The Ben Shapiro Show - Illegal Immigrants Storm Texas National Guard

00:00:00.000 Well, folks, every day under Joe Biden's administration is a political ad cut for Donald Trump.

00:00:05.000 The latest example comes courtesy of America's southern border.

00:00:09.000 And there is so much going on at the southern border.

00:00:11.000 If you watch Divided States of Biden episode one, which is where we actually went down to the border and checked it out, you can see that the border is basically wide open.

00:00:17.000 There are no border patrol agents where they should be.

00:00:19.000 They are all too busy processing illegal immigrants and letting them into the country. 1.00

00:00:24.000 Well, yesterday, at the border, there was a major conflagration when, in Texas, about 300 illegal immigrants decided to storm one of the sections of the Texas State National Park where they had erected some border wire.

00:00:36.000 They stormed across the border, most of them being young males, and started toppling over American soldiers, started assaulting the American Border Patrol.

00:00:45.000 Here is what it looked like.

00:00:50.000 So this is insane.

00:00:51.000 It's effectively riotous circumstances.

00:00:54.000 You can see these illegal immigrants who push their way through the border, and then they just start pushing their way past the soldiers, past the border patrol, and they rush up to the fence.

00:01:04.000 Now the fence is still closed, so they're rushing their way past the border wall, but there's another fence.

00:01:09.000 And now they are waving their arms to suggest that this is how borders normally work is totally crazy.

00:01:15.000 Of course, this is not true.

00:01:16.000 And it's being facilitated by the Mexican drug cartels.

00:01:18.000 To understand what's going on the border, you have to understand the people in control of the southern border are in fact the Mexican drug cartels who decide Where every single illegal immigrant gets dropped off.

00:01:28.000 There are no, this is not the days of 1980s when you have illegal immigrants singly or in pairs or as families attempting to cross the desert to get into the United States.

00:01:36.000 You now have drug cartels that literally take people on trucks directly to the border and drop them off where they want to be dropped off.

00:01:42.000 For a couple purposes.

00:01:43.000 One, they understand that if those people arrive at the border and are then processed, they're going to enter the country. 0.65

00:01:48.000 And two, if you can force Border Patrol to congregate around places like this, you know where the Border Patrol ain't, the Border Patrol is not in the areas where it needs to be, interdicting all of the fentanyl that is crossing the border by literally tens of thousands of pounds and then killing 100,000 Americans a year.

00:02:03.000 That's episode two of The Divided States of Biden on fentanyl.

00:02:05.000 That is coming on Monday, where we go inside that story.

00:02:08.000 It has a lot to do with the border crisis.

00:02:09.000 They are very much Intertwined.

00:02:11.000 This is Joe Biden's policy.

00:02:13.000 Joe Biden's policy is to have an open border.

00:02:15.000 Understand that the Biden administration legitimately sued the state of Texas to prevent them from passing a law to make it illegal to be an illegal immigrant in the state of Texas and make you subject to deportation.

00:02:26.000 Joe Biden wants the illegal immigrants in the country.

00:02:29.000 And he wants the illegal immigrants in the country For presumably one of three reasons. 1.00

00:02:33.000 Those reasons would either be economic, meaning he wants an underclass of people who are not going to be paid the prevailing minimum wage to make sure that the economy does not collapse on his watch even as he artificially boosts wages for his union cronies.

00:02:45.000 Two, he wants to make sure that a huge number of people cross Across America's southern border and then eventually gain their citizenship because a lot of these young men who are crossing the border will get married to American citizens and then gain their citizenship that way.

00:02:57.000 And then he hopes that those people will become Democratic voters.

00:02:59.000 And three, ideologically, there's a huge segment of the Democratic Party that believes that America is bad and should not have borders.

00:03:06.000 And that actually, any westernized country should not have borders.

00:03:09.000 That somehow, the West being an exploitative capitalist system, that system has been terrible to people all over the world, and therefore, the West owes it to people all over the world, entry.

00:03:19.000 That people should just be able to cross borders willy-nilly. 0.99

00:03:22.000 Not even a libertarian point of view, an anti-Western point of view.

00:03:25.000 That is a large swath of the democratic political base.

00:03:29.000 Same sorts of people who really like Hamas over in Dearborn, Michigan, for example, or the people who are protesting on college campuses.

00:03:35.000 So, those reasons are motivating Joe Biden here, obviously, in whatever proportion you seek to attribute to that.

00:03:43.000 Whatever the case.

00:03:44.000 It is very clear that the Democratic Party does not care about illegal immigration or is actively facilitating it.

00:03:51.000 This is not the only example, by the way, is what was happening down at the border wall in El Paso, Texas.

00:03:56.000 In fact, I think a significantly worse example is what was said yesterday by the Massachusetts governor, Maura Healey. 0.54

00:04:02.000 So she was asked about an illegal immigrant raping a 14-year-old in her state. 0.84

00:04:07.000 And here was her answer.

00:04:10.000 We asked Governor Healey if she can prevent this type of incident from happening again.

00:04:15.000 Unfortunately, we have security and systems in place.

00:04:19.000 We have vetting in place.

00:04:21.000 It is unfortunate that from time to time things will happen.

00:04:25.000 It's unfortunate that from time to time things will happen.

00:04:29.000 Or you could attempt to pressure your own party to shut the border since they are in control of the border.

00:04:35.000 Joe Biden could make it hard to cross the border today.

00:04:39.000 He dismantled all of the systems that Donald Trump had put in place on America's southern border.

00:04:43.000 He dismantled Remain in Mexico.

00:04:45.000 He changed the definition of what it meant to apply for asylum.

00:04:49.000 These two changes alone are responsible.

00:04:51.000 We're 7 to 10 million illegal immigrants entering the country since Joe Biden took office.

00:04:56.000 We'll get to more on this in just one moment.

00:04:58.000 First, $20 barely gets you anything these days.

00:05:00.000 You can't get a burger and fries for less than that.

00:05:02.000 What about at the gas pump?

00:05:03.000 Well, maybe a quarter tank of gas.

00:05:05.000 But do you know what $20 will get you?

00:05:07.000 From the cell phone company I use, PeerTalk, you can get unlimited talk, text, and plenty of 5G data for just $20 a month.

00:05:12.000 PeerTalk gives you the same quality of service as your current cell phone provider, but for half the cost.

00:05:17.000 The average family saves almost $1,000 a year, all with no contracts and no activation fees.

00:05:22.000 You can switch to PeerTalk and keep the phone and phone number you currently use, or you can take advantage of their great deals on the latest iPhones and Androids.

00:05:28.000 Making the switch is incredibly easy.

00:05:30.000 Their U.S.

00:05:30.000 customer service team can help you join PeerTalk in as little as 10 minutes.

00:05:34.000 Choose to spend your hard-earned money with a wireless company that shares your values, supports our military and veterans, creates American jobs, and refuses to advertise on, you know, those fake news networks.

00:05:42.000 Stop spending ridiculous amounts of money on your phone plan.

00:05:45.000 Go to puretalk.com slash Shapiro.

00:05:47.000 Right now, my listeners can get an additional 50% off their very first month.

00:05:51.000 That's puretalk.com slash Shapiro.

00:05:53.000 Again, puretalk.com slash Shapiro.

