The Ben Shapiro Show - Ep. 41 - Why Is Carly Fiorina Eating Dog Food? Donald Trump

00:00:01.000 The big Republican debate is tonight, we'll talk about that.

00:00:03.000 Plus, the entire Los Angeles Unified School District gets shut down, and another holiday episode of Things I Hate, Stuff I Hate, and it does have a lot of stuff that I hate in it, jam-packed full of stuff I hate, actually.

00:00:16.000 I'm Ben Shapiro, this is The Ben Shapiro Show.

00:00:25.000 Alrighty, so, here we are, and it is a Tuesday, and the entire Los Angeles Unified School District was shut down for the day.

00:00:32.000 640,000 kids out of school, freaking their parents out by being home.

00:00:36.000 The parents can't be absentee parents and let their kids just go to the public school and on the taxpayer dime.

00:00:41.000 They actually have to take care of their kids, which of course means the entire city shuts down, because without government-paid employees to take care of our kids, what are we gonna do around here?

00:00:49.000 900 schools were shut down.

00:00:51.000 All of this based on an email threat and there's been a bit of a firefight between the mayor, well actually the head of the LAPD and the head of the NYPD.

00:01:01.000 It's actually relatively entertaining.

00:01:03.000 Apparently the head of the NYPD, his name is Bill Bratton, he says that he doesn't understand why LAPD shut down LAUSD.

00:01:10.000 He said we got exactly the same email threat and apparently

00:01:13.000 It was routed through Germany, like a German IP address, which goes to show you that it's possible that there are terrorists in the West, gang.

00:01:20.000 We might want to watch out for this thing.

00:01:22.000 But Bill Bratton says, we've seen stuff like this before.

00:01:24.000 This was no big deal.

00:01:25.000 I don't understand why all these crazy people in LA are shutting down their entire school district over it.

00:01:30.000 It's the second biggest school district in the nation after New York's.

00:01:33.000 William Bratton said, I think the initiator, the instigator of the threat may be a Homeland fan, basically watching Homeland episodes that it mirrors a lot of recent episodes on Homeland.

00:01:42.000 Okay.

00:02:03.000 Apparently the warning contained warnings about backpacks being used as bombs.

00:02:07.000 Well, good luck looking for backpacks in 900 public schools.

00:02:10.000 I have a feeling that it may be a couple of days before they reopen the schools just to make everybody look good.

00:02:15.000 The truth is the kids are learning more not being in LAUSD, the crappiest school district in America, so...

00:02:20.000 As a graduate of LAUSD, I can safely say the kids are learning more today being home and playing Grand Theft Auto than they were in their classes at Los Angeles Unified School District.

00:02:29.000 But it does raise questions as to how we deal with terror, how seriously we take terror.

00:02:34.000 And what the solutions should be.

00:02:35.000 I was talking with Lindsay, who does the makeup around here.

00:02:39.000 And before the show, she said that she thinks that it's silly to send all the kids home.

00:02:42.000 We should use the stand-by-me strategy.

00:02:45.000 To which I said, we should send them out into the woods to look for a dead body.

00:02:48.000 And then she said, no, no, no.

00:02:49.000 The lean-on-me strategy.

00:02:51.000 Completely different movie.

00:02:53.000 With Morgan Freeman, apparently he locks the kids in the school to protect them from gang violence.

00:02:58.000 The reason that they don't do that, obviously, is because then there's legal liability if something actually does go wrong.

00:03:03.000 But it is amusing to watch the city officials run around like chickens with their heads cut off because they've never had to do any sort of security planning before.

00:03:10.000 The United States is not ready for any sort of serious terror assault.

00:03:14.000 It's not.

00:03:15.000 In Israel, they have armed guards at every school.

00:03:17.000 Virtually all of the people of military age are carrying around guns in Israel on a fairly regular basis.

00:03:23.000 And so Israel is prepared for this sort of thing, and when they aren't, there's a school massacre.

00:03:26.000 There was one about 10 years ago, and Israel really upped its game in terms of school security since then, where I went to school in Los Angeles at a place called Yeshiva University of L.A., or now it's called Yeshiva of L.A.

00:03:36.000 It's a Jewish day school, and we had our school evacuated multiple times, but we had layers of security at the school with armed guards, and I never felt unsafe at the school, even though, as I say, at least a couple of times a semester, we'd have to evacuate to a nearby parking lot because of a phoned-in bomb threat.

00:03:52.000 By the way, just a note.

00:03:53.000 Anybody who phones in a bomb threat isn't an actual bomber.

00:03:56.000 This is not what bombers do.

00:03:57.000 Bombers want to kill people.

00:03:59.000 Now, they might phone in the bomb threat to freak you out.

00:04:01.000 They might phone in the bomb threat in order to make you do things like evacuate hundreds of thousands of people.

00:04:08.000 ISIS today is apparently chortling over this whole thing. 1.00

00:04:10.000 It's like, look at these idiots. 1.00

00:04:11.000 We send them a Nigerian Prince email and all of a sudden they're evacuating 700,000 people from Los Angeles. 1.00

00:04:17.000 But it is telling that we are so ill-prepared for all of this.

00:04:22.000 Is it an overreaction to shut down all of the schools?

00:04:24.000 I haven't seen the email, so I don't know.

00:04:26.000 I haven't seen all the evidence, so I don't know.

00:04:28.000 It seems like it probably would be if the head of the NYPD is saying, we got the same email, we didn't shut down anything, everything's fine, then I'm gonna go with it's probably an overreaction, but again, it just shows once and for all that we cannot trust our politicians.

00:04:41.000 We can't trust our politicians to keep us safe.

00:04:43.000 All the people who say that we're safe, they're lying as I said yesterday.

00:04:47.000 These are people who live in a world of fantasy and they live to make themselves feel good.

00:04:51.000 Now the other day I was driving home and I pulled into my front yard and my front yard has a gate, has an automatic gate.

