Summary

Joe Biden's press conference last night was a disaster for him, but maybe he can still pull himself back into the race. Democrats are desperate to force him out of the race, but they don't know what to do with him, and they don t know how to get him to leave the campaign if he doesn't decide to run for re-election. Biden's poll numbers continue to tank, but there's still a chance that he could still win the 2020 election if he decides to jump back in the race at some point. But it's going to take a lot more than that to win in 2020, and there's a lot of reason to believe that he won't be able to do so, and that he'll have to decide if he wants to stay in the campaign or leave it all together. And that's a problem for the Democratic Party and for the country at large, because Joe Biden is running out of time to change his mind and decide whether or not he should stay or go home. Today's episode is all about what s going on inside the Biden camp, and what s happening inside the White House, and why it's so important for Joe Biden to stay or leave the race and what he needs to do to keep his campaign on track to win the nomination and keep his 2020 campaign on the path to victory in the 2020 Democratic primary race. We'll talk all about that and much more in this episode of the latest from CNN's Rachel Maddow and the New York Times' Maria Menounos. breaking down the latest on Joe Biden press conference and why he should or shouldn't be running for president in 2020. and why you should stay in 2020 and what it s going to do if he s not running for President in 2020 after all of the polls are not good enough. And much, much less what s really going to happen if Joe Biden decides to run in 2020 and what to expect going forward in 2020 if he does run for president next time. 00:00:00.000 So let's try to think of worst case scenario for Democrats right now.
00:00:04.000 Worst case scenario is not Joe Biden dropping out.
00:00:06.000 If Joe Biden dropped out, they'd get Kamala Harris or somebody else, and then they'd have a fresh race against Donald Trump.
00:00:13.000 And worst case scenario is not really Joe Biden staying in, because if he just stays in, And everybody consolidates behind him, then he probably loses, but it doesn't have this massive down ballot effect.
00:00:25.000 The worst case scenario for Democrats is not being sure.
00:00:28.000 It is, in fact, the worst case scenario because half the party, more than half the party, wants Joe Biden out.
00:00:34.000 Joe Biden and his family want him in.
00:00:36.000 It's tearing the party apart.
00:00:38.000 It's creating massive chaos inside the Democratic Party and it is sinking Joe Biden's poll numbers and the rest of the Democratic Party.
00:00:44.000 And what Joe Biden has done over the course of the last couple of weeks is make that situation so much worse.
00:00:51.000 So when you take a look at the polling data right now, the polling data is very consistent.
00:00:55.000 It shows Donald Trump with a very consistent three to five point lead in the national polling data.
00:01:00.000 That is according to RealClearPolitics.
00:01:01.000 According to that RealClearPolitics polling average, Donald Trump is leading in the following battleground states, Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.
00:01:09.000 He's within spitting distance in Virginia, New Hampshire, and even Minnesota.
00:01:14.000 All of which is a disaster area for Joe Biden because the map is very, very broad for Donald Trump and it is extraordinarily narrow for Joe Biden.
00:01:23.000 However, the Democratic Party can't force the old man out.
00:01:26.000 And they can't force him out because despite the fact that he currently has a 32% approval rating, according to Pew Research, 32%, including a 27% approval rating among people aged 18 to 29, which is supposed to be his radical magical base.
00:01:41.000 Despite that fact, every so often there will be a sort of outlier poll that shows a dead heat between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
00:01:48.000 And that's enough for Joe Biden to believe that maybe he can pull this thing out after all.
00:01:53.000 A brand new Washington Post-ABC News Ipsos poll released on Thursday found that Trump and Joe Biden are in a dead heat for the nation's popular vote.
00:02:01.000 Those results almost mirrored those of an ABC News Ipsos poll from April, in which registered voters favored Trump by 2 points, 46 to 44, the 8% going someplace else.
00:02:14.000 The big problem for congressional Democrats is if they want to oust Joe Biden, they're going to need better data than that.
00:02:19.000 And what they really need to do is somehow convince Dr. Jill Biden, who is the driving force behind Joe Biden's logic, that there's no way that Joe Biden can win.
00:02:28.000 But there's no way to convince him of that, because Joe Biden keeps thinking that whatever poll shortcomings he is having right now are due to the fact that his own base is not supporting him properly.
00:02:36.000 According to Politico today, the First Family remains committed to the campaign, with First Lady Jill Biden and the President's son, Hunter, both telling Confidants they still believe the President is the only candidate who can beat Trump, according to two people familiar.
00:02:49.000 The First Lady has also expressed fear that bailing out would make the Atlanta debate a defining image of her husband's presidency, an outcome she finds unacceptable, the people said.
00:02:57.000 Biden's sister, Valerie, also remains committed to the campaign, but has not ruled out advocating changes if the race becomes damaging to her brother's health and legacy.
00:03:04.000 So, in essence, all of the immediate family of Joe Biden is telling him to stay in.
00:03:09.000 And Dr. Jill Biden, who has this bizarre image in her head that if Joe Biden steps down, that's going to be much worse for him than if he runs and loses, she's the one in his ear.
00:03:18.000 Meanwhile, aides are bracing for a new wave of defections following Joe Biden's press conference that happened last night.
00:03:24.000 But here's the thing.
00:03:25.000 Joe Biden had his press conference last night.
00:03:26.000 We'll get to in a minute.
00:03:27.000 It wasn't as big a disaster area as many of the Biden critics had hoped.
00:03:31.000 In fact, it was sort of best case scenario for Trump, because if you are Donald Trump and the Republican Party and you want chaos inside the Democratic Party to maintain, what you want is Joe Biden not to perform well.
00:03:41.000 He's not capable of that anymore.
00:03:42.000 What you want is for him to perform just not badly enough that he sticks around.
00:03:48.000 That is like best case scenario.
00:03:49.000 He continues to divide the Democratic Party and be terrible, but not quite terrible enough that you can take the old man and throw him off a bridge.
00:03:56.000 That is the best thing that could happen to the Trump campaign right now.
00:03:59.000 And that happens to be precisely what is happening.
00:04:02.000 The leaks around the Biden White House are getting worse and worse and worse.
00:04:06.000 According to CNN yesterday, Even before Biden made remarks at the George Clooney fundraiser, whispers of concern rippled through the audience at the Peacock Theater about the president who had just arrived from a long flight from Italy.
00:04:18.000 He was less cogent than usual, said one attendee, who was surprised that during a smaller meeting with donors before the main event, Biden barely spoke.
00:04:24.000 Instead, this person said he left virtually all of the talk to former President Barack Obama, which struck some guests as unusual for an loquacious politician like Biden.
00:04:33.000 But significantly worse than that, back in Washington, there have been clear signs throughout his term of Biden being increasingly stage-managed, with lists of talking points, names of questioners, and drawings of where he should walk presented to him by aides.
00:04:44.000 Ahead of closed-door Cabinet meetings that Biden attends, it is customary for Cabinet officials to submit questions and key talking points they plan to present in front of Biden ahead of time to White House aides.
00:04:56.000 You understand what that means?
