The Ben Shapiro Show - Democrats Run Against “Whiteness” And “Christian Nationalism”

00:00:00.000 We'll get to the news in just a minute, but if you haven't seen Ladyballers from The Daily Wire yet, you're missing out on the most triggering comedy of the year.

00:00:06.000 It's the biggest launch in Daily Wire history.

00:00:08.000 You can watch exclusively at Daily Wire Plus.

00:00:11.000 If you're not a member, luckily for you, with code COACH, you can become a part of the Daily Wire Plus team and save 50 bucks on new annual memberships.

00:00:20.000 Well, there are a lot of threats facing America these days.

00:00:22.000 One is the threat of fiscal collapse.

00:00:24.000 Mid to long term, America's economic system is increasingly unsustainable.

00:00:28.000 We are currently running a $33 trillion national debt.

00:00:32.000 Our actual national debt, including unfunded liabilities, runs at least another $80 trillion over the next 75 years.

00:00:38.000 Virtually all of that is driven by Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security shortfalls.

00:00:43.000 This means, sooner or later, we're going to have to radically increase taxes, cut benefits, or inflate our own currency.

00:00:49.000 Those are the only options available.

00:00:51.000 Another threat is the threat of foreign aggression.

00:00:53.000 The United States is lucky.

00:00:54.000 We're surrounded by ocean on one side, ocean on the other side, Mexicans to the south and Canadians to the north. 0.99

00:01:00.000 But that does not mean that we are invulnerable.

00:01:02.000 As the world becomes a more and more dangerous place as American power recedes, we will feel that everywhere from our pocketbook to our military budget.

00:01:10.000 American hegemony has created a global economy that has paid off for the American consumers in extraordinary ways that can easily be reversed, and indicators are that it will be.

00:01:20.000 A third threat is the threat of internal moral collapse.

00:01:23.000 Indeed, this threat is the chief factor behind the first two threats.

00:01:27.000 As our communities die, our local institutions lose credibility and loyalty, and we stop having kids, our economy turns upside down.

00:01:33.000 The government grows, but the population that has to fund it doesn't.

00:01:36.000 Government spending grows, but the population supporting that government spending does not.

00:01:42.000 As the post-American future takes hold at home, it will similarly take hold abroad, with our enemies ready to fill that gap. 0.82

00:01:48.000 That last threat is the truly frightening one.

00:01:51.000 It's the reason for America's polarized politics.

00:01:53.000 We used to share basic values, particularly at the local level.

00:01:56.000 Now, those values are falling away, replaced with hatred and rage, largely at Christians and white Americans.

00:02:02.000 Take, for example, James Carville.

00:02:04.000 Carville is a Clintonian political voice.

00:02:06.000 In fact, he was the lead political strategist for the Clintons.

00:02:10.000 He's a person who has routinely urged the Democratic Party to move away from its most extreme, radical, woke positions, understanding that they are electoral poison.

00:02:19.000 But now he has apparently decided that the Republican Party in general is a threat to the United States.

00:02:24.000 That it is what he calls a Christian Nationalist Party.

00:02:27.000 Now what does he mean by that term?

00:02:29.000 Apparently he doesn't mean that many Republicans prefer to see a revitalized church at the center of American life.

00:02:34.000 A proposition which not only is reasonable, it's a proposition with which I wholeheartedly agree as an Orthodox Jew.

00:02:40.000 Americans need more church.

00:02:42.000 Now, that's not what James Carville means.

00:02:44.000 He means the Republican Party is, in the words of far-left Daily Kost founder Marcos Melitzus, an American Taliban.

00:02:50.000 Here was Carville on Bill Maher's show on Friday night.

00:02:53.000 Mike Johnson and what he believes is one of the greatest threats we have today to the United States.

00:03:00.000 And when I'm about to punish you, I know these people.

00:03:04.000 You're talking about Christian nationalism.

00:03:07.000 Absolutely.

00:03:08.000 This is a bigger threat than Al-Qaeda to this country. 0.71

00:03:13.000 Let me tell you something.

00:03:15.000 They're Speaker of the House.

00:03:16.000 They've got at least two Supreme Court justices, maybe more.

00:03:22.000 Right?

00:03:22.000 Don't kid yourself.

00:03:23.000 And people in the press have no idea who this guy is, how he was formed, what the threat is.

00:03:30.000 And this is a fundamental threat to the United States.

00:03:35.000 It is a fundamental thing.

00:03:36.000 Don't believe in a Constitution.

00:03:38.000 Don't tell you that.

00:03:39.000 Mike Johnson himself says, what is democracy but two wolves and a lamb having lunch?

00:03:46.000 Now, what he's saying here is truly nutty.

00:03:49.000 In Carville's views, he says, By the way, that quote from Mike Johnson?

00:03:51.000 and the Speaker of the House are leading the charge for a Christian theocracy. 0.82

00:03:56.000 By the way, that quote from Mike Johnson, it is not a revocation of republicanism,

00:04:01.000 meaning a representative democracy.

00:04:04.000 It is a revocation of the idea that you can simply, through majority vote, decide all issues.

00:04:08.000 But according to James Carville, that is a Christian theocracy. 0.97

00:04:12.000 And again, he says there are two Supreme Court justices who are on board with Christian theocracy. 0.96

00:04:16.000 I wonder who those would be.

00:04:17.000 Maybe Amy Coney Barrett?

00:04:18.000 Clarence Thomas?

00:04:19.000 He doesn't make it clear.

00:04:20.000 And, says James Carville, they are a bigger threat than the terrorist group that committed 9-11.

00:04:25.000 And by that, he really means, then, radical Islam in general.

00:04:28.000 Again, this is wild stuff.

00:05:34.000 Now, James Carville isn't the only Democratic voice who sees traditional Republicans as the enemy.

00:05:40.000 Carville says it's all about the Christian nationalism that is inherent in the Republican Party.

00:05:44.000 But that's leaving aside the woker side of the party.

00:05:47.000 That would be represented by grifter extraordinaire, Ibram X. Kendi.

00:05:51.000 Ibram X. Kendi, you'll recall, is the author of How to Be Anti-Racist.

00:05:56.000 His entire premise is that if you do not mirror the prescriptions of Ibram X. Kendi, then you are in fact a racist. 0.82

00:06:01.000 And he says that his fellow Americans are generally white supremacists.

00:06:06.000 I don't think white people worldwide have really reckoned with how much their own personal identity is shaped by constructions of whiteness and how much that construction of whiteness prevents white people from connecting to humanity.

00:06:33.000 In other words, Recognizing that when you recognize that you are part and parcel of humanity.

00:06:47.000 In other words, you're not over humanity. 0.98

00:06:51.000 Okay, so white people are all emblematic of white supremacy. 0.94

00:06:55.000 They are over other members of humanity. 0.92

00:06:57.000 And this, according to Max Kendi and his ilk, this is represented by the Republican Party in the United States.

