00:00:00.000 All righty.
00:00:00.000 So yesterday, the DOJ civil rights chief, Harmeet Dillon, resigned from the administration, which is a loss to the administration.
00:00:06.000 She's been great.
00:00:07.000 I've known Harmeet for years.
00:00:08.000 She served as our lawyer when we sued the federal government to stop the vax mandate, unlike other companies that actually just made their employees vax.
00:00:16.000 In any other case, she released a letter saying, In early October, I informed Chief of Staff Susie Wiles I will be leaving the DOJ after the 2026 midterm election.
00:00:26.000 Consistent with that conversation, I hereby resign as Assistant Attorney General for civil rights at the DOJ.
00:00:31.000 Serving you and your administration has been the greatest honor of my lifetime.
00:00:34.000 Thank you for giving me this opportunity.
00:00:36.000 And she was responsible for an enormous number of wins for the administration, including fighting DEI and protecting women under Title IX from the predations of males pretending to be women, and election monitoring and preventing the transing of the kids by teachers at schools without the permission of the parents and all of that, protecting religious liberty.
00:00:57.000 She did a really good job as DOJ, civil rights chief.
00:00:59.000 That one is a loss.
00:01:00.000 Now, there have been a lot of rumors swirling that the president's going to fire Pete Hegzett, that he's going to throw him under the bus.
00:01:05.000 Over the Iran war, which again, a lot of people are saying that the Iran war is the only reason, which is untrue, for Republicans getting shellacked in the election.
00:01:14.000 Were it only that simple, in any case, the president says that he is not going to be firing Pete Hegseth.
00:01:19.000 Here he was yesterday.
00:01:23.000 We see some chatter about Pete Hegseth.
00:01:25.000 Are you expecting any staffing changes?
00:01:27.000 No, I don't know.
00:01:28.000 Pete Hegseth has done a fantastic job.
00:01:31.000 Now, he's got some interesting things.
00:01:35.000 You know, we had more.
00:01:36.000 Generals than we did in World War II.
00:01:39.000 We had so many generals.
00:01:41.000 Everybody was a four star general.
00:01:42.000 I never saw anything like it.
00:01:44.000 And many of those people were woke.
00:01:46.000 I don't like a woke general.
00:01:48.000 And so he probably has opposition.
00:01:50.000 I think he's doing a fantastic job.
00:01:52.000 Okay, so again, the president, you know, honestly, he shouldn't blame Pete Hegsteth for any of this sort of stuff.
00:02:01.000 I mean, let's be real about this.
00:02:01.000 The administration has a policy, the Department of Defense follows that policy.
00:02:05.000 Pete Hegsteth has done a fine job as Department of Defense head.
00:02:09.000 Now, there's a move to quote unquote impeach Hegseth.
00:02:13.000 There's a world where Democrats plus Thomas Massey try to impeach Hegseth in the House.
00:02:17.000 There's no way that they're going to get to the full majority in the Senate to impeach Pete Hegseth.
00:02:21.000 It would be kind of a ridiculous exercise, frankly.
00:02:24.000 They might try it anyway, but good for Trump for sticking by his defense secretary. 0.86
00:02:28.000 Meanwhile, the dumbest rumor of the day was that Marco Rubio is going to resign from the Trump administration and then launch a bid for the presidency.
00:02:35.000 The UK Independent pushed this.
00:02:37.000 Quote, insiders say the U.S. Secretary of State and White House National Security Advisor Is preparing for the race to be the Republican nominee in November 2028, with Vice President JD Vance currently his main rival.
00:02:48.000 Mr. Rubio is one of up to five members of Mr. Trump's current cabinet who are thought to be preparing to run for the hills.
00:02:53.000 That apparently is untrue.
00:02:55.000 The Secretary of State dismissed reports who's planning to leave the Trump administration.
00:02:59.000 He said, Working for Trump until the end of his term has always been my plan.
00:03:03.000 Responding to news reports who's mulling an exit, Rubio said, I don't know where these things come from, to be honest with you.
00:03:06.000 I love the work I'm doing.
00:03:08.000 And he said, And plus, I always laugh when they say he's going to leave his job.
00:03:10.000 I go, Which one?
00:03:12.000 Fair enough.
00:03:12.000 Now, again, as I've spelled out, I do not think that Marco Rubio is going to run for president in 2028 because logic dictates that he probably will not.
00:03:19.000 Why?
00:03:20.000 Well, number one, we should start with the fact that 2028 will be an uphill battle for whoever the Republican nominee is.
00:03:25.000 Why would you voluntarily sort of jump into the middle of that?
00:03:28.000 Second, he would have to run against the sitting vice president, JD Vance.
00:03:32.000 And JD Vance is the sort of de facto heir right now to the president.
00:03:37.000 If he runs against JD Vance and wins, then he will be saddled with the fact that a lot of JD Vance supporters will be angry at him and an uphill battle against a Democrat in 2028.
00:03:45.000 If he runs against JD Vance and loses, then he will be done.
00:03:48.000 If he doesn't run and JD Vance wins, then JD might pick Marco Rubio as his vice president.
00:03:53.000 And then if JD Vance loses, Marco's the next front runner.
00:03:56.000 And if JD Vance wins, then Marco's the vice president.
00:03:58.000 So that's sort of the game theory logic as to why Marco Rubio.
00:04:02.000 I have serious, serious doubts that Marco Rubio is going to run.
00:04:05.000 I could be wrong.