00:04:57.000 That means they haven't had a regular cabinet meeting for years inside the White House.
00:05:01.000 You know, one where everybody sort of comes in and informs the president and they have an interesting conversation about what's going on in the world?
00:05:06.000 Nope!
00:05:07.000 Instead, they're submitting pre-written talking points to White House aides so they can then translate that into Dr. Seuss rhymes for the old man.
00:05:16.000 So apparently at the cabinet meetings, they are literally submitting pre-written talking points at the cabinet meetings, which is unbelievably stupid.
00:05:23.000 But you know what else is stupid?
00:05:25.000 Not getting life insurance.
00:05:26.000 You need to get life insurance.
00:05:27.000 It is a smart thing to do.
00:05:28.000 I hope Joe Biden has life insurance.
00:05:30.000 That dude's looking kind of peaking.
00:05:32.000 Getting life insurance will give you peace of mind knowing that if something were to happen to you, your family could cover their expenses while getting back on their feet.

00:06:26.000 The entire display is kind of an act, one of the sources told CNN.
00:06:28.000 They would come and say, hey, the president's going to call on you 25 minutes in and ask this question.
00:06:32.000 What are the bullet points you'll respond with?
00:06:34.000 By the way, this just demonstrates everyone in the cabinet has been lying.
00:06:37.000 They've all been lying.
00:06:37.000 They're like, in the meetings, Joe Biden is so sharp and he's really with it.
00:06:41.000 They scripted the cabinet meetings.
00:06:43.000 That's unthinkable.
00:06:45.000 Have you ever had a meeting at your company that was pre-scripted, like full-scale pre-scripted, where you and your aides, the people who work at your company, you tell them, like, 25 minutes in, I need you to ask this question, I'm going to answer you such and such.
00:06:56.000 That has never once happened at our company.
00:06:58.000 In fact, there are no functioning companies that works like that.
00:07:00.000 I've never even heard of a cabinet meeting working like that at the White House.
00:07:05.000 It's even worse than that.
00:07:06.000 A second source who echoed that same description said, when Biden attends cabinet meetings,
00:07:10.000 they're not freewheeling and pretty well orchestrated.
00:07:12.000 The meetings themselves are infrequent, with one cabinet secretary telling CNN,
00:07:16.000 they're uncertain of Biden's condition because they so rarely see him.
00:07:19.000 In fact, the last full cabinet meeting took place October 2nd, 2023.
00:07:26.000 Okay, now, note that date, October 2nd, 2023.
00:07:30.000 Did anything happen shortly thereafter that might have necessitated like a full cabinet meeting?
00:07:33.000 Can you think of anything like October 2nd, 2023?
00:07:35.000 Like say five days later, say like October 7th, 2023.
00:07:39.000 He has not had a full cabinet meeting since before October 7th.
00:07:43.000 That's how bad things are.
00:07:46.000 And it gets even worse than that.
00:07:48.000 You'll recall that just a couple of days ago, Joe Biden did an interview on Milwaukee Radio.
00:07:53.000 This would be the interview where he infamously suggested that he was the first black vice president to the first black president.
00:08:00.000 As we'll see in just a few minutes, he has some real trouble in labeling who exactly was vice president when and who the vice president is now.
00:08:06.000 Because everything is going fine in Joe Biden's brain.
00:08:08.000 It's all fine up there.
00:08:10.000 But in that interview, we then learned that the Biden White House had effectively prescripted all the questions With the host.
00:08:18.000 They told them what questions to ask.
00:08:19.000 But it gets even worse than that.
00:08:21.000 Civic Media, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, a Wisconsin-based progressive talk radio network, said Thursday it had agreed to make two edits to an interview with Joe Biden at the request of his campaign before the broadcast aired.
00:08:32.000 A decision the station said fell short of journalistic interview standards.
00:08:35.000 The station said it stood by its popular host, Earl Ingram.
00:08:39.000 But apparently, the Biden campaign called and asked for two edits to the recording before it aired.
00:08:44.000 Civic Media Management immediately decided to cut them.
00:08:49.000 What exactly did they cut?
00:08:50.000 Well, there's one statement where Joe Biden said, quote, I have more blacks in my administration than any other president, all other presidents combined, and in major positions, cabinet positions.
00:09:02.000 Okay, that sounds a little weird.
00:09:06.000 Also, they cut out a comment that he made, in which he suggested that Donald Trump had called for the hanging of the Central Park Five.
00:09:14.000 So, we now have the White House calling up journalistic outlets and literally cutting things out of interviews before they air.
00:09:22.000 Solid stuff here from this pre-scripted, pathetic White House.
00:09:25.000 So, all of this, leading up to last night, was building.
00:09:29.000 It was really building.
00:09:30.000 Article after article after article talking about the build inside the Democratic camp against Joe Biden, the massive problem they were having.
00:09:38.000 The New York Times reported yesterday afternoon, quote, Biden advisors way how to convince him to end his campaign.
00:09:45.000 President Biden found himself increasingly isolated on Thursday, as a small group of his longtime aides and advisors have become convinced he will have to make what they see as the painful but inevitable decision to abandon his campaign for re-election, according to three people who have been briefed on the matter.
00:09:58.000 In recent days, the group has been trying to come up with ways to persuade Biden to step aside from the campaign.
00:10:03.000 Those discussions were recounted by three people familiar with them who, like others in this article, spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive situation.
00:10:10.000 There is no indication that any of the discussions have reached Biden himself, according to one of the informed people.
00:10:15.000 At the center of it all is Mr. Biden, who is convinced he's the only one who can beat former President Donald J. Trump.
00:10:21.000 So again, his aides are themselves leaking, like fury, everywhere that Biden needs to leave the race.
00:10:29.000 The people closest to the president, remain adamant Biden will stay in the race, according to the New York Times.
00:10:36.000 But it is a massive problem and it is a burgeoning problem.
00:10:39.000 It's not just the New York Times.
00:10:40.000 NBC News quote, No one involved in the effort thinks he has a path.
00:10:44.000 Biden insiders say the writing is on the wall.
00:10:46.000 The set of Democrats who think he should reconsider his decision to stay in the race has grown to include aides, operatives, and officials tasked with guiding his campaign to victory.
00:10:55.000 According to Jonathan Allen, Natasha Karecki, and Carol Lee, quote, several of President Joe Biden's closest allies, including three people directly involved in efforts to reelect him, told NBC News they now see his chances of winning as zero.
00:11:07.000 Not close to zero.
00:11:08.000 Zero.
00:11:09.000 And the likelihood of him taking down fellow Democratic candidates growing.
00:11:12.000 He needs to drop out, one Biden campaign official said.
00:11:15.000 He will never recover from this.
00:11:17.000 For two weeks, Biden has struggled to stabilize his campaign following a late June debate debacle.
00:11:23.000 His ongoing cleanup effort has done little to reassure lawmakers and party officials.
00:11:26.000 Instead, the reverse is happening.
00:11:29.000 And indeed, just yesterday, two more House Democrats called for him to step down.
00:11:33.000 One House Democrat, one so far, has to actually call for him to quit the presidency entirely.