00:07:02.000 This apparently will be the Democratic Party's campaign in 2024. 0.83

00:07:05.000 Republicans are Christian theocrats and white supremacists. 0.89

00:07:09.000 According to them, the entire Republican Party is dominated by a desire for white Christian fascism or something. 0.97

00:07:15.000 The response, presumably, would be an alliance of the secularists and people of color.

00:07:19.000 Not shockingly, that is precisely the coalition the Democratic Party seems to be wooing, running on abortion and quote-unquote anti-racism.

00:07:27.000 They are pushing forward this agenda with ugly scare tactics.

00:07:29.000 That is why the Atlantic magazine is dedicating its first issue of 2024 to suggesting that any vote for Donald Trump in 2024 is a vote for a fascist regime.

00:07:37.000 According to official Obama jockstrap sniffer Jeffrey Goldberg, editor of that rag, quote, I encourage you to read all of the articles in this special issue carefully, though perhaps not in one sitting for reasons of mental hygiene.

00:07:49.000 Our team of brilliant writers makes convincingly this positive case that both Trump and Trumpism pose an existential threat to America and to the ideas that animate it."

00:07:58.000 Yes, according to these folks, if you vote for Trump, you have handed away America's future.

00:08:03.000 This sort of messaging is also being promoted by Republicans experiencing strange new respect.

00:08:08.000 That is the respect you receive when suddenly you start mimicking Democratic lines.

00:08:11.000 That'd be people like Liz Cheney, who's mirroring the doom-mongering of the left. 1.00

00:08:15.000 Here she was yesterday. 0.99

00:08:17.000 Say Donald Trump, if he is re-elected, it will be the end of the republic.

00:08:21.000 What do you mean?

00:08:22.000 He's told us what he will do.

00:08:24.000 People who say, well, if he's elected, it's not that dangerous because we have all of these checks and balances, don't fully understand the extent to which the Republicans in Congress today have been co-opted.

00:08:39.000 One of the things that we see happening today is a sort of a sleepwalking into a dictatorship in the United States.

00:08:50.000 Sleepwalking into dictatorship, fascism, white supremacy, Christian nationalism, all the buzzwords, and all of it is going to materialize if Donald Trump becomes president in 2024.

00:09:01.000 Now, ironically, this sort of alarmism is one of the very biggest root threats to the country.

00:09:07.000 Countries in which both sides start speaking about how the next election is the last election, about how their political opponents, if they win, mean the end of the country, are in serious, serious trouble.

00:09:17.000 That sort of scaremongering gets out votes because everybody freaks out, but it also sets the house on fire in the name of saving the house.

00:09:23.000 Listen, I want Joe Biden to lose in 2024.

00:09:26.000 I think he's a terrible president doing dangerous things that will be incredibly difficult to rectify.

00:09:30.000 But the end of America is not, in fact, nigh in 2024.

00:09:34.000 Not unless, ironically, everyone keeps saying it is.

00:09:37.000 The closer both sides draw to the abyss, the more each party says the next election is the last election, the more that fantasy draws closer to reality.

00:09:45.000 If you have two members of a couple and both of them keep saying, the next thing you do, I'm going to divorce you, divorce becomes significantly more likely.

00:09:54.000 When you do the same thing inside of a country, the same thing is true. 0.78

00:09:57.000 The country comes closer and closer to falling apart. 0.93

00:10:00.000 When you see your neighbors on the right as people who are white supremacists, Christian nationalists, fascists, it makes it very difficult to live with those people.

00:10:10.000 Conversely, if you're on the right, and you see people who vote Democrat, as such a threat to the nature of the very republic that we are part of, that if Joe Biden were to win the next election, it would be the last election, which by the way, no one believes.

00:10:23.000 Donald Trump said the same thing in 2020, and then Joe Biden won, and guess what?

00:10:26.000 He's running again in 2024.

00:10:28.000 Once both sides decide that the next election is the last election, the reality of that threat starts to materialize.

00:10:34.000 And that, in fact, is a true threat to the republic.

00:10:37.000 It is a serious, serious problem.

00:10:40.000 Now, speaking of the 2024 election, Joe Biden is, in fact, in dire trouble.

00:10:45.000 The current polling is really, really bad for Joe Biden right now.

00:10:49.000 Again, there was no point during the 2012 race in which Barack Obama seriously trailed Mitt Romney.

00:10:56.000 There was no point in the 2020 race in which Donald Trump had a serious lead on Joe Biden.

00:11:02.000 And in this particular race, Donald Trump does have a material lead against Joe Biden.

00:11:06.000 And things are only going to get worse for Biden because everything is pretty much baked into the cake with regard to Trump.

00:11:11.000 This is why you're seeing the language with regard to Trump get more and more heated.

00:11:16.000 It's very hard to add new information to the Trump system. 0.99

00:11:19.000 Trump is such, and this has been true since 2016, he is a mud monster. 0.99

00:11:23.000 The more mud you throw on him, the more it looks like mud. 0.99

00:11:26.000 And then you throw more mud and he's still covered in mud.

00:11:27.000 That means that even were he to be convicted of a crime, there would be a brief spike in terms of people outraged, and then it would immediately get absorbed into the rest of the mud monster and everything would go away. 1.00

00:11:37.000 That is not true with Joe Biden.

00:11:39.000 Joe Biden has been made to look very incompetent.

00:11:43.000 Joe Biden has been made to look very bad, largely because of his own performance.

00:11:49.000 I mean, in reality, Joe Biden's sagging economy has been quite terrible for him, especially among the groups he needs to vote for him.

00:11:55.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, the pandemic made Americans richer across every racial, ethnic, and income group, but not equally.

00:12:01.000 Home value shot up, with fewer opportunities to spend money during lockdowns, many people paid down debt, and boosted savings.

00:12:06.000 Between 2019 and 2021, the median household's net worth increased 30%.

00:12:11.000 The wealth of white and Asian households increased the most in total dollars during those years.

00:12:15.000 But for many black and Hispanic families, the boost wasn't enough to lift them fully out of debt.

00:12:19.000 One in four black households and one in seven Hispanic households had zero wealth at the end of 2021.

00:12:23.000 They managed to make a dent in their debt.

00:12:27.000 But those families are likely under greater strain now that many of the factors that boosted wealth during the pandemic have reversed.

00:12:32.000 In other words, the economy has been particularly bad for black and Hispanic Americans.

00:12:36.000 Those are exactly the sorts of people that the Democratic Party is counting on.

00:12:41.000 What's more, the economy is, in fact, starting to cool.

00:12:45.000 Inflation is coming down, but so too is the stock market.

00:12:48.000 The stock market is starting to mediate because, of course, as inflation comes down, prices on bonds are going up, which means prices on stocks are comparatively less good.

00:12:57.000 You're starting to see the unemployment stats creeping up so that that sort of sweet spot, even if we find it, it's going to mean an increase in unemployment generated by bad economic plans from the Biden administration and radical overspending.

00:13:12.000 All of that is leading up to the election in which Joe Biden is going to be 80-some years old.

00:13:18.000 Obviously not doing well physically.

00:13:19.000 Obviously not all there mentally.

