatic is a next-generation antivirus designed to stop modern threats like ransomware.

00:16:32.000 Independent testing from AV-Test just named PCmatic a top performer in the cybersecurity industry, giving it the best performance award for 2019.

00:17:01.000 And if you act right now, PCmatic has offered my listeners a free month of security protection with the purchase of an annual license.

00:17:15.000 Again, get world-class security that keeps your computer running great.

00:17:18.000 Go to PCmatic.com slash Ben.

00:17:20.000 That's PCmatic.com slash Ben.

00:17:23.000 Okay, then, Joe Biden continues, and of course, he blames Donald Trump.

00:17:27.000 And the implicit threat here is if you keep electing Donald Trump, the violence will continue.

00:17:31.000 But if you elect me, magically, things will go away.

00:17:33.000 Well, weird, weird.

00:17:34.000 So either he's in control of the rioters or he's not in control of the rioters.

00:17:37.000 But here was Joe Biden making the tacit threat.

00:17:40.000 Fires are burning and we have a president who fans the flames rather than fighting the flames.

00:17:46.000 But we must not burn.

00:17:49.000 We have to build.

00:17:50.000 This president long ago forfeited any moral leadership in this country.

00:17:57.000 He can't stop the violence because for years he's fomented it.

00:18:01.000 You know, he may believe mouthing the words law and order makes him strong, but his failure to call on his own supporters to stop acting as an armed militia in this country shows how weak he is.

00:18:17.000 Does anyone believe there'll be less violence in America?

00:18:19.000 If Donald Trump is reelected.

00:18:21.000 In other words, if you elect me, the violence will stop.

00:18:23.000 By the way, it is amazing to know.

00:18:25.000 Amazing.

00:18:26.000 This entire speech at no point does Joe Biden say anyone who supports me is out there writing and looting needs to stop right now.

00:18:31.000 I'm talking to I may support the agenda of BLM, but if you are associated with BLM and you're rioting and you're looting, stop that right now.

00:18:38.000 You're not doing good work.

00:18:39.000 Antifa, if you're out there right now listening to the sound of my voice and I'm Joe Biden and you think that you're helping me out, you're not.

00:18:45.000 Stop it.

00:18:46.000 He won't say any of that stuff because he specifically will not call out anybody on his own side of the aisle.

00:18:50.000 He won't.

00:18:50.000 You think those people are Trump supporters?

00:18:52.000 So while he's saying that armed militias are being emboldened by President Trump, it's not the armed militias that are causing the violence in America's major cities.

00:18:59.000 This has been going on for months on end.

00:19:01.000 Months on end.

00:19:04.000 This was a seriously despicable speech.

00:19:07.000 It really was.

00:19:08.000 And the fact that everybody is trying to treat it as though it was a monumental statement of moral courage just demonstrates their own biases.

00:19:15.000 Because if Donald Trump gave the same exact speech, if he gave the same exact speech, right, in reverse, it would be Charlottesville.

00:19:23.000 And this would be the reason that Joe Biden decided to run.

00:19:25.000 OK, so here is Joe Biden saying, talking about the crises that are facing the United States.

00:19:29.000 Again, you may notice one crisis facing the United States that he refuses to call out.

00:19:33.000 He's going to name you a bunch of crises.

00:19:35.000 And again, he's going to name check the white nationalists who, again, were not responsible for like the white nationalists.

00:19:40.000 They're responsible for a lot of bad things. 1.00

00:19:42.000 They're evil.

00:19:43.000 They don't like people like me with my funny little hat and my Judaism and everything.

00:19:47.000 They've literally targeted me.

00:19:49.000 But here's Joe Biden blaming the white nationalists for a bunch of Antifa members and Black Lives Matter members running around burning things and attacking police officers and generally making life unlivable in major swaths of American cities.

00:20:01.000 We need justice in America.

00:20:03.000 We need safety in America.

00:20:06.000 We're facing multiple crises.

00:20:08.000 Crises under Donald Trump have kept multiplying.

00:20:12.000 COVID.

00:20:14.000 Economic devastation, unwarranted police violence, emboldened white nationalists, a reckoning on race, declining faith in the birth This is an incredible litany that he puts out there.

00:20:30.000 Again, the litany of issues facing the United States.

00:20:32.000 This is a speech about violence and looting and rioting.

00:20:35.000 Here are the things that he names.

00:20:36.000 COVID, which is not Trump's fault.

00:20:38.000 Economic devastation, which is a direct result of COVID and of insane democratic lockdowns that continue in states like New York and New Jersey, where there's no uptick and an extraordinarily low rate of transmission.

00:20:47.000 Unwarranted police violence.

00:20:49.000 He name checks that first.

00:20:50.000 It's about the cops.

00:20:50.000 The cops are bad guys.

00:20:52.000 White nationalists. 0.95

00:20:54.000 What do they have to do with anything going on in America's major cities?

00:20:57.000 Again, even the cases where you've got the militia members who are showing up in these cities.

00:21:01.000 Patriot Prayer is not a white nationalist group.

00:21:02.000 Kyle Rittenhouse was not a white nationalist.

00:21:05.000 A reckoning on race.

00:21:06.000 I love the thought peddling there.

00:21:07.000 Oh, it's a reckoning.

00:21:08.000 What we're watching, a reckoning.

00:21:09.000 So when BLM burns cities, that's a reckoning, guys.

00:21:13.000 It's a reckoning.

00:21:14.000 But don't worry, this was, again, I've been told, a statement of moral courage.

00:21:17.000 And then Joe Biden says the quiet part out loud.

00:21:19.000 He says, listen, I'm the soft face of the radicals behind me.

00:21:22.000 And he says, look at me, look at me.

00:21:24.000 I'm not the, I'm not radical.

00:21:26.000 I'm not a socialist.

00:21:27.000 Do I look like somebody who's in favor of rights?

00:21:29.000 No, you don't, Joe. 0.97

00:21:30.000 You look like a corpse. 0.84

00:21:32.000 You don't. 0.99

00:21:32.000 You look like the dead front. 0.99

00:21:33.000 You look like El Cid. 0.97

00:21:34.000 You look like a dead man propped onto a horse so that the radicals behind you can charge forward to victory. 0.96

00:21:39.000 That's what you look like. 0.53

00:21:40.000 That is what Joe Biden looks like.

00:21:41.000 That's why he's there.

00:21:43.000 Joe Biden is not there.

00:21:44.000 Maybe he's there because there are a lot of moderate Democrats who didn't want those people running the show.

00:21:48.000 But in effect, what Joe Biden is, is a front man for that.

00:21:50.000 He proved that by selecting as his running mate Kamala Harris, who again, was explicitly asking for rioters and looters to be bailed out of prison in Minnesota.

00:22:00.000 Here is Joe Biden saying, don't I make like a nice facade for all the radicalism, don't I?

00:22:04.000 You know me.

00:22:06.000 You know my heart.

00:22:08.000 You know my story, my family story.

