00:00:00.000 An American citizen is shot by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis in another disputed circumstance, and all hell breaks loose in Minneapolis.
00:00:07.000 We'll break all of it down.
00:00:09.000 Why this is being driven by Democrats, what Republicans should do about it, how federal law enforcement should deal with all of this.
00:00:15.000 It's a mess.

00:00:47.000 All hell has now broken loose in Minneapolis after another shooting involving federal officers and a person who is attempting to interfere with them in their pursuit of their legal duty.
00:00:58.000 That person's name was Alex Predi.
00:01:00.000 According to NBC News, a federal immigration agent shot and killed the 37-year-old Minneapolis man on Saturday.
00:01:07.000 This, of course, is the second shooting after the shooting of Renee Goode, who was the woman who attempted to obstruct federal law enforcement and then hit an agent with her car before being shot.
00:01:17.000 The man, again, identified by family as Alex Predty, was an intensive care nurse.
00:01:22.000 The circumstances around his final moments were caught on multiple angles on video.
00:01:27.000 We're going to go through all of the details and try to determine culpability, legal, and moral.
00:01:32.000 We're also going to go through why it is that the left continues to ramp up this chaos.
00:01:38.000 They are doing this on purpose.
00:01:39.000 There is no question this is a purposeful attempt to undermine federal law enforcement in their pursuit of duty.
00:01:45.000 And if that ends with ugly images on TV, that is the thing they want.
00:01:48.000 They want the ugly images on the TV.
00:01:50.000 They are desperate for the ugly images on the TV because they believe that that is going to undermine the Trump administration's immigration program and the Trump administration itself.
00:02:00.000 That is why they are doing this.
00:02:01.000 Let us be very clear.
00:02:03.000 There are more people being deported from red states than from blue states right now, but you're not seeing these ugly images happening in red states.
00:02:09.000 Why?
00:02:10.000 The answer is because red states are helping to facilitate the deportation of people who should not be here.
00:02:16.000 Red states are helping to ensure that criminal, illegal immigrants are not in the system.
00:02:21.000 And when they arrest somebody for a crime and that person is an illegal immigrant, they then tell federal law enforcement, federal authorities, ICE and Border Patrol, so the person can be deported.
00:02:30.000 Blue states, sanctuary cities, sanctuary states are not doing that.
00:02:34.000 That is what necessitates more boots on the ground from the federal government in these areas.
00:02:39.000 And then local and state politicians have been going out there and suggesting that this amounts to a Gestapo-like occupation.
00:02:46.000 They've been driving their own supporters out into the streets.
00:02:49.000 Some of those supporters are then obstructing federal law enforcement, committing federal crimes.
00:02:54.000 When that happens, the likelihood of terrible incidents goes way up.
00:02:58.000 That is the simple logic.
00:02:59.000 And that appears to be something that left-wing politicians want, that they are desperate for.
00:03:05.000 It appears to be something they think they can run on: that if they put ugly images on your TV of immigration agents in confrontations with Americans, and if some of those incidents end with death, then that means they will be able to undermine their political opposition.
00:03:20.000 And that is despicable.
00:03:21.000 It truly is.
00:03:22.000 Because again, we should all, Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, be in favor of criminal, illegal immigrants going home, not being in the United States.
00:03:32.000 This is not a controversial issue.
00:03:34.000 That right there is not a controversial issue.
00:03:36.000 The necessity for larger federal presence, for harder implementation measures, is only being made necessary because there are Democratic politicians, members of the legacy media, who have decided to ramp all of this up and to facilitate the chaos.
00:03:51.000 This is indeed planned.
00:03:53.000 That is a reality.
00:03:55.000 So that ends with bad situations.
00:03:57.000 And we've been saying this for months, that if you have the governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, coming out and saying that ICE agents are like the Gestapo or like the KKK, that if you have Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry saying the same, if you have all Democratic politicians suggesting that protesting ICE agents is not only a decent thing to do, but a positive and good thing to do, and then treating obstruction of federal law enforcement officers as a form of legitimate protest,
00:04:24.000 which is the gray line they always seem to blur.
00:04:28.000 If you do that, you will end up with more confrontations, more violence, and more possible deaths under disputed circumstances.
00:04:35.000 It's more on this in a moment.

00:06:49.000 So again, we're going to go through the tape in just a moment.
00:06:51.000 What happened is that on Saturday morning, Alex Predi appeared to come to the aid of a person who'd been pushed to the ground by immigration agents.
00:06:59.000 So there are a couple of people who are out there filming the immigration agents while they were attempting to effectuate some sort of arrest, apparently obstructing traffic.
00:07:09.000 Immigration agents come over.
00:07:11.000 There are two people there.
00:07:12.000 One is Predi, the other is a woman.
00:07:13.000 The woman seems to be pushed to the ground.
00:07:16.000 Predi then appears to move toward her.
00:07:18.000 An officer sprays Predi in the face before dragging him to the ground.
00:07:21.000 And then there are multiple officers who are surrounding Predi.
00:07:25.000 At some point, it appears that the agents believe that Predi has a gun or is going for a gun or both.
00:07:31.000 And they open fire on him and he is shot 10 times and he dies.
00:07:36.000 That is the cleanest way of describing the circumstance.
00:07:39.000 And as we'll see, it then turned into our usual political Rorschach test in which the left proclaimed that it was a case of pure murder.
00:07:47.000 And some members of the federal government, in my opinion, were not honest about what happened on the ground and told a story that does not seem to match up with the tape.
00:07:57.000 Now, again, there will be full investigations of all.
00:07:59.000 There should be full investigations.
00:08:01.000 And anybody who's claiming there should not be, of course, there should be.
00:08:03.000 There should always be full investigations, not because I believe the officers are guilty of murder or manslaughter.
00:08:10.000 There should be a full investigation because I believe that it will exonerate the officers.
00:08:14.000 And even if it didn't exonerate the officers, you need the full investigation in order to ensure that there's continued trust in law enforcement.
00:08:21.000 Those full investigations should go forward.
00:08:24.000 They should be perfectly objective.
00:08:26.000 They should not be railroadings, as we've seen in the past with, say, Derek Chauvin and George Floyd.
00:08:30.000 They should not be adjudicated in the media.
00:08:33.000 That's why the best response from everybody, from the federal government to Walls to Fry, it should always be the same.
00:08:39.000 There will be a full, thorough investigation.
00:08:42.000 And at the end of the day, the law enforcement apparatus will take stock of what has happened and all the facts will be made available to you.
00:08:48.000 That is what should the response should always be that on all sides because that is the only way that we end up with the impartial administration of the law.
00:08:55.000 That is the only way that happens.
00:08:56.000 Unfortunately, that never happened.
00:08:58.000 So we are now left with the tape.
00:09:00.000 So we're going to go through the tape and then I want to get into why it is again.
00:09:04.000 The biggest issue is why this stuff keeps happening in the first place.
00:09:07.000 And no, it is not just a matter of individual incidents that are randomly cropping up.
00:09:12.000 This is not random.
00:09:13.000 It is happening in a specific city at a specific time in a specific place for a reason.
00:09:17.000 It is being driven deliberately.
00:09:19.000 Again, I can't emphasize this enough.
00:09:20.000 It is being deliberately driven by members of the Democratic higher echelons.
00:09:25.000 It is being specifically driven by the legacy media.
00:09:28.000 You are not seeing it.
00:09:29.000 I will say it again.
00:09:30.000 You are not seeing this in red areas.
00:09:33.000 And more deportations are being carried out in those areas than in the blue areas.
00:09:37.000 That is just a statistical fact.
00:09:39.000 More deportations are taking place in Texas and Florida than are taking place in Minneapolis.
00:09:45.000 But all the tape you're seeing is from Minneapolis.
00:09:47.000 And there's a reason for that because when you spur people to confrontation, especially confrontation with federal law enforcement, bad things happen.
