00:00:00.000 So yesterday, President Trump's second attempt in eight weeks.

00:00:04.000 Just astonishing news.

00:00:06.000 This is the first time that a president or presidential candidate, that there's been a second attempt.

00:00:38.000 All right, so yesterday, about 2 p.m., A gunman apparently showed up on Congress.

00:00:44.000 Congress is a very large thoroughfare in West Palm Beach.

00:00:48.000 Runs the length of large parts of the east coast of Florida.

00:00:53.000 And this gunman showed up outside of Donald Trump's international golf course in West Palm Beach.

00:00:59.000 Apparently, he was at the turn between the fifth and the sixth holes.

00:01:02.000 President Trump was not quite at that point in the golf course yet.

00:01:05.000 There's a couple of holes behind.

00:01:07.000 Secret Service agents were advancing.

00:01:08.000 There were a couple of holes ahead of President Trump.

00:01:10.000 They saw the alleged shooter, the would-be alleged shooter, sitting behind the fence.

00:01:14.000 The would-be shooter had apparently a pack of ceramics that were meant to block any sort

00:01:18.000 of incoming shot from Secret Service.

00:01:21.000 He had a rifle, an AK-47 with a scope.

00:01:24.000 He also had a GoPro, so he was ready to film his attempted assassination on President Trump.

00:01:29.000 It is unclear whether he got a shot off.

00:01:31.000 It appears that he probably did not.

00:01:32.000 Secret Service saw him in advance.

00:01:34.000 They shot at him.

00:01:35.000 He then proceeded to flee, and then a nearby bystander saw the license plate of the person, gave it to the cops, and this person was picked up by the police about 20 minutes later after fleeing the premises.

00:01:48.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, At least one agent, who was one or two holes ahead of Trump

00:01:52.000 on the course, fired after spotting the man pointing a rifle through a fence, law

00:01:55.000 enforcement officials said.

00:01:57.000 A witness saw the man dart out of the bushes and take off in a black Nissan, which helped

00:02:00.000 sheriff's deputies track and stop him while he was headed down I-95.

00:02:05.000 The man, who, again, I don't do names of shooters.

00:02:09.000 The reason I don't do names of shooters as a general rule is because it incentivizes

00:02:15.000 They want the publicity.

00:02:15.000 They want their cause publicized.

00:02:17.000 So instead, I give you all the details that I can about the shooter without mentioning the name of the shooter.

00:02:21.000 Because again, I don't want to incentivize.

00:02:23.000 This is probably the only good social science on mass shooters or assassins is that they want to be notorious.

00:02:28.000 They want to be well-known.

00:02:29.000 And depriving them of that is maybe the least I can do.

00:02:32.000 It's like the only thing I can do as a member of the media not to increase the sort of publicity around people who would do something evil like try to shoot the former president of the United States.

00:02:43.000 The would-be alleged shooter was detained and is facing criminal charges.

00:02:46.000 Investigators said they didn't know if the gunman himself fired a shot during the encounter.

00:02:50.000 Again, authorities found an AK-style rifle with a scope, two backpacks, and a GoPro portable camera.

00:02:56.000 He was about 400 yards away from the former president of the United States.

00:03:01.000 So the police pointed out that the man, in fact, was there for an assassination attempt.

00:03:06.000 The first breaking news, it was unclear whether he was there.

00:03:10.000 I don't know what else he would be there for.

00:03:11.000 You don't normally just go to a golf course with a gun and point it through the fence.

00:03:14.000 But here were the police yesterday announcing that the man arrested was there to assassinate.

00:03:18.000 This is Sheriff Rick Bradshaw.

00:03:22.000 1.30 this afternoon.

00:03:24.000 The call came out, shots fired.

00:03:25.000 That was called in by the Secret Service.

00:03:27.000 Because we're in constant contact with them all the time, we were notified of that and we had units here that immediately sealed off the area.

00:03:37.000 In the bushes where this guy was is an AK-47 style rifle with a scope.

00:03:45.000 Two backpacks, which were hung on the fence, that had a ceramic tile in them, and a GoPro, which he was going to take pictures of.

00:03:52.000 Again, the backpacks with the ceramic tile were presumably to provide some sort of false cover for him, in case there would be an incoming shot from Secret Service, because ceramic is very often used as sort of a cheap substitute, for example, for Kevlar.

00:04:04.000 The Secret Service representative revealed that the assassin was, in fact, quite close to the President.

00:04:09.000 If you have a rifle with a scope on it, 400 yards is not all that far.

00:04:22.000 Because the bubble moves through the golf course, so our agents will get there first, clear it.

00:04:30.000 He noticed that the rifle was pointed out, our agents engaged.

00:04:35.000 We are not sure right now if the individual was able to take a shot at our agents, but for sure our agents were able to engage.

00:04:44.000 Sheriff Bradshaw did point out that Trump does not have full perimeter protection.

00:04:48.000 So full perimeter protection is typically given to the sitting president of the United States, apparently, but not to, presumably, the leading Republican nominee for the president of the United States or the former president.

00:04:59.000 So yeah, Secret Service were sort of on him bodily, but not necessarily locking down all generalized areas.

00:05:05.000 And again, part of the problem here in terms of security is that you would have to have either Congress itself

00:05:10.000 shut off, which is a major thoroughfare, which is unlikely, or much more likely, you should have had

00:05:15.000 Secret Service agents outside the fence when the president was in fact going around the golf course.

00:05:20.000 That would have been the obvious solution here, but says Rick Bradshaw,

00:05:23.000 they actually didn't have the staff available.

00:05:25.000 If he was, we would have had this entire golf course around him.

00:05:27.000 the fence, which is where this person set up for the shot.

00:05:30.000 And it's a chain link fence.

00:05:31.000 It's not as though he had to sort of hop to get over the fence or anything like that.

00:05:35.000 At this level that he is at right now, he's not the city president.

00:05:39.000 If he was, we would have had this entire golf course around.

00:05:42.000 Well, because he's not, security is limited to the areas that the Secret Service deems

00:05:47.000 possible.

00:05:49.000 So I would imagine that the next time he comes at a golf course, there'll probably be a little

00:05:54.000 bit more people around the perimeter.

00:05:57.000 The Secret Service did exactly what they should have done.

00:06:00.000 They provided exactly what the protection should have been, and their agent did a fantastic job.

00:06:05.000 Well, it seems about time that the Secret Service be given full authority and staffing power to protect the former President of the United States, who again has now been subjected to two assassination attempts in the space of eight weeks.

00:06:18.000 We'll get back to more on the alleged assassination attempt in a moment.

00:07:23.000 According to the New York Times, the Secret Service significantly bolstered Trump's protective detail after coming under intense criticism following an attempt on his life in Butler on July 13th.

00:07:32.000 That beefed up detail, which includes additional agents and enhanced on-the-ground intelligence, might have played a role in the outcome this weekend, according to current and former officials, but the fact that a gunman was able to get a semi-automatic rifle with a telescopic sight so close to the former president underscored how many urgent problems exposed in Butler remain unresolved and how difficult it is for the Secret Service to respond to an unpredictable and increasingly violent political environment.

00:07:53.000 Except for, this is not super tough stuff.

00:07:56.000 I feel like I, anyone, could have possibly foreseen that if you have the President of the United States, former President of the United States, and again, right now, a 50-50 shot to be the next President of the United States, the most controversial person in modern American history.

00:08:09.000 Playing golf at a club that he owns, which he does fairly regularly, right?

00:08:13.000 He has several golf courses in this area and he plays them fairly regularly.

00:08:16.000 It seems like well within the possible purview of the Secret Service, you know, actually secure a fence that is not all that far away from the golf course.

00:08:25.000 Like, what would happen if the Secret Service had missed this guy hiding behind the bushes? 0.90

00:08:29.000 Like, let's say this guy had not been a complete moron, and instead of hiding behind a couple of backpacks at the exterior of this fence, there had been some sort of obstruction that he was actually hiding behind, so they couldn't actually see him from inside the golf course. 0.98

00:08:43.000 And then he had waited until President Trump had moved up a hole or two. 0.99

00:08:46.000 He would have been right next to President Trump.

00:08:49.000 Almost right next to him. 0.95

00:08:51.000 I mean, as it turns out, the shooter is pretty clearly a left-wing-oriented nutjob.

00:08:57.000 This is a person who clearly has some sort of mental issues from his record, also happens to be politically oriented to the left, as we'll get to in just one moment.

00:09:08.000 According to the New York Times, the biggest issues in Trump's protection seem to be involving securing the protective perimeter of a targeted site, even one they know as well as Trump's properties.