00:22:10.000 Ask yourself, do I look like a radical socialist with a soft spot for rioters?

00:22:16.000 Really?

00:22:19.000 I want a safe America, safe from COVID, safe from crime and looting, safe from racially motivated violence, safe from bad cops.

00:22:30.000 Let me be crystal clear.

00:22:33.000 Safe from four more years of Donald Trump.

00:22:37.000 Again, that is amazing that right now you're watching riots in the cities and you're like, oh, yeah, that will keep you safe from Trump.

00:22:43.000 Marauding orange bad man.

00:22:45.000 Mm hmm.

00:22:46.000 Mm hmm.

00:22:47.000 OK, in a second, we'll get to more of the this is Donald Trump's fault, because this is a bizarre case, like a really bizarre case.

00:22:53.000 Remember, the people who are riding in these cities are all people who are going to vote for Biden if they vote.

00:22:58.000 Not one of those people is a Trump supporter, not one.

00:23:01.000 We'll get to more of this in just one second.

00:23:03.000 First, let us talk about the fact that as we slowly adjust to what's happening in the United States, it's now been months and months and months and months, one of the things you probably don't want to be doing is heading on over to the post office.

00:23:12.000 This is why you should be using stamps.com.

00:23:14.000 In fact, thousands of small business owners have discovered the benefits of stamps.com in recent months.

00:23:19.000 I've been using stamps.com for years, so it came as no shock to me, nor as an additional benefit when everything that's been happening started happening.

00:23:26.000 I already knew, but I've been able to inform you for a long time that Stamps.com is a better way of sending your mail.

00:23:32.000 With Stamps.com, you can print postage on demand and avoid going to the post office.

00:23:42.000 No residential surcharges.

00:23:44.000 Again, here at DailyWire, we've been saving our time and money since 2017.

00:23:46.000 Stamps.com brings all the mailing and shipping services you might need directly to your computer.

00:23:51.000 You can use your computer to print official U.S.

00:24:07.000 Right now, my listeners get an amazing offer.

00:24:09.000 Four-week trial, plus free postage and digital scale.

00:24:12.000 No long-term commitment.

00:24:13.000 That is a solid deal.

00:24:15.000 Just head on over to stamps.com, click on the microphone at the top of the homepage, and type in Shapiro.

00:24:19.000 That is stamps.com, and enter Shapiro at the top of the homepage for the special deal.

00:24:24.000 Alrighty, so, Joe Biden continues, and he suggests that this is all about Donald Trump.

00:24:30.000 It's all about Trump, right?

00:24:31.000 Orange mad bad.

00:24:32.000 So he says that Donald Trump is seeing a political lifeline here, so he is just going to engage in the tried-and-true media tactic of Republicans' pounce.

00:24:40.000 So Democrats do something terrible, and the problem is that Republicans are pouncing on the Democrats doing something terrible, which means that it's really the Republicans' fault.

00:24:46.000 Here is slow old Joe.

00:24:48.000 I look at this violence and I see lives and communities and the dreams of small businesses being destroyed and the opportunity for real progress on issues of race and police reform and justice being put to the test.

00:25:04.000 Donald Trump looks at this violence and he sees a political lifeline.

00:25:10.000 Okay, so it's all about Trump and his political lifeline.

00:25:12.000 And then he says, the violence that we are seeing is in Donald Trump's America.

00:25:16.000 So how exactly does Joe Biden make the case that violence in entirely blue cities with governors who are explicitly rejecting federal help from Donald Trump, that that is Donald Trump's fault?

00:25:24.000 It's Donald Trump's America.

00:25:26.000 Okay, by that measure, Ferguson, Baltimore, Milwaukee, like everything that happens in the United States that's bad falls to the president of the United States, which is really not how any of this works.

00:25:35.000 We do have a federalist system and local governance tends to matter an awful lot.

00:25:39.000 So what exactly is the argument that Joe Biden is really making?

00:25:41.000 The argument that Joe Biden is really making is that if Donald Trump would just surrender to BLM, if Donald Trump would just do their agenda items, this would all stop.

00:25:49.000 Okay, now this is where the radicalism really comes out.

00:25:51.000 So he won't name-check BLM, he won't name-check Antifa.

00:25:54.000 His real case is that if Donald Trump would be more forthcoming to the demands of BLM, they would stop.

00:26:01.000 If Donald Trump would cower before BLM, if he would kneel when they want him to kneel, if he would say the slogans they want him to say, then they would stop.

00:26:08.000 Now, never mind that Donald Trump actually pursued and put into law criminal justice reform, precisely the opposite of the program that Joe Biden pushed in 1994.

00:26:18.000 Forget that Donald Trump has pardoned a variety of people, including Alice Johnson.

00:26:23.000 Forget all of that.

00:26:24.000 What Joe Biden really wants is for Trump to pledge fealty to BLM and the idea here from the Democrats, because this has always been an inside-outside game.

00:26:31.000 You have rioters in the streets, and then you have Democratic mayors and politicians, this is going on for generations, who have said, if we just cave to the demands of the rioters, then all of this will stop.

00:26:39.000 Here is Joe Biden making that explicit.

00:26:40.000 If Donald Trump would just cave to the demands of BLM, who, by the way, have not made any credible demands, then all of this would stop.

00:26:47.000 So this is, again, the threat of violence.

00:26:49.000 It's just Joe Biden using BLM and Antifa as the threat of violence.

00:26:53.000 I find it fascinating.

00:26:54.000 Quote, you won't be safe in Joe Biden's America.

00:26:59.000 And what's their proof?

00:27:00.000 The violence we're seeing in Donald Trump's America.

00:27:04.000 Donald Trump adds fuel to every fire because he refuses to even acknowledge that there's a racial justice problem in America because he won't stand up to any form of violence.

00:27:18.000 He's got no problem with right-wing militia, white supremacists and vigilantes with assault weapons, often better armed than the police, often in the middle of the violence at the protesters and aiming it there.

00:27:31.000 Okay, now that is a subtle reference to Kyle Rittenhouse, who was there to provide medical aid and protect private property, and then somehow ended up separated off from the main group, and by video evidence, shot three people in self-defense.

00:27:42.000 Okay, that is what the video evidence tends to show.

00:27:44.000 There's a full New York Times rundown of the play-by-play on that.

00:27:47.000 But apparently, Rittenhouse is the bad guy.

00:27:49.000 This is all about right-wing militias.

00:27:51.000 It's all about Donald Trump.

00:27:53.000 But buried in there is the line that matters most.

00:27:55.000 In this whole thing.

00:27:57.000 He says that Donald Trump adds fuel to every fire because he refuses to even acknowledge there's a racial justice problem in America.

00:28:04.000 In other words, if you don't speak and believe.

00:28:06.000 If you don't say that the police are systemically racist, then that is the problem.

00:28:11.000 In fact, if you just repeated all of our favorite slogans, then all of this would go away.

00:28:15.000 The violence would stop.

00:28:16.000 Now again, not true.

