The Ben Shapiro Show - Kamala FINALLY Agrees to Interview…Pre-Taped, With A Babysitter

00:00:00.000 Well, folks, despite what the media are saying right now, Kamala Harris is not only not running away with the presidential race, this race is effectively a dead heat.

00:00:08.000 Nothing has changed since that sparkling Democratic National Convention.

00:00:12.000 I'll give you the poll stats in just one moment.

00:00:14.000 First, your reminder, you can get 35% off a new Daily Wire Plus membership with code FIGHT at dailywire.com slash subscribe.

00:00:22.000 You'll get uncensored, unfiltered, ad-free shows, real-time breaking news alerts, and more.

00:00:25.000 But most importantly, you'll get the truth the legacy media don't want you to hear.

00:00:29.000 Like, for example, the truth that this is, in fact, a dead heat.

00:00:33.000 Take a look at the headline on this Yahoo News YouGov poll.

00:00:37.000 It's out today.

00:00:38.000 Brand new poll.

00:00:39.000 Here is the headline.

00:00:41.000 A huge surge in Democratic optimism, but no big bounce for Harris after the DNC.

00:00:45.000 Wait, who cares whether Democrats are enthusiastic?

00:00:49.000 The question is, who's winning the race right now?

00:00:52.000 And the very counterintuitive result here is that Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are locked in a statistical tie.

00:00:58.000 But listen to how Yahoo plays this.

00:01:01.000 Quote, in the wake of last week's Democratic National Convention, Americans now think Vice President Kamala Harris has a better chance of winning the November election, 39%, than former President Donald Trump, 36%.

00:01:09.000 Who cares about that?

00:01:13.000 They say that's a dizzying turnaround from last month when President Biden was trailing Trump 53-30, 53-20 rather, on the same question, a 33 percentage point gap.

00:01:21.000 But that, like, that is such a, that is such a low-level question.

00:01:25.000 Who do you think is going to win matters significantly less than for whom will you vote.

00:01:30.000 In this poll, Kamala Harris leads Donald Trump by one point in a head-to-head matchup among registered voters. 0.85

00:01:37.000 One point.

00:01:38.000 The margin of error here is three points, which means this is a dead heat.

00:01:43.000 It is a dead heat.

00:01:44.000 Not only that, the previous Yahoo News YouGov poll found Harris and Trump tied at 46% apiece, which means she got no bounce from the DNC.

00:01:51.000 Remember, the DNC was the most important thing.

00:01:53.000 That has ever happened on this planet.

00:01:55.000 It was beautifully staged.

00:01:56.000 They trotted out Barack and Michelle Obama.

00:01:59.000 They came down from on high, descended upon the people, and brought forth their haloed presences in order to demonstrate just how magical Kamala Harris was.

00:02:08.000 We met the ghost of Joe Biden at that DNC.

00:02:11.000 We brought forth the moldering corpse of Bill Clinton, prostate no longer working, and so he is now desiccating into ruin.

00:02:18.000 And of course, we saw Tim Walz with his weird sitcom dad, happy, goofy, communist energy.

00:02:25.000 And we saw Kamala Harris who spoke off a teleprompter.

00:02:28.000 And that was supposed to be a magical moment for the Democrats.

00:02:31.000 And here is the size of their convention bounce.

00:02:34.000 Zero.

00:02:34.000 Does not exist.

00:02:36.000 Why isn't that the news?

00:02:37.000 Why isn't the news that this thing is a dead heat?

00:02:39.000 And the answer is the media want you to believe this race is over.

00:02:42.000 They want you to believe this race is over.

00:02:44.000 The reality is Kamala Harris remains unpopular.

00:02:47.000 Today, after some of the most glowing media coverage in the history of media coverage, after the completion of the Democratic Media Human Centipede, Kamala Harris' favorability rating is 47%.

00:02:58.000 Not 60%, not 70%, 47%.

00:02:58.000 By the way, when she entered the race, she was at 40%.

00:03:01.000 not 70 percent, 47 percent.

00:03:04.000 By the way, when she entered the race, she was at 40 percent. 1.00

00:03:08.000 So, a minority of Americans like Kamala Harris.

00:03:11.000 And what is her favorability rating among independents?

00:03:15.000 It was 30, now it's 40.

00:03:17.000 In other words, people don't like her very much.

00:03:21.000 As far as approval of her performance as Vice President, 42%.

00:03:24.000 Again, these are not incredibly spectacular numbers for the current Vice President of the United States.

00:03:34.000 Democrats are more optimistic because they got rid of the zombie candidate and they put in somebody who is technically alive, but their fresh coat of paint on the crappy jalopy is not doing much for the American people.

00:03:46.000 Again, as it turns out, this poll shows a dead heat.

00:03:49.000 Not only that, some of the other polling that is favoring Kamala Harris, say for example, the morning consult poll.

00:03:56.000 That morning consult poll has not moved.

00:03:59.000 It has not moved since before the DNC.

00:04:03.000 And that is after some of the most glowing media coverage ever.

00:04:07.000 According to Morning Consult, not according to me, for the fifth week running, voters remained more likely to say they heard something positive than negative about Harris by a double-digit margin.

00:04:14.000 That has never happened for Donald Trump his entire career.

00:04:18.000 Meanwhile, only 42% of voters hold favorable views of Tim Walz.

00:04:23.000 And these are not great numbers for the Democrats.

00:04:25.000 So, after weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks of sycophantic media coverage, this thing is still a dead heat.

00:04:32.000 That is the actual news story.

00:04:35.000 And that means that Kamala Harris is in real trouble.

00:04:37.000 It's the reason why she is agonizing.

00:04:40.000 It's why her staff is doing Talmudic debate over exactly who should interview her, how, and where.

00:04:47.000 In fact, CNN had a panel just the other night in which they were agonizing over, does she even have to do an interview?

00:04:52.000 Does she?

00:04:52.000 Maybe she doesn't.

00:04:53.000 Maybe she can get away with never doing the interview.

00:04:55.000 Maybe we can actually just encase her in glass and put her in a museum and point at her and she'll be the president and we'll never find out what she thinks or whether she has the capacity to speak freely. 1.00

00:05:05.000 She is, as another commentator has put it, the AI candidate.

00:05:09.000 She's absolutely artificially generated.

00:05:12.000 At some point, she might have to be a human, but it ain't right now, is what the CNN panel was advising.

00:05:17.000 We know her position.

00:05:18.000 She's against fracking.

00:05:19.000 She's against private health insurance.

00:05:20.000 She's against gasoline cars.

00:05:22.000 That's what she told us when she ran for president last time.

00:05:24.000 She doesn't want to talk about those positions.

00:05:26.000 That's why she's stalling. 0.96

00:05:27.000 And she should do an interview.

00:05:28.000 I'm just politically saying, Brad, and you have to acknowledge.

00:05:32.000 Talking to the voters?

00:05:33.000 If she can, if she's gonna show up at NPR or somewhere like that, but she's not going

00:05:38.000 to take tough questions.

00:05:39.000 She's going to show up on a network and she's going to have a sit down conversation. 0.99

00:05:41.000 She has already said her campaign has already said that that's going to happen.

00:05:44.000 If you're waiting for the day, everybody else is waiting for the day.

00:05:46.000 It's a month.

00:05:47.000 It's a month.

00:05:48.000 She's actually on the ground.

