The Ben Shapiro Show

Biden’s Coma-Inducing Radicalism | Ep. 1246

Summary

Joe Biden unleashes an interminable, soporific address to Congress and puts America completely to sleep while preaching insane, radical leftism. Ben Shapiro explains why the Biden administration needs Joe Biden specifically because he cannot hold it together, because he starts mumbling and wandering off into cornfields because he is not threatening, as I have suggested, and because the water stain on his presidency is only growing. The problem for Joe Biden is that the pandemic is over, but the problem for him is that he can t acknowledge that the problem is still crippling, because if it is, then we'll eventually get out of it. And if it's not crippling, then he can continue to maintain that pandemic, because we don't have any other problem other than that which is still a problem. Ben Shapiro: Joe Biden's entire presidency is premised on the notion that there's a giant crisis out there, and he has a bunch of manufactured crises like income inequality, racial injustice, climate change, and climate change. It's not an adaptable problem, it's a solvable problem. You have a problem, of course, so conveniently for him, we just had one of the biggest problems in modern history, and we'll get it eventually, because eventually we'll have a garbage of garbage because he can't acknowledge it because it's out of control. 00:00:00.000 Joe Biden unleashes an interminable, soporific address to Congress and puts America completely to sleep while preaching insane, radical leftism.
00:00:07.000 So, everything's great.
00:00:08.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.
00:00:09.000 This is the Ben Shapiro Show.
00:00:10.000 The Ben Shapiro Show is sponsored by ExpressVPN.
00:00:18.000 You have a right to privacy.

00:00:21.000 Slash Ben.
00:00:22.000 So, that was terrible.
00:00:24.000 I mean, legit terrible.
00:00:26.000 In every possible way.
00:00:27.000 That was the worst address to a joint session of Congress I've ever seen.
00:00:31.000 I hate these things generally.
00:00:32.000 And you can go back.
00:00:33.000 You can listen to my episodes about addresses to joint sessions of Congress.
00:00:36.000 I hate the monarchical aspect of it.
00:00:38.000 I hate the president wandering in, and then everybody cheering, yay!
00:00:41.000 It's the president!
00:00:42.000 We're so excited!
00:00:43.000 And we treat him like he's a king, and then everybody stands and cheers for everything he says.
00:00:48.000 The president is a plumber.
00:00:49.000 He has a specific job to do.
00:00:50.000 So I hate that from the beginning.
00:00:51.000 But this was really, really bad.
00:00:55.000 It was a barely conscious old doddered mumbling at you for an hour and a half about how he was going to spend more money than God has ever created on a variety of proposals that will completely reshape the nature of American government.
00:01:10.000 And honest to God, I almost wonder whether the strategy is he's going to bludgeon you into unconsciousness And then, while you're unconscious, he's just gonna loot your pockets.
00:01:20.000 He's basically Cardi B. He's just gonna bludgeon you into unconsciousness, and then he's just going to rob you, right?
00:01:24.000 That's the actual, I think, premise of the Biden presidency, because...
00:01:30.000 Here's the thing.
00:01:31.000 The Democratic Party needs Joe Biden.
00:01:32.000 They need Joe Biden specifically because he is this.
00:01:35.000 Because he cannot hold it together.
00:01:37.000 Because he starts mumbling and wandering off into cornfields.
00:01:40.000 Because he is not threatening, as I have suggested.
00:01:43.000 President Houseplant is there to hide the water stain, and the water stain is growing.
00:01:46.000 He's exacerbating the water stain.
00:01:48.000 But they need him there to hide the water stain because if it were Kamala Harris, Co-president Harris out there making a speech about how she was going to spend $10 trillion.
00:01:56.000 $10 trillion.
00:01:57.000 They keep saying $6 trillion.
00:01:58.000 It's not $6 trillion.
00:01:59.000 This is aside from the $4 trillion budget.
00:02:01.000 $10 trillion?
00:02:02.000 If it were Kamala Harris saying this, everybody would be like, wow, that sounds kind of radical.
00:02:05.000 But because it is this old man they wheeled in on a gurney who can barely string together a full paragraph, we're now supposed to believe that it's all moderate and fine.
00:02:15.000 So, I mean, maybe the bug is the feature.
00:02:18.000 Maybe the fact that Joe Biden is a horrible speaker.
00:02:20.000 Maybe the fact that he is in obvious cognitive decline.
00:02:23.000 Maybe the fact that Joe Biden was almost inaudible last night.
00:02:27.000 Maybe that's the feature.
00:02:28.000 And then there's the optics of the situation.
00:02:30.000 So, we're supposed to believe that we're on this optimistic upswing because, you know what?
00:02:34.000 We should be.
00:02:34.000 The pandemic is coming to an end.
00:02:36.000 A huge percentage of Americans have been vaccinated.
00:02:38.000 And Joe Biden was out there touting that.
00:02:39.000 But, he's in a chamber.
00:02:41.000 Where people are socially distanced and masked.
00:02:43.000 Every single human in that chamber was vaccinated.
00:02:47.000 Every single one.
00:02:48.000 You know what would have been a great message if you actually want to push vaccinations?
00:02:51.000 If you want to push hope?
00:02:52.000 What you would have done is you would have filled the chamber with vaccinated people.
00:02:55.000 You would have said, all these people are vaccinated, which means they're back to regular life.
00:02:58.000 And you can be too.
00:03:00.000 But Joe Biden can't say that, you see.
00:03:01.000 Because if Joe Biden were to say that, then he wouldn't have any lever with which to cram into law all of the spending.
00:03:08.000 Joe Biden's entire presidency is premised on the notion that there's a giant crisis out there and he has a bunch of manufactured crises like income inequality or racial inequity or climate change.
00:03:17.000 Again, some of these things are real problems, particularly climate change is a problem over the course of the century, but it is a solvable problem.
00:03:24.000 It's an adaptable problem.
00:03:26.000 It is not a crisis.
00:03:27.000 He needs an actual crisis.
00:03:28.000 So conveniently for him, we just had one of the biggest crises in modern history.
00:03:32.000 We had this pandemic.
00:03:33.000 But the problem for him is that the pandemic is now basically over.
00:03:36.000 If you live in a red state, you know the pandemic is over because everybody is back to normal.
00:03:39.000 They are living their lives.
00:03:40.000 So Joe Biden has to continue to maintain that the pandemic is still crippling America.
00:03:45.000 Yeah, eventually we'll get out of it.
00:03:47.000 Eventually.
00:03:51.000 Because he can't acknowledge if it's over now, then we don't need any of his garbage spending programs that are going to bankrupt the country, destroy the American dollar, raise inflation, kill investment rates.
00:04:02.000 We don't need any of that crap, right?
00:04:04.000 As it comes to an end, we are going to go back to the economy we had just before the pandemic, which was the strongest economy in 50 years by all available metrics.
00:04:11.000 So he has to prolong the pandemic.
00:04:13.000 So instead, you got this bizarre optics of Joe Biden vaccinated in a chamber with 200 other people, all vaccinated, socially distanced, and then you'd have a shot of the crowd.
00:04:22.000 And he's supposed to be exciting us, right?
00:04:23.000 This is supposed to be the optimistic wave of the future.
00:04:25.000 You look out, and it looks like what the inside of Joe Biden's brain must look like, just a bunch of empty space with an occasional human here and there.
00:04:33.000 It was bizarro world.
00:04:35.000 Frankly, I don't even know why the Republicans masked.
00:04:37.000 They shouldn't have.
00:04:38.000 They should have gone in there and they should have said, listen, you want to take me out of here?
00:04:40.000 I'm vaccinated.
00:04:41.000 You're going to have to explain to people why I need a mask when I'm both vaccinated and socially distanced.
00:04:47.000 The whole idea here from the Biden administration is to continue to promote COVID panic so they can ram through a bunch of policy and they're going to tell you that their policy is not radical because this boring old man is pushing it.
00:04:57.000 Because this dude who sounds like your grandpa, not like your grandpa like when he was in his 60s and he was fun and you'd go go-karting with him, but your grandpa when he was in his 80s and you had to start thinking about whether you were going to move him into a nursing home.
00:05:08.000 That guy is going to cram into policy a bunch of radical stuff, but it's not radical because of course he speaks like a gentleman.
00:05:15.000 Because how could that guy be threatening?
00:05:17.000 How could that guy be radical?
00:05:20.000 So again, I think the Democratic Party needs him.
00:05:23.000 I think they need this.
00:05:24.000 So that was the speech last night.
