Summary

Donald Trump is a huge winner in the polls, and he's not even close to losing to Hillary Clinton in any of the latest polls. And he's doing so despite having one of the worst approval ratings in American history among women, and a gender gap that is worse than any other presidential candidate in modern history. But don't worry, Trump's winning broad swaths of new voters in droves. And if you don't believe me, you should try one of his huge, fabulous Trump steaks. I mean, take a look at how delicious they are, and you'll get a whole lot more than you could ever eat at a steak parlor. You can enjoy the world's greatest steaks in your own home with family and friends, anytime, anywhere. Ben Shapiro is on a college tour, and it's a beautiful day in the middle of nowhere in Salisbury, Maryland, and I knew that I wasn't in anymore anymore because of all of the manure you could smell from the plane. But before we begin, a quick note: there's a new course from our friends over at Hillsdale College, and there's that new course called Econ 101, which you can take over at our online course. That's right, 101, Economics 101. I'm in no way an expert in economics, but I do know a thing or two about economics, so why not take the Econ course? You're not going to get much better than that, right? or better yet, you're going to learn a lot more about economics from someone who doesn't know much about it. You could be a lot better than I do that I'm going to be a better at it than I am at my college course at my alma mater, which I'm sure you'll be better than you are, right here in the next few days, so don't miss it! 00:00:00.000 And here we are.
00:00:01.000 It's a Tuesday.
00:00:01.000 So sorry I missed Monday's podcast, folks.
00:00:04.000 I was on a plane because I'm on my college tour.
00:00:06.000 And here I am, you know, doing my routine from Salisbury, Salisbury, Maryland.
00:00:12.000 And you can see the beautiful set behind me, this hotel room behind me.
00:00:15.000 But let's start today with this.
00:00:18.000 Donald Trump is a huge, ginormous, huge winner.
00:00:22.000 He's totally going to blow out Hillary Clinton.
00:00:24.000 He's winning all of the polls.
00:00:26.000 Except for the last 12 polls, which go something like this.
00:00:29.000 Clinton plus 11.
00:00:30.000 Clinton plus 18.
00:00:31.000 Clinton plus 6.
00:00:32.000 Clinton plus 10.
00:00:33.000 Clinton plus 12.
00:00:34.000 Clinton plus 10.
00:00:34.000 Clinton plus 9.
00:00:35.000 Clinton plus 13.
00:00:36.000 Clinton plus 5.
00:00:37.000 Clinton plus 8.
00:00:38.000 Clinton plus 5.
00:00:40.000 Trump plus 2.
00:00:41.000 Of the 50 polls taken since last July, Donald Trump has won a grand total of 5 of them, and he has tied in 2.
00:00:47.000 So he's batting 140.
00:00:48.000 Trump, though, is the best with women.
00:00:50.000 He's the best with women.
00:00:51.000 He says so himself.
00:00:52.000 Except for those pesky polls, which show that Trump has one of the largest gender gaps in American history.
00:00:58.000 According to the latest NBC News Wall Street Journal poll, he's clocking in with a 70% negative rating among women.
00:01:04.000 He even loses white women by 10 points to Hillary.
00:01:07.000 Among suburban women, he's losing by 30.
00:01:09.000 Contrast that with the lightweight loser choker Mitt Romney, who won white women by 14 points.
00:01:14.000 In fact, Trump does not win a single subset.
00:01:17.000 Zero subsets of women against Hillary.
00:01:19.000 Not one.
00:01:20.000 Trump's the best, though, among black people.
00:01:21.000 You know, he says he loves the blacks, and they love him.
00:01:24.000 The blacks.
00:01:25.000 Well, not so much.
00:01:26.000 There was one outlier poll in September 2015 that showed Trump with 25% black support.
00:01:32.000 Here are the polls from February, though.
00:01:34.000 Trump at 10% black support, margin of error 9%, so that means he could be at 1%.
00:01:37.000 Trump at 7%, Trump at 12%, margin of error 10%.
00:01:39.000 Trump at 11%, Trump at 4%, Trump at 10%, margin of error 10%.
00:01:41.000 So if you're spotting a pattern, it's not because you're crazy.
00:01:49.000 But don't worry, Trump's winning broad swaths of new voters.
00:01:52.000 He's bringing them out in droves.
00:01:54.000 He'll clock that Hillary Clinton who can't even beat Bernie Sanders.
00:01:57.000 Except that Hillary has won, thus far in the primaries, about 9 million votes.
00:02:01.000 Trump has won 7.8 million votes with this massive new wave he's bringing to the polls.
00:02:05.000 So there's that.
00:02:07.000 But don't worry, Trump's gonna turn blue states red, right?
00:02:09.000 Here are the last three polls in Ohio.
00:02:11.000 Clinton plus 6, Clinton plus 5, Clinton plus 7.
00:02:14.000 Here are the last three polls in Florida.
00:02:15.000 Clinton plus 8, Clinton plus 7, Trump plus 1.
00:02:18.000 Yay!
00:02:19.000 A win for Trump!
00:02:20.000 How about New York?
00:02:21.000 Clinton plus 19.
00:02:21.000 How about Michigan?
00:02:22.000 Clinton plus 11.
00:02:23.000 How about North Carolina?
00:02:24.000 Clinton plus 2.
00:02:25.000 How about Virginia?
00:02:26.000 Clinton plus 17.
00:02:28.000 How about Utah?
00:02:29.000 Utah, for God's sake!
00:02:31.000 Clinton plus 2.