00:09:54.000 Okay, so here is the first angle.
00:09:57.000 We have several angles here.
00:09:59.000 Here is angle number one of the incident involving Alex Predty.
00:10:03.000 Okay, so you can see now that this is the end of the incident.
00:10:06.000 Predty is being wrestled to the ground.
00:10:08.000 Okay, stop it right there for a second.
00:10:08.000 He's resisting.
00:10:10.000 First of all, don't resist federal law enforcement.
00:10:13.000 That is a crime.
00:10:14.000 Do not do it.
00:10:15.000 Do not obstruct federal law enforcement and do not resist arrest.
00:10:18.000 Don't do that thing.
00:10:19.000 So they're wrestling Alex Predty to the ground.
00:10:21.000 Again, this is the tail end.
00:10:24.000 It's sort of a third person, faraway shot across a couple of cars.
00:10:28.000 And as you can see, he appears to be on the ground.
00:10:30.000 The angle isn't particularly good.
00:10:31.000 You just see a bunch of people on top of him.
00:10:34.000 Okay, they're on top of him.
00:10:35.000 They're wrestling him to the ground, trying to subdue him.
00:10:36.000 It looks like five federal agents on top of him and one walking in the background and a couple more nearby.
00:10:40.000 One appears to be punching him.
00:10:44.000 And then shots are fired and he's dead.
00:10:48.000 And multiple shots afterward.
00:10:54.000 Somebody seems to be filming this from inside a nearby building, maybe a cafe or something.
00:10:59.000 Okay, so that is angle number one.
00:11:01.000 Again, very difficult to see what Predty is doing on the ground.
00:11:05.000 And sure, there can be circumstances in which somebody on the ground surrounded by officers is still a threat to the officers.
00:11:10.000 Remember, the legal standard here is that a reasonable officer must believe that there's an imminent threat of grave bodily harm.
00:11:18.000 That is the legal standard here.
00:11:20.000 Now, could that happen with a person who is being piled on by multiple?
00:11:24.000 Sure.
00:11:24.000 Let's say, for example, the person has a gun and the person goes for the gun.
00:11:28.000 Or let's say that the officer believes the person has a gun for some good reason, like the person has a gun.
00:11:33.000 And then the person doesn't have the gun, which may in fact be the case, but the officer still believes he has the gun.
00:11:40.000 And so an accident happens where the officer believes a thing that isn't true, but in the moment, it's absolutely credible that the thing could be true.
00:11:47.000 You see this sort of circumstance where somebody goes for their waistband, and earlier they've been identified as having a gun, and in their waistband isn't the gun, it's something else, and they get shot.
00:11:56.000 Officers have to make these decisions in the moment.
00:11:58.000 That is the reality of the law enforcement job: you have to make that decision right there in the moment.
00:12:05.000 Okay, so that's angle number one.
00:12:06.000 Angle number two: this angle is a lot closer up.
00:12:11.000 This is if the first angle was sort of from far away.
00:12:16.000 Here, you can see the woman gets pushed to the ground, and Predi puts up his hand.
00:12:20.000 He's holding himself in one hand.
00:12:21.000 They spray him with some pepper spray.
00:12:24.000 Okay, and then they wrestle him to the ground.
00:12:26.000 He seems to be trying to still get this woman up.
00:12:30.000 Multiple officers wrestle him to the ground, they're on top of him.
00:12:35.000 Okay, and then he's now surrounded.
00:12:37.000 You can see the officers still surrounding him.
00:12:38.000 Somebody's blowing a whistle.
00:12:39.000 Obviously, there are multiple protesters nearby.
00:12:41.000 There's another woman who's attempting to resist arrest, it appears.
00:12:44.000 And then you hear one shot and then multiple shots.
00:12:48.000 A lot of shots, right?
00:12:49.000 And then Alex Predty dead on the ground.
00:12:55.000 Okay, so again, when this stuff happens in the moment, very difficult to tell what's happening in the scrum.
00:13:01.000 Okay, here's angle number three.
00:13:03.000 And this is the one where it looks as though Alex Predi was disarmed before the shot.
00:13:08.000 Okay, so you can see this one is, you know, kind of closer on his face.
00:13:12.000 Okay, they bring him to the ground.
00:13:15.000 So they get him down to the ground, wrestling him to the ground.
00:13:19.000 Multiple whistles going off, obviously.
00:13:21.000 Big crowd around him.
00:13:22.000 Now, you can see his waist in this particular angle, Alex Predi.
00:13:28.000 And you can see one officer reaching in, reaching in, and walking away with what looks like the gun, and then multiple shots going off.
00:13:37.000 Again, very difficult to tell just from looking at these tapes what exactly is going on.
00:13:42.000 Here is the slow motion tracking the man's gun.
00:13:44.000 Okay, so as you can see, here is one officer.
00:13:46.000 He reaches for Predi.
00:13:49.000 He reaches to Predi's waist.
00:13:51.000 He does not have anything in his hand.
00:13:53.000 You can see it's frozen.
00:13:53.000 Right?
00:13:54.000 He doesn't have anything to say.
00:13:55.000 He reaches in.
00:13:58.000 He walks away.
00:13:59.000 He's going to stand up in a second, this officer.
00:14:02.000 And there's going to be a gun in his hand.
00:14:05.000 And you can see he's sort of wrestling with Predi.
00:14:07.000 He's on his back there.
00:14:09.000 In a moment, it's going to freeze.
00:14:10.000 You can see the gun is now in his hand.
00:14:13.000 That's what it appears to be in this tape.
00:14:14.000 And then he walks away, and he clearly has a gun in his hand.
00:14:18.000 Okay, and then as he is running away, you can see there's the gun in his hand.
00:14:23.000 So at this point, Alex Predty does not have a gun on him.
00:14:26.000 One of the agents withdraws a gun.
00:14:28.000 You can see the agent withdraw the gun from his waistband there and then start shooting.
00:14:31.000 Now, it is quite possible the New York Post is reporting that the gun that was taken away from Predi misfired.
00:14:38.000 It's a SIG.
00:14:39.000 That SIG apparently has a record sometimes of misfiring and going off accidentally.
00:14:44.000 And it's possible that the gun went off accidentally.
00:14:46.000 And that's what triggered the officers to start shooting.
00:14:48.000 They hear a shot.
00:14:49.000 They know that he had a gun on him.
00:14:51.000 They don't know that the gun has been removed because it's difficult to see.
00:14:54.000 And so they shoot him to death.
00:14:57.000 Okay, in the immediate aftermath, ICE agents were trying to get emergency medical services.
00:15:02.000 Obviously, people were yelling at them and screaming at them, which is sort of the usual in situations like this, unfortunately.
00:15:07.000 You can see EMS is there.
00:15:11.000 People screaming at them.
00:15:13.000 And these are the circumstances, obviously, under which ICE and Border Patrol are having to work.
00:15:18.000 Now, it is important to recognize here that Border Patrol is important to recognize here.
00:15:24.000 The Border Patrol, it was a Border Patrol agent apparently who shot him.
00:15:27.000 These are Border Patrol officers.
00:15:29.000 The reason Border Patrol is even in Minneapolis is because of the resistance to ICE.
00:15:33.000 Normally, internal immigration enforcement is not done by Border Patrol.
00:15:37.000 It is done by ICE.
00:15:39.000 When there is significant resistance on the ground, that's when ICE might call in extra help from Border Patrol.
00:15:45.000 Then the scene of the shooting was blocked off by the protesters.
00:15:48.000 And you can see they basically decide they're going to block off the area, set up their own autonomous zone, essentially.
00:15:59.000 Hey, this sort of activity is likely to result in more violence.
00:16:04.000 This is likely to result in more violence.
00:16:06.000 Valorizing people who get in the way of law enforcement while they're attempting to do their job is likely to result in more violence.
