Summary

When it comes to the protests roiling America s campuses, and roiling the political class, it's time for Americans to pick a side. There are only two sides to this particular argument: one that despises America and despises the West, and one that really likes America and likes the West. And that binary decision is really not particularly tough, and you can see it happening on college campuses all over America. So I want to show you two clips right now and you get to pick which side you think the American President ought to stand on. And which side do you, the American people, ought to be on? Here are the clips: 1. UCLA protest spokesperson: "The University of California is founded on colonialism and is a violent institution. It's more than divestment as well." 2. The new uniform of the Non-Proletariat, the bourgeois revolution, the upper class to upper middle class, young people who are incredibly privileged and are going to pose as somehow victims of Western society 3. The Black Lives Matter movement was founded originally around the death of Michael Brown, who tried to shoot a police officer before he was killed by the police. 4. When they say that what's happening in Gaza is connected to this, what they really mean is that the United States is bad. 5. They believe that the American system, the Western system, is designed for their own benefit. 6. That they believe that they are the victims of American society, or at least they are standing in solidarity with American society. 7. The complaint is not about Israel. 8. They have been offered everything and have made their own own bed. 9. They're not their own bed, they're not going to take nothing. 10. They don't have any skin in the game. 11. They are not a victim of the game, they are not in fact a victim. 12. The problem is that they have designed the system, they've taken everything and taken nothing, they just take it all. 13. They've taken nothing and are not to take anything. 15. They ve got nothing, so they don't take it. 16. They re not a deal. 17. The only deal they have is a deal they've got is to take all they can get, they ve got it all, and they don t have to take it, they can't take anything, they have it all

00:00:00.000 When it comes to the college protesters roiling America's campuses, and roiling America more generally, it's time for Americans, and particularly their political class, to pick a side.
00:00:10.000 There are only two sides to this particular argument.
00:00:13.000 There's one side that despises America and despises the West, and there's one side that really likes America and likes the West.
00:00:20.000 And that binary decision is really not particularly tough, and you can see it happening on college campuses all over America.
00:00:28.000 So I want to show you two clips right now, and you get to pick which side you think the American president ought to stand on.
00:00:35.000 And which side do you think the American people ought to stand on?
00:00:39.000 So here is the first clip.
00:00:40.000 The first clip is a UCLA protest spokesperson.
00:00:44.000 UCLA is experiencing massive protests.
00:00:47.000 They've occupied the center of campus, all the places where I used to walk to class.
00:00:50.000 My wife used to walk to class.
00:00:51.000 They've now occupied those.
00:00:53.000 They're all wearing masks to hide their faces because they're not getting COVID outside.
00:00:57.000 But this is the new uniform of the Non-proletariat, the bourgeois revolution, the upper class to upper middle class, young people who are incredibly privileged and are going to pose as somehow victims of Western society.
00:01:12.000 The uniform is keffiyeh and COVID mask, which pretty much says it all.
00:01:18.000 Here was the UCLA protest spokesperson explaining that the University of California is founded on colonialism and is a violent institution.
00:01:30.000 It's more than divestment as well.
00:01:32.000 I think given the fact that the University of California is founded on colonialism, it's inherently a violent institution.
00:01:43.000 There needs to be an addressment of U.S.
00:01:46.000 imperialism and its ties to the U.C.
00:01:49.000 system and how it perpetuates war and violence abroad.
00:01:53.000 Not only abroad, but also here, locally.
00:01:57.000 Hey, understand what they are saying here.
00:01:59.000 What they are saying here, the case they are making, is that the United States is bad.
00:02:03.000 When they say that the University of California is founded on colonialism, what they really mean is that the United States is founded on colonialism, and imperialism, and exploitation, and rape of the native peoples, and all the rest of this garbage.
00:02:15.000 That's what they mean.
00:02:16.000 They mean the United States is bad.
00:02:17.000 When they say that what's happening in Gaza is connected to this, What they really mean is just there is a coalition of people who are pseudo-oppressed, who are losers in life, who have now decided that the American system, the Western system, meritocracy, are bad.
00:02:30.000 Anybody who is successful in the system has designed the system for their own benefit.
00:02:34.000 This is the intersectional conspiracy theory taken to the nth degree.
00:02:38.000 And what it really means is people who are the most privileged people in human history sitting on a beautiful campus at the University of California, the most beautiful time of year, Outdoors, enjoying their lives on the public dime because tuition is subsidized at UCLA by the state.
00:02:53.000 It is a state school that taxpayers are paying for.
00:02:56.000 And now Joe Biden wants to relieve the rest of these people's student loans.
00:02:58.000 That these people believe that they are the victims of American society, or at least they are standing in solidarity with the victims of American society.
00:03:06.000 The complaint is not about Israel.
00:03:08.000 You didn't even hear the word Israel once in that statement.
00:03:10.000 The complaint is about the United States.
00:03:11.000 So that's one side.
00:03:12.000 They hate America.
00:03:13.000 They burn the flag.
00:03:14.000 They take it down.
00:03:15.000 They put up the Palestinian flag because the Palestinian flag has become the rallying point and tip of the spear in favor of this perverse view of the universe.
00:03:24.000 As I've said before, the reason that this has happened is because movements, revolutionary movements, need to show skin in the game.
00:03:31.000 The way that they show skin in the game is they pick literally the worst victims, the people who are least sympathetic, and declare that they have sympathy for those people.
00:03:39.000 That those people are actually victims.
00:03:42.000 It is why the Black Lives Matter movement was founded originally around the death of Michael Brown, who tried to shoot a police officer before he was killed by a police officer.
00:03:51.000 Because if you could declare your fealty to a false narrative about Michael Brown, suggesting that he died at the hands of American white supremacy, well then, you could sell those people anything.