00:02:32.000 Clinton even ties Trump's border state in Arizona.
00:02:35.000 So, yeah, Trump's got troubles.
00:02:37.000 But don't worry!
00:02:38.000 He's a huge winner, and he's gonna win for you.
00:02:40.000 And if you don't believe me, you should try one of his huge, fabulous Trump steaks.
00:02:44.000 I mean, he'll tell you himself.
00:02:46.000 Take a look.
00:02:46.000 When it comes to great steaks, I've just raised the steaks.
00:02:50.000 Trump steaks are by far the best tasting, most flavorful beef you've ever had.
00:02:55.000 Truly in a league of their own.
00:02:57.000 You can enjoy the world's greatest steaks in your own home with family, friends, anytime.
00:03:04.000 I'm Ben Shapiro and this is The Ben Shapiro Show.
00:03:13.000 So again, folks, here we are, and it's a beautiful day in the middle of nowhere, basically.
00:03:18.000 It is beautiful out here.
00:03:19.000 I got off the plane in Salisbury, Maryland, and I knew that I wasn't in California anymore because I could smell all of the manure.
00:03:26.000 Like, seriously, you step off the plane, you smell manure, as opposed to Hollywood, where you step off the plane, you smell BS.
00:03:31.000 So there's that.
00:03:32.000 But before we begin, quick note, there's a new course from our friends over at Hillsdale College.
00:03:37.000 All of our presidential candidates, or at least a lot of them, know very, very little about economics.
00:03:41.000 Certainly Donald Trump doesn't know much.
00:03:43.000 Certainly Hillary Clinton doesn't know much.
00:03:44.000 They need to take the Econ 101, Economics 101, from Hillsdale College.
00:03:49.000 That's right, Econ 101, Economics 101 from Hillsdale College.
00:03:52.000 The question I get asked most often by my emailers is, recommend me a book.
00:03:57.000 Okay, and I'm always recommending economics books, but this is even better because you can learn economics direct from the brilliant folks over at Hillsdale College, the best conservative institution in America.
00:04:05.000 Hillsdale.edu slash ben for this free economics 101 course.
00:04:10.000 Liberals, leftists, they'd like you to learn that left government down economic policy is all wrong for America.
00:04:15.000 The free market's the only thing that's going to save our economy.
00:04:19.000 And the fact is that the free market is the only thing that's going to
00:04:22.000 Save our economy.
00:04:23.000 The left is wrong, and you'll learn why with Econ 101 from Hillsdale College.
00:04:27.000 Sign up for free.

00:04:35.000 So, very cool stuff.
00:04:36.000 All right, so the big story of the day is that Corey Lewandowski, our good friend Corey Lewandowski, the campaign manager for Donald Trump, has now been issued an arrest warrant, essentially.
00:04:46.000 And he's been issued an arrest warrant after he committed battery on Michelle Fields.
00:04:51.000 Now, if you recall a few weeks ago, I quit Breitbart because of their refusal, in my opinion, to properly report that out of their allegiance to Trump.
00:04:58.000 I talked about it at the time.
00:05:00.000 But the story now is that the Trump campaign has been lying about all of this literally since the beginning.
00:05:05.000 So Corey Lewandowski dealt with... Michelle Fields said, Corey Lewandowski grabbed me by the arm, yanked me back.
00:05:10.000 I lost my balance.
00:05:11.000 I regained my balance.
00:05:12.000 And she showed a picture of the bruises on her arm.
00:05:15.000 At my behest, she went and she filed a police report.
00:05:17.000 She was thinking about doing it anyway.
00:05:19.000 I encouraged her to go ahead and do that, to document everything.
00:05:22.000 She filed a police report for misdemeanor battery.
00:05:25.000 Corey Lewandowski did commit misdemeanor battery.
00:05:26.000 Misdemeanor battery just means an unwanted touching, and that certainly occurred here.
00:05:31.000 And we can tell, by the way, that Corey Lewandowski, unlike his boss, has normal man-sized hands.
00:05:36.000 We can tell because he left his handprint all over Michelle Fields' arm.
00:05:40.000 Well, the Trump people went nuts.
00:05:41.000 All the Trumpkins, oh, it's a fake.
00:05:43.000 It's a phony.
00:05:44.000 He never touched her.
00:05:45.000 It's made up.
00:05:46.000 Where's the video?
00:05:47.000 Why haven't we seen more?
00:05:48.000 It wasn't that bad anyway.
00:05:50.000 It just, it turned into Area 51 for the Trump people.
00:05:53.000 Chemtrails!
00:05:54.000 Chemtrails!
00:05:54.000 It was all conspiracy theorizing nonsense, right?
00:05:57.000 It was all made up.
00:05:58.000 It was a conspiracy between me and Michelle.
00:06:01.000 It was some sort of sexual dalliance between me and Michelle.
00:06:03.000 That was my favorite, considering that I've literally met Michelle like two times in person.
00:06:08.000 And Michelle is very happily in a relationship, and I'm very happily married.
00:06:12.000 So there's that.
00:06:13.000 But in any case, that's how the Trump people operate.
00:06:16.000 It's that if you are a female who is anti-Trump, it must be because you are a devious sexual creature of some sort.
00:06:23.000 It's why women love Trump so much that they disapprove of him by 70% to 21% margin.
00:06:28.000 In any case, Corey Lewandowski denied it.
00:06:29.000 He went on Twitter.
00:06:30.000 He said, I've never met you.