00:16:13.000 Stop blocking ICE from doing its job.
00:16:15.000 Stop resisting arrest.
00:16:17.000 If you do resist arrest while you have a gun on you, there's a much higher likelihood that the police are going to perceive you as a threat of physical violence.
00:16:25.000 And that's not a question of a normal protester carrying a gun, as we'll get to in a bit.
00:16:29.000 That is a question of don't resist arrest while obstructing a federal law enforcement operation while carrying a gun.
00:16:36.000 Put all those things together, and that is going to make your risk significantly higher than it otherwise would be.
00:16:41.000 Get to more on this in just one second first.
00:16:43.000 You know, for me, sleep is really, really important because if my brain is not working properly, and that's what happens when I don't sleep, well, the show just isn't as good.

00:17:54.000 Well, the protesters then gathered to talk about how they want to shut ICE down, which of course is their goal.
00:18:01.000 ICE, shut it down!
00:18:03.000 Every city, every town!
00:18:05.000 I shut it down!
00:18:06.000 Every city, every town!
00:18:08.000 I shut it down!
00:18:10.000 Every city, every town!
00:18:12.000 Okay, there's open coordination, by the way, happening via signal in Minneapolis between all of these protesters.
00:18:17.000 When we say protesters, very often we mean people who are legitimately stopping law enforcement from doing their jobs.
00:18:24.000 According to Cam Higbee reporting on all of this, there are 754 members in one of these chats.
00:18:30.000 The capacity is about 1,000 each day at midday.
00:18:32.000 New people cycle in for their shift.
00:18:34.000 There are a bunch of different chats for different zones of Minnesota.
00:18:37.000 They coordinate on where to go, how to obstruct operations.
00:18:41.000 They have what they call patrol zones in order to ensure that there are people there every time ICE shows up to effectuate some sort of arrest.
00:18:51.000 Protesters are coordinating on their own dispatch calls, by the way.
00:18:56.000 That is a thing they're doing.
00:18:59.000 They go online and they tell people when they discover a vehicle.
00:19:02.000 And then they have documentation going on.
00:19:05.000 The documentation is not obviously for some sort of prosecution.
00:19:08.000 The documentation is happening very often in real time in order to get protesters to the place where ICE is doing the thing, in order to get, in many cases, lawbreakers obstructing law enforcement.
00:19:20.000 Again, Cam Higby doing some excellent reporting over there.
00:19:23.000 Some of the people who've been participating in this include, for example, Minnesota State Representative Alex Falconer, who is coordinating Signal groups.
00:19:32.000 Here is this state legislator involved in coordinating this.
00:19:36.000 We've got a couple groups on the app signal that we would love for you to join.
00:19:43.000 Whether or not you want to be a part of the resistance network, I fully understand you may not be comfortable with that, but you can help us in a lot of ways by sending an alert that if you see any suspicious vehicles, any traffic, if you know of anybody that is being targeted, that's being detained, we have resources immediately available that we can send to you, send to their family, get them legal help, help the families if they need food, if people are afraid to leave their homes to get food.
00:20:10.000 We're working with the food shelves to try to figure out a way to deliver groceries.
00:20:14.000 I know yesterday, apartment complexes needed their parking lots plowed and people were being taken as they were moving their cars.
00:20:22.000 We can move your car for you.
00:20:23.000 Just please, anything, small, large, we are here for you.
00:20:28.000 And we will stand with you.
00:20:29.000 We'll stand for you.
00:20:32.000 These are these state legislators who are going out of their way now to facilitate all of this.
00:20:36.000 And they're not just facilitating protests.
00:20:37.000 Let's be clear.
00:20:38.000 If you know that these protesters are getting involved in the obstruction of federal law enforcement efforts, if you know that's happening, then encouraging that is not a good thing to do.
00:20:47.000 And we know that there's been violence, obviously, against a wide variety of ICE officers.
00:20:51.000 We've talked about the shooting of ICE officers or the attempted ramming of ICE officers.
00:20:56.000 We've talked about the fact that actually on Saturday afternoon, there's a picture released by DHS showing the bloody stump of a finger of one of the ICE officers.
00:21:08.000 Apparently, protesters are now biting the fingers off of federal officers in some cases.
00:21:12.000 Trisha McLaughlin said that this person is going to lose his finger.
00:21:16.000 A chunk of his finger was then shown in a jar by DHS.
00:21:21.000 Meanwhile, in the immediate aftermath of all of this happening in Minneapolis, according to the New York Post, anti-ICE protesters violently swarmed a Minneapolis hotel where they believed federal officers were staying, hurling items at people inside, smashing its windows, and graffitiing F-ICE across the building's facade on Sunday.
00:21:37.000 The large mob descended on the home two suites by Hilton Hotel late on Sunday as tensions gripped the Twin Cities one day after the killing of Alex Predty.
00:21:44.000 Apparently, they shoved and hurled the object at a Minneapolis police department officer and others just inside the hotel's lobby and attempted to push their way in, forcing those inside to use two large vending machines to physically block the rowdy demonstrators.
00:21:57.000 The protesters also banged on trash cans, slammed snow shovels, blew whistles, stomped, yelled, shown strobe lights on the hotel's facade in an attempt to disturb the federal officers who they believed were sleeping inside.
00:22:09.000 This sort of activity is being facilitated by politicians of the left.
00:22:13.000 It is that clear.
00:22:15.000 And that is the reason this is happening in Minneapolis and nowhere else.
00:22:17.000 Why is this not happening?
00:22:19.000 Again, in New Orleans, why is this not happening in Dallas, Texas?
00:22:24.000 Why isn't this happening in red areas?
00:22:26.000 The answer is very obvious.
00:22:28.000 Tim Walz, who's been absolutely abhorrent throughout this entire debacle, a terrible governor, a disgrace to the country.
00:22:34.000 This person was nominated for vice president of the United States by the Democratic Party.
00:22:39.000 Walls put out a series of tweets: quote, I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning.
00:22:44.000 Minnesota has had it.
00:22:46.000 This is sickening.
00:22:47.000 The president must end this operation, pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota now.
00:22:52.000 So I guess the basic idea here is that you won't help by actively facilitating the deportation of criminal, illegal immigrants.
00:23:00.000 And thus, you're going to facilitate the obstruction of law enforcement.
00:23:04.000 And then when things go bad, you're going to tell federal law enforcement to pull out.
00:23:07.000 So it's state and local nullification is what we are talking about right now.
00:23:11.000 And then he says, they think they can provoke us into abandoning our values.
00:23:14.000 They are wrong.
00:23:15.000 We will keep the peace.
00:23:16.000 We'll secure justice for our neighbors and we will see this occupation end.
00:23:19.000 Have you been doing keeping the peace?
00:23:21.000 How's that going for you, Tim Walz?
00:23:23.000 It seems like not so peaceful over there.
00:23:25.000 It seems like every time you say the protesters are doing something wonderful in the aftermath of somebody being shot or in the aftermath of violent demonstrations, it gets worse.
00:23:35.000 I don't think Tim Walz is interested in keeping things peaceful in Minnesota.
00:23:39.000 I don't.
00:23:40.000 I see very little evidence that he is.
00:23:41.000 He can say it over and over, but I see very little evidence that this is his goal.
00:23:46.000 He says, Minnesota believes in law and order.
00:23:48.000 We believe in peace.
00:23:48.000 And we believe that Trump needs to pull his 3,000 untrained agents out of Minnesota before they kill another American in the street.
00:23:54.000 Not sure what he means by untrained.
00:23:56.000 These agents go through training.
00:23:58.000 But again, the goal is to proclaim this a gestapo-like occupation.
00:24:03.000 And again, Walls is building an entire permission structure for violence against officers.
00:24:07.000 That's what he's doing.
00:24:08.000 Here he was over the weekend saying we should not call these people law enforcement.