00:04:58.000 So I pull into the front yard of my house and as the gate opens a couple of guys actually followed me into the front yard which was

00:05:06.000 We're good to go.

00:05:21.000 We're good to go. 0.99

00:05:44.000 But the point of this story is that I'm an idiot, and if I were running American security, and people like me were running American security, we'd be in trouble. 0.99

00:05:52.000 People like me are running American security, except they're less paranoid than I am. 1.00

00:05:56.000 So that's really how stupid American security is. 0.99

00:05:59.000 So, should we be worried about terror threats? 1.00

00:06:01.000 Yes.

00:06:01.000 Should we be worried more that our authorities are really, really terrible at monitoring these terror threats?

00:06:06.000 Yes.

00:06:07.000 Okay.

00:06:07.000 Well, meanwhile, tonight's big debate is starring Donald Trump.

00:06:10.000 This entire campaign has starred Donald Trump.

00:06:13.000 Donald Trump is the center of all gravity in the universe.

00:06:16.000 And what's amusing to me is that all the things that Donald Trump thinks he is, right?

00:06:20.000 Basically, Donald Trump tonight, just preliminary note, Donald Trump tonight does not have to do anything special.

00:06:26.000 Donald Trump in the past debates hasn't done anything special.

00:06:28.000 If he is just Donald Trump, he'll do fine.

00:06:30.000 In fact, if Donald Trump were to drop his pants and take a dump on the middle of the stage, as Lindsay says, a Trump dump on the middle of the stage, then he would probably jump 15 points in the polls.

00:06:41.000 In fact, it would be the most huge, most fantastic, most magnificent gold-plated dump you have ever seen.

00:06:46.000 And it would probably jack him up in the polls.

00:06:48.000 But what's amazing is that Trump considers himself this sort of godlike figure.

00:06:53.000 He's omniscient, he's omnipotent, he knows everything that happens around him.

00:06:56.000 He's not just

00:06:58.000 Not a racist.

00:06:58.000 He's the most not racist person you've ever met.

00:07:00.000 He's not just healthy.

00:07:01.000 He's the most healthy person in human history, as his doctor said yesterday.

00:07:04.000 His doctor, by the way, who bears a striking resemblance to Mickey Rourke, which is bizarre.

00:07:10.000 But Trump, everything Trump does is the greatest and the best and the biggest and etc, etc.

00:07:14.000 The media apparently have now granted to Trump these godlike powers for purposes of ascribing to him everything bad that happens around him.

00:07:22.000 So, the media are constantly saying about Barack Obama that the right is constantly complaining about things Obama can't control, even though we're really complaining about things Obama certainly can control.

00:07:31.000 Like, I'm not going to blame Obama for civil war in Syria, but I am going to blame Obama for ISIS rising in Iraq, since we pulled 10,000 troops out of Iraq, right?

00:07:39.000 I mean, there's certain things that you can blame Obama for.

00:07:41.000 There's certain things it's a little tougher to blame Obama for.

00:07:44.000 And they say, well, don't treat Obama like God.

00:07:46.000 He's not God.

00:07:47.000 Right, he's not God.

00:07:47.000 He's a very, very powerful man.

00:07:48.000 Donald Trump isn't even a very powerful man on the world stage, right?

00:07:51.000 Donald Trump is a very rich guy, but he doesn't wield any power.

00:07:54.000 He's not a governmental actor.

00:07:56.000 He's not president of the United States. 0.91

00:07:58.000 Nonetheless, the media, because they are so desperate to paint him as a racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe, they're so desperate to paint him as the world's worst human, they're gonna find anyone that he's mildly associated with and then call him 0.93

00:08:11.000 Into question for that association. 0.91

00:08:12.000 So Barack Obama can sit in Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years while Jeremiah Wright screams, G-G-D-America.

00:08:18.000 Right?

00:08:18.000 America K-K-K-A.

00:08:20.000 Chickens coming home to roost on 9-11.

00:08:22.000 That has nothing to do with Obama. 0.98

00:08:24.000 But, for example, if Donald Trump is endorsed by some white supremacists out in the middle of nowhere, it must be because Donald Trump is a white supremacist.

00:08:30.000 Well, the latest iteration of this is that Donald Trump held a rally last night in Las Vegas before the big event, and thousands of people showed up because

00:08:38.000 I mean, it's spectacle, folks.

00:08:39.000 I mean, Donald Trump basically is Vegas.

00:08:42.000 And if you just think of Donald Trump as Vegas, then all of this makes perfect sense.

00:08:45.000 For people who think that Vegas is the best place in the United States, it's non-stop fun, it's capitalism, it's gambling, it's risk, it's sex, it's booze, if that's what you think America is, Donald Trump is your guy.

00:08:57.000 If you think America is an old-fashioned values place where we have a small government that's filled in by social organizations like the church and like your family, then Donald Trump probably isn't your guy.

00:09:06.000 But in any case, Donald Trump is out in Las Vegas and he's doing a rally and some of his supporters are going crazy and we don't even know that these people are all Trump supporters because a lot of trolls show up to Trump's rallies to make trouble.

00:09:19.000 The left has realized that the media are looking for people to feature

00:09:23.000 And so they've started coming and trying to gum up the works at right-wing rallies.

00:09:27.000 They used to do this with the Tea Party.

00:09:28.000 They'd showed up with Nazi flags at Tea Party rallies, trying to make it look like Tea Partiers were Nazis.

00:09:33.000 They tried to claim, if you remember, back when Obamacare was passing, they tried to claim the Tea Partiers were shouting the N-word to people.

00:09:39.000 They weren't.

00:09:39.000 There's no evidence that ever happened.

00:09:41.000 Andrew Breitbart offered $100,000 for any documented evidence that that ever happened.

00:09:45.000 And of course, the left could come up with nothing in the age of ubiquitous cell phone coverage.