00:09:16.000 The would-be shooter positioned himself in the bushes on the perimeter of the former president's golf club in West Palm Beach.

00:09:21.000 A Secret Service agent was one hole ahead of Trump on the course and spotted the barrel of a gun, prompting agents to open fire on the man.

00:09:28.000 Again, right now, Joe Biden, the White House, need to authorize full Secret Service protective detail for the former President of the United States.

00:09:38.000 Clearly and obviously, this should have been done after Butler.

00:09:41.000 Maybe that's the head of the Secret Service who's at fault, again.

00:09:44.000 Or, perhaps, the staffing levels that are being provided by the White House are not sufficient to meet the need when it comes to President Trump, who, again, has been targeted by everything up to and including bullets at this point.

00:09:57.000 President Trump issued a statement And by the way, politically, his message here should be, no bullet is going to stop the change.

00:10:03.000 That should be the message right now.

00:10:04.000 Kamala Harris, not to get political too early, but everything is political. 0.63

00:10:05.000 I am safe and well. Nothing will slow me down. I will never surrender. I will always love you

00:10:09.000 for supporting me." And by the way, politically, his message here should be,

00:10:13.000 no bullet is going to stop the change. That should be the message right now. Kamala Harris,

00:10:17.000 not to get political too early, but everything is political.

00:10:20.000 It's a presidential election.

00:10:22.000 President Trump should be making the case, because she's making the case right now,

00:10:26.000 that she is a change agent when she clearly is not, as we'll talk about in a little while.

00:10:31.000 President Trump should be making the case.

00:10:33.000 No bullet will stop the change.

00:10:34.000 That's the thing he should be saying clearly, openly, and honestly.

00:10:38.000 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris put out a statement in which they said they're relieved to know that Donald Trump is safe.

00:10:44.000 Apparently, according to the White House, the President and Vice President have been briefed about the security incident at the Trump International Golf Course where former President Trump was golfing.

00:10:52.000 They're relieved to know he's safe.

00:10:53.000 They will be kept regularly updated by their team.

00:10:56.000 Now, what about the shooter?

00:10:59.000 Well, we know that his son also happens to be a left-wing-oriented nut.

00:11:03.000 His son told the Daily Mail, quote, this is the first I heard about it.

00:11:07.000 Was my father shot or injured?

00:11:09.000 He then said that his father hates Trump, as quote, every reasonable person does.

00:11:14.000 Clearly everybody is perfectly sane and reasonable and rational.

00:11:18.000 I don't like Trump either, the son added.

00:11:20.000 But he said his dad is not a violent person and couldn't believe his father would target the president.

00:11:25.000 He's my dad.

00:11:26.000 All he's had is a couple traffic tickets as far as I know.

00:11:28.000 His son said that's crazy.

00:11:29.000 I know my dad and love my dad, but that's nothing like him.

00:11:33.000 Well, I mean, that doesn't seem to be the case because we now have some information about his father's history.

00:11:39.000 His father's history is pretty checkered.

00:11:43.000 Politically, again, this is a person of the left he had exclusively donated, according to the New York Post, to Democrats since 2019.

00:11:52.000 He had apparently tweeted out something about how he wanted like a Vivek Ramaswamy, Nikki Haley ticket at one point during the last presidential cycle, during the primaries. 0.95

00:12:01.000 Which is, again, because this person is obviously pretty crazy and pretty nuts.

00:12:07.000 With that said, this person is left-wing oriented, without a doubt. 0.96

00:12:12.000 He claimed in other social media posts that he had supported Trump in his first presidential campaign in 2016, but then said that he was greatly disappointed.

00:12:20.000 However, Apparently, he also backed Tulsi Gabbard during the 2020 Democratic primary, and then he posted in favor of Vivek Ramaswamy, so all over the place.

00:12:28.000 But, overall, this is a person of the left.

00:12:31.000 Not only is he a person of the left, this person has spent an inordinate amount of time talking publicly about Ukraine.

00:12:37.000 So, for example, back in 2013, he was actually directly quoted by the New York Times In a piece about how foreigners trying to fight in Ukraine, some of them were lying, there's a piece titled, Stolen Valor, the U.S.

00:12:52.000 volunteers in Ukraine who lie, waste, and bicker. 0.52

00:12:56.000 And the would-be shooter is quoted about something called the Legion.

00:13:02.000 The Legion is a foreign body that was created in order to allow foreigners to fight in Ukraine.

00:13:10.000 It says, quote, with Legion growth stalling, the shooter, a former construction worker from Greensboro, North Carolina, is seeking recruits from among Afghan soldiers who fled the Taliban.

00:13:18.000 The shooter, who spent several months in Ukraine last year, said he planned to move them, in some cases illegally, from Pakistan and Iran to Ukraine.

00:13:24.000 He said dozens had expressed interest.

00:13:27.000 He said, we can probably purchase some passports through Pakistan since it's such a corrupt country. 1.00

00:13:31.000 And again, this is him talking to the New York Times.

00:13:34.000 We'll get to more coverage of the alleged attempted assassination of President Trump

00:13:37.000 momentarily. First, we are now approaching the one-year anniversary of the October 7th

00:13:40.000 terrorist attacks in Israel. It was a day that shook Western civilization to its core.

00:13:44.000 It's a stark reminder of the evil that exists in the world and the importance of standing with our

00:13:48.000 allies. Well, now the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is giving us a chance

00:13:52.000 to do just that with their Flags of Fellowship initiative.

00:13:55.000 It's an opportunity for us all to remember the victims, honor the heroes, pray for those

00:13:58.000 still held hostage, and highlight the unwavering support of Christians for Israel and the Jewish

00:14:02.000 people. On October 6th, thousands of Americans will be planting flags across the country to

00:14:07.000 honor the victims of October 7th.

00:14:08.000 It's a powerful visual reminder we haven't forgotten and we won't forget.

00:14:11.000 Your generous donation today will not only provide a flag symbolizing your support in church yards across America, it will also support the Fellowship's ongoing emergency efforts in the Holy Land.

00:14:20.000 We can't stay silent.

00:14:21.000 We can't stand the sidelines as anti-Semitism spreads like wildfire.

00:14:24.000 Israel needs you right now.

00:14:26.000 Visit benforthefellowship.org today.

00:14:28.000 That's benforthefellowship.org.

00:14:30.000 Israel is still under fire.

00:14:32.000 Every bit of help is doing a world of good.

00:14:34.000 Go to benforthefellowship.org.

00:14:36.000 God bless and thank you.

00:14:38.000 This person was also quoted by Semaphore.

00:14:42.000 According to Semaphore, quote, Most of the Ukrainian authorities do not want these

00:14:46.000 soldiers, said the would-be shooter, again this is back in 2023,

00:14:49.000 head of the International Volunteer Center in Ukraine, a private organization which helps foreigners seeking to

00:14:55.000 assist the war effort connect with military units and aid groups. I've had

00:14:58.000 partners meeting with Ukraine's Ministry of Defense every week and still

00:15:01.000 have not been able to get them to agree to issue one single visa.

00:15:05.000 So this person was obviously working in Ukraine, spent time in Ukraine, went to Ukraine to join the war, apparently.

00:15:12.000 And in fact was interviewed by Newsweek about his work in Ukraine.

00:15:17.000 This has been Newsweek Romania interviewing this person talking about Ukraine.

00:15:20.000 So this is not a totally anonymous person.

00:15:22.000 This person is extremely politically active, obviously invested in Ukraine, and also pretty obviously crazy.

00:15:27.000 I mean, in this interview, the would-be shooter has dyed half of his head blue and half of it yellow in honor of Ukraine's flag. 0.81

00:15:34.000 This person is pretty clearly nutty. 0.91

00:15:38.000 Here we go.

00:15:39.000 Please tell me who you are and why are you here?

00:15:43.000 I'm 56, from the U.S., from North Carolina originally, so I live in Hawaii now, so I flew all the way from Hawaii here.

00:15:52.000 So, the question as far as why I'm here?

00:15:55.000 To me, you know, a lot of the other conflicts are gray, but this conflict is definitely black and white.

00:16:01.000 This is about good versus evil.

00:16:03.000 This is a storybook, you know, any movie we ever watch, this is definitely evil against good.

00:16:09.000 Okay, so, again, this person very passionate about Ukraine, obviously, also pretty obviously pretty crazy, and Unfortunately, his son is wrong.

00:16:19.000 This person does have a fairly checkered criminal past.

00:16:22.000 Quote, this news week, the suspect has reportedly been arrested eight times, mostly for minor offenses.