00:24:13.000 Do I have any confidence Donald Trump will do the right thing?
00:24:15.000 No, I don't have a lot of confidence Donald Trump will do the right thing.
00:24:18.000 I do have a lot of confidence that the majority of the American people will do the right thing.
00:24:23.000 And I think there cannot be very many people across this country looking right now after all the reporting that's been done, after everything that's been said under the pretense that they are here about immigration reform and quit referring to these people as law enforcement.
00:24:37.000 They are not law enforcement.
00:24:38.000 We have law enforcement who do an incredible job.
00:24:42.000 And to listen to Greg Bavino denigrate the work of our people who are out there cleaning up their mess.
00:24:47.000 No, I don't have a lot of confidence that he himself will do it.
00:24:50.000 But here's what I do have confidence in.
00:24:52.000 There's a whole lot of Republicans for whatever reason cannot find their spine, but they might find the ability to know that they're not going to win another election as long as they live unless they stand up for what's right and stand up for the rule of law and stand up for human decency.
00:25:06.000 And that's the moment.
00:25:07.000 Okay, they're literally not standing up for the rule of law, Tim Walz and company.
00:25:11.000 He is literally saying, get your agents out of here while they enforce federal law.
00:25:14.000 And when he says things like they're not law enforcement, what do you think he is saying to protesters?
00:25:18.000 What do you think he's saying?
00:25:20.000 When he says they're not law enforcement, he's saying, okay, well, if they're not, then what are they?
00:25:24.000 Then I guess they're terrorists.
00:25:26.000 Then I guess that they are lawbreakers because they're wandering around committing crimes against other American citizens.
00:25:32.000 What is he saying?
00:25:33.000 He is granting a permission structure for all of this.
00:25:37.000 Then Walls went on to say that Minnesotans are actually just all they're doing is creating a log of evidence for prosecution of ICE agents.
00:25:43.000 What's the problem with them creating a log of evidence?
00:25:45.000 Is that really what you think they're doing?
00:25:46.000 Creating a log of evidence that that's really all they're doing.
00:25:49.000 They're not obstructing law enforcement.
00:25:50.000 Minnesotans are witnessing, and we're creating a log of evidence for the future prosecution of ICE agents and officials responsible for this.
00:26:00.000 They're helping their neighbors.
00:26:01.000 They're walking their kids to school.
00:26:03.000 They're feeding families.
00:26:05.000 Okay, I'm confused.
00:26:06.000 They're not doing, Alex Predty was not walking kids to school or feeding families.
00:26:12.000 He was in the street.
00:26:13.000 He was blocking traffic, apparently.
00:26:16.000 You can see in the tape, he's out there.
00:26:17.000 He's getting in the way of federal law enforcement.
00:26:20.000 I mean, he was resisting arrest.
00:26:21.000 Like, those are things that are happening.
00:26:23.000 This is why I say that very often these things become a Rorschach test.
00:26:26.000 And the sides are seeing completely different stories.
00:26:29.000 And none of them seem to be related to the actual tape that we saw in which life is messy and life is complicated.
00:26:35.000 But it appears that Alex Predi was obstructing federal law enforcement in performance of an operation and then resisting arrest and had a gun on him.
00:26:43.000 And then it appears from the tape that he was disarmed and someone mistakenly thought he was still armed and they heard a shot go off or something like that.
00:26:50.000 And then they shot him.
00:26:51.000 That appears to be the most objective way of describing the situation.
00:26:54.000 But according to Tim Walz, it's just a pure unprecedented premeditated murder.
00:26:59.000 Walls went on, by the way, to compare illegal immigrant children in Minnesota to Anne Frank.
00:27:05.000 No, I'm sorry.
00:27:08.000 No, wrong.
00:27:10.000 Ann Frank was not attempting to immigrate to the country from which she was deported.
00:27:14.000 Anne Frank was a citizen of the country in which she lived, and then she was sent to Auschwitz, where she died of typhus.
00:27:21.000 That is not the same thing.
00:27:24.000 And guess what?
00:27:25.000 American law enforcement agents, ICE officers, Border Patrol agents, are not Nazis.
00:27:30.000 They are not the Gestapo.
00:27:32.000 This is a purposefully driven chaos operation pushed by Democrats for political purposes.
00:27:38.000 We have got children in Minnesota hiding in their houses, afraid to go outside.
00:27:45.000 Many of us grew up reading that story of Ann Franklin.
00:27:49.000 Somebody's going to write that children's story about Minnesota.
00:27:53.000 And there's one person who can end this now.
00:27:58.000 Either he's stupid or he's venal or both.
00:28:00.000 Probably both.
00:28:01.000 And again, he's been setting the groundwork for this for weeks and months.
00:28:06.000 On January 7th, Wall said, it is your patriotic duty to resist.
00:28:10.000 Here he was.
00:28:12.000 I want Minnesotans to hear this from me.
00:28:15.000 The desire to get out and protest and to speak up to this administration of how wrong this is, that is a patriotic duty at this point in time.
00:28:24.000 It is a patriotic duty.
00:28:26.000 Last week, he suggested it was time to, quote unquote, cause good trouble.
00:28:30.000 And that, well, then trouble is going to ensue.
00:28:32.000 I mean, that is a thing that is likely going to happen.
00:28:35.000 These are the moments for people to stand up.
00:28:38.000 These are the moments that are not the easy ones, but these are the moments where character comes out.
00:28:44.000 I am receiving notes from around the world.
00:28:51.000 People identifying, and there's a lot of people saying, okay, I was sleeping on Minnesota.
00:28:56.000 And I think what you've done and what our neighbors are going through to see this, and I oftentimes told this story, I served on the China Commission in Congress, ironically enough, as co-chair with Marco Rubio.
00:29:07.000 We used to bring in one of these political prisoners.
00:29:10.000 And we would ask them, when we speak up and call out your government, is it bad?
00:29:15.000 And they said, well, in the short run, it's bad because they torture us.
00:29:20.000 But if you don't speak up, they will torture us and forget about us.
00:29:24.000 And the idea is right now is we have to be speaking up.
00:29:28.000 We have to go and do it.
00:29:31.000 He's saying, you are doing everything and our neighbors are doing everything.
00:29:35.000 And I can't stress enough on this.
00:29:36.000 We're winning it because we're doing it with Minnesota grid.
00:29:40.000 Minnesota gives Minnesota decency.
00:29:43.000 Oftentimes talk about this, and I know people are discussing this a lot.
00:29:46.000 I spent a lot of time with John Lewis on nonviolent resistance.
00:29:50.000 The resistance matters.
00:29:52.000 We're not telling people to be silent, but we're not telling people to go out and cause problems.
00:29:57.000 We're going to cause good trouble.
00:30:00.000 Okay, so when he talks about nonviolent resistance, what does it mean when people violently resist arrests, for example?
00:30:06.000 Is that nonviolent resistance?
00:30:08.000 Because that's what we've been seeing.
00:30:09.000 Is it nonviolent resistance when you block traffic like Renee Good did and then hit an officer with your car?
00:30:14.000 Is that nonviolent resistance?
00:30:17.000 What does he mean by this?
00:30:18.000 And again, the lines are pretty blurry here and they're being deliberately blurred.
00:30:22.000 Meanwhile, Jacob Fry, who is the awful mayor of Minneapolis, he put out a statement, quote, after today's shooting, Minneapolis is filing a declaration to push for an immediate ruling on our temporary restraining order.
00:30:32.000 We need swift action to protect our city.
00:30:34.000 I have formally requested National Guard assistance to support our 600 Minneapolis police officers.
00:30:38.000 I've been clear for weeks.
00:30:39.000 This situation is unsustainable.
00:30:41.000 Our community is tired.
00:30:42.000 Our officers are tired.
00:30:43.000 Our businesses are tired.
00:30:45.000 Our top priority is safety, and this will help.
00:30:47.000 So I'm confused.