00:04:00.000 And the same thing is true with regard to the Palestinian cause.
00:04:03.000 The Palestinians are a perfect example of a group of people who have elected terrorists, who are sympathetic to terrorists, who support terrorism, who hate Jews, who hate America, and who have made their own bed.
00:04:15.000 They've been offered everything and they've taken nothing.
00:04:18.000 They've decided they're not going to take any deal.
00:04:20.000 Over and over and over and over.
00:04:21.000 Every dollar that has gone into Gaza has been used to build up a terror epicenter.
00:04:27.000 And these people declare solidarity because again, if you can declare solidarity with people who are obviously not victims and declare that they are in fact the victims of Western imperialism, well then you can declare about virtually anything.
00:04:37.000 That is why the Kafia and the Palestinian flag are a substitute for the American flag.
00:04:42.000 That film that we saw from earlier this week over at City University of New York, where people took down the American flag and put up the Palestinian flag?
00:04:49.000 There's a reason why Queers for Palestine is a thing.
00:04:52.000 Why you're seeing combined Palestinian and Pride Progress flags, despite the fact that these are mutually exclusive in practice.
00:04:59.000 That's side A. And you can pick side A.
00:05:02.000 But I can tell you those people don't love America.
00:05:04.000 And then there is side B. And that is the protesters at the University of Mississippi, the frat boys who showed up to sing the Star Spangled Banner at all of these people who hate the United States.
00:05:15.000 Here is a clip of that.
00:05:17.000 They proved through the night that our flag was still there.
00:05:25.000 Oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
00:05:45.000 Okay, so those are your choices.
00:05:50.000 You can side with the frat boys at UNC who actually tried to prevent the American flag from being brought down.
00:05:56.000 You can side with people like my friend Ami Horowitz, who went to a protest at City University of New York with the American flag and got beat up for the privilege.
00:06:04.000 You can side with the statue of George Washington or with the people who defaced the statue of George Washington.
00:06:09.000 But you do, in fact, have to pick a side.
00:06:12.000 And if you pick the side that hates America, you should be held accountable, politically and otherwise, for it.
00:06:17.000 It turns out that you should, in fact, love this country.
00:06:20.000 It is an amazing country.
00:06:21.000 It is the greatest country in the history of mankind.
00:06:24.000 And if you don't, Then there should, in fact, be some public opprobrium for you.
00:06:31.000 Doesn't mean you don't have a right to say these things.
00:06:32.000 You do have the absolute right to say whatever dumbass thing you want to say.
00:06:35.000 It's the United States of America.
00:06:38.000 That does not mean that people have to look at you as though you are anything but a moral idiot.
00:06:44.000 And these people are moral idiots.
00:06:46.000 So let's talk a little bit about the coalition of moral idiots.
00:06:49.000 Who is behind them?
00:06:50.000 What exactly they are calling for?
00:06:52.000 We'll get to more on this in just one moment.
00:06:53.000 First, using the internet without ExpressVPN, it's like having a first aid kit but not keeping it stocked.
00:06:57.000 Most of the time, it's probably fine, but what's the point of the thing?
00:06:59.000 You get in a horrible accident, you look in there, it's empty.
00:07:02.000 That would be stupid.
00:07:03.000 Every time you connect to an unencrypted network in cafes, hotels, or airports, you're essentially leaving your personal data wide open for any hacker on the same network to access.
00:07:11.000 Don't wait for a security breach to happen.
00:07:12.000 Protect yourself with ExpressVPN.
00:07:14.000 Your data isn't just data, it's valuable information that hackers can make up to $1,000 per person selling on the dark web.
00:07:20.000 That's why you need to protect it with ExpressVPN.
00:07:22.000 I love that ExpressVPN creates a secure encrypted tunnel between my device and the internet, so hackers can't steal my sensitive data.
00:07:27.000 It would take a hacker with a supercomputer over a billion years to get past ExpressVPN's encryption.
00:07:32.000 ExpressVPN is extremely easy to use.
00:07:34.000 You just fire up that app, you click one button, you get a protected plus.
00:07:36.000 It works on all your devices, including phones, laptops, tablets, and more, so you can stay secure on the go.
00:07:41.000 Secure your online data today by visiting ExpressVPN.com slash Ben.
00:07:46.000 That's E-X-P-R-E-S-S-V-P-N.com slash Ben.
00:07:49.000 You can get an extra three months for free.
00:07:51.000 ExpressVPN.com slash Ben.
00:07:52.000 That's ExpressVPN.com slash Ben.
00:07:55.000 So, over at UCLA.
00:07:56.000 Again, many of these protesters don't even know what they're talking about.
00:07:59.000 And the vast majority of protesters who are talking about Gaza and Israel have no idea where Israel is on a map, have no idea where Gaza is on a map, have no idea what the river is or what the sea is or anything like this.
00:08:08.000 But here's one of the Moron UCLA protest leaders talking about globalizing the Intifada.
00:08:12.000 Again, the Intifada means, it literally means a violent uprising, including mass murder of Jews.
00:08:19.000 That is what Intifada is.
00:08:20.000 These people want to globalize the Intifada.
00:08:23.000 Because what they believe is that the privileged classes, meaning predominantly white Christian males, but also including Jews, also including successful Asians, that those people are in fact the victimizers and they must be brought low by everything up to and including violent intifada.
00:08:39.000 Here we go.
00:08:41.000 Long live Palestine!
00:08:46.000 Long live intifada!
00:08:49.000 Intifada, intifada!
00:08:54.000 Now, you can say this is all virtue signaling nonsense and these are a bunch of idiots.
