Summary

On 60 Minutes, Andres Manuel Lopez Obradoran explained why Mexico is going to continue to give the United States the runaround on everything from mass migration, mass illegal immigration, and the importation of tons of fentanyl, which is killing over 100,000 Americans every single year. Joe Biden is being played by the Mexican government, not by the drug cartels, and it's time to wake up to the fact that this is a war that is being fought by the cartels, not the U.S. government, and that it's coming from across the southern border, not from the Mexican people. The problem is, Mexico is run by the drugs cartels and they control the border, and they are killing anyone who gets in their way. The Mexican government is not going to stop the flow of illegal immigrants across the border. They are going to make it worse, because they have the power to do so, and if they don't do it, they will be the ones to pay the price. They will be responsible for the deaths of millions of people across America's southern border. And that will be bad news for President Trump and the rest of the world, because Mexico will not be able to do anything about it, because it's all being done in Mexico, not only by the United State, but by the Mexicans themselves. Andres Lopez-Obrador, the president of Mexico, says that Mexico is not the problem, it's the drugs, it s the problem and that the problem is the problem. It s the cartels and that they are the problem not the drugs and the fentanyl. . the drugs are coming from Mexico, the fentanyl is coming from outside of Mexico. And they are making the drugs coming into the US, not coming from other countries, and bringing the drugs into Mexico. Mexico is supplying the fentanyl into the USA, not China they are sending the fentanyl, and China is making the fentanyl from China, and sending the drugs to the US? it s all coming into Mexico, and we are supplying the drugs. , not the other way they are bringing the fentanyl to the USA by the US is the only country that is not making it into Mexico in the US. and sending it across the US borders, and now they are selling it to Mexico. What would happen if the border is closed, and then we close the border? What would the US can do about it?

Transcript

00:00:00.000 Joe Biden is being played by the Mexican government.
00:00:02.000 Last night on 60 Minutes, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who is the president of Mexico, did a long-form interview on 60 Minutes in which he basically explained that Mexico was going to continue to give the United States the runaround on everything from mass migration, mass illegal immigration being facilitated by the drug cartels across America's southern border, to the importation of literally tons of fentanyl, which is killing over 100,000 Americans every single year.
00:00:28.000 Now, it's very clear that Mexico has been giving the United States the runaround.
00:00:31.000 Even the Brookings Institute, which is a left-wing think tank, they put out a piece a couple of years ago saying
00:00:37.000 Mexico eviscerated cooperation with the United States to a bare minimum because Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador's
00:00:43.000 administration has been unwilling and uninterested in mounting any serious
00:00:46.000 law enforcement policy toward Mexican criminal groups.
00:00:48.000 Understand that effectively Mexico is run by the drug cartels.
00:00:52.000 The Mexican drug cartels bring in all the revenue.
00:00:54.000 They kill anyone who gets in their way.
00:00:56.000 They control the entirety of the length of the southern border of the United States.
00:01:00.000 I have visited that border, and I can just tell you, they are literally flying Mexican drug cartel drones above American territory because they control the border.
00:01:08.000 According to the Brookings Institute, Mexico continues to calculate it can get away with only sporadic, minimal, and inadequate counter-narcotics collaboration as long as it leverages its ability to hamper or permit the flow of undocumented migrants to the U.S.-Mexico border, and as long as the United States depends on it for migration control.
00:01:23.000 If the United States conducted a comprehensive immigration reform that provided legal... and then it gets into its liberal policy prescriptions, but even the Brookings Institute is suggesting that the fentanyl epidemic is being driven by the Mexican government and the drug cartels.
00:01:35.000 The same thing is true of the mass illegal migration that we have seen across America's southern border.
00:01:39.000 So, last night, 60 Minutes did an interview with AMLO, as he is called.
00:01:43.000 Again, that is Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who is the president of Mexico.
00:01:46.000 And here is what he had to say.
00:01:49.000 The head of the DEA says cartels are mass-producing fentanyl, and the U.S.
00:01:54.000 State Department has said that most of it is coming out of Mexico.
00:01:58.000 Are they wrong?
00:02:00.000 Yes.
00:02:03.000 Or rather, they don't have all the information, because fentanyl is also produced in the United States.
00:02:09.000 The State Department says most of it's coming from Mexico.
00:02:13.000 Fentanyl is produced in the United States, in Canada, and in Mexico, and the chemical precursors come from Asia.
00:02:22.000 Okay, he's lying.
00:02:23.000 The vast majority of fentanyl is being trafficked across America's southern border.
00:02:28.000 And yes, it is in league with China.
00:02:30.000 China is sending the precursor chemicals for fentanyl creation to Mexico, because what they did is they used to actually just send fentanyl, pure uncut fentanyl, into Mexico, and then it would be trafficked across the southern American border, the Mexican-American border.
00:02:43.000 Well, now, because the United States put a little bit of pressure on China under the Trump administration, the Chinese government decided they were instead going to send precursors.
00:02:52.000 They're going to use a legal fiction.
00:02:54.000 They would send basically all the ingredients and they would then process all of this in Mexico.
00:02:58.000 They would press it into pill form.
00:03:00.000 That pill form, by the way, doesn't always look like fentanyl pills.
00:03:03.000 Sometimes it looks, using Chinese presses, like say Adderall, which is why you're seeing people who are being poisoned by fentanyl.
00:03:09.000 Here's more of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador denying that Mexico has anything to do with the vast amounts of death on the American side of the border.
00:03:18.000 Lopez Obrador says threats by U.S.
00:03:20.000 lawmakers to shut down the border to curb drug trafficking is little more than saber-rattling.
00:03:27.000 That's because last year, Mexico became America's top trading partner.
00:03:32.000 They could say, we are going to close the border, but we mutually need each other.
00:03:37.000 What would happen to the U.S.
00:03:38.000 if they closed the border?
00:03:40.000 You would not be able to buy inexpensive cars if the border is closed.
00:03:44.000 That is, you would have to pay $10,000, $15,000 more for a car.
00:03:52.000 There are factories in Mexico and there are factories in the United States that are fundamental for all the consumers in the United States and all the consumers in Mexico.
00:04:04.000 Okay, let's be realistic about the Mexican government.
00:04:06.000 Again, it is run by the drug cartels.
00:04:09.000 And when we say, when he says we can't shut the border, he's talking about the flow of cars across the border.
00:04:13.000 That is not the same thing as we don't have the ability to stop the illegal migration across the border because it's between ports of entry that huge amounts of fentanyl are coming into the country.
00:04:23.000 Effectively speaking, what the drug cartels are doing right now, as we saw in the first episode of our series, Divided States of Biden, is that the Mexican drug cartels will drop off hundreds of illegal immigrants at way stations in the desert.
00:04:35.000 They will wait for Border Patrol to congregate at those way stations, and then they will send people with backpacks filled with fentanyl over the border into the United States.
00:04:43.000 All of this we investigate in the second episode of our series, Divided States of Biden.
00:04:47.000 You need to check it out.
00:04:48.000 It's really, I think, a groundbreaking piece of investigative work.
00:04:52.000 We go into everything from the Chinese-Mexican-American trafficking relationship,
00:04:56.000 how exactly all of that is happening, to the actual on the ground,
00:04:59.000 what's happening in Kensington, which is, again, an area of Philadelphia.