00:30:48.000 Is he trying to call in the National Guard to stop ICE from doing its job or to stop people from rioting?
00:30:53.000 Because that makes an awful big difference.
00:30:53.000 Which is it?
00:30:55.000 If it is the former that he's trying to stop ICE from doing its job by calling in the National Guard, then you have like an actual insurrection on your hands.
00:31:01.000 You can't have state law enforcement opposed to federal law enforcement.
00:31:06.000 That does not have a good history in this country or any other, so far as I'm aware.
00:31:12.000 Meanwhile, Fry said he did a presser, an overaw presser in which he said, how many more Americans need to die?
00:31:17.000 You know what would stop Americans from dying?
00:31:19.000 Tell people to go home while ICE does its job.
00:31:21.000 That would get people to stop dying.
00:31:23.000 It would.
00:31:23.000 Tell people to not obstruct ICE officers.
00:31:26.000 I just saw a video of more than six masked agents pummeling one of our constituents and shooting him to death.
00:31:40.000 How many more residents, how many more Americans need to die or get badly hurt for this operation to end?
00:31:49.000 How many more lives need to be lost before this administration realizes that a political and partisan narrative is not as important as American values?
00:32:04.000 How many times must local and national leaders must plead with you, Donald Trump, to end this operation and recognize that this is not creating safety in our city?
00:32:17.000 Well, what's not creating safety is, again, people obstructing federal law enforcement.
00:32:21.000 You know, create safety, deporting criminal, illegal immigrants.
00:32:24.000 That creates safety, unless you decide you're going to get in the way of law enforcement, in which case, safety does not ensue.
00:32:29.000 This is a chaos operation.
00:32:31.000 It's a chaos operation, and it's being promoted by everybody up to and including Barack Obama, the former president of the United States, who thus far I've seen no comments on his Twitter feed with regard to the murder apparently of tens of thousands of people in Iran, but he definitely has some statements about our border patrol and ICE agents.
00:32:47.000 Quote, the killing of Alex Predi is a heartbreaking tragedy.
00:32:50.000 It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.
00:32:56.000 For weeks now, people across the country have been rightly outraged by the spectacle of masked ICE recruits and other federal agents acting with impunity and engaging in tactics that seem designed to intimidate, harass, provoke, and endanger the residents of a major American city.
00:33:09.000 These unprecedented tactics have now resulted in the fatal shooting of two U.S. citizens.
00:33:12.000 Again, that is not true.
00:33:14.000 That is a lie.
00:33:14.000 The idea that ICE pursuing its law enforcement duties is the thing that has resulted in the fatal shootings of two U.S. citizens is wrong.
00:33:24.000 People walking down the streets, not bothering ICE or not getting shot.
00:33:27.000 People obstructing ICE operations and then getting into disputed altercations with ICE officers, sometimes well armed.
00:33:35.000 That is the thing that is going to end with bad things happening.
00:33:38.000 Clearly.
00:33:40.000 Obviously, the local officials have had their perspective on this as well, and they are mirroring the Democratic line.
00:33:47.000 The Minneapolis police chief was out there.
00:33:49.000 His name is Brian O'Hara, denouncing the ICE operations and what happened with Alex Predty.
00:33:54.000 Well, I've seen the videos just as thousands of people around the country have, and the videos speak for themselves.
00:34:00.000 I think it's deeply concerning the things that are being said.
00:34:05.000 This is an individual that was a city resident.
00:34:09.000 It appears that he was present exercising his First Amendment rights to record law enforcement activity and also exercising his Second Amendment rights to lawfully be armed in a public space in the city.
00:34:23.000 So I think very obviously there are serious questions that are being raised.
00:34:28.000 And I think the greater issue is even if there is an investigation that ultimately proves that at the time of the shooting, it was legally justified, I don't think that even matters at this point because there's just, there is so much outrage and concern around what is happening in the city.
00:34:46.000 Okay, that last statement is insane.
00:34:47.000 That last statement is totally insane.
00:34:48.000 And if there's a full investigation and it finds that the shooting was justified, that doesn't matter.
00:34:52.000 That's the only thing that should matter.
00:34:54.000 Shouldn't it not?
00:34:55.000 I mean, like as a country where law is supposed to prevail, the impartial administration of justice is supposed to prevail, shouldn't the guilt or innocence of the officers at issue be the key issue?
00:35:06.000 But this is always the case with people who are promoting the left-wing narrative.
00:35:10.000 The narrative matters more than the fact.
00:35:12.000 It doesn't matter what actually happened.
00:35:13.000 It only matters what you think happened and what people feel about what happened.
00:35:17.000 Really, truly ugly stuff, particularly from a member of law enforcement, Senator Amy Klavichar of Minnesota.
00:35:23.000 She's also trying to stump on the space as she, of course, wants to run for governor of Minnesota in the wake of Tim Walz announcing he will not run for a third term.
00:35:29.000 So here she was saying, silence is complicity.
00:35:32.000 I am strongly opposed to more funding for ICE.
00:35:35.000 I was strongly opposed when they tripled their budget this summer.
00:35:39.000 $75 billion more of that money could go to local law enforcement.
00:35:44.000 And instead, they loosened all the training requirements down from months to 47 days.
00:35:50.000 They are violating the Fourth Amendment that they are ramming in people's doors without a judicial warrant.
00:35:58.000 They are refusing to have mandatory body cameras.
00:36:02.000 They have clearly a leadership that should be removed.
00:36:07.000 You can just go down the list of all the problems with this right now.
00:36:11.000 And I really do appreciate that Senator Cassidy was brave enough to stand up and say something about it when no one else will.
00:36:19.000 And in this point, silence is complicity.
00:36:22.000 Silence is complicit in what?
00:36:24.000 What kind of silence are we talking about?
00:36:26.000 What if we agree this is a tragic situation and that there should be a full investigation, but also believe that Democrats are operating under the guise of a chaos-driven mentality.
00:36:38.000 Gavin Newsom, who wants to run for president, is now suggesting that this is a police state.
00:36:43.000 He put this up in his press office, a press office he has denounced before when I interviewed him or is on his shows.
00:36:50.000 Technically, he was interviewing me.
00:36:52.000 He put out a statement via his press office.
00:36:54.000 You're seeing what's happening on American streets.
00:36:55.000 This is a police state.
00:36:57.000 Speak up, show up, use your rights peacefully.
00:36:59.000 Again, promoting this sort of stuff.
00:37:01.000 It is not a police state.
00:37:03.000 People are not being simply randomly arrested on the streets for doing nothing.
00:37:07.000 That is not what's happening.
00:37:09.000 Mikey Sherrill, the new governor of New Jersey, suggested that ICE is a Stasi force.
00:37:14.000 That would be a reference to the secret police in East Germany.
00:37:18.000 This isn't about sanctuary, not sanctuary cities.
00:37:20.000 This goes far beyond that.
00:37:22.000 This is about a basically Stasi-type force of secret police that wear masks that are unidentifiable, that are unaccountable, that have leadership in the Trump administration, blatantly lying about what's going on when the American people can see the videos about exactly what's happening.
00:37:42.000 There is no police officer in the state of New Jersey that would A, act like that because we have training that far surpasses any type of misconduct like that, or B, should anything untoward happen, the other agents with that police officer would stop that immediately, and that person would be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, which is exactly what needs to happen with these ICE agents in Minneapolis.
00:38:10.000 Like they're the Stasi now.
00:38:12.000 So Democrats on the back of this are threatening another government shutdown.
00:38:16.000 According to the New York Times, bipartisan legislation to fund a broad swath of the government and avert a shutdown at the end of the week appeared to be in grave danger on Saturday as key Senate Democrats vowed to oppose it after federal agents shot and killed a Minneapolis resident.
00:38:29.000 The rapidly escalating opposition to the measure, which includes $64.4 billion for the Department of Homeland Security, including $10 billion for ICE, amplified the likelihood of a partial government shutdown at the end of the month.