00:05:56.000 Go check them out right now.

00:05:57.000 So, yesterday, we held an event over at the Trump Doral.

00:06:01.000 I was co-hosting a fundraiser for President Trump.

00:06:03.000 I had a chance to speak with President Trump about the border, about the fentanyl crisis.

00:06:07.000 I will say the President is in very, very good spirits about the election, as he should be, given the polling data.

00:06:13.000 And what we talked about at some length was the simple fact that his policies on the border were significantly better than Joe Biden's.

00:06:19.000 What he actually said is, this issue is a horrible issue for America and a great issue for Republicans, specifically because Joe Biden has made it such a horrible issue for the United States.

00:06:28.000 And he is right about that.

00:06:29.000 Joe Biden has opened that border wide.

00:06:32.000 He has opened it absolutely wide.

00:06:35.000 It's insane.

00:06:36.000 And that's not going to bear benefits for Joe Biden in the upcoming election.

00:06:40.000 Now, what's funny about this is that Joe Biden really believes that he has to do this also because he's under the weird misimpression.

00:06:45.000 I know who his political advisors are. 0.99

00:06:46.000 Joe Biden's political advisors are complete befuddled morons because they're selling him a bill of goods. 0.98

00:06:51.000 Basically, he staffed his entire administration with Bernie Sanders acolytes who tell him that his unpopularity is a result of him not moving far enough to the left. 1.00

00:07:00.000 Which is idiotic. 0.96

00:07:01.000 Why he switched horses in the middle of the stream and moved away from his supposed moderation in 2020 toward the Bernie Sanders left is absolutely beyond me. 0.99

00:07:10.000 He seems to think, again, politically speaking, that this will be a base election.

00:07:14.000 That if he can turn out enough Democratic voters, he will win.

00:07:16.000 This will not be a base election.

00:07:18.000 The only true base election of my lifetime was 2012.

00:07:21.000 That is the only election in which independence went one way, but the election went the other way.

00:07:25.000 Where independence tended to split for Mitt Romney, but Barack Obama being a unique political figure, with a unique appeal to black Americans particularly, was able to turn out his vote in numbers high enough to win the presidency, despite the fact that he had alienated the middle.

00:07:39.000 Every Democrat since 2012 has attempted to emulate the Barack Obama model, and every Democrat since 2012 has failed.

00:07:46.000 The only reason that Joe Biden won in 2020 is because all the voting rules changed because of COVID, and because Democratic ballot harvesting meant that literally tens of millions of people Who had never voted before, voted because people were showing up at their doors three months in advance of the election, picking up their ballot and dropping it off in the nearest mailbox.

00:08:03.000 That is not going to replicate itself in 2024.

00:08:06.000 But Joe Biden's political advisors seem to be telling him he needs to skew to the left.

00:08:09.000 And so you've seen Joe Biden, as we'll talk about a little bit later, skew against Israel in the belief that he's going to win over 10,000 voters in Dearborn, Michigan, and somehow it's going to win in Michigan.

00:08:18.000 He's not losing Michigan because he is pro-Israel or supposedly pro-Israel.

00:08:22.000 The reason that Joe Biden is losing Michigan is because he is alienating every blue-collar voter he can find in the state of Michigan. 0.99

00:08:29.000 The moron is passing laws and regulations that basically kill the domestic American car industry. 0.99

00:08:35.000 And then he's wondering why he's losing Michigan? 1.00

00:08:37.000 That would be the reason, sir, that you're losing Michigan.

00:08:39.000 But his own people won't tell him that because they're staffed by environmentalist do-gooders And radical leftists.

00:08:45.000 And the same thing is true on the American border.

00:08:47.000 Joe Biden seems to believe that if he's soft on the American border, this is going to win over Hispanics.

00:08:51.000 This is one of the biggest myths in American politics is that Hispanics, Latinos in America

00:08:55.000 are desperately in favor of a wide open border.

00:08:57.000 That is not true by polling data.

00:08:59.000 I don't know where they're getting this idea that Hispanic Americans are like,

00:09:02.000 yeah, just open up the vast majority of Hispanic Americans came here legally, not illegally.

00:09:07.000 They're legal citizens of the United States.

00:09:09.000 And because of that, they think the same way that pretty much all other Americans think,

00:09:13.000 which is, you know what we should do, control our borders.

00:09:16.000 But Joe Biden seems to think that if he leaves the border wide open,

00:09:19.000 that everybody is in favor of that And here's the thing, he is bleeding Hispanic and Latino support.

00:09:24.000 And there are a wide variety of reasons for why he is bleeding Hispanic-Latino support, but he's focused on exactly the wrong minorities in terms of electoral turnout.

00:09:32.000 One of the most amazing things about the way that we have broken things down in terms of the intersectional hierarchy is that because the left believes that victimhood status is the ultimate arbiter of value, they've politically appealed to people on the basis of their victimhood status Which is politically stupid, because if you are actually going to game out how to create a victorious coalition, you should look at the number of people in each supposed subgroup.

00:09:56.000 But Democrats don't do that. 0.99

00:09:57.000 They decide that they're going to focus on subgroups based on where they stand in the intersectional hierarchy.

00:10:02.000 So, for example, they'll talk about transing the kids.

00:10:04.000 It doesn't matter.

00:10:05.000 That a very, very small percentage of Americans are in favor of that.

00:10:10.000 A vanishingly small percentage of Americans are in favor of that.

00:10:13.000 That is an issue that's high on the intersectional hierarchy, so it gets a lot of attention, and it alienates the other 98% of voters.

00:10:19.000 The Democratic Party will talk about systemic racism, keeping black Americans down, never mind the fact that most Americans don't actually believe that.

00:10:27.000 They'll talk about that because they believe that that ranks high on the intersectional values list.

00:10:31.000 And never mind the fact That black Americans are actually not the largest minority group in the United States.

00:10:37.000 By far, the largest minority group in the United States is Hispanic Americans.

00:10:41.000 And you can't even get them right.

00:10:43.000 Everybody mocked Donald Trump when he ate from a taco bowl.

00:10:45.000 He said, happy Cinco de Mayo.

00:10:46.000 And they're like, OK, well, you know, he's obviously mocking Hispanic.

00:10:48.000 He doesn't understand the plight of Hispanic Americans.

00:10:51.000 But it is Jill Biden who's going out there telling people how Hispanics are like breakfast tacos. 1.00

00:10:57.000 And it's Joe Biden who's out there saying that Hispanics must love open borders.

00:11:01.000 I mean, let me tell you something.

00:11:03.000 Donald Trump eating a taco bowl is certainly less offensive to Hispanic Americans than the baseline idea that all Hispanic Americans are in favor of vast illegal immigration.

00:11:11.000 It's not true.

00:11:13.000 And not only that, it turns out that if you want to alienate Hispanic Americans, the best way to do that is to suggest that there's an intersectional hierarchy in which Black Americans are put down by the evil boot of the United States, and Hispanic Americans are somehow exempt from that. 0.87

00:11:26.000 Because here's the thing about Hispanic Americans. 0.63

00:11:28.000 Hispanic Americans are upwardly mobile by numbers.

00:11:31.000 Hispanic Americans, by numbers, agree with the idea of the American Dream.

00:11:34.000 You know why?

