00:00:04.000Here is the thing if the president were to just end the war in Iran and hand victory to Iran, your gas prices would be permanently high because then they would have control over that choke point from now until the end of time.
00:00:14.000The president has basically brought the Iranians to their knees.
00:00:17.000That doesn't mean they're finished because, again, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard is a radical regime that is willing to kill hundreds of thousands of its own people to remain in power.

00:00:27.000So, Iran has been trying to suggest that they are willing to make a deal once again.
00:00:31.000Now, the reason that they keep saying they want to make a deal is because they're Economy is completely choked off.
00:00:36.000The Trump administration has, in fact, accomplished the goal of opening some elements of the Strait of Hormuz to the extent that apparently some 20 million reported barrels of oil went out of the Strait of Hormuz over the weekend.
00:00:48.000And Iran is actually internally divided, apparently.
00:00:51.000You have the IRGC, led by Vahidi, which wants to continue the conflict until everybody's dead, essentially.
00:00:59.000And then you have Abbasaraki and Pazeshkian, and they have been trying to negotiate some sort of quasi surrender without negotiating their own surrender.
00:01:07.000Well, again, I highly doubt that they're going to be able to achieve that since the people with the guns in the end are the IRGC, not Abbasarachi or Pzeszkian.
00:01:15.000And what they want to do is immediately open the Hormuz Strait.
00:02:15.000You know, Ambassador Mike Waltz says that Trump has rejected Iran's proposal because basically Iran's proposal was what if you just leave us alone and stop at the blockade and also tell the Israelis that they can never attack us again?
00:02:24.000And also, we commit that we'll do a bunch of stuff that we will never do.
00:02:28.000And Waltz's like, well, we're not doing any of that.
00:02:30.000They were asking for everything up front.
00:02:35.000They were asking for relief from billions and billions of sanctions that are going into place as Operation Economic Fury, but also, Jake, importantly, snapback sanctions.
00:02:48.000From the United Nations that have been in place for many years because Iran has violated over and over again a number of issues related to its nuclear program.
00:02:59.000They were also asking for access to billions in frozen assets that have also been frozen because of those violations.
00:03:06.000So the bottom line is they were asking for everything up front with a promise that they would then talk.
00:03:12.000And I'll remind everyone once we got to the MOU from just a few months ago, the Iranians immediately violated it.
00:03:20.000By attacking international shipping in violation of international law.
00:03:25.000And 146 nations have joined us in condemning Iran for those attacks.
00:03:31.000Now, again, credit to the Trump administration because when we say 146 nations have condemned Iran, how many of them are willing to do anything about it?