00:28:17.000 Barack Obama repeated those slogans and it didn't seem to matter one damn iota in Ferguson or Baltimore or Milwaukee, but This is the Democratic case.

00:28:24.000 We will do the work of the agitators, and then all of this will go away.

00:28:29.000 Joe Biden continued, and he said that if he were president, the country would be safer.

00:28:33.000 Why?

00:28:34.000 Because he would repeat the slogans that BLM wants him to repeat.

00:28:36.000 Because he would mouth the platitudes that are false about the systemic racism of the United States and the evils of law enforcement.

00:28:44.000 Again, if you want to be blackmailed, vote for Joe Biden.

00:28:48.000 Where you must say, repeat, kneel, or the riots come for you.

00:28:52.000 Here's Joe Biden again.

00:28:54.000 Frankly, I believe if I were president today, the country would be safer and we've seen a lot less violence.

00:29:01.000 And here's why.

00:29:02.000 I have said we must address the issue of racial injustice.

00:29:07.000 I've personally spoken to George Floyd's family and the Jacob Blake's family.

00:29:13.000 I know their pain.

00:29:14.000 And so do you.

00:29:15.000 I know the justice they seek, and so do you.

00:29:19.000 They've told us none of this violence respects or honors George or Jacob.

00:29:25.000 I believe we can bring these folks fighting for racial justice to the table.

00:29:30.000 Okay, so the characterization of the people rioting and looting is that they are fighting for racial justice.

00:29:35.000 That is literally the characterization he just used.

00:29:36.000 Who the hell is he talking about?

00:29:38.000 Bring them to the table?

00:29:40.000 That's usually language reserved for people who are, quote-unquote, not at the table.

00:29:43.000 In other words, doing violence outside the system.

00:29:46.000 He says that if you just say the police are bad, that if you, quote-unquote, address the issue of racial injustice, and he uses as case in point Jacob Blake, again, a man who had just allegedly raped a woman when the police were called on him, and then was reaching for a knife on the floorboards of his car by available evidence when he was shot, And if you just cater to the needs and whims of that particular movement, then all of this goes away because those folks will come back to the table.

00:30:12.000 So that is what Joe Biden is pledging.

00:30:14.000 He is pledging fealty to BLM, right?

00:30:16.000 And to the radicals of BLM, not even the broader kind of movement of people who may be marching in good faith, believing that if they mouth slogans, they will make the world a better place.

00:30:25.000 And Joe Biden then continued, and he said, more cops have died from COVID than have been killed on patrol.

00:30:29.000 So he's trying to downplay the danger to police officers that's happening in the United States right now. 0.88

00:30:32.000 Now, as somebody who routinely speaks to police officers across the country, this is ridiculous. 0.99

00:30:36.000 This is ridiculous and insane. 0.97

00:30:38.000 Police officers are walking off the job. 0.96

00:30:39.000 They're getting ready to retire.

00:30:40.000 They're getting ready to quit.

00:30:41.000 They're getting ready to move out of major American cities because they are scared to death that if they defend themselves, that if they defend the public, they're going to be brought up on charges by people like Joe Biden.

00:30:53.000 My favorite is his suggestion that the great damage to the police is COVID.

00:30:57.000 Listen to the stat that he cites.

00:30:58.000 I mean, this is just plain dishonesty with stats.

00:31:01.000 Here is Joe Biden.

00:31:03.000 More cops have died from COVID this year That's an amazing statement.

00:31:18.000 When he says that more cops have died from COVID than have been killed on patrol.

00:31:22.000 Ask a cop.

00:31:22.000 Are they more afraid of COVID?

00:31:23.000 Or are they more afraid of being on patrol right now?

00:31:26.000 That's, there's no question what the answer is.

00:31:28.000 Everybody knows the answer to that question.

00:31:29.000 By the way, if we're gonna do that routine, more people have died from COVID than, okay, more people have died from COVID than have been killed, unarmed by the police, by a factor of, oh, about 10,000?

00:31:40.000 Literally 10,000?

00:31:44.000 But apparently, this is a moment requiring racial reckoning in the United States, according to Joe Biden.

00:31:48.000 Joe Biden wrapped up this politically motivated bleep show by then suggesting at the very end, he's like, oh yeah, by the way, I'm in Pennsylvania.

00:31:55.000 I'm not banning fracking.

00:31:56.000 I'm not going to.

00:31:57.000 It was this weird, bizarre moment where, in a speech about bringing the country together and supposed racial unity and ending violence and looting, he's like, I know, by the way, I'm in Pennsylvania and I like fracking now.

00:32:08.000 There's Joe Biden.

00:32:09.000 This is just so nakedly partisan and political.

00:32:11.000 It's unbelievable.

00:32:13.000 I am not banning fracking.

00:32:15.000 Let me say that again.

00:32:16.000 I am not banning fracking.

00:32:19.000 No matter how many times Donald Trump lies about me.

00:32:24.000 This future.

00:32:26.000 The future.

00:32:27.000 That's what this is all about.

00:32:28.000 Okay, he's not banning fracking.

00:32:31.000 Okay, just quick note.

00:32:33.000 He has said before that he would ban fracking.

00:32:35.000 Here he was.

00:32:36.000 It was just a couple months ago in New Hampshire.

00:32:38.000 What about, say, stopping fracking and stopping the pipeline infrastructure?

00:32:45.000 Yes, yes, yes.

00:32:46.000 No new pipelines.

00:32:47.000 He has said in open debate that he wants to end fossil fuel reliance, which involves fracking.

00:32:51.000 He has said that he wants to end permits for new fracking.

00:32:55.000 But don't worry, he's not going to ban fracking.

00:32:56.000 He's not going to affect any of the jobs in Pennsylvania.

00:32:59.000 Now, here's the reality here.

00:33:00.000 Joe Biden is a, as I've said, he has a facade for a much more radical movement.

00:33:04.000 Everybody knows it.

00:33:05.000 And he's not much of a facade at this point because he's falling apart.

00:33:08.000 There's a reason that he showed up and he gave a speech and then he ran away before anybody could ask him a single question.

00:33:13.000 And by the way, I have no doubt that no journalist will ask him to actually by name condemn Antifa or BLM and its excesses.

00:33:20.000 Or even the excesses of BLM, let alone BLM as a movement.

00:33:24.000 But the reason that Joe Biden is arriving and doing these little speeches and then running away before the press can ask him a question is because he is not, he is not with it.

00:33:31.000 Here was a piece of his speech yesterday.

00:33:33.000 Again, he was on script, right?

00:33:34.000 He's reading from teleprompter.

00:33:35.000 And here was Joe Biden almost falling off the stage.

00:33:39.000 COVID has taken this year, just since the outbreak, has taken more than 100 years.

00:33:45.000 Look, here's the lives.

00:33:48.000 It's just, I mean, think about it.

00:33:51.000 More lives this year than any other year for the past hundred years.

00:33:56.000 What?