00:13:21.000 Plus, hit with more corruption scandals.

00:13:23.000 We'll get to that in just one second.

00:14:36.000 Okay, so.

00:14:38.000 If Joe Biden is vulnerable, because again, people, he's not a mud monster.

00:14:42.000 People perceive him in a certain way.

00:14:43.000 That perception can be shattered.

00:14:44.000 Hillary had the same exact problem in 2016. 0.99

00:14:47.000 The right hated her, but it wasn't just that the right hated her.

00:14:49.000 It's that the more she got hit, the worse she looked.

00:14:52.000 The same is true for Joe Biden.

00:14:53.000 So yesterday, James Comer, who's the head of the House Oversight Committee, he came out with the announcement that Joe Biden did in fact receive payments from an organization that was run by Hunter Biden, a fund that was essentially funded by foreign sources And belong to Hunter Biden.

00:15:07.000 Here was James Comer explaining.

00:15:10.000 President Joe Biden claimed there was an absolute wall between his official government duties and his family's influence peddling schemes.

00:15:18.000 This was a lie.

00:15:20.000 President Joe Biden claimed his family didn't receive money from China.

00:15:24.000 This was a lie.

00:15:26.000 President Joe Biden claimed he never spoke to his son, Hunter Biden, about the Biden's family's shady business dealings.

00:15:32.000 This was a lie.

00:15:34.000 Now, Hunter Biden's legal team and the White House's media allies claim Hunter's corporate entities never made payments directly to Joe Biden.

00:15:44.000 We can officially add this latest talking point to the list of lies.

00:15:48.000 Today, the House Oversight Committee is releasing subpoenaed bank records that show Hunter Biden's business entity, a Wasco PC, made direct monthly payments to Joe Biden.

00:16:00.000 This wasn't a payment from Hunter Biden's personal account, but an account for his corporation that received payments from China and other shady corners of the world.

00:16:09.000 Okay, so this is Comer's claim.

00:16:12.000 And the claim happens to be true.

00:16:13.000 There was money that passed between this particular law firm, Owasco PC, which had received payments from a Chinese state-linked company and other foreign companies to Joe Biden.

00:16:24.000 There's some direct monthly payments.

00:16:26.000 Now, were they large payments?

00:16:27.000 They weren't.

00:16:28.000 The three payments of $1,380 that occurred in September, October, November 2018 were apparently for a 2018 Ford Raptor truck that Biden had purchased that Hunter Biden was using, according to an email verified by a Washington Post forensic analysis.

00:16:42.000 So what?

00:16:42.000 That doesn't actually debunk the charge.

00:16:44.000 The charge that Comer is making is that money that was gotten, ill-gotten gains, from foreign sources were used to reimburse Joe Biden.

00:16:47.000 an investigation. The truth is that Hunter's father helped him when he was struggling financially

00:16:51.000 due to his addiction and could not secure credit to finance a truck. When Hunter was

00:16:55.000 able to, he paid his father back and took over the payments himself.

00:16:57.000 So what? That doesn't actually debunk the charge. The charge that Comer is making is that money

00:17:05.000 that was gotten, ill-gotten gains from foreign sources were used to reimburse Joe Biden. It

00:17:08.000 doesn't matter the size of the payments. That's not what matters.

00:17:12.000 The matter is that this is now a documented instance of money passing from Chinese-linked firms to Hunter Biden and then to Joe Biden.

00:17:20.000 It doesn't have to be that Joe Biden received this as like an on-top form of enrichment just because he gave a loan to his son and then his son paid back the loan using money from ill-gotten gains.

00:17:29.000 It doesn't mean that Joe Biden has not benefited from ill-gotten gains.

00:17:32.000 If I give you a loan and you go out and you rob a bank and then you pay me back that loan, I've still benefited.

00:17:37.000 I gave you the loan.

00:17:38.000 You owe me money.

00:17:40.000 And so if you give me the money, I have benefited, obviously.

00:17:43.000 A spokesperson for the Oversight Committee used the fact that the payments came from one of Hunter Biden's accounts to suggest something more nefarious.

00:17:49.000 as quote, there is now a pattern of members of the Biden family using their bank accounts

00:17:52.000 that have been funded by Chinese and other foreign entities to send money to Joe Biden.

00:17:56.000 Based on witness testimony, Biden knew and participated in his family's influence peddling

00:17:59.000 schemes.

00:18:00.000 The checks and payments we've uncovered revealed Joe Biden benefited from them.

00:18:04.000 But the Washington Post says that this is a an oversold story.

00:18:07.000 They're misrepresenting the committee's findings and all the rest.

00:18:11.000 Now again, I don't even understand what they're trying to debunk here.

00:18:16.000 The thing that they're trying to debunk is pretty obviously true, meaning that Joe Biden did receive money from Hunter Biden's accounts, and those accounts were in fact getting money from foreign sources.

00:18:26.000 The size of the payment doesn't really matter.

00:18:29.000 Joe Biden has suggested he never received money from any of these relationships.

00:18:32.000 First he suggested that Hunter had never done anything wrong.

00:18:34.000 That turned out to be obviously untrue.

00:18:36.000 Then he suggested that he had no knowledge of Hunter ever having done anything wrong.

00:18:39.000 And that obviously was untrue.

00:18:40.000 Then he suggested that he was not involved in any way in his son's business.

00:18:43.000 That obviously was untrue.

00:18:44.000 Then it was that he wasn't in business with his son.

00:18:47.000 That's not clear.

00:18:48.000 And then it was that he received no money from his son from ill-gotten gains.

00:18:51.000 And that obviously is not true.

00:18:54.000 The White House has said repeatedly that the President and his son were never in business together.

00:19:00.000 The White House has said repeatedly that the President and his son were never in business

00:19:05.000 together.

00:19:06.000 They've said that repeatedly also in this room.

00:19:09.000 According to bank records obtained by the House Oversight Committee, though,

00:19:13.000 one of Hunter Biden's businesses, Osawad PC, set up direct payments to the President.

00:19:18.000 Did the President accept payment?

00:19:22.000 And why would there be such an arrangement if they were never in business together

00:19:26.000 or if there was a wall of separation, as the President has previously said?

00:19:29.000 So I have to be...

00:19:31.000 Clear with you.

00:19:32.000 I have not seen that report, so I would have to refer you to my colleagues over at the White House Counsel's Office on that particular question.

00:19:39.000 All right, everyone.

00:19:40.000 See some of you in Boston or on Wednesday.

00:19:42.000 Thanks, everybody.

00:19:45.000 Catch you later.

00:19:45.000 Bye.

00:19:46.000 Again, none of this is going to benefit Joe Biden.

00:19:49.000 His record on the economy is weak.

00:19:51.000 His personal foibles are obvious to everyone, and the more the media keep trying to talk past them, the more everybody notices them.

00:19:57.000 There is a reason that Joe Biden is not going to end up debating Donald Trump in this election cycle, and it is because he actually cannot be on the same stage as Donald Trump.