00:06:31.000 I've never touched you.
00:06:32.000 Then Donald Trump said, this is all made up.
00:06:34.000 I believe my campaign manager.
00:06:36.000 Then Donald Trump put Corey Lewandowski on stage with him after Super Tuesday.
00:06:40.000 And he said, good job, Corey.
00:06:41.000 The reporters, they're all liars.
00:06:43.000 They're all out to get you.
00:06:44.000 And Corey Lewandowski stands there clapping.
00:06:46.000 Well, here is the new video released by the Jupiter Police Department of exactly what went down at that press scrum after the first Super Tuesday in which Michelle Fields essentially got manhandled.
00:06:58.000 I don't know.
00:07:15.000 Truth has no relevance to Donald Trump.
00:07:17.000 It just doesn't matter to Donald Trump.
00:07:19.000 And this is the theme of today's show.
00:07:21.000 I'm going to have to go a little bit brief today, simply because there's so much going on.
00:07:25.000 I have to hop in a car, get to New York City, or to D.C., do some media, and then do my speech at George Washington University.
00:07:31.000 But truth just does not matter to Donald Trump.
00:07:34.000 It just doesn't matter in the slightest.
00:07:37.000 So let's start with the fact that Donald Trump at the end of last week, and we didn't really have a chance to talk about it very much on the podcast, the National Enquirer ran a story suggesting that Ted Cruz had had affairs with five different women.
00:07:50.000 It had affairs with all sorts of women, these five different women.
00:07:53.000 And the five different women that were mentioned, three of them were conservative women.
00:07:57.000 Because as we said the Trump campaign not particularly fond of women.
00:08:01.000 They said that Amanda Carpenter had had a the National Enquirer said Amanda Carpenter a former cruise press secretary, and had an affair with cruise they said the Katrina Pearson who's now Trump's press secretary, and had an affair with cruise they said that that that.
00:08:15.000 Well, what's her name?
00:08:16.000 I used to know her at Harvard.
00:08:19.000 A gal who was working for the Fiorina campaign, that she had had sex with Cruz.
00:08:22.000 Sarah Isker Flores, she had had sex with Cruz.
00:08:24.000 All of this, it turns out, was false.
00:08:26.000 There's no substantiation for any of this, but the Trumpkins all came out in force to accuse all of these various women of having sex with Cruz because they're obviously corrupt and in the pay of Cruz.
00:08:38.000 That's the only reason that these women wouldn't be attracted to the Donald.
00:08:42.000 So, Donald Trump says, well, I had nothing to do with that National Enquirer story.
00:08:45.000 This is all nonsense.
00:08:46.000 That National Enquirer story, I have nothing to do with it.
00:08:49.000 That's not me.
00:08:50.000 I mean, come on.
00:08:52.000 How dare you accuse me?
00:08:53.000 Okay.
00:08:53.000 So, the reason people thought that Trump planted the story is, one, the head of the National Enquirer is close friends with Trump.
00:09:00.000 He's a guy named Pecker, which is why the hashtag Trump Loves Pecker was trending on Twitter all day the other day.
00:09:06.000 I think so.
00:09:21.000 We're good to go.
00:09:43.000 Do you categorically guarantee that nobody on your campaign, nobody tied to your campaign, had anything to do with this National Enquirer story?
00:09:52.000 Totally.
00:09:52.000 I had nothing to do with it.
00:09:54.000 The campaign had absolutely nothing to do with it.
00:09:57.000 He's got a problem with the National Enquirer.
00:09:59.000 I have no control over the National Enquirer.
00:10:01.000 I didn't even know about the story.
00:10:03.000 I just got it last night.
00:10:04.000 Somebody sent it to me over to read so I could at least see what...
00:10:08.000 ...said I had nothing to do whatsoever with the National Enquirer, neither did the campaign.
00:10:13.000 And I will tell you, for him to try and say that I had to do with it, to try and put the shoe on the other foot is disgraceful.
00:10:20.000 And by the way, he's the one that started it.
00:10:24.000 Okay, so he's the one who started it.
00:10:25.000 So I love that the lies just spill gloriously forth from Trump's fat, small mouth.
00:10:30.000 So Donald Trump says things like, that Cruz started it.
00:10:34.000 There is zero evidence that Ted Cruz was responsible for that Super PAC ad from Liz Mayer, who doesn't even like Ted Cruz, about Melania Trump, right?
00:10:43.000 Cruz had no idea that it was happening.
00:10:44.000 He had no correlation with the Liz Mayer Super PAC.
00:10:48.000 Doesn't matter.
00:10:48.000 Trump just throws that out there and accuses Cruz, by the way,
00:10:51.000 We're good to go.
00:11:09.000 Then he says that he had nothing to do with the story.
00:11:11.000 He would go on to say that the story might be true.
00:11:13.000 I mean, the National Enquirer has all sorts of good evidence in the past.
00:11:16.000 Obviously, they uncovered the John Edwards scandal and the Tiger Woods scandal.
00:11:20.000 So maybe it's true.
00:11:20.000 Maybe it's real.
00:11:21.000 Who knows?
00:11:21.000 It could be.
00:11:22.000 It could be.
00:11:23.000 OK, here's some of the other evidence that Trump was involved.
00:11:26.000 Here's Roger Stone.
00:11:27.000 So Roger Stone is, again, a Trump surrogate, very close to the Trump campaign, appearing on national TV and explaining that he thinks the story is still true.
00:11:36.000 And then he went even further.