00:33:57.000 He's not even speaking English anymore.

00:33:59.000 He's just speaking senility, apparently.

00:34:01.000 But don't worry.

00:34:02.000 If you mention this, by the way, if you mention that Joe Biden has diminished, obviously, in terms of his faculties, which is clearly and obviously true, if you mention that at all, then Jamal Bowie, the poor man's Ta-Nehisi Coates, will suggest that you're engaged in a conspiracy theory because you're using your eyeballs.

00:34:17.000 Stop that.

00:34:18.000 In a second, we're going to get to President Trump and his response to all of this.

00:34:22.000 And it is imperfect, but far closer to right than Joe Biden's ridiculous response that was feated by the media yesterday.

00:34:30.000 We'll get to more of this in a second.

00:34:31.000 First, let's talk about how hard it is to do hiring on your own.

00:34:35.000 It is really difficult.

00:34:35.000 You get like enormous numbers of resumes.

00:34:37.000 A lot of them are just bad.

00:34:38.000 It's very difficult to filter them out or to keep them straight.

00:34:40.000 You just got a bunch of papers on your desk.

00:34:42.000 How do you figure out who to hire and who not to hire?

00:34:44.000 And how do you make sure that you're getting the best cross-section of people to hire?

00:34:47.000 Well, this is why you need ZipRecruiter. 0.93

00:34:49.000 ZipRecruiter will send your job to over 100 of the web's leading job sites, but they don't stop there.

00:34:52.000 With their powerful matching technology, ZipRecruiter will scan thousands of resumes to find people with the right experience and then actively invite them to apply to your job.

00:35:00.000 ZipRecruiter makes hiring efficient and effective with features like screening questions, to filter candidates, and an all-in-one dashboard where you can review and rate your candidates.

00:35:08.000 In fact, ZipRecruiter is so effective that 4 out of 5 employers who post on ZipRecruiter get a quality candidate within the very first day.

00:35:15.000 Let's say that you have an employee who not only once dated a person who trained wolves, but then for no reason at all, after that person demonstrated full scale that they were not particularly with it, decided to maybe even get back together with that person.

00:35:28.000 You might judge that person, would you not?

00:35:31.000 You might think, would I hire that person?

00:35:32.000 Should that person continue to draw a paycheck?

00:35:34.000 I mean, this person clearly lacks common sense.

00:35:36.000 I mean, I'm not going to name names like Nick, but if you were to think that person needed to be replaced, the place that you would go is ZipRecruiter.com slash DailyWire.

00:35:43.000 That is ZipRecruiter.com slash D-A-I-L-Y-W-I-R-E.

00:37:00.000 The Ben Shapiro Show, Sunday special, is back!

00:37:03.000 All new episode this week featuring Candace Owens.

00:37:06.000 We'll be talking about the 2020 election, George Floyd, Cardi B, and tons of other good stuff.

00:37:11.000 So don't miss out this Sunday, September 6th.

00:37:13.000 You're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.

00:37:17.000 Alrighty, so President Trump has responded to Joe Biden in a variety of ways.

00:37:28.000 So on Monday afternoon, he suggested on Fox News that the radical left is in control of these cities.

00:37:34.000 So Joe Biden keeps saying this is Trump's America.

00:37:36.000 Weird, because everybody in these cities is blue. 0.96

00:37:38.000 Here is Donald Trump going off on the radical left.

00:37:40.000 If it weren't Donald Trump's America to just use the expression as I'm president, you would have riots like you've never seen.

00:37:50.000 The Democrats have lost control of the radical left.

00:37:54.000 And if you look at Bernie and the, I call it the manifesto that was agreed to with Biden and his group, that's further left than Bernie ever was.

00:38:02.000 They won't be able to control these people.

00:38:03.000 These people have lost, they have lost control.

00:38:07.000 Okay, that is absolutely true.

00:38:09.000 And then Trump went on, he said BLM is a Marxist organization.

00:38:12.000 Now, it is incredible how the media continue to deny this is the case.

00:38:15.000 Of course, the organization called Black Lives Matter, which was at the root of this originally, right?

00:38:19.000 They were the most organized group on the ground and they were the ones who organized the protests.

00:38:24.000 They are an overtly Marxist organization.

00:38:26.000 They literally claim that they are Marxist.

00:38:28.000 But apparently, if you mention this, this is bad.

00:38:29.000 This is sort of like when you say that rioting and looting is bad and we should use federal force.

00:38:33.000 And then the media and the Democrats, they're like, You're talking about protesters.

00:38:38.000 No, I'm not talking about protesters.

00:38:40.000 When Trump says Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization, he doesn't mean that every single person who has marched with BLM is a Marxist.

00:38:46.000 He means the organization is legit Marxist.

00:38:48.000 Because they are!

00:38:49.000 Here was Trump yesterday.

00:38:50.000 Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization. 0.99

00:38:54.000 You remember pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon. 0.97

00:38:57.000 That was the first time I ever heard of Black Lives Matter. 0.97

00:39:00.000 I said, that's a terrible name.

00:39:01.000 It's so discriminatory. 0.98

00:39:03.000 It's bad for black people. 1.00

00:39:04.000 It's bad for everybody. 0.51

00:39:06.000 And all of a sudden, it becomes like sort of, although now if you look, it's gone way down because people are tired of this stuff, what's going on, the Black Lives Matter.

00:39:14.000 If you look at what's going on with the bats and a lot of thugs.

00:39:18.000 Okay, well, again, fact check true.

00:39:20.000 I mean, we're watching what's happening in the major cities and they are Black Lives Matter associated.

00:39:26.000 Show me the lie.

00:39:27.000 Okay, and then Trump went on, he said, you know, Joe Biden, he's getting credit for, you know, condemning violence and rioting and looting.

00:39:32.000 The only people that he blamed here were not the agitators and the looters, right?

00:39:36.000 He literally said, he literally said that we need a racial reckoning and that it's my inability to, this is Trump, it's my inability to speak with the racial agitators that is causing all of this.

00:39:48.000 And then you blame the cops, right?

00:39:50.000 So Trump correctly tweeted, just watch what Biden had to say.

00:39:52.000 To me, he's blaming the police far more than he's blaming the rioters, anarchists, agitators, and looters, which he could never blame or he would lose the radical left Bernie supporters.

00:40:00.000 Again, fact check true.

00:40:01.000 Then Trump continued, he said, Biden can't calm this stuff down because in fact, he is a puppet, which again, You can't argue with this because it's true.

00:40:09.000 Biden, just like Nancy Pelosi, I'm old enough to remember when Nancy Pelosi suggested, I keep using the phrase I'm old enough to remember because again, it ironically underscores the fact that Democrats are changing their positions on everything moderate to everything radical within 30 seconds.

00:40:22.000 Nancy Pelosi was very much opposed to the radicalism and antisemitism of some members of the squad until she decided to water down a resolution and then back them in their primary races. 0.98

00:40:30.000 Joe Biden is exactly like Nancy Pelosi.