00:05:04.000 Here is some of the, Joe Biden is doing nothing about this, by the way.
00:05:07.000 This is on Joe Biden.
00:05:08.000 Our wide open southern border is on Joe Biden.
00:05:10.000 He's not using leverage against the Mexican government.
00:05:12.000 He's not doing anything.
00:05:14.000 How do you know this?
00:05:14.000 Because AMLO literally said, he literally said that in order for him to stop the trafficking across the border, to stop the illegal immigration wave that we are seeing across the southern border, he wants the United States to commit $20 billion a year to poor countries in Latin America and the Caribbean to lift all sanctions on Venezuela because AMLO is a far leftist.
00:05:32.000 Venezuela is a communist regime.
00:05:35.000 We'll get to more on this in just one second.
00:05:43.000 First, $20 barely gets you anything these days.
00:05:46.000 You can't even fill your gas tank or get a burger and fries for less than $20.
00:05:48.000 But do you know what $20 will get you?
00:05:51.000 From the cell phone company I use, PureTalk, you can get unlimited talk, text, and plenty of 5G data for just $20 a month.
00:05:56.000 PureTalk gives you the same quality of service as your current cell phone provider, but for about half the cost.
00:06:01.000 The average family saves almost $1,000 a year, all with no contracts and no activation fees.
00:06:05.000 You can switch to PeerTalk and keep the phone and phone number you currently use, or you can take advantage of their great deals on the latest iPhones and Androids.
00:06:12.000 Making the switch is incredibly easy.
00:06:13.000 Their U.S.
00:06:14.000 customer service team can help you join PeerTalk in as little as 10 minutes.
00:06:17.000 Choose to spend your hard-earned money with a wireless company that shares your values, supports our military and veterans, creates American jobs, and refuses to advertise on, you know, the fake news networks.
00:06:26.000 Stop spending a ridiculous amount of money on your phone plan.
00:06:28.000 Go to puretalk.com slash Shapiro.
00:06:30.000 Right now, my listeners can get an additional 50% off their very first month of coverage.
00:06:34.000 That's puretalk.com slash Shapiro.
00:06:36.000 Again, puretalk.com slash Shapiro.
00:06:39.000 Go check them out right now.
00:06:39.000 puretalk.com slash Shapiro.
00:06:42.000 So he's now holding up, at point of fentanyl gun, the United States, and Joe Biden is doing nothing about it.
00:06:48.000 Here's the trailer for episode two of Divided States of Biden, which is available only at Daily Wire+.
00:06:55.000 I have never been particularly poor at calculating how to get things done.
00:06:59.000 In the heart of America's towns and cities, a silent crisis leaves a trail of devastation in its way.
00:07:03.000 Fentanyl is responsible for 91% of opioid deaths.
00:07:07.000 Fentanyl deaths have spiked 46%.
00:07:08.000 Triple overdose fentanyl is to blame.
00:07:12.000 Fentanyl overdose is the leading cause of death for Americans 18 to 45.
00:07:16.000 My only child was dead.
00:07:17.000 She died from fentanyl poisoning.
00:07:18.000 My son died at 25.
00:07:20.000 It was fentanyl that killed my child.
00:07:22.000 It's out of control.
00:07:23.000 Kids are being poisoned.
00:07:24.000 Joe Biden and his administration have not done anything to protect American citizens.
00:07:28.000 How do you think things are going at the border, sir?
00:07:30.000 Much better than you all expected.
00:07:31.000 Joe Biden has created a crisis.
00:07:34.000 Biden clearly not only has a border crisis on his hands, but also a deadly drug problem.
00:07:39.000 Biden got rid of the effective border policies, and from day one, we saw a spike in fentanyl on our streets.
00:07:46.000 The United States of America is dealing with deadly consequences because of Joe Biden's policies on the border.
00:07:53.000 This invasion is insane!
00:07:55.000 What changed for Joe Biden?
00:07:56.000 What changed in my mind is the financial commercial ties that the Bidens have with China.
00:08:01.000 The Bidens in 2017 got a $5 million interest-free loan from a Chinese businessman.
00:08:06.000 That businessman was business partners with the leader of a Chinese criminal gang.
00:08:11.000 That set up the Sinaloa cartel and made them the kings of fentanyl.
00:08:16.000 So you have really one degree of separation between the Biden family and the kings of fentanyl.
00:08:21.000 Every single day we're talking about the number of people that are dying from fentanyl overdose.
00:08:27.000 Will Joe Biden continue to ignore the Mexico border?
00:08:29.000 It's a constant flow and the numbers keep getting bigger.
00:08:32.000 The number one site for fentanyl trafficking.
00:08:34.000 Joe Biden and the Washington Democrats are defying federal law.
00:08:37.000 The sitting president is supposed to put Americans first.
00:08:39.000 It's time for Joe Biden to get out of the way.
00:08:42.000 If he gets out of the way, we can solve this crisis.
00:08:44.000 Joe Biden is unserious about fentanyl, and people are dying in unprecedented numbers because of it.
00:08:49.000 I'm Ben Shapiro, and this is The Divided States of Biden.
00:08:52.000 Fentanyl.
00:08:52.000 America's silent epidemic.
00:08:54.000 Only on Daily Wire Plus.
00:08:57.000 You should go check it out.
00:08:58.000 I think it's a really important piece of work.
00:08:59.000 You should make sure that all your friends and family check it out as well.
00:09:02.000 Especially young people who may not know that if they try an Adderall or if they try marijuana, they're now lacing these drug dealers, fentanyl, into these products in order to get people addicted.
00:09:12.000 And if it kills them, they don't care.
00:09:14.000 If it kills the people they are trafficking to, that's just the cost of doing business.
00:09:18.000 Joe Biden is doing nothing about this.
00:09:20.000 He keeps talking about doing things, but he's not doing anything about it.
00:09:23.000 According to Axios, President Biden is still considering harsh executive actions at the border before November's election.
00:09:29.000 The bullet's in the chamber, said another source familiar with the planning.
00:09:32.000 Well, here's the thing.
00:09:33.000 Do I believe that he's going to do anything that is particularly effective at the border?
00:09:36.000 I do not.
00:09:37.000 I do not believe that he's going to do anything particularly effective at the border.
00:09:40.000 He's had every opportunity to do that.
00:09:42.000 The Remain in Mexico policy that Donald Trump had negotiated with the Mexican government, he eviscerated that on day one.
00:09:47.000 The asylum interpretation laws that Donald Trump had put in place, Joe Biden eviscerated those on day one.
00:09:53.000 Has he applied any leverage to AMLO?
00:09:55.000 You watch that particular interview with Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on 60 Minutes, Amlo is perfectly confident.
00:10:01.000 He is sitting there perfectly confident that Joe Biden will do nothing to stop the vast wave of fentanyl trafficking across America's southern border.
00:10:09.000 He's confident that Joe Biden will do absolutely nothing to stop the vast wave of illegal immigration.
00:10:13.000 Why would he not be confident?
00:10:14.000 Joe Biden is literally suing the government of Texas to stop them from deporting illegal immigrants who are coming across the border.
00:10:20.000 He's attempting to remove tools from law enforcement to allow them to actually stop all of this coming across the border.