00:09:50.000 But this is what they do.

00:09:51.000 So anyway, some people show up.

00:09:53.000 And there are some people in the audience who start yelling at Trump, and the audience gets rowdy with them.

00:09:58.000 And we'll show you some tape of a couple of things that went down here, and then we'll talk about the media coverage of this, because it really is absurd.

00:10:05.000 Trump repeatedly interrupted by protesters who were escorted out by security.

00:10:09.000 Trump supporters lashing out at one of the hecklers, screaming profanities.

00:10:13.000 One man even yelling a Nazi salute.

00:10:18.000 Okay, so this is what you get from NBC News, right?

00:10:22.000 The supporters shouting Sieg Heil.

00:10:23.000 Okay, first of all, it's off-camera.

00:10:25.000 We have no clue who the guy is.

00:10:27.000 It's just possible that it's a leftist who's there watching the supporters surrounding that black guy who's screaming at Trump and ironically yelling Sieg Heil, right? 0.98

00:10:35.000 Like, oh, look at those Nazis over there! 0.97

00:10:37.000 Sieg Heil, right?

00:10:38.000 Which, by the way, would fit in really well with how leftists treat right-wing rallies.

00:10:44.000 And this is how the left has always done this.

00:10:45.000 Remember, the left tried to paint the world... During the government shutdown, there was a rally outside the White House.

00:10:51.000 There was one guy who showed up with a confederate flag, and this was the end of the world.

00:10:53.000 You have 10,000 people there, one guy with a confederate flag, media hone in on the guy with the confederate flag.

00:10:59.000 Well, there's another video of Trump supporters yelling at protesters, and it got rowdy in the crowd again, and here's that video.

00:11:06.000 Do you want to hear some noise over there yelling or something?

00:11:28.000 Okay, and so they're being escorted out by security, and apparently people were shouting profanities at them.

00:11:33.000 Okay, so what?

00:11:35.000 Well, the so what is that the entire media have declared that Donald Trump is now a Nazi.

00:11:38.000 Of course, because we've been hearing this now for weeks, right? 0.85

00:11:40.000 Donald Trump is Hitler, and you can tell because his supporters are Hitlerian. 0.84

00:11:44.000 Now, I don't know how many of these people actually ever watched a Hitler rally or what that looks like.

00:11:48.000 I don't see these people in uniforms.

00:11:49.000 I don't see them goose-stepping.

00:11:50.000 I don't see them doing a salute.

00:11:52.000 I don't see them physically beating all of the people who are there watching of the left.

00:11:58.000 Those are security members who are taking people out.

00:12:00.000 I don't see the mass crowd of them doing it.

00:12:01.000 I see a couple of people getting involved in scuffles, which is not unusual in major crowd situations.

00:12:07.000 It actually happens fairly frequently.

00:12:08.000 I've been at rallies before.

00:12:10.000 I've been at Occupy rallies.

00:12:11.000 This sort of thing happened.

00:12:12.000 I've been at Affirmative Action rallies where this sort of thing happened.

00:12:15.000 I've been pushed around by ralliers.

00:12:16.000 This sort of thing has happened.

00:12:17.000 I was at an anti-Israel rally one time.

00:12:20.000 I brought a poster and I was roughed up by the people who were there.

00:12:23.000 This sort of thing happens at rallies. 0.97

00:12:25.000 But the media are now claiming that this is because Donald Trump is evil and he's terrible and he's a Nazi and it just shows you Donald Trump is this kind of guy. 0.96

00:12:33.000 What's amazing about all of this is that the left has been pushing exactly this kind of rhetoric. 0.96

00:12:38.000 They say, well, Trump is there, and apparently during the rally he said something like, we should have been acting this way for seven years of Obama, basically.

00:12:44.000 Like, we should have been fighting back against Obama.

00:12:46.000 And they take this as, Trump is saying that we should beat people up who disagree.

00:12:50.000 Actually, the only person I know of who said we should beat people up who disagree is Barack Obama in 2009, or 2008, during a rally in Philadelphia.

00:12:57.000 He actually said that his supporters should bring a gun to a knife fight,

00:13:01.000 And he specifically said that people in Philly like to brawl.

00:13:03.000 Barack Obama said that.

00:13:05.000 And I seem to remember back in 2008 that there was a guy named Russ Carnahan who was running, I believe he was running for Senate at the time, in Missouri.

00:13:12.000 And there was a black guy named Kenneth Gladney who was a tea partier who showed up to one of his rallies.

00:13:17.000 And we have tape of what happened to Kenneth Gladney at the SEIU rally.

00:13:22.000 It got ugly.

00:13:25.000 We're good to go.

00:13:41.000 That's right, so you got the SEIU guys, those are the guys in the purple shirts, union guys, and it's hard to see there a little bit, but the guy on the ground is Kenneth Gladney, a black guy, and they're beating him up a little bit, and I don't seem to remember a national outcry from the left over that, or attribution of that to Russ Carnahan's campaign, or to the SEIU, or to President Obama, who is the SEIU's presidential candidate.

00:13:59.000 I don't remember any of that.

00:14:00.000 But remember folks, the real threat to you, the real threat to you isn't the left, it isn't ISIS, the real threat to you is Donald Trump. 0.99

00:14:07.000 Again, I'm not a Trump supporter, but this overheated crap where Donald Trump is a Nazi and Donald Trump is responsible for all the evils in the world, 0.98

00:14:16.000 It really is quite despicable and it ties in with a broader attempt by the left to paint the right as universally dangerous. 1.00

00:14:22.000 Right-wingers are universally dangerous. 0.97

00:14:23.000 Conservatives are totally dangerous.

00:14:25.000 They're the people that we truly have to fear.

00:14:27.000 And this goes all the way up to the highest levels.

00:14:29.000 Josh Earnest over at the White House says Donald Trump's hateful rhetoric endangers the United States.