00:20:04.000 Donald Trump is a very alive 77-year-old, and Joe Biden is a very not-alive 81-year-old at this point in time, or will be by the time the election happens.

00:20:12.000 In one second, we'll get to Joe Biden's foreign policy record.

00:20:15.000 Finally, the perfect gift for somebody who has everything.

00:20:18.000 A gift that will reach eternity.

00:20:20.000 What could be more important?

00:20:21.000 Preborn gives this gift 200 times every day, rescuing babies whose lives are in peril.

00:20:25.000 These babies' lives are precious and beautiful.

00:20:27.000 Their heart begins to form a conception, and in just three weeks, it's already beating.

00:20:30.000 At five weeks, a baby's heartbeat can be heard on ultrasound,

00:20:32.000 and by six weeks, eyes are forming.

00:20:34.000 Preborn needs our help to save these precious souls. 0.89

00:20:37.000 See, moms have been lied to all over the country. 1.00

00:20:39.000 They have been told that what's growing inside them is not, in fact, a child, let alone their child.

00:20:43.000 It is just a big nothing.

00:20:44.000 But ultrasound disabuses them of that notion by introducing them to their children long before the kids are born.

00:20:49.000 For just 28 bucks, you can sponsor an ultrasound and introduce a mom to her baby, which doubles that baby's chance at life. 0.77

00:20:55.000 Right now, through a matching grant, your gift saves twice as many babies.

00:20:58.000 Please give the gift of life.

00:21:00.000 Have your donation matched today by dialing pound 250, saying keyword baby.

00:21:04.000 That is pound 250 baby, or donate securely at preborn.com slash Ben.

00:21:09.000 That is preborn.com slash Ben, or dial pound 250 and say keyword baby to get started saving lives today.

00:21:16.000 Okay, meanwhile.

00:21:18.000 The Biden administration foreign policy.

00:21:19.000 Right now, there are several issues on foreign policy that are threatening to Biden's re-elect efforts.

00:21:24.000 One of them is obviously Ukraine.

00:21:26.000 This was the great moral war that Joe Biden got behind very early on.

00:21:30.000 And it wasn't immoral for the United States to support Ukraine in preventing Russia from taking over the entire country. 0.56

00:21:37.000 All the isolationists out there who are like, well, Ukraine provoked Russia into it.

00:21:40.000 Let's assume for a second that you're totally right.

00:21:41.000 Does that mean that Russia now gets to completely ingest Ukraine? 0.87

00:21:45.000 Is that the actual solution?

00:21:46.000 Is that Russia gets to ingest Ukraine and put itself on the borders of NATO, by the way? 0.82

00:21:50.000 Would that be like a smart solution?

00:21:52.000 Or does it make sense that you provide enough aid for Ukraine to actually be able to repel that invasion and then recognize what the realities are on the ground, which is that Russia has significant buildup in Donbass, in Crimea, and that short of going to direct war with Russia, which nobody wants, the final lines of demarcation were pretty obvious by like April, May, June of 2022.

00:22:14.000 And yet Joe Biden never made clear what exactly his goals were in Ukraine.

00:22:18.000 Instead, they just kept saying things like, as long as it takes, whatever the Ukrainians want.

00:22:24.000 Well, the problem is that the Ukrainians had never even articulated a goal other than the complete liberation of Donbass and Crimea.

00:22:30.000 And then the United States was not willing to provide the weaponry that would actually be necessary, like the F-16s that would be necessary in order to actually achieve air superiority, for example, in those particular regions.

00:22:40.000 They've not been given the ammunition and armaments necessary to actually make that sort of thing effective.

00:22:46.000 And so hundreds of thousands of people have been dying on both sides of this particular war in pursuit of moving a line that has not moved.

00:22:53.000 This has turned into World War I trench warfare, essentially.

00:22:56.000 And yet the White House is now proclaiming that if this thing turns into a stalemate, which it already is, then obviously that'll be because of some shortcoming in funding.

00:23:05.000 Now, it's pretty obvious all along what should have happened here.

00:23:07.000 Henry Kissinger spelled it out again last year.

00:23:09.000 It was an unpopular point of view, but it happened to be correct. 0.97

00:23:11.000 He basically said that the United States was going to have to make clear to the Ukrainians what the solution was. 0.55

00:23:16.000 Namely, we'll provide you enough aid that you guys are not invaded again and that you can defend yourselves against future invasion.

00:23:23.000 We'll provide you some sort of defense guarantee.

00:23:26.000 Also, you're probably not going to enter NATO because if you enter NATO, then that is obviously going to project aggression against the Russians.

00:23:34.000 You're not going to be formally admitted to the EU, at least not right now.

00:23:39.000 And also, Russia is going to basically maintain the lines that they gained under President Obama, by the way, in 2014 when they invaded Russia, when they invaded Crimea and the Donbass.

00:23:50.000 And then the United States was going to have to make that side deal with Putin and go to Zelensky and the Ukrainians and basically cram it down on them and say, listen, we're the ones who are signing the checks and that's the way this deal is going to go. 0.90

00:23:58.000 Why?

00:23:59.000 Not because that's bad for Ukraine or Zelensky, but because it's good for Ukraine or Zelensky.

00:24:03.000 Because Zelensky at this point cannot go back to his own people and tell them, I'm not taking Donbass, I'm not taking Crimea.

00:24:09.000 He obviously has every interest in saying that he's going to take both of those things, but it's not really a plausible solution.

00:24:14.000 And so instead, because the Biden administration did not have the stones to simply go and negotiate that deal and then give Zelensky the ability to rip on Biden and say, listen, I wanted more, but Biden forced it on me because Biden wasn't willing to take that hit.

00:24:26.000 Instead, Biden is going to take the entire hit, which is going to be a consistent feeling of stalemate with no off-ramp anywhere in here.

00:24:33.000 And he's going to be the one who pays the political price for that.

00:24:37.000 So for his part, Biden and the White House, they're now trying to project all responsibility for that stalemate, not on their own failure to spell out a strategy in the first place or to recognize reality on the ground when it materialized.

00:24:48.000 I mean, again, the United States tried to provide the armaments material necessary for a major winter offensive from Ukraine against Russia, and it just never broke through in any serious way.

00:24:58.000 Instead, they are now trying to project their own failures onto Congress for not wanting to extend aid.

00:25:03.000 Now, will Congress end up extending aid?

00:25:05.000 Yes.

00:25:05.000 Congress will end up extending aid to the extent necessary that Ukraine will not fall to the Russians.

00:25:09.000 That is a thing that the United States will do.

00:25:11.000 There's a large support, even in Republican circles, for at least that much.

00:25:15.000 Even Republicans don't want to see Kiev fall to the Russians, at least the vast majority of them. 1.00

00:25:20.000 But what the White House is now saying is that unless you continue to sort of grant blank checks as the White House

00:25:25.000 uses in its discretion, then you are somehow helping Putin.

00:25:29.000 So National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, he had a presser yesterday in which he pointed out that Ukraine would run

00:25:35.000 out of resources by the end of the year.