00:40:33.000 Here was Trump saying, Biden can't calm this stuff down because he's not the one in charge.

00:40:37.000 Biden won't calm things down.

00:40:39.000 They will take over.

00:40:40.000 They will have won.

00:40:41.000 If Biden gets in, they will have won. 0.96

00:40:44.000 He's a weak person. 0.99

00:40:45.000 He's controlled like a puppet. 0.98

00:40:47.000 So it's not going to be calm things down.

00:40:49.000 It's going to be they will have won.

00:40:51.000 They will have taken over your cities.

00:40:53.000 It's a revolution.

00:40:54.000 You understand that.

00:40:54.000 It's a revolution.

00:40:56.000 And the people of this country will not stand for that.

00:40:59.000 Okay.

00:41:00.000 Then the media chimed in.

00:41:02.000 So the media want answers from Trump.

00:41:04.000 And they want answers on a couple of subjects particularly.

00:41:07.000 Both are subjects where Trump really should not be sounding off.

00:41:10.000 One, the media want Trump to sign off on Kyle Rittenhouse.

00:41:12.000 That is a case under investigation.

00:41:14.000 The best possible evidence at this point, including videotape and witness evidence, suggests that Kyle Rittenhouse shot three people in self-defense.

00:41:20.000 All three people that he shot had significant, long criminal records.

00:41:24.000 They were outside agitators who were inside Kenosha.

00:41:27.000 OK, Kayleigh McEnany, the White House press secretary, was asked about the Rittenhouse case and Trump's opinion on it.

00:41:32.000 And here was her answer.

00:41:34.000 The president condemned the actions of Kyle Rittenhouse, who was accused of shooting some of the protesters.

00:41:39.000 The president is not going to, again, weigh in on that.

00:41:43.000 You can ask him this evening.

00:41:44.000 He may weigh in further.

00:41:45.000 But at the moment, he's not weighing into that.

00:41:48.000 OK, well, that would have been the correct response.

00:41:51.000 Then Trump was asked, and Trump, of course, immediately steps all over that because he says, well, it looks to me like self-defense.

00:41:55.000 Now, accurate?

00:41:57.000 Should he be sounding off on legitimate law enforcement cases?

00:42:00.000 No.

00:42:00.000 What he should be saying at this point is there's an investigation underway.

00:42:04.000 I'm not going to sound off on an ongoing investigation, which, by the way, is what every president should say under any ongoing investigation.

00:42:10.000 Barack Obama also had this unfortunate habit.

00:42:12.000 Of jumping into cases where he didn't have the evidence and just sounding off on them.

00:42:17.000 This is the part of the modern presidency I probably like the least.

00:42:20.000 I even agree with what Trump is saying here on the merits.

00:42:23.000 I just think that it's a bad look for the President of the United States to be sounding off on ongoing law enforcement investigations.

00:42:28.000 Here was Trump yesterday.

00:42:29.000 That was an interesting situation.

00:42:32.000 You saw the same tape as I saw.

00:42:34.000 And he was trying to get away from them, I guess.

00:42:37.000 It looks like.

00:42:38.000 And he fell.

00:42:39.000 And then they very violently attacked him.

00:42:42.000 And it was something that we're looking at right now, and it's under investigation.

00:42:46.000 But I guess he was in very big trouble.

00:42:51.000 He probably would have been killed, but it's under investigation.

00:42:56.000 So people are like, he's defending Kyle Rittenhouse.

00:42:58.000 So first of all, his description of the video is so much more accurate than anything the media are putting out.

00:43:02.000 Okay, what the media are putting out there is that Kyle Rittenhouse, they tried to call him a white nationalist.

00:43:07.000 And then they suggested that he went there looking to kill.

00:43:10.000 Okay, so let me give you an example.

00:43:12.000 MSNBC.

00:43:13.000 There's an analyst named John Heileman.

00:43:16.000 He literally last night on MSNBC called Rittenhouse a domestic terrorist with intent to murder.

00:43:21.000 This is the thing, here was John Heileman yesterday. 0.91

00:43:24.000 The core part of that story is a white, Trump-supporting, MAGA-loving, Blue Lives Matter social media partisan, 17 years old, picks up a gun, drives from one state to another with the intent to shoot people.

00:43:40.000 It might at least make some of them think, okay, Donald Trump has not completely lost it. 0.83

00:43:45.000 This is not a totally grotesque, inhuman force in the White House. 0.74

00:43:48.000 At least he's acknowledging that it's terrible that a black man got shot in the back seven times, and it's not good that a 17-year-old vigilante, arguably a domestic terrorist, picked up a rifle, drove to a different state to shoot people.

00:44:03.000 Okay, now the other topic that the media definitely wanted Trump to comment on is whether he's going to meet with Jacob Blake's family.

00:44:09.000 Let me make this clear.

00:44:10.000 No president of the United States should ever meet with the family of a man who was shot by police while trying to resist arrest for an open domestic violence and sexual assault warrant after being called to the home of a woman who reported that he raped her.

00:44:25.000 I do not think that merits a presidential visit.

00:44:27.000 Do you?

00:44:28.000 I'm confused.

00:44:29.000 So if you rape somebody, you allegedly rape somebody, you resist arrest, you go for a weapon in your car by the available evidence, and you get shot, the president is supposed to go to your family's house and talk to them about how to run the country?

00:44:46.000 I feel like we have some elements here that are not quite lining up.

00:44:49.000 I don't feel like the... By the way, that should be the response from the White House.

00:44:52.000 Like, usually Kayleigh McEnany is very, very aggressive. 1.00

00:44:54.000 She's a lot more soft-spoken on this question than I would have been.

00:44:57.000 Here's Kayleigh McEnany yesterday.

00:44:58.000 Does the president have any plans currently to meet with Jacob Blake's family?

00:45:03.000 Currently, the plans are to meet with local law enforcement and some business owners, and he'll survey the damage.

00:45:08.000 But there will be more detailed plans forthcoming that are announced.

00:45:13.000 Okay, so no, they should not meet.

00:45:14.000 And then Trump was asked about it and he said that he's not meeting because they wanted their attorneys present and all of this.

00:45:19.000 By the way, the attorney, Benjamin Crump, who is always first on the scene whenever there is a shooting that involves a white officer and a black person or anything remotely like it.

00:45:29.000 And then we'll just mimic lies.

00:45:31.000 I mean, Benjamin Crump went out there and he originally said that Jacob Blake was trying to break up a fight between two women.

00:45:36.000 There's no evidence this is true, right?

00:45:37.000 He said that he was trying, he was a good Samaritan.

00:45:39.000 And then he tried to walk away from the cops and none of that ended up being true.

00:45:42.000 But here is President Trump trying to make an excuse for not meeting with Blake.

00:45:45.000 What he should say is, I typically don't meet with the families of people who are alleged rapists, who then get shot by the police in the process of attempting to resist arrest, by all available evidence.