00:38:40.000 The legislation requires the support of Democrats to muster the 60 votes needed to avoid the filibuster and advance in the Senate.
00:38:46.000 So Schumer wants the DHS funding bill to be cut out of the broader appropriations bill in an attempt to then have a debate over ICE and yell at the Trump administration over ICE operations.
00:38:57.000 So they're apparently willing to hold up the funding of the government again in order to go after DHS.
00:39:05.000 Not a surprise.
00:39:06.000 Senator Angus King, an independent who caucuses with the Democrats from Maine, he is calling for a government shutdown essentially.
00:39:14.000 Margaret, I hate shutdowns.
00:39:15.000 I'm one of the people that helped negotiate the solution to the last, the end of the last shutdown, but I can't vote for a bill that includes ICE funding under these circumstances, what they're doing in my state, what we saw yesterday in Minneapolis.
00:39:30.000 There's an easy way out, by the way.
00:39:33.000 Leader Thune could separate, which is what they did in the House, separate the five other appropriation bills, put them on the floor.
00:39:40.000 They would pass, I think, overwhelmingly.
00:39:43.000 Then let's take up DHS.
00:39:44.000 And by the way, if those bills pass, 96% of the federal government is funded.
00:39:49.000 Take up DHS by itself.
00:39:51.000 Let's have an honest negotiation, put some guardrails on what's going on, some accountability, and that would solve this problem.
00:39:57.000 We don't have to have a shutdown.
00:39:59.000 Okay, we don't have to have a shutdown, but he wants a shutdown.
00:40:02.000 So glad to see the Democrats are, again, pushing forward with this narrative.
00:40:07.000 One of the things that we are seeing from the left is an attempt to import the sort of left-wing, bizarre ideological kinship with terror groups abroad to what's happening in places like Minneapolis.
00:40:18.000 Apparently, resistance to law enforcement, to legitimate law enforcement, is now to be considered virtue.
00:40:23.000 And if you can create enough quote-unquote atrocity stories, then you can undermine the enforcement of the law.
00:40:28.000 That seems to be the model of people like the disreputable Hassan Piker, who literally put out a tweet claiming, quote, the siege on Minneapolis is where you really see the West Bank occupation tactics on U.S. soil, constant militarized ICE presence on the streets, illegal detentions, killing people, trying to defend their neighbors, labeling them terrorists.
00:40:46.000 Fascism is colonialism turned inward.
00:40:48.000 It's here.
00:40:48.000 Again, it is this ideology that has now been translated into the anti-ICE operations that are being performed by groups like this.
00:40:55.000 And you have morons like Thomas Friedman, who spends all day at the New York Times.
00:40:59.000 He just goes to various countries and listens to taxi drivers and then thinks he has some sort of insight on the world.
00:41:05.000 He wrote a column today in which he claimed that ICE officers and Hamas militiamen are the same.
00:41:11.000 Because, quote, if you place a photo of an ICE officer next to a Hamas militiaman in a news quiz, I would defy you to tell them apart.
00:41:20.000 So basically, if people wear masks, they must all be the same.
00:41:27.000 That's the idea from genius Thomas Friedman.
00:41:29.000 Genius level stuff.
00:41:30.000 Okay, meanwhile, the Trump administration is responding.
00:41:33.000 Vice President JD Vance tweeted out something that is clearly true.
00:41:36.000 He said, this level of engineered chaos is unique to Minneapolis.
00:41:39.000 It is the direct consequence of far-left agitators working with local authorities.
00:41:43.000 Obviously, that's right.
00:41:44.000 The president put out a statement as well, quote, this is the gunman's gun loaded with two additional full magazines and ready to go.
00:41:51.000 What is that all about?
00:41:52.000 Where are the local police?
00:41:53.000 Why weren't they allowed to protect ICE officers?
00:41:55.000 The mayor and the governor called them off.
00:41:56.000 It is stated that many of these police were not allowed to do their job, that ICE had to protect themselves.
00:42:01.000 Not an easy thing to do.
00:42:02.000 Why does Ilhan Omar have $34 million in her account?
00:42:05.000 And where are the tens of billions of dollars that have been stolen from the once great state of Minnesota?
00:42:09.000 We are there because of massive monetary fraud with billions of dollars missing and illegal criminals that were allowed to infiltrate the state through the Democrats' open border policy.
00:42:16.000 We want the money back and we want it back now.
00:42:18.000 Those fraudsters who stole the money are going to jail where they belong.
00:42:21.000 This is no different from a really big bank robbery.
00:42:23.000 Much of what you're witnessing is a cover-up for this theft and fraud.
00:42:26.000 The mayor and governor are inciting insurrection with their pompous, dangerous, and arrogant rhetoric.
00:42:30.000 Instead, these sanctimonious political fools should be looking for the billions of dollars that have been stolen from the people of Minnesota and the United States of America.
00:42:37.000 Let our ICE patriots do their job.
00:42:39.000 12,000 illegal alien criminals, many of them violent, have been arrested and taken out of Minnesota.
00:42:44.000 If they were still there, you would see something far worse than you are witnessing today.
00:42:48.000 Because that is President Trump's response to all this.
00:42:50.000 And then President Trump suggested that he would be sending Tom Homan as well, the head of his border czar.
00:42:57.000 He said, quote, I'm sending Tom Homan to Minnesota tonight.
00:42:59.000 He has not been involved in that area, but knows and likes many of the people there.
00:43:02.000 Tom is tough but fair and will report directly to me.
00:43:05.000 Separately, a major investigation is going on with respect to the massive $20 billion plus welfare fraud that has taken place in Minnesota.
00:43:12.000 Okay, that is a good move, sending Tom Homan.
00:43:14.000 Cohen is a responsible actor.
00:43:16.000 And this brings us to other members of the Trump administration who make statements about disputed incidents like the death of Alex Predty that are not tied to the videos that we can all see or what appear to be the facts on the ground.
00:43:29.000 We saw this with Renee Goode when Christy Noam, the Department of Homeland Security Secretary, suggested that she was attempting to mow down officers with her car.
00:43:38.000 At the very least, that particular narrative did not seem to be supported by the video.
00:43:44.000 In this particular case, Christy Noam, as this was all unfolding, came out and made a statement in which she suggested that Alex Predty was a domestic terrorist who wanted to inflict maximum damage.
00:43:54.000 This looks like a situation where an individual arrived at this scene to inflict maximum damage on individuals and to kill law enforcement.
00:44:03.000 About hundreds of protesters then showed up at the scene.
00:44:07.000 They began to obstruct and to assault law enforcement officers.
00:44:11.000 We saw objects being thrown at them, including ICE and other objects.
00:44:16.000 And a rampant assault began, and even an HSI officer agent's finger was bitten off.
00:44:23.000 Crowd control measures were deployed to bring safety to the public and to law enforcement at the scene.
00:44:29.000 And once again, I want to remind everybody that this situation and this tragedy did not have to happen.
00:44:34.000 Our law enforcement are doing everything that they can to protect the public.
00:44:39.000 We're praying for this deceased loved one's family and friends, but we also recognize that the Minnesota governor and the Minneapolis mayor need to take a long, hard look in the mirror.
00:44:51.000 This is not connected to the video that you saw.
00:44:54.000 I'm sorry it isn't.
00:44:55.000 The idea that Christy Noam said this guy's a domestic terrorist who wanted to inflict maximum damage, that at the very least he wanted to kill law enforcement.
00:45:02.000 Let's just say that that is a matter under dispute.
00:45:06.000 He's standing there with the cell phone.
00:45:08.000 He is filming people when this whole thing begins.
00:45:10.000 If he wanted to kill law enforcement, presumably his gun would have been drawn at the very beginning.
00:45:14.000 You're allowed to protest while holding a gun.