00:25:37.000 On Ukraine, as you've all seen earlier today, OMB Director Shalanda Young sent a letter to congressional leaders,

00:25:44.000 which Corrine was just referencing, explaining that without congressional action,

00:25:48.000 the administration will run out of resources by the end of the year to procure more weapons and equipment for Ukraine

00:25:54.000 and to provide equipment from U.S. military.

00:25:56.000 military stocks without impacting our own military readiness.

00:26:01.000 So, Speaker of the House Johnson responded, he said, the Biden administration has failed to substantively

00:26:05.000 address any of my conference's legitimate concerns about the lack of a clear

00:26:09.000 strategy in Ukraine, a path to resolving the conflict, or a plan for adequately

00:26:12.000 ensuring accountability for aid provided by American taxpayers. House Republicans have

00:26:15.000 resolved that any national security supplemental package must begin with our own border. And

00:26:20.000 again, there will be some sort of package deal that ends up signed here, mainly because Joe

00:26:24.000 Biden and the Democrats keep vetoing each independent part of this bill. But the White House,

00:26:30.000 instead of spelling out what their actual plan here is, instead, they're suggesting that if you don't

00:26:34.000 support the kind of funding they want, you are helping out Putin, which again, is not going to be

00:26:38.000 a particularly strong argument.

00:26:39.000 Are you saying that any member of Congress who votes against aid to Ukraine is voting for Putin?

00:26:48.000 I believe that any member of Congress who does not support funding for Ukraine is voting for an outcome that will make it easier for Putin to prevail.

00:26:56.000 That is, a vote against supporting Ukraine is a vote to improve Putin's strategic position.

00:27:02.000 That's just an inescapable reality.

00:27:04.000 That's not speaking to someone's motive, why they chose to vote against it.

00:27:08.000 That's just speaking to the outcome of their vote.

00:27:12.000 Well, I mean, it happens to be true that if Ukraine were to collapse, too, the Russians, of course, that helps Vladimir Putin.

00:27:17.000 The question is, how do you come to an agreement on what exactly the United States should be doing here?

00:27:21.000 The New York Times reports that the Democratic-led Senate is preparing to vote Wednesday on more than $61 billion in Ukraine-focused assistance as part of a $106 billion national security package that would also fund Israel's war effort in Gaza.

00:27:33.000 But apparently, the White House is now trying to pressure GOP lawmakers to abandon border security concerns.

00:27:41.000 So the Republicans are aiming for some sort of border security package attached to all of this, and Democrats are saying no.

00:27:46.000 So now who is against the aid?

00:27:48.000 Again, if this is a battle of poison pills, that's a pretty significant poison pill you're throwing in there.

00:27:51.000 Republicans are saying, how about some border security?

00:27:53.000 And Democrats are saying no.

00:27:54.000 Why would you say no?

00:27:56.000 And by the way, it's not as though this administration has laid forth a cohesive strategy with regard to Ukraine.

00:28:02.000 The Washington Post admits as much, quote, miscalculations, divisions, marked offensive planning by U.S.

00:28:07.000 Ukraine.

00:28:10.000 Apparently, a meeting in Brussels less than two weeks into the campaign illustrates how a counteroffensive born in optimism has failed to deliver its expected punch, generating friction and second-guessing between Washington and Kiev and raising deeper questions about Ukraine's ability to retake decisive amounts of territory.

00:28:23.000 As winter approaches and the front lines freeze into place, Ukraine's most senior military officials acknowledge the war has reached a stalemate.

00:28:31.000 This examination of the lead-up to Ukraine's counteroffensive is based on interviews with more than 30 senior officials from Ukraine, the United States, and European nations.

00:28:39.000 And it shows that there was a gap between what the U.S. 0.60

00:28:42.000 and Ukraine thought were actually possible.

00:28:45.000 So, for example, U.S.

00:28:47.000 military officials were confident a mechanized frontal attack on Russian lines was feasible with the troops and weapons Ukraine had.

00:28:52.000 The simulations concluded that Kiev's forces, in the best case, could reach the Sea of Azov and cut off Russian troops in the south in 60 to 90 days.

00:28:59.000 But apparently, that never happened.

00:29:01.000 The Ukrainians didn't want to do that. 0.99

00:29:04.000 So there is a gap in strategic planning between the United States and Ukraine.

00:29:08.000 There's no off-ramp.

00:29:09.000 And then the idea is that unless you give the funding the White House is sort of asking for, that you are anti-Ukraine.

00:29:14.000 How about you spell out a plan, guys?

00:29:16.000 But again, Joe Biden has boxed himself in here because he has spelled, there is no off-ramp.

00:29:20.000 What looks like a victory for 2024 for Ukraine? 0.69

00:29:22.000 Absolutely unclear at this point.

00:29:24.000 Meanwhile, victory is well within grasp for America's ally Israel against Hamas. 0.77

00:29:29.000 And meanwhile, the White House is sort of futzing around over there.

00:29:34.000 So when it comes to Ukraine, they're like, gung-ho, all in, let's do this thing, unstoppable aid, no plan, unstoppable aid, no victory, keep that money pouring in or you love Putin.

00:29:45.000 And then on the Israel issue, Israel actually has the military capacity to finish off Hamas.

00:29:49.000 Israel has the military capacity to make the Gaza Strip, at the very least, quiescent with regard to anti-terrorism.

00:29:58.000 And this is where the United States is putting its anti-focus?

00:30:00.000 This is where they're like, no, no, no, you got to stop short?

00:30:03.000 Why the gap?

00:30:04.000 Why the gap?

00:30:06.000 I mean, it comes from a fundamental misunderstanding of foreign policy is where the gap comes from.

00:30:10.000 Russia is a nuclear armed, heavily weaponized, large power. 0.50

00:30:16.000 They are dug in when it comes to Donbass and the Crimea.

00:30:19.000 There is no rationale for any sort of logic that Ukraine is going to take both those areas.

00:30:26.000 That's absolutely clear.

00:30:27.000 The situation on the ground is the situation on the ground.

00:30:29.000 Meanwhile, the reason that the Biden administration Keeps futzing around with regard to the Middle East is because they are still under the John Kerry misimpression that Palestinians are central to Middle East peace, which is a lie.

00:30:41.000 It was debunked completely by the Abraham Accords.

00:30:44.000 In fact, it is specifically because that notion was exploded by the Abraham Accords and by the burgeoning relationship between Israel and Saudi Arabia that Hamas tried to throw a wrench into the gears with their attack on October 7th.

00:30:58.000 So what is the Biden administration doing?

00:30:59.000 They're immediately doing Hamas's work by calling for concessions from Israel to the Palestinians and telling Israel to stop short. 0.60

00:31:06.000 What is the rationale for that, other than a complete dunder-headed foreign policy?

00:31:12.000 The problem for Biden is it's going to be pretty obvious that if you stop Israel from winning a cohesive military victory in the Gaza Strip, that's not going to look great either.

00:31:19.000 I understand he's trying to please his radical base and Democrats are filled with radicals who hate Israel.