00:16:27.000 He was actually convicted in 2002 of possessing a weapon of mass destruction.

00:16:31.000 That's not a nuke, apparently.

00:16:32.000 That was a fully automatic machine gun.

00:16:34.000 On December 22, a story by News & Record in Greensboro, North Carolina, said that a man with the same name was arrested after a three-hour standoff with police.

00:16:43.000 And was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possessing a weapon of mass destruction referring to a fully automatic machine gun.

00:16:50.000 So, again, all of this is indicative of a person who was unhinged, was unhinged on the left, particularly with regard to Ukraine.

00:17:01.000 In March 2022, he wrote, quote, I am willing to fly to Krakow and go to the border of Ukraine to volunteer and fight and die.

00:17:07.000 Can I be the example?

00:17:09.000 We must win.

00:17:11.000 He, uh, in June 2020, tagged Trump's account and said, I will be glad when you are gone.

00:17:17.000 In April 2024, he tagged Elon Musk in an expo saying, I would like to buy a rocket from you.

00:17:21.000 I wish to load it with a warhead for Putin's Black Sea mansion bunker to end him.

00:17:24.000 Can you give me a price, please?

00:17:28.000 So, once more, many things can be true.

00:17:32.000 One, of late, the people who have attempted to assassinate presidents of the United States Two, this person was left-wing oriented on issues like Ukraine and had been interviewed by the mainstream media, by the legacy media, on multiple occasions with regard to that.

00:17:47.000 And three, the reality is that in an extraordinarily polarized political environment, when a presidential candidate is the victim of two separate attempted assassinations, When that happens, there should be some questions raised about the temperature of our rhetoric.

00:18:02.000 Now again, the only person who's guilty of attempting to kill the former president of the United States and current frontrunner for the White House, the only person who is guilty of that thing is the attempted assassin, obviously.

00:18:13.000 However, when you raise the temperature on the political rhetoric in a country, What you are doing is you are turning up the heat beneath a pot of boiling water.

00:18:23.000 And eventually, it starts to boil over.

00:18:25.000 You see this all over the world.

00:18:26.000 This is not unique to the United States.

00:18:28.000 You see this in pretty much every democracy.

00:18:30.000 As you increase the temperature of the political rhetoric, violence becomes a byproduct of that.

00:18:36.000 We've been entering an increasingly violent era that is particularly true since Black Lives Matter summer, in which widespread political violence was greenlit by the legacy media. 0.83

00:18:45.000 We have now seen two separate assassination attempts against President Trump.

00:18:48.000 I do not think that that is a massive coincidence.

00:18:51.000 You have these free radicals who are roaming around.

00:18:54.000 They can find each other on social media and find support.

00:18:56.000 And not only that, they're being told day in and day out that Donald Trump is a deep and abiding threat to the Republic.

00:19:04.000 Again, there is a difference between saying that you don't like Donald Trump's policies or you think that Donald Trump's policies are bad for the country.

00:19:09.000 It is another thing to say, as the left has for years at this point, that Donald Trump as President of the United States would end elections in the United States, for example.

00:19:16.000 That Donald Trump and his supporters are a threat to the very social fabric of the United States.

00:19:22.000 That is a different thing.

00:19:23.000 The same day that this assassin went out and attempted to shoot Donald Trump, again, The Harris Walls campaign put out an ad by Bernie Sanders in which he said all of these things.

00:19:34.000 And we are two months out from the last attempt at assassination, when there was just a moment of respite, when people said, hey, wait a second, maybe we ought to lower the temperature just a little bit.

00:19:43.000 And they went right back to it.

00:19:45.000 If you recall, President Joe Biden was barely alive at that point.

00:19:48.000 He made a speech from the Oval Office talking about bringing down the rhetoric.

00:19:51.000 And then within 24 hours, he was out there again suggesting that Donald Trump was a deep and abiding threat to the very Republic of the United States.

00:19:58.000 Again, this is an ad that Bernie Sanders put out the same day somebody tried to shoot Donald Trump again.

00:20:03.000 Hi, this is Senator Bernie Sanders.

00:20:06.000 There is clearly not a lot of time left in this election, so I'm asking everyone to pitch in to support team Harris-Walz today.

00:20:16.000 As I think you all know, this is the most consequential election in our lifetime.

00:20:22.000 Donald Trump is extraordinarily dangerous.

00:20:25.000 He is a threat to our democracy. 1.00

00:20:27.000 He is, among many other characteristics, a pathological liar. 0.84

00:20:32.000 We together must do everything in our power to defeat Trump and his MAGA allies this November and elect Vice President Harris and Governor Walz as our next president and vice president.

00:20:44.000 The bottom line is that we cannot win this election without a strong grassroots movement.

00:20:49.000 He goes on, but extraordinarily dangerous, going to destroy America.

00:20:53.000 These are the kinds of terms the left routinely uses about Donald Trump.

00:20:57.000 He's a dictator in waiting. 0.94

00:20:58.000 He's Hitler without the mustache. 0.88

00:21:00.000 Well, the fact is that our election cycle, this is really, really unpredictable.

00:21:04.000 It's very difficult to predict the future in the middle of the craziest election cycle in history.

00:22:09.000 Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett, literally the day of this alleged attempted

00:22:14.000 assassination, said MAGA is a domestic terrorism threat.

00:22:18.000 Here she was yesterday on MSNBC with Jen Psaki, former White House press secretary. 0.67

00:22:23.000 When I talk about MAGA, I talk about the fact that when we swore in finally in January,

00:22:30.000 that we swore to defend against those that are coming against us, whether they are domestic

00:22:36.000 or international.

00:22:38.000 And right now, I feel like MAGA in general, they are threats to us domestically.

00:22:43.000 They are threats.

00:22:43.000 They are full-on threats.

00:22:44.000 Okay, you keep saying that sort of stuff over and over and over.

00:22:46.000 It's not Jasmine Crockett's fault that some alleged attempted assassin tried to kill the President of the United States, apparently.

00:22:52.000 It is, however, her fault that the temperature keeps increasing.

00:22:54.000 It keeps increasing.

00:22:55.000 And the left refuses to turn it down.

00:22:57.000 Turn down for what?

00:22:58.000 They refuse to turn it down.

00:23:00.000 In fact, the one thing they will say over and over is that Donald Trump needs to turn down the rhetoric.

00:23:04.000 So, Donald Trump is apparently the font head of all evil rhetoric and overstatement in the universe.

00:23:10.000 They themselves are perfectly innocent.

00:23:13.000 Apparently the great tragedy of somebody allegedly attempting to shoot Donald Trump again for the second time in two months, the great tragedy is that Donald Trump might say things.

00:23:20.000 That's really the thing we ought to worry about.

00:23:21.000 Here's MSNBC anchor Alex Swit, wondering if Trump should tone down the rhetoric.

00:23:27.000 We do not know, again, the source of any gunshot or gunshots.

00:23:31.000 We don't know who's responsible for this.

00:23:34.000 The whole thing has yet to be 100% confirmed from start to finish how this all played out.

00:23:40.000 But do you expect to hear anything from the Trump campaign about toning down the rhetoric, toning down the violence, or would that be atypical of the former president?

00:23:51.000 Again, for the media, the problem is always Trump.

00:23:54.000 Someone tries to allegedly shoot Trump, and the problem is Trump.

00:23:58.000 Always, forever.

00:23:59.000 I mean, it's amazing.

00:24:02.000 Meanwhile, NBC's Lester Holt saying the same thing.

00:24:04.000 He says, the GOP, their rhetoric, man, they should really tone it down.

00:24:09.000 Someone allegedly attempted to shoot Donald Trump in the head.

00:24:11.000 Again!

00:24:12.000 And the first reaction of the legacy media is, we're doing an amazing job.

00:24:15.000 Everything we say about Donald Trump is 100% true, and he should tone down the rhetoric.

00:24:20.000 Today's apparent assassination attempt comes amid increasingly fierce rhetoric on the campaign trail itself.

00:24:26.000 Mr. Trump has running mate J.D.

00:24:28.000 Vance continue to make baseless claims about Haitian immigrants in Ohio.

00:24:33.000 This weekend, there were new bomb threats in that town.

00:24:36.000 Our Maggie Vespa is in Columbus, Ohio, with more.

00:24:39.000 Lester, simply put, Springfield, Ohio has been inundated by threats.

00:24:43.000 Over the last several days, closing government buildings, schools, hospitals.

00:24:46.000 Today, effectively closing a local university campus after administrators said someone threatened a mass shooting targeting Haitians.