00:05:49.000 She's doing bus tours across the state of Georgia.

00:05:50.000 She is talking to the voters.

00:05:53.000 Talking to the voters.

00:05:54.000 No, she's not.

00:05:55.000 She might be talking to the voters technically, but she's not hearing from the voters or answering

00:05:59.000 questions about the voters or anything like that.

00:06:01.000 Again, it is amazing.

00:06:02.000 We are now on day...

00:06:05.000 39!

00:06:06.000 39!

00:06:06.000 39 days, zero questions asked.

00:06:09.000 And now, apparently, we are supposed to be satisfied with an interview that she has now scheduled on CNN.

00:06:15.000 Folks, we're supposed to be fine with Kamala Harris never answering a single question. 0.90

00:06:19.000 Well, we shouldn't be fine with that.

00:06:20.000 We also should not be fine with crappy cell phone coverage, which is why you should switch on over to PeerTalk.

00:06:24.000 There's only one cell phone company that gives you free, premium access to the media you actually care about.

00:06:29.000 That company is PeerTalk.

00:06:30.000 This might be the best offer Pure Talk has ever offered.

00:06:32.000 Listen to this.

00:06:33.000 When you switch your cell phone service to Pure Talk on a qualifying plan, you get a free one-year Insider subscription to DailyWire+.

00:06:39.000 That is correct.

00:06:40.000 Take advantage of unlimited talk, unlimited text, 15 gigs of data, and mobile hotspot on America's most dependable 5G network for just $35 a month, and you get one year free of DailyWire+.

00:06:50.000 The DailyWire Plus Insider plan gets you access to our entire library of movies, series, and documentaries, including Ladyballers, What is a Woman?, Mr. Burcham, Foundations of the West, that's Jordan Peterson's brand new series, And more.

00:07:00.000 Plus, you get all our daily shows uncensored and ad-free.

00:07:04.000 Now, the only way you can get that special offer is heading on over to puretalk.com slash Shapiro.

00:07:09.000 I'm telling you to stop overpaying for your cell phone plan for a very long time.

00:07:11.000 If you haven't yet made the switch over to Pure Talk, now would be the moment.

00:07:14.000 Go to puretalk.com slash Shapiro today, switch to a qualifying plan, get one year free of Daily Wire Plus Insider.

00:07:21.000 Again, I've been using Pure Talk's coverage for years at this point.

00:07:24.000 It's excellent, crystal clear calls, and again, they don't hate your guts.

00:07:28.000 They actually like you.

00:07:31.000 Again, the media really don't want her to do this.

00:07:39.000 They really don't.

00:07:40.000 The amount of pressure that's being brought on Kamala Harris to do a solo interview is pretty much zero, which is why it hasn't happened yet.

00:07:47.000 Because if the media pushed a tsunami of coverage on why Kamala Harris is too much of a coward to do a one-on-one interview with, say, Lester Holt, It would happen. 1.00

00:07:55.000 But they're not pushing that.

00:07:56.000 And they're not pushing that because they are the recipients of their message from the Democratic Party.

00:08:01.000 They then, as stenographers, put that message out to the American public.

00:08:06.000 There was literally a headline last night on Politico, maybe the most insane headline I've ever seen, quote, Vance tries to tether Harris to Biden during Michigan rally.

00:08:15.000 What do you mean tries to tether Harris to Biden?

00:08:19.000 It's called the Biden-Harris administration, Politico.

00:08:22.000 She's the sitting vice president of the United States. 0.92

00:08:26.000 That's unbelievable, Vance.

00:08:27.000 Vance is pouncing on her vice presidency.

00:08:30.000 He's noticing that she's the vice president trying to tether her to Biden.

00:08:33.000 What do you mean trying to tether?

00:08:35.000 She literally got rid of the person who is her boss, still her boss.

00:08:41.000 She got rid of that guy, took his place, and is only famous because she's in his administration. 1.00

00:08:46.000 But it's the Republicans who are noticing.

00:08:47.000 It's our fault for noticing.

00:08:48.000 We're doing noticing again.

00:08:50.000 Here, for example, is MSNBC's Jose Diaz-Balart saying, she doesn't really need to do an interview.

00:08:53.000 I mean, she's already answering tons of questions.

00:08:55.000 We shouldn't, you know, we shouldn't pretend she's answered no questions.

00:08:58.000 Well, folks, she's answered no questions.

00:09:02.000 Yeah, I mean, Basil, obviously reporters are, you know, clamoring for that sit-down, but it's also been a line of attack from Trump.

00:09:09.000 Today he sent out a campaign email underlining it's been 37 days since Biden exited the race and still no Harris interview.

00:09:16.000 To be clear, she has taken questions from the press, just not in a lengthy televised sit-down.

00:09:21.000 Does this really, you think, Basil, matter to anyone other than journalists?

00:09:27.000 Yes, I think it should matter to the American people, and if it doesn't, that is to their great discredit, because they should want some answers.

00:09:33.000 On what the prospective president of the United States thinks about things.

00:09:37.000 So, finally, the Harris Walls campaign has announced an interview. 0.94

00:09:42.000 And it demonstrates what a weakling she is. 1.00

00:09:44.000 My goodness. 0.97

00:09:45.000 My goodness.

00:09:46.000 So the interview will be CNN, tomorrow night, 9 p.m.

00:09:51.000 Eastern.

00:09:51.000 And you're all excited, right?

00:09:52.000 Like, oh my gosh, we're finally gonna get a window into what she thinks about things.

00:09:55.000 Wrong! 0.86

00:09:56.000 It is not a solo interview. 0.93

00:09:58.000 She will be joined by her babysitter, coach, serial liar, Tim Walls.

00:10:03.000 She couldn't have like a regular interview, one-on-one.

00:10:05.000 She has a double interview. 0.97

00:10:08.000 She's bringing along her vice presidential nominee, presumably to help fill time and grin like a goofy weirdo. 1.00

00:10:16.000 And make weird hand motions. 0.89

00:10:18.000 That's what they're gonna do.

00:10:21.000 She's bringing along a chaperone. 0.99

00:10:24.000 She's the presidential nominee. 1.00

00:10:26.000 The current front runner for the presidency, she has to bring along a chaperone. 1.00

00:10:32.000 She can't do a solo interview. 0.87

00:10:33.000 She's not capable of doing a solo interview. 1.00

00:10:35.000 She can't go on even somewhat friendlies, like say a podcast, say Charlemagne Tha God, she can't do it. 1.00

00:10:40.000 She did it in 2019, she got her ass handed to her. 1.00

00:10:42.000 She's terrible at this. 1.00

00:10:43.000 So she's bringing along Coach Walz.

00:10:45.000 So if she starts to wander off into word salad land, he can jump in with his communist enthusiasm and jabber nonsensically about how she is joy.

00:10:56.000 That's the entire shtick.

00:10:57.000 Okay, so that is proviso number one.

00:11:00.000 Sure, it's an interview, but it's also with Tim Walz, who is there to eat up time, among other things.

00:11:05.000 Then, proviso number two.

00:11:07.000 The interviewer will be Dana Bash.

00:11:09.000 Dana Bash is not exactly an objective interviewer.

00:11:12.000 There's a reason they're not going with Lester Holt.

00:11:14.000 There's a reason they're not going with Jake Tapper.

00:11:16.000 They're going with Dana Bash because Dana Bash is, in fact, more of a partisan Democrat.