00:45:55.000 If he wants to go a little softer, he could just say, I don't meet with the families of people who are under active criminal investigation.

00:46:00.000 Could do that too, right?

00:46:01.000 But instead, we get this kind of soft stuff.

00:46:04.000 I spoke with the pastor, a wonderful man, the family's pastor, and I thought it would be better not to do anything where there are lawyers involved.

00:46:14.000 They wanted me to speak, but they wanted to have lawyers involved, and I thought that was inappropriate, so I didn't do that.

00:46:19.000 But I did speak with the pastor of the family, who's a fine man, a wonderful man, and I think we had a great talk.

00:46:28.000 And I may at some point, you know, do that.

00:46:32.000 Okay, he shouldn't.

00:46:33.000 He shouldn't go talk to Jacob Blake's family any more than Michael Brown's family should have been put at the forefront of the BLM movement. 0.97

00:46:40.000 The BLM movement has a very bad habit of picking actual criminals to defend, who attack police officers, who resist arrest, who commit actual crimes.

00:46:49.000 Which suggests that really it has nothing to do with the facts on the ground.

00:46:51.000 It has to do with purveying a narrative.

00:46:54.000 Okay.

00:46:54.000 Then Trump did an interview with Laura Ingraham last night.

00:46:56.000 And in his interview, he had some rather controversial statements.

00:46:59.000 Some good, some bad.

00:47:00.000 Because with Trump, you always have to take the good along with the bad.

00:47:04.000 So here are some of the bad.

00:47:05.000 Trump suggested that the officer in the Blake case, it was like missing a putt.

00:47:09.000 It was like people choke.

00:47:10.000 It was like missing a putt.

00:47:11.000 Now, again, This was probably a legally justified shoot by all available evidence.

00:47:15.000 But here is Trump comparing it to a missed golf putt.

00:47:17.000 I mean, like, this is not useful in any way.

00:47:21.000 They choke.

00:47:22.000 Just like in a golf tournament, they miss a three foot... You're not comparing it to golf because of course that's what the media... No, I'm saying people choke.

00:47:29.000 People panic.

00:47:29.000 People choke.

00:47:31.000 And people are bad people.

00:47:32.000 You have both.

00:47:33.000 You have some bad people and you have... They choke.

00:47:36.000 You could be a police officer for 15 years and all of a sudden you're confronted.

00:47:40.000 You've got a quarter of a second to make a decision.

00:47:44.000 If you don't make the decision and you're wrong, you're dead.

00:47:49.000 People choke under those circumstances.

00:47:52.000 Trump was also asked by members of the media about people who were in Portland and who were using paintballs on Antifa protesters.

00:48:01.000 Now, he is correct here.

00:48:02.000 He says they were firing paintballs.

00:48:04.000 They weren't firing bullets.

00:48:05.000 And also, what he should have mentioned is the reason they were firing paintballs and mace at people is because those people were actively attempting to block their trucks and do them violence.

00:48:13.000 And here's President Trump saying that paint isn't the same as bullets.

00:48:16.000 They had large numbers of people that were supporters, but that was a peaceful protest.

00:48:21.000 And paint is not, and paint is a defensive mechanism, paint is not bullets.

00:48:27.000 Your supporters, your supporters, and they are your supporters indeed, shot a young gentleman who, and killed him. 0.90

00:48:37.000 Not with paint, but with a bullet. 0.87

00:48:40.000 And I think it's disgraceful.

00:48:41.000 Okay, he is right about that.

00:48:43.000 Okay, he is right about that.

00:48:44.000 By the way, it is also true that Trump did, in fact, say that he does not want his supporters acting like law enforcement.

00:48:50.000 He did say that.

00:48:51.000 Now, the media is going to ignore that, but he did say it.

00:48:54.000 Here's Trump saying it.

00:48:56.000 Do you want your supporters to confront the left-wing protesters, or do you want to leave it to law enforcement?

00:49:02.000 No, I don't want them.

00:49:03.000 I want to leave it to law enforcement.

00:49:04.000 But my supporters are Wonderful, hard-working, tremendous people.

00:49:11.000 And they turn on their television set, and they look at a Portland, or they look at a Kenosha before I got involved and stopped it.

00:49:18.000 They're looking at all of this, and they can't believe it.

00:49:22.000 They can't believe it, whether it's my support or not.

00:49:24.000 But you don't want them showing it.

00:49:26.000 No, I don't.

00:49:26.000 Well, it's a peaceful protest.

00:49:28.000 I mean, they were protesting.

00:49:30.000 Okay, again, he is not wrong about all of this.

00:49:35.000 Okay, meanwhile, President Trump is slated to go to Kenosha, Wisconsin today to talk.

00:49:40.000 Members of the local Democratic Party are very upset about it.

00:49:43.000 They're members of the Kenosha City Council, some of whom are Republicans, are very excited about it.

00:49:47.000 Trump explained last night the reason that he is going to Kenosha.

00:49:49.000 He says, I'm going there to thank law enforcement.

00:49:51.000 By the way, not inappropriate, considering the law enforcement is, in fact, under assault in Kenosha.

00:49:56.000 Here was President Trump explaining.

00:49:58.000 Why is it important for you to be seen by the people of Wisconsin now?

00:50:03.000 Because I am a tremendous fan of law enforcement, and I want to thank the law enforcement.

00:50:08.000 They've done a good job.

00:50:09.000 And when the governor says that I shouldn't come or he'd prefer that I not come, I'm the one that called him and said, Tony, you got to bring out the National Guard.

00:50:18.000 Well, I don't really want to do it.

00:50:19.000 Tony, you got to bring it out.

00:50:21.000 And unlike your governor of Oregon that just keeps saying no, he agreed to it at least.

00:50:26.000 Okay, so it is not inappropriate for the president to go out there and defend the police because Joe Biden is assaulting the police in his verbiage.

00:50:33.000 I mean, there's no question.

00:50:34.000 His entire speech yesterday was predicated on the notion that the cops are the bad guys.

00:50:39.000 Meanwhile, the cops are, again, under assault all over the United States.

00:50:44.000 An LAPD station in Van Nuys was vandalized and an American flag set on fire last night.

00:50:48.000 Well, actually, that was over the weekend.

00:50:49.000 Several protesters, according to FoxNews.com, vandalized an LAPD station Friday night and set an American flag on fire.

00:50:55.000 About 50 protesters gathered in Los Angeles' Van Nuys neighborhood around 11 p.m.

00:50:59.000 wearing masks and dark-colored clothing. 0.99

00:51:02.000 And then spray-painted the elevator saying, y'all gonna lose, pigs. 0.99

00:51:05.000 Good times. 0.99

00:51:06.000 Portland.

00:51:07.000 More riots last night in Portland.

00:51:09.000 Antifa rioters smashed up businesses.

00:51:10.000 A riot was declared for, what, the 90th?

00:51:13.000 93rd?

00:51:13.000 94th?

00:51:14.000 Straight night?

00:51:15.000 Over in Portland.