00:11:38.000 Forget about the race, the actual presidency, which, by the way, is the only honest answer.
00:11:41.000 If you believe that he is not up to this race, then you also believe he is not up to the job of being President of the United States.
00:11:47.000 Meanwhile, in advance of Joe Biden's big boy press conference, this is the big story yesterday, is that Joe Biden, all week long, had been touting how he was going to stand strong at his big boy press conference.
00:11:57.000 Again, I didn't coin that term.
00:11:59.000 The White House literally used it because they're awful at their job.
00:12:02.000 Awful.
00:12:03.000 They're doing the full-on huggies, I'm a big kid now, as Joe Biden poops his pants.
00:12:09.000 So they called a big boy press conference for Thursday evening, and there's a lot of buildup.
00:12:13.000 A lot of buildup.
00:12:14.000 In fact, so much buildup that according to Politico, House Democrats were preparing to break with Biden if he tanks his NATO press conference.
00:12:20.000 Democratic lawmakers are making contingency plans, they write, in case Joe Biden tanks his highly anticipated solo press conference later Thursday, with at least a half-dozen lawmakers preparing to go public against the president, according to six people familiar with discussions.
00:12:33.000 Three of those lawmakers had already drafted statements according to two people who had been briefed on
00:12:37.000 conversations.
00:12:38.000 This is a moment that will make a difference, said Representative Dan Kildee of Michigan,
00:12:41.000 who's retiring from his Michigan swing seat this fall.
00:12:44.000 Among House Democrats, there's a pervasive sense of panic about Biden at the top of the ticket.
00:12:50.000 But there's a deep divide internally about how to handle the situation.
00:12:53.000 Many are privately skeptical that any number of Democratic defections would convince Biden to leave the ticket, calling it delusional.
00:12:59.000 Others insist a large enough groundswell could make a difference, pointing to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Nancy Pelosi, who could theoretically relay concerns to Biden himself.
00:13:07.000 Regardless, all Democrats agree on one thing.
00:13:09.000 The party is running out of time to come up with a strategy to help them defeat Trump and take back the House in November.
00:13:16.000 Representative Brittany Peterson of Colorado, Democrat, said Biden's NATO presser is part of a bigger picture of whether he's able to answer unscripted questions.
00:13:25.000 Meanwhile, major Democratic donors are putting an end to their fundraising.
00:13:28.000 They're putting it on ice.
00:13:30.000 Until, at the very least, they find out whether Joe Biden is going to be at the top of the ticket.
00:13:34.000 One Democratic donor named John Morgan, a Florida attorney major donor to Democrats, told CNN's Abby Phillip he had paused an end-of-summer fundraiser planned for Joe Biden due to uncertainty about whether Biden was even going to be on the ticket.
00:13:46.000 So again, all of this has been building for two weeks.
00:13:49.000 It should have been building for years, given the fact that the president is not only wildly unpopular in terms of policy, but also is gone in terms of his senescence.
00:13:58.000 He is toast in terms of his brain.
00:14:01.000 But all of this really came down to yesterday.
00:14:04.000 So yesterday was all about his performance at NATO.
00:14:07.000 Now, the good news for Joe Biden is the bar has been set so low, so unbelievably low by his debate, that if he is at any point a little bit conscious, it appears to be a win.
00:14:19.000 He barely passed that bar yesterday.
00:14:21.000 Well, Joe Biden is falling apart, but you know what?
00:14:23.000 You need to preserve your business.
00:14:26.000 When we started The Daily Wire, the biggest question mark was what we would do for HR.

00:15:21.000 Type in Ben Shapiro.
00:15:23.000 So, going into the day, world leaders were already signaling their concerns.
00:15:28.000 According to Politico, nervous world leaders greet Biden at NATO.
00:15:31.000 You're worried if he knows which direction he's going, which is always a good look.
00:15:35.000 According to Politico, the contrast couldn't be starker.
00:15:37.000 President Joe Biden, physically and politically frail, presiding over what could be his final NATO summit at a moment when the alliance has never been so strong.
00:15:44.000 NATO officials are both saddened at how Biden's fortunes have turned and frustrated the storyline has distracted from what was to be a celebratory summit.
00:15:51.000 They are also increasingly resigned to his defeat this November.
00:15:55.000 Now, the reality is that the Europeans, and I'm talking with a bunch of people who are at all the parties with European diplomats at this NATO summit, and what they are saying is that the Europeans behind closed doors, they're not all that worried about Trump.
00:16:05.000 They already had him as president.
00:16:06.000 They can work with Trump.
00:16:07.000 They know they can work with Trump.
00:16:08.000 All this sort of end of world, Europe is on fire nonsense.
00:16:12.000 It's not true.
00:16:13.000 And as it turns out, Joe Biden has been all horrible foreign policy president.
00:16:17.000 One senior European diplomat said, quote, everyone's focusing on Biden's appearance and less on Trump's statements about NATO.
00:16:24.000 That's true.
00:16:25.000 Again, it is not just people who are saying this behind closed doors.
00:16:30.000 Perhaps the most hilarious video of the day came courtesy of Georgia Maloney, who is the Prime Minister of Italy.
00:16:35.000 So Joe Biden showed up late to an event and Georgia Maloney started rolling her eyes and glancing at her fake watch that doesn't exist.
00:16:46.000 There she is.
00:16:46.000 She lands to get her watch, and she's annoyed that Biden isn't showing up.
00:16:49.000 And finally she, like, rolls her eyes.
00:16:51.000 Massive eye roll.
00:16:53.000 Crosses her eyes.
00:16:54.000 She's like, I can't believe this schmuck.
00:16:57.000 And again, not a rare occurrence, unfortunately, on the international scene these days.
00:17:03.000 We kept hearing about how Donald Trump was an embarrassment internationally.
00:17:07.000 I'm going to tell you a secret, guys.
00:17:09.000 The dead president, usually dead presidents appear on dollar bills, not still in the White House.
00:17:15.000 Meanwhile, Biden did an event with Keir Starmer, who is the newly elected Prime Minister of Great Britain.
00:17:20.000 And I got to say, I don't know what's going on with Joe Biden's face at this point.
00:17:23.000 it ain't good. What is he doing?
00:17:31.000 What is he doing?
00:17:32.000 What is this weird old man doing?
00:17:33.000 What is that weird old man face?
00:17:35.000 It's just terrible.
00:17:36.000 It looks like a parody of himself.
00:17:38.000 That, however, was all lead up to the worst moment of Biden in the NATO conference.
00:17:44.000 And that was his introduction to Vladimir Zelensky, the leader with whom he has been closely allied in the Ukraine versus Russia war.
00:17:53.000 This is about as big a screw-up on an international stage as I have seen.
00:17:58.000 It's really quite bad.
00:17:59.000 Here is Joe Biden yesterday.
00:18:02.000 And now I want to hand it over to the president of Ukraine, who has as much courage as he has determination.
00:18:09.000 Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin.
00:18:12.000 Number one claps.
00:18:14.000 And then he's like... We're gonna beat President Putin.