00:11:35.000 Because they have participated in the American Dream in terms of upward economic mobility.

00:11:40.000 Now, so have a lot of black Americans, obviously, but the entire media are dedicated to the proposition that black Americans are kept down by the evil racist American system, and Hispanic Americans are not kept down by the evil American system, according to that same media.

00:11:54.000 Which means that either they're participants in it, or they're sort of ignored by it.

00:11:58.000 And Hispanic Americans look at America, they say, you know what?

00:12:00.000 This is a pretty great place.

00:12:02.000 This is a pretty awesome place.

00:12:03.000 I came here with literally nothing.

00:12:04.000 I crossed that border with nothing, with my wife, maybe a kid.

00:12:08.000 And I started off working a job at a restaurant for nothing, and now I own the restaurant.

00:12:13.000 Now, I'm looking at the numbers right here, and again, this bizarre vision of white upper-crust liberals that Hispanic Americans are a bunch of impoverished people mired in absolute penury for their entire lives, that's not true at all.

00:12:27.000 It's simply not true.

00:12:29.000 The simple reason that Latino voters have been turning to the right, even the left is recognizing this in terms of the media now, the reason that's happening is because they are upwardly mobile, economically speaking, somewhat socially conservative, significantly more socially conservative than the Democratic Party.

00:12:43.000 Those are the reasons.

00:12:45.000 We'll get to more on this in just a moment.

00:12:46.000 First, civics education in America is not just low, it's at an alarming all-time low.

00:12:52.000 Shockingly, studies show that less than half of high school students are not familiar with the Bill of Rights.

00:12:56.000 It's a pressing issue, but there is a beacon of hope.

00:12:58.000 Let me introduce you to Flag USA, an organization that's not just fighting back, but making a significant difference by educating our kids about America's founding documents.

00:13:06.000 They have student resources to help students better understand the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

00:13:11.000 They also have guides for parents, grandparents, and teachers.

00:13:13.000 You name it, Flag has it.

00:13:15.000 These kid-friendly resources were written in partnership with the great Justice Antonin Scalia and his team, so you know your kids are getting the truth.

00:13:21.000 We have to start educating our kids on why the Constitution and Declaration of Independence are so important.

00:13:26.000 We can't expect them to fight for freedom if they don't know what it is.

00:13:29.000 Go to flagusa.org slash shop.

00:13:32.000 Use promo code Ben for an exclusive discount.

00:13:34.000 Grab these booklets for your kids, grandkids, neighbors, and teachers.

00:13:37.000 Again, that's flagusa.org slash shop.

00:13:39.000 Use promo code Ben and help out the next generation to learn about the things they need to know.

00:13:44.000 According to Keith Humphries, this is, again, on MSNBC, November 2022.

00:13:48.000 Most Latinos voted for Democrats in the 2022 elections, but Republican support among Hispanic voters has grown by 10 points since 2018, continuing a dozen-year trend of America's largest ethnic minority group drifting in a more politically conservative direction.

00:14:02.000 So why exactly is this happening?

00:14:04.000 Because start with health and upward mobility.

00:14:07.000 Latino's life expectancy in the United States exceeds that of whites by about three years.

00:14:11.000 In the five years prior to the pandemic, Hispanic median household income grew more than twice as much as whites and faster than black and Asian Americans as well.

00:14:19.000 Both of these advantages are buttressed by Hispanic gains in education.

00:14:21.000 According to the National Center on Educational Statistics, from 2010 to 2020, the high school dropout rate of Hispanics fell by more than half, from 15.1% to 7.4%, approaching the national average of 5.3%.

00:14:30.000 percent, approaching the national average of 5.3 percent.

00:14:33.000 From 2000 to 2018, the college enrollment rate of Hispanics aged 18 to 24 increased

00:14:38.000 by more than half, from 22 percent to 36 percent, also approaching the national average, which

00:14:42.000 is 41 percent.

00:14:45.000 In this year's entering class at the University of California, this is 2022, the largest racial 0.99

00:14:48.000 and ethnic group is Hispanics.

00:14:50.000 So, thank you.

00:14:51.000 Some observers were surprised more Latinos didn't vote to restore affirmative action in the UC system, but if you're the largest group being amended, you don't need affirmative action in the UC system.

00:14:59.000 All of these successes have shaped Hispanics' view of their country.

00:15:02.000 A 2021 survey by Pew found Latinos see the United States as offering more economic opportunity, better conditions for raising children, and better access to healthcare services than the countries in which they were born.

00:15:12.000 Or, in the case of US-born Hispanics, in the countries in which their ancestors were born. 0.83

00:15:17.000 So in other words, Hispanics think this is a pretty freaking great country. 0.96

00:15:21.000 Because it is, in fact, a pretty damned great country. 0.98

00:15:24.000 And guess who thinks that this country stinks and needs to be fundamentally transformed? 0.99

00:15:28.000 Democrats!

00:15:29.000 That does not agree with the Hispanic population.

00:15:32.000 Another fascinating poll about Latino voters from November 7, 2022.

00:15:35.000 This is a Pew Research poll.

00:15:37.000 And it breaks down Republicans by group.

00:15:40.000 They say, effectively, that there are five Republican groups.

00:15:43.000 And these five Republican groups are what they call faith and flag conservatives, who have become traditional conservatives, conservative on nearly every issue.

00:15:50.000 They want Christianity more prominent in public life.

00:15:53.000 Only about 16% of Hispanics who are Republicans, or lean Republican, consider themselves faith and flag conservatives.

00:16:00.000 Then there are committed conservatives, who can be very conservative on most issues, particularly economics, and favor a hawkish foreign policy.

00:16:08.000 Those people, only 12% of Hispanics, consider themselves in the committed conservative group.

00:16:13.000 So that's only 28% of Hispanics who consider themselves faith and flag conservatives or committed conservatives.

00:16:18.000 Then there's the populist right.

00:16:19.000 That'd be highly restrictive views about immigration, very critical of the fairness of the economic system.

00:16:24.000 This would be sort of the J.D.

00:16:25.000 Vance right.

00:16:26.000 Only 14% of Hispanic voters count themselves in that group.

00:16:30.000 Then there's the ambivalent right.

00:16:32.000 Those are people who are sort of moderate on immigration and some social issues.

00:16:35.000 They don't really feel at home in either party, but they have conservative views about the government and the social safety net.

00:16:42.000 21% of Hispanics consider themselves part of this group.

00:16:45.000 And then there are these stressed sideliners.

00:16:47.000 And here's how Pew describes these people.

00:16:49.000 Mixed political views, lean slightly liberal economically, more conservative in other domains.

00:16:53.000 27% of Hispanics count themselves part of this group.

00:16:57.000 So in other words, the areas of the right where Hispanics are overrepresented are among people who are ambivalent right and stress sideliners.

00:17:03.000 So what happened here?

00:17:03.000 The Democrats actively alienated these people by moving too much to the left.

00:17:07.000 That's what happened.

00:17:08.000 The Democrats said to these people that you are a minority that we don't care about because you're too economically mobile.

00:17:14.000 The Democrats said to this subgroup of people, you probably just want an open border.

00:17:17.000 And if we cater to an open border, you'll probably like that.

00:17:19.000 They don't want an open border.