00:11:38.000 He specifically called me a henchman.
00:11:41.000 Henchmen get paid.
00:11:43.000 I'm not paid anything by the Trump campaign, so therefore, by definition, I can't be a henchman.
00:11:49.000 He also went on to say that I copulate with rodents.
00:11:54.000 Knowing what a couple of these women look like, I actually think he's the one who's been copulating with Roses.
00:12:00.000 So there's Roger Stone basically saying that it's all true, if Cruz doesn't like it, he can sue.
00:12:05.000 Okay, first of all, it's very difficult to sue and win against a national publication when you're a public figure.
00:12:10.000 Jerry Falwell wasn't even able to win a libel suit against, I think it was Hustler Magazine, when they ran a cartoon suggesting that he copulated with his own mother.
00:12:19.000 So this has no relevance at all, but Roger Stone there
00:12:21.000 He says that it's all true.
00:12:23.000 So Donald Trump's, all of Donald Trump's surrogates are out there claiming that this story is true, or at least it should be taken seriously.
00:12:28.000 And there's Trump going around saying he has nothing to do with it.
00:12:31.000 And then the lying continues.
00:12:32.000 Then the lying continues.
00:12:33.000 So Donald Trump, as you recall last week, we talked about it.
00:12:36.000 He tweeted out this meme of Heidi Cruz next to Melania Trump, right?
00:12:41.000 And the idea was Melania Trump is beautiful and Heidi Cruz is less than beautiful.
00:12:45.000 And that shows that Donald Trump is more of a man, right?
00:12:47.000 That's the idea right there.
00:12:48.000 Well, here's Katrina Pearson, Donald Trump's
00:12:51.000 Campaign spokeswoman saying, no, no, no, Donald Trump didn't attack Heidi Cruz.
00:12:55.000 Nobody attacked Heidi Cruz.
00:12:57.000 But that's the point here.
00:12:58.000 Mr. Trump is defending his wife.
00:13:00.000 There is no such thing as an attack on Heidi Cruz.
00:13:03.000 I have yet to hear the attack on Heidi Cruz.
00:13:05.000 Mr. Trump simply said, stop talking about my wife.
00:13:08.000 You didn't see the retweet that Donald Trump did?
00:13:10.000 No.
00:13:10.000 No, that is not an attack.
00:13:11.000 No, I don't think that's an attack.
00:13:13.000 That's not an attack on a woman by using an unflattering picture of a wife?
00:13:16.000 That is not an attack.
00:13:18.000 No.
00:13:18.000 Then what would you call that then?
00:13:19.000 That is not an attack.
00:13:20.000 It is supporting his wife.
00:13:21.000 Hold on, Katrina.
00:13:22.000 Don't say that that's supporting his wife because you don't need Heidi Cruz in that picture to support his wife.
00:13:27.000 Well, of course not!
00:13:28.000 Mr. Trump didn't make the picture!
00:13:31.000 That, of course, is exactly true.
00:13:32.000 But there's Katrina Pearson denying it ever happened.
00:13:34.000 So, here's the pattern from the Trump campaign.
00:13:37.000 First you lie about something.
00:13:38.000 Then you lie that you lied about it.
00:13:40.000 And then you lie that you lied that you lied about it.
00:13:41.000 That's the pattern from the Trump campaign.
00:13:43.000 And that's what we see in the Michelle Fields incident.
00:13:45.000 Regardless of whether you think that Michelle was brutally injured.
00:13:48.000 Michelle never claimed she was brutally injured, by the way.
00:13:50.000 She claimed she was yanked backwards, lost her balance, regained her balance, and was bruised.
00:13:54.000 All of which is true, and you can see it on the tape.
00:13:57.000 Regardless of what you think of Michelle, the fact is that the Trump campaign lied.
00:14:01.000 Corey Lewandowski is a thug, as I said he was.
00:14:03.000 I mean, Corey Lewandowski's been in the crowd manhandling other people recently.
00:14:07.000 Corey Lewandowski's a thug.
00:14:08.000 Donald Trump defends thugs.
00:14:10.000 Donald Trump is a liar.
00:14:11.000 Donald Trump is a charlatan.
00:14:13.000 And today is just more evidence of that.
00:14:15.000 And he's willing to rip women on a regular basis in order to achieve that.
00:14:18.000 He's willing to send out his campaign surrogates to slam Amanda Carpenter, who has nothing to do with anything because she doesn't back him.
00:14:24.000 He's willing to send out campaign surrogates to suggest that innocent women like Amanda Carpenter and Sarah Isker Flores and Katrina Pearson even are lying about all of this.
00:14:33.000 His own campaign secretary is lying about this sort of stuff.
00:14:36.000 Katrina Pearson, as we mentioned last week, she even tweeted out that while it's not true for her, it might be true for other women that Cruz is schtuping.
00:14:42.000 And it's just, it's disgusting all the way around, but this is what the Trump campaign does.
00:14:47.000 The case to be made for Trump is that he does this stuff.
00:14:49.000 Honestly, the case for Trump is that he does these things because the reality is that Donald Trump, I guess the implication is he's the only one who's willing to go up against Hillary Clinton and really smack her around.
00:15:00.000 He's the only one who's really willing to rhetorically hit her with the kitchen sink.
00:15:03.000 Yeah, the problem is he alienates every single person in the United States when he does these things because he's willing to lie.
00:15:09.000 He's willing to say anything.
00:15:10.000 He's willing to do anything.