00:18:16.000 He's gonna defeat President Putin.
00:18:18.000 I'm so focused on beating Putin, we gotta worry about it.
00:18:21.000 Anyway.
00:18:22.000 Mr. President, I'm better.
00:18:23.000 You are a hell of a better.
00:18:26.000 Zelensky's like, I cannot believe this.
00:18:28.000 I cannot believe this.
00:18:29.000 I mean, that is the equivalent of during World War Two, Churchill visiting and FDR being like, I'd like to welcome to the podium Adolf Hitler.
00:18:39.000 What in the world?
00:18:41.000 What?
00:18:42.000 Huh?
00:18:43.000 Really?
00:18:45.000 So not a good look, okay?
00:18:46.000 And that was all leading up again to this big presser.
00:18:48.000 So, the presser was originally scheduled for 5.30 p.m.
00:18:52.000 Eastern Time.
00:18:53.000 Then we were told, a little bit earlier in the day, that it would be 6.30 p.m.
00:18:57.000 Eastern Time.
00:18:57.000 So we all tuned in at 6.30.
00:18:59.000 Then we were told it would be at 7.00 p.m.
00:19:01.000 Eastern Time.
00:19:02.000 And then finally, we were told it would be at 7.30 p.m.
00:19:05.000 Eastern Time.
00:19:07.000 When it finally went off, it was kind of close to 8, it was around 8, that the thing finally went off.
00:19:12.000 And Joe Biden didn't die.
00:19:15.000 But again, this is how low the standards are.
00:19:17.000 We're going to play a bunch of the audio of Joe Biden at this press conference, because this was the turn it around moment.
00:19:22.000 This is the moment when Joe's going to turn into smoking Joe.
00:19:25.000 He's going to come out gunning.
00:19:27.000 He's going to be strong and powerful.
00:19:30.000 And no, but again, the standard was death.
00:19:35.000 So, he comes out, and the first thing he does, he just starts babbling nonsensically.
00:19:39.000 I think it's like a couple of minutes in.
00:19:41.000 And he's talking, and he just starts garbling his speech.
00:19:45.000 I directed the intelligence community to a significant amount of intelligence to be declassified so I could start building an international coalition to oppose the invasion.
00:19:55.000 Then in February, some of you remember, I warned the world that the invasion was imminent.
00:20:01.000 I rallied a coalition of 50 nations from Europe to Asia to help Ukraine defend itself.
00:20:08.000 My foreign policy, many foreign policy experts thought as Putin amassed Russian forces just 100 miles north of Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, but he thought he, Putin thought it was the mother home of Russia.
00:20:23.000 Inspiring words from an inspiring leader.
00:20:26.000 By the way, that's him on teleprompter.
00:20:27.000 He started off with this little speech about Ukraine and foreign policy and the economy.
00:20:33.000 All of that was designed to sort of get him in his groove.
00:20:35.000 And now he was ready to take questions.
00:20:37.000 So, the first thing he mentions is that it will not in fact be like a normal press conference where he just calls on people randomly.
00:20:43.000 Nope!
00:20:44.000 He has a list of reporters he's gonna call on.
00:20:46.000 Presumably pre-screened by his team.
00:20:49.000 Now, we don't know whether they had submitted their questions in advance.
00:20:52.000 That's something we know that has happened in the past.
00:20:54.000 I would assume in this case, not.
00:20:56.000 I will say that the press corps is absolutely awful at their job.
00:20:59.000 None of them asked about, you know, no cabinet meetings for nine months.
00:21:02.000 None of them asked about the fact that Joe Biden's White House literally called to edit radio interviews this week.
00:21:09.000 None of them asked about the prognosis on whether he has any form of Parkinson's, for example.
00:21:16.000 None of them asked about why Hunter Biden, a convicted felon and longtime crack addict, is now in the inner circle and attending, like, cabinet meetings.
00:21:24.000 I mean, these would all be good questions.
00:21:25.000 The press didn't ask any of those.
00:21:27.000 Instead, they stayed well within the boundaries of civility, shall we say.
00:21:33.000 Well, the press are not doing a very responsible job, but you know what is responsible?
00:21:36.000 Responsible Man Vitamins.

00:22:35.000 I'll take your questions.
00:22:35.000 order of multivitamins for just $17.76. That's over 30% off plus an additional $10 savings.
00:22:40.000 The best price they've ever offered. That's responsibleman.com for their $17.76 sale.
00:22:45.000 So here was Joe Biden mentioning that he has a pre-selected list of reporters he was going to ask,
00:22:50.000 which is typically not the way you do a presser.
00:22:52.000 I'll take your questions. I've been given a list of people to call on here.
00:22:57.000 Why? Why? He says the quiet part out loud.
00:23:02.000 Why not just do it?
00:23:03.000 By the way, who gave him the list?
00:23:04.000 How was that list compiled?
00:23:05.000 Okay, even so, he still starts screwing things up.
00:23:09.000 So, trending on Twitter all last night was the term Vice President Trump.
00:23:13.000 I know what you're thinking.
00:23:14.000 Donald Trump has never been Vice President.
00:23:16.000 Right, you are!
00:23:17.000 But you're not the current President of the United States, who apparently doesn't know either that Trump is not the Vice President or that his current Vice President is a cringe-worthy human named Kamala Harris.
00:23:27.000 Joe Biden trying to talk about Kamala Harris and somehow talking about Trump.
00:23:32.000 I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president.
00:23:35.000 So I think she's not qualified to be president.
00:23:38.000 So yesterday we learned that Donald Trump is the vice president under Joe Biden.
00:23:44.000 Learning many things, we are, in this new magical era of Joe Biden's dementia.
00:23:50.000 We do have some pretty astonishing tape of the cabinet.
00:23:53.000 So, Tony Blinken, Lloyd Austin, the Secretary of Defense, they were all sitting there as this happened.
00:24:00.000 Here is an outtake of them reacting as he calls Vice President Harris, Vice President Trump.
00:24:07.000 I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be Vice President.
00:24:10.000 Look at Tony Blinken as he got smacked in the head.
00:24:12.000 Oh boy.
00:24:14.000 They'll start, like, gripping their jaws.
00:24:16.000 I can't believe this.
00:24:19.000 Not again.
00:24:20.000 Lloyd Austin looks like he's still in a coma from that time he was in the hospital.
00:24:25.000 Really strong stuff there from the cabinet.
00:24:28.000 It's just Veep.
00:24:28.000 Everything is Veep.
00:24:29.000 Okay, so Biden was asked about mixing up Zelensky and Putin, and his answer was not magical.
00:24:37.000 I wanted to ask you about your mixed-up presidents, Zelensky and Putin, earlier today.
00:24:47.000 You now have your key allies, including the British Prime Minister, the President of France, and the German Chancellor, having to step in and make excuses for you on that.
00:24:56.000 Officials here are saying off the record that your decline has become noticeable.
00:25:00.000 Hasn't this now, frankly, become damaging for America's standing in the world?
00:25:04.000 Thank you.
00:25:04.000 Did you see any damage to our standing in my leading this conference?