00:11:21.000 She always has been.

00:11:22.000 Here, in fact, is Dana Bash suggesting that Kamala Harris was not and is not the Borders are.

00:11:28.000 Uh, yeah, she was.

00:11:30.000 You guys all called her that.

00:11:33.000 This is the kind of thing that is playing out all over conservative media.

00:11:37.000 I just want to do a little bit of record correcting.

00:11:41.000 There's not record crime right now.

00:11:44.000 Number one, Harris was put in charge, as you said earlier, of combating the roots of immigration. 1.00

00:11:50.000 She was not and is not the Borders are. 0.99

00:11:53.000 That is the person who will be asking her questions.

00:11:55.000 So that's proviso number two.

00:11:56.000 So proviso number one, she's got a babysitter. 0.98

00:11:58.000 Tim Walls.

00:11:59.000 Weird sitcom dad.

00:12:01.000 Proviso number two, Dana Bash will be the interviewer on CNN.

00:12:04.000 Proviso number three, it's pre-taped!

00:12:06.000 It's pre-taped.

00:12:07.000 It's not live.

00:12:08.000 It's pre-taped.

00:12:10.000 Which means that presumably the Harris Walls campaign can exert pressure on CNN to chop out things that make her look bad. 1.00

00:12:19.000 So spot the edits, gang.

00:12:21.000 That's gonna be the game.

00:12:23.000 Pa-thetic. 1.00

00:12:25.000 Pathetic. 1.00

00:12:25.000 But exactly what you would predict. 1.00

00:12:28.000 Exactly what you would predict.

00:12:30.000 Again, she has consistently failed when put in live interview situations.

00:12:34.000 So they will not allow her in a live interview situation, specifically because there are many questions she cannot answer.

00:12:41.000 Among those questions, she now proclaims that inflation is running too hot.

00:12:45.000 She's the current VP.

00:12:46.000 Why didn't she fix it?

00:12:48.000 Do something about it.

00:12:49.000 She claims that she wants to be strong on the border.

00:12:52.000 So why didn't you do it?

00:12:54.000 She claims that the United States has a serious housing crisis.

00:12:58.000 So why didn't you fix it?

00:13:00.000 You're the current vice president of the United States.

00:13:02.000 That's the simple question Dana Bass should be asking.

00:13:05.000 Another question she should be asking, why is this guy with you?

00:13:07.000 What do we need this schlub along with?

00:13:09.000 Why is he here?

00:13:10.000 I mean, we've been told that your vice presidency is completely irrelevant to your positional stances on issues.

00:13:15.000 So what do I care what Tim Walz has to say?

00:13:17.000 By the way, the Harris campaign openly admitted that Tim Walz has also not been allowed to do independent interviews, one-on-one with anybody, because they are afraid he will say something that is at odds with her actual positions.

00:13:29.000 He doesn't know her positions either!

00:13:31.000 Folks, Kamala Harris does not know her own policy positions. 1.00

00:13:34.000 Tim Walz does not know Kamala Harris's policy positions.

00:13:37.000 But if there's one thing that we all know, it's that we are all going to die.

00:13:40.000 I know.

00:13:40.000 That was a real right turn right there.

00:14:41.000 As Frank Fleming over at Twitter, He also works with us on Daily Wire.

00:14:45.000 As he tweeted out, the reason that they're having them both in the room at the same time is they get their stories straight.

00:14:52.000 You wouldn't want a prisoner's dilemma where they're separated and asked the same question like, are you for electric vehicle mandates?

00:14:56.000 They might give different answers.

00:14:58.000 She's flipping her positions on and off like a light switch.

00:15:01.000 It's insane.

00:15:03.000 And that's the other thing.

00:15:04.000 Somebody needs to ask her.

00:15:06.000 Her specifically, not Tim Walz.

00:15:07.000 And if he jumps in, Dana Bash needs to say, or she's not doing her job. 0.68

00:15:10.000 If Tim Walz jumps in and starts to answer the questions, she needs to say, the question was for the presidential candidate, Mr. Walz.

00:15:17.000 That's what she needs to say.

00:15:18.000 Will she?

00:15:19.000 I highly doubt it.

00:15:20.000 But Kamala Harris needs to answer questions about why she has flipped positions. 1.00

00:15:25.000 It's not just whether she has, it's why she has.

00:15:28.000 Was she wrong in the first place or is she lying now?

00:15:31.000 That is the operative question whenever anybody flips a position.

00:15:33.000 They should have a good justification.

00:15:36.000 They should have a good explanation of why they've shifted their positions.

00:15:39.000 In the last two months, or since becoming the nominee, which is not even two months, it's like five weeks, since Kamala Harris became the nominee, Kamala Harris has sent out her surrogate to flip positions on, among others, the following issues.

00:15:55.000 Decriminalizing border crossings, Building a border wall.

00:15:59.000 Abolishing private healthcare insurance.

00:16:01.000 She was in favor of the abolition, now she's against it. 0.85

00:16:03.000 Electric vehicle mandates.

00:16:04.000 She was in favor, now she's against it.

00:16:06.000 Banning fracking.

00:16:07.000 She was in favor, now she's against it.

00:16:09.000 Opposing more police on the streets.

00:16:11.000 She was in favor of that, now she's against it.

00:16:13.000 That is all inside the last five weeks alone.

00:16:16.000 Five weeks.

00:16:18.000 Will Dana Bash dig into those issues? 0.96

00:16:21.000 Will she play a clip of Kamala Harris on the border wall?

00:16:25.000 Here is Kamala Harris, circa 2019, calling Trump's border wall a medieval vanity project.

00:16:31.000 Now we are told that she is in favor of the comprehensive immigration reform bill brought forth by Senate Republicans and Senate Democrats that would add to the funding for the border wall.

00:16:40.000 Axios headlined that she flip-flopped on the border wall. 0.99

00:16:43.000 Here she was in 2019.

00:16:44.000 What changed?

00:16:47.000 On the subject of transnational gangs, let's be perfectly clear.

00:16:52.000 The president's medieval vanity project is not going to stop them.

00:16:58.000 It's a medieval vanity project, but now she's in favor of the medieval vanity project.

00:17:01.000 Shouldn't she have to look at that clip?

00:17:03.000 Shouldn't she?

00:17:04.000 Shouldn't she have to look at the clip of herself talking about being the last person in the room on Afghanistan and explain why the pullout from Afghanistan was such a full-scale disaster?

00:17:12.000 Shouldn't she, the queen of the women, shouldn't she have to explain why it was totally fine to leave 19 million women in burqas without an education in Afghanistan? 1.00

00:17:22.000 Why that was the wisest and strongest decision she ever made as vice president of the United States?

00:17:27.000 Shouldn't she have to explain her reversal on the electric vehicle mandate?

00:17:31.000 According to the New York Post, despite VP Harris championing outlawing gasoline-powered cars in her Senate days, her campaign claimed Tuesday she's now opposed to electric vehicle mandates.

00:17:40.000 Yet another walk-back on behalf of the California Democrat, possibly the biggest one of them all.

00:17:47.000 In a fact-check email, Harris campaign rapid response director Amar Musa dismissed claims made by former President Trump about the VP's readiness to force every American to own an electric vehicle.

00:17:57.000 Fact.

00:17:58.000 VP Harris does not support an electric vehicle mandate.