00:15:11.000 Donald Trump is our version of the Clintons.
00:15:13.000 And for all you Trumpsters out there very upset about the National Enquirer report about Ted Cruz with no evidence whatsoever, I would ask, why don't you care at all?
00:15:23.000 Like, at all, at all?
00:15:24.000 Donald Trump is the admitted serial philanderer in this particular presidential race.
00:15:29.000 He lied to his first wife and cheated on his second.
00:15:30.000 He lied to his second and cheated on his third.
00:15:32.000 At some point, presumably he'll cheat on Melania with his fourth wife.
00:15:35.000 It could be you, gang, if you're ardently pro-Trump.
00:15:38.000 But the bottom line is that Trump, as a liar,
00:15:42.000 We're good to go.
00:16:03.000 Has a talent for gauging how the public feels.
00:16:05.000 I think the problem is that he's willing to utilize that as a con man would in order to push forward his agenda.
00:16:11.000 So here's a question for Democrats today.
00:16:14.000 And this is a real question for Democrats.
00:16:15.000 And you know what?
00:16:16.000 Let's take our quick profit timeout a little early here, because I want to get to this question for Democrats.
00:16:20.000 The quick profit timeout, OK, if you want to protect your privacy from the big corporations, from the federal government, the way that you need to do this is you need to go to reaganprivacy.com.
00:16:30.000 reaganprivacy.com.
00:16:31.000 This allows you to get a reagan.com email address, your name at reagan.com.
00:16:37.000 And that's wonderful for two reasons.
00:16:38.000 One, every time you write an email, you get to slap your friends with the reagan.com sticker.
00:16:43.000 I think we're good to go.
00:17:03.000 People like me, we've said for now weeks and weeks, months and months, I will not vote for Trump under any circumstances.
00:17:08.000 I think that Trump is a flaming garbage heap.
00:17:11.000 I think he's a flaming garbage heap whether he's having his campaign manager outright lie about whether he grabbed a woman and bruised her arm.
00:17:17.000 And again, for all those folks saying it's not that serious, the case isn't even that it's that serious.
00:17:21.000 But let me just say this.
00:17:22.000 If some dude grabbed my wife, pulled her back, yanked her arm hard enough to leave his fingerprints on her arm, I would go and I would kick that dude's ass.
00:17:30.000 I mean, seriously, any man worth his salt would.
00:17:33.000 And the reality that, if they were there at the time, and the reality that the Trump campaign downplays all this, yeah, that's going to be a campaign that wins women.
00:17:42.000 Whether they're lying about Corey Lewandowski or rewarding Corey Lewandowski for his brutish behavior, whether it's Donald Trump lying about Ted Cruz based on no evidence, sending out his surrogates, retweeting things about Heidi Cruz, Trump's a scuzzbucket.
00:17:54.000 And so I won't vote for him.
00:17:55.000 But here's my question for the left.
00:17:57.000 Why is it that you'll vote for Hillary?
00:17:59.000 See, Hillary is just as every bit as sleazy as Donald Trump.
00:18:03.000 Every bit, and more.
00:18:04.000 Hillary is more sleazy than Donald Trump.
00:18:06.000 She covers up for her husband's rapes.
00:18:09.000 Hillary Clinton is the woman who puts all of her classified material on a private server, specifically so that she can avoid having to be held responsible for some of her own emails, so she can delete those emails.
00:18:20.000 Hillary Clinton is a criminal, Hillary Clinton is a felon, Hillary Clinton is corrupt, and Hillary Clinton is anti-woman.
00:18:26.000 All of these things are true.
00:18:27.000 And yet, Democrats are still following her.
00:18:30.000 It's amazing how Democrats think.
00:18:31.000 And this is the difference, I really do believe this, and it's an important difference.
00:18:35.000 Maybe it means that we lose sometimes, but it means that we're also moral and non-terrible people.
00:18:40.000 There is a difference between the right and the left.
00:18:43.000 The right says there are some things we just won't back.
00:18:46.000 There's still a rule of law.
00:18:47.000 There's still a rule of decency.
00:18:48.000 The left says that rule of decency just doesn't exist.
00:18:51.000 Ron Fornier is a journalist over at National Journal, big Hillary Clinton fan, and he was explaining on national TV that Hillary Clinton should not be indicted.
00:18:58.000 But listen to his reason why Hillary Clinton should not be indicted.
00:19:01.000 Clip three.
00:19:02.000 But the big question is, the only thing that really changes the game is if we have any criminal charges.
00:19:06.000 I don't know that's certainly going to happen.
00:19:07.000 And the things that you talked about... That may not happen.
00:19:09.000 Intel officials have been saying to me, and have been angry for some time, not so much about FOIA, they've been talking about the reckless disregard for the classified information.
00:19:22.000 And that there's so many classified documents that both came and went.
00:19:26.000 And, you know, when they talk about it wasn't marked on there, that's just a distinction without a difference.
00:19:33.000 Right.
00:19:33.000 So politically, that plays into this whole question that we really can't trust her, that she's been saying things like, well, they weren't marked classified when we all know and voters understand that that really doesn't matter.
00:19:43.000 Legally, though, there's a big bar that you have to get over.
00:19:46.000 We're good to go.
00:20:00.000 And this is the difference between the right and the left, right?
00:20:10.000 We feel that everybody should be held equal under the law.
00:20:12.000 The left believes that if you're Hillary Clinton and you're running for president, you should get away with it because you're Hillary Clinton and you're running for president.