00:25:08.000 Have you seen a more successful conference?
00:25:10.000 Yes.
00:25:10.000 What do you think?
00:25:12.000 And the Putin piece, I was talking about Putin, and I said, and now, at the very end, I said, here, I mean, Putin, I said, no, I'm sorry, Zelensky.
00:25:23.000 Yeah, solid stuff there.
00:25:26.000 Solid stuff there from the President of the United States.
00:25:28.000 I like that he gets all mad.
00:25:30.000 Well, I mean, yes, if they were one-off, you just screwed them up one time, that wouldn't be a big deal, but you screw up all the time.
00:25:38.000 Like, it happens all the time.
00:25:41.000 That was the only tough question he really faced.
00:25:42.000 He was asked about having to go to bed earlier, because he literally told donors he would start going to bed earlier.
00:25:47.000 That's not true!
00:25:48.000 That's not true.
00:25:49.000 It's not even possible to go to bed earlier than 5 o'clock in the afternoon.
00:25:53.000 Presidency is the most straining job in the world, and it's 24-7.
00:25:57.000 How can you say you'll be up for that next year, in two years, in four years, given the limits you've acknowledged that you have today?
00:26:07.000 The limits I've acknowledged I have?
00:26:10.000 There's been reporting that you've acknowledged that you need to go to bed earlier and you're evening around 8.
00:26:14.000 That's not true.
00:26:17.000 Look, what I said was, Instead of my everyday starting at 7 and going to bed at midnight, it'd be smarter for me to pace myself a little more.
00:26:29.000 And I said, for example, the 8, 7, 6 stuff.
00:26:32.000 Instead of starting the fundraiser at 9 o'clock, start at 8 o'clock.
00:26:37.000 People get to go home by 10 o'clock.
00:26:39.000 That's what I'm talking about.
00:26:41.000 What?
00:26:42.000 That is not what you're talking about.
00:26:43.000 And by the way, when is the last time he did, like, anything of note beyond 9 p.m.
00:26:49.000 at night?
00:26:49.000 It's not a thing.
00:26:52.000 He was asked about lack of neurological tests.
00:26:55.000 Are you going to do one?
00:26:55.000 He's like, I'm not going to do a neurological test.
00:26:57.000 Everything is fine.
00:26:59.000 My favorite part is when he suggests that no one has even asked him for a neurological test.
00:27:02.000 You mean other than all of humanity?
00:27:05.000 Sure.
00:27:05.000 I mean, other than every other human on earth, I suppose that's true.
00:27:10.000 I've laid every bit of the record out.
00:27:12.000 Hadn't done, hadn't done a thing.
00:27:16.000 You ought to ask Trump for his, okay?
00:27:19.000 I laid it all out.
00:27:22.000 And every single day I'm surrounded by good docs.
00:27:25.000 If they think there's a problem, I promise you, or even if they don't think it's a problem, they think I should have a neurological exam again, I'll do it.
00:27:34.000 No one's suggesting that to me now.
00:27:36.000 I'm tested every single day about my neurological capacity, the decisions I make every day.
00:27:42.000 You talk to my staff, all of you talk to my staff.
00:27:45.000 Sometimes my staff talks a lot.
00:27:49.000 And what they say a lot is that you probably should have a neurological exam.
00:27:53.000 Well, Joe Biden, he doesn't want any neurological tests.
00:27:56.000 He doesn't want tests of any kind.
00:27:57.000 But you know who's going to test you?
00:27:58.000 The IRS.
00:27:59.000 Because if you haven't paid back taxes, if you got those unfiled returns, the IRS will come after you.
00:28:04.000 And they don't care how many times you say you don't need a test, they'll still come after you.
00:28:08.000 The IRS is escalating collections by adding 20,000 new agents and sending millions of demand letters.
00:28:13.000 Handling this alone can be a large mistake and cost you thousands of dollars.
00:28:16.000 In these challenging times, your best offense is Tax Network USA.

00:28:54.000 He did have a few malfunctions during this presser.
00:28:55.000 Again, this is the best of Biden.

00:29:14.000 He did have a few malfunctions during this presser.
00:29:16.000 Again, this is the best of Biden.
00:29:19.000 Understand this is as good as it's going to get for him.
00:29:21.000 So whatever shortcomings you are sensing from this presser, this is like him at his tip
00:29:26.000 top A plus apex game.
00:29:28.000 Here he was having a slow malfunction.
00:29:32.000 And I think you'll see that some of our European friends are going to be curtailing their
00:29:44.000 Bye.
00:29:45.000 I want, like, a sentence diagram on that one.
00:29:47.000 I mean, excuse me, in China, as long as China continues to have this indirect help to Russia
00:29:58.000 in terms of being able to help their economy as well as help them in as a consequence of
00:30:05.000 their ability to fight in Ukraine.
00:30:08.000 I want like a sentence diagram on that one.
00:30:13.000 Can anyone follow that?
00:30:16.000 That is a ball of yarn, that particular sentence.
00:30:19.000 Joe Biden did admit that he's doing things that lead to him catching hell from his wife, and that I would not doubt one moment, that he catches hell from his wife, Dr. Jill, the greatest doctor in all the land on a fairly regular basis.
00:30:34.000 I love my staff.
00:30:35.000 But they add things.
00:30:37.000 Add things all the time.
00:30:39.000 Very add.
00:30:40.000 I'm catching hell from my wife.
00:30:42.000 What about your guy?
00:30:43.000 Anyway.
00:30:44.000 Anyway?
00:30:45.000 There was a lot of anywaying.
00:30:46.000 A lot of anywaying.
00:30:48.000 He also admitted at one point that he's following the advice of his commander-in-chief.
00:30:51.000 What he meant here was the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
00:30:54.000 But apparently someone else is president, which is probably true.
00:30:57.000 And it's probably the same lady he's catching hell from.
00:31:00.000 I'm following the advice of my commander in chief, my chief of staff of the military,
00:31:08.000 as well as the secretary of defense and our intelligence people.
00:31:11.000 Well, in the end, it doesn't really matter because he says he's not going to go.
00:31:16.000 He says he's not going to go.
00:31:17.000 He says, theoretically, you could be at the convention and people could decide they don't want to vote for me, even though they're my delegates, but it's not going to happen.
00:31:24.000 And what Joe Biden presser would be complete without some creepy whispering?
00:31:30.000 If I may, your convention is coming up where your delegates are pledged to make you the official nominee.
00:31:35.000 If they have second thoughts, are they free to vote their conscience?
00:31:39.000 Obviously, they're free to do whatever they want, but I get overwhelming support.
00:31:44.000 Overwhelming support.
00:31:47.000 I forget how many votes I won in the primary.
00:31:51.000 Overwhelming.
00:31:52.000 And so tomorrow, if all of a sudden I show up at the convention, everybody says, we want somebody else, that's a democratic process.
00:32:04.000 Would you like a little bit more creepy whispering?
00:32:06.000 Because I have more for you.
00:32:07.000 If that's the sort of thing you enjoy.
00:32:09.000 And it doesn't give you nightmares.