00:05:26.000 And it was bizarre.
00:05:27.000 I mean, he lied over and over and over again.
00:05:30.000 He said a bunch of things that were just weird.
00:05:32.000 He cannot speak.
00:05:34.000 I can't get over the fact that there are still people in the media who are attempting to proclaim that Joe Biden is with us.
00:05:38.000 He is not with us.
00:05:39.000 He's not been with us for some time.
00:05:41.000 He's the elected president of the United States.
00:05:41.000 It's very sad.
00:05:43.000 It makes me sad for the country that the elected president of the United States is a person who Honest to God cannot get through a speech in a coherent fashion. That was not coherent last night I mean here is Joe Biden just a little taste here was Joe Biden Stumbling over himself. This is not because Joe Biden had a stammer that he overcame which is again an act of tremendous strength This has nothing to do with the stammer because for most of his career He didn't speak like this. He only speaks like this now because he's old and because he's becoming adult. Here is Joe Biden last night
00:06:12.000 Just stumbling all over himself With regard to Russia, I know it concerns some of you but I made very clear to Putin That we're not going to seek excuse me escalation Thank you.
00:06:28.000 I said before the speech that watching Biden speak just as an American is like watching Nick Wallenda walk over a volcano.
00:06:33.000 You just know there's going to be a point where there's like, oh man, like I hope he's right.
00:06:38.000 Like every so often they should cut live to him every time he goes up and down the stairs of Air Force One because you could be watching history in the making.
00:06:45.000 That's the pitch for Joe Biden.
00:06:47.000 So we're going to get into the actual content of the speech in just one moment, because the entire thing here about how we have to generate enthusiasm for a president who clearly not only is someone who we should be unenthusiastic about, but who's promoting policies that would make LBJ and FDR blush, make Barack Obama blush for that matter.
00:07:03.000 It's pretty astonishing.
00:07:05.000 It really is.
00:07:05.000 I gave a preview last night on the Daily Wire backstage of what I thought it was going to sound like.
00:07:09.000 And it was pretty dead on.
00:07:10.000 It was pretty dead on.
00:07:11.000 So we'll get to that in just one second.
00:07:13.000 First, let us talk about the underwear that currently grace your tuchus.

00:07:24.000 I've thrown away all other underwear that I have because Tommy John is just that good.

00:08:16.000 Okay, so let's just jump right into Joe Biden's speech.
00:08:19.000 So, he began last night as you knew he would with, and everything is histo-magical.
00:08:26.000 Historical.
00:08:28.000 Behind me stands Kamala Harris, the President of the United States, who is so important because she is both very woman and very black.
00:08:41.000 And that's the important thing.
00:08:43.000 Here was Joe Biden last night doing exactly... I made fun of him, jokingly suggesting this was how he was going to open, and then he opened that way.
00:08:49.000 He's just a parody of himself.
00:08:51.000 Madam Vice President, no president Has ever said those words from this podium.
00:08:59.000 No president has ever said those words.
00:09:01.000 And it's about time.
00:09:06.000 OK, then we got to his main pitch.
00:09:09.000 So his main pitch was everything sucked.
00:09:11.000 And then I arrived and everything was unbelievably great.
00:09:14.000 Incredible.
00:09:15.000 Here I am, an old man in a in a nearly empty chamber with a bunch of people who are uselessly masked.
00:09:20.000 And yet everything is unbelievably great.
00:09:23.000 He said, you know, when I inherited a nation that was basically done, we were toast!
00:09:28.000 And then along came me.
00:09:30.000 They wheeled me in, on his gurney, and strapped me, propped me up upright.
00:09:35.000 I stood there, and the light, it came down and shined on my bald pe- Here he was, the President of the United States.
00:09:44.000 I stand here tonight, one day shy of the hundredth day of my administration.
00:09:52.000 A hundred days since I took the oath of office and lifted my hand off our family Bible and inherited a nation we all did that was in crisis.
00:10:02.000 The worst pandemic in a century.
00:10:05.000 The worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.
00:10:08.000 The worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.
00:10:13.000 Now, after just 100 days, I can report to the nation America is on the move again.
00:10:23.000 Parallel to possibility.
00:10:25.000 Crisis to opportunity.
00:10:28.000 Setbacks in the strength.
00:10:29.000 So one thing you're going to notice over the course of this speech, because we're going to play a lot of it, is how he actively, physically declined in the course of the speech alone.
00:10:37.000 Right here, he's still awake.
00:10:38.000 By the end, he is not.
00:10:39.000 By the end, he's just somnambulant.
00:10:41.000 He's just sleepwalking.
00:10:43.000 Okay, so there are a few things here that are worthy of note.
00:10:45.000 One, he just suggested that January 6th was the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.
00:10:51.000 I have some notes.
00:10:52.000 So Joe Biden has been alive since the Civil War, so he should remember all of these things.
00:10:55.000 How about preventing black people from doing things like voting for a century after the Civil War through Jim Crow laws?
00:11:01.000 How about preventing black people from going to the same schools as white people?
00:11:04.000 How about, you know, the internment of the Japanese?
00:11:07.000 We could go with, hmm, World War I, World War II.
00:11:09.000 We could theoretically go with the Cold War.
00:11:11.000 We could go with Jan- We could go with September 11th.
00:11:14.000 We could go with Pearl Harbor.
00:11:15.000 We could go with the assassination of four separate presidents between the Civil War and now, and the shooting of a fifth, President Reagan.
00:11:20.000 We could go with- In fact, I can name like many, many things, many of things.
00:11:25.000 That are worse than January 6th, in which a bunch of clowns and morons decided to invade the Capitol because they wanted to stop democracy from moving forward.
00:11:33.000 And within an hour after they were out of the Capitol building, the entire Congress was back in doing exact.
00:11:38.000 See, here's the thing about existential crises to democracy, existential authoritarian threats.
00:11:42.000 They don't end the same day they are started.
00:11:44.000 That is not how things happen when you have an existential threat to the democracy.
00:11:48.000 Okay, so that's just a lie.
00:11:50.000 I mean, this January 6th, I talked about it.
00:11:52.000 I said it was some of the worst imagery for the United States politically since 9-11.
00:11:56.000 To have people ransacking the Capitol is really bad.
00:11:59.000 To say that it's the worst crisis of democracy that we've had since the Civil War is patently crazy.
00:12:04.000 It's full-on insane.
00:12:06.000 I mean, full crazy towns.
00:12:08.000 But we're supposed to just believe this because, again, the contrast that the media and Biden have created is this narrative wherein all was darkness.
00:12:15.000 And then the bringer of light, Joe Biden, 9,000 years old, career politician, corrupt as all get out, congenital liar.
00:12:23.000 This guy, he's gonna come.
00:12:24.000 And then the light shone down and the angels descended.
00:12:28.000 If you believe this, it's because you're a sucker.
00:12:30.000 It's because you're a sucker.
00:12:31.000 And then Joe Biden decided, you know what?
00:12:33.000 It's time to lie to you.
00:12:35.000 So here, first of all, it's a giant lie that we were basically toast on January.
00:12:39.000 When he took office, we were toast.
00:12:40.000 We were already starting to tranche out the vaccines.
00:12:43.000 The pandemic was already starting to end.
00:12:45.000 In economies everywhere, we're starting to get on the move, right?
00:12:48.000 This was obviously true.
00:12:50.000 But according to Joe Biden, everything sucked, and then he jumped in front of the parade that was already moving, and he started twirling a baton and dropping it every so often.
00:12:56.000 But it's all him, man.
00:12:58.000 It was all him.
00:12:59.000 So here is Joe Biden, just lying.
00:13:01.000 I mean, this is just a lie.
00:13:02.000 He starts talking about how he— I made a solemn promise to be— To give 100 million shop-a-dos in 100 days.
00:13:11.000 Okay, we were already giving a million shots a day by the time Joe Biden entered office.
00:13:14.000 Already giving a million shots a day.
00:13:16.000 There is no marked difference in the trajectory of increase in the number of shots being given per day before Biden took office and after.
00:13:24.000 If Biden were really that great, what you would expect is an exponential trajectory.
00:13:27.000 You expect super slow under Trump and then boom!
00:13:29.000 It pops up under Biden.
00:13:30.000 Now what happened?
00:13:30.000 You have an arithmetic growth.
00:13:32.000 You have just a straight line, which means He was just carrying out plans that were already left to him and using a vaccine that was already left to him.
00:13:37.000 But here he is taking credit for, for some reason, exceeding the boundaries of a promise that he made that we were already meeting.