00:20:19.000 Ron Fornier there said, Hillary can break the law and get away with it because she's Hillary Clinton and because she's running for president.
00:20:25.000 That's an amazing statement of lack of principle.
00:20:27.000 And this is what the left is.
00:20:28.000 I mean, why is the left not running, screaming away from Hillary Clinton?
00:20:33.000 There was a Hillary advisor on TV last night saying Hillary's not going to debate Bernie Sanders anymore until he's nicer, or really school-marming Bernie Sanders.
00:20:40.000 Here's a Hillary advisor explaining that, clip four.
00:20:43.000 Let's talk about New York.
00:20:44.000 You mentioned New York.
00:20:45.000 Bernie Sanders wants... My home state.
00:20:47.000 Your home state.
00:20:48.000 Bernie Sanders wants a debate here before the April primary.
00:20:53.000 Are you going to agree to it?
00:20:54.000 I think, you know, what was notable this weekend wasn't so much that, but in my mind was the Washington Post story with his own campaign talking about how they're poll testing more negative attacks on Hillary Clinton.
00:21:06.000 They're talking about running harsher negatives now.
00:21:08.000 We saw them run negative ads.
00:21:09.000 Don't distract.
00:21:10.000 Don't distract here.
00:21:11.000 I think the real question is not whether we're going to debate.
00:21:13.000 Why wouldn't you debate?
00:21:14.000 Because I think the real question is what kind of campaign is Senator Sanders going to run going forward?
00:21:18.000 He pumped $4 million in the weekend before March 15th, and he lost all five states on March 15th.
00:21:26.000 They spent about $4 million running negative ads.
00:21:28.000 That doesn't have anything to do with the debate, though.
00:21:30.000 Why not debate?
00:21:31.000 This is a man who said he'd never run a negative ad.
00:21:33.000 You can stop it there.
00:21:34.000 But this is the point, right?
00:21:35.000 So Hillary is schoolmarming Bernie Sanders now.
00:21:38.000 So I said Donald Trump is a lying liar who lies, right?
00:21:40.000 He lies, and then he lies about the lying, and then he lies about lying about the lying.
00:21:44.000 Hillary Clinton does the same thing.
00:21:45.000 So Hillary Clinton is going after Bernie Sanders.
00:21:47.000 Bernie Sanders has run the most cordial campaign.
00:21:50.000 The only thing he could do to please Hillary more would be to simply pull out at this point.
00:21:54.000 And yet her advisors are on national TV saying, we won't debate Bernie Sanders until he's nicer to us.
00:21:59.000 The same Hillary Clinton campaign, by the way, that has called Bernie Sanders a racist and a sexist, and trotted out David Brock, the guy who looks like Lloyd Bridges in Airplane after he shouldn't have stopped sniffing glue this week.
00:22:12.000 He trotted that guy out to say that Hillary Clinton is the victim of sexism at the hands of Bernie Sanders.
00:22:17.000 Hillary's campaign has been vicious to Bernie Sanders, but they say that Bernie Sanders is the one whose tone and tenor don't match up.
00:22:24.000 Why are Democrats still backing this lady?
00:22:26.000 Why are Democrats still backing this lying liar who lies?
00:22:29.000 And the answer, again, is that they don't have any principles.
00:22:31.000 The only principle is power.
00:22:33.000 And on this score, I'm going to give a lot of credit to somebody I've never given credit before to, or at least not since I saw her in Atlantic City when I was like 14, Susan Sarandon, right, who actually said she doesn't think that she can vote for Hillary Clinton.
00:22:46.000 I mean, I think a lot of people think to themselves, well, if it's Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, um, and I think Bernie Sanders probably would think this.
00:22:56.000 I think Bernie would probably encourage people because he doesn't have any ego in this thing.
00:23:01.000 But I think a lot of people are sorry.
00:23:03.000 I just can't bring myself to do that.
00:23:05.000 How about you personally?
00:23:06.000 I don't know.
00:23:07.000 I'm going to see what happens.
00:23:09.000 Really?
00:23:09.000 Really.
00:23:11.000 I cannot believe it as you're watching the run.
00:23:13.000 Well, you know, some people feel Donald Trump will bring the revolution immediately.
00:23:17.000 If he gets in, then things will really, you know, explode.
00:23:20.000 Oh, you're saying the Leninist model of tighten the constitutions?
00:23:23.000 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:23:24.000 Some people feel that.
00:23:25.000 Don't you think that's dangerous?
00:23:27.000 I think that what's going on now, if you think that it's pragmatic to shore up the status quo right now, then you're not in touch with the status quo.
00:23:34.000 The status quo is not working, and I think it's dangerous to think that we can continue the way we are with a militarized police force, with privatized, with a death penalty, with a low...
00:23:44.000 It's just not saying anything intelligent beyond that point.
00:23:46.000 But when she says that she won't vote for Hillary, at least she's honest.
00:23:49.000 At least she's saying that she won't vote for Hillary.
00:23:51.000 The world would be a better place if we all just said there are certain candidates we won't vote for if they violate the line that is a bridge too far.
00:23:59.000 And the lying liars who lie, that bridge has been violated time and time again.
00:24:04.000 We'll conclude this portion before we get to a quick thing I like and a quick thing I don't.
00:24:08.000 With Donald Trump being grilled on Wisconsin radio's Clip 16, this is what happens when somebody actually asks Donald Trump about lying.
00:24:15.000 This is what lying liars sound like when they're lying.
00:24:17.000 Here we go.