00:17:21.000 And so Joe Biden is bleeding minorities.

00:17:23.000 Here is CNN's Harry Enten explaining that Joe Biden is getting smoked among Hispanics.

00:17:29.000 And President Biden has been courting Latino voters in the Southwest.

00:17:33.000 Where does he stand?

00:17:34.000 Yeah, so you know, you might think, you know, that Hispanic voters might be the types of folks who would have a backlash against Donald Trump's remarks, right?

00:17:41.000 Ain't the case.

00:17:42.000 If you ask Hispanic voters who do they trust more on border security and immigration, overwhelmingly they trust Donald Trump more by a tremendous margin.

00:17:51.000 Look at that, 49% to 24%.

00:17:54.000 And that is in line with what we're seeing in the polls in general amongst Hispanics.

00:17:58.000 Okay, if Joe Biden gets those numbers, he's going to lose.

00:18:03.000 If he doesn't draw Hispanic voters, he's going to lose.

00:18:06.000 By the way, his number among black voters, not very high.

00:18:09.000 And it is not just Harry Enten who's pointing this out.

00:18:13.000 It's at the New York Times as well.

00:18:15.000 The New York Times has an entire piece from David Leonhardt talking about Joe Biden bleeding minority support.

00:18:22.000 He says, quote, after Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016, many political scientists

00:18:26.000 and pundits came forth with a simple explanation. Trump had won, they said, because of white

00:18:29.000 Americans' racial resentment. I never found this argument to be persuasive. Yes, race played a 0.97

00:18:34.000 meaningful role in Trump's victory, but politics is rarely monocausal.

00:18:38.000 And there are good reasons to believe the 2016 election was complex, too.

00:18:41.000 Eight years later, the it's all racial resentment argument doesn't look merely questionable.

00:18:44.000 It looks wrong.

00:18:45.000 Wrong.

00:18:46.000 Remember, this is the entire basis of Joe Biden's campaign. 0.98

00:18:48.000 Joe Biden's campaign is Donald Trump is a white supremacist. 0.56

00:18:51.000 If he could have, he would've been marching with the marchers at Charlottesville. 0.93

00:18:54.000 If Donald Trump could do it, he would be making little Nikki Fuentes his secretary of defense or some such nonsense. 0.99

00:19:00.000 That is garbage, and it's not true. 0.98

00:19:02.000 Not only is it not true, it's a bad campaign tactic. 0.98

00:19:05.000 As David Leonhardt points out, a defining feature of American politics has been the rightward shift of voters of color.

00:19:10.000 Asian, Black, Hispanic voters have all become less likely to support Democratic candidates and more likely to support Republicans, including Trump.

00:19:17.000 In each group, the trend is pronounced among working-class voters defined as those without a four-year college degree.

00:19:22.000 Now, I think Republicans can make a similarly foolish mistake by thinking that the reason that these voters are moving into the Trump camp is because big government spending.

00:19:30.000 That is not why. 0.77

00:19:31.000 They're being alienated by the left.

00:19:33.000 By and large, Americans believe that this is an awesome country and the things that made America awesome, namely, The ability to pursue the American dream, to build something for your family, the fact that your parents or grandparents came here with nothing and now you live a pretty good life and your kids will live an even better life.

00:19:48.000 That is the thing that they want and they don't think the government is the thing that helped their grandparents or parents do that or them do that.

00:19:54.000 They think they did it or their parents did it or their grandparents did that.

00:19:58.000 According to David Leonhardt, He says, if anything, Democrats' weakness among voters of color appears to have intensified since 2022.

00:20:06.000 Among white voters, President Biden has about as much support as he did four years ago.

00:20:09.000 Nate Cohn, the Times' chief political analyst, has pointed this out.

00:20:12.000 But Biden's support among Black, Hispanic, and Asian voters has plummeted.

00:20:16.000 As John Burns Murdoch, the chief data reporter at the Financial Times wrote last week, quote, I think this is simultaneously one of the most important social trends in the United States today and one of the most poorly understood.

00:20:27.000 And that is right.

00:20:28.000 That is right.

00:20:28.000 It is one of the most poorly understood trends.

00:20:30.000 And it's because Democrats have embraced the precise opposite of what many minority groups in America want.

00:20:36.000 Upward mobility.

00:20:37.000 Stability.

00:20:39.000 Family-based conservatism.

00:20:41.000 Meaning, leave my family alone and let me go to my church.

00:20:44.000 These are things that most people who come to the United States want.

00:20:48.000 And those are things that the Democrats are currently fighting against.

00:20:50.000 And that is why Joe Biden is bleeding support, and it's true in every area of his campaign.

00:20:54.000 Every area of his campaign, he continues to pander to the most radical members of his group.

00:21:01.000 And I don't understand what his logic is, just on a political level. 1.00

00:21:03.000 It's unbelievably stupid. 1.00

00:21:06.000 And then he thinks that he's going to please people by doing performative politics. 1.00

00:21:10.000 We'll get to more on this in just a second.

00:21:11.000 First, a child's life is molded by his or her home, school, friends, community.

00:21:15.000 A positive experience in all those areas helps build a healthy child.

00:22:01.000 Call now or visit cars4kids.org slash ben, get the ball rolling.

00:22:05.000 That's cars with a K and the number four, cars4kids.org slash ben.

00:22:10.000 So the latest example of performative politics from the Biden administration is that the Biden DOJ is now suing Apple.

00:22:16.000 Now let me just tell you something about Apple.

00:22:19.000 There are not that many people who hate Apple.

00:22:21.000 There just aren't.

00:22:23.000 About 70% of Americans own an iPhone.

00:22:26.000 Most Americans are pretty happy with their iPhone.

00:22:28.000 You know how you know, because they're paying more for their iPhone than they are paying for an Android.

00:22:32.000 They like the iPhone because it is an extremely user-friendly product.

00:22:35.000 They like Apple's products.

00:22:37.000 Their computers, their AirPods, the iPads.

00:22:40.000 They like all of those things because they're incredibly effective and user-friendly.

00:22:44.000 So naturally, the Biden DOJ is now going after Apple.

00:22:46.000 What is the constituency for this?

00:22:48.000 Who are the people who are like, oh man, I'm so glad they're finally gonna make Apple less effective and break it up and make it work worse.

00:22:53.000 What I really need is for the government to step in and break up Apple so that my iPhone doesn't work as well as it does right now.

00:22:59.000 The entire argument, by the way, between Apple and, for example, Microsoft, is that Steve Jobs wanted Apple to build closed systems.

00:23:07.000 Microsoft is an open system, meaning that Microsoft can be uploaded on Android, it can be used with a variety of technologies, and this was a big ideological debate between Steve Jobs, who wanted everything self-contained, so when you opened the phone, everything was kind of working within a system, and Bill Gates, who wanted everything to be much more open on an ideological level.

00:23:26.000 And there are good arguments on both sides.

00:23:28.000 But the idea that Apple presents an actual monopolistic problem in a market where they control maybe 60, 65% of the market, on a statistical level, it's absolutely not a monopoly.

00:23:39.000 And when it comes to the idea that this is bad for consumers, you're gonna have to make the case that it's really, really bad for consumers when consumers continue to consume the product at extraordinarily high rates and be happy with the product.