00:31:24.000 I get it.

00:31:25.000 But that's not going to look like a victory to the American people.

00:31:27.000 We're going to punish America.

00:31:29.000 They're going to punish whatever American regime is in place, whatever administration is in place for military losses.

00:31:33.000 Americans don't like lost wars.

00:31:35.000 They're not a big fan.

00:31:36.000 And so far, Joe Biden is presiding over a lost war in Afghanistan.

00:31:40.000 He's presiding over a stalemate that he refuses to declare a stalemate in Ukraine.

00:31:43.000 And he's presiding over what could be a clear military victory for Israel, but is being hamstrung by the American State Department and radicals in the Democratic Party.

00:31:52.000 We'll get to that momentarily.

00:31:54.000 First, The holidays not only allow us to spend time with family, they are a reminder of how important our responsibility is to protect them.

00:34:40.000 Now, speaking of the Israel-Hamas war, this would be a great opportunity for Joe Biden to quote unquote win a victory. 0.60

00:34:46.000 That victory would be Israel completely destroying Hamas, a despised terrorist organization labeled as such by pretty much every Western power.

00:34:54.000 Hamas is... they're absolutely horrific.

00:34:57.000 In fact, every day brings news of more of their atrocities, including the fact that they apparently drugged the hostages they were returning to Israel with roofies. 0.86

00:35:06.000 They literally roofied them.

00:35:07.000 So that they would look as though they were happier or calmer when they were released from hostage captivity back to the Israelis.

00:35:13.000 In fact, the State Department yesterday announced that Hamas is not turning over a bunch of young women who are still hostages because they don't want those young women talking about what they did to them.

00:35:23.000 One of the reasons they don't want to turn women over that they've been holding hostage and the reason this pause fell apart is they don't want those women to be able to talk about what happened to them during their time in custody.

00:35:34.000 Now, one of the things that's been happening inside the administration is a bit of a gap between the State Department, which is shockingly, shockingly pro-Israel in many of these ways, and the Pentagon, which is shockingly pro-Israel, at least John Kirby is, and then some of the higher-ups, the people at the National Security Administration, for example.

00:35:51.000 So, NSA Sullivan was asked about why Hamas was not turning over these women, and he said, we're not going to speculate, which is, you know, completely at odds with what the State Department spokesperson just said there.

00:36:01.000 Why is Hamas refusing to release civilian women?

00:36:05.000 I'm not going to speculate on that, only to say that they haven't done it, and only to say we're gravely concerned about that, but I'm not going to speculate as to their reasoning.

00:36:17.000 Again, one of the things that the administration has been doing is waffling and wavering, which is amazing because when it came to Ukraine, there was no waffling, no wavering, no nothing, despite no actual end of conflict that was projected or expected or articulated.

00:36:33.000 Here, it's pretty obvious what the goal is, and the administration is working to obfuscate that goal.

00:36:38.000 Not only that, the administration is working really hard not to tick off its progressive left-wing base on this issue.

00:36:44.000 And the somehow mistaken belief that in order to win over its left wing, And thus win the presidency, they have to throw Israel under the bus, which of course is ridiculous because by polling data, most Americans are much more supportive of Israel than, for example, Hamas.

00:36:58.000 So if the administration played it the other way, and they said, Hamas has to go, Hamas is evil, Hamas committed mass rape, Hamas committed mass murder, Israel has to go in and do what it has to do, and we're going to worry about what happens on the other end afterward.

00:37:09.000 This is a moral fight.

00:37:10.000 If the administration were to say something like that, in the same way that they say it about Ukraine, that's a victory Israel would actually win. 0.99

00:37:16.000 That's what's truly amazing about this.

00:37:17.000 Meanwhile, you have Karine Jean-Pierre yesterday.

00:37:18.000 She was asked about Pramila Jayapal, who's the head of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

00:37:22.000 You'll recall yesterday we played a clip of her explaining that there needs to be balance with regard to how people talked about rape by Hamas.

00:37:30.000 Sure, Hamas was raping people, but they have to be balanced in how they talk about that so as to establish a moral equivalence between Israel and Hamas.

00:37:36.000 Here is Karine Jean-Pierre refusing to condemn Jayapal on this.

00:37:41.000 Can I get the White House's response to Congresswoman Jayapal's comments over the weekend?

00:37:47.000 In her interview, she said sexual violence should be condemned, but that we have to be balanced in our condemnation.

00:37:52.000 Was that an appropriate comment?

00:37:54.000 So we've been very, very clear.

00:37:56.000 You heard a little bit from Jake Sullivan about this.

00:38:00.000 I can only speak for the President.

00:38:03.000 That's who I can speak for.

00:38:04.000 And we've been clear what Hamas did is absolutely reprehensible and full stop.

00:38:10.000 We're going to continue to be clear about that.

00:38:12.000 And when you think about, you know, rape and the use of rape as being used as a weapon, that is also reprehensible.

00:38:23.000 But why exactly won't they condemn Pramila Jayapal, or for that matter Rashida Tlaib, or for that matter Ilhan Omar?

00:38:29.000 And the answer is because they're afraid of their left-wing base.

00:38:30.000 The left-wing base is still governing this administration, at least at the margins.

00:38:35.000 And that left-wing base is crazy, okay?

00:38:36.000 Breonna Joy Gray, who is kind of a crazy person, she's the former national press secretary for Bernie Sanders, unsurprising, she tweeted this out, quote, Believe all women. 0.99

00:38:45.000 She's talking about the rape of Israeli women. 0.98

00:38:47.000 Believe all women. 0.93

00:38:47.000 It was always an absurd overreach. 0.93

00:38:49.000 Women should be heard. 1.00

00:38:50.000 Claims should be investigated.

00:38:51.000 But evidence is required.

00:38:52.000 The same is true of the allegations out of Israel.

00:38:54.000 But also, this isn't a believe women scenario because no female victims have offered testimony.

00:38:58.000 So, first of all, they were shot in the head.

00:39:03.000 You know who's not around to explain to you about their rape?

00:39:05.000 The people who are dead because they were shot in the head or kidnapped.

00:39:08.000 Those people not around to talk about it.

00:39:10.000 But there are many contemporaneous accounts.

00:39:13.000 Witness testimony.

00:39:15.000 Medical reports.

00:39:17.000 But it doesn't matter.

00:39:17.000 It doesn't matter, because again, the idea from the radical left is to re-establish this moral equivalence, and the Biden administration, for some reason, keeps on falling for it over and over.

00:39:25.000 It's in the Democratic Party, and it's certainly in the media.

00:39:27.000 Bernie Sanders, yesterday, did what he does best to establish that moral equivalence.

00:39:31.000 He suggested that the Netanyahu government is being immoral.

00:39:33.000 Now, you have to understand the coded language here.

00:39:35.000 There's a bit of a code.

00:39:37.000 When people on the left say the Netanyahu government, they are ignoring the fact that there is a unity government in Israel right now.

00:39:43.000 Yes, Benjamin Netanyahu is the prime minister.