00:08:57.000 And that's true, they are a bunch of idiots.
00:08:58.000 In fact, how stupid are many of these people?
00:09:00.000 Again, these are highly educated morons.
00:09:04.000 There's a reason a lot of these universities did away with the SATs.
00:09:06.000 I promise you, a lot of these protesters didn't do amazing on the SATs.
00:09:10.000 Let me just give you a piece of taped example of how stupid these protesters are.
00:09:13.000 Here are some of these protesters in an American college campus trying to charge the cops using pieces of cut out plastic garbage cans.
00:09:20.000 It doesn't go amazing for them.
00:09:23.000 Seriously, they were looking at police officers, particularly black police officers, and accusing them of being the KKK.
00:09:31.000 Because they didn't want to be taken away, and I guess they were trying to flip the switch.
00:09:35.000 But did you see what you see on your screen right now?
00:09:38.000 Did you see the guy run underneath them?
00:09:40.000 Did you see him yawn?
00:09:40.000 What kind of obstruction were they getting?
00:09:47.000 Pathetic class of losers.
00:09:48.000 Pathetic class.
00:09:49.000 So you can't inside with those people.
00:09:51.000 These are also the great environmentalists, by the way.
00:09:53.000 So UCLA's encampment was cleared.
00:09:56.000 And here's what it looked like afterward.
00:09:58.000 The UCLA encampment afterward.
00:09:59.000 These are people who love the environment.
00:10:02.000 That's beautiful.
00:10:03.000 Look at that.
00:10:03.000 Look at how they left the lawn in front of a Pell Library.
00:10:07.000 Their sad little Hamas homeless camp.
00:10:13.000 Aww.
00:10:14.000 But look how they left it.
00:10:17.000 They love the environment.
00:10:17.000 They love it.
00:10:19.000 About 200 people were in fact arrested at UCLA.
00:10:23.000 What I love is that they tried to create barriers with like plywood and zip ties.
00:10:29.000 Honestly God, these people wouldn't survive five minutes in an actual zombie apocalypse.
00:10:34.000 Amazing, amazing stuff.
00:10:35.000 But the question really is who's behind all of this, right?
00:10:38.000 And the answer is pretty obvious.
00:10:39.000 The administrators and the faculty.
00:10:40.000 The administrators and the faculty.
00:10:42.000 And outside agitating groups, some of whom are funded by actual terror supporters.
00:10:46.000 So, speaking of the administration and the faculty, again, as I mentioned yesterday, this is an inside-outside game.
00:10:50.000 The administration and faculty at many, if not most, of America's colleges and universities are on the side of the people who despise the country.
00:10:57.000 They are openly on their side.
00:11:00.000 The New York Times has an entire piece At UCLA, a few professors helped negotiate with the university.
00:11:09.000 At Columbia, they guarded the encampment.
00:11:12.000 But not all faculty members are on board.
00:11:15.000 In the dark hours of Thursday morning, as the police cracked down on the protests, faculty members were linking arms with students, allowing themselves to be arrested.
00:11:22.000 It was one of the clearest instances of a little-noted fact of the student demonstrations against the war in Gaza, that a small fraction of faculty members at UCLA, Columbia, and other universities have provided logistical and emotional support to the protesters.
00:11:35.000 Now, here's the thing about this.
00:11:37.000 It is not a small percentage.
00:11:39.000 Because as it turns out, the administration is perfectly willing to allow the corruption of their own universities.
00:11:46.000 Over at Columbia University, as David Bernstein is reporting, one Columbia professor told his own students, in honor of the protesters, I'm not going to give you guys finals.
00:11:58.000 You all just got an A for the course.
00:12:01.000 Meanwhile, At Rutgers, the Rutgers administration has now surrendered to the protesters, saying that they will allow them a hearing on whether the university ought to divest from companies that invest in the state of Israel.
00:12:13.000 That is the same deal that was made over at Brown University.
00:12:16.000 The same deal was made at University of Minnesota.
00:12:18.000 Northwestern went even further.
00:12:19.000 They said they were going to grant full tuition breaks for Palestinian students and immediate jobs to Palestinian professors.
00:12:27.000 Why is the administration doing all this?
00:12:29.000 By the way, Northwestern simultaneously decided to get rid of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Preventing Antisemitism and Hate.
00:12:38.000 Why?
00:12:38.000 Because seven members of the committee resigned because this antisemitism committee was a joke.
00:12:44.000 They stepped down immediately because it turns out the administration decided to undercut them by making a deal with the student protesters.
00:12:52.000 The faculty and administrators agree.
00:12:54.000 The elites in our country do not like the country.
00:12:59.000 The elitists in our country, they do not like the country.
00:13:01.000 They think the country is very bad.
00:13:02.000 They do not stand with the University of Mississippi frat boys who are singing the Star Spangled Banner and trying to save the American flag.
00:13:09.000 They stand with the people who burned the American flag.
00:13:11.000 It is perfectly clear that this is the case.
00:13:13.000 And this is bleeding down into our public school system as well.
00:13:17.000 According to the Times of Israel, hundreds of students held sit-ins at Chicago public high schools in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza on Wednesday.
00:13:27.000 Apparently, the school administrations have denied a request to hold a vigil after the October 7th onslaught, but allowed hundreds of students to participate in a January walkout along with other Chicago public schools calling for a ceasefire.
00:13:44.000 Our entire educational system, in blue states particularly, is deeply, deeply corrupt.
00:13:49.000 So that is problem number one.
00:13:50.000 Problem number two is that colleges and universities, as we suggested yesterday, have become training grounds for activist leftists.
00:13:56.000 That's all they are.