00:13:46.000 It's just ridiculous.
00:13:47.000 Here he was.
00:13:49.000 After I promised we'd get 100 million COVID-19 vaccine shots into people's arms in 100 days, We will have provided over 220 million COVID shots in those 100 days.
00:14:02.000 When I was sworn in on January 20th, less than 1% of the seniors in America were fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
00:14:07.000 COVID-19. 100 days later, 70% of seniors in America over 65 are protected, fully protected.
00:14:17.000 Senior deaths from COVID-19 are down 80% since January.
00:14:22.000 Down 80% because of all of you.
00:14:25.000 Okay, so quick note.
00:14:26.000 There were 1% of seniors vaccinated when he took office because we were just starting to trench out the vaccine.
00:14:31.000 It wasn't because Trump was holding back the vaccine and Joe Biden suddenly unleashed it upon an unsuspecting nation.
00:14:38.000 But don't worry, the media will go right along with it.
00:14:40.000 Don't worry, they'll go right along with this idea that Joe Biden has somehow revitalized America, even though he has done, as far as I'm aware, precisely nothing to revitalize America except scare the living crap out of everybody who cares about individual rights.

00:16:12.000 Okay, so, Joe Biden then continues, and he suggests that the American Rescue Plan, which was basically just sending people a bunch of checks, has somehow saved the economy and created new jobs.
00:16:20.000 Now, here's the thing.
00:16:21.000 The jobs were already being created because people were going back to work.
00:16:23.000 In fact, one of the things the American Rescue Plan has done is trench out these checks to people, raising inflation on commodities to an extraordinary level, and also driven people out of the workforce because they are making more money by taking money from the government at this point than they are by going back into the workforce.
00:16:40.000 If you talk to small business owners everywhere across America, they are trying to hire people to scale up for demand, and they can't because people aren't working.
00:16:47.000 When he says the economy created 1.3 million new jobs in 100 days because of Joe Biden, that's a lie.
00:16:52.000 The government doesn't create jobs.
00:16:54.000 You create jobs.
00:16:56.000 I create jobs.
00:16:56.000 I know because we've been hiring people at Daily Wire.
00:16:58.000 Joe Biden didn't create those jobs.
00:17:00.000 It's amazing.
00:17:00.000 The same people in the Democratic Party, Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, Barack Obama.
00:17:04.000 You didn't build that.
00:17:05.000 You didn't create that.
00:17:05.000 You know what?
00:17:06.000 I'm the one who signed the damn paychecks.
00:17:07.000 I'm pretty sure I did.
00:17:09.000 I'm pretty sure it is not Joe Biden who is confiscating my money and then handing it to people not to work.
00:17:14.000 I'm fairly certain you are not creating the job, sir.
00:17:17.000 Here is Joe Biden claiming credit for an economic growth bubble that has really nothing to do with him.
00:17:22.000 And maybe most importantly, thanks to the American Rescue Plan, we're on track to cut child poverty in America in half this year.
00:17:33.000 And in the process, while this is all going on, the economy created, More than 1,300,000 new jobs in 100 days.
00:17:44.000 More jobs in the first 100 days than any president on record.
00:17:49.000 Okay, so just one note here.
00:17:51.000 When he says that he's going to cut child poverty in America in half this year, Democrats believe that the way that you cut poverty is just signing people checks.
00:17:58.000 What they don't understand is that the way you actually solve poverty is by incentivizing people to make good, solid decisions that raise them from poverty permanently.
00:18:06.000 If you just keep signing checks to people who are in poverty, incentivizing them not to make the decisions that actually better their lives, you are not curing poverty.
00:18:12.000 If signing checks cured poverty, $22 trillion in the war on poverty would have raised Americans from below the poverty line.
00:18:20.000 By a percentage, the same Americans are now living below the poverty line as were living below the poverty line before.
00:18:24.000 We have to do more than just build back better.
00:18:28.000 To build back, we have to build back better.
00:18:30.000 We have to compete more strenuously than we have.
00:18:35.000 America. Here is Joe Biden talking about building back better. But Dango.
00:18:38.000 We have to do more than just build back better, build back at the build back better.
00:18:43.000 We have to compete more strenuously than we have throughout our history.
00:18:50.000 If you think about it, public investment in infrastructure has literally transformed America.
00:18:57.000 That's why I proposed the American Jobs Plan, a once-in-a-generation investment in America itself.
00:19:04.000 This is the largest jobs plan since World War II.
00:19:07.000 Okay, that is not an investment.
00:19:09.000 See, investments are where you take a risk.
00:19:12.000 Investments are not where I steal your money and hand it to a third party.
00:19:15.000 That's not an investment.
00:19:16.000 That's called redistribution.
00:19:18.000 When he says that... I have a question.
00:19:19.000 Why do we need the largest jobs plan since World War II?
00:19:21.000 We picked up 1.3 million jobs in the last three months.
00:19:24.000 Why do we need it?
00:19:26.000 We had record low unemployment before the pandemic.
00:19:28.000 Pandemic's ending.
00:19:29.000 People will go back to work.
00:19:30.000 Why do we need your biggest... Is this World War II?
00:19:34.000 Did I miss the part where we're in the middle of a global world war involving the draft militarization of the entire male population of the United States?
00:19:41.000 Did I miss that part?
00:19:42.000 Because I don't see it.
00:19:43.000 I don't see it.
00:19:44.000 All this is is just an excuse to radically expand spending.
00:19:47.000 Here's the thing about Joe Biden's presidency.
00:19:48.000 He's a one-term president.
00:19:49.000 We all know it.
00:19:50.000 Over the course of this speech, you will see Joe Biden decline physically over the course of just a speech.
00:19:56.000 This dude is not serving a second term.
00:19:58.000 He's not running for re-election.
00:19:59.000 He's not serving a second term.
00:20:00.000 So he, DGAF, Okay, at this point, he doesn't care.
00:20:04.000 He's going for broke.
00:20:06.000 Because he has a very small window in which to push through all of his world-beating legislation so that the history books one day can treat him as a transformational president, even though he himself declared he was just going to be a bridge to the next Democrat.
00:20:17.000 That he was going to be a moderate who restored normalcy.
00:20:19.000 But he doesn't actually want that.
00:20:20.000 You see, he wants the history books to treat him as a transformational figure.
00:20:25.000 But here's the thing.
00:20:26.000 By 2022, he's going to lose the House.
00:20:28.000 The American people aren't gonna like what he is doing.
00:20:31.000 In fact, the American people right now are not particularly fond of many of his policies.
00:20:35.000 And that's with this enormous bubble that is being created.
00:20:38.000 This is with the end of the pandemic.
00:20:40.000 He still ain't that popular.
00:20:41.000 He's barely above 50%.
00:20:43.000 Under normal conditions, the dude should be at 70%.
00:20:45.000 Okay, but he's at 50.
00:20:47.000 And that's going to decline because that ratchet only works one way for Joe Biden.
00:20:51.000 So, he has a very short period of time in which to cram all this stuff through.
00:20:54.000 So he is going for broke.
00:20:56.000 That is all this is.
00:20:58.000 Joe Biden knows there will be no second term.
00:20:59.000 Joe Biden knows, in all likelihood, he is not going to have control of Congress in two years.
00:21:03.000 And he knows that the pandemic is coming to an end, so he doesn't even have an excuse for doing all this crap.
00:21:07.000 So it's just, you know what?
00:21:08.000 I'm going to push everything I can through.
00:21:10.000 Caution to the wind.
00:21:12.000 Thumb on Louise.
00:21:13.000 Pedal to the metal.
00:21:14.000 Over that cliff.
00:21:14.000 Let's just do this thing.
00:21:17.000 So it's everything.
00:21:18.000 It's not some things, but not other things.
00:21:20.000 It's not a prudent decision-making process about what to do and what not to do.
00:21:24.000 It's do all the things at once and DGAF, the DGAF Joe Biden presidency, which is precisely the opposite of what he campaigned on.
00:21:32.000 He campaigned on restoration of politics as normal, restoration of bipartisanship, restoration of a certain solidity and a certain incrementalism in American governance.
00:21:42.000 And then he comes into office and he's like, you know, what if I just spend more money than has ever been created in the history of mankind?
00:21:45.000 What if I just do that?
00:21:47.000 What if I just completely remake the relationship between individuals and the government?
00:21:50.000 What if I do that?
00:21:52.000 There's gonna be such a backlash to this, and he doesn't even see it.