00:39:44.000 He is part of a war cabinet.

00:39:46.000 He can be overruled by that war cabinet.

00:39:48.000 He's just a vote in that war cabinet.

00:39:50.000 Benny Gantz is a member of the opposition party.

00:39:52.000 He's the person many Democrats would like to see leading the country right now in Israel.

00:39:58.000 And he's part of the government.

00:39:59.000 That's a unity government.

00:40:00.000 That's why Bernie keeps saying Netanyahu, because there is this bizarre notion on the left that if Netanyahu were not there, somehow this would be going differently.

00:40:07.000 It would not.

00:40:07.000 It would be going exactly the same, or in some ways, probably harsher.

00:40:11.000 Netanyahu tends to be an incrementalist on a lot of this sort of stuff.

00:40:13.000 Gantz and Gallant, not particularly clear that's the case.

00:40:16.000 Anyway, here was Bernie yesterday doing his routine.

00:40:20.000 At a time when over 250 people have been killed in the West Bank.

00:40:26.000 I'm not talking about Gaza.

00:40:27.000 I'm talking about the West Bank since October 7th.

00:40:32.000 And more than a thousand Palestinians have been driven off of their land in the West Bank.

00:40:39.000 No, in the midst of all of that, I do not believe we should be appropriating over $10 billion for the right-wing extremist Netanyahu government to

00:40:52.000 continue its current military approach.

00:40:55.000 What the Netanyahu government is doing is immoral. It is in violation of international law

00:41:05.000 and the United States should not be complicit in those actions.

00:41:11.000 Love hearing about international law from communist fellow travelers. 0.99

00:41:14.000 It's really a lot of fun.

00:41:15.000 And when he talks about what's going on in the West Bank, he's ignoring the fact That there are a ton of terrorists in the West Bank.

00:41:21.000 In fact, it was the amount of terrorism in the West Bank that drove Israel to, prior to October 7th, move many of its forces from the Gaza envelope right around Gaza in the lead up to October 7th into Judea and Samaria to try and fight terrorists in places like Jenin.

00:41:35.000 As far as the accusation that Palestinians are being driven off their land en masse, Uh, no.

00:41:39.000 The answer there is that there are a bunch of illegal Palestinian settlements that are, in fact, kind of corrugated iron shacks in many of these cases, and those are being dismantled by the Israeli military in many cases.

00:41:51.000 It is amazing.

00:41:51.000 If you build an extra bedroom in Afrat, which is like a really nice city in the West Bank, and it's a Jewish city in the West Bank, then this means you're violating international law.

00:41:58.000 If, however, you prop up a corrugated iron shack in Judea and Samaria, and you call it historic Palestinian territory, and then the IDF comes and dismantles it, then this is somehow dispossession.

00:42:07.000 That's the way all of this works.

00:42:08.000 In any case, this narrative is being driven by the media as well.

00:42:11.000 The narrative that Israel is engaging in vast human rights violation despite the fact that they are engaging in more strenuous attempts to avoid civilian casualties than any army in modern history.

00:42:21.000 By the way, worth noting at this point that all the casualty stats that are being repeated ad nauseum by the press are being garnered by the Gaza Ministry of Health, namely Hamas, and they are lying about all of those.

00:42:33.000 This has been pointed out.

00:42:35.000 By an account called Eisenberg55.

00:42:37.000 He's a board member of Honest Reporting.

00:42:40.000 And he points out that the women and children numbers from the Gaza Ministry of Health are grossly inflated and that is perfectly obvious.

00:42:46.000 So for example, UN OCHA publishes a daily flash update since October 8th and cites detailed Gaza casualty figures provided by Hamas.

00:42:55.000 It is immediately obvious that Hamas does not report any combatant deaths.

00:42:58.000 The numbers amazingly seem to indicate that IDF bombs and bullets disproportionately hit women, children, and the elderly.

00:43:04.000 But the numbers are fake.

00:43:05.000 It first becomes apparent on October 19th reporting, where Hamas reports 3,785 deaths versus 3,478 the prior day.

00:43:09.000 Or an addition of 307 deaths.

00:43:10.000 But children magically moved up from 853 dead to 1,524 dead.

00:43:11.000 478 the prior day or an addition of 307 deaths.

00:43:14.000 But children magically moved up from 853 dead to 1524 dead, plus 671.

00:43:22.000 October 18th reporting deaths were 25 percent kids.

00:43:25.000 The next day it jumped to 40% kids.

00:43:28.000 No explanation is given. 0.99

00:43:29.000 And this sort of idiocy marks every single addition of casualties. 0.99

00:43:34.000 Again, it took Israel weeks and weeks to determine who was even dead in Kfar Azza. 0.99

00:43:39.000 I know people who attended funerals literally yesterday for people who were killed on October 7th.

00:43:44.000 And by the way, under Jewish law, once somebody is dead, you're supposed to bury them the next day.

00:43:47.000 That's how long it took Israel, a highly, a highly technical, technocratic government, to figure out how many people had died.

00:43:55.000 Meanwhile, Hamas is just throwing out one million bajillion child poets being killed in Gaza, and everybody taking that at face value.

00:44:02.000 And that, of course, is leading members of the media to repeat that sort of nonsense.

00:44:04.000 We'll get to that in just one second.

00:44:06.000 First, the holidays are here.

00:44:07.000 If you're looking for the perfect gift for somebody you love or even something nice for yourself, you need to check out BondCharge.

00:44:31.000 My favorite product from Bond Charge is their infrared sauna blanket.

00:44:35.000 By the way, it's not just me that loves it.

00:44:38.000 It's not just Brett Cooper that loves it.

00:44:40.000 There's a person named Paige who was over at our house for dinner recently, and she could not stop raving about the Bond Charge Blanket.

00:44:45.000 I mean, really, it was like, it got a little bit much.

00:44:47.000 It's like 15 minutes in, we're like, you're still going on about this Bond Charge?

00:44:49.000 She was, though.

00:44:51.000 The sauna blanket insert is designed to fit inside your sauna blanket to absorb your sweat, help keep you drier, make your post-sweat session cleanup even simpler.

00:44:57.000 It uses infrared light, which heats the body directly, rather than the air around you like a traditional sauna, which means you get the same benefits at a lower heat.

00:45:08.000 Head on over to bondcharge.com and the 25% off code will be auto-applied to your entire order.

00:45:12.000 That's bondcharge.com.

00:45:14.000 Hurry, while it is in stock.

00:45:15.000 And meanwhile, the media doing the bidding of Hamas over and over and over again.

00:45:20.000 So Jake Tapper on CNN, who has been...

00:45:22.000 Better than many of the CNN reporters. 0.95

00:45:24.000 He sporadically has these interviews where he just says silly things.

00:45:27.000 He had an interview with Mark Regev, who is a spokesperson for the Israeli government, in which he points out that a bunch of members of a family of a CNN producer had been killed in Gaza.

00:45:37.000 And Regev points out that there were like weeks and months of Israel telling people to get out of the Gaza Strip, and millions of people did.