00:13:57.000 They are staking their reputation on the continuing success of their hard science programs, and then on the basis of that success, they are creating, essentially, an adjunct left-wing activist training think tank.
00:14:09.000 And that's what many of these colleges and universities are.
00:14:11.000 I'll get to more on this in just one second.

00:15:16.000 More info in the description of this podcast.
00:15:19.000 But who's paying for the outside groups that are agitating?
00:15:21.000 Well, we know the answer to that.
00:15:23.000 According to the New York Post, George Soros has funneled more than $15 million since 2016 to groups behind pro-Hamas protests.
00:15:32.000 That's not a surprise.
00:15:33.000 George Soros is wildly anti-Israel.
00:15:35.000 George Soros is, in fact, an anti-American left-wing radical.
00:15:42.000 Meanwhile, a lawsuit has now been filed representing victims of the October 7th Hamas terror attack on Israel by the law firm Greenberg Traurig, which is a very famous law firm, They filed a lawsuit in the U.S.
00:15:55.000 District Court for the Eastern Division of Virginia against AJP Educational Foundation, aka American Muslims for Palestine and National Students for Justice in Palestine.
00:16:04.000 Many of these protests are operating via funding from those groups, which is why you see the same types of tents everywhere and the same types of signs and all the rest of this.
00:16:12.000 The lawsuit seeks compensatory damages for nine American and Israeli victims of the attack and alleges that AMP and NSJP work in the United States as collaborators and propagandists for Hamas.
00:16:24.000 The suit notes that both of these national student groups, pseudo-student groups, are the current version of several prior entities that were already determined by the United States government to be supporters of Hamas.
00:16:35.000 The lawsuit says that plaintiffs have been and continue to be injured because AMP and NSJP knowingly provide continuous, systematic, and substantial assistance to Hamas and its affiliates' acts of international terrorism.
00:16:50.000 They say that AMP and NSJP are not merely organizing to assist Hamas' ongoing terror campaign abroad, they are intentionally extending their aid to fomenting chaos, violence, and terror in the United States.
00:17:00.000 We also know that many of these universities are overtly funded by foreign powers.
00:17:08.000 They are funded by nations like Qatar.
00:17:11.000 That they receive funding from various other states in the Middle East that propagandize on behalf of Hamas and on behalf of Palestinian terrorism.
00:17:21.000 That's where all of this is coming from.
00:17:23.000 So, if you have to take a side, why is it that the President of the United States cannot?
00:17:27.000 So yesterday, Joe Biden finally made a long verbal statement about what's going on in America's college campuses.
00:17:34.000 And he couldn't take a side, as per his usual arrangement.
00:17:38.000 So here is Joe Biden's complete statement.
00:17:40.000 We're gonna stop and start it and go through it.
00:17:42.000 Because basically he is doing what Democrats have been doing this entire time, since October 7th.
00:17:47.000 And really long before.
00:17:48.000 Because you remember when Ilhan Omar, vicious and virulent anti-Semite, was supposed to be condemned by the House.
00:17:54.000 They said, well we condemn all hate.
00:17:56.000 And this is the usual formulation from the White House.
00:17:59.000 We condemn anti-Semitism and also Islamophobia.
00:18:03.000 Which is completely irrelevant.
00:18:05.000 It is completely irrelevant and unrelated.
00:18:07.000 The only reason for linking those two things is to suggest that pro-Israel supporters are similarly Islamophobic the way that anti-Israel people are anti-Semitic in general.
00:18:18.000 Doesn't mean every anti-Israel person in terms of Israel's policies is anti-Semitic.
00:18:21.000 It means that the Venn diagram between people who hate Israel and people who hate Jews, those are concentric circles.
00:18:29.000 In any case, here is Joe Biden's statement.
00:18:33.000 Before I head to North Carolina, I wanted to speak for a few moments about what's going on on our college campuses here.
00:18:40.000 We've all seen the images, and they put to the test two fundamental American principles.
00:18:48.000 The first is the right to free speech and for people to peacefully assemble and make their voices heard.
00:18:55.000 The second is the rule of law.
00:18:58.000 Both must be upheld.
00:19:00.000 We are not an authoritarian nation where we silence people or squash dissent.
00:19:05.000 The American people are heard.
00:19:07.000 In fact, peaceful protest is in the best tradition of how Americans respond to consequential issues.
00:19:14.000 But, but... Okay, let's pause it there for a second.
00:19:17.000 Okay, you'll notice that Joe Biden here is trying to break down this issue into an issue of free speech.
00:19:22.000 Okay, this...
00:19:25.000 is really two issues.
00:19:26.000 No one is arguing that moron students don't have the right to legally protest anything they want to.
00:19:32.000 They can.
00:19:33.000 This is also the same Joe Biden who declared that a protest in Charlottesville, before it became violent, was in fact an act of evil, depending on the viewpoint expressed at the protest.
00:19:43.000 Joe Biden has no such words for the people who are literally protesting while shouting anti-Semitic slogans.
00:19:49.000 He has no such words for those people, as we'll see.
00:19:52.000 Neither are we a lawless country.
00:19:55.000 We're a civil society.
00:19:57.000 And order must prevail.
00:19:59.000 Throughout our history, we've often faced moments like this because we are a big, diverse, free-thinking, and freedom-loving nation.
00:20:07.000 And moments like this are always those who rush in to score political points.
00:20:13.000 But this isn't a moment for politics.
00:20:15.000 It's a moment for clarity.
00:20:17.000 So let me be clear.
00:20:18.000 Peaceful protests in America Violent protest is not protected.
00:20:23.000 Peaceful protest is.
00:20:25.000 It's against the law when violence occurs.
00:20:28.000 Destroying property is not a peaceful protest.