00:32:12.000 Here he is explaining that literally no one thinks that he can't win.
00:32:17.000 No one.
00:32:18.000 Except for all the Democrats coming out and saying he shouldn't run.
00:32:22.000 You earlier explained confidence in your vice president.
00:32:25.000 Yes.
00:32:26.000 If your team came back and showed you data that she would fare better against former President Donald Trump, would you reconsider your decision to stay in the race?
00:32:36.000 No, unless they came back and said, there's no way you can win.
00:32:42.000 Me.
00:32:42.000 No one's saying that.
00:32:45.000 No poll says that.
00:32:49.000 This ends tonight's press conference.
00:32:53.000 Thanks, everybody.
00:32:55.000 Weird smile.
00:32:57.000 Weird smile.
00:32:58.000 He is a creepy elderly fellow.
00:33:01.000 No one say.
00:33:05.000 How'd you like that coming at you at three in the morning?
00:33:07.000 Well, good news.
00:33:08.000 It won't happen because he's asleep by 8 p.m.
00:33:11.000 He did say that the polling data are premature.
00:33:13.000 So he was asked about the fact that he's losing in all the polls.
00:33:14.000 So then he mischaracterized all the polling data and said that they're premature.
00:33:18.000 He, in fact, said the race had not even begun yet, which is weird since you already had a debate, my bud.
00:33:24.000 How accurate does anybody think the polls are these days?
00:33:27.000 Pretty accurate.
00:33:28.000 I can give you a series of polls where you have likely voters, me versus Trump, where I win all the time.
00:33:34.000 Nope.
00:33:35.000 You cannot.
00:33:36.000 Unlikely voters who vote, he wins sometimes.
00:33:39.000 The bottom line is all the polling data right now, which I think is premature because the campaign really hasn't even started.
00:33:45.000 It started a little.
00:33:47.000 I mean, by a little, I mean, it's like we're pretty deep into it at this point.
00:33:51.000 And we've done some whispering, but we would not be complete without some yelling, right?
00:33:54.000 You got to get the full gamut of the Joe Biden experience.
00:33:57.000 Again, this was his best press conference.
00:33:58.000 This was him at like his finest, as we will learn from a celebratory media.
00:34:02.000 Here he was just randomly yelling about gun control.
00:34:04.000 This is one of my favorite things is when he ratchets up the passionometer to like 11.
00:34:08.000 He's got nothing in the tank.
00:34:09.000 He's like, just ratcheting that thing.
00:34:13.000 Here we go.
00:34:15.000 We're sitting around.
00:34:16.000 That's where Kamala's so good as well.
00:34:18.000 We're sitting around.
00:34:19.000 More children are killed by a bullet than any other cause of death.
00:34:27.000 The United States of America.
00:34:29.000 What the hell are we doing?
00:34:31.000 What are we doing?
00:34:35.000 What are you doing?
00:34:37.000 What are we doing?
00:34:37.000 What are you doing?
00:34:38.000 Why are you yelling at people?
00:34:40.000 What the hell is happening?
00:34:41.000 This thing did conclude with somebody asking him, you know, Donald Trump is like contemporaneous, like right now, this minute, mocking you for mixing up Zelensky and Putin and calling him the Vice President of the United States.
00:34:55.000 How do you respond?
00:34:56.000 And Joe Biden gave a cryptically weird answer.
00:34:58.000 Respectfully, earlier you misspoke in your opening answer.
00:35:03.000 to Vice President Harris as Vice President Trump.
00:35:07.000 Right now Donald Trump is using that to mock your age and your memory.
00:35:12.000 How do you combat that criticism from tonight?
00:35:16.000 Listen to him.
00:35:18.000 This concludes tonight's press conference.
00:35:19.000 Thank you, everybody.
00:35:20.000 Thanks, everyone.
00:35:23.000 I think what he meant, I think what he was trying to say there was that somehow Donald Trump is more incoherent than he is.
00:35:31.000 But the way it came out is that he wants you to listen to Donald Trump mocking him.
00:35:36.000 Things are going great.
00:35:38.000 Things are going great.
00:35:39.000 But you know what?
00:35:40.000 Here's the thing.
00:35:40.000 For Biden, they are going great in the sense that He did just enough to ensure that he gets over the next hump, the next 24-hour period.
00:35:48.000 We'll get to more on this in a moment, because the fallout is delicious.
00:35:51.000 First, it has been a whirlwind week here at the Ben Shapiro Show, so let me catch you up.
00:35:55.000 Monday was the premiere of my new three-part series, Scamala Kamala Harris Unmasked.
00:35:59.000 This exposé uncovers the truth about Harris, from her calculated California climb toward disastrous vice presidency.
00:36:04.000 It's available for you to watch for free on DailyWire+.
00:36:07.000 Then, on Wednesday, I testified before Congress about a report confirming what we've known all along.
00:36:12.000 A global cartel is threatening to control what you see and hear in the media.
00:36:16.000 It sounds like a conspiracy theory, except they say it pretty much right out there in the open.
00:36:19.000 The evidence shows The Daily Wire, Joe Rogan, Fox News, and others are being targeted for not towing the left-wing line.
00:36:25.000 All of this is yet another reminder that at The Daily Wire, we don't just complain about problems we see, we act to try to fix them, but we can only keep fighting with your support.
00:36:33.000 Not a Daily Wire Plus member yet?
00:36:34.000 Well, Please, please help us out.
00:36:36.000 Go to dailywire.com, use code fight for 25% off your membership.
00:36:39.000 Let's fight the left and build the future.
00:36:41.000 Also, this Sunday, we release a brand new episode of the Sunday special with Mike Rowe.
00:36:45.000 You probably know him as the dirtiest man on TV from the Emmy award winning TV series Dirty Jobs.
00:36:50.000 We discuss what it means to be a patriot, why we should appreciate American exceptionalism.
00:36:53.000 We also explore the implications of AI on white collar workers and forgotten institutions of community in Americans lives.
00:36:59.000 Here's a bit of the trailer.
00:37:01.000 The math goes like this.
00:37:02.000 Every year, five skilled tradespeople retire.
00:37:05.000 For every five who retire, two replace them.
00:37:08.000 So, we're seeing an incredible lack of interest and enthusiasm around these skilled trades.
00:37:16.000 I guess my answer is, it's true.
00:37:18.000 Inflation, super bad.
00:37:20.000 The cost of college, an enormous problem.
00:37:24.000 The entrepreneur who took the time to master a skill that's in demand is crushing it in this economy.
00:37:30.000 and nobody's talking about them.
00:37:33.000 Don't miss this awesome episode of the Sunday special with Mike Rowe.
00:37:42.000 Okay.
00:37:42.000 Meanwhile, so the fallout, the fallout.
00:37:45.000 So the fallout is the Democrats don't know what to do, which is like the best case scenario for Trump.
00:37:49.000 Because on the one hand, you have reports from CBS news that dozens of Democrats in the house are preparing to come out and blast Biden and say he needs to stop.
00:37:58.000 On the other hand, you have members of the media saying that Joe Biden is just as amazing as he ever was.