00:10:27.000 And meanwhile, he's soft on China, which is shipping all of these precursor materials to Chinese labs in Mexico.
00:10:34.000 I mean, when you talk about a war on the United States, the fentanyl issue is a war on the United States.
00:10:41.000 There's no question.
00:10:41.000 It is being facilitated by our enemies.
00:10:43.000 It's being facilitated by the Chinese government, and it's being facilitated by the Mexican drug cartels.
00:10:48.000 I think the most insulting thing in this entire AMLO interview on 60 Minutes Is that he is asked about the American demand for fentanyl.
00:10:56.000 And he says, you know, we don't have any of that in Mexico.
00:10:59.000 We don't have any demand for fentanyl in Mexico.
00:11:01.000 We're not seeing drug overdoses in these sorts of numbers in Mexico because we have intact family structures as opposed to America where you have family breakdown and societal decay.
00:11:10.000 Well, I mean, I did notice there's one other difference, which is that the Mexican drug cartels run Mexico and there's no money in Mexico.
00:11:15.000 They're shipping all the fentanyl up north because that's where the money is.
00:11:18.000 They're actively attempting to hook young people into the most addictive drug that has ever been distributed in mass quantities on American streets.
00:11:26.000 Fentanyl is legitimately 50 times as addictive as heroin.
00:11:33.000 The number of people who get hooked on fentanyl who are able to get off is less than 2%.
00:11:39.000 The only way to stop the fentanyl overdose epidemic that is destroying the country right now, the only way to do that is to interdict the drugs at the border.
00:11:46.000 It's the only way to do it.
00:11:47.000 And take harsh action against China, which Joe Biden won't do.
00:11:50.000 And to take harsh action against Mexico, which Joe Biden will not do.
00:11:53.000 And this crisis is going to continue to get worse.
00:11:55.000 President Trump, I hope that he makes it a feature of his campaign.
00:11:59.000 When I briefly spoke to him about this, actually, last week, he said, obviously, that he was going to.
00:12:03.000 He sees the border and the fentanyl issue as one and the same, which, in fact, it largely is.
00:12:08.000 But the fact that Joe Biden has done nothing about this is just another piece of evidence that he is the worst president in modern American history, without a doubt.
00:12:16.000 So again, go check out our documentary piece on this.
00:12:19.000 Episode 2 of Divided States of Biden.
00:12:20.000 We're really proud of it.
00:12:21.000 We think it's an important piece of work.
00:12:22.000 You should really go check it out right now.
00:12:24.000 It's over at Daily Wire Plus.
00:12:26.000 Go check it out at Daily Wire Plus.
00:12:27.000 I rarely push my work behind the paywall this way, but I think it's a really important piece of work.
00:12:32.000 Go check it out.
00:12:32.000 Episode 2 of Divided States of Biden.
00:12:35.000 We'll get to more on this in just one moment.
00:12:36.000 First, April 7th marks six months since Hamas brutally attacked Israel, launching a vicious war for Israel's very survival.
00:12:43.000 We're living in times we never thought we'd see.
00:12:45.000 As Israel fights for their existence, so many people around the world have turned their backs on the Israeli people right when they need them most.
00:12:51.000 The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is on the ground right now.
00:12:54.000 Delivering critically needed emergency supplies to those who are suffering.
00:12:56.000 There's an immediate need for essentials like food, medicine, and emergency supplies for hundreds of thousands of suffering Jews.
00:13:02.000 Many cannot return to their homes because of the rocket fire in the north from Hezbollah.
00:13:06.000 Israel is in desperate need, that's why I'm partnering, with the Fellowship today.
00:13:09.000 Every donation is urgently needed.
00:13:11.000 It's a matter of life and death for men, women, and children who have been displaced because their homes were destroyed.
00:13:15.000 Many families are still torn apart.
00:13:16.000 Many have loved ones being held hostage.
00:13:18.000 The fight is not over.
00:13:19.000 The Israeli people are still suffering.
00:13:20.000 Your gift today to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews We'll show them they aren't forgotten.
00:13:25.000 To give to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, visit BenForTheFellowship.org.
00:13:30.000 That's BenForTheFellowship.org.
00:13:32.000 Again, BenForTheFellowship.org.
00:13:34.000 God bless and thank you.
00:13:35.000 Okay, meanwhile, the big news of the weekend was, of course, this massive terror attack in Moscow.
00:13:42.000 So, there was a huge terror attack in Moscow over the weekend.
00:13:45.000 It was actually on Friday.
00:13:47.000 Killed over 140 people.
00:13:50.000 The people responsible for it are ISIS.
00:13:52.000 ISIS has now claimed responsibility.
00:13:54.000 Not just that, they actually released a video recorded from the Moscow attack on all of their distribution systems.
00:14:00.000 The reason that this is important is, of course, because the Russians tried to blame the Ukrainians.
00:14:04.000 The Russians tried to suggest that this particular terror attack, which, by the way, the United States had warned them about.
00:14:08.000 They said, watch out for your theaters.
00:14:10.000 There had been a standing Warning to American citizens not to go to Moscow theaters specifically because of the specific evidence that they had that ISIS was targeting Moscow theaters.
00:14:19.000 So ISIS members, four of them, walked into this theater.
00:14:22.000 They basically ended up setting it on fire, killing 140 people.
00:14:26.000 Huge mass casualty attack by ISIS.
00:14:29.000 They were captured alive.
00:14:31.000 The Russian forces then proceeded to capture them and torture them.
00:14:35.000 So there's footage that was released pretty quickly of Russian special forces cutting one of the terrorist's ears off and attempting to feed it to him.
00:14:44.000 And another of the terrorists having electric shocks to his genitals.
00:14:48.000 So I'd just like to point out to the entire Western world that seems fairly okay with that sort of treatment of terrorists.
00:14:56.000 You're whining a lot about how Israel is treating Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip right now.
00:14:59.000 I just noticed that double standard on the Twitterverse.
00:15:02.000 But, put that aside.
00:15:04.000 Vladimir Putin is using this as an opportunity, presumably, to go after Ukraine.
00:15:10.000 He is now declaring that it's Ukraine's fault.
00:15:13.000 So, according to The Sun, Putin appeared to hint that Russia is seeking to blame Ukraine for the Moscow massacre that left over 140 dead and vowed vengeance.
00:15:23.000 With Russia reeling in the wake of this attack, he addressed the nation and promised his people he would punish those responsible for the massacre.
00:15:29.000 ISIS-K, which is a splinter cell of the death cult, has claimed responsibility for the savage attack.
00:15:35.000 Now, remember, ISIS-K is also one of the groups that was involved in the terror attack at Abbey Gate in Afghanistan.
00:15:41.000 So it turns out that when you retreat in the face of terrorists, they get more and more bold and they carry out more and more attacks.
00:15:48.000 Although again, just to parallel modern circumstances, my understanding is that when a mass terror attack occurs, in a European or Western center, that that means that the terror group actually is given a state and the first priority is to protect anyone who's civilian who might be associated with the terror group.
00:16:03.000 This is what I have been told by the by the mass media.
00:16:06.000 According to The Sun, at least four gunmen stormed the Crocus City Hall venue on the outskirts of Moscow during a rock show by the band Picnic.