00:21:54.000 I don't think he even... Maybe he doesn't care.
00:21:55.000 Maybe he doesn't care.
00:21:57.000 Because he figures he has a short-time window anyway.
00:21:59.000 So you know what?
00:21:59.000 If the American people don't like it, tough.
00:22:00.000 I'll just run right over them.
00:22:02.000 Because for a short time, he can lie to people, and people will believe him.
00:22:07.000 And then, as they become disillusioned, they won't believe him anymore, but it will be too late.
00:22:10.000 Because he will already have shifted the entire nature of the federal government.
00:22:14.000 Okay, so it's all the things.
00:22:16.000 Last night, he didn't just stop there.
00:22:18.000 He continued by suggesting that we don't just need the American jobs plan.
00:22:22.000 We need a bunch of other stuff as well.
00:22:24.000 So he says the American jobs plan is going to put people to work in America building wind turbines.
00:22:30.000 Yes, wind turbines will save the American economy.
00:22:32.000 Here's Joe Biden talking about another Green New Deal debacle.
00:22:37.000 For too long, we've failed to use the most important word when it comes to meeting the climate crisis.
00:22:44.000 Jobs.
00:22:46.000 Jobs.
00:22:47.000 For me, when I think climate change, I think jobs.
00:22:53.000 The American Jobs Plan will put engineers and construction workers to work building more energy-efficient buildings and homes.
00:23:00.000 Electrical workers, IBEW members installing 500,000 charging stations along our highways.
00:23:06.000 There is simply no reason why the blades for wind turbines can't be built in Pittsburgh instead of Beijing.
00:23:12.000 That'll save the country.
00:23:13.000 No reason.
00:23:14.000 We'll build wind turbines in Pittsburgh.
00:23:15.000 And then he gets into, you know what, not just that, we gotta pay off all of his cronies.
00:23:21.000 So he says, you know who built this country?
00:23:23.000 Unions built this country.
00:23:24.000 Weird, because unionization in the United States really didn't become a thing until the early 20th century, late 19th century.
00:23:30.000 So strange, because it seems like there was a lot of the country that was built by that point.
00:23:32.000 But, says Joe Biden, Wall Street didn't build this country.
00:23:35.000 The middle class built this country.
00:23:37.000 Okay, this kind of language is completely Inappropriate for how economics works in the United States.
00:23:44.000 The United States does not have defined classes.
00:23:45.000 Most people in the United States will occupy more than one class rung throughout their life.
00:23:51.000 And most people in the United States will start off not making a lot of money when they're 20.
00:23:54.000 And then by the time they're 30, they'll make more money.
00:23:56.000 By the time they're 40, they'll make even more money.
00:23:57.000 And by the time they retire, they will be upper middle class or upper class.
00:24:01.000 Because people make more money over the course of their lives.
00:24:03.000 But the way the Democrats talk about economics is that you're a middle class person and you're stuck in the middle class forever and you're the person who built the country because you were once in the middle class.
00:24:10.000 Guess what?
00:24:11.000 I was once middle class.
00:24:12.000 Now I don't earn like a middle class person.
00:24:13.000 Guess what?
00:24:14.000 My parents were once middle class.
00:24:15.000 Now they're retiring.
00:24:17.000 That is how economics works in the United States.
00:24:19.000 But really, all that is about is trying to pay off all of his union cronies so they can then spend a bunch of money electing Democrats.
00:24:25.000 Because the most corrupt bargain in American politics is that unions all over the country pay Democratic politicians so that those Democratic politicians give them giveaways.
00:24:33.000 It's for a group of people who claim that they're against corporate cronyism and against corporations involving themselves in politics and corruption and campaign finance reform.
00:24:43.000 The most openly corrupt bargain in politics is between big labor and the Democratic Party.
00:24:46.000 Here's Joe Biden touting it.
00:24:48.000 Wall Street didn't build this country.
00:24:50.000 The middle class built the country and unions built the middle class.
00:24:55.000 So that's why I'm calling on Congress.
00:25:00.000 To pass Protect the Right to Organize Act, the PRO Act, and send it to my desk so we can support the right to unionize.
00:25:08.000 By the way, you know what the PRO Act actually does?
00:25:10.000 It prevents workers from having a secret ballot election.
00:25:14.000 It allows the unions to engage in what they call a card check.
00:25:16.000 So they can just bully you into voting for a union.
00:25:18.000 That's what he wants.
00:25:20.000 Again, all of this is not about making the economy better.
00:25:22.000 All of this is about paying off his cronies, of course.
00:25:25.000 Okay, but he's not gonna stop there.
00:25:26.000 We need a bunch of other legislation too.
00:25:28.000 He says we need $15 minimum wage, and we need the Paycheck Fairness Protection Act, which is basically just a vehicle for litigation.
00:25:35.000 And he says, you know what?
00:25:36.000 Government can do all the things.
00:25:37.000 The most exciting thing about Joe Biden is he truly believes in his heart that government can do every single thing on earth.
00:25:42.000 My favorite, he's been saying this for years, but it is just a point of absurdity.
00:25:46.000 He says that the federal government can end cancer.
00:25:49.000 Today, presumably.
00:25:50.000 So I wanna know why Joe Biden didn't do it.
00:25:52.000 He's been in the federal government his entire career.
00:25:54.000 Does he have the secret?
00:25:56.000 Is it Dr. Jill?
00:25:57.000 She is the greatest doctor in America.
00:25:58.000 Does Fauci have in his safe somewhere the solution to cancer?
00:26:01.000 According to Joe Biden, we have the- He literally said last night, we have the power to end cancer.
00:26:07.000 Any time now, Joe, would be fan-frickin-tastic.
00:26:11.000 We have the power to end cancer.
00:26:13.000 I'm sorry, this is- It's such absurd utopian unicorn fart bullcrap.
00:26:18.000 Here's Joe, we have the power to end cancer as we know it.
00:26:21.000 Go for it, Joe.
00:26:22.000 Let's end cancer as we know it.
00:26:25.000 It's within our power.
00:26:27.000 Okay, let's end cancer.
00:26:28.000 It's within our power.
00:26:30.000 Let's end, let's end cancer.
00:26:31.000 And these bastards over here, they want you to die of cancer, because we could end cancer.
00:26:36.000 But they and their, and their budgets and their science and magic damage you build but got better It's just ridiculous But again, he has a utopian vision of government.
00:26:48.000 Okay, but didn't stop there.
00:26:50.000 Not only does the federal government have the power to just, you know, willy-nilly hire people, not only does the federal government have the ability to willy-nilly raise wages and redo work rules, not only does the federal government have the ability to build back better, not only can they end cancer, They also are going to help American families by, wait for it, wait for it, they're gonna spend a load of money.
00:27:10.000 That's, I know, I know you're shocked.
00:27:13.000 I know that you are just, right now, you can't take it.
00:27:16.000 That was, you were in suspense.
00:27:17.000 What is Joe Biden gonna do?
00:27:18.000 I'm sorry to break it to you.
00:27:19.000 He's going to spend more money.
00:27:21.000 And he's gonna spend more money on stuff that doesn't work.
00:27:23.000 So, says Joe Biden, you know how we're gonna solve America's problems?
00:27:25.000 You know how we're gonna solve America's unemployment problems?
00:27:28.000 The way we're gonna solve America's problems and our economic problems is we are going to have the Federal Reserve Inflate the dollar so that your kid can go major in lesbian dance theory at a community college to please Dr. Jill.
00:27:41.000 It's super exciting stuff.
00:27:43.000 He said he was introducing the American Families Plan tonight.
00:27:47.000 We're gonna add four years more of education.
00:27:50.000 Because when I look at the K-12 system in the United States, I say, wow, what a rousing success that's been.
00:27:55.000 When I look at American public schooling, in which we have districts in which like 10% of kids are graduating, I think, you know what?
00:28:03.000 You know what probably the solution to that is?
00:28:04.000 More money into public education.
00:28:06.000 Probably what they need is more years of public education.
00:28:08.000 That will totally solve the problem, guys.
00:28:10.000 It'll be amazing.
00:28:11.000 And we have to do it for Dr. Jill.
00:28:13.000 The greatest of all doctors.
00:28:15.000 I mean, a woman who can diagnose you with a need for a community college degree if you have gout.
00:28:21.000 It's clip 11.
00:28:21.000 We're going to add two free years of community college because Dr. Jill says we should, because she wrote a bad dissertation for the University of Delaware, where Joe Biden has a building dedicated to his name.