00:23:49.000 What this really is, is an attempt to gain headlines with the upper crust white liberals Who really hate Apple or something?

00:23:57.000 I just don't know who's the constituency for this.

00:23:59.000 It's bad as a matter of antitrust law, but how many people actually care about antitrust law?

00:24:04.000 Does he think that blue-collar workers like, man, I'm so glad they're going to break up Apple now.

00:24:07.000 Blue-collar workers aren't going to vote for Joe Biden because his DOJ is going after Apple. 0.94

00:24:11.000 Here's Merrick Garland slamming Apple yesterday for some of the dumbest possible reasons.

00:24:16.000 And, as any iPhone user who has ever seen a green text message or received a tiny, grainy video can attest, Apple's anti-competitive conduct also includes making it more difficult for iPhone users to message with users of non-Apple products.

00:24:34.000 It does this by diminishing the functionality of its own messaging app and by diminishing the functionality of third-party messaging apps.

00:24:44.000 By doing so, Apple knowingly and deliberately degrades quality, privacy, and security for its users.

00:24:52.000 For example, if an iPhone user messages a non-iPhone user in Apple Messages, the text appears not only as a green bubble, but incorporates limited functionality.

00:25:04.000 The conversation is not encrypted, videos are pixelated and grainy, and users cannot edit messages or see typing indicators.

00:25:13.000 As a result, iPhone users perceive rival smartphones as being lower quality because the experience of messaging friends and family who do not own iPhones is worse.

00:25:26.000 Wait, so you mean that Apple doesn't want to subsidize Android?

00:25:29.000 That's what he's saying right there.

00:25:30.000 He's saying Apple doesn't want to do cryptography for messages with Android.

00:25:35.000 And if Android wants to upgrade its own abilities, then it should upgrade its own abilities.

00:25:38.000 Is that a monopoly problem?

00:25:40.000 Like who's the crowd for this?

00:25:42.000 This is like the big headline.

00:25:43.000 So what happened?

00:25:44.000 Apple stock gets hit.

00:25:45.000 You know how much Apple stock is being held by 401ks right now?

00:25:48.000 By teacher pension funds?

00:25:49.000 A lot.

00:25:50.000 The answer is a lot.

00:25:51.000 But these are the kind of... Joe Biden is just appealing to this very small cadre of people who are so in their own heads.

00:25:58.000 And frankly, up their own colons, that they don't even know what the American people want anymore.

00:26:02.000 It's truly an amazing thing.

00:26:04.000 Apparently, Biden thinks that he's going to be able to escape the impact of his terrible presidency with cash.

00:26:10.000 So Joe Biden right now has a monster cash advantage over Donald Trump in terms of the presidential race.

00:26:15.000 According to Axios, his presidential campaign committee has $71 million on hand compared to Trump's $33.5 million.

00:26:22.000 The DNC has $27 million on hand compared to the RNC's $11 million.

00:26:25.000 And so that massive funding advantage he thinks is going to translate to victory.

00:26:29.000 So I have a theory.

00:26:31.000 I have a theory.

00:26:31.000 The theory is that money is not going to matter all that much in this election.

00:26:35.000 The reason I say that is because money is no longer a proxy for victory in elections.

00:26:40.000 Money can help you, marginally, but it's not as though there's no name recognition for Donald Trump.

00:26:45.000 If this were, for example, Joe Biden dumping hundreds of millions of dollars on, say, Nikki Haley or Ron DeSantis, then you could say that the money might have an effect.

00:26:53.000 But everyone knows what they think of Trump already, and everybody knows what they think of Biden already.

00:26:57.000 The people in the middle are just gonna have to make a call, which is, was I better off in 2019?

00:27:01.000 I'm skipping 2020 because it's nobody's fault what happens during a pandemic.

00:27:05.000 It is your fault if you continue to blow out the money after the pandemic in 2021, but in any case, Were you better off in 2019 or are you better off in 2024?

00:28:12.000 We'll get to more on this in a moment.

00:28:13.000 First, it's important to realize that for most of the global community, the question of where their next meal will come from is a constant pressing concern.

00:28:20.000 This urgency is a reality for many, even if it's not a thought that crosses your mind often.

00:28:24.000 Behind the staggering statistics about food insecurity amongst the most vulnerable, the children, there are individual stories like Brandon's.

00:28:31.000 Little Brandon and his family live in a rural city in Guatemala.

00:28:33.000 His mom tries to care for him and his little brother as best she can, but it's not enough.

00:28:37.000 Earning a living is very difficult where they live.

00:28:39.000 Accessing food is even harder.

00:28:40.000 For too many moms and dads, There are often no safety nets to be found and help from their neighbors, social programs, even the government.

00:28:45.000 When these kids get sick from hunger, their bodies become weak.

00:28:48.000 Something as simple as a cold could be devastating.

00:28:50.000 Every dollar you give translates into meals, nourishment, and a chance for a better tomorrow.

00:28:54.000 Thanks to a meal-for-meal match, a donation of 80 bucks can feed two kids for an entire year.

00:28:58.000 160 bucks would feed four kids.

00:28:59.000 You can do the math.

00:29:00.000 When you donate to Food for the Poor, you're not just giving, you're joining a collective effort.

00:29:04.000 Donate right now by texting Ben Shapiro to 51555 or by visiting foodforthepoor.org slash Shapiro.

00:29:09.000 That's Ben Shapiro to 51555 or foodforthepoor.org slash Shapiro.

00:29:10.000 That's Ben Shapiro to 51555 or foodforthepoor.org slash Shapiro again, Ben Shapiro to 51555.

00:29:18.000 Meanwhile, Joe Biden, like this snide kind of insanity where 0.99

00:29:22.000 the stupidest legal case I've ever seen. 1.00

00:29:25.000 Like there are a bunch of legal cases against Donald Trump. 1.00

00:29:27.000 And I've been honest with you about which ones are stronger and which ones are weaker.

00:29:30.000 By far the strongest case against Donald Trump is the classified documents case from Mar-a-Lago in Florida.

00:29:35.000 That is the strongest case against Donald Trump.

00:29:36.000 Now, is that a politically motivated case?

00:29:39.000 Of course it's a politically motivated case.

00:29:41.000 Joe Biden was keeping classified documents in his car, everywhere else for dozens of years.

00:29:47.000 With that said, the case against Trump, legally speaking, is strongest there.

00:29:52.000 But the single weakest case against Donald Trump is the civil fraud case brought by Letitia James against Donald Trump in the state of New York, where they are currently holding him up at gunpoint for almost $500 million.

00:30:01.000 And the goal of this is to bankrupt Trump, and apparently to allow Joe Biden to talk about bankrupting Trump.

00:30:07.000 Well, it looks to me as though you have an administration and its allies that are targeting the political opponent of that administration and trying to personally bankrupt him by charging him hundreds of millions of dollars in order to convict him civilly of something you couldn't do criminally.

00:30:23.000 They couldn't charge him with criminal fraud because they couldn't meet the burden.

00:30:26.000 So they went to civil fraud, which is a preponderance of the evidence standard.

00:30:29.000 And then they fined him half a billion dollars based on loans that he took that he repaid Which is totally crazy.

00:30:38.000 But you still have Joe Biden who's joking about Trump being in debt because of this.