00:24:54.000 This in light of, officials say, a false online conspiracy theory alleging Haitian immigrants in that city are eating people's pets.

00:25:03.000 Okay, so again, they're going right back to the well.

00:25:06.000 The well is always that Donald Trump is at fault, that J.D.

00:25:08.000 Mann's at fault. 0.91

00:25:08.000 Even when someone tries to shoot Donald Trump, allegedly, they are at fault. 0.91

00:25:12.000 And by the way, just in case you thought that those moderators in the last presidential debate weren't unbiased, here is ABC's Lindsay Davis, who is anchoring her first Sunday edition of World News Tonight since the debate.

00:25:24.000 She immediately moves from talking about the second Trump assassination attempt to talking about Trump's outsized rhetoric or Vance's outsized rhetoric.

00:25:33.000 Tonight, breaking news as we come on the air.

00:25:35.000 Shots fired at Donald Trump's golf club in Florida as a former president was nearby.

00:25:41.000 The Secret Service opening fire after spotting a man with an assault-style rifle.

00:25:45.000 One suspect is now in custody.

00:25:47.000 The former president is safe.

00:25:49.000 The details just coming in from West Palm Beach.

00:25:51.000 The Secret Service treating this as a threat against the former president.

00:25:55.000 Agents have detained a suspect and have recovered a weapon.

00:25:58.000 This comes two months after the former president survived an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

00:26:03.000 Pierre Thomas and Mary Alice Parks lead tonight's coverage.

00:26:06.000 Also tonight, Springfield, Ohio on edge.

00:26:09.000 Local schools are being threatened with violence and a college shuts down activities after threats were made following the baseless rumors that Haitian immigrants have been eating pets.

00:26:18.000 Republican vice presidential candidate J.D.

00:26:20.000 Vance defends spreading those claims. 0.51

00:26:23.000 The Ohio governor calls the rumors garbage and says the immigrants are here to work.

00:26:27.000 Meanwhile, CNN's Juliette Kayyem, she's lamenting this might be used for political purposes.

00:26:31.000 Remember, that's always the problem.

00:26:33.000 It's the Republicans pouncing that's the problem.

00:26:36.000 I really, you know, I don't care what you feel about him or Harris.

00:26:41.000 I mean, this is the expectation that he will be safe.

00:26:44.000 And the reason why this is, you know, in some ways you said how close the election is.

00:26:51.000 The problem is this is a safety issue that is being thrown into a very intense political environment in which the very fact of an assassination, a constitutional moment, because it could have impacted voters, will be used for political purposes.

00:27:10.000 And that to me is just exceptionally unfortunate because Whatever your beliefs are, we do deserve to have campaigns where violence isn't being used as either a sword or a shield.

00:27:30.000 Amazing.

00:27:31.000 David Frum, another sort of former never-Trump Republican who's turned into a full-scale Democrat in the style of the bulwark, for example.

00:27:38.000 David Frum, who writes for The Atlantic, he tweeted, quote, Trump and his running mate have spent the past week successfully inciting violence in Springfield, Ohio.

00:27:46.000 Today, they want to present themselves as near victims of violence, in this case of violence completely unrelated to themselves and at a very safe distance from themselves.

00:27:54.000 Wait, what?

00:27:55.000 A very safe distance from them?

00:27:56.000 Like, is 400 yards a very safe distance from Donald Trump?

00:28:00.000 Because I feel like that is not, in fact, the case.

00:28:02.000 And again, the sword only works one way.

00:28:05.000 For the left, if something bad happens to a left-winger, it is because of right-wing rhetoric, whether or not it's because of right-wing rhetoric.

00:28:12.000 When a mass shooter hits Gabby Giffords in the head, Gabby Giffords in the head, and it turns out it has nothing to do with Sarah Palin, it's still Sarah Palin's fault.

00:28:22.000 When somebody who is tangentially interested in Trumpian politics does anything remotely violence related, then of course it accrues directly to Donald Trump's demerit column.

00:28:33.000 But if twice in two months somebody tries to shoot Trump in the head, allegedly, if that happens twice in two months, then apparently the left has no responsibility for that whatsoever.

00:28:44.000 None.

00:28:46.000 Bad things just never attach.

00:28:47.000 So long as you say the right things, so long as you are politically oriented correctly, if you are of the left, you can say whatever you want and nothing will ever touch you.

00:28:56.000 There will never ever be any responsibility for even increasing the temperature.

00:29:01.000 Forget about the shootings.

00:29:02.000 Increasing the temperature will never ever be your fault because you're just speaking truth.

00:29:06.000 Well, as long as you're on the left, you can say pretty much what you want without any fear that there will be blowback.

00:29:11.000 It's a rough world out there.

00:29:13.000 The one thing that you can guarantee is your own health if you do the right thing.

00:29:16.000 So I fly around a lot.

00:29:18.000 Unfortunately, it's election season.

00:29:19.000 I'm moving a lot.

00:29:20.000 That means I have to keep my health at its very best.

00:29:22.000 That's tough on the roads.

00:29:23.000 I exercise.

00:29:24.000 I try to get enough sleep.

00:29:25.000 I eat well.

00:29:25.000 I need balance of nature.

00:29:26.000 Balance of nature fits right into my day-to-day.

00:29:28.000 Imagine trying to eat 31 different fruits and veggies every day.

00:29:31.000 It sounds miserable and time-consuming.

00:29:33.000 With balance of nature, fruits and veggies, there's never been a more convenient dietary supplement to ensure you get a wide variety of fruits and veggies every day.

00:29:39.000 Balance of nature takes fruits and veggies.

00:29:41.000 They freeze-dry them, they turn them into a powder, and then they put them into a capsule.

00:29:43.000 You take your fruit and veggie capsules every day, and then your body knows precisely what to do with them.

00:29:48.000 It's kosher, which means I can put it into the protein smoothie that I take every single morning.

00:29:51.000 Go to balanceofnature.com, use promo code SHAPIRO for 35% off your first order as a preferred customer.

00:29:59.000 That's balanceofnature.com, promo code SHAPIRO.

00:30:02.000 It's hard to keep healthy out there, honestly. 0.97

00:30:04.000 It's time-consuming, it's a pain in the butt. 0.51

00:30:06.000 Balance of Nature will help you out. 0.93

00:30:07.000 By the way, I don't even think that Joe Biden sees Donald Trump as a grave threat.

00:30:10.000 It's all lies. 0.94

00:30:10.000 It's all dishonest. 0.94

00:30:10.000 first order as a preferred customer and get a free bottle of fiber and spice. 0.94

00:30:14.000 Now the reality is I think most people see through this.

00:30:16.000 I think most Americans do not see Donald Trump as a grave threat.

00:30:19.000 By the way, I don't even think that Joe Biden sees Donald Trump as a grave threat.

00:30:22.000 It's all lies. 0.94

00:30:23.000 It's all dishonest.

00:30:24.000 We know it's dishonest because literally last week, Joe Biden put on a MAGA hat.

00:30:28.000 On September 11th, he was over in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, visiting firefighters and they were all Trump supporters.

00:30:35.000 And as a joke, he put on a MAGA hat.

00:30:37.000 Now, everyone took that as sort of lighthearted, which it was.

00:30:40.000 It is worth noting at this point that if Joe Biden really thought about Donald Trump, what he says he believes about Donald Trump, he would never have put on a MAGA hat.

00:30:48.000 If Donald Trump really was the sort of Nazi threat to the Republic that Joe Biden and the Democratic Party have made him out to be, nothing in the world could get him to put on the MAGA hat.

00:30:57.000 It'd be the equivalent of putting on a Nazi hat or a Hamas hat or a Hezbollah hat. 0.79

00:31:01.000 He wouldn't do it.

00:31:02.000 Because according to them, Donald Trump is the gravest threat to the Republic in the history of the United States.

00:31:07.000 January 6th, caused by President Trump, was the worst thing for the American body politics since the Civil War.

00:31:14.000 And yet there he was, putting on the MAGA hat.

00:31:15.000 Which is weird, because they don't actually believe it.

00:31:17.000 They don't actually believe it.

00:31:19.000 They just say it over and over and over for political, cynical reasons.

00:31:23.000 Meanwhile, the state of the race remains incredibly close.

00:31:26.000 There's a poll out from Iowa that shows Donald Trump's Iowa lead shrinking significantly.

00:31:31.000 The Seltzer poll, which is usually the best on poll in America, says that Donald Trump's Iowa lead has shrunk from 18 points over Joe Biden in late spring, down to about four points in Iowa.