00:45:16.000 We'll get to that in a moment.
00:45:18.000 Now, the best case for Christy Noam is that it is possible that he reached for what at that point was an empty holster.
00:45:23.000 It is unclear from the tape whether that is the case or not, or whether that triggered the shooting.
00:45:28.000 We don't know yet.
00:45:30.000 But she was grilled on this characterization of events by Peter Deucey because from the tape, it appears that Predty had already been disarmed.
00:45:40.000 You said last night, it looks like a situation where an individual arrived at the scene to inflict maximum damage on individuals and to kill law enforcement.
00:45:49.000 Did he say, I'm going to kill you, or did he leave a note?
00:45:52.000 How do you know that was his intent?
00:45:54.000 You know, part of this investigation we'll be hearing from those agents and officers and people on the ground.
00:45:59.000 But we do know that he came to that scene and impeded a law enforcement operation, which is against federal law.
00:46:05.000 It's a felony.
00:46:06.000 When he did that, interacting with those agents, when they tried to get him to disengage, he became aggressive and resisted them throughout that process.
00:46:16.000 These officers used their training, followed their protocols, and were in fear of their lives and the people around them.
00:46:24.000 And that's how this tragedy unfolded, and we hope we never see it again.
00:46:29.000 It appears that Alex Predty was disarmed.
00:46:33.000 If he was disarmed, is it the protocol to use deadly force?
00:46:37.000 And that's all part of this investigation.
00:46:39.000 Every video will be analyzed.
00:46:40.000 Everything will be looked at.
00:46:42.000 And that's part of the answers: that I can't speak to every single thing that those officers thought, but this happened in seconds.
00:46:49.000 They clearly feared for their lives and took action to defend themselves and the people around them.
00:46:54.000 Okay, so this is the part you should have been saying in the first place.
00:46:57.000 Why is the first iteration is the, he's a domestic terrorist who is trying to murder everybody.
00:47:01.000 And then the second iteration is the reasonable one.
00:47:04.000 The first iteration should be the reasonable one.
00:47:06.000 Why does that matter?
00:47:07.000 Because if you're going to appear, if you want this operation to be successful, if you want ICE to have the trust of the American people, then when things happen, you have to say a full investigation will take place.
00:47:18.000 These matters obviously are incredibly fraught.
00:47:20.000 Resisting arrest, obstructing federal investigations and federal law enforcement is a crime.
00:47:27.000 Do not do this to police officers.
00:47:29.000 Do not do this to federal law enforcement.
00:47:31.000 Don't do it.
00:47:31.000 They have to make snap judgments in a heartbeat.
00:47:34.000 Bad things could happen.
00:47:35.000 A full investigation is taking like that should be the original comment, not he's a domestic terrorist and he was obviously attempting to murder as many people as possible.
00:47:42.000 When you say that sort of stuff, it means that people, number one, aren't going to trust your investigation.
00:47:46.000 And number two, they are not going to trust you anymore because you have said something that does not appear to be supported by the tape.
00:47:53.000 Greg Bovino is one of the leaders of Border Patrol.
00:47:58.000 Again, it was a Border Patrol agent who apparently was involved in the shooting.
00:48:03.000 And here he was explaining the incident.
00:48:06.000 During this operation, an individual approached U.S. Border Patrol agents with a nine millimeter semi-automatic handgun.
00:48:16.000 The agents attempted to disarm the individual, but he violently resisted.
00:48:22.000 Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, a Border Patrol agent fired defensive shots.
00:48:31.000 Medics on the scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject, but the subject was pronounced dead at the scene.
00:48:40.000 The suspect also had two loaded magazines and no accessible ID.
00:48:46.000 This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.
00:48:55.000 Okay, so again, that last sentence is totally unnecessary.
00:48:59.000 Was this a situation where he wanted to inflict maximum damage and massacre law enforcement?
00:49:04.000 If you look at that tape, it's very difficult for your eyes to tell you that.
00:49:08.000 And so obviously this creates a gap between reality and the narrative that you are now being told.
00:49:13.000 And that's bad.
00:49:14.000 It undermines your credibility.
00:49:15.000 It undermines the credibility of law enforcement.
00:49:17.000 Don't do this thing.
00:49:19.000 Truly, if you want ICE to succeed, if you want Border Patrol to be able to perform its job, don't do this thing.
00:49:23.000 Dana Bash at CNN went after Bovino for all of this.
00:49:27.000 Back to the Second Amendment, what you're saying about the Second Amendment is peacefully protesting with firearms.
00:49:34.000 Absolutely.
00:49:34.000 I've done that myself and fully support that, but not when you perpetrate violence, obstruct delay, or obfuscate Border Patrol in the performance of their duties in anti- There's no evidence that he was perpetrating violence.
00:49:50.000 And there's no evidence, unless you have it, and we'd love to see it if there is, that he was intending to massacre law enforcement other than the fact that he was there and he had a gun lawfully.
00:50:02.000 He meant to be there beforehand.
00:50:04.000 Again, again, Dana, he came there beforehand.
00:50:07.000 How do you know that?
00:50:08.000 How do you know that?
00:50:09.000 Because he was there.
00:50:10.000 But all he was doing was filming and documenting it, which is legal.
00:50:13.000 He was carrying a gun, which in Minneapolis.
00:50:16.000 I didn't say it wasn't.
00:50:17.000 And I didn't say it wasn't legal.
00:50:19.000 So then what did he do that was illegal?
00:50:20.000 He didn't assault federal law enforcement when he does that.
00:50:24.000 That's an active law enforcement crime scene.
00:50:27.000 What do you see in the video that he decided to enter into?
00:50:29.000 Where do you see in the video that he was assaulting law enforcement?
00:50:32.000 Because from everything we have seen, law enforcement was assaulting him when he was there trying to help another individual.
00:50:40.000 Dana, law enforcement doesn't assault anyone.
00:50:42.000 Follow directions of law enforcement.
00:50:44.000 Follow directions of law enforcement in an active crime scene.
00:50:49.000 Again, they're talking past each other.
00:50:51.000 But the point is this.
00:50:52.000 What he's saying in that tape with Dana Bash is much more justifiable than what he said.
00:50:56.000 He doesn't have a defense to the idea that Predty was there to commit a massacre because that doesn't appear, again, from the video to be the case.
00:51:04.000 Now, maybe they can show extraneous evidence that is the case, but that's why you do an investigation.
00:51:08.000 And that's why it is important.
00:51:09.000 Again, you want to uphold your credibility.
00:51:11.000 I would like for ICE to be able to do its job.
00:51:13.000 The best way for ICE to do its job is to say, we follow the law.
00:51:17.000 If you get in the way of us following the law, you will be arrested.
00:51:21.000 It raises the risk of bad things happening to you if you get arrested while carrying a gun and resisting arrest.
00:51:28.000 That's it.
00:51:29.000 And there will be full investigations, but don't do it.
00:51:33.000 Let us enforce the law.
00:51:35.000 And now there's another line that was retailed by a couple of members of the administration that I think is the wrong line, suggesting that there is something wrong with protesting even with a gun.
00:51:43.000 Now, again, be specific in your language.
00:51:45.000 Don't resist law enforcement while carrying it.
00:51:47.000 Don't resist law enforcement at all.
00:51:49.000 And don't resist law enforcement while carrying a gun.
00:51:50.000 It raises the risk that somebody is going to see you as a deadly threat because you're carrying a deadly weapon, obviously.
00:51:56.000 That would be a normal thing to say.
00:51:58.000 But when Kash Patel at the FBI says no one who wants to be peaceful shows up at a protest with a firearm, that obviously is not true.
00:52:05.000 But as Secretary Gnome said, no one who wants to be peaceful shows up at a protest with a firearm that is loaded with two full magazines.
00:52:14.000 That is not a peaceful protest, and you do not get to touch law enforcement.