00:20:31.000 It's against the law.
00:20:33.000 Vandalism, trespassing, breaking windows, shutting down campuses, forcing the cancellation of classes and graduations, none of this is a peaceful protest.
00:20:43.000 Threatening people, intimidating people, instilling fear in people is not a peaceful protest.
00:20:49.000 It's against the law.
00:20:51.000 Dissent is essential to democracy, but dissent must never lead to disorder or to denying the rights of others so students can finish the semester and their college education.
00:21:01.000 Look, it's basically a matter of fairness.
00:21:04.000 It's a matter of what's right.
00:21:06.000 There's the right to protest, but not the right to cause chaos.
00:21:11.000 People have the right to get an education.
00:21:12.000 So he paused there for a second.
00:21:13.000 Okay, so he's putting all his focus here.
00:21:15.000 Why is he putting all his focus here?
00:21:16.000 The reason he's putting all of his focus here is because this is an easy line for him to draw.
00:21:20.000 For any politician to draw.
00:21:22.000 Yeah, sure, you can carry a sign, but you're not allowed to break a window.
00:21:25.000 Okay, that's an easy one.
00:21:26.000 It's amazing that it's taken him this long to actually make a forceful statement about it.
00:21:30.000 But we all know the reason for that.
00:21:32.000 And that's because he sympathizes with many of the claims of the protesters.
00:21:36.000 Or at the very least, he doesn't want to offend them because he's afraid that if he does,
00:21:39.000 he'll lose Dearborn, Michigan and with it the election.
00:21:40.000 Which, by the way, is an idiotic idea.
00:21:43.000 He can lose Dearborn and still win the election.
00:21:44.000 But, you know, he is an idiot.
00:21:46.000 We'll get to more on this in just a moment.

00:22:49.000 So here's the president continuing along these lines.
00:22:51.000 You'll note at this point that these protests, which have been about anti-Semitism from day one, the first spate of these protests broke out between October 7th and Israel even retaliating against Hamas.
00:23:04.000 But here is Joe Biden.
00:23:05.000 We are now like a minute and a half into the statement.
00:23:08.000 Joe Biden still has not mentioned anti-Semitism.
00:23:09.000 When he does, you'll see what he does.
00:23:12.000 As always, he will mealy mouth it.
00:23:14.000 The right to get an education, the right to get a degree, The right to walk across the campus safely without fear of being attacked.
00:23:23.000 But let's be clear about this as well.
00:23:25.000 There should be no place on any campus, no place in America, for anti-Semitism or threats of violence against Jewish students.
00:23:34.000 There is no place for hate speech or violence of any kind, whether it's anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, or discrimination against Arab Americans or Palestinian Americans.
00:23:45.000 It's simply wrong.
00:23:46.000 OK, pause right there.
00:23:47.000 That's that's an amazing statement, right?
00:23:48.000 The protests that we're watching here is tens of thousands of students,
00:23:52.000 many, if not most of whom are perfectly fine with Jew hatred.
00:23:56.000 Where are the mass protests in which there is violence done to Palestinians
00:24:03.000 on every major college campus?
00:24:05.000 Even at UCLA.
00:24:06.000 What happened at UCLA is that the Palestinian, pro-Palestinian students at UCLA were engaged in violent law breaking at UCLA and people from the community around then similarly violated the law and got in a scrum with them.
00:24:20.000 But across the country, what we are watching right now is a bunch of anti-Semitic people who are engaged in violence and intimidation.
00:24:28.000 And even if they weren't engaged in violence and intimidation, if they were engaged in, say, white supremacist marches, do you think that Joe Biden would be ignoring it?
00:24:36.000 Or saying, you know, we don't like anything.
00:24:37.000 We don't like white supremacy.
00:24:38.000 And also we hate hatred against white people.
00:24:41.000 You think he would be doing that?
00:24:43.000 The reason he's splitting the baby, the reason he's being mealy-mouthed, the reason that every single democratic statement about anti-Semitism has to be paired with Islamophobia is to create a moral equivalence suggesting that being pro-Israel is anti-Arab or anti-Muslim in the same way that being pro-Hamas is anti-Semitic, which is an absurdity.
00:25:06.000 But, of course, that's Joe Biden.
00:25:08.000 He refuses to pick a side, in other words.
00:25:10.000 As I said at the very top, it's very easy to pick a side.
00:25:14.000 And if Joe Biden picked a side, by the way, it would serve him well politically.
00:25:17.000 He might alienate a few crazies on college campuses.
00:25:21.000 Those crazies are going to vote for Cornel West or Jill Stein anyway.
00:25:24.000 What he might do is buy back a position of moderation that he has lost throughout his dumb administration.
00:25:29.000 But he won't do it.
00:25:31.000 And he's going back to very bad people on both sides.
00:25:34.000 Here we go.
00:25:35.000 You're wrong.
00:25:35.000 There's no place for racism in America.
00:25:38.000 It's all wrong.
00:25:39.000 It's on America.
00:25:41.000 I understand people's strong feelings and deep convictions.
00:25:44.000 In America, we respect the right and protect the right for them to express that.
00:25:50.000 But it doesn't mean anything goes.
00:25:53.000 It needs to be done without violence, without destruction, without hate, and within the law.
00:26:01.000 You know, make no mistake, as President, I will always defend free speech.
00:26:05.000 And I will always be just as strong in standing up for the rule of law.
00:26:10.000 That's my responsibility to you, the American people.
00:26:12.000 We know all of this is a lie.
00:26:13.000 My obligation to the Constitution.
00:26:14.000 Okay, I'm sorry, we don't need any more of this.
00:26:16.000 When he says that he's gonna stand up for free speech, let's remember, this is the same administration that put pressure on all of the social media companies to bar information they didn't like.