00:31:44.000 Again, that demonstrates some renewed momentum, obviously, for Kamala Harris.

00:31:48.000 With all of that said, the race remains insanely close.

00:31:53.000 Kamala Harris is within margin of error in seven different states.

00:31:56.000 Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina.

00:32:01.000 Nate Silver, at this point, is still suggesting that Donald Trump is the favorite in the election, despite the fact that Kamala Harris is ahead a little bit in the national polling.

00:32:12.000 There's been movement toward her, but that movement toward her has not overcome the structural imbalances in the Electoral College.

00:32:19.000 According to Nate Silver right now, if you had to take a bet, the electoral college probability for Trump is about 60% to about 40% for Harris, which means it is effectively a toss-up election.

00:32:29.000 We have yet to see any new state polling, really, since the debate, so we don't know the impact of the debate.

00:32:34.000 I would suggest that this race is stagnant, that everybody is basically locked in at this point.

00:32:40.000 Which means, as I've said before, if Donald Trump can be meticulous in his attacks on Kamala Harris, then he will win.

00:32:46.000 It really comes down to that.

00:32:47.000 It's that simple.

00:32:48.000 Kamala Harris is an undefined quantity.

00:32:49.000 That debate did not define her better.

00:32:52.000 It defined President Trump better, but everybody already had a very clear picture of Donald Trump.

00:32:56.000 It marginally made Trump look worse than people already think he is.

00:33:00.000 That's pretty much all that happened with Trump.

00:33:02.000 Trump was already a crisp photo, and he got a little crisper.

00:33:06.000 And then, during that debate, Kamala Harris was a vague blob of an image, and she's still a vague blob of an image, and nobody knows what the hell she believes or what she thinks.

00:33:14.000 Which is why the attempt to vibe her all the way to the White House will fail so long as the Trump campaign can actually move to define her. 0.99

00:33:22.000 And all the attempts to do otherwise, all the attempts to sort of gloss over the top with the vibes and the feelings and the brat and all that, I don't think that that is destined to succeed.

00:33:30.000 That's not going to stop the media from doing their damnedest to try.

00:33:33.000 Brian Stelter, Mr. Potato Head, he was back on CNN after losing his job over there, saying that the most important things about Kamala Harris are the images surrounding her.

00:33:42.000 That is not remotely true.

00:33:44.000 Her policies will, in fact, come into question very, very soon.

00:33:48.000 She's so obviously visually not Joe Biden, right?

00:33:51.000 She is the hope and change and youthful energy in this race.

00:33:55.000 To me, the images are more important than anything she's saying right now.

00:33:58.000 When she keeps filling these rallies, that's probably more important than what she says out loud at the rallies.

00:34:02.000 It's the images.

00:34:03.000 It's the images.

00:34:03.000 That's all that matters.

00:34:04.000 Except that it doesn't.

00:34:05.000 I know that the Washington Post is running entire style section articles about dressing Kamala Harris. 0.99

00:34:11.000 Harris seized the moment Saturday to speak to black lawmakers at a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation event, and she used her dress to help her do it. 0.96

00:34:18.000 Wow!

00:34:19.000 She wore a long-sleeved black sequined column dress by New York designer Laquan Smith.

00:34:24.000 Amazing.

00:34:25.000 Just incredible.

00:34:27.000 That's the important thing.

00:34:28.000 Except for it isn't.

00:34:29.000 Except for she is going to actually, at some point, have to explain what it is she wants to do with the United States.

00:34:36.000 And every time she does it, it gets worse.

00:34:38.000 This is why a meticulous Trump campaign... I keep coming back to this.

00:34:41.000 This election is, in fact, Donald Trump and J.D.

00:34:43.000 Vance's election to lose.

00:34:45.000 It is their election to lose.

00:34:46.000 I say this is a Trump donor.

00:34:47.000 I say this is somebody who wants Trump to win.

00:34:50.000 I say this as somebody who's going to go campaign with a series of Senate Republican candidates.

00:34:54.000 I want Donald Trump to win.

00:34:55.000 I want the Republicans to retain the House.

00:34:58.000 I want them to increase their share of the Senate to a solid majority.

00:35:02.000 Donald Trump needs to run a meticulous campaign.

00:35:05.000 Yes, he is facing entrenched obstacles worse than any president of my lifetime.

00:35:09.000 Yes, the media hate him more than they've ever hated anybody ever before.

00:35:12.000 They hated George W. Bush an awful lot, but they hate Trump even more.

00:35:16.000 Yes, he is facing systemic obstacles in a wide variety of places, ranging from state laws in some of the swing states to the obviously media Democrat complex.

00:35:27.000 With that said, he is still running neck and neck with a horrifically bad candidate.

00:35:32.000 And Kamala Harris proves it every time she goes out on the campaign trail. 0.99

00:35:35.000 This is why it was such a frustration that Donald Trump blew the opportunity in the debate to actually hold her accountable, instead getting distracted with various rabbit holes that he wished to run down about his own tariff plans or about his crowd size.

00:35:47.000 In just one second, I'm going to bring you Kamala Harris uncut. 1.00

00:35:49.000 And man, it is terrible.

00:35:51.000 Kamala Harris Off script is a disaster area, and the Trump campaign should be making the most of it. 0.99

00:35:56.000 We'll get to that in just one second.

00:35:58.000 First, this weekend, we took on Hollywood's heavyweights at the box office.

00:36:01.000 Am I Racist didn't just hit theaters, it shook them.

00:36:04.000 Right now, Am I Racist is the number four movie in the country.

00:36:08.000 That is correct, number four.

00:36:09.000 We achieved this with just 1,500 theaters, while the elite studio releases ahead of us are playing in two to three times as many locations.

00:36:16.000 Here's something those major studios don't have.

00:36:18.000 A 99% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes with over a thousand reviews.

00:36:21.000 Plus, Amiracist is already verified hot. 0.90

00:36:24.000 Now we need to make week two even bigger.

00:36:25.000 Let's keep the momentum going.

00:36:27.000 Here's how we do it.

00:36:27.000 Go to Amiracist.com right now for tickets and showtimes near you.

00:36:31.000 You've already seen it.

00:36:32.000 Tell your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers.

00:36:34.000 Tell everybody.

00:36:35.000 If you haven't seen it, go get all of them to come with you to the theater.

00:36:37.000 Post it on your socials.

00:36:39.000 We can see it.

00:36:39.000 We're sharing it.

00:36:40.000 We're loving it.

00:36:41.000 Keep filling the theaters.

00:36:42.000 I'm getting notes everywhere from Florida all the way over to like Marin County of packed theaters going to see Matt Walsh's brand new film, one of the hottest films in the country, Am I Racist?

00:36:51.000 Thank you to everybody who joined us for opening weekend.

00:36:53.000 We truly couldn't do any of this without your support.

00:36:55.000 Let's keep the momentum going.

00:36:56.000 Get your tickets right now at amiracist.com.

00:36:58.000 Alrighty, so as I say, Kamala Harris is awful when she's off script. 1.00

00:37:02.000 Again, I think it's a tragedy that President Trump didn't shellack her in the debate, but this election still has 50 days to go.

00:37:08.000 It's time to define her.

00:37:09.000 And she is defining herself every day.

00:37:11.000 The media are ignoring it.

00:37:12.000 The media are preferring to focus on what dress she wore when she spoke to the Congressional Black Caucus or something.

00:37:17.000 They're preferring to focus on her crowd sizes or Taylor Swift or whatever.

00:37:21.000 It is an obligation, a moral obligation for the Trump bans campaign to just play clips of Kamala Harris over and over and over.

00:37:28.000 Over the weekend, she had what ought to have been the interview of the year, like leading the news on every network because she has only done two interviews.

00:37:36.000 Donald Trump has survived more assassination attempts this year than Kamala Harris has done solo interviews since becoming the nominee.

00:37:44.000 I'm not even kidding.

00:37:45.000 Donald Trump was nearly shot on July 13th, and then he was apparently nearly assassinated over the weekend.

00:37:52.000 Kamala Harris has done one solo interview since becoming the nominee.

00:37:55.000 One.

00:37:56.000 It happened over the weekend, and it was awful.

00:37:59.000 Apparently, she did this interview with ABC 6 Local, and she answered a grand total of five questions, which is really exciting stuff.

00:38:09.000 So this interview did not go well for Kamala Harris.

00:38:12.000 Again, she went to ABC again because ABC are like her very, very best friends.