00:14:35.000 From Secretary Kerry to Secretary Johnson and others, including national security experts who served in the previous administration.

00:14:45.000 have observed that the kind of offensive, hateful, divisive rhetoric that we've seen from a handful of Republican candidates for president is damaging and dangerous.

00:14:59.000 It's dangerous.

00:14:59.000 It's not just wrong, it's dangerous.

00:15:01.000 So when Barack Obama has spent the last seven years of his presidency ripping on cops, that's not dangerous.

00:15:07.000 When Barack Obama has spent the last seven years of his presidency ripping on the rich, that's not dangerous in any way.

00:15:12.000 When he said he wanted to put his boot on the throat of British Petroleum, that wasn't dangerous in any way.

00:15:17.000 When Barack Obama tried to claim that right-wingers were responsible

00:15:20.000 For the shooting of Gabby Giffords over in Arizona.

00:15:24.000 That wasn't dangerous.

00:15:25.000 None of that's dangerous.

00:15:26.000 The only thing that really is dangerous is Donald Trump's hateful rhetoric.

00:15:29.000 First of all, I've heard this argument a bunch of times and I'm getting tired of it from the left.

00:15:33.000 That Donald Trump, by being mean to Muslims, is somehow making it easier for ISIS to recruit.

00:15:39.000 If somebody was on the borderline of being recruited by ISIS, I have a better solution than trying to change their mind. 0.99

00:15:43.000 It's called kill them. 0.97

00:15:44.000 Seriously, if you're gonna be recruited to ISIS, and we can wait until you're recruited to ISIS, but the minute that you send a message to ISIS saying, I'm with you, I'm with you, 0.99

00:15:54.000 I'm pretty okay if you're not an American citizen with us taking you out. 1.00

00:15:58.000 Because if you're with ISIS, like, no matter what the left says, I'm not the guy who's going to get up and say, okay, let's start a rally and go kill random leftists, right? 0.93

00:16:07.000 I'm a civilized human being. 0.99

00:16:08.000 I'm not the person who's gonna go out there and say, okay, now it's time for me to join a group and we're gonna run roughshod through the streets of West Hollywood murdering all the gays. 0.97

00:16:14.000 Like, this is not something that has ever occurred to me because I'm a sane and rational human being.

00:16:18.000 But if you ha- but the argument seems to be

00:16:20.000 I really don't.

00:16:21.000 I have much more interest in keeping you out of my country, which the Obama administration won't do.

00:16:36.000 The Obama administration won't check your Facebook messages.

00:16:38.000 They're like me with my front gate.

00:16:40.000 They'll just let you through, and then assume that you have the best of intentions, even while you're scoping out the grounds.

00:16:44.000 Right? 1.00

00:16:45.000 It's my house, and it's my idiocy. 0.97

00:16:47.000 I have a full camera system at my house, and I also have a gun inside the house, so if things have gone bad, then there would have been some solutions available. 0.97

00:16:53.000 But, that ain't true with the federal government, which is why we just shut down a school district full of 700,000 kids over an email threat.

00:17:00.000 Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton is doing the same thing. 1.00

00:17:02.000 Hillary Clinton, she says that all of these words from Donald Trump, they're stoking fears about Muslims, and that's the real threat to the United States today.

00:17:10.000 We are hearing all kinds of anti-immigrant sentiment in the news right now. 0.79

00:17:18.000 Candidates for president are calling immigrants drug runners and rapists.

00:17:24.000 They promise, if elected, to round up and deport millions of people, build a mammoth wall, militarize the border, tear families apart.

00:17:36.000 And after the terrorist shootings in San Bernardino at a time when a lot of Americans are fearful about future attacks here at home, some candidates are even stoking those fears more

00:17:49.000 And turning people against Muslim Americans, saying some really hateful, hurtful things.

00:17:58.000 Oh well, it was the hateful, hurtful things that turned people against Muslim Americans, not two Muslim Americans shooting 14 people in the middle of San Bernardino. 0.95

00:18:05.000 You see how that works? 0.79

00:18:06.000 It wasn't the actual shootings that made people wary of radical Muslims in the United States.

00:18:10.000 It was Donald Trump saying something about the shootings.

00:18:13.000 And by the way, I love that Hillary Clinton

00:18:15.000 Poses this as though there are no drug runners who come across the border again.

00:18:20.000 I'm very pro-immigration I'm actually pretty libertarian on the issue of immigration.

00:18:23.000 I don't believe in the welfare state I believe that if you get rid of the welfare state whoever wants to come here that we can check In security fashion can come here and work for whatever job.

00:18:31.000 I don't care.

00:18:31.000 I don't believe in minimum wage I don't believe in

00:18:33.000 I don't believe in mandatory American numbers of jobs.

00:18:36.000 I don't believe in any of that stuff.

00:18:37.000 I believe in complete free markets, because I think the free market is wonderful.

00:18:41.000 There is one area, however, in which I demur, and that is when it comes to national security.

00:18:46.000 Hillary Clinton believes in all of the regulations I just talked about, but not national security.

00:18:50.000 So she is precisely the reverse.

00:18:52.000 She actually wants to restrict immigration in the sense that she wants them not to compete and drive down wages, but she doesn't want to restrict immigration when it comes to security.

00:19:01.000 And then she says that Donald Trump is the real flamethrower when it comes to this whole scenario.

00:19:07.000 Hillary Clinton's words are going to incentivize more terrorists to cross the border than Donald Trump's, that I can tell you. 0.98

00:19:13.000 More terrorists are going to try to cross the border under a Hillary Clinton presidency than under a Donald Trump presidency. 0.92

00:19:18.000 And here's the thing about all of this.

00:19:19.000 If anybody thinks this is undermining Trump, they're totally wrong.

00:19:22.000 Trump is getting stronger because of all of this.

00:19:24.000 Trump said the other day, Look, I'm the universal magnet for attack.

00:19:28.000 They're all coming after me.