00:52:18.000 You do that anywhere.
00:52:19.000 This FBI is going to be following the leading the charge to arrest those.
00:52:23.000 But how was he threatening Border Patrol?
00:52:26.000 You've collected the evidence, you said, right?
00:52:28.000 You have the handgun in your possession.
00:52:31.000 That's right.
00:52:32.000 And how was he using that handgun in terms of threatening Border Patrol?
00:52:36.000 What was the threat?
00:52:37.000 He had his camera, right?
00:52:38.000 He was filming it.
00:52:40.000 That's something that I let the DHS and the prosecutors, because they are the ones investigating that case.
00:52:45.000 I don't want to stylize that evidence.
00:52:47.000 Again, that should have been the primary response from the beginning.
00:52:51.000 We are going to look into it.
00:52:52.000 There will be a full investigation.
00:52:54.000 This is not difficult stuff.
00:52:55.000 Scott Besson, the Treasury Secretary, suggests, of course, that there is something wrong with going to a protest with a gun.
00:53:00.000 This is not true.
00:53:01.000 It's not true.
00:53:02.000 I have a lot of friends who've gone to various protests while legally carrying firearms because that is legal in the United States.
00:53:08.000 I mean, as you know, he was an ICU nurse, worked for the Veterans Administration, and there's no evidence that he brandished the gun whatsoever.
00:53:15.000 The fact that he brought a disarm before.
00:53:17.000 He brought a gun.
00:53:18.000 Have you ever gone to a protest, Jonathan?
00:53:20.000 I mean, we do have a second amendment in this country.
00:53:22.000 Jonathan, have you ever gone to a protest?
00:53:24.000 I mean, have you gone to a protest?
00:53:26.000 I mean, I've no, actually, as a reporter covering it.
00:53:29.000 Okay, I've been to a protest.
00:53:30.000 Guess what?
00:53:31.000 I didn't bring a gun.
00:53:32.000 I brought a billboard.
00:53:33.000 Okay, no, Again, don't resist officers while carrying a gun.
00:53:38.000 Don't resist officers at all.
00:53:40.000 PR matters when you're in a PR war.
00:53:42.000 Democrats have started a PR war and a violent, a violent, chaotic conflict in Minneapolis, to say the very least.
00:53:51.000 Okay, so what should happen next?
00:53:53.000 That's the big question.
00:53:54.000 So there are some, James Comer, Republican, staunch Trump supporter, who suggests that maybe ICE should just pull out of Minneapolis, let them have at it.
00:54:03.000 If I were President Trump, I would almost think about, okay, if the mayor and the governor are going to put our ICE officials in harm's way and there's a chance of losing more innocent lives or whatever, then maybe go to another city and let the people of Minneapolis decide, do we want to continue to have all of these illegals?
00:54:24.000 Are we going to allow our governor, attorney general, and mayor to get away with this?
00:54:29.000 And I think the people of Minnesota would rebel against their leadership because it's very clear that a majority of Americans want the criminal illegals apprehended.
00:54:38.000 And that's what ICE is trying to do.
00:54:40.000 Okay, so again, he's not the only one who's calling for a sort of pause or moving away from Minneapolis.
00:54:46.000 The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board suggests that President Trump would be wise to pause ICE enforcement in the Twin Cities to ease tensions and consider a less provocative strategy.
00:54:54.000 They admit that the left would then conclude their civil disobedience has paid off.
00:54:57.000 Okay, so here's the problem.
00:54:58.000 It's catch 22 for the Trump administration.
00:55:00.000 Because if the Trump administration continues to pursue operations the way that they are currently going, there will be likely more of these incidents because if people resist arrest and obstruct law enforcement, they are likely to meet with violent ends in some cases.
00:55:12.000 At the same time, if you abandon the city, then the apparent notice has gone out that if you're a blue city or a blue state, you can simply repel federal law authority by sending a bunch of protesters in the streets to obstruct federal law enforcement and maybe get shot on camera.
00:55:26.000 And you can't run a popsicle stand that way.
00:55:28.000 You can't run a country that way.
00:55:29.000 You can't enforce federal law that way.
00:55:31.000 In my opinion, the president of the United States should invite Governor Walls to the White House and Jacob Fry, and he should sit them down and he should say, listen, we are focused solely on enforcing the law with regard to criminal, illegal immigrants.
00:55:45.000 If you continue to obstruct that, we will continue to enforce the law, but federal money will go away for any projects to which we can legally remove that funding.
00:55:57.000 You make suggestions on how we can better facilitate the removal of criminal illegal immigrants.
00:56:02.000 We're not going to stop enforcing the law because you activate protesters.
00:56:04.000 We're not going to do it.
00:56:06.000 It's up to you.
00:56:07.000 You tell us how we solve this problem.
00:56:10.000 And one option that is not on the table is refusal to enforce federal law.
00:56:14.000 You tell us, what does that look like?
00:56:16.000 Because you're not helping us.
00:56:18.000 We would love your help.
00:56:19.000 You say that your local law enforcement is better trained.
00:56:21.000 Great.
00:56:22.000 When they have an arrest and that person is a criminal, they should inform ICE about who is an illegal immigrant and ICE can come pick them up.
00:56:29.000 And that makes it a lot easier.
00:56:32.000 How do we solve the problem?
00:56:32.000 You tell us.
00:56:35.000 But here's the precondition.
00:56:36.000 The precondition is federal law will be enforced.
00:56:39.000 And if you do not, if you get in the way of federal law enforcement, then whatever legal options we have are on the table to enforce federal law.
00:56:51.000 Because again, this is a systemic problem.
00:56:54.000 This is not merely a sort of one-off.
00:56:57.000 If the goal here is, if the idea from now on is that anytime there's a federal law enforcement agency that attempts to pursue the law, that local protesters can create chaos and then drive federal law enforcement out of their state, then you have effectively state nullification of federal law.
00:57:15.000 That really is the predicate to civil war.
00:57:21.000 It is a giant fail.
00:57:22.000 It should not happen.
00:57:25.000 But we're all ears.
00:57:26.000 If Governor Walls and Jacob Fry don't like the way that the law is being enforced in Minneapolis, show us how the law should be enforced in Minneapolis, short of it shouldn't be enforced at all, because it shouldn't be enforced at all is not a legally tenable position or a morally tenable position.

00:58:00.000 What was it like, Marlon, to be alone with God?
00:58:09.000 Is that who you think I was alone with?
00:58:14.000 Madame, I knew your father.
00:58:17.000 I am yet convinced that he was not of this world.
00:58:22.000 All men know of the great Talies.
00:58:25.000 You are my father.
00:58:27.000 The gods shoot all for my soul.
00:58:30.000 Princess Garris, savior of our people.
00:58:35.000 I know what the bull got offered you.
00:58:38.000 I was offered the same.
00:58:40.000 And there is a new pirate work in the world.
00:58:43.000 I've seen it.
00:58:46.000 A god who sacrifices what he loves for us.
00:58:48.000 We are each given only one life singer.
00:58:52.000 We're given another.
00:58:56.000 I learned of Yezu the Christ, and I have become his follower.
00:59:00.000 He's waiting on a miracle, and I think you can give him one.
00:59:04.000 Trust in Yezu.
00:59:05.000 He is the only hope for men like us.
00:59:08.000 Fate of Britain never rests in the hands of the Great Light.
00:59:11.000 Great Light, Great Darkness.
00:59:14.000 Such things mattered to me then.
00:59:16.000 What matters to you now, Mistress of Lies?
00:59:20.000 You, nephew.
00:59:25.000 The sword of a high king.
00:59:29.000 How many lives must be lost before you accept the power you were born to wield?
00:59:36.000 Still clinging to the promises of a god who has abandoned you.
00:59:40.000 I cannot take up that sword again.
00:59:43.000 You know what you must do.
00:59:46.000 Great Life, forgive me.