00:30:42.000 Does this look like a winning strategy to you?

00:30:44.000 Because when Donald Trump says they are trying to stop me by using every means that they will throw the kitchen sink at me, he's not wrong.

00:30:50.000 He happens to be right.

00:30:50.000 And the more Joe Biden says stuff like this, the more sympathetic Trump becomes.

00:30:53.000 And it's not just Joe Biden.

00:30:54.000 It's all of his allies.

00:30:55.000 You have Jimmy Kimmel joking about Donald Trump's wealth.

00:30:59.000 Here is Jimmy Kimmel making fun of Donald Trump.

00:31:01.000 Now, again, they're fining him half a billion dollars for not really doing anything to damage anyone.

00:31:08.000 But Jimmy Kimmel is going to mock Trump now about that.

00:31:12.000 The great white supremacist has until money to come up with.

00:31:17.000 A $464 million bond or the state may seize and sell his property.

00:31:22.000 Trump said nobody has ever heard of anything like this before.

00:31:26.000 Trump needs cash and we never heard it and most of the crazy stuff you do before but I mean nobody ever heard of the president changing the weather with a sharpie before either.

00:31:36.000 Something tells me over the weekend Trump's going to start talking about how strong Vladimir Putin is and then suddenly a dump truck full of rubles will pull up and cover this for him. 0.95

00:31:44.000 But of course the real loser here is Melania. 1.00

00:31:47.000 She may end up with half of the nothing he owns now. 0.99

00:31:50.000 I hope she got an advance on that prenup because if you think she hates him now, wait until he's poor. 0.99

00:31:58.000 I'm sorry, this is such obnoxious garbage. 1.00

00:32:00.000 So first of all, the notion that Russia paid off Trump is so stupid and discredited, but there's still trafficking in this. 0.99

00:32:06.000 Remember, Donald Trump is fake news and untrustworthy, but they will still have Jimmy Kimmel years later suggesting that Vladimir Putin paid off Donald Trump for some unspecified reason. 0.99

00:32:16.000 Meanwhile, even CNN is admitting that a huge percentage of the Letitia James case is just bullcrap.

00:32:22.000 So, for example, Trump had suggested a value on Mar-a-Lago, and Letitia James suggested that that value was inflated.

00:32:30.000 What did she suggest the value of Mar-a-Lago was?

00:32:32.000 She suggested the value of Mar-a-Lago was like $18 million. 1.00

00:32:35.000 That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my entire life. 1.00

00:32:38.000 That's unbelievably stupid. 1.00

00:32:40.000 Have you ever been to Mar-a-Lago? 1.00

00:32:41.000 It's a giant hotel complex.

00:32:42.000 It is not worth $18 million.

00:32:43.000 That's absurd.

00:32:47.000 $18 million in like a nice neighborhood of Florida.

00:32:49.000 A nice, like a really nice neighborhood of Florida.

00:32:52.000 $18 million will buy you maybe five houses. 0.97

00:32:54.000 Not a giant ass complex like Mar-a-Lago. 0.94

00:32:58.000 Here's CNN admitting as much. 0.82

00:33:01.000 You need at least 30 days to get any of these properties sold.

00:33:05.000 But the property that you alluded to, Mar-a-Lago, potentially, that could be something that could be sold quickly.

00:33:11.000 I think the valuation is something in the hundreds of millions, and I think there could be a buyer for something like that.

00:33:18.000 So, alright, now that's $240 million estimated.

00:33:20.000 I mean, who knows?

00:33:21.000 You know, he's a desperate seller.

00:33:23.000 In this case, someone picks up the phone and makes that call this week.

00:33:26.000 Okay, so again, it's just an absurdity.

00:33:29.000 The entire case is an absurdity, but Democrats are jumping on it and they're reveling in it.

00:33:33.000 So here's the thing, when you revel in the political targeting of your opponent, maybe it feels good, but it actually is not going to write down to your political benefit.

00:33:41.000 It's not going to work well for you.

00:33:43.000 All right, coming up, we'll get to the Republicans in the House who are trying to cram through another giant $1.2 trillion spending bill that contains just a grab bag of junk.

00:34:25.000 Okay, meanwhile.

00:34:27.000 Now, speaking of the Biden administration being completely disconnected from the American people, again, when you're talking about upward mobility and the disconnection that the Biden administration has from regular Americans, it's not just, you know, kind of on an imagistic level, making fun of Trump and all that kind of stuff.

00:34:41.000 They really do hate capitalism.

00:34:43.000 A lot of the Democrats.

00:34:45.000 This is why when Joe Biden always says, I don't hate capitalism.

00:34:47.000 Make money again.

00:34:48.000 Just pay your fair share.

00:34:50.000 And then he falls over.

00:34:52.000 When that happens, nobody believes him.

00:34:54.000 And the reason no one believes him is because the left flank of his party does not actually like capitalism.

00:34:57.000 Again, going back to the idea that Hispanic Americans particularly like upward mobility.

00:35:02.000 And most Americans actually are a huge fan of upward mobility.

00:35:06.000 This is why whenever anyone says that America is built on the middle class, no, America is built on the people who at some point in their lives are middle class and then spend the rest of their life trying to get out of the middle class and up to the upper middle class or the upper class.

00:35:19.000 There is no such thing in the United States as a permanent middle class.

00:35:22.000 That is not a thing.

00:35:23.000 The people who constitute the middle class... 0.99

00:35:25.000 Very often that is a transitory state.

00:35:27.000 I was middle class for a large portion of my life, and then I wasn't middle class anymore.

00:35:31.000 And that's what everyone is trying to do.

00:35:33.000 This is why even when Republicans talk about, you know, there's the lower class and the middle class and the upper class, that is not a class.

00:35:39.000 When people talk about American classes the same way they talk about like the British class system from the 18th century, not the same thing.

00:35:45.000 There are no Lords or Lairds here.

00:35:47.000 That is not a thing.

00:35:48.000 Many of the people who are the richest people you know started off as very, very not rich people.

00:35:53.000 Including, for example, Elon Musk, who started off dirt poor in the United States.

00:35:56.000 No, he was not the scion of an emerald mine.

00:35:58.000 Read his biography or talk to him. 0.98

00:36:01.000 But the Democrats seem to believe this sort of crap, and that's not a particularly nice vision of the American dream that they are selling. 0.97

00:36:06.000 So, for example, yesterday, the Squad held a press conference talking about how the government should spend more money on housing. 0.99

00:36:15.000 You know we have a housing affordability crisis, which means, presumably, that the government should step in to make everything more affordable.

00:36:20.000 Because if there's one thing that we know about the government, it's that it makes things more affordable.

00:36:24.000 Oh wait, that's precisely the opposite of every single good or service the government has ever gotten involved in.

00:36:29.000 Every single good or service that the government has ever gotten seriously involved in, in terms of subsidization, for example, has gotten wildly more expensive over the years, whether you're talking about education or healthcare. 0.99

00:36:40.000 But here's Jamal Bowman, A man so stupid he can't tell the difference between a fire alarm and a door opening device. 0.95

00:36:47.000 Suggesting that if you pay more than 20% of your salary in rent that you are a member of the plantation capitalism class. 1.00

00:36:55.000 But how many people aren't so lucky and aren't so fortunate and have been left behind by our elected officials for far too long?