00:26:25.000 This is the same exact administration that when he says he's gonna protect rule of law, that has presided over the disintegration of rule of law in America's major cities.
00:26:34.000 This is the Democratic Party that presided over that.
00:26:38.000 The reason that he can't pick a side is because if he picks a side, he's either going to have to pick people who hate America or people who like America.
00:26:44.000 And there are too many people on his own side of the aisle who really hate America, who think America is deeply bad.
00:26:49.000 Now, there are people on his side of the aisle, to be fair to Joe Biden, who legitimately are siding with the protesters.
00:26:54.000 Among them is the communist, useless person, Bernie Sanders.
00:27:01.000 A stain on American political history, Bernie Sanders.
00:27:05.000 An absolute joke of a human being who's been elevated to relative power because he did the best thing any politician can do.
00:27:11.000 He ran against Hillary Clinton.
00:27:14.000 He says that all these people who are protesting, they're out there for the right reasons.
00:27:17.000 They're out there for the right reasons.
00:27:19.000 As they shout, globalize the intifada.
00:27:21.000 And as they deny the atrocities of October 7th.
00:27:24.000 And as they wave Hamas flags.
00:27:25.000 And burn American flags.
00:27:26.000 They're out there for the right reasons, says Bernie.
00:27:30.000 I think it's important to understand why these young people are out there and they are out there for the right reasons, to protest U.S.
00:27:37.000 continued military aid and money to a right-wing extremist Netanyahu government, which is in a destructive war against the Palestinian people.
00:27:47.000 He is such a viciously disgusting human being, Bernie Sanders.
00:27:51.000 The right wing, it's a unity government.
00:27:53.000 Every element that he says there is wrong.
00:27:55.000 A war against the Palestinian people.
00:27:57.000 I guess that's why they're shipping in 500 aid trucks a day, which, by the way, are being hijacked by Hamas as we speak.
00:28:01.000 We'll get to more on this in a moment.
00:28:02.000 First, a child's life is molded by his or her home, school, friends, community.

00:29:00.000 Go check them out right now.
00:29:01.000 Cars4Kids.org slash Ben.
00:29:03.000 Literally as we speak, the United States announced yesterday that Hamas managed to seize a major shipment of humanitarian aid that was delivered to Gaza from Jordan earlier this week after the supplies were the first to be shipped to the enclave through a newly reopened Israeli border crossing.
00:29:19.000 But apparently, Israel is responsible for all of this, according to Bernie Sanders, so the protesters, they're good now.
00:29:23.000 They're good now.
00:29:24.000 Of course Bernie Sanders is fine with protesters hating America.
00:29:27.000 That dude doesn't like America.
00:29:28.000 He thinks America is systemically racist, and systemically corrupt, and the meritocracy is evil.
00:29:33.000 What do you expect from a dolt who honeymooned in the Soviet Union?
00:29:39.000 Or take Marc Lamont Hill, still a respected member of the credulous left, who's actively encouraging protesters to, quote, tear some bleep up On Jason Whitlock's show, of course.
00:29:52.000 So, to me, at the end of the day, no problem.
00:29:56.000 No problem at all with disruption.
00:29:58.000 Again, you don't have to tear up the whole university, but making the university uncomfortable is exactly what you're supposed to do.
00:30:05.000 And I'm a parent of a college student, and I... You know what I'm saying?
00:30:08.000 Like, I'm okay with it.
00:30:09.000 Get your grades done, but tear some s*** up, too.
00:30:11.000 Yeah.
00:30:13.000 Michael Monhill.
00:30:14.000 Genius.
00:30:16.000 Or maybe you're like Chris Hayes over at MSNBC and what you really sympathize with the flag burners, but you understand the optics are bad.
00:30:23.000 So don't look at them.
00:30:25.000 Don't look at them.
00:30:27.000 Which is an amazing statement.
00:30:28.000 I do love the look at them.
00:30:30.000 They're so important.
00:30:30.000 All their perspectives are so.
00:30:31.000 Oh my God, they're burning American flags.
00:30:33.000 Don't look at them.
00:30:34.000 That is the Chris Hayes routine here.
00:30:37.000 Seriously, the scale of human suffering that's happening in Gaza doesn't mean you must come down the side of the protesters, certainly.
00:30:43.000 There are many people who think the war is a brutal but necessary campaign for Israel's defense.
00:30:49.000 What it does necessitate is that you weigh all the human suffering against the actual endgame of the conflict that is currently being waged and is unarticulated as of now.
00:31:00.000 A conflict the U.S.
00:31:01.000 continues to support.
00:31:04.000 Our humanity demands we focus on those questions first and last.
00:31:11.000 Oh, first and last?
00:31:12.000 So we shouldn't focus on the tens of thousands of American students who hate the country.
00:31:15.000 We shouldn't focus on that, like, right here at home.
00:31:17.000 We should ignore those people.
00:31:19.000 By the way, again, he's lying.
00:31:21.000 Israel has made very clear its war aims.
00:31:23.000 The complete destruction of Hamas's military capacity and the freeing of its hostages.
00:31:27.000 That's been literally the game since day one, which is why I've noticed that Chris Hayes has never called for a full-scale surrender of Hamas to end this war.
00:31:36.000 All of his pressure is brought to bear on Israel, of course, of course.
00:31:40.000 Now, again, this is actually not tough.
00:31:42.000 The reason that Donald Trump is doing well in this election cycle is because Donald Trump understands this.
00:31:47.000 So here's President Trump's response to these radical anti-American jackasses all over the country.
00:31:54.000 Just so you understand, this is the radical left.
00:31:56.000 This is a movement from the left, not from the right.