00:38:04.000 He's just insanely good.
00:38:06.000 Just incredible.
00:38:07.000 The Washington post.
00:38:09.000 Their headline today, top of their website, quote, Biden shows foreign policy depth in news conference with a few stumbles.
00:38:16.000 If by foreign policy depth, you mean that he clowned himself.
00:38:19.000 I mean, his takes on Israel in this particular news conference were so delusional, they're beyond the pale of his normal levels of delusion.
00:38:26.000 He was asked if he would have done anything differently in the conflict, and then he talked about how he had done the right thing by depriving Israel of weaponry in the middle of the war, didn't mention one thing about hostages, and then pretended that Hamas was not popular in the West Bank.
00:38:37.000 Like, he's just wrong on everything foreign policy related is possible to be wrong about.
00:38:43.000 But again, the point is the media reaction.
00:38:45.000 So you got the Washington Post backing him up.
00:38:47.000 He's doing amazing.
00:38:49.000 Meanwhile, the Democratic National Committee chair, Jamie Harrison, he says, you know, this whole Zelensky, Putin, Vice President Trump thing, it's all just nitpicking.
00:38:57.000 Is it really a big deal?
00:39:00.000 Not on whether or not Joe Biden stumbles over things or has a stutter.
00:39:04.000 I mean, hell, sometimes I can't even remember my kids' names because I'm so tired, right?
00:39:09.000 So we've got to stop the nitpicking and focus on the work ahead.
00:39:16.000 This guy's done it, he's done it in the past.
00:39:18.000 I get you.
00:39:19.000 But Democrats are still split.
00:39:20.000 They're not really sure what to do.
00:39:22.000 Rachel Maddow says Joe Biden is a master of foreign policy.
00:39:25.000 Just a master.
00:39:26.000 I mean, just a magician, a wizard of foreign policy.
00:39:30.000 But he presents it badly, says Rachel Maddow.
00:39:34.000 He is a master of the foreign policy field and has been for decades in his career in the Senate, the Vice President, and the presidency.
00:39:42.000 And yet he undercuts his own presentation of those facts simply in the way that he presents them, with his self-interrupting and elliptical style, the very soft-spoken monotone that he sometimes uses.
00:39:56.000 There's a big mismatch between his stylistic presentation and his truly masterful command of the subject.
00:40:03.000 Masterful command.
00:40:03.000 On the subject that was the main focus of this presser, which was foreign policy.
00:40:08.000 Okay, then Maddow went into the fact that he had said that there's no way that he's losing, and she's like, well, maybe he doesn't have the relevant data.
00:40:17.000 I think that what Nicole points out about the reality about polling numbers for incumbent presidents and the real history of that versus what President Biden said, which was not actually factually accurate as far as I can tell, that's worrying because it makes me worry that the president is being given information about his political standing that may not be based in reality, that may be sunnier than is real.
00:40:42.000 But on the other hand, Joy Reid is very much in his camp.
00:40:45.000 She says, no, no, no.
00:40:46.000 He was awesome.
00:40:47.000 He was just normal old Joe.
00:40:51.000 The guy that we just saw for the last hour is definitely not someone who is considering leaving the race.
00:40:58.000 He cited the polls showing that there's no data that he's seen that says that he can't win.
00:41:03.000 He was very praiseworthy of Kamala Harris, of Vice President Harris, as he should be, and said some really warm and good things about her.
00:41:11.000 But he also said Even though that he believes that she is clearly qualified to be president and that's why he chose her, even if someone showed him data that showed that she did better than him, unless he sees data that he can't win, this doesn't sound like a man that's thinking about getting out.
00:41:27.000 Okay, so, again, the divide in the Democratic Party is being exacerbated.
00:41:30.000 And as Politico reports, there are still Democrats who are going to call for him to get out.
00:41:34.000 In fact, just after the press conference wrapped up, there were more Democratic lawmakers who called for Biden to step aside.
00:41:40.000 Representative Scott Peters of California put out a statement saying, quote, Today, I ask President Biden to withdraw from the presidential campaign.
00:41:46.000 The stakes are high and we are on a losing course.
00:41:48.000 Just minutes earlier, the top Democrat on the Intelligence Committee, Representative Jim Himes of Connecticut, called on Biden to step aside in a post on X.
00:41:55.000 Purple District Representative Eric Sorensen of Illinois wrote on Next, I am hopeful President Biden will step aside in his campaign for president.
00:42:04.000 One House Democrat watching the appearance responded to the flub of Vice President Trump.
00:42:08.000 He said, unreal, but it's an obviously much better second half.
00:42:11.000 Another Democrat texted about the Trump moment, ouch.
00:42:14.000 Overall, he sounded coherent, but calling Zelensky, President Putin, and Harris VP Trump overshadows the rest of his time, that lawmaker added.
00:42:21.000 Still, it wasn't as bad as some Democrats feared.
00:42:24.000 Biden flexed his foreign policy chops, including his role on expanding NATO, and defended his record of legislative accomplishments.
00:42:29.000 Holy bleep, he's on fire, texted one aide as Biden lit into Trump's record.
00:42:34.000 Asked about his ability to do the job, the president said there's no indication he's slowing down.
00:42:37.000 He said, I want to finish it.
00:42:39.000 Looks and sounds 100% better than he did at the last debate, one House Democrat said in a text, adding Biden was almost as good as his last State of the Union appearance.
00:42:46.000 Talked too long, but if this had been the debate, none of the last two weeks would have happened.
00:42:51.000 Oh, good.
00:42:52.000 Honestly, good.
00:42:53.000 As I have said before, we do a prayer at our synagogue every week for the health of the President of the United States.
00:43:00.000 And never has that prayer been more ardently said than today, when Joe Biden is busy losing his reelect to Donald Trump.
00:43:07.000 And if he dropped out of the race, it would be a significantly different race.
00:43:10.000 So, I hope that he should live, he should be healthy, and he should just be just solid enough, like, just solid enough that Democrats can't get rid of him.
00:43:19.000 Meanwhile, Democrats are hedging their bets.
00:43:21.000 They're thinking about Kamala Harris.
00:43:23.000 Apparently, the Biden administration has been poll-testing Kamala Harris, which is weird.
00:43:30.000 Like, if they're not interested in getting rid of Biden, then why exactly are they spending their time poll-testing Kamala Harris?
00:43:35.000 But apparently they are.
00:43:37.000 The problem, of course, is that Kamala Harris is really, really bad at this.
00:43:41.000 So she was on the campaign trail.
00:43:42.000 She was talking about how Joe is a fighter, which, I mean, dude can't punch his way out of a paper bag at this point, but sure.
00:43:50.000 One thing we know about our president, Joe Biden, is that he is a fighter.
00:43:57.000 He is a fighter.
00:44:01.000 And he is the first to say, when you get knocked down, you get back up.
00:44:07.000 You get back up.
00:44:12.000 So we will continue to fight.
00:44:14.000 And we will continue to organize.
00:44:16.000 And in November, we will win.
00:44:19.000 Okay, but there's one problem.
00:44:21.000 Kamala Harris is utterly charmless.