00:37:05.000 Too many!

00:37:07.000 And that's why we have this unhoused crisis all over this country.

00:37:12.000 It is plantation capitalism to have someone paying 40, 50, 60% of their salary towards rent.

00:37:24.000 That is plantation capitalism.

00:37:27.000 Rent should be capped at 20% of someone's salary.

00:37:31.000 That's where we need to take it. 0.95

00:37:35.000 And AOC's standing there like the dolt that she is, just smiling at, yeah, we should cap it at 20%. 0.72

00:37:39.000 Okay, you got any, how? 0.97

00:37:41.000 How?

00:37:42.000 You'd have to put rental caps on the amount of money people can charge, which means no one will build a building ever again.

00:37:49.000 Or you're going to have to inflate the currency, which will temporarily increase the amount of pay vis-a-vis rent, and then rent will increase.

00:37:56.000 That's pretty much all you got. 0.98

00:37:57.000 When you say that you're going to build affordable housing from the government, for example, those turn into the housing projects that are complete crap and garbage that end up having to be torn down. 0.99

00:38:07.000 It's just, it's ridiculous. 0.98

00:38:09.000 But AOC says we need a Green New Deal for public housing.

00:38:12.000 A Green New Deal.

00:38:13.000 Yeah, that's what we need.

00:38:13.000 We need another... God.

00:38:16.000 The use of the term New Deal to mean anything that you think that it should mean, despite the fact the New Deal was one of the least effective programs in American history?

00:38:24.000 And probably lengthened the Great Depression by solidly eight years, according to UCLA economists.

00:38:28.000 Here is AOC promoting... Her Green New Deal was so successful, she's now ready to do an Affordable Housing New Deal.

00:38:35.000 This new deal for public housing would immediately replenish the multi-billion dollar backlog for public housing repairs.

00:38:42.000 It would repeal the Fair Cloth Amendment.

00:38:44.000 It would invest up to $234 billion over 10 years to preserve, upgrade, and expand our public housing stock.

00:38:52.000 It would bring public housing down to zero carbon emissions while creating 280,000 jobs in America.

00:38:57.000 80,000 jobs in America. It would end the era of government neglect,

00:39:03.000 demolition and privatization of our public housing.

00:39:06.000 Bye-bye.

00:39:07.000 .

00:39:10.000 Just... Absurd people.

00:39:12.000 Absurd people.

00:39:13.000 The pathway to the American dream is not the government building you affordable housing.

00:39:15.000 It is not.

00:39:16.000 You know who had affordable housing built by the government?

00:39:18.000 The Soviets. 0.77

00:39:18.000 It didn't work out amazing. 0.77

00:39:20.000 It's always funny to me when people are like, why can't we have architecture like the Russians do?

00:39:24.000 Walk outside of central Moscow and you will see why.

00:39:27.000 Brutalism is like the dominant theme in architecture in Russia for a reason.

00:39:32.000 Meanwhile, the Republicans are now infighting over the latest giant budget buster that they're going to pass, presumably.

00:39:39.000 As I said, when Kevin McCarthy was ousted as Speaker of the House, the problem is not the leadership of the House Republican Caucus.

00:39:45.000 The problem is you have a tiny, tiny majority, and a Democratic Senate, and a Democratic President, and it didn't switch any of the incentive structures to simply swap out McCarthy for Mike Johnson.

00:39:54.000 I like Mike Johnson.

00:39:55.000 I think Mike Johnson is a great guy.

00:39:56.000 I don't understand why everyone thought this was going to magically solve the problem.

00:40:00.000 As Thomas Sowell has said repeatedly, as he says in his book, Knowledge and Decisions, it's the incentive structures that make the decision happen.

00:40:06.000 It's not switching out the individuals in the vast majority of circumstances.

00:40:10.000 Well, currently, according to Politico, Speaker Johnson is plowing forward with his plan to fund the government at a cost.

00:40:15.000 House conservatives have renewed their threats that any action against the Louisiana Republican are now on the table, incensed over the latest spending deal that Johnson reached with Democrats, and how quickly he's pushing the legislation to the floor.

00:40:24.000 And this is what happens.

00:40:25.000 When you can't come to consensus within your own caucus, you end up at 2.30 in the morning dropping 1,200-page bills.

00:40:30.000 He's got a fractious caucus with a tiny majority, and he understands that a government shutdown is going to be very bad for, for example, Donald Trump's re-elect prospects, which is why Trump has really not said very much about this minibus, as they're calling it, bill.

00:40:42.000 In the past, Representative Ralph Norman, according to Politico, had broadly defended Johnson and dismissed talk of taking direct action against him, such as calling a vote to remove him from the speakership.

00:40:51.000 After leadership released legislative text for the massive spending bill in the middle of the night, Norman fired a direct warning shot.

00:40:56.000 He said, we'll just see.

00:40:56.000 I like Mike as a person.

00:40:58.000 He's honest.

00:40:59.000 I just don't know if it's in his DNA to fight.

00:41:01.000 This is just sad.

00:41:03.000 So the reality is that, again, it's a bad bill and all these bills are going to remain bad until Republicans actually have control of the Senate and the presidency.

00:41:11.000 And then maybe the bills will get slightly better if passed is any indicator.

00:41:15.000 Because when Trump was president and Republicans controlled the Senate and the House, they also passed giant spending bills.

00:41:21.000 So what exactly is in this bill?

00:41:22.000 Well, an enormous amount of pork.

00:41:24.000 A huge amount of pork.

00:41:26.000 So Chip Roy, who's the most consistently conservative person in terms of spending in the House of Representatives, he was ripping on the bill.

00:41:32.000 He basically said any Republican who votes for this should be ashamed.

00:41:36.000 If you care about the border, you're getting nothing here.

00:41:39.000 It is completely false to say that we're getting anything here that will help, and in fact, what we're going to get is more money to process more people, which means you're going to get more people at the border.

00:41:49.000 Nothing is going to stop the flow of the border in this bill, so we're funding open borders, we're funding the mass releases of people in violation of the law, using parole, the same laws that were violated to release the individual who came in and killed Lake and Riley.

00:42:02.000 I can't do that.

00:42:03.000 No Republican should.

00:42:04.000 Any Republican who votes for this bill should be ashamed of themselves.

00:42:08.000 Okay, well, he is not wrong that in a vacuum, that is true.

00:42:12.000 Now, Republicans are not getting much out of this bill.

00:42:14.000 This is the biggest problem, is that, let's be real about this.

00:42:17.000 Of the $1.2 trillion that will be spent to fund the government, the vast, vast, vast majority is not on all the earmarked projects you're gonna hear about. 0.94

00:42:23.000 And many of those earmarked projects are indeed garbage.

00:42:25.000 You're talking about like hundreds of thousands of dollars to groups that push trans propaganda, or you're talking about millions of dollars, literally millions of dollars, to groups that facilitate illegal immigration at the southern border. 0.98

00:42:35.000 All of that is crap and it should be stripped out, and Republicans should make it an issue to strip that stuff out, politically speaking. 0.94

00:42:41.000 They should. 0.97

00:42:42.000 They should say, we're not going to pass this with this provision in it.

00:42:44.000 We're just stripping it out.