00:38:16.000 One of the things that we actually found out over the weekend is that ABC News anchor Lindsay Davis, who is one of the moderators in the debate, of course, She admitted in a post-debate interview with the LA Times that she wanted to address concerns Trump's statements could be allowed to, quote, hang there unchallenged by his opponent or the moderators.

00:38:32.000 And so she was preparing to fact-check Trump, but didn't prepare to fact-check, apparently, by omission, anything about Kamala Harris, which is why Kamala Harris was never fact-checked.

00:38:41.000 Apparently, she told the LA Times people were concerned that statements were just allowed to hang and not be disputed by the candidate Biden at the time or the moderators in the first debate.

00:38:50.000 So, she prepped to fact-check Trump, but not fact-check him, of course.

00:38:54.000 So, Kamala went back to the well, she sat down with ABC6 Action News, a local affiliate of ABC News, and she answered a grand total of five questions from Action News 6 ABC anchor Brian Taft.

00:39:08.000 It began with him asking what she would specifically do to bring down prices as President of the United States.

00:39:13.000 And here was her horrifyingly bad answer. 0.99

00:39:16.000 Because she's trash at this. 1.00

00:39:18.000 I understand she's vibes, and she's brat, and she's cool, and she's, oh man, she's just the feelings, oh, the joy, so much joy! 0.99

00:39:26.000 She's awful at this! 1.00

00:39:27.000 It's one of the things that is driving everyone nuts who watches politics, even Sort of by way of fun, even if you are just tangentially associated with politics, if you've seen a tape of Kamala Harris in the past six years, she's awful at this. 1.00

00:39:40.000 And we're told she's great at this.

00:39:41.000 Here is her being awful at this. 0.67

00:39:44.000 When we talk about bringing down prices and making life more affordable for people, what are one or two specific things you have in mind for that?

00:39:53.000 Well, I'll start with this.

00:39:54.000 I grew up a middle-class kid.

00:39:58.000 My mother raised my sister and me.

00:40:00.000 She worked very hard.

00:40:02.000 She was able to finally save up enough money to buy our first house when I was a teenager.

00:40:09.000 I grew up in a community of hard-working people.

00:40:12.000 Construction workers and nurses and teachers.

00:40:15.000 I try to explain to some people who may not have had the same experience, but a lot of people will relate to this.

00:40:23.000 I grew up in a neighborhood of folks who were very proud of their lawn.

00:40:28.000 When I talk about building an opportunity economy, it is very much with the mind of Investing in the ambitions and aspirations and the incredible work ethic of the American people, and creating opportunity for people, for example, to start a small business.

00:40:45.000 So we build a square, just healthy, we build a square, it looks like a lawn, and then we build a triangle to support the middle class.

00:40:54.000 Okay, you might have noticed that the actual question was, can you name some specific ways to bring down inflation?

00:40:58.000 She's like, I was born back in the 1960s.

00:41:04.000 And let me tell you, when God first created Adam and Eve in the garden, there were trees.

00:41:11.000 And in those trees were fruit.

00:41:13.000 Some might say, you know, some people don't understand fruit.

00:41:16.000 They don't, they don't understand fruit.

00:41:20.000 What are you talking about?

00:41:21.000 What, what the, what, what the?

00:41:24.000 Here's the thing.

00:41:25.000 She was asked this specific question at the same debate.

00:41:28.000 People wonder why I'm frustrated about the debate.

00:41:29.000 I'm frustrated because it was such a blown opportunity, but she keeps doing it, so the opportunity is still there.

00:41:34.000 The question was, how are you going to bring down inflation?

00:41:36.000 And she's like, chapter one, I am born.

00:41:40.000 Like, well, what?

00:41:40.000 No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

00:41:45.000 And then she continues like this.

00:41:46.000 So she starts jabbering about the American dream.

00:41:49.000 It's elusive.

00:41:50.000 It's not attainable.

00:41:51.000 You literally are a person who just said you grew up middle class to impoverished, according to you, despite being born to two Berkeley professors and growing up in Canada in an upper class neighborhood.

00:42:03.000 And then you suggest the American dream is elusive.

00:42:06.000 Well, you seem to be the very embodiment of the American dream, given you have no redeeming qualities and yet are the presidential nominee for the Democratic Party and possible current front runner.

00:42:15.000 Maybe that... Here we go.

00:42:18.000 Look, we don't have enough housing in America.

00:42:20.000 We have a housing supply shortage.

00:42:22.000 And what that means, in particular for so many younger Americans, the American dream is elusive.

00:42:28.000 It's just actually not attainable.

00:42:30.000 It's elusive.

00:42:33.000 She's maddening to watch.

00:42:34.000 She's maddening.

00:42:34.000 Just a series of bumper stickers searching the landscape in search of meaning.

00:42:38.000 It's amazing.

00:42:40.000 And then she's asked to name a difference between her and Biden.

00:42:42.000 And she's like, well, I well, and then also and I'm and I'm a black woman.

00:42:49.000 Here we go.

00:42:49.000 And so I wonder if there are one or two spots, policy areas or approaches where you would say,

00:42:56.000 I'm a different person.

00:42:57.000 Well, I'm obviously not Joe Biden.

00:43:00.000 Yes, you know, I.

00:43:03.000 I offer a new generation of leadership.

00:43:06.000 So, for example, thinking about developing and creating an opportunity economy where it's about Investing in areas that really need a lot of work.

00:43:19.000 And maybe focusing on, again, the aspirations and the dreams, but also just recognizing that at this moment in time, some of the stuff we could take for granted years ago, we can't take for granted anymore.

00:43:30.000 She's awful.

00:43:32.000 Can you name why you're different? 0.72

00:43:33.000 Name some policies where you're different from Joe Biden.

00:43:35.000 Well, I'm obviously not the same human as Joe Biden.

00:43:37.000 Wow.

00:43:38.000 Wow.

00:43:39.000 You answered that question.

00:43:40.000 Congratulations.

00:43:40.000 There are 8 billion of us on planet Earth.

00:43:42.000 You're not like any of those other people either because you're a different person than those people.

00:43:46.000 What?

00:43:46.000 How are?

00:43:47.000 OK, if you lose to this, if you lose to this, you deserve to lose this.

00:43:50.000 I don't know how else to put it.

00:43:51.000 You cannot lose to this. 0.99

00:43:52.000 She's awful. 0.99

00:43:53.000 She's awful in every possible way. 1.00

00:43:54.000 it is possible to be awful. 0.61

00:43:56.000 She was asked about her support for the assault weapons ban.

00:43:59.000 And here's her answer.

00:44:01.000 I feel very strongly that it is consistent with the Second Amendment and your right to

00:44:07.000 own a gun to also say we need an assault weapons ban.

00:44:11.000 They're literally tools of war.

00:44:14.000 They're not.

00:44:14.000 They were literally designed to kill a lot of human beings quickly.

00:44:20.000 I say we need universal background checks.

00:44:22.000 The majority of NRA members support that.

00:44:24.000 Okay, you literally are not even describing why your policy is in consonance with the Second Amendment.

00:44:30.000 At all. 0.99

00:44:30.000 I mean, honestly, it's very easy to get exercised over all of this stupidity, and sometimes you just need to, you know, kind of vibe out. 0.99

00:44:38.000 Really vibe. 0.99

00:44:38.000 And that's when you need one of these. 0.99

00:44:41.000 Behold.

00:45:36.000 Finally, she finishes up with a pitch to Trump supporters.

00:45:43.000 Do you feel convinced?

00:45:44.000 As a Trump supporter, I can tell you, I remain unconvinced.

00:45:48.000 What do you understand his appeal to be and how do you speak to his voters or maybe people who just share his values but are open to something else?

00:45:57.000 I, based on experience and a lived experience, I know.

00:46:05.000 In my heart, I know.

00:46:07.000 In my soul, I know.

00:46:08.000 Oh, in her heart and her soul.

00:46:09.000 That the vast majority of us as Americans have so much more in common than what separates us.

00:46:13.000 Oh, that's a platitude.

00:46:14.000 And I also believe that I am accurate in knowing that most Americans want a leader who brings us together as Americans.

00:46:25.000 And not someone who professes to be a leader who is trying to have us point our fingers at each other.

00:46:35.000 Oh my God!

00:46:36.000 Why are you even pretending this person is good at this?

00:46:38.000 She's awful at this! 1.00

00:46:39.000 She's awful! 1.00

00:46:40.000 There's a reason Joe Biden was like, I'd rather run than her, because at least I have some brain cells. 0.99

00:46:45.000 She's the emptiest vessel in the world.

00:46:47.000 These are easy questions, simple, predictable, easy questions.