00:16:12.000 They fired a salvo of machine gun shots into crowds of people as they ran for their lives, killing men, women, and children.
00:16:16.000 The building was left with a collapsed roof after the terrorists started an inferno, which then ripped through the structure, trapping many civilians inside.
00:16:23.000 The Kremlin is churning out a bunch of information suggesting that it is in fact Ukraine responsible for this.
00:16:31.000 Putin did not mention ISIS in his speech, sparking accusations from Ukraine that he was attempting to link Ukraine with the massacre.
00:16:39.000 And of course, this ties into the fact that Putin has been upping the ante with regard to Western Ukraine and Kiev.
00:16:46.000 The same weekend that he was blaming Ukraine for an attack that not only was carried out by ISIS-K, was bragged about by ISIS-K?
00:16:51.000 That same weekend, Poland says it will now demand an explanation from Moscow after a Russian missile briefly breached Polish airspace during a massive missile attack on Ukraine, prompting the NATO member to put its forces on heightened readiness.
00:17:03.000 Russia and Ukraine have been engaged in a series of deadly aerial attacks with Sunday's early morning strikes coming a day after the Russian military said that it had seized the Ukrainian village of Ivanivsk, which is west of Bakhmut.
00:17:14.000 A militant attack on a Moscow concert hall on Friday that killed at least 140 people has also become a new flashpoint between the two countries, with Putin seeking to tie Kiev to the attack.
00:17:22.000 And you're seeing propagandists online who are also attempting to do the exact same thing.
00:17:26.000 Vladimir Zelensky, who is the president of Ukraine, He said that lowlife Putin, instead of dealing with his Russian citizens, addressing them was silent for a full 24 hours, thinking about how to tie this to Ukraine.
00:17:34.000 It's all absolutely predictable.
00:17:36.000 And you are seeing Russian tools online suggesting, of course, that it was the Ukrainians who were responsible for a terror attack, which, again, would make no sense.
00:17:43.000 What exactly would Ukraine seek to gain from a mass casualty terror attack that everyone condemns and thinks is evil?
00:17:49.000 It makes zero sense whatsoever.
00:17:50.000 It's not a military attack on a military site.
00:17:54.000 It is an attack on a group of civilians, including men, women, and children.
00:17:58.000 So that makes no sense at all.
00:18:00.000 But again, it does tie into exactly what Putin is seeking to do, which is create the impetus for further violence in Ukraine.
00:18:07.000 This is the thing that you see from the Russian government very often, is that they are willing to project their own intentions onto everyone else.
00:18:14.000 They're constantly projecting intentions onto everybody else.
00:18:17.000 So once again, the last major terror attack happened on October 7th.
00:18:21.000 This is the latest major terror attack.
00:18:22.000 In the wake of the last major terror attack on October 7th, the Russian government suggested that Israel was going to use its attempts to extirpate Hamas as a pretext to do all sorts of horrible things in the Gaza Strip to people it had always wanted to do horrible things to.
00:18:33.000 That's exactly what Russia is trying to do right now.
00:18:35.000 It's all projection.
00:18:36.000 Russia is actually now not going after ISIS, apparently.
00:18:39.000 They're now going to use this as an excuse to wheel and hit Ukraine, who apparently had nothing to do with this attack in the first place.
00:18:46.000 And I know there's all the conspiratorial speculation online.
00:18:48.000 I've seen, ooh, it's the CIA.
00:18:50.000 By the way, if the CIA had the magical powers attributed it to so many people, the United States would be in a much better situation worldwide if the CIA were really good at things, but it turns out the CIA is not very good at things, actually.
00:19:00.000 In any case, Putin is using this as an excuse.
00:19:03.000 Listen, he should go kill all the ISIS-K terrorists.
00:19:06.000 I'm rooting him on.
00:19:07.000 That'd be great.
00:19:08.000 ISIS-K is one of the most evil groups on the planet.
00:19:12.000 But the fact that he is saying a lot less about ISIS-K than he is about Ukraine suggests that he is willing to use this as a propaganda point in going after a sovereign state that he did, in fact, invade.
00:19:22.000 According to the Associated Press, Putin did not mention ISIS in his speech to the nation.
00:19:27.000 Kiev accused him and other Russian politicians of falsely linking Ukraine to the assault.
00:19:31.000 U.S.
00:19:31.000 intelligence officials confirmed the claim by the ICE affiliate.
00:19:35.000 ISIS bears sole responsibility for the attack.
00:19:37.000 There was no Ukrainian involvement whatsoever, according to National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson.
00:19:42.000 They must be in on the conspiracy, apparently.
00:19:45.000 By the way, the U.S.
00:19:46.000 had shared information with Russia in early March about a planned terrorist attack in Moscow and issued a public warning to all Americans in Russia.
00:19:53.000 Putin, for his part, said authorities had detained a total of 11 people in the attack.
00:19:57.000 He called it a bloody barbaric terrorist attack and said that the Russian authorities captured the four suspects as they were trying to escape to Ukraine through a window prepared for them on the Ukrainian side of the border.
00:20:06.000 Now, again, there's no evidence that that's the actual case.
00:20:09.000 Russian news reports identified the gunmen as citizens of Tajikistan, a former Soviet republic in Central Asia that is predominantly Muslim and borders Afghanistan, the place that we left to the tender mercies of the Taliban and ISIS-K.
00:20:21.000 Tajikistan's foreign ministry, which denied initial Russian media reports, did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the arrests.
00:20:29.000 Putin, for his part, is not cracking down on Tajik migrants, saying, quote, which is kind of an amazing statement.
00:20:39.000 So you have terrorists who come from Tajikistan.
00:20:41.000 He's like, nope, we're going to continue to leave that border particularly open.
00:20:44.000 This must be Ukraine.
00:20:45.000 We'll get to more on this in a moment.

00:21:49.000 Putin's claim that the attackers tried to flee to Ukraine followed comments by Russian lawmakers who also pointed the finger at Ukraine immediately after the attack.
00:21:58.000 That is some pretty cynical politicking.
00:22:01.000 One of the survivors, a guy named Dave Primoff, told the AP the gunmen were, quote,
00:22:04.000 shooting directly into the crowd in the front rows.
00:22:05.000 He described the chaos in the hall as concertgoers raced to escape, quote,
00:22:08.000 people began to panic, started to run, collided with each other.
00:22:10.000 Some fell down, others trampled on them.
00:22:12.000 Again, there are rooms that were filled with women and children
00:22:16.000 in which people were obviously mass murdered.
00:22:19.000 So well done, West, once again.
00:22:23.000 I mean, like, all these things tie together.
00:22:25.000 As always, foreign policy is all intertwined.
00:22:27.000 All these things tie together.
00:22:28.000 ISIS-K was reinvigorated by the United States pulling out of Afghanistan under Joe Biden.
00:22:33.000 That is what happened.
00:22:34.000 Vladimir Putin...
00:22:36.000 Has turned his attention to Ukraine.
00:22:39.000 He's also allied himself with, for example, the Syrian government, which is an enemy of ISIS, but also an enemy of the Syrian people, so both of those things can be true.
00:22:47.000 And so ISIS doesn't particularly like Vladimir Putin.