00:51:16.000 Here's a little bit of that video.

00:51:23.000 Ironically, Mayor Ted Wheeler, who has spent the last several months pretending that the rioters don't exist and the looters are his friends, he was victimized by them sitting outside his condo and firing fireworks directly outside his condo.

00:51:44.000 So, it was not in honor of his birthday. 1.00

00:51:46.000 It was in honor of them thinking that he's a stupid idiot, because he is in fact a stupid idiot. 1.00

00:51:50.000 Okay, meanwhile, there was, uh, there, there's more happening over the weekend. 1.00

00:52:00.000 There's a mob chanting death to America.

00:52:01.000 So adopting this sort of language from Iran, which is great in Oakland on Sunday night.

00:52:05.000 All of this seems like this is going really well.

00:52:06.000 And Joe Biden condemning white nationalists will probably solve it.

00:52:08.000 Here is the footage from Oakland on Sunday night.

00:52:11.000 I feel like we should just bring them to the table.

00:52:26.000 All we have to do to bring these folks to the table is presumably mouth some slogans about systemic racism in the United States.

00:52:33.000 Probably that's the solution.

00:52:35.000 We can expect that there will be some violence tonight in Los Angeles.

00:52:38.000 After all, protesters began to gather after L.A.

00:52:41.000 Sheriff's deputies shot a black man during a confrontation.

00:52:44.000 He punched a police officer and also had a handgun, by the way.

00:52:47.000 I know that that's a sub-headline, but we are supposed to pretend that the only thing that matters is the color of the people as opposed to the activity of the people.

00:52:53.000 According to ABC News, protesters gathered in South L.A.

00:52:56.000 Monday night after a Los Angeles sheriff's deputy shot and killed a black man who they say had a handgun and was fighting with them.

00:53:03.000 The shooting occurred Monday afternoon after two deputies pulled over a man who was riding a bicycle in violation of vehicle laws.

00:53:08.000 According to Sheriff's Department Lieutenant Brandon Dean, the man then got off the bike and ran off, and deputies ran him down because when you resist arrest, they'll run you down.

00:53:15.000 Right?

00:53:15.000 You know, when you get pulled over for a bicycle violation, probably should just take the ticket.

00:53:19.000 According to Dean, our suspect was holding some items of clothing in his hands, punched one of the officers in the face, and then dropped the items in his hands.

00:53:25.000 The deputies noticed that inside the clothing items he dropped was a black semi-automatic handgun, at which time a deputy-involved shooting occurred.

00:53:31.000 The suspect was struck several times.

00:53:33.000 Both officers fired their weapons.

00:53:35.000 Deputies recovered the handgun the man had been carrying.

00:53:36.000 The investigation is currently ongoing.

00:53:39.000 And Black Lives Matter LA started protests last night.

00:53:41.000 Thank God they remained mostly peaceful.

00:53:43.000 And when I say mostly peaceful, I didn't see any elements of violence.

00:53:46.000 It didn't stop racial agitators like Tariq Nasheed online from trying to claim that certain incidents were in fact acts of violence that were connected with all of this.

00:53:55.000 They were not.

00:53:55.000 There was a car that was driven into a shoe store on Melrose.

00:53:59.000 It had literally nothing to do with this, as far as we are aware.

00:54:02.000 It was unconnected.

00:54:04.000 It didn't stop Tariq Nasheed from tweeting that out. 0.53

00:54:06.000 Also, Tariq Nasheed tweeted out that a white Hispanic, I'm not kidding you, white Hispanic was responsible for the shooting. 0.99

00:54:13.000 White Hispanic, basically now anybody who is bad can be categorized as white. 0.54

00:54:18.000 The police officer in this case was, in fact, Hispanic. 0.94

00:54:22.000 But apparently he's a white Hispanic because everybody who is bad is white, according to the racial radicals. 0.73

00:54:28.000 Now, you can tell why all of this is happening. 0.89

00:54:30.000 The reason that all of this is happening and the reason that the Biden campaign is responding is because they are concerned that there's going to be movement in the polls.

00:54:36.000 In fact, there's an Emerson poll out today that shows Biden up just two points.

00:54:40.000 People are treating this as an outlier poll, but Emerson is in fact a good polling outfit.

00:54:44.000 That is a wildly disparate poll from the Morning Consult poll that came out showing Biden still up eight nationally and up large in every major swing state.

00:54:52.000 Which poll do you believe?

00:54:53.000 Well, I mean, I tend to believe the poll that shows the tightening of the race, because historically, after conventions, things tighten.

00:54:58.000 And two, because I think everybody has the gut-level feeling that the riots and the violence in America's major cities are not going to play well for the Democrats.

00:55:05.000 In fact, The Washington Post's Philip Rucker is openly admitting that the Biden campaign is concerned that around Detroit, there are a bunch of Blue Lives Matter signs that have been going up.

00:55:13.000 Here was Philip Rucker yesterday.

00:55:15.000 There is concern there that these images and that this law and order message from the president is working to start to pry away some of those white voters.

00:55:24.000 I was talking to Congresswoman Debbie Dingell the other day.

00:55:28.000 She represents a suburban Detroit district, and she said she drives around her district and she has seen a lot of blue Lives Matter signs popping up in suburban neighborhoods, and that has given her serious pause.

00:55:40.000 And she's been communicating that with the Biden campaign.

00:55:43.000 Okay, well, it should be giving them a serious pause, and there's a reason that Joe Biden basically stayed in the basement until he had to jet to Pennsylvania for five seconds.

00:55:50.000 The media have come up with a bunch of alternative explanations for what's happening.

00:55:54.000 And their alternative explanations range from the bizarre to the plainly insulting to the intelligence.

00:56:00.000 Daniel Dale, who's the supposed fact checker over at CNN, who's a radical lefty.

00:56:04.000 Daniel Dale, he suggested, this is his fact check on Antifa.

00:56:07.000 He suggested that Antifa is, quote, a loose collection of anti-fascists.

00:56:11.000 So here he is.

00:56:12.000 I mean, that amounts to effectively a defense of Antifa.

00:56:15.000 They're not anti-fascists.

00:56:16.000 They are, in fact, fascists who are doing mob violence to people in the streets.

00:56:19.000 But here is fact checker from CNN.

00:56:21.000 An apple is an apple and a banana is a banana, except when a banana is an apple.

00:56:24.000 Here's Daniel Dale.

00:56:26.000 He also said that Biden's speech today was strange, and he specifically criticized him for not naming Antifa.

00:56:31.000 It's true that Biden didn't mention Antifa, this loose collection of anti-fascists, but Biden issued a broad condemnation of violence, rioting, looting of all kinds.

00:56:40.000 So, yes, he didn't say that word, but it's not like he carved out some sort of exemption for Antifa.

00:56:45.000 This was a broad-based condemnation of Antifa-like tactics.

00:56:49.000 That's unbelievable!

00:56:50.000 I mean, that is such unbelievable water carrying for the Biden campaign.