00:19:29.000 And it's true. 0.56

00:19:31.000 Now, some of the attacks are justified.

00:19:33.000 Some of the attacks are real, and some of them ought to be taken seriously.

00:19:36.000 But because nobody ever gives Trump any credit, on the right or the left, because they sort of throw the baby out with the bathwater,

00:19:43.000 All of Trump's supporters immediately resonate to him and they say, well, the reason they're attacking him so much is because they hate him.

00:19:48.000 Not because he's wrong, but because he's Trump.

00:19:50.000 And so Trump wins again.

00:19:52.000 And here's the thing, folks.

00:19:54.000 Here's the thing.

00:19:55.000 I am not so sure.

00:19:56.000 I know there are a lot of people in the Republican Party who think that if Trump gets the nomination, no shot that he wins the presidency.

00:20:01.000 I'm not so sure that's true.

00:20:03.000 And believe me, I'm not itching for a Donald Trump presidency.

00:20:08.000 I think that there are a lot of Republicans who would make better presidents than Donald Trump.

00:20:11.000 I think Trump sort of pulls his policy out of his colon. 0.98

00:20:14.000 But the one thing about Donald Trump that I will say is that when it comes to a fight with Hillary, Donald Trump is a dirty fighter and he will take the kitchen sink and he will hit her with it. 0.95

00:20:25.000 For example, here's what Donald Trump had to say about Hillary Clinton after Hillary called him dangerous. 0.92

00:20:29.000 Here was Donald Trump's response.

00:20:31.000 Yes, and I think I'm going to do great with women. 1.00

00:20:33.000 And one of the reasons I'm going to do great with women is that I'm a leader. 0.79

00:20:36.000 I'm not like Hillary Clinton.

00:20:37.000 She's got no strength.

00:20:39.000 She's got no stamina. 1.00

00:20:40.000 Everything she does is, like, theatrical.

00:20:43.000 Oh, Donald Trump said this.

00:20:46.000 He actually, it's sort of interesting.

00:20:48.000 She said, I watched her last night, Donald Trump, looks like she practices in front of a mirror for two hours, Donald Trump said, I think he's dangerous.

00:20:56.000 I'm dangerous.

00:20:58.000 She's the one that caused all this problem. 1.00

00:21:00.000 With her stupid policies. 1.00

00:21:02.000 You look at what she did with Libya. 1.00

00:21:04.000 What she did with Syria.

00:21:06.000 Look at Egypt. 0.84

00:21:07.000 What happened with Egypt. 0.75

00:21:09.000 A total mess.

00:21:09.000 They don't back... We don't back any of our allies.

00:21:12.000 You look... She was truly, if not the, one of the worst Secretary of States in the history of the country. 0.64

00:21:19.000 She talks about me being dangerous. 1.00

00:21:21.000 She's killed hundreds of thousands of people with her stupidity. 1.00

00:21:25.000 What do you mean she's killed hundreds of thousands? 1.00

00:21:27.000 She was Secretary of State.

00:21:29.000 Obama was President.

00:21:31.000 The team.

00:21:33.000 Two real geniuses.

00:21:35.000 Of course.

00:21:36.000 Look at what happened.

00:21:37.000 The Middle East is a total disaster under her.

00:21:40.000 She traveled back and forth.

00:21:42.000 But look at all the problems.

00:21:44.000 Look at

00:21:45.000 As an example, Iraq.

00:21:47.000 Total disaster.

00:21:49.000 They didn't get us in, but they got us out badly.

00:21:51.000 Okay?

00:21:52.000 Total.

00:21:52.000 We spent two trillion dollars, thousands of lives, wounded warriors all over.

00:21:57.000 Look at Libya. 0.68

00:21:58.000 Look at Benghazi, our ambassador. 0.72

00:22:01.000 He wired her five or six hundred times, asking for help.

00:22:05.000 She'll take her friend's call every time.

00:22:08.000 Hillary Clinton doesn't have the judgment. 0.99

00:22:11.000 She doesn't have the strength or the stamina. 0.99

00:22:14.000 Okay, so here's the thing about Trump, right?

00:22:20.000 Everything that he's saying there is basically true.

00:22:23.000 And if Trump drops bombs like that, it's gonna put her on the defensive. 1.00

00:22:26.000 And the media, because the media will say, well, no, no, no, she didn't kill hundreds of thousands of people, and he'll say, okay, give me the numbers as to how many people have died while she was Secretary of State.

00:22:34.000 And it is, in fact, tens of thousands of people, maybe hundreds of thousands, who have died in Syria.

00:22:38.000 It's tens of thousands of people who have died in Iraq.

00:22:40.000 It's certainly tens of thousands of people who have died in Libya.

00:22:43.000 And a lot of this is attributable to her foreign policy.

00:22:46.000 So all of the talk about Trump can't win, I'm not sure that I completely buy that.

00:22:49.000 Do I want Trump to be the nominee?

00:22:50.000 No.

00:22:51.000 Do I think that Trump actually might have a shot at beating her? 0.85

00:22:53.000 Yeah, because he's a wild puncher.

00:22:56.000 All the things that people despise about him, that's what makes him effective as a politician, because you don't know where the next punch is coming from.

00:23:02.000 It could come from left field, it could come from his knees, you just don't know.

00:23:05.000 He's not a good fighter, but he's an unpredictable fighter, and an unpredictable fighter against a highly clinical strategist like Hillary Clinton

00:23:13.000 I don't know.

00:23:14.000 I just said that he needs to apologize.

00:23:37.000 He's still ahead of the polls, and he deserves a chance.

00:23:39.000 If they don't like him, he shouldn't vote for him, but they appear to like him.

00:23:44.000 I don't know, son.

00:23:44.000 Huh?

00:23:45.000 I mean, listen.

00:23:46.000 Anybody that was ever president of the United States offended some group of people.

00:23:50.000 Some group of people are offended.