00:22:49.000 Vladimir Putin, meanwhile, has allied himself with Hamas, which is an Iranian-sponsored terror group, in its attacks on Israel.
00:22:57.000 Now, all these things are weirdly intertwined.
00:23:01.000 Bottom line is that if Vladimir Putin goes after ISIS-K, good on him.
00:23:05.000 If Vladimir Putin goes after Ukraine on the basis of more of these lies...
00:23:09.000 Well then that would be predictably within boundaries for Vladimir Putin.
00:23:12.000 And meanwhile, speaking of more foreign policy, the Biden administration continues to put pressure on Israel because that's the way that it works.
00:23:19.000 The Biden administration perfectly happy to pressure our allies and do nothing about our enemies.
00:23:23.000 So the Biden administration doing nothing about AMLO, doing nothing about China, doing nothing about Iran actually, just spending tens of billions of dollars on Iran, but perfectly happy to put pressure on Israel to make concessions to Hamas.
00:23:36.000 There's been serious pressure by the Americans for Israel to cut a deal with Hamas that would end with the release of about 40 hostages that Hamas has been holding since October 7th, in return for 7 to 800 actual convict life sentence terrorists who have murdered Jews.
00:23:51.000 Now, people should remember the history of this particular October 7th attack.
00:23:55.000 It was led, organized, by Yahya Sinwar.
00:23:57.000 Yahya Sinwar was a terrorist who was turned over back to the Gaza Strip in return for Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier.
00:24:05.000 So these kind of prisoner exchanges, they don't tend to work particularly well.
00:24:09.000 Releasing terrorists in return for innocent hostages tends to be a bad deal for the West.
00:24:13.000 I understand why Israel's doing it.
00:24:15.000 I also understand that the United States putting pressure on Israel is one of the factors here.
00:24:21.000 Kamala Harris, who is just, she is, is she the stupidest person in American politics?
00:24:25.000 I mean, it's a hard competition.
00:24:27.000 There are a lot of incredibly low IQ people in American politics, but Kamala Harris, my goodness, the level of self-assurance combined with complete ignorance, the smugness of Kamala Harris talking about things of which she knows absolutely nothing is truly astonishing.
00:24:41.000 So the Biden administration has been pushing Israel not to go into Rafa.
00:24:43.000 There are at least four battalions of Hamas terrorists who are still in Rafa.
00:24:47.000 Everybody, including the Israeli government, knows that Israel will have to go into Rafa.
00:24:50.000 Because of course that's where the terrorists are.
00:24:52.000 They are currently trying to figure out how to get more civilians out of Rafah so they can go after the terrorists.
00:24:57.000 But the Biden administration has now put itself in a bit of a political pickle.
00:25:00.000 In order to win over voters in Dearborn, Michigan, who really like Hamas apparently, the Biden administration has decided that it is going to pressure Israel not to go into Rafah unless it is presented with some sort of plan to protect civilians.
00:25:13.000 Which puts them between a rock and a hard place, because if Israel presents them any plan and they approve it, now they are complicit in the plan.
00:25:20.000 And if they don't approve it, Israel's gonna have to go in anyway, which means that presumably there will have to be some sort of consequences that would probably cause Israel not to completely win the war in the Gaza Strip, which is really bad for the United States.
00:25:30.000 It turns out, as we see with ISIS-K, that when you let terrorist groups go, when you let them flourish, when you surrender to terrorist group, the world becomes a way worse place.
00:25:38.000 So Kamala Harris, is now the lead spokesperson for the idea that Israel should not go into the final major city in the Gaza Strip, Rafah.
00:25:46.000 She says that she knows better military plans, says Kamala Harris, which is incredible because her military experience is wide and varied, such as, for example, and also, so apparently she reads maps.
00:25:59.000 I'm not kidding.
00:25:59.000 That's her excuse.
00:26:00.000 She looks at maps all day long.
00:26:03.000 She's just in her office looking at maps, and now she knows what Israel should and should not do in Rafah.
00:26:08.000 We have been clear in multiple conversations and in every way that any major military operation in Rafah would be a huge mistake.
00:26:21.000 Let me tell you something.
00:26:22.000 I have studied the maps.
00:26:25.000 There's nowhere for those folks to go.
00:26:27.000 And we're looking at about a million and a half people in Rafah who are there because they were told to go there, most of them.
00:26:33.000 And so we've been very clear that it would be a mistake to move into Rafah with any type of military operation.
00:26:43.000 Any type of military operation, even like a small incursion into into Rafah will be bad, according to comments.
00:26:48.000 She's looked at maps, guys.
00:26:49.000 Well, if she had looked at a map, one of the things she might have noticed is that Rafah is right on the border of Egypt.
00:26:53.000 Egypt is another country that the United States sends billions of dollars to every year.
00:26:56.000 You know what the United States could do if it were deeply concerned about the civilians in Rafah?
00:27:00.000 It could tell Egypt to open temporary housing camps on the Egyptian side of the border so civilians could go over there and then Israel could go into Rafah and try to clean out the terrorists.
00:27:08.000 But no, what they're trying to create is a catch-22 for Israel, where if Israel does not go into Rafah, Israel loses.
00:27:13.000 And if Israel does go into Rafah, the United States gets very angry and wags our finger at the Israelis for going in and attempting to extirpate Hamas.
00:27:20.000 We'll get to more on this in just a moment.
00:27:21.000 First, my day's pretty full.
00:27:23.000 Between being a dad and the show and the business, that's a lot of stuff going on.
00:27:27.000 That means when I get...

00:28:25.000 Also, we spend too much time on our phones.
00:28:26.000 We all know this.
00:28:27.000 The scary part is your phone carrier collects data on whatever it is that you are doing.
00:28:30.000 Companies admit to doing it.
00:28:31.000 They say so as they can better understand your interests.
00:28:34.000 But really, what they want to do is sell your activity to advertisers.
00:28:36.000 You know, stuff like the sites you visited and what you've been up to online.
00:28:40.000 And also, they have backdoors with the government.
00:28:42.000 The more they can get on you, the larger their paycheck becomes.
00:28:44.000 This is why I use ExpressVPN.
00:28:45.000 ExpressVPN is an app that prevents your phone carrier from being able to see the site you visit and sell it off to third parties.

00:28:57.000 ExpressVPN shields your web browsing and protects all your network data, so you can stay private even when you're using your favorite apps.
00:29:02.000 If you're on an iPhone, Android, tablet user, ExpressVPN works on all of that.

00:29:09.000 My whole family is using ExpressVPN too.
00:29:11.000 When your phone carrier tracks you, that's a gross invasion of privacy.

00:29:22.000 That's expressvpn.com slash ben right now, expressvpn.com slash ben.
00:29:27.000 By the way, how stupid is Kamala Harris?
00:29:28.000 Kamala Harris is... she's almost charmingly stupid.
00:29:32.000 Over the weekend, tape emerged of her.
00:29:33.000 She was in Puerto Rico.
00:29:34.000 And somebody in a crowd that was near where she was started playing some music.
00:29:39.000 And she started dancing to the music.
00:29:41.000 Until it turns out that one of her aides informed her that the song that she was dancing to was about American imperialism and how America needs to leave Puerto Rico, at which point she abruptly stops.