00:46:49.000 She's blowing every single one of them, which means The Trump campaign needs to point that out over and over without being distracted by sillinesses. 1.00

00:47:00.000 Kamala Harris isn't just incoherent, she's also a liar. 1.00

00:47:02.000 You remember during the debate when she claimed that there were no American soldiers in active duty war zones, which is absolutely 100% untrue.

00:47:08.000 Perhaps the funniest clip of the weekend came via members of the American military who I believe are stationed in Jordan.

00:47:14.000 Here is their reaction to Kamala Harris telling this insane lie.

00:47:18.000 Well, I'll tell you, I agreed with President Biden's decision to pull out of Afghanistan.

00:47:24.000 Four presidents said they would, and Joe Biden did.

00:47:28.000 And as a result, America's taxpayers are not paying the $300 million a day we were paying for that endless war.

00:47:35.000 And as of today, there is not one member of the United States military who is in active duty in a combat zone in any war zone around the world the first time this century.

00:47:47.000 We're in war?

00:47:48.000 But let's understand... So where the f*** are we right now? 0.76

00:47:54.000 You can see all these guys being like, what now? 0.87

00:47:57.000 What? 0.98

00:47:59.000 Because she's a liar? 1.00

00:48:00.000 Wes Moore, who's a sycophantic supporter of her campaign, he's a surrogate, he had to walk this one back on Face the Nation yesterday.

00:48:09.000 Well, I think what the intent was, was that this is not counter to the convictions of the Trump administration, that somehow our world was safer under him or we had less people in conflict.

00:48:25.000 That is just not true.

00:48:27.000 But I think the really important thing to remember is that we do have people who are in harm's way every single day.

00:48:33.000 We have soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines, Coast Guardsmen who every single day are out there with our flag on their shoulder and who are defending our freedoms and defending our values.

00:48:45.000 Um, yeah, well, I mean, maybe she should have said that, as opposed to, you know, being a terrible liar.

00:48:50.000 And the thing about the Harris-Walls campaign, it's not just empty, it's false.

00:48:55.000 But it is also really, really empty. 0.90

00:48:56.000 So, it turns out that her running mate, Tim Walls, who's a super-duper weirdo, I mean, I don't know how many times I have to point this out, the dude's a weirdo.

00:49:02.000 Have you seen him come out at a rally? 0.57

00:49:04.000 He looks like he just did a line in the back room.

00:49:07.000 He comes out, he starts waving his arms like a nutjob, he's pointing to people who don't exist. 0.74

00:49:13.000 Shouting and screaming and ranting and raving. 0.96

00:49:15.000 And then there's his wife.

00:49:16.000 Now, you remember his wife.

00:49:17.000 His wife is the lady who's caught on tape during the Black Lives Matter riot saying that she left her windows open so she could smell burning tires because it made her feel better about her con- Like, she's- Okay, but she's also the worst substitute teacher you ever had. 0.98

00:49:34.000 So, here she was rallying with her crazy husband. 0.98

00:49:37.000 Even her husband's embarrassed by her. 0.98

00:49:38.000 Honest, just watch Tim Walz in the background.

00:49:40.000 Even he's like, honey, you gotta stop this.

00:49:43.000 She's at the podium, and she starts talking about turning the page, but only by irritating the living crap out of everyone in a 300 mile radius. 0.94

00:49:51.000 Wow, you would not want this lady in your homeroom. 1.00

00:49:53.000 She showed up in your homeroom, you would dive out that glass window, shards following you.

00:49:57.000 Here we go.

00:49:58.000 But I kinda liked it when she did this.

00:50:01.000 Turn the page.

00:50:03.000 You like that?

00:50:04.000 Okay, so I need you to be with me and practice with me.

00:50:08.000 What are we going to do?

00:50:09.000 We're going to turn the page.

00:50:11.000 Oh, pretty good.

00:50:12.000 Do it again.

00:50:12.000 We're going to turn the page.

00:50:15.000 And we're going to turn the page.

00:50:16.000 Alright, so I'm going to be watching you because when I see Wisconsin, and I'm watching National Land TV because it's a pretty important place and Minnesota will help you practice with this.

00:50:29.000 You just show me this.

00:50:31.000 Turn the page.

00:50:32.000 Right?

00:50:32.000 Turn the page.

00:50:33.000 And you know what else that looks like?

00:50:35.000 Look at him.

00:50:35.000 He's like, get her off there.

00:50:37.000 Get her. 0.58

00:50:37.000 Buh-bye. 0.58

00:50:38.000 It looks like buh-bye.

00:50:40.000 Buh-bye, Donald Trump!

00:50:41.000 We are turning the page!

00:50:46.000 Oh! 0.60

00:50:46.000 Wait, wait, wait, wait, are you? 0.60

00:50:47.000 Wait, what are you turning?

00:50:49.000 Is it the page?

00:50:50.000 Wait, wait.

00:50:50.000 52 days!

00:50:51.000 Can you do it again?

00:50:51.000 We are turning the page!

00:50:53.000 Wait, again!

00:50:53.000 Oh, thank you!

00:50:54.000 52 days in!

00:50:55.000 Wait, wait, what are you?

00:50:59.000 Oh my god.

00:51:01.000 Are you ready for four years of that?

00:51:02.000 Is this what you want?

00:51:04.000 I swear.

00:51:05.000 The people involved in this campaign are the most irritating human beings on planet Earth.

00:51:10.000 On the planet.

00:51:12.000 I know people have reservations about Donald Trump.

00:51:14.000 I know people think that he does crazy things.

00:51:16.000 And he does say some crazy things on social media.

00:51:18.000 Like, for example, over the weekend, randomly, he decided to attack Taylor Swift.

00:51:21.000 I don't know.

00:51:21.000 I don't know why he did that.

00:51:23.000 I don't see any reason for that.

00:51:24.000 He literally put it out on on Truth Social in all caps.

00:51:27.000 I hate Taylor Swift.

00:51:28.000 I don't understand.

00:51:28.000 I mean, I also hate her music and think that she's kind of awful, but I'm not running for president.

00:51:34.000 And it seems to me that you should focus on the things.

00:51:35.000 But in terms of the irritating people in this campaign, let me just point out to you that the presidential candidate on the Democratic side of the aisle is Kamala Harris and you know the meaning of the importance and when you think about the context and Doug Emhoff who honest to God of all the people in this campaign Doug Emhoff drives me the most crazy as a Jew who takes his religion pretty seriously Doug Emhoff makes me want to vomit non-stop non-stop you know he actually said over the weekend again that only by marrying Kamala Harris did he feel more safe in his Judaism

00:52:10.000 You're in Los Angeles, my dude, in like the entertainment industry.

00:52:15.000 Can I just point out secular Jews in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles?

00:52:19.000 They're not that uncommon.

00:52:21.000 Doug Emhoff.

00:52:22.000 What a joke he is.

00:52:24.000 What an absolute...

00:52:26.000 Honest to goodness, everything Doug Emhoff pretends to be for the media is the opposite of what he is.

00:52:31.000 Guys, he's an amazing husband who nails the nanny and then maybe pays for her abortion. 0.97

00:52:35.000 He's also an amazing father who raises a pro-Hamasnic daughter.

00:52:38.000 But he's amazing at this.

00:52:40.000 Also, he's just a submissive kind of beta who is like a partner to law- whatever. 0.89

00:52:44.000 He's awful. 0.97

00:52:45.000 And then you have Tim Walz, a complete hysterical nutjob who ran his state into the ground. 0.99

00:52:50.000 And his wife, turn the page! 1.00

00:52:53.000 Turn the- This is who you want?

00:52:55.000 America, is this who you want?

00:52:57.000 For four years?

00:52:58.000 Or maybe eight?

00:52:59.000 You want this?

00:53:01.000 Are you serious right now?

00:53:02.000 This is the thing that you are seeking out?

00:53:04.000 That's putting aside their policy.

00:53:06.000 Just as humans, they're so irritating.

00:53:09.000 If you're taken in by this, if you look at that and you're like, man, I feel vibes.

00:53:13.000 I don't know what to tell you, man.

00:53:16.000 Something going on with you.

00:53:19.000 Okay, meanwhile, good thing the Trump campaign is laser-like focused on the issues.

00:53:25.000 So we have now entered week two of Catgate.

00:53:28.000 This is the argument of whether Haitian immigrants are eating cats in Springfield, Ohio.

00:53:32.000 Now, as I mentioned last week, there are very serious issues regarding Springfield, Ohio.

00:53:37.000 Issues about the impact of mass migration, about giving temporary protected status to tens of thousands of people without vetting them.