00:42:45.000 But the real debt drivers are not this.

00:42:48.000 The real debt drivers are all the massive income transfers that amount to Social Security, Medicare, welfare programs.

00:42:55.000 All of that stuff is the stuff that is currently driving the amount of spending in these bills.

00:42:59.000 And until there's a fundamental restructuring of how spending is done in the United States, everything is going to be cutting around the margins.

00:43:05.000 And this is why Mike Johnson is saying defunding the government is not going to fix the problem.

00:43:09.000 It's not as though the spending is going to go to a level that is actually appropriate.

00:43:12.000 Now, what that means is that if Republicans promise that when they get into office, they're going to bring this under control, they actually have to do it.

00:43:18.000 And you can talk about the power of the purse all you want, but when you have a five-seat majority in the House of Representatives and a very high possibility that you lose the House of Representatives and Democrats then get to spend as much as they want, Is that what you want in a contentious election year?

00:43:31.000 That is the big question.

00:43:33.000 Well, meanwhile, the Biden administration in a very bizarre attempt to, again, gain back these radical voters.

00:43:39.000 There are just not enough of these voters to make the difference up between loss and victory in states like Michigan.

00:43:44.000 Brand new poll from CNN shows Donald Trump up in Michigan by 8.8.

00:43:48.000 That is not because of our voters in Michigan.

00:43:51.000 That is because blue collar workers in Michigan hate Joe Biden and think he's a bad president.

00:43:54.000 That's the reason.

00:43:56.000 But Joe Biden thinks that he is going to appeal to Michiganders who presumably hate the state of Israel. 0.97

00:44:02.000 Maybe some people like the like the devotees of this Michigan imam who suggested in a recent speech that Muslims will slaughter Jews like sheep. 0.51

00:44:11.000 This is not in the Gaza Strip. 0.54

00:44:12.000 This is in Michigan.

00:44:14.000 One Jewish man in New York was talking to a businessman, a Palestinian.

00:44:21.000 Palestinian said, don't worry! 0.69

00:44:25.000 Don't worry, Jewish man.

00:44:27.000 One day we'll come. 1.00

00:44:28.000 We will slaughter you like a sheep. 1.00

00:44:30.000 And the stone and the tree will work with us like an undercover. 1.00

00:44:37.000 To tell us, hey, Muslim, come. 1.00

00:44:39.000 Somebody is hiding here. 1.00

00:44:42.000 Come kill me. 0.98

00:44:43.000 Okay, by the way, this sentiment, unfortunately, is not supremely uncommon, even in the United States. 0.70

00:44:48.000 Brand new poll out from Pew Research Center, asking about whether Israel and Hamas have valid reasons for fighting.

00:44:54.000 49% of American Muslims, a broad plurality, believe that Hamas' reasons for fighting Israel are valid.

00:45:03.000 That's insane.

00:45:04.000 Only 18% believe that Israel's reasons for fighting Hamas are valid.

00:45:08.000 Again, if that's the population that you want to appeal to and you think that's going to win you Michigan, good luck to you.

00:45:12.000 You're toast at that point, honestly.

00:45:14.000 If Joe Biden thinks that somehow creating daylight between the United States and Israel is going to win him Michigan, good luck. 0.99

00:45:22.000 It's a really, really dumb strategy. 0.74

00:45:24.000 But this is now the new kind of phraseology of the Biden administration, apparently. 0.97

00:45:28.000 Sherrod Brown, who's running for re-election in Ohio, he's pushing moral equivalence between Israel and Hamas.

00:45:34.000 He was caught on mic doing this.

00:45:37.000 I would be remiss.

00:45:38.000 A lot of conversation on TikTok is talking about Palestine and Gaza.

00:45:43.000 So I know you guys have to go, but do you support a ceasefire in Gaza?

00:45:48.000 I think what Schumer did, what Biden's... I would answer that question for weeks, no, only because I don't trust that either Hamas or, frankly, Netanyahu would live up to that ceasefire.

00:46:02.000 It's got to lead to a two-state solution.

00:46:08.000 Okay, so, again, Democrats are trying to create a moral equivalence right now, presumably in the hope that they're going to win some of these states.

00:46:23.000 Well, if you decide that you're going to cater to, like, Representative Al Green from Texas, It's not going to save you.

00:46:28.000 Here's Representative Al Green, Democrat, talking about how, you know, Palestinians never consented to Israel becoming a state.

00:46:34.000 Yes, that's the entire problem.

00:46:35.000 If they would consent to Israel becoming a state, then there wouldn't be no war.

00:46:39.000 It would all be over over there.

00:46:41.000 But here he is basically taking the totally Israel doesn't deserve to exist position because the Palestinians never consented to Israel becoming a state.

00:46:47.000 By the way, the opposition to a Palestinian state is not just by Israel in the moment.

00:46:52.000 Israel has tried to make attempts since Oslo to establish a Palestinian state.

00:46:56.000 They have no peace partner.

00:46:57.000 Jordan does not want a Palestinian state under the PA.

00:47:00.000 Egypt does not want a Palestinian state under Hamas.

00:47:02.000 How do we know?

00:47:02.000 Because Egypt controlled the Gaza Strip in 1948-67.

00:47:06.000 Zero Palestinian states founded during that time.

00:47:08.000 Same thing in the West Bank.

00:47:09.000 Jordan controlled it.

00:47:11.000 From 48 states, zero Palestinian states.

00:47:13.000 In fact, the time that they tried to establish a Palestinian state in Jordan, which is 70% Palestinian, the Hashemite dynasty killed thousands of Palestinians and expelled tens of thousands of Palestinians. 0.96

00:47:24.000 In any case, here's Representative Al Green being the doofus that he is.

00:47:29.000 This letter goes to the President because I wanted to just remind him of something that I'm sure he's acutely aware of. 0.59

00:47:35.000 And that is that 14th of May 1948, Israel declared itself a state.

00:47:43.000 And President Truman, who was the President of the United States at that time, was the first major world power or country to recognize Israel as such.

00:47:51.000 And that has created an imbalance.

00:47:54.000 I'm hoping that we will understand that at that time the Palestinians did not consent to Israel becoming a state.

00:48:02.000 In fact, they were vehemently opposed.

00:48:04.000 I don't think that now we need to have Israel's consent to have Palestine become a state.

00:48:11.000 I think that Palestine declares itself a state.

00:48:13.000 I think if we would recognize it, I think that would help us to move this process along.

00:48:19.000 Okay, it will do precisely the opposite, because when you reward terrorism, especially from people who don't want the entire state of Israel to exist, giving them a state then uses that as a launch... Israel literally tried this strategy with Gaza. 0.54

00:48:29.000 They tried it.

00:48:30.000 And you know what happened?

00:48:30.000 October 7th.

00:48:32.000 But again, the Biden administration seems to believe that if they push to the left, if they push to the anti-Israel left, they're going to win Michigan.

00:48:38.000 Ain't gonna happen.

00:48:39.000 You ain't making up an eight-point deficit with a few thousand voters in Dearborn, Michigan.

00:48:42.000 It's just not going to happen.

00:48:43.000 All right, coming up, we'll get into the latest controversy engulfing Nickelodeon, which for years basically looked the other way at some pretty dicey behavior with regard to kids on set.