00:44:23.000 And she, I don't know what it is, she has this weird verbal tick where she talks about exploring possibilities unburdened by what has been.
00:44:31.000 She just does it over and over and over.
00:44:34.000 She sounds like Kylo Ren from The Last Jedi.
00:44:36.000 She's like, well if we get rid of all the old people then we'll be unburdened by the past and we can explore the future together.
00:44:42.000 That's like the bad guy message.
00:44:44.000 That's the bad guy message in The Last Jedi.
00:44:46.000 Terrible movie.
00:44:48.000 They taught us that we could do anything.
00:44:49.000 in it. Here she was doing the routine again with the full facial expressions, with the
00:44:53.000 hands, the whole thing. Oh, yeah. Yeah. They taught us that we could do anything, anything
00:44:59.000 and should never be burdened, never burdened by the limitations of other people to be able
00:45:05.000 or not be able to see what can be. And this is that community understands and can see
00:45:15.000 what is possible, unburdened by what has been.
00:45:18.000 Unburdened by what has been.
00:45:20.000 We want to go into the future, which is where, that's where we go forward into the future, not backward into the past, like with the time machine.
00:45:30.000 Unburdened by what has been.
00:45:34.000 Ooh, that's a delight.
00:45:37.000 Honestly, best presidential insurance Joe Biden ever had was making that lady vice president.
00:45:40.000 Jen Psaki trying to make fetch happen.
00:45:45.000 Here she is now trying to talk herself into the idea that Kamala Harris won't be a terrible candidate if Joe Biden has to drop.
00:45:51.000 Kamala Harris, the vice president, I'm gonna call her vice president now because I keep calling her.
00:45:55.000 She is like, in my view, An undervalued talent.
00:46:00.000 She's a very fierce communicator.
00:46:02.000 She's very strong, especially on one of the core issues that made the election maybe won or lost something, which is abortion rights.
00:46:09.000 You know, and this is why I think what she did out and did a couple of interviews after the debate, people were, I was sitting on the set with a bunch of other MSNBC anchors and we were like, everybody was like, that was great.
00:46:19.000 It's like, yeah, that's what she's doing out in the country and nobody is really tracking it.
00:46:25.000 It's just, That's who she is, but there is a character out there.
00:46:31.000 It's almost like public opinion hasn't caught up with what she is doing out there.
00:46:35.000 And also, we live in a country that is sexist and racist.
00:46:38.000 So there is that.
00:46:39.000 Not everybody at all, but there is a level of it that does impact elections.
00:46:46.000 It's the sexism and the racism.
00:46:47.000 That's the reason no one likes her.
00:46:49.000 Not that she's utterly charmless and horrifying at her job.
00:46:51.000 Really, keep going with this, guys.
00:46:52.000 You're doing just great.
00:46:54.000 You're just doing awesome.
00:46:56.000 Okay, well, there is one sort of last hope for Joe Biden, and that is maybe Jerome Powell will save him.
00:47:02.000 So, according to the Wall Street Journal, U.S.
00:47:03.000 inflation eased substantially in June, extending a recent slowdown in price increases that clears a path for the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates by the end of the summer.
00:47:11.000 Why, just in time for the election!
00:47:13.000 Almost as if it's on cue.
00:47:15.000 The Consumer Price Index, a measure of goods and services costs across the economy, fell slightly from May, dropping the year-over-year inflation rate to 3%, which was the lowest since June 2023.
00:47:24.000 Now, again, you'll notice that the year-over-year inflation rate is supposed to be 2%, so it is still 50% too high.
00:47:31.000 Nonetheless, they're now talking, once again, about cutting rates.
00:47:35.000 Core prices, excluding volatile food and energy items, seen as a better gauge of underlying inflation, rose 0.1% since May.
00:47:41.000 That was the mildest increase since January 2021, when you-know-who took office.
00:47:45.000 Altogether, the report showed prices cooled broadly in the second quarter and were below economists' expectations, the reverse of what happened in the first three months of the year when inflation was surprisingly brisk.
00:47:54.000 The report keeps the door wide open to a September interest rate cut.
00:47:58.000 No, you shock me.
00:47:59.000 You shock me.
00:48:00.000 You mean Jerome Powell might cut rates just in time for Joe Biden's end of run?
00:48:04.000 No.
00:48:06.000 Investors don't expect the Fed to lower interest rates in July, but they are looking at a September cut.
00:48:12.000 Hmm.
00:48:14.000 I can't believe it.
00:48:14.000 Why it's so convenient.
00:48:16.000 It's just so convenient.
00:48:17.000 I mean, nevermind the fact that again, the inflation is still running 50% too high.
00:48:20.000 We got to cut those interest rates just in time for the election and hopefully jog Joe Biden to victory.
00:48:26.000 But don't worry.
00:48:27.000 It's all apolitical.
00:48:29.000 Meanwhile, while Joe Biden continues to tout the magic of NATO, the actual increasingly awesome strength of NATO, NATO still is not providing Ukraine the actual necessary resources for a counteroffensive this year.
00:48:42.000 According to the New York Times, despite billions of dollars in additional weapons and security assistance NATO announced this week, Allied officials said Ukraine would not be ready to launch a dramatic counteroffensive or retake large swathes of territory from Russia until next year.
00:48:54.000 So, good news.
00:48:55.000 I'm so glad that Joe Biden slow-walked all of this stuff.
00:48:56.000 and air defenses from the United States and European countries will take weeks,
00:48:59.000 if not months to reach the front lines.
00:49:01.000 Some of the newly committed weapons have not yet been bought or built.
00:49:05.000 So good news, I'm so glad that Joe Biden slow walked all of this stuff.
00:49:10.000 I mean, he slow walked it to Israel also.
00:49:12.000 And I don't know what this administration has against our allies actually winning
00:49:17.000 or being provided the weaponry necessary to cut the best possible deal with Russia per se,
00:49:21.000 but they're doing it now, belatedly, as always.
00:49:25.000 I'm Apparently, several allies have promised new assistance, but it was not clear when any of the material would be delivered.
00:49:34.000 Ukraine's military is already using drones produced by its defense industry to strike targets inside of Russia, but there are not enough of them.
00:49:42.000 So hopefully the NATO summit will end with more of a commitment to provide the kind of military pressure necessary to reach an off-ramp with regard to Russia.
00:49:51.000 Joe Biden's slow walking of the aid certainly did not help here.
00:49:54.000 All righty, coming up, we're going to jump into the vaunted Ben Shapiro show mailbag.

00:50:03.000 Do you know what big tech and big government have in common?
00:50:28.000 They both like silencing dissenting voices.
00:50:31.000 It's one of their things.
00:50:32.000 Let's say that you're a proud gun owner and you want to talk on social media about the right to bear arms.
00:50:35.000 Well, good shot, your post will be flagged by a content moderator.
00:50:38.000 You might end up on some kind of government watch list.
00:50:40.000 To fight back against having your voice censored by both Big Tech and Big Government, I recommend ExpressVPN.
00:50:45.000 Big Tech tracks everything you do online.