00:31:59.000 The right is not your problem, despite what law enforcement likes to say.
00:32:03.000 The FBI director said that he worries about the right.
00:32:08.000 Now, don't worry about the right.
00:32:09.000 The right's fine.
00:32:11.000 Worry about the left, because this is a movement from the left.
00:32:14.000 These are radical left lunatics.
00:32:17.000 And they got to be stopped now because it's going to go on and on and it's going to get worse and worse.
00:32:22.000 And you know, they take over countries, OK?
00:32:24.000 And we're not letting them take over the USA.
00:32:27.000 We're not letting the radical left morons take over this country.
00:32:33.000 You can't let that happen.
00:32:34.000 Want to know why Donald Trump's up in the polls?
00:32:38.000 Because that's correct.
00:32:40.000 Because he's not just saying that violence is bad.
00:32:43.000 Yes, we all understand violence is bad.
00:32:45.000 Unless, of course, this Black Lives Matter protester is doing $2 billion in property damage.
00:32:48.000 Then it's kind of okay.
00:32:50.000 But, he's actually saying their viewpoints are bad and wrong.
00:32:54.000 Because their viewpoints are in fact bad and wrong.
00:32:56.000 And they may have a right to express those viewpoints, those viewpoints are still bad and wrong.
00:32:59.000 By the way, points to Donald Trump for truly understanding, like on a gut level, the conflict in the Middle East.
00:33:04.000 There's a reason that it was under Donald Trump the Abraham Accords happened.
00:33:07.000 Because he understands that this is a very morally clear situation in the Middle East.
00:33:11.000 Israel is a liberal, democratic, free speech oriented, rights oriented state in the Middle East.
00:33:19.000 And its enemies hate America, hate women, despise minorities, kill them, and wish to impose Sharia law and terrorism on everybody around them.
00:33:30.000 Donald Trump understands that.
00:33:33.000 You know who else understands that, by the way?
00:33:34.000 All the various Muslim countries that don't give two craps about aspirations for Palestinian statehood and actually oppose them.
00:33:41.000 It's only idiots like Joe Biden and his pro-Iran interior team that think, somehow, that a Palestinian state would be a boon to the region.
00:33:49.000 Which is why even the Saudis are like, can you stop talking to us about this?
00:33:51.000 Like, we don't care about this.
00:33:52.000 How do I know that Donald Trump gets it?
00:33:53.000 He did an interview with Time Magazine and full, like, real points for Donald Trump because President Trump gets it.
00:33:59.000 Quote, Most people thought the solution was going to be a two-state solution.
00:34:02.000 I'm not sure a two-state solution anymore is going to work.

00:39:18.000 Okay, so meanwhile, big controversy has broken out over this anti-anti-Semitism bill, the Anti-Semitism Awareness Act of 2023.
00:39:24.000 Now, I talked about this at length yesterday, and I talked about why I have problems with the bill.
00:39:28.000 What the bill seeks to do is expand Title VI protections, sort of, definitionally.
00:39:34.000 So, Title VI, as we discussed yesterday on the show, and if you want a full breakdown of the actual issue and why I think that the bill is a bad idea, you should listen to yesterday's show, but the very short version of that is that Title VI of the Civil Rights Act prevents discriminatory environments from existing on college campuses on the basis of race, ethnicity, and the like.
00:39:52.000 The problem with that is, of course, it's incredibly vague.
00:39:54.000 So I have problems with Title VI in general.
00:39:57.000 What this act sought to do was make sure that anti-Semitism was covered by Title VI.
00:40:02.000 It used the definition from the International Holocaust Remembrance Association, the IHRA definition of antisemitism, as advisory.
00:40:12.000 The reason that I think this is kind of a problem is because it's a pretty broad definition, the IHRA definition.
00:40:18.000 Being quibble with some of the wording in the IHRA definition.
00:40:21.000 And beyond that, I don't think that expanding the reach of Title VI is actually the solution.
00:40:26.000 I think the actual solution for Congress is just to defund these universities because they're left-wing think tanks and activist training centers.
00:40:31.000 Just defund them.
00:40:32.000 Just defund various crap departments that are completely useless.
00:40:36.000 Restructure the universities.
00:40:37.000 Stop giving federal aid to people to study gender studies at Columbia.
00:40:40.000 It's dumb.
00:40:41.000 That would be the actual answer.
00:40:43.000 And of course, arrest and prosecute people who violate the law.
00:40:46.000 That would be the actual answer to a lot of this.
00:40:48.000 Allow universities to have their own student codes of conduct that they then enforce.
00:40:52.000 Okay, but one of the claims that's being made is that this bill somehow makes unlawful Christianity.
00:41:00.000 That is not what this bill does.
00:41:01.000 Anybody who's claiming that is lying to you.
00:41:04.000 The bill, again, I oppose the bill because I think that it is overbroad and because I don't think you should use the tools of Title VI to expand those tools any more than I think the DEI should be expanded to quote-unquote cover Jews.
00:41:14.000 DEI is bad in its essence and should be destroyed.
00:41:17.000 This bill does not ban Christianity or the New Testament or anything like that.
00:41:22.000 I know that because I've read the bill and because I know things like the law and how English works.
00:41:27.000 So, what the bill does, the Antisemitism Awareness Act of 2023, it is designed to effectively give a definition to antisemitism in an advisory capacity such that Title VI can be applied to cover Jews.
00:41:42.000 So here's what it says, in reviewing, investigating, or deciding whether there has
00:41:46.000 been a violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 on the basis of
00:41:50.000 race, color, or national origin based on an individual's actual or perceived shared
00:41:54.000 Jewish ancestry or Jewish ethnic characteristics, the Department of Education
00:41:58.000 shall take into consideration the definition of anti-Semitism as part of
00:42:02.000 the department's assessment of whether the practice was motivated by anti-Semitic
00:42:05.000 intents.