00:28:32.000 Here is Joe Biden talking about why Jill, community college professor, let's spend $100 billion for Jill or something.
00:28:39.000 When you add two years of free community college on top of that, you begin to change the dynamic.
00:28:46.000 Jill is a community college professor who teaches today as first lady.
00:28:51.000 She's long said, any country that out-educates us is going to out-compete us.
00:28:58.000 She'll be deeply involved in leading this effort.
00:29:00.000 Wow.
00:29:01.000 Any, any, wow.
00:29:02.000 Any country that out-educates is going to out-compete us.
00:29:04.000 So the way that we're going to educate people is by pouring more money into failing programs like Head Start, and we're going to pour more money into community colleges, which again, there's very little evidence that a community college degree paid for by the government when you couldn't get a loan in the first place is going to radically shift the nature of your economic trajectory in the United States.
00:29:21.000 But, you know, it's fine.
00:29:22.000 It's all good.
00:29:23.000 Because, you know what?
00:29:24.000 You're saying... Now, I know.
00:29:25.000 I know.
00:29:26.000 Some of you, you realists in the audience, you failed the... You're not optimistic.
00:29:30.000 You're too cynical.
00:29:31.000 Some of you are saying things like, how could you... You know, we have to pay for this.
00:29:36.000 How are we possibly going to pay for this?
00:29:37.000 The good news is Joe Biden is going to pay for this.
00:29:41.000 The way he's going to pay for this is he's going to yell at you about how rich people are bad.
00:29:45.000 He's not actually gonna come up with the money for it, but he's gonna tell you rich people are super bad.
00:29:48.000 He's going to soak the rich.
00:29:49.000 That's the way he's gonna pay for all of this garbage.
00:29:52.000 He says we can do this without increasing deficits, which is just a lie.
00:29:55.000 It is just an abject lie.
00:29:57.000 The CBO estimates that talk about not increasing deficits assume a 15-year trailing revenue source on taxation and an eight-year revenue source and an eight-year revenue suck on spending.
00:30:09.000 That's not how that crap works, okay?
00:30:11.000 Anyway, here's Joe Biden saying we can do this without increasing deficits.
00:30:16.000 I made it clear we can do it without increasing the deficits.
00:30:20.000 Let's start with what I will not do.
00:30:24.000 I will not impose any tax increase on people making less than $400,000.
00:30:28.000 But it's time for corporate America and the wealthiest 1% of Americans to just begin to pay their fair share.
00:30:38.000 It's just a fair share.
00:30:39.000 Okay, now I understand there are a lot of people who don't like rich people because they think they don't quote-unquote pay their fair share.
00:30:44.000 Let me explain, you're just wrong.
00:30:46.000 Okay, what do you mean by fair share?
00:30:49.000 The reality is in the United States the top percent of taxpayers pay all net taxes.
00:30:53.000 All.
00:30:53.000 Okay, when you take benefits that you get from the government against what you give to the government, the top 10% don't receive any benefits from the government hardly, and they pay a crap load in taxes.
00:31:02.000 The notion that if you're in the middle class or at the bottom of the economic spectrum, that you're somehow being jobbed in the tax system relative to people who are at the top end of the tax spectrum is just insane.
00:31:12.000 I know because I've paid tax having earned income in pretty much every tax bracket in the United States.
00:31:19.000 And I can tell you, my rate last year in California was well over 50% in total just income tax.
00:31:24.000 That doesn't include sales tax, it doesn't include property tax, it doesn't include any of the ancillary taxes.
00:31:28.000 When he says, by the way, he's not going to increase taxes on people making less than $400,000 a year, this assumes you're a moron.
00:31:34.000 I don't know.
00:31:35.000 Maybe it's a safe assumption.
00:31:35.000 I don't know you, but it assumes that you're an idiot because the reality is dollars are taxed, not people.
00:31:41.000 What does that mean?
00:31:42.000 That means that when a corporation is taxed, you get less income because the corporation that pays you is now paying more tax.
00:31:49.000 It means the prices rise.
00:31:50.000 You're getting taxed that way.
00:31:52.000 It means that when he tries to raise the capital gains tax, that reduces investment in the stock market.
00:31:58.000 Which means there's less investments in the stock market, which means your 401k goes down.
00:32:01.000 This notion that as long as he is not directly removing an income tax dollar from you in the middle class, it has no impact on you, if he raises taxes on everything else in the United States, is just absurd.
00:32:11.000 That's not how economics works.
00:32:12.000 He knows it.
00:32:13.000 He's just lying to you.
00:32:15.000 And then he says, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not here to, I'm not punishing anyone.
00:32:18.000 I'm just, I'm just going to do some class warfare here.
00:32:20.000 I mean, this is Bernie Sanders stuff.
00:32:22.000 It's amazing.
00:32:22.000 So long as he doesn't sound like this, so long as he's not talking like this, he can just say the exact same thing while talking like this about you.
00:32:29.000 Here he is talking about how the rich suck and he's going to soak them in all this.
00:32:32.000 You know what, Joe, give up on your houses and then we'll talk.
00:32:35.000 I'm not looking to punish anybody, but I will not add a tax burden, additional tax burden to the middle class in this country.
00:32:43.000 They're already paying enough.
00:32:46.000 I believe what I propose is fair.
00:32:48.000 Fiscally responsible.
00:32:52.000 And it raises revenue to pay for the plans I propose and will create millions of jobs that will grow the economy and enhance our financial standing.
00:33:02.000 He's losing this game here, you can hear it.
00:33:04.000 When you hear someone say they don't want to raise taxes on the wealthiest 1% or corporate America, ask them.
00:33:12.000 Whose taxes you want to raise?
00:33:15.000 Instead, whose you're gonna cut?
00:33:18.000 How about we cut everybody's taxes and we don't raise everybody's taxes?
00:33:21.000 That's my answer.
00:33:21.000 I don't want to raise anybody's taxes.
00:33:23.000 I want to cut everybody's taxes.
00:33:24.000 And I want to spend less.
00:33:26.000 That is the answer.
00:33:27.000 Now I understand that's an unpopular answer for some folks because they want their cake and they want to eat it too.
00:33:31.000 They want to have lower taxes but also spend more.
00:33:34.000 But that's irresponsible.
00:33:34.000 So you know what would be responsible?
00:33:36.000 Cutting spending.
00:33:37.000 That would be the responsible thing.
00:33:40.000 And then Joe Biden finishes with this little doozy.
00:33:42.000 He says, trickle-down economics has never worked.
00:33:43.000 Okay, trickle-down economics is a term coined by the left during the Reagan administration to describe the basic way that supply-side economics works, which suggests that investment and entrepreneurship create businesses and you get paid by those businesses.
00:33:55.000 That is how capitalism works.
00:33:56.000 That is how free markets work.
00:33:58.000 Free market economics always works.
00:34:01.000 You know what doesn't work?
00:34:02.000 The government confiscating vast quantities of wealth from job creators and companies, and then giving it to people, and then assuming that that's going to create economic growth.
00:34:10.000 It artificially boosts GDP statistics.
00:34:13.000 It does not create the forward momentum that an economy requires in order to create new products and services that you actually wish to consume.
00:34:19.000 So here he was saying, oh, trickle down at Kodajibu, because he's living in 1983.
00:34:23.000 My fellow Americans, Trickle down.
00:34:29.000 Trickle down economics has never worked.
00:34:31.000 It's time to grow the economy from the bottom and the middle out.
00:34:35.000 From the bottom and the middle and the middle out.
00:34:38.000 From the bottom, he's starting to slur his words, right?
00:34:41.000 You can see the train is beginning to slow.
00:34:43.000 It is reaching the end of the line for Joe Biden.
00:34:46.000 It's time to grow the economy from the bottom up and the middle out, which ironically is also the title of Hunter Biden's autobiography, Bottom Up and Middle Out.

00:37:08.000 You're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.
00:37:13.000 So Joe Biden really did back load a lot of the wildest stuff in the speech.
00:37:19.000 So all of the spending, we're going to give you free daycare.
00:37:22.000 We're going to give you free three and four-year-old Head Start programs and free community college and free this and free that and a free blueberry for every person and two belly buttons.
00:37:31.000 We're going to do everything you could possibly.
00:37:33.000 That was actually not the wild part of the speech.
00:37:35.000 The wild part of the speech is when he started talking about race and guns and immigration My fellow Americans, look, we have to come together to heal the soul of this nation.
00:37:45.000 America is deeply racist.
00:37:46.000 He starts off the speech with America's great.