00:18:01.000 What that leaves out is that when she was in the Senate, She co-sponsored legislation that sought to ban the sale of gasoline-powered vehicles by 2040.

00:18:09.000 That was the so-called Zero Emission Vehicles Act of 2019.

00:18:14.000 She was a co-sponsor on the legislation.

00:18:16.000 The bill would have forced automobile companies to transition away from fossil fuels by requiring 50% of new passenger vehicle sales be zero-emission cars by 2030, and then that mandate would ramp up 5% every single year.

00:18:30.000 But don't worry, she's not reversing herself.

00:18:33.000 Maybe Dana Bash can ask her about that.

00:18:34.000 Maybe Dana Bash should ask her about the radical increases in taxes that she is seeking. 0.58

00:18:38.000 One of the most hilarious things about Democrats talking about increasing taxes, they say, we need to balance budgets.

00:18:42.000 That's the big thing.

00:18:43.000 You know, the reason we're increasing taxes is because we're just spending more than we're bringing in.

00:18:47.000 I don't believe you.

00:18:50.000 You have inflated the currency in order to pay for the greatest spending binge in the history of the planet.

00:18:56.000 Not of the United States, of the planet.

00:18:59.000 We are looking right now at a national debt in the United States that now currently is ordering on $35 trillion.

00:19:10.000 $35 trillion.

00:19:13.000 By the end of this year, that national debt is going to be around $37 trillion.

00:19:20.000 It is going up exponentially.

00:19:23.000 And yet you're telling me that if you increase the marginal income tax rate on the richest Americans by like four or five percent, that's going to do a dime's bit of difference?

00:19:33.000 Everybody knows this is a spending problem.

00:19:35.000 This is not a revenue problem.

00:19:36.000 Revenue to the federal government has never been higher.

00:19:39.000 What you're talking about, right, and by revenue to the federal government, it's such a euphemism.

00:19:43.000 The federal government doesn't have revenue.

00:19:44.000 It has tax seizures.

00:19:46.000 Revenue implies that they are providing a service in return for the taxation.

00:19:50.000 They are not. 0.99

00:19:51.000 They are redistributing the income or wasting it on a bunch of stupid things the federal government has no business being in. 0.98

00:19:57.000 If I make revenue at my company, it's because I sold something. 0.99

00:20:00.000 It's because you bought something.

00:20:02.000 If the federal government takes in revenue, it's because it pointed a gun at you and took your cash.

00:20:07.000 But the lie that the federal government tells right now, and Kamala Harris presumably will tell, is that she's going to fix all of our fiscal problems by increasing tax rates. 1.00

00:20:14.000 Now, what's actually going to happen is what has typically happened.

00:20:17.000 When you increase marginal tax rates, economic activity tends to go down.

00:20:21.000 And when that happens, revenues grow lower.

00:20:23.000 But the great truth of democratic tax policy, it has never been about increasing revenue to the federal government.

00:20:29.000 It has always been about punishing success.

00:20:31.000 Barack Obama let the cat out of the bag way back in 2008 about this.

00:20:35.000 He was specifically asked in a debate, I think this is one of the most important political moments of my lifetime, he was asked in a debate that nobody remembers about whether he would increase the capital gains tax even if it meant less revenue to the government.

00:20:47.000 In other words, would he increase the tax rate even if it meant the government took in less money?

00:20:51.000 He said yes for purposes of fairness.

00:20:53.000 In other words, punish people who make money.

00:20:56.000 Punish them.

00:20:57.000 That is Kamala Harris's actual political philosophy. 0.97

00:20:59.000 It'd be great to get her to answer some questions on that.

00:21:02.000 She, for example, wants to let the Trump tax cuts expire. 1.00

00:21:06.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, she wants to increase taxes by about $5 trillion over the next decade and then cut other taxes supposedly by more than $4 trillion.

00:21:15.000 The cut taxes are not actually cuts to taxes.

00:21:18.000 They are just redistribution.

00:21:20.000 Very often when Democrats talk about cutting taxes, they're talking about, for example, earned income tax credits that actually are not weighed against earned income.

00:21:28.000 In other words, they're just checks that are being cut to people.

00:21:31.000 Folks, they're so dishonest.

00:21:32.000 These are not tax cuts.

00:21:33.000 Many of them are just redistribution, but the dishonesty has consequences.

00:21:36.000 That's true also in terms of crime.

00:21:38.000 Kamala Harris has flipped her position 27 times on whether you need more police officers in high crime communities.

00:21:44.000 Would you feel safe with Kamala Harris as president?

00:21:47.000 I wouldn't, which is why I trust Burna.

00:21:49.000 I'm about as pro-Second Amendment as it gets, but the thought of using lethal force, not ideal for everybody.

00:21:53.000 That's why you need to check out Burna.

00:21:56.000 Introducing the Burna Ungun, the non-lethal self-defense platform.

00:21:59.000 Lightweight, simple to use, it uses an easy-to-load 5 round magazine and is powered by an 8 gram CO2 cartridge.

00:22:05.000 Bernal launchers fire a .68 caliber chemical-filled projectile using patented pull-pierce technology, where the CO2 canister is only punctured on the very first trigger pull.

00:22:12.000 And that means your launcher is always at the ready.

00:22:15.000 It's capable of incapacitating an attacker for over 30 minutes.

00:22:17.000 It's accurate and effective at over 60 feet.

00:22:20.000 No permits, no background checks.

00:22:21.000 It's interstate travel friendly.

00:22:23.000 With Burna, you will be prepared to defend.

00:22:25.000 The Burna is a safer, more sensible alternative that could potentially save lives on both

00:22:28.000 sides, protecting both the user and the aggressor.

00:22:35.000 That's b-y-r-n-a dot com slash ben.

00:22:37.000 Check out the latest news about Berna.

00:22:38.000 That's b-y-r-n-a dot com slash ben.

00:22:41.000 Under her plan, taxes will go up sharply on some high-income households.

00:22:44.000 Top marginal tax rates will reach their highest point since 1986.

00:22:49.000 She also wants to push, as we have mentioned before, a 25% unrealized capital gains tax, which is totally insane.

00:22:58.000 If you're worth over $100 million, And by worth, we just mean on paper.

00:23:03.000 And you're privately holding your company, for example, and your company is, say, worth a billion dollars.

00:23:08.000 That means that $900 million of that worth will now be taxed at 25%, even though you've never sold a dime of the stock and you haven't taken the company public, which means you bankrupt the company and the person immediately. 0.99

00:23:22.000 It's total idiocy. 0.97

00:23:24.000 So she has endorsed Biden's proposed tax increases. 1.00

00:23:27.000 She says she's not going to raise taxes on the middle class.

00:23:29.000 That's a lie.

00:23:29.000 She for sure will.

00:23:30.000 Joe Biden would have done the same exact thing if he didn't have to face down the prospect of a Republican House.

00:23:37.000 And that, of course, is exactly correct.

00:23:40.000 You know, corporations, she wants to increase the corporate tax rate to 28%. 1.00

00:23:43.000 It is currently 21%, which is absolutely absurd.

00:23:48.000 Remember, every tax a corporation pays is money taken off the top line before they pay their employees.

00:23:53.000 It means wages go down because there is less money to go around to pay.

00:23:59.000 Large companies would pay a 21% minimum tax instead of the current 15%.