00:04:06.000 Again, people get ideas in their heads, but I think it is very, very unlikely that Marco Rubio is going to run.
00:04:12.000 And so there's really no reason for him to quit unless he just tires of the job at this point.
00:04:16.000 We'll get to more on this in just one second.
00:04:18.000 First, let's talk about something important.
00:04:20.000 There's no more important issue than preserving the life of a baby.
00:04:24.000 Abortion is extremely common across the country, even post Roe versus Wade.
00:04:28.000 And the truth is that.
00:04:30.000 Very often, when a woman goes into a so called pregnancy clinic, they're actually going to a place that's not going to give them all the information.
00:04:36.000 What is the biggest piece of information women need to make an informed decision? 0.99
00:04:39.000 They need to see an ultrasound because it changes your life. 1.00
00:04:42.000 Because you finally see your own baby, and that's going to change how you perceive the so called cluster of cells.
00:04:47.000 And that's what happens over at preborn.
00:04:48.000 At preborn network clinics, 80% choose life.
00:04:52.000 28 bucks can help provide one ultrasound, $280 can help provide 10.
00:04:55.000 Reach her before the pill does with your strongest gift today.
00:04:58.000 Dial pound 250, say keyword baby.
00:05:00.000 That's pound 250 baby, or Visit preborn.comslash Shapiro.
00:05:04.000 Again, it's not a lot of money to save a life. 0.98
00:05:06.000 And that's exactly what happens when women see their baby on an ultrasound.
00:05:10.000 Again, I've done it with all five of my kids.
00:05:11.000 It's a magic experience.
00:05:12.000 It changes your perspective on life itself.
00:05:14.000 Head on over to preborn.comslash Shapiro.
00:05:16.000 All gifts are tax deductible.
00:05:17.000 And preborn is a five star rated charity.
00:05:20.000 Meanwhile, there are a lot of rumors that Susie Wiles, who's the president's chief of staff, is going to resign sometime in the next few weeks.
00:05:27.000 That has not been made clear.
00:05:28.000 It would not be super surprising for that to happen.
00:05:30.000 Very often, after a midterm shellacking, the chief of staff decides to take the outdoor.
00:05:35.000 A person named Caroline Sunshine, who frankly I'd never heard of, was on Jesse Waters on Fox News last night saying, quote, Susie Wiles needs to resign.
00:05:42.000 She needs to offer her resignation to the president before he has to ask for it. 1.00
00:05:45.000 Her campaign skills have not translated into governing. 0.99
00:05:47.000 Susie was behind the historic win in 2024. 0.92
00:05:49.000 She deserved credit for it and got the top job for it. 0.95
00:05:52.000 And said that now Wiles was behind the historic loss where we lost both Mississippi and have lost the Senate potentially for six years.
00:05:58.000 So that cuts both ways.
00:06:01.000 Now, again, do I think that Susie Wiles particularly lies behind the defeat?
00:06:05.000 I mean, I think that. 0.58
00:06:07.000 If Susie Wiles had had her way, the administration certainly would have been a lot more coherent and cogent, I think.
00:06:14.000 Again, when you look at a midterm election, at the end of the day, it has to be laid at the feet of the president who is the president during the midterms.
00:06:20.000 When Barack Obama got destroyed in 2010, it was Barack Obama's fault that the Democrats really got hurt in 2010.
00:06:26.000 Laying at the feet of Susie Wiles, Pete Hegseth, or any other staffer, I think, is probably doing it wrong.
00:06:33.000 With that said, will Wiles probably go?
00:06:35.000 Sure. 0.83
00:06:35.000 The question is then who would replace Susie Wiles? 0.83
00:06:37.000 There's been a lot of talk.
00:06:38.000 About a variety of people like Bill Pulte, people who are sort of Trump insiders, people that President Trump likes personally.
00:06:45.000 Again, the reason that Trump 1.0 worked really well, that the first Trump administration was quite effective, is not because Trump had a team of enablers around him.
00:06:54.000 It's because he had a bunch of people who would sometimes push back and say, listen, Mr. President, this is not a good idea.
00:07:01.000 Right here, this is not a great idea.
00:07:04.000 And the president at this time decided to staff up people who are quote unquote loyal, meaning who are going to sort of confirm his priors.
00:07:11.000 And that has not ended particularly well.
00:07:13.000 So we'll see where we go from here.
00:07:15.000 What an amazing video you just watched.
00:07:17.000 Wasn't that amazing?
00:07:18.000 Well, you know, if you think so, head on over to dailywire.comslash subscribe to watch the full show ad free or check out this crazy story here.
00:07:27.000 Father, I used to feel Christ.
00:07:31.000 I cannot feel anything here.
00:07:44.000 They take me out of my bed and they brought me here and they tell me nothing.
00:07:49.000 What have I done?
00:07:50.000 Article 58, counter-revolutionary activity.
00:07:53.000 That is all I know.
00:07:55.000 They have to deal with so many enemies of the state, all of whom claim their innocence, who protest, who cry.
00:08:09.000 There are no answers here Other than the ones they put in your mouth you'll break Today is your opportunity to demonstrate your loyalty to the people I'd like to know why I'm here of course But you already know don't you must believe in something greater than the party You will remember your duty.
00:08:38.000 I've told you I know nothing leave ground like a pharaoh You stink of failure.
00:08:46.000 You want me to lie. 0.99
00:08:47.000 Still a drunk. 1.00
00:08:48.000 Damn you! 1.00
00:08:51.000 They all break. 1.00
00:08:55.000 Maybe.