00:24:17.000 Your wife is a beautiful, classy woman.
00:24:20.000 Why can't you say the same about Ted Cruz's wife?
00:24:24.000 I don't know Ted Cruz's wife.
00:24:25.000 I'm sure she's excellent.
00:24:27.000 I mean, I just don't know her.
00:24:29.000 But, you know, all this was was a response to what he did.
00:24:33.000 And by the way, Charlie, it was a very minor response to what he did.
00:24:36.000 It was a picture.
00:24:37.000 I didn't even know it was necessarily a very bad picture of her versus Melania, frankly.
00:24:43.000 But this was a retweet from one of my supporters.
00:24:47.000 I have so many millions of supporters and millions of people on Twitter.
00:24:51.000 Between Twitter and Facebook, I guess Instagram, I have 15 million people.
00:24:55.000 And we hear from them frequently.
00:24:57.000 Now, Mr. Trump, you do like to talk about polls a lot.
00:25:00.000 And the recent polls suggest that you have a disapproval rating of about 70% among women.
00:25:05.000 And in Southeastern Wisconsin, you are very much underwater.
00:25:08.000 And a lot of that has to do, let's be honest about this, with conservative women who are repelled by your attitude and your treatment of women.
00:25:14.000 Women are just going to have to see what I've done.
00:25:16.000 I've hired tremendous numbers of women.
00:25:18.000 Women are in my highest executive positions.
00:25:21.000 I pay women in many cases more than I pay men, which is more than most people can say.
00:25:27.000 I've been a person that's been in the entertainment business and a very big person in business, and I've been quoted over the years by everybody almost from the time I started business, for whatever reason.
00:25:42.000 I became a celebrity in a sense.
00:25:44.000 Are the rules different for celebrities?
00:25:48.000 Are celebrities allowed to insult women?
00:25:49.000 The rules are different, but certainly I never thought I would run for office.
00:25:54.000 Howard Stern would interview me and everybody would be having fun and the women would be laughing.
00:25:59.000 Well, but you're saying the same thing.
00:26:00.000 I mean, you have mocked Megyn Kelly, you have mocked Carly Fiorina, and you are a... Well, I'm not a fan of Megyn Kelly.
00:26:05.000 I mean, I'm allowed to say that.
00:26:07.000 If Megyn Kelly were a man, I would be saying the exact same things about Megyn Kelly, and the same thing with Rosie O'Donnell.
00:26:14.000 I'm not a fan of Rosie O'Donnell.
00:26:16.000 Well, let me ask you... You're a fan of mine, and you know what?
00:26:19.000 You go back and forth.
00:26:20.000 I don't think there should be a double standard of somebody's a woman, but I can tell you this, Charlie, I have been
00:26:26.000 Better to women than any of these candidates, frankly.
00:26:30.000 Except you won't apologize to a woman that you mocked.
00:26:34.000 I have executive people at a very, very high level.
00:26:37.000 I have executive people that are women.
00:26:40.000 I gave women early chances in construction.
00:26:43.000 Numerous women early chances in construction when nobody else was doing it.
00:26:47.000 And people have said that I've been, people have said, you know, in terms of breaking the glass ceiling, that I was a leader in it.
00:26:54.000 And that's what it sounds like.
00:26:55.000 Donald Trump obviously can't handle himself.
00:26:57.000 Donald Trump obviously has no capacity to answer basic questions when he's called on his falsehoods.
00:27:02.000 And we should all be calling all of these candidates on their falsehoods because they're gross and that means you, Corey Lewandowski.
00:27:08.000 And I understand Donald Trump isn't going to fire Corey Lewandowski for being a lying liar who lies because
00:27:12.000 They have to surround themselves with lying liar who lies in order to move forward, but it is something we should keep in mind.
00:27:18.000 Okay, quick thing I like and then something that I don't.
00:27:21.000 So, here is the quick thing that I like.
00:27:23.000 I saw Batman vs. Superman over the weekend, and I was fully expecting to hate Batman vs. Superman.
00:27:29.000 The trailer was awful.
00:27:31.000 It gave away half the plot.
00:27:33.000 I thought it was a great movie, honestly.
00:27:35.000 It's the first time that I've seen a film that ranks below about 50% on Rotten Tomatoes, where I've actually enjoyed the film, where I actually thought that the film was good.
00:27:43.000 And I didn't just enjoy it, I thought it was actually terrific.
00:27:45.000 I thought the first two-thirds of the film were as good as any comic book movie ever made, and the last third was about the same as a Marvel flick.
00:27:53.000 The only part of it that I didn't really appreciate is the monster fight at the end, but that happens now in pretty much all of the movies, and it's just a rating on how well the special effects are done.
00:28:03.000 I did a full review over at Daily Wire.
00:28:04.000 I thought it was a great film.
00:28:06.000 I really did.
00:28:07.000 What I don't understand is all these people... First of all, if you're a comic book fan, if you're a fan of the comics, then you understand that the Batman played by Ben Affleck is Frank Miller's Batman.
00:28:16.000 The kind of sadistic, reveling-in-the-violence Batman.
00:28:19.000 That's Frank Miller's Batman.
00:28:20.000 And it's great.
00:28:21.000 It's really terrific.
00:28:22.000 Lex Luthor, everybody was getting all over Jesse Eisenberg for his performance.
00:28:25.000 I thought it was great, this kind of quirky Lex Luthor.
00:28:29.000 It's Mark Zuckerberg on steroids, and I thought it was wonderful.