00:37:47.000 It's a great, amazing, filled with amazing middle-class, better back bedouin.
00:37:52.000 And also, but you're racist.
00:37:55.000 So here was Joe Biden saying that you're racist.
00:37:57.000 My fellow Americans, look, we have to come together to heal the soul of this nation.
00:38:03.000 We've all seen the knee of injustice on the neck of black Americans.
00:38:07.000 Now's our opportunity to make some real progress.
00:38:11.000 you The vast majority of men and women wearing a uniform and a badge serve our communities and they serve them honorably.
00:38:20.000 My fellow Americans, we have to come together.
00:38:24.000 Okay, stop it there.
00:38:27.000 We don't need the rest of this.
00:38:32.000 Okay, so there are a few things that are worthy of note here.
00:38:35.000 One, when he says we've seen the knee of injustice on the neck of black America, this again goes back to something I've been saying for the last couple weeks.
00:38:40.000 Derek Chauvin was convicted of murder and manslaughter, but he was convicted of something of which he was not even accused.
00:38:45.000 Being a racist and America was convicted on the basis of that, of being racist, systemically racist.
00:38:50.000 And Joe Biden just continues to lie about that.
00:38:52.000 That's why he says things like the knee of injustice on the neck of black America, because Derek Chauvin is a stand in for the racist, bigoted, vicious American system.
00:39:00.000 Also, cops are all wonderful, but they are systemic bigots, right?
00:39:04.000 This is this is just bizarre, stupid crap.
00:39:07.000 And Joe Biden pushes it because, again, he needs a crisis in order to manufacture all the things that he wants to do.
00:39:14.000 Another crisis that allows him to manufacture this sort of stuff.
00:39:16.000 He says that gun violence is an epidemic in America.
00:39:19.000 An epidemic!
00:39:20.000 Again, we just had an epidemic?
00:39:22.000 I'm pretty sure it's not.
00:39:23.000 Like, a shooting in Chicago doesn't make me pick up my gun and go shoot somebody.
00:39:26.000 That's just ridiculous.
00:39:27.000 But here he was, doing this routine.
00:39:28.000 He says, gun violence is an epidemic in America.
00:39:31.000 And then, he starts talking about, like, deer in Kevlar vests?
00:39:35.000 Or something?
00:39:36.000 This is where he starts just rambling into weird territory.
00:39:40.000 Have you ever seen a deer in a Kevlar vest?
00:39:42.000 I saw one time a wolf.
00:39:44.000 And Wolf wore a cashmere sweater.
00:39:48.000 And it was weird.
00:39:49.000 Gave me a hug.
00:39:50.000 Pet him like Corn Pop's leg.
00:39:52.000 And you don't need a gun.
00:39:54.000 There's Joe Biden.
00:39:57.000 There's no possible justification for having a hundred rounds in a weapon.
00:40:04.000 What do you think, deer wearing Kevlar vests?
00:40:07.000 They're wearing Kevlar in the jubu.
00:40:10.000 Um, number one.
00:40:13.000 If deer don't wear Kevlar vests, but sometimes bad guys do too, does he really think that getting rid of 100 round clips is going to somehow, or 100 round magazines is somehow going to lower gun violence?
00:40:26.000 When was the last time you saw somebody commit a shooting only with that weapon?
00:40:30.000 Like seriously, how many homicides in America are caused by 100 round magazines?
00:40:36.000 And beyond which, forget the magazines, you're just gonna have people walking around with bandoliers, right?
00:40:40.000 It'd be like an old Western... Whatever, this is all ridiculous.
00:40:43.000 Then, he suggested that white supremacy is terrorism.
00:40:46.000 Now, this was a departure, okay?
00:40:47.000 Some of this stuff was ad-libbed, and when Joe Biden ad-libs, you are in wild territory.
00:40:52.000 So, Joe Biden on script is bad enough.
00:40:53.000 Joe Biden ad-libbing?
00:40:55.000 He's out in space somewhere.
00:40:57.000 So, he was talking about the intelligence community and how white supremacist terrorism is a threat in the United States.
00:41:03.000 Which is true.
00:41:04.000 There are white supremacist terrorists and they do do violence.
00:41:06.000 We have seen that.
00:41:07.000 But he didn't say white supremacist terrorism.
00:41:09.000 He went off script and he said something else entirely.
00:41:11.000 Something that actually is quite dangerous.
00:41:13.000 Here's what Joe Biden said with regard to terrorism.
00:41:17.000 And we won't ignore what our intelligence agency have determined to be the most lethal terrorist threat to the homeland today.
00:41:26.000 White supremacy is terrorism.
00:41:29.000 We're not gonna ignore that either.
00:41:30.000 He didn't say white supremacist terrorism.
00:41:32.000 We can stop it there.
00:41:32.000 Okay, when he says white sup... It should have been white supremacist terrorism.
00:41:36.000 That's an actual label.
00:41:37.000 When he says white supremacy is terrorism, right there, that means something very different.
00:41:41.000 Because just think of all the headlines that you've seen in the past few months.
00:41:46.000 Everything is white supremacy, according to the left.
00:41:47.000 Everything they don't like is white supremacy.
00:41:50.000 Educational inequality is white supremacy.
00:41:52.000 Systemic policing is white supremacy.
00:41:56.000 Hand sanitizer is white supremacy.
00:41:58.000 Everything is white supremacy.
00:41:59.000 So if white supremacy is terrorism, and you're going to use the power of the federal government to crack down on white supremacy, then by the transit of property, everything you don't like is terrorism.
00:42:08.000 This is why you shouldn't let Joe Biden off the chain to ad lib, because you end up in weird situations.
00:42:14.000 Okay, then he talked about immigration reform, and this honestly was one of the best parts of the speech, because he talked about how politicians have failed to do immigration reform while there are tens of thousands of children being held in cages on the border.
00:42:28.000 And then he's like, you know what my solution to that is?
00:42:29.000 He said this last night.
00:42:30.000 His solution to that was to pass legislation to make it easy for the dreamers to stay, create a pathway to citizenship for farm workers, and put permanent protections on immigrants for temporary protected status.
00:42:43.000 So, in other words, we have a crisis on the border with people washing into the border by the tens of thousands, and the only solutions he mentioned last night have nothing to do with border security.
00:42:51.000 Nothing.
00:42:53.000 Even border Democrats, like Mark Kelly, they're like, I didn't hear anything about the border there that actually makes any sense.
00:43:00.000 Okay, and then Joe Biden came to his long-awaited conclusion.
00:43:03.000 This sucker went on for an hour and a half.
00:43:05.000 And it was like listening to an old story from your grandparents and they're starting to doze off and you're starting to doze off and everybody's starting to doze off and Ted Cruz is starting to doze off, literally.
00:43:14.000 Okay, so he concludes with this.
00:43:16.000 He suggests something so absurd and dystopian that it sort of beggars the imagination.
00:43:23.000 He says that the insurrection was an existential crisis for the democracy.
00:43:27.000 And then he says something about government and America that is just fundamentally untrue.
00:43:32.000 The insurrection was an existential crisis, a test of whether our democracy could survive.
00:43:39.000 And it did.
00:43:40.000 But the struggle is far from over.
00:43:42.000 The question of whether our democracy will long endure is both ancient and urgent.
00:43:49.000 As old as our republic, still vital today, our Constitution opens with the words, as straight as it sounds, we the people.
00:43:57.000 Well, it's time to remember that we the people are the government.
00:44:02.000 You and I. Not some force in a distant capital.
00:44:07.000 Not some powerful force that we have no control over.
00:44:10.000 It's us!
00:44:12.000 It's we, the people!
00:44:13.000 This is a fundamental lie.
00:44:15.000 The government is not us.
00:44:16.000 The government is a group of people elected by us to check and balance each other and participate in limited, enumerated powers to protect our individual rights.
00:44:24.000 I am not the government.
00:44:25.000 You are not the government.
00:44:26.000 The government is not me.
00:44:28.000 The government is my agent.
00:44:29.000 And the government is supposed to have checks and balances to prevent it from becoming simple mob rule.
00:44:34.000 When he says the government is us, what he means is there should be no obstacles to my utopian and bizarre agenda.
00:44:39.000 That's what he means.
00:44:40.000 He means no checks and balances because after all, why are you worried about government?
00:44:42.000 Government's you.
00:44:44.000 He means that Joe Biden is me.
00:44:46.000 I'm Joe Biden and Joe Biden is me.