00:45:45.000 And Tapper then says, well, you can't blame people who didn't.

00:45:48.000 Well, I mean, you certainly can point out that they had warning and they didn't get out of a war zone when millions of people literally did.

00:45:55.000 Like over a million people moved.

00:45:57.000 Here was this exchange.

00:45:59.000 It's very hard to believe that, especially on a day when one of our producers lost nine members of his family, nine members of his family who are not members of Hamas, not members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, not members of any group, just nine people just trying to live their lives.

00:46:14.000 First of all, I extend my sorrow to him and my sympathies.

00:46:19.000 But if I saw your report correctly, and please correct me if I say something wrong, that happened in northern Gaza, in Gaza City, where a month ago we already asked all the civilians to leave.

00:46:32.000 And most of them did.

00:46:33.000 If there was like 1,200,000 people there, there was only a couple of tens of thousands left.

00:46:39.000 And one has to ask, yes?

00:46:41.000 They had ample opportunity to leave.

00:46:42.000 I don't know what happened.

00:46:43.000 I don't have the specific circumstances.

00:46:45.000 I know there's deadly combat going on now in the north, still between these IDF and Hamas terrorists, yes?

00:46:53.000 And we don't want to see anyone caught up in the crossfire, but why didn't they heed the advice and leave the area?

00:46:57.000 You can't blame them.

00:46:59.000 I don't blame them.

00:47:00.000 But there's fighting in the south now.

00:47:01.000 I mean, I've been asking this since October 7th.

00:47:04.000 Where are these people supposed to go?

00:47:08.000 They did go.

00:47:09.000 They did go.

00:47:09.000 A million of them moved.

00:47:11.000 They're supposed to go to the areas that Israel tells them to go to.

00:47:14.000 Doesn't mean perfect security.

00:47:15.000 It means a hell of a lot better security than staying where Israel's telling you not to be.

00:47:19.000 Again, but CNN's idea, which is that somehow, if Israel gives weeks of warning, then people don't move.

00:47:23.000 That somehow, what exactly was Israel supposed to do?

00:47:26.000 I'm just wondering.

00:47:27.000 Everybody seems to think that Israel has a magic Jew laser.

00:47:29.000 It's amazing. 0.95

00:47:30.000 All the same people who are pissed off at Marjorie Taylor Greene with her silly Jewish space laser stuff seem to think the Jews actually have a space laser in Israel. 0.99

00:47:36.000 And they can use their magic space laser to just hit the bad guys while leaving all of the normies sort of untouched.

00:47:42.000 That is not the way war works and when you go out of your way to tell people to leave for weeks on end and then they don't.

00:47:48.000 It's not that it's, quote-unquote, their fault.

00:47:50.000 It is that they are in a dangerous area.

00:47:52.000 They have been told to leave.

00:47:53.000 ABC News doing the same sort of moral equivalence nonsense.

00:47:55.000 So ABC News did a full report on the supposed maltreatment of Palestinian, quote-unquote, detainees.

00:48:00.000 Now, these detainees are people who tried to commit acts of terror against Israelis.

00:48:05.000 And the idea here is that Israel, it's just like hostages. 0.65

00:48:08.000 No, it isn't.

00:48:10.000 My concern is that the Israeli authorities are not treating Palestinian children like children.

00:48:16.000 I don't think that anybody can claim that locking up large numbers of children for long periods of time is either just or helpful.

00:48:26.000 Beyond that, the law is also different for Palestinians and Israelis.

00:48:30.000 Palestinians living in the West Bank are tried in military courts.

00:48:33.000 Israeli settlers illegally living there are tried in civil court.

00:48:37.000 An Israeli child in a settlement next to a Palestinian village throws a stone.

00:48:42.000 That child is tried under the Israeli system.

00:48:45.000 A Palestinian child in the village next door who throws the same stone is subject to a military court system.

00:48:52.000 Pre-trial detention is the norm.

00:48:54.000 Well, hold up a second.

00:48:55.000 That's because the Palestinians are living under the Palestinian Authority.

00:48:59.000 They're a foreign population in terms of actual governance.

00:49:03.000 That is like saying that when a crime is committed against an American soldier overseas, that person is tried in military court as opposed to an American civil court.

00:49:11.000 Well, yes, that's yes.

00:49:14.000 But again, the whole goal here is to try and generate some sort of moral equivalence between Israel and its enemies here.

00:49:19.000 And this is the whole shtick.

00:49:21.000 Here's the bottom line for Joe Biden.

00:49:24.000 The entire confused moral line taken by Joe Biden is likely to result in no victory for Joe Biden.

00:49:30.000 Because even if Israel gets done what it needs to do in the face of American pressure, the Biden administration is now making it impossible for it to claim any sort of victory in all of this.

00:49:38.000 Speaking of which, victory in the generalized area seems to be difficult to come by for a U.S.

00:49:44.000 administration that is focused on basically appeasing Iran.

00:49:47.000 According to Politico, An hours-long firefight involving U.S.

00:49:51.000 commercial vessels in the Red Sea this weekend has left some U.S.

00:49:54.000 officials frustrated by what they see as the Biden administration's deliberate downplaying of a major threat to American forces.

00:50:00.000 A U.S. 0.66

00:50:00.000 Navy warship scrambled to respond to multiple distress calls on Sunday as Houthi rebels in Yemen launched missiles and drones against three separate commercial vehicles. 0.66

00:50:07.000 The USS Kearney fired back, taking down three unmanned aerial systems.

00:50:12.000 Four other officials with knowledge of the discussion said in interviews, U.S.

00:50:15.000 naval forces are clearly under threat in the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf.

00:50:18.000 One DoD official said, quote, if our ships see something is coming near them or toward them, they're going to assess it as a threat and shoot it down.

00:50:24.000 You'd be hard pressed to find another time that U.S.

00:50:26.000 ships have been this challenged in the region.

00:50:29.000 And yet, again, U.S.

00:50:31.000 officials are downplaying this and pretending that it is not Iran or it is not part of a broader effort against U.S.

00:50:36.000 forces.

00:50:38.000 Some DoD officials have said explicitly the increase in attacks on commercial shipping is an escalation.

00:50:44.000 The U.S.

00:50:44.000 has retaliated against dozens of attacks by Iranian proxies in Iraq or Syria in recent weeks, including striking facilities used by the militants in both of those countries in Iraq and Syria.

00:50:54.000 But, you know what the United States is not doing?

00:50:56.000 It's striking any targets inside Iran where this is coming from.

00:50:58.000 Now, let me just point out, if Donald Trump were president right now, there would have been a missile flying into Iran already.

00:51:02.000 Not because Donald Trump would want to provoke some sort of broader war with Iran, but because the threat to the Iranians would be clear. 0.97

00:51:08.000 Stop this right now.

00:51:10.000 Stop it right now.

00:51:11.000 And you know what would happen?

00:51:12.000 The Iranians would stop. 1.00

00:51:13.000 Because you know what they don't actually want?

00:51:15.000 To be at war with the United States of America.