00:29:50.000 Here is our idiotic vice president.
00:29:54.000 She's smiling, she's tapping her feet, bopping her head to it.
00:29:57.000 Really enjoying herself.
00:30:00.000 Clapping her hands.
00:30:02.000 And then somebody's gonna come tell her in a second, uh, by the way, you know what you're clapping to?
00:30:07.000 And then she's gonna be like, oh no.
00:30:11.000 What a genius our vice president is.
00:30:12.000 I mean, she is just, wow.
00:30:14.000 She, I can see, she was totally picked for her abilities.
00:30:18.000 Truly incredible stuff.
00:30:18.000 Meanwhile, the Democratic Party increasingly ruled by its left flank by people like AOC and Raphael Warnock.
00:30:24.000 So AOC is so far out on the pro-Hamas side that she is now disagreeing with the basic premise that if Hamas laid down its arms and released the hostages that the war would be over tomorrow.
00:30:33.000 She now thinks, like, she's like just repeating Hamas' talking points at this point.
00:30:39.000 They also, Israeli officials also argue this war could end tomorrow if Hamas freed the hostages and laid down the arms.
00:30:45.000 Do you disagree?
00:30:48.000 I do disagree because when we are talking about famine, the actions of Hamas should not be tied to whether a three-year-old can eat.
00:30:59.000 The actions of Hamas do not justify forcing thousands, hundreds of thousands of people to eat grass as their bodies consume themselves.
00:31:11.000 It is the actions of Hamas causing that.
00:31:13.000 Hamas literally will not allow the aid to flow through to the civilians.
00:31:16.000 Israel is sending in hundreds of trucks every single day.
00:31:19.000 And you know why the food ain't hitting the civilians?
00:31:21.000 Because Hamas is stealing all the food.
00:31:24.000 But she hates Israel so much that Hamas apparently... It is incredible.
00:31:28.000 There's this horseshoe weird...
00:31:31.000 foreign policy thing that happens between the far right and the far left on American foreign policy,
00:31:36.000 the sort of far right libertarian Ron Paul right and the far left AOC Bernie Sanders left.
00:31:41.000 And it suggests that the only countries with agency in the world, the only people with agency
00:31:46.000 in the entire world are the Western countries. Everybody else just doesn't count. So we just
00:31:50.000 pretend that they're not part of the equation.
00:31:52.000 So if there's something bad happening in Gaza, we just have to pretend that Hamas doesn't exist.
00:31:56.000 Or if there is something bad happening in, say, Iraq or Iran, we just have to pretend that those governments don't exist.
00:32:02.000 It's all the fault of the United States, always and forever.
00:32:05.000 And it's stupid.
00:32:06.000 It makes no sense.
00:32:07.000 That's foreign policy for dummies.
00:32:09.000 The reality is there are a lot of interlocking parts and a lot of varied interests when it comes to foreign policy.
00:32:14.000 Foreign policy is more like a fifth grade playground than it is like anything else.
00:32:17.000 And the reality is that Hamas has a lot to say about whether citizens are starving in the Gaza Strip.
00:32:22.000 Just like Hamas had a lot to say about whether citizens were starving in the Gaza Strip, you know, before October 7th when they were stealing literally all of the aid coming in and using it to build terror tunnels and pad their Tony apartments in Qatar.
00:32:34.000 But AOC is a moral idiot.
00:32:36.000 So, of course, that's what she believes.
00:32:37.000 Raphael Warnock, another moral moron, suggesting it's morally unjustifiable for Israel to go into Rafah.
00:32:41.000 Again, what's amazing to me is all these people say, Israel can't go into Rafah.
00:32:45.000 It'll be so terrible.
00:32:46.000 But Israel can still.
00:32:46.000 There might be things we would accept.
00:32:48.000 What's the thing you would accept?
00:32:50.000 Seriously, what's the thing that you would accept?
00:32:52.000 I'd love to hear it.
00:32:54.000 Because they never present any actual plan.
00:32:57.000 And this is something you see from the left when it comes to foreign policy and domestic policy.
00:33:01.000 They'll say, well, you know, there's every Bernie Sanders economic policy.
00:33:05.000 It's wrong, though.
00:33:05.000 So many people who are rich and so many people who are poor.
00:33:08.000 Okay, well, what's your plan, dude?
00:33:10.000 You ain't got no plan.
00:33:12.000 All you like to do is rant at the wind.
00:33:14.000 Now Democrats are out there pretending they got a military plan.
00:33:16.000 Kamala Harris is sitting there with little tiny tanks and flags in the back room with a map, figuring out how to go into Rafa.
00:33:22.000 Here's Raphael Warnock doing the same routine.
00:33:25.000 We cannot forget about the awful attack of Hamas on October 7th against innocent people, including Americans.
00:33:38.000 We can't turn away from that.
00:33:41.000 And at the same time, we cannot turn away from the scenes of awful suffering and human catastrophe in Gaza.
00:33:51.000 And so we will continue to fight for negotiated Ceasefire.
00:33:56.000 I have said very clearly that I think for Mr. Netanyahu to go into Rafah, where some 1.4 million Palestinians are now sheltering, would be morally unjustifiable.
00:34:14.000 It would be unconscionable.
00:34:16.000 And I hope that at the end of the day, cooler heads will prevail, and that one day we can get to a two-state solution.
00:34:25.000 A two-state solution with whom?
00:34:27.000 It's all fancy land nonsense.
00:34:29.000 It's all fancy land nonsense.
00:34:30.000 Now, speaking of fancy land nonsense, in one second we'll get to the Republicans in Congress.
00:34:34.000 Again, everyone... First rule of politics.
00:34:37.000 Everyone's a moron.
00:34:38.000 Okay, that's just the first rule of politics, and you should stick by that.
00:34:41.000 That's why whenever you hear conspiracy theory in politics, it's almost always untrue.
00:34:44.000 Because conspiracies require intelligent people coordinating in order to make them happen.
00:34:49.000 And when it comes to politics, Everyone is a dullard.
00:34:52.000 We're going to get to the Republicans in just one second.
00:34:55.000 First, as I mentioned, I recently went to Kensington, Pennsylvania, which is a neighborhood of Philadelphia.
00:35:00.000 What I witnessed was the most horrifying thing that I've ever seen in this country.
00:35:03.000 Streets that are plagued by people shooting up in public, miles of them, a homeless population spiraling out of control.
00:35:09.000 The most tragic aspect of all of this is the heartbreak of mothers losing their sons and daughters to fentanyl poisoning.
00:35:15.000 The fentanyl crisis has engulfed the country.
00:35:17.000 It's become the deadliest drug epidemic in American history.
00:35:19.000 In 2023 alone, the toll of fentanyl-related deaths soared to 112,000 people dead.
00:35:25.000 Behind those numbers are the heartbreaking tales of loss and despair and a growing sense of abandonment.
00:35:30.000 Despite that devastation, Joe Biden is doing nothing.
00:35:32.000 They're fundamentally unserious.
00:35:33.000 Join me on the ground as we look into the consequences of Joe Biden's policy failures and how they've contributed to the gravest drug crisis the country has ever faced.
00:35:41.000 Watch the brand new episode of Divided States Abide in Fentanyl, America's Silent Epidemic, now exclusively at Daily Wire+.