00:44:47.000 And therefore we have a complete confluence of interests because I don't oppose me.
00:44:51.000 He's a damned liar.
00:44:53.000 The fundamental basis of the Constitution of the United States is that the government is not us, which is why we should worry about what the government does, which is why there should be enumerated powers, which is why checks and balances do matter.
00:45:04.000 It's why we have federalism.
00:45:05.000 It's why we have all of these systems that are designed to prevent the government from invading individual rights.
00:45:11.000 The government is not us because we are individuals.
00:45:15.000 But Democrats hate individuals.
00:45:16.000 They like the we collectively because the we collectively allows them to ram down whatever they damn well please on individuals.
00:45:23.000 This is Joe Biden's vision.
00:45:25.000 This is radicalism dressed up in the guise of an old man wandering around a nursing home.
00:45:30.000 That is Joe Biden's vision for the country.
00:45:32.000 And he's going to go balls out for as long as he is president of the United States on this thing.
00:45:37.000 And he does not care.
00:45:38.000 I mean, he is willing to go all the way on this.
00:45:41.000 So I know a lot of people out there are like, Joe Biden's not threatening.
00:45:43.000 No, he is deeply threatening.
00:45:45.000 He's deeply threatening specifically because he plays at being non-threatening.
00:45:48.000 Because he seems non-threatening.
00:45:50.000 But if you actually read that speech, that is the single most radical address to a joint session of Congress of my lifetime.
00:45:56.000 It makes Barack Obama seem like a piker.
00:45:59.000 He wants to spend more money than has ever been created, completely rewrite the nature of the relationship between the federal government and the individual.
00:46:05.000 And he wants to say that he's doing it in your name.
00:46:08.000 Because the government is you.
00:46:10.000 The government is not you.
00:46:11.000 Joe Biden is not me.
00:46:12.000 I don't want Joe Biden anywhere near anything that belongs to me, including my individual rights, because I don't trust him with any of those things.
00:46:18.000 And you should not either if you have a bone of sanity in your body.
00:46:22.000 So all of that led up to a response by Tim Scott.
00:46:22.000 All righty.
00:46:25.000 So Tim Scott, the senator from South Carolina, of course, a key figure hated by the left because he happens to be a black Republican.
00:46:32.000 And these are folks that Ask Candace Owens, ask Shelby Steele, ask Thomas Sowell.
00:46:36.000 The most hated people in America by Democrats are Black Republicans.
00:46:40.000 According to the Democrats, they are race traitors, which is why you saw, by the way, Uncle Tim trending last night.
00:46:45.000 I'm not kidding.
00:46:46.000 You had white people calling Tim Scott Uncle Tim after, like, Uncle Tom, which is just delightful.
00:46:51.000 You know why they were pissed at Tim Scott?
00:46:53.000 I kid you not.
00:46:54.000 The reason they were pissed at Tim Scott is because Tim Scott had the temerity to say America's not racist.
00:46:57.000 The leftists were like, that's a lie!
00:46:59.000 America is racist!
00:47:00.000 You know how we know America's racist?
00:47:02.000 Because we're racist!
00:47:03.000 There's a certain irony to people whining that Tim Scott said that America is not racist.
00:47:07.000 Tim Scott should know.
00:47:09.000 He's a black man in America who has reached wild levels of success.
00:47:13.000 They say, how dare you, Tim Scott, say that America is not racist?
00:47:17.000 Yeah, Uncle Tom.
00:47:18.000 It's like, no, you're just racist.
00:47:21.000 Anyway, so Tim Scott gets up.
00:47:21.000 That's all.
00:47:23.000 And he gives what was, I think, a pretty good speech.
00:47:26.000 I think, frankly, it started off a little slow and then it really heated up.
00:47:28.000 And by the time he got to the end, it was really, really good.
00:47:30.000 So he begins.
00:47:31.000 It's the only State of the Union response address I've heard that I actually thought was of benefit to both the Republican Party and the person who gave the speech.
00:47:38.000 I've seen a lot of them, ranging from Marco Rubio and the famous water bottle thing to Bob McDonald, the former governor of Virginia speaking to a house in like the sort of stilted way.
00:47:47.000 In any case, here was Tim Scott.
00:47:49.000 He says that basically Joe Biden made a promise.
00:47:52.000 You know, he's violating his promise, which of course is true.
00:47:54.000 He promised to unite a nation, to lower the temperature, to govern for all Americans, no matter how we voted.
00:48:02.000 This was the pitch.
00:48:05.000 You just heard it again.
00:48:06.000 But our nation is starving for more than empty platitudes.
00:48:11.000 We need policies and progress that brings us closer together.
00:48:15.000 But three months in, the actions of the president and his party are pulling us further and further apart.
00:48:21.000 And of course this is true.
00:48:23.000 And then he continues and he says, you know, Joe Biden wants to define what your life is going to be like for you, but that's not the way that America is supposed to work.
00:48:29.000 He says the American dream is about you defining that for yourself.
00:48:32.000 The beauty of the American dream is that families get to define it for themselves.
00:48:39.000 We should be expanding opportunities and options for all families, not throwing money at certain issues because Democrats think they know best.
00:48:48.000 Okay, 100% true.
00:48:48.000 Now, here's the part that really, really pissed off the left, is when Tim Scott started to talk about race.
00:48:53.000 Because black people are not supposed to think this way, according to Democrats.
00:48:55.000 Democrats are racial essentialists.
00:48:57.000 They believe that black people are all supposed to vote Democrat because they say that black people have no agency in America because of white supremacy.
00:49:04.000 But Tim Scott says, no, black people do have agency because all individuals in America have agency.
00:49:08.000 And Tim Scott says, a mature adult thing, which is just because you have experienced racism from individuals, does not implicate the entire system of the United States, which of course is true.
00:49:17.000 As a Jew in the United States, I've experienced some antisemitism.
00:49:19.000 I was the number one target of online antisemitism in 2016.
00:49:22.000 That does not mean that America is systemically antisemitic.
00:49:26.000 So Tim Scott makes a rather mature point here.
00:49:29.000 So he starts off by saying, listen, I've experienced some racism myself, Again, you're not supposed to say this if you're Tim Scott, because the immediate follow-up for Democrats is, if you say, I've experienced racism, the immediate next line is supposed to be, because America is racist.
00:49:42.000 That's how you get the bizarre spectacle of LeBron James sitting on his billion dollars while doing propaganda work for China talking about how America is deeply racist and terrible to black people.
00:49:51.000 Here is Tim Scott saying, listen, I've gone through some racism myself.
00:49:54.000 It happens to lots of people.
00:49:57.000 I could call it Uncle Tom and the N-word by progressives, by liberals.
00:50:02.000 Just last week, a national newspaper suggested my family's poverty was actually privilege.
00:50:09.000 But, says Tim Scott, that does not mean that America is racist.
00:50:14.000 He says the only thing that's racist right now is the Democrats who are pushing racial essentialism and racial division in order to gain what they want politically.
00:50:21.000 A hundred years ago, kids in classrooms were taught the color of their skin was their most important characteristic.
00:50:29.000 And if they looked a certain way, they were inferior.
00:50:33.000 Today, kids are being taught that the color of their skin defines them again.
00:50:39.000 And if you look a certain way, they're an oppressor.
00:50:42.000 From colleges to corporations to our culture, people are making money and gaining power by pretending we haven't made any progress at all.
00:50:51.000 By doubling down on the divisions we've worked so hard to heal.
00:50:56.000 You know this stuff is wrong.
00:50:58.000 Hear me clearly.
00:51:00.000 America is not a racist country.
00:51:05.000 It's backwards to fight discrimination with different types of discrimination.
00:51:10.000 And it's wrong to try to use our painful past to dishonestly shut down debates in the present.
00:51:17.000 That's spectacular stuff. Fantastic, spectacular stuff there from Senator Tim Scott.
00:51:21.000 And this, of course, earned him the unremitting ire of the media.
00:51:23.000 Because how dare he point out the absolute truth, which is that they use charges of systemic racism in order to cudgel you into silence, in order to shut you up, in order to violate your individual rights.
00:51:33.000 How dare he?
00:51:34.000 And Tim Scott didn't stop there, right?
00:51:35.000 He actually explained how they do this.
00:51:36.000 He said, you guys, you want to racially polarize us so that you can use racism in order to get us to shut up about your violations of individual rights and constitutional bargains.
00:51:45.000 He says, for example, he used H.R.
00:51:47.000 1 as an example, right?
00:51:48.000 This is the federalizing of basically all state congressional races and all elections.