00:53:44.000 Those are real issues.

00:53:45.000 Creates massive social services burdens.

00:53:47.000 It creates problems of cultural integration.

00:53:50.000 It creates problems of crime.

00:53:51.000 It creates all sorts of issues.

00:53:53.000 When you take a town of 60,000 people and just add on 20,000 migrants from Haiti, Because you want to staff up the local factories as though you couldn't find anybody anywhere else in America to do any of that.

00:54:04.000 Now that's kind of a problem.

00:54:05.000 However, it seems to me a distraction to be talking about whether they're eating the dogs and eating the cats.

00:54:11.000 Now remember that started off as kind of a originally mentioned by JD Vance because some of his constituents had mentioned to him reports like that.

00:54:21.000 And then Donald Trump took that and ran with it during the debate and expanded it to not only eating the cats, but also the dogs and also apparently other household pets.

00:54:29.000 And that, of course, became the living meme from the actual debate.

00:54:32.000 There's a remix of the Trump eating the dogs, eating the cats song that absolutely slaps.

00:54:36.000 My kids love it.

00:54:37.000 I'm not even kidding.

00:54:37.000 That's a real thing.

00:54:39.000 However, it would be about time right now for the Trump campaign to focus in on, you know, the fact that Kamala Harris is an awful candidate who believes terrible things and won't make clear any of her positions. 1.00

00:54:49.000 It seems like it should be about that.

00:54:50.000 The media have one job and one job only, and that is to turn this campaign into a referendum on Catgate.

00:54:59.000 That is what this is all about. 0.99

00:55:01.000 It's foolish. 0.99

00:55:02.000 It makes no sense. 0.99

00:55:04.000 The media have decided that this is a major issue that they're going to push over and over and over.

00:55:08.000 They're doing it largely as a distraction.

00:55:10.000 So for example, JD Vance yesterday was with Dana Bash.

00:55:12.000 And Dana Bash for like 17 minutes asked him about the eating the cats and the dogs thing.

00:55:18.000 And Vance just wrecked her.

00:55:19.000 I mean, he really did.

00:55:20.000 There's one point during this interview where he calls her out for just sycophantically presenting answers to Kamala Harris during the only other interview that she's done during this entire campaign cycle.

00:55:31.000 Here he was.

00:55:32.000 Would you like to ask me questions and then let me answer them, or would you like to debate me on these topics?

00:55:39.000 I noticed that when you had Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, you gave them multiple choice answers to the questions that you asked, and you allowed them to answer the questions.

00:55:47.000 I'm happy to be here to talk about policy, but if you're going to interrupt me every single time that I open my mouth, then why am I even doing this?

00:55:56.000 So that happened to be a really, really good point, but she wasn't there to ask him questions and get answers.

00:56:01.000 She was there to browbeat him.

00:56:02.000 So the same day that somebody allegedly attempted to shoot Donald Trump again, Dana Bash spent 17 minutes implying that J.D.

00:56:08.000 Vance was responsible for bomb threats in Springfield, Ohio because of a cat gate.

00:56:12.000 Nobody is disputing that the town of Springfield, Ohio needs help.

00:56:19.000 But you're not just a bystander.

00:56:21.000 You're the senator from Ohio.

00:56:24.000 So instead of saying things that are wrong and actually causing the hospitals, the schools, the government buildings to be evacuated because of bomb threats because of the cats and dogs thing, why not actually be constructive in helping to better integrate them into the community Dana, first of all, let me just respond to a couple things that you said, but I want to start with something you said, which I think is frankly disgusting and is more appropriate for a democratic propagandist than it is for an American journalist.

00:56:53.000 There is nothing that I have said that has led to threats against these hospitals. 0.62

00:56:58.000 These hospitals, the bomb threats and so forth, It's disgusting.

00:57:03.000 You just accused me of inciting violence against the community when all that I've done is surface the complaints of my constituents, people who are suffering because of Kamala Harris's policies. 0.60

00:57:15.000 Are we not allowed to talk about these problems because some psychopaths are threatening violence?

00:57:21.000 In the middle of this interview with Dana Bash, the media attempt to swivel away from Dana Bash having an awful interview with Kamala Harris and J.D.

00:57:27.000 Vance calling her on it to focus on this clip.

00:57:30.000 So, in this clip, J.D.

00:57:31.000 Vann says that his constituents have been complaining about the eating the cats thing, right?

00:57:37.000 And that he has surfaced that and he has elevated that complaint as sort of the tip of the spear in order to put focus on the problems in Springfield, Ohio.

00:57:45.000 The way that the media decided to interpret this is that J.D.

00:57:47.000 Vance made up out of whole cloth the claims about people eating cats in Springfield, Ohio.

00:57:52.000 That he made up a story in order to get attention.

00:57:54.000 That's not what he's saying.

00:57:56.000 They're lying about what J.D.

00:57:57.000 Vance said and it's pretty obvious from what he said that they're lying about what he said.

00:58:01.000 I'm talking to my constituents and I'm hearing terrible things about what's going on in Springfield and Kamala Harris's open border policies have caused these problems.

00:58:10.000 The American media totally ignored this stuff until Donald Trump and I started talking about cat memes.

00:58:16.000 If I have to... But it wasn't just a meme.

00:58:18.000 If we're going to create stories so that the American media actually pays attention to the suffering of the American people, then that's what I'm going to do, Dana, because you guys are completely letting Kamala Harris coast.

00:58:30.000 I say that we're creating a story, meaning we're creating the American media focusing on it.

00:58:35.000 I didn't create 20,000 illegal migrants coming into Springfield thanks to Kamala Harris's policies. 1.00

00:58:41.000 Okay, so he's not saying that he made up the cat story.

00:58:44.000 He's saying his constituents are telling him this thing.

00:58:46.000 He's elevating their complaints, and then he's quote-unquote creating a story in the same way that the media create a story, meaning creates a narrative around a true story or a story that has been reported by his constituents.

00:58:56.000 The media decide that they're going to run with this idea that he made up the cat story out of whole cloth, because what they want more than anything is to distract from the actual issues of the campaign.

00:59:04.000 Here is Josh Shapiro, the person who was not picked for Vice President of the United States by Kamala Harris because he happens to be a Jew, The governor of Ohio, the mayor of that town in Ohio, has said this is all made up.

00:59:20.000 These are all lies.

00:59:21.000 There's no truth to it.

00:59:23.000 And the United States senator from Ohio just came on your show and blamed his own constituents for his own lies. 0.99

00:59:33.000 This guy's so pathetic, but the thing is, it is dangerous. 0.98

00:59:38.000 There is a causal connection between the BS that J.D. 0.99

00:59:42.000 Vance and Donald Trump spew and the safety and security of the American people.

00:59:49.000 So, again, they're going to try and spin this into another Charlottesville hoax or into another bloodbath hoax.

00:59:55.000 This is what they're going to try to do.

00:59:57.000 It's nonsense.

00:59:57.000 Don't fall for the propaganda.

00:59:59.000 With that said, Trump and J.D.

01:00:01.000 Vance need to be focusing full-time, meticulously, on Kamala Harris' record, on her switches of positions, on the fact that she is a liar, on the fact that, as Vivek Ramaswamy said on the show last week, she's the face of the machine.

01:00:14.000 That is what they need to be focusing on.

01:00:16.000 And if they do that, they will win.

01:00:18.000 And they need to be focusing, obviously, on the hardcore ground game that Democrats are so good at.

01:00:23.000 That's going to be the election.

01:00:25.000 But the bottom line is this.

01:00:27.000 Today, I think we should all be once again thanking God that Donald Trump was not shot.

01:00:32.000 Today, once again, we should be recognizing that we are one bullet away from a vast cliff that no one knows what's going to happen if we fall off of it.

01:00:42.000 I felt this way July 13th.

01:00:44.000 Thank God Donald Trump avoided that bullet.

01:00:45.000 It was an act of God that he avoided that bullet July 13th.

01:00:48.000 Yesterday, he avoided another assassin.

01:00:52.000 This is a country that feels like it's on the precipice of something quite terrible.

01:00:56.000 And there are only a couple of things that can be done to prevent it.

01:00:59.000 One is, obviously, better Secret Service, but the other is people need to stop proclaiming that people on the other side of the political aisle are going to full-scale destroy the country and are Hitlerian figures.

01:01:10.000 They should not do that, because the more you say that, the more you are making it real.

01:01:15.000 And that is something that, unfortunately, the media seem to have no intention of ratcheting down.

01:01:19.000 Okay, in just one second, We'll get to all of the Donald Trump lore loomer of it.