00:28:31.000 I thought the movie, honestly, I thought the movie was really, really, really good.
00:28:34.000 I thought it was a really good movie, and you should go see it.
00:28:38.000 It's not appropriate for young audiences, but if you're 14 and above, then it's probably fine.
00:28:44.000 And it's really enjoyable.
00:28:46.000 All the people criticizing it, they say, oh, it's dark.
00:28:49.000 It's too moody.
00:28:50.000 It's too dark.
00:28:51.000 We're good.
00:29:10.000 Go watch the Avengers.
00:29:11.000 I find those movies to be cotton candy.
00:29:15.000 I find them to be dental floss.
00:29:16.000 I really don't think there's anything material in the Marvel movies.
00:29:19.000 I know lots of people love the Marvel movies.
00:29:21.000 There's a reason that Captain America is not as iconic as Superman.
00:29:24.000 There's a reason that Iron Man is not as iconic as Batman.
00:29:27.000 And the reason is because the DC universe brings up actual real issues and then takes them seriously.
00:29:33.000 And this movie actually does that.
00:29:34.000 So all of the criticisms, I think people were expecting the kind of jokey, winky, oh, we know it's a comic book movie, but we're here.
00:29:40.000 Wink, wink, wink.
00:29:41.000 And I hate that kind of stuff.
00:29:43.000 If I go to see a comic book movie, I know it's a comic book movie.
00:29:45.000 That's why I'm going.
00:29:46.000 I don't need you winking at me the whole time.
00:29:48.000 Some movies, like Ant-Man, are perfectly fine with that.
00:29:50.000 But I don't need you constantly protecting yourself from charges of sincerity by being overtly insincere.
00:29:57.000 I find it off-putting.
00:29:59.000 So, I really thought the movie was great.
00:30:00.000 Batman v Superman.
00:30:02.000 Go check it out.
00:30:02.000 It's a lot of fun.
00:30:04.000 Finally, the thing that I hate for today.
00:30:08.000 You have to love it a little bit, but I mostly hate it.
00:30:10.000 Here is John Kasich, who's still in the race for a reason no one can explain, talking about his view of the race.
00:30:16.000 And this is just, this is beyond delusional.
00:30:19.000 It's crazy towns.
00:30:20.000 Here we go.
00:30:21.000 I'm beating Hillary by 11 points.
00:30:23.000 I'm the only one that can win in the fall.
00:30:25.000 And as you notice, the narrative over the last week has been, what is wrong with the party?
00:30:29.000 Kasich's the guy that can win the general.
00:30:31.000 Some people have said Kasich would be the best president.
00:30:35.000 I mean, get out for what?
00:30:37.000 If I'd have gotten out, Trump would be the nominee.
00:30:39.000 He would have won Ohio.
00:30:40.000 And frankly,
00:30:41.000 We'll win some districts in Wisconsin.
00:30:44.000 We will move to Pennsylvania, where I'm basically in a statistical tie with Trump.
00:30:48.000 And when we go to New York and everywhere else, we're going to pick up delegates.
00:30:51.000 So, I mean, that's absurd.
00:30:53.000 It's absurd.
00:30:54.000 You know, if you really want, let them consolidate behind me, because frankly, I'm the one that can win in the fall, and I'm the one that can get the crossover votes.
00:31:02.000 Let them consolidate behind me.
00:31:04.000 Mm-hmm.
00:31:05.000 Mm-hmm.
00:31:05.000 Yeah, let's let the Golden State Warriors and the Spurs consolidate behind the L.A.
00:31:09.000 Lakers.
00:31:09.000 This makes perfect sense.
00:31:10.000 This makes absolute sense if you are a tremendously stupid person.
00:31:14.000 John Kasich has the least delegates by far.
00:31:17.000 Of anybody in the race.
00:31:18.000 He still has less delegates than Marco Rubio, who's not even in the race.
00:31:21.000 And John Kasich is saying, let's all side behind me.
00:31:23.000 He's going to go for it.
00:31:24.000 Honestly, if he sticks around and wins Pennsylvania, deprives Trump of a couple of other wins, then I'm happy for him to stay in the race.
00:31:30.000 But the idea that everybody should stand behind Donald, should stand behind John Kasich is fully delusional.
00:31:36.000 And it is sort of entertaining to watch, as Andrew Klavan calls him, the little man who is a raisin, talk about how everybody should consolidate behind him.
00:31:44.000 It's a little bit amusing.
00:31:45.000 Okay, folks, so I'm speaking at George Washington University tonight.
00:31:48.000 You can look for coverage at Daily Wire.
00:31:50.000 I'm sure that I'll be doing some media today about this whole Corey Lewandowski incident.
00:31:53.000 Just remember, theme of the day, if somebody doesn't back your values, and not only that, if they're a crappy person, don't back them in an election.
00:32:01.000 And lefties, please, if you wish for us to take you seriously as human beings and not think that you're also smoking garbage heaps like Trump or Hillary,
00:32:08.000 Don't back smoking garbage heaps just because you think it's politically palatable to do so.
00:32:13.000 And let's all have some principle here.
00:32:14.000 How about decency for everybody?
00:32:16.000 I know that's a rough rule for folks.
00:32:17.000 How about decency for everybody?
00:32:18.000 No grabbing people by the arm, no defending rapists.
00:32:22.000 If any of this is too tough for you, then please vote somewhere else.
00:32:25.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.
00:32:26.000 This is The Ben Shapiro Show.