00:24:05.000 The rate coalition, a group of companies including Target and Altria says, quote, Vice President Harris' campaign pledge to raise the federal corporate tax rate to 28% would have devastating consequences, resulting in higher prices, lower wages, and fewer jobs.

00:24:17.000 And then she's telling the same lie that Joe Biden is telling about how if you make under $400,000, your taxes won't go up.

00:24:23.000 That, of course, is a lie.

00:24:24.000 That's not going to be how it goes.

00:24:26.000 Other forms of tax will certainly increase.

00:24:28.000 Meanwhile, she, of course, is attempting to pay off all the blue states.

00:24:32.000 So one of the things that the Trump tax plan did is it got rid of SALT, the state and local tax deduction.

00:24:38.000 The state and local tax deduction was a Democrat-pushed theory that suggested that if you paid a high marginal income tax rate in California, that was deductible against your income before you took federal tax.

00:24:48.000 Why did they do that?

00:24:49.000 Because, effectively speaking, that meant that these states like Florida that have a 0% income tax rate are subsidizing states like California.

00:24:56.000 California got to take off the top before people measured their income for federal income tax.

00:25:04.000 Well, the Trump tax plan got rid of that.

00:25:06.000 It meant that even for people like me, when I was living in California, my taxes actually went up under Trump's tax cuts because my tax to the state of California was no longer deductible against my federal tax.

00:25:19.000 Now, Democrats want to get rid of that because, of course, the entire goal here is to pay off their friends and harm their enemies.

00:25:24.000 That is precisely Kamala Harris's tax plan. 1.00

00:25:26.000 Should she be asked about that?

00:25:27.000 Sure.

00:25:28.000 Will she be?

00:25:29.000 Highly doubt it.

00:25:31.000 It's pretty incredible.

00:25:32.000 Meanwhile, the Kamala Harris campaign continues to futz around on whether a debate will even take place on September 10th.

00:25:37.000 So, Trump has again doubled down.

00:25:39.000 He said, listen, I already agreed to this ABC debate.

00:25:41.000 I don't know why they keep trying to change the terms.

00:25:42.000 I already agreed to this.

00:25:43.000 I don't know what they want from me here.

00:25:44.000 He put out a statement saying, quote, I have reached an agreement with the radical left Democrats for a debate with comrade Kamala Harris.

00:25:50.000 It will be broadcast live on ABC Fake News, by far the nastiest and most unfair newscaster in the business.

00:25:56.000 Tuesday, September 10th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

00:25:58.000 The rules will be the same as the last CNN debate, which seems to work out well for everyone, except perhaps

00:26:02.000 crooked Joe Biden.

00:26:03.000 The debate will be stand up.

00:26:04.000 Candidates cannot bring notes or cheat sheets.

00:26:06.000 We have also been given assurance by ABC.

00:26:08.000 This will be fair and equitable debate.

00:26:10.000 Neither side will be given the questions in advance.

00:26:11.000 No Donna Brazile.

00:26:13.000 That is a reference back to 2016, when the supposition was that Donna Brazile had handed over

00:26:17.000 questions to the Hillary campaign.

00:26:20.000 Harris would not agree to the Fox News debate on September 4th, but that date

00:26:23.000 will be held open in case she changes her mind or flip-flops as she has done

00:26:26.000 on every single one of her long-held and cherished policy beliefs. A possible

00:26:29.000 third debate, which would go to NBC fake news, has not been agreed to by the

00:26:33.000 radical left. God bless America. In other words, she's running from debates. 0.89

00:26:37.000 Consistently.

00:26:38.000 Consistently.

00:26:40.000 The Kamala Harris campaign, however, has said that they have not yet agreed to the terms of the debate.

00:26:44.000 They might want to keep the mics open.

00:26:46.000 Listen, Democrats won't even agree to the terms of the debate.

00:26:49.000 This is all a mess.

00:26:51.000 It's all a mess.

00:26:51.000 But you know what shouldn't be a mess?

00:26:52.000 Your health.

00:26:53.000 Listen, I've got a busy schedule.

00:26:54.000 I'm flying around the country for work.

00:26:55.000 I'm constantly on the go.

00:26:56.000 I need to keep my health at its tip-top despite all of those obligations.

00:27:00.000 I exercise a lot.

00:27:01.000 I try to get enough sleep.

00:27:02.000 Don't do amazing on that.

00:27:03.000 I eat well.

00:27:04.000 Balance of Nature fits directly into my day-to-day.

00:27:06.000 Imagine trying to eat 31 different fruits and veggies every day.

00:27:09.000 It sounds miserable and time-consuming.

00:27:10.000 With Balance of Nature fruits and veggies, there's never been a more convenient dietary supplement to ensure you get a wide variety of fruits and vegetables daily.

00:27:17.000 Balance of Nature takes fruits and veggies, they freeze-dry them, they turn them into a powder, and they put them into a capsule.

00:27:22.000 You take your fruit and veggie capsules every day, and then your body knows what to do with them.

00:27:25.000 They are kosher, which means that I can just put those right in the protein smoothie.

00:27:29.000 And that is why I'm just buffed beyond all measure.

00:27:31.000 Go to balanceofnature.com, use promo code Shapiro for 35% off your first order as a preferred customer, plus get a free bottle of Fiber and Spice.

00:27:38.000 That's balanceofnature.com, promo code Shapiro.

00:27:40.000 Again, you don't want to be choking down 31 fruits and veggies every day.

00:27:44.000 That sounds awful.

00:27:45.000 Instead, head on over to balanceofnature.com, use promo code Shapiro, get 35% off that first order as a preferred customer, and get a free bottle of Fiber and Spice.

00:27:52.000 balanceofnature.com, promo code Shapiro.

00:27:55.000 So remember, it was the Democrats originally who insisted on muting the mics because they were afraid that Joe Biden would get discombobulated by other people talking in his ear while he was talking.

00:28:04.000 So they had the mics muted.

00:28:05.000 And then it was really bad for him.

00:28:07.000 So now they want to reverse the rules.

00:28:09.000 And now they're saying that Donald Trump is chickening out unless he lets them reverse the rules.

00:28:13.000 Again, the way that Democrats work is they set the rules. 0.96

00:28:15.000 And if you buck that, that means that you're a chicken. 0.58

00:28:18.000 It means that you hate democracy.

00:28:20.000 If you just don't wish to abide by their rules, you hate democracy.

00:28:23.000 As we'll see in a second, they are perfectly fine with thwarting democracy at every possible turn for their own political benefit.

00:28:30.000 These great defenders of democracy.

00:28:32.000 Here's James Carville spelling out what the strategy is in trying to leave the mics open.

00:28:37.000 I wish they'd let Trump speak over because he's so rude and people don't like it.

00:28:42.000 And she is much better equipped to handle that than say President Biden was.

00:28:48.000 So I any chance, any opportunity you give Trump to be rude, I think you should give it to him.

00:28:55.000 But I don't I'm not I'm not that hung up on Again, this is their entire plan.

00:29:12.000 Their entire plan is they want the moment. 0.98

00:29:14.000 They want the moment from that horrible, stupid Kamala Harris vs. Mike Pence debate in which everyone, because we're a dumb country, focused on a fly on Mike Pence's head rather than the fact that Kamala Harris is a full-scale equity-first socialist. 0.98

00:29:26.000 Here's Al Franken, former Minnesota senator and CNN panel, saying what they really want is for Kamala Harris to get interrupted by Trump so she can do the I'm speaking. 0.99

00:29:36.000 He's mansplaining to me.