00:35:47.000 Meanwhile, the Republicans continue to engage in just circular firing squads over and over and over again.
00:35:54.000 So apparently, the Republicans are now going to try to oust Mike Johnson from the speakership.
00:36:00.000 Because everyone's an idiot.
00:36:02.000 So, Mike Johnson signed on to a bipartisan budget deal.
00:36:06.000 I don't love that bipartisan budget deal.
00:36:08.000 Nobody loves that bipartisan budget deal.
00:36:09.000 Mike Johnson probably doesn't love that bipartisan budget deal.
00:36:12.000 The question was whether there was going to be another government shutdown leading up to the election in order to claw back some marginal gains in spending.
00:36:19.000 Now, you can make the case that a tougher negotiator would have held out further.
00:36:22.000 In fact, Chip Roy made that case.
00:36:23.000 Chip Roy recently, who is very much against this deal, he said, we better get our act together.
00:36:28.000 And then he says, you know who would have done a better job negotiating this thing than Mike Johnson did?
00:36:31.000 Speaker McCarthy.
00:36:32.000 He would have done a better job.
00:36:34.000 But remember, it was Republicans who ousted McCarthy for supposedly being too conciliatory with Democrats.
00:36:41.000 That was Matt Gaetz and company.
00:36:42.000 He was eventually replaced with Mike Johnson.
00:36:46.000 Now there's a movement afoot to boot Mike Johnson for negotiating this deal.
00:36:50.000 Let's be clear about this.
00:36:51.000 Nothing is going to change.
00:36:53.000 You could replace Mike Johnson tomorrow with Marjorie Taylor Greene or, for example, Chip Roy.
00:36:57.000 And the reality is that the incentive structure underlying a Congress where Republicans currently hold now like a one to two seat majority, you don't have enough people on your side of the aisle to simply shut down.
00:37:11.000 It's not going to happen.
00:37:12.000 No one is realistic about politics.
00:37:14.000 Here's Chip Roy saying, you know it was better when McCarthy was the actual Speaker of the House.
00:37:19.000 I oppose the use of the motion to vacate against Kevin McCarthy.
00:37:22.000 Very openly and very loudly against my right flank colleagues and everybody across the entire body.
00:37:28.000 I disagreed with it.
00:37:29.000 It was a mistake.
00:37:30.000 Kevin was actually honoring most of the agreement that we came up with.
00:37:33.000 We were actually having bills that we had 72 hours to read.
00:37:36.000 You know what?
00:37:37.000 That got violated this last week.
00:37:39.000 Mike was wrong.
00:37:40.000 We were actually putting bills on the floor with amendments.
00:37:42.000 All last year, we had great conversation.
00:37:45.000 Brian Fitzpatrick, some of the New York delegation, myself, Mike Garcia in California, moderates, conservatives, figuring out how to advance the ball and we passed the Limit Save Grow.
00:37:54.000 Conservatives voted to increase the debt ceiling.
00:37:56.000 We'd never done that before.
00:37:57.000 We passed the strongest border security bill we've ever passed.
00:38:00.000 We hadn't done that in years.
00:38:02.000 Um, we passed appropriations bills.
00:38:04.000 These are all things we can do if we'll just come together and work on it, but we better get our act together over Easter so we can deliver for the American people.
00:38:10.000 Okay, so Johnson, over the weekend, he signed onto a deal with Democrat help that passed the 1.2 trillion dollar measure.
00:38:19.000 And again, the reason that is happening is because the Republican Party is incredibly fractious, and Johnson understands.
00:38:25.000 That if the government shuts down, Republicans will, in fact, be blamed for that.
00:38:29.000 Because Kevin McCarthy was able to avoid a government shutdown and negotiate some concessions from Democrats.
00:38:34.000 And remember, it was a better deal that got scuttled by people like Matt Gaetz, and then McCarthy got ousted, and then they got a worse deal.
00:38:40.000 Because Republicans are currently engaged in this bizarre strategy of setting themselves on fire for the publicity of it or something.
00:38:46.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, while the broad outlines of the House Republicans' predicament are well known, an analysis by the Wall Street Journal of six major government funding bills signed into law during this Congress revealed the key components of this de facto coalition, based on ideology, relative electoral dominance in their districts, and other factors.
00:39:00.000 The group that currently runs Congress has remained largely stable over the half-dozen votes, including the one Friday, needed to keep the government open.
00:39:07.000 So, who exactly voted in favor of this particular bill?
00:39:13.000 Apparently, there are 168 Democrats and 72 Republicans who voted yes on all of these bills.
00:39:18.000 There are 55 Republicans who voted against all six measures, and then some Republicans have a mixed record on these six bills.
00:39:25.000 But the bottom line here is that, again, you don't have a big enough majority to do big things, and you don't control the Senate, and you don't control the presidency, and refusal to acknowledge the reality of how government works leaves Republicans to continue banging their heads against the wall and then shouting that they are being purer than their Republican colleagues.
00:39:41.000 Meanwhile, what actually happens?
00:39:43.000 Well, Johnson, who's now had a motion to vacate brought against him by Marjorie Taylor Greene after signing on to this latest budget deal.
00:39:49.000 Johnson may have to go to the Democrats in order to save his own job.
00:39:52.000 Because McCarthy, when he took the speakership, he negotiated, again, a deal that he had to do in order to get the speakership that allowed any single member to file a motion to vacate, which is insane.
00:40:01.000 That's insane.
00:40:02.000 That was a ridiculous deal.
00:40:03.000 McCarthy thought he could hold it together because everybody would be reasonable.
00:40:06.000 Always the downfall of Republicans, believing other Republicans are going to be reasonable.
00:40:10.000 That is not a thing that's going to happen.
00:40:12.000 And so now, you got AOC out there triumphantly stating that the only way to save Speaker Johnson is for Democrats to step in and save him, and they'll earn some concessions from Johnson in order to save him as the Speaker.
00:40:23.000 I am not inclined to vote for a Speaker Johnson.
00:40:26.000 I'm not inclined to vote for an individual who, for a Speaker, who doesn't believe in women's rights, doesn't believe in rights to bodily autonomy, who has supported overturning a presidential election.
00:40:44.000 Most likely be for a Speaker Jeffries, which becomes an increasingly likely reality day after day as Republicans pursue further midterm resignations.
00:40:57.000 But, you know, I think for those of us and for any Democrat inclined, I don't think we do that for free.
00:41:04.000 And I don't think that we do that, you know, out of sympathy for Republicans.
00:41:12.000 Okay, by the way, Matt Gaetz opposes the current motion to vacate against Johnson, despite the fact that Johnson just signed a worse budget bill than McCarthy.
00:41:18.000 Because remember, Gaetz and McCarthy were in a giant fistfight with each other, and that's really why Gaetz ousted him, not for any principled reason.
00:41:24.000 He said, when I vacated the last speaker, I made a promise to the country we would not end up with a Democrat speaker.
00:41:28.000 I could not make that promise again today.
00:41:30.000 Okay, first of all, let me just say, brilliant strategery there.
00:41:33.000 Just genius-level strategery.
00:41:34.000 So you ousted McCarthy.
00:41:36.000 Because you said that we wouldn't end up with a Democrat, we'd end up with another Republican.