00:42:05.000 So as part of it, but not dispositive.
00:42:07.000 In other words, if the IHRA definition says that a thing is probably motivated by antisemitism, take that into account just because if you don't know anything about antisemitism, you can look to the definition and maybe that gives you a clue.
00:42:17.000 But it's not dispositive.
00:42:19.000 It doesn't answer the question.
00:42:20.000 And what's more, the act explicitly says, quote, nothing in this act shall be construed To diminish or infringe upon any right protected under the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
00:42:34.000 Also, nothing in this Act shall be construed to expand the authority of the Department of Education, or to alter the standards pursuant to which the Department of Education makes a determination that harassing conduct amounts to actionable discrimination.
00:42:46.000 Or, to diminish or infringe upon the rights protected under any other provision of law that is in effect as the date of enactment of this Act.
00:42:51.000 In other words, we're not violating the First Amendment.
00:42:54.000 If this comes into conflict with the First Amendment, it shouldn't be applied in that way.
00:42:57.000 The Act itself says that.
00:43:00.000 So, all of the claims that this is intended to say, like, do away with Christianity and the... You're right.
00:43:06.000 200 Republicans voted to do away with Christianity.
00:43:09.000 Nailed it.
00:43:10.000 Again, I can think the bill's a bad idea, and I do think the bill's a bad idea, and I think there are much better means to quash the leftist agitation on America's college campuses than this bill.
00:43:22.000 Also, like, at a certain point, you might want to actually read the bill and what it says, as opposed to doing a dumb thing where you read three words out of context and then ignore the rest of the clauses of the bill.
00:43:33.000 And if you want my specific critiques of the IHRA definition of antisemitism, listen to yesterday's show.
00:43:37.000 I go through it in detail.
00:43:39.000 Hey, meanwhile, on the free speech issue, Elon Musk is, meanwhile, under fire because he has decided to bring back self-declared anti-Semite Nick Fuentes.
00:43:50.000 Fuentes has been not on the surface since 2021, and Elon had said in the past that he didn't want to bring back Fuentes, and I had actually advocated that Fuentes be unbanned.
00:44:00.000 Despite the fact that Fuentes obviously has personal problems with me and really, really hates Jews and the like.
00:44:07.000 And so Elon Musk put out a statement saying, very well he will be reinstated provided he does not violate the law and let him be crushed by the comments and community notes.
00:44:13.000 It is better to have anti-whatever out in the open to be rebutted than grow simmering in the darkness.

00:48:15.000 Was that intentional?
00:48:16.000 And does the president want to apologize to Japan?
00:48:22.000 The broader case that he was trying to make, which I think most leaders and allies across the globe understand, is he was saying that when it comes to When it comes to who we are as a nation, we are a nation of immigrants.
00:48:38.000 That is in our DNA.
00:48:40.000 And so, you've heard the President say this, and you've heard us say it more as an administration.
00:48:45.000 It makes us better.
00:48:46.000 We are stronger for it because of the fact that in our DNA, we are a nation of immigrants.
00:48:52.000 And I think that's probably very important to note as well.
00:48:55.000 Well, um, that did not clarify anything, so thanks for that.
00:48:59.000 I'm sure that Japan and India feel much better about the President of the United States insulting them for being xenophobes.
00:49:04.000 Joe Biden is running a terrible re-elect campaign, which is why he is in bad shape right now.

00:50:01.000 This is a problem for Joe Biden.

00:51:12.000 of the United States. If you're sick and tired of trickle-down economics, who owns the economy?
00:51:16.000 Go for it, dude.
00:51:17.000 You know, this progress is part of my vision for an economy that grows from the middle out
00:51:23.000 and the bottom up, not just the top down. I'm sick and tired of trickle-down economics.
00:51:29.000 Well, I mean, good news for you then. Then trickle-down economics is not yours,
00:51:37.000 and this is your economy. So, I mean, I guess that trickle-down economics would be better than
00:51:41.000 whatever it is that you've created. Meanwhile, President Trump, I gotta tell you, him being in
00:51:45.000 court has meant that he's run a much more disciplined campaign.
00:51:48.000 This was my going theory, is that unintentionally, the fact that Donald Trump is not on Twitter, and the fact that Donald Trump is in court all day, is really good for his campaign.
00:51:57.000 Because it means that he has like five minutes in front of the cameras.
00:52:00.000 And in those five minutes, he says good things.
00:52:02.000 And then he goes down to like a bodega in New York, or a construction site, and poses with blue-collar people, and then goes back to court.
00:52:10.000 And he's putting out statements on Truth Social, and nobody's on Truth Social except for Donald Trump.
00:52:15.000 So that means that the messages from Donald Trump that tend to pervade are ones like this.
00:52:19.000 Here he goes going off on inflation.
00:52:22.000 So that's on the economy.
00:52:24.000 It looks pretty bleak for interest rates.
00:52:28.000 And I don't think there's any way they can cut them because inflation is very high.
00:52:31.000 Inflation, remember, is a country buster.
00:52:34.000 When you have inflation, that breaks countries.
00:52:36.000 I mean, literally breaks countries.
00:52:38.000 And we can't take that chance.
00:52:40.000 So we'll see what they do.
00:52:41.000 But it was sort of announced yesterday they can't do much with the interest rates.
00:52:45.000 They'll have to remain very high.
00:52:48.000 And that's very unfortunate.
00:52:49.000 We had low interest rates.
00:52:50.000 They have high interest rates.