00:29:38.000 I am a vi- I am female.

00:29:40.000 Hear me roar.

00:29:41.000 Roar that I'm a victim.

00:29:42.000 Will it matter that he can speak while she's speaking?

00:29:47.000 I mean, I think it could as a parlor game, but voters aren't focused on that.

00:29:51.000 Let me play and take you guys down memory lane.

00:29:56.000 Just the I'm speaking of it all is one of the things that perhaps the Harris campaign wants to recreate.

00:30:02.000 Absolutely.

00:30:04.000 No, but Susan, this is important.

00:30:07.000 Mr. Vice President, I'm speaking.

00:30:09.000 I have to weigh in.

00:30:10.000 I'm speaking.

00:30:11.000 You have 15 more seconds, and then we'll give the Vice President a chance to speak.

00:30:14.000 Joe Biden has been very clear.

00:30:15.000 He will not raise taxes on anybody who makes less than $400,000 a year.

00:30:18.000 He said he's going to repeal the Trump tax cuts.

00:30:20.000 Mr. Vice President, I'm speaking.

00:30:23.000 I'm speaking.

00:30:24.000 The important thing is you said the truth.

00:30:26.000 Is he only going to repeal part of the Trump tax cuts?

00:30:29.000 If you don't mind letting me finish, we can then have a conversation, okay?

00:30:33.000 Please.

00:30:33.000 Okay.

00:30:34.000 Let's talk about the fact- Please.

00:30:35.000 Yeah, I'm about to.

00:30:39.000 I mean, it was iconic. 0.94

00:30:41.000 God, she's so obnoxious. 1.00

00:30:44.000 She's so obnoxious and they're begging for it. 1.00

00:30:45.000 They're begging for this obnoxious bull****. 1.00

00:30:47.000 They're begging for it. 1.00

00:30:48.000 They want it so desperately.

00:30:50.000 They want Kamala Harris to school-marm Donald Trump. 1.00

00:30:53.000 I don't think it's going to go quite the way they think it's going to go, by the way.

00:30:55.000 I don't think Americans like that kind of stuff.

00:30:57.000 I think that it was really off-putting for most people when they saw Kamala Harris going, to Mike Pence, the most polite person in the history of American politics. 0.97

00:31:07.000 It was ridiculous then, it's ridiculous now. 0.94

00:31:09.000 Meanwhile, J.D.

00:31:10.000 Vance, saying the things that have to be said on the campaign trail, he points out, hey, by the way, you know, I noticed that you're presenting her as candidate of mystery.

00:31:17.000 Hasn't she been the vice president for the last three and a half years? 0.86

00:31:20.000 My favorite line from Kamala is she says, if you elect her president, she is going to fix it all on day one. 0.99

00:31:26.000 Well, Kamala, I hate to break it to you, but day one was 1300 days ago.

00:31:32.000 You've been vice president for three and a half years.

00:31:34.000 What the hell have you been doing during all that time?

00:31:38.000 That would be the big question.

00:31:40.000 It would be.

00:31:41.000 But the media are too busy covering for her.

00:31:42.000 They're too busy pretending that she is actually not the Vice President of the United States.

00:31:46.000 And one interview, a joint interview, with her dad protector, Tim Walz, that ain't gonna do it.

00:31:53.000 And if it does, honestly, I keep saying this over and over, but it's true. 0.94

00:31:56.000 If the American people are so stupid that they fall for the idea that Kamala Harris is some sort of mysterious candidate about whom they know nothing, after years in the public eye, after reversing every position, After lying consistently, and after being the current Vice President of the United States, I'm just going to keep quoting Mencken until the cows come home. 0.98

00:32:17.000 Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard. 1.00

00:32:21.000 If that's what you want, you will get it good and hard.

00:32:23.000 Meanwhile, Democrats continue to claim that they are the party of democracy.

00:32:26.000 I have some proof that that is not, in fact, the case.

00:32:29.000 I'll get to that momentarily.

00:32:48.000 I, of course, have testified before Congress against the global media cartel, Garm, that was censoring conservative voices.

00:32:52.000 And guess what?

00:32:53.000 We dismantled it.

00:32:54.000 Now we are shaking up Hollywood with our first nationwide theatrical release, Am I Racist?

00:33:00.000 It's hitting theaters September 13th.

00:33:02.000 I should add, theaters are selling out across the country.

00:33:16.000 Now remember, Democrats say that they must be elected because Donald Trump is an opponent of democracy.

00:33:21.000 He hates democracy.

00:33:22.000 Democracy, it must be defended from the likes of the bad orange man. 1.00

00:33:26.000 Okay, well, RFK Jr.

00:33:29.000 was a third-party candidate.

00:33:30.000 He was.

00:33:31.000 And then he dropped out.

00:33:32.000 He endorsed Donald Trump.

00:33:33.000 Now remember, he tried to run originally as a Democrat in the primaries.

00:33:36.000 They rigged the primary process so RFK Jr.

00:33:38.000 could not participate.

00:33:40.000 And they rigged it so that Joe Biden would win.

00:33:42.000 Then, they decided to clue him out in favor of Kamala Harris without a single vote. 0.54

00:33:46.000 Again, that's what makes the coup so astonishing.

00:33:48.000 It's not just that he won primaries and then he was supplanted.

00:33:52.000 It's that they rigged the process to prevent all possible opposition.

00:33:57.000 They rigged it to stop anyone legitimate from getting in against Joe Biden.

00:34:01.000 They threatened and controlled anyone who might get in against Joe Biden and provide an actual alternative just to earn him the nomination.

00:34:07.000 And then immediately they swapped him out, which is truly an amazing feat.

00:34:12.000 I've been asked to go onto the transition team.

00:34:14.000 And, you know, to help pick the people who will be running the government.

00:34:17.000 out of the race. He endorses Donald Trump. And he announced yesterday that Trump had

00:34:21.000 asked him to be on the transition team.

00:34:22.000 I've been asked to go on to the transition team and, you know, to help pick the people

00:34:29.000 who will be running the government. And I'm I'm looking forward to that.

00:34:36.000 OK, so not only has he dropped out, not only has he endorsed Trump, he will be on Trump's

00:34:41.000 transition team.

00:34:42.000 Thank you.

00:34:43.000 He said he was going to move to withdraw his name from the ballot in 10 states, 10 swing states.

00:34:48.000 Now, here's the thing.

00:34:49.000 He's not running.

00:34:50.000 He's not running, correct?

00:34:51.000 Every vote on a ballot for RFK Jr.

00:34:54.000 is a wasted vote.

00:34:55.000 A literal wasted vote.

00:34:56.000 Because there is no possibility that he can be elected President of the United States.

00:35:00.000 He's not even running in a bunch of states.

00:35:03.000 He's explicitly asked himself to be taken off the ballot.

00:35:07.000 So, what are Democrats doing?

00:35:08.000 They're maintaining his name on the ballot.

00:35:11.000 That's how much they love democracy.

00:35:12.000 They want you to waste your vote on a person who actively withdrew and endorsed another nominee.

00:35:17.000 Do you understand how anti-democratic that is?

00:35:20.000 That's nuts!

00:35:21.000 That's crazy!

00:35:22.000 They are actively moving to keep what is, in fact, a dead vote on the ballot.