00:41:40.000 And you've done such an amazing, wonderful job that a bunch of good conservative Congress people, like Mike Gallagher in Wisconsin, are retiring and leaving their seats in order not to be part of this bleep show.
00:41:49.000 And then you're like, well, I mean, we can't vacate now because a Democrat might take control.
00:41:52.000 Who did that?
00:41:53.000 How did that happen?
00:41:54.000 Weird.
00:41:55.000 Kevin McCarthy was on the TVs over the weekend.
00:41:57.000 He said, I don't think they'll do it again.
00:41:58.000 I don't know.
00:41:59.000 They might do it again.
00:42:00.000 Republicans have a great record of running directly into brick walls headfirst.
00:42:05.000 The difficulty here is when you allow eight Republicans to join with all the Democrats to determine who can run the House when 96% decide one way, it creates some chaos.
00:42:18.000 They've got to move through this, put the country first, and be able to move on.
00:42:24.000 I think they're able to do that.
00:42:25.000 Speaker Johnson is doing the very best job he can.
00:42:29.000 It's a difficult situation, but look, the one advice I would give to the conference and to the speaker is do not be fearful of a motion to vacate.
00:42:37.000 I do not think they could do it again.
00:42:39.000 That was surely based on Matt Gaetz trying to stop an ethics complaint.
00:42:44.000 I don't think the Democrats will go along with it, too.
00:42:47.000 Focus on the country, focus on the job you're supposed to do, and actually do it fearlessly.
00:42:54.000 Just move forward.
00:42:57.000 Okay, well, I mean, we'll find out.
00:42:59.000 We'll find out, won't we?
00:43:01.000 But I have very little faith in Republicans that they're going to be able to hold the fort together because, again, it's all posturing.
00:43:06.000 Congress has become a place of posturing rather than a place that actual policy gets made.
00:43:11.000 Chip Roy, again, Chip Roy is as conservative as any member of the House.
00:43:14.000 He opposes this deal, but also he's not in favor of vacating on Johnson because he understands that politics is a game where you have to keep coming back to the table.
00:43:22.000 So much of politics now is just people who want to podcast.
00:43:25.000 It really is quite pathetic.
00:43:27.000 Meanwhile, the big media story of the weekend is that Ronna Romney McDaniel has now been signed up over at NBC News.
00:43:33.000 Now, why is that a big deal?
00:43:35.000 It shouldn't really be a big deal.
00:43:36.000 I mean, Jen Psaki literally has a show on MSNBC and she was the spokesperson
00:43:40.000 for the current president of the United States.
00:43:43.000 She went directly through that revolving door from the White House to having a full scale show on MSNBC.
00:43:49.000 And half of MSNBC's contributors are people who literally work for the current
00:43:52.000 administration.
00:43:53.000 You had Simone Sanders over there, she worked for the current administration.
00:43:56.000 A bunch of people over there who worked for the current administration.
00:43:58.000 But Rana Rami McDaniel walked from RNC to NBC News and now the people at NBC News,
00:44:03.000 the objective journalism over at NBC News are very very angry at Ronna Romney McDaniel.
00:44:07.000 Now listen, I don't have to be a fan of Ronna Romney McDaniel's tenure in order to recognize that this is just pathetic kind of garbage from NBC.
00:44:14.000 Because, let's be real, Ronna Romney McDaniel did a bad job.
00:44:18.000 She won one election, 2016.
00:44:19.000 Those are all the elections that she won?
00:44:21.000 There were no more elections.
00:44:22.000 2018 sucked.
00:44:23.000 2020 sucked.
00:44:23.000 2021 sucked.
00:44:23.000 2022 sucked.
00:44:23.000 2024?
00:44:23.000 She's not gonna be in charge of.
00:44:24.000 2021 sucked, 2022 sucked, 2024, she's not gonna be in charge of.
00:44:29.000 But so far the RNC is really trailing in the numbers.
00:44:32.000 Okay, but she's now entering this revolving door between the media and Republican sort of political echelons.
00:44:38.000 And NBC News is very upset because it is besmirching their journalistic credibility.
00:44:44.000 So, NBC's Kristen Welker, she says, I wasn't involved in her hiring.
00:44:47.000 She says, oh my god, I can't believe.
00:44:50.000 This is very reminiscent of that time where I wrote a newsletter for Politico, and the entire Politico staff was like, oh no, we can't do that, that's terrible.
00:44:56.000 It's like, well, you're all political hacks, so I'm confused as to why you're upset that I, who I'm very open about my politics, but this is how it works over there.
00:45:02.000 In order to maintain their journalistic fake credibility, they have to pretend that it's some sort of great sin against their objective journalisming for Ronna Romney McDaniel to walk through the door.
00:45:12.000 I'll be joined by former RNC Chair Rhonda McDaniel in her first interview since stepping down as party chair.
00:45:19.000 In full disclosure to our viewers, this interview was scheduled weeks before it was announced that McDaniel would become a paid NBC News contributor.
00:45:27.000 This will be a news interview.
00:45:29.000 And I was not involved in her hiring.
00:45:34.000 Okay, so that is her trying to dissociate, but that's not as bad as Chuck Todd.
00:45:38.000 So Chuck Todd is very upset.
00:45:40.000 Chuck Todd is the most upset.
00:45:41.000 Here is Chuck Todd going on a diatribe, a jeremiad, about the evils of hiring Romney McDaniel at the same network that currently employs Jen Psaki.
00:45:50.000 What were your takeaways?
00:45:52.000 Look, let me deal with the elephant in the room.
00:45:54.000 I think our bosses owe you an apology for putting you in this situation.
00:45:58.000 Because I don't know what to believe.
00:46:00.000 She is now a paid contributor by NBC News.
00:46:03.000 I have no idea whether any answer she gave to you was because she didn't want to mess up her contract.
00:46:10.000 She wants us to believe that she was speaking for the RNC when the RNC was paying for her.
00:46:15.000 So she has credibility issues that she still has to deal with.
00:46:19.000 Is she speaking for herself or is she speaking on behalf of who's paying her?
00:46:24.000 Once at the RNC, she did say that.
00:46:25.000 Hey, I'm speaking for the party.
00:46:28.000 I get that.
00:46:28.000 That's part of the job.
00:46:30.000 So what about here?
00:46:36.000 I mean, she is speaking, I would assume, for herself, but she's also a Republican who was the head of the RNC.
00:46:43.000 I don't understand why this is confusing to Chuck Todd.
00:46:45.000 But he's very, very confused, because again, how dare we allow through the door somebody who, if that person were a Democrat, we would not only allow through the door, we'd probably make them like a nightly news anchor.
00:46:56.000 It is totally insane that the media are going to pretend they're very upset.
00:46:59.000 George Stephanopoulos is an actual quote-unquote objective news anchor.
00:47:03.000 He was like chief of staff to Hillary Clinton.
00:47:05.000 It's all just ridiculous.
00:47:06.000 It's all just ridiculous.
00:47:08.000 All righty, coming up, we'll talk about radicalism in the state of Minnesota because Minnesota is sort of a fascinating place where apparently the law no longer applies.
00:47:16.000 If you're not a member, become a member.
00:47:17.000 Use code SHAPIRO.