00:24:00.000 Okay, and his fans are staying by him.

00:24:03.000 I said his fans are staying by him.

00:24:05.000 His supporters.

00:24:18.000 It's hard to hear what he's saying there, but he's talking up Trump while the guy from TMZ is talking to him.

00:24:23.000 And here's the thing.

00:24:24.000 People underestimate the power of celebrity.

00:24:25.000 Donald Trump is only at the top of this race because he's a celebrity. 0.91

00:24:36.000 He's saying things that a lot of people agree with, but if he weren't a celebrity, people would have dismissed him as a kind of clownish buffoon long ago.

00:24:44.000 And the power of celebrity eats everything, okay?

00:24:46.000 And this is the lesson for politics for today.

00:24:49.000 Celebrity defeats all.

00:24:51.000 Celebrity is all that matters.

00:24:53.000 And how can we tell?

00:24:54.000 Because today, Carly Fiorina basically ended her campaign in a crazy desire to gain celebrity. 1.00

00:25:00.000 She did a video for IJ Review about how much she likes dogs.

00:25:06.000 And you're about to see, in real time, Carly Fiorina end her campaign because she is desperate to glom on to the sort of celebrity culture that Barack Obama and Bill Clinton and Donald Trump have created for us. 0.96

00:25:17.000 Here's Carly Fiorina. 1.00

00:25:19.000 We're losing this one.

00:25:20.000 I always used to eat milk bones as a kid.

00:25:22.000 I thought they were very good.

00:25:24.000 Here.

00:25:27.000 Come here.

00:25:28.000 Dogs never tell me to smile more.

00:25:30.000 You are the only dog in your world, huh?

00:25:34.000 I think I could use you all for debate prep. 0.98

00:25:37.000 You could be Donald Trump.

00:25:40.000 Look at that face.

00:25:44.000 Oh no.

00:25:47.000 Or no.

00:25:50.000 Carly Fiorina is a very serious woman doing very unserious things on camera. 1.00

00:25:54.000 Biting into milk bones and eating dog food.

00:25:57.000 And then talking to her small dogs as though they are Donald Trump.

00:26:00.000 It's Donald Trump's world, folks.

00:26:02.000 And we're all just living in it.

00:26:05.000 And meanwhile, ISIS continues to gain, and the Democrats continue to claim that Donald Trump is the real threat to world peace.

00:26:11.000 Donald Trump created this sort of culture.

00:26:14.000 That's not the real threat to world peace.

00:26:15.000 The real threat to world peace is people like Barack Obama who actually believe that the celebrity culture is an affirmative good.

00:26:21.000 Who believe that the celebrity culture is something that should be taken super seriously.

00:26:26.000 We've all been infected with it now, but it's a little bit sick making.

00:26:30.000 That's the only way to put it.

00:26:32.000 Time for some things that I hate.

00:26:34.000 So first, something that I like.

00:26:35.000 I was asked my favorite movies the other day, and I like a lot of the same movies other people like.

00:26:40.000 I like, you know, obviously Lord of the Rings is a fantastic movie.

00:26:43.000 I love the Batman trilogy.

00:26:44.000 But a movie from the 80s that has been somewhat forgotten recently, which is silly because it's a phenomenal movie.

00:26:49.000 It won Best Picture, I believe, in 1984, Amadeus, which is a fantastic movie.

00:26:53.000 If you haven't seen Amadeus, go out and rent it tonight.

00:26:56.000 Mainly because it has nothing to do... it's completely ahistorical.

00:26:59.000 I mean, the history of it makes no sense.

00:27:01.000 Salieri, who's posed as kind of the counter to Mozart, he's a guy who's a mediocrity but wants to be a genius, and he's very devoted to God, and Mozart is profane, but...

00:27:12.000 I don't know.

00:27:27.000 God and talent is really, and what your role in the world is, is really spectacular.

00:27:32.000 The idea being that sometimes you just have to accept your role in the world as opposed to trying to fight for things that don't exist.

00:27:39.000 It's actually a pretty right-wing movie in that sense.

00:27:42.000 It's based on a play by Peter Schafer.

00:27:43.000 The movie's actually better than the play, so check out Amadeus.

00:27:47.000 Okay, so now let's talk about a few things that I hate.

00:27:51.000 So, yesterday I'm on Twitter, and as I'm browsing Twitter, as I always do,

00:27:56.000 A tweet comes up from Kim Kardashian.

00:27:59.000 Now, I do not follow Kim Kardashian.

00:28:01.000 Someone had retweeted Kim Kardashian, and Kim Kardashian had tweeted, she had tweeted about her placenta.

00:28:09.000 And what she tweeted is that she was going to eat her placenta now.

00:28:14.000 And she tweeted about how this was going to help her get over her postpartum depression.

00:28:19.000 Uh, and how this is going to help her, uh, get over her lack of iron in her diet, I guess. 0.98

00:28:27.000 And so she tweets this out, and it's covered widely, Kim Kardashian eating her placenta.

00:28:32.000 For people who don't know biology, when you have a baby, you have a placenta.

00:28:35.000 The placenta is basically a big sack of blood, basically, that provides a lot of the blood nutrients for your child. 0.65

00:28:43.000 And after you have a baby, the placenta comes out along with the baby.

00:28:46.000 It comes out after the baby.

00:28:47.000 It's what they used to call the afterbirth.

00:28:50.000 And typically, they used to take big sacks of blood that you don't need and throw them away.

00:28:55.000 Now there's this whole insane routine, like fully insane routine, where people think it's a great idea to take your giant sack of blood and eat it.

00:29:06.000 Yes, gang.

00:29:08.000 Yes.

00:29:09.000 And there's some people who take the placenta and they dehydrate it so that they turn it into pills and they swallow them.

00:29:16.000 There are some people who freeze the placenta and then put it in smoothies, which is just vomit-making.