00:35:28.000 That's what Democrats are doing. 0.92

00:35:29.000 Don't worry, they love democracy.

00:35:30.000 Your vote must count.

00:35:32.000 Especially for the person who's not even running.

00:35:35.000 I repeat, it's totally crazy.

00:35:37.000 He himself asked Wisconsin and Michigan to take him off the ballot because he's not running in Wisconsin or Michigan and he doesn't want to take votes away from Donald Trump.

00:35:48.000 And Democrats who are in charge of the electoral mechanisms in Wisconsin and Michigan turned him down and said, your name will stay on the ballot even though you have asked that it not even be on the ballot so that people will make a mistake maybe and think and then vote for you.

00:36:02.000 Absolutely nuts.

00:36:04.000 According to Axios, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

00:36:06.000 will be on the ballot in the battlegrounds of Michigan and Wisconsin in November, even though he has suspended his bid and backed former President Trump.

00:36:14.000 Kennedy suspended his campaign to avoid taking votes from Trump.

00:36:16.000 Now his name will appear on the ballot in the various states that could decide the election.

00:36:19.000 Kennedy has been removed in Arizona, Nevada, and Pennsylvania.

00:36:23.000 He will apparently stay on the ballot also in North Carolina, a super competitive state.

00:36:29.000 A combination of state laws and overdue deadlines explains why Kennedy has been unable to remove his name from the ballot in some states.

00:36:34.000 Sherry Hardman, Senior Press Secretary for Michigan's Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, who is a Democrat, of course, said a minor party candidate cannot withdraw in Michigan.

00:36:43.000 Meanwhile, the Wisconsin Election Commission voted on Tuesday 5-1 to reject Kennedy's request to withdraw from the ballot.

00:36:50.000 So they're keeping him on the ballot even though he cannot even really receive votes.

00:36:55.000 He's not a candidate.

00:36:57.000 Meanwhile, the same people who are attempting to keep RFK Jr.' 's dead candidacy on the ballot, they're attempting to force Cornel West and his live candidacy off the ballot.

00:37:10.000 According to WDET.org, quote, independent presidential candidate, Cornel West,

00:37:15.000 must appear on the ballot in the battleground state of Michigan.

00:37:17.000 A judge ruled about a week after West was disqualified.

00:37:21.000 In Michigan, the state Democratic Party, Democratic Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson, 0.98

00:37:26.000 and a voter backed by a Democratic-aligned PAC had challenged West's candidacy.

00:37:32.000 So remember, Jocelyn Benson is the same person who just said one second ago,

00:37:35.000 RFK is a minor party candidate, he must stay on the ballot,

00:37:37.000 even though he doesn't wanna be on the ballot.

00:37:39.000 She is trying to get Cornel West kicked off the ballot, even though he does want to be on the ballot!

00:37:43.000 Do you understand this is how democracy works according to Democrats?

00:37:46.000 Vote for us or it's not democracy.

00:37:49.000 They are literally attempting to rig the process in Michigan this way.

00:37:53.000 That's insane.

00:37:54.000 They're doing it right out in the open.

00:37:56.000 They're not even trying to hide it.

00:37:57.000 Jocelyn Benson is so corrupt that she is trying to maintain RFK Jr. 1.00

00:38:01.000 on the ballot in Michigan after he withdrew from the race.

00:38:04.000 And she is trying to get Cornel West kicked off the ballot in Michigan, even though he wants to stay in the race.

00:38:10.000 Why?

00:38:10.000 Because if RFK Jr.' 's name is on the ballot, some Republicans might vote for him.

00:38:13.000 And if Cornel West's name is on the ballot, some Democrats might vote for him.

00:38:17.000 Totally insane. 0.86

00:38:18.000 Totally, totally crazy.

00:38:21.000 Cornel West, by the way, revealed on a podcast that the Democrats had just basically offered to pay off all his bills if he would drop out.

00:38:30.000 Were you offered a position in the Harris administration?

00:38:33.000 Any financial incentives to drop out?

00:38:36.000 Oh, I mean, it was definitely various kind of offers.

00:38:38.000 I won't go into concrete details of it.

00:38:41.000 I really won't because I don't, I don't even want to make that the focus.

00:38:46.000 Let's just say they did not offer you the janitor's position.

00:38:51.000 They offered you something, something, something relatively high up.

00:38:55.000 Well, I don't think it was that high up.

00:38:58.000 Did they offer you a cabinet position, a lower position and offer to pay off any of your campaign debt?

00:39:06.000 Well, they offered serious, subjective conversation about all of those.

00:39:13.000 Unbelievable.

00:39:14.000 So they were offering to pay Cornel West off, and at the same time, they were trying to throw him off the ballot in various states.

00:39:20.000 They love democracy.

00:39:21.000 That's the thing about the Democrats.

00:39:22.000 They really, truly love democracy.

00:39:24.000 In fact, they love democracy so much that they have been manipulating social media all over the place for years.

00:39:31.000 So as we pointed out yesterday on the show, Mark Zuckerberg issued a letter, a public letter, to the House Judiciary Chairman, Jim Jordan, admitting that Metta, which owns Facebook, erred in acquiescing to government pressure for censorship.

00:39:44.000 So Zuckerberg conceded that there was a lot of government pressure for censorship?

00:39:48.000 He said it was our decision whether or not to take the content down and we own our decisions, but in reality, in reality, the government was pressuring them.

00:39:56.000 Now, the reason that Zuckerberg said that it was their own decision is because if, in fact, it is seen that Facebook is some sort of government mechanism, then it can be regulated as a government mechanism and or held liable for damages.

00:40:09.000 But it is pretty astonishing, that letter, and demonstrates once again Democrats are perfectly happy with grabbing control of the mechanisms of the dissemination of information.

00:40:17.000 All of us on the right know about it.

00:40:19.000 They try to do it with garm by basically cuddling advertisers into not spending money on any show to the right of Karl Marx.

00:40:27.000 They've done it with social media where they put extraordinary restrictions on any right-wing content.

00:40:33.000 They've forced companies like ours to police ourselves for basic matters of facts that they just don't want broadcast.

00:40:42.000 Like really, really basic stuff that I can't say on YouTube, for example, for fear that we'll get yellow or red flagged.

00:40:49.000 All of this is part of a broader attempt to cudgel people into avoiding free speech.

00:40:54.000 And that's part of a broader international attempt to shut down free speech on behalf of the left.

00:40:59.000 The Wall Street Journal, That's a good piece from the editorial board today, talking about the arrest of Telegram CEO Pavel Durov over the weekend.

00:41:07.000 Conservatives in the US are rallying around Durov.

00:41:10.000 Telegram's largely hands-off approach to moderating content has made it popular among terrorists, as well as genuine political dissonance.

00:41:16.000 Journalists use the app to communicate with sources, though terrorist groups and authoritarian governments also use it to spread propaganda, as Russia has in Ukraine.

00:41:24.000 Paris prosecutors say Durov was detained in relation to an investigation into criminal activity on the platform, but many suspect this is merely a pretext because Europe is also imposing speech controls on other media platforms.

00:41:35.000 France in 2020 sought to require sites to remove hate speech, though most of its law was blocked by the country's top court.

00:41:40.000 The European Parliament then stepped into the breach with its Digital Services Act, which compels platforms to curb harmful content including so-called hate speech, disinformation, and propaganda.