00:51:55.000 And H.R.
00:51:56.000 1 is a disaster area.
00:51:57.000 It basically enshrines the possibility of voter fraud and enshrines ballast harvesting.
00:52:01.000 It gets rid of voter security measures in virtually every state.
00:52:04.000 It federalizes elections.
00:52:05.000 That is a violation of the Constitution because states are supposed to draw up the way that they do their own elections.
00:52:09.000 That was not given.
00:52:10.000 The states never would have allowed the federal government to do that, ever.
00:52:13.000 Okay, in the compact that was the Constitution of the United States.
00:52:16.000 It never would have gotten signed if that had been in the Constitution of the United States.
00:52:18.000 It's just blatantly unconstitutional.
00:52:20.000 But more than that, Tim Scott makes the point, you know, you guys are talking about the Georgia voter law.
00:52:25.000 The Georgia voter law is not racist.
00:52:27.000 The Georgia voter law is more permissive than, for example, New York's voter law.
00:52:30.000 But you guys are lying about that.
00:52:32.000 Because the whole point of you constantly talking about race is that you can ram through an agenda that really has nothing to do with race.
00:52:39.000 This is not about civil rights or our racial past.
00:52:42.000 It's about rigging elections in the future.
00:52:46.000 And no, the same filibuster that President Obama and President Biden praised when they were senators, the same filibuster that the Democrats used to kill my police reform bill last year, has not suddenly become a racist relic just because the shoe is now on the other foot.
00:53:05.000 Race is not a political weapon to settle every issue the way one side wants.
00:53:11.000 It's far too important.
00:53:14.000 He is, of course, exactly right about this.
00:53:17.000 But the fact that he's exactly right about this is why the media are so upset about it.
00:53:19.000 So MSNBC had a whole panel where they said they were embarrassed for Tim Scott.
00:53:22.000 They weren't embarrassed for the senile old man warbling out $10 trillion of spending to an empty chamber filled with uselessly masked morons.
00:53:31.000 No, they weren't embarrassed for Biden.
00:53:32.000 They're embarrassed for Tim Scott for saying true things about race.
00:53:37.000 This is MSNBC in a nutshell right here.
00:53:40.000 People see him as being genuine in trying to work on criminal justice reform.
00:53:44.000 And rather than make even one single salutary point on that, he came out and lied about the Georgia bill, saying it's easier to vote in Georgia than in New York.
00:53:53.000 I am shocked and a bit embarrassed for him.
00:53:56.000 This was a lost opportunity.
00:53:58.000 Tim Scott has an opportunity to make his mark on criminal justice reform, and this ain't gonna do it.
00:54:04.000 She's unbelievable.
00:54:06.000 He tried to pass a criminal justice reform bill last year.
00:54:09.000 And it was filibustered by the now Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris.
00:54:13.000 By the way, if anybody ought to be embarrassed by anything, it's Joy Reid, who came out in the last week, last two days, and said that she jogs double-masked, outside, like an idiot, after being vaccinated, like a pathological lunatic.
00:54:25.000 I'm not talking about somebody who's a complete embarrassment to the public discourse.
00:54:28.000 Joy Reid, each and every day, proves herself an embarrassment to the public discourse.
00:54:32.000 Okay, but don't worry, the media, the same media, who are ripping Tim Scott up and down because Tim Scott's very, very bad, they're praising Joe Biden to the skies.
00:54:38.000 So Jonathan Capehart told the obviously abject lie that Joe Biden, his address had the same energy as other addresses, which is like saying that a potato battery has the same level of energy as a Tesla battery.
00:54:54.000 No, Joe Biden was like, if you could have hooked up a heart rate monitor to Joe Biden, he was barely alive.
00:55:00.000 OK, he was nearly flatlined last night.
00:55:03.000 But here's Jonathan Capehart trying to pump him up.
00:55:06.000 I thought this was, despite having maybe a quarter of the people who are normally there, I agree with Lisa, it was a much more intimate speech.
00:55:15.000 But I also think, not being in the room, but watching on television, it still, for me, had the same energy and I think a little more focus because we were not distracted by taunts or boos.
00:55:29.000 So much energy, so much brilliance, so much wonder.
00:55:31.000 And if you look at the headlines from the media, it's the same thing.
00:55:34.000 The media are just the propaganda wing for this party.
00:55:37.000 The actual headline last night is Joe Biden proposes more spending than has ever been proposed by man or God.
00:55:41.000 And old man shouts at moon, right?
00:55:43.000 Those were the two headlines.
00:55:45.000 Instead, here are the headlines from the Washington Post, which are just propaganda headlines.
00:55:49.000 Biden pitches his ambitious investment and tax plans as he recasts the role of government.
00:55:54.000 By the way, it took 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 reporters to write that headline.
00:55:57.000 Biden pitches his ambitious investment.
00:55:59.000 It's ambitious.
00:56:00.000 And it's an investment, you see.
00:56:01.000 They use exactly the same language that he uses.
00:56:03.000 It's not an investment.
00:56:04.000 It's not his money.
00:56:05.000 I cannot quote unquote invest money that I remove from you and just give to another guy with no return.
00:56:10.000 That's not an investment.
00:56:11.000 Okay, here's another headline from the Washington Post.
00:56:13.000 All of this was on the headline of the Washington Post page today.
00:56:22.000 Who's reeling?
00:56:24.000 Maybe you're reeling.
00:56:24.000 I'm not reeling.
00:56:25.000 I'm in Florida.
00:56:25.000 Everything's great.
00:56:26.000 We're good.
00:56:27.000 Here's the New York Times front page.
00:56:29.000 Okay, this is from their webpage.
00:56:31.000 Here are all of the, like, here are all the articles.
00:56:33.000 You ready?
00:56:34.000 Biden makes case to vastly expand government's role.
00:56:38.000 We have to prove democracy still works, he says.
00:56:40.000 President Biden laid out an ambitious agenda to rewrite the American social compact by vastly expanding family leave, childcare, and healthcare.
00:56:47.000 Taken together, the collection of initiatives suggest a breathtaking scope of change sought by a president who spent a lifetime as a more conventional lawmaker.
00:56:54.000 The succession of proposals amounts to a risky gamble that a country deeply polarized along ideological lines is ready for a more activist government.
00:57:03.000 And then there's a picture of him being applauded, of course, by Nancy Pelosi and Kamala Harris.
00:57:07.000 And then underneath it says, Vice President Kamala Harris and Speaker Nancy Pelosi make history on DAIS.
00:57:11.000 Wow!
00:57:12.000 Ladies with their ladiness!
00:57:15.000 President Biden kicked off his address with a string of words no American president has ever said before.
00:57:19.000 Madam Vice President and Madam Speaker.
00:57:21.000 Okay, I have a question.
00:57:22.000 Define woman.
00:57:23.000 I've been informed that gender is completely malleable, so why do you care?
00:57:27.000 You can't even say that those people are women if they don't say they're women.
00:57:29.000 So, well done media.
00:57:31.000 According to the media, Tim Scott was terrible last night and Joe Biden was magnificent.
00:57:34.000 And then you wonder why trust in the media is at an all-time low?
00:57:36.000 Here's the thing.
00:57:37.000 All this is going to come home to roost.
00:57:38.000 Joe Biden isn't going to be able to pass all of this stuff because he can't.
00:57:41.000 Reconciliation doesn't apply to many of the things that he's talking about.
00:57:43.000 He's going to try and ram through as much as he possibly can very, very quickly.
00:57:47.000 He's going to overheat the dollar.
00:57:48.000 The dollar is going to inflate.
00:57:49.000 There will be actual costs to you.
00:57:51.000 There will be costs to your business.
00:57:52.000 There will be costs to your life.
00:57:53.000 And then Joe Biden will wander off.
00:57:57.000 He'll just wander off just like he frequently does.
00:57:59.000 Just kind of like walk off and you won't know where he is.
00:58:03.000 And then there'll be a legacy written about him by Jonathan Alter or by Michael Beschloss about what a wonderful president he was.
00:58:09.000 And you'll just be stuck with the bill.
00:58:11.000 So recognize what this was last night.
00:58:13.000 It was an attempt to bludgeon you into submission by saying America is bad and also trust this nice old man to completely change the nature of government in the United States.
00:58:21.000 Don't fall for it.
00:58:22.000 Just because the nice old man seems like a nice old man doesn't mean that what he's proposing is nice or decent or good or prosperous for the United States.
00:58:29.000 It's none of those things.