00:29:24.000 I mean, Lindsay over here is basically trying to hold down her breakfast. 1.00

00:29:28.000 And so Kim Kardashian says, of course, that this is the world's most wonderful idea, that she's eating her placenta.

00:29:35.000 This has become a very common thing in Hollywood, this Kim Kardashian placenta thing.

00:29:39.000 There are people who are making a lot of money off of people eating their own placentas.

00:29:43.000 First of all, just as a general rule, folks, don't eat other human body parts.

00:29:46.000 It's just gross.

00:29:47.000 Your own or anybody else's.

00:29:48.000 Let's not eat other people's body parts.

00:29:51.000 She says that, according to the UK Independent, her goal was that apparently she said she had postnatal depression after she had her first child.

00:29:58.000 So after her second child, she didn't want to have postnatal depression, and so she decided to go ahead and

00:30:05.000 Okay, the reason that I'm bringing this up is because there is a strain of paganism that is very, very strong on the left.

00:30:14.000 This is a pagan voodoo ritual. 0.50

00:30:16.000 There is no evidence, no scientific evidence, as in none, zero, that eating your own placenta in any way prevents postpartum depression or helps you in health fashion in any way.

00:30:28.000 She wrote on her blog quote,

00:30:46.000 By the way, Kim and Kourtney pretended to feed their family fried human placenta on an episode back in 2013.

00:30:53.000 I can't imagine.

00:30:54.000 When Caitlyn Jenner is the most sane person in your family, you really have some stuff going on.

00:30:59.000 She said,

00:31:02.000 Again, she has a child named Northwest, and as I've said before, I cannot wait for that kid's autobiography, North by Northwest.

00:31:09.000 But she says, I heard so many stories when I was pregnant with North of moms who never ate their placenta with their first baby and then had postpartum depression, but when they took the pills with their second baby, they did not suffer from depression.

00:31:21.000 Science!

00:31:21.000 She said, so I thought, why not try it?

00:31:24.000 What do I have to lose?

00:31:25.000 She said, I really didn't want the baby to lose.

00:31:27.000 I thought, I can't go wrong with taking a pill made of my own hormones, made by me for me. 0.96

00:31:32.000 You make your poop also. 0.71

00:31:33.000 She said, I started researching and read about so many moms who felt the same way and said the overall healing process was so much easier.

00:31:38.000 By the way, I know somebody who did this.

00:31:40.000 Okay, this is... We all know somebody who did this, by the way.

00:31:43.000 And I will tell you later.

00:31:44.000 Mm-hmm. 1.00

00:31:46.000 And it is absolute, utter paganistic garbage. 0.99

00:31:49.000 There is no evidence whatsoever this worked. 0.99

00:31:52.000 The pagan streak on the left.

00:31:54.000 It's around science.

00:31:55.000 So what you keep hearing from the left is that science is the be-all end-all.

00:31:58.000 They love science, and they love science because they hate God, right?

00:32:00.000 Anything that's able to kill God, they like.

00:32:02.000 So if there's an alternative explanation for how things got the way they got to God's intervention in the universe, they will jump on it.

00:32:09.000 But the same people who proclaim their love for science also say that human babies in the womb aren't babies.

00:32:14.000 They're just polyps, basically.

00:32:16.000 They're nothing.

00:32:16.000 They're just cells of nothing.

00:32:17.000 They're balls of nothing.

00:32:18.000 That one minute before birth, a baby in the womb is not a baby.

00:32:21.000 It's just a big kidney or something.

00:32:23.000 We're good to go.

00:32:38.000 Holistic medicine is just an approach that says you look at the whole body when you do an exam.

00:32:42.000 Doctors do this. 1.00

00:32:43.000 But homeopathy is the idea that basically you use untested drugs on yourself.

00:32:48.000 This is the crusade for the natural.

00:32:50.000 There's a worship of nature, a pagan worship of nature that dominates the left now.

00:32:54.000 Because everybody has a god.

00:32:55.000 It's just a question of what that god is.

00:32:57.000 There are a bunch of people on the left who worship nature.

00:32:59.000 Barack Obama worships nature.

00:33:01.000 That's why he says that climate change

00:33:03.000 Is this dark god that's going to destroy us all unless we appease it with the souls of millions of human beings living in poverty?

00:33:09.000 Right?

00:33:09.000 This is why there's so many people on the left who treat recycling as a sort of... It's almost a religious ritual, recycling.

00:33:15.000 If you don't recycle, you're a bad person.

00:33:17.000 Like, even though it all goes to the dump anyway.

00:33:19.000 Most of it goes to the dump no matter what.

00:33:20.000 But they take it and... No, no, no.

00:33:22.000 It's a ritual, and if you don't do this, you're not going to pagan heaven.

00:33:26.000 And they do this also with homeopathic medicine, where they say that if it's natural, then it must be good for you.

00:33:31.000 That if it's unnatural, then it must be bad for you.

00:33:34.000 Now, I'm not saying that vegetables are not as good for you as jellybeans.

00:33:38.000 I love jellybeans, I don't like vegetables, but vegetables are better for you.

00:33:41.000 However...

00:33:42.000 It turns out that nature has been doing an excellent job for the last several million years of trying to kill humans.

00:33:47.000 In fact, it has a 100% kill rate against human beings, nature.

00:33:50.000 And it turns out that if we just let nature have its way, if we don't have lights, and if we don't have roofs, and if we don't have houses, nature kills us super duper fast.

00:33:58.000 If we don't develop antibiotics, if we don't develop medicines, which are completely artificial, if we don't develop any of these things, then we die.

00:34:04.000 It turns out nature has a way of killing us.

00:34:07.000 There's this romantic view of nature.

00:34:09.000 There's an interesting documentary

00:34:12.000 It's called Grizzly Man.

00:34:13.000 Did you guys see this documentary, Grizzly Man?