00:41:51.000 The European Commission is conducting stress tests to ensure platforms police, quote-unquote, harmful content.

00:41:55.000 Companies can be fined up to 6% of their worldwide revenue if deemed non-compliant.

00:42:01.000 Thierry Breton issued an actual threat to Elon Musk, as you will recall, right before Musk did a recent live stream on X.com with Donald Trump.

00:42:08.000 Quote, I understand you are currently doing a stress test of the platform.

00:42:11.000 In this context, I'm compelled to remind you of the due diligence obligations set out in the Digital Services Act, wrote Mr. Breton.

00:42:20.000 As the Wall Street Journal says, this is thuggish stuff.

00:42:22.000 European regulators are trying to meddle in the U.S.

00:42:24.000 presidential election, yet the missive drew nary a peep from the Biden administration.

00:42:30.000 This is the reason why a lot of people are very skeptical of the arrest of Pavel Durov, for example.

00:42:35.000 So, all the friends of democracy, they're perfectly fine with keeping candidates who don't want to be on the ballot, on the ballot, in order to ensure that votes don't go to Donald Trump.

00:42:44.000 They're perfectly fine with kicking Cornel West or Jill Stein off the ballot, even if they want to be on the ballot, because those votes might be taken away from Kamala Harris.

00:42:52.000 They wish to manipulate or pressure social media to the best of their full ability.

00:42:56.000 And, of course, they are manipulating the judicial system.

00:43:00.000 Jack Smith has now unveiled new charges against Donald Trump.

00:43:04.000 Remember folks, this election ain't even close to over.

00:43:07.000 September 18th, Donald Trump has a judicial hearing in which he may be sentenced to jail time in the middle of the electoral cycle.

00:43:13.000 That is a thing that absolutely could happen.

00:43:15.000 And by the way, if Donald Trump crushes Kamala Harris in the debate on September 10th, it would not shock me at all if Judge Juan Merchan in New York sentenced him to actual jail time in an attempt to rig the election on behalf of Kamala Harris.

00:43:26.000 That'd be little to no surprise at all.

00:43:28.000 Well now, special counsel Jack Smith, according to the Wall Street Journal, filed a revised indictment that accuses Trump of trying to undo his 2020 election loss, saying the case remains largely intact, even after the Supreme Court's July ruling that former presidents enjoy sweeping immunity for acts they take while in office.

00:43:44.000 With the new indictment, Trump faces the same four federal offenses he was originally charged with, but Smith said the government refashioned the case to conform to the Supreme Court's holding.

00:43:53.000 Presidents can't be prosecuted for exercising core constitutional powers.

00:43:56.000 Now, again, this is not a shock.

00:43:58.000 It was pretty well predicted.

00:43:59.000 And I said at the time, the Supreme Court came down with its executive immunity ruling, that all that meant is that this would be kicked back down to the D.C.

00:44:07.000 Circuit Court of Appeals, and then it would probably be refiled at some point in order to avoid the implications of the actual ruling by the Supreme Court.

00:44:16.000 However, Jack Smith is not gonna let go.

00:44:18.000 He's like a bulldog, here's a terrier.

00:44:21.000 This is why special counsels very often are a waste of space and really should be answerable to the DOJ.

00:44:27.000 Because once they start digging, it is literally their job to find paydirt pretty much no matter what.

00:44:33.000 So, stellar stuff from Jack Smith.

00:44:35.000 Using the legal system against Donald Trump.

00:44:38.000 Rigging social media against Donald Trump.

00:44:39.000 Rigging the actual ballot listings against Donald Trump.

00:44:43.000 Ah, so many friends of democracy in the Democratic Party.

00:44:46.000 Really, really astonishing stuff.

00:44:48.000 Okay, meanwhile, Over in Florida, Donald Trump has been expressing some discontent with regard to Amendment 4 in Florida.

00:44:58.000 So, Donald Trump doesn't really know how to handle the abortion issue.

00:45:01.000 Obviously, he's been futzing around on it.

00:45:03.000 The actual answer to the abortion issue from Donald Trump Typically has been, although not explained particularly well, that it is no longer a federal issue.

00:45:10.000 Roe vs. Wade kicked it back to the states.

00:45:12.000 The states should decide on a state-by-state issue.

00:45:14.000 As President of the United States, he has no intention of signing any federal legislation into law.

00:45:20.000 The Supreme Court has already deemed a state's issue, right?

00:45:22.000 That's the easy way out.

00:45:24.000 That's what he's attempting to do.

00:45:25.000 Even J.D.

00:45:26.000 Vance, who's very pro-life, has said that.

00:45:28.000 However, Donald Trump is now afraid, apparently, to sound off on Amendment 4 in the state of Florida.

00:45:33.000 Amendment 4 in the state of Florida is a statewide constitutional proposed amendment that would effectively legalize abortion to point of birth.

00:45:44.000 So Florida has a heartbeat bill.

00:45:45.000 It's illegal to go get an abortion, except in extraordinary circumstances, after fetal heartbeat.

00:45:52.000 There's still a lot of abortions in the state of Florida, but that is the actual law in the state of Florida, and has been for a year and a half or so.

00:45:59.000 Democrats are trying to jog their voter participation by putting Amendment 4 on the ballot.

00:46:05.000 Amendment 4 suggests that, effectively, there should be no limitations on abortion.

00:46:12.000 Amendment 4 is not just a reversion back to the 15-week standard that obtained before the 6-week standard was put in place in Florida.

00:46:18.000 It blows out all standards on abortion, completely.

00:46:22.000 It is a George Soros-funded amendment.

00:46:24.000 It would allow late-term abortions all the way up to month 9 of pregnancy. 0.98

00:46:29.000 Also, Florida currently has a legal requirement that parents consent before minors get an abortion.

00:46:34.000 Amendment 4 gets rid of that.

00:46:37.000 Finally, Amendment 4 also says that healthcare practitioners, not just doctors, can perform abortions.

00:46:42.000 So anybody, basically, can perform an abortion. 1.00

00:46:45.000 So, the easy answer here for Donald Trump when asked how he would vote on that in the state of Florida is, I would vote against that amendment because it's so damned radical.

00:46:54.000 Even if I disagree with the heartbeat bill, I'm not going to vote for something that allows abortion all the way up to nine months and then enshrines it in the Constitution of the state of Florida.

00:47:01.000 That's the actual answer that Donald Trump should give.

00:47:04.000 I hope that he does, because obviously he's been giving a lot of kind of bad signs to the pro-life community.

00:47:09.000 A lot of people in the pro-life community pissed off at Donald Trump's position on national legislation with regards to abortion.

00:47:14.000 A position that, again, I'm a pro-lifer, so I fully sympathize with that idea.

00:47:19.000 I also understand where Donald Trump is coming from on a national level, but this is not a national referendum.

00:47:24.000 This is a state referendum.

00:47:25.000 So you should say, listen, Roe vs. Wade kicked it back to the states.

00:47:28.000 The state of Florida has a heartbeat bill.

00:47:30.000 The state of Florida.

00:47:31.000 I'm a voter there.

00:47:32.000 I don't believe in abortion to point of birth.

00:47:34.000 This amendment enshrines abortion to point of birth in the Constitution.

00:47:36.000 I'll oppose it.

00:47:38.000 It's that simple.

00:47:38.000 That's what he should do.

00:47:41.000 Alrighty.