00:56:53.000 So it's true he didn't mention Antifa, but he did condemn violence across the board.

00:56:56.000 I look forward to all such statements being treated this way going back in time to Charlottesville.

00:57:00.000 All broad statements condemning bad things happening are now sufficient, apparently, for everyone in the media, unless you're a Republican, in which case you have to be extremely specific about who it is you're calling out.

00:57:09.000 Because there's the excuse-making by the media.

00:57:11.000 And then, there are members of the media who just say bizarre, incredible conspiracy theories.

00:57:15.000 So Angela Rye on CNN, who can always be counted on for a bizarre conspiracy theory, she says that what's actually happening in these riots and looting are infiltrators trying to discredit the movement.

00:57:26.000 Oh! 0.60

00:57:26.000 Oh, it's all infiltrators, is it? 0.60

00:57:28.000 And so it is true, there are outside agitators who are going into Kenosha and making trouble.

00:57:31.000 It is also true that we saw broad, spontaneous riots and looting in virtually every major American city, springing directly from BLM protests. 0.57

00:57:38.000 Hey, but apparently it is all.

00:57:40.000 Outside agitators, maybe white supremacists or something, who are going undercover.

00:57:43.000 Here is Angela Rai promoting this conspiracy theory. 1.00

00:57:46.000 Call out the president and make him condemn that violence and not talk about these fringe people who are out here wearing the banner and acting as if they're affiliated with Black Lives Matter but are in fact not affiliated at all.

00:57:59.000 I'm willing to bet you over and over again that those folks have no affiliation with the actual movement and they are just a part of what we have seen historically in this country and that is infiltrators designed to undermine the desired need and the firm pursuit of justice.

00:58:16.000 Oh, so that's what it is.

00:58:17.000 It's probably a bunch of secret right-wingers who are attempting to discredit the movement.

00:58:21.000 That's a theory, except for how we've been showing footage for the past several weeks of actual Black Lives Matter spokespeople calling openly for violence throughout the United States. 0.62

00:58:29.000 So there's that.

00:58:30.000 Meanwhile, CNN's April Ryan, who can always be counted on for some good reporting. 1.00

00:58:35.000 April Ryan, who is a political analyst for CNN.

00:58:39.000 She suggests that Trump is instigating a race war.

00:58:41.000 Trump is.

00:58:42.000 Instigating a race war. 0.56

00:58:44.000 Uh-huh.

00:58:44.000 Here she was last night on CNN.

00:58:46.000 This president, Donald John Trump, has instigated a race war in America.

00:58:52.000 Portland, Oregon is ground zero.

00:58:55.000 This president, Donald John Trump, has basically stoked the flames for racist extremists, neo-Nazis, and the alt-right.

00:59:06.000 People are now afraid of this president because he has stoked the racial flames.

00:59:12.000 And let's call the thing a thing.

00:59:14.000 He has now begun a race war in America in 2020. 0.77

00:59:18.000 Trump has begun a race war in America in 2020?

00:59:20.000 Really?

00:59:21.000 Was it him?

00:59:22.000 Because it seems to me that the people who have been stoking the racial flames for years on end are people who claim that the entire system of America is racist.

00:59:28.000 That you're either racist or an anti-racist.

00:59:31.000 One of the things that was amazing about Biden's speech yesterday is Biden did this routine where he said most police officers are good.

00:59:36.000 We like most police officers.

00:59:37.000 And I pointed out that means absolutely nothing when you suggest that the police are systemically racist.

00:59:42.000 Because when you say systemically racist, what you mean is that the entire system of policing is racist.

00:59:47.000 Which means that you're either complicit in that system or you're anti the system, right?

00:59:50.000 This is Ibram Kendi's model of thinking.

00:59:52.000 You're either racist or you're anti-racist.

00:59:54.000 So it doesn't matter if you're a good person and a nice person.

00:59:56.000 If you're complicit in a system of racism, you are, in fact, one of the operators of the racist system.

01:00:02.000 So who exactly has started the race?

01:00:05.000 Who is maintaining the racial conflict here?

01:00:07.000 Who is stoking racial conflict?

01:00:09.000 Who is stoking a race war here?

01:00:11.000 Donald Trump.

01:00:11.000 I love how she uses Portland as an example of this.

01:00:13.000 In Portland, it's white people fighting white people.

01:00:17.000 It is really not Black Lives Matter in Portland. 0.76

01:00:19.000 It's Black Lives Matter in Kenosha.

01:00:21.000 It's Black Lives Matter in Chicago and L.A.

01:00:24.000 and New York and B.C.

01:00:24.000 It is not Black Lives Matter in Portland.

01:00:27.000 It's a bunch of white people. 0.98

01:00:28.000 So this Ground Zero and the race war is a bunch of white people shooting at each other in Portland? 0.97

01:00:33.000 And really one side shooting the other in Portland?

01:00:35.000 But this is the new narrative.

01:00:37.000 The new narrative pushed by Dana Milbank over at the Washington Post is that Trump is trying to foment a race war.

01:00:42.000 He's trying to foment a race war.

01:00:45.000 He says, when the president's supporters, often armed, drive into cities to provoke racial justice demonstrators.

01:00:49.000 Oh, it's provocation now!

01:00:51.000 If you take over major American cities, like Portland.

01:00:53.000 And you take them over, full scale.

01:00:55.000 And you do violence every night.

01:00:56.000 That is not a provocation.

01:00:58.000 It's that people are driving with American flags on their truck.

01:01:00.000 What a provocation.

01:01:01.000 You mean you took advantage of America's free speech rights to drive a truck with an American flag into a major American city?

01:01:06.000 Obviously provocative.

01:01:09.000 Obviously your fault.

01:01:10.000 Trump calls them great patriots.

01:01:12.000 His convention glorified vigilantes who took up arms against protesters, disgraceful anarchists and thugs in Trump's telling.

01:01:18.000 Are you talking specifically about the McCloskeys?

01:01:20.000 You know, the family who, like, stood on their porch because people were threatening them with violence after breaking into a private gated community?

01:01:25.000 Dana Milbank?

01:01:27.000 The president declares that backlash against demonstrators by his supporters cannot be unexpected, and says the only way you will stop violence in high-crime Democrat cities is through strength.

01:01:35.000 Again, none of that's racial.

01:01:37.000 He proposes that the far-right militia member who allegedly killed two protesters in Wisconsin acted in self-defense.

01:01:43.000 Fact check.

01:01:44.000 He probably did act in self-defense.

01:01:45.000 How's that stoking a racial war? 0.93

01:01:47.000 But again, it is the media narrative.

01:01:49.000 It's a media narrative that is backed by the Biden campaign.

01:01:52.000 The media and the Biden campaign are completely inseparable at this point.

01:01:54.000 That is perfectly obvious.

01:01:55.000 And you should be aware of this when you watch the media coverage of everything that comes next.

01:01:59.000 Alrighty, we'll be back here later today with two additional hours of content.