00:34:15.000 Have you ever seen this? 1.00

00:34:16.000 It's about this guy named Timothy Treadwell who's an idiot and lived up in Alaska and decided he was going to make friends with the bears. 0.99

00:34:21.000 And so for like 15 years, over the objections of the Department of Wildlife and Natural Resources, he went up to Alaska and hung around the bears and said he was protecting them. 0.99

00:34:31.000 Protecting them from whom?

00:34:32.000 Nobody knows.

00:34:33.000 But eventually his luck ran out and one day he and his girlfriend were up there and a grizzly bear came and ate them.

00:34:38.000 And there's a whole documentary about how he really thought, he thought that nature was his friend.

00:34:45.000 Folks, nature is not your friend.

00:34:46.000 Nature's trying to kill you.

00:34:48.000 Nature provides you resources, you're a part of nature.

00:34:50.000 As a human being, you obviously have a body, you have a biological component to you, obviously.

00:34:56.000 But that doesn't mean that nature is your friend.

00:34:57.000 And this grand worship of nature, all that is natural, all that is good.

00:35:00.000 If it's natural, it must be good. 1.00

00:35:03.000 It leads to moral depravity, as well as to inefficiency and stupidity, like eating your own placenta. 1.00

00:35:07.000 The same philosophy that says eating your own placenta is an affirmative good says, in the fashion of Lady Gaga, I was born this way, therefore I get to do whatever I want. 1.00

00:35:16.000 Born this way is the perfect leftist synopsis of the world.

00:35:19.000 If you just had two songs,

00:35:21.000 To sum up leftism, it's imagine and Lady Gaga's born this way.

00:35:24.000 That's it.

00:35:25.000 Just imagine and born this way.

00:35:26.000 That's all of leftism in a nutshell.

00:35:28.000 Born this way, the lyric being that I'm on the right track, baby.

00:35:31.000 I was born this way.

00:35:32.000 God didn't make no mistakes.

00:35:33.000 I was born this way.

00:35:34.000 Meaning that you never have to overcome temptation.

00:35:36.000 God didn't build you with temptation.

00:35:37.000 He built you with things that you were just supposed to express.

00:35:40.000 Because nature has programmed you to express it.

00:35:44.000 And this is how you end up with an anti-science coming from science.

00:35:47.000 Humanity tends to work in cycles.

00:35:49.000 And so we went from paganism to monotheism.

00:35:52.000 Paganism assumes that there's no real rational order to the universe.

00:35:55.000 It's a bunch of various gods fighting each other for dominance, just like human beings do.

00:35:59.000 Monotheism suggests there is a rational order to the universe.

00:36:02.000 We may not understand where all the pieces fit, but there is a rational order to the universe.

00:36:06.000 The idea that there's a rational order to the universe generated science.

00:36:10.000 Without that idea there's a rational order to the universe, there's nothing to discover.

00:36:13.000 If everything is arbitrary and chaotic...

00:36:15.000 You don't waste time trying to figure out why it is that a cluster of atoms move in a particular way if there are no rules that govern how the atoms move.

00:36:25.000 If everything is just chaos, if everything is, in Hebrew, tohu vavohu, right?

00:36:28.000 If everything is just chaos, then, from Genesis, if everything is chaos, then there's no reason for you to try and investigate the rules that govern the universe.

00:36:36.000 Once we get to monotheism and the idea that there are rules that govern the universe, then people start trying to discover, okay, what are the rules that govern the universe?

00:36:43.000 Once you start

00:36:44.000 Discovering that there are actual rules of science that govern the universe.

00:36:48.000 Then people say, ah, now we found the alternative to a godly ordered universe.

00:36:51.000 We found a scientifically ordered universe.

00:36:53.000 But then it turns out that once you've done that, once science kills God, then people say, well, but wait a second, then there's no real moral reason for being here.

00:37:02.000 And all your scientific rules can describe reality to a certain extent, but they can't describe everything that's around me.

00:37:07.000 There's a whole part of reality science can't describe.

00:37:09.000 So if science can't describe it, then maybe the universe is chaotic, and maybe we ought to go back to paganism.

00:37:14.000 It's not a conscious process, it's a feelings process.

00:37:16.000 If science can't solve all my problems, right?

00:37:18.000 It's Kim Kardashian.

00:37:19.000 If science can't solve all my problems, if I can't take a drug that's been produced for me yet by science, then I'll just eat my placenta.

00:37:26.000 Because I heard from some guy on a street corner that eating my placenta is good.

00:37:29.000 Right?

00:37:29.000 Because it's a chaotic universe and we don't have scientific theory anymore.

00:37:33.000 Scientific theory relies on an order to the universe created by something else, because otherwise it's a disordered, wild universe acting in chaos.

00:37:41.000 And so for the common man, I'm not saying atheists have to believe in a disordered universe.

00:37:44.000 I am saying the way that bleeds down to the populace is that in a disordered, nihilistic universe, there's no reason for science either.

00:37:51.000 Science is just another way of trying to order the universe that fails.

00:37:54.000 Because the universe has no order.

00:37:56.000 If you are Camus' stranger and you're just walking around, there's no order to human life.

00:38:01.000 And you can do anything that you want to do, then what does science have to do with anything?

00:38:04.000 There are no rules that govern your behavior or any other behavior.

00:38:08.000 Maybe certain behavior is governed by science, but what's to say that there isn't other behavior not governed by science?

00:38:13.000 Like eating your placenta or homeopathic medicine.

00:38:16.000 And this is how you end up with a group of people suggesting

00:38:19.000 Both that they are pro-science and also suggesting that climate change is an absolute reality, mandating that we only use one square of toilet paper like Sheryl Crow, or that babies don't really exist in the womb, or that men can magically become women and women can magically become men, or that vaccines don't work, right?

00:38:36.000 This is all coming from the same group of folks, and that group of folks are people who believe in a disordered universe because science killed God and then paganism killed science, and eventually the cycle will continue all the way around.
